I have this unit and I like it. It holds my guitar, 3 controllers, my chat pad, all my games and my console. I have my wireless headset on the very top shelf so everything is in the same spot. It sits out next to the big screen in my living room so it looks neat and tidy when we have visitors. Yes, it is enclosed on the 2 sides, top and bottom but the back is out and thats where the fans are that bring air in to cool it. I have also purchased an intercooler for mine. Their are other reasons for the red rings as well not just over heating. Mine got the red rings with E74 error which is major hardware failure that Microsoft is aware of and repaired for no charge although my warranty had expired. My sons got the red rings and his console was sitting out and not enclosed in anything. I like this product. Well constructed, quality material. It's not shakey or top heavy. I recommend!

This shelf looks very nice, and can help organize your games and accessories, but placing your 360 console in this shelf is a VERY bad idea. The Xbox 360 has a tendency to over-heat, causing the infamous "red-ring of death" effectively destroying the console. It is advised that you always keep your 360 well ventilated in an open area to decrease the risk of overheating. In this shelf, the 360 is blocked on almost all sides greatly increasing the risk of overheat. I can't recommend this.

Ok I was a little mad when I saw the reviews of this game. How can you write a review when you don't even HAVE this game? Well I have this game and I am here to tell you how good it is. First of all this game is fantastic, the graphics are the best for Dreamcast yet and the battle system is completely amazing. The best way to describe the battle system is like lunar: SCCC's battle system in 3D. Also in the battles everyone can be moving at the same time. Another thing about this game is it is SO detailed. In some of the stores you can knock over bottles or knock a picture out of place. Another example of the great detail is in the battles. When a character hits a bad monster, the character blinks there eyes, and when you hit them, you might yell AAAHHHHH or another thing. These are just some of the great things about this game. I won't keep going on telling you how good this game is, you will just have to play it for yourself. This game took me about 30 hours to beat and I literally spent about 10 of my hours battling because it was so fun. Now after you read this I hope you buy this game, the story is excellent and it can be emotional at times. Do not pass up a great game like this, because I can not tell you how good it is and how it changed my life.

At first when I played this game I wasn't that impressed. The story and characters tended to be your standard RPG fare: a young, arrogant, spikey haired hero who yields a big sword; a young beutiful innocent female sidekick who knows magic; typical good vs. evil storyline. However, several hours into the game I got hooked. The graphics don't start out that impressively, but by the time you get to the meat of the game and experience the battles for the first time, I was really impressed. The music is standard RPG fare with a mix of pop, rock, and classical. By far the big draw of Grandia 2 is it's amazing battle system. For the first time in an RPG, I actually look forward to battling monsters. In fact, I'm actually running into monsters on purpose in order to experience a fight. The battles load fairly quickly and are beatifully presented in 3-D. There's a great mix of real time 3-D and prerendered FMV in the hundereds of spells that you can cast. The FMV is refreshingly unique and makes it appear as if you're looking at an anime movie. This battle system should be the standard for all future RPGs. Its that good.

"Grandia II." What else is there to say? The original Grandia was an instant masterpiece (the Saturn version, mind you). Does this one live up to the first? Hmmm....

To start off, the story (spoiler-free) is as follows: Ryudo, a cold-hearted, cynical Geohound (a mercenary for hire), is entrusted to bring Elena to a ceremony. However, something goes wrong, and Ryudo must go on a journey to protect those which he hates the most.

The gameplay is very straight-forward and linear. Alright, let's compare it to "Zelda: Majora's Mask." in Zelda, you could go ANYWHERE in the field. In Grandia II, you are only allowed a choice of going to three places in the entire game. Which is truly sad, because that could have made this a much better game.

The character development in this game is something that is truly rare. You will see romance blossoming between Ryudo and Elena, and many other relationships with the other members of your party. Not to forget the truly sad and dramatic interaction between Ryudo and his brother.

Now, here's the highlight of the entire game: the battle system. It combines real-time and turn-based fighting into the best system ever invented ever. Here's a brief description of how it works:

All the members in your party are located on a bar that has COM in the middle-right, and ACT at the far right. Once your character reaches COM, he/she can input a command. The character then moves from COM to ACT and right when it reaches ACT, the character will perform the command. Amazing, isn't it?

The graphics in this game are awesome. Not in the realistic way, as you might think, though (like in "Shenmue"). The characters have no mouths (which is also kinda good, as there is more flexibility in voice-acting translation). Most Special and Magic moves have CG effects and the actual overworld has some great cinema movies.

The replay value is so-so. Once you beat the game, there are no real reasons except just to fight some enemies (which is still fun).

Overall, this is a great RPG that has no equal on Dreamcast, save for "Skies of Arcadia" and "Phantasy Star Online." If you have Dreamcast and are a RPG fan, you'd be an idiot to skip this one.

Honest reviews on Grandia II

After beating ... out of Skies of Arcadia twice, I told myself, "Self? You need another RPG." So I picked up Grandia II. Good points first. The battle engine is excellent. Characters just don't run up to the enemy, strike, then go back to their original position. They are moving around, which makes you think out a battle strategy. Everything from which magic our item to use, down to the basic question in this game, especially when fighting bosses, "Do I have enough time to cancel this guy's attack before he wipes me out?" The graphics are very good, too. It's a funky mix between polygons, CGI, and Japanese anime. pretty wicked. You'll understand what I mean when you use Ryudo's Dragon Zap, or Millenia's Fallen Wings. The storyine starts out great, but somewhere along the line it turns into a theological discussion on good, evil, and religious beliefs. But it was enough to keep me interested. To this date, other than Soul Reaver, I haven't heard better voice acting in a game. you will definitely be suprised. By far, my biggest problem with this game is that it was way too short. Ususally, when I play an RPG, I like to fight whatever I can, whenever I can. Being that in this game, you can see where you enemies are, I was in heaven. By doing that I put myself slightly ahead of the game. Beating bosses were not a problem. So, in the end, I ended up clearing Grandia II in 3 days (it didn't help that I purchased the game on a Friday. I played it all weekend). Also, don't be fooled. The jewel case says that there are 2 discs. This is true, but one disc is the game's soundtrack. But all in all, this game is great. But to this date, Skies of Arcadia is a better game. If you have neither game, buy Grandia II first, then buy Skies, so you won't be dissapointed.

I don't know what kind of personal vendetta the above reviewer has against Grandia 2. Whether the game beat him up, or peed in his shoes is beyond my knowledge, I have to step up and defend this aweseom Dreamcast game.

As one of few stellar and eagerly awaited RPG's for the system, and for it's time. Grandia 2 shines. Whether it is the deeply constructed battle system, or the better than ever voice acting, Grandia 2 was a game that I couldn't stop playing.

The story, while it was not up there with the giants like Chrono Trigger, Panzer Dragoon Saga, or Phantasy Star, it had it's moments to be remembered. Despite being typical RPG character cliches, (The female healer, the angsty young buck that'll save the world once he confronts his feelings, the huge axe wielding silent guy) they do an above average job of fulfilling these requirements.

Get this game, especially since its cheap now.

My family had been looking for something to do as a unit and Rock Band 2 has turned out to be consistent fun for weeks now. We are two professionals with a 4-year old boy and 6-year old girl. We can enable the "no fail" mode and play pressure-free tunes at varying skill levels (if you choose to be challenged while having fun with the family). Being able to download music you want to hear or play makes the game very user friendly. We purchased a bass guitar about a week after playing with just the drums, guitar, and microphone.

Tomb Raider: Underworld
Customer Ratings: 4.5 stars

Tomb Raider: Underworld is another decent -if not outstanding -installment of the Lara Croft series. The game picks up sometime after the events of Legend, and makes an attempt to tie-up the story. The developers have made an attempt to make this the first Tomb Raider game for the current generation of consoles, and for the most part, they have delivered.

As a Tomb Raider experience, this showing is similar to past games. All of Lara's classic moves are in the game, and the controls are relatively familiar. There are some new moves, such as the adrenaline headshot, which requires you to build-up adrenaline through combat before executing the move. It is effective against humans and animals, but not so much against other enemies you encounter later in the game. There is also a new "adrenaline moment" move, in which the on-screen action slows and you must decide how you want to handle the situation -there's no sequence of buttons to press, and no right or wrong way of doing things. However, I found that these moves were scattered widely throughout the game, and weren't as plentiful or as exciting as the developers had hyped them. The wall climb is another new move, which is well designed and makes you think a little more about how to get to higher ground -you don't necessarily need to look for ledges. In fact, Lara can now climb rock faces as well, so this game tends to mix-it-up for long-time fans. Additionally, in order to find treasures, Lara must break open clay jars -which is somewhat new but also counter-intuitive if Lara values artifacts. Lara's movements are a little more acrobatic, and sometimes her stance just doesn't seem right.

The camera remains the biggest problem in this game, as it had been in both Legend and Anniversary. You simply learn to cope with it, and fortunately it is never a game-breaker. There are "invisible walls", which are areas of a map that Lara can't pass. There are moments when Lara can get stuck in a corner, or simply stuck in the scenery -I encountered several issues where her feet were apparently caught on a rock or a plant. By contrast, although enemies are persistent in this game when you kill them (bodies don't disappear), Lara's feet pass right through them -as if they're vapor. Enemies have no physics at all once they are dead. From an A.I. perspective, the enemies are fairly non-responsive and very easy to defeat.

The game shines in level design. Each level is huge. There are no annoying loading screens or loading delays -everything is loaded in the background, so play is non-stop. The game offers a sonar map on Lara's PDA, which I found totally useless since it did not provide points of interest or way-points. There are many puzzles -sometimes you'll be faced with 2 or 3 puzzles within a level. Puzzles are well-designed but not incredibly difficult. There are no bosses in this game, which is odd and disappointing, considering the number of bosses that appeared in Legend. In a way, however, the puzzles have become bosses because of the skill associated with them (Southern Mexico, as an example).

In addition to the graphics, the sound is superb. The musical score is present at the right moments, but can get extremely repetitive sometimes if you're stuck in a sequence trying to figure something out. CGI animations are smooth, with excellent voice-acting.

The game is fun to play, and the story is tightly-woven and entertaining. If you've played Legend, you'll be satisfied with the one or two twists thrown your way to close that storyline. However, if you didn't play Legend or Anniversary, you might not understand this story at all. I don't think the developers did a good job at making this a stand-alone game. The ending seems very final -there's nothing left to anticipate. I also thought that the game was entirely too short -much shorter than Legend while also much easier to complete. The only replay value is in the "achievements", many of which will be unlocked in the first play-through. It's a good game and worthy of play by fans, but certainly does not trump the previous games.

If it weren't for the (relatively few) flaws, this game would be a masterpiece. I've been a fan of the tomb raider series for a long long time, but for whatever reason haven't played the last two. I'm glad I gave this one a go.

The pros:

Gorgeous and expansive levels

Great acrobatics

Puzzles are the perfect difficulty

Lots of puzzles

The cons:

Controls take some getting used to, especially the grappling hook

Lara gets "stuck" in the environments sometimes, especially if it's right on top of a terrain change. Can usually escape pretty easily, but it's annoying nonetheless

Invisible walls and "special" walls. I prefer delimiting the boundaries of where you can travel by walls that are simply just too high to jump on. Invisible walls feel cheap. "special" walls are walls that you can jump on and climb (as opposed to unspecial walls that look absolutely identical, but for some reason Lara refuses to grab it). In this sense the environment isn't totally autonomous, I would like to be able to do everything that the laws of physics allow me to do. If there's a wall that isn't any higher than my hands when I raise them straight up, I should sure as heck be able to climb it.

Axis inversion doesn't work on vehicles. This is a little weird, and really feels like a bug in the game, but when playing 3rd person games I really like axis inversion. It's broken on vehicles.

Lack of keyboard mapping. On the Xbox 360 version anyway, there is no option to remap keys.

Autosave feature is a little weird. It uses 8 save slots, the same 8 save slots for if you do manual saves. So if you do a manual save, it will get overwritten later by an autosave.

There is also the obvious comparison to Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. I would rate them about the same, each with its own cons, with Uncharted just having a different set of cons. There are obviously a lot of similarities between the two games, but if you liked Uncharted you won't necessarily like TR:U. For starters Uncharted is much more heavily focused on the combat. In Tomb Raider you might encounter a total of 10 enemies in a level which takes you 3 hours to beat. In Uncharted you would have encountered 100 enemies in that same level. Because of this, the combat system in TR is less refined. There's no "taking cover" for example.

All in all though TRU is a solid, if not the best, game in the Tomb Raider series to date. If you're a fan of Tomb Raider, you will love this game, no question about it.

Best Deals for Tomb Raider: Underworld

"Tomb Raider: Underworld" (TRU from now on) is easily Crystal Dynamics best effort since they took over the TR series from Core Design. It's obvious that the designers have been listening to the fans, and they addressed nearly all of the complaints that people had about their previous attempts.

Here's what they improved:

1. Level design.

Their first attempt, "Tomb Raider: Legend" had extremely linear levels, allowing for practically no exploration. This flew in the face of everything TR was supposed to be about. They improved on this with their second game, "TR: Anniversary," but that was a remake of the original TR game. TRU is the first time that Crystal Dynamics has created their own, original, open levels. They're not quite as open as, say, the levels in TR3, but even on those occasions when you are merely progressing along a predetermined path, the world just feels more open because of its clever design and the massive scale of it all (remember how big St. Francis' Folly in TR1 felt when you first played it back in the late 90s? Well, that's NOTHING compared to enormity of some areas you'll discover in TRU! There's a level towards the end of the game where you have to scale a rotating tower, and the massive scale of it is awe-inspiring. It really adds to the sense of vulnerability you'll feel.)

2. Combat

One of the common complaints about "Legend" was that you seemed to be in a firefight with a ton of mercs every few seconds. TRU scales back the combat drastically, returning the focus to exploring, platforming and puzzle solving, with just enough combat to keep you from ever getting too relaxed. And, if you find the combat too easy (or too difficult), you can adjust the amount of damaged Lara does to her enemies (and the amount of damage that enemies do to Lara.) There are separate sliders that you can move to tailor the gameplay to your preference.

3. Zip & Alistair

These two characters were a mixed blessing in Legend. They helped provide Lara with more personality by constantly chatting with her as she explored, but they also ruined the sense of isolation, and their comments often got a bit tedious (not to mention the fact that they sometimes told you how to solve puzzles when you'd rather figure it out on your own.) In TRU, they no longer to chat with Lara as she explores. They're still in the game, and they show up in cutscenes, but they don't intefere with the adventure. Instead, Lara now has a camcorder, and at key points in certain levels, she'll film certain things and comment on them. It's a good compromise-she still has a personality and we still get some background info on what we're exploring, but the sense of isolation that people enjoyed so much in the original games is back. Also, if you do find that you need a hint, you can ask Lara what to do. Her first response will be somewhat vague, but it might be enough. If you're still stuck, ask her again, and she'll be more specific. This is a very effective way to implement a hint system.

4. The Grapple

The grappling hook that Lara used in Legend and Anniversary is back, but it's implemented better this time around. Just like in Anniversary, Lara can use her grappling hook to run along walls, pull objects, etc. but the designers smartly avoided forcing you to use the grappling hook in situations where it's more frustrating than fun. In Anniversary, for example, there were certain wall runs that were only difficult because you were constantly battling with the controls to get Lara to do what you wanted. In TRU, the designers realized what works and doesn't work, and they seem to have kept this in mind (mostly) when designing levels. You'll still need to do wall runs, but because of the way they're set up, they're more often fun than frustrating.

5. Boss Battles (or the lack thereof...)

There are no boss battles in TRU. This could be seen as a con to some people, but I see it as an improvement. TR games, for me, are not fighting games, and always found boss battles to be more of a roadblock than entertainment. Also, unlike in Anniversary, you're never forced to pull off the tricky adrenaline headshots. If you want to do them, fine, have fun. But if you'd rather just shoot away until your enemy is dead, that's fine too.

6. Lara's moves

Lara finally feels like the character she was always meant to be because her move set has been expanded to give her more flexibility than ever. If you're hanging from a cliff, and a swarm of bats flies towards you, you know longer have to hitch yourself up to solid ground before you can start shooting at them. Just hang on with one hand and shoot with the other. There are plenty of other little new moves like this that really make the game flow better than ever, and all of the moves were motion-captured by an actual gymnast, so it feels more believable than it ever did in previous games.

7. Locales

After the first two TR games, the series started including more and more levels that took place in very non-TR-like locations, such as big cities, hi-tech towers, military bases, Paris streets, etc. TRU really brings the focus back to what TR was originally about-exploring ancient ruins. There are a couple of levels that take place on a ship, but other than that, it's all classic TR environments.

But, as I said in the title of this review, the game is "ALMOST" perfect, meaning not everything is as it should be.

The biggest problem is that in spite of how massive the levels are, it really won't take you very long to complete this game. Now, this is partly due to the fact that Lara simply moves faster than she did in the old games, so getting from point A to point B takes less time. It's also due to the fact that you're rarely left running around aimlessly in circles trying to figure out what to do next, as you often did in the old games. These are both good things, and if these were the only reasons the game took less time to complete, I couldn't fault it at all. But the truth is, there simply aren't enough levels. There are a small handful of massive levels, and a few mini levels in between. What's feels really cheap, though, is that some of the mini levels are actually repeated! (WARNING: If you want to be completely spoiler free, skip the rest of this paragraph) For example, there's a level that takes place on a ship near the start of the game (actually, it's just a small part of the enormous first level.) It's fun the first time around. But towards the end of the game, you have to replay it, and it's pretty much identical, with only the enemies being in different places. Similarly, there's a prologue level that takes place in Croft Manor. Later in the game, you replay the EXACT same sequence. This is a cheap way to pad an already fairly short game.

Another complaint-The game starts out a bit weak. The opening level (after the short prologue level) starts you off in a somewhat disorienting underwater sequence. It looks impressive, but it's not as much fun as it should be. And once you finally get inside, the level still doesn't make a great impression. Not to say it's bad, but it just seems a bit bland compared to the great stuff that comes later. All I can say is, stick with it and you'll be rewarded.

Some people have complained about the camera being uncooperative, so I feel I should mention it here. Honestly, I haven't had any major trouble with it. There are times when you won't be able to see something that you're supposed to jump to, but the game works around this by giving you visual clues. If you suspect that you might be able to jump safely in a certain direction, try pointing in that direction. Lara will prepare herself for the jump if it's do-able. If there isn't a safe way to jump in that direction, she'll either shake her head, or just do nothing. So although you can't always see everything, just pay attention to Lara's reactions, and you'll be fine. This is actually an improvement over previous games, where you often had to take blind leaps of faith with no indication from Lara about whether or not you'd be safe.

One other very minor complaint-The story. It's not that the story is bad at all, and it certainly has some great moments that'll stick with you, but the villains are too rarely seen, to the point where it's easy to forget about them. Legend, I feel, did a better job of keeping the main villain central in the plot. In TRU, you'll see the villains near the start of the game, and then they pretty much go away entirely until the end.

Still, all things considered, TRU is a great game, and now that it's cheaper, its short gameplay isn't really such a factor. If you value quality over quantity, you can't go wrong with this one.

Honest reviews on Tomb Raider: Underworld

The graphics for this game are better than the previous generation as expected, the game play is smoother and climbing much easier than before. I was pleasantly surprised by this game.

Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Tomb Raider: Underworld

Fun game. Controls and moves are easy to learn, nice graphics, good story, length is fine. Where the game really shines is in its puzzles, environments, and level design. It seems a lot of thought went into these, especially in the Jan Mayen Island and Arctic Sea levels and the Lara's Shadow add-on (all of which are fantastic). Criticisms that the levels are confusing are overstated IMO. You do have to explore the area to figure out what to do next but that's part of the appeal of adventure games. My only complaint is that the camera angles fly here and there (I would like to give the game a 4.5 out of 5 for this reason) but it's not bad enough to be frustrating (just mildly annoying).

I paid full price for the game when it was released last year and don't regret it. At $20, it's a bargain for fans of the series or anyone who is looking for an alternative to first person shooters.

I'm a big fan of arcade style racing, and Test Drive:Off Road took it to the next level. (If you prefer more "realistic" racing where you buy parts & make money see my review on 4x4 Evo2 instead.)

Test Drive delivers the one thing I have wanted from a racing game for years, the ability to choose your own way through a course, AND still win. In '98 Microsoft came out with Motocross Madness, where you rode dirtbikes and did tricks for points, but when you were in racing mode, if you left the track, you didn't stand a chance of winning.

Test Drive is different. There are tracks that you can use, and finish, and win on. But you can choose to go off road and win also. You choose your vehicle based on what you want to do. There are power vehicles and speed vehicles. The speed vehicles do well on the relatively flat dirt tracks that lead to the finish, while the power vehicles that have lower top speeds do better leaving the beaten (longer) path and taking the shortcut over the top of the mountain.

That said, there is still a downside: There are a relatively limited number of races, so if you are like me and tend to finish games quickly then this one won't take you long. It can also be frustrating, because when you play in the hardest mode, the other vehicles will attempt to bump you and make you spin out. That is really annoying when you managed to stay in first place through an entire race, and then get spun out 10 seconds before you hit the finish line and you end up in 5th place.

This is the best off road video I have ever played. The two major reasons why, are there are great trucks to choose from (with many upgrades), and when racing any level, there are no limitations to the track. For example some off road games make you stay on this set path, and of you don't, your speed will decrease. Not in the game. You can climb mountains, go off cliffs, and crash your vehicle as many times as you want, becasue the game lets you get creative and find your own ways to win the races.

But yes, i found one negative to the game. the music played while you are racing is horrible. (i realize this is personal) but it is all heavy metal that just iritates you. You can turn the music off, or thanks to the x-box technology put your own cd in and have it play while you are racing.

All in all it gets an A.

If you are looking for a good off-road driving simulation, this is not the game for you. The graphics are average at best and the driving model is very arcade-like. There is no vehicle damage, and jumps are insane.

HOWEVER, the forgiving driving model is great for younger kids who can't control more serious driving games. My 5 year old and I have a great time racing each other with this game.

It also has a career mode where you can earn vehicle upgrades by winning races. The "tracks" that are available are a bit limited, but they are a lot of fun, especially the jumps.

Honest reviews on Test Drive Off Road: Wide Open XBox

This game is a great game if u wanna chalenging, hard to beat racing game. This game has awesome graphics and its not so easy to beat it took me about 30 MINUTES to beat one of the races. Although, sometimes you may get frustrated when you race, and sometimes you're in 1st and then someone comes and knocks you out-or spins you out-you end up in 5th.

Good Things-

Awesome Cars (Stock cars in speed and power, Modified cars in speed and power, Pro cars in speed and power, and Unlimitied cars in speed and power)

NOT easy to beat

good graphics

ALOT of races

A GOOD GAME

Good music, and sound

once beaten still really fun to play

really good with multiplayer

free roam is fun

Bad things-

Frustrating at some points

when selecting things have to push the button awfully hard

easy to win once in front of everyone kind of alot

so overall, A PRETTY GOOD GAME RIGHT(...)

This game has great graphics and a good selection of vehicles (even the Chevy Avalanche), however it lacks one component. . . fun.

In career mode you would expect more feedback throughout the course of the season. All that you get is a flip from one season to another.

By season four the tracks become redundant and you find that you are racing the same four tracks over and over again with difference weather conditions. I became so bored with the game after that I haven't picked it up since.

I am avid gaming enthusiast who played games for over sixteen years. I also worked in the industry of gaming. After having played dozens of modern games on all current gen systems I've began to lean toward classics to give me some gaming diversity and to experience historical gaming.

As you may know Midway as a company does not exist now. They bankrupted sometime in 07 or 08 and the brand was eventually purchased by Warner Brothers who are now the owner and publisher of all Midway games. Until Midway went down Xbox Live had very nice versions of Midway games in digital download form. They were made by Digital Eclipse and were very nice. They always gave a perfectly emulated original game as well as newer and "improved" versions with higher definition art and backgrounds. These versions were taken off XBLA and for some time no one had access to Robotron 2084, Smash TV, Joust, etc etc.

This collection of games is developed for WB by somewhat legendary developer Backbone Entertainment who made collections of Sega games and other retro games before. They are all well emulated versions of original games. They have good screen options and background selections, but the actual games are just identical original games. You do not get options to play any kind of "improved" or HD versions of the classic games. Just a lot of original games.

I have to give this game 4 out of 5 because the original classics are all well done and emulated, have leaderboards, and decent controls. But since there are no improvements of any kind at all such as was done before by Digital Eclipse for XBLA a star has to be taken away.

I had to get it because currently it is the only way to play Midway games on modern consoles.

but really lacks in so many others. Judging by how quickly the game installs to the hard drive of my xbox 360, I definitely think they could have added quite a few more titles...However, for 30$, it's still a steal. Definitely kicks back the memory to yesteryear. It does seem to have a few quirks though. Numerous times my sound would cut out in mid game, but would come back after the level was over...Also, many fun aspects of the game are missing from some of the games as well..A few good examples are:

In Pitfighter, your opponent doesn't taunt you and in Rampage, it is impossible to change your character if you continue the game after being killed. The achievements are also insanely easy to get.

Also, it can be very hard at times with certain games to adapt to the 360 controller as far as general flow of the game.

Overall, it's a good game and it delivers 99% of what it should (sound cutting out really bugged me though). I would still highly recommend this game if either you want to recapture your gaming youth, or even check out what all the fuss of the past is about. Some very exciting titles in it and for a few dollars per title, you can't really beat it.

Honest reviews on Midway Arcade Origins

I'll keep this short. The emulations are spot on perfect. The game list contains some of the best action games of the arcade "glory days". The menu is simple, intuitive and works nicely. Many of these arcade compilations have been released in the past, this is one of the few in true, brilliant 1080p high definition, looks amazing on my big screen Samsung LCD (the prior PS2, Gamecube, etc generation releases looks fairly crappy on a newer HDTV). The experience is particularly fun when using external speakers (i.e. soundbar, home theater, etc), feels like standing in an arcade in the old days. This collection has inspired me to pick up an xbox 360 adapter for my x-arcade. The stock xbox 360 controller works nicely, particularly with dual-joystick games like Robotron and Smash TV. Last but not least, the budget price on this game makes it a no-brainer. I highly recommend this game to all those who remember the old arcade days fondly, or to newer gamers who want to experience the history of gaming in a nice, high definition package.

I already own Capcom Digital Collection and Namco Museum Virtual Arcade, so it goes without saying that I enjoy retro gaming. I was tempted to preorder Midway Arcade Origins but held off because the price of $29 seemed a bit high. When the price fell to $19 I got it and am happy with the purchase. None of the individual titles will get hours of stand alone game play but as a whole it is well worth owning.

Best Xbox 360 120GB Hard Drive Deals

Xbox 360 120GB Hard Drive
Customer Ratings: 4 stars

I don't have the "black" one but I couldn't find the one I needed to write the review for. It's the same thing anyway but mine is the one that is the same color as the original 20GB Xbox 360 drive.

The only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is because I think it is overpriced and should be offered by Microsoft at an "upgrade" price for people who had already purchased the 20GB drive.

Anyway, the drive comes with a kit (disc and USB cable) that allow you to easily transfer all your data from your old 20GB drive to the 120GB one. The transfer was easy and hassle-free. The entire process took less than 90 minutes. When I turned on the 360 afterwards with the new drive attached, everything booted up exactly as it had with the old 20GB drive. There was no further configuration or registration needed. All data had been preserved perfectly downloaded demos, trailers, and other content, saved game data, music, etc. The new drive is even a little bit faster than the old one although it's possible that my old one had gotten fragmented and that was slowing it down, so maybe it's really the same speed.

Anyway, this is nice. Now every time I want to download something I don't have to scrounge for some free hard drive space by deleting stuff I would really rather keep.

And a note to Microsoft in case you are reading this you should more clearly advertise that this drive comes with the data transfer kit. I have been considering buying this drive for months now, but was hesitating because I didn't think I would be able to transfer all my data from the old drive. At one point I even called the Xbox support line and specifically asked if there was a way to transfer the data over, and the lady I spoke to made no mention of the transfer kit. She told me that if I logged in and "recovered my gamer tag" that all my saved data would be restored. I brushed this off simply because that would have to mean that every bit of my 20GB of data has been sent over the internet to Microsoft's servers and even if this had been the case, I would have probably had to leave my 360 turned on for a couple of weeks to wait while it all downloaded again.

Price is a bit steep since I just got my Xbox 360 5 months ago but a must have item for me. The 13 GB of usable space on the original drive is too small to hold demos, clips and ripped CDs. I started ripping my CD collection to the Xbox 360 and quickly ran out of space. The Media jukebox is wonderful for playing my CDs over my sound system.

Installation was completed in less than 5 minutes and the transfer of the 20 GB took 1 hour, 19 minutes. I am currently downloading 7 GB of game demos I can play, as well as TV and movie clips. Tons of FREE content if you have the hard disk space.

I believe I can even transfer my home photos to it to use as a slideshow.

Super simple installation. Insert CD, pull out USB connections, plug transfer cable into new drive and other end in the rear USB. Push A. When finished, remove CD, turn off unit, remove USB cable, and change out new drive for old (2 seconds or so to pop out old and insert new). Turn on and enjoy.

Most people who already own a xbox 360 this product may be very tempting and some people have been waiting months on this. You could use this to store music on your xbox hard drive as well as videos and xbox live arcade games and game demos.

For people who are continually running out of space on their 360 this is a Godsend. If you're downloading HD movies you'll really appreciate this. If you want to store your music on your 360 you'll love this. However, if you're just using the xbox 360 hard-drive for your game saves then this is more than you'll ever use.

It would be better to wait until you're having problems storing everything you want on your 20GB hard drive and then decide if you need this. If you do decide it is worthwhile later you might be able to pick it up for a little less money.

EDIT_____

Now with the New Xbox Experience it is possible to install games on your hard drive. Since most games are about 6 GB it makes a 20 GB hard drive seem super small. Still, I don't think most people need this, but an avid 360 fan will find plenty of use for the extra space.

Another space concern I've found is downloading extra game content. Those map packs and extra songs for Rock Band fill up your drive pretty quick and they aren't things you'll ever want to delete. If you are looking for someone who plays Rock Band, or Guitar Hero, a lot they might be in real need of this.

Honest reviews on Xbox 360 120GB Hard Drive

Normally if you buy a 120gb BRAND-NEW, you wont have to worry about this issue, but IF you buy a USED hard drive from one of the other vendors on this site you NEED to make sure what type of hard drive your getting.

There are two types; the black one that comes with the elite 360 and the chrome/silver one that is sold independently.

The Silver one should come with the data migration kit that allows you to transfer all your memory from your 20gb hard drive to your new one. MAKE SURE THAT THE VENDOR INCLUDES THIS CABLE or you will be up a very deep creek without a BOAT.

You can only get a Black hard drive used if someone were to sell their hard drive from the elite 360 (a rare occurrence, but it happened to me). This hard drive wont come with a data migration cable at all UNLESS the previous owner received one from Microsoft. ONCE AGAIN, MAKE SURE THAT THE HARD DRIVE YOU BUY HAS A CABLE WITH IT or you will be unable to transfer your data from old hard drive to new.

Microsoft can offer to send you a free migration kit, but that's ONLY IF YOU FILL OUT A FORM AND SUPPLY THE SERIAL NUMBERS OF YOUR OLD 360 AND THE NEW ELITE 360 YOU JUST BOUGHT. Bought a used hard drive and not a elite 360? Plum out of luck, cause you can't get one from Microsoft unless you supply that information. You could buy one off eBay, but they usually go for upwards $10-$15 IF YOUR LUCKY, $20-$40 IF YOU'RE NOT.

Right now I'm looking for a Data Migration Cable because i didn't have the knowledge I'm giving you all right now. Either buy the 120gb Hard drive NEW and guarantee you'll get the cable with your purchase, OR GET IN TOUCH WITH THE USED HARD DRIVE SELLER AND MAKE SURE THAT THEY HAVE A CABLE TO SEND WITH THE HARD DRIVE THEY'RE SELLING. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID.

As the title states, if you order this item, you may or may not get an official Microsoft product. If you, like me, read through the reviews on this page, you have seen a lot of 5-Star ratings, and lot of 1-Star ratings. The reason for this is that Amazon.com sells this item from the storefronts of various venders. Amazon.com has no control over what product these sellers send you.

More than likely, you will receive a Third-Party Hard Disk that will not work with your Xbox 360. If you receive this item, it does not come with a transfer cable or disk. My advice is that if you get one of these, return it immediately and try again as the Hard Disk will perform incredibly well as a shiny, brand spanking new, "Made in China" paperweight.

If you are lucky enough to receive an official Microsoft Hard Disk, then you WILL get the transfer cable and disk you will need in order to move your stuff to your new Hard Disk and you can call it a day.

Luckily for all of us, Amazon.com's return policy is excellent in regard to problems of this nature and if you get duped by one of these fly by night storefronts Amazon will return your hard earned cash within a few days.

Final word on this product: BE CAREFUL. If you get what is shown on this page then you are golden, otherwise be prepared to return it.

After my 5th play-though, I'm still passionate about this game. So naturally I will not miss any single DLC of this game.

How is amazon allowing reviews before content is released? Clearly these people are attempting to justify their purchases, like reading car reviews after you have bought it already. Delete these reviews amazon! Would you allow someone to review a book before it's released simply because they are excited about it? No.....

Best Deals for BioShock Infinite Season Pass

I pre-ordered this season pass, and I must say that the early bird items are pretty cool, and are a decent bonus for putting full faith in the later DLCs.

Included in this pack are the following items:

Gold Pistol Skin,

Gold Machine Gun Skin,

Damage Upgrade for both Pistol and Machine Gun,

Full Set of Passive Perk "Gear" (Clothes),

5 Infusion Bottles (Level up Items that Increase Health, Shields or Vigors),

For what you get right now, this would be a rip-off, but with the stellar quality of the game, and the amazing track record of the developer, the three DLC packs you will get will probably make it quite worthy of a purchase.

Also a warning, this is the PC version of the pass. The code will NOT work on Xbox or PS3.

Honest reviews on BioShock Infinite Season Pass

Bioshock Infinite is one of the greatest games ever. I bought the season pass hoping for more great content with the 3 DLCs it promised.

The first one came out and it's merely a battle arena... while it's fun Bioshock wasn't great because of the gameplay but the story and how you felt immersed in the game. So in my opinion it was a cop out DLC.

The Burial of the Sea Part 1 is so short its not even worth playing. I assume when Part 2 comes out it will be a great DLC...however I really feel like breaking them off into parts is a cop-out for creating content for the people that purchased the season pass.

So buy it if you'd like just know you are really getting 1 worthwhile DLC even though it advertises more.

This game isn't entertaining at all. It's Hulk Hogan marketing thrown on top of a lame game. The wrestling is just you following the moves that are shown on the screen by Hulk Hogan. It's not fun and very choppy. The "fight" is further broken into comic strip sequences to add yet another level of choppiness to an already choppy game. Save your money or get "Fighters Uncaged" instead.

My 9 year son enjoys this game a lot. he get a workout and enjoys doing moves on the game..It sometimes does'nt pick up the moves correctly. But all around it is a good game..

Best Deals for Hulk Hogan's Main Event

Kinect games are very hit or miss. And Hulk Hogan's Main Event is no different. There are some things to like, but there are more to hate.

The graphics are atrocious.

The sound is inconsistent.

But I actually think the Kinect sensor registers pretty well.

Some moves are ridiculously difficult to pull off, but many Kinect games are.

Overall, it's probably worth the $10 I paid for it, but I would probably rate it lower if I paid $20, $30, $40 for it. If you can get it cheap, try it out.

I think TekNmotion should let folks know there is no way to connect the Yapster Blaster headset to Xbox without buying some additional connection cords. It would have saved me some grief Christmas morning! Here's how I got the thing working (and this will only work if you connect your Xbox to your TV using an HDMI cable): Buy an "RCA audio cable adapter for Xbox 360 & Slim," available on Amazon for $1.44 RCA Audio Cable Adapter for XBOX 360 + Slim. Also buy a cord with the red and white male audio connectors on each end RiteAV RCA Stereo Audio Cable (6ft). Follow the headset's included instructions to connect the headset to the controller, etc. When it says to then (miraculously) connect it to the back of the Xbox, use the two items above and the thing will work.

The guy at Radio Shack suggested it might work by connecting the headset directly to the TV and skipping the Xbox altogether this, of course, would still involve the purchase of one of those red and white audio connectors. I'm guessing you could use one of the TV's USB inlets to power the headset. I haven't tried this, though, so I don't know if it would work.

As to sound quality, my boys say the headset sounds great and is very comfortable. They only have the cheap headset that came with the Xbox to compare it to, though.

3 Stars instead of 5 because of the connection hassles. Quality seems fine.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I'm a gamer and I'm not ashamed to admit it. I'm typically on the Left 4 Dead, Call of Duty, etc., etc.-type games on Xbox 360. The only un-gamerish thing about me is that I've never bought a full stereo headset in my life. However, I have tried friends' Turtle Beach-brand headsets and enjoyed them.

Miraculously, this TekNmotion Yapster Blaster is a superior product to the Turtle Beach headsets . . . and a FRACTION of the cost!

For only $29.99, you can receive a solidly built, well manufactured, and great-sounding headset, vs. the sometimes hundreds of dollars that Turtle Beach charges.

I set this headset up to play Call of Duty: Black Ops and was scoring like I'd never done before. I could hear the entire environment, all the footsteps & gunshots, and knew exactly where it all was like I was on the Black Ops team in real life!

Final Verdict: Don't bomb away a hundred bucks on a set of Turtle Beaches. GET THESE!

Best Deals for TekNmotion Yapster Blaster Amplified Universal Headset for Xbox

I recently acquired an XBOX over Black Friday, and was on the hunt for some headphones to use with both my PC games and the games I got for the XBOX.

When I purchase something online, I tend to obsess over my available options and the price vs. features for the products.

I stumbled across this headset while considering purchasing a Turtle Beach for around $60. I didn't really feel like spending that much, and found this for more than half the price ( I paid $22 when it was on sale).

The packaging was a bit flimsy, but the headset was nicely packaged and arrive unharmed. Overall, this headset is amazing, especially considering the price you pay. I have heard sections of bass in music that I have never heard before! They also work well with the XBOX, and there should be enough adapters to fit your set up.

The only (minor) complaint I have is the plastic used is not as solid as I expected it to feel. Not to say it feels "cheap," (it's actually fairly well built) but just be careful with the headset.

Also, I have noticed that not many reviews anywhere mention the cord length. It was around 8-9 feet, and even a bit longer with the amplifier attachment. If you plan on using these for a room (e.g., dorm room), you should have a range of motion that is plenty large enough to not feel tied down to the console or PC.

Comfort wise, they are as comfortable as pretty much any over the ear headphones like this. I have glasses, and if I wear them for a few hours, they do get a bit cumbersome, but that is the form factor and not due to the product. This is not a deal breaker for me, and really hasn't been that big of an issue. The padding on the headband is a nice plus too! They also block out sound pretty well, which is nice for studying (if I get the time between playing games :P )

Overall, a great product at a great price!

Honest reviews on TekNmotion Yapster Blaster Amplified Universal Headset for Xbox

I've only owned this headset for a couple of days, but I've gotta say it -this thing rocks!! I've used it playing multiplayer Call of Duty on Xbox, as well as other games and also on the PC. For being a stereo headset, it works marvelously. The sound quality is terrific. I formerly owned Turtle Beach X31's (until they broke!) and I honestly couldn't tell the difference between them. The sounds are crisp and powerful, while at the same time not overwhelming. It's a great feeling to get the drop on an opponent because you can hear their footsteps from halfway across the map.

The design of the headset is simple, yet pleasing. It's not gaudy or audacious or overly-bulky -it is compact and comfortable. Setup is relatively straightforward, the 12 feet of cable is more than enough, and the microphone is easily adjustable/flexible, without being flimsy.

The only downside I could find with this headset is that there isn't a separate chat volume control. In order to change the chat volume without changing game volume, you have to manually go into the Xbox settings and adjust the volume to your liking. While it is a pain, this is only a minor setback, and can be easily overcome.

Finally, I've heard some other reviews from people who say that the headset is easily-breakable. I don't find this to be the case at all. The ear and headpieces are adequately sturdy while still providing comfort. I've twisted and pulled on the microphone, as well, and it doesn't seem like it would come apart without an effort. With care, I can see this headset lasting me quite a while. Just don't throw it around or stomp on it.

Overall, you're getting quality that is equal to that of more well-known brands, at a fraction of the price.

I received this headset from my ex-boyfriend last weekend to replace a pair of X11s that he chucked out the window when we broke up. Yeah I'm a girl gamer, what of it? I had never heard of this brand before, and at first I thought that he was being super cheap with me since its only $30. As it turns out, he just gave me the best kept secret in gaming headsets! This thing sounds abso-freaking-lutely incredible!

I can't believe that I went around for years telling people that Turtle Beaches were the bees knees. This thing has plenty of deep and tight bass. Its super clear and crisp. And I can hear everything, every opfor footstep, every opfor reload, EVERYTHING! And even though its only stereo, I swear I can tell almost tell exactly where sniper shots are coming from. Plus, I don't get that annoying usb power buzz that I used to get from my X11s.

And the mic is like super sensitive, maybe too sensitive. I used to have to speak up or say things twice to team members. Now I just have to say it once without yelling and they totally hear me. But when I was watching Netflix with a friend, he kept telling me to stop breathing into the mic. Seriously I DO NOT breath loud but I guess he could hear me breathing!

The only thing I'm not crazy about is that the headset looks a bit on the stoopid side. I prefer all black so I'm not crazy about the silver parts on this headset. But that's a very minor thing I guess. And since no one can see me online, it doesn't matter what I look like when I pwn them.

Overall I say this headset is just SICK! Teknmotion ROCKS!
