The MW3-branded Foxtrot is nothing more than re-packaged PX21 by Turtle Beach. The PX21 is also a universal headset (Xbox360, PS3, PC), despite being labeled as "PS3 headset" on Amazon. This is a good headset, and pretty easy to setup and use, but unless you're really into the MW3 logos and green coloring, save yourself $40 and get the Turtle Beach PX21's. Same exact thing. The PX21 would get 4 stars for being above average headsets at a good price. The MW3 Foxtrot loses a star just because it does the same and costs more.

After going through several stock Microsoft headsets, I finally decided to get something a bit more durable what I ended up getting is the Limited Edition Turtle Beach MW3 Foxtrot Headset.

Out of the box, I was pretty quickly satisfied with the design and the feel of it. It's well-made, yet lightweight. Hook-up is also quite simple, but if you need instructions, they're there for you. As this thing is wired, it doesn't take batteries; it simply plugs into one of the USB ports on your 360.(I recommend the one in the back, just because. Well. It's in the back.)

On the cord, there's a little box that allows you to adjust game sound, chat sound, toggle mute, adjust bass, and this thing that says "Expander" ... I'm ignorant as to what this thing is supposed to be, all I know is that when you turn it to on, you get a bit more static than when it's off, doing nothing from what I can tell other than lowering the audio quality. There's also a little 360 controller on the box, which is where you plug in the little included adapter cord, so you can talk to people over Xbox LIVE.

It's really quite incredible what a solid headset does for you how much it changes the game. You really have to hear it to believe it. While this isn't the absolute best headset on the market, or the cheapest, it's not too bad at the price of about $100. While this headset doesn't have Dolby 7.1, it has "amplified stereo," as well as an awesome thing I mentioned above the bass boost. This thing makes the headset all-the-more worth it. Turn this up, and any game you're playing instantly becomes better. In Call of Duty or Battlefield, every shot you fire from your gun rattles your eardrums ever-so nicely, as does a nice big explosion. Perhaps even better, is using this headset while playing Rock Band or the good ol' defunct DJ Hero never has the music sounded so good. And of course, the bass just makes it better.

Another thing that's included with the Foxtrot Headset is "chat boost." The chat boost is a built-in thing that is supposed to adjust the volume in the people you're talking to's voice, to the sound in-game. While this is great in theory, I've had issues with it. While playing Modern Warfare 3, I had the game volume about 3/4 of the way up, and chat at half way. Seemingly randomly, the chat would suddenly get incredibly loud, so I'd turn it down. After doing so, it was so quiet, I couldn't hear anybody to talk. I had to do this over and over again, and it resulted in quite a bit of frustration. What I have noticed is that the lower your bass boost, the less likely this will happen. Regardless, it seems unavoidable if you're chatting with people, and it can be either a minor annoyance, or an ear-bleeding hell of an experience.

So... would I recommend this headset? Yes. Are there other and better, cheaper options? Yes. The main reason why I really prefer this headset to other Turtle Beaches, is that it just looks nice with its sleek design. I should also let you know that even though this says it's a Modern Warfare 3 headset, the only spot you can really sense that it's a Call of Duty headset is on the box on the cord, where it says Call of Duty MW3, and on the top of the headset itself, where it has Call of Duty pressed in. Overall, it's just aesthetically pleasing all-around, and the audio quality isn't too shabby either.

+: That brand new "out of the box" smell, solid sound quality, bass boost, looks pretty cool.

-: Cord is pretty freakishly long, the chat boost has its issues, may not be the best option for the price it is shop around first.

UPDATE 2/29/12: Well, after a little under two months of owning this headset, it randomly broke without warning. I put it on one day, and I was just getting cutting-in-and-out sound from both sides of the headphones. I had to go down to Best Buy to return them. Unfortunately, they don't sell these there anymore, so I settled with the X12's. While I really loved how this headset looked, sounded, and felt, I can't give it a 4 when it's as fragile as this is. Also, in case you're thinking I'm just one unlucky person, one of my friends had the same exact thing happen to him just a few days later. Due to the lack of durability, I now give the Foxtrot Headset a...

i'd say it was a good buy although the only reason i am happy is because i got $10 off because i preordered the hardened edition of the game. if you really want the headset and dont care whether it has the MW3 logos on it go buy th PX21 headset from turtlebeach, itll save you some money. First off, I say a decent buy because the Foxtrot's are basically re-skinned PX-21's with Call of Duty stamped in the headband. You can save yourself $20 or $30 if you can live without the Call of Duty edition. Also the left ear has started going out, it'll crackle and sometimes completely cut off the audio. For this I recommend the wireless ones.

I never imagined surround sound making THAT big of a difference in game quality and my play performance. These are considered the low-end turtle beaches, I can't even fathom what the $300 sets sound like. The bass boost basically amplifies footsteps of enemies. I can hear them at least 20 feet away and react by the time they round the corner. Even if people are camping, I can hear them reloading. With this headset, everyone is an easy target. Battlefield is no different, you can run but you can't hide. Turtle Beaches are just sick in general. Assassin's Creed Revalations I can hear people two or three buildings over and hunt them down with ease. Need for Speed and Forza I can distinguish which side they are trying to pass me on and cut in front.

The mic is great too. Crystal clear but loud as hell. Put it away from your face a good bit and don't yell. You don't wanna make your teammates' ears bleed.

I got these for $59.99 new from amazon. Fast shipping as always. I had to get a wired set of headphones because I was having trouble with the more expensive wireless sets causing interference. I didnt particularly want mw3 px21's which is what they basically are. But these were cheaper than the px21's and newer with a few new features.

They are very fragile especially the wire going from the left ear cup to the mini remote amp. So be aware of it and use the clip so it doesn't tug. Anyway it sounds great with my ps3. Haven't tried it with Xbox or pc.

Pros:

+ Super-sensitive mic picks up everything I say, even whispers and mumbles; this was the single biggest factor to my purchasing these to replace my previous headset, the Sharkoon X-tatic SP

+ Great sound, not overly "bass-y", and you can control the amount of bass with the Bass Boost dial

+ XBOX controller connection is compatible with the chat pad and all Rock Band/DJ Hero/Guitar Hero controllers without an adapter, unlike the Sharkoons

I don't entirely like the microphone monitoring feature. I don't personally need to hear my own voice when I'm speaking, but it is a useful reminder about whether or not you have your mic muted.

Very, very slight static hiss when plugged into USB power, which is apparently systemic to USB-powered headsets. The hiss is less noticeable here than with the Sharkoons, at least

Overall, a huge improvement over my previous headset. The group of people I play with regularly noticed a big difference in audio quality and ability to hear me. Highly recommended if you need a PC and/or 360 headset.

I just picked these up today, Aug. 16, 2011, which is when they became available. I really love the way these things sound. they are great on movies, music, and especially games. I've had the px 2's, the x11's and these are far superior. The sound is much more rich/full. Without a dss footsteps are crystal clear and no hiss or background noice. the bass boost is great too, if you really want to sound whore turn up the bass a little and those footsteps sound like stomps. I am really pleased because no matter how high i turn up the volume i don't get any distortion. The ear cups are bigger as well making them feel more comfortable than the x11's or px21's. If you liked the x11's then you'll love these. Basically if you have the x11's/px21's and they work then you dont really need these. But if your current headset has distortion or is broken or if your looking to get your first headset for gaming, I highly recommend these without a doubt. This is the best headset you can buy for under $100. Trust me i've tried them all, the plantronics, sharkoon, tritton, & a bunch of others but i just end up returning them because they dont match the quality of the turtle beaches. These headphones are the perfect gift or accesoy to any gamer who enjoys FPS games. I can have the volume as loud as i wanted without disturbing my kids or wife. I can also watch movies and even though they are wired it is long and easy to keep under controll and out of reach of little kids. They are ultra comfortable and the sound is great. I would perfer surround sound for sure but did not have enough to invest in the next grade up. the price was a little high 60.00 but it was worth it. On Call of Duty black ops i can hear enemies entering a building on the first floor while im on the second floor, not only that but i can also hear what direction it is coming from. I ultimatley decided upon the wired pair as well because i read many reviews stating the lower end wirless headphones had lots of interference in the presence of wireless products i.e. baby moniter, laptop, cell phones, and basically anything that is wirless. Bottom line great sound, decent price, and looks awesome.

This is the first pair of headphones I have invested a decent amount of money into, and needless to say I'm blown away. For $55, music has become a completely new drug for me. I have a decent pair of speakers on my computer, but having a pair of headphones that actually have decent (for the money) speakers in them really makes music so much better. Everything comes in clear and deep (I listen to a lot of electronic type music, so it's all over the place). Having the bass control is amazing as well, I honestly didn't think I'd use it, but on songs where it gets out of the range the headphones can handle bass-wise before they sound bad, I can just tune the bass down and it sounds awesome again. It really is useful.

And that was just the music. I play Skyrim, and having the music and the sound effects so close to my ears and crisp really helps set the immersion, along with it blocking out outside noises, sometimes I have to remember to stop playing and actually do something productive @_@

Durability seems good for the price, can't really say much as I haven't had the set too long, but I've dropped them about a yard from my couch onto my floor several times already (not thinking, derp) and they're ok, which I would expect for the price.

Haven't used the microphone, but if it is as sensitive as everyone says, I'm sure there is a way to turn down the sensitivity. These babies are going to make Diablo 3 unreal, can't wait!

I have researched for over three months now about what to buy. My set up requires me to play Xbox on mute most of the time which sucks, so I've been looking for some headphones to let me hear my games and not disturb anyone else. These are wonderful. I bought them along with the DSS Dolby Digital 7.1 Decoder *check my other reviews to see my thoughts on the DSS 7.1 Decoder*. I was looking for a pair that had the 7.1 (yes I know it's not "real" 7.1) built in, but I've read and heard bad things about the wireless (unless you go super-high end). The wire on this is really not a big deal and not a mess at all. The sound is phenomenal. My father works at an Acoustic Engineering firm and gave these a try and was very impressed for the price point. The sound is awesome and with the DSS makes you aware of where everything is as you move around. Understand that these are 2.1 channel speakers and Xbox only puts out 5.1 channels, so it's not true 7.1, but you won't care once you put them on. When I play an FPS I like to stand near explosions or fires and spin in circles just to hear the sounds move around in my headphones. It's not just for FPS either. I have played sports games, FPS, RPG and racing and it really puts you in the action. It's strange to take them off and realize how quiet it is in the room with how much sound those things really pump into your ears. The separate controls for chat and game are great and the bass boost really does make a difference. My first try with them was 3+ hours and they were never uncomfortable or required readjustment--they just feel nice.

I would highly suggest the wired version and if you want to move past the RCA outputs on the Xbox, get the DSS decoder (it has an optical input)--the sound is digital and you won't believe what you've been missing through TV speakers. I was a skeptic for a long time and have tried many of my friends and relatives various headsets (Tritton 360, Turtle Beach X41, and the new Tritton Trigger) this was better than all of them. For what I paid, you can't beat this product. If you've been on the fence about it, just get it. If you have been debating it, just get it. If you need to keep the place quiet and don't want to miss out on the mind numbing sounds, just get it. These are awesome.

I was excited to get this game since I loved the first Mech Assault so much, but single player mode does not live up to its predecessor. The boss fights, which were non-existant in Mech Assault, were pretty cool, and very difficult. The game play overall was harder, and especially the mortar. When you are in battle suit mode, you have a shoulder-mounted heavy mortar that is very difficult to aim, and in the final boss fight, you need to aim precisely with it.

Apparently this game really shines in when you are playing with other people online. There are not one, but TWO multiplayer modes. Unfortunately, I cannot get onto XBox live with a V1 X-Box, so I did not get to enjoy the multiplayer modes.

MechAssault 2 Lone Wolf brings us yet another game of fun robot driving. You get a wide range of robots, as well as a few types of gameplay.

The graphics are reather nice from the large explosions to the lightning-zaps of your weapons. You stomp around, gathering up supplies, blowing up everything that is around you.

However, where the previous game trapped you in your robotic shell, now you can climb out and get into other vehicles and tanks. You can lay down bombs to take out your enemies. This might seem like a cool feature but it usually ends up with your frail human skeleton being squashed like a bug.

You can go online for traditional deathmatch battle, as well as a team MMORPG type of environment where you can go for more long term goals.

I have mixed emotions about the "expansion" from traditional mech gameplay. I understand that they're trying to give people more options, but the game really is quite unforgiving to you when you're out of your metal shell.

Luckily, they don't make you do that TOO often, and if you can just grit and bear it through those parts, the rest of the game really does reward with a lot of destructions and stamping around through a variety of landscapes.

Still, I would really love for MechAssault 3 to focus more on the large mech battles, and perhaps just provide a stronger plot line, better voice acting, and a truly immersive mech world. That would be my Mech Dream.

I bought this game because I heard great things about the original mechassault. i didnt buy the original because it doesnt work on the xbox 360. i have played the first before and i think that the first is way better than the second. In the first game, you could choose your mech before the mission. in the second you either start in a mech that you didnt choose, in some new battle armor that is almost useless against other mechs (besides a new hijacking feature that i'll get to later), or as a human. The part were you get to walk around as a human might sound coll but you are VERY weak and you walk around in a lot of missions. it get very annoying and kind of ruins some of the gameplay. you can also drive tanks but they cant do much against other mechs, only other tanks and helicopters. the battle armor is also annoying, it is also pretty weak and the only real thing you can do is hijack(they call it neurohack in the game) what you do is latch on to a mech and a little icon pops up telling you to press certain buttons. if can press all the buttons i tells you the mech falls over and you can get into it. IF you dont die before geting to the mech and it doesnt turn on sheilds. the multiplayer is really fun. i havent played on xbox live but on a local console. if you play team destruction(two teams fight against each other to get points) or any other team game you can get in VTOLS. if you dont know what VTOL stands for its like a hover craft ship thing. at each base there is a landing pad. there you can choose upgrades to drop off to your friends, upgrades for your VTOL and bombs. bombs are devastating against other mechs they can really help out your friends. over all it is a pretty good game. i gave it 4 stars because the campaign is fun but not great. if your buying it for xbox live i want you to know nobody plays it anymore. i know the other reviews say it is really fun on xbox live but you wont be able to play in with other people online. so dont buy it for the online multiplayer

BEST KIRBY GAME BY FAR!

KSSU is everything Superstar on the SNES was but add in NICER graphics,

some new Boss Themes, "Revenge Of The King", "MetaKnightmare Ultra","True Arena", "Helper To Hero", NEW Bosses, 3 Touchscreen Mini Games, some nice cutscene movies on top of everything that's already there and you got yourself an EVEN more incredible Kirby game!

Seriously, I don't think I have anything bad to say about KSSU. It's just THAT good. Yeah, the games go by rather quick and it's not insanely difficult but trust me you will be kept entertained for hours on end trying to get that oh so perfect 100% rating on your game file! I know

KSSU is a enhanced remake of the Super Nintendo game Kirby Super Star with similar graphics to the recent Kirby Squeak Squad. Super Star was a collection of short bite sized versions of the normal Kirby games and each game slightly tweaks the traditional Kirby gameplay. In the other Kirby games (except the original Kirby's Dream Land) Kirby can copy powers from most enemies but one hit will knock that power out of you. In most of these games it takes multiple hits to lose a power and powers have different effects depending if you are moving, jumping, charged up, etc. Also for the first time in a Kirby game there are full 3D cutscenes.

All of the main games and one of the minigames from the original are included in addition to a few new games. Here is a brief description of the games included.

Spring Breeze: This is made up of screens and bosses from the first Kirby game, Dream Land. There is also a two player mode, with player two as a helper.

Dyna Blade: An original adventure similar to SB in gameplay, but with a world map.

The Great Cave Offensive: There are 60 (somewhat) hidden items to collect. There are some fun Nintendo items to find like a Koopa shell, the Triforce, and Captain Falcon's helmet.

Gourmet Race: A race with King Dedede. You are trying to collect more food and get to the finish line before the King.

Revenge of Meta Knight: A timed game where you are trying to destroy Meta Knight's ship the Halberd. (You may recognize it from a board in Super Smash Bros. Brawl) Other crew members of the ship have increasingly concerned and amusing conversations as you progress.

Milky Way Wishes: You can't copy powers in this game, rather you have to find pedestals with powers on them. After collecting the powers you can freely switch at any time.

Arena: You fight all of the bosses.

The new games are:

Revenge of the King: Quasi-sequel to Spring Breeze. It is the same game with harder enemies and some level changes.

Meta Knightmare Ultra: Play the five main original games as Meta-Knight. MK can't copy powers, but has special moves that cost points that you get after defeating enemies.

Helper to Hero: Arena, but you play as a powered enemy instead of Kirby.

There are also a few mini-games: Samurai Kirby, Kirby Card Swipe, Kirby on the Draw, and Snack Tracks. (Samurai Kirby was in the SNES game, the others are new.) They really are nothing special, but they can be played with up to four players.

Together these games make up a great game collection, but all of them are very easy and quite short. If you liked the original KSS, you will like this game. A bit more of a challenge to the game would have been better, but I would easily recommend this to any DS owner.

Best Deals for Kirby Super Star Ultra

If you enjoyed the original super star, this game will not disappoint! It has six ace levels, including Dynablade and Spring Breeze, not to mention three sub games. The main concept is to suck up foes and copy abilities, then use these to fight other enemies, such as King Dedede and Sir Meta Knight. Another great feature is the ability to make friends which will fight along side you. Or you can connect with real friends. Having adventures in groups is better then exploring on your own!

I enjoyed the cute character design that is typical for Japanese anime games [those who have seen the anime 'Hoshi no Kirby'[known in the USA as Kirby!Right Back at Ya!] will recognize some of the characters] and the happy feeling this game gives you, with its bright colors and eye-catching designs!

One thing that bothers me is the easiness of the levels, and how quickly you can finish the game. Still, it's a great buy, especially for children under the age of 12. A must buy for Kirby fans!

When my 7 year old son says he has to have a new DS game, I can't help but think of the games that remain untouched and forgotten on his shelf. With this edition of Kirby, however, I have no worries. A Christmas present: he plays it everyday and then proceeds to tell me about every level or adventure Kirby encounters. The kid talks of nothing else. I come home from work and his first words to me are "You know what, Dad, in Kirby . . . "

I've never played the game, but in the heart and soul of my little guy, Kirby trumps Mario, Sonic, and Pokemon.

Rayman Raving Rabbids for the PC is not a platform adventure game like the previous games in the Rayman franchise, it is more like Mario Party in the sense that it consists entirely of mini games. So if you are looking for a platform adventure game, this may not be the right choice for you. However, if you don't mind trying something different, it is very likely that you will enjoy yourself.

The story of RRR is that you (Rayman) are captured by these creatures called Rabbids, and you are forced to complete 5 tasks each day in a sort of gladiator style arena. You can only save after you have completed each day, so if you have only completed half of the day's tasks, your progress will not be saved unless you beat the rest of the tasks in one sitting. Also, you cannot play any of the mini games in multiplayer until you have beaten the game in the Story mode. While this can be frustrating at first, it gives you incentive to beat the Story mode.

Some of the games themselves are not so great. Games where you have to tap buttons repeatedly or slam joysticks back and forth get really old really fast, and I have no desire to replay those games after I beat them in story mode.

Fortunately, most of the mini games are really fun to play, and on top of that, the Rabbids are absolutely hilarious. Ubisoft did a really good job making a creature that is consistantly funny and rarely annoying. I would recommend that you use a gamepad to play the games, because otherwise it may seem a little easy with the mouse and keyboard. Also, if you have multiple gamepads, you can play with friends in the Score mode, which is where this game really shines.

NOTE: If you have an Xbox 360 Controller, it works GREAT with this game, and Ubisoft is one of the first companies to truly support it. (It also works well in Rainbow Six Vegas on the PC) It also supports other Logitech controllers that I have.

The problem with this game is that it was designed for Nintendo Wii, and Ubisoft ported this version poorly to the PC. There are many bugs; some of which make the game unplayable. For example, when I ran this game on my computer, it would speed up and slow down randomly, making some of the mini games impossible. I was able to fix this bug by changing the power scheme on my laptop from "Portable/Laptop" to "Home/Office Desk" in the control panel. Once this was fixed, the game seems to work a lot better. It took a while for me to figure out how to fix it, I was required to search through forums online to figure out what to do to get it working.

The graphics are pretty good, but I couldn't get the game to run well on "Very Detailed" mode, which is strange because I have a top of the line Alienware system that should be able to run that mode.

All in all, Rayman Raving Rabbids is great fun and would be good not just for kids, but also for teens and adults too. If you can't tolerate fixing bugs, you may want to wait and see if a patch will be released concerning problems with the PC version. Otherwise, If you need a break from typical action, puzzle or adventure games, Rayman is a unique experience that will definitely give you a few laughs along the way.

If you have a platform I would *STRONGLY* recommend you buy it for that instead of for XP. My first copy of the disk gave errors during the install (bad disk).

The second copy worked to install and then I had problems with jade enr.exe crashing on game start. Since on the Ubisoft forums 15000 other people viewed this topic before it was closed I'm sure this is quite common. I followed the instructions online (basically cracking my legally bought disk) to get it working.

I thought my problems were over until I started playing. The game can't do simple math. In several of the games it adds up the score wrong making it impossible to beat several of the games.

I've contacted Ubisoft several times and received nothing of use back. There is no mention of future patches to fix the problem or even anything to fix the issue. This is the last Ubisoft game I'll buy until they improve their quality.

Check out the forums at Ubisoft regarding this game. You'll see how many problems their are.

It has levels that are the exact same games only that get harder. So it feels a bit like watching paint dry after you go up 6 levels but it is still funny in a boy crude way (I'm a mom and I like it ;) ) but it just needed to be different on the way up. I have a little more than half to go and I gave up even after my 8 yr. old gave up on like level 4 because I got boring. I still think it's funny though but it gets played just after it has been a few months and I kind of forgot about it and I'm bored enough to make myself try to see if want to go farther. It's not even because it's too challenging it's just a slight boredom issue. It's pretty cute though so, ehhhhhh, tough call here. I certainly would have been mad if I didn't get it for dirt cheep but I got it for cheep enough.

First skateboarding game I played was Tony Hawks, 1&2. The best skateboarding game of its time. Decided to take a look at the Skate 2 demo (mind you, I've never played Skate 1). I was BLOWN AWAY. Tony Hawk, move aside, Skate 2 is the new and improved kid in town! I shortly bought it after not getting enough from the demo. Well worth the money. What a revolutionary title! Forever more, skate 2 is gonna be known as the skateboard game that changed it all. No longer do you get to add stats to your player (speed, Air, jump, etc) everyone is on an equal playing level. If someone else can pull off an amazing trick/jump/flip, I can do it too. Anything is possible! There are little challenges and what not, but honestly, if this game came without the challenges, I would be happy. I just do them to do them. The people over at EA really did a good job with the city design. You will never get bored cause there is always something new to attept. Recommended! You won't regret it.

so rarely do we see a sequel so true to the original yet better in every way. Skate 2 takes the basic mechanics of the original and creates what is possibly the best skateboarding game ever, but to be fair to the times, the early years of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater are legendary.

Graphically theres little to complain about, great character models, great lighting effects, and generally great use of textures, aside from most foliage and some lackluster water effects everything looks solid. the bruising/body damage from bails is nicely implemented as well.

the game controls just like the original with that fantastic analog control. if you havent played it, the let stick controls the skater, and the right trick controls the board for ollies, manuals, flip tricks, ect. similar to the ideas behind NHL 08/09 and Fight Night Round 3. and dont forget the replay editor. gameplay can be paused at any time to edit your replays. you can change camera angles/styles and the speed at which each clip in the video plays. any of your replays can be uploaded for all to see.

Create a Spot you can now, at any time, pause gameplay and create a box to designate the trick area, set the score on given ramp/gap/rail/ect, and upload it for all to see and compete for the high score.

challenges/activities abound from tournaments and races to individual spot contests, competing for the best trick. they even added online for this one, all the styles of activities available in career can be chosen for online competition, as well as online freeskate with your friends. unfortunately all online modes are limited to certain areas, so you can forget traversing the whole city with your friends GTA IV style. a small complaint. actually my only real complaint about the whole game.

the soundtrack is great too, varying from oldschool rap to modern rap, classic rock to modern metal.

on top of all that Skate 2 features one of the most advanced physics engines in any game except maybe GTA IV (why didnt that have a replay editor?!) every bail is unique to the situation. everything moves as it should whether you're nailing a grab over a staircase or slamming into a knee high steel gate.

all in all its slated to be one of the best sports games of 2009, right up there with Fight Night Round 4 in terms of respective quality. it could be one of the best games all year period.

I'm going to compare this game a good bit to Stoked a snowboarding game. The reason for this comparison is that they both came out at nearly the same time, they both have received similar reviews and scores, and they both use similar control schemes. Lastly, there are some things in common between snowboarding and skateboarding.

I purchased Stoked and ultimately Skate 2 because I was looking for something different. I was tired of driving games, shooting games, and there were no good RPG's on the horizon. I needed a change.

I bought Stoked because it was $10 cheaper. Bad mistake. I rented Skate 2, and ended up trading in Stoked (and a few other games) to purchase Skate 2.

The controls between both games are similar. Left stick "steers," right stick controls jumps and pivots and tricks. Of course in Skate you can push yourself around, in Stoked well, you're just sliding down a mountain.

Skate 2 wins the comparo for a bunch of reasons. San Vanelona is a living town with pedestrians, traffic, security, and other skateboarders. Stoked takes place on a relatively-lifeless mountain, with some stationary onlookers at various "trick spots." Skate 2 is a "sandbox" oriented, whereas Stoked though certainly not linear, still only lets you slide down the mountain, restart, and slide down the mountain again. If you miss a trick in Skate, you simply push yourself (or walk a welcomed addition to the game no matter how awkward the controls) back up the hill and try again. You can even set a "waypoint" at the start of a hill, railing, obstacle, etc and with the press of two buttons, return to the waypoint to try again. If you miss a trick in Stoked, you have to restart at the top of the hill, FIND the area you were in, and try again.

The control schemes seem a little easier in Skate at least until you scan through the trick guide. Stoked is all about holding a button and moving the right stick in a certain direction. It basically requires memorizing a lot of button combos, or pausing frequently to check the instruction book. Skate 2 relies on a similar structure, but most of your stunts are done by moving the right stick in a specific pattern. The good news is that you'll often do A trick. It may not be what you WANTED to do, but you'll get points at least. I have not yet run into challenges were a very specific trick was required, though I have read that this may occur later. Skate 2 seems a bit easier to play as you can "fudge" your way through the challenges a bit easier, being creative as opposed to just checking off a list of required stunts.

As someone who is entirely new to the Skate series, and skateboarding games in general, I found Skate 2 very easy to get started in and enjoy. Moving around is very easy and intuitive. Learning the basics like ollies and grinds was very easy, and let me get a decent way into the game before I had to broaden my horizons. I also like how advancing through the game opens up "contacts" which allow you to do things like draining pools, removing "traps" that inhibit skating, and even requesting a little "muscle" to help with security. The various missions and "spot" challenges can be pretty fun, and though often times they require multiple attempts to succeed, somehow it never becomes very frustrating. I'm not a big fan of doing things over and over again, but maybe because it all happens pretty quickly, you can run the same challenge many times in a single minute especially with the "waypoint" system mentioned above. I cannot tell you how easy that makes Skate 2 to play.

As fun as the challenges and missions and side-jobs can be, simply zipping around San Van is a lot of fun in itself. It's really a welcome changed in a sandbox game to be able to entertain yourself without shooting people or worrying about health or a "wanted level." Many times I'll find a railing that I want to practice grinding on, or a ramp that I want to practice jumping from. Drained swimming pools are incredible fun for flipping, grabbing ledges, grinding, etc. Skate 2 also gives you an awesome feel for your height, your speed, and your frequent-impending doom when you realize halfway to the ground that "this one isn't going to go so well..." But even the wrecks pay off though with the "Thrasher Hall of Meat," which adds a hilarious and even profitable twist onto bone-snapping crashes and accidents. Wiping out in Skate 2 makes me laugh over and over again. Never before has failure been so much fun.

Skate 2 is a great game that encourages creativity and is packed with lots of different things to do. It's entry-level access is great for new players and old fans alike. The controls could be a little tighter, the walking technique could be greatly improved, but most of the nuisances become pretty insignificant when you catch that air and nail the landing.

I love this game, the story offers many paths from doing danny way 100 foot gaps to draining pools and uncapping rails. I love the graphics and physics of this game, also the swing stick trick ability is wonderful. The online modes whether they're ranked or freeskate offer flexibility and fun to anyone who enjoys pulling backflips and quad-heelflips. I bought this game knowing nothing about the skate series, and it will never leave my game room, absolutely amazing game, 5/5.

The first SKATE never really stuck with me I got 1/2 way through and found that the environment and mechanics got stale. Now it might be that I never truly got the hang of the controls the first time around (partially true), whatever the case I just didn't find myself coming back time and again as I expected. The new SKATE game feels entirely the opposite, the layout of SV is an addictive blast, the easier to use PLACE a MARKER feature is an essential for the forgiving restart event system that has you trying every challenge one more time until you check it off. The controls are finely tuned and really the heart of the game, truck adjustments really make a difference if you are turning too loosely or vice versa. And the flick system opens up simply and then just keeps getting better as you perfect the usual set of fliptricks,grabs etc.. and really feels good as things like manuals,footplants,hippy jumps,caveman drops,skitching fall into place naturally within the control system. Most satisfying of all is the double handed tuck down steep runs. The thrasher hall of meat is back and wrecks are a twisted affair as you can send your skater flailing on purpose into all sorts of gory mayhem. The challenges feel like older skating titles at times but offer the right amount of reward and challenge level for the most part as well as a nice amount of variety, street races etc. The details are all top notch with a soundtrack that almost feels played rather than old school, SFX and voice over work are above average though. I am not a big fan of the SECURITY GUARDS that police parts of the game and the collision system with them can be buggy, (it is the only place I have had the game freeze on me).The character builder also really makes a pretty goofy looking face no matter what you do. But with controls like this who cares, just kicking around this game for awhile can be an ultra addictive experience This one is so good I wish I could try the online offerings out but as it is the single player is more than worth it.

This headset is not worth your time. It works okay but its really hard to hear other people even on full volume. I guess the mic works okay but I feel if you can't hear the people very well it doesn't meet my needs. I constantly have to say "what was that again?" or some other variation, though I have yet to test it over multiplayer, I've only used it for private chat. Its been about 2 days since I've had it.

Buttons all look great and work fine after some work. The Y button was a little too big, and would stick in the opening. Also the tabs at the base were slightly off center on the same Y button. A little sand paper on fixed the sticking, and cut the tab down a little. Nothing major, but enough that I give it a 4 out of 5. I would buy this item again.

I purchased this to upgrade the looks of my wireless controller and it did a great job at that! The only complaint I have about it is the "Y" button stuck when I installed it. It needed to be sanded down some to make it work, but lucky for me the stock "Y" button is already an orange-ish color. The stock button looks identical to the aftermarket buttons. All in all I would recommend this product. It all fits very nicely in the controller and really upgrades the look for a very fair price.

She was one of the first non-starter figures I'd gotten, and I'm glad I made the choice. She starts off as a fast up-close fighter with fast striking abilities, with a secondary ability that acts part ways like stealth and part ways like deception with scarecrow dopplegangers (basically, she's a ninja elf).

Later on, you can either upgrade her to be either a better melee fighter (with nasty combo moves, better weapons, and floating blades), or make her scarecrows (typically a passive ability) more deadly (SPINNING SAW BLADES!).

She's very good as a playable character, overall. Only weakness is her defense (But do you expect a stealth character to have great defense? Really?).

The Stealth Elf falls under the Life element. Her main attack is a close range almost melee like attack with her blades. The attack is quick but the drawback is how close to the enemies you have to be in order to use it. Her secondary attack is to create a "decoy" of herself. She projects herself conintuing in the path she was moving prior to activating the move. The player can see where she actually is by following the two glowing dots on the screen which are her eyes. So far all enemies I have encountered have fallen for the decoy. Using this move and following it by striking an enemy results in a "combo" move.

I think there's a good reason why Stealth Elf is one of the more popular Skylanders. It's because she's so overpowered, that you could just press the X button in a pattern as you walk through the whole level, and you'd probably make it through without taking any damage. I'm not joking eitherStealth Elf is one of the most broken characters I've ever seen in my nearly 25 years of playing games. Orlandu from Final Fantasy Tactics, Fawkes from Fallout 3, Coo from Kirby's Dreamland 2? Yeah, she's right up there with them.

Stealth Elf's two basic attacks are pretty simple at first. Holding the square button turns her invisible (well, you can see her glowing eyes), allowing her to run past enemies undetected. The X button makes her slash about with her daggers, and you can keep hitting the enemy with this attack to create combos. The upgrade paths for both powers are good, but it's the dagger upgrades that make Ms. Elf an unstoppable force. On top of being able to power up the power of the dagger attacks, you can get ghost daggers that float above Stealth Elf at all times, attacking enemies whenever you do, allowing for even more damage. Simply put...the bad guys aren't going to have a chance to touch you, because by the time their attack finally comes out, they'll be dead. As if the ghost daggers weren't enough, an upgrade for this path gives her two more moves for combos. Press X twice and then hold the square button to shoot poison mist, or hold the circle button to do a crazy attack that results in Stealth Elf flying all over the place (within a small area), scoring multiple hits. The circle button on its own, once you get the power, does a jumping spin attack, useful for getting out of corners in the rare chance that this happens.

If you choose to upgrade the invisibility power, it just ups the strength of her scarecrowsdecoys that are deployed while you make your escape. These are useful in their own right, but kinda useless if you play against another person in the Battle Mode, and it pales to the dagger upgrades.

But you know what? On top of dealing insane damage, Stealth Elf also gets probably the single best Soul Gem power: healing. Yep, Stealth Elf will recover 5 hit points every couple seconds, making it pretty dang hard for her to be killed...more-so. The only downside to this is that you'll constantly be hearing a stupid sound effect when the +5 icon appears above her, but it's a small price to pay.

If you're having trouble with a level or boss in the game, or want to get that All For One trophy/achievement, Stealth Elf will take care of everything for you.

Stealth Elf was the first non-starter character I purchased and she's still one of my favorites. She's quick and once you get the hang of using her stealth and scarecrows you can really deal some damage. All of her attacks are close range so be aware of that and if you aren't use to using her you'll take some damage. She's my favorite Life character so far. Not to mention she's one of the more awesome looking characters as well.

Bioshock Infinite is one of the greatest games ever. I bought the season pass hoping for more great content with the 3 DLCs it promised.

The first one came out and it's merely a battle arena... while it's fun Bioshock wasn't great because of the gameplay but the story and how you felt immersed in the game. So in my opinion it was a cop out DLC.

The Burial of the Sea Part 1 is so short its not even worth playing. I assume when Part 2 comes out it will be a great DLC...however I really feel like breaking them off into parts is a cop-out for creating content for the people that purchased the season pass.

So buy it if you'd like just know you are really getting 1 worthwhile DLC even though it advertises more.

Cheap Condemned: Criminal Origins

First off, I will say that I have not been as genuinely frightened since playing F.E.A.R. Condemned's atmosphere provides enough fear, it doesn't need to rely on the "Boo!" tactics of games such as Doom 3.

The storyline is captivating, although the end leaves a bit to be desired. Some things go unexplained; I'm hoping that means a sequel is in store.

The gameplay is very nice, and the rough melee action leaves you a twisted satisfaction nothing quite like slashing someone with a meat cleaver :).

Some of the complaints people had were 'the enemies look the same' and 'it was too short.' The first of these complaints I would not agree with. Some enemies are recycled late in the game, but it certainly didn't make it any less fun. The length of the game, however, was slightly disappointing. Although, I suppose I would rather have a very fun 10 hour game than a mediocre 15 hour game.

All in all, a VERY underrated game. I strongly recommend this for all gamers.

Condemned has to be one of the more screwed up games I've played in the last years...Actually, until now, this would be one of the first bizarre games I've played. It's about a serial killer who is playing around with the police by committing a series of brutal murders. These people who were killed were not random people, no, they were other serial killers. You are an FBI Agent (Ethan Thomas) who is sent in to track a serial killer down by unraveling the clues he leaves behind. With the story, you encounter a lot of other beings who are unexplainably deranged and they come at you with either a pipe ripped from the inside of an old wall or a piece of thick wood with rusty nails sticking out of it. You usually only find guns on occassion, but you mainly do whatever you can to survive...You use a pipe, big pieces of wood with either nails or bolts sticking out of them, or anything else from big signs or boards. You beat the living hell out of anything and everything that comes at you to stay alive and keep coming closer to the truth behind this killer. That isn't it though, you discover more about yourself (the character you play in the game) and learn that you've had exams with a doctor and he finds some abnormalities in your brain, but I'll stop at that. You begin to go a little bit insane yourself as you keep seeing this strange monster-looking being in black and white illusions...All the way to the end. This game gets into your skin. People often compare this game to FEAR because it uses the FEAR engine (which I don't think it does, but I could be wrong). Don't compare this game to FEAR because they are not the same. Overall, an interesting game.

The the first thing this game reminded me of was Doom 3. It's dark, creepy and there are bad guys who sneak up on you and all that good happy stuff. But then again, this game is nothing like Doom 3 because I actually enjoyed it. You're an FBI dude and you are investigating a killing when a bunch of crazy stuff starts happening and that's all I'm going to say so as not to give it all away. Now that we got that over and done with, the action in this game is brutal! You're only allowed one weapon at a time and you can't save ammo either. Creepy homeless crackheads will come up to you, reach over into the wall, pull out 2x4s and start trying to bash your head in and you'll have to do the same thing to them if you want to survive. The story behind this game is really pretty cool, but there are some loose ends left open when you finish it. The game also isn't very long, I believe it took me about 14 hours to finish, but it was still very fun and I enjoyed every minute of it. Overall, this is a good game if you want something with a slightly different take on the way the action in a game should be and if you want something dark, creepy and attention grabbing.

Condemned: Criminal Origins was unlike any FPS/Survival horror game I've ever played. It wasn't a run and gun nor was it a typical limited ammo survival game. It was more like a run from your enemies and make every swing/bullet count type of game. The story starts out pretty straight forward, you're an FBI agent framed for murder by an unknown serial killer. As you progress through the story there are some twists and turns making things a somewhat convoluted but still understandable. The story however isn't what the key part of the game is but rather the combat. It's probably the most brutal and realistic game I've ever played when it comes to melee combat. Not for the player who is turned off by violence and in your face scares. Here's my take;

Pros

+ Extremely scary and creepy atmosphere. I play a lot of survival horror and FPS games and I honestly don't think I've jumped/gasped/let out startled yells this much since I played the Silent Hill series. It's also the first game I've played where I've never been so afraid of an enemy with a gun. (If an enemy has a gun, get to them as quick as you can and get it out of their hands. Not only will you live longer but you'll be able to pick up more bullets as they won't be wasting them on trying to kill you.)

+ Excellent ambient music and atmospheric sounds. Once again very Silent Hillesque with everything from whispered voices, screams, banging noises and labored breathing. The gun sounds are also very realistic. Do yourself a favor and play with all lights off and the sound turned up to fully experience what the game has to offer.

+ Brutal melee combat. The combat is unforgiving and violent. You really feel like you're fighting for your own life against your attackers. They're absolutely merciless forcing you to tap into a primal urge just to survive.

+ Insanely clever AI. Opponents will flank, use cover, gang up and outmaneuver you in any way they can. I've honestly never seen a game with enemies so clever it turns you into the poor AI that many games normally have.

+ Superb and realistic physics. The way enemies attack and react to blows is amazing almost to the point of disturbing. I'd flinch EVERY time an enemy hit me with a pipe or some other object as you could almost feel it.

+ Vast array of weapons or items to use as weapons. Everything from pipes, nail studded 2x4's, electrical conduit tubes, sledgehammers, fire axes and the occasional pistol or shotgun.

+ Great graphics especially the environments and character models. The graphics did take a slight dip when it came to facial close ups during cut-scenes however and could have been a bit smoother.

+ Hallucination scenes (very similar to those in F.E.A.R.) were tense and spooky. One in particular still sticks out in my mind which was in Bart's Department store. There was a sequence where you would hallucinate and constantly be surrounded by mannequins. It may not sound like much but it was incredibly creepy.

+ Decent voice acting. Greg Grunberg (aka Matt Parkman the police officer from the TV show Heroes) does the voice acting for Ethan Thomas, the FBI agent you play.

Character movement was a bit too slow even when you were supposedly sprinting/running. And when you'd hit a section of stairs you stopped sprinting and walked up them normally. It would have helped to be able to move a bit faster but perhaps it was the developer's intention to add to the tension of the game.

No jumping or crouching. These two options seem to be an industry standard in any FPS game and Condemned had neither. It wasn't a game breaking issue but it was frustrating when you're being shot at or are trying to get over an object. It made the game feel a bit too linear for my tastes.

Repetitive level design. Even though you may be in a subway station, office building or department store they all felt the same despite the fact they were totally different environments.

Story became somewhat disjointed and confusing at times.

Tool use to collect evidence felt a bit too forced. More freedom using these tools would have been preferable.

All in all this was a great game a something quite different for a change. In an industry plagued with plodding FPS' this was a welcome and enjoyable surprise. I would highly recommend giving it a try if you're into the genre's of Survival Horror, FPS or CSI style games. I do have to confess that it took me a while to finish this game because I could only play it in small sessions. The stress of the scare factor got to be a bit much at times and as I said I love survival horror games. Just keep in mind it's not for the timid or faint of heart!

This is a great game in its own right, with 24-player online matches, fully destructible environments, and a full range of land, sea, and air vehicles in very large maps. All of these things are very impressive for a console, but may be nothing too exciting for fans of the older Battlefield games on the PC.

It may take a little while just to get used to the game, but it can be a lot of fun once you get into it. The game overall isn't as clean or realistic as Call of Duty 4, but you really have to keep in mind that they're trying to bring a lot more to the table, whereas COD4 focused on perfecting a few key aspects of the gameplay. Those are two really different approaches to game development, and so it's really not fair to compare the two directly.

With that said, however, the controls and aiming don't feel nearly as sharp or responsive as they should, and this can get frustrating when you're trying to frantically maneuver your vehicle out of harm's way or land a shot on the guy in the tiny window across the village.

It'll be a little while before you pick up on the full range of things you can actually do in the game (tagging enemy vehicles with tracer rounds so that your buddy can lock onto it with a rocket launcher, for instance, or deploying smoke from your tank to cover your retreat). That's when things really get fun (and you stop dying as much). Online matches tend to descend into chaos rather quickly, but if you find some friends to play with and stick together, the cooperative aspects of the gameplay really shine through and can make for a very rewarding experience.

In conclusion, there are a few areas for improvement, but it's a very good multiplayer game in its own right, and it's definitely worth checking out (especially if you're new to the series).

I think this game is better than any of the COD games. No infinite enemies spawning, not as linear, great graphics, big environment and most everything blows up. Co-Op would be a big plus with all the vehicles, etc..I am going Live because of this game.

I've never played this game online, but I can say without hesitation that the single player campaign is one of the funnest I have ever played. The sound effects are top notch (there really aren't enough good things to be said for this part of the game), the graphics are beautifully rendered (as are the havoc and destruction you'll create), and the storyline and characters are all humorous and engaging. If you're interested in arcade-type first person shooters that emphasize thrills over realism then this is absolutely the game for you.

Battlefield Bad Company is a FPS for the XBOX 360, This is an open world combat game similar to Medal of Honor Airborne and Frontlines Fuels of War. But most people feel that it must be compared to Call Of Duty 4, which of course is the best FPS on the 360.

Playing the single player campaign in Bad Company has you fighting alongside a squad of three AI (artifical intelligence). Unfortunately, your AI sqaudmates are practically brain dead! They will stand out in the open and not shoot back at the enemies. The enemy AI are shooting hailstorms of bullets at you but seldomly attack the AI squadmates on your team. This shoddy programming takes away from the realism and makes the game feel cheesy and low budget.

Since your sqaudmates are useless, that you will have to take it upon yourself to get into the combat and mission objectives. Many of the missions have intense firefights and are pretty straight foreward. The maps are very massive and open for the most part. This open world combat lets you devise your own plan of attack which is an excellent experience in itself. There are plenty of weapon pickups and checkpoints which automatically save your progress. If you get killed, you just respawn from the last checkpoint you passed.

The levels use streaming technology which means no loading times when going from one part of the map to the next. The levels also are persistant which means that whatever destruction you caused or enemies you killed; they remain the same and DO NOT reset after you get killed. The best thing about Bad Company is the destructiblility. Trees, containers, vehicles, and walls can be destroyed. The graphics and sound effects do a good job of conveying the chaos from this destruction.

There are two game mode type for multiplayer online. The mode called, "Gold Rush" allows up to (12) players on each team. The defending team protects the gold crates, while the attacking team tries to destroy them by either planting a charge on the crates or simply shooting at them till they blow up. Gold Rush, is so much fun that it should be renamed to "Head Rush".

Recently the game's developer, made Conquest mode available as a free download. Conquest plays like a cross between capture the flag and territories. It uses four pre-existing maps that have been modified to fit its style of gameplay. It is a nice addition to the overall package.

Here's a small taste of what you should expect to see during the matches:

Mortars shower from above, attack choppers dominate from the air, battle tanks destroy by ground, artillary strikes are awesome, air strikes have lethal precision. All the while lots of small skirmishes are taking place-Specialists running around with their silenced smg, Demolitionist blasting with their shotguns, Snipers killing from afar, Support providing suppressive fire and Assualt soldiers aggressively attacking everyone.

Despite some of its flaws, the chaotic battles, destructive environments, and amazing sound effects make Battlefield Bad Company an enjoyable experience for FPS fans. It is not a perfect game by any means and it probably won't topple COD4, but Bad Company certainly is one of the best open world combat games available for the XBOX 360.

hands down, this is the best FPS this year, the only one i expect to be better is Farcry 2. im a sucker for open-ended sandbox style gameplay, and this one delivers, the levels are HUGE and your options for victory are only limited by your imagination. that enemy tank getting your down? just call in an airstrike. dont have that equipment? find some c4, make a quick pass by the tank, dropping it as you run, and watch the firewors! this game is a total blast, its the most pure fun ive had with a shooter since Bioshock.

for the first time in a Battlefield game, you actually have a great single player game, the story and characters really are well done, even if your teammates are living cliches. basically your squad of four consists of the lowest outcasts of the army, who are there either there to shorten a jail sentance or shorten their required time served. they fight on the front lines, usually alone, and with some quick wits(and big guns) you can conquer a small army! which brings me to my next point and one of the very few negatives in the game, in many cases online or off, the most important factor is not skill, but who has the biggest guns, not that skill isnt immensely important, because it is. if you dont know the game, the online regulars will tear you apart and spit you back out before you realize your dead. the fantastic single player will get you acquainted fast though.

as of right now, the online only has one match type, Gold Rush, which plays similar to capture the flag, only on a much larger scale with multilple control points. the classic Conquest mode will be added for free download in the next couple months.

a big factor is the destructible environments, and it delivers. mostly. i have a few complaints regarding the environmental distruction. if i can destroy nearly any wall, why are floors completely invincible? and if my tank can plow through a wall, why does it get stuck on the most pesky little things?(small rocks, framework, a BATHTUB haha).. nothing game-breaking, but it gets pretty annoying driving vehicles in towns/bases.

on-foot, fps controls are similar to COD4 with the steady-aim/zoom in on the left trigger. the only major difference is the placement of the duck button, here its RS instead of B. not the the game itself feels AT ALL like COD4, and it isnt trying to in the leased. this game is carrying on the Battlefield tradition, and oh man is it a worthy follow up. i cant stress enough how great this game is, just take my word for it, and buy it now
