Here are some things you have to know when buying this game:

1. There is no online game play

2. This game requires a Steam account which means you will have to have an internet connection(Very stupid I know).

3. Once the game installs, the steam account needs to update the game. Be VERY VERY patient because it takes forever! Mine took 7 hours to update! Many people get so excited to play that they keep clicking on the "launch" button to play the game and don't let it install completely. Every time you hit the "launch" button the update will have to start over.

4. 2k Sports made a big error and forgot to send key codes with most of the games they sent out. They solved this by allowing you to install the game without a key code so it is NO longer an issue.

5. If you have any other issues with the game, go to

Here you will find a solution to almost any problem you may be facing.

Once you get the game to work it is AWESOME!! With all the problems people have been facing it might be worth it for you to wait 9 months and buy NBA 2k10 where most of these problems will be fixed (hopefully) and there will be online game play.

The bottom line is if you can find this game used for under $10, it is definitely worth your time and money.

NBA 2K9 on the PC is the best game ever. Before I had NBA Live 08 for the PC and I thought that it was pretty good. However, after playing this game Live 08 is average.

This game has the great graphics since it is a Xbox 360 port, so it has the next-gen graphics! In addition, it has the features that the 360 version has like substituting on the fly, calling plays and team strategies. This game has pretty good commentary. The game has a realistic atmosphere.

There are many different modes such as a season, playoffs, slam dunk contest, 3pt. shootout, 21, pickup games, and a practice mode, where you can practice the different offensive plays which tell you where to move your controlled player.

There is even a free throw practice mode--something I wish NBA Live 08 had.

The Shot Stick is a very fun way to shoot since it can perform many different types of shots, layups and dunks based on the direction you put the Right Analog Stick. This increases the number of shots you can perform since each direction has a different move. With a shot stick, you have more control over the type of shot you would like.

I am really liking the automatic substitutions of NBA 2K9, since you can have them based upon the players' fatigue or the team's rotation. One aspect that makes it good is that it recognizes players' secondary positions and substitutes based upon them.

For instance, I use the Phoenix Suns & when Shaquille O'Neal is subbed out, it recognizes that Amar'e Stoudemire can play at center, so it slides him over, and inserts Matt Barnes at PF.

In Live 08, it would put Robin Lopez at center. This is where the rotations are important, since Lopez isn't a big part of my team's rotation.

2K Sports did the right thing putting out this game on the PC since ea sports decided not to make its game on the PC.

I highly recommend this game and at $20.00, you cannot go wrong! Buy it so that NBA 2K will continue to come out on the PC in future years.

Many options in passing and shooting. Also, the game has great graphics. Would have been better for PC users if there were visual illustrations for a PC compatible game pad. Hard to dunk with any regularity, even right under the basket. Overall, a very good game.

Honest reviews on NBA 2K9 - PC

This game is a simplistic and poorly executed port of 2K Sports XBOX 360 version. They even include a picture of the XBOX 360 Controller in the manual. If you have an XBOX 360, pay the extra money and play it on your 360, this game is a piece of the trash. The menu system is jacked up, sometimes you can use your mouse other times you need to use your joystick or your keyboard, it's never consistent or logical. But the problem that seals it at 1 star is the fact that it gives you an error message when you try to configure a controller that isn't for the 360 and the default configuration does not have the direction arrows or secondary buttons assigned. I have no desire to play a basketball game with my keyboard. Further complicating this debacle was that tech support was useless and simply suggested they couldn't solve the problem because their are many types of controllers. I have played countless games including tons of freeware games that all work with my controller. This is a beta game all the way, only they aren't interested in fixing the problems. Run away, and run away quick! However, you'll need to press a button on your keyboard though, as the trigger/run button on your controller will be rendered useless.

Best PC basketball game ever for playability. Horribly menu system. If the menu system were better, or if there were documentation to explain the menu system at least, then it would be a 5 star game for sure. Even with the debillitating menu system it is a fantastic game.

Added this beast to the group and opened up new characters to the game. Enjoyed the adventure it brings to the game, works with both spyro and giants platforms.

Ugh.... obvious point-out aside. I had a feeling that Zook would be a fun character to play (and NOT just because he's a walking, Rastafarian-accented, bamboo guy with a bamboo bazooka.), over all, he's a decently reliable far-range-attack Skylander, a few notches down from Flameslinger and Gill Grunt. He also has MIRV mortars which allow an elevated attack (with a pineapple missile, lol), and he "grows" a barrier to slow down oncoming enemies, making him more effective at KEEPING his enemies far. His speed is good, but his armor and attack lack a bit (at first, until you boost with with challenges).

His tactics.... along WITH being a reggae plant-man with an awesome, somewhat scruffy face with a big toothy grin... makes him a worthy add-on to your Skylander cast.

Bought this to complete the collection and found it to be a great character on the game and worth having over other Skylanders in I and my kids prime lineup. It has since been released in Skylanders Giants with a new look but same functionality. However I still have the original and it works on all three games so far. Great character for the game.

There are not many places I have found an item like this and I was not sure before I purchased if this was made well or would fit correctly. The item arrived in a plastic pouch with no instructions. But that is not an issue as it was pretty easy to figure out. The cutouts fit perfectly and I am really pleased with the design, fit and purchase.

I am a WAHM of one 14 month old; I gaining a LOT of weight during my pregnancy (no thanks to the women who kept saying "You're too small!" as they shoved cake and chips in my face!) and I've had a heck of a time getting it off (even though I eat VERY healthy). I used to be VERY active and loved running and/or going to the gym, but we can't afford a gym membership (or a babysitter on a daily basis so I could actually GO to the gym and I'm too tired after my husband gets home to go to the gym anyway) OR one of those outrageously expensive jogging strollers (for those prices, they should get better ratings!). I've tried baby & mom yoga (a book)that didn't work for me. I purchased a DVD on Amazon, Pilates for Everyone I think it was calledthat was better than the yoga book, but I found that the gap between the beginner and intermediate workouts was WAY too wide for me (the beginner workouts got too easy and the intermediate workouts, yeah, I couldn't even make it through the first five minutes of one). This is the BEST thing I've found so far and I am LOVING it! :-)

So let me break it down.

Things I LOVE about this:

1. Custimizationyou enter your weight, target weight (if you need to), resting/active BPM, flexibility, etc, even the excersize equipment you already own and it will tell you what your MAIN goal should be (mine being weight loss, obviously). You enter days of the week you can work out and how much time you can spend working out on those days.

2. TempoIt doesn't seem to be repetitive at all, like my Pilates DVD was, it never got boring.

3. Scroll barThere's a scroll bar on the bottom of the screen as you do a work out that tells you what you're doing and shows you what is up next as well. For example, it shows a picture of two free-weights before the next segment if you need to use them during the next excersize. And there is a clock counting down the time (which I REALLY need, I need to be able to see that the time is going DOWN and I'm making progress) and it tells you the level of difficulty of the exersize that you're doingboth under the time and on the scroll barone line for level one, two bars for level two, you get it.

4. TutorialYou can pause and review the tutorial at ANY time, as needed.

5. The Personal InstructorShe virtual and she doesn't look like freaking Barbi, THANK GOODNESS! :-) (In fact, she looks a lot like me BEFORE I had my daughter :-) )

6. ReinforcementBefore you start your workout for the day, you can change what the personal instructor has chosen for you (if she recomends cardio, and you aren't feeling up to it, you can change it to some other area of focus). She asks you how you're feeling both before you start your workout and in between at intermitent points so if you need MORE positive reinforcement, she will do more "rooting". :-)

7. Recipes and meal plans and shopping lists, oh my! I don't use these, I'm vegetarian, no sugar, and I'm decreasing my intake of dairy products so I have my own healthy recipes customized to fit MY life and budget, BUT these are a great idea and I may actually flip through the 4500 (gasp!) recipes for something new.

8. She KNOWS if you missed a day! Yup, I guess if you miss a day, it will show up on your "progress", which may annoy some people, but I feel guilty VERY easily so if I miss a day I'd feel guilty because not only would I know, the virtual Personal Instructor would know it too, so she'd remind me of it. And that would work to my advantage so I wouldn't skip a day unless I was really sick or something.

9. The "LEVELS" I think this is so cool. Like most other video games, the more time you spend doing it, the more levels open up to reward you. In this case, the "levels" are the spaces where your personal trainer works out (yeah, I'd like to work out in a field surrounded by green grass and waterfalls for REAL!) but it makes for a nice change of scenery.

10. Calories At the end of your work out, it tells you how many calories you've burned! That is SO important for me because I need to see improvement.

11. Workouts I get bored easily, and my target is weightloss so when the personal trainer recomends I do cardio, it's not just cardioin my cardio workouts there are some cardio weight training exersizes too, which is nice so I don't get bored! There are also water breaks after strenuous steps and stretch breaks after each cardio weight set and the workout time includes stretching at the end. ALSO even though my main goal is weight loss, the personal trainer doesn't suggest that I do just cardio for every single workout. For example, if I do a 30 minute workout, the first 10-15 minutes will be cardio, and the remaining workout could be upper/lower body strength, flexibility, core body strength, etc. So I end up with a very well-rounded week of workouts.

12. The "camera angle" changes throughout the workout so you can see what it should look like from different angles and it changes the back drop behind the personal trainer too, so it's not boring.

13. In addition to the daily workouts, you can also chose "Meditation Garden" and do a roughly 20 minute yoga session. I've been doing this at the end of the day before bed after my daughter is asleep and it's WONDERFUL! It's so great to have yoga in this "game" too! It's like having everything I need in one place!

Things that I would improve:

1. Ok, this is silly, but it'd be fun to change her body type or even her weight, and her clothes/hair color/eye color, etc. But that's more play and less workout and I guess that's really not the point of the "game". :-) That's just the child in me.

2. During the cardio, while you're doing any type of work with reps and weights, I wish that the number of reps would count down on the screen as you are doing them with the personal trainer, because again, I like to see results.

3. I think this is mainly geared towards women, for the very fact that the personal trainer is a woman. But my husband is going to use this as well (for improving his core strength) and he said he'd rather have a male personal trainer than female.

4. When I was setting up my customized section, after I plugged in my height and weight, the personal instructor instructed me that I was over the weight range for my height. Now maybe this is just me being uber-sensitive, but DUH! I'd rather just have it just state at the end that my target goal is weight loss so I will be doing a lot of cardio in my customized workouts.

5. Although I don't have a problem with this because my husband already had an x-box, it would be more versitile if they came out with one that can be played on regular DVD players OR one that can be played on BOTH an x-box AND a DVD player (and for the x-box, they could just have you use the x-box remote that plays movies instead of the controller).

6. Although I LOVE the Meditation Garden yoga sessions, I would like to know how many Calories I've burned at the end of each sessionthe "game" only tells you how many Calories you've burned at the end of each "Workout" session.

I was a little apprehensive about this at first, I'll admit, I thought it was a silly idea, but I LOVE it now! Once I got into it and started the workout, it was fun and not boring at all! This is perfect if you are a mom (or a dad, I know some dads stay at home or work at home too)/ hate the gym/ don't have $ for the gym AND a personal trainer AND a nutritionist/ get bored easily/ need positive reinforcement/ need a schedule/ need something different in each workout/ need custimization... ENJOY! :-)

I was taken back when I noticed this on the shelves of my local gaming store. So I read the back, came home and did a little on line research.

It was less than 24 hours after that, when I decided to purchase this product.

This is a great "game" that takes getting in shape very seriously. You answer some questions at the beginning and do some exercises to allow the trainer, Maya, to get a feel for your overall health.

Once you've done that, Maya has created your personalized training schedule, eating schedule and I was ready to go!

During my first workout, Maya gave plenty of encouragement (based on how I was answering questions throughout the workout)to keep me going. The bottom of the screen displays the workout that you are doing along with the next one coming up, including rests and water breaks. She can incorporate a stepper, flexibility ball, hand weights and a heart monitor in the workout.

The variety of the workout was AMAZING and I sweating more after 30 minutes with Maya that I ever have doing other videos.

This is definitely worth the $34 price tag just to have your own personal trainer in your Xbox whenever you want one.

Overall, this is only a 4 star product since it doesn't really tell you how much you "need" to lose and how you are going to get there. I also would have liked a BMR calculation with calories taken in so I can see what I need to burn off to lose some weight.

I'm a single male in his late 20's who one day kind of by accident found this game here on Amazon. So I went out and bought it and I have just finished my first workout tonight. I have to say that I am very impressed because this game is a workout and not really a game at all. I broke a serious sweat the first workout that I took. They even have yoga on there and I think that is one thing that I will be doing more of because it teaches you the positions as you go. This game may be targeted towards women which I think is great because not many games are. But, I think that men can even benfit from using the game too. I really like the concept and I can't wait to see what the developer responsdesign does next. They really do make as their motto says "Games that are good for you". I think any game that can make you get up off the couch and get involved physically is a good game to begin with. It's a really groundbreaking concept because Maya the trainer seems almost human at times. This is why I play video games not just to pick up a controller but to become involved with the action physically. I can't say enough about this title! It may not be the best selling or best looking XBox game but it's the most inovative concept I have seen since all the dance pad games came out and before that all the old NES games with the pad. So check this game out and this is coming from a hard-core gamer here.

Honest reviews on Yourself Fitness

Definitely not. After reading all the rave reviews this "game" is getting, I decided to be a sceptic and buy it for the sole purpose of finding it's flaws.

Then I met Maya, and she showed me all of my flaws instead. And then I started to hate her perfectness even more, because she showed me my flaws nicely!

I had no idea how out of shape I truly was until my fitness evaluation. I rolled my eyes and trudged through it, saying aloud that it was so lame, but secretly thinking it was the coolest, most innovative thing ever. I looked at Maya, and sad, "Seriously. Jumping jacks??!! Puh-lease. Are we in third grade gym here?" Then I began doing them.

So after I regained consciousness, I huffed and puffed through the rest of the evaluation. Then I was given a workout schedule recommendation, and a plan for healthier eating. I was happy with how thorough it was. And the food is very simple, yet extremely yummy! Nice, normal, healthy choices. Things I actually have in my house!

RUN, don't walk, to go buy this right now. It's wonderful for beginners, or even the advanced who is looking for a change of pace to get away from their latest plateau. The Yoga Meditation Garden is wonderful, the workouts are wonderful, Maya in wonderful, the food plans are wonderful. I know I sound like a broken record, but it's truly that impressive. My entire body aches so bad that it's painful to type this review. Who knew I had muscles in there somewhere?

A thousand times cheaper than a gym membership and a personal trainer, even if you have to buy an Xbox for it. They are planning to release a PS2 version in January, so it would be a great gift for the New-Years-Resolution-to-get-in-shape person. There is also access to a wonderful, supportive companion site where you can post a journal if you'd like, or just share your "war stories" about Maya.

All in all, this is the best thing I have ever bought for our Xbox. Besides Halo 2. ;)

I am editing this review today, Friday March 4, 2005 (originally written in Nov. 04) to add that with the help of this game, I have gone from a size 20 to a size 14. In 4 months!!! I follow Dr. Phil's food plan, and use this program 5 days per week, and the pounds have just melted off. Not a week goes by that I don't see improvement.

Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Yourself Fitness

You can read other reviews for the good things about this title. Here are a few problems:

1) Sometimes the program just won't do the workout you select. Three times today, I tried to make it give me a core workout and it kept doing upper body (which I just did yesterday and didn't want to repeat so soon).

2) I use other programs or running for cardio, so I'm already warmed up when I start YF. There's no way to tell the program to just get to the exercises. And there's no way to input workout data so the program knows you're doing cardio elsewhere. It will keep suggesting you need it.

3) There's no way to tell the program to not use a particular exercise. If you're bored by a move or it exacerbates an injury, too bad. Chances are, it's a move the program will use over and over for minutes at a time.

4) There's no option to build your own workout. I really wish the program was more customizable, giving me a list of exercises to string together to work the muscles I want to work on any given day.

5) It asks how groups of exercises made you feel, but there's no option to indicate a particular exercise is too much. You can make the whole workout easier, but that's not necessarily a good thing. For example, yesterday's upper body workout kept hammering me with pushups. I simply couldn't keep up. Telling the program to ease up only meant the next few exercises were shown without weights...but those exercises were for my biceps. I needed to tell the program enough already with the pushups.

I haven't decided if I'll keep using the program or not. It's definitely good to have some variety in my workout, but it's not good to feel frustrated by limitations and glitches.

Best Xbox 360 Pad EX 2 with Turbo - Blue Deals

Xbox 360 Pad EX 2 with Turbo - Blue

Ok for a while now I needed another controller badly, so I went to gamestop and bought one of theirs to tide me over. That was a big mistake, it had more problems straight out of the box then I had ever seen in a controller. So I started looking around and have always wanted to try a Hori pad. So I found this little gem and compared it to the other pad that is about 20 dollars more then this one.

I can say I have gotten my money's worth with this controller. Just forget about the other one, it's just not worth it.

Lets look at the pro's

Pros:

Great design. This thing feels good and sturdy in your hand and once you get use to the 2 bumper buttons on the side( I seemed to always want to press them instead of B, or Y untill I was use to them)you will feel right at home. Also the sticks pop back into place nicely and have texture on the top so your thumbs dont slip off. And don't forget the D-pad, this is probably one of the best D-pads I have used in a long time, responsive, textured and just fits real nice on your thumb, Good job Hori!

Sensativity adjustment for the sticks: This is a nice feature although it does not change them a lot I could tell the difference.

Turbo button: This is awesome!!! You can use this button to make any one of the buttons have a turbo feature which offers 3 different settings, and allows you to use more then one button as turbo.

Fighting fans love the Lb and RB: This of course makes fighting games all the better when you have the buttons lined up for weak mid and strong attacks, so this set up makes it all the easier.

Xbox live mics sound real good: This was a problem for me, since one of my major complaints was that with cheaper controllers and ones that were corded, My mic always sounded like their was a buzzing or hissing noise. With the Hori, I am heard loud and clear with no interferance at all.

price: come on this thing is cheap compared to alot of controllers out their especially if it is from MS. I know it is corded and wireless controllers are great and all, but I am never really more then 10 feet away while playing so it does not bother me at all to have a cord.

The only thing I really don't like about this controller is the ugly Xbox insignia in the middle of the controller, it's just plain ugly to look at and isn't quite as big as on a ms controller.

Something to take note of to also is the ABXY buttons are a little smaller since the LB and RB buttons are on the face now, but it really is not a bad thing and only after a couple hours of play with this bad boy I was use to it.

Last thing is I have only used the controller for FPS games like borderlands, Gears 2 and modern Warfare 2. I saw in a lot of the reviews saying this controller was not real good for FPS. I can't agree with that. After I got use to the design of the controller I was pulling off head shots, and placing grenades right where I wanted them to be. It worked perfectly!!!

I enjoyed it at first cause it was new then about 2 weeks of owning it, the thing just died on me n had to toss it out...

Honest reviews on Xbox 360 Pad EX 2 with Turbo - Blue

this controller has helped me with several games. it has two modes of turbo (one requires you to hold the button down and the other is continuous without you having to hold the button.) as well as 3 speed rates for the turbo. it also has the left and right bumpers on the face of the controller as well as the shoulders making easy for those who prefer this setup when playing fighting games. my only real complaint is that it isn't a wireless controller. overall a great buy if you're not that good at rapidly tapping a button or need an extra advantage.

Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Xbox 360 Pad EX 2 with Turbo - Blue

Please note.. my experience with this pad is solely for Super Street Fighter IV. When I play other games, I still go back to the original 360 control pad.

For fighting games, it is in my opinion superior to any of the other pads I've used (PS3, 360, Mad Catz). The build is very good, very much like the 360 pad. All the buttons and the control pad are really responsive. I like the fact that it has a + control pad rather than a round floating one because I play Guile a lot and charge moves in general are a breeze. This is a personal preference, but I like the smaller buttons (vs Mad Catz) because I have a semi-largish hand and at times have pushed the wrong buttons on accident when using my old Mad Catz. The buttons are closer to size as the 360. For you people who like using analog, it feels looser than the 360, but there is also sensitivity control.

What I don't like... well, mostly the fact that the shoulder buttons appear both on the shoulder and the face. I would have much preferred it to be hardwired similar to the Mad Catz one even if it meant having 2 less buttons. I would rather use the shoulder buttons as the 3x punch/kick, but as it is now.. I'm forced to use the triggers instead. Luckily the triggers don't have as much action as the 360 and PS3 triggers and it will register as a button press sooner than the two. Also a con for me, is the placement of the turbo switches. I personally don't use turbo, so they get in my way. I would have preferred start and back to be placed there instead and the turbo button as far away from sight as possible. I guess one bonus for their placement though.. since they aren't buttons, accidental pressing of start/back/select is rather difficult.

I'm definitely sticking to this pad.. I play on 360 and the 360's control pad sucks for fighting games. I've already had Mad Catz pads break on me.. so I really don't have faith in them. This one is built durable and feels like it will last for quite some time.

I first picked up DW at DW5 (2005) and have since managed to plow through all the DW, DW:E, DW:O, SW, and even DW:G, and it has largely felt like a downhill ride with improving graphics and deteriorating gameplay.

Fortunately I think KOEI got that message loudly from fans after DW7, and Dynasty Warriors 8 is a serious attempt to change that perception (are you watching, Namco?). And it's a really good attempt. For the first time since DW5, the game feels solid, sometimes even challenging certainly a change from the cakewalk gods-among-us gameplay of the last couple iterations. This is done through better attention to character strengths, personal moves, a much better-told story mode, and improved costumes. It is not done at the expense of graphics, which are more lush than they've ever been. While this makes DW8 the prettiest DW game, it means there's still some serious lag at times on the Xbox 360.

One of the first things you'll notice is the maps are much larger than they've been. An average map now is the size of the largest from DW6. While many of the maps will look familiar, others have been completely reworked. The Stone Sentinels is now a much cooler maze, and Hefei Castle is now castle-sized, not a small sandcastle on a hill. For the veteran DW player this is a welcome change, but for the initiate to the series, the constant mission-running from one side of the map to the other may get tiresome (although to KOEI's credit, this is done far less than in DW6).

The combat engine is a little refined, though it remains largely in-tact from DW7. The best improvements are things like being able to jump on your horse while moving, hitting vessels from your horse almost always grabs what's inside, Switch Counter which allows you to precisely counterstrike, and the three different mousou attacks. These are very smooth and easily executed with a little skill, making the game just a little bit less about slamming X.

The upgrade from DW7's career mode is the new Ambition Mode, in which you fight a series of skirmishes to gain gold, glory, and fame. While it should be a cool mode, in reality it's a storyless (and often joyless) rote button-mashing exercise with no tactics or thinking required, making it one of the weaker parts of a strong game. UNTIL...

Online! Yay for finally getting DW online! In theory. Seriously, online was the part I was most excited for in the new game; the idea that you could play a battle with other players playing the other officers is long overdue. But I have rarely found anyone online, and never in the story mode. Which is sad. I hope DW8:E will pick up more online players for what should be the selling highlight of the game.

Though DW8 does not have the DW4-era tactics that some veteran players had hoped, there is plenty of significant improvement to warrant purchase. For the buyer new to the series: this isn't CoD, this is a good old-fashioned button-mashing arcade game and you'll need to get that to enjoy it. See you online!

This is a great addition to series, and for Dynasty Warriors fans, it's a must have. Since the graphics weren't radically different from 7 the one downside is I wish they would let some of the Music, Costumes, and Weapon Skins DLC from DW7 carry over.

Best Deals for Dynasty Warriors 8 - Xbox 360

I've played dynasty warriors for about a decade now going all the way back to the original, DW 3, DW 5 and now 8. I grew up playing the game, learning the core concepts, maps, etc and absolutely loved the older games. Now with Dynasty Warriors 8 I can relive a bit of my childhood and enjoy the game play.

The graphics are improved from 5 which is what I last played so I enjoy them more. The new characters and story line make it worth while. You can easily spend the greater part of 8-12 hours depending on how you play on 1 kingdom, and you only play a limited amount of the characters you could have. Load times are decent when disc only, installing to your hard drive speeds it up tremendously.

One thing I enjoy is the different characters you can play as the game progresses on. It's more accurate to the lore as characters die along the campaign and you have to move on to playing someone else.

One grievance I have is the map repetition. There are a few levels that are reused but you have different start/end points and have different functions during them. I would have preferred unique maps each time but I understand it's time consuming to produce a new map for every battle when you can change different areas around to meet your needs. Another is in game the scenery and graphics can bog down and become slow motion like where everything is super slow from everything happening around you. It does happen but it's on a few specific maps. Some maps are fine and you never have a problem. Others it happens every time. I think it may be attributed to too many particle effects, but I'm not sure.

Another feature I enjoy are the pre-battle areas where you can get hints at different things from characters to what happens in battle from the soldiers and other officers.

There are other aspects I enjoyed but I will cut it off here and let you enjoy it yourself. Overall I would give the game a 8.5/10. Mostly taking off points for map repetition and graphics optimization (slowing down during game play), otherwise this is a brilliant game that I think everyone would enjoy in hack and slash type gaming.

Very good game play, some bugs but I'm prety sure that it could be fixed with a patch. I've been a fin since Dynasty Warriors 2, even if you haven't played in a while you can still jump in and pick up where you left off.

This is such a great game from SCS Software. They really did a nice job on this. One thing that I want to mention before I get into detail with my review is that this is an arcade-style game. The first 18 WOS Extreme Trucker, this one, and Bus Driver are all alike in a few ways. These are not serious simulator games. So buyers, beware of that. Serious simulator games include German Truck Simulator and UK Truck Simulator, Euro Truck Simulator, and all the 18 Wheels of Steel series games before Extreme Trucker. So, the difference between the two is the length of time you can play them before you get bored with them. With arcade games, it is often only a few weeks. With the latest simulator, or even some older ones, the time is often a month or more. Also, the arcade-style games are not simulators. But none of what I said above means that arcade games are not good. They are. It is nice to have something different, and to get away from the simulator. There are not as many traffic laws in the arcade games, if any, which in Extreme Trucker and Extreme Trucker 2, there are none. So yes, they are good for people who don't like to follow traffic laws. But there are consequences, good or bad, for whatever you do, especially in Bus Driver.

Now, for details about this game. It is much improved over two years. The new physics system from SCS Software is so much more realistic than the first one. The first game had some wierd physics at times. When you drove over ice too fast, the front end of your truck lift high up in the air, for what reason I don't know. Also, the two new environments, Montana and Bangladesh, are excellent and realistic, and the others are too. The maps of the older three places were extended, and some graphics were improved. The truck acceleration system is better too, and the truck headlight system. The trucks do not just take off going fast, they have realistic speed. Also, several new trucks were added, and they are nice. The steering is not so rigid anymore, tight turns can be made with ease, but not too much ease. It is such a great game, a lot of fun, with very detailed graphics, just like German Truck Simulator. And it runs just as well as the older game, even though it has a better physics system.

If I had a choice between Extreme Trucker and Extreme Trucker 2, I would pick Extreme Trucker 2 without a single doubt. Buy this game, it is so much better than the first Extreme Trucker. All of SCS Software's recent games are excellent, and this is no exception. They know how to make quality games.

Happy trucking!!

As said in previous review.. this is a Arcade based game. so if you are looking for long term fun then you need to find it somewhere else.

Graphics are amazing, trucks drive very well! Vast selection of different rigs and trailers.

This whole game can probably be beaten in a day. There is no commerce. No trucks to be "owned".

I was very skeptical before buying this wire. However, my kinect with my projector is working excellently without any lag. This is the only 15 feet wire available in the market. No more problem for using my kinect with my projector. This has the Kinect customized USB port and NOT the standard flat USB connector. If you have bought Kinect bundle (Xbox and Kinect) then this is what you will need.

I've always wanted to buy a kinect for my xbox360, but the length of the cable it came with seemed to short for my entertainment setup. So One night while searching for a solution to my problem i found this on Amazon.I was a bit hesitant on purchasing this cord because it wasn't made by Microsoft.I went on Gamestop website and looked at another kinect extension cord at about the same cord was coming out on the 18th, when i went into the local store, i asked for a kinect cable and the employee working there walked over with a 2ft extension cable with the price tag of $50.00..I was surprised. So i asked the employee if he had anything that was at least 10-15 ft long, he gave me a very confused face and sputtered out..."why do you need a 15 ft cable for the kinect?" At first i felt it was really none of his business to ask me what the purpose of the cable is. Anyways i told him that i was running it through a Hi-Def projector. I left and ordered this from amazon immediately. This cable works great, there is no lag, everything is nice and fluid. And the LED on the extension lights up when power is going to the kinect which is perfect, i just disconnect the cord half way so i don't have to pull it out of the kinect or my 360, i can leave it in thus..not causing any damage to the ports.

If you have a Kinect and a very interesting entertainment setup..such as a projector..defiantly pull the trigger on this cable..or buy a really long HDMI cable.

All in all great purchase.

Thanks Amazon!

I purchased this to connect the Kinect to the Xbox 360 "slim" I purchased for my kids in December 2011. It didn't work Jill posted a similar review below. The Xbox does not recognize the Kinect and will not update it correctly using this cord. To be clear This is not the correct cord if you need an extension for the newest Xbox and the Nyko customer support never returned my email requesting help.

The correct cord for the black Xbox 360 is the HDE Extension Cable for Xbox 360 Kinect (search Amazon) available March 3 2012 for about $4 and eligible for prime shipping. The $4 HDE cord worked great with NO trouble.

Honest reviews on Nyko Extend Link for Kinect - Xbox 360

I was skeptical after reading other reviews about the voice recognition not working. That is a feature I like and use a lot. I had to purchase this cable because any other cable would have been too short for my setup.

After getting everything moved and plugged in I went through the Kinect Tuner menu to get the Kinect setup. The voice recognition and visual recognition both work perfectly. The Kinect is performing the same as when it was plugged directly into the XBox. I have the Kinect XBox Bundle.

This cable is used to allow Kinect play from our projector. There is no lag while playing and the kids love the games on a 200" screen. Absolutely incredible. The cord is flat and is easily hidden along the wall. Great price and well made.

I bought this game for my kids and they received it as an early Christmas gift. If you have younger kids, you can bump my score up a star because they won't be concerned about gameplay factors as an adult gamer would. It plays decent enough but my biggest gripe with the game is that the power sliding isn't very good at all(a very important gameplay mechanic for a kart racer) . This alone makes Sonic All-Star Racing the overall best kart racing game on the 360. Visually, it's not quite as good as Sonic All-Star Racing either but it does perform better overall(more consistent framerate, especially in split screen)

This is a mascot based kart racer(much like 99% of kart racing games)and I honestly don't think Dreamworks "All Star" cast is as strong or memorable as other franchises. It's also a negative that not all the worthwhile stars are in this game.

When it comes down to it, I didn't buy this game for myself, I bought it for my kids. They enjoyed it quite a bit. I'm sure most people will buy this for their kids so that's what matters most is if they enjoy the game. For the game itself, it gets three out of five stars as a whole. I play a lot of games and have for years, so I'm not some parent that is naive and buys games just cause it has recognizable characters on it. Since I'm not the intended market for this game, you can raise my review a star if you're buying for kids 10 or under. It's a good game for the intended audience and for the discounted price(I even got a better deal when I bought it)so it's worth getting. If you have to choose between this and Sonic All-Star Racing, Sonic is a much better game overall, has more content and is almost 50% cheaper.

Bought this game for my young daughter expecting pretty much nothing good of the game, but I was pleasantly surprised! The gameplay is very easy, which is good for kids, but can be repetitive at times. If you are a fan of Mario Kart and those types of games, give this one a try! It's not bad at all.

It's like Mario kart for Xbox. Kids love it. Great value, accurate order and completely happy from start to finish.

Honest reviews on Dreamworks Super Star Kartz - Xbox 360

My search for something on XBox anywhere near as good as Mario Kart continues after this. The character's say the same very few cute lines OVER and OVER and OVER which becomes super annoying, but even after turning that off, it was still only meh. Not as easy to control or fun as Mario Kart.

Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Dreamworks Super Star Kartz - Xbox 360

This game is a thrown together cash machine for Dreamworks. There is no difficulty setting, so be prepared to deal with smaller kids being bummed about always losing. Each character says the same 3 or 4 phrases constantly throughout every race, and it gets extremely annoying. Power sliding is garbage, and unfortunately totally needed to win. I think that Mario Kart from 15 years ago is a better game, and more fun for everybody.

Cheap Wii/GC/PS2/PS3/360 Universal Karaoke Microphone Twin Pack Set

Wii/GC/PS2/PS3/360 Universal Karaoke Microphone Twin Pack Set
Customer Ratings: 3 stars
Buy Now
A very affordable way to add a second mic to your PS3 for playing Singstar and Karaoke Revolution games, at a fraction of the price of those brands' microphones. The one caveat is that although this item is sold as a twin microphone pack, that is misleading for anyone who thinks that they can buy a standalone Singstar/Karaoke Revolution game and then buy this microphone set and instantly be able to sing duets, because the PS3 treats these as a SINGLE microphone. Your duets will consist of you and another person singing through the same "channel." You will not be able to sing in Battles or TRUE duets like you would if you were to purchase two original microphones. In my case, I already had one microphone for Singstar and one for Karaoke Revolution--all I needed was a second one. So, to remedy the problem, I leave one of the twin-pack microphones unplugged, and it operates fine as the secondary microphone for your opponent or singing companion.

In addition, these microphones work with no problem with BOTH Singstar and Karaoke Revolution, at least on the PS3.

In all, a very reasonable purchase for the investment--so long as you buy this item INFORMED as to what it will do (and what it won't) when you actually use it. The misleading wording on the packaging is probably intended to bolster sales, but it's still misleading and carefully worded to cover any claims of outright false advertising. So, take this into consideration when buying the item.

And if you're curious as to whether this is a negative or a positive Opinion, it is a Positive one... but only because I knew ahead of time what to expect, and I already had a primary microphone for the Singstar and Karaoke Revolution games. I am simply pointing out the "catch" to save someone else from being disappointed if they are seeing this item listing and thinking it will provide them with both a primary and a secondary microphone pair: it won't.

As a Vita owner, it's been sometimes painful to stick up for the system. Honestly, considering how dire the system seems at certain points, there are times where I hardly ever touch my Vita, perhaps even for months at a time. Thankfully, the release of Tearaway is making sure my Vita will be used in the coming weeks. We are miles away from a library of classics for the Vita, but Tearaway is certainly a bright spot in the Vita library so far. Media Molecule once again has struck something special, and this time it's for Vita owners. If you had any passing interest in this game beforehand, Tearaway is absolutely worth playing.

So what is Tearaway? Built from the ground up, Tearaway takes advantage of the Vita's many unique capabilities (Rear Touch Pad, Camera, Touchscreen, Microphone, Gyroscope), warping them seamlessly into a truly unique platformer. Throughout the game's single player mode, you'll use everything at your disposal to navigate through various worlds, alternatively platforming through a brilliantly realized world. You play as one of two playable characters, off to deliver a message to the player outside of the game, YOU. Yes, you are one of the stars of the game. As you (literately) stare down on your messenger, you'll be defeating monsters, helping merge your world with Tearaway's own, creation and your imagination will constantly be on fire. Rest assured, everything about this game makes it easily one of the best games for the Vita yet.

This being a Media Molecule game, I'm pretty sure there is some about how the game succeeds on a visual and audio level, and it's amazingly successful. True to its theme, Tearaway's paper theme comes into full fruition, as the game uses its theme to construct a brilliantly imaginative world that resembles a children's book come to life. From the environments, the to the beings that you come across; it's all heartfelt, and its all Really, you really need to look no further than what has been shown in the media; it's like what happens if the world's most creative elementary school art class was given the tools to create a world that spoke to them. it's a delight to behold, and it would take a hardened soul not to be charmed by it (even my mother loved it, and she hates most video games).

Also being of excellent note is the entire universe Media Molecule has crafted with Tearaway. There isn't much of a story like Littlebigplanet, but much like the aforementioned game there is a certain charm to the characters, locations, and overall mood and aesthetic of Tearaway. With so many games trying to be "gritty", "realistic", "mature", or otherwise "darker and edgy", it's nice to see something as charming as this come along. By the first ten minutes of the game, I was already in love with it. Of course, rounding out the package is the great soundtrack, which helps bring the universe to life. Sound effects follows suit, and the sound design is very effective and fits the game like a glove.

Of course, the gameplay here is as much of a draw to the game as much as the imaginative aspects dreamed up by Media Molecule, and once again it's refreshing, imaginative, and quite ingenious. True to its theme, Tearaway is a platformer that bases its mechanics around Paper itself, with another main gameplay motif being the way your universe is in touch with the universe of Tearaway. With the use of regular controls and a myriad of special Vita features, you'll be guiding your character throughout the world, defeating monsters, helping friendly figures, and much more; all with some interesting and well implemented controls that take advantage of everything the Vita could offer control wise, even spilling over to the creative aspect of the game as well. it doesn't run out of surprises or it never fails to keep you wondering what next will be revealed, and it never feel like a chore because everything around you is extremely engaging.

Truth to be told, the game is pretty easy from start to finish, as it really isn't a game that provides a traditional gaming challenge. Instead, I would say Tearaway's spirit lies in games like Journey, The Unfinished Swan, and others in the same vein; the experience of the game and the player interaction is what truly makes it special. Tearaway's main draw is not much challenge and gameplay depth, but how it uses the Vita to essentially link the two universes together to make the already interesting single player even better. Whenever one is engaging throughout the game with enemies, friends, kings, the environment, and anything else in between, the true appeal comes from extrapolating the experience yourself and essentially making everything feel as real as possible. Few games I think of that have made me feel quite a bond between the game, and Tearaway is one of them.

Tearaway truly does let you express yourself creatively, which alongside the sheer joy of playing the game is its true strength. Depending on how artistic you are, you can collect confetti to unlock millions of unique little accessories, camera filters, and other such things to further provide a creative and unique way of manipulating the world so that you desire. Even better, you can even bring your own works from the game into your own; print out models to construct your own craft-able items. If you're so inclined and creative enough, you can probably even construct your own Tearaway world. Rounding it out, the online component let's you share your own creations, as well as view what the community has chose to share as well.face

All in all though, there is just too many little things that I noticed that made the game for me, not to mention that this is definitely one of those games where you need to I really do think this is one of the most refreshing and joyous games I've played since Journey. Ultimately, I think that this game is so unique that you simply just need to try it yourself. Rest assured, the experience is absolutely worth taking, and its refreshing from beginning to end.

As a Vita owner, I can safely say that this game has made me all the more interested in my Vita. For me personally, Tearaway easily is the best handheld game I've played all this year, and overall a big bolster for the Vita's overall library regardless of personal preference. The Vita still needs a ton of work until it can be called a viable platform (sadly), but Tearaway assuredly is sending the Vita's library in the right direction; more developers need to follow suit and see what a talented developer can do with a system like the Vita. Rest assured, if you were interested in this game and you own a Vita (both of those), pick it up. You won't regret purchasing it.

I always wanted to like LittleBig Planet, and as the product listing specifies, Tearaway is from the makers of that series. Something kept me from getting into LBP, despite my multiple attempts, though I can say that I am not experiencing the same pushback from Tearaway.

Like LittleBig Planet, Tearaway is a game that lives outside the box, requiring players of all ages to engage in many ways, not merely by hacking, slashing, and button-pushing. A significant part of the game play requires use of the rear and front touch panels, as well as pausing the game action for the player to make items from virtual construction paper to decorate various characters and other things along the journey. Many decorations are included, but if something isn't, just make it. These decorations work much like LBP's stamps, and can also be used to redecorate one's own character.

Other fun parts of the game include taking photos of plants, animals, and mummers (the people of the world in which the game takes place), and optionally uploading them to share on the Tearaway site, Facebook, and Twitter. Some specific photos even unlock paper craft projects that can be downloaded to print and construct. It may not be edutainment exactly, but it's one way for parents and their kids to spend more time together.

Game play isn't especially difficult, and the game is very forgiving when it comes to players who aren't the most adept at defeating the baddies. If you realize that you've missed something important, it is easy to go back and replay a chapter to get it, if your goal is 100% completion rather than simply finishing the game. However you choose to play, you will find this an unusual, unique, and highly entertaining game that is fun and appropriate for the entire family, from the hardcore gamers to the grandparents to the young kids.

Best Deals for Tearaway

Without a doubt, this is the best game available for the Playstation Vita. Why you might ask? It's quite simple, the folks over at Media Molecule (those responsible for Little Big Planet on the PS3) have created such a creative and color world intermixed with some great platforming gameplay and unique use of some of Vita's hardware features.

Let me assure you that in no way do the use of the rear touch pads or cameras feel like a "gimmick" in this game. In fact, it's quite the opposite, as each of the unique features (touch pads, cameras, tilt, etc) help transform the world/levels as you explore. Can't reach certain areas, well bounce your fingers on the rear touchpad to catapult your character into the air. See something cool? Take out your camera (and the awesome array of filters and lenses) and take a snapshot, or if feeling bored, take a selfie!

Want to customize your character to look however you want? No problem, you can do that too! In fact, I created my very own "Ryo Hazuki" costume for my messenger to wear. It's awesome. What other game allows you to do that? I can't think of any.

The level of customization, and the overall theme of just being creative and creating whatever you want is such a pleasure to play and experience. I didn't want this game to end, and thankfully (I've completed the story once so far) I can go back and relive each level collecting more items and snapping more pictures to expand the world even more. I waited over a year for this game upon first hearing about it, and I'm happy to say it was well worth the wait. So much in fact, this game might actually challenge Bioshock or Puppeteer for my personal GOTY.

If you have a Vita, this is a MUST own. No ifs, ands, or butts.

Honest reviews on Tearaway

Platformer's are finally back!!! And in the best way possible! This game is really innovative and use all the possible functions on the PS Vita, making it probably the best PS Vita title, and the definitive console seller watch the trailers so you will understand! And move on pick this gem up!
