Ok, so I had recently left a bad review. I had worked with the seller to get my item and now it works quite well. The customer service was amazing although when I had sent back the drive they shipped a xbox360 slim drive to me instead of the original 360 drive I had ordered. Through the time I bought it and the time I had finally been able to use it was about 2-3 weeks. The drive works fine and is quite quiet. I haven't noticed a BIG difference in load times but I feel downloading your 360 games to your hard drive is a bit faster now. I would like to say that this is a good company and will work with you if you have any problems with a product. My experience with them has led me to change my bad review to a better one and I hope to see this company improve.

All the time I've owned my xbox 360, I've been underwhelmed by both the load times AND rpms. The stock rpms were completely unacceptable to say the least, and for years I cursed microsoft for sticking me and countless other users with such an inadequate platter speed >:(. Fortunately with the new Fastspeed hdd, i can have MAXIMUM rpms for slightly more than the cost of a decent gaming pc, so my (and our) rpm-related woes are over forever. Be careful though. If you aren't used to high rpms, your xbox can get out of control pretty quick.

I am a sucker for special edition game gear and and I am particuarly impressed by this controller because it actually looks better in person. I have the Gears of War 3 controllers as well but I prefer the Modern Warfare controller for two reasons. The thumb sticks are smooth whereas the standard controller thumb sticks have four small and rather uneccessary bumps. The other reason being that the surface of the controller feels slightly textured in comparrisson to the glossy Gears of War controllers which can get a bit slick during gameplay. If in need of a new controller, I'd definatly recommend this over the standard or GoW versions.

My parents play MW3. They are both around 50 years old. Dad is good, Mom is... I don't see how that's relevant. BACK OFF MY MOM! For a long time, part of her handicap on the game was using Dad's hand-me-down controllers that he would replace as the joysticks started to wear out. As my mother sits in the corner with an LMG doing the "spray and pray" routine, this was enough for a while. She was playing with the boys, and she was happy. As her skill started to improve, she decided she wanted a controller that was brand new, just for her, and off limits to the vices that my father passes off as hands. Because she wanted to keep it to herself it had to look distinctive, and since this was around Christmas I passed on having to come up with an original idea and got her the MW3 controller and matching headset. It's an Xbox 360 controller made by Microsoft, and it functions just like every other one on the planet. The heads of the joysticks are shaped a little different and the d-pad is the new adjustable type but as far as the mechanics of it goes there is nothing new here.

But it is SO PRETTY! Don't let the picture fool you into thinking that the skin job is "just awesome." This thing is gorgeous. If I were single and this controller were a woman I would repeatedly take it out to eat fancy seafood in public places where I could watch men and women drool alike over the awesomeness across the table from me. This controller is that pretty. The underside is black, the graphics are just on the top, and that really doesn't matter; as my mom sits in her living room redefining "low man on the totem pole," she is doing so with the sweetest looking controller made for any system I have ever seen.

Best Deals for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Limited Edition Wireless Controller

This controller is similar to the silver one with the play and charge kit & "transforming" D-pad it has the grippy circles on the ends of the thumb sticks rather than the old 4 dot design, which I've found easier to play shooters with sensitivity set higher on.

Unlike the silver controller the back is a very textured matte black and the MW3 design on the top isn't slick like the tops of all of the other limited edition controllers. It's actually quite a bit easier to hold on to than any of the other 360 controllers I've tried since release day and includes the switchable d-pad. I purchased it since my silver one's right trigger stopped working every time I pulled it and find it to be ideal after playing Skyrim, MW3 & a bit of Battlefield 3 with it throughout the day, due to it being a lot less slippery.

I imagine this one would be good for people who's hands sweat when they play, though I can't say for certain as mine don't it just seems to me that a less slippery controller would be better in that situation.

Honest reviews on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Limited Edition Wireless Controller

I bought this controller for my loving GAMER husband for X-mas. It's built to last it's been a year & some change & it's still ticking, he loves the fingure grips for the L/R stick & the D-pad, I love the design. If your Husband/Wife is a Call of Duty fan it's a must have for his/her collection!!!

Cheap Ketsui: Kizuna Jigoku Tachi Extra

Ketsui: Kizuna Jigoku Tachi Extra
Customer Ratings: 5 stars

At first look, Ketsui looks similar to many other shmups out there. Helicopters firing a non-stop barrage of screen filling firepower? Check. Zillions of colorful bullets that need to be dodged? Check. Point items to collect and increase your score? Check. Huge bosses with enough guns to level a city? Check. But its real brilliance is in the game mechanics and level design.

Playing Ketsui is all about aggression. Destroying enemies up close awards higher point cubes, which are used to score. Shoot an enemy from afar for a "1" cube, or point-blank them for a "5" cube. Once you collect some cubes, you can switch to a lock-shot mode (hold down the fire button), which locks in that cube's value for a set amount of time. Thus, you can to bum rush a few enemies to generate high cube values, then use the lock-shot to maximize gains on everything else in sight. There are a few other variables to take into account, however that's the simplest way of explaining it.

The level design is very well thought out with this scoring system in mind. Often against a tougher opponent, a few tanks will work their way down the screen just before that enemy is defeated. You can either concentrate firepower to take out that threat quickly, or break your lock to point-blank those tanks, then return to the tough enemy, and be rewarded with a shower of 5 cubes. Careful planning is very rewarding, and the levels are perfectly balanced for those skillful enough to take advantage of them.

Enemy bullet patterns get vastly more interesting as you progress through the game. Late in the game they start to take a life of their own as they weave and track you in unusual ways.

In addition to the main game, an arrangement or "X-mode" is also included. This changes up the gameplay by adding bullet cancelling and suicide bullets when enemies are destroyed. It seems to be more about pushing your luck to fill the screen with bullets before cancelling them out, which leads to different strategies in how quickly you defeat certain enemies. It's a different take on the game, but it's still really great.

I can't say enough praise for how much fun Ketsui is to play. And at the end of the day, that's the only thing that really matters.

Reviews of Batman: Arkham Asylum -Xbox 360

Batman: Arkham Asylum -Xbox 360
Customer Ratings: 4 stars

First off, thank you Eidos for finally producing a comic book game that lives up to its source material! The graphics and character animations are nothing short of spectacular. Be sure to take a good long look at the Joker model from every possible angle, amazing detail all the way from the spats on his shoes to the holes in his tattered suit and on to his lifelike hair.... simply beautiful.

Another tip of the hat for bringing in the voice talent from the animated series. As far as I'm concerned, Mark Hamill is THE voice of the Joker and Kevin Conroy's menacing voice never has to resort to the sometimes ridiculous rasp that live-action actors insist on bringing to the role of Batman. Another big plus I haven't heard a single line of dialog repeated yet... not even from the generic thugs.

As for the gameplay, I'm loving the free-flowing fight system, very cinematic. I'm not very far into the game as yet, but the what I've played so far has been outstanding. All of the moves I'd hoped to see are there, not to mention those wonderful toys!

Now for the ugly... I wouldn't bother with the Collector's Edition unless you're a big fan, very disappointing. The game case is great... huge, but cool. My big issue is with the batarang, what a piece of plastic garbage!

When I first opened the box I thought the batarang had been damaged during packing, it seemed to be covered in random scratches. Upon closer inspection I realized that these scratches were intended to simulate a brushed metal surface. I'm pretty sure someone just takes it and runs it randomly over a belt sander before placing it in the box. As it stands, I'd be embarrassed to display it with my other memorabilia. I'll probably end up doing some work on it myself in order to make it display worthy.

The leather bound journal is also a bit disappointing, I was really hoping for a bunch of new artwork, but all that's there is illustrations and character bios from the game itself.

I'm hoping the "making of" DVD will compensate for the other weak extras, but unfortunately, I can't review it until I finish the game and avoid any spoilers.

To sum it up... BUY THE GAME!!!!... but buyer beware of the Collector's Edition.

p.s. Another big shout out to Amazon for their "deliver on date of release" shipping option. It was well worth the $5 and change to receive the game on its release date. I probably would have bought the game locally if they hadn't offered the option. Gotta love instant gratification!!

Okay, so the game itself is Excellent!! Just buy the regular edition game. SAVE YOUR MONEY.

WARNING!!! Do NOT buy this special edition! This is the second worst special edition game I have ever bought. The Batarang is NOT made of metal, nor is it highly detailed, nor does it have any articulated accents!!! It IS however made out of horribly molded plastic and it is FUSED to an extremely cheap grey plastic base!!! To make matters worse, someone took a box cutter and scraped it up all over so it just looks like a complete piece of junk!!! It looks like they literally rubbed this plastic piece of garbage on the sidewalk too!!!

I saw this special edition at E3 and thought WOW!! They have pulled a complete switch on us, this is NOT the finely crafted Batarang they had in the display case.

I payed full price for this garbage too!! $100!!! That's $40 for a box (which is the best part sadly), a leather book with some pictures and this horrible horrible horrible excuse for a Batarang.

I am extremely disappointed. Just get the great game. The people who put this special edition together are jerks, thieves and ripoff artists.

Best Deals for Batman: Arkham Asylum -Xbox 360

Amazing game with an awesome story that fits nicely in Batman lore. Graphics are unbelievabely detailed right down to damage to the bat suit as you progress through the game. The slight collection side quest of Riddler trophies actually adds to the game rather than being frustrating like the collection sides in games like GTA.

I haven't even finished this game yet and am already looking forward to the next Batman game from Eidos. Just simply an amazing game.

My only very minor gripe is that there is a fair bit of back-tracking in the game, but unlike other games with a back-tracking issue this one fills the areas where you have already been witn new and sometimes tougher enemies. Still I'd rather continue on a different path to get to the next area than going back through the same rooms/paths I've already been on.

That is a seriously minor gripe though and like I said because the areas are repopulated with enemies it really isn't much of an issue at all.

All in all I was considering this as a rental because I'd heard it was pretty short, but got tired of finding the empty shelf at Blockbuster and went ahead and bought it and I'm really glad I did. Outstanding game worth every penny.

***EDIT***

I didn't realize I was on the Special edition when I decided to review the game. My review is for the Standard edition and solely on the game.

Honest reviews on Batman: Arkham Asylum -Xbox 360

I had been waiting for this game since I seen the previews for it a year ago and it was well worth the wait! First off 5 stars go toward the game itself, the collectors edition however gets 2. When I heard about the sweet 14 inch batarang that was going to come with it I was willing to spend the extra money thinking it would at least be a full fledged replica, sadly it is not. It's made out of what feels like ceramic not really a plastic at all and worst is the stand is permantly attached and feels like it will break if you even try to take it off. And even worse is the paint is crap, just solid black no silver on what would be the "blade". The only item I was pleased with other than the game itself was the leather bound journal which contains character bios and some really great artwork. Also included were downloadable crime ally challenge maps and since I got it at game stop I also got one called "dem bones" which features the scarecrow both of which I have yet to try. Anyways all that aside time to talk about the game. I picked it up at midnight last night but only got to play for 2 hours before I had to go to work and so far its been one of the best games I played on the 360. I'm a huge batman fan and I grew up with the animated series from the early 90's which I was hit with a great feeling of nostalgia when I heard Kevin Conroy as Batman, Mark Hamill as The Joker and Arlien Sorkin as the lovely Harley Quinn, I don't know yet if any of the other actors reprised their roles yet beside them. On that note, I'm in awe at what they have done with Batman's rogues gallery in terms of looks, Joker looks more like a twisted version of Jack Nicholson's Joker, Harley looks very sexy and this is how she should look if they make a sequel to The Dark Knight haha, Killer Croc is very intimidating and I can't wait to face him one on one, and The Scarecrow looks like a mix between a tagger and err... a scarecrow. Fanservice aside, Batman AA looks beautiful and really reminds me of Bioshock in terms of sheer details in buildings, character models, lighting, etc. I'm really glad the developers took their time in making this game. As for gameplay the perspective is over the shoulder just like RE 5 and Gears of War which I didn't like in games at first but after awhile I don't mind it as much. Combat is very very entertaining, its great to just get out numbers by some of The Jokers thugs and just clear the room with little effort (when unarmed that is). Attack buttons are hit, counter and stun. While it is easy to button mass on the x button the whole time, you won't get the most out of it as you would if you utilize all the moves in combat which is very easy to learn. Right now all Batman has is his trusty batarangs which can be used in a varitey of ways: stuning enemies, breaking locks and stuff like that and are also very useful during a fight. Certain parts of the game require you to do into detective mode which turns everything into a x-ray screen that can detect armed thugs and help with puzzles. A feature that I really loved was the grappling hook, with it batman can shoot from object to object without alerting anyone plus when an unlucky victim walks under you, you can repel down, get him in a choke hold and string him from the roof to set a trap for more bad guys. Arkham Asylum really gets a hold of all Bruce Wayne's qualities as a fighter and a detective and no other Batman game had ever succeded in doing this. So all of this is just a taste of what to expect I don't want to ruin too much for all of you, just go and buy it if you are a Batman fan or just rent it if you are looking one of the few good action games out there.

I really can't complain as i got the collector's edition on a lighting deal for about 50 dollars.... If you are planning to buy the collectors edition, it is not worth the money, just go buy the game...

I have 4 controllers. The GOW3 limited edition, an old black controller that has a mod that I bought a long time ago, the plain black controller that came with my console, and this one.

This blows every other controller out of the water. The controller has endured lots of heavy gaming, and the mod has helped give me the edge on so many occasions. That extra split second of shooting faster does wonders. Everyone seems to play with mods now so unless you have one you can't really keep up. And I'm pretty sure this mod is better than a lot of other ones out there since I'm definitely shooting faster.

I am really happy with my purchase. The price was right as well. I really feel that it was a great value since the GOW3 controller I bought was only $15 cheaper and it didn't have a mod or the cool look like this. Highly recommended.

Best Deals for Chrome Purple/White Xbox 360 Modded Controller (Rapid Fire) COD

I love almost everything about this controller except for it's connection range. It's beautiful to look at, works exceeding well in game play, once you figure out the codes the mods are easy to change and very helpful, and even though I was afraid the glossy mirror cover would get sweaty from extended usage, it's actually no worse than the standard black matte covering (maybe even a little better).

However, the controller's range is only about 9 feet, once past that the connection drops frequently. I've tried both rechargeable and AA batteries, but still experience the same problem. Since the edge of my couch is about 10 feet from my Xbox, I have to lean forward hunched over to play with any reliability. If it weren't for this problem, I would easily give 5 stars as other than this one issue its the best controller I've ever used.

If you normally play close to your Xbox then you should definitely give this puppy a shot, but if you sit 9+ feet away be ready for some massive frustration as you continually lose your controller for 15 seconds while it reconnects.

I recently purchased this game for my ps3 & I am not satisfied with it... I thought the game would be much better. On single player, it doesn't let u qualify, it doesn't let u do your heat race & doesn't have an A or B main... On 2 players, u can't even choose ur on car & its just u & the other person u are racing with... The graphics are nothing like I expected them to be, considering its a newer ps3 game... U can definitely tell RATBAG didn't create this game... Unlike Saturday Night Speedway which is a dirt Late Model racing game for the ps2 & The Sprint Car games for the ps2 that RATBAG did create, this game sucks!!! I wish someone would actually go to the World Of Outlaw race's (both Late Model & Sprint Cars) & make a game that's actually realistic like the NASCAR games... If anyone knows of a great Late Model or Sprint Car game that I can find, pls let me know (tim.bullins1@gmail.com)

I recently bought this game for the ps3. I like the gae and enjoy playing it. Ive always loves watching the world of outlaws on tv and watching the loca sprint car drivers in my area. The only thing is that im confused with is when your playing the game and you unlock a paint scheme or graphics. How can you purchise them in the speed shop if they are still locked in the speed shop? anther thing is. If you got cheat codes to use were do you put your name in at to use them? It's just a enjoyable game to play and i can spend hours playing it. If you unlock a track how can you have it show up in career mode?

Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance
Customer Ratings: 4 stars

I rented this game and a few days later bought it. This is nearly a perfect Mortal Kombat game. I had lost interest in MK after it's many sequels and same ol, same ol. A new fighting system, weaponry and multiple fighting styles make this not only a challenge to master but a lot of fun as well. Plenty of Gore and Blood and plenty of moves where you have no choice but to say "that HAD to hurt". You have to love impaling your opponent.

Graphics and sound are top notch and the added Konquest mode and the Krypt add a new level to this game the previous titles didn't have.Konquest mode to unlock Blaze and Mokap can be cruelly frustrating, just TRY and do Raiden's Chain Lightning Branch Style Combo, i've been at it for two days now. They couldn't have made Konquest mode just a "tad" easier. certain characters in Konquest mode are far easier than others.Sometimes i could swear there's a glitch where you do the combo right but the game insists you didn't, and as other times you do it by mashing buttons as fast as you can and it decides to let you have it. The old favorites are back with some great new characters as well. It's a interesting concept mixing a fighting game with Kurrency to unlock hidden characters, arenas and alternate costumes to name a few. I've been playing it non stop since i got it. The only problems i can find with this game are the "cheese" factor of Moloch and certain moves or combinations of moves that a human player wouldn't be able to pull off, but the AI pulls off flawlessly, like blocking and attacking at the same time as well as perfectly timed reversals into a 15 hit Branch Style Combo that goes through all three fighting styles LOL.The rounded directional pad makes some of the moves harder to pull off than on say a playstation controller and that can get annoying at times, hitting down back to perform a "special move" only to jump in the air unintentionaly. The range of difficulty should have been spread out a little more as well, you go from your first fighting being a flawless victory in every round,to your third and fourth giving you a seriously AI sided fight.Staring at the screen going what the heck happened, i guess i blinked. I would have liked to have seen more than ONE fatality per character and maybe even a few arena fatalities as well. Some of the Branch Style Kombos seem next to impossible to pull off and having to do them to beat Konquest mode to unlock even more characters is frustrating, although die hard MK fans wll surely have no problems LOL. It's a great game and i can't wait to see the sequel. Plenty of morbid entertainment for your dollars. From what i've herd and seen the Xbox version is the BEST version of this game on a console. If you have an Xbox definetly pick this up or rent it. One final thing, Midway would have been smart to make this game Xbox LIVE compatible so you could play with other people online in VS mode, that would have been most excellent.

I feel like a party pooper here, with all the great reviews being wrote, but I need to add my opinion to help others who may have a similar taste in fighting games i have.

First off, I have never been a 'major' mortal kombat fan, I however have felt it to be one of the best series out there. The characters have always been intresting and entertaining and the gameplay has always been upbeat, fast, and bloody. This game has all 3 of those. Fast gameplay, very bloody, and always seeming to say 'go go go go' Each battle seems to take only seconds sometimes, as combos and massive beat downs are recieved and given back.

But here is my complaint in what flaw I see... this is no DOA 3. Some may say "YES!" but for those like me, I loved DOA realistic martial arts, and fluid animation. Some moves were so realistic and to the art, I recongized them from movies and my own limited martial arts training. From the rythmatic stance of Jeet Kune Do to the blocks and solid punches of Karate. Mortal Kombat lacks this, and to a hurting. Johny Cage is such a slug he is an embrassment to both styles he uses in the game. *jeet kune do and karate i think, plus chucks as weapons* Before those of you that are die hards say "Well you just don't know how to string combos together!" I reply, that is fairly true, I am not the best at remembering things like Y Y Y X up + X Left trigger A A... All fights began to look like they all came out of the same can.. as the same combos are repeated over and over for if you use anything else, you may only get 3 hits before you character decides to take a breather. I lack the words to explain exactly how I feel about the animation, not because its "that bad!" but because I honestly dont know how to describe it. When some characters jump, they float up, pause, then float back down. Some flying punches or kicks look like they cut back on animation time by having the whole body hold still other than the arms or feet that are hitting. This leads to less fun for me, because I want to watch realistic and enjoyable fictional fight moves. If someone throws a punch, and they dont even move a shoulder, or waist, or hip, it begins to look dull. All I suggest is rent it first, to see if you have similar view as me. For those who are fans of the arcade, then I dont think you will mind the game at all. Dead or Alive 3 however I feel has much much more fluid animation and realistic styles. The things the mortal kombat characters often look hoky and fake. *not bashing fire balls and the like, speaking only of punches and kicks*

Hope this helps with your purchase or rental.

I have always been a big Mortal Combat fan right from the beginning. This new version did not let me down at all. There's so much to do in this new version. You get to train with different characters and learn their moves. Once you do so, you earn Koins that will allow you to open up 'Koffins'. Hidden in the koffins are new characters, backgrounds and some silly stuff. The movement and graphics are amazing. If you're a Mortal Combat fan, you will not be disappointed with this game.

Honest reviews on Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance

Yeah, I know. Scary concept.

I got this baby in an attempt to make sense of Deception. And let me tell you, it is everything that Mortal Kombat: Deception is. Maybe a little more here and a little less there, but it is pretty equal in all resepcts.

Speaking of Deception, I've got to admit that this game made me like Deception's konquest mode a little more. Maybe because this game's konquest was a little annoying at times (although quite funny at others, and nessecary in the long run); maybe because, once I knew the plot of Deadly Alliance, I had some idea of what was going on in the other.

Deadly Alliance's fight-play has, in fact, a little, tiny bit more depth to it. This is because of the little black button, which allows you to, depending on your style of kung fu, grab an opponent, or regain some health (via taunting, how else?) or impale an enemy with your weapon. Depending on the weapon. A dissapointment comes from the fact that you have to use the d-pad to kontrol your character; other than that, it's cool. The graphics are crisp and clean, except when your opponent is covered in blood.

The extra features are a little less than Deception's, but that's "okay," since this wasn't supposed to be a grab-bag. And what extras are there are fun anyway, so, who's complaining?

As I said before, this made me appreciate konquest a little more. It's nice to know that there can be plot in a Mortal Kombat game (I found, by the way, the plot to be tight and focused, although I prefer Deception's plot). Basically, this Mortal Kombat is for anyone who doesn't know what's going on in Deception. No previous knowledge of Mortal Kombat is really nessecary, but it can't hurt to know who Scorpion and Sub-Zero are.

I must say that I have been a long time fan of the mk series. This version is great I think Midway did the right thing when they got rid of all those peripherial characters and superfluous fatalities, animalities, ect. Frankly I would be happy to figure out one. This game is clean and crisp with responsive controls. The weapon aspect is cool because if you do decide to use it you also take greater damage if hit; although if you are a weak player AI's at higher diffuculty levels will repeatedly use their weapons to slice and dice you.

The ONLY gripes I have with this game is that it totally sucks that all the players are not available to start with; although I must admit that having to buy them gives the game more replay value. Also a major gripe is that this game is NOT Xbox Live compatable. I imagine all those suckers I could be pummeling with scorpion all the trash talking I am being denyed, so disappointing.

Anyway this IS a solid game worth having for ANYONE who appreciates fighters. Check out the blood and gore!

MOST MASCULINE OF THE AIR SKYLANDERS..WHEN HE MOVES... HIS BUFF BODY LEANS FORWARD WITH HIS CHEST PUFFED OUT.. HE SCREAMS "I'M SEXY AND I KNOW IT" Not really.. but he does say "TODAY"S FORECAST...ME"! He confidently floats SLOWLY around (not flying..can't go over water) and manages to kill a Drow Goliath (giant green guy with shields while pressing and holding the circle on PS3) WHICH ELECTRYFIES THE CLOUD THAT HE FLOATS ON ENOUGH TO ACTUALLY GET RID OF ANY OPPONENTS NEXT TO HIM... WHILE "STANDING" STILL. If your thumbs get tired or like to be a little lazy about the individual fights..He is a great choice..speed isn't his strong suit. At first his lightning bolt that he commands down from the sky isn't very strong or easy to maneuver. Over time the lightning bolt becomes stronger, longer lasting and more controllable. I currently have him upgraded to a LEVEL 7. When it comes to the "choose your path" level you can either increase his electric cloud abilities or increase his "Lord of Lightning" abilities.

I chose to increase the "Lord of Lightning" abilities for more of a long range target approach. I'm not sure that was the best way to go after seeing just how powerful his "Defensive Clouds" make him. Be sure to shoot a bolt at one of the sheep at the ruins..pretty funny..

In my opinion.. I currently have all of the Air figures..they are VERY STRONG as a group! I have all of the characters released except Wham-Shell. Initially the air figure I least liked was whirlwind, but after needing her to keep other players from dying before.. I have really grown to like her. She can also shoot up and over gates or platforms, unlike most of the other players. I LOVE ALL of the AIR characters and would have a hard time picking a favorite. Sonic has saved me in one of the Troll worlds where you have to move giant boulders around.. to get a hat and some treasure I believe..when it was stuck and couldn't get anyone else to get it unstuck..her sonic scream managed to work. Her babies make great spider bait (that sounds awful)..you throw the eggs in front and when they attack her babies.. It leaves you free to attack them while they are busy. Warnado looks like more of an up close attack strategy..and if the cloud path is chosen that would be Lightning Rods too (which looks like it may be his stronger path). Warnado can't fly in a traditional sense..more of a tornado/spinning "flight", but he can manage to eventually go over water which is helpful in a lot of areas..Currently he is around a 3 in experience..Warnado is a lot of fun and seems VERY powerful right out of the package which is surprising because according to his stats within the game his "Critical Hit" is his weakness. A strong critical hit hat takes care of that.. and it's pretty funny to see the choompies and other opposing forces sucked up into the spinning tornados. Lightning Rod can't fly or go over water.. The other two can.. So..there it is..you'll have to decide what strengths you need based on your collection and budget at $9.99 each retail.

Honest reviews on Skylanders Spyro's Adventure Lightning Rod

My oldest son, now 12, loved playing the very first PS2 game where Spyro was introduced, so it was little wonder his younger brother, now 7, showed an interest in Skylanders. He loves collecting all his favorite characters to see what they are capable of in the game; he lines them up in a row on his window ledge so he can admire all their unique characteristics. For someone who struggles to pay attention for long periods of time, this has been a wonderful way to stimulate his creativity and his problem-solving abilities.

Currently Microsoft does not make drivers for Windows 8 for this product but I installed the Windows 7 drivers and it functions fine. no fault of the distributor. The triggers register in kind of a weird way on the calibration screen but they do work. I wish they were separate inputs but they both control the Z axis of input with means they can not be mapped on a game as separate triggers.

Like many of you, I spent a lot of money for my LCD TV several years ago. When Sony announced their firmware update that allowed for 3D gaming and viewing of 3D Blu-Ray movies, I was tempted to buy another widescreen TV, but couldn't justify shelling out a few thousand more dollars for it. 3D would have to wait.

Sony did something clever with this product. They bundled a 24" monitor with 3D glasses, the game Motorstorm Apocalypse, and an HDMI cable and priced it under $500. Suddenly it was a lot more affordable.

The monitor comes packaged in a large box with a carrying handle (another benefit of ordering a smaller TV is that you don't need a crew of people to carry it upstairs). There's a slight amount of assembly required, which is a snap (literally). You attach the monitor to the stand and the stand to the base. Then, you just plug it into AC (the power cord is only about 5 feet, which was a bit small for my needs), and then plug the HDMI cable from your PS3 to the unit.

It took me a while to find the power button, which is on the back of the unit to the right. There are six buttons in total: a power button, an input selector button (which switches between two HDMI connectors and one set of component (yPbPr) connectors), two volume buttons, a menu button, and a 3D button. They're all pretty generically shaped and lined up in one column, but to help you out an on-screen diagram will pop up when you press one to make sure you're pressing the right one. From the menu you can adjust the picture, including Backlight (0 to 10) and Picture Mode (dynamic, standard, cinema). You can also define a custom picture mode, setting your own brightness, contrast, color, hue, sharpness, and color temperature. It can be quite a pain to adjust menu settings with the buttons behind the unit, but you get used to it soon enough.

The PS3 recognized the monitor immediately. I was pleasantly surprised by the crispness of the display. The colors and clarity on the LED display were definitely deeper and crisper than my current LCD TV. Likewise, the sound was powerful (it has 2 channel stereo output at 3W and a subwoofer at 5W built in).

The 3D glasses come in a separate felt pouch, and the lenses come protected with some plastic over them (you pull off the plastic with convenient pull-tabs). It took me a while to figure out how to turn them on--there's a power switch on the inside for "battery" and then a separate power button on top, both of which need to be switched on. I was very happy to see a micro-USB connector on top (you need to pry open a little door to see it). I was afraid that like other Sony 3D glasses it'd be powered by a watch battery, but it looks like these glasses can be charged. Note that the connector is a smaller micro-USB connector and not a mini-USB such as the one used to charge the Dualshock and Move controllers. But happily there's a small USB-to-micro-USB cable included. I wear glasses, but the 3D glasses fit comfortably over them.

I popped in the game "MLB: The Show 11" to test it out. No 3D. I went to the menu options, and the 3D option was greyed out. I finally realized that I had to go to the PS3 menu under "Settings", and select Video Output Settings > HDMI > Auto and set the screen to 24 inches before 3D would be enabled. Once I did that I returned to the game where now I saw all kinds of new disclaimer screens I didn't see before referencing 3D.

Within the game, I adjusted the 3D settings. The first settings I tried had a lot of ghosting. But by adjusting the sliders a little I finally got a picture that was absolutely perfect. I wish that Sony had a "universal" setting instead of having us control it game-by-game, but bottom line, if the game developer did it right you will have control over the depth of 3D you can see.

Next, I tried a 3D Blu-Ray which I happened to get today in the mail, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1. The disc started up and went right into 3D mode, with the opening menu gloriously popping out of the screen. It was a clean, crisp picture with no ghosting as far as I could tell. As is typical with these active 3D glasses, the picture was very dark even with the backlight set at maximum (it's like watching a TV screen with sunglasses). But if you sit close enough to the TV and/or adjust the menu settings, you should find a viewing setting that's comfortable.

Last, I tried connecting it to my laptop, which happens to have an HDMI output jack. To my delight, I was able to go to YouTube's 3D channel, play videos with the "side by side" viewing method, adjust the 3D mode of the TV, and see the videos in full 3D! Not surprisingly, the picture quality, resolution and color fidelity were excellent. I hadn't planned on it, but I will be most likely be making this my second computer monitor of choice.

The set does support "SimulView", which allows two people to play a game watching the same screen with both players seeing their own (2D) view of the game. I wasn't able to test because I didn't buy a second pair of glasses (which is kind of pricey at $70), but I'll update this review once I do.

To sum up, I was honestly a little afraid that at this price Sony might try to push a cheap TV on the masses. But everything about this set screams high quality, from the crisp picture, to the 176/176 viewing angle (meaning that multiple people can be between 2-8 feet from the screen and still see perfect 3D as long as they all have the 3D glasses), to the 5000:1 contrast ratio and 240 Hz refresh rate. Aesthetically, it's quite gorgeous too--the black, polished screen really looks distinctive, especially next to the sleek lines of the PS3 itself. And surprisingly, I put the 24" TV next to my 42" LCD and didn't really miss the fact too much that it was smaller (granted, I grew up watching a 25" cathode ray tube TV).

The one possible caveat I'd have about this set is what I'd have about all 3D sets--there are some people who might experience some mild-to-severe nausea. For this reason, I'd recommend you play at a friend's house or spend a good couple of minutes in front of a store display to make sure you're not one of those who are affected. For me, I experienced a tiny bit of nausea, but I'll admit that the coolness factor definitely made up for it. Worst comes to worst, you can switch off the 3D and still have a very high quality LED display.

One other thing to note is that this isn't a "TV", as there's no TV tuner. But with the extra HDMI connector, you can easily plug in a TiVo or a cable box. Ironically, I also plugged in an Xbox 360 using the component cables, and that picture looks crisp as well.

Long story short, if you've been tempted to try out 3D, this makes an excellent entry-level display.

Unfortunately, I have to end my review with a couple words about Amazon. I have always been blown away by Amazon's customer service and I routinely pre-order games and systems from them. In this case, I had ordered the PS3 Display back in September, because they promised that everyone who pre-ordered would get a free copy of Resistance 3. Lo and behold, like many of you probably did, I found out that my order was cancelled--my invoice of September had the correct price of $499.99, but some klutz in Amazon evidently repriced it after I ordered it at $4.99 and then $49.99. Because of this, my order was cancelled. I called their customer service, and the rep "Bill" was very kind and understanding, but said he had to "check with his manager" to see what he could do. A few minutes later I get a generic email basically telling me tough luck and that I should re-place my order--which meant I wouldn't get it for another few weeks AND I wouldn't get the free game. No apology or anything. Needless to say, I immediately drove to GameStop where they gave me the system and a free copy of Uncharted 3 to boot. My message to Amazon--clean up your act or you'll see a lot more people doing the same.

After about 6 weeks monitor started blinking red and will not come back on. Terrible product, don't waste your money. Wish I could give it negative stars!

I am not writing this review because I hate SONY products, but its my true experience about this particular product. I have never bought SONY TV, this was the first one. After exactly 31 days of use this TV broke on my. When I turned it on the screen went dark and the red light just kept on blinking. I've owned many TVs in my life, but this is the first product to fail on me only after about 31 days of use.

I bought it from Best Buy and their return policy only lasts for 30 days, it comes with Sony's 1 year warranty, but I have been having some issue with that. Their CSR department is not very helpful on solving the problem. They will try to avoid sending you a new display, by making excuses. Even after 5 calls, they have managed to get away from giving me a replacement TV.

In short, please don't BUY this TV. It looks like a good deal on a 3D TV, but think of it like and investment of $250-300 only for couple of months. Sony did not honor their warranty on this TV for me, even after I provided all the purchase receipts and serial #s. I am attaching some links to prove that this is not minor occurance. Its seems like a 50:50 chance that your TV will break in 1 year. Please be wise and save your money. Don't buy this crappy product.

Honest reviews on PlayStation 3D display

It is a shame that I have to write this, I love Sony, I really do, but people need to be warned and this product really needs to be taken off the market. The 3D display looks beautiful and has fantastic 3D effects. It is well worth the $270 I paid, but ofcourse there are too many problems to keep it.

A week and a half, that's all mine lasted before it started blacking out on me (this appears to be caused either by a power flux in the PSU or the HDMI is losing signal). At first the blackouts weren't a big problem, it took half a second for it to go black and come back and at most, you'd almost swear it was just your eyes blinking. But as the 2nd week went on, the problem not only continued to happen, but worsened, and quickly. The blackouts would last several seconds and started happening every 30-45 mins randomly. Some times it would go hours without one only to get 3 in rapid succession. This worsens even more according to other customer reports, to the point where the unit dies as soon as you turn it on. The Blue, Green, Red Light twice blinking problem which is about the same as the 360s RROD.

I took great care of this display as well, even coddled it a bit. I turned it off (something I've never been known to do with other TVs connected to my computers), I unplugged it (this is actually a recommendation via Sony support to someone on their 2nd display) and I kept it in a well vented area that had a temperature around 65 degrees F at all times.

Several people have speculated that this issue may be due to the PS3 being connected with a certain update. I can verify that this isn't the case, I don't own a PS3, so it was never hooked up to one. Some people thought this was a 'hard-shake' error and once again I can verify that it happened while compensating for those. Temperature wasn't an issue as stated above. Which really only leaves one possibility, the power supply.

I decided I was going to return mine for a full refund and it appears as if Amazon will be honoring that soon. But I urge people wanting to buy this, DONT! It has been 6 months and Sony has not fixed this, nor made an official comment. If you call their Customer Support, you are told that this is a rare issue, but if you look online, you'll see thousands among thousands of people all having this and even worst issues. I tried to find atleast one person who has had their display working perfectly for over 3 months, I couldn't find a single soul. Instead, I found angry customers who were on their 2nd display and some even on their 3rd and one guy who was on his 4th.

If Sony ever fixes these, I would be more than happy to buy another display from them, as stated above, the TV is marvelous and beautiful, I can only hope the $400 replacement I ordered can match it. As it stands, this TV is a poor result in their QA department not doing their job and should be marked as a disappointment to them as a company who prides themselves on being one of the great leaders in technology.

UPDATE: It even just happened writing this review...

UPDATE2: Came home from work (had the display turned off and unplugged), was going to package it up for my return, but I have a another day before UPS will pick it up. Within 10 mins, the display blacked out. Went nearly 2 hours with no problems and now has blacked out 8 times in 15 mins. Someone in the comments stated they have had theirs for 4 months, so I guess there are a few out there that are fine, but this is the first I've ever heard of someone going that long without problems. Also, I just wanted to add, I barely used the 3D. An hour here or there, so it's not like I wore it out trying to do 3D non-stop.

Around Black Friday there were sales of these screens for $299 at Best Buy and I almost went for one but held back and regretted it. A few days later the price went back up, of course. The regret just grew and grew. I had already bought an LG 23" IPS screen that was pretty good, plus some speakers, so I couldn't justify the extra expenditure. But I kept on going back to the BB website, seeing if this screen was back on sale. Well, Amazon showed this refurb unit for even less money and so I instantaneously bought it too impulsive? Maybe. And the delivery was incredibly quick next day. So not enough time for buyer's remorse. As it turns out, the screen arrived not only quickly but also in great shape, no dead pixels, packaged well and with the free Motorstorm game still sealed. There was even some charge in the glasses so you could use them straight away. And I must say, while I am generally skeptical about 3D cinema, for certain games there is an incredibly immersive 'wow' factor. Also, even for non-3D games the screen is extremely clear and the widescreen format is great for certain games like FPS Battlefield 1942 looks beautiful. We haven't tried seeing films or Netflix yet, but frankly I am delighted with this screen and will be selling my previous equipment this is neater, has good sound, fewer cables, includes HDMI and has a great resolution. I'm actively seeking out 3D games to try out, and the build quality is superb. Great stuff Sony you don't always get it right but in this case you have hit the sweet spot for quality and affordability. I was thinking about purchasing a huge 50" screen previously, but we don't watch TV. So having a smaller, beautifully designed screen like this, for the occasional 3D game or Blu-Ray, is a strange but pragmatic compromise. Recommended.

EDIT: It is now three weeks later. I think you know what to expect at this point. After being wowed by the display, and downloading Crysis especially to play in 3D (it still plays well after these years, and in 3D it's a dream)... well, the red light of death. Hadn't used it for a while, went to turn it on and... nothing, the lights cycled through colors but no display whatsoever. Usually I balk at Sony's high prices for electronic products but you know that at least the build quality is decent. Not any more how many hundred of people are complaining about this exact problem, the blank screen after a few weeks? This is gonna cost Sony in terms of brand loyalty as well as return shipments. A real shame I now have no monitor or TV in the house, and am wary of ordering another of these. I have changed my rating from 5 stars to 1. Very disappointed.

The mods are good! For the ones that actually worked with this iffy controller. Also two buttons would stick after you push it. The left bumper and trigger. Which can get in the way during a shooter like call of duty. Other than that the controller looks awesome (which is the only reason I didn't give it 2 stars) and feels great. However this may be a gamble to buy for all the money that's being charged

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I wanted to like this game, I had never tried a hunting game before, this was a new game and came with a really cool looking gun, I really wanted to like it, but I was alas disappointed.

To be honest, the game is okay. Rather than just having a game like a shooting gallery they try to make a story and give some purpose to what you are doing. But in the end, most of the time the game plays like a rail shooter where the actions comes and goes off the screen and you don't have to move about in the game. But like I said you get a story with what is going on in the screen, which can be nice for some. There are some more generic challenges and safari type shoots if you don't want to deal with the story mode (Which you can also skip through).

The hardware is the real failure on this though. You have the gun, but you also have to install a sensor bar on top of or below your television screen, it requires batteries (Not included) and then I believe syncs with the gun. It only has an on button and a sleep timer, nothing else. They couldn't think to put an actual on off switch on this? Then I was excited to use the gun like a real gun and aim down the sights, but the sights never line up with what is on the screen, it just moves the symbol/reticle around the screen. So what is the use of having a cool looking gun what senses your heart beat if you can't aim down the sights? Also I had problems with the sensor turning off randomly. I tried to figure out what was going wrong but the instructions (While written in 8 different languages was pretty minimalist,) offered no help.

So even with limited play modes I was hoping to have this maybe be a fun party game, but no luck. The hardware problems and lack of imagination in using the game means it will probably just stay on the shelf.

If you have any questions about the game or you would like me to clarify something just leave a comment and I will try to answer.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I've tried many hunting games on many platforms, but nothing compares to this! The hunting games in the arcades get old after awhile, and the iPhone versions are dull from the start. This, however, is a whole different experience!

In the package, you get the game itself, a gun to go with it, and a receiver bar to place above or under your TV. The setup is quick and easy, and you'll be out there shooting in no time. Make sure you take a moment to calibrate the interface first (otherwise you'll have your 10 year old standing on a step-stool so his aim is correct!). After that, you have the option of a basic hunting survival mode and a story mode. Like most people, I jumped right into the survival mode and started blasting away. The gun is amazingly accurate and responsive. The game is challenging without being too frustrating. It is easy to change weapons and reload, though reloading takes a moment, so you should plan accordingly.

After that, we moved on to the story mode. The story itself is pretty weak, but if I want a good story I'll read a book! We found ourselves just skipping the cut scenes after the first couple. As a rail shooter, you don't really need to know the story to play. All you have to do is follow along and shoot or be eaten. You can control your movements along the general path, and you can dodge/roll out of the way of charging beasts. One of the coolest features is the heartbeat sensor. The gun has metal contacts where your hands go, and if your heartbeat is too high, you will not be able to complete certain shots. It seemed silly to me, but when you have to complete a couple of quick and difficult shots while moving, your heart rate does increase.

All in all, this is an amazing game and I highly recommend it! Now I have to go try to get the gun back from my sons so I can have my turn...

Best Deals for Cabela's Dangerous Hunts 2013 with Gun -Xbox 360

Cabela's keeps making this game more and more outrageous. The swarms of animals such as wolves, hyenas, etc. that attack you, are endless, and take away from the overall entertainment of the game. While using the gun, movement can be a bit jerky as well. Decent game, but I wouldn't recommend buying it.

Honest reviews on Cabela's Dangerous Hunts 2013 with Gun -Xbox 360

When you play split screen using two players the screen is so small and your position is so close up that it is very hard to navigate. You end up running into fences that are right in front of you because the view is so close. Then when you make it to the look out point your partner is about the size of a pin head. You can easily miss him. This is very frustrating. Also the gun is right in front of you to the right a little so you have to really move around just to see what is behind your gun and then it's too late as the wolves attack very quickly and you die because of lack of sight. I keep saying, while I'm playing, "If this was for real I would have blasted those wolves of the map but I feel like a half blind man trying to sight through the end of a mason jar.

Maybe there is view change but for now we only play single player. This is frustrating as a dad since I got this game for more family involvement.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This game has two main ways to play it target shooting ("arcade") or story. That's what makes it cool is that it's virtually two games in one you don't ever have to play the story (which is about a family of hunters who get separated), and still have a lot of fun with the various arcade games. Especially if you're playing two players to compete. Of course, I only had the one gun, so we couldn't play co-op mode.

It is a fun game, but it's far from perfect, mostly, and this is a big one, is the fact that for some reason, the buttons have different functions in the two modes. Reload isn't the same function in arcade mode as it is in Story mode, which is just odd. and one is better than the other, so it's very uncomfortable in one mode.

If you love hunting games and don't mind the odd reload function, then this could be for you.

I bought this game for only one reason, because I love the original NES version soo much. The original NES version was a perfect side scroller action game that you can play over and over without getting tired of it. I was a little disapointed with the Gameboy Color version but after a while, it begins to grow on you. It may not be as good as the NES version but this game is still worth buying.

If you liked the NES version of Bionic Commando, this Gameboy Color version makes the NES version look archaic!! New levels, two characters to choose from (the strong male, and the agile female), beautiful graphics, smooth scrolling, and detailed character animations truely make this cartridge stand out. With the traditional side scrolling levels, and top-down battles when intercepting enemy trucks, and a new 3rd type of combat in sniper mode that is optional for powerups during a mission, the game will definately keep you entertained. 3 save slots are available on this cartridge. Also, if you are mid-mission, and you need to quit back to the map to change equipment or save, holding Select, A, and B all at the same time will exit the mission and bring you out.

This game is great. You play as a predator who can really kick butt, blow up a tank, and be home for dinner. Your main enemies are soldiers, alien warrior, and later you fight predaliens. This game is short but has a lot of replayability. This game is prabably worth 30 bucks but if your a fan like me youll think its worth it. Go slice an alien with your new toy!!

This is an ok game to spend playing on an afternoon with nothing better to do. It has nothing really unique about it but it is cool running around as the Predator. There's a few things I didn't like about it. No jump button? Kinda irritating. Also, the fighting is a basic slish slash two hit combo that is frankly boring to watch after the first few times you see it. The different Pred views, (heat, alien, and mechanical) are completely useless. Plus, one of the big draws of the movie was the PredAlien. Not even hinted at. Doesn't exist in the game. And the whole game has but one boss fight, against a helicopter for that matter. Really, I found myself looking forward to the extremely short game to be over. This game is really only good for people who love Predator and Aliens. But even then, it'll just sit in your PSP case.

I was very suprised at the good graphical values until I went into the thermal/tech/alien vision modes and they either felt it necessary or accidently put in a constant flicker every 2 3/4 seconds and it annoys me trying to attack much less See what I am doing.

alas the cool targeting reticule from the alien vs pred game on pc from 10 years ago has limited use here and only in shoulder gun mode.

you can customize your pred with all the weapons and pred tech you could want for alien head busting and shooting them in alien vision mode can be quite enjoyable.

after a while you realize it's another 3rd person shooter with goals like "collect info from the predator's mask" and "destroy the cloaked predator ship" and while these are decent missions they are dreadfully short.

overall this game is a stripped down of the pc title alien vs predator with a decent control scheme unfortunately bogged down by a few clunky menu systems.

not perfect by far but still a great handheld shooter where you can Cloak sneak up on your friend and let him/her have a good shoulder cannon blast at max power with several choosable pred body types for multiplayer.

Graphics: a bit dark but simply beautiful in places too 4 stars.

Sound: very good 5 stars

Fun: always a blast killing aliens but the multiplayer is where the real fun can be found here. 4 stars

Overall: 4 stars could have had more multiplayer options and quite a bit more customization and sadly the campaign mode seems a little thin and lacking but overall a fun game to play with a few minor flaws.

The Good: You can play as the Predator, all the series trademarks are here

The Bad: But done badly, stupid AI, bland and boring graphics, levels, repetitive snore inducing combat

I had high expectations for this game and they were quickly brought down. Once you start playing you'll notice the game feels a lot like Star Wars Battlefront because it was made by the same people. The game sports sub-par graphics that don't do the PSP justice. AVP has an almost non-existent story with no voices just text at the beginning of each mission.

The combat is simple and boring with the mashing of the square button or using your special weapons with circle. You can use everything from Predator's spear, to shoulder cannon, to his throwing disc. Every level is laid out the same and is boring and bland. Each mission has you destroying Predator technology or killing Alien husks.

Some missions even throw in broken stealth by having you turn on your cloak and running past the brain-dead humans. While AVP MAY entertain you for a short time it's nothing special or worth really checking out.
