At first pass this game might not seem like much, but after I learned all the moves (there is a tutorial in career mode) I began to really get excited about this game. The fish sometimes are stubborn, they fight hard and I have lost a lot of lures already to snags and broken lines. Also at the time of this writing, I am #37 on the largest fish caught leaderboard. Upgrading equipment makes a real difference in catching the fish, so upgrade often. The game gives good lure tips for each location and fish for those who are less than knowledgeable about what to use for each fish. The 10 locations are well-rendered with a day-cycle that has a noticeable effect on fishing.

The rod and reel control at first feels awkward and I kept fumbling for different buttons, but I soon figured out the logic.

You can somewhat customize your 'character' but a little more options such as sunglasses, hat etc would have been nice. Also once you choose your options you can't change it for that profile, but you have several profile slots.

The achievements seem pretty straight forward, especially for BPS first time out into gaming.

In future editions, we could hope to see more locations, more kinds of fish ( I was hoping for some rainbow trout), more ways to customize your character and more upgrades.

This game is NOT a deep immersive story-line, nor a thrill a second action game. What it is however is a fun, entertaining game that does it's best to realistic and engaging to anybody who has any interest in fishing. It's a game I'll keep and play long after I get the full 1000 gamerpoints...at least until the next one comes out!

This game is really fun, and crazy addictive. The only warning I'd give is that learning to cast accurately can a be a little difficult. I also had a defective controller out of the box, so be cautious when you buy your copy of "The Strike". Overall it's a great game, and if you love to fish, you'll love playing this game.

It's one of those products that you just know is either going to suck, or be a whole lot of fun. Luckily, "The Strike" with the motion control fishing pole falls into the latter category, and is very enjoyable. Just be patient with learning how to cast!

Best Deals for Bass Pro Shops: The Strike Bundle with Fishing Rod -Xbox 360

The Game overall is good. The new fishing controller for the 360 I think is lacking responsivness. I think the Wii controller would be better. I got it for the 360 for mainly graphics, but also becuase it seemed to have a better overall controller. But the graphics aren't that good for an xbox 360 game. I would compare the graphics to that on the Wii. The making of your character is really weak, just a few options, but I expected that. The casting is pretty difficult if you don't go through the tutorial first...But I think the casting action for this game is unnecessary. Its not like a smooth cast as if you were actually fishing but I guess that just adds more difficulty to the game....

****THE GOOD**** The game is fun, the career mode is really good. You start out like a regular angler that has a $ gift card to Bass Pro Shop. So you go in and buy the lures you want, which has a lot better selection of lures unlike the other fishing games. The catching of the fish is hard sometimes but you get the hang of it. The bass tourny's in the game are realistic so they are hard if you can't find the fish, but very fun. So overall I think they did a good job my only complaint is the controller, it think they could have done better, but it is still a good setup. Hope this helped you and you enjoy. Thanks for reading.

Purchased this game with a big savings from getting at Best Buy or Walmart game came fast and packaging was a little hurried i thought but still the game and fishing rod is a blast. Took about an hour to figure out how to cast the thing the instructions in the book are not too clear so would reccomend getting online and watching the tuturial that is availabe by video. Once you have the casting down it is a blast i have never fished with a lure before and this is a good training tool for that purpose and when you do get a bite the rod feels just like a real rod with a fish fighting on the end .. the fish sometimes leap out of the water when putting up a good fight!. the fishing rod is made of plastic and could of been made better as it feels like it might break at any given moment .. but as for realism -hands down the best fishing game out there.

This is DEFINITELY worth the $99.99 price tag back up to almost $150 (still worth it!!!), you get a tonne of great mixes, two turntables and a microphone, and if you pre-ordered it through one of the different promotions, you could've come out with a Puma bag or autographed turntables (this one being more expensive), shirts, etc. They have also released a patch so you can use DJ Hero 1 DLC (not DJH1 disc songs but DLC mixes) in DJH2. And if you are looking for the best deal, I think this WAS it. keep checking to see if they go on sale for $99.99 again.

I bought the Renegade Edition of DJH1 when it came out and enjoyed the game but felt certain things were missing from the gameplay mechanics. DJH2 is a lot more fun with the new gameplay, scratching is much more fun, cross-fading is really great, there's some of other nice things they've added and/or changed. Overall, this game is much improved on the first game, I haven't really played too much online myself though.

The track list in my opinion (subjective) is way better than the first. As soon as I heard Deadmau5, Kaskade and Calvin Harris were in this game, the price was more than justified (I paid at $154.99 haha) and still is considering what you get, especially the $100 price tag. The equipment is decent quality I haven't had any issues, however, I wish the microphone cord was longer, compared to my RB/Logitech mics it's kinda short. Some people won't mind this, but I would have liked it to be longer, oh and by the way, the DJH2 microphone works perfectly in RB and GH games (if anyone was wondering), not sure about the other singing style games (but I'd imagine it would be compatible for the most part).

This is perfect for people who are really into music (especially dance/electro/hip-hop) and video games or if you're a fan of music genre video games (RB/GH). It's a fun game for anyone really, just needs more Calvin Harris, Kaskade and Deadmau5!!!

*I added a bunch of pictures above as well.

** Minor spoilers included in text **

In this game, you play "Mouse" (you can rename him -I did), a thief/bard who is journeying to an island to play at the wedding of a popular ruler. But... All is not as it seems on the island. The bride is unhappy, the ruler has some secret, and there is something funny going on with time...

This game uses the same "time loop" plot device that you've seen in "Groundhog Day" and others. But here, it is a 5 days that repeat. The first "week", you are basically led by the hand to every major encounter by your beautiful, fiesty guide Rummy (the leggy redhead you see in the screenshots). After the first week, though, you are free to explore, figure things out and recruit people in whichever order you want. Didn't save whats-his-face on Day 4? Don't worry, next week he'll be alive again, and you can save him then.

Story: (8 out of 10) I won't give the main story away, but I enjoyed it. The time-loop plot device was a good twist, as you could do things differently the next week and see what happened.

Characters: (9 out of 10) I liked most of the characters, with the exception of the princess -she seemed bored, and to complacent. Rummy and Rinna where my favorites. The characters had personalities, and for the most parts, stuck to them well. Only games I like better for characters would be Grandia 2 and Lunar 2.

Combat: (7 out of 10) Party based, like most console RPG's. This time, though, attacks are happening simultaneously, so you need to choose your options quickly. I liked the skill system, and the ability to learn skills by watching other players. Still, I would have liked for it to pause while I was choosing options.

Graphics: (6 out of 10) This is the worst part of the game. Still, they are better than PSX quality. But they could have used better lighting. The character models are good though I especially liked Rinna and Rumi.

Enjoyability: (9 out of 10) Can't really put it into words, but I find this game very fun. Supposedly there are multiple endings, I'll try for each one. I feel I got my moneys worth on this game.

A lot of people seem to like the "guitar freaks" mini game. This is a minigame where you pluck tunes by matching colors that are scrolling up screen. Well, it wasn't my cup of tea, and to be honest I was horrible at it. But I found that it didn't really matter whether you were good at it or not. (One of my favorites: "oh, that must have been the 'progressive' style that I heard about!") So don't be put off if you can't play it. I can't, and still had fun!

Sever reviewers on the game sites seem to be bashing this game I believe they didn't play past the first week. The first week should really be considered an intro to the eventsthe game really begins on week 2.

True, I'll be the first too admit that EF has it's problems... problems that will smack you right upside the head a few times as soon as you start in fact. Example, whenever you look at a character head on, looks like they don't have a nose...okay that's not a gameplay flaw, but a graphical oddity. As to a gameplay factor, it is EXTREMELY non-linear after the first few days, so while it offers a ton of freedom to do as you please, that also means alot of chances to get lost. But still, once you getting past those inital hurdles, I think you'll found a very enjoyable story. Patience is the key in this game, and it will pay off if you can manage it.

Many people have steped on this game. I respect that, this game was not for them, much like some games are not for me, sports games, for instance. You will like this game if you like RPG's and fantasies and have a little patience. You will not like this game if you have a game shark and get board of games quickly. This game is not for those people. For my part, I think you should rent it and not listin to other people, see if you like it for yourself. I will leave one hint though: Without some kind of guide or gamefaqs.com, this game may take you a very, very long time to beat.

Honest reviews on Ephemeral Fantasia

So that's what the guy at the store had told me when I decided I must have this game simply because it was an RPG and the cover was interesting enough. Spending [money] hasn't always been my favorite thing to do especially on PS2 games yet I must say this is probably one of the most pleasing investments I've made. The story basically is about a bard named Mouse (yeah... like those furry things with tails ^_^) who has been invited to compose and play a song at a wedding on an island. I really don't want to give any story away, but let's just say things don't go exactly as planned and Mouse ends up having to try and save the island. You can recruit up to 10 different people for your party and the graphics aren't that bad (especially for a dreamcast to ps2 conversion). The game is also in real time and certain objectives must be completed at certain times a lot like the Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. There is no speaking dialogue in it, though, and the game (like all RPGs) requires patience. I gave it a 5 star because I really like it, but unless you are a hardcore RPG fan I would suggest renting it before buying just to make sure you'll like it. If you're an RPG fan, on the other hand, ...what's stopping you from trying out this newest addition Konami has produced? (..They made the Suikoden series, I think they deserve a chance on this game hands down!)

Ephemeral Fantasia is one of the biggest games out there on the PS2. It combines all the natural elements of a great RPG, storyline, battle system, characters, music, and minigames.

Right when I started this game, I knew it would be a long game. You play as a a musician, Mouse, who has been hired to play at the princess's wedding on the island of Pandule. Only when you arrive, a dark secret about the island is revealed. The game is seperated into weeks with a monday tuesday type system, with a clock as well. You have to use the clock to meet certain people at the right time or complete a certain event. Timing is EVERYTHING in this game.

The island itself is giant, with tons and tons of characters to interact with. The island has 49 different map pieces you can collect, to show you around the island. It is just huge, with about 5 towns you can visit. Try and find shortcuts. The game contains 12 characters you can recruit onto your team. It will take time, patience, and thinking to recieve each character.....

The battle system is in real time so you must choose your attacks fast to avoid being attacked yourself. There are different skills you can learn called Arts. Make your Arts grow levels and you might learn a knew attack. You can also learn different attacks from you teammates, as well as tons of magic.

I was blown away by the variety in this game. But what is a game without the proper music. Have you ever played a game with the volume on mute? Well its pretty hard to play like that. This game have the coolest music, where ever you go, battle, or outside. You can also add on replay value to the game by using your guitar, Pattimo, to play different music, that is a very fun minigame, as well as Death Hykato raising, and tons more.

But seriously, Ephemeral Fantasia is a really cool game, with endless replay value, and pure fun. I would reccomend this game to all RPG players alike, this game is definatley a must buy for the PS2

Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace - PC Reviews

Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace - PC

The Phantom Menace. Sometimes this game seems like an excellent one, while at others it is downright boring and silly.

The graphics, while not the best, are certainly the best i'll ever see on my fast-approaching obsolete computer. They are still pretty impressive though, as are the reflections, particle trails, and other little graphical effects. The sounds and voices are all pretty good too.

While the first few levels and the last few levels are pretty much fun, the Tatooine levels are boring and silly. Also, after playing the jedi for half of the game, you feel immeasurably weak when you are forced to play as panaka or the queen with her wimpy "droid stunner" gun.

The first time you play this game, it is pretty fun and challenging. Most of the puzzles aren't too difficult, but then you get to those jumping puzzles like the one on level three, and due to the awkward POV and controls, it takes twenty minutes to cross that little bit of water. This becomes a constant problem later...little jumping puzzles that take a vast amount of time and get very annoying very fast. It's also annoying running around tatooine, running when people try to kill you but not allowed to kill them, and trying to trade things back and forth.

Fortunately, the darth maul fights are pretty cool.

The second time you play the game, it's extremely easy, and I don't think I died once, and I beat the game in one sitting. Boring, fast, this game is fun the first time but has no replayability value. Add to that the lack of variety in enemies (100's of battle droids with once and a while a destroyer thrown in), and the lack of multiplayer, and you get a game which is decent but not worth the original $50 price.

Now that the price has gone down, if you like these types of games, I'd recommend trying it, but if you prefer shoot-em-up action games, stear clear of this one.

I'm not really much into top of the line graphics and all that stuff. I play a game if it sounds fun. So yeah the graphics aren't the best but the games alot of fun. Several people were complaining about Tatooine levels. If you play it the way you're supposed to then yeah its sorta boring. I don't play it the way I'm supposed to when I've finished the game once. Try attacking some random people or walking throu the dung. Make it interesting do it your way, if you want to run through the streets of Tatooine and killing every person in sight and being chased by all the guards, swinging their vibroaxes at you and yelling "You're a no good killer," and stuff like at you than do so. I've always liked padme in the movies so playing her is pretty fun, yeah when you first get her she has an extremely wimpy stun blaster, but if you look behind you or go into nearby buildings, there are grenades, blasters, and proton torpedo launchers. The level on Coruscant is my least favorite in the entire game, just because running around in the depthes of Coruscaht trying to find Queen Amidala gets annoying. The only other level I don't like is the 4th level, which takes Obi-Wan trying to get Queen Amidala out of Theed, while having to get her past AAT's and bunches of droids, and if you leave her alone too long they'll say "The Queen has been killed," when she alives you get sayings such as "YOu're stepping on my dress," and "I never knew Jedi could be so rude," from her. Overall it's a really fun game just play it your way, explore, do what you please on it, (within what the game allows of course)

Best Deals for Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace - PC

The Phantom Menace takes you on a journey through the great moments of the film. It features very sharp looking graphics with a third person view (a la Tomb Raider.) There are many puzzles within the actions scenes. Each of the levels are pretty long and will take time for you to complete. The hardest of which is when you first meet "the mysterious little boy." There isn't much to say bad about the game except that it could have benefited from being first person rather than 3rd. Some of the camera angles are weird. Other than that, this is a very solid effort.

Honest reviews on Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace - PC

There weren't enough levels in this game and the graphics where too 2D in some parts. Other than that it's a great game. The action is great and the storyline is pretty good. However Mos Espa is too confusing and Darth Maul is too easy both times you fight him. The game also needed to stay closer to the movie. Other than that it's a great game.

Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace - PC

The graphics weren't the best, but hey, the game was LONG. My favorite levels were the last level ones w/ the Queen(when she has weapons) and w/ Obi-Wan when he tries to reach Qui-Gon and Darth Maul. One thing that I didn't like was the Otoh-Gunga(?) level where if you kill one stupid Gungan you get attacked by all of them. Also every once in a while, you run into some bugs(the computer ones)and then you have to restart your game a lot. The Darth Maul duels were pretty easy too, once you know what you're doing. For anyone stuck on any part of this game I suggest looking up game guides on the internet.

In my opinion, this game is worth the money. So quit staring at the screen and buy it already!

I was lucky and got this disc with my starter kit it's pretty awesome! If you put down a sky-changer, you can turn your sky into a night-sky with a bunch of castles and candles in the background. It even changes the music, and you get a tranquil-sounding guitar song.

I don't have any other discs so I can't say how this compares to the others (haven't bought any booster packs or anything), but I'm really happy I got this one, haha.

Review of Alan Wake

Alan Wake
Customer Ratings: 4 stars
Buy Now
I went in expecting something similar to a silent hill resident evil clone/mix; what i got however was an excellent game that perfectly melds the craft of writing and video games for something that (to me at least) is a wholly new and unique experience; moreover being a somewhat avid reader I caught tons of allusions to other works (notably Stephen King, and H.P Lovecraft). I can easily say that this is amongst my top 5 favorite games of all time. The graphics are immaculate (though i must say the animation leaves a little to be desired (everyone talks as if they got a little excited with the Botox injections)) but ignoring that small fault the game is In my opinion, perfect.

If you like horror novels, believe me when i say this game is not something you'll regret spending money on.

but be warned, this is not similar to most games, in the sense that most of the story is left up to the player to discover, and if you're not ready to spend time deciphering the clues, then the game (the ending in particular) will only serve to annoy you.

in short 10/10 easily, much more deep compared to other games in the genre, doesn't rely on cheap thrills.

The Good: Graphical upgrade looks great, memorable story and characters, great pacing, interesting gun play mechanics, included DLC is a bonus

The Bad: Gun play gets repetitive after awhile, can be tough in spots, driving isn't any fun, a little on the short side

Even after 2 years Alan Wake is still an excellent game. With updated visuals for PC, and the inclusion of both DLC, the PC version is worth the buy. Even 360 players should come back for another shot just to see the sweet new looks. Alan Wake was my favorite story of 2010 and is still great today. You play as Alan Wake, a famous New York author who takes a vacation to the Northwest in Bright Falls. He ends up renting a cabin, and before you know it his wife jumps into the lake. He then wakes up from a car accident and so your adventure begins. I can't give away anything except he is writing what is happening to him. The story is very novel like and has a great pace. The narrative is delivered with likeable characters and great voice acting.

You walk around collecting manuscript pages that will tell you kind of what's going to happen in the next scene. You can also find coffee thermoses as collectibles, but I wonder why thermoses? Is this a jab at the hot coffee mod for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, or a little sign that the guys at Remedy were up long nights trying to complete this? Who knows, but it is an interesting thing. There is also a strange phone barcode tag that has a strange stab at Max Payne. I think back when Alan Wake was released it was a hint at Max Payne 3.

The whole game is wrapped around light and dark gameplay, literally. You use your flashlight to burn away darkness from The Taken and then shoot them until they disappear. The gunplay is challenging and can be fun. There are various tools for burning away darkness like the flare gun, which does major area damage, flashbangs, and flares give you distance from enemies. You can also get bigger flashlights later on which burn away darkness faster. Most enemies will throw weapons at you or attack you directly with scythes, axes, and bats. The whole game is set in the countryside so The Taken look like farmers, sheriffs, loggers, and various other occupations in those areas. The Taken are pretty creepy because they spurt out lines about their occupation in mixed normal talk and deep creepy voices.

There are some environmental light sources you can use like giant spotlights, and some smaller ones to help you fight the darkness. The combat overall is fun and challenging, but never changes which means repetition sets in quickly. Thankfully the game is paced nicely so you aren't constantly fighting. A lot of the time you are running from the darkness and it can possess objects and throw them at you. Of course you have to burn it away so that stops. Large vehicles like tractors, bulldozers, and trucks act as bosses. A lot of the fighting is also broken up with cut scenes and in-game dialog.

This is pretty much all there is to it except the lame attempts at puzzles. There are a few spread out, but they really aren't puzzles at all. I think the game could have used some better ones, but what is here works well enough. There are some fun set pieces that are memorable, but there is one issue I don't understand. Why do survival horrors have crappy driving mechanics? First it was Alone in the Dark, then Deadly Premonition, and now Alan Wake. The cars drive like you're on ice, and despite boosting the lights to run Taken over, they damage the car real quick.

Anyways, the game looks gorgeous with nice DirectX 10 effects that are actually noticeable. The lighting is better, the effects are better, and the higher resolution textures are a sight for sore eyes. The Xbox 360 version, even when it was released, didn't look too hot with blurry textures which made it look ugly in spots. If you have the rig to run this game you are in for a visual treat. The nice effects like lens flare from the flares that blind your vision, and overall lighting effects look fantastic here.

Overall, for the $30 Alan Wake is a steal for PC gamers and a nice price for 360 owners so maybe traded in their game long ago and want another go. This game is memorable and so is the story. This is a game you will talk about amongst friends. From the Night Springs mini-shows you can watch, to the radio station commentary, there is a lot of ambiance and atmosphere that horror games need to learn from.

Best Deals for Alan Wake

First I would like to say thank you to who ever made the decision to bring alan wake to the PC in the end.

This was an awesome game and I had a lot of fun playing it. Gameplay was hella fun. Using the light to unmask the creatures of darkness yielding them to gun fire for final obliteration is plain simple fun. Besides the manuscripts the other collectables are pointless and I felt they didn't add anything to the game. I felt the urge to collect the coffee therms when I saw them but dreaded it every time. Must be an OCD thing. Interesting and dark storyline help motivate you to continue the game and adds to the overall gameplay. I found the story to drag a little bit towards the end but overall was still a fun "read". The graphics were very good. I played on high with my PC and only noticed a few slow downs during scenes with companions that also had light sources moving around the environment.

I would highly recommend this game in the $15-$20 price range. I played comfortably through the game (on normal mode) without rushing and had about 12 hours game time.

Honest reviews on Alan Wake

I have a new HP envy dv6, which if I recall is perfectly capable to handle this game. I installed it which took over 10 hours total wirelessly and the game image and cut scenes were distorted. Sorta of like a black and white display. I would not recommend due to that fact that it did not work on my laptop which could preform this game. On the bright side though I emailed Amazon, show some pictures of what I am experiencing, and was able to get a refund. Just wish the game could've worked, oh well... money saved right?

I have owned a Xbox 360 since 2005, and I've gone through a couple of controllers in that time. I finally needed a new one so I bought this one with the upgraded D-Pad and it is fantastic!

Not only is the raised D-pad fantastic but I use it way more now than ever before. It makes going through menus and such much easier.

Not only that but the grips on the joystiq's are upgraded with ridged cups instead of just a smooth curve top. It makes control I think much better especially during fast movements.

Not only that but there is a texture now to the entire controller, which makes holding it when your hands get sweaty much easier.

I really hope these controllers will work on the next Xbox, because I definitely plan on using this until it dies.

I bought as a replacement and so far it has been Great. I can not comment on the changeable d-pad as I have not found a use for this. The controller holds a great charge and it comes with a empty battery shell if you ever need to use batteries while waiting for the controller to charge. You also get the charge cable and a course a chargeable battery. Definitely worth the $45

What's there to say? Its a new 360 controller, folks. Those are always nice. Especially when you need a new one. I don't use the transforming d-pad at all, but it is a free feature, and free things rock. I like the new sticks, too. They're more grippy. I know that's not a word, but it describes it best. The old controllers just had those little nubs on them. This new one's got grooves on them to really provide good purchase for your thumbs.

I had this on a wishlist for Christmas and although the picture is of a black controller, I got a special edition Grey controller instead. I'm definitely okay with this, especially seeing as how this controller is supposed to be $95. Works great, recharger is great.

I just purchased this charging station from Best Buy on an impulse and I am glad I did. First of all, its BLACK glad someone finally made something for us XBOX ELITE owners! No more messy USB charging wires coming from the XBOX... no more leaving the XBOX running while the controllers are charging! This unit plugs directly into your wall power outlet! Says made in China but it appears very well made. The chargebase even has rubber pads on the bottom to prevent it from sliding all over your entertainment center. The NYKO batteries fit and worked perfectly right out of the box. Placing the controllers on the base after gaming is a breeze. When you place your controllers on the base the LED light turns RED indicating it is charging your controller. When the charger is done it turns green and then turns off. Thanks NYKO for making such a great product at an affordable price!

Nyko keeps showing us that even though they make great products, there's always room for improvement.

I have two of these. The first version, which I bought long ago, has the two big lights you see on some of the pictures. Those lights turn red while charging and green once fully charged; and eventually go off if you leave the controllers in it, which is basically what this unit does, it provides a charging and organizing solution for controllers.

Now, the unit presently being sold at amazon is the newest version of the product I just described above, with some changes and a great addition. The unit now has a USB port on the front. You can use it to charge the 360 wireless headset and/or any USB base electronic (PS3 controller, cellphone, etc). The charger remains plugged to your AC outlet, but it does not drain energy, unless you are charging controllers or USB devices.

The charging indicator has been change, it no longer has the two LED lights, it now has two controller graphics on it, each marked as 1 & 2, to indicate wich controller is being charged, one front, two rear. They each have a small light that again, turns from red to green to off.

You get the following: the charger, two rechargeable batteries and instructions. Basic, yet extremely useful. This charger is great for any level gamer, the fact that you can drop & forget, is a great feature. No power buttons to worry about. Nothing.

Get this charger, you will get your money's worth in no time. The addition of the USB port was a pleasant surprise. I didn't know it had it until I got my charger. Nyko makes such good products that I didn't even bother reading the description before I bought it.

One more thing, Nyko has a great customer support team, I have dealt with them numerous times, not because of faulty products, but for my own needs (extra batteries, PS3 connectors, etc) and they were always helpful and resolved my issues quickly and with little effort on my part, so in the rare case that you should need technical assitance, I'm sure they will help you in a heartbeat.

I am a Nyko fan/supporter and will remain so as long as they stay in business. I have two 360 chargers, the PS3 move and controller charger and they Wii charging stations, all of them have done a great job without any problems.

There will always be negative reviews, but I can honestly tell you, I haven't had any problems so far. Some people have to understand, sometimes faulty products go through quality inspections, and that applies to anything you buy nowadays, but in this case, if you receive a faulty Nyko product, do your part, call Nyko or Amazon. Either one will help you solve the issue. Good Luck.

I purchased this charge for the 360 after giving the PS3 equivalent to my father in law. I have to say it is great. The batteries fit with out any complications . It turns off when the charge is complete. It holds the controllers so I can find them.

Honest reviews on Nyko Charge Base 360 S for Xbox 360

This Nyco charger with two batteries is a great value for anyone that has just purchased an Xbox and is looking for rechargeable batteries and a charger base.

As you can see from the picture it comes with charger base that can accomodate two controllers with the batteries in place. It also comes with two batteries for only !

However, this charger will not recharge the standard Microsoft batteries ()as those are not compatible with the Nyco Charger base.

I unfortunately now have two Microsoft batteries that require the play and charge kit (above) and this Nyco charger and two Nyco rechargeable batteries. If this charger could charge the Microsoft batteries as well this would have earned a 5 rating.

I have only had this prodcut for a week and its performance is superb so far. The batteries came almost fully charged so it took less than 15 mins total to charge both. Mine arrived from Target/ITC via Amazon. I selected the black model to match my Xbox. Hope this helps.

This was a great product for the first few months. The batteries seemed just as good as the originals in terms of battery life. They didn't fit quite as nicely in the controllers as the original batteries, but were still perfectly useable. The charge base helps keep the counter tidy too. Unfortunately, after a few months, the charge base would no longer detect when a battery was fully charged and would always try to charge the batteries. Additionally, the charge base would try to charge while the controllers weren't even in the cradle. The red charge lights stay on all the time whether the controllers are in it or not. That is, for a few days until the charge base turns off altogether and refuses to charge anything. I can get it working again by unplugging and plugging back in the charge base, but then the red charge lights are on constantly again. I'm worried about it overcharging the batteries since the batteries are warm every time I take the controllers out of the charge base. It does still charge them though, so I can't complain too much. I think I just got a bad one. I'd be willing to try another one when I'm in need of new batteries. The good news seems that the batteries have a pretty good life expectancy.

This game has been quite a fun play but it is hard (read: impossible) to control your character without the nunchuk, even though the game says that it can support using only the wii remote without the nunchuk. I think that without a nunchuk the characters movement is controlled by how you tilt the wii remote and when you're smacking it up and down to smash buildings there's a bit of additional movement there, so the monsters end up getting stuck in the corners and all that "fun" stuff. Once I got the nunchuk hooked up, everything was great and I started having lots of fun playing the game.

The gameplay is fun, probably not as fun as the original, but then I'm not 12 anymore either. There are quite a few "unlockables" that will keep you busy for awhile.

Graphics fine, nothing amazing it'd be nice if they had done them slightly better, but nonetheless it didn't detract from the overall game experience.

I think that this is a very fun game, especially if you have multiple players it's fun to watch people play it too.

I bought this game for my son to go with his new Wii. At first we tried playing with just the Wii-mote. It was difficult to get my monster to go where I wanted him to go. The we plugged in the nunchuk and the real fun began. Like in the original game, the monsters can climb buildings, jump, smash things, grab objects and people out of windows for a health boosting snack and pound away on each other. This was one of my favorite arcade games and with the motion sensing remote, the Wii has brought the arcade into my living room.

Not only was this game a lot of fun, it was also half the price of the other games available for the Wii.

Okay, lets get one thing out of the way right now. This is not a terribly engaging game and there's nothing overly impressive about it. You smash things, you eat people--that's about it. There is a little, but not much, variety throughout the game, and for the most part gameplay consists of just destroying various cities (which are, of course, different, but not overly so).

That having been said, this is quite an entertaining game. It's not something I'd play for hours on end and certainly more fun with another person, but it's great for releasing that pent-up aggression. And let's face it--part of the appeal of the Rampage franchise was always just the notion that you got to BE one of those huge monsters attacking a city.

The controls are adequate but not spectacular, though it's fun to swing the Wii remote around as you destroy helicopters and throw oil tankers into the side of buildings. I definitely wouldn't recommend it without the nunchuck, though--it's tough to control a monster's movement with the remote alone. There is kind of a weak story (with a very entertaining clip at the beginning) and objectives you have to meet in each city to beef up the gameplay a little, but mostly the game is just about breaking stuff. There are many new monsters to unlock as well, and I really enjoyed playings some of the new ones (read: giant chicken).

This game also has the classic Rampage and Rampage World Tour versions with it, so be prepared for a little nostalgia trip if you were into those games as well. In my opinion this is what a Wii game should be--a lot of fun without a huge time commitment or an overly detailed storyline.

Who doesn't love smashing cities and eating people and kicking cars?

Same old arcade game of getting shot and eating and distroying everything but now with the Wii remote you SMASH and SWIPE and DESTROY!

This is a fun game. The real problem with it is in its ultra-repetitive nature. Crush buildings, then go and crush buildings, then after that, find some buildings to crush. For 20 bucks its plenty fun, but if i had paid the typical $50 price tag of wii games, id have been a sad panda.

Last year's bumper crop of shooters, such as "BioShock", "Halo 3" and "Call of Duty 4", were notable for coupling bone-jarring realism with finely crafted epic stories. "The Club" promises something a little different.

There's no saving humanity, no detailed world to explore, no need to bone up on military strategy or tactics. Instead, "The Club" boils down simply to this: how many people can you shoot, and how fast can you do it?

Sure, the game is thinly wrapped in a pulpy "Running Man"-style story casting you as one of eight characters, such as an extreme-sports thrill-seeker or a burly Russian hunter, drawn into an underground blood sport for the amusement of rich fans.

That's an excuse, if one was needed, for blasting your way through a variety of mostly industrial settings or fending off waves of attackers as you try to stay alive for a set period of time.

The twist in "The Club" is that you rack up points for each kill, and by stringing kills close together, you earn bonuses that multiply your points. Extra points are awarded for stylish moves like head shots, or breaking through a door and taking out opponents on the other side.

The graphics are decent but not spectacular given where we are in the Xbox 360's lifespan. Sound production is bordering on great, with the various weapons producing a variety of satisfyingly realistic blasts.

The best design element of the game is perhaps the control scheme, which is intuitive and simple, and is notable for the wonderful inclusion of a "quick spin" button that whirls you around 180 degrees in an instant. That's a useful trick when you are beset by foes on all sides, and hopefully will be something that makes its way into other games.

There are eight levels, eight characters with different attributes to choose from, a nice array of weapons, and good variety of game modes. I am guessing it will take an average player an hour to finish each level, though experienced players can probably whip through them in half that.

That's okay, though, because there's plenty of replay value as you'll want to rerun a level to see if you can beat your last score, or that of your buddy's. A "gunplay" mode lets you design your own challenges and play through them with friends. An online competitive mode should also provide extra play value, though I haven't tried that out yet.

The game was developed by UK-based Bizarre Creations, which lifted the core game element from its well-regarded "Project Gotham Racing" driving series that rewards stylish moves like power slides, drafting and catching air. Criterion Games did something similar with 2005's "Black", which wallowed in gun-enabled destruction the same way its popular "Burnout" racing series did with spectacular car crashes.

"Black" didn't revolutionize the genre but got generally positive reviews, a precedent that looks to be repeated for "The Club". It may not be in the same league as recent acclaimed shooters, but the fast-paced action and wide selection of solo and multiplayer challenges makes up for the shallow story.

Sega's The Club feels like an old-school, arcade shooter with a next-gen gloss, and it certainly is by any stretch of the imagination. You run and race through a closed course, taking down as many enemies as you can in the process in some trigger happy, flashy ways. Once you pop in The Club, you'll be hooked by its run and gun style of play, that proves to be insanely fun at first. However, you'll find that it doesn't take you too long to get through the game, and while there are five total modes of play in The Club, many of them are very similar to each other. No matter what mode of play you are in, you have the same objective: obliterate everything in sight. The only real replay value that The Club offers is if you want to beat your own score, which will be enough reason for some gamers to go back through the game, but others will play it and be done with it. Still though, The Club looks and sounds good enough, and provides some great fun for a while, but once you finish it, which won't take too long or be too difficult, there isn't really anything left. All in all, The Club is definitely worth a look for those craving an old school, run and gun action game, but there isn't enough here to hold your interest for long.

The Club. I got this for $10 brand new from Amazon and I love it. I beat it in 3 days playing sparingly but its online play and multiplayer is awesome. For $60, no no no no no. For the low price, yes yes yes yes!

Honest reviews on The Club - Xbox 360

This is a different game from the ordinary, but there just isn't enough to seperate it from the crowd of games. The game is funner than in it is good though. The game is really easy to pick up and isn't all that hard to play. The leaderboards are neat and so is the scoring system. The only big strike to the game is that you can beat it in under 3 hours, maybe even 2 hours. The game is fun and is worth picking up for about 20 dollars, but much more than that is a bad deal. All in all if you like competitive scoring based games, in which I do, than you will like this new spin on third person action.

Overall 7.5-8.0

Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for The Club - Xbox 360

This game gets old quick, pretty much running over and over 3 different types of missions: Beat the clock, hold your ground, and fight to the exit. For the first couple of hours you will be amused and having fun. But this soon wears off as you realize even switching characters and weapons doesn't really help liven things up. The combos can be cool, but the 'head shots' are a little liberal(just shoot near the head...). Reminded me a little of the 'Total Overdose' combo idea(a game I loved, by the way!), just not executed nearly as well. The controls are decent enough(esp the sprint button...), as are most of the graphics. I really loved the concept but just wished there was a little more depth and variation to the gameplay. I was entertained for an afternoon, but couldn't imagine wanting to play this for more than one sitting. Newer gamers might find more in this than I, but after 10 years of console gaming(I'm not trying to brag...really!), this game is nothing new to a genre that has better to offer. Cool idea, though.

First, I have to say that I love this game. My little brother (he is 7, I'm 21) discovered the game on a demo disk that came with our Playstation. As soon as we got it we both had to start a game. The game is simplistic enough that he could play on his own but challenging enough that I never lost interest in the game. The individual "events" that you have to clear can sometimes be a little difficult to figure out, but usually the supporting characters that you "talk" to in the game give you enough hints to work out the solution.

I play a lot of games, and it seems like since I've played Tomba, nothing compares to it. It's an extreme strategy game that takes some brains to figure out. It's an absolutely incredible game, and now that it's so hard to find, it really stinks. My cd's keep wearing out from playing so much and I have to buy the game over and over again at $20 a pop cause it's so rare. Play Tomba! and love it!

Ive like tomba for about three years. I have beaten every event (hardest one being gold metal) I must of played this game about 6 time but i never owned it i just rented it from a videostore. Now its getting rarer i wanna own it!But it is hard and Challenging i sometimes had to go online and get the cheats. I own tomba 2. Thats a great game also.

Honest reviews on Tomba!

I bought this game for my younger, 10 year old brother. The graphics were very simplistic and colorfull, obviously designed for children. However, after watching him play for a few days, I decided to begin my own game. And what I discovered was one of the most adictive, and difficult games I have ever played. It seems like a simple, childish game at first; however it progresses into much more. Like a 2-D zelda game, it gives the player the ability to explore a multitude of worlds. Yet it is far more challenging than any zelda game that i have ever played. It gives the player that great feeling of discovery, be it of a new level or weapon, that continues throught the gameplay. I am disapointed that I am only the first review of this game. Please, buy this game. It is truely one of the unknown gems of the gaming world.

what do you get when you get the best aspects of RPGs, Platformers, and adventure games? you get Tomba, an open ended masterpiece. its filled with dozens of unique areas to explore and creatures to deal with. Packed with 130 quests, you'll be busy for hours, and they arent all necessary to finish the main game, many side quests and activities to keep you busy long after finishing the main story line.

Basically you play a wild cave-boy with pink hair, and you're trying to stop the evil pigs and their plot. yeah. pretty random = ].. theres tons of lore and backstory behind the world you explore, but in many cases you need to discover that for yourself, by talking to various friendly characters in towns and other areas you learn about them and pick up a quest or two along the way, this is where the open ended adventure comes in, the entire game world is streamlined and fully explorable, with only a short load time between certain areas, and more areas become available are you finish the quests. you can upgrade your health multiple times throughout the game, and you find new abilities and weapons very frequently.

as crisp, detailed, and colorful as a 32-bit platformer could be, Tomba looks and plays great for its time, its pure fun. this is the Mario of the 32-bit era. and thats saying a lot. a classic in the strongest sense of the word. its a shame how much you have to pay for a copy of this fantastic game anymore, but its worth every penny. 5/5
