Not many good reviews of this game, but I don't think the reviews are being fair. OK. This game does have bad moments such as the multiplayer, but I think the single player mode is interesting and fun. For example, they have some mini games in between levels such as throwing the princess at other players to knock them down. Other mini games include catching as many stuntmens from the roof as possible while trying to avoid being hit by falling cows, tables, and chairs. There is some replay value because you need to complete some levels with 5 stars to unlock hidden levels or characters. If you don't believe me, just rent the game and find out for yourself.

As a huge fan of Kung Fu movies and just movies in general I found this game to be very amusing. First off the fighting in the game is solid. It is also great for those button mashers out there when you are playing in Battle game, but when in the ninja challenge it pays to know the combos. The game play is very straight forward and offers a good break from your standard fighting game. The closest game I could compare this too is super smash brothers on the gamecube. The game has a lot of depth and many unlockable modes of game play. The miniseries are great and when you unlock them it adds for some great diversion from ninja challenge. In battle mode you have team challenge or free for all and within those modes there are five different ways to play them.

You must first play through ninja challenge to unlock many of the play modes and battle modes as you earn 3 stars or more you can unlock the next level in ninja challenge. The levels are huge and very fun to play through. Though most people will be able to obtain 3 stars in ninja challenge you don't unlock much unless you obtain a perfect 5 stars on levels. This is a challenge and will put you to the test on most levels (though there are a few that you can easily do 5). The single player mode offers a lot but it is the multiplayer mode that really offers up the most fun. Pick up some friends and start saying "I know kung fu" .... This is especially fun to do if you don't want to listen to the games sound track. The game allows the use of the custom soundtrack feature so you can rip your own soundtrack to this wild and wacky kung fu movie. When you are done kickn' your friends trash sit back and watch a great edit of the scene you just made. These are hillarious and I will say it is one of the first games that make you want to watch the replay. So if you love Kung Fu and great lines like "There you are minding your own business when suddenly, ninja clan attack!" This is for you.

When I first saw article reviews for Kung Fu Chaos, I was almost certain that it was a stupid game. One day, a friend brought along with two others, this title over to my room to play on my xbox. I almost wanted to smack him senseless for such imprudence. However, after playing this game for five minutes with four players, I was hooked! The game moves at lightning fast speed is extremely laughable along with entertaining. Gameplay never seems to slow down, and the game almost never grows boring. Even playing a 1 player game is a blast, given the fact that the computer A.I. is so clever the player will be challenged to their limits. By the way, the custom soundtracks system is excellent!! The game takes full advantage of the custom soundtracks system, so the player never really needs to worry about hearing the same-old boring dull tunes. After borrowing this game, I quickly ran out and grabbed a copy of it for myself! Anyone looking for gameplay debt similar to "Powerstone," needs to look no further. Kung Fu Chaos has come to save the day!! I can hardly wait for the sequel.

Honest reviews on Kung Fu Chaos

I am serious. This game never should have sold. Not because its a bad game; far from it, this game is just about the ultimate ideal in video gaming history. Create your own martial arts flick while playing a video game. Nay good sir, the reason this game should never have sold is because it seems as if it was created specifically for me.

I mean, this is the game that I have been waiting my whole life for. A game where I am more than just a ninja on the screen, I'm an actor/ninja movie star! Okay, that sounds really stupid. And yet its true. And this is more than a ninja game alone. Want to be an aging but still lethal martial arts master? Done. Want to play as a "Lone Wolf and Cub" inspired samurai, also done. Want to play as a deity from Chinese myth, fairy tale and feature film? Equally done. Should you desire to be a gaseous Mexican wrestler, well, that comes later in the game. I was, of course, Ninja Fu Hiya, star of such films as "Did Somebody Order a Ninja," and "Ninja Cry Too."

The point of this game is to create a martial arts masterpiece called, Kung Fu Chaos: Face Full of Fists. You first play through the long movie production in order to unlock characters and sets and such, then you can use these to create your own kung fu films. The problems on set range from members of a clan of bloodthirsty ninjas trying to kill you, to difficulties trying to extend your bathroom/coffee breaks. This is, oddly enough, classified as a "party game."

I say that this game is almost catered to my interests and mine alone (which I know isn't true, but poetic license and all that allows me to continue) because there are many things which will ultimately turn many others off. The controls are overly simple. I found this somewhat refreshing from all the complicated combos out there, but that's me.

Also, the director of the movie you're starring in, a little fat man named Shao Ting, is constantly assaulting you with a barrage of insults. Some people, amazingly enough, find being insulting, um, insulting.

But these aside, this is just about as neat as it gets. I do wish you had a little more control over how your finished movie products look, but this game can be the first step in a new kind of ninja movie making. This is best summed up in the immortal words of Ninja Fu Hiya: "No! Ninja taste bad!"

It's a great group game for those that still play on the original Xbox. There is unlockable content, a championship mode, minigames, and singleplayer. Note that it does not work on the Xbox 360.

When I saw this sequel to Bioshock, I got excited. How were they going to up the ante? How much better would the rendering and animation be in a game released two years after the original? The answer is a reasonable one, but disappointing.

Pro:

+ Consistent with the original Bioshock, and indeed takes place in the same underwater habitat. The atmosphere is amazing, the art and voice acting are both superb

+ You can wield plasmids and normal weapons at the same time, an improvement over the original game mechanics

+ It's fun playing big daddy for a change, and there's a few new creatures

+ The addition of multiplayer is a plus!

+ The story is interesting and engaging

+ The graphics are acceptable for an AAA title of this generation

+ It retains most of the plusses of the original: relatively smooth gameplay, good hints to help you along when needed, etc.

Con:

I wanted more new features, not just refinements! This really does feel like more of the same. It's GOOD more of the same, but not great.

The rendering engine and animation quality feel a bit dated, more than I expected for a 2010 release on the 360.

The multiplayer is a bit rough. After saturating myself in Call of Duty: Black Ops, this pales in comparison in every way. Perhaps that's to be expected, though.

Is it worth buying and playing BioShock 2? As long as you get a good deal on it say half the price of a new title or less, then sure. Expect a good game with more of the same atmosphere, but not a GREAT game.

+ Cheaper than Wiimote

+ Better button configuration

+ Lights could be seen as cool if you like unnecessary lighting on your PC case etc.

+ Same size and shape as Wiimote

+ Not boring colored

The lights are piercingly bright

You can hear the vibration as much as feel it

I bought this because I needed another wiimote and this is cheaper than the Nintendo version. The lights on it are crazy bright. Maybe if you were using it in day time that wouldn't be annoying but then why would you need the lights. It has different settings so you can have the lights always on, always off, or light up when it moves a lot, but even the standard light showing which player you are is really bright. If I need another Wiimote (Unlikely as I use Roku for streaming now) I will be buying one of these.

It's 10 dollars less than a normal Wii remote, just as responsive, just as durable, and it LIGHTS UP! Seems like a no-brainer purchase to me. The new placement of the +,-, and home buttons are smart. They are covered by the rubber cover, but really, this wiimote is too cool looking to cover up.

I am completely satisfied and 100% recommend this wii remote.

Best Deals for Afterglow AW.1 Remote for Wii - Blue

Bought this extra remote for my 4 yr old son so we could play together as a family. His favorite color is blue and he absolutely loves it. It certainly looks awesome and plays the same as the normal wii remote on all of the games we have (I tried before giving it to him). It even worked well on some golf games that other third party remotes I tried did not work well with. The quality of the remote is great with no play in the battery cover. It fits all of the accessories I have. I thought that the different placement of the buttons may help my younger children not to hit the home button accidentally but alas they still do it frequently. The batter life is not sifnificantly diminished when I have the lights turn on when he shakes the remote. This setting is easily changed by pressing a button inside the battery compartment. Overall I would buy this remote again.

Honest reviews on Afterglow AW.1 Remote for Wii - Blue

Purchased a pair of these on Black Friday. Great product, works fine with Nintendo Wii! I was a little concerned about buying after market controllers, but these will do the job.

Pros:

-Awesome LED color

-Battery cover/pack are identical to the standard Wii-Motes (not sure about Wii+ remotes with sensor built in).

-On par performance with Nintendo product

-fits regular accessories that work with the Nintendo brand controllers

-LEDs are bright enough for light room and the glow is still visible.

Cons:

-If you play in a dark room, LEDs are bright, but I didn't mind it.

-Matching Nunchuks are not as good as the Afterglow Remote or Nintendo Brand Nunchuk

Overall:

Awesome product, cheaper than Nintendo brand and looks ten times better. Buy regular nunchuk and be happy the remote glows!

We bought this b/c we needed a new remote, and it was cheaper than the regular one and cool looking to boot. It works well, no problems with syncing it to the Wii (the Gamestop owner told me some people had problems w/that-I think he just wanted the extra $10).

Pros:

-easy to sync

-cool looking

-rechargeable battery bought for regular Wii remote works in it

-cheaper than Nintendo brand remote

Cons:

-For some games, like when I have remote turned sideways, the lights are distracting. But I can't remember how to turn off the lights! (threw out the booklet)

-because buttons are in slightly different places, it can be confusing to switch back and forth between remote types

-hard to read buttons when lights are on (writing is in white)

The game is definitely better than what most people seem to say about the game. If you're someone who never wants to take your finger off the accelerator like a five year old than I understand why the game isn't for you. This game is very realistic and almost too realistic for video gaming. But coming from me, someone who races cars and understands that paying attention to every detail is everything with racing, I'd say the game is great. Heck I paid next to nothing for this game and I'd say its ALMOST as good as the racing game "GRID" which was one of the best ever made. No clue why people bash the game... Solid game for those who want a very close experience with real-life racing.

I bought this game and its okay, however, the one I got which was new, is extremely buggy. It is forever locking up on the loading screens and sometimes it locks and sometimes when loading the screen is just black but you can hear your car revving up to race and everything, just no picture. Also sometimes while drifting, the game will completely stop tallying points and will have to restart to get it going again. The green drive line flickers at times and sometimes dissapears completely. And I do not know what they were thinking but reverse on the cars in this game is AWFUL! It is faster to just reset the car on the track thats how pathetically slow it is. In comparison to other racing games, this one is not one of the most memorable. I would stick with the real "Need for Speed" games.

Honest reviews on Shift 2 - Unleashed (Limited Edition) - XBOX 360

this is a fun game, but it does have some flaws. like the drifting, its pretty much garbage.i love drifting, but i dont even play them on this game. the racing is awesome,it gets intense at some points. but if your looking for a more well rounded game, grid is probably better. but if your looking for some serious racing action, go with this game. they didnt really accomplish much with this game except the helmet cam, i would really like to see that in some other games.all in all not to bad, worth the $20 at gamestop.

Really fun game if you play with friends. If u have xbox ontrollers u can have multiple people on the same computer i think, otherwise ur gunna have to get ur friends to buy the game as well to play with you. PC version has much more content and goes on sale more often but PS3 version offers an easier way for multi-player as u can all play on one TV as long as u have multiple controllers. I really like how they have communication via microphone built in to the game so u dont have to skype with your friends while playing. It also makes it possible to just talk to random people that your in game with to coordinate better. Personally i dont enjoy playing unless im playing with my friends but thats just me. you can download a demo on steam client to see if u like it before you buy it but trust me, its a ton of fun with friends.

I got this last year and still use it. It is made too big for other controllers battery packs, and it will not charge with the Xbox charging cord-thingy. The fourth controller space lights up when you press the sync button (BUT NOT HOLD IT!). It flashes for the amount of times you pressed it. (Say I pressed it to go to setting four, it would flash four times.) It comes with a little slip of paper you shouldn't dare lose, for it says what the numbers are for and on which games. (I lost the paper and only know Black Ops is 5 and Triple Shot for every game is 8.) I would recommend this because it does not overwhelm you with settings and is pretty cool looking with the Red LEDs.

Fun and engaging at first the damn game never changes! The first level is the same as the last with no variety to the type of zombies or the weapons you use. Without variety this game gets old and you probably will not be inspired to finish it.

Fairly straightforward affair, as its very linear. Take about a day or two to finish it, their's no really end level boss its just a stand off (spoiler!). It feeds that part of your brain that whats you to kill zombies, but it don't last long enough and their's virtualy no replay value. Not a bad game just not great.

This was South Peak's last chance with me. After the travesty that was Two Worlds I was skeptical of even this purchase. I will admit the cover caught my attention. While not the best illustration in existence, the concept of playing a scantily clad female wielding two devastating gun blades heavily appeals to me. So, with some reservations, I made my purchase. I figured it was a hack and slash, a very simplistic game concept, so how could South Peak really screw that up. Oh my, let me tell you how!

Pros:

+Beautiful levels

+Scantily clad female with dual wielding gunblades

+Excellent magical abilities

+Awesome combos

+Well developed booklet

+Leveling up mechanic is interesting

Cons:

-PLAYING THROUGH THE GAME TWICE!!!!

-Levels are the size of my room

-Bosses are really easy to beat

-Items are incredibly easy to locate (because there is only one room!)

-Ayumi's in game figure looks weird

-Lame story line

-Bad voice acting

-LEVELS ARE THE SIZE OF MY ROOM!

Details on the above list:

Actually, I'll start off with the good aspects first. The levels look beautiful. The texturing is quite impressive. Aside from some "too bright" lighting on the outdoor levels, I really had no issues with this part of the game. I did like their level up system quite a bit. You basically kill a bunch of creatures and you get soul points then you spend these soul points to get upgrades. The upgrades were really cool. You can get fire burst, ice, earthquake, and lightning magic. You then bind these to a button on the controller and when you get enough rage from hitting your enemies you can execute these special magical attacks. I actually did like this mechanic throughout game play. You can also upgrade your gun blades to get different kinds of firing options. These were pretty decent also. No machine gun option though... would have been cool, but very unrealistic.

One aspect that some people may be divided on is the way you heal. You heal by spending your soul points or hitting green crystals distributed throughout the levels. Maybe being able to essentially heal whenever you want seems like a cop out to some people, but if you run out of souls, you're screwed, so I actually liked this mechanic in the end. Plus the game has a built in element where it gets more expensive every time you use that feature, so I think this balances it out. I opted to save up my points and go for the regeneration feature. Of course you can always double back and replay levels you know you can beat and collect millions of souls to activate all the upgrades before the end of the game, if one is so inclined.

The booklet for this game is incredibly comprehensive. It gives you a full background on what your character is doing there and so forth. It gives you a run down of all the enemies and a few tips on beating them. If you're really getting into trouble there's a strategy guide section that you can read for tips on how to beat certain bosses. It also has all the normal stuff that goes over spells, upgrades and user controls.

All of that sounds like it should be a fun game shouldn't it? Yeah, I thought so too until I actually started playing through this game! Okay, I know I haven't mentioned it yet, you play as a girl named Ayumi. She's supposed to be a treasure hunter; yeah I thought there might be a Tomb Raider influence as well. Anyway this story is outright lame. I know my low rating might not make sense in context of my good review for Onechanbara (which also was recently released and is a hack n' slash). Let me try to explain, they both have fairly stupid story lines. I wasn't expecting anything incredible from X-blades, but I was expecting a little bit more from them. I mean, this company attempted to write an RPG and failed miserably, but I figured they'd try to at least learn from their mistakes. If you read the introduction in the booklet you already get annoyed with Ayumi. We're clearly engaging in a fantastical world and she's complaining about her parents wanting her to be a pharmacist! Seriously, read the booklet if you don't believe me. Luckily none of that makes its way into the game.

Okay, so the story is bad, but the script is even worse. Coupled with terrible voice acting, once again (just like in Two Worlds), makes the cut scenes atrocious. Okay, the voice acting is a little better than two worlds, but any time Ayumi talks it just doesn't feel like the voice actress fits with her. I can't really put my finger on why, but it just doesn't feel right to me. I know it's a minor quibble. But then they introduce Jay, whom you can also read about in the booklet. He's apparently supposed to be some sort of "love interest"? Worst execution of this I have ever come across. There is ZERO character development in this and that's what I had a huge problem with. At least Onechanbara attempts to have character development and they do a better job of it compared to this.

I was expecting Ayumi's figure to be a bit different. They boasted something about the combination of Anime and this video game. They're trying something new and I'm not really docking them harshly for trying out something different (read below to find out why I'm actually giving this a low rating). But I think people should be aware that Ayumi's figure (the one you control) in game and in the animated sequences does not look like something you would normally expect from the average video game. They don't appear to have used the usual rendering techniques on these main character types and her skin texture looks really bizarre to me. It's tough to explain and I don't know what they did on a technical level, just thought other buyers should know that it is not what you'd normally encounter.

Alright, onto what playing the game is actually like. Now, I don't do game reviews unless I successfully beat the game or at least get to the final boss. I beat this game. I suffered through every single level. Here's where X-blades does a face plant in the world of hack n' slash. The levels are incredibly small. Beautiful looking elements, as I said above, but I'm seriously playing on a level the size of my room! Here's how this game works. You enter into a level; it's mostly a gigantic room. Lots of monsters spawn, you kill ALL of them, and then you get a screen that says level complete! Are you kidding me?! This is ALL I have to do. There's nothing to explore, there's no hidden passages. Nothing! You can walk around within the one room and break jars or coffins to get items that give you souls, but that is IT. There is then a door on the opposite side from where you came in and you go through that and you get a stats screen showing your accomplishments. You are then brought into another room to repeat this process over and over again. There are a couple one room levels where you simply have to make it across something like spinning blades, but there are only three levels like that and they're both incredibly lame and very un-puzzle like. I'd rather be in the one room killing hordes... at least I get to do something semi-interesting.

I know, that sounds incredibly boring. At first cutting down tons of monsters is quite a lot of fun. As you encounter new monsters they get put into your bestiary (accessed when you hit start) and if you're having trouble the bestiary will tell you how to beat that monster. The bosses are less than challenging. Consulting the bestiary and learning the exact method to beat them puts their life span at about five minutes. The only one that took me a little while to beat was The Dark in one section, but that's because some wind weapon he used kept blowing me back so I'd have to walk back up and get close again. Other than that they're all incredibly easy to beat.

The small levels are by far NOT the worst part. If that's not bad enough you have to play through this game TWICE. It's the most ridiculous thing I've ever encountered. I know doubling back in some games for a level is one thing, but seriously... an outright replay! You make it to one side of the map you beat The Dark there and THEN you have to go ALL the way back. You go through all the same exact levels again! Sure they have different bosses and slightly tougher enemies, but you still see the same exact level design over and over. What a waste of time! What lazy design!

I still can't believe someone managed to mess up one of the easiest game concepts in existence. I'm seriously giving up on this developer. Maybe someday they will produce a stellar game, but I will no longer be purchasing their items on release day. This was far from a good game and there are far superior games out there. If they could only capture some of the cooler mechanics they had and harness them into a well written game they'd have quite a gem on their hands.

X-Blades was ok. It was semi entertaining for me, and the hack and slash type game play was kinda fun. Im dissapointed in how short the game is, considering for me it was beat in only 7 hours. I would rate it a lil higher would it have been a longer game. Only other complaint i have is it was a little too linear in the game play. Had there been some side story like optional missions or something of the effect that too would have caused me to be more optimistic about the game. Overall it was decent if youre into cheesy humor kind of games

Best Deals for X-Blades - Xbox 360

With the asking price of X-Blades it is now a worth while buy.

So here is the good the combo system is amazing and very free flowing the developers of some of today's games needs to pay this game a visit to learn from it.

The story was weak for it's launch price but with it's drop in price it is now strong.

OK comes the ugly.

The Achievements are over all great with some that has no place because they are almost impossible for the casual gamer.

Graphics are very dated and borderlands comic book styled.

Some times the targeting tends to be a hair clueless but not to the point where it makes the game unplayable.

I recommend a game studio give this game the orange box treatment face lift the game to look more realistic and iron out the targeting some and implement the download content into the game story mode and add a costume editor for fun.

Honest reviews on X-Blades - Xbox 360

This game is slightly broken but playable. It's a clone of devil may cry, tomb raider, and assorted other games. It's incredibly repetitive and pretty boring. The graphics and character design (of the enemies) are actually really well done for what was probably a low budget game (kudos to the developers). I'm not sure why the main (playable) character is wearing a thong while she's treasure hunting though. The gameplay is kind of stiff (and that's not a double entendre); might be a framerate issue or a character animation issue.

However, it is dirt cheap both new and used. It's not exactly a bad game but it's not exactly a good game either. Would I pay 7 bucks new for it? Probably. I paid around 2.50 used disk only and I don't feel ripped off. I've payed more for far worse.

Fairly dull plot with a less than stellar ending (even if you don't buy any of the dark magic to get the 'good' ending). The game play was okay and entertained me for the duration. Could've been a lot better if the cut scenes weren't as cheesy though.

My DVD drive was not recognizing that there was a disk in it until I had opened and closed it numerous times. I checked on X Box live and found my warrenty had expired, however I could send in my X Box and Microsoft would replace the drive for $100. I looked up "X Box 360 DVD Drive" on Amazon and was pleasantly surprised to find drives for as cheap as $29. All the comments suggested that changing the drive was easy after viewing clips on YouTube, I am partial to Toshiba so I ordered one. Once my drive came, I found appropriate clips on YouTube and realized that unless you are replacing the original with the same brand of drive you can't just swap cards (once you watch the clips you'll see what I mean). Several YouTube videos suggested that you can use a different brand of drive if you flash the new drove with the old drives firmware, I ordered a ESata cable and decided to give it a try, I got half way through and my head was swimming, I realized this was way beyond my capability, so I ordered a BenQ drive. I followed the instructions on the youtube videos for opening my XBox and replacing the card and drove and I was back in business.

Several notes: The BenQ drive is the hardest to replace cards on as there are 9 wires sodered to the card, the Toshiba drive was connected with ribbon connections so no wire cutting would be required.

Find and watch the appropriate YouTube videos to determine the type of drive you have and if you feel comfortable performing this work, you might decide you would rather just send in your XBox.

I felt it was an easy change out, but with $29 for the Toshiba drive, $4 for the ESata cable and $41 for the BenQ drive I didn't save that much money, and the time I spent was probably just about as long as it would have taken for Microsoft to get my XBox back to me. Of course if I would have watched the YouTube videos prior to ordering I would have saved time and money. Hopefully my experience will help someone.

*xbox 360 recognizes games as dvd's but will not play them

*After game disc inserted Xbox 360 displays open tray error

*Games take longer than usual to load and sometimes they never load all together

This Ben Q drive will fix all your problems and bring your system back to life like when it was brand new.

This replacement drive must be flashed with dvd key from original xbox 360 dvd drive before it will recognize games correctly. The process of flashing should probably be left up to professional installers but it can be accomplished by average users with the right amount of reading.....The program needed to flash is called jungle flasher,it can be googled. The flashing process is not modding the console to play copies, it is just copying the dvd key over to the new drive from the old dvd drive, so it is safe on xbox live and you probably won't be banned from xbox live 99% sure

Also because of the flashing process this model drive is able to replace any model that you currently have in your 360 ( toshiba, lite on , samsung, benq, and hitachi)

Jesse has a great review of the product so I won't repeat his points. Instead I want to mention that depending on the drive you currently have in your 360 you may be required to do some hardware modification (e.g. soldering) in order to successfully switch to a different drive. If you're not comfortable with that kind of thing I'd check which drive you have in your 360, google for the instructions for Jungle Flasher, and check to see whether or not you'll need to do any hardware mods. If you do, you may want to have a professional swap it out.

Thankfully my drive didn't require any hardware modification and I was able to swap it out (relatively) easily. New drive works great and was well worth the ~$30 to replace my old drive.

Honest reviews on Philips & BenQ VAD6038 DVD Replacement Drive for Xbox 360

I have purchased two different drives from this manufacturer. I have not seen any signs of use on either unit. Unfortunately, both units have went out within 6 months of buying them. I could have bought a brand new unit from the manufacturer for the price I am having to spend on now a third unit, which needless to say, won't be purchased by this company. Beware of the other reviews, and watch what your buying.

I will note, that the drives did in fact, work. They did not last a great deal of time, but they did work. That is the only reason it did not get a 1 star from me.

Bought the drive to fix the annoying "disc read error" on my 360. Ended up just taking the laser out of the new drive, and swapping to my old drive. Works like new again. No more waiting 10 minutes for the laser to finally read, and no more games dropping out in the middle of playing either.

Great fix for a cheap price.

My kids caught the commercial for Tall Tales on Disney Channel, and immediately wanted the game. We've already played for a few hours and are about halfway through the Tall Tales cartoons. It's neat how the game takes you through the story for each of Mater's Tall Tales: Mater the Greater, Rescue Squad Mater, Unidentified Flying Mater, El Materdor, Tokyo Mater, and Monster Truck Mater. The game actually uses Pixar's footage for the story scenes, so you get high quality video of Mater and Lightning McQueen. The developers also put dozens of cutscenes everywhere in the game with the same Pixar quality, so you get plenty of time with all the characters from Cars. As you go through the stories, you play party games based on what's going on with the story at that particular time; really cool!

The games themselves are addicting, because anyone can pick up the controller and play right along. You get a huge mix of racing games, shooting games, flying games, and games that take advantage of the Wii controller's motion feature. So far, I've noticed about 10 different styles of gameplay, and we're only halfway through!

So one of the best features in the game is the car creator. You get to make your own car to use as a character in the minigames. You'll earn coins to buy stuff for you car, like new paint jobs, tires and wheels, decals, and even stuff like hats and glasses! There are 5 or 6 car styles to choose from (I picked the sports car). I'm working towards buying one of those huge car spoilers that you see in the Cars movie; the one that the street racing car has.

My kids and I are having a lot of fun with the game, and I think it's safe to say that any family with kids between 6-12 will have a blast with this game. Obviously, it's very safe for all ages, as there is nothing offensive in the game. It's definitely a "must buy" in my book (plus, I'm a Larry the Cable Guy fan, and the game uses his voice in the both the story cutscenes and during the minigames). Hope this helps your decision to buy this one. Have fun!

My 3 year old son is a huge fan of Mater and the Cars world. We got this game last month and he loves it. It is a short game and we beat every level in just a couple of days but that hasn't stopped him from wanting to play it constantly. My wife and I enjoy the games as well and we enjoy playing the game as a family. The game play is simple enough for a 3 year old to figure out and there are visual instructions before each game showing you how to play. There is a lot of variety in the games offered and once you unlock every level you can make your own play list to just play the mini games you like best. I think it's a perfect game for 3 to 5 year olds. Older kids could get a little bored especially if they are not fans of the characters or the Tall Tales Cars Toons.

At first glance, this game has some very positive features, including a variety of minigames and a fun storyline that adds to the entertainment. The minigames themselves work well as they are quite varied and include activities such as putting out fires by moving the Wii wand back and forth or racing away from authorities that are attempting to apprehend an alien companion. Where this game seems to fall short is on length as even if played casually this game can probably be finished in a few hours. After that, you will find yourself competing in the same minigames, which may be fun if played in a group but may not be very satisfying from a single-player perspective. Additionally, unlike the original Cars game for Wii, there really is a limited focus on true racing, and there is no real open-ended racing where one can select differing characters and tracks in which to compete. Overall, this game might be a good option provided one is looking for a group game that is easy to pick up and play in a group setting but for the price tag I would have hoped for more options.

My son got this for his 4th birthday recently. He is a big Mater Tall Tales fan.

He has just started getting his own games for the wii the last few months.

So far this has been the biggest hit with him, and held his attention the longest.

My 11 year old son spent hours playing this with him too and admitted he enjoyed it along with my 8 year old daughter.

I could hear them giggling together enjoying the "show".

Now I can't see my older 2 wanting to play this over and over but it is a perfect fit so far for my 4 year old.

Mater's Tall Tales is a decent game as long as you don't expect very much from it. The games are either very simple or a bit tedious but overall fairly clean and fun.

So weather or not you like this game boils down to the following.

If you have kids that love the cars movie and the disney shorts that the game is based on then they will most likely love the game. If you are any older than the age of 10 you will most likely become bored with the games within the week.

The game is easy enough for my 4 year old and my seven year old to play and even grandma and grandpa who never play game console handled the game like a champ.

This is definitely not the best party game out there, but for the younger kids it does a nice job and is easy enough that they don;t get frustrated.

Double Trouble is a new US Skylanders character release for 2012 but don't pay over $7.99 retail for it (anything higher outside of Toy's R Us retail $9.99 is a 3rd party inflated price). Also, they have released Double Trouble, Whirlwind and Drill Sargeant (formerly Target and Wal-Mart exclusives through 12/31/11 on the last 2) for those who didn't get those before Thanksgiving .. the retail for the 3 character packs is $19.99 .........most retail stores have no stock of the character packs right now (early January) but they are coming by the end of the month ........

Definitely one of the best skylanders in my point of view. I am a serious video game player, so skylanders is more of a kids game than I'm used to. If you're looking to annihilate other players in Battle mode or cream bosses in seconds this is your guy. His primary attack is a beam that never stops firing and hits continuos 15-20. The beam also locks onto your enemies, and double trouble is able to move while he shoots, so literally he plows through armies in seconds. If that wasn't enough, he also launches clones at the enemy that explode and can be devastating if upgraded enough. Highly worth it, probably my favorite besides voodood and a few others.

Best Deals for Skylanders Spyro's Adventure: Double Trouble

Double Trouble is a fairly weak Skylander. His attacks are ranged but he shoots towards the ground. He summons a miniature version of himself into battle. In late 2012, I'm having trouble finding Magic Elementals besides Spyro and Double Trouble, So I'm adding him to your collection anyway. If there's only one Magic Element in the team, then if Spyro dies, then there's no Magic element secret area gates to pass through.

Update: It looks like if Double Trouble is fully leveled, he has the ability to create clones that attack the enemy, making him a good anti-boss character. He can retreat while using the ability, making him more powerful than the average Skylander at max level. So if you can survive one of the worst Skylanders in the game at level 1-5, you get a better than average Skylander at level 15.

Honest reviews on Skylanders Spyro's Adventure: Double Trouble

Both my boys have been bitten by the Skylander bug, and so I find myself frequenting websites trying to find ones they don;t have at something less than astronomical prices. The game itself is fairly good (the boys certainly enjoy playing), and the figures are good quality, though we have had a couple of arm injuries that required some glue work. I have found that they have unlocked enough XP bonuses that new Skylanders can be leveled VERY quickly, which somewhat diminishes the value of each new figure added. Aside from the cost of each figure, I have little bad to say about the game.

Honest reviews on Spongebob Squarepants: Lights, Camera, Pants! - PC

I didn't like this game very much. It was okay at the begining but I couldn't skip the dialogues at all when I accidentally clicked on the same thing twice. That wasn't too bad, but all you can do in this is look for props and cast members to be in your episode. There's only one episode so it's sort of repetitious and there are no points or rewards for having the right characters in the episode (or so that I know of). Yeah, it's fun at first but I haven't finished it and probably won't since there's nothing new.

Many people playing this game are either (a) new to massively multiplayer online gaming (MMO) or (b) come from either World of Warcraft or Star Wars Galaxies. Thus, there is a lot of room for expectations to become let downs. I'd like to take a moment and explain exactly what SWTOR is, at this point in its evolution.

MMO titles go through many iterations. The most difficult time for an MMO is almost always at launch. When Warcraft launched, it included 60 levels and two raids (MC + Onyxia had been created for launch but not enabled, wowiki more or less agrees). The equipment didn't look exciting and the world was quite small compared with its size today. Before purchasing SWTOR, it is important to realize that the title is at this point in its evolution.

These games go through many iterations. Part of the reason we pay a monthly subscription fee is because the game never stops being developed. Our monthly dues ensure that many of the features that didn't make it into the launch are developed later. Bioware has focused exclusively on core game play features, steadfastly refusing to be distracted that the fluff that will allow for a lush universe a couple of years from now. As a result, the game can tend to feel stripped down to its most basic elements if you are used to a seven year old game like WoW. If the bare-bones feeling of a new virtual world is a deal breaker for you, then seriously consider waiting until December 2012 before purchasing this game.

Many impressions around the internet include flaws from beta. These should be taken with a grain of salt. There were several different beta groups and all were testing different versions of the game's features in order to determine what would work best at launch. The danger of a large scale beta is that many players will nit pick at it as though they are seeing a final product after nine months of post-launch support. SWTOR has often been judged in this harsh light.

When you enter the game world for the first time, you will find out whether or not your computer needs an upgrade. The lowest system spec I have comfortably played this game on is an E6750 (Core 2 Duo 2.66) with a modern video card (nVidia 550TI). Anything beneath this line is going to feel jerky. Please be aware of this before purchasing the game as it will severely impact your experience if the camera movements are not smooth.

One of the most questioned features of SWTOR is also one of the favorites at launch. Between the musical score and the voice acting, this game captures a level of emotion that has not been accomplished in past online worlds. The first time I played through the Sith Inquisitor class during beta, I tried make dark side decisions for their own sake, knowing that some gear required greater devotion to the dark path. On the third planet, this caused me to have to kill an arrogant young Sith apprentice, whose father I was working for, and all I got in return was a common (green item type) lightsaber. The man was furious in his pain, his voice acting was beautifully done. By that decision, my dark alignment moved to 2 and the Sith corruption on my character's face turned his sunken eyes a deep bruised purplish black. Surprisingly, I had a strong emotional reaction to this. I began to make light side choices when the most horrible dark side choices were presented and as a result started to play a far more rational Sith force user. It was as though I had actually hit a turning point in my character's development where he moved from being a bitter former slave towards being a future leader.

On the flip side, the Jedi experience is cannon to a point of feeling like a Norman Rockwell painting. Without making an occasional dark decision, the player is faced with a character who does the right thing no matter the cost and no matter who is hurt. The Jedi are blind religious justice when played as lightside for lightside. These nuances were not something I expected to find and to be honest, they were not something I particularly recognized until I had played through several of the character classes. As an aside, playing the Imperial Agent as lightside is very much a James Bond experience.

Your first or second time through, it will be easy to criticize what you think is a plot on rails. Keep going and you'll find there are subtle gradations that really change the feel of the game depending on how you play and you may regret that some decisions cannot be taken back without starting over again. This is a good thing.

From a pure mechanics standpoint, the game is similar to Warcraft. Blizzard really wrote the book on how a game should operate. Many players have been upset that they were able to sit down and feel immediately at home in SWTOR. To them, I would point out that on the rare occasion in my life when I have driven a Ferrari or a Lamborghini I have not been disappointed that the car still had a steering wheel and a gas pedal. The point of building a supercar is not to create an alien experience but, rather, to heighten all that makes the driving experience so exhilarating. SWTOR has taken the best of Warcraft's mechanics and super-powered them. There are subtle differences, especially in the crafting and companion systems, but the game is truly a collection of seven years worth of homage to Blizzard. It doesn't significantly diverge until around level 30. If you feel that this is a bad thing then perhaps this is not the game for you.

Many people have worried that boss mechanics would be ho-hum and as a result the game would plateau after level 50, losing subscribers back to Warcraft, as has happened to a great many titles. Were we talking about boss mechanics four months ago, I would have been inclined to agree. My guildmates from Warcraft are very accomplished raiders though and even they had to own up to the fact the last boss on the second major Flashpoint (Bringing Down the Hammer) was a surprisingly tough fight. They declined to repeat the Flashpoint in hard mode, instead electing to move on with the game content, because they realized they were not yet ready to take the content up a notch based on their gear to level ratio. If the boss design can sustain that level of increasing complexity up through endgame operations then this title will have a truly special raiding component.

Yes, there are bugs. Some of the bugs during early access have been frustrating because we squashed them two months ago in beta but they have returned (un-clickable mining nodes come to mind). Others are based on newer systems that were refined just in time for launch. Sometimes, at the right camera angle, all of the walls disappear leaving only the background image for the planet. Is it frustrating? If you are used to XBox type launches, yeah. Is it game breaking? No, not for an MMO. This is all par for the course.

All in all, Bioware has created a worthy heir to the throne of World of Warcraft. The game is young and it lacks the complexity of a mature title but it has lots of positive momentum in the right direction. If you love the Star Wars universe and enjoy MMO gaming then there is absolutely no reason not to pick up this title right now. If, however, you are someone who needs a bug free, mature, later stage title to be fulfilled then you should wait a while before buying Star Wars: The Old Republic.

[12/21 Update: 12/20 brought severe sever queues with new players exercising their first month free. This is a situation that will stabilize by 2/1 but it *will* degrade your retail experience. Bioware seems to have increased realm caps to deal with the situation, however, it will likely repeat itself with holiday accounts signing in for the first time four days from now]

[12/24 Update: Sever queues have been well under control, however, the 25th is coming. More on that in a bit. I wanted to add the following to my review:

Space is really a mini game and as such it falls outside of the MMO experience. Most recently, Star Trek tried to fully develop a space + ground MMO. The dev teams were clearly split and neither one created a particularly good experience. Like Star Wars Galaxies before it, I suspect Bioware will focus on space in a couple of years when the ground game is fully developed.

Until then, think of Space as a mini-game that is good for picking up XP and credits between planets. You'll enjoy it more that way. If you try to think of space as a part of the MMO experience, you will be sorely disappointed.

Finally, if you have not played past level 30, do not assume you are fit to judge the game. The first 10 levels are spent learning the interface. The next 20 are spent learning your advanced class. 30-40 is spent learning the advanced stats and 40-50 is spent honing your rotation.

First off, I would say a 3.5/5 is more accurate, or a 7/10.

I will try to be as subjectively objective as I can. This is no Asheron's Call, Ultima Online, or Shadowbane. It is as much a theme park game as every other "AAA" MMO to come out in recent years. It looms as a shadow over other titles, such as Age of Conan or Star Trek Online. It is supremely better than anything modern except for the one dated title that everyone likes to compare it to... I won't even bother saying it because we all know which one. Does it share elements to this grossly successful "other" title? Of course it does. Just like "it" did, The Old Republic has copied elements from what worked in other, successful MMO titles. Is it a clone or a copy? I would have to say maybe, but it is something new and refreshing in many other ways. It is a theme park MMO... and that type of MMO hasn't changed much since Everquest (except to remove that pesky sandbox, which many of us still lament). Is it the be-all, end-all MMO... of course not. It has many flaws to rival it's merits.

Here's my quick breakdown:

The Good:

1. Voice Acting is Sufficient. You won't hear anything as well-done as the Mass Effect series, but it is adequate... and in places, pretty good. It does have some good people, and that's where it shines. Nolan North is in it quite a bit, which alone means there's some good voice acting. The diversity and acting quality of a lot of the rest, however, is merely "adequate".

2. Stories are Adequate. The story lines in this game won't compete with a half-decent novel, but they are as entertaining as your run-of-the-mill prime time show.

3. Group Questing is Actually Entertaining. I have always hated being in a group for questing in any other MMO. It's a penalty, curbing reward possibilities and just making everything take longer. The conversation and dialogue with NPC's makes grouping with a friend much more enjoyable.

4. Instancing is at least Well-Done. I hate instancing... with a passion. Something ought to be said, though, about the way it was done to be less immersion breaking here. Walking through a glimmering force field into a private instance with NO load screen is a step forward, to be sure. Note: this only refers to private/group instancing WITHIN a zone. See #3 below for more elaboration.

5. Art Quality is Good. Sure, the graphics aren't top-notch (see "The Bad"), but the environments are often beautiful nonetheless. You don't need Arkham City graphics to be pretty (Arkham City was beautifully ugly), and ToR shines here. Worlds like Taris and Nar Shadda offer stark changes in artwork that is easy to appreciate.

The Bad:

1. Character Creation is Severely Lacking for a Modern MMO. In the days of character models such as those in any Cryptic game, Aion, or even EvE's new generator, the customization in SW: ToR's character creation system is pretty much a joke. The mesh/textures on character models are also very "flat".

2. Engine is Poorly Optimized. There are many posts on the forums about bad FPS. Personally, I run an AMD x4 Phenom II Quad-Core 3.2ghz, 6gb Corsair RAM, and a GTX 580 (GTS250 for Physx, which doesn't apply here)... and I'm lucky to average 30fps on max settings (ironically the same average as people with far lesser systems). Considering the lack of technically advanced graphics, something is amiss here.

3. The first several worlds are very "corridor-ish". The worlds don't seem very big, there is little exploration at the onset of the game. You are funneled from point A to point B to completed objective H. They claimed an epic and huge feel to the game, but I'm afraid to say that I'm just not feeling it... at least not yet. Instancing might be well done WITHIN a zone, but the rest of the time I am still reminded that I'm going from one arena to the next. The fact that each zone exists as instanced copies also limits the big MMO feel. Many people act as apologists for developers, stating that they don't like waiting for mobs to spawn because people are camping. My opinion is this: the devs ought to create more than one or two mobs to avoid this, not 20 instanced copies of the entire map. MMO's used to be gigantic because they had to be, now they are tiny and save development money by just putting people in separate copies of the same zone. Some people might love small over-instanced maps, and more power to them. I don't.

4. It doesn't feel "alive" the way an MMO should. The only critters in the world are occasional HUGE monsters that are too busy grazing to attack. This seems like laziness, to me. NPC's and Enemy Mobs are always standing in one spot, doing the same thing over and over. The rare exception is a world boss that walks in a small circle. Everything just seems so... static.

5. Sometimes combat does seem clunky, sometime it doesn't. Most of the time I have fun with it, and I suspect a lot of people's issues stem from timing issues with abilities that can be corrected at some point. Still, fluid and responsive combat is a must in any modern MMO... and it's enough of a problem that I think it merits stating.

These are just my highlights. There are other issues I have, such as it not being sandbox (they always said it wouldn't be, so this was expected), and lack of immersion things like being able to sit in chairs or sit on the ground without looking constipated. I also found that the advertised flashpoint (Black Talon/Esseles) seems to be the only one that is as interactive and conversational, but I've only done the first four. Hammer Station and Athiss, the next two, are just your run-of-the-mill dungeon crawls. I found this rather disappointing as BT/Esseles are the most fun I've had in a "dungeon" in a very, very long time. Space combat is also underwhelming, and they have said they plan on doing something big with it later on... which is fine. None of the issues in this section are really enough to affect my rating for the game at launch, however I still thought I would add them for sake of full disclosure if you're on the fence about purchasing.

Despite the flaws, there are many good qualities here... so don't let the zero's, one's, and two's on metacritic dissuade you from trying the game. At the end of the day, I have fun when I log on... for now. I'm quite certain, having been in the beta since early on, that I will get my money's worth before I stop having fun. Give it a try. At the very least, it is a good base from which Bioware will, hopefully, build a worthy and successful MMO title that will last years.

Update 1/24/12: The patch that went live last night seems to have alleviated a good deal of my negative issue #5. That is, combat clunkiness. The issues were apparently something to do with input lag or ability timing. From what I garner from the official forums, which are tentative at best, this isn't a universal solution... but for most customers it seems to be much better (myself included).

Issue #2 regarding engine optimization also seems to have been alleviated somewhat for me. I did some NVidia tweaking and got much better results. However, with the belated inclusion of AA... many users are experiencing stark FPS drops (even with AA turned off). Shadows remain a tenuous affair, at best... and don't look very good to boot. Either way, I'm now averaging around 50-55fps with VSync on, with obviously higher results with VSync off. It is quite playable/enjoyable for me.

Final Update 3/22/12: After hitting max level and getting all the PvP gear I could want, and poking around with some of the PvE content and alt leveling, I lost my drive to log in. I just didn't look forward to it anymore... most of the negative things I've commented on here have taken their toll, and the positives are just not enough to keep me here. The game feels too narrow, too empty, too lifeless, and too simplistic. As a result, I have cancelled my subscription as of this date. Best of luck to those of you sticking around for longer. I am aware of the big upcoming patch, but even if it delivers on its promises... it still doesn't change the fundamental design issues that I do not enjoy. I might come back eventually, but I have no further plans to update this review if I do. I hope it stays something enjoyable for the rest of you for a long time to come!

Should you get the game? Let me ask you a series of questions:

Are you a big Star Wars fan? If yes, go ahead and get it. It's a good Star Wars game.

Are you new to the MMORPG genre? If yes, go ahead and get it. It's a good MMORPG.

Did you play some other MMORPG, enjoyed it, and mostly just thought, "I wish this game could be exactly like it is now, except with more wookies"? If yes, go ahead and get it. It's got wookies.

Did you quit your last MMORPG because you got tired of the gameplay? If yes, then you might give this game a pass, because it's really just more of the same, recast as Star Wars.

This is a good game. If you answered "yes" to any of my first three questions, don't even read the rest of this review. Just put it in your cart and click on to the ordering screen because I think you'll be pleased with it. If you answered "yes" to my final question, then read on and I'll explain why you might give this game a pass.

It's hard for me to not be a bit bitter about it because it's the same game I have been playing for roughly 10 years, with a few minor tweaks. (Where are the innovations?) That is, if you've played Warhammer, Rift, World of Warcraft, Everquest, etc, then you are already very familiar with what SWTOR is going to be like. There is very little truly new to the genre here. A bit more story based? Sure. A couple neat things with crafting and the "companion" system? Yeah. But basically you are playing the same game as that last MMORPG you played, whatever it was, except this time it's got more lightsabers in it. MMORPGs have been stuck in this rut for a long time. If you're new to the genre, hey, jump right in! It's a good rut, really. If you've been in it for 10 years like me, then don't expect SWTOR to jump the rut in any way. There are no big innovations here:

You know how it goes. See dude. Talk to dude. Get quest. Go kill everything. Go talk to the dude again. Get reward. Go talk to next dude. The world is linear. The world is not dynamic. You cannot impact the world (at least not for more than about 60 seconds). The decisions you make are very fleeting and don't really matter in any sort of big scheme. It's set in a time of conflict but there's no real "war" to fight in, per se, because, as is always the case in MMORPGs, we enter the game when the war has just been called off (WOW, Rift) or just before it has gotten started (LOTRO, SWTOR). So yes, there's some fighting, but you're not going to have to fight for or against the Empire as they try to take over a planet in real-time because this is not a wargame -it's a standard, linear, computer RPG.

So it's good, really, it's just same-old-same-old. They did some neat things with crafting -you won't find yourself slaving over a hot forge all day making hammers. The "companion" system basically gives everyone their own NPC "pet" that follows them around and adds to the conversations as well as providing some tactical interest. The quests are good. Everything is a voice-over and done pretty well. You get to chat it up with some options that have some immediate impact and you can pick "light side" or "dark side". So yeah, there are some neat things in this game.

But it's still fundamentally the same as the last MMORPG you played, whatever that was. If you liked that, you'll like this. If you were sick of that, then you're just getting more of the same here.

Honest reviews on Star Wars: The Old Republic - PC

If you liked Knights of the Old Republic just stop reading these reviews and order this game. Even if you were never all that into MMOs, this game will at the very least give you at least 400 hours of play time as you play through the story lines for every character type and do nothing else.

Questing Every MMO since the day of UO has struggled with how to make the player feel important and have an impact on the world with thousands of players sharing that same world. SWTOR pulls it off by having instanced parts of the world that only you and your companion are able to enter, these instances may be a whole dungeon or just a room, but the events there are specific to your storyline which does have branches. Your decisions have lasting impacts, you will get mail from NPCs with credits or just follow ups on the fallout from your actions. The final outcome of your particular story line will also depend on the decisions you have made and no, it's not a simple light side vs dark side ending based on alignment. Speaking of alignment, it's not all black and white and in many ways playing a "light side" empire character makes sense. (SPOILERS: The Dark Side choices when playing the empire in general have you serving the Sith or just being unnecessarily cruel, while the light side may have you serve the actual "Empire" and it's people. There is distinction between what is good for the Sith and what is good for the Empire. In the Republic, the politicians are horribly corrupt and self serving, you can either embrace that or try to fight it. There are a lot more gray areas in the Republic choices overall end justifies the means sort of stuff.)

Grouping Admittedly, your personal unique quest will only take up about 20% of your game time. Most of your quests will be shared by other classes as well this is actually a good thing. For example, you start on Hutta as an Imperial Agent and your friend starts as a Bounty Hunter you will have radically different personal quests but they will steer you towards the same area just with different purposes. So you will be able to group together for 80% of the quests and go to the same areas, just not be able to enter each others personal quest areas. The attention to detail for the common quests is as high as for your personal ones. The voice acting is fantastic, the quests are grouped appropriately and even in the rush of the head start there is little difficulty in getting to your objectives. Finally, if you are playing as a light side character in a group of dark side characters, the decisions you make have no impact on your own alignment. For example, if given the option to save or kill someone, all group members pick a response and do a dice roll, who ever wins gets to speak and execute the action, but the choice you made is what impacts your alignment even if the other option won out.

PvP I will admit that PvP in this game is clearly not the main focus at this time. It's there, but it's not perfect yet. There is also some imbalance between the empire/republic therms of population count right now at least that's what appears to be happening as I've been doing the mixed faction HuttBall pvp instances more than empire vs republic instances. This will probably balance out by release and doesn't matter much anyway as HuttBall is pretty good times. PvP in terms of class balance is decent but most tanking classes start out very weak early on. Finally, there is nearly no distinction between a PVP and PVE server open world pvp doesn't exist till very much near the end game and the planets are fairly segregated.

Crafting Crafting has been relegated from being a time and money sink to just being a money sink. You do not personally craft the item. Your companions do. In addition they will use crafting components from your inventory as well as your ship bank. This means that you can be crafting while questing, pvping etc. Once you get two companions, there is no reason to not have one of them crafting at all times. The system is well designed but the long term financial viability of some skills is still debatable as the economy at retail will be very different from beta.

Itemization You are able to modify certain items to change their stats in entirely. IE on a gun all the damage is determined by the barrel which you can swap out the barrel itself has a level requirement and that is passed on to the item. Thus you can stick to the same items for the rest of the game. Oddly it is often more expensive to buy upgrades for an existing modifiable item than it is to buy a whole new unmodifiable one. This will probably change once the economy stabilizes, but right now modifying your gear is wasteful. Quests will often reward you with a choice of an item or tokens which then can be used at a vendor to purchase higher quality gear, as such you don't usually get stuck with quest rewards that you end up selling right away.

I can't think of much else to say the game is running fine on my QX6600 with 2 GTX8800 in SLI(this is an OLD PC) as well as on a 2 year old Asus G51-A1. I have not had a single crash in the last beta build or in the release client. It's still not happy about alt tabbing (slow to tab back), but that's the only issue I have with the release client. Lag is minimal and I'm on a "heavy" load server.

I bought this game a year ago, it was fun but I really didn't like paying monthly subscription because was busy with school. So saw no purpose for wasting money. Anyways now the game is FREE-TO-PLAY. I can continue where I left off. NOTE this is my first MMO game. It has a good story, and you can create multiple characters and play their story lines. Its great they decided to go F2P. They even are giving out rewards to those who payed monthly to compensate. Check out their website though because theres a deadline to receive your goods. All you have to do is relogon in game.
