There is no question that Mario Kart is soon set to celebrate its 20th anniversary as one of the most acclaimed video game series for the Nintendo games. It has just been a non-stop fast & furious ride for Mario, Bowser and his friends from each angle. It has been on every system since the Super NES, and it hasn't seen the plumber and his friends and foes hit the brakes into the warp pipe even once. Still, there have been so many racing games that have tries to copy it and haven't succedded, or those who have been inspired by Mario and his friends race. Well whatever the case, Mario and his friends kept on evolving in the Mairo Kart games and they have never lost their luster. Now with the high-octane and mushroom speed, it is at it again for the Nintendo 3DS, and truthfully it is worth each and every race.

Mario Kart 7 really brings in the big guns for the Nintendo 3DS, where some of the other Nintendo 3DS games, have missed their mark with the launch of the system. Hard to believe it is the 7th racing game for Mario and his friends, and this time around it has continued to evolve well by bringing in a swift mix of the new and the old. Just like Mario Kart DS and MarioKart Wii, gamers will race 32 tracks that are both new and from Mario Kart's past. The game definitely looks amazing with some new wrinkles into the game, as you have new racers and new courses too like racing in the new Music Park, where hopping on each note and insturment will help you cross the finish line, Shy Guy Bazaar, where it is a Middle Eastern flavor available, as you and your fellow racers try and cross the starting gate, while trying to glide from rooftops, and classics as well like Luigi Raceway from Mario Kart 64 and the speed and mall-madness of the Coconut Mall from Mario Kart Wii.

Aside from the mix of old and new tracks as well, there are new racers that are here to challenge Mario, Yoshi and friends including Lakitu the cloud-dwelling and spiny tossing foe, Metal Mario (as a celebration to help celebrate the 15th anniversary of Super Mario 64,) Shy Guy and Wiggler to name a few. They bring a lot of new blood into the game, as well as new elements like customizing your karts with tires and gliders which will make you soar your way back to the asphault.You also can race underwater too, which will help you find shortcuts in the game, especially in redesigned courses like Koopa Trooopa Beach and new Cheep Cheep Lagoon. There are also a few new items in the game too including the fireball power-up, the tanooki tail which will help you swat passing racers, and the new Lucky 7 that is a seven-way mix of weapons like the shells both red and green, a blooper to ink foes, banana peel and and a star for invinciblity.

The graphics in the game look amazing, as you score your way to the finish, as well as collect coins while on course to help yopu unveil extras to help customize your karts. The control is strong as well, in the classic mode, but there is one small hiccup with the new first person perspective. While the concept is good, in that mode you can race with others using the gyro sensor from the 3DS and steer your kart by swaying your racer back and forth, like the Wii Wheel was in Mario Kart Wii. That can take a bit to get used to for new racers, but for veterans they can also choose to play in the classic way as well. The sound is strong as well, by bringing in the classic scores and musical elements of the distinctive classic courses like Mushroom Gorge, but overall it is the gameplay that is fun in both single play and especially multiplayer too. The multiplayer adds extras with the Streetpass, and online gameplay like Mario Kart Wii showed, as you and 7 other racers try to race your way to the finish line.

Overall, despite one small flaw, Mario Kart 7 is definitely a fast and furious game from start to finish, and it still is just as great for many gamers more than meets the eye. If you have enjoyed the chase that Mario Kart has brought before than you'll definitely love this Nintendo 3DS game. I definitely love this thrilling racer and it shows that some game franchises have never gotten old, they just have gotten better with age. It is definitely a must buy for your Nintendo 3DS that is sure to be a treat that many racers haven't been able to show for over 2 decades across the finish line. I absolutely recommend Mario Kart 7 from start to finish.

Here's another must-own for the 3DS, plus it's my most played on the handheld. Just like how I got Super Mario 3D Land, I got Mario Kart 7 the day it came out. If you love Mario Kart or if you're new to the series, this game is especially a must!

Just like the other Mario Kart games since Mario Kart DS, you can play this game on your own, with nearby people provided that they have 3DS's, or play online. I dig the fact that you can be able to customize your kart, as well as the ability to glide and drive underwater! I would also like to thank Nintendo for getting rid of the thunder cloud that plagued Mario Kart Wii, that thing was just really annoying... you also won't be able to see any fake power-up blocks either, yay! Instead, you'll see new power-ups which are the fire flower, the raccoon tail, and the lucky 7 (I only use that to use the star lol). But still, be prepared to get attacked by those too, that includes blue spiny shells, bullet bills, and bloopers! And each time you get a lot of coins, you'll be able to unlock kart parts. You will also be able to unlock hidden characters, as well as a 3-star rank when you do awesome in the grand prix mode.

The best part of Mario Kart 7 is the game's online mode. You are able to play in worldwide matches much like in Mario Kart Wii, but with an improved VR system that doesn't decrease by a lot for no reason! The only way to lose your VR is when you get last place, and you only lose 3 VR when that happens, which isn't much at all that is much more fair than Mario Kart Wii's online! You are also able to race in communities and find people/friends you previously raced. There is also the Mario Kart Channel where it updates the time trial ghosts and the community list. The game also keeps track of your wins, losses, coins collected, etc. Plus you'll still be able to unlock remaining kart parts while you collect coins in the online mode too!

The only cons I have are the mii's voices, no actual way to ban whichever items you want while you make a community, not having the ability to create your own messages when you're in a community, and Toadette not being in the roster (I miss her!!!). Overall, the game is definitely chaotic, but you'll keep coming back for more action. Right next to Mario Kart Double Dash, this is my favorite entry in the Mario Kart series. Go get it right now!

Every time Nintendo releases a new game you can always bet on them bringing over their core franchises. The one that seems to ruffle the most feathers and delight the most is always Mario Kart. The gameplay is often fun, simple and it's easy for just about anyone to pick up. It's also a series that has what can be considered a tried and true formula. Mario Kart has retained its familiar formula for two decades now and it's not going to stop here. If you've liked Mario Kart previously there's no reason not to really give the game a try.

As you'd expect, Mario Kart 7 is pretty easy to slip into. There are 32 courses in total and at least 16 of them are retro courses drawn from other Mario Kart releases. Most of them are pretty well designed, and those who love the older courses will be pleased to find some of the classics here. Some of them have changes to compliment some of Mario Kart 7's new mechanics. Each race has eight racers. There are also a ton of items to find and use as you race.

If there's one thing Mario Kart has always been criticized for and praised for it's the different assortment of items. Some familiar items that have been in Mario Kart forever return such as the mushrooms, stars and bananas. Some of the more recent items return as well such as the bullet bill. There are three new power ups to behold in Mario Kart 7. The first is the fire flower which will let your hurl fireballs at your opponents for a certain amount of time. There is also the Tanooki Leaf that gives you the Tanooki Tail to whack your enemies and finally there's the Lucky 7 which gives you seven power ups at once that you can use. Of the three new items the Lucky 7 is the most amusing of the batch. The fire flower seems as though it should've been a part of Mario Kart all along. The Tanooki Tail, however, is by far the least amusing of the new items here.

There is some degree of luck when it comes to winning, but there's more of a feeling that you're in control than the Wii variation where you could easily be bombarded with several items at once just seconds before the finish line. Here, that isn't likely to happen. You'll still find yourself hit by an item, but you won't find yourself bombarded too often in such a short period of time. The balancing here is better to the point that there is still a little luck, but your skill is actually important here as well.

There has been a lot made about the new addition to the vehicles. The glider and the propeller. One allows you to fly while the other allows you to traverse the water. For the most part, these additions don't really add much to the experience. It's amusing the first couple of times you do them, but you'll feel much more at home with your wheels planted firmly on the ground. They're not entirely useless. Gliding can, for example, give you an edge in some races. It's going underwater that more or less feels no different from being on the surface. So while they're certainly welcome additions, it doesn't really do a whole lot to enhance the experience.

You'll more or less experience much of what Mario Kart 7 has to offer within a couple of hours. Certainly there are 32 courses but you'll breeze through all of them rather quickly. You'll also unlock drivers and a mirror mode and different parts to your Kart. If anything the multiplayer is what is more likely to keep you coming back to Mario Kart 7. You can play locally with friends or online and both actually work out just fine. You can also get into coin battles and the balloon battles, which is pretty standard for Mario Kart now (and also much more fun with friends). There's also a Mario Kart channel just like there is for the Wii.

Visually, Mario Kart 7 is by far the best looking game the 3DS has at this point. There's a lot of detail put into it and it just looks smooth. The 3D also works out rather well, but chances are you won't actually need it to enjoy the game. It really gives players a sense of what's around the corner for the 3DS.

The only thing that really keeps Mario Kart 7 down is that it really isn't any different from the previous Mario Kart. Things have been slightly reworked and tweaked but there isn't much offered here that other Mario Kart games aren't already going to provide for you. The new courses are great but usually that's all you get. Aside from that, the experience of Mario Kart 7 isn't really all that different from the previous ones. It's not necessarily a bad thing. It means those who've loved Mario Kart don't have much reason not to try it. It makes for a decent game, but it sometimes walks a fine line between improving the series and becoming stale. Regardless, the game is still good on its own and worth a look.

I bought this game today from a local retailer. at the time of writing, I've played for about 4 hours.

The game is very good, but it could have been better.

It is a Mario Kart game and it delivers as expected. If you're a fan of the series or just a 3DS owner, then this is a must-own title.

First the bad:

I was really excited for a 1st person "cockpit" view. I tried it, but it isn't good. This could have been good, but unfortunately the problem here has more to do with the 3DS itself. With the game in 3D mode, it isn't practical to tilt the 3DS to steer, unless you turn your head with the 3DS. You'll get a sore neck or just look stupid doing it. For anyone with experience with the 3DS knows that tilting the display ruins the 3DS affect, at least until you can readjust your eyes.

Next is the analog steering controls. I do not feel "locked in" while using this control. The analog control feels somewhat detached from the Kart's steering. Overtime a person will get used to it. That's all I can really say. Steering is not possible with the D-Pad, which is unfortunate. I would have liked to have had a choice, especially considered how bad the analog steering feels.

Historically, Mario Kart games have always been bigger and have included more content than their predecessors. Mario Kart 7 does away with at least 8 characters who were in Mario Kart Wii. There are fewer drivers to choose from in this game.

The good:

Despite the fact the there are fewer drivers to choose from in this game, the Nintendo makes up for it by adding some new features. There is a lot more variety in the form of kart options. As you progress, you unlock various mods for your kart. Some mods include different body styles for your kart, tire options, and wing options (for gliding). All mods do affect overall performance of the kart.

New powerups!-there are 3. The feather grants you Raccoon Mario's tail, used to whip opponents or incoming projectiles. The flower that allows you to shoot fireballs. Lucky 7 which surrounds you with 7 different powered (similar to the triple shells), all of which can be used. The Lucky 7 powerup is by far the rarest. In 4 hours of playtime, I received the Lucky 7 just once.

Where I'm neutral:

I saw the trailers for this game and I was really excited to see the new gliding and underwater features. While they look "new and innovative" in terms of gameplay, the reality is they're a bit underwhelming. Driving underwater feels exactly like driving on the road. The difference: in one mode your kart has a propeller on the back of it.

Gliding is fun, and there are some skills to learn to have an advantage on the track-for example, using the glider to create shortcuts to leap several positions in the race.

The Verdict:

I'm giving this game a 4 instead of 5 because it isn't as perfect or polished as MArio Kart titles have been in the past. There should have been the same amount of content or more content as in the previous installment. The game is almost unplayable using "tilt" controls while in 3D mode. New features like underwater mode didn't feel innovative.

Good graphics with slightly annoying character noises, but a fresh and fun choice of what to put on your cart. The game is constantly throwing new stages at you, making it easy to try out new tech niches. A nice game overall!!

remained as one of the top classic game of all time.The arcade

version was fast and furious,which why i give only 4 star to the playastation 1 ,The PS1 version is terribly slow in both visually and physicly.Still,capcom doesn't make games like this

anymore.Get this game while you can,because this title is

becoming rare just like X-MEN VS. STREET FIGHTER.Retail stores

like Gamestop and EB games rarely have them in stock.Even if they

I Like this game a lot although the character selection of only 10 fighters (Cyclops, Wolverine, Psylocke, Iceman, Colossus, Storm, Spiral, Silver Samurai, Omega Red and A sleek version of a Sentinel to boot) is small. This is the first of a seemingly endless array of sequels for the Playstaton and Dreamcast systems. Nicely done graphics, music gets a little too heroic at times but the gameplay itself is almost flawless!! If you're a Street Fighter and X-Men fan, this game is a must!!! Note: To younger kids, this game is pretty difficult even on easy for someone less than 15...

Best Deals for X-Men: Children of the Atom - PlayStation

Capcom's X-Men: Children of the Atom is essentially Street Fighter with Wolverine and co. instead of Ryu and the bunch. During it's time in arcades, X-Men was tried but true 2-D fighting greatness with excellent graphics, addictive gameplay, and an actually innovative fighting system. The first home system the game was released for was Sega's ill-fated 32 bit Saturn system. The game translated much better on that system than it does on the PS1, as this conversion is loaded with sloppy animation glitches, plenty of slowdown, long loading times, and some painful controls. Because the PS1 is a 32-bit system, it simply doesn't have the power to generate the fast paced action of the arcade version. This game, and plenty of other Capcom 2-D fighters (including X-Men VS Street Fighter, Marvel VS Capcom, etc.) never did translate well to Sony's first money making video game system (funny how many of them fared better on the Saturn), and only when the more powerful systems that would be released later would Capcom's 2-D fighting games be anywhere as good as they were in arcades. If you're an X-Men fan, this may be worth a look, but the Marvel VS Capcom games that were released for the Dreamcast and current systems like the PS2 and XBox are much more worth your time.

I have my own copy of this old yet very fun game. I love this game, the only character in there I play as is Akuma from "Super Street Fighter 2 turbo" and he seems to have all his moves from the Street Fighter game he has his dual air fireballs, "In the Street Fighter game if you're playing as Akuma you only can throw one air-fireball at one time only, of course in this game he has both of Ryu's and Kens super combos now at his disposal. I only play this game as Akuma and no one else. He is my all time favourite character in this great game. I absolutely love this game, "X-Men: Children of the Atom" the graphics are not that great but you can still have alot of fun with this great game. Playing the game as Akuma is like I said the best part of the game, doing the code for him is very simple and very easy to remember. Unfortunately you cannot save your scores in it like most games, but like I said it is still a fun and great game. I just might play it as soon as I am done writting this review on this great and wonderful game.

I don't use the MOD portion of this controller, but I do enjoy personalized gaming devices. This is by far the coolest controller I have seen. It is flawless in its design and the black accents make for a unique piece of gaming art work. The MODS should work, I have never tried them though. I will purchase more of these in the future! Thanks for the great work guys/gals! ... User beware, the controller seems to open a gate to oblivion if you hit all the buttons at once.

Best Borderlands Double Game Add-On Pack: The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned Deals

This is a very fun add-on to Borderlands: you need Borderlands and a hard drive to benefit from this expansion. It's really 2 things, the Moxxi Underdome and the zombie island. I love the zombie stuff: fun, fun, fun. I like the zombie expansion better than Left 4 Dead or Resident Evil. A variety of new enemies and environments: you start in a "bayou" area that is just good old-fashioned horrifying fun: zombies popping out of the muck and trying to eat your brains. The new missions in Moxxi's Underdome are ok so far, nothing great. The real plus of the Underdome area is a bank that lets you stash items rather than make the tough choice to sell some of those things you like but don't have space to carry.

This expansion comes in two parts: The underdome and Dr. Ned's Zombie Island.

Both are very fun, and quite challenging. They require new techniques apart from the normal campaign. For example, on the Zombie Island, corrosive weapons are nearly useless against the zombies while explosvie are among the most effective.

The Zombie Island add-on is well worth playing, and can add another 10-12 hours of gameplay onto the original game. There are new enemies and challenges that you do not get in the original game. The XP gained and weapons collected in these missions carry over to the main game. The integration is pretty seamless in that regard.

The underdome is a slightly more frustrating add on, but it is a fun way to play with friends and re-play bosses and enemies you have played in the original campaign. There are different strengths and weaknesses given to you in every round in the different domes, and creative challenges put in place against your enemies. Very fun, but it can be very frustrating. You can keep the weapons that spawn for you (sometimes eridian weapons), but you gain no XP just for playing. I havent been able to beat a single dome yet after many attempts.

Overall, this is a 4-star recommended add-on with plenty of worthy content to make a great game even better!

I absolutely LOVED the original Borderlands one of the best games of last year in my opinion. Great shooter action, tons of different weapons, excellent humor!! The add-on pack totally delivered a "post game fix"!!! The add-on was HUGE and almost like a whole new game! The only other xbox 360 "add-on" I'd done before was for Fallout 3, and I was SO happy with it AND Borderlands.

I love the zombie island of Dr. Ned! It is such a blast! I can compare it to zombies on call of duty except it's not rounds of zombies coming at you in the same place. There are a few missions to do and things to find and experience to gain! Mad Moxxi's underdome riot is extremely hard. It says in the mission log that it is a level 15 mission but I beg to differ. My husband and I tried it at level 20 something and we got our butts handed to us on the second round of the second room. We haven't played it since that and we are level 35 now, we plan to try again tonight. It is fun and it will be something we play a lot when we get to be a much higher level with our characters.

Cheap XB360 BIOSHOCK 2 CDN

When I saw this sequel to Bioshock, I got excited. How were they going to up the ante? How much better would the rendering and animation be in a game released two years after the original? The answer is a reasonable one, but disappointing.

Pro:

+ Consistent with the original Bioshock, and indeed takes place in the same underwater habitat. The atmosphere is amazing, the art and voice acting are both superb

+ You can wield plasmids and normal weapons at the same time, an improvement over the original game mechanics

+ It's fun playing big daddy for a change, and there's a few new creatures

+ The addition of multiplayer is a plus!

+ The story is interesting and engaging

+ The graphics are acceptable for an AAA title of this generation

+ It retains most of the plusses of the original: relatively smooth gameplay, good hints to help you along when needed, etc.

Con:

I wanted more new features, not just refinements! This really does feel like more of the same. It's GOOD more of the same, but not great.

The rendering engine and animation quality feel a bit dated, more than I expected for a 2010 release on the 360.

The multiplayer is a bit rough. After saturating myself in Call of Duty: Black Ops, this pales in comparison in every way. Perhaps that's to be expected, though.

Is it worth buying and playing BioShock 2? As long as you get a good deal on it say half the price of a new title or less, then sure. Expect a good game with more of the same atmosphere, but not a GREAT game.

to start off, the game picks off with tony montana at the mansion right before the gun fight that ended the first movie, the game makes tony montana come back to life by having him live past the gun fight.

you get an assortment of missions between buying drugs,meeting women,and driving trucks away from rivals.

the game has a sweet mode that you can get into when your balls meter is full.

when in a car you can aim your guns out of your car and shoot at people.

scarface is the most explosive action game ever.

if grand theft auto is a 9mm bullet, scarface is a rocket.

some missions you can enter places and shoot the hell out of it until the area is cleared and the game is explosive beginning to end.

This is a great game that is meant for MA only. It is interesting, because it startes off where the movie ended (sort of). The game starts on the part of the movie where people are sent to kill Tony. However, instead of him dying, he actually makes it out alive and has to start rebuilding his empire from scratch. The game is similar to the GTA games but BETTER--there is a lot more foul language and a great amount of killing and bloodshed. If you love these type of games then you'll LOVE this game, especially if you loved the movie. You won't be sorry.

I bought the game yesterday for my just turned 3 year old. I was going to play through it once and have her watch so she would get how to play it, but she wanted to take over right away. It was pretty easy for her to understand. All directions are spoken so knowing how to read isn't a requirement. I think an older child would get bored with this game. I also think it was a bit overpriced for all that it does, but my daughter loves Lalaloopsy and loves her new game. The dolls do have a recommended age being 4-6 years old, so it does make sense that the game is also aimed for a younger child to play, even though so many older girls love them, too.

The whole purpose of this game is for your child to obtain a charm from each friend in lalaloopsy land to complete a charm bracelet. This game is mostly a preschool math concepts game with some letter recognition and spelling (very little reading). It features a number of games that require matching, color recognition, patterns, spatial reasoning skills, shapes, spelling names by ordering letters on a bracelet and following visual and auditory directions. It requires a bit of cognitive ability on the child's part. They will be given a visual example of something to copy or do and they need to do it exactly as suggested. So if they are to decorate a pillow, they need to do it exactly as they see it in the picture given to them to copy. While its really important that the game requires they match exactly, I had hoped that after it was over this lack of creativity thing would disappear and the kids could create on their own and that didn't happen. I will say this though when they play the mini games, if they make mistakes and don't follow directions it is a forgiving game. They can still progress they just won't get as much credit. The worst they will hear is, "oh no" from a Lalaloopsy friend which is the signal something was done incorrectly. Auditory directions could have been a little more detailed with some of the games. Its visual, auditory and reading. That means a child can do the tasks if they can hear..and not read as well. Or they can read what to do, or see what needs to be done. There is the spelling that will be harder for a younger child. The graphics are cute and the concepts are good, we just found it to be too repetitive and boring after a while. A really young child will need some help initially to do some of these tasks, yet an older child may find this game too easy. I think it would have been better had there been more of an adventure involved in this one. It was played in 3 days, not sure how long it would take a child under 6 to complete it. The pros are it does teach math heavily, some spelling/letter recognition but not much of that. Its adorable and the auditory directions make it easier for younger kids. However the cons are that younger kids will need some help with understanding what to do to complete their bracelet properly and how to do some of the games. Its not a parent free game for 5 and under at all. Its very repetitve and there isn't much to do other than the same stuff. The game never switches gears and adds new elements other than adding new features to each mini game of which the max is 3 features anyway..and it limits creativity if you want full credit for mini games but that isn't a requirement to finish a mini game which is a nice feature. I hope they come up with something for the older kids thats more of an adventure. This is cute and has its place for sure. We are glad we got it. We are just picky gamers.

My 6 year old daughter loves this game. She has a bunch of the Loopsy dolls and I think that they are junk, but the game at least seems to be fun. She's been playing it for a few hours at a clip since getting it for Christmas. The older Lalaloopsy fan is going to get bored quick...

It's hard to judge games aimed strictly at children with other titles. These are often very simple and would bore most adults to death. That's the case with Lalaloopsy for the Nintendo DS. The main meat of the game is introducing the Lalaloopsies to one another, improving your friendships by gifting things to them which you create. Each Lalaloopsy's house makes something different, so you have to go to Mitten's house to make mittens, etc. As a side quest, you can find their missing pets and play a simple pet sim mini game. It's all very simple, and while there's plenty of text to read, it's not necessary as the game also explains in pictures and through voice instruction, so even very young children can play it.

They did a nice job with the Lalaloopsy property... all the characters look as they should, have their correct houses and pets. This may not be a big deal for some, but those kind of details are very important to kids who love the Lalaloopsy Sew Sweet world. It's bright, colorful and very accurate.

After you have increased your friendship stats, chatted with your friends, made a stack of cookies and ballet slippers and cared for all the pets, there's not a great deal left to do, which makes this a short but sweet game. Younger children will enjoy replaying it over and over again (3-6), but older girls like Lalaloopsies too and there's not much here for them to tackle. Both of my daughters insisted that it deserved "100 stars"... and it is true that it is well put together, but if you are looking for something with a little more "game" to it, this is not the title for you. As a relaxing friendship making series of on screen tapping craft projects... it works just fine.

Bought this for our daughter who loves Lalaloopsy and is about to turn four.

Her eyes lit up when she opened this and immediately went to play.

We tried to assist her with the first part, but being independent, wanted to do it on her own.

She does a decent job with it, but can become frustrated when she needs to complete something to move on. The game gives good directions at the beginning of each activity, but no much after you get started.

I am sure with a little more time and experience with the game she will be absorbed during car rides with it.

My only complaint, albeit may been a unrealistic expectation on my part, is she was not able to just sit down and play without getting "lost" in what was supposed to done.

If things change, I will come back and update this review.

I love college basketball, and I was exited to see another March Madness game. This year March Madness seriously takes after it's NBA Live brother, it feels very similar to NBA live with the college atmosphere to boot. Cheerleaders, fight songs, chants... But although I felt like I was playing NBA live to a point, with the announcing of Dick Vitale, some college plays to pick and a little different control setup, it does feel fresh enough to warrant a purchase, especially if you love college basketball. The players faces and likeness are pretty accurate and decent looking overall, not exact mind you, and although because of college rules, you can't use college names, but thankfully you can put them in yourself and the announcers will call their names out when you do which adds to the authenticity. Some nice create a player features are fun and college bookstore lets you buy accessories, including headbands, jerseys, socks, arm and wristbands and tons of Nike Shoes. They added old school teams with classic players --which is really nice, but they still don't have their names, so you don't have a clue who these players are. This game also offers a new mode called "college classics" you can relive classic b'ball games from the past, it's somewhat reminiscent of their NCAA Football game, only this time it's basketball. Can you change history?

All in all, I liked this game, if you're familiar with NBA live at all, you should be able to get into this game quite easily. The computer is very challenging especially when you play on a harder difficulty and play a tougher team. Highly recommended. If you want to save money though and you like Sega's game, check out ESPN College Basketball, both games are great but Sega's game is only $19.99.

I was expecting a lot more out of this game. Even after writing to EA Sports, informing them what they needed to do to make this game better, the game still lacks what it could be, or should I say what their competitor does just right?

March Madness 2005 has somewhat improved from 2004, but it still has ways to go (time for a new game engine, don't you think?). First of all, I like the new play-calling screens, that can easily be opened and operated; and I like the new time out feature as well. The Pontiac classic game challenge is very fun, too! The front menu screens are much better and readable, and the Dynasty mode is better than last year's with a neat calendar and PDA system.

But overall, the game has got to be a major disappointment for die-hard basketball fans. One thing this year is that the game player cannot export their draft classes into NBA Live. The game play is comparable to NBA Live 2005, with has better spacing, rebounding, and tip-ins. The player models are better as well, but not a significant change from MM 2004. As far as comparing this to ESPN'S College sim, which sells for just $20, there is no comparison. ESPN has much better game play and a more intuitive player-editing system than EA's. But if there is one complaint I have this year for both NBA Live and March Madness, it is the awful camera views. When you are playing a game you are either too far away or too close. And for some reason, the game does not recognize your previous setting of camera views, so you have to go back and change it. If EA would stop trying to add so much as the kitchen sink to a game and instead try to really improve the basics, it would really shine.

Until then, ESPN'S game is the way to go this season!

Right after the tournament this year I was desperate for a college basketball game. I got this one and was not disappointed but wasn't blown away either. The coaching mode leaves much to be desired. How about letting us start off as an assistant for crying out loud!! But the recruiting is okay and the gameplay is pretty good. On the hardest level on a good team's floor you can lose and will always have a hard time for example at Cameron indoor arena.

If you want a college basketball game then it's a good buy but if you're just looking for a good game in general then there are certainly better ones out there.

For the same reason when you buy an NCAA jersey, it doesn't have a name on the back...

The NCAA can't directly market a single player. Yes, the networks can, ala ESPN showing a little JJ Reddick picture before a Duke/UNC game. Or CBS showing Marvin Williams taking an alley-oop from Raymond Felton for the Final Four.

However, they can't pay these athletes so they can't directly market them. That's one reason why it's damn near impossible to see a college star marketing anything that isn't the NCAA and academics.

It's why Andrew Bogut or Reggie Bush can't do Wheaties commercials.

It's also the reason anyone on a 2K5 of EA Sports college sporting game-over has either graduated or in the NBA from the next year. (I know NCAA 2K has rights with the Heisman winner. As EA once did. Last year's Naismith winner, Jamar Nelson of St. Joe's, is absent from either of this year's games that feature Okafor (EA) and Childress (2K5) on their respective covers).

However, if Emeka Okafor had stayed in school, it's very likely Ben Gordon (or another NBA-player, ala Tony Allen, would've been on the cover.

Imagine the same scenario with TJ Ford replacing Carmelo Anthony on 2004.

Most know this...but many others don't. So that is your answer. It's not to be lame or lazy, it's simply the fact that NCAA can only use player numbers and their likeness (within reason of course) during their games. I imagine any potential recruits are forgotten as well for same laws/reasons.

It seems dumb, but that's the NCAA for you.

Making billions for universities, networks, and themselves...and not letting the players have anything at all.

I bought this at game stop for about $100. I knew it wasn't going to blow any one away or anything but I thought it would be better than standard noise comming through through the TV. Here is my problem...s... One after I had it hooked uop for about a week the Sub started smoking!!!! I quickly turned off the surround sound and unplugged it and took it apart to see why. I never figured out why everything looked fine so I put it back togather that hasn't happened since??? 2 weak sub it rattles a little bit even before I took it apart. you can't ajust the speaker volume speaker settings. 3 the remote is small and worthless. Every type of remote you have for you tv to your stero to wireless game controllers cross talks to the reciver randomly changing the volume of the surround sound!!!! 4 the blue lights are almost blinding in the dark I had to put a pice of tape over them just to watch movies and play games in the dark 5 you can't change speaker wires since there built into the speakers 6 short rear speaker wires and short front speaker wire also 7 you can't hardly hear the center speaker on 5.1 surround 8 every speaker plugs in to the sub... that being said it is a cheap surround system the front and rear speakers do work well to put out noise the sub and center chanel just suck but if you turn it up to about mid volume it sounds ok ( thats another thing that sucks there is no numbers or any indicator as to how loud the thing is on the remote is a volume up and a volume down and when you press it the center chanel wich has the volume control buttons just flashes blue when your turning it up or down)

About time I got these cables. Sure, I have a PS3 and enjoy my current gen gaming experience, but sometimes I like to bust out some Halo 2 action with my friends. Xbox was meh on my Samsung LCD, but was a vast improvement with these cables over the S-Video I was using. Yes, I know why.

No problems whatsoever.

Just make sure you enable the different resolutions in the Xbox settings and that the game can support HD output ( I forgot to do this, but forced myself to believe that everything was clearer even though it wasn't, but when I finally turned it on, my mind was blown.)

Some people have had trouble with other xbox component cables, but this one works great! Some people have had trouble fitting it in the a/v slot, but this one fit easily. The picture is awesome, you just gotta change to hd settings in the settings of the xbox itself and you're good to go!

The Transformers video game for XBox 360 that was released with the first film was designed by Travelers Tails (company best known for Lego Starwars, Lego Batman, etc...). That game had many flaws in terms of control, overall simplicity, etc... It was a typical run-of-the-mil movie tie in game given little effort to work out the kinks or provide players with any depth of play.

This title is the first fruit from Activison's exclusive deal with Hasbro to bring TF console and PC games to market (there will be more time come and not all movie tie-ins either). While this game isn't perfect, it's a big leap forward in many areas. I'm written this review for those who've played the previous game, here's a short-list of what they've improved/fixed.

1. Melee combat is now challenging and viable. You can charge attacks, pull of combos, etc...

2. The targeting system is hugely improved. With primary and secondary weapons.

3. Once a Transformer has been unlocked (after using that Transformer in a mission) then that Transformer can be selected for any following mission (in other words, players aren't locked into playing a specific transformer for certain missions).

3. Each character has a unique ability (e.g. Rachet can heal, Bumblebee can stun).

4. Players earn points and can spend them on upgrades!

5. Vastly improved enemy AI (e.g. they transform and run evade when damaged then come back in).

6. On-line head to head multiplayer with different forms of combat (when you combine this with the improved melee and specialty abilities, it's quite nice)

I've only gotten about 1/4 of the way done with it, but it's almost as if Activision went down the list of players complaints and tried to make exactly the type of game we wanted. It's still a movie tie-in game in that you're playing out the movie, but it's done right.

Not sure what else I would add here. I suppose allowing two or more players to team up in the missions would be something to consider adding in the the next game, but overall this is quite nice. Kudos to the dev team!

I won't waste too much time repeating what others have said, so I'll keep it short. The game is certainly solid and fun. Being able to transform anytime and actually incorporate it into your attacks is a beautiful touch. The only bad thing is that when transformed into vehicle form, you MUST move, and don't have the ability to just sit there at a stop.

The game is pretty repetitive, the missions are basically the same--drive to this spot and fight a bunch of opposing transformers, mission over. But its fun for a few hours and is certainly worth the rental price.

There are multiple reasons why this game is better than the first. Firstly the game is more focused on gun combat than melee combat, secondly you can transform in mid-air using a new unique control, and thirdly new characters for each campaign and a variety of characters as well. Your enemy robots don't have their force field up everytime you fire your gun weapon unlike the first game, which spices up the destruction! This game is challenging and an AWESOME game to play!

Being able to play as a giant transforming robot, whether good or evil, is one of the many childhood fantasies many kids, and nerds, have had. Now you can play as the Autobots and Decepticons in "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen." The game is loosely based off of the movie but it takes you through a number of missions that aren't in the movie itself. Whether you're an Autobot or a Decepticon, you end up fighting some familiar Transformers on the other team. Some of the missions include: destroying the other team's army and protecting and/or leading the way for allies. It's straightforward, but it's so much fun if you're into Transformers or playing as over-sized characters.

The replay value in this game is a bit better than the first Transformers game. Sure you can still play as both Autobots and Decepticons, but the plethora of missions, unlockables, and achievements make this game one that you can keep coming back to. Not to mention there's a really fun online mode that was absent in the first game.

The controls are redone this time around and are better to handle. There is a slight learning curve if you were used to the controls on the first Transformers game, but it won't take you long; even if you're a novice to these games.

"Revenge of the Fallen" is probably the most fun I've had with a movie tie-in video game. Most video games, based directly off the films, are pretty bare bones and have little, to no, replay value. Not to mention some of them just aren't fun and the controls can be pretty shoddy (Jaws Unleashed anyone?). There are a lot of neat unlockables to be had here, including some G1 episodes. The collection of Autobot and Decepticon icons in each playable area can help you unlock gobs of achievements if you're into increasing your gamerscore.

In conclusion, it's a really fun game that will give you hours of game time. If you're into Transformers, or any sort of giant playable characters roaming around a cityscape, this game is for you. I recommend checking it out.

This is waaaaayyy different from the previous Transformer game and also much better. Controls takes some getting used to, but thats what the training is for & once you have them down pack, you will have a good time with this one.

Not a whole lot to talk about on this product. It's a 16' USB cable, which works as-advertised.

I've used this both for extending wired keyboards with high-power requirements (e.g. Logitech G510's) as well as have one permanently installed in cable channel running up to the Kinect. Works great for both uses.

The problems other reviewers are seeing with "incompatibility" with Xbox Kinect systems, is that this will ONLY work for the standalone Kinect model. The standalone kit comes with both a USB cord which connects to your Xbox (you will be extending this part w/ this cable), as well as a power injector. When you buy a bundled system, the power injector does not come with it and the cable will be different. Something to keep in mind! If you've bought your Kinect separately from your XBox, you should be good to go. Otherwise, look elsewhere or buy the Kinect power cable separately for use with this item

I have all of the main Skylanders from each game (with the exception of a few super rare variants), and I can say that this is in the top 3 of my all time favorites, and probably tied with "Sunburn" for best of the "Firelanders".

Looks: Smolderdash looks a little dull at first in her package, but the lightcore version really adds some cool aesthetics when placed on the PoP. In game, she has a soft glow at normal, and when she powers up she looks like a blazing fire. The almost "silhouette" look of the character is bold and really stands out in the collection. Her main weapon is a firewhip which is well animated. Gotta love the hairdo!

Abilities: Smolderdash takes some getting used to at first, but once powered up has the potential to deal some major damage. At first, she seems a bit unarmored and vulnerable. She is a mid-range brawler type and has a slow projectile, so ranged attacks must be well planned and aimed. She isn't the fastest on her feet. But later she gets an ability to "jump like a dragoon" and land like a meteor dealing massive area damage, gets some upgraded armor, and gets upgraded speed. She also gets an ability to "whip" one of her projectiles and create a fire barrier that damages enemies on contact, and her ultimate attack is a flame dashing attack that deals major damage.

Value: Although the only version you can get now is the $12-$14 lightcore version, I still feel that for the money this is a worth while purchase. In fact, due to the limited amount of color on the actual model, the lightcore version really adds something for this particular Skylander. Most of the lightcore Skylanders are really only worth getting for the serious collectors, or if it is one of your favorites; but if you are going to get any of the lightcore variants, this is the one to get.

She looks great as a figure, you set her on the portal and her eyes and fire hair glow red. In the game she's even more awesome, she powers up by catching on fire wihich then makes all of her other attacks more devastaing (whip attack, firey explosions etc.). She has short downtime after powering up, where she then "Smolders", in which the flame dims and smoke rolls off her dark figure, very cool. Makes my top 10 list of skylanders past and presesnt.

My son received the Lightcore Grim Creeper for a birthday present. He loves it but the only thing that was a disappointment was that this particular one is not swappable. The top and bottom don't come apart so you can't swap them with other swap force characters. I did not realize that some of the characters in the swap force series are just one solid piece. I assumed that since it was under the "swap-force" name, all the characters would be swappable. I found out later that only some of the characters are swappable. They really need to specify in the description which ones are and aren't swappable.
