I purchased this game on sale because my family are Spongebob fans. I have a three year old that loves playing Wii games, and I thought this would be a good family game for us to play. This is a fun game, at least for awhile. I first sat down to play this and unlock some boats and characters and within two hours had the entire game beat/unlocked. This isn't overly difficult but there seems to be enough to keep you entertained for awhile. Once I got a lot of the characters, boats and courses unlocked, we were able to play the group mode as a family and have fun. Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy as well as the Invisible Boat Mobile are available for use within the game. You can also unlock Mr. Krabs and Plankton.

There are variations on the games you can play but ultimately it comes down to smashing other boats. It can be a little tricky to go back and collect the parts after you smash but that's part of the game. My daughter got a little bored with this after 20 minutes, and I would say it didn't take me too much longer. Overall it's a fun, not very deep game. I think as long as you don't pay more than $30 for it, it's worth having for the family if you are Spongebob fans. I will give them credit for not trying to make this like so many other "racing" games...it's unique and different.

My son and I love SpongeBob so we were really disappointed after playing this game. We actually have a plug and play SpongeBob racing game that is quite fun, but this fell way short. I would not recommend this. Really poor game play and extremely difficult controls, especially for children.

When i played the first Digimon Rumble Arena on Playstation it was fun. Then i found out they made a second one and found it. It is a basic fighting game with one button presses for powers. The problem is that the game could be too simple even for a group fighting genre. Smash Brothers require a timed button press to do super attacks. This has no such thing. All characters control about the same. There are some who are faster and others who are stronger.

I must admit it is nice to see more forms like rookie, champion and mega. There are a lot of characters to unlock, but the end boss isn't cheap as the first one. You can beat the game on easy or hard and still enjoy the combat. Megas are fun to play with and almost the whole cast is there. The graphics are a little better, but not by much. I must say something is missing on this game, but I can't put my finger on it. I think the game becomes fun when you play with four players, but I would not know because I can never get no one to play with me. :(

Buyer beware, only buy this game if you are a Digimon fan or liked the first rumble arena. If not, it will collect dust just like your other Gamecube games.

I was very skeptical before buying this wire. However, my kinect with my projector is working excellently without any lag. This is the only 15 feet wire available in the market. No more problem for using my kinect with my projector. This has the Kinect customized USB port and NOT the standard flat USB connector. If you have bought Kinect bundle (Xbox and Kinect) then this is what you will need.

I've always wanted to buy a kinect for my xbox360, but the length of the cable it came with seemed to short for my entertainment setup.So One night while searching for a solution to my problem i found this on Amazon.I was a bit hesitant on purchasing this cord because it wasn't made by Microsoft.I went on Gamestop website and looked at another kinect extension cord at about the same cord was coming out on the 18th, when i went into the local store, i asked for a kinect cable and the employee working there walked over with a 2ft extension cable with the price tag of $50.00..I was surprised.So i asked the employee if he had anything that was at least 10-15 ft long, he gave me a very confused face and sputtered out..."why do you need a 15 ft cable for the kinect?" At first i felt it was really none of his business to ask me what the purpose of the cable is. Anyways i told him that i was running it through a Hi-Def projector. I left and ordered this from amazon immediately. This cable works great, there is no lag,everything is nice and fluid. And the LED on the extension lights up when power is going to the kinect which is perfect, i just disconnect the cord half way so i don't have to pull it out of the kinect or my 360, i can leave it in thus..not causing any damage to the ports.

If you have a Kinect and a very interesting entertainment setup..such as a projector..defiantly pull the trigger on this cable..or buy a really long HDMI cable.

All in all great purchase.

I purchased this to connect the Kinect to the Xbox 360 "slim" I purchased for my kids in December 2011. It didn't work Jill posted a similar review below. The Xbox does not recognize the Kinect and will not update it correctly using this cord. To be clear This is not the correct cord if you need an extension for the newest Xbox and the Nyko customer support never returned my email requesting help.

The correct cord for the black Xbox 360 is the HDE Extension Cable for Xbox 360 Kinect (search Amazon) available March 3 2012 for about $4 and eligible for prime shipping. The $4 HDE cord worked great with NO trouble.

I was skeptical after reading other reviews about the voice recognition not working. That is a feature I like and use a lot. I had to purchase this cable because any other cable would have been too short for my setup.

After getting everything moved and plugged in I went through the Kinect Tuner menu to get the Kinect setup. The voice recognition and visual recognition both work perfectly. The Kinect is performing the same as when it was plugged directly into the XBox. I have the Kinect XBox Bundle.

This cable is used to allow Kinect play from our projector. There is no lag while playing and the kids love the games on a 200" screen. Absolutely incredible. The cord is flat and is easily hidden along the wall. Great price and well made.

I've been a pilot for over 40 years and have flown everything from '20s biplanes to Navy carrier jets...and this sim is awesome.

Note: it is on DVD not CD as stated here. And it is NOT a game. There is a significant learning curve involved to successfully fly these aircraft in full-on realistic mode. It does have 'simple' modes that make it possible for anyone to fly, but don't think of this as an arcade game in any sense.

Trust me, if you can fly these birds in full realism mode, with a little time flying under the supervision of an instructor you can fly the real thing. Here there are fewer cues (just sight and sound), but in real aircraft you also have so-called proprioceptive sensations too (the seat of your pants, for one), among others.

Buy it, you'll like it! The graphics are gorgeous, the scenarios are amazing. You won't find modern airliners, but you'll find most of the WW2 machines (Russian, German, Japanese, British and American).

A flight over the cliffs of dover at sunset in a Spitfire may bring tears to your eyes...it did me.

Out of the box to playing within 20 minutes. Very simple install into my 64-bit Vista Ultimate PC. Works great with my old MS Force feedback II joystick. No bugs or problems I can find.

The game is just beautiful. The physics are awesome and the whole experience is just as advertised. Seldom do I enjoy a game as much as I love this one. Situational awareness in a sim can be difficult sometimes. Not so much with this one. Compared to CFS3, this is miles ahead in quality of experience. This game is a time machine. Every time I start it, I find myself losing hours immersed in the game.

Simulations are challenging. This isn't something for the impatient type. Joystick is a must.

for some one like my self who actually has flown ww2 planes. il 2 1946 does it again . it is similar to the previous games . however i own just about every flight sim out there and have fould that il 2 il2 sturmovic , and pacific fighters are about the best. it may sound silly but when you sit in this cockpit and look around its very similar to the real planes a lot of other flight sims offer a lot and do not deliver . il series is anout the best you can get i recommend this . christian j nielsen

First, my qualifications: I've got about 3000 hours of real airplane flight time, and I've wasted roughly 10,000 hours of my life playing PC-based flight sims, starting with MS Flight Simulator 1.0 on a green-screen Apple IIe, and playing pretty much everything worth flying between there and Falcon 4.0 on my current multi-GHz Dell. I've played extensively online with several different sims, and aviation has been one of my lifelong passions. For whatever it's worth, folks, I'm an expert on this subject.

I had put off buying IL-2 Sturmovik for years, mainly because I couldn't see myself getting that interested in flying a Russian attack airplane. But the online accolades just kept piling up, and so I started doing some reading a few months ago and discovered that this game has over 250 flyable aircraft. What the h&*l, I thought, and I ordered IL-2 1946 two weeks ago.

This sim is very deceptive. When you finish installing it and the start menu appears, you immediately think you've been had. Lord knows, I've installed enough bad sims over the years to know what crap looks and sounds like, and IL-2 1946 sure gave me the first impression that I was going to want my money back. The main menu looks like something out of a learning game for kids, and the music sounds like something from "Wallace and Grommit." I clicked straight into "Quick Mission Builder" which looks like it has been taken directly from "Jane's WWII Fighters" and put a single P-51D in the air with no enemies and no ground fire. I wanted to start with simple, exploratory aerobatics, and I also have lots of flight time in the TriSynergy P-51D "The Flying Undertaker," which is a great FSX add-on, and I wanted to compare this P-51D with something I already knew was great.

At first, I wasn't that impressed. The cockpit looks beautiful and accurate, but it isn't mouse-clickable. You have to do everything with keyboard commands. The flight characteristics seemed to be a little off for instance, after diving to 450 mph, pulling out and chopping the throttle, the airplane seems to hold on to its speed for a long, long time. I was prepared to discover that this sim really wasn't going to be very satisfying.

But then I started dogfighting, and the sheer craftsmanship of this simulation soon became apparent. The enemy AI, like all flight AI, can be slightly repetitive, but they are still very good. The game does seem to be slightly biased in favor of the German fighters, but you can still blow FW-190's out of the sky in your Mustang if you are a savvy, experienced fighter pilot and know what you're doing.

And here is the real praise for this game. At some point, you forget on some level that you're playing a sim, and you begin to get sucked completely and fully into the illusion. The only thing missing is blood-sucking G's, and the blackout feature is very convincing and realistic.

The airplanes are not locked onto invisible rails the way arcade game airplanes are. They are machines held loosely in realistic airflow, with three axes of control and with a realistic "feel" and "heft" to them that is indescribable, but that you recognize if you are a real pilot. If there is one thing IL-2 will teach you, it's to be SMOOOOOOTH. Yanking the joystick around and whacking it up against the stops like a seven year old playing Pac Man will just have your plane snap rolling and falling out of the sky in a flat spin.

And that brings up an important point. If you have zero or minimal flight experience, you are going to find this game to be very frustrating on its "realistic" setting. To be an ace in IL-2 1946, you are going to become an expert in smooth energy management and planned maneuvers in realistic fighters that require a lot of experience to get deep them into the enemy's six o'clock.

On the other hand, if you are an old PC ace from the golden age of PC-based flight sims, you are going to regret that you've waited this long to buy IL-2 1946. Quite simply, it's the best WWII era flight sim ever made, bar none.

Is it perfect? No. Your wingman, for example, is as dumb as they are in every PC flight sim ever made, and today I watched a Bf-109 roar up on my tail while my wingman, who was flying along in echelon right formation behind me, simply ignored him and kept holding formation. (Maybe I needed to give him a "cover me" command or something, but shouldn't that be automatic?) I still haven't figured out how to zoom the map in and out, and the German planes seem to have slightly more horsepower than they should. I didn't realize that a Bf-109 could simply climb slowly away from a P-51D at 20,000 feet, but that just means that you need to be planning ahead to have an altitude advantage and the ability to dive on him.

But the thing to understand is this: all the craftsmanship, beauty, accuracy and (of course) flaming pieces of Zero that you want in a WWII flight sim are here in spades, and all beautifully crafted beyond anything I've ever experienced before. You won't be disappointed.

BTW for those who don't think that the .50 caliber machine guns on the American planes are powerful enough, I disagree. I've watched a lot of WWII era gun-camera footage, and you really have to hold the trigger down and spray tracer right into most German fighters to get a kill. The Zeros are a little easier to light up, since they have no armor, but .50s don't have near the punch that cannon do and that's just the way it was. Get into kill position, pull your sight into lead, and hold the trigger down. If you do it right, his wing will come off or his motor will burst into flames, just like in the movies. Tally ho!

If you know IL-2 from the previous versions of this great WWII flight Sim, then you probably are going to get "1946" either for the new aircraft, to stay with the latest version on line, or just to have it all in one easy to install DVD.

If you don't know IL-2, then this is the version to have. If you have an interest in WWII aircraft, combat flight Sims or just want a good single player/LAN/On line flight game, then "1946" is probably the best choice around. All the previous IL-2 games are in here, plus some new content.

IL-2 has been around a while, and the developer will soon release a new WWII Battle of Britain Sim with some state of the art improvements. So why should you get "1946" when it's at the end of it's development life?

Well, because it's still a fantastic game, it covers all the theaters of WWII, there is a ton of user made content to be had, and your PC doesn't need to be bleeding edge to run it, but if you have enough graphics power to turn up the eye candy to the max it is almost a work of art in motion. The game is deep enough to delight the enthusiast, and yet is still accessible for the casual gamer to enjoy.

Installation of all the versions and patches for IL-2 used to be a daunting task, but 1946 makes it a snap. Sadly, there is no printed manual included, but there are .pdf versions of a manual and aircraft guide. There are lots of resources on line, most of them fan made, to help the novice pilot.

If you have "1946" and a joystick with twist rudder control and a throttle like the Saitek PS33 Aviator Joystick you have all you need to enjoy what will likely be the benchmark in WWII combat flight Sims for years to come. A joystick is almost mandatory. You can play "1946" with only a keyboad and mouse much like a dog can walk on it's hind legs, more as a stunt than a practical matter. If you become an enthusiast, there are more advanced controllers you can delve in to, but they aren'r really needed, but the joystick certainly is.

"1946" is a great game, a great simulation, and the ticket to a vast on line community of IL-2 content and fan support. I'm the merest duffer when it comes to mastering IL-2, and have yet to play the game on line after years of off line play, but I still enjoy it immensely, and recommend it fully.

"1946" might represent both the pinnacle and the sunset of a classic game, but it will be continue to provide great gaming for many years to come. Climb in and enjoy the ride.

I loved that it was laid out like an Xbox 360 controller as I prefer that controller to the PS3 controller. Unfortunately, this is not a well-made controller. The analog sticks are inaccurate, making it hard to aim precisely in FPS games. The buttons aren't very sensitive either and take very firm presses to register.

This controller is a replica of the Xbox 360 controller, for PS3 use. I bought it as an alternative to the PS3 controller and it worked great as long as it worked! Its been 10 months and the battery charge last no longer than 4 hours while using it and if you charge it and store it, its dead after one week of no use. So this controller wil work great while it lasts, but been forewarned that it doesn't last very long. I purchase my the controler in March 2012 and its almost non useable as of January 2013, due to the crappy battery.

I saw this little guy on a shelf at Fry's one day and it looked very sleek and ergonomic. I was surprised at seeing something so well made from a third party peripheral company like Nyko that is notorious for making crappy products. I love collecting controllers, so I kept this guy on my radar. I finally got it as a Christmas gift and I am very pleased, and has become my favorite PS3 controller thus far. When you put the thing in your hands your fingers just mold to the controller. It is more square shape than rectangle like the OEM controller. The texture of the controller feels great and is a very silky smooth rubber. The triggers are designed more like the Xbox 360 controller's and are much better than the OEM controller which I found my fingers slipping on a lot. The controller is slightly heavier than the OEM one, but it just feels so much nicer. The analog stick orientation is set up like the Xbox 360 so your thumbs don't bump into each other during frantic movement. The sticks are much smaller and the tops have a pretty deep dip so your thumbs stay nice and snug. I love how tight the sticks are, not too tight, but not as loose as the OEM controller. They click very nicely and the D-pad is small and gives great response when using it.

The overall look of the controller is great. It is all black and sleek with the PS Home button being a large square in the middle with a picture of a raven. The face buttons are clear with nice designs set inside. However, there is one useless feature that this controller has, that I have no idea why anyone would use. On the back there is an A-B switch that will swap the functionality of the shoulder buttons. No idea why this would be used, but it's there if anyone needs to use it I guess. The controller has a nice USB dongle (no bluetooth unfortunately) and comes with a USB charging cable which is rather short. There is a square LED right below the home button that will stay solid when charging, flash fast when charged, and slowly flash when low. This is a great hassle free way of telling what status your battery is in. The controller lasts quite a long time with a whopping 25 hours of battery life per charge. The larger battery may be why the controller is slightly heavier.

My only real issue is that the L1 and R1 buttons are a little too close together because of the controller's square shape. It takes a while to get used to this and you have to force your fingers in the right position, but after about 4-5 hours of playing it starts to feel natural. Other than that this is a very nice well made controller that doesn't feel like cheap plastic. For the low price I was surprised at how well made this was especially being wireless, having rumble, and SixAxis control built in. This is probably one of the best wireless controllers I have ever used and will be one I recommend to everyone.

Overall I love this controller! It's so cool to have one like this which has a slight feeling of being a PS3 controller, with more of an Xbox 360 controller slant to it. The controller is really cool looking, and feels great on its surface though it does feel a little bit uncomfortable in my hands.

The one major problem I have with the controller is that when I have played Madden 13, sometimes the controller will not execute some commands such as attempting an audible before the snap on offense.

Each time I use the controller I get more and more used to how the feel differs from the Sony brand PS3 controller.

One minor thing that I dislike about the controller is that while it can power off the PS3, it cannot turn the PS3 on like the Sony controller can. I suppose this would be a non issue for most people whom probably have the Sony Bluray remote anyways, though I am not going to spend $25.00 for a remote right now. I just use the Sony Controller with which I can power my PS3 on and then switch to my Nyko Raven and then turn off the Sony Controller.

It is nice that a Dongle to insert into the console is included with this controller! I did try another so called Bluetooth controller....did not work! With the dongle, you just insert it into the console and you are good to go! (After you charge the controller that is, as it does not come with a charge you have to charge then controller before you can use it.)

I was thrilled I was able to order this controller here on Amazon! I could not find this controller new in stock at any of my local retailers.

Of course whether or not you prefer the Xbox or PS3, the Xbox controllers are superior by far when compared to the Playstation brand controllers. I would like to possibly purchase another Nyko Raven PS3 controller in the future if they can make a few changes such as:

Better Response

More comfortable feel

Longer Battery life

Overall for the price, this is a great value! MUCH better than what I have seen as the $54.99 typical retail price for the Sony brand controller.

This controller has a lot of promise, but ultimately falls short.

I was drawn to the raven because it's styled like the Xbox 360 controller with the analog sticks asymmetrical and actual triggers.

The triggers are great, better than the Xbox because they angle outward slightly to match your fingers, and the ability to switch the R1 and L1 with R2 and L2 is fantastic because most games don't have the ability to remap those controls. However, the actual R1/L1 buttons are HORRIBLE! Very squishy and often don't register when you press them (my guess is because they are pressure sensitive for when you swap with the triggers, but I have not tested this functionality) I usually need to press them on the side closer to the middle of the controller, which is counterproductive to the outward angled triggers. This is really bad for games like uncharted (reload) and call of duty (grenades).

The analog sticks are also an issue. I had read reviews where people mention that the sticks have a large dead zone, but I found that the problem has more to do with the sensitivity. When you move the stick just a little bit it moves extremely slow (less than on other controllers), then about a third of the way to the edge it jumps to nearly maximum movement speed. My aim ends up jumping from side to side of the target because I can't fine tune my aim. For people who like the sensitivity extremely high this might be a plus, but for me it's very difficult to use.

The raven is also a bit smaller than an Xbox controller, about a 1/2 inch off the sides. The Xbox is also bumped out where you place your palms while the raven is mostly flat with mildly sharp bottom grips. After playing for about an hour my hands started to cramp and hurt in the palm and pinky/ring fingers. I also found myself having to grip a bit harder to hold the controller as well because of its size. In trying to it to make it look like a raven, they sacrificed a lot of functionality.

The Sixasis functionality works well, I tested it in killzone 2 and little big planet.

Another thing that was noted by other reviewers as well is that you cannot turn on the PS3 with the controller. I also have to press the ps button twice when starting up, once to turn on the controller, and a second time to connect it to the PS3.

I was hoping that this controller would be similar to the Xbox, or at least be more comfortable and functional than the DS3, but it's just a poorly executed product.

Review of Downhill Domination

It is virtually impossible to discuss Downhill Domination without making numerous references to the SSX series (from EA Sports Big), so there is no point trying to avoid such references in a review. Plus, it is quite likely that a player of Downhill Domination will have at least moderate familiarity with the SSX series.

Downhill Domination is the latest entry into the extreme sports genre popularized by SSX. SSX and its sequel SSX tricky focus on snowboarding, featuring over-the-top stunts and extremely personable characters, along with combat and numerous gameplay modes/challenges. Downhill Demolition is the same, except that it focuses on mountain bike racing.

Like the SSX series, Downhill Domination features several "initial" characters, plus others which must be unlocked. In the SSX series, more characters become available based upon total number of wins (with all unlocked characters); in Downhill Domination, however, bonus characters are unlocked by defeating various gameplay modes/challenges. Further, Downhill Domination includes several mountain biking celebrities as bonus characters.

In terms of characters, however, the SSX series (and SSX Tricky in particular) does a far better job of giving each character a personality. To some extent, the characters in Downhill Domination are essentially "the same." This is in part due to only-mediocre voice-acting, and in even greater part to the rather scant "phrasebook" allotted per character; this last point is particularly noticeable in longer events (such as Technical Downhill races) as the player's chosen character keeps saying the same catchphrase over and over and over and over and over and...

Like the SSX series, Downhill Domination has a great array of courses available. Courses are located on mountains in Italy, USA (three areas), Peru, Russia, Scotland, Japan, and Canada; each mountain is extremely different from the others, although the courses on each mountain are relatively similar. With the exception of Mountaincross courses, all the courses are extremely vast, with numerous alternate paths to be taken; Mountaincross courses are rather "linear," with alternate paths a rare find.

There is definitely plenty of action in Downhill Domination. With precious few exceptions, there is NO time for the player to "rest" on a course; obstacles and tight corners are seemingly everywhere. When in a pack with the other competitors, there is also a great tendency for opponents to fight the player (literally) during the descent, so the player must be wary of others at all times. Further, many of the obstacles on the courses are MOVING: spectators, animals, rockslides, and even vehicles can easily slow the player's character or cause a massive bone-breaking collision.

Extras abound in Downhill Domination. Some extras (such as new courses, bonus characters, and character-specific videos) are unlocked by continually winning. Others, however, can be purchased in the Bike Shop. Some of these extras provide cool visual effects, while others provide a means to customize the gaming experience to some extent. Some bonus levels can be purchased, such as the Moshbowl. Non-character videos can also be purchased, and better bikes can be purchased as well. However, the player should not expect to simply win a handful of races and be able to acquire the best buyable extras in the game; A LOT of time and numerous races are required to obtain the best extras.

One area where Downhill Domination truly stands out, however, is the game manual. Rarely is a game manual as informative about the tiny details of the game!!! Tips are scattered throughout the manual, which also details exactly how to unlock (or how much it will cost to purchase) every possible extra in the game. Representative screenshots and excellent artwork fill virtually every page. Finally, the back cover of the game manual lists half of the sixty-four tricks available in the game, providing the player with a handy quick-reference guide which is extremely useful when participating in the Freestyle Career; this same information is located within the game manual as well.

Without a doubt, Downhill Domination is among the top games released in 2003. In the extreme sports genre, only the SSX series (SSX Tricky in particular) is superior and even that is solely due to the personalization of the characters. This will definitely grab and keep a player's attention, and certainly raises the bar for the extreme sports genre.

Now, EA Sports Big must answer the challenge.

I am absolutely shocked that this game did not get more press or a dedicated fan base. This game is fast, fun, and the environments are awesome. The week it came out, the people at the store where I preordered it from were sick of me phoning to ask when it was coming in!!!

Choose a character, like Cosmo (from the UK) or Mai (from Japan) and a bike and get riding! You can choose from a variety of careers or just race a single race. Then hope on your bike and start riding!

Characters

Other than their name, basic stats, and country of origin, there isn't a lot to know about the characters. You have the opportunity to unlock additional characters, including real-life downhill pro riders. (Is it just me, or does Lisa Lopes look like Xena on steroids?)

Story

This game doesn't have a story, so much as it has different racing courses for you to unlock. The range of available courses is amazing. It includes:

* Mt. Liddleroch in the Scottish highlands, complete with castles and monks

* Mt. Zorkovaska in Russia, with snow and military bases

* Red Pass in USA, modeled after the beautiful rock features one can find in states like Utah

Although there isn't a ''mission'', the game has an awesome range of careers: Mountain Cross, Freeride, Arcade, Race, Technical, and more!

You can also upgrade your bicycle in the Bike Shop, which provides a wide range of tires, shocks, and frames. The Shop also provides a list of your sponsors (which you acquire the more you achieve in each of the various careers). You can also buy Extras, some of which can greatly enhance your biking stats!

Graphics and Sound

Wow, wow, wow. For a title that listed at $39.99 at its release, the graphics are far better than I imagined. No slowdown, no loading times within levels, and great detail on both the characters and the environments.

I usually hate the ''popular'' music that accompanies games (with THPS being the rare exception), but the music that comes with DD is far better than I expected. I usually mute the music on racing games, but this game is enhanced by the soundtrack.

Will This Gather Dust?

There are a lot of things to unlock in this game -things that I will not spoil the surprise with in this review. It has a high replay value for me, as I play it at least an hour or so a week, even 4 months after its release.

Overall Recommendation:

If you like downhill sports racing (Freekstyle, SSX, Amped, 1080), you'll like this.

If you like tight controls and cool tricks, you'll like this.

If you like realistic sports simulations, you'll like this.

Downhill mountain biking is relentlessly fast, extremely dangerous, and not for the faint of heart. Same goes for Downhill Domination, which delivers more frantic speed thrills than most extreme games. It's neither inaccurate nor an insult to call Downhill Domination "SSX on dirt." Not only do players choose one of 14 characters and careen down 27 enormous international mountains while busting tricks, smacking opponents, and collecting power-ups, but the controls are nearly identical, too. All stunts are performed with the shoulder buttons plus Triangle as a modifier (and it's not always comfortable). As you earn cash, you'll upgrade your bike and unlock goodies. Downhill Domination features an incredible sensation of speed and a canted camera that will make you leave your stomach at the top of the mountain. Narrow trails, treacherous terrain, and the fast gameplay really ratchet up the tension-it's hard to keep up, and you almost forget to do tricks in the mad scramble to stay upright. Avoiding polar bears, mountain goats, hikers, vehicles, and maybe even a sasquatch or two is all part of the frantic fun. Less enjoyable is the amazingly blatant product placement-bike brands like Trek and Specialized make sense, but while you pedal, billboards for online auction sites and energy bars peddle under the guise of earnable sponsorships. Gamers will tire of it quickly, along with the repetitive voice quips and lackluster music-whee, rap about bicycles! Action-sports junkies should at least rent Downhill Domination to experience its admirably difficulty and teeth-rattling sense of chaos. It's not for the weak.

Downhill domination is one of the best games I have ever played in my life. After you get past the menu (I had a little trouble starting a new game with a character) and choose from one of many different games such as a single event, like a race; the superjump; a career; and a mosh bowl (do I need to explain?) you enter the bike shop where you start the game by choosing a brand-name, real-life bike, from a well-known manufacturer such as Specialized, GT, Giant, and Karpiel; buy special unlocks with the money you make racing opponents, winning races, etc.; view your sponsors and "resume'," and customize bikes with a wide variety of brand-name parts.

From there you can choose from one of nine mountains, each with three different tracks, and then start throwing yourself off cliffs hundreds of feet tall and speeding down rocky trails in speeds excess of sixty miles per hour. Earn points by doing tricks, modifying them in hundreds of ways, and knocking opponents off bikes by kicking, checking, and hitting them with homing water bottles.

I will say it one more time, this is one of the greatest games I have ever played. I highly reccomend you discover this game for yourself, it is worth it.

I love this game! I usually [am bad] at racing games so I don't usually like them but this game is so fun. My husband and I sit and play it every night before we go to bed. Be careful though because it's addictive.

The graphics on this game are undescribable and unthinkable. The levels are much better and so are their plots, stages, and missions. The place that had the most improvement was the Chao homes. i have been waiting about a year and half for this game . At that time it wasn't officially announced, but i knew that they will make this game one day, and when i saw this yeaterday on the store i bought it right away. Anyway when i bought it, i thought it would be same as sonic adventure with better graphics, new characters, and new stages. But when i played for a while, i realized that this game was very different.

Differences1)you don't have to explore and find stages as if it's a RPG game. Like from sonic games from genesis, it brings you right to the action stage. 2)if you are thinking that this game is going to be too easy like the original SA you are wrong. This game's difficulty levels are much harder and more chellanging than the SA, and tails and Dr.Eggman's stages have puzzles to solve in order to proceed. ex. you have to find a switch to open doors. 3)it has many new moves and new options, such as grinding and chaos control and 2p play. 4)you don't pick a specific character and play only as him or her. Once you pick either hero or dark, 3 characters will constantly change as the story goes. 5)if you are playing as knuckles or rouge you are going to see that finding emeralds are more based on clues of the computer in the stages and the radars are not as accurate and reliable as SA. 6) in order to go to the chao world, you have to find the chao key in each stages, which makes it little harder. 7)you will find upgrade items in action stages since there is no such thing called adventure stages.(was that how it was called?) 8)and many more

so is the game better or worse than the original? i think it's better in most ways, but there are somethings that were better in SA.

better and prosbetter graphics and details (obiously). less or no slow downs. no exploring. faster gamepplay. More chellanging stages. longer and bigger stages. excellent story (at least as far as i'm in right now.) minigames and 2p play. Many more.

and worse and consit might take too long to find emeralds=frustrating. it might be too fast and hard to play, especially as sonic and shadow, you might fall and die when you try to grind on a vine or rail. They say better but i think this game's camera's even worse than SA. The boss battles are less intersting and the vehicles are not good as doesn't look as cool as SA. Play time is short, about 12-15hours according to a website.

Although this game isn't perfect and have minor some cons, the general gameplay, graphic, difficulty level etc improved a lot. And it is one of the best dreamcast games and one of my favorite games. If you like Sonic, even just a little bit, buy this game now. It won't dissapoint you. And when i am done with this game, i will be waiting sonic adventure 3 on gamecube and hopefully on ps2. (since i have a ps2 and i am not planning on buying a gamecube for a long time.)

On 9.9.99, when Dreamcast was launched, Sonic Adventure was a major hit. And it held and still holds the record for the best-selling DC game. But is that record's days numbered?

Sonic Adventure 2 is another one of those special Sega games that blasts the competition out of the water.

When the demo of Sonic Adventure 2 was released and now comes as a bonus with Phantasy Star Online (PSO), I just couldn't stop playing it. A lot of people couldn't.

The graphics have come a LONG way from Sonic Adventure. You can already notice the improvements in the beginning of the first level of the beautiful San Fransisco streets. Sonic escaping from an Army helicopter, skydives with his streetboard, and then slides his way through the city, eventually gets rid of his streetboard, and does the rest of the level on foot. Pretty close to the end of the level, Sonic has to run from a BIG 18-wheeler, similar to a scene in the 1968 movie "Bullitt" and will run from that all the way to the end of the level. The semi is beautifully detailed. Sonic's spines start to flap once he really starts to move. And the city itself is also quite gorgeous under the beautiful sun and not to the mention the lens flare.

And the levels after that get even better.

Sonic has lost a tad of weight. He now looks thinner than in the original Sonic Adventure. And he now sports Soap shoes.

Gameplay is just exceptional. Sonic Team has now fixed a lot of the flaws that were wreaking havoc in Sonic Adventure. You can now streetboard and finally earn points for pulling off tricks. And you can now do gymnastics and jump onto bars that are placed above stairs and a few other places. Time your dismount correctly and you'll get more air time. Tails and Dr. Robotnik (But sonic and the gang prefer to taunt him once again by calling him Eggman, referencing to his egg-shaped body and his "egghead" mind.) now do battle in mechanized artillery machinery. Sonic and Shadow compete in a race to the finish, and Knuckles and Rogue go against each other in a treasure hunt to find hidden jewels.

As for the characters, S.A. 2 will feature the same number of 6 playable characters as last time. Except this time, you can now play as Shadow, Dr. Robotnik and Rogue too.

Rogue and Shadow are the two new character additions to the game. Shadow sports a type of hover shoes that work like rollerblades or skates that hover. He may not sport Soaps, like Sonic does, but he can still grind on rails and do gymnastics.

Rogue is notable for being the first Sonic character to have polygonal breasts that bounce. She also has a tad of a crush on a certain red Echidna named Knuckles (Of course, she won't admit it.) and is definitely inspired by Knuckles determination to protect the Master Emerald. Although her trustworthiness is in question.

Without any doubt, there's a definite chance that Sonic Adventure 2 could take over the title as the best-selling DC game and might make the best platformer of the year. After being a Sonic fan for the full 10 years, this is DEFINITELY it!

And I'm glad he did! Lets face it people, it will never be the same playing a Sonic game on a non-Sega counsel! I know this game is coming to Gamecube...but seeing him on a Nintendo counsel (Who used to be Sega's biggest rival) is a bit strange! But if the true blue was going away, he was going away with a bang! And the result is "Sonic Adventure 2!" The first Sonic game for Dreamcast was a great game, but many people felt that most of the time they were just holding up on the analog most of the time! This is no longer a problem. Now you will have to turn...a lot!

That's right, no more running straight! Now it's time to actually make a few sharp turns in the game! Not to mention Sonic now has new moves which allowes him to grind, climb, follow rings in mid-air, flip, and snowboard! Sonic's new moves are great and stylish! Not only that, but Sonic's new rival Shadow has most of those moves (And some of his own) to add new challenges! The game is about rivals so you can choose weather or not to save the world or conquer it (It says so on the back of the box)!

There are problems though so don't think this is perfect! For one thing Tails (For some idiotic reason or another) spends his whole game in a robot shooting bullets instead of flying and stuff! I don't know WHAT he's doing THAT for...but it doesn't work for me!!! Next is the whole Knuckles/Rouge thing. These guys can glide, run fast, climb, punch and kick, and Sonic Team can't seem to give them anything better to do then search for pieces of the Master Emeralds!?! And these levels are slow, boring, and a bit on the tedious side!

Graphically speaking this game runs at a smooth 60 fps without a hint of slowdown! And at the speed this game goes at that's increadable! I don't think the PS2 could handle that speed (Although Gamecube might)! The english voices are still flawed and acted weakly, but now you have the choice to switch to the japanesse voices so I recomend you do so! The music is good, but for old times sake where the heck is some of the classic Sonic music? The Choa mini-game is fun and cute...but long!

I recomend you make sure you have time to take care of this stuff! What else am I missing...oh yeah the bosses rock! This is easily the best Sonic game yet! Although Sonic will now be on other game systems I'm glad that his last appearance on a Sega system turned out like this! Not that I have anything against "Sonic Shuffle," but that game would have been a weak exit for Sonic! If you own Dreamcast get this game! You won't be sorry!

This is one of Sega's best games. I like to play with both of the good and bad sides. I can beat the ultamate life form, but I haven't gotten around to it. I like how they added masks for the chao, hero and dark gardens, kindergarten, and some different abilitys when you are in the gartens (kicking, slapping, petting, whistling, petting, and flying forever.) I only wish that there was an adventure field like in Sonic Adventure 1.

I thought EA had really improved with NASCAR 2002, but this is much better. Due to that, I had to go back and edit my rating for 2002 (5 to 4 stars). This is truly the best NASCAR game ever made. EA took all that was right from the 2002 version and made it tremendously better. You still race 43 cars at a time (1 player), you still get to upgrade your equipment, you still get to work out sponsorship deals, etc. However, now you get to to do R&D, hire your own crew and builders, and build your own engine and chassis. Not only those improvements but also better physics, more realistic racing action, fantasy tracks, and the best new additionLightning Challenges. In these, you actually get to recreate exciting moments that real NASCAR drivers experienced, such as taking over for DE Jr. on the last 2 laps at Talledega.

Gameplay: 9.5

If you like NASCAR and racing games, then this is the one. Get yourself an excellent steering wheel controller and it is that much better. Career mode is the tops: sponsorsand keeping them happy, hiring your own team and keeping them motivated by finishing well, and building new cars (including the engine and chassis). Also: unlocking fantasy courses and legend drivers, getting used to the tracks through Thunder Plates, and the Lightning Challenges. Also excellent multiplayer mode as well.

Replay: 9

Once you are ensconced in career mode and you have got yourself a steering wheel, you will keep coming back for more... and more. Excellent game.

I played last years version and was pleased with the progress it was making. This year its 2002 version times 10!

Pros: 1. NASCAR is better than ever!

2. last years tweaks are fixed

3. an improvement in graphics

4. outstanding career mode

5. so many modes, that it will keep you busy for months!

6. the ability to import songs is available

Cons: 1. physics take some time to get used to

Best Deals for Nascar Thunder 2003 Xbox

Where to start? This is easily the best racing game I've played for the xbox. One of the primary reasons is because before this the best was NT 2002, and this easily tops that.

The game has been stepped up so much, it has a lot more replay value than NT 2002. There are "Thunder Plates" which are similar to "Madden Cards" if you play any of the newer Madden games. You may not be buying them, but they do the same thing, just attained differently. More to add, they have a Lightning Challenges where you can relive great nascar moments to earn more thunder plates. There's a Thunder License mode where you can get what is basically a practice mode. Last of the new things (that i've found so far), there's more then one song on it, and it's the first EA Sports game (that i've played) that will let you use the songs saved on your xbox.

It's still got the Quick Race, Season, Career, Create a Car modes that are the same as they were last year. Career may have newer options to change to fix your car, i havn't gotten that far yet. But there's plenty of new things that add a lot to the replayability that made people tire of NT 2002. EA fixed that and added.

To shorten it up, if you liked NT 2002, or have ever like a Nascar game in the past, or any other racing game, buy it immediatly.

"NASCAR Thunder 2003" is really an excellent game. There is a variety of modes to play and a lot of different things you can do to keep your interest piqued.

"Thunder" lets you race at every track NASCAR races on as any one of the drivers on the Winston Cup circuit. There is also a Create-A-Car mode that lets you design and build your own car to race, as well as a career mode, where you start a team from scratch and race to the top over 20 years. You have to research new technology, sign sponsors and crew members, and meet certain goals in order to make money. It's a very deep mode, and you have to go through a few frustrating years before you really start to get good.

Part of what can help you is the Thunder License mode, which allows you to race by yourself at every track with the help of the driver of your choice. Richard Petty instructs you on how to race the track and then you try and complete laps in a certain amount of time. It sounds easy, but it's really not.

Probably the best mode is the Lightning Challenge, where you take control of race cars in certain situations and try to meet certain goals. Most of these are "win the race" goals, but there's a few other interesting ones, like avoiding crashes and trying to make it through a race on a less than full tank. Each challenge has a call from the race and is introduced by a driver. If you complete these and other things throughout the game, you're awarded with Thunder license plates, which unlock extras, like the cards in other EA Sports games.

Graphically, Thunder's not the best looking game, but it's still sharp. There's sort of a grainy look to it, but the tracks and cars are very well detailed. Soundwise, there's not much. The cars sound like, well, cars and the voices over the radio say the same thing over and over again. There's no crowd noise and minimal announcing, but, in reality, you couldn't hear any of that in an actual race anyway.

The gameplay is where Thunder really shines. The controls are very simple to learn, but tough to master. If you push the brake or the steering too hard, you might spin out, although there are assists that help you when you start out. There's also other little touches that race fans will appreciate, like drafting and deciding what you need in a pit stop. You also have to qualify for the races so you get the best positions.

Overall, this is a definite buy for every race fan or just a fan of driving games. And for only [$$$], it's well worth the price, especially since it's current with the early part of the season.

This is a great Nascar game if your are just a casual fan or a hardcore Nascar fan. The multi-player mode is a blast and the graphics are awesome. You can build your own car and hire your pit crew. The better you do, the better your crew gets, and the more money you make allows you to buy better engines and cars. I would recommend this game!

I have read some of the other reviews listed and we all seem to have the same thing in common. We enjoy the gameplay, however the overall game falls severely short. I'm not going to go into everything I liked about the game, however I feel the need to list some of the shortcomings.

Maybe it's nitpicking, but none of the cinematics shown in the commercials or the original trailer are part of the game. It might not be huge, but that was what got me so excited to purchase the game in the first place. Apart from that, the game is cut severely short. I have seen reviews showing 7 9 hours of gameplay, however I work at night and take care of my newborn during the day. I get between 1 and 2 hours of "me time" to sit and enjoy my xbox. I started the game on Wednesday and finished on Thursday. At most, a good 4 hours. I was shocked that the game ended when it did, during the "final" battle, I actually thought it was the mid point and very disappointed when I realized it was already over.

Don't get me wrong, I did love the gameplay, graphics and sound, but someone definitely dropped the ball when it came to content. If you are going to buy this, make sure you either wait for a price drop or use a promotional credit from other games to offset the cost...

I was very much looking forward to this game, being a fan of the first in the series, and a huge fan of the Star Wars saga in general.

As far as positives go, the gameplay is significantly improved. Controls seem more precise and the combat can be a lot of fun. Graphically the game is 100% better than the already attractive first installment, and one of the better looking games I've played on the 360. Sam Witwer again reprises the role of Starkiller and does a fantastic job, as do most of the voice actors (though many of them don't get a chance to do much.)

The bad is pretty much anything and everything else. This is one of the shortest games I have ever played, and I've played a lot of games. An experienced player could probably do this in about 4-6 hours, and anybody that's not very good still won't get 8 out of it. There are 4 (four, IV) levels. Let's take a moment here. This is a 60 dollar game with 4 (four, IV) levels in it. So, I'm not really going to go any further into that. They are rather long, but you know, it's just...well, yeah.

The story is disastrous. There's way too much going on, except none of it gets developed. So there's not really anything going on, just a feeling of jumbled and rushed trips to planets and familiar characters. All of the growth into a good person that Starkiller did takes a step backward in this one, as he selfishly searches for Juno Eclipse, almost totally disregarding the Rebel Alliance that he started! Kota was in the game, but other than saying "boy" a lot he wasn't much like the wise old Jedi I remembered. Proxy has about four lines, and I'm not sure if he beats out Juno in the dialogue department. Boba Fett and Yoda do appear in the story, but if you've seen the trailers featuring them, you've really seen all they have to offer.

The story (if you will) ends right where it seems it should get interesting. It feels like you're playing half of a decent game, and then halfway through it just stops. No ending, just a crappy set up for future DLC and a third installment. Which means I paid 60 dollars for a 4 hour half story that makes no sense, and I have to spend more money to see if it even goes anywhere.

Now the game was fun, I did enjoy playing it. I just think it's a rental at worst, borrow at best. The fact that I spent $60 dollars on this disgusts me.

I'm usually a big Lucas fan, but you know how everybody jokes about Lucasfilm just being a money whore, with no interest in quality or content?

In this case, they are right.

IT F'ING ENDS... done... finished... kaputt... OVER! Were talking in like 4 hours here. I set aside a whole weekend for this garbage. I beat it Friday night... Seriousy! I have to first identify myself. I am a huge Star Wars video game fan. The first Force Unleashed game was fantastic with some minor issues...but overall a fantastic game.

With that said I was extremely excited to play the sequel, and now that I have beat the game already (around 7 hours on hard difficulty) I have to say it was fun but lackluster.

The biggest complaint I have is the story isn't on par with the quality narrative we got in the first game. I don't want to spoil any aspects of the story for you, but believe me when I say you won't come out of this game feeling complete like you did with the first. I got the same feeling playing this as I did with Halo 2, where the story doesn't seemed finished and they are MAKING you wait for the next game to get the final pieces...that should have been in this game.

The game play is definitely improved over the last game. Some of the game mechanics were pretty tough in the first Force Unleashed, but they have made them a lot easier to use. Control of the character is easier and the force abilities are easier to use.

The graphics are fantastic! This game on a HD tv is absolutely gorgeous and run very smooth.

Bottom line this is a great game still even with its short comings. If you played the first game you should still play this game. Even though it is short it is still fun. Even though the story is below the quality of the first game, it is still enjoyable.

Is the game worth paying $60 for? Well, that is up to you.

Save your money. It ended so fast. And the fight with darth vader was like playing on a old PS 2 version. Graphics are great but the first one kills this game. Now I want to buy back the first one for epic memories. Definitely a classic. This new one is garbage, boss fights are less epic because you dont fight beings of equal or greater power....beating vader in this one was so easy. Beating vader in the first one was tough and hella epic. My point is.....this game is trash...I dont think I will ever pre order anything again because it seems preorders are never worth it.

...what more could you ask for in a first person shooter? First I'd like to say...I absolutely love this game. It is fun and intense. Talk about getting drawn in to a video game, Mace Griffin: Bounty Hunter is addictive! It has long and interesting levels that, at times, seem to never end. You can save if you want to take a break, but only at the last check point(I just pause the game, turn my TV off and leave the XBOX on). The A.I. is better than any other FPS I've ever played. A.I. actually hides from you and it even seems to stratigize to circle around you at times. It's neat to watch. But don't get too watchful, because you'll get ambushed from behind or at your sides.

The outerspace/in-ship levels are absolutely amazing as well. The enemies are a little hard to hit when trying to control the ship, but that makes it challenging and extends the longevity and value of the game in my opinion.

There is NO slow-down when looking around like some FPS's and the texturizing is very good, not as good as say 'TimeSplitters2' for the XBOX, but enough to make it look smooth and beautiful.

Overall this game is a must for any First Person Shooter fan.

I never even heard of this game until recently and I was pleasantly surprised. While it is no halo it is definitely fun and LOOOOONG. I love first person shooters and this did not let me down.

I played the demo on this game and it was totally awsome! You start in your space ship, shoot a couple bad guys..and when ever you want you can get out of the cockpit and walk around the ship...its sweet...anyways then you fly to this big ship and fly inside of it land, get out, then start snipin dudes on a balcony..(all with no loading screens!) i strongly suggest you at least rent it...i will definetly buy it...

This game had great potential, the graphics and sound are awesome. That's really the only positive thing I can say about it. The game seems to be buggy on Xbox. Every once in a while, when you complete an objective, "Objective Completed" flashes acoss the screen. The next objective may not be triggered. Now you've got nothing to do but restart it and hope it lets you move on next time. It will let you eventually if you don't mind repeating the levels over and over. After getting sick of this, I got disgusted and handed it over to my brother to try on his Xbox. The results were the same. Don't waste your money!

Ok the 250 (generic) or any other generic HDD works great...BUT it WILL NOT PLAY ORIGINAL XBOX TITLES. But there is a fix. Go to link and look up the thread "Xbox games dont work selfmade HDD problem" and follow the instructions. I had to do some serious digging to find this out. You will need a transfer cable to hook up to your computer in order to restore partition 2. The program used is "Xplorer360 Extreme2" you must run the program as computer administrator. The Generic HDD's are missing a working partition 2 file which is basically the original XBOX emulator and will not work until you do this. Otherwise this hard drive will only play 360 titles. Its a pretty easy fix but it still sucks you have to bother doing all this. it was hard for me to find the proper info to fix the problem so I hope my review here will at least help people that buy this HDD fix the problem a little easier.

I just got the item today, I plugged it in for the very 1st time, then i got an E68 Error. So I unplugged the console and plugged it back in, and got the same problem, I then removed the Hard drive and the console worked perfectly fine without it. So i plugged it in another xbox and got the same problem.

I was suspicious at first, since it was so cheap. However, with the exception of not being able to directly transfer my personal info from my old HDD to this one (had to use FTP program to my PC) it works exactly as advertised. It is NOT an original Microsoft product, just in case you were wondering, but if you have no information you can't re-download you will never be able to tell the difference.

The controller is awesome its just as described a 10 Mode Dual Rapid Fire Controller, and it works great. At $65 its also one of the best if not the best deal I have found for the same style controller. I was also surprised at how fast it got shipped after the controller was put together (It shipped on Friday and was delivered Monday), so I highly recommend both the controller and the seller.

I've played this game many, many times. But unfortunately, it's one of those games that you will either love or hate, which you can tell by the reviews here and I love it.

This game is pretty lengthly, gives you a choice of things to say in response to questions and is overall fun, especially since you get to play the entire movie. I recommend this game to die hard fans, but like I said, don't be surprised if for some reason you don't like it. Some do, some don't. Simple as that

First thing to remember with this game is KEEP WITH IT. Once you have mastered the controls it does get better. Based on the Phantom Menace movie, you get to control the characters Obi-Wan, Queen Amidala and others. With various weapons, blasters, rocket launcher and the favourite the light saber. Background music is great, the graphics aren't so great but still playable with. The Cut scenes are your standard fare but are pretty impressive. It does get hard in places but by using the 'try, try again' method you should eventually get through it, puzzles are solvable and light-saber duels near impossible. The only major aspect of the game that I was dissapointed with was the ending you'll see what I mean when you get there.

I first played this when i was 12 and absolutely loved it. i dont have a playstation anymore but im ordering it to play on my ps2. Yes, the graphics are terrible, the sound isnt good, but the actual gameplay itself is so much fun. this game has a free roaming feel to it, because you can do whatever you want. lots of random glitches happen but if you save your game every once in a while then its no big. Also, a lot of the one star reviews kept saying that when you die in a level you have to start all the way over...this is the case but what they didnt say is that you can save your game at any time down to the second. you have a huge jump to cross a gap? just save it, and if you dont make it, load your game and you'll end up right where you were. not great, but overall a fun game. the gameplay is what got this one 4 stars.
