Man, I was so happy they came out with a NHRA game for PS2. It blows the IHRA games away. I enjoyed every aspect of this game! The best thing is how easy it was to figure how to play and have a chance at winning a race. That was the biggest flaw in the first IHRA game they came out with. Even though they have quite a few generic cars at least they have alot real drivers with their real cars> I recommend if your a drag racing fan and have a PS2 in your family, you should buy it, because it will give hours of enjoyment.

It's difficult to believe that over 10 years have passed since Ico was first released, alongside other 2001 classics like Metal Gear Solid 2 and Final Fantasy X. Unlike those two games, Ico fared poorly in the sales charts, despite its incredible graphics, great story and gameplay.

However, this was not the end, as 4 years later, the second game by "Team Ico", Shadow of the Colossus (SotC), was strongly promoted and achieved much better sales figures.

Now, Sony has breathed a second life into these games, thanks to this hi-def PS3 re-release.

Both games have been significantly enhanced in this PS3 remastery by Bluepoint Games (who also remastered the God of War Collection and the upcoming Metal Gear Solid 2 & 3 games), with the most important changes being:

As a previous owner of the X45 flight control system and avid flight sim junkie, I was compelled to upgrade my HOTAS system to something newer. I was originally looking at the Thrustmaster HOTAS system, but could not conjur up enough money to purchase one. After playing with the X52 at a LAN party, I was sold and went out and purchased one that night.

The X52 has loads of improvements over the X45 not even mentioning the LCD MFD. One addition which I would have loved to see in the X45 are the eight removable suction cups on the bottom of the stick and throttle bases. The cups first out of the box will do some sliding around, but nothing so drastic that it'll mess your flights up. They do a great enough job to keep the stick down during normal use provided that you don't slam the stick around, but for a flight system that costs this much, I don't think that'll be too much of a problem for most people.

Just like all other Saitek sticks, the X52 is fully customizable in both hardware and software. Not only can you move the lower shelf on the joystick up and down to fit your hand, but you can also adjust the force on the throttle stick. Like all other Saitek sticks, however, you cannot adjust the centering force on the stick itself. But I did not find this to be too much of a problem as it is much looser than all other HOTAS systems that I have owned. The X52 also comes with the Saitek SST programming software, which (again, like all other Saitek sticks) allows you to program every button on the joystick to either an axis, mouse axis, single keyboard stroke, or a complex macro.

I also fell in love with the three modes and color coded mode identification LED to let you know what mode you are in. As a result I can have a mode for A-A, one for A-G, and one mode for general tasks when playing Falcon 4.0: Allied Force, making it easier to keep my hands on the flight system at all times.

The MFD is also a cool addition to the X52. It has a time display to let you know what time it is in up to three time zones, as well as a built-in stopwatch to time your flights and coordinate your turns right on time. And if you can't remember what you programmed a button to just simply hold down the info button and click the button you want to know about and voila! Your button's function is displayed on the screen.

All in all a great HOTAS system for those of us that cannot afford the Thrustmaster HOTAS systems. This flight stick runs perfectly with games like Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 and Falcon 4.0 my two choices and recommendations to pair up with this stick.

And for those of you who want to know about Windows XP Professional x64 support the stick works perfectly using drivers available on the Saitek website.

I probably spend more time than I should with flight sims, mainly IL2-sturmovik but also FS2004 and lomac, and have worked my way through a few sticks.

before I purchased the X-52 I used an X-45 for near a year. I was happy with it and it still worked perfectly, but when saitek released the'52 I knew I wanted one.

I have used it about 2 weeks now, and man is it sweet. the action on all the axis' is silky smooth,and accurate. I believe the "non contact" technology they are advertising has alot to do with this.

All the buttons are laid out in an intuitive manner, and there are more control options than the X-45 has. the blue LEDs are spiffy, and they thought to allow a way to dim or extinguish them if you so desire

The multi function display is nice to have, but essentialy just eye candy unless you need to know what time it is or what profile you are running.

overall it has a quality feel and look the X-45 was maybe lacking a bit.the hand rest on the stick is adjustable for height, which is also a nice touch. its large enough to accomodate large hands, mine arent exactly tiny and I moved the rest up a notch to be comfortable

I also liked the "two stage" trigger as now a slight pull is guns, and pull it fully and its guns+cannons.its the little things that mean so much.

anyway, it comes highly recommended by me, and at least 6 of the people I fly with also have and love their X-52's. you can't go wrong if you are looking for an advanced flightstick/throttle at a fair price.

Best Deals for Saitek X52 Flight Control System

EDIT: Use a bit of silicone grease under the plastic swash plate disk to drastically reduce friction and improve control fidelity. Audio fader or scuba types work well, but you may also find it at a hardware store. Teflon grease also works. Use thick grease. Do not use petroleum-derived products on plastic.

We can't compare this stick to Thrustmaster really because their stuff now is garbage. Thrustmaster pretty much forced Suncom (maker of the fab F-15 series) out of business with lawsuits claiming the newcomer was infringing on their patents to produce "realistic" flight sticks. Then we now have a monopoly on the supposedly authentic stuff which has produced crap like The Cougar. Thanks Thrustmaster! Then there's CH Products...good, smooth, but ugly, expensive, and low resistence. Saitek has been making these strange looking, possibly gimmick-rich products for a while. I think they've finally created a near ultimate HOTAS with the X52.

Clearly if you don't like twist rudders on the stick (as the real Comanche has) then you need to buy some pedals (everyone raves about CH's). But the throttle alone on this Saitek is worth the price. X-Plane and Longbow Anthology (when it works, which is rarely...might have to partition Win '95 spot for it) love this system. Every trim control and slider is recognized in X-Plane. In Longbow 1/2 I have most of the flight and cockpit commands in just one main mode and its pinkie mode. I'll save another mode and its pinkie equivolent for campaign comm stuff. That still leaves two more modes on this thing. Amazing. It's a bit of a headache programming it, but not from the standpoint of design. There's so much you can do with it that it's easy to get overwhelmed with where to put what command. Then you realize you could put such and such on a pinkie shift mode and move it over to the next button, yadda yadda yadda. It'll take hours unless you sit down and plan out your programming strategy ahead of time. But it pays off. Oh, and the mouse stick on the throttle works fine. I'm using it right now to surf the net since my Viewsonic optical was DOA (with no warranty, instructions, 800-number...unbelievable). I don't want to take my hands off the controls to retract flaps and gear after just taking off in an F-4...it's the easiest moment to stall.

My first gripe is that the twist rudder is a little weak on the spring to the right, but I set a significant deadspot in the control panel configuration to prevent me from accidentally yawing when I don't want to. Also, I haven't managed to get the toggles or the fire button to recognize pinkie shifts. For instance, I wanted engine offs and weapons jetison to be toggles+pinkie, with the fire+pinkie as master arm. It doesn't work with that, in Longbow Anthology, at least. But I need the keyboard nearby for a variety of other commands anyway, so it's not a big deal. I leave master arm on, I just wanted the neat effect of switching to it on the fly. There's nothing quite like having laser designator on a stick button to trigger one or two seconds before a hellfire impact, though. The lower hat on the stick does tend to get flipped occasionaly, but I put all my target next/previous/best/close on it. That makes it less of an issue.

The stick is adjustable to your handsize (my first adjustment that seemed perfect actually was too cramped) and it feels well built. I completely discount any complaints that the stick is too easy to tip over or has too much range of motion. If you're not strapping, taping, tying or otherwise attaching them to something, then you're an idiot. You should do that with any HOTAS. Even with my old Playstation I had the Flight Force Pro throttle and stick tied to the flat arms of a wooden deck chair with wrapping present ribbon/string. Couch throw pillows, queen size pillow, and standard pillow made great cushions. You can get a whole flight seat set up with just stuff around the house or from the local department store. Friends would freak out seeing me with Gunship 2000, Ace Combat 2, Colony Wars, and Star Fighter with that setup. Like I said, if you don't do twist rudders, buy pedals. If you don't like the stick, buy a CH one. The throttle is probably the best out there. I like the Saitek how it is and for the price you're getting stick and rudder for free when the only thing left on the market anymore that can compete with this is CH at $100 per item. I'm thrilled with my purchase.

Honest reviews on Saitek X52 Flight Control System

I've owned the x45 HOTAS for almost a year since I decided to finally try the x52. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with the x45, I just got a little curious about the x45's older brother.

Here are my observations comparing the two HOTAS: x45 vs. x52

* x45 Buttons/Hats were a little hard to reach with smaller hands on the stick, but I actually prefer the rocker switch for rudder control located on the throttle. I only wish it was designed better and more ergonomically. It felt weird for me to pull on the stick on the x52 and have to rotate the it for rudder control as more often than not I find myself rotating the stick inadvertently. Stability sucks while playing games, it's just not heavy/stable enough to keep from tipping often. SOLUTION: I've fabricated a bracket out of wood and steel to solve this. Solid as a rock on my chair or desk! Heavy as a rock though... =0(

* x52 Buttons/Hats are easier to reach on the stick, but having the rudder twist on the stick is a drawback for me. I'd rather use the rocker on the throttle or rudder pedals. More available modes are nice, but I've honestly never run out of buttons on the x45. Stability sucks while playing games, it's just not heavy/stable enough to keep from tipping over. Fabricating a bracket to mount on would solve this. The x52 just feels much bigger than the x45. It's a little uncomfortable moving the stick around because of its size, but the huge deadzone in the stick seems to be the biggest drawback for me. Can't seem to solve it with software either...

Unfortunately, I will be returning the x52 after only a few weeks of use and going back to my trusty x45. It looks cooler than the x45, feels better, but functionality has not been improved for me. Biggest drawbacks of the x52 are as follows (in order of importance):

1) Huge deadzone that can't be compromised with software. My x45 doesn't exhibit this flaw.

2) Rudder twist on the stick rather than a rocker switch. I would have preferred that they improved upon the x45's rocker switch on the throttle on the x52.

3) The HOTAS just "seems" much bigger when I'm playing. It's a little uncomfortable how tall the stick is and how much I have to throw it around for fast game playing.

Anyways, my $0.02. Have fun with whatever HOTAS you end up going with. I happen to love the fact that I paid $64.98 for my x45 on amazon, less than half what I paid for the x52. In my case, the x45 is simply a much better buy for what I got. But whatever the case, go test drive first. See what works for you! Just make sure you can return either for a refund.

I own and operate the Thrustmaster Cougar and now have the Saitek X52 to compare. First of all, they are similar and different but you can't fully appreciate one without knowing the other. This is a terrific opportunity to do a head to head comparison.

The X52 is simply a delightful work of art. It is beautiful sitting on my desk in the dark with it's illuminated buttons, switches and most of all the throttle's blue, backlit LCD. I wouldn't have believed I could own such technology for approximately one Ben Franklin but it's true and I'm in a little bliss over this new, superb flight control system.

THE GOOD X52

There's so much to say about this pair of controllers and almost all of it is positive. The aesthetics are unpretentiously modern star wars motif. The textured black on silver puts one to mind of a new stereo outfit. The little rubber inset grippers on the rotaries, dials and POVs are very appealing but the configurable intensity blue LEDs and LCD are so peerless that a smile is invoked every time I look the controls over. You can move the hand rest for the flight stick to five positions. This should accommodate a range of large to small hands nicely as the POVs, buttons and mode switch are put in effortless reach of thumb, index and pinky fingers. The stick has a short rotational throw with "relatively" strong spring resistance for rudder control. This is one 3D stick that doesn't seem to produce an affect on the X and Y axes when the rudder twist is engaged. There's a lock at the base of the stick to eliminate the rudder function but isn't especially necessary if you don't wish to use the stick's rudder feature. It really doesn't seem to interfere at any time.

The SST programming software can be optionally installed. In other words, you can keep things bare bone simple by allowing the buttons to be assigned to basic tasks within a game. You lose a great deal of potential function by not programming the X52 but you will still have a very powerful controller even in its most basic form. The SST isn't exactly intuitive but with a few hours of reading the installed Profile Editor's manual, under the HELP tab, and some experimentation, you will be amazed and pleased by a powerful and well thought out programming interface. You can really open up the interface by switching from a 3D display to a tabled "Data View". It seems as though there is no limit to the variation and combination of switch settings with 3 Modes and six base toggle positions. Like the Cougar, you can continue to multiply function by invoking the pinky button while selecting what a button, slider or POV will do. You have a micro stick on the throttle that will most likely be used as a mouse control. There's a hat on the throttle as well as a thumbwheel that operates very much like the thumbwheel mouse button combination on modern pc mice. The fore mentioned Slider and Thumbwheel are not on the Cougar's throttle but the X52 lacks the dogfight and Speed Brake switches. All else has comparable counter parts. The Cougar and X52 flight sticks are also close in features. The X52 lacks two POVs but has a 3 position rotary and six toggles on the base. The flip-up cover for the primary pickle button on the X52 stick is an Easter egg to me. Some might consider it a nuisance or waste but it can be left in the up position and poses no restrictions for critics. I find it an appealing item that shows a playful and generous attitude on the part of Saitek's engineering team. Another nice item is the small green power LEDs on the X52 controls. Again, it may be unnecessary but why not? There's a space for them and if you should choose to turn the LEDs and LCD backlighting to the off option, you'll still know your units are powered up.

THE BAD X52

Hardly worth mentioning when considering the incredible price! The units are very light weight; less than a pound for the throttle and perhaps a little more than that for the stick. Unless fastened down or minimum resistance is set for the throttle, you will be tipping and sliding it around when throwing the handle forward or back. I haven't wanted / bothered to install the supplied suction cups so that may be the way to go for many users. Suction cups aren't for me though. The action of the flight stick's axes is so light that you will require some practice getting used to a feather touch for control. It can be readily done but may not be immediately what you want for confidence inducing sensory resistance. I am happy with the action now but initially it didn't feel right. You might wish the flight stick handle to sit an inch lower as the zero contact design seems to have elevated the stick a bit more than it would be otherwise. If you can mount the stick a little lower than desk top level you might like the stick height a little bit more. Also, there is no solid detent for the idle and afterburner on the throttle. The resistance at least doubles when these boundaries are engaged and I do know that I have reached them but the familiar snick into a detent is what I'm used to and thus it doesn't feel quite right at this stage of my introduction to the X52. It's not a disaster without the detents and the lack of them may prove to be an absent point of wear that won't become an issue one day.

The SST programmer interface lacks the availability of a REMark statement but a comment can be made to momentarily appear on the throttle's LCD when a button press or macro is engaged. This quieted that lacking REMark complaint to a barely audible murmur from me. To see a short definition of a key press on the LCD adds to a sense of total technology coolery.

The multi language hardcopy manual looks loaded and promising but once opened you will be disappointed in the 30 pages of pertinent information that in part is a warrantee disclaimer and Saitek contact information. The manual that gets installed with the SST software doesn't mention the X52 at all but refers to the X36 and X45. One reference to setting milisecond timing for keypresses isn't correct with this version of the SST. There's still enough help available to understand the X52 adequately and it's a good guess that an update help system is in the making. By contrast the Cougar has an excellent hardcopy manual but in just a few hours I feel I know as much about the X52 as I do of the Cougar after two years of intermittent exposure. Sometimes less can be more.

The SST programming software lacks a literal KEYTEST applet, as well as many other FOXY like application and programming aids. Any of the FOXY like applets would be a terrific addition to an otherwise great programming interface. I might add that within the X52's control panel is a TEST tab. When testing each button, POV, mode switch and rotary, there's has been an ever so slight jittering in one or the other rotaries. Right now, I'm seeing nothing so I won't know how that will fair in the future but for now, it is not a problem to me and at present, doesn't even exist.

THE FINAL CONSENSUS

Quality, at least in part, is in the eye of the beholder. The Saitek X52 is light weight plastic. The Thrustmaster is heavy duty aluminum. You can never compare the two on a price level. The Cougar's FOXY programming language interface with all it's tutorials, keytest applications and interactive graphical interface is without comparison. The X52 simply is no match for these two features. But the Cougar is more than twice the price and doesn't have the LEDs and informational mode LCD with three time zones, button engagement information and timer. But, in the end neither really performs any greater or less than the other. One is a Honda and the other is a Hummer. They're both terrific and will get you reliably to your destination. I wouldn't want to choose between them and I'd rather own them both if possible. If you want the most expensive and robust feel that performs extensively and well, then you need the Cougar. If want the coolest looking, feature laden outfit available, go for the X52. I love the X52. I won't know how it will work in two years like I know of the Cougar but for the moment, I'm a coon in a cabbage patch.

I've read many "professional" reviews for this game, and none of them do this game justice. It is very exciting & playing multiplayer with 2 of my friends has already provided hours and hours of entertainment none of us want to stop, and we've put Dead or Alive 3 and Halo aside in favor of it. Its greatest strengths are its replay value as well as its 3-player multiplayer aspects. It is a fantastic "party" game, and is very useful for when friends visit for extended periods of time (when DoA3 would get old within the first few hours). I highly recommend this game.

NHL HITZ is a great game. When Ps2 came out the best sports games came out on launch. This is the same way. NHL HITZ is the best launch game. Along with halo it has great graphics, showing you just how powerfull it really is. I am not a big fan of Hockey, I don't obsess about watching it, but the games have always been the best. Look at n64's wayne gretzky, n64's 98 face off. Really good! Customize your own teams without even owning a memory card, you dont need one with the large internal memory. Make your own plans, when you get a hat trick your player catches on fire and becomes omnipotent. Hint: while replaying look closely at the crowd, they will display a code to put in during loading sequences... I have not seen what they all do yet, but they are helpful.. This game has replay value through the roof. Have fun spending hours at a time sucked into the black void in your tv with this really great game.

Best Deals for NHL Hitz 2002

Midway got it right with every sports pseudo-sim they've made since NBA Jam for SNES. And NHL Hitz 20-02 is the epitome of all the best you've come to expect from them, translated into the coolest game on earth: NHL hockey!

As with NBA Jam and NFL Blitz, this isn't a game you play for realistic simulation. If that's what you want, get EA Sports' NHL 2002.

Hitz is 3-on-3 hockey action and each team has 6 players to choose from, some of which will be scorers, and others which are hard-hitters (the hitters are more likely to get in fights and win them). If a player gets in a fight and loses, he's out for the rest of the game. Although there is a lot of steamrolling and big hits, you still need strategy and teamwork to get the puck in the net.

The AI is very good; very seldom will it allow any team to win by a landslide. If one team gets too far ahead of the other, the game will assist the losing team by making their hits a little harder, their shots a little more accurate, etc. This makes the game continually challenging.

The crowd is very dynamic and adds environment to the game. The announcers are also good at keeping the spirit of the game alive. Their comments are generally well-timed and seldom get repetitive. There isn't music during the game but between intervals of action you'll hear a lot of cool songs.

The hits are every bit as good as the hype. Players will routinely be smashed through the rinkside glass into the stands, especially when you play as the roughest team in the NHL: the San Jose Sharks. The fighting is cool, too. Usually it'll be one or two of your guys getting into all the fights, like with me, it was either Nolan or Marchment throwing down the gloves. But I was surprised when Selanne and Damphousse decided to mix it up and were able to hold their own as well. Fights can win a game for you by knocking out the other team's best players.

The graphics are superior to NHL 2002, especially on the Xbox version, which has a few enhancements to make the game look better than its PS2 and GC counterparts.

You can also unlock a dozen new rinks to play in, as well as heritage jerseys, different teams, and different heads to put on custom teams' players.

You can make custom teams with accessories you buy in the Hockey Shop and play them against any other team, even win the Stanley Cup with.

Bottom line: unless you hate hockey or prefer realistic sports games, this game is well worth your money, especially if you get the Xbox version.

If you want an accurate hockey sim then pass on this. However, if you're looking for some great arcade type of fun, then this is your game. It's fast paced and just plain fun. I could do without all the fighting in it though. It still kicks as an overall arcade style hockey game. It's all about good ole' smashmouth rock-n-roll hockey fun.

You can play against your friends or you can jump onto the same team and run havok through the game.

This game is a great game for young girls. I got it for my daughter on PS2. She's ten and loved it. The story is basic, you have to rescue missing baby horses, but there are hidden coins and presents that let you unlock new outfits for Barbie and customize her horse. A couple of the puzzles were a little challenging, but nothing she couldn't figure out. It was fun for her to jump things and race her friends. Probably my biggest complaint is that controlling the horse takes a little to get the hang of, but after some practice, it became no problem. I recommend this game for any little girl who loves horses like my daughter. She and her brother had fun challenging each other with the multiplayer, too. It's not violent or dark and scary, just a fun and engaging adventure.

Every little girl dreams of owning a horse and this is a great game to play that you do. It is a great game it is a lot of fun. You track down wild mustangs (not the car) and try and help them to get to a save area. This is a very simple game, but kept me wanting to play for a long while! You can change clothing, and the look of your horse! This game is a lot of fun!

My almost-6-year-old received this for Christmas and loves it. It's her first video game and it serves it's purposes wellit's challenging enough for a young girl, yet not so hard as to be frustrating. There are a variety of activities to interest girls and opportunities to have 2 person games if you have 2 controllers. Overall, I'm quite pleaed. I purchased the Pittsburgh Steeler Skinit for my sons new xbox controller. I purchased the Skinit during the Christmas holiday. The Skinit arrived with no delays. It was very easy to apply. Great for the sport lover's controller. If you have more than one kid this is great to identify which controller is his/hers. Even though all the remotes are the same for some reason kids have "their" controller that they must use so this was great! Easy to install and I would buy this again.

This is, without a doubt, the most enjoyable racing came I've played since the original "DESTRUCTION DERBY" for the PSone. I loved playing that game, because as the race progressed the track would become littered with the crushed hulks of the cars, black smoke belching from the engine. It was so much fun. And now this new "TEST DRIVE" game has the same insane fun factor and more cars, tracks, unlockables and bone-jarring crashes than any demoltion derby nut could want!

One thing I love about this game is that, unlike other racers, coming in first in the events is not what you need to do to advance through the game. You instead are rewarded for hitting your opponents HARD!!!! and/ or knocking them out of the race (called Kills in the game). The more crashes and kills you rack up, the higher your reputation rating goes. And that is how you unlock cars, tracks, video footage of real derby doings (those guys are nuts!!!), and feats ( such as being able to shoot live chickens out the front of your car that explode on impact sending chicken feathers all over and any unlucky opponent flying into the air or off a cliff ).

There is a large selection of cars and some fun, special vehicles like school buses ( almost indestructible, my favorite car in the game being the rainbow colored bus ), a mail truck, ambulance, taxi and a hearse complete with a coffin in the back ( the red one is called "The Dead Sled") .

The tracks are nice and the race events are way cool! There are so many different types of events, you'll never get bored. There are figure-8 jump races ( in the center there are jumps and the cars fly into the air often crashing with the cross traffic ), forward-backward races ( one lap driving forward, the next backward ), suicide races ( half the pack goes in one direction, the other half in the opposite direction causing many crashes and smashes ), flagpole races ( twice a lap you must drive around a flagpole before continuing ), demolition derbys, push-offs ( like the demolition derbies, only you get extra points for each car you knock out or push-out of the circle ), and on and on.

In action mode you can pick your car, how many races you want to do at one track (1,3,5,7) and which ones (very nice!) and then go out and run your opponents off the road!

In career mode you start out with a little junky car and not much cash. You must enter into events, earn reputation points and cash, buy new cars ( fasters and more durable ) and eventually become the top ranked driver. It is loads of fun, believe me. You will have a blast!

The graphics are quite nice. Doors fly open, hoods are torn off, cars burst into flames, black smoke billows out of their wrecked engines all to some fine haevy metal music.

I've been playing this game almost every day since I bought it and don't see myself growing tired of it anytime soon. In fact, as I buy new games to play, I believe that this will be one game I'll keep coming back to again and again for a crashing good time!

I know there are other really BIG racing games coming out soon (GT4, MIDNIGHT CLUB 3, NFS UNDERGROUND 2), but don't let that make you ignore this smaller title. I believe any car nut/ racing fan will really enjoy this game and have a good time for many hours. In short, buy it, you'll like it! I know I did. Can you tell? George Bauch.

Alot of times i will have trouble getting into racing games due to 1 or 2 small things that make the game a drag... but this one i have beaten 3 times and still enjoy playiong it!!!!

The Cars are excellent (i love the hearse), Physics and Damage are amazingly realistic.... very cool unlockable Videos. Tons of diffrent race modes, and a Very good soundtrack!!!

The ONLY thing that i think is a little dissappointing is the fact that SOME of the event types are not playable in the Carreer mode (out of about 25 diffrent styles of events..only about 3 are NOT in the Career mode).

I recomend you pick up this game.. if you like racing, and like Demolition derby style play... You will love this game Beyond words!!!!

When I bought this game, I had little idea of the doors it was going to open to remind me of the vintage, small town demo derbys I went to during my childhood and teenage years. There's no NASCAR cars here or formula one racers, no modern driving techniques or special, millenium style scenarios. It's straight back to the small town, state fair, dirt track style demo derbies and races with 50's, 60's, and 70's Fords, Dodges, and Chevys spray painted with numbers and stripes and ready to hit the tracks for fender bender mayhem!

You also DON'T have to be a racing video game guru to win these races! There are playing levels from rookie to legend in this game. Even in the legend level, if you can steer and go around the track, handle basic racing strategies, you have a great chance of winning! Winning and racing are a hoot in this game with the addition of the announcer shouting your name as the winner or teasing you because you came in last!

The races are wildly entertaining, from demo derbies to figure 8 races to races I hadn't even thought of. The Gauntlet involves racing a hearse around the track five times while other drives try to wreck you. The Suicide Race is exciting while the other half of the cars come at you head on. Detention is absolute mayhem fun, driving a schoolbus trying to destroy the other cars on the track. Some races aren't exactly easy, The Whiparound Race isn't as easy as it sounds, but fun to try (I can only imagine how true drivers managed to turn around going full speed while racing). My favorites are the figure 8 jump race and the down to basics demo derby.

Replay action is awesome in this game. You can choose several options to view the race from many angles and it gives great opportunities to see how well you've done or witness better some of the spectacular crashes that can happen in this game.

There's a large selection of vintage cars to choose from. In career mode, it takes a bit more work to earn money to get them, but when you reach certain levels, it's fun to take the cars to the garage and "spray paint" them with your own names, logos, designs, and numbers. The special effects are also great, from the bursts of flames from the pipes protruding through the hoods to smoking engines to the banging sounds of cars crashing into each other.

I have spent countless hours playing this game and it's still fun. It takes me back to the carnival and fair days when I would sit and wait for the racing/demo derby to begin.

Whoever invented this game-a big handshake to you and THANKS for making life such great fun for demo derby enthusiasts!

Among the various racing games I have played, this is easily one of the more fun games. I enjoy car racing games probably more than other types of games, and I have enjoyed games like Grand Turismo a lot. However, I think Eve of Destruction is probably the best and most gratifying video games I've played. Grand Turismo is a stellar game, but I did find that it was rather complicated, and it had a steep learning curve, and it took a long time to become even a modest player--but it is still a fun game (I would like to point out that I did cut my video game playing teeth on the old school nintendo, so it may take a dinosaur like me more time to master these new fangled video games that the kids these days love so much). Eve of Destruction was easy enough to master to make it fun from the start of play.

Basically the premise of the game is entirely built around demolition derby events. So, there are all these different types of races (like the Jump race or the figure 8 race) and then there are these other events (like the demolition derby, the gauntlet) where one doesn't race so much as just repeatedly drive one's own car into others' cars. Basically, in the various events, the more one hits other cars, the more points one earns; the more points one earns the more stuff gets unlocked. So, essentially, the more one hits the other cars during the game, the better the game gets. As I said, it's quite gratifying.

There are a good selection of different cars with different capabilities. Compact cars, muscle cars, cars that are designed either for speed or good handling or delivering/taking abuse (I prefer using the "Gladiator" which is somewhat like a late 1960s Dodge Charger). In the straight up action mode, one can choose from any number of cars, including 'specialty' cars like a school bus, police car or ambulance. Career mode is a lot of fun as well. One starts out with a crappy car, but once one enters events and earns money, one can buy upgrades or better cars while climbing the Eve of Destruction rankings.

The one criticism I have is that the game has an "announcer" which is fine, but he tends to repeat himself. The game also has music which I did not care for, but you can turn it off, so, I can't much complain about that. I guess you can also turn the announcer off, so maybe I don't have much room to complain about that either. Whatever.

I got this cable because I move my Xbox or ps3 from my to my girlfriend's house and got tired of bringing the cables to her house, and my girlfriend has a Wii so no more cable hot seat I thought. They work perfectly, no weird anomalies, and the cables feel solid. The Xbox connector even has the optical out on it, which microsoft's cables lack.

Unfortunately if you have more than one console plugged in at the same time the audio goes quiet, so I'll have to switch physically between cables when I want to play a different console.

Overall very satisfied with these cables. They can sit in my bag for if I visit a friend's house.

This was the cheapest cable that I could find that was made by a company that I would trust. It works exactly as I expected and it is a noticeable improvement in video quality for my Wii. The only reason I got this is because I wanted to play my Wii on a LCD monitor and it has either a composite input (the yellow plug that comes with the Wii) or a S-video input (this product). I was unhappy with the quality of the composite input especially when it came to the text. This cable sharpened the text to a manageable level but it's still not perfect. If I had the option on my monitor, I would have gotten a component cable which would have been the best available for the Wii. If you have a Xbox 360 or a PS3 and would like higher resolution I would recommend a Component or HDMI cable instead. I am happy with this product because it does what I expected it to, it's not the best solution, but it's the only solution for my situation.

This is a decent expansion pack for The Sims 3. The town is great and reminds me of living in a 3D Sim City. The clubs are fun to go to but my only complaint is they are always empty! It is not very fun to go out as no one in the town is really ever at. Maybe 1 or 2 Sims will be in a HUGE club. Not like the commercials at all in this respect. I am happy you can now go inside the building facades, unlike the first Sims 3 game.

Being a celebrity has been fun as other Sims will come up to you and take pictures and ask for autographs. And the paparazzi follow you around.

I haven't started a band yet but that is what I want to do next.

I have noticed a few glitches as Sims will walk in slow motion while everyone else is normal or get stuck in the elevator for hours.

Overall a fun expansion pack for the Sims 3 game.

I think what late night has to offer is great if you want to play the celebrity life in the new town. If you don't think playing a celebrity is what you would enjoy, the extra household items and outfits alone are worth the money you would spend to purchase this expansion.

I like the celebrity status more than the late night part, the late night doesn't last that late, and all they do is dance around. I was plesantly surprised once I started to really get into this. And since I've had the chance to play it for several days now, I can honestly say this has been the best EP EA has put out for the Sims 3. The fun factor is a win for me. I love the added objects, the super star aspects and above all else, vampires! And luckily they have a little bit more free roam to them than the vampires did in The Sims 2. Instead of one type of bite, you have two. They also have two different forms of getting blood other than biting a Sim. Don't wanna give away a whole lot but trust me when I say, if you enjoyed The Sims 2 Night Life, you'll love Late Night for the Sims 3

It just got shipped to me yesterday and I opened it with delight this morning. This is the first decal I've ordered from this seller.

The quality is just a little more durable than an average sticker so don't really expect more than that. But the image quality is very nice. :D

It was a bit difficult to actually put on the DSi, but the adjusting phase was also part of my OCD nature for it to be perfect. But once things got aligned it looked really great. However, the sticker is just a tiny bit big.

Seller: I do recommend getting actual DS models to put your stickers on to see the way they look rather than a digital image. The sticker is fine on the cover if you get it right (which I did~), but the top portion for the inside there is a placement issue with the speakers and the rounded edges of the DSi. I should be able to post images of my actual DSi with the stickers on them once I find my camera.

(Also, I would recommend eliminating the part that goes under the screen on the bottom portion of the DSi with the buttons and turning that into two stickers. That part is a bit too big to look right. Plus it would help with alignment issues.)

I had to file down a tab or two on the buttons and the bottom piece fit a little off. Overall fit was good and color matched well. It cost less than any other set I found so I wasn't expecting too much. Still, my controllers look great in all white now. That's what I was looking for.

Over a year ago, I had purchased a gold modded controller from Geniusmods that just had the rapid fire function. The controller works great, but we have been looking for an updated model and came across this. This controller is amazing in so many ways.

We were impressed to see how many mods were available on the controller. The controller came with a manual that went over all the functions of the controller, and we have yet to get to try out all the functions, but I can assure you the controller offers a LOT.

The controller itself just looks and feels amazing. The metal thumbsticks and bullet buttons feel nice, just overall makes the controller feel really solid and great quality. I wasn't too sure how the metal thumbsticks would grip after playing with the rubber top ones for so long but they grip pretty good. They have notches around the rim, and they are concave to hold your thumbs. Overall they feel solid and I feel like they are more precise because of the added weight to them.

The controller is light, as mentioned. The rumbles were removed, and I was surprised to see how much lighter it is, even with the metal thumbsticks and bullet buttons. But it truly is lighter, which is pretty nice. I sometimes do miss having the rumbles though.

The trigger stops are amazing too. I love how quickly they let you shoot. Even without the mod you can shoot much faster with just the trigger stops. I had no idea how great they would feel until I got a chance to try them out. I'm in love.

The mods have a lot of custom settings which is also nice. Drop shot has multiple settings, jitter has multiple settings, and rapid fire is completely adjustable. It is nice to dial in the perfect settings to suite your playing needs. I haven't really played around with them too much, I'm just using the default settings for now. Eventually I'll get around to trying out everything.

The price I paid was unbeatable for what the controller came with. We've done lots of research on modded controllers and could not find one that had all these functions for a price like this, and I am pleased to say we received a quality product with lots of functionality. Very happy with this purchase

I gave this controller to my brother as a birthday present. He is a huge gamer, as am I, but he is a gamer to the extreme.

From the minute he opened it he was screaming in excitement. He quickly took the controller out of the packaging and tried it out. He has informed me that his K2D ratio has gone way up since using the controller.

Being a gamer myself, I was curious about the controller and gave it a try. I'm in love. Here is my review:

The controller is light as the listing mentioned they removed the rumbles to reduce the weight. I wasn't entirely sure why one would want a lighter controller but it feels nice.

The trigger stops are AMAZING!!! I used trigger stops an the FAL with the rapid fire mod enabled and I was shooting faster than I could imagine. It has a great feel to it and definitely makes a difference.

I used the controller for a few hours and there were so many mods that I didn't even get a chance to try all them out. There's quick scope and jump shot and so much more. This thing is amazing. I sort of feel bad that I keep using my brothers present so I'm going to get another one for myself in a different color :)

Definitely worth the money. I've had other mods and none have compared to this one. This is hands down the best mod and the price is unbeatable for what you get with it. I'm in love with geniusmods
