My PS3 controller crapped the bed leaving me looking for a new one fast. I hit up target and saw this. Coming from an avid 360 player i was sold on looks alone. When I got it home I found that there was way more than meets the eye. Not only does it have the same ascetics as the 360 controller, its not as heavy. It has the rubberized paint that gives it a nice grip. The PS3 button actually turns on the PS3 unlike a lot of other 3rd party controllers and now for the game changer. There is a switch on the bottom of the controller that when flipped reverses your triggers and bumpers... So L1 is actually L2 and R1 is actually R2.... For those that have never played a 360 having the fire and aim buttons as the actual triggers and not the top bumpers is awesome. Turbo feature is good, and at first i noticed some dead-zones in the sticks. But you can download a firmware patch from your PC right to the controller and it fixes it right up.

Pro's its a sold all around controller and worth it.

Con's the battery's are AAA, there was supposed to be a rechargeable pack released by the company but I have yet to see one.

So make sure you have some batteries on hand, but it does have good batter life usually lasts 2 days for me playing 5 / 6 hours a day.

For FPS games I prefer the "360" layout of the thumbsticks, and that is something the Sony brand controller doesn't have. This controller fixes that problem by being my official FPS controller for my PS3. The alternate thumbstick layout was the main motive behind my purchase, but the other extras were a nice surprise. The best extra was being able to use it on my PC via Bluetooth adapter. It's a 2 in 1 in that regard. How light the controller feels was a bit off putting at first, but I came to appreciate how light it felt in my hands. The curve of the handles and rubber of the grip gives a really nice fit for my hands. A must for FPS players that want an alternative to basic PS3 layout and/or for those wanting a cheap bluetooth controller for their PC.

Great fun for kids of all ages (yes, even toddlers!) and grownups too. Great variety of songs, both older and current. I was so excited for my kids to get this game. They have Just Dance 1 and 2 and LOVE THEM. So, I assumed they would love this one too, especially my 4 yr old. My biggest complaint is the choreography. If I choose the Macarena, I expect to actually do the Macarena dance not some oddly choreographed version. And come on the chicken dance is a classic don't mess with it. Some of the dance moves are the same, but most are totally different than the real songs! We are huge Wiggles fans, but none of the dances are the actual dances! My kids were so aggravated because they were ready to point their fingers and do the twist! They know those dances like nobodys business. After 3 songs that they thought they would know the moves to, they gave up. Whoever decided to re-choreograph the dances to the songs made a big mistake. Maybe my kids will give it another chance, but more than likely this one will be traded in for a different game :(

Detection is quite like Just Dance & 2, more kid friendly, moves OK. YMCA doesn't have the YMCA moves in it; the Chicken Dance doesn't have the Chicken Dance; the Macarena song doesn't have the Macarena moves in it (each one has about half of what you would expect YMCA has Y and M and then ???). I believe the technical term is "What gives?"

I bought this game for my kids (6 and 9). They enjoyed the original Just Dance, but I thought this might be a little more fun for our younger one. They both ended up having a lot of fun with it. Even our 1 year old was enjoying some of the songs. It goes from songs like the ABCs to Funkytown. The only thing I don't like is having kids singing many of the tracks instead of the originals. They do have some original singers like The Wiggles, and Yo Gabba Gabba. This game wasn't that fun for adults, but it still will give you a pretty good work out.

We played this game yesterday at a friend's house with a group of 5 kids who ranged in age from 3-12. They all had a great time and burned off a lot of energy! The gameplay was easy, the team play mode was great, and the kids had lots of silly fun. It was my first time playing one of the Just Dance games, and I will definitely be purchasing the other Just Dance games for me and my older kids, because we would prefer the songs by the real artists. For people with younger kids, this game is fantastic fun.

The MW3-branded Foxtrot is nothing more than re-packaged PX21 by Turtle Beach. The PX21 is also a universal headset (Xbox360, PS3, PC), despite being labeled as "PS3 headset" on Amazon. This is a good headset, and pretty easy to setup and use, but unless you're really into the MW3 logos and green coloring, save yourself $40 and get the Turtle Beach PX21's. Same exact thing. The PX21 would get 4 stars for being above average headsets at a good price. The MW3 Foxtrot loses a star just because it does the same and costs more.

After going through several stock Microsoft headsets, I finally decided to get something a bit more durable what I ended up getting is the Limited Edition Turtle Beach MW3 Foxtrot Headset.

Out of the box, I was pretty quickly satisfied with the design and the feel of it. It's well-made, yet lightweight. Hook-up is also quite simple, but if you need instructions, they're there for you. As this thing is wired, it doesn't take batteries; it simply plugs into one of the USB ports on your 360.(I recommend the one in the back, just because. Well. It's in the back.)

On the cord, there's a little box that allows you to adjust game sound, chat sound, toggle mute, adjust bass, and this thing that says "Expander" ... I'm ignorant as to what this thing is supposed to be, all I know is that when you turn it to on, you get a bit more static than when it's off, doing nothing from what I can tell other than lowering the audio quality. There's also a little 360 controller on the box, which is where you plug in the little included adapter cord, so you can talk to people over Xbox LIVE.

It's really quite incredible what a solid headset does for you how much it changes the game. You really have to hear it to believe it. While this isn't the absolute best headset on the market, or the cheapest, it's not too bad at the price of about $100. While this headset doesn't have Dolby 7.1, it has "amplified stereo," as well as an awesome thing I mentioned above the bass boost. This thing makes the headset all-the-more worth it. Turn this up, and any game you're playing instantly becomes better. In Call of Duty or Battlefield, every shot you fire from your gun rattles your eardrums ever-so nicely, as does a nice big explosion. Perhaps even better, is using this headset while playing Rock Band or the good ol' defunct DJ Hero never has the music sounded so good. And of course, the bass just makes it better.

Another thing that's included with the Foxtrot Headset is "chat boost." The chat boost is a built-in thing that is supposed to adjust the volume in the people you're talking to's voice, to the sound in-game. While this is great in theory, I've had issues with it. While playing Modern Warfare 3, I had the game volume about 3/4 of the way up, and chat at half way. Seemingly randomly, the chat would suddenly get incredibly loud, so I'd turn it down. After doing so, it was so quiet, I couldn't hear anybody to talk. I had to do this over and over again, and it resulted in quite a bit of frustration. What I have noticed is that the lower your bass boost, the less likely this will happen. Regardless, it seems unavoidable if you're chatting with people, and it can be either a minor annoyance, or an ear-bleeding hell of an experience.

So... would I recommend this headset? Yes. Are there other and better, cheaper options? Yes. The main reason why I really prefer this headset to other Turtle Beaches, is that it just looks nice with its sleek design. I should also let you know that even though this says it's a Modern Warfare 3 headset, the only spot you can really sense that it's a Call of Duty headset is on the box on the cord, where it says Call of Duty MW3, and on the top of the headset itself, where it has Call of Duty pressed in. Overall, it's just aesthetically pleasing all-around, and the audio quality isn't too shabby either.

+: That brand new "out of the box" smell, solid sound quality, bass boost, looks pretty cool.

-: Cord is pretty freakishly long, the chat boost has its issues, may not be the best option for the price it is shop around first.

UPDATE 2/29/12: Well, after a little under two months of owning this headset, it randomly broke without warning. I put it on one day, and I was just getting cutting-in-and-out sound from both sides of the headphones. I had to go down to Best Buy to return them. Unfortunately, they don't sell these there anymore, so I settled with the X12's. While I really loved how this headset looked, sounded, and felt, I can't give it a 4 when it's as fragile as this is. Also, in case you're thinking I'm just one unlucky person, one of my friends had the same exact thing happen to him just a few days later. First off, I say a decent buy because the Foxtrot's are basically re-skinned PX-21's with Call of Duty stamped in the headband. You can save yourself $20 or $30 if you can live without the Call of Duty edition. Also the left ear has started going out, it'll crackle and sometimes completely cut off the audio. For this I recommend the wireless ones.

I never imagined surround sound making THAT big of a difference in game quality and my play performance. These are considered the low-end turtle beaches, I can't even fathom what the $300 sets sound like. The bass boost basically amplifies footsteps of enemies. I can hear them at least 20 feet away and react by the time they round the corner. Even if people are camping, I can hear them reloading. With this headset, everyone is an easy target. Battlefield is no different, you can run but you can't hide. Turtle Beaches are just sick in general. Assassin's Creed Revalations I can hear people two or three buildings over and hunt them down with ease. Need for Speed and Forza I can distinguish which side they are trying to pass me on and cut in front.

The mic is great too. Crystal clear but loud as hell. Put it away from your face a good bit and don't yell. You don't wanna make your teammates' ears bleed.

I got these for $59.99 new from amazon. Fast shipping as always. I had to get a wired set of headphones because I was having trouble with the more expensive wireless sets causing interference. I didnt particularly want mw3 px21's which is what they basically are. But these were cheaper than the px21's and newer with a few new features.

They are very fragile especially the wire going from the left ear cup to the mini remote amp. So be aware of it and use the clip so it doesn't tug. Anyway it sounds great with my ps3. Haven't tried it with Xbox or pc.

The controller is great in almost every way. I like the offset/reverse thumbstick layout.

Pros:

Great look and appearance, I got this controller pretty much just for the fact that it's Batman related and made by Power A.

The buttons are responsive and I prefer the stiffer L2/R2 triggers.

The controller is wireless with no noticable lag or dead zones playing Batman AA, and has a built in rechargable battery.

The D Pad is also responsive and I had no issues selecting items in the diagonal directions.

It lights up, has some rubber on the grips, and includes an On/Off switch with a power save function.

Cons:

My only issue with this controller is the placement of the LED Color selection button and Battery Power Indicator button being located inline with the Start and Select buttons. If you use this controller to play any other games, that use those buttons some what often, you will find yourself switching the LED Colors randomly when you try to pause the game, or you will be constantly checking the battery power level (no biggie there), unless you look down at the controller to find the buttons.

Pros

This controller feels similar to xbox 360 controller for anyone who like's that layout.

The batarang controller has 7 LED colors you can choose from.

The controller feels Great and very natural too grip on and the Buttons are accurate.

Cons

But Using The batarang controller on Arkham City, MW2, Uncharted 2, I felt some delay on the right analog stick when I was playing.

So I switch back with the Dualshock 3 to compare it was way better and accurate.

And with the batarang controller you can't turn ON the console with the controller but you can turn OFF the system.

So Overall it's 3/5 stars for me

It's worth a try if your looking for a 360 controller for an alternative.

but I would say just stick with the Dualshock 3 if you want your controller accurate.

I've been playing with this controller for a few days now, and I have to say I like it very much. It feels good in the hands even with playing for long periods of time. It has a very solid feel, and I like the sculpt of the grips. The triggers (L2 & R2) are also very good, certainly much better than those on the standard PS3 controller. All of the shoulder buttons, as well as the D-pad, have a texture to them that's a little more noticeable than the texture on Sony's controllers, which I also like. The D-pad is serviceable and is better than the standard XBox360's D-pad, but not as good as the standard PS3. The lights on the controller certainly look cool, but I play with them turned off because I find it annoying to have a colored light shining in the periphery of my vision.

The main problem with the controller comes from the analog sticks. They do have a dead zone. Reading the other reviews, I was expecting a much larger dead zone than the controller has. Personally, I wasn't bothered too much with this issue. I think that the quality of your experience with this controller will largely depend on the types of games you play. For most strategy, role-playing, and general action games, this controller will work great. However, if you play many games that require great precision and very small adjustments of the analog sticks, such as driving games and first-person shooters, you might want to pass on this controller. I definitely would NOT suggest buying this controller for use in any kind of competitive play. For general gaming, though, it's great.

This is by far the best controller I've ever owned. I ordered it about 5 months ago and so far I've had zero major complaints. I've never owned a non-sony controller so I was hesitant that it would be worth it, but I'm glad I placed the order. Needless to say I've never owned a controller with a joystick configuration like this, but it didn't really take any getting used to.

Here's some things I love about this controller:

-It's sturdy and all the buttons are extremely responsive especially on games that require that like Dark Souls

-instantly turns on, whether your using the very handy on/off switch or the home button after inactivity it instantly turns on unlike even the Dualshock 3

-the previously mentioned on/off switch

-the display power button has four levels and is more accurate than the Dualshock

-the R1 buttons are flawless and don't make the annoying clicking sound that 360 controllers do

-the R2 buttons are triggers

-it's super comfortable

-it lights up! (but unless I'm showing off I leave them off to save battery

the few minor things I don't like:

-the face buttons fade over time

-the stuff on the back fades almost overnight if you remove the stickers

-the biggest complaint is with the button placement at the top, it's vey easy to hit the home or power display button when aiming for the select button// hit the light button or the home button when aiming for start

Overall I think this controller is better designed than both the PS3 and 360 controllers (since it's basically the best of both thrown together) and as far as I know cheaper than both as well.

It comes with the headset, a charging cradle with power adaptor, and a 3 inch usb cable (for synching purposes).

Straight out of the box this looks professional and a high quality design.

It has a power on/off button, a vol+ and vol-, and a MUTE button. All are instinctively located. It can be worn on the left or right ear via a swivel clip common on most bluetooth headsets nowadays.

How do you use it you may ask?

You plug in the headset via the small usb cable to the playstation3 and it automatically syncs it with your ps3. I have heard that you need to delete any other bluetooth headsets in order to do this but that was not my experience. Wait till you see the red ring flash twice and your done.

Don't synch it using the bluetooth discovery method. If you do so it will function like a regular bluetooth headset and some features will not work correctly (such as on screen indication of your volume level, battery life gauge, the mute button, and on screen display if your mute is on or off).

The only complaint I have is that the "headset speaker" is sort of big and the rubber ring that goes around it isn't very soft and can hurt your ear after less than 30 minutes. I did find a solution to this if you just don't jam in into your ear canal that far into your ear it is very comfortable and functional. Just sort of barely seat it into your ear and it works and feels great.

The sound quality is way better than any other bluetooth headset I have used on my ps3 (I have used 4 different ones, all with great levels of success).

It also claims to have a "speakerphone"/microphone function when the headset is in the cradle. I have not had a chance to test this.

In addition the battery life on this claims to be 8 hours with 300 hours of standby which is fantastic.

Finally, it can be used as a bluetooth headset with a bluetooth compatible cellphone.

I purchased this from another retailer and I thought I'd share some thoughts about it. For starters, it is MUCH better then the Metal Gear Solid 4 bluetooth headset. The MGS headset had way too much static when trying to use it. With this headset I get virtually no static at all. It looks very stylish and professional looking, especially with the little PS logo on it as well.

Is it worth the $50 price tag? Well that all depends on the person using it. It goes great with almost any cell phone, and works perfect with the ps3 and heck it'll work pretty well with any computer that has BT capability as well. The one little gripe I have about it though is that it starts to hurt my ear after about 1-2 hours. It's not because it's a design flaw, but more because I have such large ears. Other then those few little things, I highly recommend this BT headset. Great job Sony!

This headset works great with the PS3. The sound quality is much better than my old Motorola Bluetooth headset i was using. There is little to no echo. The charging stand, speaker works great when you aren't using it on your head. Make sure that you follow the directions and sync it via usb not bluetooth. This allows you to get a lot more features from the headset/speaker stand. (It gives instructions to do this in the manual provided).

I give this item only three total stars because of the comfort factor. The piece that fits over the ear is nice and works but its the piece that goes into the ear that is not very comfortable. If you have the headset on for extended periods of time you will most likely have to switch ears or at least take it out ever so often.

Everyone should know that practically, every Bluetooth headset works with the PS3. The reason to buy this one is that it is made specifically for the PS3 and it provides certain features that the 'other' sets don't. When properly paired with the PS3 (using the USB wire, NOT the standard Bluetooth pairing process) you will be able to see your set's status such as 'battery charge' or mute on/off on-screen. There is also a voice command mode that would allow certain games to better interpret your voice commands.

To summarize the positives:

integrates with the PS3 better than other sets

may be better at helping the PS3 recognize your voice commands (haven't tested this myself yet)

good, convenient placement for the 'mute' button

good color coordination with your PS3 and your other PS3 peripherals

works with any Bluetooth capable phone

not very good fit for MY ear (most headsets do not fit well in my ear)

My 5-year old is obsessed with the Hawkman, and so this was one of our first games for the Wii. I was a bit nervous because I've found past Tony Hawk games tricky for me, let alone for him, to master.

Imagine my delight when we started playing this. It's just outright fun: the characters are funny, the maps are cool with lots of different paths and shortcuts, the music is pretty sweet, and the gameplay is downright addictive. And best of all, my son picked it up lickety split. Heck, it's taken months of playing it before I've managed to get half as good as him at the trick courses!

It's the simplicity of the controls that makes this a perfect game when you don't want to cramp your hands or brain trying to remember some convoluted button sequence to do JUST the right move in JUST the right place at JUST the right time. And the difficulty ramps up perfectly, opening up courses of increasing difficulty and length as you go.

I've read some lousy reviews of this from magazines and critics. Glad to see some real-world players giving this game the props it deserves. Bring on Downhill Jam 2!

This is a great Wii game that actually takes advantage of the motion sensing functionality of the Wii.

In this game you control a racer with the Wii-mote in the Steering style. You can race or try to get a high score on the trick mode (like in SSX (PlayStation 2)). You can attack your opponents and if you hit jumps you can do all sorts of moves (also like SSX Tricky). In trick mode there are multipliers that increase your score (like in SSX 3..., ok so this isn't the most original game). Some people may have some issues since this game is quite unlike any other TH game, but it is actually quite similar to a particular boarding game.

Let me spell it out: Tony Hawk + SSX = one of the most fun Wii titles.

In the game you have the choice of several characters with slightly differing stats, as well as the ability to create your own character. As you play the single player game you can unlock new boards, people, and racing venues. All of the racing locations are based (somewhat liberally) on real world locations, like Glastonbury, Rio, Maccu Piccu, Rome, San Francisco...

This game is also a great multiplayer game and I guarantee you'll have lots of fun (or lots of cursing depending on how you finish your race).

This game is easy to learn, the controls are simple to understand, and anyone can pick up and play. Mastering the game however is a difficult process.

To be honest, I didn't expect much from this game, but it really has a lot to offer. I doubt that this game would be at the top of anyone's Wii list but it is definitely a quality title that you should try out, especially with some friends.

NOTE: The description for this game says: "online gameplay." To the best of my knowledge this is NOT an online enabled game.

Best Deals for Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam - Nintendo Wii

As a review said earlier, this game is not very original. I'm a huge fan of the ssx series, and while playing this I realized how similar it was, but still incredibly fun. I play multiplayer with 4 people, its so fun. Our favorite is doing big air (trick), makes my arms kinda sore, shake the remote backwards to do backflips and other cool moves. Other cool game modes are steal the head and elimination. A lot of cool courses, I believe its 12 in total. I highly recommend this game for those who want a fun multiplayer game, extremely similar to ssx, like on tour, but oh well, still awesome.

I bought this for my son, who is almost 7. The game says ages 10 and up, but he picked up on it right away. He loves it, and has been playing it ALOT since we got it. My 37 year old husband loves it nearly as much! There are even a few girl skaters to select, which I've played with. The graphics aren't as good as other game systems, I think that's the general for Wii overall. Wii makes up for it with the interaction you get in these games. This game is alot of fun! It's very realistic.

I love tennis, yet I have never owned a tennis video game before, so I took a look at the two "known" games on the market: Virtua Tennis 2009 and Top Spin 3. I won't go into a review of Top Spin 3, but I will say the differences are HUGE! First off, VIRTUA's graphics are PS2, at best. This really surprised me for being an XBox 360 game. The characters are very repetitive in their appearances, sticking with the same base model and changing only slightly. As for the "pros", forget it. They look nothing like the real pros (Top Spin does). The gameplay is unrealistic. Unforced errors are pretty much non-existent, so hit away. You can only get points off of aces and outright winners. The Career Mode is really poor in the fact that it takes a really, really, really long time to get through the various stages. For instance, you start out in the Amateur ranks at #100 and you must play many matches to advance. Typically, you will only advance one or two spots per tournament, depending upon whether you also play doubles or not. At no time can you move-up and challenge a high-ranking player. You have to stick with the players in your ranking bracket and move up from there. This process takes a very long time and the opponents offer you absolutely no competition once you get the hang of things. Once you reach the Top 10 of the Amateurs, you can then enter the Pro Tour. So, what's in the Pro Tour? More of the same, except you start at #150 and have to climb from there. Again, the competition is sad and boring. Thus, playing through Career Mode is completely boring. What's worse (or good) is that you do not play 5 set matches. In fact, you don't even play 3 set matches. Instead, you play 3 "game" matches. Although this does speed you up through the ranks faster than if you had to play alllllll of thooooooose matches while trying to win best-of-three set matches. All in all, just a really dull game. Now, if you're just trying to have some good old fashioned fun, then have at it. There are a variety of "side games" to play as well as simply entering the Tournament Mode and using one of the unlocked Pros. If you want realism in your tennis, then choose Top Spin 3 (However, be prepared for absolute realism. The game is technically difficult as all 2k games are.)

Virtua Tennis 3 is so much better then this. Someone stepped in and tried to make the game too real. In all actually they stripped the excitement out of the game. Where are the hard slams? The epic dives? I play the multiplayer with my co-workers religiously and this game is by far the biggest let down we've had all year. Avoid this game and stick with the previous version.

This year's version plays better and more fun than Virtua Tennis 3. The new developer seems to have responded to some of the criticisms of the previous game and fixed some issues but I'd still consider Top Spin 3 a benchmark for the tennis games so far. VT 2009 is a bit more realistic overall than VT3 with those silly dives taken out and the positioning of the players relative to the ball greatly effect the quality of the shots like in real tennis. The general crowd atmosphere is a nice touch with the tension building up in the audience during long rallies. The individual player animations are a lot better than the prev edition but still not totally accurate(the forehand topspin swing of nadal for example). There are other significant shortcomings regardless of the improvements to the game. First of all for simplicity's sake I guess, there are only only two types of main shots offered, slice and topspin. What happened to the flat shots that almost all of the tennis players use today? This is like trying to simulate a racing game but all the cars have a 4 cyclinder engine. Having those three basic shots modeled accurately in the game would increase the depth and variety greatly. Right now the game feels like you only hit the ball and run like crazy and that gets boring after a while. And there is no real life like passing or drop shots whatsoever! You can't really spice up your game like in a real tennis match. I understand the developer's instincts in trying to keep everything to a bare minimum in a game to appeal to everybody but that is still not an excuse to serve a half baked tennis game. The overall presentation of the game is so so with a forgettable music and sound effects. The graphics are good but not great and a lot of the top ten players are still missing in the roster. The online play is fun but a bit laggy especially in doubles. This is basically still the same virtua tennis game from the dreamcast days with only a fresh coat of paint on it. We've been there, done that. We want something more!! Hopefully with the next year's edition, and the remaining issues adressed, we'll finally get a complete virtua tennis game. Keep your fingers crossed!

This is an excellent game. I happened upon it and decided to buy it, since I loved the N64 version, and the gameplay is much the same. It is incredibly fun, and can be played in co-op which is amazing. The graphics aren't the best, and sometimes the tanks are hard to control, but they're TANKS. An excellent game, and not too hard nor too easy to beat.

Its a decent game. Pretty similar to Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe. Story line is also decent. I could have given this 4 stars. But I am giving it only 3 because I was let down by the PS4 version. This game makes your PS4 looks like a PS3. There is no PS4 level graphics in this game. I guess the textures are of higher resolution, and that's pretty much it. The "Ultimate Edition" is not much of a use for me.

I should have rather gotten a used version of the game for PS3 than spending $59.99 for the PS4 version with sub par graphics.

Building up from the Mortal Kombat reboot that was also an incredible game, comes Injustice: Gods Among Us that lets you control many of your favorite comic book characters and puts you in a fight were you'll be able to pull off some fantastic looking combos with very fluid pace. We all know the satisfaction of creating a super long combo only to be topped by a Super Move virtually killing your opponent in one move.

But the usual rounds we're all used to where once you drain your opponents life you both go back to zero is gone. If you finish the round with 5% of your life, that will carry over to the next round as is. If you're good (or lucky) enough to beat the other one with that, my hats off to you!

It's a nice and welcome change to the usual formula we all know.

Graphics-wise I do not see a very big improvement over the PS3 version and I do believe that the actual game looks better than the pre-rendered cutscenes. Maybe the improvements to the graphical engine were made only to the actual game but they did not render them again. I've definitely seen better.

There are so many game modes to try. You have your regular story mode where you'll be able to try the different characters and their moves while following a somewhat OK storyline or you can try going on a ladder mode å la Mortal Kombat where you fight a few opponents and you'll get a brief story on that character at the end.

Several of this modes pay homage to MK with a small twist and they're definitely fun.

Controls are spot on once you get used to them. I think this is one of the best fighting games of the PS3 generation. We'll see how long it can keep that spot for the next one

I have never enjoyed a fighter game in my life. When people were going crazy for street fighter, I was focusing on Final Fantasy or Dragon Warrior. So, Fighters have never had a spot in my gaming library. I picked this game up on a lark, and because there's not a whole lot of choices right now on the PS4. I didn't expect to enjoy the game, just tool around with it a bit and go back to playing Killzone, however I found myself quickly hooked on this game!

It's made by the same folks who did the Mortal Kombat games(And in fact has 1 MK character in it..Scorpion), so you know the game is polished. The graphics are absolutely incredible and will make your eyes melt with pleasure!

So, what's so great about this game? Too much to list, but I will try and list a few! Most charactered have several different costume options/skins, so you can wear a classic superman outfit, or superman from the current movie costume. You can wear a classic batman outfit, or his outfit from Arkham city, You can be Classic Green Arrow, or "The Hood"/Arrow from the series. There are a lot of costumes.

Also, the arenas are interactive, and will become damaged as you have your superbrawl. you can also interact with items around the arena. There's not TOO many arenas, but enough to give you a variety of choices. I hope more arenas get released as DLC.

The best thing though, is the story mode. Now, I am not a big fan of fighters, so I am not sure if it's common or not, but this game has a full featured campaign mode, which is basically cutscenes connecting to a pre-determined arena battle. It's an enjoyable story as well, and I couldn't stop playing.

Once the campaign is done, the funs not over though, since there's STARS Missions, Multiplayer Arenas and Single player arena battles(Which should just basically be practice for multiplayer mode).

I have been using these for about a week. I originally just needed a mic since my son broke mine. I purchased the Gears of War throat mic, and that thing is a pile, not even sure how it made it to market with the below sub-par sound quality. So I retuned it and after mulling over the options I decided on these. They are a bit pricey, but I paid $200 for the Tuetlr Beach x41 and those were worth the purchase a couple years ago. My main complaints with the x41s is that they don't go loud enough for movies, and they do burn through batteries, and you get the occasional interference noises from the wireless. That is the main reason I went with these. They are corded so you don't need batteries, and they go louder than I need them too.

The only faults I see with them are these, and they are more of a personal issue than anything else. First is it is corded, cordless is really nice for obvoise reasons. The main cord on these is quite beefy, so it is a bit heavy to be hanging down in you lap. Also the mic/mute control is also beefy. And you also have a small cord plugged into the controller which can be removed if you are not gaming. The controller on the cord is nice as it has a mute, and separate game and chat volume so you can dial them both in. But once I am playing and I am zoned in I don't notice the cords at all, and it is a welcome trad off to not have to use batteries.

The sound on these is really good also, they are a bit bass heavy which is nice when gaming, especially in Gears. I had the the x41s were a little light in the bass. Would be better if it had a dial to adjust to your liking. Hearing "Boom" from the Boomer really sets the tone and grabs you in. I can't say if the 7.1 is better than 5.1, but the surround is better on these than on my x41s. You

can really track the movement of characters in the game. Watching some movies the bass is a bit much, but I would prefer to

much than to little. It is not over whelming, but it is noticeable.

I have put many hours on these this week and only had two times when there was sound issues. One match I had terrible echoes and heard everything I said repeated, which does happen with every other mike I have used. And in one game the bass got extremely overpowered and was distorting like crazy. Was fine in the game till that level, and was fine the next time I turned them on, so I assume it was a fluke.

Comfort on these is pretty good, but after a couple of hours they do start to get uncomfortable. The cups could have been a little wider in my opinion. Not so noticeable when gaming, but movies watching when you are not so focused I did notice it more.

I would totally give them a try, they are the best all around set in my opinion. If they were wireless I would give them a 5 no problem

I got these to replace the Turtlebeach x4's that I had. They finally gave out so i figured that these would be a great replacement. I got these a few days before Gears of War 3 was released. They have worked great. I hear everything just like I did with the x4's. The only thing that i don't really like is that they are wired. I'm not a big fan of that. I get tangled in the wire and so does my child which is very annoying. I worry that one of these times its going to pull my xbox and everything else down. They sound good, and i can hear all my buddies well. About a week ago the chat cable gave out on me. I could not hear anyone, and they could not hear me. I can still hear the game sounds, just not chat. When I went to order a new cable from Mad Catz they are sold out in the U.S. I ended up going to the local electronics store and getting a cable that works but it cost me $20. Not what I wanted to do after spending almost $200 for the headset in the first place.

I purchased this headset a few months ago and have never looked back. It was my first gaming headset and I love it. The sound quality is superb and the fit is just right. Voice quality out and in is great.

My only complaint was the cord that runs from the controller to the headset cord (this allows for voice communication in games) went bad after less than a month. I wrote to Mad Catz but it took them over a month to respond, so I ended up getting a replacement through Amazon (which was painless and easy). Mad Catz finally responded saying they would ship me another cord, but that the specific cord I need is on back order. Other than that, this is a sturdy great headset. If you have the cash to splash, I recommend it highly.

EDIT: Originally I said these were not adjustable to bigger heads, but I was wrong as I found out this weekend. It actually will adjust, they are just really tight initially.

I purchased this for my 11 year old daughter, as she wanted a "real" racing wheel with pedals for the Wii. It was easy to set up (just plug it in) and, it worked right away. After launching Mario Kart Wii with the wii remote, the Thrustmaster wheel functions like an additional wii remote for choosing characters and races. The pedals work for acceleration and braking, and, I find that the racing wheel has a nice feel to it. It can be set to one of two sensitivity settings.

I also found a sheet showing the button presets for Mario Kart on the Thrustmater support website. For instance, the brake pedal also functions as a drift button. My daughter loves it. She races with my 14 year old son, who uses the Wii wheel that came with the game. But they both prefer using the Thrustmaster racing wheel, as it is easier to use and more "fun," than the standard Wii wheel.

I ordered this last week for playing GRID on my PS3. When I took it out of the box, I was a little worried because the wheel is so small compared to one I had for my Xbox. But after clamping it to a table and firing up GRID, my worries are gone. The choice I had was between this wheel for $30 or a Logitech wheel for $150. I'm not sure what a $150 wheel does for you but this one works well with my PS3, will work with my Wii, and makes playing GRID much more fun.

Exactly what I was looking for! An arcade style wheel with pedals for my Gamecube racing games to use on my Nintendo Wii. I love the realistic feel of racing, and the Gamecube racing selection. I wanted to find a way to play those games as I would if they were Wii games. And this is it!

It also works with Mario Kart for Wii really well! (This is the only Wii game that it's currently compatible with at this time, because the game allows use of the Gamecube controller.)

Works well straight out of the box. I was able to plug it in, and start playing right away. It does take just a moment to learn where the correct buttons are, like with Mario Kart for example.

I was very impressed with way the controls handled and responded. Not too loose but just right. It was much easier to use then the Gamecube controller on games like Burnout, where you need quick, accurate response, without over-correcting. PC wheels I have used in the past seemed to have you all over the place, and were too responsive, with no tension. This wheel has the perfect balance. It also seems sturdy enough to last for a while.

The size wasn't bad and I found it quite comfortable. It's not the size of a full sized wheel, but it certainly wasn't an inconvenience. I actually liked the smaller size, it felt easier to use. Close to the size of the Wii wheel, so it felt familiar.

It will add a new dimension to your Gamecube racing games, and open up some more fun options for those of us that have Wii, but have limited racing selection.

I just wanted to make sure everyone saw that! I did NOT see it in the description... maybe I Missed it, I dont know.

But I got it so my husband can play his beloved "Dirt to daytona" On the ps3 (it is a ps2 game in our house) And it does NOT work.. says it right in the booklet that came with the steering wheel.

But it works great on the PC (He played one of the 18 Wheels of steel games) & it works great on the PS3 as long as it is a Ps3 game lol.

We have not tried it on the wii or gamecube yet.

Over all it is a great wheel.

His only complaints (besides the obvious) is :

it is a little small

The pedals are close together

the buttons are not marked.

But he says it is a great birthday present & overall he is happy with it!

I truly believe Scarface: The World Is Yours would have been a blockbuster had it not been released after the 360's release. Many of my friends have said to me: "I'd get it if it was out for the 360". While, I totally understand not wanting to revert to the inferior graphics of the PS2 or Xbox, this game warrants at least a rental. I had hoped that it would at least be playable for the 360, but as of this writing it is not. 10/10/2006.

Scarface: The World is Yours does a lot of really nice things and rivals the fun and ease of play of GTA and Saints Row. While it doesn't compete with the graphics of Saints Row, the depth of game play could easily surpass it. The tutorials are built into the game story nicely and after 2 hours of play time, I realized I was still being tutored. It's that seamless that I didn't even notice it!

The game starts out (if you choose) with a combat tutorial back in the 70s. Tony is in a military boot camp off in Cuba and within five minutes you learn how to target specific parts, obtain balls and to toss yourself into Rage mode. As soon as you complete this level, the game sets you up with the storyline with pictures and quotes from the movie. This was a nice touch as you're watching these; you are also being shown the opening credits. If you haven't noticed yet that this game feels like playing the part, you soon will. As soon as the credits and scenes work up to the famous end sequence where Tony says `Say ello to my little friend', you get thrust into the action with enough balls to toss yourself into Rage mode and a quite powerful rifle. Instead of forcing you through the original, you pick up where the ending began and you get to construct an alternate ending.

This was an awesome way to work the storyline of the movie into a game. After all, no one wants to regurgitate what's been done in the movie otherwise we'd just buy the movie!

On to the Game play!

Tony's got the attitude straight out of the movie. He talks tough and vulgar. It's easy to feel like your really playing the part in the movie and you can talk to anyone on the streets with real voice conversations. Some of these get repetitive, but its far better than text based conversations.

The majority of the joystick controls are familiar and the tutorials will get you through the navigation several times before ending. My only complaint with the navigation is the Y button is used to exit menus. I'm used to B doing this for most of my Xbox games.

Aiming with the left trigger is pretty easy and when you find yourself unable to see who is shooting yourself, using the left trigger will highlight your target. You can also target specific vitals which will grant more balls. (Balls are used to increase your Rage mode bar)

Rage mode, while it sounded a little corny to me really does give the game the feel of the movie. When your health is getting low, hold down B and you're immediately tossed into a 3rd person viewpoint with unlimited ammo and invulnerability. This can be really helpful to finish off missions.

One of my favorite aspects to Scarface is the feel of building your empire. As you acquire properties, you can install surveillance or goons to protect the property. This is even taken a step further, hire a driver and you can use your cell phone to have him bring you a car. As you get money, Tony's not afraid of using it or flaunting it and this game makes you feel wealthy.

Another item that is unique and interesting is the negotiation meter. As you deal with suppliers, dealers and bankers you use a meter similar to a swing meter or kicking meter in sports games. The closer you get to the end of the meter, the better rate you get and the further (or if you go over) away the worse.

Banks are save points in this game and you can launder money through them on a case by case basis. The better your negotiations, the better the rate and once the money has been cleaned, the cops won't be able to take this money from you. You'll quickly learn that money is something you'll have lots of in this game with many areas to spend it as well. One of the initial missions has you hauling 50k away from a rival to deposit into the bank.

I've only put in three or four hours, but this game is that impressive. I'm still just touching the surface on this title and I highly recommend dusting off the old Xbox and giving this title a try. If this game had come out on the 360, people would have been saying "What is Saints Row?" It's that good and you're only hurting yourself by ignoring it because of the lack of 360 support.

While the game engine is similar to GTA, Scarface is not trying to be GTA. It is made by a totally different company and tries to do its own thing. For example, if you love to run around and kill innocent bystanders, you won't like scarface. This game is built around killing enemies & earning money power and respect.

Some parts of the game are even better than GTA. In a shootout, the targetting system is much better and requires some more skill. You can actually aim at their heads and blow them off, or shoot their arms to disable them. In vehicles, it's even more impressive because you actually need to use skill and aim. Unlike in GTA where you just hit the target button and pull the trigger and you're pretty much guaranteed to hit the enemy.

As far as missions go, the skill level and fun factor is about the same as GTA. I really like how you can become Tony's enforcer, driver, or assassin and complete missions as these different characters to build Tony's empire. It adds some variation and lets you expand on what you enjoy in the game. For example, if you like to shoot and kill, do the enforcer missions...like driving, do the driver missions, and snipers can do assassin missions.

I also like how you don't have to protect all your property all the time. Just hire thugs for a few grand and they will defend your turf for you so you can do more important missions and get money and coke to build your empire.

The map isn't as large as GTA San Andreas', but it is still pretty darn big (about the size of Vice city...heck it's actually Miami). Overall, this game might seem like another GTA, but it's a whole new level of action shooter and much more involved in my opinion.

First, the guy who said it's a Grand Theft Auto rip off doesn't know what he's talkig about. Grand Theft Auto actually ripped off the movie in so many ways, just take a look at GTA: Vice City and compared it to the movie. Anyways back to the game, Scarface is fantastic. I love how they made you take a different ending from the movie, playing the game feels like watching Scarface 2. I love how Tony talks to people and reacts, it's exactly like the movie. The only minor flaw is when your out in the streets the game downshifts to a lower resolution in order to avoid slow downs, but it still looks great for the old xbox. Indoor areas look a lot sharper, kinda like max payne 2 while the outdoor looks like driver 3. Still the game is worth every penny, I feel sorry for the 360 owners who sold their xbox. I used to own a 360 and sold it for the lack of games, yet I feel this game is much funner than 3/4 of the 360 games. This game has a lot of swearing and violence!! I love it!!! great soundtrack too!! straight out of the movie, hell it gives me chills when I go berserk into first person mode and tony starts yelling like he did in the gun fight scene, it's awesome. Buy it!!!

i loved the movie Scarface...and i think this game is the Ultimate Compliment to the film. the depiction of the mansion is like icing on the cake. and whoever they got to mimic Tony Montana's voice did an EXCELLENT job. some of the things said in this game are just hilarious. basically, all you do is sell dealers the drugs, collect the money and store it in the bank. wash, rinse, repeat...but its got so much flare from the movie, you wont get tired of it. i recommend this to anyone who liked the movie and has an xbox...or if your just unpleased with GTA4 :l pick this up.

i rank this up there with GTA:SA and The Godfather, you should be able to find a copy on ebay...

I'm a big fan of most wanted and had high hopes for this game but after playing for a few hours I'm bored out of my mind with this game.

There's so many things about this game that I don't like, but it will start of with the positives.

First off the game is beautiful. This is why we got next gen consoles, so games can look this great. Cars look outstanding, and the environment looks very realistic.

There's a good amount of car customization. A wide range of colors, rim colors, custom license plates, decals and performance upgrades as well.

But besides that there's not much positive about the game.

To start with the negative the most important thing about the game, the driving is pretty bad. Cars feel stiff and unresponsive. When I'm driving a Porsche it feels like I'm driving a sedan. I don't know show to explain it but cars just feel heavy.

But even worse is when you are driving there's nothing to do. The world is a good size, but it just feels empty. There's a very limited amount of cars on the road as well. Police chases aren't nearly as cool as they were in most wanted. I loved getting chased down by police trucks, and cops laying down tire spikes in the road and setting road blocks it was great but none of that is in here.

And like i said the world is empty and boring. Not nearly as many stunt jumps and there's no cool or interesting land marks to check out.

Also something I was big fan of in most wanted was the multiplayer. I though it was fantastic, just free roaming with people, starting random races, it was great but none of that is in this game. There's multiplayer but it's not the same.

I haven't played the Need for Speed series since my childhood, but Rivals has made me a fan again. It is hard to beat an arcade racer where you are either driving away from the cops or pursuing speeding vehicles and trying to put them against the wall.

The best aspect of the game is actually after the chase sequence is over with when you have to "bank" your credits by visiting the nearest command post or hideout location. This feature really puts pressure on you as a gamer when you try to decide if enough is enough or if you want to go back out there and risk losing all of your points.

My only issue so far is the multiplayer experience. It runs very well, but it is difficult to find your friends with a map so large. I know they are going for seamless multiplayer, but I would rather set up matches with my friends to make it easier.

However, a lot of fun is still to be had while jumping online. It is great to have 3 v 3 against friends and race through the streets going 150 mph+

I'm not the world's biggest racing game fan, but I've always had a soft spot for the Need for Speed Hot Pursuit / Most Wanted games. The cop vs. racer dynamic has always struck me as infinitely more compelling than "5 people driving to get to point A to see who gets there first." Need for Speed Rivals takes all that I've known and loved about past NFS cop / racer games and makes it that much better using the power of next-gen consoles.

First off, the graphics. The game is beautiful. Moisture on the cars after bad weather, explosive accidents, crazy lighting / reflections, insane particle effects, etc. You can go on and on about the graphics but it's no surprise how good they look since the game runs on DICE's Frostbite 3 engine. If you play Battlefield, you'll probably smile as you drive by trees or bust through a fence in NFS since the effects are more or less identical to crushing a fence in Battlefield. Frostbite 3 feel free to power as many games of mine as you want because you're beautiful .

The game also has a ton to do when you're not just staring at it. I haven't quite wrapped my head around every feature yet, but I really like the open world dynamic and how you can choose to be a cop / racer and approach different lists and objectives as you see fit. Autolog is back (not sure if it's still called that anymore, might just be Speed Wall) that is constantly updating you with your top speeds and times and comparing it to your friends, which is great incentive to keep playing. I think your open world experience is supposed to be integrated with other humans (think GTA V online) but so far, I've been the only one in all my play sessions. Probably due to the fact that the X1 has only been out for 48 hours.

Overall, Need for Speed is a great racing game for racing fans and non-racing fans alike. There's a lot to see and do here whether you're really into cars or not, and I would recommend it to anyone looking to change up their first person shooter / sports menu with a high-speed, dynamic racing experience.

If you are looking for a racing game that is easy to pick up have some quick fun with friends and not worry about in depth tuning than I think this game may be for you. I overall think the game looks amazing. My biggest downfall comes from my preference to sim racers which this game is definitely not. Think of this game as a high budget Hollywood flick. It has all of the styling's of things you want to see but leave you thinking, "that would never happen in real life". Even though I prefer Sim racers over arcade style racers there are plenty of good things Need for Speed Rivals does right.

The game opens with tutorials of both sides of the law (I prefer Cops). These tutorials have you up and driving in minutes with as much info as you need to play the game well. Once you get into the game there are a plethora of activities to take part in and friends to compete against. You might even bump into a friend driving around because the AllDrive system blends Single Player and Multi-Player together. AllDrive, to me, was the best aspect of Need for Speed Rivals. Living worlds seem to be becoming the new hit in terms of playing with people online and this game does it very well. I never felt like the game was over populated while also never feeling like I was ever alone.

I personally would have liked to see more real life simulation in terms of police chases and techniques. There is a lack of real car damage and the small damage you can see seems to be gauged by a meter instead of car performance which is a disappointment but as I stated this is about a quick visual experience with friends. More car tuning and parts options would also have been welcomed.

So if you enjoy a game that is fun and instantly gratifying with lots of big crashes and a forgivable driving style this is definitely a game you want to give a try but if you prefer sim games with a lot of depth you may want to look elsewhere.

I grew up playing the Need for Speed series starting on the Playstation 2. I had countless hours of fun joining different races, upgrading my garage of cars and eventually beating the game by unlocking everything. Need for Speed Rivals allows you to do all the same things, but within a mechanic of chasing each other around as either a Cop or a bandit street racer. Pursuit tech is an awesome edition to cars and the different combinations can alter the game.

The gameplay is nice and, for a launch title, really displays the depth of lighting and textures that the Xbox One is capable of. As others have stated, the game has sorts of an MMO component to it that allows you to jump in and out of races with your friends and other people online, versus having random CPU AI-controlled cars filling up the lineup in all of your races.

With that being said, you should not compare this game to the likes of Forza 5. It is not a true racing game where you can finely tune cars and race on all of your favorite or even known tracks. I found the game mechanic to be solid, but extremely repetitive. There is no story line like previous iterations of the game, which leads me to believe the developers are expecting you to play online with multiple people. The police scanner audio accompanied by every action in the game is slightly annoying and the "calls" can be out of context. Also, the interface to jump in and out of races/matches/chases is hit or miss. A number of times I went flying by the starting line only to back up and have others whiz by me. Also, your two camera options are equally terrible. There is a hood cam (barf) and a third person cam right above the spoiler which is often too low to see through your car to the road up ahead. Yuck!

I would wait for this game to come down in price before I made a purchase as I did not see value priced equally with Forza 5 or most of the other launch titles for that matter. However, if this was a $30-35 game I think it would be appropriately priced for the experience and replay value.
