A review of a controller is a funny thing. To a certain extent it comes down to "do the buttons work, yes or no?" :-) And obviously this third party Madcatz controller's durability over time as compared to the official Xbox controller can't be quickly compared. But I will say this I bought it for use on a Windows 7 running laptop (because playing Batman Arkham Asylum with a keyboard and mouse isn't quite the same) and was worried it would not work since there was nothing specific about it being for use on a computer and no driver disk. It linked up and the laptop installed it no problem. It works flawlessly. The button layout works well as do the analog sticks. I suppose overall all I can say is that I'm happy with the purchase at this time.

This controller is very good and functions exactly the same as a regular Xbox 360 controller. I used it to play Saints Row 2 since the controls for PC are terrible. I also used it with Beat Hazard, an indie game on Steam. It seems to be durable enough. It hooks up with USB, and is plug and play. No need to install any drivers or discs or batteries or anything like that. You can also use it on a normal Xbox 360. My only complaint is that the analog sticks do not have the rubber bumps on them like a regular 360 controller. But it's no big deal since those rub off eventually anyway.

**Use the controller as a mouse download a free program called 7plus. It will enable you to use the controller like a mouse, with right click/left click functionality, etc. 7plus also has a bunch of good hotkeys that some of you may find useful.

My grandson sent me Lego Star Wars for the PC for my birthday so that the next time we we visited, he and I could play it together. I realized very quickly that it would be no fun to play from the keyboard, so I did some research and found that the Xbox 360 game pad would work on a PC and work with this game. The Mad Catz version of the game pad came with the adapter included and at a very good price on Amazon. I checked reviews on it and found them to be generally positive, so I bought two of them for the game. The only real knock I read on the game pad was its construction, which was described as flimsy. In my evaluation, if this is flimsy, the original must be built like a tank. As for the playability, I have found it very responsive and easy to use on this game. I have not used it with anything else, but I would give it high marks overall.

Honest reviews on Mad Catz Xbox 360 Controller (Black)

So far, I've had no problems with this controller. It's been working amazingly well.

Of course, I've read reviews where they said that along the lines of owning it, in a few months the thumbstick will be acting weird.

I play a lot of first person shooter, and obviously since it's a different type of controller, you have to get used to the sensitivity or change the sensitivity on your gameplay.

I don't rough up my controller so much so I know that this'll last me awhile.

I used to have a Microsoft controller that needed to be re-calibrated (is that what you call it? o.o) and I was still able to play it, just had to know how. So if this ever did that, I'd still be able to use it.

It's a cheap controller and if you don't have heavy or big hands to where you use the controller brutally, I'd say this is great for you.

Get this if:

-You know that it won't last you that long, a few months to a year

-You're a light user

-Don't mind the start and select buttons being on the top

-If you have small hands like I do

-Am on a budget and don't mind replacing it in a few months to a year

-Don't mind it being a wired controller (Hey no replacing batteries right?)

Dont get this if:

-You're a constant first person shooter who roughs up his controller

-Have big hands

-Mind the start and select buttons being on top

-Doesn't want to replace the controller in a few months to a year

-Have a couple of ten's more to spend on a controller that'll last you longer

-Don't like wires.

Of course, all controllers have their life span. This one's just shorter than the Microsoft ones.

For me Microsoft ones don't last too long either, a year to 2 years is a pretty good life span and this controller may be half the life span but for this much money. It's still a good deal. I only got this for around $12 bucks, so $24 bucks for two controllers that'll last 2 years is still cheaper than $40 to $60 bucks for a Microsoft controller that'll last 2 years too. :]

After a month of usuage, the analog stick is stuck on the down position. the stick itself is neutral but whenever i move it, even just slightly, the movements on screen moves down. i checked the calibration setting on the pc and even then, it still moves down.

i knew i should have spent the extra 10 bucks to buy the official microsoft pad. i felt duped after purchasing their great TE fight stick. never again madcatz (unless they're fight sticks)

I have always regretted goung with a aftermarket controller ad they are usually cheap feeling and rarely eork as well as the original 360 controller. I gave it one more try with this controller and I am really glad I did!

The reasons I tried it were bc of the remappable buttons in back and quick response triggers and each were up to par. The triggers feels so much more responsive than the 360 controller, which is awesome since its the button for shooting in Halo. The remappable 'combat buttons'

The FPS pro for Xbox 360 is a good sturdy product. The plastic rubber on the sides has a good feel, and provides extra traction, especially if you are playing a game for an extended period of time. The basic shape is the same as the traditional Xbox 360 control, and all of the controls are in the same basic place so there is no high adjustment time.

The layout of the control is the same as the normal control, with the added feature that you can adjust gameplay wit the combat buttons on the bottom of the control. These buttons add the extra ability to change combat mode in gameplay, which is great for serious players. There is also a port on the control that allows you to use the control on your PC for PC gaming. This is a great advantage if you are playing on a PC, because you can use an Xbox controller on your PC.

Overall a good controller for serious gamers, and those who are planning on playing for an extended period of time.

Very fast over wireless like the way it fits in my hands I like the 10 ft cord I have tride others but none are like this

The Combat buttons are to far up! They are useless! If this is the reason you are going to get this controller don't buy it!

That's it played a few more games it is going back, went back to my Power A controller, what a huge diffrence!

LED does not remember what color you chose, it resets to green when you turn off the console, and you have to change the LEDS back to the color of your choice!!!!! More not to like about this product!!!!

I really thought this was going to be a great product, again don't waste your time and money!

It is as good as it says it is in the description, all of the features are there, it is comfortable, and precise. It is also designed with FPS games in mind, and the features reflect that. I would HIGHLY recommend this over the standard Xbox wired controller if you want a wired controller. The form factor is about the same as a standard controller as well is the price.

Pros:

Everything in the description.

Wired; so no batteries and faster response times.

Multi-Function buttons on back are a nice touch.

It lights up, because why not?

Cons:

Multi-Function buttons on the back are a bit to high to use comfortably, but one can get used to their position.

There isn't a wireless Xbox version for people that don't like wires all over their room.

I recently purchased a pair of these after much debate wether or not they would be worth the cost. I purchased them with the SuperNova DDR Game.

First thing I noticed is that the pads' foam is much smaller than most of the wired pads out today not by much but when you start to move you notice the response isn't as good as wired. But I blame this on that the pads need to be broken in abit.

Its is very compatible with the Komani DDR Games BUT if you have Dance Factory from CodeMasters as your game I STRONGLY recommend you do not buy these pads. Why?

When you go through the screen sections the pads act normal, but when you go to actually dance, you get the flip side of this. None of the arrow keys register. Not one.. Only, the outside corner pads register. Now this would not be so fustrating until you realise that even if you try to change the pads layout on the controller via the game it still registers those buttons by its only configuration. Lucky I stil have my wired pads but its a shame I have to keep them around just for this one problem.

So due to that I had to give these a "3" star. If you are not using the Dance Factory game I would give it a 4, but that would be even a high 3 but a low four.

Hopefully codemasters or ddrgame will take a look at this issue for their next gen of thier products and figure out where they went wrong.

Still with the freedom you have for the pads been wireless and the cost it can be worth the buy. Just be cautious of its limitation.

Reviews of Xbox 360 Rock Band Wireless Fender Wooden Stratocaster Replica

Xbox 360 Rock Band Wireless Fender Wooden Stratocaster Replica - Sunburst
Customer Ratings: 5 stars

When Mad Catz announced the $300 Fender guitar replica made many question how out-of-hand peripheral costs were getting, especially with the music genre. If you are a Rock Band 2 enthusiast, with all the DLC offered by Harmonix on XBOX Live, tons of peripherals laying around, and those of you that have the ION Drum set sitting in your game room, you will want (and must) have this.

Being a guitar player for over a decade, I must say this makes playing that much more fun for me personally. Those individuals that have only played this game with the "kit" included instruments, be it Rock Band or Guitar Hero, may hate this item. This guitar is the full size and full weight of my a Fender Stratocaster, and feels natural to play with my background. Compared to the plastic completion, this thing is huge, and may effect you "shredders" out there. This guitar is not as accurate during faster parts of most songs (do to real fret spacing), I must say that I don't mind missing notes when playing with this. The only thing that is not "real Fender" on this guitar is the plastic fret board, but that is not a negative thing, and blends nicely with this accessory.

This guitar, combined with the overdrive pedal, give a new aspect of playability that renews any avid player of the Rock Band series continued interest. Before you buy however, you have to ask yourself do you prefer the Rock Band controller button layout (flat) or the Guitar Hero controller button (raised) layout. If you prefer the Guitar Hero style, this controller is not for you, and will not change your mind and it may actually make you hate it more. The fret buttons are in the real fret locations, so you will have to adapt to stretching your fingers hit all the keys, which makes it very difficult to play during faster parts.

Pros:

* All natural wood body and neck made by the Fender factory itself

* Real metal tuners, connection port (for use of the overdrive pedal), and whammy bar

* Full size and weight (just over 7 lbs.)

* 2.5 million cycle strumming switches

* Start and Select buttons hidden as volume knobs on the guitar

* Whammy bar hangs in a traditional place

* Works amazing with the Overdrive Pedal accessory

* Great for traditional guitarist that want to transfer and play music genre games

Cons:

* Hard to move fast between buttons for speed accuracy do to the real spacing of the frets

* Strum bar is louder, clicks, and does more wear-n-tear on the fingers

* Weight (for those not used to it) can be overwhelming, especially for those long play sessions

* No calibration mechanism on the guitar

* Three AA batteries to use (still no XBOX rechargeable battery pack use)

* Easy to hit Start and Select knob-buttons when using whammy bar.

Final Thoughts:

The Fender Stratocaster XBOX 360 Replica Guitar for Rock Band is not your snap/impulse purchase, or for those just getting into the game. This guitar and purchase are for those individuals that absolutely love this game, that has all the previous peripherals for this game (such as the ION Drum Rocker Kit with expansion cymbal, multiple plastic guitars/bass laying around, the Rock Band Stage Kit, the overdrive pedal, a ton of downloadable content, etc., etc.). This guitar is an investment, and a serious one at that, and I can say brings the rock experience a little closer to home. This Fender Replica is truly a thing of beauty.

Frustration. This is my third Mad Catz guitar within the last two months and all have exhibited the same flaw. After the first couple hours of use, one (or more) of the buttons begins to bind if not pressed exactly on center. In the case of this current Stratocaster it is the blue button (the previous two were Precision Bass guitars with binding red buttons). A binding button makes it all but impossible to get a decent score since you spend your time concentrating on pressing one of your buttons firmly and on center rather than having fun with the game. Additionally you can't slide a finger over from an adjacent button since the button binds with an edge press.

Other thoughts:

The controller looks terrific, just as pretty as in the glamour shots.

The finish of the wooden neck could use a bit more attention, it looks good but feels not quite finished. It gets more coarse where the neck flairs into the headstock. The headstock is high gloss and pretty in front, but surprisingly rough in back (looks OK though). The neck of the Logitech Wireless Guitar Controller sets the standard here. The Logitech neck feels significantly better in your hand with a terrific satin finish on the back where you will be holding it.

The plastic fretboard looks very good close up and feels fine.

The buttons are spaced like a Rock Band Strat, not a like real guitar frets, so the reach from green to orange is standard (I held them together and they were almost identical).

What others have said about the size and weight is true. If you already play an electric guitar you will immediately find this controller comfortable and natural to use (and a lot of fun). If you've only used the standard controllers before it may take some getting used to. Although the button spacing is standard the reach out to them is further due to the length of the neck. The weight is what every guitar player on earth has been shouldering forever, it's no big deal, but it's certainly no hollow plastic guitar. Real guitar straps work and there are some very comfortable ones out there.

The tuning pegs rattle. Since there are no strings to put tension on them, the tuning pegs rattle if the controller is moved aggressively. I'm guessing this would be easy to rectify with some glue or eve small pieces of tape. Since I'm not keeping it I don't want to mess with the issue.

The whammy bar will hit the back button. The back button is a press to actuate (unlike the start button below it which is a twist to actuate). Hitting the back button initiates overdrive/star power. You will have to consciously moderate your whammy technique to avoid accidental star power use (view the "Wireless Wooden Stratocaster Replica for Rock Band Walkthrough" on youtube to see the required technique). Seems like they would have been better off with the d-pad at the top of the button stack, where interference with the whammy would be minimized. On the plus side, in it's current position star power is right at your fingertips (nice). It's perfectly usable as designed but you can no longer flail the whammy bar like a mad man.

The Strat works with the Mad Catz Electro-Harmonix Overdrive Pedal. As noted above overdrive is super easy to actuate on the Strat. The overdrive pedal adds a wire to a wireless controller. You may find you have to look away from the screen to find the overdrive pedal on the floor. The "pedal" is actually a metal button that doesn't work that great with stocking feet. This is not a review of that product.

I'm at a loss here, I don't even know how to rate the product. I like the Mad Catz Strat very much and want to rate it a 4 to 5 but the one fundamental thing a game controller must have is buttons that work; that implies total fail rating of 1. I just can't bring myself to rate it that low. Three controllers with sticking buttons in a row is starting to feel like a design flaw. I upgraded from the Mad Catz Precision Bass to the Strat hoping that their flagship product would have top quality hardware. Unfortunately, the button binding feels exactly the same on the Strat as on the lower priced bass. I'm going to return this one and try one more time, but hope is fading fast.

Update Sep 2010:

4th time was the charm. The replacement Strat works well and the buttons have been reliable so far. Additionally, the finish of the neck is superior to my original in both appearance and feel.

Good controller. Tons of fun.

Best Deals for Xbox 360 Rock Band Wireless Fender Wooden Stratocaster Replica

As a disclaimer, allow me to state that I am an expert-level player in Rock Band. I have an extensively large quantity of DLC music, am able to clear every song I own, and have unlocked the platinum instrument icon in Rock Band 2 shortly after its release. I have previously played rhythm games with the RedOctane Gibson SG for PS2, the Les Paul for Xbox 360, and the stock RB2 Fender Stratocaster controller. I will be comparing this controller to the RB2 Strat. I will not discuss any drawbacks that are implied for those who play lefty. (Any shortcomings you would normally experience from that are still seen here; this should not come as a surprise.)

This is an excellent controller, by far. It takes almost everything the RB2 Strat has to offer but with a clearly higher level of quality and feel. Both sets of frets are exquisite; I cannot fathom a controller design with frets better than what this controller has to offer. It feels almost effortless to fret even the most complex of note sequences; this controller will spoil you and dissuade you from returning to your RB2 Strat controller. Furthermore, the finish of the guitar neck is perfect. I find sliding to be as comfortable and smooth as I do on most electric guitar necks. The whammy bar holds up well and is neither too stiff nor too soft. The back button is accessible to those who prefer to activate their Overdrive with their strumming hands. The start button is in fact not a button, but a knob. You can rotate it in either direction until it clicks, which is when the controller notifies the console that Start has been "pressed". An excellent design as to prevent accidental pausing during song play. The D-pad and Xbox guide button are beyond the Start knob and are easy to use as they are near the edge of the guitar body.

The headset jack is positioned even better than where it is located on a standard RB2 Strat. It is on the read of the body where you would normally access the tensioned springs for the bridge of an actual Fender Stratocaster. This position makes it innately easy to keep the headset wire out of the way while playing. We also have the jack for connecting a pedal for Overdrive activations. The controller comes with an adapter to allow you to connect and drum pedal that is compatible with RB drums into your guitar. This adapter fits very snugly and holds tightly very much like an audio cable connects an electric guitar to an amplifier. The realistic feel is just a bonus, but the true benefit is that it gives you a little bit of freedom without worrying about your drum pedal's wire popping out of the controller, which was a hassle with the RB2 Strat which did not offer any additional securing mechanism to keep the jack in place.

Lastly we have the strum bar, which is the only element this controller offers that could come close to being a shortcoming. It's slightly stiff and requires more effort for tremolo picking/high tempo alternate picking. It is a matter of getting used to, but it can be a small hurdle for those accustomed to the nice, gentle strum bar the RB2 Strat has. In addition to this higher level of resistance, it has a bit of a click when strumming. Typically, playing the game at least at a moderate volume is enough to virtually completely drown out the sound of this click; it was definitely noticeable at first since the RB2 Strat's strum bar does not click, but it is easy to forget about with a little play time.

Since this is a replica, the neck's length is the same length of a full scale electric guitar neck. Also, the weight of the controller is roughly 7 pounds, if I recall correctly. Any electric guitarist who is also a Rock Band enthusiast should find these attributes very comfortable and familiar; many reviews list these as a drawback of the controller, but that is most likely coming from players who are not electric guitarists and are foreign to the dimensions and weight of actual instruments.

I was lucky to pick up this controller during a Deal of the Day for 66% off, which brought it down to the retail price of the Beatles RB guitars, and I will say with no hesitation this controller is beyond worth its value for that price. Unfortunately, I find it difficult to recommend at full retail price of $299. Those who find money to be no object, or are hardcore enthusiasts of the game who want a high-quality controller with authentic feel, should go ahead and try one of these out, undoubtedly. Those treading the line of hesitation due to its price, I find it difficult what to recommend. I can just assure that essentially anyone satisfied with the feel of the RB2 Strat will be impressed with this controller. In my opinion a price of $199 is much more reasonable but I leave the final judgment call about this matter upon you.

Honest reviews on Xbox 360 Rock Band Wireless Fender Wooden Stratocaster Replica

Good reviews here already, so I will keep this short and compare it with the other current expensive controller, Logitech's Orange Guitar (LOG) I reviewed previously.

Looks.

Feels and looks great! Full size and beautiful, though the underside is unsightly with the white plastic covers from where they gutted this real guitar and put the electronic innards. The LOG looked better all around, but due to it's smaller size and orange color, this subjective category can go either way (a tie in my book at 5-stars).

Function.

The strum bar clicks very loudly whereas the LOG was incredibly silent. I prefer silent, but I've gotten used to the clicking as it often corresponds with our drummer. It's very easy to accidentally trigger the back button either by hand or with use of the whammy bar whereas the LOG was ideal. But this guitar has much better fret buttons full sized and easy to activate whereas the small protruding and inconsistent buttons on the LOG were my deal-breaker. (4-stars vs 3-stars)

Final experience.

My arms and neck get a true workout with this full-size beauty, but I'm enjoying the Rock Band experience so much more! (hence 5-stars) The accidental star-power triggering is annoying and the loud strum bar is taking some time to get used to, but overall I'm finding it a great guitar and will keep it. I'd complain about the price, but I paid less by buying a used one from Amazon, so I paid the same price as the LOG which I didn't keep. A truly personal preference that can be expensive to experiment with, but has been very rewarding.

Now to find a good wireless mic... Rock On!

I bought this for my brother for Christmas and according to him it was one of the greatest gifts he has ever had it looks and plays great the only thing that was a little odd for him is the fact that it is the same size as a real guitar and he had to get used to the weight and thefact the buttons were farther down the neck but after a few songs he was in the back to playing great this is one great product of fine craftsmanship

I bought a couple 360 bundles this year. Why? Well, the Halo4 bundle was something I really couldnt pass up and have it set up in a Vanguard portable rig, a couple were gifts, but this one here is the console I set up next to my PS3 in my living room. The 250 gig drive is big enough to contain my collection of games with plenty of room to spare. The inclusion of Forza 4 and the Skyrim download was pretty sweet, the extra 4 months of Live Gold was cool (3 for the promotion plus 1 already in the box), the controller is the standard issue of course as is the carppy headset, lol (replace the headset....they are flimsy and wont last long). My only gripe is probably the same as everybody elses....no HDMI cable included. That seems like a poor oversight for a relatively cheap and fairly essential piece (at least if you plan to get the most out of your xbox...without it, you'll be running at like 480p). You also get a handful of Arcade game codes (which are basically glorified demos).

Anyways, there isnt really anything magnificent or special here except for the savings from buying the bundle vs buying everything separately, but hey, that's why you buy a bundle. Better value. From that standpoint, this bundle truly shines.

Best Deals for Xbox 360 250GB Holiday Value Bundle (Amazon exclusive Bonus Value)

Bought it for my birthday, more or less just for Skyrim. The downloadable token alone makes the deal worth it, I hardly plan on playing Forza considering I have always been a Need for Speed fan above all other racing games, but whatever a free cookie is better than no cookies so i'm not really complaining.

Compatibility issues with Skyrim on the Playstation 3 were really the winning push that compelled me to return once again to the Xbox 360. I would honestly resume upgrading my computer, considering I already own skyrim on Steam, however with the introduction of Windows 8 and the PC gaming community slowly in decline due to piracy, lack of developer support and in general the fact that a lot of games being made today are crappy ports of console games to PC, it makes it extremely unnecessary to have a gaming rig in the first place in the 21st century.

Regardless, considering the individual price for each specific product, the Xbox 360 4GB running at 199.99 fresh out of the box, Forza and Skyrim 34.99 each respectively, the hard drive alone hovering close to 30.00 (not OEM which means no backwards compatibility), this really is the best deal out for the Xbox if you don't plan on doing anything kinect related.

All things considered for the total price of the console before tax and shipping you're saving about 30 bucks. In my case a little less considering Forza is junk to me but who knows, I may turn out to like it after all, we will see.

I couldn't believe the deal they had here. I get a new xbox slim console with the 250gb hard drive, 5 arcade games, Skyrim, Forza, 4 months xbox live, and two free month subcriptions to epix and hulu. You can't beat that value. Xbox alos has come along way. The new layouts are very easy to use and not as confusing as the ps3. There are also way more features xbox has been adding over the years that made the switch from ps3 to xbox truly worth it.

So these Holiday Bundles are available at best buy, walmart, and probably most stores that sell xbox's.

I chose to buy from Amazon, because of the "extras", and of course 2 days later no signs of any extras.

Now from reading other reviews and comments, I see I am not the only one....

When you open the amazon box, there should be 5 codes for download of arcade games, 1 code for 3 months of xbox live, go to your account and a $10 video credit should be there

Where is the difficulty in that??

Now I am a big fan of amazon, but in the case of another "bundle" with extras, i'll forgo the extras and just buy it locally.

Last year's bumper crop of shooters, such as "BioShock", "Halo 3" and "Call of Duty 4", were notable for coupling bone-jarring realism with finely crafted epic stories. "The Club" promises something a little different.

There's no saving humanity, no detailed world to explore, no need to bone up on military strategy or tactics. Instead, "The Club" boils down simply to this: how many people can you shoot, and how fast can you do it?

Sure, the game is thinly wrapped in a pulpy "Running Man"-style story casting you as one of eight characters, such as an extreme-sports thrill-seeker or a burly Russian hunter, drawn into an underground blood sport for the amusement of rich fans.

That's an excuse, if one was needed, for blasting your way through a variety of mostly industrial settings or fending off waves of attackers as you try to stay alive for a set period of time.

The twist in "The Club" is that you rack up points for each kill, and by stringing kills close together, you earn bonuses that multiply your points. Extra points are awarded for stylish moves like head shots, or breaking through a door and taking out opponents on the other side.

The graphics are decent but not spectacular given where we are in the Xbox 360's lifespan. Sound production is bordering on great, with the various weapons producing a variety of satisfyingly realistic blasts.

The best design element of the game is perhaps the control scheme, which is intuitive and simple, and is notable for the wonderful inclusion of a "quick spin" button that whirls you around 180 degrees in an instant. That's a useful trick when you are beset by foes on all sides, and hopefully will be something that makes its way into other games.

There are eight levels, eight characters with different attributes to choose from, a nice array of weapons, and good variety of game modes. I am guessing it will take an average player an hour to finish each level, though experienced players can probably whip through them in half that.

That's okay, though, because there's plenty of replay value as you'll want to rerun a level to see if you can beat your last score, or that of your buddy's. A "gunplay" mode lets you design your own challenges and play through them with friends. An online competitive mode should also provide extra play value, though I haven't tried that out yet.

The game was developed by UK-based Bizarre Creations, which lifted the core game element from its well-regarded "Project Gotham Racing" driving series that rewards stylish moves like power slides, drafting and catching air. Criterion Games did something similar with 2005's "Black", which wallowed in gun-enabled destruction the same way its popular "Burnout" racing series did with spectacular car crashes.

"Black" didn't revolutionize the genre but got generally positive reviews, a precedent that looks to be repeated for "The Club". It may not be in the same league as recent acclaimed shooters, but the fast-paced action and wide selection of solo and multiplayer challenges makes up for the shallow story.

Sega's The Club feels like an old-school, arcade shooter with a next-gen gloss, and it certainly is by any stretch of the imagination. You run and race through a closed course, taking down as many enemies as you can in the process in some trigger happy, flashy ways. Once you pop in The Club, you'll be hooked by its run and gun style of play, that proves to be insanely fun at first. However, you'll find that it doesn't take you too long to get through the game, and while there are five total modes of play in The Club, many of them are very similar to each other. No matter what mode of play you are in, you have the same objective: obliterate everything in sight. The only real replay value that The Club offers is if you want to beat your own score, which will be enough reason for some gamers to go back through the game, but others will play it and be done with it. Still though, The Club looks and sounds good enough, and provides some great fun for a while, but once you finish it, which won't take too long or be too difficult, there isn't really anything left. All in all, The Club is definitely worth a look for those craving an old school, run and gun action game, but there isn't enough here to hold your interest for long.

The Club. I got this for $10 brand new from Amazon and I love it. I beat it in 3 days playing sparingly but its online play and multiplayer is awesome. For $60, no no no no no. For the low price, yes yes yes yes!

Honest reviews on The Club - Xbox 360

This is a different game from the ordinary, but there just isn't enough to seperate it from the crowd of games. The game is funner than in it is good though. The game is really easy to pick up and isn't all that hard to play. The leaderboards are neat and so is the scoring system. The only big strike to the game is that you can beat it in under 3 hours, maybe even 2 hours. The game is fun and is worth picking up for about 20 dollars, but much more than that is a bad deal. All in all if you like competitive scoring based games, in which I do, than you will like this new spin on third person action.

Overall 7.5-8.0

This game gets old quick, pretty much running over and over 3 different types of missions: Beat the clock, hold your ground, and fight to the exit. For the first couple of hours you will be amused and having fun. But this soon wears off as you realize even switching characters and weapons doesn't really help liven things up. The combos can be cool, but the 'head shots' are a little liberal(just shoot near the head...). Reminded me a little of the 'Total Overdose' combo idea(a game I loved, by the way!), just not executed nearly as well. The controls are decent enough(esp the sprint button...), as are most of the graphics. I really loved the concept but just wished there was a little more depth and variation to the gameplay. I was entertained for an afternoon, but couldn't imagine wanting to play this for more than one sitting. Newer gamers might find more in this than I, but after 10 years of console gaming(I'm not trying to brag...really!), this game is nothing new to a genre that has better to offer. Cool idea, though.

This game is incredible. I have yet to play a Rally racing game that even comes close to Rallisport Challenge's caliber. Everything has been meticulously adressed to provide you the best Rally racing sim available for any console, bar none. I picked this game right when it came out and have hardly been able to stop playing since.

The graphics are superb. Everything from the tracks and the nearly photorealistic terrains are top-notch. The cars themselves are beautifully rendered with visible damage occuring to the car if you wreck. Your car even gets dirty as you progress through the tracks! Sound is above average but what really sets it apart is the fact that you can play your own music while you race. The cars all have distinct engine sounds and there is this English guy who gives you advice over what sounds like a CB radio. Another strong point for RC would have to be the fact that this game uses the vibration in the controller better than any game before it. But of course, all of these aspects of RC that I wrote about don't matter if the gameplay itself [stinks]. Well you don't have to worry in that department.

RC it seems was not created to be a 100% realistic simulation. I would say the steering at times is what makes this noticeable. So the games physics do have a little bit of an arcade feel but it stills stays true enough to form that it really doesnt matter because this game is still loads of fun. it also has a great variety of racing modes, cars, and plenty of hidden stuff in between to unlock so it will keep you busy for a while. Anyway, I feel confident giving this game 5 star rating because this has to be one of the top 3 titles to debut so far on the xbox.

Introduction

A very good looking driving game that focuses on Rally Racing with different game options (point-to-point rally, hill-climbing, ice-racing, cross-rally). The games have enough variety of courses and cars to keep you happy, BUT not the excitement and satisfaction like those offerred by Gran Turismo 2. Rally racing is different from street or tarmac racing games (GT series). It is NOT for everyone!

Graphics 9.5

The environment and terrains are AMAZING! I just love how the tracks are seemlessly blended into the environment. Car models are good, the effects on the vehicles are great, but it is STILL plagued by jagginess (bumpy, unsmooth linings) like in PlayStation games in a lesser degree. I replay races just to look at the beautifully rendered semi-interactive environment, and lighting, shading effects reflected so smoothly off beautiful vehicles.

Sound 8.5

Engine and environmental sounds are sampled and created very nicely. You definitely need to adjust the settings in the option screen to get an enjoyable mix of music, engine, and environmental sound. The soundtrack is negligible. The option to have your own soundtrack makes this game almost ten times more enjoyable. I have to emphasize that the option to play your own soundtrack is so great that it warrants the purchase of an XBox for me before, and it still kicking it for me.

Gameplay 8.5

It can be as shallow as you want it to be or as deep. That means you can just jump in and have some fun, or spend countless hours perfecting those power-slides.

Presentation 8

Overall, the game is enjoyable. It has every elements that make it a very good game. The menu system needs more work for sure. The unlocking and extra features could be better.

Lasting Appeal 8

Once you complete the career mode and unlock those vehicles (most of them you don't even care), it is quite hard to find any incentive to keep on playing except for the graphics and your own soundtrack. With Sega GT, Pro Racer Driver on the horizon, RSC will keep you happy and busy until then.

Closing Comment

Overall, I give this game an 8.5. It is NOT better than Gran Turismo. It IS the best racing game currently for XBox. With Pro Race Driver and Sega GT2 on the horizon, this game should keep you happy and busy. I accredit RSC as the game that inspires future XBox driving games to be made better. I do not get the same state of euphoria when I first play the jaggy Gran Turismo. My recommendation is only buy this game if you are Rally fan, rent it first if you are just a driving game fan.

Best Deals for Rallisport Challenge

I bought this game and I can't stop playing it. Sega Rally was one of my favorite games on the Sega Saturn (Sega Rally 2 for DC was horrible...the control was so broken!). NEVER has a video game for any console or PC conveyed a sense of environment as well as Rallisport Challenge does. The graphics are PHENOMENAL...everything from the clean, jaggy-free car models, grass, rocks and roads...it all looks so lifelike and solid! And the lighting...when the track indicates "early morning", "Rainy afternoon", or "evening" as it's conditions, believe me, the tracks and the way they are lit are completely convincing. You'll drive through some of these tracks (the most impressive are by far the Mediterranean, icy racing and hill climbing tracks) and you'll swear that you've actually driven through locales like this at some point in your life! And yes, on the hill climbing sections you CAN tumble off the side of the mountain which to my knowledge has never been done in a rally racing console game! Another bonus, check out the cool reflective mapping on the cars!

How's the gameplay? In one word: PERFECT! The game is challenging, but never to the point of controller-throwing frustration. You'll find that part of the game's appeal is to find out exactly which car is suitable for the circuit you are going to attempt. Here's a bonus tip....if you want to relive the glory days of Sega Rally 1 on your Sega Saturn, the Nissan Skyline and Lancia Delta control almost exactly like the default Lancia and Celica in SR1! You'll find yourself practicing to get the art of powersliding down...it's not easy and the trick eventually comes down to using the handbrake in tandem with the normal brakes on the sharpest curves. Believe me, once you finally have it down, being able to powerslide through the sharp turns in succession is one of the most skillfully satisfying abilities you can have as a gamer!

The career mode is where you'll find yourself the most. This consists of racing a small circuit of races--normally about 3 10. The object is to come in first in the points total so that you can amass the most points in the career totals to unlock new courses and cars. Great fun and you'll find yourself replaying many of the circuits with the new cars you unlocked to see how much better you can do! There's plenty to do and see and the races actually require some skill unlike the plethora of NASCAR games on the market.

The only downside is the soundtrack...just some generic techno that doesn't really do anything for me.

Is Rallisport Challenge the best racing game on the XBOX? I think so...

Honest reviews on Rallisport Challenge

For the most part, Rallisport Challenge really does live up to the hype. After disappointments like Wreckless and 4x4 Evo 2 I wasn't expecting much, but I was wrong.

Rallisport centers around a career mode where you compete in different types of rally racing to gain points and unlock more cars and races. Race types include ice racing, hill climbs, rallycross and traditional rallies. The tracks are pretty well varied and can be very challenging, especially the hill climbs.

My main complaint about the gameplay is the points system. Points are accumulated based on factors such as finish position and car damage. I would prefer to see overall rally position determined by cumulative time rather than points. Games such as Collin McRae Rally 2 are superior in this area.

Also, the cars aren't very tunable. The standard suspension settings and tire choices are there, but that's all. This game is clearly on the arcade side of the sim/arcade line.

Controlling the cars smoothly with the XBox controller can be a bit difficult, especially when you drive the unlimited class cars. The cars are rather touchy and the short travel of the XBox joystick makes subtle steering adjustments difficult.

Finally, the graphics really are wonderful. The attention to detail on the tracks is amazing. Drive through the grass and you'll the individual blades. Dust and damage will accumulate on your car over the course of a rally. The presentation is really well done. Just make sure to watch the replays because you'll probably miss most of it while trying to pilot your vehicle :)

Did you think Project Gotham Racing(P.G.R.) was great? Wait till you play this game. Gamers everywhere have labeled this as the Gran Turismo Killer, and I couldn't agree more with them. I recently got to play an unfinshed built of this game and I was impressed. The controls are pretty much similas to P.G.R, but you can customize it also to your liking. The Graphics really utilizes XboX's power(you think Wreckless looked good? It's nothing compared to this game), every part of the game is detailed from the grass to the trees and especially the cars! There are 25 cars to choose from including Class 'B' Mucsle cars. The game is unlike Gran Turismo nor is it like P.G.R., it is a mix of both....an arcade racer and a sim-racer. You start out on your carreer with an ordinary rally car and you can upgrade it once you got the money, but unlike Gran Turismo, this game won't have as many parts in a Car as in Gran Turismo which is not bad since some gamers like me prefer that. Theres is also modes if you just want to race without worrying about managing your carreer, you can race by yourself or with upto 4 people on a split screen.

All in all looks like a killer Racing game, a definite buy!

I am a noob when it comes to the Xbox 360. I've played in Madden tournaments and at friends places before. I was excited when it arrived so I could actually play the system for real. Not so fast. I tried to connect to Xbox Live...Status code blah blah. searched it and it ends up the System is banned from XBL Which means my purchase is pretty much useless. If I wanted to play games offline I could just play my original Xbox or just buy the games for my Wii or PS3 that are online enabled. Very frustrated.

I've browsed the previous reviews, and agree with most that's been said. This *is* the best of the series. The graphics are ridiculously good. The control is terrific. For once, you really have a feel for how the fight is going, rather than relying upon health and stamina bars that just (in this reviewer's opinion) take away from the realism -although they are an option. On the hardest difficulty, the game is absolutely a challenge, at least once your career really gets underway. You will be knocked down, you may even lose some fights, this wasn't necessarily the case in previous versions. Creating faces on character generation is much smoother and more intuitive now. The sound is fantastic. The ring girl's breasts actually jiggle when they strut around the ring between rounds.

Everything is great, really, it's a terrific addition to your XB360 library. Online is fun, there are ranked and nonmatches, it's fast and easy to get a fight, another outstanding aspect to the game that will dramatically increase its longevity.

Great! So we got all that aside, I can talk about the commercials.

I've never seen a more over-the-top case of commercialism in the game. Is this a complaint? Yes and no. I mean, watch basically any boxing match, there are going to be ads on the ring canvas, on the ropes, in the arena, even on the shorts of some of the boxers. So there's just some realism here. Does it go overboard though? Yes, I'm absolutely prepared to say it does. Before some fights, you'll be 'treated' to a 360 degree view of a new Dodge truck while the announcer tells you about it. That doesn't seem too bad, right? Okay, later, Burger King's "The King" will escort another fighter into the ring and dance around before the fight. No, that doesn't get your goat either? How about after that fight, when "The King" actually becomes one of your available trainers? That's right, you too can be trained by, and have in your corner, a creepy guy with a giant plastic grinning mask.

Look, I'm not one of those types that goes off the deep-end about stuff like this -but EA, are you listening? If you're going to throw it in our faces like this, while lining your already deep pockets with the ad revenue that you get from these placements, how about giving us a break on the cost of the game? We're paying for it, the advertisers are paying for it, wouldn't it seem fair to throw the consumers you're force feeding ad content a bone? Here's the thing, it doesn't have to be a big bone, and it gives us less reason to feel as used and abused as many of us are when the suspension of disbelief within a game/simulation like this is *shattered* by having to train with "The King". In fact, then we can cheer the gross commercialism, because we got something out of it too, a few bucks saved.

Terrific game. Worth buying, not just renting. 5 stars for the game, 1 off for taking advantage of me as a fan and customer. I should really ding it harder for that, but the game is too fun to let something sort of sleazy take away from it.

If you're into boxing, definitely take a look at Fight Night Round 3 for the XBox 360. The realism in the boxer models is rather impressive.

We know that the XBox 360 has great graphics, but looking at the characters in many other games, you might think that human beings were made out of plastic. When you see the characters here, they look *real*. Their skin has pores and imperfections.

On to the game. You get to customize your character both physically and skill-wise. You can make a small, quick hispanic, or a large, bulky, strong-punching dark skinned fighter. You can alter the hair style, tattoos, and much more. As you earn money, you can also buy new trainers and customize your skills further.

Your main career path is a mix of training and choosing contracts to fight. In training mode it's a series of standard button-pushing games that in some cases are just reflexes, but in other cases are actual combo practicing that serve you well in the ring. The training increases specific skills, so you can further customize your character by deciding how to train.

In the fight, it is of course you against a given character. There are varying levels of difficulty and we found that they did a good job of providing fun gameplay for different types of players. The beginner levels were good although sometimes challenging for a person who had never played this sort of game before. The higher levels of difficulty meant you really had to focus on what you were doing and land the combos to win.

Your character has a variety of fighting styles to choose from, and you can buy more including taunts. You can even play as historic characters if you want, including staging fantastic fight pair-ups that would have been fascinating to watch in real life, if we had a time machine to get people into the same ring.

The in-fight graphics were pretty slick. If you hit someone in the head, a spurt of blood came out of their mouth. Characters had definite personalities some were arrogant, some were hesitant as they entered the ring. When a really solid punch was landed, time "slowed down" a bit as adrenaline kicked in. Most people in real danger situations know how this happens.

There were a few down sides here. One, the training mini-games can get a bit repetitive. I would have liked to see more variety. You can skip them if you want, just accepting a "medium" level of skill increase. Also, you choose a "nickname" that the announcers refer to you by during the game. This is a neat idea, but it gets to be a bit much when they use it all the time.

Also, the commercialism in this game is just WAY over the top. There are Burger King displays all over creation. There are promotional items left and right. I realize that sports TV can be like that sometime but you watch the TV show for free. They are paying their fees with that advertising. With Fight Night, I've already shelled out a lot of money to play the game. I didn't spend all that money to watch a multi-hour long commercial for Burger King. It certainly didn't make me want to go out and eat Burger King food if anything it made me pretty annoyed with them, and unlikely to visit them in the future.

So in general, I thought the game was great, but that the "environment" you have to play in was really annoying. I would almost pay extra money for some sort of a cheat code / hack to replace all of those ads with blank space. Maybe they'll let me download that from XBox Live in the near future.

If you've played the previous 2 incarnations of Fight Night (formerly known as Knockout Kings), you know what to expect: solid analog stick boxing, with great graphics and a lively soundtrack. So what's new in 2006?

The GOOD: The graphics are amazing. One of the first games to truly look next-gen in terms of its realism. The lighting is gorgeous, and the whole presentation is top notch. Even on a non-HD television, this game shines. The controls are as tight as ever, and the haymaker is less prevalent, which is a good fix from last season's gameplay. The game is rewarding in terms of strategy, because you will NOT be able to get very far without some basic strategy (ie: learn to block and dodge, and conserve energy).

The BAD: The menu interface is a disaster. One of the worst I have seen in 20+ years of gaming: it's cluttered, counter-intuitive, and the button presses sometimes register late. There is no rankings list, just a vague "popularity meter". More stats would be nice. The soundtrack is repetitive and not all that great. The unlockable items, while cool, are buried within the depths of the aforementioned interface, which makes it actively unfun to customize your fighter.

The UGLY: While the boxer models are very realistic, the ring girls are a bit alien-looking, and feel like a cheesy afterthought.

Overall, this game is great fun. If you want a semi-deep sports game which rewards patience and practice, pick this up!

Honest reviews on Fight Night Round 3 - Xbox 360

I come home from a long day at work and I enjoy just being able to just beat up on some computer generated character. I haven't tried the online mode yet and fighting with other people on the net, but I am waiting for my Gold Subscription card to come in so that I can challenge some guys on the net. I don't have a HD tv yet, so I can't see the true graphics of this thing, but so far it is great even on a regular TV. Some of the mini games to train are a little hoaky, but the game play outweighs that. And I don't mind that some of your oppenents throw the same punches over and over again, makes it a little easier to beat em. But even then, some of em are pretty tough cuz they are fast and can take a lot of punches.

Overall... great game and can't wait for the next one.

As far as the mechanics of boxing, as a former fighter I can tell you that this game has me thinking like I was back in the ring.

I'm watching for facial reactions to my body shots, I'm watching for rythem and changing my style from round to round in order to out smart the opponent.

It's a game that think might (even in small way) help the sport itself.

I can really see where the other reviewers are coming from reguarding the advertisements, but I the Burger King guy didn't bother me... it made me laugh. So I can't take points away for advertising considering you can skip it all by just pressing the "A" button. Except for the fact that when I'm replaying a fight from the 1940's I don't think I should see a burger king or dodge logo in the back... in black and white.

So the graphics are indeed a true next-gen standard as far as the fighters are concerned.

There are even things to make the games realistic in career mode. Like the fact that wou have to work even hard to simply keep your attributes from falling quickly... I felt like a true 40 year old trying to prove himself to the young up and comers that I was indeed the greatest.

Here is my wishlist for the next game.

1. I would like to change the entry music and such like previous games. (though I can hook up my ipod and play anything I want.. it would still be nice)

2. I think it would be cool if I could wear a robe while entering the ring. I love that part of a real fight as the tension builds up and the fighters show each other how hard they really prepared to battle.

3. The Ability to save some of my fights... there were battles that I wish I could watch again. Race fans get this, why can't boxing fans?

4. More real boxers. I understand not letting fight Ali in carreer mode, but I'd still ike to fight some real fighters. This is probably expensive, but out of around 65 fights I'd like to beat more than just Roy Jones Jr. 3 times.

5. Let me come out of retirement. If I retire, but keep getting updated news about a punk who is calling me out, I'd love to be able to train up my guy again and kick his .

6. Show my fighter age. I think it would be cool if some of his hair started to grey out, or if I kept some scars from past fights... imagine having Fight Night Carreer mode having a hint of Fable!!!!

In conclusion I want to mention rivalry mode. This has the potentional to really make the game matter to some people. My rivals and I went back and forth, but one in particular.

I'm not obsessed, but I do find this game to be the best boxing experience I have had ... without the headache of taking one to many.

After having played the PS2 version, I was extremely excited when I found out that they were going to make one for the 360. It's basically the same game with some added features, and that's EXACTLY what I would have wanted.

Some people may find it slow-paced. Think of this as a board/card game, not a video game.

Some people may find the voiceovers/plot horrible. This is not a game you play for the story, but for the pure gameplay alone.

Some people may find the graphics subpar. This is not a game you play for the shininess.

If you can get past that stuff, you have a serious gem on your hands with Culdcept Saga.

I got a copy of Culdcept and can not put it down. The game is a mixture of board games and trading card games. I never really liked trading card games as a kid, but for some reason the concept really grows on me here. I have played about 4 hours so far, including some multiplayer. The game, simply put, rocks. It combines all the luck of rolling a die with the strategy of building a deck of cards. I am totally hooked. I hope the graphics would be better since its a 360 game, but for my $40, the game is worth every penny.

I am now 21, and when i found out about this game i knew i had to pick it up, and i am not disappointed at all. The online community is amazing. You don't get your singing kids, loud abrasive screaming idiots of cod4/halo 3. There is an unlimited amount of depth in this game. It's a great game and made my son think. He had to consider the various creature abilities, what changes in strength and health various items/spells would provide. While he may of been a tad young in some folks eyes (he just turned 7), he really enjoyed it. He knew the various creatures by name and if there were limitations (territory , strength, health ) etc. Just like a board game but more interactive.

I give this game multiple thumbs up and am now looking for another game similar.

Just as you have heard its exactly the like card game "magic";Nevertheless its super fun, you may even become addicted. With Video games the word addicted isn't bad, Apparently; It means the game must have something that can draw a person in and keep them interested. The most absorbing ,and intriguing parts for me were finding\locating all the cards,Messing around with my "decks".

At first you might be like huh?..Especially if you've never Played the real "Magic card game".

I say give it time;Either way, fulfillment is what you'll get.

Their is more then enough helpful information. Every question you may have is answered and explained right in the help menu supplied on the disk. Its one of those games you get a pen an paper for,To remind yourself of the little things.Like what character gave you the most green cards,Spell cards, etc. I found myself jotting down the best spells and creatures, What map/land was easiest/hardest. Also what deck helped me to gather what i seek.

You get to create a bunch of decks,Packing them up with whatever you wish. From neutral, earth, water,Air,Fire, items,Tools,Armor, scrolls,Spells

(single-target)(Multitarget)cards.Changing book covers and naming them keeps everything in order. Also it keeps records & stats of how you did on each map.You unlock new clothes such as hats, weapons, capes, etc; As you play more and more an defeat different Characters.Who you also get to play as after defeating them. You may re fight them again and again to unlock more things.

Culdcept Keeps you and throws you off many times, Example:By randomizing the characters on the maps, just when you thought you had it down. Leaving it not so predictable and easy.I remember getting p1ssed off more then a few times with a couple of the characters, but that just makes you want to play more.

I personally can't say enough about this game ,Their are many different lvls of play ,an Thinking involved. Its all about Strategy and does require Patience. Ran outta room lol

My daughter, who bought the game, wrote the following review:

In my opinion, Trauma Team is the best game in the Trauma Center Series. I really liked that they took away the timer (on most of the operations, a few have time limits). That allows you to be more precise and not be so rushed. However, the fast-paced action is not lost. In first response, it's a race to keep all of your patients alive. Some of them are brought to you in critical condition. I also liked forensics and diagnosis (especially forensics). Forensics stars Naomi Kimishima (also known as Nozomi Weaver), who was playable in Trauma Center: Second Opinion. Naomi's field lets you examine bodies, investigate crime scenes, and put together information (which usually surfaces the killer's identity). This game, which is a steal for $40, was one of the best purchases I ever made!

All I can say is that if you liked Trauma: New Blood, you'll LOVE Trauma Team! Too many time game developers rush to make a sequel and it ends up a sorry re-hashed version of the first game. Not the case here. The game developers really did their homework.

The concept is pretty unique. You perform operations in 5 different areas and as you progress through the game an intricate story unfolds for each character. It's told through motion comic in an anime style and is extremely cheesy. It's like watching a bad soap opera. But trust me, the awfulness really draws you in.

You can play in any one of 5 areas:

General Surgery: Similar to the previous games in the series. This time the storyline is you play as a mysterious surgeon serving a 250yr prison sentence for a crime he may or may not have committed. HUH??!?!!

Orthopedics: Similar to surgery but you get to use special ortho tools. It makes the gameplay less redundant. Here you play as this big lumbering orthopedic doc who's also a superhero on his off hours.

ER: Here the focus is on stabilizing multiple patients as soon as possible. And again, some of the tools and tasks are different. Here you're this super-hot type A latina ER doc.

Endoscopy: I don't really like this part of the game. You basically push a scope down an orifice (mouth, GI tract, etc.) and burn things, clamp bleeds, etc. The controls are complicated and it can make you really dizzy but anyone who's pushed a scope in real life would say the same thing. So I appreciate the game designers trying to branch out and try something different. The character is pretty lame too.

Diagnosis: Here you work as this brash Internal Med doc (ie House) and have to find clues from history, physical exam, labs, and imaging to make a diagnosis. As someone who's about to graduate from medical school i love this part of the game because i pick up on what the game developers were going for with the clues. But for non-medical ppl I could see this part of the game being really boring and tedious.

Forensics: You work as this ghost-whispereresque forensics person who has to find clues after a patient has died to figure out what happened. This is my least favorite part of the game. but other ppl, especially CSI fans, may find it to be a lot of fun.

Basically the game has something for everyone in terms of gameplay and a progressive storyline that makes you feel like you are getting you're money's worth.

GET THIS GAME! It's a MUST OWN for the wii.

The controls are as tight as ever, and this game is still entertaining, but beware if you are looking for more of the high-pressure surgeries and challenging gameplay as you may be disappointed. To make the game more accessible (and also to keep it from becoming stale) this installment adds the possibility of working as six different doctors, not just the lead surgeon. There is a "doctor dash" which makes you treat 5 different injured patients at the same time, adding a very unique tension, although at times it can feel like half-baked minigames. The new Orthopedics and Endoscopy are more similar to the traditional "Trauma" series, but each adds new unique twists.

The two other new modes are a "diagnosis" and a "forensics." You have to analyze patient statements and survey a crime scene. They are very intriguing and some scenarios are quite engaging, though it feels fairly removed from the more traditional "Trauma" gameplay. These two modes also slow-down gameplay considerably.

It also has a coop mode, but if you decide to skip it you're not really missing a whole lot.

In short, the game offers more gameplay options, the overall difficulty is lower, the game feels shorter than previous installments (owing to the adventure-style diagnosis and forensics modes). Overall still entertaining.

Honest reviews on Trauma Team - Nintendo Wii

(Written by the daughter)

I LOVE LOVE LOVED playing this game! Every second, every mode, it was just a wonderful gaming experience from the moment I clicked 'new game'. My friend recomended me the series and then my mom got me the newest one. Since the game is almost like six in one I'll talk a bit about each of gameplay modes and my opoion of them. (I played a good deal of multiplayer with my friends and brother so I'll talk a bit about that too)

Surgury:

Just like my friend's game, Second Opoion, but I don't have a timer :D This was fun to no end! On difficulty settings like Resident(intermdiate) and Specialist(hard) it proved to be ocsaoally challenging, but like I said it was nothing but fun as soon as you read the charts and pulled out your wii remote. And the multiplayer only added to it, causing ever more drama to enter as I yelled at whoever was playing with me to hurry up and raise the vitals while I took out a tumor. XD I also loved the angst-filled storyline of CR-S01 'from death row to the O.R.' as it made even the times when I didn't have my scalple extremly enjoyable.

First Response:

Exciting, dramatic, fast. Those are some of the words I could use to describe First Response. In this mode you switch between multiple paitents and treat them at the same time. It causes lots of tension and like Maria, the EMT who is the star of this mode, even as the operation ends you feel ready to yell 'Next!'...and then you realize its over. When you play multiplayer you have to split up the paitents and keep you eyes on the vitals. And once again like in Surgury, this causes the game to become even more fun and dramatic with someone else at your side.

Orthepedics:

This wasn't my favorite mode to be perfectly honest, but it was fun all the same! In this mode you basically follow guidlines to cut bone, drill holes, and insert screws(later on remove bone tumors, which is fun) Unlike the last two modes this is all about being percise, as there are no vitals for you to worry about. Because of this it offers a different calmer emotional dynamic apart from the fast paced levels spent in the E.R.

Endoscopy:

*sigh* what to say....its defiently a different type of sugury! In this mode you move an endoscope through a paitent treating small tumors and ulcers for the most part. but its suprisingly engaging as you have to push the wii remote forward every time you want to move and use the nunchuck to steer the camera, being sure not to hurt the paitent by hitting an inner wall. Some levels (like when you treat the lungs for example) turn organs we learned about in science class into vast laberiths and mazes that you have to traverse to find the affected areas to treat. ^_^

Dianosis:

After playing this every time you hear someone cough behind you you almost can't help but for you brain to say 'new symptom recorded' that being said you will smile thinking of playing this so it won't be annoying or anything X) In this mode you diagnose paitents as Gaberial Cunningham along with your robot assistant RONI. All the dialog makes this fun to play and the medical mystries are engaging. Its classic click and point for the most part, but still enjoyable and you'll be sure to see the people you diagnose in the various sugury levles connecting the stories. This and Forensics take much longer then suguries and are the only modes that allow you to save mid-chapter and are exclusivly single player. (but they make for fun nights having everyone guess what the illness is!)

Forensics:

I LOVE FORENSICS!!! If this one mode was its own game I wouldn't complaine once! Naomi's story really adds to everything and ends up being the most emotional and dramatic out of all of the various stories. You solve mystries with your parter 'Little Guy' and there is drama ahead let me tell you! This really should be played with a friend even if it is single player. Some of them can seem a bit far-fetched at times but that doesn't stop it from being pure fun! (think...Ace Attorny without being a lawyer and there's medical mystries)

All in all I loved this game to no end and will be replaying it over and over until they (hopefully) make a Truama Team 2 and I will most cetianly be buying the rest of the Truama Center seires (or asking for Christmas) My friends all promise that more challenging operations to come in the rest of the Truama Center titles and I hope I will come to love the characters from the rest of the seires the way I love these six doctors!

We play this in my house of 4 medical students and are really impressed at how close it's getting to the real thing. . . .granted, it's not a full-out 100% simulation but it is on its wayand how amazing would it be to LEARN how to be a doctor while playing on the wii? We especially like the co-op mode where if you change who gets what tool, it feels like you have a surgeon and an assistant almost like in real life.

It's kind of funny how we go on rotations, then come home and unwind playing trauma team.

There's different types of games too longer versions for people who like CSI and Phoenix Wright, and more action-packed ones.

Overall, we bought this for $50 and it was worth every penny.

Thanks Atlus, and the more realistic your games get, the more we'll buy them down here! Keep up the fun!

So I have to make this review quick.

Payday is a fantasy for those of us gamers that have hankered for the chance to play roles as the anti heroes, and feel good doing it. Who hasn't had that little voice in the back of their head when going through the drive through at the local bank that wants to pull a Heat style heist and escape with the Payday, well this game scratches that itch. Payday 2 is a much improved version of the first game, allowing for customization of the skills, masks, and weapons you want to use to make the ultimate criminal to fit your play style. The missions vary from a simple smash and grab store heist to multiple day events from meth houses to a dark highway.

The gunplay is tight, the weapons are varied, and every mission can either be ninja'd with professional finesse where nobody knows you are there, or you can tank up with shotguns and heavy armor and take the place by storm. The limit to what and how you take down your scores depends soley on your crew and your ability to work together. Overkill has taken great time and effort to work with and implement requests from players and forums to make the game cater to the fans. They generally care about the fans, take pride in making characters that are endearing and fun, and to keep you coming back for more.

You get a safe house to practice your weapons and skills in action before taking them to the field, and it doubles as a personal hangout complete with rooms for showing off your collections and armory, as well as your own vault with cash that stacks up and keeps track on a big screen to flaunt your successes to others. Every mission, while the same in scope, varies and changes each time you play it, and unless playing with the same crew over and over, your approach will too as different heisters join with different skill sets.

The price for the game is half of normal AAA titles out, and is worth every penny. Steam support was and continues to be top notch, and this is a title I will be dumping a lot of time into. If you take Heat, Left 4 Dead, and a Hollywood approach to an interactive first person experience, and think that sounds like a good time, you should have no qualms about picking up this great title.

I played for 4 hours after it went live this morning, and had about 50 hours into the Beta, minus a few hiccups, had a great launch so far. There are some hit box issues with a few weapons, some weird spawns and glitches yet, but nothing anywhere near serious that I encountered, and Overkill is actively finding, balancing, and eliminating things as they come to light. All in all, I think you should glove up, lock and load, and put your mask on. To quote Wolf, "Let's get rich."

Now if you'll excuse me, my escape van is waiting... and it is Payday.

comes with good cool stuff and is pretty fun to play some things are a little lame like the action times on the drill and lock picking times are way to long and some thing repeat them selves but I still love the game and the sound track is not that great!

Ok, if you are one of those people who like quick short reviews than just read this part. Otherwise go to the pros and cons and conclusion section. So, basically in this game you start out robbing small jewelry stores and eventually go to maximum security banks. It is a addicting because of its reward system. The CE comes with mask, gloves, wallet, and OST(more on this stuff in conclusion.) Overall it is a very good game. Buy it!

Pros:

-Gameplay: Do you want to go in guns blazing? Or stealthily take out guards and camera's? It's your choice! You can try and survive while the police assault you, or take out all guards and camera's and then tie civilians down. Plays like almost any other first person shooter in terms of control.

-Reward system: There is payday at the end of each mission where you can pick a card and unlock a mask color, mask material, mask pattern, gun customization, or extra money. You also have a small chance to get a rare item that appears very little of the time.

-Customization: One of best things about this game is the customization. You can customize your mask with a material like wood, rubber, metal, ceramic whatever you want. then change it up by adding a pattern and colors. You can customize everything about your gun such as: Barrel, Barrel extension, Extra, Gadget, Sight, Grip, Stock, Magazine, Upper receiver, lower receiver, etc.

Cons:

-AI: The AI cannot pick up bags so on the harder missions it is nearly impossible to play with them. PLAY WITH FRIENDS!

That is all

Conclusion: A very fun and rewarding game if you put your time into it and worth the 40 bucks to buy standard edition. Please don't listen to rapister. He is a troll. Now, about the CE items. The mask is a medium quality rubber mask that I like a lot. It is based off of the character Dallas' mask in the game. The gloves are just surgical gloves. Not latex in case you were wondering. The wallet is decent and is the wallet I am using right now. It is not just printer paper. It feels like it is made of similar materials to that of real money. The Soundtrack is absolutely amazing. I already transferred the song to my phone.

the gameplay is great except for some minor glitches(i got trapped behind a door) the mask is great, the soundtrack is great, the wallet feels like three or four pieces of paper stuck together to get that thickness, the gloves are like any other you would get from like the doctors office. over all a great game to get if you are looking for a co op shooter to hang out with your friends with!!!!

I have been having a fun time with this game. There hasn't been a co-op game this fun since Left 4 Dead. This game is not for kids! For the price I am very happy with what I got.

I was so excited for this game to come out. I waited for it for months... sadly it's not as good as the original. The most disappointing part for me is that they've added a time limit. And if you don't complete the level within the time frame then you have to start the level all over. What happened to the good old days where your character would just die of dysentery or snake bite?

When I got this I was hoping for scenarios where educated decisions would be the core of the game. All this amounts to is a driving game... with oxen. Medicine fixes anything whether its illness or broken limbs. Hunting is alright and not much different from past versions. The interaction has been dumbed down to drudgery or frustration with little to absolutely no educational benefit. If the original could work on a dinosaur like windows 95 I don't see why they couldn't just remake that for modern hand held systems.

When I was a kid, I had 1996 Oregon Trail on my computer. This was always one of our favorite games. I also played the 3rd edition when I was younger, which included fishing.

The major difference with this game is that it includes a new element where you need to steer the wagon to avoid hitting obstacles, which damage your wagon and oxen. This adds a little more action to the game. If you hit too many obstacles, you will need to rest so you can repair your wagon and so your oxen can heal. You also have the ability to customize your wagon with different colors and patterns.

All the old bits of Oregon Trail are there as well: Choosing a profession to get certain advantages, naming your family members, buying supplies, hunting, fishing, gathering, trading, illness, regulating wagon speed, stopping to rest when your health is dropping too low, and of course there's also trying to arrive at your destination as soon as possible in good health and with plenty of supplies to get a good score.

All in all, I find it to be a very enjoyable game at a great price (I paid $12.65 new). There are a couple different story lines and levels to complete, including some levels that occur in a later year, which means you can expect tense relations with the Indians.

Honest reviews on The Oregon Trail - Nintendo 3DS

I got this game today, and after playing for almost an hour and a half, I have to say it's pretty neat and nice! I bought this game because I love the Oregon Trail so I thought it would be good to get the 3DS version of the game. The game didn't come out exactly like I thought it would be, but it's pretty great! Shipping was fast and I pretty much like the game! Glad I got it.

Thank you!
