In this game, you play "Mouse" (you can rename him -I did), a thief/bard who is journeying to an island to play at the wedding of a popular ruler. But... All is not as it seems on the island. The bride is unhappy, the ruler has some secret, and there is something funny going on with time...

This game uses the same "time loop" plot device that you've seen in "Groundhog Day" and others. But here, it is a 5 days that repeat. The first "week", you are basically led by the hand to every major encounter by your beautiful, fiesty guide Rummy (the leggy redhead you see in the screenshots). After the first week, though, you are free to explore, figure things out and recruit people in whichever order you want. Didn't save whats-his-face on Day 4? Don't worry, next week he'll be alive again, and you can save him then.

Story: (8 out of 10) I won't give the main story away, but I enjoyed it. The time-loop plot device was a good twist, as you could do things differently the next week and see what happened.

Characters: (9 out of 10) I liked most of the characters, with the exception of the princess -she seemed bored, and to complacent. Rummy and Rinna where my favorites. The characters had personalities, and for the most parts, stuck to them well. Only games I like better for characters would be Grandia 2 and Lunar 2.

Combat: (7 out of 10) Party based, like most console RPG's. This time, though, attacks are happening simultaneously, so you need to choose your options quickly. I liked the skill system, and the ability to learn skills by watching other players. Still, I would have liked for it to pause while I was choosing options.

Graphics: (6 out of 10) This is the worst part of the game. Still, they are better than PSX quality. But they could have used better lighting. The character models are good though I especially liked Rinna and Rumi.

Enjoyability: (9 out of 10) Can't really put it into words, but I find this game very fun. Supposedly there are multiple endings, I'll try for each one. I feel I got my moneys worth on this game.

A lot of people seem to like the "guitar freaks" mini game. This is a minigame where you pluck tunes by matching colors that are scrolling up screen. Well, it wasn't my cup of tea, and to be honest I was horrible at it. But I found that it didn't really matter whether you were good at it or not. (One of my favorites: "oh, that must have been the 'progressive' style that I heard about!") So don't be put off if you can't play it. I can't, and still had fun!

Sever reviewers on the game sites seem to be bashing this game I believe they didn't play past the first week. The first week should really be considered an intro to the eventsthe game really begins on week 2.

True, I'll be the first too admit that EF has it's problems... problems that will smack you right upside the head a few times as soon as you start in fact. Example, whenever you look at a character head on, looks like they don't have a nose...okay that's not a gameplay flaw, but a graphical oddity. As to a gameplay factor, it is EXTREMELY non-linear after the first few days, so while it offers a ton of freedom to do as you please, that also means alot of chances to get lost. But still, once you getting past those inital hurdles, I think you'll found a very enjoyable story. Patience is the key in this game, and it will pay off if you can manage it.

Many people have steped on this game. I respect that, this game was not for them, much like some games are not for me, sports games, for instance. You will like this game if you like RPG's and fantasies and have a little patience. You will not like this game if you have a game shark and get board of games quickly. This game is not for those people. For my part, I think you should rent it and not listin to other people, see if you like it for yourself. I will leave one hint though: Without some kind of guide or gamefaqs.com, this game may take you a very, very long time to beat.

So that's what the guy at the store had told me when I decided I must have this game simply because it was an RPG and the cover was interesting enough. Spending [money] hasn't always been my favorite thing to do especially on PS2 games yet I must say this is probably one of the most pleasing investments I've made. The story basically is about a bard named Mouse (yeah... like those furry things with tails ^_^) who has been invited to compose and play a song at a wedding on an island. I really don't want to give any story away, but let's just say things don't go exactly as planned and Mouse ends up having to try and save the island. You can recruit up to 10 different people for your party and the graphics aren't that bad (especially for a dreamcast to ps2 conversion). The game is also in real time and certain objectives must be completed at certain times a lot like the Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. There is no speaking dialogue in it, though, and the game (like all RPGs) requires patience. I gave it a 5 star because I really like it, but unless you are a hardcore RPG fan I would suggest renting it before buying just to make sure you'll like it. If you're an RPG fan, on the other hand, ...what's stopping you from trying out this newest addition Konami has produced? (..They made the Suikoden series, I think they deserve a chance on this game hands down!)

Ephemeral Fantasia is one of the biggest games out there on the PS2. It combines all the natural elements of a great RPG, storyline, battle system, characters, music, and minigames.

Right when I started this game, I knew it would be a long game. You play as a a musician, Mouse, who has been hired to play at the princess's wedding on the island of Pandule. Only when you arrive, a dark secret about the island is revealed. The game is seperated into weeks with a monday tuesday type system, with a clock as well. You have to use the clock to meet certain people at the right time or complete a certain event. Timing is EVERYTHING in this game.

The island itself is giant, with tons and tons of characters to interact with. The island has 49 different map pieces you can collect, to show you around the island. It is just huge, with about 5 towns you can visit. Try and find shortcuts. The game contains 12 characters you can recruit onto your team. It will take time, patience, and thinking to recieve each character.....

The battle system is in real time so you must choose your attacks fast to avoid being attacked yourself. There are different skills you can learn called Arts. Make your Arts grow levels and you might learn a knew attack. You can also learn different attacks from you teammates, as well as tons of magic.

I was blown away by the variety in this game. But what is a game without the proper music. Have you ever played a game with the volume on mute? Well its pretty hard to play like that. This game have the coolest music, where ever you go, battle, or outside. You can also add on replay value to the game by using your guitar, Pattimo, to play different music, that is a very fun minigame, as well as Death Hykato raising, and tons more.

But seriously, Ephemeral Fantasia is a really cool game, with endless replay value, and pure fun. I would reccomend this game to all RPG players alike, this game is definatley a must buy for the PS2

Finally. This game is on the mark. My point of view is from legacy mode. Legacy mode is when you start out as a coach of a small school (I chose Western Illinois), and compete.

You scout your own high school talents. You visit them at home. You call them. They visit you. You are given scholarships to offer. You decide what your team will practice on. Offense. Defense. Shooting. Post play. All ON A DAILY BASIS!! If you decide to fly to New York to visit a player. You will be absent from practice for a couple of days, leaving your assistants in charge... or visa versa.

Gameplay is realistic as it comes. Shooting percentages ring true. Free throw shooting is realistic. Comes down to timing each individual shooters style of shooting.

I started out the season with a very tough schedule and I'm very good with ESPN COLLEGE HOOPS GAMES. Control are similar to previous games which I've owned. Right off the bat, I played the Iowa Hawkeyes... I hung with them for awhile... it was hard, but I did... it was close at halftime... but then my team ran out of gas and Iowa became very tough to stop. VERY REALISTIC!!

As Western Illinois... I played the number 2 team in the country 2 games later... and lost badly... again... REALISTIC... 106-65.

As the season has gone along... I, as the head coach, decided my team needed much work on defense... therefore, I garnered my practices as such. I work extra hard on defense... and to my much impressed surprise... my team improved in that area. I started off the season 2-6... then 4-8... and have won 11 straight to finish off the season 15-8.

This game rocks!! If you like realism in your college basketball game... this one is it!! Hands down. And belive me... I've been searching for this very thing.

You feel like a coach, and in my point of view... you feel like an underdog when you're Western Illinois.

Not to mention... look at the price!! Snatch this up and don't listen to these kids who are criticizing really dumb things. By the way... the announcing is very good. Sometimes it is off, a little, but other times they say some really cool and insightful things, sometimes even making you go... "Wow. It's as if this announcer is really watching my game.

UPDATE: A couple of flaws I've noticed is that the officiating is very anger inducing. They'll call charging on you when the guy is obviously running right along side you. You'll go up to shoot and the ball will be blocked out of bounds by a defender... and it's called out of bounds on YOU!! Everytime.

These are small errors. They'll make you angry... but what official doesn't.

In reading the negative reviews, most of them are from kids, who are under the age of 13. With their attention span less than 10 minutes for everything, do you honestly think they would appriciate the realism of NCAA College hoops or instead flock to the Arcade style of March Madness where you just mash buttons endlessly?

College Hoops takes off where the previous installment left off and builds on each feature. The post play is much improved over last year's title, though executing some moves in the post is frustrating. Turnovers occur more frequently now when you make stupid passes. Balls no longer just "materialize" through defenders to get to the player receiving the pass. If a defender is in the way, the ball is going to bounce off him. You have to make intelligent, on-the-court decisions.

The gameplay may be adjusted with sliders. Personally, I like to make it challenging so games are much more realistic. It isn't fun (or realistic) when you win every game 150-38. If Duke is playing UNC, the game SHOULD be within 10 points. If Duke is playing Radford, well, a blowout SHOULD occur. I like to adjust the sliders to make dunks and layups easy (they are hard on the default setting) and make jump shots a bit more challenging while increasing the defense for both the human and AI. This way, you can play games with realistic scores and stats and feel somewhat satisfied when you play as Creighton and defeat Illinois by 3.

Recruiting is much more advanced than the 2004 title. It is a bit overwhelming at first, but after awhile and a few times doing it, it really grows on you and you realize how much more effective and effecient this version is. You have a pre-determined amount of recruiting points, depending on the size of your school. Small schools have 3000. Mid majors have 4000. Major schools have 5000 (Major schools would include the likes of Fresno State, the A-10 teams like St. Joe and Xavier), and Power schools have 6000 (the big boys like the Big 12 and ACC). Each action you choose to do in recruiting has a point and time value associated with it. Your assistants help you in recruiting if they can, or if they aren't good at it, you don't want them to help. You can email recruits, call them, visit them, scout their games, invite them to your campus, and offer them scholarships. But unlike last year, you can do this all season long during the recruiting period. You can visit a player up to 6 times and you can call him always, limited to one call per week per recruit (as long as you have the points available).

This is a very in depth game and is very good. It appeals to the older crowd though, as kids get frustrated by the realism and non-arcade style. You can make this game like that with the sliders, but it just isn't fun IMO.

This game is a very good game. It's got a very cool legacy mode and that is usually why i buy sports game is for the franchise modes. This mode is decent with a few problems but overall is ok. A new addition is the coaching carousel which is pretty realistic. A good coach from a crappy school goes to a better, but struggling school and the crappy school gets a crappy coach from a crappier school.I like how there is goals for yourself to accomplish. For instance 200 or 500 career wins.The gameplay is a little diffucult at first but then it gets much easier once you get used to it.But the gameplay is pretty fun.I also like the juke box and the ice hockeye in the student lounge.This game cost me 20$ and i got it causeEA NCCA College was 50$ at the time,but now that it is only 30$ maybe now it is better deal.

You might write off the above as just blind praise, but I'm serious. ID has been considered the only sim ball game to come out this gen. Actually this gen has been pretty sad unless you count DC. NBA 2K1 was really on to something then 2K2 started a downward trend. This game also beats down NBA Live 2005 and NBA 2K5. Right off the bat it's obvious the game was made with SIM priority.

The first thing I did was go online(bb only for some reason) and was instantly hooked. This game is easily the finest head to head basketball game you'll find mainly because it's pretty much cheese proof. Go jack up 3's and they won't drop. Try to crossover and just turbo into the paint, you'll get a well-deserved charge. Pass the ball corner to corner and you'll most likely get a TO. More often then not the person who knows their team and takes the smartest shots wins. The game is still paint-camper friendly with a LOONG 3 sec. violation and on default(not tweakable online) in-close shots are slightly too hard. But the positives far outweigh the negatives. Lag isn't a factor. The interface is Sega's best yet and is on par with XBL. The big draw for me is the league play...it makes playing Legacy mode difficult to go back to.

Another positive is the fouls. On default hacking away will get you on the bench quick, this really helps online. Plenty of shooting fouls are called, and the loose ball foul from the NBA game is back but not called enough. This is the ONLY game besides ID to get fouls right, and the ONLY game to get it right online. Free throw shooting is great, you can't master the system so you'll hit around the NCAA ave. of high 60 %'s at times instead of going 28/29.

All of these aspects and some great rim physics combine for a great game. No other basketball game has gotten all of the above things right, if someone tells you so they are lying. Another thing, turn off biorythim. Your kids will go through streaks without it, this just makes things uneven.

Speaking of Legacy it's set up really well. I'm not far, but one problem is the league leaders seem random. Other than that it's good, it's just at times playing the cpu. can get redundant fast.

The graphics have improved a lot and the view angles are great. No more jerky animation, most of them are really nice this year. The stadiums feel different from one another.

Don't worry about NBA 2K5's faults, they are much more subdoed in this game.

To me college basketball is better than the NBA so I kind of like playing this better. Todays NBA(and videogames) are dilluted by flash and selfishness, that will get you blown out in this game.

All is not well, however nothing here is a "gamekiller".

Here's the gripe list:

Running plays on offense is clunky. Mainly because players take too many steps after catching the ball.

Consolidation. If someone is inches behind me I don't want the player cocking the ball back for a two-handed dunk so it can get blocked. Same thing with layups. Sometimes the window of opportunity is wiped away because of an unecessary double pump fake reverse layup that could of just been kissed off the glass.

For whatever reason nobody covers the outlet pass on the break.

Traps/presses are still too easy to break.

Although it's coming along, the main fault of just about every Sega Sports title is still around. Playing the cpu. can bore the daylights out of me. Each team for the most part plays like the other. I used to enjoy one player on the genesis Live games but in this game the cpu is just bland. One very annoying thing is the amount of alley-oops the cpu. will resort to at times.

No ESPN videogame would be without glitches. The clipping from NBA 2K5 is still here(not as bad), so you'll see weird stuff like balls getting blocked go in etc...

The sound/atmosphere is poor, kind of a downer b/c CB is known for it's crazy enviornment. The play-by-play is average, but the chants are universal and get repetitive fast. So you don't hear "go state go" at Michigan State you hear "here we go Spartans here we go" and after a few games it's unbearable. The crowd is average, but completely cut off. The band doesn't come in and out at the appropiate times.

Overall the good easily outweighs the bad. If you are a fan of b-ball(NBA or college) this is a must-have. If you want more sloppy arcade-style play, keep playing your NBA Live/2K.

I have been a loyal consumer of the ea sports march madness basketball games since the very first one. Untill I started trying out the Espn games under the sega name. first of all the price is worth a game that is just okay but not great. But this game does live up to the hype. the game goes deeper in the aspect of being a head coach then I have ever seen before and recruiting is just like you are in charge. and it has the best graphics I have ever seen in a sports game. I can't wait to try more espn games in the future.

This is a good game for ages 8 and up. Although it might catch the attention of younger kids, it might be a bit too creepy and scarry for them. I say this because different than just watching the movie, your in control of the character's every move and there are many unknown nooks and crannies to look through which have unexpecting outcomes (The spooky music and sound effects don't help either). An example of what I am saying is such, I have a 5 yr old son and a 7 yr old daughter, they like to watch when I play the game but don't want any part of the control for themselves. More than half the time the end up leaving the room while I keep playing.

First off, this is an amazing arcade stick with great packaging. You can also mod this stick. There are quite a few resources on the net about this. do a search for Art's Hobbies and Joystick in google to find out.

If you're reading this review, and wondering, is this stick worth the price, the answer is yes. It's a really expensive stick, that's for sure, but you get what you pay for. If you're a retrogamer like me and you spend hours playing not only fighting games but Pac-Man CE, Afterburner Climax, Final Fight DI, etc for the latest consoles, then you owe it to yourself to pick up one.

The Sanwa buttons aren't concave like how you remember most US arcade machines, they are japanese styled, but this actually makes them faster to use, and you won't regret it after using it. They're very light and sensitive. It does take some getting used to to convert from a pad to this stick, but you'll be happy you did.

As far as the square gate goes, it didn't really give me any problems with QCF/QCB type moves. You just have to give it a bit to get used to it. The sticks look really great in your house when you have friends over, and if you're enterprising you can toss the artwork and get artwork in there that is done custom (will probably void warranty tho). I imagine all kinds of players might want a PacMan, Robotron, Afterburner, Outrun, or even Taito Viewlix designs on there.

You can get really nice custom sticks out there for around 200 dollars, so if price isn't a concern you might want to support your community instead of a corporation, but on the other hand you have it all right here. The price and availability does seem to fluctuate alot, so waiting might get you a cheaper stick.

To sum up, if you want quality but can't afford it, put 20 dollars a week aside and in a little over a month you can invest in this stick which will last a long time, and will surely be worth it if you are into playing games the way they were meant to be played and not with the abomination of modern console pads.

Very good stick very responsive, you barely even have to touch a button for it to engage. well balanced doesn't move around alot, if at all. Will take some time getting use to if you are converting from a game pad. I recommend the stick to a serious gamer, if your just having fun and not serious about street fighter or any fighter this isn't the route for you!! but if you are you will be completely satisfied!!

Certainly this stick is a little pricey but in the end it is worth it. The design is heavy duty and will last for a TON of fights. It is also modable which makes it an even better value. Most Hori sticks will run you about the same amount of money or more and won't be as durable or have as responsive buttons. Best stick I've ever owned and Madcatz will be my source for all my future fightstick purchases.

I have to admit, Madcatz has come one hell of a long way. They did a great job with the rockband instruments and the "tournament edition" and "S-Series" fight sticks are really nice right out of the box. The Sanwa sticks they use are great, but I don't know what kind of gate they're using on these as I can't say I've ever taken an S-Series apart, but I have one of the tournament edition sticks they released when Soulcalibur 4 came out and it had a really awful tiny octagonal gate that actually snapped on me during an online match. Not a very good feature on a $249.99 stick...I called Madcatz and they did offer to repair it and pay shipping both ways, but I wanted a better gate on it as it was my primary stick at the time, so they actually told me to overnight whatever gate I wanted and submit a receipt for reimbursal. The gate itself was like $14USD plus $21USD for overnight shipping from Japan...this was shortly before parts for sticks became readily available on US sites and in some of the higher end game shops around Baltimore.

I finally managed to get my hands on a brand new HRAP about six months later, they were ridiculously rare around that time and again when SFIV came out. I ordered a set of concave flush mount Sanwa buttons in purple and charcoal grey and a top end Sanwa stick along with it, tried it stock for a week and enjoyed it, then took the ninety minutes to mod it out and fell in love. A friend of mine swore the S series was much better than the Hori and loaned me his for a couple of weeks to compare them...anyone who's ever modded a stick or is very serious about their controllers knows it's impossible to know your preference until you put some time in on a stick and learn the feel of it, and I did fall in love with the S Series, just not as far in love as with my Hori. Part of it might be the fact that I'm a little older (35) and have terrible arthritis in my hands from the time I spent in the Army firing the early .50 cal semiauto sniper rifles as well as other high caliber precision marksman long guns, and I honestly think having the concave buttons makes things easier on my hands. Either way you can't go wrong and I can honestly say this is a damned good stick.

The core game has some issues that will be worked out. The premium service as it is is good. Worth it if you are going to be putting quite a bit of time into this game

Let me start off by saying that I literally never place a public review out there on anything other than Club Nintendo. That said, I really have seen way too many people portraying the game in an extremely negative light.

First thing's first: This is for the Premium service. Buying this does NOT INCLUDE THE GAME. With that said, you can ignore any reviews on this product that involve the game itself. It has nothing to do with it.

Second of all: THIS IS NOT THE GAME!! I can't stress enough how many people give this product a poor review because they are unhappy with the GAME. If you want to review that, go to the game page and stay off this one.

Third (and serious): The Premium service offers a large amount of content for the life span of the game. You receive monthly Battlepacks for the next year (which is why it says you receive 12), every expansion pack that comes out for the game (normally priced would be 14.99 each which makes this a great value at about 35% off), plus Double XP events, new customizations, new knives, and more. If you intend on playing the game throughout its life cycle, this purchase is a no brainer. Please do not be mistaken by the false and incorrect reviews.

My overall theme here is to make sure that you READ THE PRODUCT YOU ARE REVIEWING before posting your opinion. These reviews are basically the judge and jury as to whether a product sees a profit or plummets into oblivion. Tread carefully consumers and makes sure you pay attention to what the reviewers are saying to ensure they even know what they are talking about! I love Battlefield, even with its flaws, and the Premium service will keep me playing for the years to come!

Battlefield 4 Premium is worth it if you plan to play BF4 over the next year. I ordered mine a bit late and still got previously issued monthly battle packs. Premium server queue feature has been nice to rejoin servers quickly if you get disconnected.

as for all the content it provides for battlefield its a cheaper solution if you plan on grabbing all the dlc but as far as the quality of that dlc is concerned it'll be only as good as your enjoyment of battlefield 4.

GBA Micro System Famicom - JP Version Reviews

I've had every version of Game Boy since it's release in the 80's. To be honest, before I bought this I had forgotten all about the Micro. My personal favorite remains the clamshell SP version, but this one is quite good as well. The pictures don't really give you a sense of size, but if you have a Game Boy cartridge just know the screen is smaller in length by comparison. That's freakin small! The advantage is less pixelation and perhaps better battery life. The speakers are almost nonexistent so plan on bringing headphones if audio is important to you. I happen to enjoy headphones. The weight is very light and like the SP version, a Game Boy Advance cartridge sits flush with the unit's body. Instead of normal games, I use a flash cartridge that allows me to store a library of 30 or 40 GBA games, plus emulators for NES, Super NES, Sega Genesis, Game Gear, and original Game Boy games. Despite it's small size, the Micro is able to render everything sharply; it's just abysmally tiny. Don't get this version if you have fat fingers! Other than that, this is the special edition that has Mario on the back. If you're going to get a Game Boy Micro, this is the one you want.

I found the original NMH to be pretty likeable, but to say the sequel is just better is an understatement. Everything from the play mechanics to the visuals has been tweaked and overhauled for an overall more engrossing experience. This one oozes style and keeps the players attention from the first ranked battle to the last. I found myself spending so much time on the "retro" titles within as well, which are the new "jobs" yoy can aquire to earn money. They really are fun and remind me of the games I played on the NES back in tha day hehe. Simply put, from the end of last year till the beginning of this one, Wii's lineup is looking good. Let's hope the next titles to be released are on par with this one and Tatsunoko Vs Capcom. A+++!

Pretty nice I got the game the day it released. Dusted off the wii and started playing,at an instant I loved it. Not only did Suda throw in a parody of Cloud (FF7), but he introduced the game very well for those who haven't played the first (Should buy it if you haven't played it).

Unlike the first one, you don't get to drive and your jobs aren't in 3-D. The jobs you have are like old arcade games that will keep you off your real task for hours.

The beam katanas are back with a couple of new ones, there's a new katana that has slow powerful slashes and gets longer the more your ki goes up. There's also dual katanas that have fast slashes and devastating combos.

If you are looking for a violent game that gives you a laugh at the same time, get this game.

PROS:

No More Heroes returns with a vengence. Gone is the clunky free roam overworld you now just select wich location you want to travel to on a overworld map. Starting at rank #51 theres even more insane boss battles then the original. Jobs are now turned into SNES style games that are designed pretty well and will bring back some memories if your into old school gaming. Combat is essentially the same as the original with some additional power-ups and ability to interchange beam katanas on the fly. Game has an excess of sick..mature..dirty humor and style.

Finally, a game that uses that Wii's shortcomings as a strength. I'm an older gamer and love and miss the 8 bit retro games I grew up with. I bought this game primarily for this reason. I initially plugged in my classic controller and thought to myself, another Wii hardcore game wannabe piece of garbage. 5 minutes later I used the Wiimote and nun-chuck and finally saw why all the gaming sites gave this game a 9 out of 10. I quickly learned how to power-up my katana by quickly shaking the wiimote holding down the 1 button, and loved the thrill. I also didn't have any problems with the camera, as I just pressed Z to lock onto enemies. The game is totally awesome if you play with this configuration, otherwise it really isn't so much fun in my opinion.

The minigames were hard to control, but so were the games I used to play when I played the Atari 2600 or NES. It had a nostalgic feel to it. I had a little trouble controlling the Pipe Mania clone, but once I figured the controls out, it was okay. The minigames were a lot of fun, and at the now low price (under thirty dollars), a lot of people should consider it to even just to play these mini-games.

Is there any other reason not to buy this game?

No More Heroes 2 I long awaited for. Had the release date marked on my calender I really love this game. The first one took my buy surprise and the second one was more like desert after the main meal.

Whats improved with the second game? Well... The characters have been touched up a lot everything is more detailed this time around (not that there was anything wrong with the original look), the Game has better music this time around that gets you pretty pumped, There's a lot more sexy female bosses for some reason (no complaints here), the goons you fight are much better. There's a lot more variety as far as the types and they do have different fighting styles, but they have nothing to do with the bosses you fight like in the previous game where they actually had a theme to go along with the level you were playing.... and well it looks like they removed and added some stuff to satisfy the complainers.

I'll get into that. With the first game everyone nagged about how hard the bike was to control and nagged about riding around in the world so they took that part out the game(I never nagged it was if fun)now you just point and click on area's on your map and you go right to them. The side missions are old school 8 bit mini games. They have their charm, but since you don't have to grind on side missions to get stuff you're not exactly forced to do them. I kind of missed the old mission style because it added more to the game, but this was alright I guess...would of been more fun if it could of been an unlockable like the Bizarre Jelly game.

Also the game doesn't have all the stores you used to travel around to. Obviously with Bishop gone there's no video store, but there's no guy to train you special moves anymore! That kind of was a let down. Dr. Nayomi is still there she looks like she upgraded herself its always a pleasure to see her, even if she doesn't have anything new to buy (I'm on the last boss and there's still only 2 katanas) so I guess she's been too busy looking for a bra to build Travis new weapons.

The scary shop keeper with the mask is still there although his taste have gone down hill, because I haven't brought anything he offered yet. Compared to the first game, the new clothes and accessories look like a flee markets bargain bin.

The fighting... ah yes the fighting! Travis has been touched up a bit. He has less moves than before and controls a bit differently. To be honest I really didn't like what they did with him. It took me a while to get used to the "new" Travis because I was so used to fighting with the old style that required more effort. This time he doesn't block so well, there's few "wii-waggle" attacks if any, and playing the other characters makes you regret going back to him. Travis is my dude, but they did him wrong with the controls and his skills. I guess he forgot everything he learned from the last game.

The other characters.... you can play as Travis's older brother but who cares about him, lets talk about my baby SHINOBU! oh yeah! She's the reason I brought this game. When I heard you could play the baddest boss from the last game I had to pick it up. Shinobu was no disappointment matter of fact she made the game for me! she is just as fun to play as she was to fight. All of her moves are there except "Sonic sword" or at least she forgot to call it that. She's grown up in the past 3 years since her uniform is replaced for a dress and high heels. She's a fast fighter with both long range and aerial attacks. You can actually fight an entire mob with her and not be hit once. It's hard to play her and not say that she is a better fighter than Travis in the game, because she has such a wider variety of attacks and power moves. Sadly she's only there for a couple of levels then she breaks your heart by leaving.

The bosses... there's a mixture of them although this time around you don't get to glimpse into their minds like you did in the first game (they said so much in their fighting styles very few words needed to be spoken about them). In this game there's no so much emphasis placed on what assassin your fighting they are just there so Travis can push them aside to get revenge. There's really not much mystery about them like who they are and what they are like in the first game. Their levels have nothing to do with them (excluding like 1 or 2), and they honestly are pretty easy. Much much easier than the first game you can pretty much get them on the first try. They don't seem to make you think as much about your attacks and defenses like the first game made you do.

Overall...

No more Heroes 2 is still a lot of fun. Me I brought it because I enjoy the style of the game and knowing your getting something that's different from all the other games out there. Although it doesn't offer as much as the last game it still offers a lot in its own way. Between the two games I can't say which is best. I like being able to play as Shinobu like in 2 but I also like fighting against her as a boss. NMH1 and NMH2 are just too awsome games to pick up they don't need a comparison!

GET IT! PLAY IT! LOVE IT!

I still remember when I bought my DS and bought the Atari Retro set that was out at the time. I felt betrayed by that set. The "new" versions made all the graphics look like urban graffiti in a seeming attempt to make the game more "kewl" and the controls were awful. I felt as if they had stolen my money and my memories. Now they have released another set. This time they got Jeff "Emulator God" Vavasour and Co. to do the emulation. Apology accepted! this is really like carrying around nine arcade machines, an Atari 2600 VCS, and a large group of cartidges in your pocket. The emulation is spot-on. Code Mystics is a new name, but the people involved are from the legendary Digital Eclypse. They pioneered the art of commercial arcade emulation and are still doing it. This is a lesson to young video gamers and a guilty pleasure/blast to the past for us older gamers who had 2600 systems in the 80s and went to the local convenience stores to pump quarters into the machines. Thanks, Atari. This time you hit the target spot-on. Now to go pre-order volume 2.

Love this game and can't wait for Vol 2 to be released. I had an Atari 2600 growing up with a large library of games back in the day. I just can't believe that 50 Atari 2600 games and arcade games also fit on this one cartridge and can be taken with me anywhere I go. Having the original arcade games in addition to the classic 2600 games is also a bonus. I don't notice any problems or slow down on any of the games at all. Every game on here I have had on my Atari 2600 or played the arcade game in the arcades. Atari also included the Us Army training version of Battlezone that was never released in the arcades. I remember back in the 80's reading about it in arcade magazines and now you can play the game on the DS. What I thought was also nice is the instructions for the Atari 2600 games are also included in digital format on the cartridge for viewing. The looks of the instructions are the same ones that was included in the original boxed Atari 2600 games. So you get 50 Atari 2600 and original arcade games for your hand held ds. Recommended for anyone that wants to bring back the 80's on their DS.

Battlezone was one of greatest Atari games that I have ever played and so was Asteroids. Also, this game pack has some of the best instructions for those who don't know how to play these games. I enjoy this set of games so much that I'll never stop loving them. I was so excited for this game to come out. I waited for it for months... sadly it's not as good as the original. The most disappointing part for me is that they've added a time limit. And if you don't complete the level within the time frame then you have to start the level all over. When I got this I was hoping for scenarios where educated decisions would be the core of the game. All this amounts to is a driving game... with oxen. Medicine fixes anything whether its illness or broken limbs. Hunting is alright and not much different from past versions. The interaction has been dumbed down to drudgery or frustration with little to absolutely no educational benefit. If the original could work on a dinosaur like windows 95 I don't see why they couldn't just remake that for modern hand held systems.

When I was a kid, I had 1996 Oregon Trail on my computer. This was always one of our favorite games. I also played the 3rd edition when I was younger, which included fishing.

The major difference with this game is that it includes a new element where you need to steer the wagon to avoid hitting obstacles, which damage your wagon and oxen. This adds a little more action to the game. If you hit too many obstacles, you will need to rest so you can repair your wagon and so your oxen can heal. You also have the ability to customize your wagon with different colors and patterns.

All the old bits of Oregon Trail are there as well: Choosing a profession to get certain advantages, naming your family members, buying supplies, hunting, fishing, gathering, trading, illness, regulating wagon speed, stopping to rest when your health is dropping too low, and of course there's also trying to arrive at your destination as soon as possible in good health and with plenty of supplies to get a good score.

All in all, I find it to be a very enjoyable game at a great price (I paid $12.65 new). There are a couple different story lines and levels to complete, including some levels that occur in a later year, which means you can expect tense relations with the Indians.

I bought this game because I love the Oregon Trail so I thought it would be good to get the 3DS version of the game. Though this is only the top faceplate, I do not find it necessary in any way to have the bottom half clear...I haven't noticed or cared at all.

The plastic is very clear and does not take any smudges, so mine still looks brand new. If you put some LEDs in your controller, this faceplate emits the light very well (very stylish).

The buttons underneath the controller stick. The sticking buttons I can deal with. The easy workaround for the buttons (which don't have a good spring to them), is to just hit them in their sweet spot. That takes some conditioning, but it's doable. The problem with the control that bothered me the most was the right thumbstick's deadzone. There was about 2mm radius in which the right thumbstick did not respond. This flaw makes it hard to perform fast pinpoint accuracy with a sniper rifle or pistol. I finally ceded and went back to the first party controller because of the flaw. But if you don't need the accuracy, the layout and idea of the controller is great and it will increase your speed in jumping, switching weapons, melee attacks and using the action button. All the buttons are remappable and takes only a few minutes to do so.

Good:

1) The layout, and the feel of the controller

2) Being able to Jump and Melee without removing your right thumb off the stick

Bad:

1) Buttons stick a lot not reliable for when you need it.

2) The Analog sticks have a little dead zone that makes aiming difficult.

3) Aiming sensitivity is inconsistent in different directions it's difficult to aiming quickly and accurately

4) Aiming sensitivity is really bad it's difficult to move the aiming-sight slowly to aim accurately... there's very little variation or consistency in aiming speed to how far you press the stick.

Conclusions:

1) The bad outweigh the good for overall FPS play.

2) Good only if you plan to do nothing but melee or jump in a shooting battle you would lose miserably.

The guy at Gamestop told me this controller was a piece of junk and I was taking a risk buying it. Well I did take that risk.

This controller is awesome. I normally cannot play FPS games on my PS2 without a lot of wrist fatigue, but this controller feels great. It has actual triggers on both sides with two buttons under each trigger. All these buttons are easy to reach without taking your thumbs off of the analog sticks. The other four buttons are placed directly under the analog sticks with the directional pad beneath the left one. The buttons (except start and select) are easily programmable to customize the controller for each game you are playing. You get a total of three saved button setups that can be changed at the press of a button, even during game play.

Sceptical? Don't be. Buy this controller and own your friends.

*XBOX FPS Master Controller* I've decided this is going to be my main controller. This controller is amazing. It feels as sturdy as the original XBOX controller and that's saying alot. It is very well made and appears it is capable of taking tons of punishment(yet to be seen).

It takes a few minutes to get used to the button layout, but it's well worth the time. It's very accurate and I love the way it feels in my hands. The button configuration is comfortable and it feels JUST RIGHT. The triggers are like guns and the button layout is on the handles. Like I said, "It feels JUST RIGHT!" It's easily my favorite controller, EVER!

Hats of the GAMESTER for making a quality controller that gives us FPS(First Person Shooter) fans the next best thing to actually holding a gun.

Purchased this game for my 7 year old daughter and we all ended up playing it for 2 months straight. There are 50 some levels to get through and every one is filled with challenging stunts, puzzles and tricks. We loved the fact that she could go back and just do the games in the "Zine" and not lose interest when a level got to be too hard for her. I would recommend this game to any parent who wants their kids to have fun and have to THINK at the same time. We absolutely loved this game!

I just bought Rocket Power Beach Bandits for my PlayStation 2 and wanted to say I really like it. I watch the show every week and I like playing the videogame even more. My favorite part of the game is when you get to swing from a zip line and fly through the trees down a mountain. The graphics are great and the game lets you play as all the characters from the show. Although I have not completed the whole game yet, I play it all the time and it is now my favorite game for PlayStation 2. I even like it better than my Simpson's Skateboarding game. I hope they make another Rocket Power game like this one.

It does not get difficult untill you have to defeat Golem Senior at the end. This can be easyly done if you use the right button for "lock on" and get the "rapid shot puck" from the end of a beam under the platform.

Me and my brother got the game for ps2 and thought it would be pretty fun since we loved the show... but when we first started playing it it really disappointed us. The game play was pretty bad and the story drag on too long with simple missions that bored us and it really was annoying having to go into the menu to change characters/vehicles. THQ didn't impress me very much due to bad graphics and 2nd rate game style!! Bottom line is I don't recommend it to people people who are used to playing other extreme sports games, and i don't believe they made the best attempt to make a good game this time!!!

Swarm is one of the new GIANT Skylanders available at release of the new Skylander Giants game. These giants are absolutely devastating characters. They can walk through small baddies, crates, chests and destroy special Giant Smash gates. They are also slow and not particularly well suited for jumping (3DS players)I always pair a giant with a speedy (Pop Fizz) or good jumper (Gill Grunt).

Swarm develops into a nice, quality character to play with but he will not dominate the way Crusher does. (Crusher is practically unstoppable!)

Most Skylander choices come down to preference and attraction to the character design. If you like Swarm's look, you won't be disappointed in your purchase once you get him in game.

My 9 year old loves the game (and I play just as much as he does since we're usually doing multiplayer). We had three or so of the giants before, so I grabbed this one and another new one to surprise him.

It's actually a great character out of the box has some decent fighting skills, close melee and distance weapons, and great starting health. We spent some time in battles to get some fast cash to level them up a bit and get the upgrades, and it's quite a scrappy giant.

My son loves turning it into a cloud of bees to swarm around things and damage them that way.

Well built as all of them are.

Great addition for those who love the game.
