World of Tanks With $30.00 In Pack Value-Items Included! 1-Week Premium Account, Gold Currency and Tank
Customer Ratings: 4 stars

Despite that description states one month of premium included, in reality this package only has 1 week of premium account.

Here are the contents of this package (as listed on the official WoT website):

Retail Box Contents

1 T2 Light Tank (750 gold value + 300 gold for the extra tank slot)

1 week Premium account (1,250 gold)

1,050,000 Credits (2,625 gold)

1,800 Gold

While nominally it is over $30 worth of gold purchases, in reality the deal is not so great because there are better rates for buying premium on a monthly basis, buying gold in larger chunks and credits are relatively easily earned by actually playing the game.

While this package gives a decent head start to a brand new WoT player, in terms of value it's barely worth it at $20 and would be much better deal when the price drops closer to $10-$15 in my opinion.

Having crewed US Army armored fighting vehicles including the Bradley and an M113 simulating a BMP-2, I have to say that this game nails the feel of armored warfare. Finding a good hull down position matters, real world tactics help, and power to weight ratio feels right as you try to struggle up a hill or accelerate away from a threat. The controls are easy to master, WASD for manuevering your tank, and the mouse controls turret traverse and elevation.

The game has tanks from the mid 1930 through the 1950s, you can drive tanks from the US, Germany or USSR. Light tanks, Medium and Heavies. Each country and class has a different feel. You start at Tier one and can progress through ever increasinly powerful tanks through Tier 10. Each battle earns you credits and experience. Each tank has modules(new cannon, new turret, etc) which you must unlock with experince, learn most of the modules on your tank and you can choose to spend experince learning the next tiers tank. The tank tech tree of each nation starts at a tier one scout tank and you can choose to branch out along the light, medium or heavy lines. You can choose to learn every tank in the game if you have time.

You will need credits to purchase the modules and tanks that you unlock with experince. At the lower tiers you may only need a few games per tank to progress to the next. At tier 8 it took me 150 matches to progress through and to the tier 9 tank. Each random battle can last up to 15 mins. then again I have successfully gotten myself killed a few times in under one minute. The battle rages on without you if you die, but you can exit the battle and grab another tank and que up for another battle.

Graphics are good, the learning curve is not steep, my wife(with only world of warcraft gaming experince) had it figured out in 10 games and mastered the game after about 150 battles. Discouragingly to my ego, after about her 200th game and to this day she has a higher win percentage than me!

The cons:

The match making system does not always put you into a battle where you can contribute a whole lot. As mentioned, there are 10 tiers. You could be thrown into a battle on your brand new US M4 Sherman(tier 5) againts a fully decked out German Tiger II(tier 8) with a 105mm cannon and a turret that will bounce all your shells. In this case LOAD HE, I say again LOAD HE, hunt the other teams lower tier tanks, spot for the big boys, play scout or just die quickly and jump in the next battle.

the devs have designed the game to encourage you to spend real world money. Real life money can be used to buy in game items that help you advance to higher tiers more quickly and less painfully. After experincing the pain of a few games at lower tiers on the receiving end of big tank boom boom you will likely be tempted to spend around $30 dollars to purchase a tier 8 premium tank. that premium tank can earn you experince that you can then spend reasearching non premium tanks and modules.

The biggest con/disagreement with the devs. Real world money can be spent on premium shells that can penetrate opposing tank armor more consistantly. i do not think pay to win is a fair mechanic. that said, if you know where to aim (tanks have weak spots/even shooting the front), you can defeat an identical tank even if he is using premium shells and you are not. You are just more at mercy to the random number generator. All shells do X amount of dmg +/a bit and penatrate Y amount +/-. Premiums have a higher base number.

If you have the `$30, do it, buy a Lowe, KV-5 or Type 59 tank.

Like the title says, this is a retail copy of an online-only game which is free to play. You do not need to purchase the retail copy, but I do recommend it, especially to newer player. The retail copy includes a code that gives in-game material/benefits once it has been applied to an account, this is where the value comes from.

The code in the retail copy provides:

One extra garage slot (300 gold))

T2 Light Tank (750 gold value)

One week of premium for the player's account (1,250 gold)

1,050,000 Credits (2,625 gold)

1,800 Gold

IMPORTANT NOTES about this retail version are:

If you already have the T2 light tank in your garage then you will receive the extra garage slot and you are refunded the value of the tank in gold (you should receive 2550 gold instead of 1800).

The week of premium begins the moment input the code that is provided (so be ready to play to take full advantage of the premium account).

BENEFITS of the material included in this package:

The garage slot allows you to store an additional tank (by default I believe you currently start with 5 slots).

The included tank is a "premium" tank that can only be purchased with gold. Premium tanks are not the best tanks on the battlefield but they make better "credits" (freely earned in-game currency).

The premium account increases your in-game income for both "credits" and "XP" by 50% over a standard account ("credits" are used to purchase goods in game while "XP" is used to unlock additional content).

Credits/Gold this is in game currency, credits can be earned freely by playing matches while gold can only be obtained with real world money (with some exceptions such as contests and whatnot).

If you are new to the game this is a good way to get started but instead of using the DVD included with the retail version to run the install go ahead and download it from the game website. The retail install is several versions behind the current version of the game and I have heard of people who encounter issues when they installed the retail version and updated, instead of a clean download and install.

I could spend much time discussing the fun and frustrations of the game itself here. However, as the game is free to play, rather than wasting time discussing the game here I would simply recommend downloading the game and getting started to experience it for yourself.

Others have questioned the value of this retail package. This provides benefits equal to a $30 purchase of gold in the game store for $20 (or less). The best value of purchasing gold from the in game store is 250 gold/dollar. At $20 this provides (essentially) a 336 gold/dollar value, the only downside is that the in game "gold" is already allocated in certain ways so you cannot decide how to spend it yourself (for you economists I believe this is called an opportunity cost).

All in all, this retail version provides a good product at a good value for the experienced tankers and the newbies alike. If you've got a loved one who is already playing the game or has an interest in armored warfare/World War II, this is a great gift. Also works well if you have a significant other than you want to spend less time with... kidding... kind of.

Honest reviews on World of Tanks With $30.00 In Pack Value-Items Included! 1-Week

I purchased this game pack for the premium code to receive the gold, tank and slot. The game disk was irrelavant as anyone can download World of Tanks online and play for free. The premium code which I purchased had already been used, therefore I paid cash for nothing. I have not heard back yet from either Amazon, nor the seller. In short, this was a rip-off. Beware.

Right now, I've got to give this purchase (a gift to me from my wife) one star out of five. Like a few other folks who have commented, my game's promo code had already been used. I've submitted a ticket through Wargaming asking whether they can resolve the issue, or whether I need to take it up with Amazon. I've got my fingers crossed that one party or the other will address this, but who knows as of this moment. Even if one or the other company helps me out, what a hassle. If you buy a new game through a reputable seller like Amazon, you should have every expectation that you won't run into something like this. :O\

I bought this faceplate for a friend who loves the Atlanta Falcons. It's very cool and is tough enough to withstand wear and tear and even a couple of angry drops by my roommate. It gets the job done and I would absolutely buy another one.

Got it for cheap on a lightning deal. Loved rock band 3 so i had to get it. Plus I had a 20 dollars off discount from the GOW3 Preorder. The bonus tracks are great too. (otherside, by the way, under the bridge, californication, and the adventures of rain dance maggie. Guitar is better than I expected. The only I problem i had with is I cant feel where I am on the fretboard since all the "strings" feel the same.

I never would have bought this game for myself. I can't decide if it was out of selfish or generous intent, but my 8 year old son bought this game for me for my birthday. I am so lucky. He and I are huge fans of x-games and good video games on any platform, but I had no interest in this title (prior to owning it).

I've been playing video games for over 20 years and even compensating for the state of technology at any given time, this may be, in my opinion, the all-time best game ever.

It is so much fun, so real-feeling...I always thought the "lines" (path a person chooses through the course) were a commentator's concept, but with this game you see them, feel them.

It is incredible. Makes me feel like I can actually do the tricks in real life. I hopped on my son's skateboard in the living room and nearly killed myself as a result.

Graphics, gameplay, sound, music, cohesiveness, variety and options, controls, concept, execution, this game has it all.

Hopefully some day I will be bored with this game and can go back and finish Warcraft 3 and Max Payne which I had recently bought and was playing on the PC before this.

THIS GAME IS TIGHT. okay to the bmx ppl out there this one is most probably the best bmx game out there. Not that mat hoffman himself is any better than miracle boy Dave Mirra but Mat's game is! This game has everything all the other bmx games has but this has one other thing that puts it above all the others, flow... u can see it in the rotations. My favorate tricks were 360s 540s 720s 900s cuz of this i even pulled a 1080. this flow made the game fun and realistic. I can play it for hours

It sure seems like it's been a long time coming, but now that Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX 2 has finally touched down, was it worth the wait? You bet. Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX 2 is to the original game what Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 was to its predecessor-a whole heck of a lot more gameplay shows up the second time around. Once again, you'll bust out flips, manuals, stalls, grinds, and dozens of other BMX tricks on a road trip around eight U.S. cities. Each level is packed with tons of secret areas, icons, and other goodies; there's also a park editor and eight multiplayer games to extend your ride even further. The character animation is extremely fluid, and there are some nice Las Vegas lighting effects-this is a very pretty game overall. The crisp sound effects are sparse (a few voices here and there, plus the ubiquitous spinning spokes), but the eclectic soundtrack more than makes up for it-Iggy Pop, L.L. Cool J, NERD, and Suicidal Tendencies all in the same place! Whip-smart controls make execution of the dozens of tricks easy, especially if you're a series vet; you can also modify grind and stall tricks now. With any of Activision's O2 games, you kind of know what you're going to get, and that's comfortable. Same here-Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX 2 offers no major surprises but plenty of refinements to a proven formula. It's a major improvement over the first game.

Right to the point: There is nothing not to like about this collection. I've played it for the last few days and have loved every moment.

This disc brings together a huge collection of almost all of Sega's best games from the Genesis era. All the expected titles are here -the Sonic the Hedgehog games, the Golden Axe series, Space Harrier, Shinobi and much more -plus some awesome stuff you might not expect. (Presumably we'll see games like Afterburner and the lock-on version of Sonic 3 + S&Knuckles in a second installment.)

Two of the biggest reasons to be wowed by this set are:

Phantasy Star series -With the four games included here (1-4), you get some of the best RPGs of the era and dozens upon dozens of hours of gameplay. The ahead-of-its-time Phantasy Star, the stunning Phantasy Star II (which influenced the direction of Final Fantasy in a big way), the amazing epic Phantasy Star IV. Just these four games alone are worth the $30. Heck, DOUBLE that. No fan of JRPG's should go without playing these.

Shining series -Two predecessors of the popular Final Fantasy Tactics series (Shining paved the way for this sort of game) as well as a first-person dungeon crawler, these are fan favorites for a reason. They're great. Ahead of their time and they hold up great.

And SO many more. Shinobi. The difficult roguelike Fatal Labyrinth. Fun platformer Alex Kidd. Tetris clone Columns. Even coin-op classic Zaxxon! A HUGE collection!

All games allow you to save at any time, in any game, anywhere. This is a GREAT feature. Plus it saves high scores, has full 16:9 support for widescreen TVs, and you can toggle on graphics smoothing to make the games look even better than they did upon release. It's a dynamite feature. (The "museum" and interview extras are a nice bonus, too.)

All in all this is one of the best retro gaming bargains of the year. Got my copy a few days ago and already have loads of hours under my belt. The inclusion of not one but TWO fan favorite RPG series gives this disc an enormous amount of play value.

If you have any interest at all in retro gaming, ESPECIALLY if you were a fan of the Genesis era or if you missed out on the Genesis because you had a SNES, you owe it to yourself to grab this collection.

Late last year, Sonic Team over at Sega released "Sonic Unleashed" which did have its problems, mind you, but didn't really do anything stellar the entire way through. Reviewers pointed out that Sonic's previous games were miles ahead better and I find nostalgia can help make a game's success. After all, that one game that critics hated at the time might've been one of your favorites but looking at it now you go "wow did that game have issues". Therein lies the major issue/fun with the Ultimate Genesis Collection: does the bulk of these games stand the test of time? Some definately do while others will probably get barely a few minutes before you decide it's awful but there's a lot of work to be done here if you get this.

One of the most important and influential game series that kickstarted the Sega Genesis was Sonic the Hedgehog, Sega's answer to Nintendo's Mario and included is a truckload of Sonic games: 1, 2, 3, Sonic and Knuckles, 3D Blast, Pinball and to a degree, Dr. Beatnik's Mean Bean Machine, a puzzle game akin to Dr. Wario, Yoshi's Cookie and Super Puzzle Fighter II. The first 4 are great and well worth the purchase while 3D Blast controls awkwardly, Pinball is decent but not stellar and Mean Bean Machine is good though later stages work a bit too damn fast for my tastes.

Another group featured is the side scroller platformer which run the gamut from Ristar to Kid Chameleon (woo!) to Decap Attack to E-Swat (big eh) to 2 Vectorman games. Beat-em-ups like Streets of Rage and Golden Axe are included and for RPG fans: all 4 Phantasy Stars. It's safe to say that nearly every kind of game is available on here from long drawn-out games to quicker arcade-y stuff but be warned: some of these games are...kind of hard. Not in that underpowered "everyone's better than you" way like a Ninja Gaiden but rather many times in the games you won't even get continues so if you die, boom, Game Over and you're sent back to the title screen which is really disheartening and I'm surprised I don't remember getting more furious when I was younger.

Now of course any collection from greatest hits to game collections is bound to have some stuff missing or curious additions. Fatal Labyrinth well...sucks, the Ecco games are familiar but playing through them, they're surprisingly boring and Super Thunder Blade is too easy to die in. But then, most likely because of dual releases on the Super Nintendo we're missing some other favorites: Battletoads, Toe Jam and Earl, the awesome WWF games, Maximum Carnage, any of the Road Rashes and to be honest, I quite liked the Aero the Acro-Bat games. Most of these games you probably wouldn't give the time of day too while other ones like Ristar and Comix Zone actually surprised me.

Naturally like all Xbox 360 games, there's achievements and these aren't just simply beat game, beat game kind but rather objective based so for example one of Golden Axe's achievements is to use magic a certain amount of times. Easy right? Every time you get a magic ability, use it and eventually, there we go. And thanks to the ability to save games anywhere you want but pressing the Back button, some achievements like the ones for Mean Bean Machine, Columns or Sonic Pinball can be done just by saving states after a certain time and loading save if you die. There's a couple like "Yatta!" that can potentially drive you crazy since it's more luck than anything while others are just simply "Turn to easy, max lives, play".

Another disappointing factor is that the games don't have online play, whether co-op for Golden Axe or Streets of Rage or leaderboards. Imagine competing against somebody to see who can get the highest score in Columns or taking on enemies with other buddies but sadly none of it are implemented and it's strictly offline co-op. But there's quite a few unlockables from videos of the games' developers to additional games (while unlocking Shinobi is cool, Congo Bongo flat out sucks) but it's the games that are important and for completionists, having so much games to beat will surely keep you busy.

The Ultimate Genesis Collection is tough to judge as a game because for every Sonic the Hedgehog or surprising gem like Ristar there's godawfulness from Fatal Labyrinth to Flicky to Bonanza Bros. However getting all Sonics, Phantasy Stars, Streets of Rage, and Golden Axes on one disc is reason enough to get it.

Best Deals for Sonic Ultimate Genesis Collection

First let's talk about the value of this game. Essentially, it's 49 Sega games (including the unlockable titles) for about 20 dollars! If I was buying these games separately, it would be well over 100s of dollars because these titles tend to go for 5-6 dollars each. And some are not available on the wii, ps3, or xbox live outside of this disc. Good luck finding a genesis and cartridges too. I most likely would have never played most of these titles if it wasn't for this compilation. Example: Alex Kidd, Bonanza Bros. and Dynamite Headdy. I never even heard of these games but I love them so much after I played them.

This game is great for its nostalgia factor too. I feel like a gaming archeologist playing Flicky and the arcade version of Altered Beast. It's like exploring your grandparents attic for the first time. There's so many interesting things inside this disc. Playing Alien Storm for the first time was crazy cause I didn't expect to play a robot that self-destructed. There were moments in Streets of Rage 3 where I couldn't stop laughing at the sheer silliness of the game.

I also love the multiplayer games like Golden Axe, Streets of Rage, etc. There were times when my husband and i were just "accidentally" beating each other up in Streets of Rage and it was so hilariously fun. I loved every minute of it.

Here's my only problem with the game. The manual isn't really complete. You need to go to to download a complete game manual. I understand this because it is 49 games, and I think if they had to re-print all the manuals to each game, it probably cost a heck of a lot more than 20 dollars. The HD graphic improvements are hit or miss for some games, but it's OK cause you can turn that option off. It's kinda sad that you can't lock Sonic and Knuckles with Sonic 3, but I'm fine with that cause this has 49 games!

Finally, Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine just makes me angry.

Honest reviews on Sonic Ultimate Genesis Collection

I was ecstatic to hear the collection of titles for this collection. Since I sold my genesis a few weeks ago to buy this I figured it would be a great trade off and I could now play all my favorites on the XBOX360 without having to fuss with having another console hooked up.

I want to point out a few of the things for people on the fence about this collection. First if you enjoyed these games growing up you will love this collection. They play great, look great, and each game has a museum where there is tidbits of information about the game and box art.

Now to the negatives:

1. Sonic and Knuckles in the collection can not be used in "Lock on" mode. So you can not play Sonic 2 or Sonic 3 with Knuckles. This is disappointing considering the fact that Sonic Jam on the Sega Saturn has this feature.

2. No online leaderboards. I was surprised by this announcement. Other gaming collections feature online leaderboards and it would have gave all the games a greater sense of replay value. I am one of those people who loved and conquered Sonic 3 so many times I would have played it over and over just to make a leaderboard.

3. Achievements are fairly easy. ( Where the heck is the achievement for beating Streets of Rage 3 on hard? I can not tell you how many nights I stayed up when I was younger trying to beat it on hard with a friend. This leads me to my next point.

4. No online multiplayer. I will not go into this. Obviously this feature would have been awesome.

Some positive feature include being able to save your game and being able to organize the games by list so that your favorite game will always appear at the top of the list when you start up the collection.

Regarding the video quality. I have a 42 inch 1080p Westinghouse LCD TV and all the games look really bright and colorful when stretched to full screen. By default all games start in a windowed mode and you have to press the "Start" button and select "Video Options". From there you can stretch the game to full screen and enable a "Smoothing" option that makes the colors a little better. You have to do this for every game so it makes a little annoying when starting up each game for the first time.

In the end if you are a die hard Sega fan and want to relive the games of the past you owe it to yourself to pick up the collection. If you are hoping for something new then you might as well skip this collection for now. I doubt Sega will patch in online leaderboards or multiplayer.

Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Sonic Ultimate Genesis Collection

First off, this collection of games is probably only going to appeal to big fans of 16-bit gaming, although I'm sure that it would also appeal to people that have a strong curiosity in playing games from about 20 years ago, and children that are just getting into video games The children in my family (ages 5 to 9) seem to really dig it, while the slightly older crowd (ages 10 to 13) don't seem to be too interested in the older technology.

I think the collection is completely worth it just for the Phantasy Star and Shining Force games, so when all the Genesis Sonic, Streets of Rage, Vectorman, and Golden Axe games are also included, this really does start to feel like a major bargain.

If I have minor gripes with the collection, it's that a couple of strong first party games like Toejam and Earl, and Outrun, would have been nice additions over weaker games like Alex Kidd, or Super Thunderblade Two games that I'm pretty sure most wouldn't spend much time with. The bonus arcade games is a nice touch, although Altered Beast is the only one that I thought was worthwhile (and that's only for the few old schoolers that like Altered Beast to begin with). The addition of the original Phantasy Star was a really nice bonus, and I wish that could have done a little more of that with a couple more Master System games. However, for the 10-20 bucks you can get this collection for, it really is hard to complain that they didn't add enough, so these are really minor gripes.

For people that REALLY love their Genesis games, this collection probably won't be a suitable substitute for the original hardware (and software). The 360 d-pad is really iffy, and I personally prefer playing on the original Genesis controllers. Although it really won't matter on the RPGs, you will notice a difference trying to pull off moves in Streets of Rage. I'm not completely sure if 3rd party controllers are available with better D-pads, so I guess it's worth looking into.

All in all, this is a very solid collection of games for the price. Diehard oldschoolers will probably find a few things to complain about, but I think that most that enjoy this era of gaming will probably walk away with thier nostalgia itch satisfied.

Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception - Playstation 3
Customer Ratings: 4.5 stars
Buy Now
Greatness is a word I want to stress regarding this game. Drake's Fortune was great fun, a welcome departure from the end of the world/futuristic shooters predominating at the time. Among Thieves was the ultimate sequel and built wonderfully on all aspects of the first. Drake's Deception, the third entry in the series, is something else altogether. This game sets a new precedent for how inclusive and engaging video games can be. There will be some who won't feel so strongly but most anybody who loved the first two is going to LOVE this.

>Graphics 5/5 As always, fantastic! They have managed to improve on the sequel. While the game still looks the same overall it is the details that ND continues to add that makes each game an improvement over the previous one. This entry specifically seems to push the already present cinematic feel as evidenced brilliantly by its opening scene and chapter as well as numerous times during the game in cutscenes and gameplay.

They show off their abilities by purposely trying to show us different settings than the previous games. The London Underground is wonderfully designed, the Colombia streets are populated and lively, a temple found in Syria has a wonderfully cinematic design, etc. They also show off their ability to render fire, sand, some excitingly trippy hallucination style sequences where everything is warped, and a fantastic (if slightly out of place in the overarching story) swaying environment on a ship. Another nice touch is some levels occurring during day and others at night.

Character acting has again improved as much between this and the last game as the last game did over the original. Faces are fuller and more expressive (Chloe's face is major evidence of this). This game looks so good family members will stop to see what I am watching and so entertaining they then wind up sitting down to watch me play.

>Gameplay 4.5/5 Drake's Deception has everything you loved about the first two games, only more finessed and perfected. Enemies are now slightly smarter and diverge on your position quicker (though in some ways I'd argue this makes them easier to take down, no more pin downs). The weapons system has been updated and tweaked (anyone who played the beta knows aiming is more particular, but you quickly adapt). Drake now grabs weapons automatically when out of ammo, another nice added detail.

The best new feature seems to be the updated brawling system. In what reminds me of the recent Batman Arkham games, Nate can now evade, counter and take on multiple opponents. It's all great fun and plays well. The ability to dive underwater becomes well utilized in later chapters. The new ability to ride a horse is simple but works well, think of the jet ski from the first game only updated, you sort of just steer and shoot. Another nifty new detail is the ability to throw back grenades, though you have to time it well.

Having finished the game I will say objectively that any faults to be found are in gameplay pacing/mechanics. All games I've experienced have a sometimes clumsy quality to gameplay. On occasion you press a button and it doesn't do what you want, that's just part of gaming. In Uncharted this manifests itself when sometimes trying to reach for a specific ledge, it can look like Drake is doing calisthenics.

The other issue is more subjective but this game seems to have less prolonged gun fights (which I always enjoyed) and more of the game plays itself in a sense. Another reviewer said it best noting that the game holds the players hand more this go around (press square now, circle now, etc), this may please some but will definitely aggravate others looking for more challenge. Though this may be due to my having a better handle on the gameplay by this third installment it would still be nice if some new/larger challenges were added to compensate for those who have learned from the previous entries.

>The story 5/5 I won't give anything away but well crafted stories are a key reason for the popularity of this franchise, this entry doesn't disappoint in that regard. The actors perform great as always, so many nuances brought to the characters. This game takes the world of the previous games and expands on it. If the second game was a continuation of the story from the first then this game is an opening up of the characters, their world and the story being told.

A wonderful backstory for Nate and Sully is crafted and played out and a flashback of sorts is handled in a respectful way when it could've felt cheap or forced. There is a very Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade feeling here. This game has the mix of action, humor and romance that previous games had with strong emphasis on emotion in some key scenes (and for those concerned I felt Elena and Chloe's respective returns were well handled and logical continuations).

Another possible criticism though, the villain in this entry is formidable and compelling but when you finally reach the ending I don't feel she is as well utilized a final boss as either Navaro or Lazarvic. The villains overall are also not well explained, not that they have to be, some mystery is always nice, but how this one guy appears and vanishes almost magically at several points I'll never know. Then there is no real boss showdown. There is also a character, Charlie, who is fun but severly underdeveloped and largely used only for story purposes. These don't detract from the game at large but I mention them as I hope they aren't issues that will magnify as further installments are released.

>Online Content 5/5It was adding the online content to the sequel that propelled this series to a new status within the gaming world and here it looks like they aim to keep that status. So far it looks like all the fun of the Beta without most of the bugs or any of the restraints. Everything seems to run smoother and it feels more like playing Uncharted 2's online content, though perhaps this is because I'm more used to the updated mechanics after playing the full campaign? Anyway, you get more customization, more options, more everything.

>Conclusion > Game of the year? You better believe it. Certainly if you are new to PS3 or debating the commitment this game makes it well worth it. You don't have to have played the first two for this to be enjoyable (though I suggest both based on their own merits and to make this story even more enjoyable). While some game studios dream in the recesses of their mind only to wake and find it vanity, Naughty Dog are dreamers of the day. They act their dreams with open eyes to make it possible, and in making Drake's Deception, this they did.

The game is 22 chapters of greatness and should be a good 8-10 hours on the main story depending on player ability. Then there is the treasure hunting/trophies and acclaimed multiplayer to ensure you get well worth the $60 price tag. Overall I'd say this game could be critically rated at the worst 4.5/5 but as a fan I'll say anyone else who enjoys these games is going to rate it 5/5, no doubt.

Greatness from small beginnings is the phrase that starts out this story.

Uncharted 3 takes us to a whole new world of treasure hunting like never before. In this game, not only do you play as Drake, but as a young (child version) Drake as well. The story jumps back in time through out the game, where we learn how Drake and Sully met and become friends. A new woman is brought into the picture. This time, she's a former love interest of Sully and not Drake.

Rather than starting out the game in the middle of nowhere like Uncharted 2, this time you're in the heart of Europe in a British pub. But just as in past games, you are quickly jumping from location to location throughout the world. Each scene remarkably done and visually stunning.

On thing I really like that's different in the Uncharted 2 storyline is this time there's less issues with your team mates turning on you. In Uncharted 2, people on your team were often taking off, and you lost your allies as quickly as they joined you. In Uncharted 3, your team of 4 sticks with you and works together. Your not getting abandoned because you partner ran off with the bad guys, even if they were just pretending to be on their side.

The story is just as compelling as it has always been. Uncharted 3 plays out like a blockbuster movie, only you get to control the moves. Climbing, running, fighting and shooting your way through everything you can imagine, Uncharted 3 has managed to even out do their last game. As usual, while playing you also look for treasures throughout the game to collect. You have your journal again to help you solve puzzles as well.

Online game play is set up by using a pass code that's included in the games case. Once set up, you have game play options such as:

Team Deathmatch

Plunder

Team Objective

Three Team Deathmatch

Free-for-All

Hardcore

Co-op Arena

Co-op Hunter Arena

Co-op Adventure

The online game play benefited quite a bit from the open beta testing. The online matches are smoother and have less issues than there were months ago when they first opened the testing. I played quite a bit during that first month and can definitely see much more fluidity in the online game play movement versus how it was during beta.

This is not a game you will want to rush through. There is so much to see, treasure to collect and story behind it all.

Best Deals for Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception - Playstation 3

Uncharted 2 ended up being a smash hit. Perhaps one of the best video games sequels ever produced. It was better than the first game in almost every conceivable way. It's hard to imagine any follow up to Uncharted 2 being half as good but rest assured, Uncharted 3 is just as good as it's predecessor. If you played the first two games and enjoyed them then you simply have to play Uncharted 3.

The story in Uncharted 3 is a bit more rich and defined than the first two games. Nathan Drake is back and this time he's searching for the Atlantis of the Sands. It has something to do with the ring he inherited from Frances Drake. But a woman by the name of Katherine Marlowe believes that ring is hers and it ultimately holds the key to finding this lost city. On paper Uncharted 3 sounds pretty basic, but watching the story in action showcases a strong character driven narrative. In particular players will learn more about the dynamic between Nathan Drake and Sully. The cast is remarkable and charming. And we learn about them not just through the cutscenes but how they interact with one another during some of the moments in between the actual cutscenes. The dialog and banter between them is charming, humorous and sometimes even heartfelt. There are also moments that can, and often do, feel as though they've been ripped from a summer blockbuster. Though some of it is definitely over the top, the character driven nature of the story is what ultimately makes it so good. Like the first two there is a distinct human element at play that makes the simple situation an interesting one.

The cutscenes are aided by extremely good direction and motion capture as well. The characters feel human. But more than that, Uncharted 3 is simply a beautiful game. The environments the game takes place in are detailed and the animations are smooth. The Uncharted games in general are some of the prettiest you'll ever see. But it isn't just that they're visually astounding, it's that their detailed and encompassing. The environments come alive. Other details also stand out a lot. Water or sand is amazing and the way the physics work is also amazing. If there's one thing we can clearly say about Naughty Dog, it's that they'll never skimp on the presentation of a game. The voice acting is equally as good and charming. Some of the best you'll hear in the industry. As you play and watch the characters interact and hear their voices it's hard not to love them. You'll be drawn into their personal hell and anguish, but also their joy. It's all great on the eyes and ears.

Gameplay wise, Uncharted 3 hasn't changed too terribly from the first two. There is a good amount of gunplay, platforming and puzzle solving throughout the adventure and the game does a very good job of balancing them all and pacing things along. The gunplay in and of itself hasn't changed much. You'll find yourself charging from one firefight to the next, taking down the bad guys and picking up their weapons or replenishing your own supply of ammo. You'll also take cover to avoid fire and pop up to shoot when the time is right. You can also enter melee combat which is fun as well given how much it has improved over time.

The platforming sections are generally among the easiest to acquaint yourself with. You'll find yourself scaling walls or jumping from ledges or hanging off objects all in an attempt to keep yourself from falling too far. Despite all the detail, the path is usually laid out for you. This is also true throughout the entire game. You'll rarely get lost or not know where to go next. You'll also rarely find yourself backtracking as a result. Aside from a few of the hidden treasures off the beaten path, there's no reason to really deviate from your destination. And if something should happen where you find yourself stuck, the game will point you in the right direction. The puzzles are pretty creative and simple. You won't find yourself stuck for too long, given that the game will provide hints thanks to a journal that Nate carries around with him.

The game handles all of this well, rarely keeping you in any given situation for long. What is more amusing is how much adventure is truly packed into this game. The second game, in particular, had amazing moments: A helicopter chase across rooftops, an amazing train sequence, a game of cat and mouse with a large tank and a jeep chase were just some of the second game's highlights. Uncharted 3 does a little more. Without spoiling anything, you'll find some of these moments leaving you quite breathless at the spectacle. It's not the situations themselves that are amazing as it is how the game presents them. You'll even find yourself scaling and shooting at enemies firing from above and watching as they tumble forward and fall past you. It's amazing stuff.

Without a doubt the biggest overhaul is multiplayer. Before the versus primarily had you on teams but here you can do a free for all or three teams against each other at the same time. You still have other modes such as the co-op survival mode or a variation of capture the flag. You also still have tons of different boosters to equip. But you can also enter matches with temporary boosters (called kickbacks) which you can get by earning a certain number of medals. They're not permanent but they help for those who may need that small boost. Likewise, for those who want a truly hardcore experience you can always go onto the hardcore battle arena. The maps are also ingeniously designed. Not only are your opponents people you have to look out for, but so are some of the environmental effects. In one level a sand storm rolls in, for instance.

The most rewarding is the co-op experience. Sure you can still go into an arena and do a survival mode and whatnot, but there's actually a co-op campaign here as well. And it's a full blown story campaign, complete with cutscenes and everything. You can team up with two friends and go at it. It's remarkably satisfying and pretty addictive.

Uncharted 3 isn't perfect by any means. Like the first two before it, there's a lot of precision in playing. For example how the game times some of its jumps when say... platforms are falling from beneath you. Or cutscenes that run seamlessly into gameplay. If you're not on the ball you may find yourself retrying certain segments constantly. Some moments can feel like a trial and error practice simply because you don't know WHERE to go immediately and thus you fail until you figure it out. Since Uncharted 3, like the previous two, is very straightforward and linear you generally only have one option out of a situation. If you don't find it fast enough in some of the more time sensitive moments you're done for. In other situations your timing may be off by just a second. Uncharted has always been somewhat of a challenge but most of it comes from the first hand experience. When you play through a second time things tend to flow more seamlessly when you know exactly where you're going and what you're doing. The good news is that checkpoints are everywhere. If you end up failing a platforming section or a gun fight you usually tend to start right next to it. So the game won't punish you too badly.

Uncharted 3 is a great follow up to Uncharted 2. Whether or not the game is better is up for debate. The multiplayer suite certainly is, but for some fans who were truly blown away by Uncharted 2, they have to face the fact that the third game isn't exactly the same leap forward that the second one was. You've got new weapons, a revamped melee system and you can now toss grenades back to your enemies... but for the most part Uncharted 2 didn't have much that needed fixing to begin with. It was a near perfect game, addressing each and every issue the first game had. With not much to address there isn't much for Uncharted 3 to really improve upon. Or add, for that matter. In seems the only part that Naughty Dog strived for more with was the story. And they succeeded. You certainly get a much more emotionally involved story but the gameplay is primarily the same thing here. If you've enjoyed the gameplay of the series thus far, there's no reason not to jump into this one. The story and characters alone make this a must play for Uncharted fans.

Honest reviews on Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception - Playstation 3

Uncharted 3 is a solid, well-put-together first-party AAA PS3 title. However, I don't feel it's as good as Uncharted 2. That's not an entirely fair comparison, since Uncharted 2 was a masterpiece, one of the best games ever produced from a design, pacing and story standpoint.

The third Uncharted was really very fun, and one can tell the game design was absolutely top-notch. Really interesting and varied environments, can't-put-controller-down pace it's all there. But it just failed to draw me in. Whereas Uncharted 2 had me on the edge of my seat most of the game (especially with Elena's story near the end), 3 was very good but a little predictable. I didn't really care for most of the game what happened to Sully, and frankly the small plot twists were far from unexpected.

This type of game needs, I think, solid character relationships to draw you in. Elena Drake is a great relationship: an on-again off-again attraction of opposites. Once I had extended playtime with her by my side, I was really interested / attracted to her character. Sully? It's whatever. Somehow the character feels a bit too one-dimensional. To me, Kid Drake is a very bad design call the sort of hokey thing a AAA title really doesn't need to have.

And Uncharted 2 was HARD. If you cranked it up to Crushing there were some parts that were nearly impossible. Even on Normal the campaign was tough and long. Uncharted 3 feels a bit short by comparison, and really quite easy overall. Only two or three times did I feel really frustrated in an encounter / gunfight.

I also thought the Tibetan / mountain art style trumped the desert. Guess that's a matter of personal preference, but it does seem as if Naughty Dog had a lot more time to flesh out the art and level design in the 3 years between Uncharted 1 and 2 than in the one and a half between 2 and 3.

Definitely a great game, probably 8.5 / 10 I think, but not a must play game of the generation.

I have noticed anyone saying anything bad about this game is called an "xbox fanboy" or the reviewer gets insulted.

Everyone has the right to their opinion and I happen to agree with the negative reviews about this "game".

This game was recommended to me by a friend and I had never played any of the Uncharted games before, but this game just seemed like very bland and repetitive gameplay. The chases especially drove me crazy after a while, it was like enough already.

New age games have all kinds of cut-scenes and very deep storylines, but its like you watch a little and you need to play through a little bit just to get to the next part so as opposed to it being like interactive it's much more one dimensional. This is the same type of complaint from everyone who gives this game negative reviews because it's true. The difference is some people enjoy this type of gameplay, I like many others personally do not.

The story is very good and so are the scenes and at points I found myself wanting to fast forward the gameplay just to watch the rest of it as I couldn't care less about playing it and in fact preferred not to as the gameplay was not that fun and seemed more like an interruption to me.

With a story like this and the way its setup the gameplay really is not necessary.

This game is very reminiscent of Tomb Raider with the puzzles and adventure and everything which is great, although I find it to be much slower paced and I found the gameplay is too forced and as I already mentioned feels almost unnecessary. There is no strategy involved or skill really you just need to make your way through to get to the next scene.

In any regard this game is certainly not worth 1 star like others have given it, but I just found it very slow and boring to play, but the story and cut-scenes are very good and anyone who likes a game like this will certainly love it, but if you are into more fast-paced arcade style games this is definitely not the game for you.

very limited game play opportunity. maybe it's just me, but i never thought of this show as an opportunity for a video game. how exciting is removing a bolt for an entire minute (with a little graphic on the side showing how far out of the car it has traveled)??

just like the show, you have a set number of days and set number of tasks (buying or cannibalizing and installing parts with a budget) to complete the build. you control 3 team members plus jesse james. unlike the show, you just rip the car apart and put the new parts on before the days run out. just as a guage of interest, my kids spent 10 minutes on this game and spent the rest of the day playing "need for speed 2 undeground". i would not recommend this game at all. it's very poorly done.

I have been a casual fan of flight simulator programs for over 20 years. Not a hard-core simmer, by any means. But I usually buy the latest iteration of MS Flight Simulator and Combat Flight Simulator and have logged more hours than I care to admit in the PC cockpit.

So I was very excited when the PS3 came out. At last, a console with the innards to handle flight simulation! Powerful CPU? Check. Great graphics chip? Check. High definition? Check. High capacity Blu-ray game discs to handle mountains of terrain data? Check.

Imagine my disappointment when, upon purchasing the PS3 two years ago, I found the flight-sim category to be virtually non-existent. The last two years have been slow to fill the gap. I got "Blazing Angels 2" and it was a joke. The irritating bravado of the characters, the silly missions, and the unrealistic physics--you could fly a plane straight up, indefinitely, until you hit a magical glass ceiling that defined the boundaries of the game--made it more like a cartoon than a simulator. HAWX was not much better.

Il-2 is different. This is an extremely well-done combat flight SIMULATOR. It is easy to learn, fun to play, and nearly impossible to master. It is the PS3 game that I have been waiting for--a combat flight simulator for grown-ups.

For starters, the whole tone of this game is different from the other PS3 combat flight sims. The presentation is understated and respectful of the historical events it recreates. There are black-and-white news-reel clips that introduce each of the "chapters," which are excellent. The "encyclopedia" gives the historical background of the events. And at the end of each of the missions is a journal entry of the character you are playing. All of this is very well done. The sober good taste does not detract from the fun of the game. It enhances it.

The graphics, too, are top-notch. There are a million tiny details that the developers got right, creating an extremely realistic landscape to fly though. The fields and hedgerows of southeast England have a believable patchwork irregularity to them. The habitations are realistic, too--with the cities organically fading into suburbs and then into farmland. Topographic features like the cliffs of Dover are convincingly rendered. And the sea and sky, what beauty! Seeing the streaked reflections of mid-summer cumulous clouds in the English Channel, a sunset reflected in the Volga near Stalingrad, or a frosty morning over Bayonne is alone worth the price of the admission. Unlike "Blazing Angels," you feel like you are flying through a real world that extends indefinitely in all directions, not a movie set.

As a bonus, the night skies are rendered accurately, too. On one night mission, I saw a familiar "V" in the sky, which I suspected was the Hyades in Taurus. Sure enough, it was. Close by were the Pleiades, Orion, and Gemini. And I soon located the Big and Little Dipper. I spent a whole mission stargazing--to the consternation, no doubt, of the bomber flight for which I was supposed to act as fighter cover.

Although the game is playable on the standard PS3 Sixaxis controller, it really cries out for a joystick. I got the $30 Thrustmaster stick and have been pleased. I would really like a force-feedback stick--to get a better feel for the control surfaces and get a jolt when hit by enemy rounds--but I am not sure the game supports force-feedback.

The game has two main single-player modes: "campaign" and "single mission." They both progress through different chapters--i.e., theaters of war. So you start out with "Battle of Britain," which has four campaign missions and a dozen or so single missions. Then you proceed through the Battle of Stalingrad, Sicily, Korsun Gap, Battle of the Bulge, and Battle of Berlin

There is a good mix of scenarios. Not every mission is a dogfight. Some involve ground attack with a fighter-bomber using rockets and bombs. Others involve providing top cover for a bomber flight. Some missions don't involve any fighting at all, but just require you to navigate to and land at different airfields. And there is just about every permutation of day/night, sunny/cloudy, summer/winter, urban/rural that you can think of. If those variations are not enough, you can create your own missions with the "training" option, where you can choose your plane, time, weather, theater, enemy planes, enemy skill, etc. The various "trophies" encourage you to explore the different possibilities that the game affords.

The developers have done an excellent job at making Il-2 playable for novices, while still retaining the feel of a simulator. The "arcade" mode gives your plane very forgiving aerodynamics (you do not get into a spin if you pull back too hard on the stick), unrealistic performance (your Spitfire can, with "War Emergency Power," exceed 500 mph--way beyond actual performance), and over-the-top lethality (a single short burst is often all it takes to down a Stuka). But it still feels real. You still have to maneuver into firing position and "lead" your target--a targeting aid helps you with that, too, though. The game is easy enough to learn that my 8-year-old son has completed several of the missions already.

If you are experienced at PC or console flight sims, it probably will not take too long to get through the missions on "arcade" mode. But that's where the fun begins. Once you move to "realistic" mode, the game takes on a different character entirely. Suddenly, your plane isn't Superplane--it's just an ordinary fighter. It takes more bullets to down an enemy, and you have to calculate the lead yourself. Your plane also becomes aerodynamically unforgiving. Pulling back too hard on the stick will stall your plane and, more often than not, send you into a vicious spin. And with just an ordinary engine, it takes some skill to get into firing position with an enemy fighter. I have just completed the Battle of Britain on realistic mode, and it was tough.

If that weren't enough, the game has "simulator" mode, where ALL computer aids are turned off. You no longer have on-screen labels or a "tactical map" showing where the enemy is. You have to use your own eyes. I haven't even been able to complete the tutorial for simulator (I keep losing my instructor and the Bf 109 I am supposed to shoot down) so it likely will be many more flying hours before I can step up to that. The game really is as difficult as you want it to be.

I suppose that any review has to include some "cons." But there are not many with this gem of a game. First, the voices in the game are repetitive, which is annoying. Not a big deal, though. Second, there is no two-player mode. I would like to go head-to-head with my son but, alas, the only multiplayer mode is online. Third, you cannot tweak the realism settings. There are only three options, Arcade, Realistic, and Simulator. Small, Medium, and Large. I would have liked an option to have retained all the aspects of Realistic mode, except for the diabolical tendency to enter into spins. Though I understand and respect the decision to simplify the interface for the general console-playing public. And I am getting better at avoiding and coming out of spins, so no big deal.

Overall, though, this was Christmas in September for me. I have annoyed my wife by staying up `til the wee hours on many nights fighting off Messerschmitts and Stukas. And the game has prompted my 8 year old to say the three magic words that every father longs to hear from his son: "Awesome kill, Dad!"

This review might be tailored for the more hardcore sim gamers. Also this is specifically and only for the PS3 version, not the PC or XB360 versions.

Just a few words to everyone else: Simulator mode is, by design, very frustrating. An actual simulation is not as much "fun" as an arcade flight game. A real WWII Era aircraft has the following characteristics: No Radar (except for dedicated night fighters and specialty aircraft, but then certainly not as luxurious as the Arcade radar!), Machine guns and cannon with a relatively short range. Only a handful of real pilots could score hits and kills at long range. Far fewer still at a maneuvering target. It takes a long time to develop a USABLE sense of lead and deflection. There were some computing gunsights that require significant training to use. The lead computer in arcade mode removes the need to train. WWII Era fighters ALL required some 'work' to fly. A major design characteristic of most of the excellent fighters was that they required less "work" trimming, fuel mix, charger settings, even compensation for high speed flight characteristics like buffeting, torque roll, some even had a complex radio I can't recall them all but this just gives you an idea. WWII fighter excellence depends on many, many skills. Aircraft development over the last 65 years has compensated to a limited extent.

Situational awareness is of primary importance. Without going overboard, situational awareness means "Where am I? Where is the Enemy? Am I threatened? Is it safe to attack? Am I losing speed? Gaining speed? Am I in a safe position? Do I have enough fuel/ammo?" This was all done with basic guages (horizon, altitude, airspeed) and the Mark I Eyeball. In 'Simulator' mode, you do not have a radar. You have to use your eyes. Your eyes are stuck in your head, and they can only look in one direction at a time. You must be comfortable with looking around constantly to maintain your awareness of your situation. You must become skilled at looking for clues in the enemy aircraft is he closing? what rate? can I maneuver? will I get a worthy shot?

You have limited ammo. A few short bursts, then done. You have one or two bombs. 6 or 8 rockets. Yes. Reality IS frustrating. If it were totally realistic, you would play for years and only get a handful of kills. Richard Bong is the top scoring American Ace of all time. He got 40 kills in World War II, all in the Pacific. Erich Hartmann is the top scoring Ace of all time with 352 claimed kills. He flew 1,404 missions. The ratio is 1 kill every 4 missions [In Hartmann's case, he had several "multiple kill" missions which means that you may fly 10 or 12 with no kills and still be on 'Ace of aces' progress...]. Understand that many pilots never got even one kill. Accept it If you are ONLY excited by kills, then a true simulator will not make you happy. Most funseekers do not want a realistic simulator. Perfectly understandable why that is.

In this case, even the 'simulator mode' is a wee bit Arcadey.

The 4 stars is because this is a fantastic console game. It still does not enter the realm of computer-realistic-flight-sim. If you have never played a realistic flight sim on a computer in realistic/simulator mode, then you will not probably fully understand my comment. No offense is intended, it is a great game, and it is a ton of fun, and it does a very good job of presenting all of the MOST FUN aspects of WWII aerial combat while minimizing the frustrating parts in Arcade and Realistic mode. It truly is an excellent balance. I think it is much more fun with a joystick, but it still isn't quite a simulator. A true simulator takes a really long time to master, and then only if you are training in a way that allows you to improve your skills.

Also, I might have given it 5 stars if it had a Kursk scenario. Kursk was not only a triumph for the Red Army, but also the Red Airforce. The Russians took much higher losses but they had more planes to spare, and they used different tactics because they realized that in general they had inferior equipment and basic ability. The PS3 game does not convey that feeling. Compare the number of Russian Aces to the number of Russian air combat casualties to undertand what I mean.

So: Great arcade action! Awesome graphics! Good feel for realism and 'simulatey' stuff graphically -4 stars!

But: Kursk? and Not Quite a sim! (again BUT Unless you are a purist you DON'T WANT A TRUE SIM)

This game far surpasses any existing flying experience previously found on any console system. It IS as close to a perfect gaming experience as I've seen. My wife yelled at me for 3 nights running because I didn't come to bed until almost dawn as I was up playing all night long.

The campaign is robust and as more players get the game the online experience will be a blast. The airfiled capture is great fun.

Flight dynamics are real enough that you'll want a stick to go with it (I bought the Hotas for $37). Even with the sixaxis/dualshock it is a hoot to play. One thing is for sure, you must get this game.

Honest reviews on IL-2 Sturmovik: Birds of Prey - Playstation 3

Sturmovik is a solid WWII game from 505 Games and worth a look if you like flight games.

Story The story behind this game is basically the retelling of personal experiences from a variety of pilots across the European theater of WWII. I wouldn't say the story is particularly compelling and the narrator has a bit of an accent which can make it difficult to understand. I assume most people don't look for a strong story in their WWII aerial shooters so no big deal.

Visuals & Sound Players should be quite content with the sights and sounds of this game. The world is bright and colorful with plenty of detail. I am pretty confident in saying that this game looks better than Ace Combat 6 and Blazing Angels. The sound is excellent with all of the exciting engine sounds and explosion effects. I noticed quite a bit of screen tearing in the cockpit view and am not sure if this is primarily a PS3 issue. There were some frame-rate issues during the more epic battles.

Controls The controls are pretty terrible and will take you quite a while to get used to. Clicking the stick to look around is awkward. Could have used customizable controls.

Gameplay This game is fun but can be slow and difficult at times. You are not flying a jet so it takes a while to get around the enormous maps. I would advise sticking to the arcade difficulty unless you really prefer more of a simulation level experience. The realistic and simulation difficulty levels are quite a challenge and you will spend a great deal of time trying to shoot down enemies.

Multiplayer Didn't try it out.

Overall this is a solid, well made game but it isn't for everyone. If you like flying games I would highly recommend this title. If you prefer more fast paced shooters like COD4 or Halo then it probably isn't for you. .

Overall this game is entertaining if you enjoy the genre. Even if you don't im sure there is plenty of fun within. The single-player aspects are extensive. Fairly large campaign with 3 different difficulties/realisms. Arcade mode makes it easy to just hop in and fly around dogfighting fairly easily. Simulation for the hardcore enthusiasts, and realistic for the in-between. Something for everyone. I find the realistic to be the perfect blend of difficult flying and adrenaline fueled fun. It really feels like im flying these planes. Cranking the throttle up and pulling some barrel rolls, stalling engines and pulling out of spirals at the last moment. I went with the recommended T-Hotas flightstick for thirty some bucks. Works pretty good. Brings me that much closer to the PC realism. All the single player missions and planes unlock as you progress. Nice training section. Huge list of trophies to strive for with a large number geared for online bragging rights I guess. Graphics and sound are as good as you currently get on the PS3 I suppose. Not 1080P I dont think, but you know what I mean. lol

I havent hit the online play yet but will this week. Probably incredibly fun dogfighting other players. The realism here will allow for legit piloting skills to prevail and dominate. There will be some people becoming feared aces in these skies. After a tough decision between this and the other recent WW2 fighter sim, I decided on this because I had actually played this company's similar title on the PC in my past. With the release of the PS3 I've decided to convert back to a dedicated console gamer. Even though consoles still havent caught up completely to PCs, it's getting fairly close. The low cost and ease of play, not to mention being able to lay back on the couch in front of a 52" HD monitor while gaming.

I give it 4 stars because in order to be a 5, it needs to blow me away. For this price, the game is well worth it and should provide a lot of enjoyment.

I thought this would be a heavy vinyl cover that went over the control. When I got It, it was only a sticker that was to be stuck to the

top of the controller. I would never had ordered this if I knew It was just a flimsy sticker.

kinda fun game. It takes awhile to getting used to. Totally different than any other wrestling game out there. But it is still fun to play

If you like Muscle toys, etc you'll probably like this game. I like that they have some custom dialoge for certain match-ups. It's easy to pick-up but not as in depth as other wrestling games is why I advise it for fans of the toy mostly. I had fun unlocking everything & playing every character to see which characters I could get on the top 10 records which I filled.

Good fun but will sit on your shelf after a short enough time. Try to get it for under $10.00 & you should be happy.

After my 5th play-though, I'm still passionate about this game. So naturally I will not miss any single DLC of this game.

How is amazon allowing reviews before content is released? Clearly these people are attempting to justify their purchases, like reading car reviews after you have bought it already. Delete these reviews amazon! Would you allow someone to review a book before it's released simply because they are excited about it? No.....

Best Deals for BioShock Infinite Season Pass

I pre-ordered this season pass, and I must say that the early bird items are pretty cool, and are a decent bonus for putting full faith in the later DLCs.

Included in this pack are the following items:

Gold Pistol Skin,

Gold Machine Gun Skin,

Damage Upgrade for both Pistol and Machine Gun,

Full Set of Passive Perk "Gear" (Clothes),

5 Infusion Bottles (Level up Items that Increase Health, Shields or Vigors),

For what you get right now, this would be a rip-off, but with the stellar quality of the game, and the amazing track record of the developer, the three DLC packs you will get will probably make it quite worthy of a purchase.

Also a warning, this is the PC version of the pass. The code will NOT work on Xbox or PS3.

Honest reviews on BioShock Infinite Season Pass

Bioshock Infinite is one of the greatest games ever. I bought the season pass hoping for more great content with the 3 DLCs it promised.

The first one came out and it's merely a battle arena... while it's fun Bioshock wasn't great because of the gameplay but the story and how you felt immersed in the game. So in my opinion it was a cop out DLC.

The Burial of the Sea Part 1 is so short its not even worth playing. I assume when Part 2 comes out it will be a great DLC...however I really feel like breaking them off into parts is a cop-out for creating content for the people that purchased the season pass.

So buy it if you'd like just know you are really getting 1 worthwhile DLC even though it advertises more.

Only other review for this product is a 1 star saying it doesn't work. That's not true at all. It works great on PC, and the code even works on Steam!

I wasn't expecting a lot out of Fighter Within, and although it isn't awesome it is better than I expected. I can throw fast punches and it will recognize that (Wii and older kinect never would). Kicks work well too. I can reliably cover/block as well. As I learn more advanced combos my opinion may go up. It is quite a workout to play this one!

Pretty amazing game! Fun with Kinect! This is not the most accurate kinect game, but it is fun, especially when you play it with your friends! could be a really fun time!

Best Deals for Fighter Within

This game really gets your heart pumping. Just like in other motion based games you need to make sure that you stand far enough away from the sensor. The graphics are pretty good, and the only problem is sometimes its a little slow to react to your punches and kicks. In single player there is a duel mode, and arcade mode. Now it doesn't have xbox live multiplayer, but it does have local, and it's always good to have a fun multiplayer game to play with friends. Bottom line Fighter Within is a good game, but you do run out of breath fast.

Honest reviews on Fighter Within

This game surprised me. I only pre-ordered one game (Forza) and I wanted to download something else for some variety. I chose this because it is very different and is a Kinect game. The story mode teaches you all the moves. The Kinect does not always pick up my moves accurately, but I'm getting better at making my fighter do what I want him to do. It is pretty impressive since this is one of the first games using Kinect 2.
