I bought a pair of these to add on to the two old XBOX 360 power supplies I had laying around. I wanted to be able to move my new slim from TV to TV like i use to with my old white xbox. After I first installed them the Xbox power supply, did not power on at all and I thought maybe the negative reviews were correct. After messing with them a little bit I realized that they were not fully pressed onto the old power supply. You need to use a decent amount of force to get them on and they will click when they are full inserted. After they were put on correctly they have worked great. I have them on the original large power supply and the smaller power supply they were using before the slim came out, they both work perfectly. Hope this helps someone as I was some what worried about them with all the negative reviews.

Ok, so I bought a 360 slim, got it home, hooked it up... the system itself is super silent, you can only hear it from like a foot away... The power brick however... well you know what that sounds like or you wouldn't be reading this right now. lol It seems odd that Microsoft designed a silent system with a noise maker power brick attached to it. Anyways, I just want you to know that I don't think I have ever written a review about anything before and actually turned on the computer just to write this because this adapter is amazing! I seriously can't hear a thing! (using in conjunction with the Jasper 150w power brick) I didn't have the TV turned on when i first powered it up for the first time with the old silent adapter and the thing was so quiet I thought I broke the system because I didn't hear anything... To my astonishment its actually that quiet... Lets see... I could compare the quietness to an iPod when you turn it on... seriously quiet... actually you wouldn't even know it was on if the TV wasn't on. The power brick that came with the slim was a "rev B" (can be found 3rd line down in the text on the back of the power brick, Rev B is known for their noise) Brick that came with system = 8/10 for noise ... Old power brick and adapter 0.01/10 for noise. Total night and day difference. Ok, now I'm actually going to go play a game now where I don't have to drown out the power brick with the volume. Review 10/10.

First Review on Amazon to warn other buyers. I tried this on my xbox slim and have not been able to turn it on since with the original power cable or the converter. I am in the process of sending in my xbox for repair now. Beware, just buy a new power supply. That's what I will end up doing now. Horrible product.

I had a first gen XBox 360 up until about 2 weeks ago, when it finally died on me. I had used a repair it yourself kit to buy me an extra few weeks, but ultimately the RROD claimed another victim.

When I got my nex XBox 360 4th Slim, I was disheartened to find out that the power adapters were incompatible. I have two gaming stations set up in my house, so I can watch Netflix or game wherever I want. I didn't want to buy another brick power supply, so I got this instead.

It has worked for two weeks now, flawlessly and on the first try. It was a great deal. It is unfortunate that the other reviewer had a bad experience, because I haven't. I don't usually write reviews, but I was so impressed by this little number that I felt I should add my 2 cents. It's worth the five bucks.

It works exactly as it should. After my new slim power supply started overheating I bought this. Now after a week without Netflix on the big screen, I'm back to watching TEDtalks. If any problems come up in the future I'll be sure to come back and give an update.

Im a longtime fan of shmups. R-Type, Gradius V and U.N. Squadron, 1943 and the more recent DeathSmiles and Akai Katana are some of my faves. After months of procrastinating I finally caved and bought this game. What a disappointment. Here's why:

1) In every shooter one of the most important things is to make sure the player can tell the difference in foreground/backgrond graphics, as well as being able to clearly see enemy bullets. OE does an amazing job of ruining that conceptobjects that look like youll crash into you'll go right through and vise versa, and enemy bullets are so hard to see against the bright backgrounds its impossible to tell whats going on.

2) Unlimited continues from the get-go and bosses that "run-away" after 3 or 4 minutes makes no sense. I just beat the game on a 2nd play-through doing this before writing this review. All you have to do is hit Start to continue when needed and you can beat the game just like that.

3) Voice acting. Its fine for some games but this in particular its like they got some 10 year old girl with the highest pitched voice to squeak out dialogue. There is a TON of chatter throughout the game and it doesn't let up much at all. I turned it all the way down, only to find out that when you die there's no voice going "ahhh!!" anymore, but there's no explosion sound to signify i got hit. Your character just slowwwwwwwwly falls toward you then off-screen to the left.

4)Your main gun shoots two bullets on screen at once. Two bullets. Thats it. Good luck trying to defeat a boss if this ever happens. (Oh wait! Just refer to #2, silly me!).

5)I paid just $12 for the disc (still a rip-off) but apparently there are 25 pieces of paid DLC. Not only that, the paid DLC consists of the usual gamerpics, skins, extra stages, extra characters, and...music tracks?!?! And the music tracks are.....440 points ($5.50). EACH. SERIOUSLY. Go look on xbox.com yourself. This is an insult, especially for such a niche market these days they have to nickel and dime us to death? Hey Konami, you do you think you are? Capcom?

6) There's this odd text bar that resides above your weapon layout, (bottom left of screen). So when certain characters are yabbering in Japanese it scrolls

the English text. Its small and hard to read but most importantly for a game like this its distracting with no option to turn off. Also, for each music track that plays it will show the song title and composer on the bottom right of the screen. Oh, and cant be turned off either.

7)To piggyback on parts of #5 and #6, the music sucks. Especially the boss musicdoesnt fit in at all. Not even in a Parodius kind-of-weird, (that game was actually fun and had some cool tunes though). OE is just blah and boring.

Id give this game zero stars if I could. Please dont make the same mistake I did. Buy DeathSmiles instead. Or DeathSmiles IIX off Games on Demand. Or Akai Katana. Or Espgaluda II. All are for Xbox 360 and are wonderful shoot-em-ups/shmups that are worth your time and money. Not this worthless piece of garbage!

They totally blew it in a bad way. Instead of bringing us a souped-up Gradius or a crazier/zanier Parodius, we get this weird game. Now, I'm not completely against the idea of making more side-scrolling shoot-'em-ups, as they are not as popular as the vertical scrollers, but this one is definitely not representative of what is best about the genre. To add insult to injury, you end up feeling like you bought "part" of the game because of all the damn DLC they tried to shank their customers with: You have to download certain levels, download characters, download this, download that... what a buncha crap. The graphics aren't all that great either, sort of a mix of 2D and 3D I hate 3D and I can't recall the music at all. I wouldn't recommend this game to anyone. I only got it because it was free with "rewards points" from my credit card and I'm a bit of a completist. Am I glad I didn't shell out for the import copy.

Otomedius is a horizontally scrolling shooter which touts itself as the successor to Konami's classic Gradius series. While it shares many of the base gameplay features as this legendary series, it unfortunately suffers many problems which results in a very mediocre experience.

Just to name a few, due to the size of your player character on the screen, it can become extremely difficult to correctly gauge your hitbox, especially on the harder difficulties when the screen is full of projectiles.

While the 2-D artwork which permeates the game is well done, the actual 3D models used within the game itself are very lackluster. This becomes especially apparent during times when the game zooms in during cutscenes.

The multiplayer aspect of the game is also a disappointment. The game does not allow for two people to play together in the normal "Story" mode of the game. Rather, the only way to play with friends is in a specific "Multiplayer" mode, where the second player is not able to gain experience, and no continues are allowed. So, you are completely out of luck if you want to just play the normal game with a friend.

The boss fights in the game can also be a source of frustration. While the bosses are not too difficult, they tend to have an unusually high amount of health, and it is a near impossibility to hit some of their weak points without using certain specific weapons. As a result, many of the weapons available to you are largely worthless, as it is nearly impossible to defeat the bosses using them before you run out of time.

While each of these complaints, when taken alone, are not horrendous faults, the fact that so many minor poor game design choices exist at once just makes the game seem amateurish. If the company behind the game was new, or at least new to making this genre of game, then it could almost be excused. But this game was made by Konami, a company whose experience making shooters stretches back over twenty five years. And while this game so proudly declares its decent from the Gradius series on the cover, the simple fact of the matter is that Gradius V, a game that was released nearly seven years before on an inferior console, completely surpasses Otomedius Excellent in pretty much every possible way.

The game does boast a decent, if not particularly memorable, soundtrack that has a decent amount of songs from classic Konami titles. And the large amount of playable characters, coupled with a copious amount of unlockables, does give it a fair amount of replay value. Trying to obtain all of the weapons in the game will definitely provide plenty of entertainment to fans who enjoy the collection aspect of games. I feel it is important to warn, however, that the game relies quite heavily on the use of paid DLC. In fact, two characters, who were quite prominently displayed in both the promotion of the game as well as the intro movie of the game itself, are only accessible by paying separately for them once you have already purchased the game.

One final important note is that the game's visual aesthetic was very clearly designed to cater entirely to a very specific group of fans. And it is very likely that your enjoyment of the game may drastically increase or decrease based entirely on whether or not you happen to belong to this group. I will say, though, that with the amount of minor problems prevalent throughout this title, one would almost wish that they had spent less time worrying about the visual appeal of the characters, and more on ironing out the actual gameplay.

There's really not much to say about the game except it's alright if you're looking for a classic star fighter 2D game,had a gift card so figured why not and for the price not all bad just not great either.

Don't expect any of the regular gameplay we expect from today's games obviously as all you really do is shoot the enemy fighters until the boss battle at the end of the level though you will give a chuckle or two at some of the voice comments from the characters in the game intentional or not.

If you can get the game under $10 I'd say go for it though even $10 maybe a little much for this game still if you're looking for a classic style of starfighter shooter type games overall it's not too bad.

Normally, I don't write reviews. I'm more of a reader and analyzer; but in this case I can't keep my mouth shut. The Gears of War 3 Xbox 360 Vault by Calibur 11 is simply awesome. It's made out of very solid plastic, and has in-game interaction; the famous Gears logo glows red when you are downed in the game! It also has multiple light settings, so you can set it to turn on once in a while, or constantly, or just the perimeter, etc. It's a really nice case for my Xbox and it's very durable. You don't have to worry about this falling over on your entertainment center. Also, some added perks are it includes a code to enter into a contest to win a life-sized COG suit of armor, as well as the option to create nameplates that you can install onto your vault (I have my gamertag on mine). This is an excellent alternative to anyone who would consider getting a limited edition Xbox 360 for a much more affordable price, but still have it look unique and stand out in your living room. Highly recommended for all Gears fans especially!

To begin with, I bought this for my brother as a birthday gift. I ordered it directly from Calibur11's website. After they charged my card, I heard nothing from them for about a week. Then I emailed them and asked what was going on. They emailed me back saying that they apologize but the Mass Effect 3 vault is on backorder (How does this work when you're the manufacturer?) and my order would be delayed for three weeks to a month. I told them that was fine, since I didn't order the Mass Effect 3 vault, I then asked them to cancel my order, as I would order it from Amazon instead, since there were multiple sellers selling it.

I placed the order, and it arrived. This thing is amazing looking. It really is, and I want that to be clear. I put it together on my brothers Xbox and plugged in the USB, only to find that the USB isn't working. Its either the USB thats not working, or the Vault came with dead LEDs. For some reason, which I admit I am unsure about, this just doesn't work. Brand new and it doesn't work.

My next step was to look online for support or help about this. I thought that perhaps others have had this issue. Good luck with that, is all I can say now. I couldn't find ANY support or help for any of the Calibur11 products, even on their own website. I resorted to posting a comment on their youtube video for the product in hopes of them seeing it and contacting me back.

This is horrible customer service on their part, on both accounts (the original order, and the lack of a help section). This was supposed to work out of the box, it does not. I am left with no other options but to leave this review so that others may know about my experience. I'll update this, accordingly, when or if I hear from Calibur11.

September 29th Update:

I finally got this working. The connector for the USB power that plugs in to the led's seemed to be slightly damaged, upon removing it and investigating. Luckily, I know a guy good with stuff like this and he fixed it up for me. The product now works as it should and glows properly.

I never heard ANYTHING from Calibur11, and as such, will probably not be a returning customer.

September 29th Update 2:

Apparently Calibur11 did contact me on Youtube. They sent me a link they called a "Troubleshooter". It was a link to

Nowhere on that website is there a troubleshooter. It describes how to set up the sound function, and nothing else. They did not help at all and I had to fix this issues myself (with the help of a friend).

To reiterate, I will not purchase from Calibur11 again.

This is a decent expansion pack for The Sims 3. The town is great and reminds me of living in a 3D Sim City. The clubs are fun to go to but my only complaint is they are always empty! It is not very fun to go out as no one in the town is really ever at. Maybe 1 or 2 Sims will be in a HUGE club. Not like the commercials at all in this respect. I am happy you can now go inside the building facades, unlike the first Sims 3 game.

Being a celebrity has been fun as other Sims will come up to you and take pictures and ask for autographs. And the paparazzi follow you around.

I haven't started a band yet but that is what I want to do next.

I have noticed a few glitches as Sims will walk in slow motion while everyone else is normal or get stuck in the elevator for hours.

I've beaten both versions of San Andreas (ps2/Xbox) and I can honestly say that it is the greatest game I've ever played. Anyone who disagrees with me has obviously never played it all the way through or they used cheats to do so. GTA San Andreas is all out amazing and blows any game out there away. That is of course until a new GTA game comes out for the Ps3 or Xbox 360. If you've never played a GTA game or you didn't like the other GTA games, you still have to play San Andreas.

I didn't even start playing this game until after I beat GTA IV when a friend recommended I check out some of the earlier games in the series. It's absolutely phenomenal! There are actually many more side missions and fun things to do in this game than GTA IV. Even after beating the main storyline, you'll still have hours upon hours of extra tasks that you can complete. Rockstar should have remade this game for GTA IV. A must buy!!

This is by far the best game I've ever played. Sure, it's so inappropriate it's laughable, but that's not the point. This is a revolutionary game, with probably one of the biggest worlds ever made in videogames. The radio is amazing, the story makes sense, and even though it's a GTA game, it still has family values. CJ tries to find out who killed his mom with his brother as they bring the Grove Street Families back from the grave. Excellent!

People don't buy this game because it teaches them great values, they buy it because it's a great game. It's not like after beating this game, I'm gonna go grab an AK-47 and go on a police massacre. How is it our country is so messed up to allow such a violent game be sold then pull it off the shelves because of a little sex scene. I walk up to the old grannies in the game, stop them into a bloody mess then track bloody foot prints (or tire tracks) as I leave. But show two consenting adults having sex and the game gets pulled. Sex is not illegal. The violence is. I think it is totally bassackwards. The game is sweet either way, for adults anyway. I need to get GTA 3.

Being a lifelong game player who started out on the old pong style games on a black & white tv I've played a wide assortment of platforms and games and the latest that I'm into are the various music games. Yes they can seem to be pretty much all the same after awhile (push this button, strum that button, hit drum pad) but the way I look at them is as an extension of the listening pleasure of the music with the ability to interact with what I'm listening to.

Since the first DJ Hero I have been wondering if I should take the step and after playing an online demo I decided to give it a go and purchased the DJ Hero 2 turntable bundle and am very happy I did. Although the general styles of music are not what I primarily listen to, the mixes in this game are very fun to listen to and as I am playing currently on medium, this game is a very nice challenge and loads of fun to play. Control is kinda intimidating at first but once you play the tutorial and get your timing down you get the hang of it rather quickly.

So I highly recommend this for anyone that wants a different challenge over the various guitar/drum/vocal games but if you can't stand dance/rap style music then nothing that anyone writes or says will convince you to pick up this very fun game.

First, though I've not played Rock Band (drums or keyboard) I have spent a lot of time on the 360's guitars. They're great, but DJ Hero 2 is the best music game I've yet played. First of all the track listing is MUCH better than in the other music games, which typically rely heavily on old music I frankly hate. I am not a kid but seriously I have no interest at all in playing classic rock on a guitar. Not now, or ever. I love the genre of music in this game, heavy house/techno/dance mashups/remixes. Really, Mo' Money Mo' Problems, how can you go wrong? And a track by Prodigy (another downloadable), with the toughest in the game being Chemical Brothers' Galvanize. Plus several pop songs that hit the charts this year (2010).

Music aside, the game itself is pretty cool. The music is actually customizable on the fly; instead of simply hitting notes and having maybe a whammy bar that very occasionally changes the sound you can motivate it here with fading, among other things. Granted, you're mostly following what is in place but you do have some control that is lacking in other games.

Easily worth the money, especially at the current discount price for the table and game.

Having enjoyed playing through the first Dead Space, I was looking forward to a good scare with a lot of action. I was not disappointed. Dead Space 2 improves in almost every way over its predecessor. From the beginning of the game, which had me jumping out of my seat, to the heart-pounding end, I was constantly on the edge of my seat. The action flows seamlessly, and it no longer feels like a series of fetch quests like in the original. The upgrades were more intuitive, and the suits just kept looking more awesome. There is one thing to note however. This game has a lot of gore. Way more than the first one. If that doesn't bother you, then fine, but if you are even slightly squeamish you would be better off letting other people play during some scenes. I may have developed a permanent fear of needles thanks to this game :) In summary:

PROS:

More intuitive gameplay flow

Better character and story development than compared to the first

Graphics are top-notch

The sound is perhaps the best I've experienced in a game

Still not the most engulfing story in the world

Difficulty is completely brutal (for those of you who like a challenge this could be a PRO)

Believe the hype! Dead Space 2 is everything you could want and expect from a sequel. And then there's more! To date, this is the single scariest/goriest game I have ever played on a console. (Silent Hill, you used to be the victor but come on, it's 2011 and sometimes, you just gotta move on.) (I still say the original Dead Space is the scariest game I have ever played though, but since this is part of the same universe, it still counts!) What makes it scary though?

How about: the music, the creepy atmosphere, the darkness, the fact that you have to rely on the light from your flashlight throughout the entire game (forget Doom 3's flashlight, this is the real deal,) the screaming (from Isaac and others,) the hallucinations, the death animations, the monster sounds, the babies crying, Isaac's (now) warped/skewed perspective of reality, the gore, the blood, the setting and the story. In the same vein, as films like "Even Horizon" and "Sunshine," there is a good dose of story-telling and character setup though none of it is too ground-breaking. What I am trying to say is that while the voice-acting is above-average, it isn't spectacular. Isaac's character is believable this time around, which is a huge improvement and a definite plus from the first game since Isaac was pretty much mute (sorta like a certain physicist from a certain game about killing crabs that like to jump on heads...) Also, part of the whole Dead Space charm lies in the different weapons you use. Though you are ultimately using "mining" tools, the developers have gone the extra mile to show us that just about anything can really be made into a weapon. From the Plasma Cutter and Seeker Rifle to the Contact Beam and Javelin Gun (a personal favorite,) don't these all sound just oh-so-wonderful? And remember, this is a survival-horror/action/adventure-type game so, oh my! Bonus tip: hold down RT + B and Isaac immediately force-levitates any object in the game. This means that you can use jagged pieces of glass, sharpened sticks, surgery utensils, backpacks, anything you want to dispense sweet justice on the abominable Necromorphs that plague the Sprawl!

If there is anything to not like about the game, it is the Collector's Edition. Stay far away from it! The regular game is just fine, if not better (as far as the $/fun ratio is concerned!) Also, if you buy the game used, EA goes the let's-treat-this-console-game-like-a-PC-game by forcing you to purchase an online code just so you can play online with our friends! What is this all about? bad job EA! That is so 90s EA and not cool! Also, the game is very "very" punishing so if you are new to the whole survival-horror genre or just about any type of video game-style playing, then I would recommend the Casual mode. It's awesome because Dead Space 2 allows you to replay the game with all your previous boosts, perks, stats and weapons so replay-value is totally boosted to the x10 level. Go ahead and play on easy the first time around just to get the story. I know I did! Also, beating the two hardest difficulty modes also garners unique achievements and I know I love getting those rare achievements so this is a total bonus!

But uh, for those of you who like/need a number-based rating: 4.5/5.

I am a huge fan of the original Dead Space, it being the first game I bought for the Xbox 360 and the one I have gone back to constantly, and my hopes were suitably high for the sequel. The first game was a chilling at atmospheric game that was part Aliens and part Resident Evil, and Dead Space 2 retains the looks and feel while providing some marked improvements that fans of the original will love.

Set three years after the events of the first Dead Space, the main protagonist Isaac is confined to the mental ward of a hospital, suffering from dementia and haunting visions of his dead girlfriend, who comes to him in creepy flashbacks and cut scenes early in the game. The first acts of the game are rather hazy, as Isaac is suddenly freed from the hospital during an invasion of the Necromorphs from the first game, and when he escapes with his life and begins to make his way through the chaos that surrounds him. After being eased into the game through some expository dialogue, you don the space suit and obtain the weapons and then the real fun starts. The first thing that is noticeable from the start is that Isaac is more fleshed out as a character, having full dialogue and an intriguing back story. The secondary characters, some looking to help and others looking to harm him, are equally compelling and add a depth to the story that felt absent in the first game. The frightening Necromorphs are more aggressive than ever in Dead Space 2, and you will spend a good part of the game fighting them off along with a host of other nightmarish creatures. The key to survival is aiming at their limbs, and this leads to some tense firefights where you are surrounded by enemies and aiming becomes a frantic and sometimes frustrating endeavor. The weapons we know and love form the first game have also returned, including the Plasma Cutter, the Pulse Rifle, and my favorite, the Line Gun.

Dead Space 2 is every bit as creepy and atmospheric as the first game, but you will immediately notice that they have increased the gore and the frequency of the "jump" moments. Like any good horror movie, you will find yourself walking into a dark and eerily silent room, knowing that something is going to jump out at you. The graphics and sound of the first game set a gold standard for survival horror games and they are equally stellar here. Adding to the atmosphere are more varied locales, including hospital rooms, a concourse and, most creepy of all, children's bedrooms with bloody handprints on the wall. This adds up to an experience that feels fresher than the original Dead Space and you get less bored of travelling through space station areas that all look the same after a while. The gameplay is as tight as the original, with responsive controls and meaty weapons are are a pleasure to eviscerate enemies with. That I have noticed an improvement on are the controls in the Zero-Gravity areas, which were cumbersome in the first game but feel better here. Returning are your abilities with Stasis, which allows you to slow down enemies and grab far away objects. Using this skill is a life-saver, especially in the more hectic fights later in the game.

The other notable improvement is the online multiplayer, which consists of two teams of four people, one side being the soldiers and the other being the creatures found in the single-player campaign. The leveling up works like most other competitive online games; you earn points by getting as many kills, as few deaths, and assisting your teammates when they are overpowered. The points from levelling up allow you to upgrade equipment, armour and abilities and it works well for the most part. The only drawbacks are the high learning curve, especially when playing as a creature, and the lackluster performance of your weapons and stasis in the beginning. Some of my friends have complained about the connection issues with the servers and horrible lag, but I have yet to experience this myself. It's fast, frantic, and yes, a little frustrating. However, I look at the multiplayer as a bonus since I bought this for the campaign.

Overall, Dead Space 2 is a sequel that keeps the strengths of the original game while making some improvements that will please fans who are looking for something new. The single-player campaign is very solid and will keep you busy for 10 to 12 hours, depending on the difficulty chosen, and the multiplayer should satisfy your competitive streak once you get past the learning curve. I purchased the Xbox 360 version of the game, but the Playstation 3 version comes with Dead Space: Extraction, an on-rails shooters previously exclusive to the Wii, but I own this already so it didn't make a difference to me. Whatever version you choose, Dead Space 2 is a winner and is one of the first great games of 2011.

I'll be blunt, my biggest critiques of Dead Space 2 are the ones that I had with Dead Space leading me to believe the problem may be endemic with the whole series: lack of innovation with story and game mechanics. It's still Resident Evil 4 in space and the development team has done nothing bring originality beyond adding more weapons (which unless the player makes a conscious choice to pick and invest heavily in they probably won't be used, unless the player decides to have repeated playthroughs) and foes to cut up. I sincerely hope there is more originality in story and play styles in the next installment. However everything else, the voice work is excellent and the monsters and weapons are all still fun as hell to play around with (the ripper never gets old, ever and I admire the cojones for adding children enemies) and a real focus on item management keeps the game interesting and playable enough that I do not regret my purchase in the slightest.

This game, I'd have to say is probably the best sequal of any game yet. Actually, it's the best game ever. When i first heard about it, I was kindof skeptical about it since the lead producers of Dead Space 1 left and are now working on the new Call of Duty. I played Dead Space 1 almost religiously. I got all of the achivements for it, and i have to say that I'm going to get all of them for this game. The game is awesome. It's like 20 out of 10 awesome. There is nothing reallyw wrong with the game but I noticed that the game reveals the contents way faster than Dead Space 1. Ex: you get the plasma cutter, TK, and Stasis all in the first chapter. And the various necromorphs are revealed alot faster two. I would also like to say that, yes the game does have a video about dead space 1, but if you havent, beat Dead Space 1 first. It makes the game 10x better. And something else id like to mention that *Spoiler* the monster that regenerates his arms, like the one in dead space 1, i was hoping that you would need some sort of strategical way to kill him. But you never do. *end*

This time around the fighting pads are much more well made. The D-Pad is much more reinforced and will last much much longer. The buttons come out faster and the bumpers haven't gotten stuck on me yet. It has the shape as the originals and still feels conferrable. The art work is great on all of the character choices, especially the T.Hawk design (hints why I got it). Overall, if you don't have a arcade stick or you wanna play Street Fighter in a new way, give these pads a try, they are pretty cool.

Having put in 35 innings of "work" with MLB 2K13 and time skimming through Association and MyPlayer modes there's really no reason to dig any deeper into the game. Conjecture that it would be 2K12 with a roster update and only the absolutely necessary changes like the Astros to the AL and new schedule was in fact on the mark and as it turns out generous. It's a product that on its own is certainly not 2K9 levels of bad, it's okay for those who don't care all that much about baseball or haven't played recent iterations of the series, but represents a year that was not utilized to improve it yet the price remains the same.

2K Sports has essentially insulted consumers by failing to offer anything of worth with MLB 2K13 vs 2K12 and instead marketing the Perfect Game Contest as a distraction. In past years the contest has been propped up alongside the changes but nothing accompanies it this time around. There are no distinguishing differences in the gameplay or presentation and the primary modes appear to be exactly the same. Though it has been assumed to be the case the reason why the company failed to highlight improvements in 2K13 turned out to be due to the lack of any being present. Even worse, the feature set has been reduced, as Online League functionality has been removed. That's right, Online Leagues have been stripped out.

On the plus side of things cosmetic changes have been implemented. The Astros have their new uniforms and Safeco Field has its new outfield dimensions and video screen. The correct schedule appears to be in place within Association/MyPlayer modes. Outside of those type of elements though one would be hard pressed to point out anything different from 2K12. The menus and interfaces are the same, no work has been done to the dated graphics including the jagged shadows and ugly player faces, and the player pictures are outdated even for someone like Ichrio who has been with his new team since last season. Poor Yoenis Cespedes is still stuck with his cyberface from last year. The pitcher-hitter battle remains strong but only because that was already a positive in 2K12.

There are the off-putting animation speed inconsistencies often seen in pitching and catcher throwing motions and then oddities like (see Pastapadre Youtube page for videos). Of course none of it is surprising as the same problems were seen in 2K12. The throw meter takes some getting used to again as the "green" area to hit can be tough to judge in a split-second and missing (even going soft thinking it's safe) usually results in an error.

In a full season sim within Association mode the Reds came out with the most wins (99), Jose Bautista led the league in home runs (54) followed closely by Curtis Granderson (53), Bautista won AL MVP, Aaron Hill won NL MVP, and the respective Cy Young winners were Vance Worley and Dan Haren. The AL West had all teams but the Astros over .500 and even they won 79 games. The Playoffs in the AL were comprised of the Mariners and Angels (play-in) along with the Rangers, Twins, and Rays. In the NL it was the Brewers and Diamondbacks (play-in) plus the Reds, Rockies, and Braves. The Braves would go on to win the World Series in six games over the Rays.

Commentary, what has been the strength of the series, is largely recycled. There are a few throwaway lines in about a team's performance last season or for the players who had high profile 2012 campaigns like Mike Trout or Bryce Harper, but otherwise there isn't much new. Even the Astros' move to the AL wasn't touched upon at all in the multiple contests I had them involved in with the hopes of hearing something about it.

There is also no reason to expect post-release support of any significance. If there is a patch it will have to wait until after the Perfect Game Contest period as was the case last year. MLB Today Season mode never even worked properly in 2K12 no reason to think it will here. Support was dropped around midseason for MLB Today period. Occasional roster updates could be all that's ultimately delivered post-release.

The MLB 2K series still presents decent fun factor but the swindle 2K is trying to pull by putting practically the same game on the market for a second straight year minus an important feature can't be overlooked...particularly when factoring in the $60 sticker price. Criticize any other league licensed product on the major consoles all you want but no other has ever attempted to release with zero gameplay enhancements or changes to primary modes and nothing additional for the feature set. If MLB and 2K had any thoughts of sticking together into the next generation of consoles this game should completely bury that possibility. The league should be embarrassed and 2K has shown no pride in the franchise and no ambition to continue it.

I originally rated this game at 3 stars which I now changed to 4 stars. Everything I say in the rest of the review applies, but the thing I realized is since the release date I have played no other game besides this. I'm truly addicted to this game. Iv played already a ton of games in my franchise mode, and to be honest I'm enjoying it. I know it's exactly the same as 2k12, but I loved 2k12. I was hoping for 2k13 to have many new additions and revamped graphics but that's not the case, so I got passed that and just started to enjoy what it is, not what it's not. It's not a great looking game, there may be bugs and exactly the same as 2k12, but we don't have the option to play the show so this is the hand we were dealt. If your a true baseball fan, just get the game.

After putting much time into 2k13 I can truly say it is exactly the same as 2k12. Not just similar, with a few upgrades I mean exact. The only new additions in this years copy is new music and roster updates. To prove how exact of a copy this is all players that have a new team this season from free agency or traded all are wearing there old teams hat in there picture. Ichrio Suzuki who has been a Yankee for a while now, still has a mariners hat on. But it's not just him, many other players have old hats on.

To me that's just inexcusable and plain lazy,

No new game modes or any new gameplay upgrades as well, from all the games I played the players faces all look exact as well from last year.

Also 100% of the achievements are the same as 2k12. All 50 of them are the same.

I can't say enough bad about this game. My son and I played 2K10 quite a lot. Head to head and taking players through the minors. We finally thought that it was time to update get new rookies in the rosters and update uniforms. We also expected some gameplay and graphical improvements as well. Nothing.

The animations are worse than 2k10. The different animation sequences batter leaving the box and running full steam do not connect well at all. There's a huge jerk between the two. This seems like just a visual problem, however if you tell a batter to go to the next base and then immediately tell him to go back, the jerky animations mean you could probably go and get something from the fridge before he actually goes back (and usually gets tagged out). Fielders suffer the same problem. An infielder running to get a grounder will come to a complete stop and hesitates before he starts his throwing motion costs double-plays half the time.

The batting interface seems worse for some reason over 2k10. After a week I still can get the timing I cannot tell the difference between a foul to the left, to the right, or a base hit up the middle. I cannot try to hit to the right side (behind the runner) or try to pull a fly ball like I was able in 2k10.

A real waste of time and cause of aggravation.

Even the graphics aren't updated. While other games are going to photo faces, you can't make the faces of players look like anyone you know and the models don't look any better than 2K10.

Don't waste your money on this game. Buy 2k10 or maybe 11 or else find a different game altogether.

Thankfully my friend let me borrow his MLB 2k13 copy for a weekend. I haven't purchased a 2k baseball game since 2011, and any other sports game I buy is either on sale or used for less than $25. NO WAY I'm ever paying $60 full price for any sports game with all the mediocre sports games being released for xbox360 nowadays.

I just don't get it...these companies have an entire year to build on last years game and make a better product, and yet they can't do it! OR they choose not to do it...I mean what the hell is going on!?!

I am an Avid fan of One Piece, and when i saw this game, i was so excited to play it. Through a friend, i finally got to.

Pros:

-It's very addicting and handles very well.

-The graphics are AMAZING. better than I expected!

-It's not cheaply made. Quality is outstanding, and i couldn't recommend it enough.

Cons:

-They tried to cram over 400 + episodes worth of story into the game, making it way longer than it probably needed to be.

You could spend up to an hour on just one level of the game, due to its enemy count, long boss fights, and Quick time events.

Not all the Arcs and saga's are represented. This could have been avoided if they shortened it immensely. Maybe have it start in the First saga, and end in the Skypia Arc. (Fans will know what that means) Then make another lasting till the Whitebeard War. (Where this game originally ended)

That way, all the arcs are visited, and everything is cleaner instead of compressed.

All in all, its almost a perfect One Piece game. Add the missing levels, and maybe a jump button in the sequal, and it will be perfect.

One of the few times I actually went and bought an import where I have no idea what the dialogue/menus are about. After a lot of trial and error, figured out how to navigate the menus and finally got into the game. I don't understand what's being said, but at least the gist of the action is self explanatory. This is certainly a game for fans of One Piece. But if you actually want to understand what was said, I hear rumors this is being ported to the US as a PSN download so wait till summer 2013.

One Piece: Kaizoku Musou is awesome! You get three different modes of play: Main Log, Challenge, and Another Log. The Main Log (Luffy's storyline) and Challenge (battle mode) are pretty self-explanatory, but the Another Log mode is really cool because you get to through another character's storyline and some of them are exclusive to the game. The graphics are amazing and you get to do all these moves straight out of the manga. Although there aren't any English subtitles, the game is not hard to navigate, especially for a One Piece fan that is familiar with the story as I am! The only downside I can think of is that my girlfriend gets dizzy watching me play it because of all the crazy camerawork. All in all, hours and hours of endless enjoyment, definitely would recommend.

Love this controller. I got one for myself, and my roommate later bought one because she loved mine so much. Only thing wrong with my roommates controller is the ABXY buttons werent correctly inserted, but this wasn't an issue for me since I know how to change the buttons myself.

Great Product. Works as describes. Very easy to turn mods on and off. If you play MW3 this is the controller for you. I could not get it to work for Black Ops. There is only one thing im very disappointed with. I'm almost 100% sure the shell is fake and the controller is not snug. I had to take it apart and put it back together again to try and make it fit better but parts where still hanging over each other. Still, its not the biggest deal and the controller is still, one of the best modded controllers, I have ever used. I would also just like to include the AXYB buttons are spray painted black.

I love the God of War series, and its one of my all time favorite game series, alongside such other series like BioShock, Half-Life, It's easily one of the best action franchises to ever grace the medium of Video Games, and it's no secret that all Sony game systems benefit from having God of War on it. The highlights of the PSP's game library were definitely the two God of War games, so naturally I was very excited when I heard the two GoW games were being ported over the PS3. I've played both games on the PSP before, but ever since my aging PSP died on me, I was definitely bummed I would never be playing the two God of War PSP games. Rest assured, two of the PSP games are now available on the PS3, and they are better than ever.

First off, the games themselves. What exactly do these two new games offer for God of War fans? Are they worth the journey? The short answer is YES!!! (OK, that's pretty obvious, but read on anyway). (Minor Spoilers Ahead).

Both games have their own original plots, with CoO being a prequel to the whole series, and Ghost of Sparta being set after the second game. Both stories are well written and bring out entirely new elements and subtexts, filling out plenty of back story and developing the characters, especially Kratos. In particular, Ghost of Sparta does an amazing job at really setting the tone for the rest of series. More members of Kratos family appear, and it's the suffering and the negativity about that is caused by the gods, that really give an understanding of the agonizing ten years he spent serving the gods. It actually doesn't QUITE explain why Kratos went on a killing rampage in the beginning of the second game (it's actually because he was betrayed, in game, in the cell phone game God of War:Betrayal), but it really lingers on Kratos own suffering and more intimate feelings, really showing you as to WHY he's so pissed off. Chains of Olympus is an excellent prequel as well, highlighting the seemingly never-ending quest of serving the gods. At the end, it all comes to a deadly conclusion that would ultimately lead to the most harrowing journeys in video game history (at least for Kratos). In particular, the revelation near the end of the game is the light bulb moment if you always wondered why Kratos made the ultimate sacrifice at the very end of the series.

The games basically follow the same GoW formula, as you will perform combat, solve puzzles, execute quick-time events, and collecting red orbs in order to level up and gain new abilities. The same action-based, combo-stringing, combat is here and works as great as before. You will still gain access to awesome magic and weapons, including my favorite new weapon, the Arms of Sparta. You will be able to combine and use a single combat spear with a heavy duty shield. As a matter of fact, the two games contain some of my favorite magic and weapons. I also love the Djinn, which let's you summon a fire genie that pounds flames into the ground, and The Horn of Boreas let's you wield the name sake, with the ability to freeze enemies in a whirlwind of Ice and wind. However, I'll let you explore all of the new abilities yourself. The controls have also, actually, improved a bit thanks to the PS3 controller. The addition of rumble is a nice feature, and the the DualShock 3's extra buttons provide for easier controls as well (rolling with the analog stick, for one), since the PSP didn't have as many buttons.

Most of all though, those who enjoy the game series for it's awesome level design, excellent stories, great writing, emotional content, and the GoW experience will love these games like the rest of the series. None of the games feel redundant; they are always fresh in it's execution of its world. From exploring the monumental Helios temple, exploring the Pits of Tartarus from the very deep, being present during the seize of the city of Attica, and watching the world crumble beneath a stone pillar, I've always played these games knowing exactly why I treat this game series the ways fantasy fans do The Lord of the Rings. You will not regret playing these games, as you will gain more insight into the unique GoW series, understand the characters even more, and the God of War universe itself. After all, one main reason I play these games is because you love the art of the game, and all of the games here would be utterly indispensable to the series in my eyes. They are just that important to the series.

As you all wanted to know though, God of War Collection, besides giving a wider audience a chance to play these two games, is known for it's "remastered graphics". The team responsible for the previous collection did an excellent job with remastering the visuals for the first collection, as it was one of the big selling points of the first collection. For those of you unfamiliar with the process, the HD remastering adds better texture, speeding up the frame-rate to a constant 60fps, and cleaning up the rough edges and shoddy textures of many PS2 games. It really cleans them up and makes them look more vibrant enough they can hold their own against today's visuals. While these PSP games obviously show some graphics shortcomings due to the fact these are PSP games, they still look excellent. In particular, I personally think Ghost of Sparta looks terrific. Ready at Dawn used excellent graphic technique, and it honestly is the second best-looking GoW game, with the third with the lead. Colors look amazing, the liquid and particle textures looks ultra clean and dense, and the backdrops are stunning and slick. Chains of Olympus is a bit more rough around the edges, but it still looks great and much of the rough edges have been cleaned up.

Perhaps the best upgrade, however, is the HD experience. This may just be a selling point for those who still are able to play their PSP versions. While it's plenty possible to connect your PSP to your PS3, the image will not be very pretty, and it's definitely not as easy and you might end up spending around the same amount of money to do so. But with this collection, the crisp High Definition picture, the pounding, visceral, earth-shaking sound design, all work together and can truly floor your home theater system and your own God of War experience. This is what the medium/art game gamer mindset LIVES for! Besides, these games SCREAM epic treatment. You don't play GoW on a little portable handheld that only has a 4.3 inch screen. You play it with a TV, a home theater system. With astounding sound design, larger than life, awe-inspiring visuals, these are the types of games you buy a Home Theater system for. Thanks to this collection, you can finally translate the PSP games to the area it's truly known for.

On top of that, God of War Origins also features a lofty new addition for people who really enjoy such a thing (nothing wrong with that): 3-D. Alright, fine, I admit it. I did not get any time to check out the 3-D first person. I don't own a 3-D TV, and I agree with such figures as Roger Ebert that 3-D is largely unnecessary and a complete gimmick. However, I can definitely understand why people like the effects, and from what I heard, the 3-D works fine and really helps amplify many effects such as fog and other material. However, I'm definitely hear to tell you that It really shouldn't detract you either way from purchasing this, as 3-D or not, it should not disappoint. If you like it, great. If you don't, also great. It's not a make or break decision in buying the collection, as the main feature here are the games themselves.

As far as bonus features go, you can also unlock trophies. watch documentaries, and spend some time with the DLC. I didn't find the bonus features to be a "must-buy factor", the games included are, but they are fun and interesting. The DLC is definitely interesting and fun, and most GoW fans will definitely find some use and value in it. The Forest of the Forgotten is a brand new arena challenge similar to previous ones, and you will get all new objectives to solve in the vein of Super Smash Brother's challenges, like most of the challenges. The Kratos Legionnaire is basically a costume where you play with a very Golden Spartan soldier, complete with awesome helmet. The roundtable video is where all five creators of the series all meet together and discuss the franchise together. You also get Trophies, which are mostly just virtual bragging rights and a way to compare each others skills. Well, skills predetermined by the software company, but hey. Personally, I'm not a big fan of trophy achievements (I find them trivial and I never go out of my way to achieve them, I just achieve them unintentionally), but some people like them and they aren't too difficult to unlock, as you get them for activities such as beating the game on higher difficulty levels, using items for a particular amount of time, or achieving/completing/coming to certain plot points.

I easily give this five stars for what it is, as all God of War fans who haven't played one of the games here would be fooling themselves if they didn't own this one. The games here are essential to the series, and if you don't have these games, then you should buy this collection as soon as possible. It's true that, if you own the PSP versions, the value of this collection may not be AS obvious (although I don't think many would regret it, given that you can play these PSP games on an awesome Home Theater System). For everyone else, you will be spending your hard earned money very well. I can't think of a single God of War game not worth playing, and this collection is just as essential as God Of War 3 is. The games are, in many ways, more intimate, more personal, and emotionally satisfying, especially Ghost of Sparta, which has one of the best story lines in the series. Really, I'm running out of things to say here, just get it, and you will not be disappointed.

I don't own a PSP, so this is the first time I've played these 2 games.

I'll keep it short.

Pros:

Well, it's 2 God of War games in 1 disc, it's fun, and it's in HD. That pretty much sums it up.

The games are kinda short and have little less contents than their 3 bigger brothers, but not by much, so I don't count this as a con. You could finish both games, on Normal difficulty setting, within 10-12 hours. Not too short, in my opinion.

Cons:

The puzzles can be unclear and get you stuck at times, so are the things you need to do in some boss fights.

The worst enemy is the camera. It's not so bad on Normal, but it will get you killed a lot on God Mode, and also be a part that makes you stuck on puzzles.

Chains of Olympus look just passable. They didn't redo any models or textures. It looks like a Playstation 1.8 game with a better rendering and anti-alias. The shadow casting doesn't look right in places.

Ghost of Sparta, on the other hand, looks quite a lot better.

In conclusion:

If you have never played these 2 games before, go for it. These are bite-sized God of War, but it's definitely a mouthful bite.

If you have never played any God of War before, then what have you been waiting for?

God Mode in Ghost of Sparta would probably make you want to stab your finger through your ear, and gouge your brain out, Kratos style.

I got stuck in one fight for 4 and a half hours, and I haven't been able to get pass it. Playing God Mode and Challenge Mode in both games could extend the play time up to 20 hours or more. Ghost's God Mode is harder than Normal Mode in Ninja Gaiden Sigma. Chains' God Mode is hard, but not as much.

Anyway, that's up to your skills. So if you're a casual gamer, like me, be warned. The frustration could easily turn a normal guy into The Hulk.

So, if you love to unlock everything, you'll get your money's worth. Though you may need some anger management sessions later.

What else to say? The GoW series is a piece of true beauty, and FINALLY a 3D experience with Kratos. I see that people here have given a lot of decent reviews about this collection, so needless for me to say much about the gameplay itself. I see no one here has written anything about the 3D effect yet, so I would like to share some 3D experiences about these two games. I have played all GoW games on PS3 except for the ghost sparta. I own a Samsung D7000 series 46'' 3DTV, I got this collection on the second day it came out and have gotten platinum trophy on the Chain of Olympus, but I havent touched the ghost of sparta neither have I played it on the PSP. First of all, these two games are in full HD (1980*1080p), but that is if you play it WITHOUT 3D! When you enable the 3D the graphic degrades a bit into 1280*720 and the game becomes just a bit laggy compare to gameplays without 3D. However, the experience is completely different when you do play it in 3D, the depth the 3D offers is simply astonishing. It is like you are looking out of the window and watching Kratos smashing those monsters! The effect has to be seen to be believed. I also find something that is really interesting and that is, since the 3D adds depth to the graphic, so when Kratos happens to have to jump from a lower level ground to a higher level with a big gap in between (scenes like you will fall and die if you fail the jump), the 3D creates an illusion in which the gap seems a lot wider than it is in 2D, and as a result of that, I fail those jumps so many times simply because the gaps just seem impossible to jump over, and that makes me always look around for props to aid my jumps when in fact it is not necessary. Epic fails on me lol. And also, the 3D in these two games only applies to the gameplay, the in-game movies are still 2D. Anyway, off to my Ghost of Sparta!!!

Origins Collection includes both Chains of Olympus, a prequel to the series, and Ghost of Sparta, which takes place between the first and second games of the series.

If you already own Chains of Olympus, then there really isn't much new to look at here. The graphics look clean, the frame rate is constant and smooth, but the fact of the matter is that the new HD look brings out the simple look of the environments. It is worth the price of admission if this is your first time playing it, and while it still remains my second favorite God of War game, the fact of the matter is that right now it is the worst looking game of the saga. Again, not bad by itself, but if you are just buying this collection for the updated graphics and already own Chains of Olympus, then you won't find anything new here.

Ghost of Sparta, on the other hand... wow. Truth be told, it is my least favorite God of War game, followed closely by the second one, but it still is a fun game. And here is where it shines the most, the game looks amazing, with updated lightning effects, a few retouches on Kratos' model and an outstanding improvement to the sound quality. Even if you already own Ghost of Sparta (I do), the collection is worth it alone for how good this one looks. To put it simply, it looks better than God of War 2.

So, is this worth it? Well if this is your first time playing both titles, you'll find that they are both excellent action games. The gameplay and controls are tight, and while the level design and story in Ghost of Sparta feels like a mess, it is not a bad game. Chains of Olympus has better story and dialogue, and while it doesn't look as good as Ghost of Sparta, it looks clean enough and the framerate is a solid 60 per second in both titles.

If you already own both titles (I do) but got money and time to spare, I recommend it. If this is your first time then, what are you waiting for!

I have to write this review because it deserved to be written and published for worldwide audience. I have played all God of War games except Ghost of Sparta since I no longer own a PSP. At the time when GOS came out I wanted to own and play the game but was thinking it is not worth forking out $$$ for a new PSP just to play the game. Contrary some might say it is worth the price and I would agree on that now after just having finish playing GOS on my PS3!

GOS is Grand and Epic in its entirety. For a PSP game to have such an over the top and jaw dropping visuals and game play for GOS is incredible. I felt like I was playing GOW4! Remastered for HD what else GOW fans want? 2 magnificent games on 1 blu ray and for 40 bucks! Thats a steal.

Chains of Olympus is another stellar game. I used to play this on PSP beating all difficulty levels and I must say that I had a blast! I had hope I would be able to play it on the big screen. And now? Big screen with HD visuals it is. I will enjoy this game like I used to enjoyed it. No complaints. Full of praise for Origins Collection.

For those who have not played the PSP games, I highly recommend you to get it. Your experience with GOW games will never be the same. Stunningly done for PS3 owners and available for worldwide GOW fans. GOW is the only series that is available on 1 exclusive platform PS3. 5 GOW games for the PS3.
