I am a large fan of backyard sports. This is one of my favorites!

If you want to see the backyard kids more grown up and more skilled, get this. Believe it or not, Sunny Day is older too. You can earn new places, people, and coaches! If you type in a certain name under create a player, a new kid comes out to play. HINT: Read all of the credits, you will see 6 names, one is a nickname, those are names you need. Copy them down fast! I wonder what the next game will be, but this one is great! If you get it, you will love it, I know I do.

This is the best game in the Backyard Series by far. The graphics are far superior and the game is more challenging. At first glance you can easily see that the kids look like they're 5 years older. Also, when playing you're first game the gameplay is quick and it might take a game or two to get used to. When you start you are also not in the traditional clubhouse start menu. There are secret rinks, coaches, and players (Possibly Mario or Lindros?)which you can earn. The players include Curtis Joseph, Martin Brodeur, Jarome Jagr, Mike Modano, Jarome Iginla, Paul Kariya, Joe Thornton, Steve Yzerman, Joe Sakic, and ,urs truly, Brian Leetch of the Rangers. Also u can choose from a 18-30 game season plus playoffs. Practice makes perfect with this game. Enjoy!

I LOVE the backyard series. I have all the games. Personally, backyard baseball is my favorite. Well, anyways, I was very excited when I heard this game was comming out, but then thought it might be too similar to backyard soccer. Well, it is kindof similar, but it is very fun. There are about 6 fields and all the famous backyard kids are back, too. So, this game is overall good, but not a whole lot different than the soccer one....I'm still waiting for a Backyard Volleyball to come out!!Oh, guess what..one more thing...all the backyard kids have aged alittle and look different.

The skin is one giant image of Mercer that would have worked were it a wraparound style, however there are cut lines to take it off the wax paper and it is meant to join edge to edge so the sides don't match the front by like a 1/2 inch, especially apparent on Mercers arm. Bu otherwise, almost two years and a move later, has held up great and looks great! Warning: OCD people will find this a nightmare to install. I know I did. Bring a plastic putty spreader or a credit card for air bubbles.

Make sure you have the original ds or ds lite if you purchase this game. Fun game but cannot play on dsi or newer system.

This game is basically the same as the DS's first instalation of Guitar Hero this past June, but it also features song sharing, a way to utilize the first GH:DS to make the DS to DS multiplayer even more expansive (up to 53 songs to rock out together with). It includes 28 songs compared to the first instalation's 25 songs, which for the most part is a solid tracklist. It has its clinkers (as much as I love "We Are The Champions", I must admit that its 45-second piano solo do not fit Guitar Hero), but I love songs such as "Can't Stop" and "Sweet Home Alabama".

Overall, I'd say this is a pretty fun DS game. It may not vary much from the game of June, but if you liked that one, you'll have a blast with this one. Perhaps its not worth its $35 game-only price tag, but jamming out on the DS doesn't get much better than this.

i bought this for one of my daughters. she is 10 years old and she just loves this game. it teaches her about what good music is and she hears so much more in the songs playing this. its great. she has mastered about half the songs and its been about 2 weeks since she's had it. it keeps her occupied for hours!

Honest reviews on Guitar Hero on Tour Decades Bundle - Nintendo DS

I bought this game for my grandson who got the DS Lite for Christmas. He loves it and his two sisters love it too, but they have to use his DS to play it because it does not fit on the DSi's they got for Christmas. On Christmas the three of them used it most of the day and totally left all their new games alone. I would say that this one is a winner. I am very glad I ordered it.

Fight Night Round 4 - Xbox 360

I was excited for this game after enjoying FN round 3 so much.

First of all this is a video game. You cannot replicate the complexities of boxing with two hands and a controller, that being said. I understand this but expected more.... as a video game...this one sucks.

The positive:

graphics..... that's about it

The negative:

the controlsI dont care whether you use buttons or the stick, but when I command a punch or a bob and weave, I could really go without the half second delay. In real boxing it doesnt work like that, you puch/move when you need to. (Yes, I box) In Gran Tourismo or Forza motorsport the reaction isnt like that; hence, they are good games. You can't do that to boxing, timing and reaction time are critical. This game is missing this.

online the douchebags with no skill that costantly punch and win. I am trying to figure out how to counter them. Oh wait, if I could actually block or weave or punch when I commanded it to, I may have a chance. This game due to the control delay will allow those who sick/button mash randomly do well since the other guy can't time his blocks and counters due the delay in the control.

Counterpunch if boxer A punches and simply misses, and you hit back you are not credited a counterpunch "bonus". If you block a punch from boxer A and counter, you get a little bounus. If you lean/weave away you get the bounus too. Why not the first too?

Boxer Movement One speed. What the hell? if you are getting pummelled by some reject you should be able to flee or more than 1mph. Foot/hip movement in this game, which is half of boxing, is a joke.

Also, the counterpunch system is ridiculous in this game. That is basically the premise of winning. Normal non-counter punches dont do anything to harm the other guay, but you block/parry a jab and you put a straight to his face he's practically on the ground. This is ridiculous.

I could smash my opponents face with a 5 left/right hook combo to the face and it's like nothing happened. Oh wait, It all has to be a counter, that's right.

Overall, EA really screwed this one up. Shame on them. I hope a lot of people get fired. FN R3 is better. I am really really close to taking this game to gamestop to get some beer money.

Also, this online update to add the button pushing won't do squat to this game unless the delays go away.

This game is too pretty for itself.

Best Deals for Fight Night Round 4 - Xbox 360

I've played the previous Fight Nights and they've each made improvements upon the previous ones and built upon what was successful and implemented changes which generally made sense and felt as though they were refining their fight system. However, with Fight Night Round 4 they've changed the fight dynamics to an extent where even a Fight Night veteran is easily lost wondering what the developers intended and what is the rhythm they are looking for in the ring. They claim that style makes fights in this game but honestly there is only one style that dominates and wins and that is counter-punching after slipping or performing "perfect" blocks. On one level it makes sense as you're effectively capitalizing on your opponent's mistakes and making your own opportunities but the problem is that nothing else is really effective. You can be an aggressive fighter and successfully unload 3-4-5 punch combinations round after round but you'll somehow do less damage than someone who can pull off a half dozen counter punches. In a boxing match, if you were to catch someone in the middle of his punch and counter it with a nice power shot you'd probably would do some heavy damage but in this game anything that is parried correctly leaves you open to a punch that does 5 times damage than the same punch if you pulled it off in a normal exchange. It's pretty ridiculous to parry a jab or cross and have the chance to unload some Rocky Balboa hay-maker but that's exactly what you have in FNR4.

Overall, the developers wanted to create a game that was somehow truer to the challenges you'd face as a boxer but under the restraints and controls of a videogame. Unfortunately, it didn't really work and you're left with a game wondering what the heck they were thinking when they change the game dynamics so much. I mean the previous Fight Night was perhaps less realistic but it was still ultimately a fun video game which unfortunately FNR4 is not. I'm lucky that I never came around to buying the game until Christmas 09 when it was selling for $15-20 as opposed to paying full price when it came out because it's left a bad taste as it is and I think I'm going to hang up my gloves with the Fight Night series after this one.

Honest reviews on Fight Night Round 4 - Xbox 360

This game is an awesome addition to the series. I've played all the games and this one is the best by far. Superior graphics and physics make it a real experience.

Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Fight Night Round 4 - Xbox 360

The game got really repetitive and the majority of the achievements take a long time to get, I'm very glad i didn't spend the full 60 dollars for this game when it came out.

Its graphics and fighting mechanics work well and its a blast to play against your friends for a few hours, But the campaign is lacking and its training you do in-between fights to get better stats, i found myself just letting the computer do it for me because they were normally too difficult and REALLY boring for me, which then makes the fights harder... If i were to do it again i still wouldn't train my skills myself, its THAT bad.

I have owned a Xbox 360 since 2005, and I've gone through a couple of controllers in that time. I finally needed a new one so I bought this one with the upgraded D-Pad and it is fantastic!

Not only is the raised D-pad fantastic but I use it way more now than ever before. It makes going through menus and such much easier.

Not only that but the grips on the joystiq's are upgraded with ridged cups instead of just a smooth curve top. It makes control I think much better especially during fast movements.

Not only that but there is a texture now to the entire controller, which makes holding it when your hands get sweaty much easier.

I really hope these controllers will work on the next Xbox, because I definitely plan on using this until it dies.

I bought as a replacement and so far it has been Great. I can not comment on the changeable d-pad as I have not found a use for this. The controller holds a great charge and it comes with a empty battery shell if you ever need to use batteries while waiting for the controller to charge. You also get the charge cable and a course a chargeable battery. Definitely worth the $45

What's there to say? Its a new 360 controller, folks. Those are always nice. Especially when you need a new one. I don't use the transforming d-pad at all, but it is a free feature, and free things rock. I like the new sticks, too. They're more grippy. I know that's not a word, but it describes it best. The old controllers just had those little nubs on them. This new one's got grooves on them to really provide good purchase for your thumbs.

I had this on a wishlist for Christmas and although the picture is of a black controller, I got a special edition Grey controller instead. I'm definitely okay with this, especially seeing as how this controller is supposed to be $95. Works great, recharger is great.

Review of Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Game of the Year Edition -Xbox 360

Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Game of the Year Edition -Xbox 360
Customer Ratings: 4.5 stars

This game is the chief selling point for the XBOX 360, and now it's available with the two major expansions included.

If you already own Oblivion (and especially if you've already bought Knights of the Nine and Shivering Isles from XBOX Live), DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM. You will be filled with the righteous fanboy rage you see in the one star reviews below.

But if you're new to the 360, this game is a must have. Even the training mode/introduction is amazing, with Patrick Stewart as the voice of the dying King who sends you on your quest.

Highlights of the game and expansions:

OBLIVION:

+The quest story lines are well written, and the tone of guild and side quests varies and makes for a lot of fun (especially Thieves' and Assassins' Guilds)

+Great voice acting from the likes of Sean Bean (Boromir), Patrick Stewart (Jean-Luc Picard), and Terence Stamp (General Zod/Jorel).

+A more engaging combat system than turn based RPGS, and amazing graphics

+Character customization is more detailed than you could hope for.

+It's a very materialistic game. Looting is great fun, especially at higher levels.

+You get to battle demons in Hell, or whip thieves in caves. There are a lot of varieties of game play.

+The game is absolutely huge.

-You will find the leveling system infuriating about 20 hours into the game. All of your enemies level up with you; so, your best options are to avoid leveling up entirely (which limits your selection of weapons and armor), or to be obsessive about controlled leveling, which takes a lot of the fun out of the game.

-There's no clear sense of "fair play" in the game. You can create a set of chameleon armor that will let you walk through the whole game unnoticed and kill whomever you wish. Once you can do that, how much worse is duplicating items using inventory tricks? You really set your own level of difficulty in how you play, but I find that takes away more than it adds.

-There are really no branching quest lines in the game, and nothing you do affects the story line. Why can't I take control of the Mythic Dawn or Necromancers?

-There aren't really any race or gender specific quests in the game. Why isn't there some sort of elf society in the game that affects the storyline for an elf character?

While I have problems with it (comparing it to KOTOR, as I do all things), I haven't found a better 360 game yet.

KNIGHTS OF THE NINE

+A new guild! They should release more expansions like this.

+You can lower your infamy to 0 by making a pilgrimage.

+If you have a crusader fantasy, this expansion is for you.

+You get some cool items, if you're willing to stay infamy free.

-The quest line is pretty short.

Basically, this is a good early game quest line to take on, but it's not as big as the other guilds.

SHIVERING ISLES

+This takes place in the realm of the demonic prince of madness. Where Oblivion involves lush, realistic landscapes and scary forays into Hell, Shivering Isles has lots of bizarre, beautiful, surreal images. It's a much different design concept, and worth it for a change of pace.

+The quests are especially ingenious.

+The quest line is long enough to make it interesting.

-Despite what you may see advertised, there's still very little in way of branching quest lines. Really, the only things that differ are when you get certain items and what greater powers you have access to.

This is a really great expansion, and can help you build skills early in the game. And you can become the demon prince of madness, so that's cool.

In short, this is the best game for 360, and one of the best RPG's on the market. It does have its limitations and frustrations, but it will give you about 80 more hours of fun than Bioshock (which is also really cool).

These statements are in response to previous qustions and reviews.

This pack was designed for people that can not or do not have broadband service and wanted these two huge add ons for Oblivion. there ARE only the two included here yes. two others were available for FREE from Official Xbox Magazine in early 2007. The horse armor was never given for free and is not available on here. OR of course if you do not already have this game then this is the best option available.

if you already own a copy of oblivion and purchase this, you will then have two full copies of the game. about a year ago when bethesda said they will in time release the downloadable content on disc it was known that it would be on its own disc! some hoped it would be a disc update like halo2s extra maps were, but microsoft did not like the ease of someone buying one copy and just giving it to all of their friends.

that would still be possible with disc two in this set, yea but they made sure you are buying the full game along with the extra content. that was the deal made with microsoft.

disc two WILL install all of the patches that were required to play the additional content. then it will ask you which items you want to install, all, one, or neither.

my main character in oblivion is nearing the 300 hour mark. there is no fear of the game becoming "unplayable". the reviewer "mean critic" makes no good points and gives very little facts.

the game will then be played with disc one (a normal oblivion disc) while the other information is streamed from a hard drive or memory card. that is the way the downloadable content WAS PROGRAMMED to work. the information that is stored on the drive loads very fast compared to when loading from the disc.

if you buy this and already own oblivion, you could trade it in at many video game stores if you dont want to own a second copy.

Best Deals for Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Game of the Year Edition -Xbox 360

I've had Oblivion scince I first got my 360 and loved every minute of it, but I felt left out when the expansions started coming out on Xbox live. I don't have the cables necessary to support XBL at my house so when I saw that Oblivion GOTY edition had hit the shelves, I grabbed it up. I know that at least one other reveiver gave the game a 1 star for its $60 price tag, but keep in mind, Oblivion just went down to $30 while Knights of the Nine is still sitting at about $10 to download, and Shivering Isles is at $24. Total, thats $64 before tax. If you don't have Oblivion yet, or are about to pick it up because you just got a 360, GET THIS VERSION. It has the 2 big expansions, plus an update patch that fixes some of the bugs in the game (like the item multiplication arrow trick). You will still have to go online to get the small stuff like wizard's tower or Vile lair, but they cast about 2 or 3 dollars in MS points. Its a good deal for Oblivion first timers, or anyone without XBL.

Honest reviews on Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Game of the Year Edition -Xbox 360

simply put, this game is amazing. it will consume you. it will own you. i finished the main campaign, and theres still TONS to do. even without the extra content, there are 4 guilds you can join, each with their own massive quest line. with the extra content, you're looking at 200+ hours of gameplay. im about 90 hours in now, and still feel like ive barely scratched the surface. everything is nearly perfect. the world is huge. its filled with many cities and smaller villages. countless caves and dungeons are scattered throughout the land for you to explore.

you could spend 50 hours playing this game and not even touch the main quest. when you emerge from the initial sewer area, the gloves are off. you are free to go anywhere and do anything. the world is simply beautifful, with an amazing view from some spots spanning half the continent.

there are thousands of different non-player-characters. unfortunately they only got a handful of voice actors. Patrick Steward is perfect as the emperor, they couldnt have chosen anyone better.

the graphics, while not on par with the likes of Gears of War, are still fantastic 2 years after its initial release. especially if you take the size into consideration. this is one of the biggest console games ever made, maybe second only to Morrowind. to me, Oblivion is like a slightly streamlined, much more well made version of that.

gameplay is vastly improved from Oblivion. left trigger activates shield, right trigger swings sword. there are countless magicka spells from standard fire balls and summoning monsters to invisibility and nightvision.

honestly, i cant say all that needs to be said in a single review. this is the most epic, beautiful, fully realized role playing game on the console market today. its the best game on the 360, and the plateau set by this game is not likely to be matched any time soon.

Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Game of the Year Edition -Xbox 360

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is an epic, wide-open 'go anywhere, do anything' action Role Playing Game (RPG), and probably one of the best RPG's on the Xbox 360. In the context of open-ended 'go anywhere, do anything' games, Oblivion certainly takes the cake. With a whole continent at your disposal, a plethora of towns, cities, villages, dungeons, caves, and the expansive wilderness and mountains Oblivion is truly a massive world. And the best part is you can explore it all.

In keeping with the 'go anywhere, do anything' mythos, developer Bethesda crafted a totally non-linear game with hundreds of quests, missions and other distrations in additon to a main plot arc. If you so desire you could put off the main story and get lost in the myriad of side quests located in the game; and believe me there are tons of side quests, missions and distractions available to you. As far as the main story arc goes, its your basic generic 'save the world' story. It would have been nice to get a truly original story line, especially since the game is so huge and you can literally do what you wish.

You start off as a basic, generic character and the emphasis on leveling up and honing your skills is very high. Like most action RPG's the more you use a skill the better you get with it, and Oblivion tracks all your stats by the typical RPG means. When you start the game out you get to do quite a bit of character customization including how you want your character to look, what stats you want to start out with, what skills you want to focus on etc. The level of customization is very high. Following the whole 'do anything' theme you can literally create any character you desire, from the epic warrior, the powerful mage, the sneaky thief, assassin, wanderer, knight, the sorcerer etc. There are so many variations on each type that the options are limitless. As such, even if you do choose one class or character type eventually you can learn the traits and skills of every other class, which pretty much destroys any replay value and kind of breaks the realism of the game.

In addition to being able to be any type of character you desire, you can literally do anything you want. If you choose you could wander the world collecting various items and weapons, be a world class thief and see how much loot you can gather, be a traveling merchant, you can be an evil character and kill everything in sight. In addition to being any character you want, you can even choose to be an outlaw (which will happen if you get caught stealing or killing innocent people). If so, you will be constantly hunted by town and city guards and any official in the game. If caught you can either pay a fine, resist arrest or go to jail (where you can literally sit there and live out your sentence or choose to serve your time and get out). This adds to the overall realism of the game world.

Virtually every NPC is killable (save for important quest giving NPCs). There are hundreds of items and weapons to find, some rare and some not so rare. You can wield any weapon you desire, however depending on your current skill with the weapon you may or may not be good with it. This can easily be remedied by either practicing with the weapon or paying of training from the various NPCs that offer the training. The same goes for all the magic stats and skills, of which there are plenty to keep you busy. Alchemy is also an option which offers up plenty of time wasting quests and options. You can spend your time hunting down various ingredients to create potions, spells, enchanted weapons etc. You can create your own recipes for these, or you can search the world and find already created recipes; the choice is yours. There are also various books and bookstores scattered about the world, and from these you can learn the history of the game world and learn some skills, recipes and hidden locations as well.

Scouring the world in search of treausre is very fun, and it can take you to some really interesting places.Everything has a stat and everything has a skill that you can level up. There is literally hours upon hours of things to do in Oblivion.

As most RPG gamers know a good chunk of time is spent interacting with the various townsfolk and non-playable characters (NPCs) scattered about the game world, and Oblivion does not deviate from this formula. You will spend a lot of time talking to NPCs, as they hold much info in regards various aspects of the game. Plus they are usually the ones who hand out the quests and side quests. All of the dialogue is spoken, so you don't have to wade through lengthy pages of text each time you talk to an NPC. There is however one major flaw in the NPCs and enemies that is worth mentioning: Their Artifical Intelligence (AI) is rather shoddy. This is really nothing new since most video games have lame AI, but in an open ended game like this it really stands out, especially since during development Bethesda promised gamers a truly unique experience called 'Radiant AI' which basically meant that every NPC character would have their own lives with their own daily routines and wants/needs. The final product is far from 'radiant' as not all the NPCs have routines and wants/needs, and the ones that do are very repetitive. It was a promise that in my opinion is not possible in the gaming world yet. Also, NPCs will randomly talk to each other as well, however their conversations are usually worthless and very repetitive. Even still it is quite fun interacting with the various NPCs and their interesting personalities. In a change from previous Elder Scrolls games all of the dialogue in the game is spoken by real voice actors, but again this feature falls a little short, as spoken dialogue gets really old, as do the character voices. It seems Bethesda only used 4 or 5 different voice actors for hundreds of NPCs, and it gets really stale to hear the same voice over and over again.

The quests you will embark on in your journey through this amazing world are plentiful, however they all fall under either a 'fetch' quest (go here and get this) or a 'kill' quest (kill x NPC etc). This is a big problem in my opinion as the quests can get very boring and sometimes tedious. Some NPCs will have you going back and forth across the continent just to talk to some other NPC or to gather some item to bring back to them. This is made easy with the 'fast travel' system (any place you been before you can easily teleport to with the click of a button), however this also breaks the immersion factor. Alternatively you can choose to walk everywhere or buy a horse and take the long route (I prefer this way because it allows you to explore at the same time). You are also given a map and a compass with which to aid you in your adventures, however the developers designed them so that they basically 'hold your hand' the whole time. Important places and NPCs are easily found via the compass, which has red and green arrows to mark where you need to go. Coupled with the fast travel things start to get very easy and simple, which can be a good thing or a bad thing depending on how you want to play.

There are a few guilds and factions available to join, from the Thieves guild, the fighters guild, the mages guild and The Dark Brotherhood (assassin guild). This is where the bulk of the quests and missions come from. In keeping with the whole freedom aspect of the game you can join every guild. While this opens up many options for gamers it breaks the replay value since you can join every guild in one playthrough. Also it breaks the realism of the game world since technically you shouldn't be able to join every guild with the same character. I personally would have enjoyed it more if you could only join one or the other. I mean, if you are in the Mages guild or the Fighters guild you shouldn't also be allowed to join the Thieves guild since their core values and goals are diametrically opposed.

In addition to all of this there are also houses and a castle that you can eventually purchase and fully furnish, giving you safe havens to store your items and places to hang out.

Oblivion is a truly next generation game, and the graphics are a testament to that, offering up some of the best looking visuals on the Xbox 360. Oblivion pushes the systems hardware to the limit and the result is some stunning graphics. Trees are wonderfully detailed and rendered, grass and weeds, flowers, rocks, water and wildlife are all wonderfully animated and living.

In keeping true to the 'go anywhere, do anything' theme of the game, anything you can see you can exlore. This includes mountains, caves, forests, towns, villages, cities...everything! You can spend hours just wandering the countryside and climbing the mountains if you so choose, and the amazing graphics will stun you the whole time. Oblivion is a true next generation experience that will please action fans, adventure and RPG fans with over 100 + hours of gaming. And with the two expansion packs available in this 'Game of the Year' edition, the hours of gameplay are extended by at least 20 + more hours or so.

One major fault worth mentioning is that, since the game allows you to do anything you should technically alter and affect the game world, however only certain quests and actions do this. For example, the main story line quests will resonate through the world, which NPCs either commenting on your feats or your failures. However other actions do not. If you rob a store owner blind (and they do not notice) they will never mention it, almost as if it never happened, and they will continue to stock their store as such. This breaks the immersion factor. A store owner should realize that they are constantly being cleaned out, right? Also if you kill NPCs without being caught, no one will miss their presence, which seems a little weird, don't you think?

Another glaring flaw is with the town and city guards. They somehow have this magic ability to hear and see what you are doing even if they are far away from you. In some instances when you are robbing a house or killing someone they will magically know you are doing this, even if they are nowhere in sight! This gets very frustrating, and shows the true flaws in the games' AI.

In Oblivion there are many enemies, wild animals and rogue NPCs that you will eventually have to fight, and the combat is very fun. The controls follow your typical action adventure game: Right Trigger attacks, Left Trigger blocks, Right Bumper is your spells, Y is jump, B opens up your menu etc. All of the combat is in real-time, which further adds to the fun of Oblivion. All of the enemies are scaled to your current level, so as you level up the creatures and enemies get harder, this can be both a good thing and a bad thing.

All in all, Oblivion is a fantastic game that truly shows off some of the next generation of video gamings best features. It offers up hundreds of hours of gameplay and will certainly keep you occupied. Oblivion allows you to live out your fantasies allowing you to do, see and explore everything. There are some faults, but these shouldn't keep you from having a blast.

The Good:

Some of the best graphics ever seen on the Xbox 360

A wide open 'do anything, go anywhere' gameplay

High level of character customization and level grinding

Hours upon hours of quests and gameplay

Virtually unlimited options. Be a hero, be a villain and everything in between.

Many things to do, many things to see, many things to kill.

Some very cool quests at times

The Bad:

Poor AI

The majority of quests are rather simple (kill this, fetch that)

The go anywhere, do anything mythos allows you to do everything in one play through thus killing much of the supposed replay-ability.

Much of your actions do not affect the game world.

NPC dialogue gets really annoying, and the lack of variety in character voices is all too lame.

Review of Star Wars - Episode I - Racer

Star Wars - Episode I - Racer

This fast paced thrill ride is an adventure for young and old alike. It is the most popular Nintento 64 video game in our home. The tournament style races allows a player to race and upgrade oveer twenty different vehicles to race on several race courses on 8 different worlds. The two player mode allows our family to race each other, increasing the bragging rights from intergalactic racing to our own home as to who is the best racer. To instructions are outlined clearly, and the joystick/button controls are logical. This simulation creates a fell like you are flying 3 feet off the ground against other opponents, but also makes the time fly by while you are piloting your pod to victory. Responsiveness of the video simulation is excellent, which makes this game a winner in our home. Try it and you will experience the trill of being an intergalactic pod racer for yourself.

The product is as described. The picture is a little misleading with two controllers shown but only 1 skin available. Don't know that I would have bought 1 skin for $14. My bad for not reading the ad better. The product and shipping were great, but gave it 4 stars only for the misleading picture/advertising.

Review of Skylanders Spyro's Adventure Triple Character Pack (Eruptor, Chop

Skylanders Spyro's Adventure Triple Character Pack
Customer Ratings: 5 stars

I don't play Wii, but when my son was shopping with his birthday money, we saw Skylanders, and I said, "I think you need that!" I thought it was so cool (still do). The Starter Pack gives you 1 Magic, 1 Water, and 1 Tech. Naturally you "need" at least ONE guy from each Element. You can certainly buy characters individually, but it's cheaper to buy the Packs. If you choose two 3-packs carefully, you get 1 guy from each element, plus an extra Magic guy.

If you get THIS (reviewing) 3-pack (Eruptor/ChopChop/Bash) PLUS Skylanders Spyro's Adventure Triple Character Pack (Wrecking Ball, Stealth Elf, Sonic Boom) you cover all the Elements for cheaper than buying them separately. After that, you can add in other characters as your kid likes, but this allows them to unlock all the areas.

I bought the two 3-packs, but opened the packages & re-wrapped each guy separately. My son can "earn" a new (surprise) guy each week by good behavior and cheerful helpfulness. He got Chop Chop yesterday, and was thrilled to add an Undead to his team, after a week of only the 3 original Elements. He has 5 more Saturdays worth of guys (assuming he's nice), then he can select/earn add-on guys on his own. I felt that deferring the collection of characters makes it more anticipatory and stretches out the fun!

This package contains 3 fun additions to any Skylander collection.

Eruptor is a ranged/area effect based Skylander. He throws lava blobs at range and can erupt to cover the area around him in lava for a couple of seconds.

His upgrade paths with either increase the range, power and add an explosion radius to his lava globs or increase the execution speed and power of his eruption and cause it spawn volcanoes.

Chop Chop is a melee based Skylander. He uses a sword to attack and can defend himself and attack with his shield.

He gains a ranged "bone bramble" attack that sends a wave of spiked bones bursting out of the ground in a straight path ahead of him.

His upgrade paths either enhance the power of his sword attacks or adds additional counter attacks after an enemy strikes his shield and allows him to stun enemies.

Bash is a mobile, melee based Skylander. He strikes with his tail and can roll through enemies. He is later able create a pillar of stone in front of him to defend and can strike it with his tail to crush it, using the resulting debis as a ranged projectile.

His Upgrade paths will increase the speed and power of his rolling attack or the power and abilities of his tail strikes.

To start with I'm a old school gamer and like games I can hold in my hands. I know sometime soon games like this will no longer be around. Anyway, this was a great addition to the game Skylanders. At first I thought the game would not be that great but soon found out it was one of the better games I have played in a long time. I love you can switch characters right in the middle of a battle and a bonus you can play your character on any other game system (Xbox 360, PS3, Wii & 3DS) and PC.

The game is expensive if you buy all the Skylanders but you really only need eight characters (one of each element) you can finish the game. So you get three when you buy the game you need to buy five more to finish the game. Most people go a little nuts and buy all the Skylander characters for the kids no matter what it cost. I think it's a little crazy when people pay $50, $100 or $150 for Skylander character when it will be $10 or less a few months later. I have all but Wham-Shell and have not paid more then $10 for any of them. I just waited a month or so until buying them. Skylander Adventurer Packs I didn't pay any more then $20. If people pay $50 for one they are just feeding the market for higher prices. Even Toys-R-Us is jumping on the bandwagon and charging $10 for Skylander characters and $25 for Adventurer Packs. Retail price should be $9 for Skylander characters and $20 for Adventurer Packs. People if you don't buy the Skylander characters and Adventurer Packs at that high prices the stores will think they are going to eat the product and drop the price.

Well I'm getting off my soapbox. Hope this helps someone.

Honest reviews on Skylanders Spyro's Adventure Triple Character Pack (Eruptor, Chop

As others have said beware the price gouge. Prior to Christmas, the individual figures were $7.99 each, and the triple packs were $19.99 each. With the shortage after Christmas, the prices have skyrocketed. Unless you have money to burn I'd wait till the manufacturer gets the availability under control and the prices return to normal.

My son is 4 and Skylanders is his new obsession. This pack was great for him. Why? Because all 3 characters have a very high defense system, so it makes it harder for Skylanders to "need rest", and they have great attack power as well. Also, he had a little trouble controlling Spyro because of the speed. These characters are a little slower for him, allowing him to get a little more used to the controls.

We let him pick out this pack by himself (with a little influence) and he was super excited when it arrived. He wanted to take all three of them to bed with him.

Parent tipIf you don't already know, there are 8 "elements" on the game, each character being of a different element. You need a character of each element to unlock all the portions of the maps. We paired this 3 pack with Skylanders Spyro's Adventure Triple Character Pack (Wrecking Ball, Stealth Elf, Sonic Boom), to go along with the 3 that came with the game. This gave the kids ALL elements with the 9 Skylanders. Not saying you have to get the same 2 packs, but if you miss an element, you kid WILL let you know and you may end up spending more money.

The awesome thing about Skylanders characters is that if you have an Xbox 360 and their friend has a Wii, the characters work on all systems! They can take their Skylanders to a friends house and they can trade or borrow if they want. Just don't buy them one of the expensive ones and let them trade it away.

Also, I say my kids are obsessed (and they are) but I don't let them sit there all day playing. They do alot of physical activity too!

Please be aware that this tool only opens the 360 console. It is NOT a disassembling tool. The hex (Torx) key you are given will not work on the black screws holding the X-clamps down because it is too big. Pick another tool set if you are planning on completely disassembling your console to fix a probable RRoD.

The other complaint that I had was that the aluminum opening tool doesn't it its job so well when you need to stick the 4 and 3 edges into the back of the console to pop it completely off. They are not long enough to reach the clip and so you must push with a lot of force to reach the clips on the back of the console.

It works as advertised, just be careful using it as the edges are sharp enough that I managed to cut my thumb.

My son has not been able to play his Xbox for over a year due to "red light issue". After watching a utube video recommending to purchase this tool to get the game working again. Well low and behold, it really worked. The game system is fully functional. He is ecstatic and loves Amazon. He will be recommending this site to all his friends.

+ Cheaper than Wiimote

+ Better button configuration

+ Lights could be seen as cool if you like unnecessary lighting on your PC case etc.

+ Same size and shape as Wiimote

+ Not boring colored

The lights are piercingly bright

You can hear the vibration as much as feel it

I bought this because I needed another wiimote and this is cheaper than the Nintendo version. The lights on it are crazy bright. Maybe if you were using it in day time that wouldn't be annoying but then why would you need the lights. It has different settings so you can have the lights always on, always off, or light up when it moves a lot, but even the standard light showing which player you are is really bright. If I need another Wiimote (Unlikely as I use Roku for streaming now) I will be buying one of these.

It's 10 dollars less than a normal Wii remote, just as responsive, just as durable, and it LIGHTS UP! Seems like a no-brainer purchase to me. The new placement of the +,-, and home buttons are smart. They are covered by the rubber cover, but really, this wiimote is too cool looking to cover up.

I am completely satisfied and 100% recommend this wii remote.

Best Deals for Afterglow AW.1 Remote for Wii - Blue

Bought this extra remote for my 4 yr old son so we could play together as a family. His favorite color is blue and he absolutely loves it. It certainly looks awesome and plays the same as the normal wii remote on all of the games we have (I tried before giving it to him). It even worked well on some golf games that other third party remotes I tried did not work well with. The quality of the remote is great with no play in the battery cover. It fits all of the accessories I have. I thought that the different placement of the buttons may help my younger children not to hit the home button accidentally but alas they still do it frequently. The batter life is not sifnificantly diminished when I have the lights turn on when he shakes the remote. This setting is easily changed by pressing a button inside the battery compartment. Overall I would buy this remote again.

Honest reviews on Afterglow AW.1 Remote for Wii - Blue

Purchased a pair of these on Black Friday. Great product, works fine with Nintendo Wii! I was a little concerned about buying after market controllers, but these will do the job.

Pros:

-Awesome LED color

-Battery cover/pack are identical to the standard Wii-Motes (not sure about Wii+ remotes with sensor built in).

-On par performance with Nintendo product

-fits regular accessories that work with the Nintendo brand controllers

-LEDs are bright enough for light room and the glow is still visible.

Cons:

-If you play in a dark room, LEDs are bright, but I didn't mind it.

-Matching Nunchuks are not as good as the Afterglow Remote or Nintendo Brand Nunchuk

Overall:

Awesome product, cheaper than Nintendo brand and looks ten times better. Buy regular nunchuk and be happy the remote glows!

We bought this b/c we needed a new remote, and it was cheaper than the regular one and cool looking to boot. It works well, no problems with syncing it to the Wii (the Gamestop owner told me some people had problems w/that-I think he just wanted the extra $10).

Pros:

-easy to sync

-cool looking

-rechargeable battery bought for regular Wii remote works in it

-cheaper than Nintendo brand remote

Cons:

-For some games, like when I have remote turned sideways, the lights are distracting. But I can't remember how to turn off the lights! (threw out the booklet)

-because buttons are in slightly different places, it can be confusing to switch back and forth between remote types

-hard to read buttons when lights are on (writing is in white)
