The cable it self Feels very well made the Main cable coming from the Xbox connection port is very thick and shielded very well, then it splits off to the VGA/Audio side. The audio side of the cable still remains thick while the VGA cable Thins up.

The RCA Jacks are huge suckers, And they're heavy (compared to other RCA Connection jacks) with a Copper plated ring and Pin for connecting to your device.

I use Optical Audio, and have no means of Connecting this Audio RCA jacks to determine their quality.

The optical Output seats nicely, However i had to change my Audio Output on my 360 to Optical Stereo (Not 5.1 or Surround) otherwise i just got an Unbearable whine. However that could just be the Input for the Optical on my computer not Supporting Dolby Surround or 5.1.

The video quality is about as good as you would expect for VGA, nothing fancy but it gets the job done. Did not notice Any ghosting while Playing Halo: Reach, COD: MW3, and various other titles.

I used a KVM Switch and a XIM edge for my Setup, and needed this cable to Tie into my Dual Screen setup and Allows for Quick and easy swapping between my Xbox output (with the VGA Cable) and my Computer (uses DVI)

Also, just to throw it in what i'm viewing this cable through is a Dell 23" LED flatscreen.

All in All, if you're looking to have your Xbox ran through a Computer monitor (Or a TV with an Optional VGA input) this cable would work. However the Bigger the Screen the more chances you will run into of Ghosting. Regardless if you have a High Quality cable or some cheap made knock-off.. It's the nature of VGA to do that, and not really the Cables fault.

This is a great alternative to the expensive Microsoft product. It even comes with the audio converter so you don't have to purchase it separately . The quality is also great, i havent experienced any "ghosting" even at a higher quality

Let me start off by saying the whole over the top violence and gore thing is just a marketing technique to generate more attention and controversy toward State of Emergency. It's like one long insane Ichy and Scratchy cartoon. The blood and gore is also optional so a wider audience can play. Basicaly you just run around and create a tremendous amount of havoc. While it can get boring it is actualy pretty entertaining and addictive. I reccomend you stay clear of Revolution mode and dive right into the Chaos mode. Revolution mode is a bunch of boring missions that take place in the riots, while chaos is more of an arcade style beat em up that you take place in. All in all you can't go too wrong buying this game. It is only 20 bucks and if nothing more it will at least entertain you for a couple of days. I suggest you rent it first and see how interested you still are when you have to return it, then you can properly determine whether or not it's worth a purchase.

As others have said before DISREGARD everything that you have read or heard about the PS2 form of this game, Xbox fixed all of those problems!

This is def. one of my favorite games that I have played yet. Its just an awsome game to do if you want to shut off your brain for a few hours and just want to go around randomly killing people with a wide variety of guns and other fun gadgets.

The plot and basis for the game did not have that much depth to it, but thats expected. I did like all the missions even if they did start to get a little repetitive after the first 30.

The graphics were good, but I didnt like the movement of some of the characters, some of them seemed very stiff and hard to control.

So as I said if you just want to play a fun game for awhile, that doesent make you have to starin your brain then def. rent/buy State of Emergency!

This game is incredible, however I dont get to play my copy because "The Game Kingz" (despite guaranteeing it would play) sent me a horrendously scratched copy in a Kingdome Hearts package. Give this game a try buy dont get it from The Game Peasantz.

Honest reviews on State of Emergency - Xbox

If you enjoy old school hack-n-slash stuff from yesteryear, then State of Emergency will be right up your alley! With a heavy dose of chaos, fast paced, and packed full-gore, Rockstar's ultra-violent charged arcade-style mindless, mayhem, massive, murder,mosh-mash-up will provide vast therapeutic accommodations for even the worst cases of ADD!!

I'm a Harmonix veteran. I played Guitar Hero 1 back on the PS2 at a friend's house ALL the time. Then Guitar Hero 2 came out of the Xbox 360. I instantly grabbed it and I played all day (and sometimes all night). I was hooked. I couldn't get enough of it. Then Rock Band/Rock Band 2 blew me away.

I'm a musician/artist at heart as well as an avid video gamer. The combination here is perfect. Rock Band was excellent, Rock Band 2 improved it, and Rock Band 3 perfects it.

I grabbed The Doors pack instantly on Day 1 of RB3 purchase and I've been practicing the hell out of the keys. It's a real piano, guys. The game is really re-teaching me how to play piano. It has training, "learn an instrument" for the Pro Drums/Keys/Guitar, and of course on Expert Pro Keyboard you are literally playing the legit piano music for the song. You can then take it to a real piano and play it (and impress all those women with Bohemian Rhapsody by playing it and not just singing along haha!).

Rock Band 3 is the only music game you will ever need (until Harmonix releases a new revolutionary product, which they will). Trust me.

And shut the hell up about "buy a real instrument". This game inspires that in some people, and for other people they just want to have some fun. That's okay. That argument has a flaw: Madden fans? Go buy a real football. Tiger Woods fans? Go buy real wome-err golf set. Gears of War fans? Go buy a real chainsaw.

See what I did there?

Anyway, if you're thinking about buying this, then go ahead and do it. You won't be disappointed (except wait on the Pro Guitar, I hear the current 100+ button one isn't worth the money yet. There's a full stringed, touch sensored neck, real guitar/controller hybrid coming out).

Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>

As someone who has had over 10 years of classical piano training I've always had a strong interest in playing music. I taught myself guitar, bass, drums and while I'm not a virtuoso at these other instruments I enjoy playing and practicing them alone and with others.

Along with actually playing real instruments I've been a hardcore rhythm gamer and fan of Harmonix's past titles including GH1, GH2, RB1, RB2, and now RB3. I've invested a lot of money into the Rock band platform over the years but over the last 12 months or so I began to lose interest. Playing along to songs using 5 colored buttons had lost its appeal on me somehow.

Before last week I hadn't played a Rock Band game for more than 6 months. ... and yet prior to getting burnt out I played the game at least 3 times a week. I'm really excited by the direction Harmonix has taken with Rock Band 3 for multiple reasons.

For one, the time spent learning these songs on "plastic instruments" now translates perfectly to real instruments. As of right now I only own the keyboard peripheral but spending time in practice mode isn't just a way of getting a higher score in the game anymore; it's a way of learning the actual piano/keyboard part for the song. It's a complete reinvention of what a music game is capable of and for that alone Rock Band 3 deserves 5 stars and my highest recommendation to any rhythm gamer who wants to become even more involved with the music they are "playing" in the game.

The setlist might seem strange to longtime fans of the genre but I guarantee that every one of the on-disc songs has at least one part that is a joy to play. Whether it's the bass line to "Antibodies" or the guitar part to "Oh My God" Harmonix made sure to pick songs that had parts that are actually FUN to play. It's easily the most fun I've had playing any set list in the Rock Band series.

In short: Rock Band 3 is an epic achievement in game design and should be played by anyone who has ever enjoyed a Harmonix title.

Best Deals for Mad Catz Rock Band 3 Wireless Keyboard Bundle with Rock Band 3

So many more features than Rock Band 2. So much more user friendly. Better visuals. All songs are unlocked when you pop it in the tray, but instead you unlock new venues and outfits, so you still have unlockables.

This game is perfect.

You can now hop in/out with your friends mid-song, you can change you difficulty in the middle of the song. If I want to switch instruments I just grab the new instrument, press start, and take over the profile. What more could you ask for?

The keyboard is great. It's only 2 octaves but feels like a real keyboard... and it's a lot harder than I was expecting. Pro drums is so much fun, I can concentrate on playing my part instead of trying to figure out whether I'm supposed to hit a tom or a cymbal. They also swap the hi-hat/snare pads on songs that require it (think about the mess that was everlong on ghwt; in RB3, I just move your yellow cymbal a little more to the left and fire it up).

There's really not much else more to say, just look at all the 5 star reviews or the high score on metacritic.

Honest reviews on Mad Catz Rock Band 3 Wireless Keyboard Bundle with Rock Band 3

Not much to say about Rock Band 3 itself (there's hundreds of other reviews) or the keyboard, but I thought I'd throw in some useful information. When I received this item, I got the normal keyboard box, but on the back side it states rather clearly that the game is -notincluded. After inquiry, the seller informed me that the game IS packaged inside the box, so if you are frustrated that the game is missing from the bundle, look inside (if you suspect that it won't be in there, carefully remove the adhesive surfaces so you can reattach them if it is actually missing). A rather poor way of shipping the bundle, but in the long run it's a very much minor issue altogether.

...if they take piano lessons.

With Rock Band 3, Harmonix has decided to take a bold step into the world of pseudo-musicianship. The keyboard peripheral is an attempt to teach you how to play an actual musical instrument. In this case, a two octave keyboard. And therein lies one of it's limitations. This game can teach you how to manipulate a keyboard with one hand, but that is only getting half the job done.

The other limitation lies in the fact that Harmonix has merely extended their musical notation system to include the extra keys of the controller instead of adopting the more classical musical notation system that musicians actually use. Through repetition it will be possible to transfer this learning to a real world situation, but only for the songs you learn to play in Rock Band on Pro Mode Expert difficulty. And only if your band doesn't expect you to play the bass parts.

I think that expectations should be tempered with regard to what musicianship may be gained from this video game. However, as a video game control device, the keyboard is extremely fun to play with. If the Pro Keys mode is too intimidating, or just too frustrating, you can also play in regular mode which lets you reduce the number of viable keys down to the familiar five.

With it's working MIDI port, this is as real a musical instrument as you are going to be able to play with Rock Band until the Fender Squier is released next year. I can certainly see how this might whet the appetite of someone who might be interested in pursuing a more serious study of music, but as a means to an end, it should be remembered that this is first and foremost a video game.

Having said all of that, I have been a musician for thirty years. I have studied music classically and I have also learned that not everything can be taught in "schools". Therefore, I can not dismiss this attempt to cross the line between virtual learning and real. Who knows if this game will inspire anyone to become a "real" musician. I do know that this is the only party game I play at my house...

...and I would remind all of my musician friends who revile the age of plastic intruments, that this same scorn was evidenced when computer music came of age. There are those that embrace the future and there are those who are left behind. And the bottom line is if you enjoy music and you enjoy video games, then you should be having fun playing Rock Band.

If you are deciding between Tiger Woods 2004 or Links 2004, I will tell you the differences.

GAMEPLAY:

Both games are set up very nicely. Both have the great analog swing. The only problem with Tiger Woods is once you have your player stats maxed out it becomes unrealistic because your drives go 370 yards consistently, which makes the game too easy. Links, it takes awhile to max your stats, and once you do its still realistic, meaning you'll need a good drive and good second shot to make it on the Green in 2 on a par 5. As far as putting, Links has Tiger beat by a huge margain. On Links you get a nice chart layout and the analog putting feels so real. On Tiger it gives you a caddy tip and the grid really stinks. To spin the ball, Tiger still has the arcade feel where you spin the ball after its hit. On Links you choose the spin before you hit it, just like in real life.

ADVANTAGE: LINKS 2004

COURSES/GOLFERS/ITEMS(UNLOCKABLES):

Tiger Woods has a ton more courses, compared to only 9 on Links. Tiger also has a lot more PGA Golfers on the game, like Tiger, Vijay, Daly, Furyk, and more compared to Links 3 golfers. Tiger Woods has THE BEST create a golfer ever!!!! Links you choose a player model and change his clothes. In Tiger you can create your player (identical to you!) and have all kinds of unlockables to fit to him including clubs, shoes, gloves, hats, etc. There is just so much.

ADVANTAGE: TIGER WOODS by far!!

CAREER MODE:

In Links you play in a series of Tournaments to earn cash to buy attributes. In Tiger you can play through an entire "almost real" PGA Tour season with the real events, like at Kapalua (the Merceds Championship) starting in January in Hawaii. Also included are the 4 majors, just named something different. This gives Tiger a major advantage as far as replay value.

ADVANTAGE: TIGER

OVERALL:

Tiger Woods has a ton more options, courses, golfers, unlockables. The gameplay is a little more unrealistic (not like Mario Golf or Hot Shots Golf though) and the putting is not as good as Links. The create a player and career mode is awesome.

Links has the better gameplay but lacks the options and unlockables cool stuff found in Tiger. The gameplay is so much more realistic than Tigers though, and the graphics are better.

If you are looking for a game with better gameplay and don't care about the options, get Links. If you are someone who loves the all the good unlockables and true PGA Tour season play, get Tiger.

I must first say that the create-a-player is by far the best one I've ever seen on any video game. So if you're like me, that's a huge selling point. You can customize everything on the guy, down to their socks and bling-bling earrings.

Gameplay is really quite easy to learn and quite easy to be good at. This may be a problem for some of the purists/realists, but for people who just want to pick up the game, play and be good, it works well. Unlike real golf, the gameplay isn't frustrating!

But what is agonizingly frustrating is the putting. You get virtually no idea of what way the green is going. All you have to go by is the Caddy's Advice, who tells you to aim 2 feet left and 3 feet long. How far is a foot? I have no idea! It's usually just pure luck if you knock down a put of any distance.

I think the old "Golf" game on Nintendo had a better putting gameplay (and that was 15 years ago).

If you can get past the putting, this game is great fun. The career mode seems quite lengthy and will probably keep me entertained for hours upon hours. I'd recommend this game for my money.

Best Deals for Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004 - Xbox

The programmers at EA Sports have out done themselves: I must first say that the create-a-player is fantastic. It is fun to make your player as normal or as bizarre as you want. You can customize everything on the character, from their socks to the bling-bling.

Gameplay is really quite easy to learn. For people who just want to pick up golf,it can be good experience. Unlike real golf, the gameplay isn't frustrating!

Putting can be a challenge. Once you do it a few times, you can get the hang of it.

Your character can quickly earn money and endorsements. It lets you unlock different aspects of the game from favorite golf holes to different clothes to purchase.

FUN FUN FUN! This game is great fun. The career mode seems quite lengthy and will probably be entertaining for hours upon hours. I'd highly recommend this game. After I wear this game out, I will buy 2005.

Honest reviews on Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004 - Xbox

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004 has its greats and it has its downers. The best thing about Tiger Woods is the create a golfer mode. It is the best out of every game where you can create a player. You can go from choosing your complexion to changing your eye set. The great create a golfer mode is why people love this game.

As for the modes, you can play a PGA Tour season, a World Tour where you face a bunch of real and fake golfers and get cash if you beat them. You can also play scenerios, where maybe you have to make a very long putt to get a better putter.

As for the gameplay, your left thumbstick is like the backswing and downswing of your club. If you swing the stick staright up and down, you will hit it straight. If you move the stick accidentally in other directions, you will hit it into the rough.

But, just like real golf, the putting is impossible. You dont take a full swing. The caddy advice says to aim it maybe 3 inches left but it is very frustrating.

Overall, Tiger Woods is a good game. With extras like getting sponsors like Nike and Adidas, you could select any club and get money. Tiger Woods 2005 will probably be better, so try that one out before anything.

The game is way too easy. It is very difficult to miss a fairway. Chip shots stop unrealistically quick. Putting simple as well. Graphics are great though. A good looking game but not realistic.

Everyone knows MS over charges people for simple, simple accessories. The hard drives for the 360's are probably priced the worst. I was very skeptical when I saw this as it's 3rd party manufactured. Thoughts through my head were saying "What if I get banned from Live or worse it doesn't even work." Well fear not it works perfectly fine. I even transferred all my game data from my old Xbox Elite 120GB to this and it was smooth sailing. Games install fine on this and play fine.

This hard drive lacks the invisible partition that allows you to play original Xbox games on your 360. It works fine for 360 games but you cannot play any original xbox games at all with this hard drive. I gave it three stars because besides backwards compatibility it works just fine.

Best Deals for 250G HDD Hard Disk Drive For Microsoft Xbox 360 Slim with USB 2.0

(Read on for the "how to" install instructions).

The price is more realistically close to what a 250gb hdd worth. 100$+ on a 250gb hdd? no thanks.

Works as a charm. you`ll feel really stupid if you went with the 100$ over this one since they do the same thing.

-Little instruction on the installation, this was my 1st time installing hdd on the slim, so obviously I tried to open the upper base\vent (like the original xbox 360), and had a problem with that. so I checked a video and noticed that it`s indeed a base\vent but it was`t the upper one, it was the bottom one. so turn your xbox slim upside down and you`ll notice a small button thingy you can push, then part of the vent will come off revealing the place where you can slide down the hdd, and look at the socket inside and you`ll know which way to insert the hdd to fit the socket. also make sure the pull up thingy is outside so if you wanted to take the hdd out you can just pull the tip thingy up.

-turn on your xbox, and go from the dashboard to system settings, and go to the 250gb hdd, and from the options you may do a format or change the name of the hdd. also you can go to the 4gb flash drive and move anything you like over to the 250gb.

have fun.

Excellent. Works great, installs like the 100.00 version and performs identically as far as I can tell. Well worth the money. Don't just buy one, by more. It can even be put into an older style Xbox 360 case, upgrade from 20 to 250 cheaper.

This Hard Disk Drive (HDD) seems to be a good product. I have used it to download some online content and it was immediately recognized by my XBOX 360 Slim model. But when I tried to play 5 older games (all of which appear on the XBOX Compatibility List), none would play. Otherwise, it installed fast and seems to work with current 360 games (my Kinect Games worked fine). I realized that Forrest's review, stating the same issue, was posted two days after I ordered mine. But others are now forewarned, if that is a desirable attribute you are expecting from your expanded 360 HDD... I will update if other issues arise.

Honest reviews on My Little Pony MLP Friendship is Magic Fluttershy Twilight Sparkle

It just got shipped to me yesterday and I opened it with delight this morning. This is the first decal I've ordered from this seller.

The quality is just a little more durable than an average sticker so don't really expect more than that. But the image quality is very nice. :D

It was a bit difficult to actually put on the DSi, but the adjusting phase was also part of my OCD nature for it to be perfect. But once things got aligned it looked really great. However, the sticker is just a tiny bit big.

Seller: I do recommend getting actual DS models to put your stickers on to see the way they look rather than a digital image. The sticker is fine on the cover if you get it right (which I did~), but the top portion for the inside there is a placement issue with the speakers and the rounded edges of the DSi. I should be able to post images of my actual DSi with the stickers on them once I find my camera.

(Also, I would recommend eliminating the part that goes under the screen on the bottom portion of the DSi with the buttons and turning that into two stickers. That part is a bit too big to look right. Plus it would help with alignment issues.)

Thank you very much! It's a wonderful looking sticker on my DSi and I am very pleased with it.

Off the bat, the controller looked pretty cool. The box it comes in is pretty stylish. It may look bulky compared to the original PS3 controller but it feels great. The nubs cave in instead of out, the L2 and R2 buttons are more like triggers, and the side grips give the controller a good feel. It even comes with two special buttons underneath that change the light colors and provides an alternate way to use certain buttons (think of it like having 2 "X" buttons or 2 L3 buttons). The battery on this thing is RIDICULOUS. I've gone more than a week of average gaming without charging it. There are a couple of downsides, but they're not HUGE. The placement of the START, SELECT and HOME buttons is kind of weird. There are times when I'm playing a game and my left thumb accidentally touches the HOME button. It gets annoying but it doesn't happen often. Also it has no vibration function, which sucks but you'll live.

This was a good buy, and is very good controller. I really like the green color. The rubber grip feels good in the hand, and there are no dead zone issues.

This controller does however have a few annyoing flaws. There is no sixaxis support, which can be an issue in some game, -1 star. Also, there is no way to disable the extra buttons on the bottom of the controller. I have big hands, and I always accidently hit these buttons in the heat of the action. The only thing I can do to fix this is set them to control the illumination of the sticks instead of mimicking a PS button. That way when I bump them all that happens is the LEDs change color or shut off. No big deal really, but it is annoying, -1 star for that.

Capcom Classics Collection Volume 2

Volume 2!! This is another awesome collection of games from the golden era of arcade! Many games here were made for NES and SNES, but now we get REAL arcade versions!

Each game looks wonderful and comes with history info, unlockable art, tips, cast, and music. You can adjust the screen, difficulty, etc.... Progress can be saved anytime during gameplay. Multiple players can play the shooter and brawler games together for more fun. These games really test your reflexes. Most games have beautiful graphics. The game designers' vivid imagination shines. I hope Capcom will make a volume 3 with Dark Stalkers.

Here are the machines:

1941:Counter Attack. A vertical shooter. You shoot up German WW2 planes, ships, vehicles, etc... Good game.

Avengers: A vertical brawler. Average game.

Black Tiger: A horizontal platformer similar to Ghosts 'n Goblins series. Medieval setting. Good game.

Block Block: A ping-pong game similar to Arcanoid(not sure of the spelling). Good game.

Captain Commando: A horizontal brawler similar to Streets of Rage, Golden Axe and Final Fight. You can pick up cool guns, operate robots(similar to riding on beasts from Golden Axe). Enemy design could be better. Good game.

Eco Fighter: A zany horizontal shooter. Control is similar to Forgotten Worlds. Nice graphics. I think this game was never released in U.S. arcades because it speaks Japanese. Great game.

The King of Dragons: A horizontal brawler with mediveal setting. Some RPG elements because you level up various statistics. Bigger and better weapons/armors are acquired as you progress. Nice graphics. Great game.

Knights of The Round: A mediveal horizontal brawler. Bigger and better weapons/armors are acquired as you progress. Nice graphics. Great game.

Last Duel: A futuristic shooter. Decent game.

Magic Sword: A simple medieval horizontal brawler. You unlock jail doors to recruit fellow fighters that act like satellite. Good game.

Mega Twins: A cute cartoon horizontal platformer. I think this was never released in U.S. arcades. Great game.

Quiz & Dragons: A trivia game. Good game.

Side Arms: Hyper Dyne. A futuristic horizontal shooter. You control a jet pack wearing hero then combine with another jet suit for more cool fire power. Average game.

Street Fighter: The original fighter game. The original arcade machine have 2 big 'power' sensitive buttons, the hitting strength determined heavy, medium or light attack. You literally get a work-out playing this game. Funky control with cheesy yet funny voice actor. Good game.

Strider: A futuristic horizontal platformer. You control a futuristic Ninja with sword slash attack. Awesome graphics. Cool design. There are various spoken languages between levels, including Japanese, Russian and Chinese. I played this game on Genesis but Genesis version didn't have voice-overs, so the arcade version in this Capcom Classics Collection V2 is truly great. Superb game.

Super Street Fighter II Turbo: A fighter game. Similar to earlier Street Fighter II games with more characters like Cammy, Fei Long, T.Hawk, and Dee Jay. There is NO loading time between matches. Superb game.

The Speed Rumbler: A top-view driving shooter. You control a land vehicle. Horrible game.

Three Wonders: Its actually 3 games in one. Platform, shooter, and puzzle. The puzzle game is similar to Pengo, you push blocks to crush enemies. The horizontal platform and shooter games are great, the puzzle one decent.

Tiger Road: A horizontal brawler similar to Trojan. Medieval Far-East setting. Good game.

Varth: A futuristic vertical shooter. Good game.

This is a must buy for all REAL gamers. Old school gamers will absolutely love it. Thanks Capcom for making this game!

Boy this collection is much more expensive than when I bought it. Now I enjoy all the games I couldn't afford to play way back when. The transition to home console (original x-box in this case)seems flawless. A few of the titles are filler, but overall a whole lotta fun!

This is all the fun of the arcade without blowing tons of quarters. I loved Capt Commando as a kid and this is just like the arcade. Not like when Double Dragon went to the Nintendo. There is a huge selection of multi player games here for youung and old alike. I highly recomend it for anyone from the 80s or anybody that loves good old arcade games.

Alas, this excellent compilation of games is only compatible with ORIGINAL Xbox (not Xbox 360) consoles. [Anyone doubting the veracity my assertion can verify it by consulting Wikipedia's pertinent article ("List of Xbox games compatible with Xbox 360").]

Having owned my Sony PS2 console for several years; and having only recently added an Xbox 360 (slim) to my collection of consoles, I must say I'm sort of ironically relieved that my prior purchase of the PS2 version of "Capcom Classics Collection Vol. 2" (as well as "Vol. 1," which is likewise incompatible with Xbox 360) wasn't, in effect, wasted. ;-)

P.S.: I recently also added the (easily confusable, but quite separate) "Capcom Digital Collection" to my collection of Xbox 360 games. I did this primarily because it (unlike the "Capcom Classics Collections" for Sony PS2 and the original Xbox) includes the excellent game "Commando 3."

...what more could you ask for in a first person shooter? First I'd like to say...I absolutely love this game. It is fun and intense. Talk about getting drawn in to a video game, Mace Griffin: Bounty Hunter is addictive! It has long and interesting levels that, at times, seem to never end. You can save if you want to take a break, but only at the last check point(I just pause the game, turn my TV off and leave the XBOX on). The A.I. is better than any other FPS I've ever played. A.I. actually hides from you and it even seems to stratigize to circle around you at times. It's neat to watch. But don't get too watchful, because you'll get ambushed from behind or at your sides.

The outerspace/in-ship levels are absolutely amazing as well. The enemies are a little hard to hit when trying to control the ship, but that makes it challenging and extends the longevity and value of the game in my opinion.

There is NO slow-down when looking around like some FPS's and the texturizing is very good, not as good as say 'TimeSplitters2' for the XBOX, but enough to make it look smooth and beautiful.

Overall this game is a must for any First Person Shooter fan.

I never even heard of this game until recently and I was pleasantly surprised. While it is no halo it is definitely fun and LOOOOONG. I love first person shooters and this did not let me down.

I played the demo on this game and it was totally awsome! You start in your space ship, shoot a couple bad guys..and when ever you want you can get out of the cockpit and walk around the ship...its sweet...anyways then you fly to this big ship and fly inside of it land, get out, then start snipin dudes on a balcony..(all with no loading screens!) i strongly suggest you at least rent it...i will definetly buy it...

This game had great potential, the graphics and sound are awesome. That's really the only positive thing I can say about it. The game seems to be buggy on Xbox. Every once in a while, when you complete an objective, "Objective Completed" flashes acoss the screen. The next objective may not be triggered. Now you've got nothing to do but restart it and hope it lets you move on next time. It will let you eventually if you don't mind repeating the levels over and over. After getting sick of this, I got disgusted and handed it over to my brother to try on his Xbox. The results were the same. Don't waste your money!

This game is a neat idea, and it has been encouraging me to walk more. For me having something that tracks my activity is a motivator. When you haven't completed the 3000 steps a day (user adjustable at any time, 3k is default, but if you continually surpass the daily goal the game will suggest raising it) the pedometer blinks red, making me feel like I need to get out there and walk. Yesterday I went for a walk when I never would have before. So the game is nice if that sort of thing can motivate you. I would think if you have someone in your family to compete with it would be an even bigger motivator.

The little games are ok. Walking 10K steps gets you a picture. As you walk more the picture slowly fills in like a connect the dots kind of thing. It gives you hints as the picture fills in, and some of them are very hard to guess, obscure things. You can also see your daily activity in graphs, but it would be a lot more interesting if the pedometers worked better. Since the meters only register activity of at least 10 seconds, it doesn't count all those quick walks across the house or office that can add up.

The pedometers seem to be well built and tough. 4.5cm x 3.75cm and about 1 cm thick. A little light flashes red when you haven't met your target and green when you have. It shuts off by itself and the manual says the battery will last about 6 months with normal use. There is a large button on it used to sync it with the DS. Syncing is usually very quick and easy, you press the button for one second and it's done. I occasionally get an error and have to try again though. Never an issue though.

After syncing it runs through your day making little comments like "This is the earliest you have started this month" or "This is the longest walk you have ever gone on." It then compares your walking to an animal which usually seems pretty inaccurate. I went on an hour long walk in the day, but had a lot of short walks around the office in the evening. The game said I was very active in the evening although I had a huge block of aerobic steps in the day (aerobic=activity over 10 minutes).

The game also gives you a mini goal for the next day like do some stretching or cut fats out of your diet. When you sync the following day and tell it you are done for the day it asks if you completed your mini goal. Nothing happens if you do or don't, I guess it's just an encouragement to think about what you do and eat.

Each pedometer comes with a clip for attaching to your pocket. You need a small screwdriver to attach the clip. I have not yet used the clip myself and not sure if I will since putting the meter in my pocket is easier. Seems to work well loose in a pocket. It also has a place to attach a lanyard, although I have read that if it can swing on a lanyard you will not get accurate results.

At first I thought most of my steps weren't registering due to walking barefoot, something the manual warns against. But after further reading, as I said above, it only registers activity of over 10 seconds. I was seeing great lengths of inactivity, that were inaccurate because I was moving, but it was inconsistent movement so it didn't register. The game was saying I didn't move for 2 hours, which wasn't true. Stop and go stuff won't register. It did seem to log jogging even though the manual said it may not be accurate. I am not sure if it was accurate or not (It did not give me an error message as another reviewer has stated, I will try again at a greater duration and see what happens and change this review if necessary). I also ran in place for a few minutes and it logged that fine.

For walking outside on the road at a steady pace I found it to be quite accurate. I walked at the same pace for 20 minutes and the graph for those 20 minutes was even for the whole duration. No spikes or drops. I walk at a fairly brisk pace also, and the game had no problems with it.

A major drawback for me is that there is no off button on the pedometers. I cycle to work sometimes and with a pedometer in my pocket all the shaking it gets from the road registered thousands of steps. If the pedometer is lying horizontal (for instance in a bag on the bike's rack) it isn't supposed to register as well, but it still does register some. Not as much when it's my pocket though. So unless I have a place to lay it somewhere flat on the bike, it greatly skews the number of steps I supposedly took for the day.

Also the game does not measure miles walked. A minor drawback but at least you don't have to calibrate the pedometer because of it.

Overall I am happy with it. I just really wish it had an off button so I could better results when biking to work. For me the game is helping me get more exercise, even if it's just walking.

Update: I have to say I have enjoyed seeing my walking patterns everyday and I am walking just to make sure I reach my goal in the game. I still have not had any errors after almost a weeks use due to jogging or fast movements.

I looked into getting a real pedometer today, specifically this one: Omron HJ-720ITC Pocket Pedometer with Advanced Omron Health Management Software. It seems to be a full featured pedometer that you can upload your daily stats to a PC. I read the reviews and read the manual for it. The Omron has much of the same warnings of inaccuracies as the games pedometers (may not be accurate with high impact, jogging, etc). You can't switch it off, but you can read your daily steps on the unit unlike the game's meters that just blink a light. The Omron resets at 12 AM the games at 3AM. The Omron's included software looks to be far better than the DS's though, but much more straight forward. The Omron is cheaper, but the DS game gives you two meters and is meant more as a family fun game that might interested kids over a real pedometer.

After looking at a few pedometers, the game's included ones seem pretty typical except for not being able to read you exact steps on the unit. They all have their inaccuracies. When I grow sick of PT: Walking, I just pay pick up a fancier meter.

I've only had the game for two days, but I am quite pleased I got it. One of the things I like is that the pedometer is so small and can easily and discreetly clip to my waistband (or on other clothing). You can set a goal for the number of steps you take each day and the flashing light goes from red to green once you achieve your goal (the faint light only flashes while you are walking). When you upload your steps, you can see your activity by the hour for each day (there are also other graphs so you can see your information in a few different ways you can see your weekly activity patterns, monthly activity patterns, average steps, etc.). The game also has 100 images that you unlock by achieving a certain amount of steps. For example, after you walk 10,000 steps, you unlock the first picture, and 10,000 more steps unlocks the second picture (I haven't unlocked this one yet). You can also compare your steps and records with other family members or use wi-fi to see how your records compare with those of other people. You can import a mii from the wii or else create one in the game. Aside from seeing your records in various ways, unlocking images, and editing your mii, there isn't much to do with the software. However, the fact that the pedometer is so easy to carry around and that you have little goals to meet definitely motivates me to walk more. I would highly recommend it if you don't already use a pedometer regularly. However, if you already use one, I doubt this game would really increase your motivation.

I've had this Trainer since it came out and it told me 2 days ago that its known me 10 days now and enjoyed everyone of them! I have to say I have really like it too! I just started working at home and wanted to make sure I got the proper exercise each day. I've had a pedometer before, but just noting that my steps were up to 5000 did nothing to get me to increase my walks. This little gadget let me import my Mi and now I have a familiar look as I hear about my day. Some people have mentioned that they had trouble getting an accurate count with socks or bare feet...I did not. I like being able to quickly look at the trainer during the day and seeing red or green. When I see green early in the day; I get a big smile. I now always make sure I make the goal for the day. At night when I check in I'm told what kind of an animal my walking resembled that day...deer, ant, and others; plus it gives you little reminder tips for the day (eat more vegetables, eat less sugar, stand straight when you walk etc.. I like to look at my calendar and see my walking graph rising, never less for me! The data I submit is saved for 5 years. I like the way it encourages me to up my goal when I met mine for some. I would not be this interested with a simple pedometer. I am a retired adult. When the software communicates it gives a squeaky sound for the voice, that I could do without. I have had an error message a few times when I tried to load my data; but I know that's because I wasn't holding it dead on. When I went back one step and tried again it worked smoothly. I am sold on this product and would recommend it to anyone who likes this type of trainer. I paid $45.00 for it and feel it was worth it.

Honest reviews on Personal Trainer Walking

So I've used this game/ds cartridge/activity meter/whatever you want to call it for a few days now. I really love it. I purchased this to enhance my DSi experience, not because I expected to lose weight. I love all these gadgets that make our life better while we fool around on the DS. I didn't expect some high tech pedometer--just a fun little thing to play with for a while.

I walk around barefoot all the time. I work at home. I never wear shoes, unless I absolutely have to. The activity meter registered my steps just fine. It also registered my steps when I ran as well. Overall, it worked well despite the warnings.

Miis For the first activity meter, I imported my mii from the wii. I wish there was more interaction back and forth, because my mii on the wii is getting a little porky due to my wii fit activity! However, my mii on the ds is getting a bit healthier looking. Super easy to connect. For the second activity meter, I created a mii, which was also pretty easy and fun. Being the first DS game to use mii's, I was quite impressed. Like I said, I wish they were more connected to the wii.

DogI am waiting for my third activity meter to arrive so I can clip it to my dog. You can't really leave it on a dog while you aren't home, but it's an added little feature that makes the overall experience of Personal Training:Walking fun. Soon, one of pugs will be helping to illuminate the house and joining in on the space walk, with his own little mii to represent him!

Mini-Games These are like little goals. Keep the house lit and walk the world. Space Walk is a combined game with people from all over the world. While these may not be super fun for children, I enjoy plugging records in to see how far my household and I have progressed. I'm also trying to win some trophies before the other in my household do.

View Worldwide Rankings Using wi-fi, you can compare and compete with people from all over the world. Seriously, you can despite the other reviews saying you can't. This could be a huge motivator for some people. It's also just plain fun to see how you rank globally.

Activity Meter It's charts and graphs mostly, but you can rate your day and leave notes. This is helpful if you had a particularly lazy or eventful day. The DS has yet to call me fat, which my wii fit has several times when I don't weigh in every day. "Why have you gained 5 pounds, is it because you haven't exercised? huh, huh?" Okay, maybe it's not quite that bad, but you get my drift. I was called a koala on a particularly lazy day. It's really fun to go back and see when you were active. Oh that is when I walked to the car. That is when I walked the dog, etc...

Compared to Pedometer I busted out my old pedometer, which has the same inaccuracy warnings as the nintendo activity meter about being barefoot and running. I compared the results over the course of a day, and they were pretty close, about 60 steps apart. That is a normal day, with some running after dogs, walking, etc... Nintendo does not bill this as a pedometer and it really isn't...I would not buy one of these instead of a pedometer if you are trying to start a fitness routine. I use my nike+ for that. It allows for calibration and has all sorts of features. The nintendo activity meter is for fun! It just has a natural side benefit of promoting good health and exercise. (Of course, I didn't give up my yoga routine when I got the wii fit either, to each his own, i suppose.)

Overall, I'm super happy with this game and the activity meter.

EDIT: My partner just checked his first rhythm and was super excited, as he was able to see exactly when he did what by the activity chart. It was obvious when he walked the dog at 7 a.m., when he walked from his desk to the car around 8 p.m., etc... He is also way too excited that he reached his step goal before me today. He's not so excited that we only generate enough power for a flashlight. Perhaps, if we set our step goal higher, we'll be motivated to walk more and power something stronger.

Overall, it's a ton of fun to see how your activity changes through the day. We'll be working on not being so lazy during the day perhaps...

I was excited that something "new" in the pedometer world was entering the picture. As someone who coaches others to "get moving more" as a weight loss instructor, I was excited to get to try this out even if it motivates to move just a little. First, I should state it's not a "fitness game" as some, in discussions elsewhere about this new item, have thought because of Nintendo being the maker. It is a pedometer used to "chart your life's rhythm". according to Nintendo although it has some electronic features to it. I clipped it on my shoelace but it's easily placed anywhere...That said, the Nintendo aspect of it is that you can view charts showing you when you were most active during the day and which days you were most active.

Also, you can unlock pictures but not in a game-play kind of way. It'll just show you a picture after you met your step goal and you get to see more of it the next time you walk. You can sync up to compare how far you walked with other walkers who are on the same game cartridge.

If you wish to know how many steps your dog took while at work you (seriously; it has this) create an aniimal for your mii and put it on his or her collar and it will chart them too. I am not sure why I would need to chart this, but I thought I'd throw out that part of the instructions for those who are curious of Rover's goings on..I guess it could be handy if they jumped the fence while you were at work and you wondered how far they walked before coming home???? :-)

That said, it does have some glitches that I think would steer me to simply recommend a regular pedometer that counts all your steps for over the price of this. And what are the glitches?

First, it only counts your steps in ten second intervals. So that step accuracy is lower than my currently cheaper old school pedometer. My basic cheap pedometer reacts to movcment rather than amount of time within the movement so, when I compared the two and counted my steps, my ten dollar pedometer caught ever step and this one missed several. However, if I walk slowly this one worked pefectly so I do think this could fit the bill for being different and being accurate for many but if you speed up your steps know that you may actually be taking many more steps than will register according to the manual and my own count vs. what showed up.

This from the product manual noting when your reading will most likely be inaccurate:

Walking in a crowd or other situation where you stop and start repeatedly.

If the meter is loose inside a bag or held or attached loosely by a strap.

If the movement is different from walking, like jogging, running or other vigorous activity. (THIS IS THE ONE THAT GETS ME MOST; IT WILL SHOW YOU AN ERROR MESSAGE IF YOU MOVE TOO QUICKLY; IT IS MY GOAL TO GET PEOPLE TO INCREASE THEIR INTENSITY AS THEY WALK IN ORDER TO BURN MORE CALORIES...THIS MAKES INCREASING INTENSITY A "NEGATIVE"...IT WONT COUNT UNLESS YOU WALK SLOWLY!)

If the movement is softened by shuffling, walking barefoot or wearing slippers or sandals. (TAKE IT OFF WHILE IN THE HOUSE? HOW DOES THAT HELP YOU COUNT STEPS ALL DAY LONG?)

If the meter is horizontal.

If the meter is used in a very humid environment. (IF YOU LIVE IN HOUSTON, RUN AWAY! HE HE HE)

Let's face it, if seeing a chart comparing how far you walked each day motivates you then it's worth the extra cost, no matter what the cost...Anything that motivates someone is worth it as you cant put a price on health...but it's got some glitches that something of this price could possibly be improved on. Ideally, one that benefits both walking and running since this will only work for walking.

What do I love about it? If you reach your number of steps goal for the day, it signals you with a green light. And, it did for my own reading, show accuracy although I only used it for one day and didn't venture to humid climates or run.

CONCLUSION: From discussions it seems many are saying the Omron pedometer which was out before this one offers more software and accuracy. I plan to try that one next. As for this one, I could live without the step goals lighting up for the extra cost when I can still read my current basic ten buck pedometer and see if I've reached my goals...so...I gotta pass on the recommendation for the current pricepoint in my opinion. I do like that it signals you when you've reached your step goals. It is my hope that there will soon be a pedometer in the works that truly makes a game of it in order for you to increase your steps with motivation, but it would need to be one that also counts steps if you have to run after your child or dash down a hallway or take the steps at work, or walk at a fast pace rather than cancelling them out when you walk fast as this one did for me.

I bought this product as a surprise for my husband. He's played some of the other fishing games, but wasn't ever truly excited about playing them after about an hour and then they'd sit on the shelf. He doesn't get to fish as much as he'd like to for various health reasons, but he really does enjoy the act of fishing. I thought I would take a chance on this game to see if it would raise his spirits a little. I was very surprised by his reaction to the game. He started out by playing the Rod and Reel part of the game and he enjoyed it a little more than other fishing games he has, but I really noticed his excitement level increase when I heard him laughing and whooping it up with our nephew while they were playing the Bow part of the game. I stood watching them both play the game for a while and it looked like they were having a lot of fun shooting the fish. I guess people really do fish with Bows and Spear Guns. My husband is truly happy with the game and has been playing it non stop since since we got it three days ago. He was having so much fun with it that I had to try it myself and I am not really a video game player, but the controls were very easy and after a couple of tries I was catching fish just like my husband was. I even beat him by shooting a record alligator gar!

I highly recommend this game to anyone who likes fishing and hunting games because this game has something the other games seem to lack, continuous enjoyment after the first few hours of playing. Oh, and the controls are easy enough that even I can play it. It's nice to have a game my family can enjoy together, now if I can just get him to give me a turn with the controller...

Shimano Xtreme fishing is probably the most entertaining fishing game on the Wii. In addition to traditional rod and reel fishing there is bowfishing and spearfishing. The rod and reel fishing is fun but doesn't do anything new for the genre. The main difference in rod fishing is it is a lot faster paced than most other fishing games, you will never be bored sitting and waiting for a bite. Bowfishing and especially spearfishing is where the real excitement starts. In bowfishing you drive around on a boat and use a bow to shoot fish. Spearfishing is a lot like bowfishing except you are underwater in scuba gear and use a speargun. Some fish are bigger and need multiple hits. Spearfishing has a decent soundtrack to go with it and the underwater environments look pretty good. There are a lot of cool props such as downed planes, ancient ruins, sunken ships and bonus treasures. The coolest thing about spearfishing has to be fighting off sharks and alligators while hunting fish. The game becomes a lot of fun while trying to get the highest score you can to get gold medals and unlock new equipment and places. This means hunting the sharks and looking for monster fish. There is also a fish book that keeps track of your biggest catches, and there are a lot of different fish in this game. The other fishing games don't even come close to the number of fish you can catch in this. There is also a multiplayer shooter mode that is actually pretty fun if you have three friends to play with. Hitting that monster fish to steal the lead from one of your friends towards the end is pretty exciting.

I do have some minor complaints about the game. The graphics are "ok" but are not the best. They are about on par with most of the other fishing games offered. Rod fishing isn't as fun as the bowfishing and spearfishing modes. There are some weird instances where the character or fish can swim through objects, but it doesn't happen a lot and it doesn't really affect gameplay. Spearfishing in 3rd person view is kind of cool but it is a lot easier to shoot fish in the first person mode it seems.

If you are looking for a good new fishing experience on the Wii Shimano Xtreme Fishing is definitely a game to pick up. Most other fishing games can get boring and repetitive within an hour of playing. Shimano Xtreme Fishing is really three games in one with the different modes of play. There are a lot of things to unlock and a lot of fish to catch. Freefishing mode and multiplayer also add to the fun and extend the gameplay. If you don't really like fishing games to begin with Shimano Xtreme Fishing probably won't change your mind. Still, there is something satisfying to shooting a 700 lb shark swimming right towards you, so who knows?

If the idea of fighting fish appeals to you, check this game out.

The good stuff

Lots and lots to do. This is three games in one. It has regular rod and reel fishing, bow fishing, and spear fishing with scuba. Each one of these is big enough to be a separate game.

The modes are good. The rod and reel is as good as any rod and reel I've played, maybe better. The bow fishing is tons of fun, but maybe closer to hunting then fishing. My favorite is the spear fishing. You swim around underwater with scuba, shoot a ton of fish and run into sharks (and in one level gators) who attack you.

Multi-player is very fast moving, lots of fun, but for bow fishing and spear fishing (not rod and reel)

Control and sound are great, really tight. Graphics gets the job done ok.

Stuff to know

The T rating is probably because of the fish blood in bow fishing and spear fishing modes.

When in the spear diving mode, push 1 for first person. Definitely much better that way!

You can use a nunchuck to reel in the fishing line, but I didn't see much point in it, liked using the B button better

Though it's a fishing game, the bow action in bow fishing is a lot like hunting

If you like catching fish, you'll like this. Just be sure you are OK with a little fish blood.

Honest reviews on Shimano Xtreme Fishing - Nintendo Wii

This is not a "hardcore fishing simulation." Rather, it is a fast and fun "action fishing" game. Actually, 3 games in one. First there is traditional fishing which is similar to other games, but moves at a much faster pace. Then the game adds bowfishing (using a bow and arrow to shoot at fish from a boat) and spear fishing (swimming underwater and pursuing fish with a speargun.) Both are fun and, as far as I know, totally unique game experiences.

There is also a mutiplayer "shooting gallery" style mode where up to four players can bow or spear fish together.

I think it is suitable for kids. There is a little blood in the water, but the game doesn't really focus on that. Rather you are concentrating on getting a high score and seeing the new types of fish you've caught. There are lots of different fish including many I've never seen in a fishing game before.

My son got this game for Christmas. He began bow fishing so I thought he would enjoy it. He loves it! You can do tournaments or free fish. In addition to bow fishing, you can spear fish or fish with a rod & reel. There are many fishing games out there, but this is the first bow fishing game I have seen. It's unique & fun. I would recommend this game if you love fishing. It's a great game for under $30.

i dug out my old nintendo 64 this past week, and this humble little cartridge was the first that i pulled out. i've been playing it almost non-stop since. how is it that this game is almost 8 years old? amazingly detailed and jaw-dropping environments, excellent control, totally updated enemies, and a pitch-black ambience flow freely through this game. perhaps the most striking feature is the soundtrack. i remember playing this game when it first came out in 1997. i was still pretty young, and it scared the living hell out of me. playing it now i can understand why; the soundtrack is largely comprised of long, ambient organ swells and industrial sounds. far-off cries of terror and garbled, distorted radio transmissions are mixed with the soundtrack during the second half of the game. in some levels, the effect that this has on you can be too strong and will distract you from the game ("breakdown" and "dark citadel" are probably the best examples). turning out the lights and cranking up the sound is a truly immersive experience that is rarely matched, even with modern games. although some parts of the soundtrack can tend to resemble a broken air-conditioner ("staging area" and "the terraformer" for instance), the effect is well suited to the early levels amid the dreary industrial complexes of the base. the levels in hell are designed with one thing in mind: complete terror. the replay value of this game is beefed up by a plethora of secret levels, hidden exits, easter eggs, and a cheat menu that unlocks three "fun" levels that can't be opened any other way.

another reviewer mentioned how small the levels seemed and how there were no wide open areas. this doesn't make much sense to me; some of the levels in this game are absolutely huge and span an amazingly large amount of space; "pitfalls," "spawned fear," "blood keep," "unholy temple," and "dark citadel" are practically endless. the size of many levels dwarfs those on the PC versions. the lack of wide open space, on the other hand, is very intentional. most of the action in this game involves intense, close quarters fighting. the overbearing, crushing sense of claustrophobia is designed to give the player a feeling of no escape; truly a feeling of doom. this is a goal that is rarely missed.

one thing that is instantly noticeable about this game compared to the "classic" doom is the renewed emphasis on puzzle-solving and brain-teasers rather than constant run and gun carnage. make no mistake about it, there is plenty of action in this game. but some of the puzzles in the later levels ("unholy temple" comes to mind) are maddeningly complex and extremely puzzling. all of the enemies sport new, terrifying models and are often tougher to kill than in the PC versions of yore. the pain elementals now release two noticeably more aggressive lost souls at one time and arachnatrons fire double blasts of plasma. these updated enemies cannot replace the chaingunner, spider mastermind, arch-vile, and revenant that were canceled from this game at the last minute during the development phase, however. even in the words of the developers, most of the classic elements of doom save for the single-player game had to be left out due to cart space issues. i recently read that a multi-player function for doom 64 was dropped at the last possible moment in an interview with the original developers. add a multiplayer mode, and this is a five star game. during the media blitz preceding the release of doom 3, much ado was made over the quantum leap between the carnage of the older dooms and the ambience and atmosphere of doom 3. doom 64 is the underrated, oft-neglected missing link between doom II and doom III. the new generation of doom fans never had the chance to play and experience all three of these as they came out like i did, and unfortunately the impact of those separate revolutions can't be duplicated playing these games today. as it stands, doom 64 is definately an acquired taste. if you're an open-minded doom fan, this one is worth a shot for sure. some hardcores might like it, as well. i'm a long-time fan of the PC doom series, and this one fit me just fine. give it a shot...you can pick up a copy for about $20 at most used/vintage video game specialty stores.

Having read the other reviews on this game, I was forced to give my opinion, having played the original games when they first came out and changed the computer game world.

Doom 64 is a wonderful enhancement to the original DOOM series. With 3D environments, upgraded graphics (nice Cacodemon), better AI (the Lost Souls are no longer "dumb" and on fire, just on fire!), this is a worthy successor to the original ID games. The new laser weapon is actually quite good once you learn to use it correctly (read -fire a constant stream).

For today's gamers, i.e. those who were raised on Quake or Duke Nukem, this game will not meet their standards for gameplay, level design, or graphics quality. However, for those who want to see the "next generation" of the original DOOM games, this is the best offering (I am not including the so-called DOOM 3 project here).

Level design is improved over the original DOOM series, and the demons are more frightening and intelligent than ever. The puzzles are somewhat harder, and the hidden levels and secrets are much harder to find than in the original. Graphics are well done, and the levels are large and original. However, there are a number of corners that seem to appear that your soldier can get stuck on -a problem that should not exist for any shooter -however, this is a minor problem in an otherwise great conversion of DOOM.

If you love FPS games or you just love Doom, you need to check out this version. It's definitely alot better looking than anything that has come before it. But, don't expect it to be Quake or Quake 2 because it isn't by any means. "Why would I be interested in it, then?" you may ask...Well, It's Doom and Id Software made it so you know it has to be good. Anyone who's played Doom knows you're in for some intense gameplay when you play Doom. And this game has it in spades. Trust me, it's a difficult one but if you're a FPS fanatic like me...you'll make it through with only a few scratches. Don't let the majority fool you, there is alot to like about Doom 64. It's not like Quake or Quake 2 but, then again, it's not supposed to be.

Honest reviews on Doom 64

What I like most about this game is the new look of the weapons and monsters. This was the first Doom game to really look different. The new weapons and monsters have an awesome design. The only ones that I think looked better in the original are the Lost Souls and Cacodemons. Every other monster is streamlined to look real nice.

The final monster at the end is some kind of big ugly rat thing. An interesting new character.

The levels are pretty darn complicated, I think even moreso than the previous Doom games. It might only be because it's harder to cheat on this game than the computer Doom games.

I thought the music and atmosphere made the game creepy, and the goofy skipped-frame way the monsters moved made the game funny. It's an interesting mix.

This game is fun to play. If you like Doom, you'll like this. There's cool levels and secrets just like in every Doom game.

I am another one that has recently pulled out their old N64 to play. Looking through the bag of games I found Doom 64. My love of Doom began again. I have been a fan of Doom ever since the original came out in 1993 when I was ten years old (22 years old now). This is game is immense fun.

Man, did this bring back old memories. Doom 64 is a then updated version of the classic series. The demons looked better and still had the eeriness the series has always had. This game is also very challenging, I find my self dying every now and then. Luckily I have a N64 memory card that I can load so I don't have to start over without all of the weapons I have picked up along the way.

This game is surprisingly lengthy, hours of game play for the Doom fan that will bring them to a state of heaven.

I recommend this game to anyone who still has an N64 and a video game store near by that sells old/used video games. This is definitely something to pick up. If you are just now discovering the wonderful world of DOOM, this game is for you.
