This game is really hilarious, I bought it for my little brother so was looking to buy some games that didn't cost me a small fortune and it's hard to find games as awesome as this for this price, worth every penny and more! Graphics are Awesome and I love that there are really funny characters... My little brother races a Toilet and the best part, there's even a shopping cart character that I can race against him haha! Thank goodness, because he's been making me play it for HOURS! :) Good Buy!

Review of Jimmie Johnson's Anything With An Engine - Xbox 360
The game's graphics look really polished, there's a lot of personality and humor in it, and the racing is fast and frentic. You can shoot missles, drop landmines, find short-cuts, and use traps! This is like Mario Kart but with way more stuff going on and much better graphics and awesome animation, plus, you can also play as the man himself, Jimmie Johnson! All the drivers have goofy karts (there's even one guy who drives a lazy-boy-chair)! Best part is that 4 people can play it at once on 1 TV screen, or you can race other people online! This is a really fun and funny game for kids and even adults.

Buy Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked - Xbox 360

There are 3 modes of play in the Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked Game for @Kinect: story mode, co-op dance mode and a free play mode. You have to option to select a player or answer a series of questions and let the game choose the player most like you. It was funny when I had my heart set on being selected as one of the Chipettes and the game decided I was more of a Simon. The kids loved it!
The music! Oh, the music is AWESOME! The free play mode seemed to be the fave in our home as the kids took turns dancing to their fave tunes...and a few of your faves. They're everything from the popular "All Star" to the classic "Shake Your Groove Thing" and our family fave "Witch Doctor".
The game is Rated E 10+. For those who prefer a more competitive mode of play, the Story Mode will not disappoint. You will earn points for play on the cruise ship and on land. Or challenge a friend in Co-Op Dance play and the Free Play is perfect for those of us that would rather shake our groove thing in our own kinda' way.

a great game for the whole fsmily! graphics are crisp and the chipmunks seem so real! keeps the kids active for hours! lots of interaction and the kids totally enjoy the adventure!Honest reviews on Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked - Xbox 360
Bought this on sale at BB for $19.99 for my girls 6, 5 and 4 years old. Not worth it. This game is extremely boring. It is supposed to be a dancing game along the lines of Just Dance and Dance Central, but for young kids. The dances are so slow. The music is from the 70's and 80's, so the kids don't know any of the songs. The co-op game means one player dances while the other waits on the side. Then they yell switch, and player two jumps in the middle while player one watches. There is a questionnaire part that asks a series of questions, and then tries to match your answers to the personality of one of the chipmunks. It's just a lame part of the game which wastes time. Save your money as this game will probably drop to about $5 in the next month. My kids played for about 10 minutes, and then begged for the Adventure game or How to Train Your Dragon.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked - Xbox 360
I bought this for my sons (age 8 and 10) that love The Chipmunks. They've now played it twice in the 4 months since I got it. The menus in the game (including the quiz) are very hard to control, which is quite frustrating for kids. Once they finally got dancing, they enjoyed it, but only for a few songs worth. You can have up to 2 players in "co-op" mode, but otherwise it's a 1 player game. Too bad I originally bought it for a birthday party.Friday, December 19, 2014
Designer decal for XBOX 360 Remote Controller - Bone Collector Reviews
I expected a flimsy sticker that would be hard to line up right and would fall off in a week or so, but its actually a pretty thick sticker, was pretty easy to line up, and has lasted a few months now without a single edge falling off. Overall, a solid decal. Definitely worth it

Disney's Planes - Nintendo Wii Review
This could be a great game, except for the fact the instructions are completely useless and the controller is SO sensitive you literally find it hard to fly straight. There are settings when you don't use the Nunchuk for adjusting sensitivity, but the instructions don't tell you what that means and we had it on high and low and it seemed to make no difference. It was slightly easier with the Nunchuk than without, but it really is tough.
It's actually a cool game too but so hard to control I had to give it 1 star because from a playability standpoint my 6 year old was fed up in 20 minutes of trying, and she loved the movie and loves planes in general.
Anyone out there who has figured out how to make this less sensitive, please post a comment I might change my rating if someone can help us out with this. So far, my daughter spent her own money and feels ripped off because she just can't do it (and this is a kid who can play almost any other video game that even adults struggle at).
Graphics 4 stars.
Movie tie-in 5 stars.
Game itself 5 stars.
Playability (due to over sensitive controls) 1 star which is why it gets a one star review!

For a movie that is geared towards the younger set, this game is hard. Hard for the adults too. The multiple dimension and the sensitivity of the game were just too much for all of us. My aunt sent this game to my son whom is 4. He was so excited but was super mad because his game came 3 days late. Well once we finally got it he was dying to play. It is hard the controls are a bit crazy but after playing everyday for a week (he only plays for 1 hour) we got the hang of it. I play when he is sleeping to unlock everything for him. Its a good game but not very child friendlyHonest reviews on Disney's Planes - Nintendo Wii

Best Logitech Cordless Headset for Xbox Deals
Overall, this headset is very well made. There are problems, though, and it's defintely not for everyone. For those seriously considering purchasing this, let me tell you what wont' get from this:
1)Supperior sound quality. For me it sounds good enough, but there is a noticable hit in sound quality from even the regular XBox Live headset (at least through the earpiece). If you're looking for pristine sound, you should look elsewhere.
2)Longevity. If you're the type that likes to game for hours on end, you might want to skip past this as well. The battery lasts between 6-7 hours. For some, that's more than enough. For others, this may not quite fit the bill. On the plus side, at most it only takes an hour and a half for a complete recharge.
Other than that, I have to say it's a darn near perfect XBox headset. First thing to notice when holding it is the feel of the plastic used. It almost feels a little rubbery which greatly enhances its comfort level. Second is that it's pretty light. Considering it houses a Lithium-Ion battery, I would have expected it to be a bit heavier, but it's very nicely balenced. Third is that it's very comfortable to wear. I can't say enough how good it feels compared to other headsets and, for me, it stays put. Even after hanging my head upside down the headset stayed pretty much in place. And, lastly, the wireless capability. This, for me, was what really brought me to this headset. It's very nice to finally cut the cord from the controller.
My only real gripe is that there is a constant "white noise" that will play through the headset even when nobody is talking. This again goes towards how much you want to sacrifce for the sake of a wireless headset. I don't find the noise overpowering, but it is there and for those who can't tune it out I can understand that it might become annoying.
Basically, if you're crazy about going wireless to cut the hassle and mess of cords (like myself), this headset is great with a few drawbacks that show its limitations. If you're seeking perfection in sound, stick to the cords.
Although it is designed well ergonomically, the audio had the same white noise and static and popping that other reviewers described (I have 900 MHz headphones that sound better!!). But the thing that made me return the Headset was not MY experience it was how the unit affected the -othergamers' audio. During most of my XBOX Live games, the other players would complain that my headset would interfere with their audio. It would apparently make everyone else's headsets echo and reverberate. Eventually they would apologize (or not) and simply mute my audio and few times I was kicked from the game entirely.
$80 NOT well spent!!!
I give this a one star rating because it's flaws made it unusable for 90% of my XBOX Live sessions.
Sweet ergonomic design Logitech but technically not ready for prime time...
I got this product today and am extremly pleased with it. The one thing that bugged me with the standard headsets and caused a few of mine to break are because i'd hit the wire going from the controller to the headset and it would break off. With this no more wires and it couldn't be a more possibly comforable headset.
Advantages
-It's light and it fits to almost any ear by the way it is able to expand wider around the ear.
-It's wireless that means no wires to mess with
-Crystal Clear sound, i've heard people comment on how clear i sound
-No big microphone, theres nothing sticking right in front of your face to speak into, it's a small little 3 inch microphone that doesn't even come close to your mouth but still picks up excellent sound
Disadvantages
-A very small kind of static noise taht i can hardly even hear when playing a game
-Has a listed 6-7 hour battery i can't confirm that yet, but it does only take about an hour and a half to fully charge it
This product truely is amazing and i couldn't be more happy with it right now. I highly recommened it if you're looking for somehting that is sturdy and very well designed.

After I purchased (and fell in love with) my Logitech Wireless Controller, I realized that I HAD to purchase a wireless headset as the Controller doesn't have a place to plug a wired headset into. Not so.Although it is designed well ergonomically, the audio had the same white noise and static and popping that other reviewers described (I have 900 MHz headphones that sound better!!). Honest reviews on Logitech Cordless Headset for Xbox
The liberation of being completely wireless is fantastic! The design is not only flawless in terms of practical use and comfort, but the unit is small and super sleek as well. Where things fall apart is the sound. Voices are distorted, there is intermittent radio static, and a persistent white noise in the background. The sound would have been acceptable for a $20 price, but at 80 bones you can be sure I'll be getting a refund on this one.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Logitech Cordless Headset for Xbox
I ordered this Logitech Wireless Headset thru Amazon from Dealz4Real on Aug 12, 2007. I received the item very quickly in 2 days. The product came in its original packaging and appeared to be new; however, it didn't work. There was no packing slip, return slip or any kind of paperwork in the shipping box from Dealz4Real. I e-mailed them from my order confirmation e-mail and told them the product didn't work. They e-mailed me back with the return address and a questionnaire and said it would take 7-10 days to get a replacement item. Well, I did what they said, I have confirmation that they received it on August 24th. Today is September 12th and I still don't have a product replacement, a credit to my credit card, and they won't reply by e-mail. I am not happy and do not recommend using this company. The price was right, but it wasn't worth it!Tuesday, July 29, 2014
Reviews of Grand Theft Auto Double Pack: Liberty City Stories / Vice City
Let me start by saying I have yet to play through most of Liberty City Stories and I played only enough of Vice City Stories to see if I would like it. Also, this review will probably be more helpful to someone who has played GTA3 and Vice City. With that said, I am very impressed with both games. This is because they took two old games that I know and love and changed very little about them. All the missions are different, but the important thing for me is that the maps are exactly the same. To stop boring you, here is a list of things that I think makes the games worth playing if you enjoyed GTA3 and Vice City:
1. The maps are nearly the same.
2. The addition of motorcycles in LCS.
3. The ability to swim in VCS.
4. The smooth gameplay. I was fearful the gameplay would be choppy considering it was converted from a PSP game (e.g. Twisted Metal: Head On, when converted, seemed very choppy to me)
5. New missions while keeping certain things about the game (e.g. Vigilante Missions, Hidden Packages, Unique Jumps, etc.)
So to conclude, this game has deep and smooth gameplay, takes old games and makes them new without compromising anything, and is ideal for anyone who, like me, believes that GTA3 is the pinnacle of the the series. For those who haven't played the old ones, I think they are worth a try, but I'm not sure if you are going to feel the same was as the gamer who has played GTA3 and Vice City.
GRAPHICS
========
Oddly enough, the 2 games use the same game engine as it's previous games. (Liberty City Stories uses the GTA III engine and Vice City Stories uses the Vice City engine) You will also notice that the graphics have not made much improvements.
GAME PLAY
=========
Overall, game play is also the same as with the previous games that they followed. The following contains information on what changes have been made since the previous games...
LIBERTY CITY STORIES
====================
The only changes that have been made is that there are now new missions, new "hideout" locations, new characters to meet, new weapons to find and collect, new landmark locations to buy items, secret items to find, and many more. Other than that, the map itself is still about the same as that of GTA III.
VICE CITY STORIES
=================
The changes they have made to this game is that you play a different character than in Vice City, new hideouts, added a "Building Business" options to certain locations so you can now "own" a business and update as you see fit (Opened up later in the game as you progress), some landmarks got a new buildings from Vice City (There's a Fair Grounds area), new missions, new people to meet, and more secrets to open.
OVERALL
=======
One thing that is a bonus is that you get 2 games in one. Buying them separately you would cost double the price. Games also include the complete map of the city you are in, instructions, and even includes a listing of the music you can listen to on the radio. Game play wise, not much has changed as far as controls go. If you like action games with guns, girls, gangs, violence, and speed, you can't go wrong with this. There's plenty of action and missions to complete and you will enjoy these games to the fullest.

...what more could you ask for in a first person shooter? First I'd like to say...I absolutely love this game. It is fun and intense. Talk about getting drawn in to a video game, Mace Griffin: Bounty Hunter is addictive! It has long and interesting levels that, at times, seem to never end. You can save if you want to take a break, but only at the last check point(I just pause the game, turn my TV off and leave the XBOX on). The A.I. is better than any other FPS I've ever played. A.I. actually hides from you and it even seems to stratigize to circle around you at times. It's neat to watch. But don't get too watchful, because you'll get ambushed from behind or at your sides.
The outerspace/in-ship levels are absolutely amazing as well. The enemies are a little hard to hit when trying to control the ship, but that makes it challenging and extends the longevity and value of the game in my opinion.
There is NO slow-down when looking around like some FPS's and the texturizing is very good, not as good as say 'TimeSplitters2' for the XBOX, but enough to make it look smooth and beautiful.
Overall this game is a must for any First Person Shooter fan.

This game had great potential, the graphics and sound are awesome. That's really the only positive thing I can say about it. The game seems to be buggy on Xbox. Every once in a while, when you complete an objective, "Objective Completed" flashes acoss the screen. The next objective may not be triggered. Now you've got nothing to do but restart it and hope it lets you move on next time. It will let you eventually if you don't mind repeating the levels over and over. After getting sick of this, I got disgusted and handed it over to my brother to try on his Xbox. The results were the same. Don't waste your money!Sunday, July 20, 2014

Cheap Mortal Kombat Trilogy
This game, how can you go wrong? You get the ultimate fighting game there has ever been, easy controls, difficult fatalities, brutalities, babalities, friendships, combos. You start up the game and first when the character select screen comes you are blown away! An uncountable amount of characters, secret characters like Knameleon, Smoke, Kahn, Motaro, tons of kombat kodes and secrets. There is even a 2 on 2 mode, 3 on 3 mode and an 8 person tournament mode in the game. No other non 3D fighting game will be the same!
I've bought around 16 Nintendo 64 games, and not once have I complained about the cartridge format: until now. It served me well through GoldenEye, Perfect Dark, Banjo-Kazooie, Battle for Naboo, and even through Resident Evil 2. Yes the video sequences in that game were highly compressed, but seeing as how squeezing them all in was a miracle by itself, I have no complaints. It's too bad Williams didn't try any similiar compression techniques for MKT. The game feels woefully incomplete, especially when compared to the PSX version. A couple of characters were sacrificed, including Goro, Kintaro, the unmasked Sub-Zero, and classic costume changes for Kano, Raiden, Jax, and a few others. A lot of the classic backgrounds are also missing, noticibly from the original game and Mortal Kombat 2. And then there's the sound, or what tries to pass itself off as sound. While the N64 was capable of Dolby 5.1 Surround by the end of its life span, here it can barely crank out decent mono. Other reviews have said the sound seems canned, muffled, and my personal favourite: like your speakers are set up behind a cement wall. It's all true, every bit of it. If Williams had given the game better sound, I might have been tempted to ease off on it a little.
The gameplay has been carried over from MK3, with a new aggressor meter at the bottom. Thankfully, for the characters that have made it, all their finishing moves are intact, and are still cool to watch. There are also various 2-on-2, 3-on-3, and tournament modes to mess around with. The game does get stale after awhile, but it happens to all fighting games. MKT is good for a few rounds of mayhem whenever you're bored.
I don't regret purchasing MKT, but I wish Williams had taken more time and effort to polish the game, such as reshooting the actors (Brawka in particular feels cut and pasted directly from MKII), and finding a way to cram everything in. MK fans without a PSX should definitely get this. It's not completely satisfying, but it gets the job done.
MK Trilogy is a fighting game combining all the stages, characters, game play mechanics and "fatalities" (gory special moves) from all of the past MK games into one glorious version with extra modes and options to give fans of Mortal Kombat the complete experience. Choose from one of 26 characters (plus 4 secret characters that you have to unlock) and you can either play one on one kombat, 2 player vs. kombat, tournament mode or 2 player three on three kombat. The main goal is to beat every fighter you come across and make it to Shao Khan, the game's main villain. Each character has its own background story, ending, moves and fatalities so the game will keep you busy as far as using different characters by yourself or taking on another player. There are numerous codes to enter with varying results so find a guide online and try them out yourself.
The PROS: Everything about Mortal Kombat is all in one game: the stages, characters, moves, options, music, game play, codes and secret characters make an appearance. MK fans will dive in head first and feel right at home. And the 2 player modes let you challenge another player for added replayability. Plus, no load times means every match starts immediately.
The CONS: While the Playstation version had loading issues, it turned out to be the better version overall. Thanks to cartridge limitations, the N64 version doesn't feature the extra characters found in the Playstation version and takes a big hit in the graphics and music department. Animation frames are missing which means the graphics are not as smooth as it should be. The music doesn't sound as good as it should be since it's been compressed to save space. The controls are spot on but some will find the N64 controller a little cumbersome at first so it will take some getting used to before you forget about the initial inconvenience.
What's disappointing is that had this come out a year later, MK Trilogy could have turned out better since other developers opted to ship their games in cartridges with more space and it would have helped out. Because of key sacrifices, this game will only be cherished by the fans and somewhat acknowledged by everyone else. This game would later re-inforce the notion that CDs were the better medium to make games on while cartridges had less space to work with and were more expensive to manufacture. You can pick this up cheap and I would recommend this game to the fans and those who never played the Playstation version.

Okay, so I'm six years too late in reviewing this game, but what the hey: I just recently picked it up really cheap, just to see what it was like since I'm a huge Mortal Kombat fan. Bottom line? It's better than I expected, but not by much.I've bought around 16 Nintendo 64 games, and not once have I complained about the cartridge format: until now. Loaded with everyone of your favorite MK fighters pre MK4. MK Trilogy was out dated in appearance the day of this versions release. However, I never played Trilogy for it's graphics. The game play is very addictive I think. Don't get me wrong I do like the look of this game. I wouldn't call this game anything less than perfect just the way it is. Even tho I don't play this game nearly as much as i did.. I did play it for 5 years, 3 years of which was everyday. Mortal Kombat has been my favorite fighting game series for over half a decade now. So what does this great game really offer you... 30 playable fighters, moves and 'alities never seen in an arcade, brutal brutalities and 7 pit like stage fatalites!! Starring: Scorpion, Subzero, Kitana, Raiden, Cage, Reptile, Sonya, Sheeva, Smoke, Cyrax, Liu Kang, Kabal, Nightwolf, Jade, Sindel, Rain, Stryker, Kano & Jax. Just to name a few.Honest reviews on Mortal Kombat Trilogy
As the Playstation heated up the console wars, Sega and Nintendo weren't the only competitors this time around. So N64 owners were delighted to hear that MK Trilogy would be released and in 1996, it came out and was a moderate success. But with delight came confusion and disappointment as Nintendo's version wasn't identical to the Playstation version in more ways that one. MK Trilogy turned out to be a decent and dated MK fighting game even by standards back then.MK Trilogy is a fighting game combining all the stages, characters, game play mechanics and "fatalities" (gory special moves) from all of the past MK games into one glorious version with extra modes and options to give fans of Mortal Kombat the complete experience. Discount Half-Life
Let me tell you a little secret:I never finished half life on the PC.I know it's sacrilegious, but hey,it was the fall of 1998,and my consoles were calling to me with stuff like Xelda and Metal Gear Solid. Now,revisiting HL on the PS2,i'm reminded of just how amazing this game is.Although it's looking a little outdated in the graphics department {even with the upgraded PS2 visuals}, HL can still hold its own against prettier newcomers like Red Faction. The saving grace here isn't how good the story is {it's rather cliche actually},but rather how well it unfolds in the context of the game. You're never at a loss for where to go next.Sure, the lecels are ultimately linear in design,But none of the areas feel contrived or unnatural. It's also one of those games loaded with a ton of cool moments.Trust me,no amount of hyperbole on my part can prepare you for the shiver inducing stuff you'll see in some of the later levels.Believe it,HL's single player experience is unrivaled. In multiplayer, however ,HL is a disappointment.Decay, the two player co op mode is too short, and with its head to head and weapon modelsin two player head to head and weapon models in two player splitscreen only further hampers the deathmatch experience.Despite these heart breaking shortcomings,i can honestly say i had more fun playing HL on the PS2 this month than i ever did on my PC three years ago.And yes,i finished it this time.
The graphics are also stunning on this game. They are enhanced very much from the PC version. And, if your concerned about the framerate, no fear, it runs as smooth as silk.
There's also a multi-player mode and a co-op mode on Half-life, so you can compete against your friends in a deathmatch, or try and get place back to normal by fighting side-by-side.
I gave this a 5/5 because... IT'S THE BEST FREAKIN' GAME FOR THE PS2 YET!!! If you liked the original, you'll love this one. With totally revised graphics, and new multi-player mode, this is a must buy for the playstation 2.
(there's also a rumor around valve about online play)
The biggest one was intelligent enemies. There was more artificial intelligence put into your opponents so as they didn't just run up to you and attack like the monsters from Doom and Quake. They took cover, laid suppressing fire, tried sneaking around you, and all other sorts of tactics. Back in 1998 you didn't much of that in a first person shooter.
The second innovation is more what the fanboys say about the game rather than the truth, and that's a storyline. Indeed Half Life had a plot that you followed throughout the game that made shooting the bad have a little more depth, however it wasn't all that. Games like the System Shock series and Thief already gave you superior FPS storylines. Half Life was just the popular one.
And that's where we come to how this game stacks in the new millenium. I played it on PC back in 1998 up to a point, but never finished. I ended up finishing the game with the PS2 version. That plotline only takes you so far as much of the action in middle gets extremely tedious. If you don't mind just shooting and solving jump puzzles without much story to inspire then I guess that's not big deal. However these days more engaging plots on FPS games is the norm.
Gameplay is pretty good for a console FPS. The target lock system helps make up for the lack of the keyboard/mouse configuration and the rest of the controls fit fine with the PS2 controller. The graphics are supposed to be enhanced, but I couldn't see all that much of a difference from the original Half Life game set to high resolution on the characters. I believe the bitmaps for the walls, skies and such is where the major graphic improvements were. Either way the graphics are indeed dated.
In the end Half Life was a good game to play for the most part. Only there were some very long stretches where I wished the game would just end already due to lack of any depth beyond getting past the level. The "wow" ending left me a bit underwhelmed after all those boring levels (again you're talking to someone who played it recently... I bet back in the day it was awesome).
What's the verdict? If you can find it cheap by all means get the game and experience the highs (and lows). I hear this game is being redone with the new HL2 engine, so at that point I would say it's up to you regarding a revisit when this happens? As for me I don't regret paying the $10 finding out what was good and bad about this game.
Overall the game is a good game with decent graphics and sound. It has a "save at any point" feature which greatly enhances the playablity. The game plays basically as a continuous "movie" with few cutscenes and fairly decent loading times. The control scheme is almost identical to one used in Voyage Elite Force, however you have to learn that your weapon does not necessariy aim where you're looking.
I enjoyed the game and found it addicting, however I began to tire of it in the final missions. This game is longer than most recent releases, and even on the easy level, I found it to be pretty difficult, especially in the later stages. While most of the game involves fighting enemies, a fair amount of your time is spent solving puzzles and in the end, it became more about making tedious jumps rather than fighting aliens. After awhile, jumping from point A to point B gets a little tiresome.
This an enjoyable game worth the investment but be advised that it can get tiresome before you finish. The game is better than 3 stars but in my mind, maybe not completely deserving of the 4 star rating, primarily because of the "tedious" factor.
The Main game is where the real action is. The levels are long and progressivly more difficult. The lock-aim feature is invaluble. AI is incredible. Fighting both aliens and humans keeps the game alive and the sound, WOW. The story line is one of the best I've played and the weapons are easy to use. I also enjoyed having to solve the mind puzzles along the way. Not puzzles really but more like "how the hell do I do this....."
So, why is it no HALO ? Well, if you have to ask, you have never played HALO before. For starters, The communication voice often gets lost in the music and action noise leaving you wondering what it is you need to do. Not that you have to stop and restart mind you, the game is linier in nature so eventually you'll figure out what it is you missed. Next, the loading pauses take place too often for my taste. It slows the game. The graphics are less than should be expected for todays PS2 games but still very detailed. Even with these minor things, the game was addicting. Don't turn it on if you only have an hour to play, you'll be late to where ever you need to be.
Oh, and one other thing.....go play HALO. Did I mention HALO?

My brother works for Valve software (the people who made Half-Life) and I got to test this item myself. This is the best game for the Playstation 2 so far I would say. The controls are remarcable compared to the PC version. But, if you liked the original controls with the keyboard and the mouse, you'll love this. Half-Life supportes the USB ports. So hook up your mouse and keyboard and get playing! The graphics are also stunning on this game. They are enhanced very much from the PC version. Keep in mind I'm writing this review from the perspective of somebody that played the game in the last six months, and not when it first came out. Back then first person shooters (FPS) weren't all the deep in the story department and most of the time players just saw the "storyline" as something getting in the way of shooting anything that moves Half Life came onto the scene with radically new thinking on several fronts. The biggest one was intelligent enemies. There was more artificial intelligence put into your opponents so as they didn't just run up to you and attack like the monsters from Doom and Quake. Honest reviews on Half-Life
Half-Life is certainly a good FPS title for the PS2. It's very reminiscent of Voyager Elite Force or Red Faction. You play the game as Gordon Freeman, a scientist in a secret research facility. Something goes horribly wrong and a portal to an alien world is opened up and you find yourself battling a variety of alien monsters and even government soldiers sent to kill you and cover the whole thing up. In the end, you will travel to the alien world for the final showdown.Overall the game is a good game with decent graphics and sound. OK, I'll begin by saying I own all game systems. N64, PS2, X-Box, Dreamcast, and Game cube. I've played every FPS game released (I know, sad huh....) and I concider myself an authority in this arena. That said, Half-Life is the current game in my PS2 console. I had never played the PC version so I didn't know what to expect. I went through the in-game training and then began with DECAY. The co-op play was fun. What I found kinda cool is that you can play the co-op version by yourself.(One controler, switching back and forth between player 1 and 2. ) AI keeps the non-user alive and even helpful during battles but you have to advance BOTH players. Play it, you'll see what I mean. Although DECAY was kinda short, 12 levels, A grading system offers bonus levels if you do well. DECAY gets 3 stars. The Main game is where the real action is. The levels are long and progressivly more difficult. The lock-aim feature is invaluble. AI is incredible. Fighting both aliens and humans keeps the game alive and the sound, WOW. Discount Official Street Fighter IV Cloth Wall Scroll - Group
The art in this wall scroll is great, though a bit blurry when it is viewed up close. The only thing is if you live somewhere where there is a lot of moisture in the air, then the scroll will start to curl in at the sides. It would be better if the scroll were actual cloth, not some vinyl-like material.

It curls up on the side. No matter how much I flatten it out it would still curl out. Its the official street fighter 4 poster by madcatz. The quality is 4/5 and smells like brand new paint. Only thing i was dissapointed by was the art is not as clear as pictured on the website. Overall its a nice poster but the quality could be better.Best Deals for Official Street Fighter IV Cloth Wall Scroll - Group
This wall scroll is a great have. The only thing I notice living in the tropics is that it will fold on the sides since it's really hot here. Taking it down and rolling it up fixes this issue for a couple of months but then you have to do it again. Not bad though since if you're cleaning your room and dusting it.Honest reviews on Official Street Fighter IV Cloth Wall Scroll - Group
This isn't a poor quality product, but like the other reviewer said, it could be a much sharper quality print, even as far as "cloth" wall scrolls go. I have a lot of wall scrolls, and this is the first one I've seen that's printed on a vinyl-like material. It has that plastic "pool toy" smell to it, and it doesn't come with a string for hanging. I'm not sure why, but the hooks at the top slide across the plastic bar for some reason? I'm happy with the product, but it's not what I had in mind when I think of a "cloth" wall scroll. It's a cool poster, and it looks good from across my small room. I think any SFIV fan would be happy with it! It's a fair price, and it's certainly more durable than a regular paper poster!Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Official Street Fighter IV Cloth Wall Scroll - Group

Review of Boom Blox - Nintendo Wii
Boom Blox is the perfect example of what a good Wii game should be. It is innovative, intuitive, and most of all, fun. Gamers and non-gamers alike will be able to pick this game up and start playing within seconds.
First off, I'll get the bad news out of the way. Graphically this game isn't going to wow anyone. The graphics are adequate and never go beyond that. The sound and music is instantly forgettable. The characters are saccharine cute, uninspired and half of them make weird grunting noises like a puppy with a bad case of painful gas. Hardcore gamers will likely dismiss this game as a throw-away cutsie/kiddie title. I wouldn't blame them, but that would be their loss. On a side note, if you're a fan of Happy Tree Friends, the characters bear a striking resemblance... except they are block-shaped.
The good news is that just about everything else in this game is very well designed and fun. To truly grasp how the gameplay works you have to see it in action, but I'll try to describe it as best I can. The premise of this physics-based puzzle game is that each level will have a challenge, such as destroy every gem block or carefully unstack a pile of rectangular blocks much like you would as if you were playing Jenga. Some levels will have you throwing tennis balls, bombs, or bowling balls at to interact with the level while others may have you spraying fire hoses and blasting things with lasers. Some levels encourage you to operate with delicate precision and others encourage reckless, destructive behavior. Overall, the game has a good balance. The gameplay is varied and the use of the Wii controls is very impressive (with one minor exception being the light-gun style mini-games which are very rare). This game really could have been terrible. Too many developers would have slapped some half-baked control scheme onto this game and called it good, but this is one of those rare games where the developer obviously put a lot of thought into the control.
I haven't played multi-player very much, but what I've played is very fun and enjoyable. Single player is addictive, so much so that I was late to a dinner meeting because my friends kept urging me to check out the next level. Most of the levels are clever and leave the player with a great sense of accomplishment when completed. After every five or six levels a new feature or function is opened up, which keeps the gameplay from getting stale. From what I can tell there are hundreds of levels built into the game PLUS the game includes a full featured level editor allows you to modify existing levels and create your own in addition to being able to share your creations with others on the internet.
The basic idea of the game is you throw, grab, or whip around balls, blocks, or whatever to accomplish whatever goal is given to you, either it be pull out the blocks without splattering the cow on the ground or destroy everything as quickly as possible. You do this with the Wii remote (nunchuck isn't required for most of the game but helps with precise camera movement) by pressing A and throwing or grabbing. Every movement with the remote is picked up very precisely and feels like you're in total control. Combine this with the Havok physics engine (the most recent physics engine released) and the game is incredibly accurate and realistic.
The graphics themselves aren't top notch, but they're aren't horrible either. The only frame rate drops are when you're creating your own levels and you place too many objects on the screen where the physics engine can't handle every item because of the Wii's horsepower.
The best part of the game is located in the multiplayer component. Basically it's a combination or everything in the single player mode along with a Jenga-like mode which is the best use of the WiiMote yet. Every movement is picked up perfectly and you can't help but taunt your fellow players to accidentally jerk their hand and topple whatever they're doing.
Not enough levels for you? Create infinite numbers of levels with the editor. I cannot delve too deep into this since I've just begun messing around with the mode, but this is definitely where a bulk of the fun is. combine it with the fact that you can send your levels to Wii friends via WiiConnect24 and you're all set.
Overall, unless you have friends to play the game with, the single player levels may grow dry unless you enjoy building your own, but that shortcoming cannot stop me from giving this game 5 stars just because of the amount of material within the game. A+ in my book.
Boom Blox is astounding in its simplistic design yet addictive nature. This is a game all ages can enjoy. It has decent colorful graphics, nice relaxing music, and tons of puzzles to solve. While some puzzles aren't as fun or enjoyable as others it is still never a chore to finish any portion of this game. I have yet to even try the multiplayer or create-a-puzzle modes, but after having just played most of the single player I doubt my opinion of this game could get any higher.
Is it a technical marvel? No. Is it high action super polished AAA? No. Is it the most fun I've had playing the Wii? YES.
This game has made me believe my Wii purchase was not in vain and that there can be good inventive games that will tear me from my Xbox 360.
Graphics: Graphically, the game is cute. In general, the graphics are good, cutsie, and intended to be on lines with the wii mii's as far as being smoothmapped and cartoony. For what the game is, you get what you need out of the graphics.
Gameplay: For those who are not aware of exactly what boomblox is, Boomblox is simply an assortment of minigames on lines with Rayman: RR (replacing grossness and strangeness with cuteness). Each minigame is build on blocks, which take on a variety of shapes and sizes. The games are sorted in easy to follow menus. The variety of the games follow a few "trends". Either you toss bombs at structures or people to blow them up, toss tennis balls or the slightly larger bowling balls to knock down structures, or pull blox out of the structure. Some games are time based, others are point based, others are based on using the least amount of turns to knock down everything. The games are fun, and range from Jenga Like games, to protect the castle type games, to a blox shooter. There are essential 4 different types of themed backgrounds, such as jungle and med evil castle. The games are fun and can be addicting, especially if you are determined to get a gold in each game. When you start, nothing is available and everything must be unlocked, a bronze is the minimum required to do as such. Many of the games are really just puzzles, where you try to figure out the weak spot(s) that enable you to knock down everything or pull out everything in the given time. Most of the games are really simple to do, and anyone teen level and higher will figure out most of the puzzles instantly. Occasionally, you will find one that you just can't figure it out. Other times, your success has to do with more dumb luck (as to where the explosion goes) than actual skill.
Story: The game does actually have a story. In adventure mode, you face 4 of these stories, they consist of a small cartoon scene from beginning to end that roughly explain why your doing what you are doing with the blocks. It is weak in story, and really just done for a laugh.
Multiplayer: It consists of a pretty good multiplayer. People can verse each other for the best score, or work together to get the best metal. It is one of the main reasons to get this game in my opinion, as it has several games that can be played easily as a group.
Overall: The game is a fun game, potentially addictive, and best played with a group or party. It is fun for kids. The reason it scores a 3 instead of a 5, is that it really just doesn't have much to it. The story mode is lacking, and is just loosely done as a joke more than for a reason. The games are limited, and most of them are similar, not really offering much in the ways of variety. The single player has absolutely no re playability, once you solve the puzzle, there is little point in replaying. The one exception is the save the castle modes, where you try to protect your jewels from oncoming attackers. But most of them are so easy you will get a gold on the first try. Multiplayer has a little more re playability, but since levels don't change, once you complete one, there is very little point in returning to it. This game has tons of unlockables, since just about everything needs to be unlocked on every level, including a large amount of the pieces you can put in the 'build it your own' mode. However, it is a simple and easy game, and once your done playing and beating all the levels(maybe a 10 hour endeavor assuming you don't get stuck for 2 hours on a specific level)there is nothing else to the game to keep you interested.
That aside--the shear number of levels for single player is astounding. You'll be at this for a while. And the best part is--you won't mind. You'll find yourself every day going back to this game just to finish off more and more of this monster. Honing your skills. Perfecting your shots. Like an addict of crossword puzzles, you'll desire the gratification of "beating" the puzzle. It's fantastic feeling.
As for multi-player. Well, get ready to gather with some friends. Play against each other. Strike with strategy in mind. Or play together. Your choice. But the number of options in this mode will lend itself to hours upon hours of unpredictable play. And that my friends is one of the main reasons to own a Wii. Nothing says Wii like friends gathered around vying for ultimate victory at the expense of their peers. Every move by your opponents, even those made by you, can lead to ultimate victory or you giving the game away to the lucky mug who will take advantage of you smashing the structure "just enough" to let him/her bring it down with a gentle toss.
So here is the bottom line. Buy it. Play it. Thank me.

I know the first thing that almost prevented me from buying this game was the $ price tag. Now let me just say that the game is worth every penny whether you're a casual or hardcore gamer. I myself am a hardcore gamer and usually pass over casual games like Boom Blox, but it's incredibly addicting.

No, the title isn't hyperbole. I do honestly believe this is the best Wii title I've purchased. Granted, I do not own No More Heroes, Metroid Prime 3, or Zelda: Twilight Princess but I do have all the rest of the so-called "best" Wii games (Super Mario Galaxy, Zack and Wiki, Mario Kart Wii, Super Smash Brothers Brawl, Okami, etc.). Those other games aren't bad, not by a long shot I've loved them all they just don't have the downright pure fun factor that Boom Blox does.Boom Blox is astounding in its simplistic design yet addictive nature.
Honest reviews on Boom Blox - Nintendo Wii
Overall, the game was alright, but certainly had several flaws.Graphics: Graphically, the game is cute.
I'll keep it simple. Much like this game. If you are looking for a game that is fun and easy to pick while still maintaining that in-depth, mind mashing, just-one-more-game-feeling, this is that game. Think of it this way: Single player mode lures you into the game by starting you off with simple puzzles. Puzzles that many people will not only find easy to do, but rewarding to see solved as pieces go flying about in a spectacular true physical display of awesomeness. You'll feel good about your success. You'll love the little gold medal. And you'll want to play more. And that's where it gets you. The challenges increase. The puzzles get harder and soon you'll find yourself judging each puzzle with a strict eye, analyzing each structure for the weakest point or the perfect spot where the nice gentle lob of a bowling ball with bring the whole structure down with an elegant explosion. You will want that gold medal--and trust me, this game in later levels will make you work for it.That aside--the shear number of levels for single player is astounding. You'll be at this for a while.
