DoDonPachi Daifukkatsu 1.5 is a port of the shmup arcade game by developer CAVE. Note that this release works on Japanese consoles. If you want to play it on a North American or PAL console, see DoDonPachi Resurrection which is the localized version. I use a Japanese 360 to play this disc.
Daifukkatsu is the most colorful CAVE shmup to date, full of bright eye-popping visuals and over the top bullet patterns. It also has some really cool enemy designs, such as boss fights that transform from space ships into robots in smooth transitions. It's absolutely gorgeous in motion.
This is also the most forgiving game in the DonPachi series. Players who were frustrated with the difficulty of previous DonPachi games will find this one more palatable. But don't worry, scoring is as hardcore as ever, and even the best players will be hard pressed to maximize their scoring potential. Sure, I got the one-credit clear, but I'm not going to pretend my score isn't rubbish.
Several game modes are included. Out of the box, you get the original arcade version and two arrange modes (Arrange A and B). Two more arrange modes are available via DLC, version 1.51 (a DLC card included with first-print copies) and Black Label (standard DLC). These arrange modes drastically change up the game and scoring mechanics; at times they barely seem like the same game. Definitely give them all a try at least once.
The only arrange not playable on this disc is the second Black Label Arrange, or "Ketsupachi" as it's commonly known due to the Ketsui cubes. If you want that game mode you'll have to buy the Black Label disc. I like Ketsupatchi, but whether it's worth buying a whole second disc for is questionable.
The only real downside to this game is the cover art, or rather, the lack of cover art. I wasn't sure I even bought a video game when it first arrived. Given the quality contents though, I can forgive this.
In conclusion, this is a great game for both shmup newbies and veterans alike. If you're at all interested in shmups, this is an excellent package.

Discount Wildfire WIRELESS 360 Controller inc Rapid Turbo Fire - WHITE
The controller is really good for most games i play but i can never play with my friend on singleplayer games because thr controller is too big and the analog sticks just dont move right.. But other than that ive gotten all of my pistols on mosts of my games maxxed out because of he controller :)
My biggest flaw with this controller is that the turbo fire function did not work at all. It worked for about 20 minutes until it suddenly stopped working and i am very sure im going to return it.
Overrall its just a very bad controller in my opinion, just stick with the microsoft controller or a better third party controller.

So I bought thid controller and let me tell you that it feels great in the hands and from a design stand point its ok. You need to press quite hard to make it work, and the other design flaw is the analog sticks and the problem witht the analog sticks is that when you try to run is games like Call of duty, you simply cant becuase you cant click the analog stick in any direction. My biggest flaw with this controller is that the turbo fire function did not work at all. It worked for about 20 minutes until it suddenly stopped working and i am very sure im going to return it.

2-port AC Adapter Power Supply Convert Cable (Black) Review
I bought a pair of these to add on to the two old XBOX 360 power supplies I had laying around. I wanted to be able to move my new slim from TV to TV like i use to with my old white xbox. After I first installed them the Xbox power supply, did not power on at all and I thought maybe the negative reviews were correct. After messing with them a little bit I realized that they were not fully pressed onto the old power supply. You need to use a decent amount of force to get them on and they will click when they are full inserted. After they were put on correctly they have worked great. I have them on the original large power supply and the smaller power supply they were using before the slim came out, they both work perfectly. Hope this helps someone as I was some what worried about them with all the negative reviews.
I had a first gen XBox 360 up until about 2 weeks ago, when it finally died on me. I had used a repair it yourself kit to buy me an extra few weeks, but ultimately the RROD claimed another victim.
When I got my nex XBox 360 4th Slim, I was disheartened to find out that the power adapters were incompatible. I have two gaming stations set up in my house, so I can watch Netflix or game wherever I want. I didn't want to buy another brick power supply, so I got this instead.
It has worked for two weeks now, flawlessly and on the first try. It was a great deal. It is unfortunate that the other reviewer had a bad experience, because I haven't. I don't usually write reviews, but I was so impressed by this little number that I felt I should add my 2 cents. It's worth the five bucks.

Ok, so I bought a 360 slim, got it home, hooked it up... the system itself is super silent, you can only hear it from like a foot away... The power brick however... well you know what that sounds like or you wouldn't be reading this right now. lol It seems odd that Microsoft designed a silent system with a noise maker power brick attached to it. Anyways, I just want you to know that I don't think I have ever written a review about anything before and actually turned on the computer just to write this because this adapter is amazing! I seriously can't hear a thing! (using in conjunction with the Jasper 150w power brick) I didn't have the TV turned on when i first powered it up for the first time with the old silent adapter and the thing was so quiet I thought I broke the system because I didn't hear anything... To my astonishment its actually that quiet... Lets see... I could compare the quietness to an iPod when you turn it on... seriously quiet... actually you wouldn't even know it was on if the TV wasn't on. The power brick that came with the slim was a "rev B" (can be found 3rd line down in the text on the back of the power brick, Rev B is known for their noise) Brick that came with system = 8/10 for noise ... Old power brick and adapter 0.01/10 for noise. Total night and day difference. Ok, now I'm actually going to go play a game now where I don't have to drown out the power brick with the volume. Review 10/10.Best Deals for 2-port AC Adapter Power Supply Convert Cable (Black)
First Review on Amazon to warn other buyers. I tried this on my xbox slim and have not been able to turn it on since with the original power cable or the converter. I am in the process of sending in my xbox for repair now. Beware, just buy a new power supply. That's what I will end up doing now. Horrible product.Honest reviews on 2-port AC Adapter Power Supply Convert Cable (Black)

It works exactly as it should. After my new slim power supply started overheating I bought this. Now after a week without Netflix on the big screen, I'm back to watching TEDtalks. If any problems come up in the future I'll be sure to come back and give an update.Saturday, December 27, 2014
Buy PS3 Gran Turismo 5 XL Edition
Customer Ratings:
List Price: $19.99
Sale Price: $18.99
Today's Bonus: 5% Off

I bought the XL edition, having owned both GT3 and GT4 and having never played GT5. The game is as fun and challenging as I expected and there is a huge variety of tracks and cars and events. The game itself is good and the only complaint that I have would be the load times, which are frequent and long enough to really distract from the game itself.
As far as the XL edition specifically is concerned, it probably wasn't the best choice for me. It was nice that all of the game updates were included etc etc and most of the XL content is great but the fact that so many good cars were included right at the beginning of the game actually kind of ruined the game for me. I instantly took the Red Bull prototype car (by far the fastest in the game and worth about 20 million credits) and began destroying races in it. I quickly collected millions of dollars, which allowed me to purchase awesome cars for the races which the redbull car couldn't enter.
I say this kind of ruined the game because Gran Turismo, at it's core, has always derived it's pleasure from pain. The pain of being dominated in races because you have neither enough credits nor enough talent to win this race or that. This experience in frustration always challenged me to rise above and save money to upgrade my car and do license tests to improve my skills etc. until I finally, after pouring so much into the game, had the satisfaction of winning that event. Having really fast cars for free has taken most of that experience away. Races are easy when your car can lap the fastest opponent (despite crashing several times). This reduces the need for driving skill and really lowers the overall satisfaction of the game. So, what I've had to do is start trying to find the worst car that I can for each race or series and try to win with that. It brings some of the satisfaction back, but the experience still lacks the underdog feeling that I always got from starting out on the rock bottom and clawing my way to the top.
Overall, the game is great despite inordinately long load times, but if you are like me and always liked GT because of the work involved in mastering it, the XL edition might not be the best choice.
When the game was released, basically you either won by a mile or you lost very badly. There was little in between. The seasonal events have really improved on this. Rewarding you for using underpowered cars. which is important because there's a whole lot of cars that you wouldn't want to use in gran turismo because they are so low powered.
When they released it, it was obvious they were going for "we'll do all the cars on the planet!!" and included vans and all kind of stuff. Then very quickly budget and timne constraints caught up with them. So you have a strange selection. Luckily the high powered cars you select are all fantastic. This is because every car handles differently on the steering wheel. Some of my favorites are the ferari 458, the maserati gran turismo, mini cooper, the mercedes 300sl, and number 1 is the tvr speed 6. My word.
Every car handles differently and handles beautifully. The game has that magic especially if you play on low spec'd sport tires. Struggling to maintain control of your car you have to carefully maintain throttle and braking taking into account slopes and elevations on a track, slippery sections. Incredible. You steer into a tough curve and let go of the throttle, big mistake, the physics kick in and your car understeers. Your car over steers twisting the steering wheel out of your hands, big mistake, grab onto that sucker and counter steer yanking the car into the right position! You went over a slight hill and the rear wheel lost traction, you felt it in the steering wheel (how?!?)
The premium cars are gorgeous and handle fantastic. The standard cars finally have a (sort of) interior which made me race in them. They also handled quite well. The premium cars are where it's at. Simply gorgeous. Racing in the interior cockpit is really something. I wish I had a 3dtv , because I can already tell how amazing it's going to be.
This game is sheer magic. But, and here's the big deal, be prepared to spend a lot (and I mean a lot!) of time before it becomes fun. It really becomes fun when you have most of the cars and are good enough when you race the cars for fun to try them out, not when you are trying to win the races for money. So I would say at least 1 to two weeks before the game gets fun. Damage doesn't turn on until you get to aroudn level 30 which is sad because it's great and reflects in the steering wheel. It's a hard game and the seasonal events are way it's at. Enjoy it. Get yourself a steering wheel. You will feel everything from bumps to traction loss to the steering wheel reacting realistically. I drove this game and I got better at driving my real car. The traction was that good!
Most games I buy, I barely play past a cursory playthrough. I haven't put this one down. All the other ones, NFS shift, Split second, etc are distant seconds to this gem. The realism makes you almost grimace when you play arcade racers. Only Dirt could hold a candle to the physics, and even then just barely :). If you are willing to invest the time and money this game is exactly what you need.
There are A spec races and B spec races. The A spec races YOU are actually the one racing the car, while the B spec races, you are actually the CREW CHIEF and are instructing your driver how to race. YOU DON'T RACE B SPEC RACES!!! In the B spec races (which is half the game) you are literally telling your driver to increase their pace, decrease their pace, maintain their pace, pit, pass the car in front, or nothing at all. That's it!!! For half the game you are literally watching your driver race.
With the cars included in the DLC, you can choose the Red Bull Prototype (which is the best car in the game at 1600+HP), start a B spec race, and then.....go do laundry, vacuum, do the dishes, dust, clean your car, eat something, take the dog out, run to the store, do whatever you want to do, and then come back 20/30/40 minutes later to watch your driver finish the race and come in first. Then repeat for the next race. That is honestly how I completed the B spec races. I actually didn't mind the B spec races, because after completing these races, you do win money and cars that you can use for the A spec races (which are the races that you actually drive the cars and not your driver). Plus, I got work done around the house which pleased my wife. So I was killing two birds with one stone! LOL!
Something else I didn't care for, was that in previous GT games, you could sell the cars you win. In GT 5, I would guess maybe 75%-80% of the cars I won I could not sell? It says it will remove it from my garage, but I cannot sell it. I don't know if removing from my garage permanently removes it from my game, but I'd rather keep it than find out I lost it. Plus, because of all of the DLC cars in my garage, I have completed probably 60%-70% of this game, and only purchased about 10 cars. I have about 90-100 cars in my garage, and I do have about 7 million dollars burning a hole in my GT wallet, but there really hasn't been a need to buy better cars. You either get the best cars with the DLC, or wind up winning them.
Overall, for $20, I have certainly been entertained for hours upon hours, and it is worth it. I think this game could have and should have been soo much better based on the previous GT games. But, if you have enjoyed the past GT games, I would have to recommend this one especially at this price. It's not a bad game, and there are hours of gameplay, but it could've been better. I'm not disappointed with GT 5 XL, and I will buy GT 6. But for $20, why not!?!?!

This game was built for a steering wheel! The sense of driving is incredible. A whole lot of subtle details are included. The patches that are in this go a long way to make the game feel more complete than it used to. The graphics have far less glitches. The sense of speed is spot on. They've improved the driving on the different sets of tires. Each one presents its challenges. And the biggest thing that made the game are the seasonal events (you have to have an internet connection). When the game was released, basically you either won by a mile or you lost very badly. This is an awesome game, even without the xl edition. When you get the XL edition and you get all the updates, go to the store and enter your redeem code. When you do, it ill only show 3 things. I saw this and thought"this isn't what I bought!" Do not fear! install those three things and load up the game. From the main menu you should be able to go to the far right and hit Downloadable Content. Click on that and all of your promised stuff will be there, including the Red Bull X2011 prototype.Honest reviews on PS3 Gran Turismo 5 XL Edition

I have played every Gran Turismo game, and GT 5 XL Edition should've been better than it is. My favorite was GT 3. The menus in GT 5 are just flat out ridiculous to navigate, and it's like one big jumbled mess. The graphics are nice and I can't complain there. The download times took me about 2 hours to complete. Yes, it's a long time, but it wasn't a big deal to me. It also seems like there were more races/courses in the previous GT games than this one. It just feels like there is alot missing with GT 5 and nothing ever makes you say "wow". Everything you do seems to take longer than it should or that it was easier in the past GT games. Plus, I have 20/15 vision and a 50" plasma TV, and the font is really small and hard to read. There are A spec races and B spec races. Mad Catz Rock Band 3 Guitar Bundle - Red Hot Chili Peppers Bonus Review
For $44.61 you get a wireless guitar, which usually goes for $60, and the Rock Band 3 game, which prices for around $30. If you already have the RB3 game, then you're in luck because you can sell it for around $30 and you basically pay only $15 for the guitar. If you don't have the RB3 game, then you're still in a win-win situation. Other online stores sell this bundle at its retail price, so Amazon is great for offering such an amazing price.
As for the actual guitar, it works great and is tons of fun to play. I usually play the drums, although I've been slowly saving up for more instruments. This is my third instrument (the other being the microphone), and it's great to just sit on my bed and rock out with the guitar. The drums can be a bit more involved, especially if you are sick, so the guitar is nice to relax with. Oddly, the box inside the box art says it's a Rock Band 2 guitar, but I checked the picture differences between the RB2 and RB3 guitar, and I definitely got the RB3 guitar, so you should too.
Otherwise, great deal, but if you're not sure, look around for more deals. Plenty of post-Christmas Rock Band bundles are out there, so check them out.
That being said, my guitar strum bar doesn't function, my other guitar's star power tilty thingy doesn't work anymore. The drums are held together by hot glue and the hopes and dreams of a dying child I had imprisoned at an occult funeral I once attended. I needed something new.
Seeing as how guitar hero controllers are like 70 dollars a piece, I decided to break down and go for some official Rock Band gear to go with my cruddy broken stuff. This was a no brainier, it was in my price range, had Amazon Prime shipping, and came with Rock Band 3! A game I had wanted for SO LONG! So I bought it.
This is such a nice guitar! The buttons push down with a satisfying feeling. You can feel the switch depress. This feels so much nicer than guitar hero's mushy fret keys. Also, this has auto calibration which works on most systems. A couple times I've had to set Rock Band up with some wack surround sound system that isn't set up correctly and that resulted in me having to calibrate it manually, but in most cases it works great!
The major downside is to this guitar has the Rock Band mushy strum bar. Coming from guitar hero I'm used to a satisfying click to let me know when the button is depressed. Lining these clicks up with the beat of the song sets the tempo and without this I sucked. It takes some getting used to, but after a while I don't notice it as much.
Rock Band 3 is awesome. The menu system has been super upgraded and it has a real focus on multiplayer mode now. People can pop in and out of a song at will and controllers can come in and out, all without having to pause the game! The game has a more refined focus on the gameplay as opposed to the score, which is great! I played this game to have a good time with my friends, not to have some pompous Simon-Cowell-esque game tell me we sucked. Also there are the pro instruments! I bought the pro keys controller and let me tell you it is a LOT harder and a LOT more realistic and as a result it is a LOT more fun! Especially with the games newly found focus on making things easier and more fun! I love it.
----Conclusion--------------------------------------------
So, what I'm saying is, if you have the patience to get to this point in the review, BUY IT! If you want Rock Band 3, which you can't find in stores anymore because apparently it's been discontinued, BUY IT! If you need a new guitar because you broke yours trying to spin it around your body but the strap came off and you really just threw it against the wall behind you but nobody saw but everyone heard so you had to make up a story about you knocking something off of something else to appease them, BUY IT! If you also like the Red Hot Chili Peppers and also need rock band and a new guitar BUY IT! It's worth it, and you'll love it, and it'll love you and everything will be awesome....

Many moons ago when the earth was young, a small 16 year old me asked for Guitar Hero 4 for Christmas. I loved that game, I played it a lot and when I got rock band 1 and 2 I loved them even more. I played them all the time, me and my friends beat the living crap out of my peripherals until they all barely functioned. I've thrown my guitars at walls, both accidentally and on purpose. I've broken and resoldered every single drum pad multiple times. I've yanked my Xbox off many a shelf while trying to do a drunken mic stand flip, destroying several discs in the process. These controllers treated me extremely well over these long years. That being said, my guitar strum bar doesn't function, my other guitar's star power tilty thingy doesn't work anymore.

Best Xbox 360 8' Component A/V Cable Deals
Good video and stereo audio quality. Nice cables. The color coding and labels on the plugs could be better it's difficult to tell which plug is which. This cable fits snugly in both my Xbox 360 and TV, provides great picture quality and is plenty long for most applications at 8'. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is that the 5 cables on the TV end do not line up in the same order as the 5 inputs on the back of the TV itself, I assume this should be pretty universal and not just an issue with my TV. It does not cause any issues but is merely a minor annoyance.

This is the wii version gone portable and really it makes more sense as a hand held game. It's straightforward room to room game play ,beating on hoards of foes and frequent save points really makes it a pick up and play game. Combat relies on buttons for attacks/blocking while touch screen dose your special powers. The analog stick moves Thor as well as helps to chain together combos. Combat is fast paced simple and really fun to do. The higher your combo count the more powerful Thor gets. You get experience points for every enemy that you can use to unlock health upgrades, upgrade your power meter, and slots for the perks you find. Levels are nice and long and offer bonuses for destroying everything like art and perks that power up thor during certain conditions. To be honest the combat can get a little repetitive as the hoards just keep coming and even unlocking moves it can get a bit stale so it's best played in the right doses. Luckily big bosses battles really mix up the combat and theres even flying levels that play out like a rail shooter. The game has a good amount of content levels are nice and long and theres about 15 of them and offers replayabilty as you can play on higher difficulty with your unlocked upgrades as well as challenge arenas. Finally the 3D is a bit all over the place. it's not on during the comic book like cut scenes and is hardly noticeable in some points. Other times it look good, real time cut scenes has things popping out, and adds depth to the areas as well has things flying out at you at points. over aal Thor is a solid action game and i recommend it to any 3Ds fan who wants a naction game with good content.
Visually the game doesn't improve on the Wii version, in fact it looks slightly better because the screen is smaller, but the resolution obviously takes a hit. The 3D helps a bit, but there isn't a lot of it. In some areas it is hardly noticeable and in some of the pre-scripted game sequences it looks really well. The cut scenes, artwork, menus and the cartoon dissapointingly don't have any 3D at all, which is a bit of a let down and cheap. The advantage of the 3 D not being pronounced, is that you can crank it all the way up without issues, except during some boss battle sequences and in small (cramped) spaces where there is a fair amount of clipping and headache inducing focussing issues.
The sounds are fine, especially with headphones. The two main characters are voiced by the actors that also were in the movie, so that is good.
There is a fair bit of content, moves and abilities to unlock, but even then it isn't a long game and also not a very hard game. Other reviewers have said that it can be finished in 4 hours. That is probably true if you don't care for the unlockables (moves, upgrades and artwork). Trying to collect everything will take considerably longer, even though even at hard mode the game doesn't get difficult until the final stages. It is probably possible to get everything unlocked within 8-10 hours, which is really short as there is no multi-player and also no brawl type of game play. wireless play is mentioned in the manual, but that doesn't give any details on how to actually select it. The manual clearly was a rush job, with only one page of control information and that's it! After beating the game the ragnarok difficulty is unlocked, but finishing the game at that difficulty is just for bragging rights (if you are into that sort of thing). There is a bunch of cartoon episodes that are gradually unlocked while playing the game. The same as for the Wii version. It would have been extremely nice if these were given the 3D treatment, but they are just normal 2D instead. Still that's a nice addition.
The touch screen is hardly used except for displaying what is enabled and for unleashing certain special powers. That sounds okay, except that some of the buttons are tiny and that all other menus are strictly no touching.
This is a lazy port, if you own the Wii version, don't bother it is the same, but less easy to play. The controls are a bit of a let down, not much thought was spared on how to make use of some of the strength of the 3DS. Essentially it is a cheap cash-in. Still it is very satisfying and fun to play even though it is very easy and tempting to resort to button mashing. Sega obviously are aware that this game is months too late and have decided to sell it for 30 USD, look a bit harder and wait perhaps a bit longer and you can probably pick it up for 20. That is about as much as it is worth, for a couple of hours mindless brawling.
This is a GREAT comic book character, turned into a movie, and then a tie-in-game to boot. It is the best one out of any of the console releases. This particular version of THOR was made by a different developer and it is such a shame PS3 and XBOX 360 didn't use this developers. I am not going to go too much into the game details because it has already been said in previous reviews, but essentially this game is a hack and slash action/adventure game. It is very similar to God of War, Ghostrider, and Resident Evil. The player controls THOR, battles an onslaught of enemies, progresses, and then has a boss battle. It is nothing groundbreaking, but it works well here. It didn't work as well on the PS3/XBOX 360 versions. The player also gets to do some cool moves with the Wii controller that didn't bother me and controls are smooth and precise. It can get a bit repetitive at times because there is no variety with the minions that Thor fights. They are all the same character design, but that is to be expected. This game throws in a mixture of everything and makes it work. I wish the 3DS visuals were a bit more stunning because I've seen gorgeous games like in Mario 3DS and Zelda Orcarina of Time, so the 3DS is capable of it. The visuals are fine for me because game play matters more, but it is very PS2-esque and the cinematic scenes are just comic book images with spoken dialogue. Overall, this is a must have title and the price makes it all the more reason to get it. The Wii and Nintendo 3DS versions are the only ones worth getting. This is a direct port of the Nintendo Wii version.

As other reviewers have pointed out, this is a direct port of the Wii version of the game, the one that got higher scores than the Xbox and PS3 versions. Therefore having a Wii game on a handheld has a high coolness factor. The game experience is simple/dumb smashing and bashing with little strategy required. There is a nice set of different moves that can be unlocked, but the basic moves work in most cases as well or even better than the fancy moves you can unlock by spending the in game earned tokens. The special moves are cool, but pulling them off requires a high amount of dexterity in the limited space available on the 3DS. The results of having to press certain shoulder + face bottom combos is cramp.Visually the game doesn't improve on the Wii version, in fact it looks slightly better because the screen is smaller, but the resolution obviously takes a hit. Cheap Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee
Finally, a game that does the king of the monsters justice! Godzilla Destroy All Monsters Melee is a blast to play, pun intended.
I was impressed with the 20 arena locations available to fight in...all of which have a DAY or NIGHT option. Slightly less impressive is the number of monsters to choose from; eleven. That's acceptable, but I would have preferred more. Not all of Godzilla's movie adversaries are in the game...only the best ones.
A larger problem is the story. The adventure mode is the only source of a plot to this game, and it is lacking. There's just not enough of it in Godzilla to make the story anywhere close to compelling. A deeper plot would have put some well-deserved meat on the bones of the game.
But gamers aren't going to buy this game for it's plot. They're going to buy it for it's fantastic-looking action. Have I mentioned the visuals yet? They are SWEET. Destroying cities has never looked so convincing. The animation is topnotch and the graphics are realistic. I'd say these monsters look even better in the game than they did in the movies!
And the sound...! That's where the Godzilla authenticity really shines through. Every noise the monsters make has been faithfully reproduced from the original Godzilla movies. It's not just perfect, it's nostalgic. I particularly like the sound of the beasts' feet as they walk. The use of brief but heavy bass is a great touch.
You know what? Playing Godzilla DAMM makes me want to watch the original films, as dated as they are. A game that can do that has something going for it.
I do not exagerrate. This game alone is worth the cost of a Nintendo Gamecube, or Xbox or whatever. The sheer amount of raw, unadulterated FUN that this game packs is unprecedented.
The game can be played in several modes:
ADVENTURE (1-Player)
SURVIVAL (1-Player)
VERSUS (1-2 Players)
MELEE (2-4 Players)
DESTRUCTION (2-4 Players)
TEAM BATTLE (2-4 Players)
The game is plenty fun on its own, but really shines in multiplayer. There's nothing quite like getting a handful of friends together to totally trash a city and each other. This game is basically a wrestling game using giant monsters. There's nothing quite as satisfying as picking up a building, hurling it through the air, having it whack your opponent in the head like a sack of bricks, and sending him to the ground.
Adventure Mode (the single-player mode) is very fun. It is hard at first, but gets better and better. Every time you beat it, you unlock a monster. When you beat it with the new monster, you unlock another monster, and so on and so forth.
The graphics in the game are fantastic. The small details of cars and trucks exploding at the monsters' feet are wonderful. The game also features a lot of nice touches, such as planes and helicopters shooting missles at the monsters, tanks shooting freeze weapons, and UFO's flying through the air. The humans usually aim for whichever monster is doing the most city destruction.
Each monster in the game has its own strenths, weaknesses, and quirks. And I've been playing this game for over a year and still haven't found all the quirks.
1. GODZILLA 90's One of the best monsters overall. Average speed, good strength, good range, and the longest-range breath weapon.
2. GODZILLA 2000 Not a lot of difference over the other Godzilla, if you ask me. Looks a little cooler.
3. ANGUIRUS Cool little spiky guy who runs on all fours and can roll around. Very fast, good brawler. Can dodge breath weapons well, but has poor range for his own breath weapon.
4. MEGALON Has a few cool tricks up his sleeve. A very good fighter. Not the best ranged weapons, but can dig which more than makes up for it.
5. GIGAN Is fast and agile. Can teleport. Also has very long range eye-beam weapon. Not the greatest brawler, but not bad either.
6. RODAN Rodan is my personal favorite. Can fly, swooping back and forth all over the flippin' map. Can do some great air attacks. Is very fast and regenerates energy quickly.
7. DESTROYAH Extremely good brawler. Very strong. (You'd best get away :) His breath weapon has poor range.
8. KING GHIDORAH Can fly a bit. Has good range for his weapon. Is a good brawler, but is a bit slow.
9. MECHA-KING GHIDORAH Same as King Ghidorah, but also features stun missles. Don't forget to use 'em!
10. MECHA-GODZILLA Awesome monster. Can fly. Has powerful ranged attacks and is a very powerful brawler. Only has 2 slight weaknesses. One is that his fighting range is not always the greatest (Godzilla's tail is longer, for instance.) Another is that he is very reliant on energy. It regenerates quickly, but if you are ever totally out, in a pinch you may find yourself sunk.
11. ??? (Mystery Monster)
The game also features:
Mothra: The "Mothra Airstrike!" Powerup is quite cool. Mothra comes in and starts zapping you or your opponent. Some reviewers have complained that you can't play as Mothra. I think this complaint is unjustified. This is a wrestling melee game. Mothra doesn't even have any arms and legs, for crying out loud! Any attempt to make her a playable character sounds pretty ill-advised to me. Sorry, but I just can't see her laying the smack down and doing The People's Eyebrow.
Hedorah The Smog Monster: This guy does make an appearance. He floats through the air at random occasionally and, for lack of a better word, passes gas above the heads of the monsters. If a monster touches the gas, his energy regeneration is worsened.
Besides the monsters, the game has other unlockables such as arenas featuring Monster Island and the Alien Mothership, as well as a huge artwork image Gallery. (Sorry folks, but in spite of what some have said there is no "Godzilla 80's" to unlock. I've read every FAQ on the net, and there is no "Godzilla 80's" cheat.)
There are some special moves that you should know about, as well as a few tips:
1. Megalon's digging. This is a very powerful trick. The goal of this is to use the digging to tunnel right under an opponent, then hit A+B to pick him up and throw him. To dig, hit A+Y. That will send you underground.
2. Gigan's teleporting. To teleport behind your opponent, hit L+R together. Alternatively, you can hit A+Y.
3. Rodan's air swoop. There is a nice aerial attack that Rodan can do. Fly over an opponent, and then hit X while you are still in the air. You will do a flip and slam him.
4. Grabbing tanks and trains. Don't forget to pick them up and throw them.
5. Leg Whack. If you've been knocked down, don't forget to hit X to slam into your opponent as you get up. You will be surprised at how often your friends will fall for this dirty little trick.
6. Survival Mode. The best arena for survival mode is London. The reason is because it has so much stuff to throw, and you will need it all to survive if the arena is not set to regenerate. You can throw Big Ben at your opponent, and that side has lots of walls to throw. On the other side, there is a train station with lots of train cars to throw.
I only have 3 complaints about this game:
1. Jet Jaguar is not in it. (He is in Godzilla vs. Megalon the best Godzilla movie ever).
2. Ebirah is not in it. (The giant lobster from Godzilla vs. The Sea Monster).
3. There is no AI available to fight alongside you in Team Battles. There are codes for this on the Xbox version, but not on the Gamecube. It would have been really nice to have an AI partner, since my so-called "friends" tend to all gang up on me every time we play this game :)

Now to vent a little:
Some reviewer, "Paul Thiem", called this game "flawed" and gave it 1 Star. 1 Freakin' Star! Give me a break.
He complained about the camera angle, which is pretty trite. I'm getting sick of people complaining about camera angles in every other review they give. It doesn't matter how good the game is, SOMEBODY has to complain about the camera angle. Well let me just say that the camera angle in this game is WORKS GREAT and you've got NOTHING TO COMPLAIN ABOUT. Get a life, people.
He also complains about transparent buildings. But if the buildings weren't transparent when you were right up beside them, you wouldn't be able to see your monster. Don't you know he would be complaining if that were the case? For sure. You can't have it both ways, pal.
Then he complains about Adventure mode sometimes not always putting you in the most advantageous of starting positions. This just sounds like plain old whining to me.
Then he whines that Godzilla is a "Priveleged Monster" who won't let you pick him up. Well, give me a break! So the computer AI is pretty darn smart. Well isn't that we all WANT in a game?
He complains that the Gallery doesn't do anything and you can't view any of the pictures. That's because you haven't unlocked them yet!!! You are not yet worthy of viewing them. And yes, this IS mentioned in the instruction manual where it says to be sure to collect the Atari icons hidden in the game to unlock special features. I've unlocked about half of the Gallery items myself. It requires patience and persistence, but not even that much. It's called "Replay Value."
He complains that you can't save in the middle of adventure mode. Huh? A good player can beat Adventure Mode in less than half an hour. Why would somebody ever need to save in the middle? Unless they are just lousy at the game, don't want to learn it, and need a save crutch to get by.
He then complains that you can't see the high scores menu. Just go to "Options" and select the high scores menu. Was that really so difficult? I can't believe that because this guy can't figure out how to get to the high scores menu, he wants to give this game 1 star.
Apparently it is true that you can't please everybody. Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee is one of the best games, if not the best game ever. At least I know that 99% of the other reviewers here appreciate how truly great this game is! This game is LOTS of fun and has a VERY HIGH replay value, especially in multiplayer games. Highly Recommended.
I happen to like this game for certain qualities that you may or may not enjoy. It is similar to Smash Brothers, which is another game I like. However, the melee mode action in Smash Bros is usually a little too fast for me to follow... so when I play it with friends I usually get...kicked, which looses its charm after about a thousand times. But the action in Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters is a little slower. Although it may be a drawback in the opinion of some fighting game gurus, the slower action forces players to rely more on strategy and actually gives me the chance to be on par with my friends in melee mode. It's the perfect fighting game to play with your friends if you are not already a fighting game expert or if you're just an old timer like me. At any rate, it really is more appropriate that these classic giant monsters are more lumbering than the Smash Bros characters.
The animation is great, the models look good and the sound is awesome. The camera movement manages to be exciting without making me feel like I am going to puke. Some of the simulations (like the smoke) and visuals are little cheesy and the plot is appropriately ridiculous, but overall it is technically satisfactory. There are several exciting play details added, like the Army trying to shoot you and your monster friends with freeze ray cannons and Mothra making a cameo as the fickle finger of fate. The monsters have unique and interesting moves... and there is just something about dropkicking Megalon through the highrise district that satisfies the soul. I am only sorry that Jet Jaguar was not included so I could shove an oil tanker into his face.
There are eleven monsters in all and 2 are modifications of a previous two (For example, MechaGhidora is simply an upgrade of King Ghidora). However, there are so many stages to fight in, and the game is so darn fun that the number of monsters you can select really doesn't ruin this game.
There aren't many flaws to this game, however the few that exist revolve around the city gameplay. Such as the fact that the buildings in the game are too damn hard to destroy. I smacked a small building with 4 fierce attacks before it finally went down. Your projectile attacks don't help much either; even a fully charged blast at one building will only make it shake. I really wished that your projectiles would blow apart those buildings like they did in the movies! There should be huge rising pillars of smoke and chunks of rubble coming out from under King Ghidora's gravity beams and Gojira's orange flame. All these flaws kind of make Destruction Mode less fun. The speed of the game is not really a problem (I personally thought the game was too fast for giant monsters). If only these few flaws were fixed, this game would be PERFECT!
A note on the storylne of this game. Some people have stated that the storyline is unoriginal. It's SUPPOSED TO BE UNORIGINAL! Hasn't anybody seen the beginning cutscene of Adventure mode? It's comedic! The aliens from the story are really just combinations of various aliens from previous Godzilla films. Listen to the way they talk! It's like you're fighting the X-ians from "Godzilla vs. The Astro Monster" except you don't have Glenn and Fuji to help you. The initial story about the aliens controlling monsters is really the storyline of the original "Destroy All Monsters" movie. The plot about Mechagodzilla being the "ultimate weapon" is obviously from the original "Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla". So people have no reason to insult the story, because it was written for Godzilla fans, and it's just a parody, nothing more. If you're a person who really loves a good plot, then this game is not for you.
Overall, this game is a Godzilla fan's dream come true. Highly recommended for those who love 3D fighting/wrestling, like impressive creature designs, and of course love Godzilla.
I was impressed with the 20 arena locations available to fight in...all of which have a DAY or NIGHT option. Slightly less impressive is the number of monsters to choose from; eleven.
----------------
Now to vent a little:
Best Deals for Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee
Although I am a long time Godzilla fan, his past videogames have left much to be desired. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I first played this game at a friend's house. It actually made me run out and buy a Game Cube! Smashing, destroying, punching, kicking, spitting fire and shooting lasers out of your face....this is what Godzilla is all about, my friends! And this is what Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee delivers. It's sort of like violent breakdancing... a symphony of destruction where you are the conductor and other monsters are your percussive instruments.I happen to like this game for certain qualities that you may or may not enjoy.
Honest reviews on Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee
Oops. Wrong franchise. No matter. There is a certain guilty pleasure associated with the horribly wonderful Godzilla movies. It's those utterly unbelievable, but truly cool monsters--whipping tails, atomic bad breath, electric radiation beams, and all. This game captures that spirit in a highly realistic, totally engaging atmosphere. These monsters--and there are many to play--can pick up buildings, trains, and trucks to throw at each other, engage in aerial spin manuevers, go beserk, and essentially recreate the powers they possess in the movies and more. Sure, the fighting action is relatively simple to master, with no fancy finishing moves or unintelligibly difficult button and trigger combinations that give other fighting games unplumbed depth. But that's not what this game is all about. You learn the moves quickly, with a few great tricks that are moderately difficult, but ultimately manageable. The simply controls enhance the combat between the giants. This is as good a video game as I've played in years, and I highly recommend it.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee
Excellent game. Superb graphics! Finally an AI that you can grapple with (sometimes you will win and sometimes you won't)! The monsters are extremely well detailed and all contain their trademark attacks. Even though this game was made in America, the programmers studied the movies real well.

Review of Audio Video RCA Composite AV Video Game Selector Switch for XBox
Customer Ratings:
List Price: $12.99

This simple AV selector is ideal for people using multiple game consoles (especially for TV's with only one RCA input). The selector is practical and is a great value at $10. It was nice that it includes an approx. 6ft RCA AV cable to run from the switch to the TV (or receiver). No more hassle with switching cables behind the TV.
I did not contact anyone as the product arrived in an un-padded envelope through the US mail that was partially ripped open. The combination Cardboard and Vac-U-Form packaging had double the Chinese characters as there were English letters. I guess I received my $10.00 lesson for the year...
I find it ridiculous that the cheapness of this product nearly cost us a TV, or the expense of taking it somewhere and having someone else deal with it. A real piece of crap.

The product that I received is similar to what is pictured, but there are differences. The biggest difference is the Input Selector Switch on the unit that I received is Yellow not Gray as pictured. This selector switch only has ~about 1/4 inch of travel where one is supposed know where to stop moving the switch in order to make contact to the desired inputs. The "A" connection is the hardest to make contact. The product can be made to work if you just use two inputs and not the full complement of three inputs.I did not contact anyone as the product arrived in an un-padded envelope through the US mail that was partially ripped open. I haven't even made it to the testing stage to see if all 3 inputs work. There are several reviews saying 1 or 2 or even all 3 inputs don't work so we'll see. I'm doubtful. The RCA cables provided with the product are the thinnest and cheapest feeling I've ever seen. I plugged the video cable into the back of the TV without applying much force at all. Didn't move it perpendicular to the jack in the slighest. The end of the pin snapped off in the jack, creating a very frustrating situation with the TV's future at risk. Thankfully they don't call me MacGyver for nothing. I had to heat up the end of a needle while holding it with pliers, push the red hot needle tip into the plastic middle of the stuck pin and wait for it to cool and then pull it out with said pliers.I find it ridiculous that the cheapness of this product nearly cost us a TV, or the expense of taking it somewhere and having someone else deal with it. A real piece of crap.

I was impressed with this product, it's size will fit in your hand and takes no electric to use. I use this to switch between my three game consoles so I can have all three connected to my home theater system. The size makes it easy to place on a table where the game consoles are, which it takes up very little space. I recommend it for anyone with multiple gaming systems. My 9yr old can even use it.Wednesday, July 23, 2014
Fortune Street Review

It seems too many people can't do a little research on the games they buy or even bother to look at the back of the packaging either. Fortune Street is the newest game on the Nintendo Wii featuring characters from the Super Mario games and Dragon Quest series coming together to play a board game very much in style to Monopoly. If you can't stand Monopoly or slower, strategic board games, this is not going to be the game for you especially if you only want quick play sessions.
Yes, there is an easier mode where they take away the stock market trading but again, this is a board game in play. It will take you a while to finish a game. Don't really expect fast play sessions here. If you enjoy Monopoly and understand this is not trying to be Mario Party, you will enjoy and have a lot of fun with this game!
As for an age group, I would say this game is more for the older crowds, if your child has a short attention span or doesn't like waiting, family game nights are going to be hard to all stay together in one room without the little ones wanting to leave very quickly. For an actual age, I would say maybe seven or eight and up here? It is hard to say, remember, think Monopoly in play style, if your child can't keep occupied playing the board game version, they are not going to stay interested in this video game version even though Mario and friends are up on the screen. Just a small "warning" for the parents out there of younger children who may look at Mario on the cover and think "perfect!"
This is a really great game if you enjoy the Monopoly style of play (Yes, I have said this many times, so please no Mario Party thoughts!) and wanting to experience a fun take on that same style of gameplay, give Fortune Street a chance, you will have a lot of fun but you have to be patient with this title as it plays a little slower compared to other Mario spin-off titles.
The gameplay is very easy to get into and understand. In fact, it offers a tutorial mode, which takes approximately 20-30 minutes to complete, to help ease you into the gameplay. You first start off rolling to determine which player goes first. Each turn the player rolls the dice and moves across the game-board the specified amount of spaces. It is just like monopoly where you are able to purchase property as you land on them. In the same way, if you land on a player's property, you must shop there and spend a specified amount of money. If you really want to, you have the choice to force a buyout of the player's property; however, it would cost 10x the value of the property. Each turn allows players to sell stocks, property, and etc if needed. Also, if the player passes the bank (original starting location) again with all suits collected, he/she gets a raise, containing a large sum of money. Players are able to buy stocks at this point as well. To increase stock value, the player can invest in his/her own property by expanding it, which in turn also raises the shop's cost if anyone lands on the property. Stocks generally decrease as more people sell stock for a particular district. The goal of the game is to earn as much money/assets as possible, achieving the targeted net worth. The player who reaches the targeted net worth will win the game upon passing the bank (where you start in the beginning). Among these neat elements that combine stock market simulations and monopoly, there are some fun mini-games, such as slime racing and arcade spaces. There are also venture cards which you draw upon landing on the venture spaces, which could work in your favor or your opponent's favor.
Not interested in playing the stock market? There is the option to turn this feature off, known as "Easy Rules." Whenever you are interested in spicing things up a bit, you can always switch back to "Standard Rules," which includes the stock market feature. Also, the game supports up to four players on one Wii, as well as online play. The game features many different modes, menus, and options, such as: Tour mode, Free play mode, Nintendo Wi-Fi mode, changing room menu, shops menu, display case menu, as well as a configuration menu.
Tour Mode: Tour mode features a campaign containing a series of levels to complete. Each campaign has a unique theme. For example, the first campaign features a Dragon Quest theme, containing levels related to Dragon Quest games. The second one features a Mario theme, and so on.
Free Play Mode: As for Free Play mode, this allows players to customize a game as they see fit, such as offering the player to choose which board/map, which play-style, and which (if any) NPC characters he/she wishes to play with. This mode is good for anyone who just wants to start a quick game with friends, customizing some aspects of the game.
Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection Mode: If you are unable to get a few friends over to play this game, luckily there is the option to play online. The experience was a very pleasant experience, as I have not experienced any lag or slow-down of any kind. What's nice about the Wi-Fi mode is, not only does it offer the ability to connect and play with added friends, it offers the ability to play with random people WITHOUT friends codes. The player is given the choice of either playing with national players or playing with international players.
Changing Room Menu: This menu allows the player to customize and change the clothes on his/her Mii, as well as the actions (emoticons) that it is capable of performing. Emoticons are especially useful when playing with others online as there is no keyboard or voice support, so it is a nice little way to communicate.
Shops Menu: The player can exchange stamps, which are earned from playing the game, to obtain new clothes and/or emoticon actions for his/her Mii.
Display Case: Now I really like this feature, as I am a huge fan of achievements/trophies. Trophies in this game are obtained by meeting certain conditions. Some are very easy, while others can be very difficult. Not only can you look at trophies here, but you are also able to look at game statistics, as well as read information about game characters.
I'd also like to mention that it is recommended to play through the various game modes, especially tour mode, because there are many unlockable Dragon Quest & Mario characters and levels that can be obtained.
In conclusion, Fortune Street is an incredibly fun Monopoly/Stock Simulation hybrid that has a touch of Mario and Dragon Quest themes to add charm to these elements. While there's plenty to do--unlocking characters, unlocking trophies, unlocking levels, and etcetera--players will get the most out of the game playing with friends and family, as it is a highly fun and engaging game. If you love Monopoly, but also love Mario and Dragon Quest characters, by all means, get this game!
Parents shouldn't worry about their children getting online to play this one, because the only interaction the players have is through a set of emoticons. (smiley faces) Send them a thumbs up when they make a mistake that works in your favor.
Bottom line: This game offers limitless replay value, because every game session is different. Buy it.
That said, I read about it first and knew what was getting, and as an adult board gamer, this game is FANTASTIC. I have played about 20 games with friends and against computer players. I've won 55% of them, according to the stats. There is very deep strategy. Some games I win easily, some I am scrambling to figure out what stocks to buy to catch up. Your strategy each game will be different depending on what properties you get early in the game, and what happens when the luck portion of the game kicks in. I love it. I have been way ahead and lost, and vice versa. The computer does not cheat. I have never felt like it got a roll it needed more than the 1-7 chance it is (yes 7, many boards have a 7 sided die).
Turn off the chatter for the computer players, and the game takes about 2 3 hours, though I won one in 1 hour by bankrupting a player lots of fun. The computer players have a letter grade, and use different strategies dependidng on how high, or smart, their letter is. But even letter D computer players have a chance of winning if it gets lucky in the early game.
There is a strategy for every situation. I just won a game where I only had 3 properties, and the computer players had 8 10 each. How is that? I smartly invested in the right properties, and tiptoed around the board avoiding paying big sales.
To me, this game is the perfect combination of startegy and luck. If this sound fun, GET THIS GAME!
Graphics 4.0
The graphics in this game are on par with most recent Wii releases. They look pretty rough when compared to the HD capabilities of the PS3 and 360 but the Wii is no graphical powerhouse. Ultimately, they remind me of the other Mario-themed games that have been released on Wii (Mario Party 8, Mario Kart, etc). They do the job but they aren't going to make anyone's jaw drop. The Dragon Quest characters look good enough and if you've played those games, you'll probably get a kick out of seeing them done up in 3D.
Sound 4.5
The music and sound effects are all pulled directly from Mario and Dragon Quest games. Depending on whether you're using a Mario or DQ character, you'll hear different sounds (ie. When a DQ character levels up in the game, the fanfare from the series plays). For anyone who is a fan of either series, the sound will definitely bring back some good memories. In fact, there were several Mario songs that I hadn't heard since the NES days. Also, the background music corresponds to whatever level you're playing on. These may seem like small things but they add a great deal to the overall feel of the game.
Gameplay 4.5
Many of the negative reviews that I've seen have brought up the idea that this game is confusing. It's not. Sure, it takes a little bit of time to let all of the rules sink in but it's only slightly more complicated than Monopoly. In addition to this, there is both an easy (this mode leaves off building districts and buying/selling stock) and standard mode. Everyone starts off on a 'Bank' space. You roll the dice by hitting '2' or shaking the Wiimote. Then, you can pick which direction you want to move and make your way down a path. If you land on a property space, you can buy the property (just like Monopoly). Now, every time someone lands on your property, you get some money. You can increase the value of each property by investing money in it or by buying other properties in the same district (districts are very similar to the different colored spaces on a Monopoly board). The goal of the game is to be the first to collect a predetermined amount of money and return to the bank. As you go around the board, there are chance spaces and short single-player minigames that you can take part in. You can also buy and sell stock in the various districts. Once you own stock, you'll receive an extra dividend every time someone lands on a property there, even if you don't own it. All of this is done through menus that are fairly simple. Over all, the game is easy to control and if you invest some time in learning how it all works, you won't be disappointed. There are two slight problems with this game. It starts out kind of slow but if you can get through the first 10 or so minutes, it gets much better. Finally, if you play the single player mode, you might get annoyed with the constant talking between the CPU players.
Multiplayer 5.0
This game's multiplayer mode is a ton of fun. It is a real blast to play if you can get three friends together and you can even play over Wi-Fi. Nintendo did this one right.
Replay 5.0
This game has a ton of replay value. There are a number of unlockable levels, characters, and clothing/accessories for your Mii. If you unlock everything, it will take hours and hours and hours.
Overall, this game is a fantastic investment! I'd highly recommend spending more than 10-15 minutes with it though. Take the time to learn the standard rules and you won't be sorry.

First and foremost, this game is nothing like Mario Party. If you are expecting this game to be anything like Mario Party, you may be disappointed. It, however, is a very fun, unique, and engaging game that combines elements from Monopoly and stock market simulation games--featuring Mario and Dragon Quest characters. It is truly a treat to be able to play this, because, for the last twenty years, previous iterations of this game have been highly revered in Japan only. It is truly a treat that Nintendo has decided to localize this game, so that we, too, can enjoy this unique game. The gameplay is very easy to get into and understand.
Best Deals for Fortune Street
As everyone has said, Fortune Street is not like Mario Party. It is closer to Monopoly, with the added ability to purchase stock in various districts. If you think someone is about to do some major upgrades to their property, make sure you buy some shares beforehand, so you can make money from their work and expenditures. There are bonuses and minigames that add to the fun. I usually get dominated by the computer, but maybe I just need more experience. Online multiplayer is solid, and it is fun to know that you are playing with people from all over the world. (sometimes their name is in Japanese) You can also play with your friends, by trading your friend code. There is a tutorial level that takes about 20-25 minutes to beat, and it teaches you everything. I had no difficulty jumping into the game after playing the tutorial. The levels are a mix of Dragon Quest and Mario environments, divided accordingly. I would recommend the game for anyone eight years old and up, because it does involve a bit of thinking. There is an easier mode for beginners, but I skipped it. I think it removes the districts, so there is no stock option. If you are looking for a new addition to your family game night, this is one worth picking up.Parents shouldn't worry about their children getting online to play this one, because the only interaction the players have is through a set of emoticons. (smiley faces) Send them a thumbs up when they make a mistake that works in your favor.
Bottom line: This game offers limitless replay value, because every game session is different. Buy it.
Honest reviews on Fortune Street
I won't repeat what everyone else said, but instead clarify a few things. This is a fantastic adult game for board game fanatics with graphics designed for children. This game could have been designed without Mario and crew, and used an adult theme, and been sold as a serious board game. It wouldn't have sold as many copies, but it would be more honest not getting the cheap accidental purchases from kids or parents with young kids. Young kids will likely hate this game.

I've been waiting to play an iteration of 'Itadaki Street' (as this series is known in Japan) for several years. A version came out for the Playstation 2 and PSP which starred Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest characters. Then, a version was released for the Nintendo DS. Unfortunately, none of them were localized for the North American audience. Not until now! 'Itadaki Street' has finally made its North American appearance as Fortune Street, a unique game that combines aspects of Monopoly, the stock market, and the Mario and Dragon Quest universes.Graphics 4.0

I purchased this system to replace my ailing XBOX 360 Premium and to get the Kinect along with it. I was skeptical of the Kinect technology at first, but after using it I can safely say that it's fun to use, but it has a few downsides which I'll explain below. Now, I'm going to talk about the three different parts of this bundle separately.
1) The XBox 360 S
Nothing much new here--it's an XBox 360, but smaller. Still, I should mention that, in the short time that I've owned the system, I haven't yet experienced any of the issues that plagued my previous 360 systems, such as lockups and the dreaded red ring of death (which is now a Red Eye of Doom on the XBox 360 S). There are also a few minor differences. The air vent is located on the side (or the top, if you mount it horizontally), the buttons are touch-sensitive and don't have to be pressed in, the system makes pleasant ringtone-like sounds when you turn it on and off or you eject discs, there's no faceplate to change out, the hard drive has plenty of room, and the system has a spiffy, shiny black finish. And of course, it has a specialized port in the back reserved exclusively for the Kinect sensor. There's really not much else to say, and certainly nothing to complain about.
2) The Kinect Sensor
This is probably the most significant part of the review, and for obvious reasons. Microsoft is betting a ton of money that Kinect will take off like a rocket and be supremely popular on the marketplace, but how good is it really? Well, it's a fairly large device for starters, and it's strongly suggested that you not mess with it very much whether it's on or off. The reason for this is that the Kinect has a little motor in it that gives it the ability to tilt and up down, and if the user attempts to tilt it himself he might damage that motor. You should also place it in a stable location, and I certainly wouldn't recommend mounting it on top of your TV unless you have a special mount for it. Finally, make sure your playing area has plenty of space because you're going to need it.
Anyhow, enough of the safety PSA's. How well does it work? Well, the Kinect, from what I've read, basically projects thousands of little infrared dots all over your room, and uses their points of impact along with the camera to determine your position in the room and what you're doing. It usually works fairly well, I found. Characters would follow my own movements (at least to the degree allowed by the game), which was neat to watch, and despite my concerns about the Kinect lagging behind my movements it wasn't really noticeable. There are issues, though. The tracking was not as accurate as it could have been, and with some games I've been having trouble getting the Kinect to accurately interpret my movements. For instance, sometimes on Dance Central I could swear I'm doing a dance move in exactly the same way as the onscreen character, but for some reason the game just doesn't recognize it. Another example would be on Sonic Free Riders, where a certain move called a "Kick-Off," which gives you a temporary boost of speed, seems to go off on its own whether or not I actually wanted it to. It's not as bad as I might be making it sound, though. Most games should work really well with the Kinect.
The Kinect can also be used to navigate the XBox Live menu, but personally, I preferred to just use the controller because it's quicker and easier. Manipulating the menu by gesture is slow, owing to the fact that your hand must hover over your selections for about a second, and even with voice commands you may find that the Kinect doesn't always interpret what you say correctly.
Finally, you might be wondering what kinds of games you can play on this. Well, thus far there's racing games, pet-raising games, exercise games, and mini-game collections (like Kinect Adventures, see below). At this time, however, I'm really wondering if that's all the Kinect is capable of doing. I mean, you stand in front of the sensor, you move your arms and legs around, and that's it. It's not very complicated, but there also isn't a lot you can do with it. Would a hardcore game like God of War or Halo, which require complex commands and a high degree of precision, even be possible with the Kinect? If that doesn't bother you and you aren't interested in those kinds of games anyway, more power to you. You'll likely have a lot of fun with the system in spite of everything, it's great for motivating yourself to exercise.
Oh, and before I end this part of the review, I'll just mention that some future Kinect games may use the Xbox 360 controller, though at this time I have no idea how well that will work.
3) Kinect Adventures
I have to wonder why they didn't pack Kinect Sports in with the Kinect rather than this game. I thought including a sports mini-game compilation was a motion control tradition or something! But seriously, Kinect Adventures is a fun game and it makes for a pretty good tech demo for the Kinect, which is the most you could ask for when it comes to a game like this. Most of the issues with the Kinect that I mentioned earlier don't have much impact on this game, as the body-tracking seems accurate enough to play all of the mini-games without any issues--well, except for one particular game, where I had trouble using my hands to reach out to block some water leaks appearing to either side of me. That's it, though. Aside from that, the biggest problem with Kinect Adventures is probably that it doesn't have very many mini-games on it, and there's only so many times you can play them before you get bored. So, just as a suggestion, if you go to pick up the Kinect or a 360 bundle with the Kinect in it, go pick up at least one other game for the system so that you have more variety.
To wrap things up, if all you want is to play some casual games and you don't want to worry about complex controls, the Kinect is a good choice. The Kinect sensor's pretty intuitive and easy to use and the launch line-up is pretty strong. While it's not anywhere near as accurate as Sony's Move controller, it does do full-body motion control much better and it's probably a better choice for the casual gamer. Now let's just hope Microsoft can follow through on this strong debut and keep putting out quality titles for the Kinect!
What i love so far:
love the new look. my elite was black, but the console was bulky. the new one has a sleek design and is more compact.
The touch sensitive buttons are cool, you don't even have to press.
The power brick is much smaller, and leaves way more room.
The xbox is much more quiet
3 USB hookups is great
250 gig hard drive is all i will ever need.
The kinect is just amazing. works extremely well, recognized my every movement and voice command. the is definitely next gen gaming. Its just awesome. already used video chat, and the camera actually follows you around, whether you go up or down or anywhere. i cannot wait to use it more
I was surprised by how well the Kinect tracked my movements but I'm guessing it varies from game to game. One workout with Your Shape Fitness had my legs burning and that is without using weights.
Honestly, even though I was having fun, I had to stop playing because I was too tuckered out. This is definitely an incentive to get in shape.
We own a Wii, and while it is okay, the level of involvement and engagement just can't compare to the Xbox Kinect. Since there is no remote for Kinect you never have to worry about whether or not the batteries are charged. More importantly the games are definitely more fun and addictive. Get the Xbox and Kinect you'll be glad you did.
Kinect? ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!!!!! I have read countless reviews on Kinect. And the more I read the more leery I was getting about my pre-order. Most of the reviews complained about lag, or the space requirement, or that the games were nothing more than regurgitated Wii games, and how every game title ever developed wasn't re-developed for Kinect on launch day. WTF?
Unplugged the old Xbox360, plugged in the power supply to the new 360, plugged in the HDMI cable (no more adapter required), plugged in the digital audio cable, set the Kinect under my tv, plugged it into the Xbox, turned it on and it's go time. A few minutes of setup was all it took, setting up the wireless connection, entering your Xbox Live info, and a few update downloads. Very painless process.
We moved the coffee table out of the way and moved the couch back a couple of feet. Sorry, if you're living in a $2,000 a month, 400 sq. ft. NY studio, this isn't the game for you. But fortunately for Microsoft, most people think having to use your kitchen sink as your nightstand isn't acceptable living conditions, so I completely dismiss the space requirement "problem". The front of the couch is normally right at 8 feet from the TV, but because two of us were going to be playing, we moved it back a couple of more feet so that we would be standing at the 8 foot mark. It worked perfectly, and actually for some of the games we played we moved as close as maybe 3-4 feet from the TV. So I think you could easily cut the 8 feet down to 6. 6-8 feet is recommended in the documentation.
We played Kinect Adventures first, the game that comes in the box. Wii-like? Yes. Fun? Soooooo much more fun than any Wii game I've played. That Kinect can track your every move -your hands, head, arms, feet, hips, EVERYTHING -is just amazing. No controller can detect whether you're moving side-to-side, or backwards and forwards, or squatting or jumping while at the same time moving your arms. It's just brilliant how well Kinect works.
One game in particular really shows the potential of this thing. You're in an underwater tank and crazy fish keep poking holes in the glass. You have to plug these holes to keep the water from coming in. In some cases I had to use both hands, both feet, and my head to plug all of the holes...yes, all at the same time. The girlfriend and I had a blast with it. The other games were just as fun.
I think Your Shape best highlighted what Kinect is capable of. You are an infrared replication of yourself on the screen. The shape of my body was precise (unfortunately) and it even picked up the logo on the t-shirt I was wearing. There are numerous exercises you can do and you follow along with an instructor. You have to stay in sync with the intructor to earn points and advance to higher levels and the Kinect does an amazing job of following your every movement and comparing it to the instructor. Not spreading your feet far enough apart? It'll tell you. Not keeping the right rhythm? It'll tell you. It is so much more immersive than anything I've played on the Wii and I can now actually see myself doing Your Shape instead of going to the gym. It's really fantastic.
A lot of the reviews complained about lag, meaning it takes a bit for the Kinect to detect your movements and get them on the screen. Is there lag? Yes, as measured in fractions of a second. Is it noticeable? Only if you're specifically focusing on it. But it's not noticeable during actual game play because you're focusing on the game. And just like with the Wii, you quickly learn to compensate for that fraction of a second difference. It's an absolute non-issue!!!!!
All-in-all, having played three titles (Kinect Adventures, Kinect Sports, and Your Shape) over a span of a couple of hours, the girlfriend and I were exhausted, exhillarated, and amazed at the experience. My girlfriend, being a typical girl, whose life isn't defined by gadgets, even posted on FB that the Kinect really is AMAZING! It more than exceeded our expectations and I couldn't be happier with the purchase. And I am absolutely ecstatic about what Kinect means for the future of gaming. Fully immersive Call of Duty? Yeah, it's coming!

I have owned numerous xbox 360's since they came out. I Started with the original 20 gig, and after having some issues with some accessories with it (the intercooler i bought literally melted into the back of my 360) so i upgraded to the Elite. I loved the console, and never once had an issue with it. but there were always some negative things about it, including the noise, the size of the power brick, and how hot the games would get at times while playing. I only bought this at midnight but I can say its great so far, and you save 50 bucks by getting this bundle. What i love so far:

I got the Kinect today along with 2 additional games, Dance Central and Your Shape Fitness Evolved. I was a little skeptical about the interface but after using it for a couple of hours I am convinced. Being a fit person I did not expect the physical aspect to be that challenging but I was wrong. Everything you do in the games involves movement, even making menu selections consumes calories.I was surprised by how well the Kinect tracked my movements but I'm guessing it varies from game to game. Having been gaming since the days of the Atari 2600, the Xbox with the Xbox Kinect are without a doubt the coolest advancement in video games ever. My whole family, from kids to grandparents, are able to play the games and enjoy them, being able to play and watch movies without digging for the remote is awesome and we really like the playing together. Setup was really simple and straight-forward and we were playing games in just a few minutes. We own a Wii, and while it is okay, the level of involvement and engagement just can't compare to the Xbox Kinect. I only found out about Kinect a couple of weeks ago. After reading some of the preliminary reviews, I was intrigued enough that I pre-ordered it almost immediately. Being a gadget nerd, I ordered this bundle despite already having an Xbox360, because I wanted the larger hard drive, the quietness of the new console (whisper quiet!!!!!), and the built-in wireless. The new design is pretty sweet too. Overall a fantastic console. I'd recommend upgrading.Kinect? ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!!!!! I have read countless reviews on Kinect.

Cheap White PC Wireless Controller Gaming Receiver For XBOX 360
Currently Microsoft does not make drivers for Windows 8 for this product but I installed the Windows 7 drivers and it functions fine. no fault of the distributor. The triggers register in kind of a weird way on the calibration screen but they do work. I wish they were separate inputs but they both control the Z axis of input with means they can not be mapped on a game as separate triggers.

Cheap Hydro Thunder
hydro thunder is a speed boat racing game that has 13 courses all of which vary greatly from each other in design and locations. tropical islands to chinese water ways. the controls feel like they should, as you slide across water. there are also at least (probably more) 9 different craft to choose from each with distinctive handling which can be necessary on harder tracks. about that, this game is crazy hard to finish everything. you need to play decently and some how hit nearly EVERY boost power up in each course. the AI seems to pace things out so you're always just barely where you want to be. finishing in first is a rare thing and takes real skill, but at least you'll have a lot of fun getting that skilled.

Was the game I was looking for, even though I did have to take it to be buffed at my local CD Exchange. Other than that it is a fun mind numbing game to playBest Deals for Hydro Thunder
Ever played Hydro thunder? Yes? well of course, it was everywhere! the dreamcast version exceeds expectations, the graphics are retained, the gameplay perfect, and it's just as fun as you remember it, especially if you get the wheel. The dreamcast version is also much better than the N64 port, graphics wise is the most noticeable, but also in sound.Honest reviews on Hydro Thunder
This is almost arcade perfect. The speed and enjoyment of this racer is almost unmached by today's racers STILL (BurnOut 3 & Revenge are in my mind the only better). A MUST HAVE for Dreamcast owners.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Hydro Thunder
