The majority of console titles being released nowadays are either first person shooters or sandbox games. Isometric Action RPGs, a genre so basic, so essential, I never thought would become scarce, hasn't seen a decent release on the current console generation in almost 7 years. Not one. Back in the PS2 era, the golden age of console action RPGs, we had the holy grail. Baldur's Gate: Dark alliance, and its more than worthy successor, Dark alliance II. The genre was so in vogue, even the Everquest universe brought a worthy contender to the table with the release of Champions of Norrath, and Champions of Norrath 2: Return to Arms. Oh, those were the days. I used to sit on the couch with my girlfriend (nowadays my wife) and play together for hours on end. Just us, exploring dungeons, marveling at the prospect of a dropped piece of armor or sword, which we would immediately pick up and analyze in order to compare to the one we were wearing. Since the current generation of consoles was released, we have waited, and waited, and waited for a worthy successor of one of these games. And there hasn't been any. There have been flops like Sacred, or Dungeon Siege's console version but none that were remotely decent (with the exception perhaps of Lord of The Rings: War in the North. Technically NOT an isometric RPG but a brilliant coop action RPG game nonetheless, which filled somehow the void we carried as gamers for over 6 years). Enter The Lord of Destruction.

The wait is finally over. Diablo III is that game. That worthy successor to Baldur's Gate: Dark alliance we had waited for (for more than half a decade mind you). From the moment you pick up the controller you can tell Blizzard nailed this port. It doesn't even feel like a port. It's like the game was designed with this control scheme in mind from scratch. Movement is fluid, combat satisfying. Everything is there. The search for better and shinier loot is just as fun as it was back in the PS2 with Baldur's. The co-op action is flawless. Minimap, skill trees, chests, weapon racks, everything you may have possibly missed is there, and then some.

If there is maybe one department where the game takes a hit vs. the PC version are the graphics. They're not bad. They do feel a bit...cartoonish. But they're totally current gen. You just can't compare the graphics of a current PC (even a mid-range one) with the graphics of a game, running in 720p on a console like the PS3, released 7 years ago, and already on it's way out. If you have never seen the PC graphics, these will look totally OK to you. Nothing to write home about but not bad by any stretch of the imagination. And my only other gripe with the game (now, this is a minor thing and I'm definitely nitpicking), is that I wish 2 players playing local co-op could enter their inventory at the same time instead of player 1 having to wait while player 2 compares 10 different kinds of armor in order to be able to enter his inventory, or at least, there should be an option to enable this. I'm rocking a 55 inch screen, there's plenty of room for both player's inventories. If a player has a small screen they could disable this option. The upside is when my wife is going through her inventory, I get to see everything she's carrying and sometimes a weapon or piece of armor catches my eye so she gives it to me and viceversa so it's not like it's super boring or anything like that. Like I said, I'm definitely nitpicking. This game is seriously awesome. I can't wait to see what Blizzard does with this game on the PS4. Even if it's just a graphics overhaul, I'll buy the PS4 version in a New York minute and play it all over again (Heck I intend to play the PS3 version all over again several times). Just take my money Blizzard. Keep releasing games like this on the console and keep taking my money. And I hope this game sells like hotcakes so publishers realize there IS a market for this genre on the consoles, and that gamers like us will buy anything you release in this genre as long as it plays this nicely.

Now, don't get me wrong, I love first person shooters as much as the next guy, but sometimes a gamer needs a break from that. No online lobbies, no 8 years olds yelling at the top of their lungs threatening to quickscope me or anything like that. Just me, my girl, the couch and the dungeons (wait, that sounded a bit kinky. But I digress). Sometimes you just want to sit on the couch with a friend, relax, and just have some fun. Sometimes, we need to get back to basics. And what a glorious playground Diablo III is for that purpose. Welcome home Lord of Destruction. What is thy bidding my master?

As ports from PC to systems go, there haven't been too many successful examples. Most games suffer from trying to take the PC/Mouse controls and set them up on a system controller. Or suffer from the limited graphic capability on systems. (Or are like Starcraft on the N64, one of the very worst PC to console ports of all time, and the last time Blizzard tried to do this).

I'm happy to report, Diablo III bucks this trend in a BIG way, and is a must-purchase for RPG and loot fans.

Controls can't get much simplier then what Blizzard accomplished on the PS3. Move with the left stick. Look around with the right. Attack buttons are mapped to the face buttons on the controller. No gaming mouse required! You'll get into the flow of battle and wonder how you ever survived using a gaming mouse or keyboard; it's that intuative.

Naturally, the graphics do take a hit, but it still looks better than you would expect a port has any right to.

Another thing you will notice is the Inventory interface is a little clunky, but that's a minor gripe.

If by some chance you've never played any Diablo games, it's a very simple concept. Slash and hack anything that gets in your way. Mix in a little magic. Grab the loot that drops at random. Rinse and repeat.

The bottom line is this game has at least 30-50 hours (or more) of gameplay and if they release the PC expansion as DLC you can take another 5-10 onto it as well.

As I stated in the open, most PC to console conversions are poor or worst, a complete abomination of the game. Diablo III is neither of those, and if you're the type who love Borderlands for the loot, you will adore Diablo III as well.

Of course this game is going to get bouts of negative reviews. Because it sucks right? No. No it does not.

Diablo III has been a huge subject of gaming controversy since its release last year on PC. A lot of people were sorely disappointed and as a result, the Diablo fanbase has turned into a giant swarm of hate. And thus, because this is Diablo III, the negative reviews are piling up.

Please ignore the negative reviews. They are not credible. Why? Because even if someone hates the PC version of D3 for completely legitimate reasons, THIS IS NOT THE PC VERSION. The console version of Diablo III is not a mere port of the PC game.

This version has been touched up and fine tuned specifically for consoles. Not only that, but every single PC patch that was released to enhance the original game has been include in the console game's content. Thus, the console version is a far more polished game and is undoubtedly a five-star experience.

The two biggest topics of controversy on the PC version (the Real Money Auction House and the Always-Online connectivity) have been completely removed from this version of the game. Now, the main reason for this was because neither of those things were even possible to replicate on consoles, but nevertheless, they are gone. And because of this, there is no more lag or server errors. And the loot drops have been fine tuned and enhanced since the Auction House can no longer be used to buy better gear.

Believe me, I've heard the countless stories about how much of a let down the PC version was. I'm not saying that I don't believe the players who have the PC version that it isn't a let down. But to come onto a product page of a revamped version of the game and give it a 1 star rating just because you are upset at Blizzard is not only childish, but it's about as silly as those people who negatively review products because of a late delivery from their mail provider.

Enough. Diablo III is a great game. If you hate it, more power to you. But don't review this one poorly just because you're offended by Blizzard's mistakes.

(Now if you ACTUALLY hate the console version for legitimate reasons, then that's another story...)

Whew, it has been a long wait! I thought Dungeon Siege 3 would be the best we could hope for on the PS3. This is a terrific game from the company that invented the "Diablo" genre. I have not played it on my Macintosh and I am glad that I waited. A few pros and cons:

Pros:

*Multiplayer is great with no dumbing down of secondary (not player 1) players.

*Eight difficulty levels within each "Master" difficulty level (Normal, Hell, Nightmare, and Inferno) that can be changed at any time.

*Lore is audio based as well as text based.

*No two button finger maneuvers for effects. I have never seen a game do the button mapping better.

*Intelligently designed-this is an understatement.

*Fun (another understatement).

*Random dungeons, leveling up, and replay-ability.

*Thank goodness we did not have to wait for the PS4 version.

Cons:

*Local multiplayer only allows one player at a time in their wonderfully engineered and easy to understand inventory screen.

*Expansions will be delayed for the console.

*No in-game keyboard chat like Diablo 2.

I love this game-it does so much right and is a kick in the pants to play. My two recommendations for future patches:

1.) Allow 2 players in inventory at the same time.

2.)Allow USB keyboard chat.

First Impressions

I wanted to share some of my findings with the Console version of Diablo 3 since I've been playing on the PC version since beta. On my pc Diablo 3 account, I've leveled each class to 60 (except my wiz who is 57) and have played my monk and witch doctor to paragon levels above 60. I share this info because I feel it's important that you know that I speak from some level of familiarity with the game.

I am a PS3 Noob

Diablo 3 is the very first game I've played on a PS3 console. Frankly, I purchased the PS3 and the game on the same day. I read some reviews on the console version of the game and wanted to try it out. I know, it's a lot to spend for a simple game play-thru, but I figure since I'm single and don't need the money to buy jewelry, I can use it for Beer and video gaming.

Control

I found controlling the characters quite simple. The controller layout is shown in the game menus so you can see how it's originally laid out. You can set the game (in menus) to elective mode, which allows you to assign any spell or ability to any controller button. I found this a big help. On PC, D3 is a point and click title where you hit the spells and special abilities with buttons 1 thru 4 if they're not bound to your mouse. With the Console version, you pound on X for your primary attack. Blizz did an admirable job of making the transition from keyboard to controller as it relates to PS3. There is no keyboard mode for this game that I'm aware of on PS3, so keep that in mind. Moving your characters (at least to me) was extremely intuitive. I found using the joystick to move your character to be simple, smooth and accurate. No complaints. I was also pleased to find an "evasion" ability added to each class that is bound to the second control stick. Each character can now roll or strafe to avoid damage.

Graphics

I've read a number of comments where people were displeased with the graphics on the TV. I'm actually glad I read those before firing up my copy because I was pleasantly surprised by how good the game looked. I was expecting something less than HD quality, but found extremely good color, contrast and visual effects. I'm playing on a 42 inch 1080P TV. Nothing special, I think I paid $500 for it. All the lines were smooth and all the colors sharp and crisp. I am using the HDMI cable directly into my TV.

Sound

I love the game sounds of Diablo 3. Many go all the way back to the very first Diablo for PlayStation (which I still have by the way, and no. .you can't have it). The voice characterizations, background sounds and other audio candy is wonderful in this game. Having the surround sound on your TV certainly makes this game come to life.

Game Play

The play through itself has been a blast. The learning curve (for me) on the controller ended when I got through Act 1. After that, I was hammering buttons and firing off skills like I actually knew what I was doing. The monster fights are very similar (to pc) with some modest exceptions. The differences are subtle and noticeable if you've played on PC, but not largely different, and equally as fun. Quest rewards sometimes provide gear due to the lack of an auction house as was available (and will be till March 2014) on PC. Crafting is also much the same except the requirements have been reduced to compensate for lower drop rates of items you salvage for crafting materials.

Item Drops

This has been a huge point of discussion which led me to want to try the title myself. "Magic Find" or "Farming" is a significant part of the game play with the Diablo franchise. The quest for better items and increasing your character stats can quickly become an obsession. The PS3 version of Diablo 3 doesn't disappoint in the item drop category. Granted, you don't get as many items as you do on the PC, but from my limited experience I can tell you that the items are better suited for your character and for the level of your characters progression on the console than on the PC. I did not have to buy any items for my character from the vendors (although you certainly can) for leveling. I was able to play comfortably and effectively with items that I found on my play through. The key difference here between the PC and the console (for me) was that with PC, you rarely (if ever) found a direct upgrade for a piece you were wearing after you got past level 30 or so. With the console version, the upgrades don't fall like rain, but they will fall. I had a great deal of luck exploring every nook and cranny of each zone before leaving to the next. And for those that were waiting for it, yes. . . unique items do drop on the console version. And they aren't what I would consider over-blown for your level. My experience (yours will vary) was the unique items I found were level appropriate and replaced within 3 or 4 more levels with better blue or yellow gear. I got my first unique at level 13. It was a 15 dps upgrade and I used it for 2 levels. Finding shiny items is why we play Diablo 3, and the console version delivers. I've not played at level 60 yet because I'm still leveling. My hardcore monk is level 22 and my hardcore witch doctor is level 57.

Vendors

Some vendors sell yellow items mixed in with the typical blues. This is random so each game the items and vendors selling them will vary. The farther you proceed into the game, the more items they seemingly offer. Again, I didn't need to purchase any (and gold is still tough to get) so I didn't bother. But I can confirm they are there.

Followers

These guys seem to do more damage in the Console version, but I can't be certain. I did let my follower pound on some mobs a few times and they did die, so I definitely think there's something to this. Another neat feature is that you can respec your follower. So if you want to try other follower talents, feel free. You can change them whenever you like. On a personal note, the Scoundrel is still the funniest one to listen to when you're questing.

Game performance

This is a bit of a sticking point with me. I bought a brand new PS3 and a brand new copy of D3. There seems to be a great deal of disc thrashing with this game, but I'm not sure if it's this title or just the PS3 in general. I have a 250GB hard drive so space isn't an issue. Since D3 is the only game I've played on it, the drive is empty, less the space taken by saved characters. It doesn't make the game unplayable, and it's not a rubber-banding type of issue, but my game does hesitate at times when the mob density is highest. It recovers quickly and moves on, so I don't know if this is something to do with the game or the system. I did a little research and from what I've read, the game plays strictly from the DVD and cannot be uploaded to the hard drive (I've not verified this) so that may be a factor. Although since it can be downloaded from the PSN store, I'm not sure why you cant upload it to your drive from the DVD. Again, I'm a PS3 noob so I could be wrong here.

Crafting

This seemed to turn out more upgrades than I typically experienced on the PC version. Granted, all of my crafting has been done below level 60 so far (57 and 22) but I did have some luck.

Character Leveling

This part of the game on the PC became a chore, but it's pretty fun on the console. The difference here really lies in the ability to find level specific upgrades for your character. On the PC, my experience was that all upgrades need to be purchased from the auction house or needed to be crafted. With the console version, my experience so far (both toons I'm playing) have been able to manage very well with the gear they find on their journey. Again, unique items did drop for me, making leveling seem more like low level magic finding than an actual grind to level 60.

Loot 1.0, 1.5 or 2.0 ?

I've read too much on this topic so I'll just summarize. More item drops (while leveling) are usable in the console version than the PC version. Unique items don't drop like rain on the console, but you will find them. As I shared, I got my first at 13. Used it for a few levels and dusted it for a yellow. The game (per blizz) was made to allow you to level without the need for an external source to obtain items and gear. So far, I've found this to be an accurate account based on my limited experience. Again, we play Diablo 3 for the pretty glowing items that drop in the hopes that they will benefit our toon (or at least one of them). So far, my loot experience has been fun. I am not worried about obtaining upgrades because I know that I will. So far so good.

TL;DR (Too Long; Didn't Read) Review

Like many, the luster of the PC version wore off for me. I was reluctant at first to try the PS3 version of Diablo 3, but I'm very glad I did. Diablo 3 for the console is fun. Loot falls and in many cases was an upgrade for my toon (yes. unique items drop too). Using the controller is simple and intuitive. I play Hardcore, but losing a character doesn't hold the same negative connotations as it does on the PC because I know I can find gear to replace what I've lost during the course of leveling up. The sound and graphics were quite enjoyable for me. If you've enjoyed this title on the PC, you'll really enjoy it on the console. The game itself is very much the same, with the added benefit of knowing that you will find shiny new items. Feel free to comment or ask questions.

This game will frustrate you unless you read the manual.

Once you read the manual you will be able to take advantage of 2 crucial things: multi-target homing missiles; and identifying primary objective targets. Without the latter you will get NOWHERE in the game.

Pros:

Fans will appreciate the art work that can be unlocked in the gameincluding Ralph Mc Quarrie paintings.

You get to check-off one of your childhood todosie fly a Viper. You get to fly from within the cockpit of the viper as well as cylon marauder. If you press and hold the Y button while in this view, your viewpoint turns slightly as if you are turning your headso you can see to the left and right of your cockit.

Cutscenes are pretty cool but unfornately are very grainy.

Game is more enjoyable when you have read the manual and are better able to control the Viper's systems.

Your weapons automatically aim at a target to a limited degreethis gives it the same feel as in the original series. I think more space-sims should do this.

Sound effects of laser cannons and turbo are from the original series.

Game soundtrack is an updated version of the score from the original series.

Cons:

The game is hard and there are no cheats. You have to do things pretty quickly or you will miss your opportunity.

Expect to have to sit thru the first mission at least twice to get through it. First time to get used to the controls. Second time to fully grok the controls from what you've read in the manual. And maybe one more time to really win the mission.

Game sequences between saves are long so if you die you have to start all over.

Cutscenes are grainy.

This game is not worth paying full price, but now that it has hit the bargain bins, I think it is well worth it. Come on, you get to finally check off that "fly a viper" item in your geek-childhood-todo-list. You know the one I'm talking about, the one right below: "Fly down the trench and destroy the Death Star"

I will start with the simple truth: Battlestar Galactica is an extremely difficult game. If one has the patience, it is also a rewarding game that's a lot of fun to play.

The lack of a tutorial makes reading the instruction manual absolutely necessary. Since there are no "free flight" levels, one simply has to learn on the fly. As a bit of advice, read the manual's "targeting" section multiple times. Once you've got this down, the game becomes infinitely easier. In this game, missiles are your best ally.

As pointed out by other reviewers, the lack of save points between mission sections is frustrating, and as the game progresses it may even seem that the game has a personal vendetta against the player, ever requesting further "impossible" tasks, all within the same mission. As a final complaint, certain target objectives are VERY hard to locate, and in true "Death Star" style, are the ONLY vulnerable point on the target.

However, the graphics, cut-scenes, music (especially the music), voice acting, flight control, and vast array of available craft (each with unique traits) are all superb! Real-time missile configuration along with a "fire and forget" locking system alleviate some of the previously mentioned stress. There is a wide variety of mission types (pilot, gunner, bomber) and listening to Adama evolve from eager rookie to vengeful and grizzly veteran is an enjoyable parallel to the player's own gaming experience.

I recommend this game to anyone who enjoys a challenging flight sim, but only if one has an abundance of patience.

As a longtime fan of the Battlestar Galactica TV series, it pains me to write this review. But here it is.

Great looking game, lots of attention to detail, but PLEASE believe the other reviews. This game is IMPOSSIBLY difficult and there are almost NO save points between missions. I say this as as a veteran gamer -there is no excuse for having to play a mission for 45 minutes only to die at the end and have to start over from scratch.

After a dozen attempts at a certain level sequence, even the most hardcore gamer will want to kill himself. AVOID this game unless you literally have NO job, NO life, NO time for anything other than ENDLESSSSSS repeats of missions over and over.

With so many top-notch games like Halo and Splinter Cell and Max Payne available, there is NO EXCUSE for this piece of refuse. The tiniest amount of product testing would have prevented ALL these problems. This game was RUSHED to release; OR, the game designers are INCOMPETENT. Take your pick.

In addition, the designers (look them up online), don't reply to emails if you are asking for tips or help. Buy this game only if you are seeking a surefire direct route to migraine headaches.

Again: AVOID THIS GAME AT ALL COSTS!!!

I was intrigued by the degree of the reviews of this game and being a Galactica fan myself when it first aired, curiosity got the best of me. I give it a big thumbs up.

It is true, the skies are literally crawling with Cylons, your fellow pilots are begging for help, your wingmen need managing, your missile system needs tailoring for the current task, all while being shot at and tracked by enemy missiles with the goal of the mission just a hair's breath away from being a missed opportunity. To top that, you have only one chance at it without having to start the level over. So, it is not for the faint of heart and not the kind of game that would cater to a broader audience. My only experience prior to a similar game where you fly missions to earn metals is the Star Wars Rogue Squadron series and I usually find a way to win by taking unfair advantage of the A.I. Not so easily done in BSG. There are some rare opportunities that make themselves evident, but getting out alive and advancing in the game really rests on how you use the Viper to your advantage. It takes plenty of practice and timing to master evasive maneuvers found in the flight manual, but will make a big difference in not getting hit. Your ship also sports a way to recharge weapons and repair damage and finding time to take advantage of this is also crucial.

As you progress and unlock new material, you will find the game to be a little multimedia center for things Galactica. You can run ingame movies, play DVD ads of the old and new series, see voiceover outtakes with Dirk Benedict, look at Ralph McQuarrie concept paintings, and view ingame models of the ships that you can rotate and examine. The graphics and sound (with an exception to a few voiceovers) truly runs parallel with the series, both old and new. I do agree with other reviews that this game could use a tutorial or training mission. Winning missions is based on how well you survive and with that in mind, it wouldn't hurt to get a hands-on test of the various ships before being thrown literally into a maelstrom without some notion on how to use that ship's abilities. My only other beef would be with replay. It's a short fifteen missions with very distinct goals. It would be great to have a few more missions thrown in or an open ended endurance level where you do nothing, but practice buzzing around the Galactica or baseship and shoot down Cylons until you are picked off. That alone keeps the game from being perfect. However, despite that detail, it's worth it if you like heavy doses of action and nerve wracking sudden death, do or die gameplay.

Visually beautiful, awesome physics (about halfway between real world and the TV series, usually in your favor), perfect soundtrack and voice acting. Story and technology is a seamless blend of old and new series ideas, and the viper is the most fun-to-fly vehicle in any game I've played.

It's worth persisting. Learn to use the 'smart' missiles; eventually you'll be turboing toward the next target long before they hit, confident that they'll find their mark.

The lack of a save option is absolutely insane, especially when you're in one of those @#$% "protect rather suicidal AI teammate" modes, but it's the only thing wrong with the game, hence the 3 ovarall and 5 for fun.

As a more casual gamer, I never really understood the necessity of wearing a headset while playing on the Playstation Network or Xbox Live. The Afterglow headset definitely helped me cross that line. I have become familiar with several other gaming headsets through my roommates and other friends, but never was impressed enough to pull the trigger for a pair of my own. I am very happy to have had these given to me as a gift, because I may have never experienced them otherwise.

When it comes to sound quality, as an owner of a pair of Bose QC Headphones (which coincidentally crapped out on me right after the one year warranty expired) and a pair of V-Moda Crossfades, I am very particular and value headphones with crisp, clear sound and solid bass. When I first took this set out of the box, I plugged them directly into my iPod rather than my Xbox. I was astonished with the sound quality, something I didn't quite expect from a pair of headphones built primarily for gaming. Although I still take my Crossfades out the door with me (they are a bit more streamlined) I have found myself using my Afterglow headphones as my primary music listening headphones while at home. The sound is fantastic whether the volume is cranked up or you're listening at a whisper level. Vocals are very clear, and it is easy to separate the sounds of instruments in the music or footsteps and gunfire while gaming. While they are not noise-cancelling, the quality design of the headphones helps block out a fair amount of outside noise, which I find to maximize the sound experience.

One of the most attractive features of these headphones is the inner headband design. Unlike anything I've worn before, at first I was very skeptical of the suspension style strap. I quickly found that it maximizes the comfort of the headphones, while also eliminating the need for the more common click-slide size adjusters (which I now find irritating) found on most other headphones. This headband makes it so there are no noticeable pressure points on the headphones, which is ideal when you find yourself on a multi-hour gaming or music bender. All other headphones that I have used extensively begin to irritate my ears or head after a couple of hours, I have yet to experience that with this set. Additionally the earcups are large enough to fit my oversized ears comfortably without being bulky, a compromise that I generally find lacking in most headphone designs. The only other notable design feature is the retractable microphone, a great feature which makes these headphones a lot less clunky than similarly priced gaming headphones, without sacrificing any quality. Other than that, the design is very effective, nothing too flashy, but much more than you would expect for the reasonable price.

Another feature I find extremely valuable about these headphones is the multi-platform capability. Unlike many other gaming headphones, these are compatible with all major platforms, something that is very useful as all of my roommates/friends seem to prefer different gaming platforms.

Overall, I definitely recommend these headphones for the casual to serious gamer who is looking for a lot of bang for their buck. I have yet to have any issues with this Afterglow set, and would definitely be interested in hearing what people have to say about the wireless set, which I'm sure will be my next gaming headphone purchase when the time comes. Comfortable design and great sound quality make for a great pair of headphones. The lighting effects are just a bonus! Hope this was helpful.

Having used many headsets over many consoles, i can gladly say that the afterglow headset can be placed on the top of my list. The sound quality is amazing compared to other headsets at its price and can even be compared to headsets twice the amount paid for it. Every game I have tried with these did not disappoint with the sound quality i received. The only problem I had with them was the tightness I had when I first used them. But after a week of using them they started to mold and fit snug around my head so it wasn't really a problem.

I will revise this review after I get some service from PDP. I'm a female gamer so it fits my head just perfect alittle big in fact, this is the first headset I have ever owned like this and was a gift from my mom for a late Christmas present. after receiving though is where the 3 stars comes into play I need an adapter cable for it to work on my PS3, that is not provided with the headset you have to contact PDP, so I did like the book said call the 1800 number I called it and got told to go to the website to file for my adapter piece, then just for the heck of it I hooked this headset to my brothers xbox to see what the sound quality was like on there surprise surprise I need another adapter since both systems are HDMI linked and not hooked up with the original cables this piece is needed and in the book it says after you call it's free and 2 days shipping, issue is it's 2 day shipping from when they get your ticket so if they don't get it for several days you don't get to have optimal game sound till then. All in all if you hook your systems up with HDMI be ready to not use your headset for awhile unless you have the original cables ready like I did for my PS3 but also be ready to go down in visual quality for better sound. I will again revise once I receive the items needed to let future buyers know how long it will take.

Ok so as I said I would revise if I received the adapters and I have so my review on this is WOW !!! I never received a message back from the company they just sent the adapters, not a bad thing at all but it does show they are working on customer service just make sure you file the claim ticket at the right place on the website. The sound quality is AMAZING !!! it takes some getting used to if your like me and never had surround sound headsets before. you have to do some adjusting to the sounds and from what I can tell mine are backwards where it says chat it's actually the game and vice versa but it's not a big deal since I know that's the issue I just adjust from knowing that. if you have any issues hooking up your headset don't get frustrated go here( )they have instructional videos for all electronics, plus they will tell you where to go to file your tickets for the adapters I would really recommend these if your really looking for a quality item and to block out sound.

I am not normally used to wearing headphones, but when my gamer son recommended I try his new Afterglow Universal Wired Headset Blue, I was sold. Not only do they look totally cool with the glowing blue light (especially awesome in the dark), but they feel fantastic, almost too comfortable to take off. "I will never wear annoying ear buds again," claims my son and now I understand why. Plus the sound quality is terrific. My hearing's not great so with Afterglow on I go high on volume and low on disturbing the family. Everybody's happy. Finish off with the fact that these are so very affordable compared to a lot of other headsets on the market that I'm inclined to think we should all have our own!

Warning! This wii console is not backwards compatible with game cube games, it has no port for the dance revolution pad, and you can not stand it upright. The Super Mario Bros game comes in a cheap paper sleave instead the usual plastic jewel case. So your game is more likely to be scratched and has no trade in value without the jewel case. Do yourself a big favor and buy the wii bundle that comes with Mario Kart. This is still backwards compatible with the game cube games. It costs a little more but its well worth it!

I've read a lot of less than five-star reviews for this new Wii package but I have a different perspective on it.

I bought this for a family member who has never owned a Nintendo Wii and doesn't care for the game Mario Kart but loves Super Mario Bros. So this was a win-win product solution for me. It just depends on who the product package is for and their likes/dislikes. I'm concerned the negative reviews are going to make first-time buyers think there are other issues with the gaming console. If I bought the bundle that included Mario Kart, I would have had to buy Super Mario Bros separately, adding about $50 more to the cost. And not everyone cares about playing Nintendo GameCube titles, it's just a preference.

If anyone is a hardcore Wii user, I can't imagine they would consider this product anyhow, just wait for the next version of Nintendo Wii to be released in the near future.

First, let me just say I love the Wii and love LOVE New Super Mario Brothers Wii. In fact, that game is the reason I bought a Wii. So my 3 star rating is not an indictment on the system or game, but rather the value of this bundle compared to the Mario Kart bundle. As a previous reviewer mentioned, this does not feature compatibility with Gamecube games and/or accessories. Obviously, that is a big negative. You'll be missing out on a vast library of games that include Mario Sunshine, Metroid Prime, and many other greats. Many of these games could be purchased rather cheap on here, eBay, or Gamestop.

Then there's another "feature" they removed that I don't think was mentioned yet. And that is that this system is not meant to be set up in the vertical position. This Wii is designed a little differently and is a bit smaller, what with all the Gamecube "guts" taken out. It is not designed to be placed vertically, only down like the picture on the box indicates. Consequently, it does not come with a stand. Obviously, a lot of people enjoy the vertical positioning of their Wii, whether it be for aesthetic reasons or space saving necessity.

And then, of course, you have the price. I think 149.99 is worth it for the Wii and this great game. Not, however, when there is much better value out there. Even at the MSRP of 149.99, the Mario Kart bundle is a better deal because of the Gamecube compatibility and vertical placement option. However, as some of you may be aware, Target and Walmart have permanently dropped the price of their Mario Kart bundles to $134. So you are paying 16 dollars less for a system that features Gamecube BC and a vertical stand and vertical placement option. It seems like a no brainer. In fact, when I heard that this bundle without these features was getting released, I figured it would be priced at about 100-120 dollars. I was surprised that this inferior bundle would be priced the same or in some cases like I mentioned, higher) as the superior Mario Kart bundles. The good news is that this bundle is not replacing the Mario Kart bundles. They will still be manufactured and available, this is just an alternative.

So in conclusion, I just don't think this is a good buy against the Mario Kart bundles. I love the Wii and the Mario game and urge everyone reading to buy one... just not this particular one. At least not until there is a price drop or you find a great deal that makes it worth not having the removed features. You can always buy the New Mario Bros game separately. And the advantage of doing that is that you get the game in a nice full sized red Wii case. With this bundle, you are getting it in a cheaper paper sleeve case, like Wii Sports in the past, which leaves the discs more prone to scratching and also lowers it's potential resell value, if you ever decide on selling it back for whatever reason. Hopefully this helps you make a better decision on which Wii Bundle to buy or not buy

Let me clarify that my rating isn't about the Wii in general; that deserves a 5-star. Nor is this about the bundled games, which may be worth more or less depending on the person. My review is about this particular console package, which is definitely inferior to this one: Wii Console with Mario Kart Wii Bundle Black.

Both this bundle and the other come with the standard accessories, one game, and the console itself. There are also some small items in each one (the SMG 2 soundtrack and the Wii Wheel, respectively), but I'm largely ignoring those. As both bundles sell for about $150, the significant differences are simply these:

This console is not backward compatible. The other bundle's console is.

This console can only be placed horizontally. The other one can be placed horizontally or vertically.

And that's really about it. If this bundle was selling for $100 or so, I could see buying it. But it's directly competing with a different console package that provides more. Happy hunting!

PS As a point of comparison, Japan is also getting a new Wii bundle next month. It retains the same price, backward compatibility, and vertical placement; but it also has an extra Wiimote.

Not to sound dramatic, but this game is really pretty amazing. Admittedly, I have only spent an hour and a half behind the wheel, but so far the attention to detail is actually close to my expectations for an F1 game. I have a feeling that I will be investing a LOT of hours in this one.

Last year I had PS3 version of F1 2010 (G27 wheel so forced to get PS3) and I was kind of disappointed. Nothing wrong with the game for me, but just felt sterile and kind of blah. Visually the color palette was too drab, maybe handling wasn't lively enough, cockpit views kind of disappointing, and the McLaren wasn't even shiny? (Seriously, how could they not get that right in the year 2010 with all the experience they have developing games?)

I don't know if it is because I bought the Xbox 360 version this year or what, but WOW, I am impressed. The handling feels lively and the interaction with the AI cars has an exciting feel. The graphics are just beautiful, tons of detail that you might not even expect. I literally sat there with a huge grin on my face, like the feeling you get on a great ski run or after hitting a beautiful shot in golf. The McLaren is so shiny that its distracting (in a good way I couldn't stop staring at the beautiful reflections). The rain drops on the cars and little rivulets of water running across the body work add a level of detail that draws you in. The spray behind the cars feels "right", not sure how else to put it.

Overall, the game has the level of polish that I was hoping for. The good news is that it will only get better from here! I will enjoy this one for the next 364 days and have even higher expectations for next year. I have been playing with the Xbox 360 wheel from Microsoft, and am not overly thrilled with the performance of the wheel. Since the 360 version is much preferred, I'm going to order one of the Fanatect wheels and eventually eBay the G27. I'm trying to decide if I should get the GT2 or wait a few weeks for the new Forza wheel. Any feedback on that is appreciated.

Bottom line for me: I LOVE this game. I don't have PS3 version to compare to directly, but comparing last years PS3 version to this years Xbox 360 version, it is truly a HUGE upgrade and I think it will be many months before I'll be setting this one aside (unlike last year, when I just couldn't get into it, no matter how hard I tried nor how badly I wanted to love it).

The game is pretty good, Graphics are not as good as I thought they would be, but the realism is good, becareful when using the DRS during Qualifying because if you are not pointed straight you will lose the rear end very fast. You do not spin out as easily as in F1 2010 you atleast have a moment where you can get off throttle and save it. Really like the fact that you can start off in Force India or (either Williams or Torro Rosso can't remeber) instead of just the three new teams. This allows you to be more competive in the first race.

I was excited to learn there would be a crazi taxi style game coming out using big rigs, but after I bought it I learned that it only had 4 levels and a really boring parking game. My friend and I beat the game in about 20 min. Another thing is that you can't just drive around like in crazi taxi ; you have about thirty seconds to get to each checkpoint.

The only cool thing about the game is that you can smash through anything in your way.

I recommend borrowing the game from a friend-don't waste ... on buying a game you will use for a half hour.

18 Wheeler was a good game in the arcade, and now you don't have to blow a dollar a pop to play it. The Dreamcast version is everything the arcade version is, crisp clean graphics, smooth controls, and great gameplay make this one of the last good Dreamcast games, think of it as Crazy Taxi with a big truck. Only problem is, and its a major problem at that, is this game is real short, and there are no extras, something Sega should have incorporated for their home conversion. Other than that, this is a good DC pickup.

Kudos to Sega for another off-beat title. Who could have thought that one could make an entertaining game out of truck driving? Make no mistake this is a fun game. Points are also awarded for smooth, if not benchmark, animation and intuitive controls.

But shame goes to Sega for doing so little in porting the title over to a home console. With any arcade-to-console port, extras must be added or the gameplay must be modified to create replay value. Otherwise, there would be no excuse to buy the console version rather than spend the equivalent in quarters at the local arcade. Sadly, the core of the game, "arcade mode", is ported over with no change. And unlike the popular "Crazy Taxi", "18 Wheeler" does not go on and on if you are good enough. Instead, you go through a few stages and once you complete those stages ... nothing. Most people will learn to complete these stages inside of three hours. Sure, there is a "parking" challenge that is analagous to the mini-games in "Crazy Taxi", but again, once you finish them ... nothing.

Save your money and head down to your local arcade with some friends. For the equivalent number of quarters, the humorously large cabinet, life-sized trucker steering wheel, big bench seat, and loud horn will be more fun than you can ever have with this title at home.

18 Wheeler is a very fun game. It puts you in the mine as a real pro driver. You get to drive all over states. But the only problem with this game its too short. You'll get to earned money. I am a Sega Saturn controller fans and use it for all of my fighting games. I have been looking for a good Saga Saturn controller converter for my PC & Playstaton 3 games and I finally found one. This controller is extremely well constructed and my Saturn controller (both type 1 & 2) works well on Windows XP, Windows 7, and my Playstation 3. I am not sure why some reviewer say it does not work on PS3 but I have no problem whatsoever with this converter with my PS3. It works with the manual and with all of my PSN and PS3 games like SF4, Marvel vs Capcom, SF x Tekken, DC vs Mortal Kobat, etc. I would have to say it is one of the most well-built converters I have used so far. Just got it, seems pretty good. No noticeable input delay. Worked with my Saturn arcade stick (Hori FightingStick SS), but despite having analog compatibility for PSX/N64 controllers, it doesn't seem to work with my analog Saturn pad, the NiGHTS 3D controller. Bought this with a used Saturn pad, and it's a fantastic setup for retro games, especially fighters and shooters. I love the option of holding start+A for 3+ seconds on the Saturn pad to switch the D-pad from the point of view hats to the X/Y axis. Once more used Saturn pads are available, I plan on buying another one of these babies to play old games on my PC. I tried my PS2 controller as well and it works great, but it was only a quick test since I bought this as a Saturn pad adapter. I'm very surprised by the lack of input lag; highly recommended.

No other game pad beats the Saturn pad in terms of precision(especially the diagonals) and how tight and responsive the D-pad and buttons are. No problem with pressing, say, right and accidentally jumping in a fighting game like when I use a 360 pad. I'm VERY happy the Sega Saturn slot was included.

Welp, have gotten the Gaming Seat home and assembled and it looks GREAT and it definitely does what it's supposed to. To be honest, it's a nice addition to my racing setup. The reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because it just doesn't live up to it's steep price tag. For the money, it should just have a more rigid, higher density frame. Every time I get up from the chair, the metal arm that mounts the foot pedals to the seat flexes and knocks stuff over. Luckily I got it on sale for a mere $199, I seriously wouldn't recommend buying it for any more than that.

I'd been looking for a solution for playing Gran Tourismo 5 Prologue because sitting on the couch with the wheel clamped to my coffee table wasn't that comfortable.

When I found that there were gaming cockpits available, I couldn't resist, and ordered this one. However, I was worried because I had read that the Logitech G25 Racing Wheel wasn't compatible because the pedals were too long to fit on the platform on this seat.

Once I got the seat, it looked like all that was needed was a spacer between the pedal platform and the pedals to make it work.

A piece of 1x12 lumber cut to the length of the Playseat foot pedal mount provides the separation needed for the G25 pedals to fit.

How the spacer is mounted is up to you. I chose to drill holes in the board to line up with the screw holes in the pedal set (which take M6 machine bolts). Some lag bolts through the board and the steel pedal plate take care of holding the board to the playseat plate. A single set of screws through everything would also work. A paper trace of the pedal set base works great as a drilling template for the pedal mounting screws.

After the spacer is added, the pedals fit perfectly. And--you don't have the annoying steering bar between your legs like you do in the Playseat evolution.

If you're at all handy, and can fashion a ~1" spacer for the pedal set--this seat will work for you.

There is one more thing--like the Evolution, the seat of the Classic folds for easier storage.

In summary, this item was a great addition to my car racing experience. I recommend it highly.

22 year old, just out of college

I am using the seat with the GT Force Feedback Wheel by Logitech for the PS3. I am a GT addict and have used the setup for F1 Championship as well. Must haves if you are really into the racing sim genre.

The actual seat is great, stable and comfortable. The frame on the other hand needs work. Out of the box the foot pedal and steering wheel mount wobble quite a bit, even when tightened down with the supplied adjustment knobs. The materials used seem to be quality, but the petite size of the frame's support columns give the chair a "dainty" novelty feel. If you are investing a hundred plus dollars into a product, I expect a little bit more. Overall, I would make this purchase again, just be prepared to perform a little surgery on yours.

I own a PS3 and the new Logitech GT wheel and the classic does a fine job. If you're hard-core and use the Logitech G25, you may want to spend extra for the Evolution but for console gamers, this should work just fine. It's not rock steady but that has not impacted my driving enjoyment.

When I recieved the gamechair I found out a few flaws that I wish I would have known in advance. I can take care of them but its going to take modification that I feel shouldnt be needed in the first place.

1. This chair doesnt fit the G25 racing wheel's foot pedals from logitech. The base is to short and I will have to add another suppport board underneath to stabilize it.

2.The wheel height adjustment doesnt go "down" very far and feels like its to high. But this might be just me and my preferences. Still I am 6' and feel it should be able to lower more for shorter people.

3. The steering column feels unstable. I think there should be more support for a steering wheel that is going to be putting up with alot of side forces.

Overall its not a bad gaming chair but I certainly would of returned it if I had to pay the full price($300). But since it was 33% off I will just modify it to my preferences.

This is probably my favorite game that I ever played on the Dreamcast. It is a very hard game at times(It took me forever to beat Wagnard the first time. Exploring every inch of the sixth level of the cold cave was also a doozy.)It also is a very long game for an action rpg. There are so many items that you can find. I have played it for a while and I still haven't found every one. It is definitely worth the time it takes to play through it though because it is a very fun game. I highly recommend it.

Record of Lodoss War looks and plays similar to Diablo I/II and Blood Omen. This means no annoying random encounters like most RPGs. There are two VERY cool aspects to this game. For starters, you are given your own castle from which you can explore the island of Lodoss. Using a spell, you can return to this castle at any time (similar to the Town Portals used in Diablo II). By activating portals, you can transport to different locations throughout the island without having to walk the whole way every time you want to traverse Marmo. The second great aspect of this game is the weapons/armor system. After rescuing Wart, a blacksmith, you can have him forge weapons for you and emboss magic runes onto your weapons and armor that will become NECESSARY for completing the game. My only complaints about this game are the graphics and sound. The sound of your boots clanking againt the floor can get repetitive at best and aggravating at worst. The graphics and sound are what keep this otherwise great game from earning 5 stars, in my estimation.

I bought this game only because of the anime series, I did not know what to expect at the bargin... So let's get to the point, I never played a game with so much depth and freedom to roam around.To me what was really cool is that you can put inscriptions on your weapons and armor. I liked the fact when your in an area, like most games and you kill anything and everything in sight and you leave and come back the enimes are not there and you can walk around and say to your self that's it,but in this game they were back ten times fold.To all my fellow gamers you should take up the the challenge of this great highly forgotten and wonderful game.

You play as a hero from the past brought to life again thanks to Wart, one of the six legendary heroes of Lodoss. He warns that Wagnard, an evil wizard, plans on resurrecting the evil goddess Kardice. Your mission is to find and help different characters from the anime, such as Parn and Deedlit. You will notice that the story line is much different from the anime series, being that Karla is actually helping Wagnard in the resurrection of Kardice. After you briefing from Wart, you will soon capture a goblin fortress and become its ruler. Before entering into the fortress you will meet a dwarven blacksmith, whom you can name. Which leads us to the weapon system. It is excellent and unique. You will find ancient inscriptions all across Marmo, then you will be able to inscribe them into your sword, shield, helmet, and armor. Some inscriptions can give you resistance to spells and others might give you an advantage against golems. Your dwarven blacksmith will inscribe them for you, being that you have enough mithril. There are two sub-plots along with the main plot that will keep you busy for some time. The endings are also based upon your replies to the different characters that you meet. It is defiantly a Diablo styled game, but with a rich story and a unique weapon system. A must have game for Lodoss fans and Diablo fans!

This game is a lot of fun, it really lets you customize yourself and has a great system. Graphics and CG animations are terrific. Now the downside: It's nearly impossible. I have never heard of and RPG where a level 99 character still dies in the outworld. But you will in this. About 3000 enemies ambush you from all sides and stand around you just pounding. Forget the fact that you can do 2000 hit points of damage, you can barely attack. The game is beatable, but if you are easily frustrated...well, you may end up breaking it.

Thanks for reading my first review here on Amazon. I normally don't review stuff like this online but I can't get this game out of my head. I've had my jaw hit the floor more times in the first couple hours than I've ever had in an entire game before. When people describe this game as epic, they are not just using some cliche word everyone on the internet throws around. The cover of God of War 3 should be in the dictionary next to the word.

First, I highly suggest anyone new to the series to go ahead and pick up the God of War Collection. It is some of the best the PS2 has to offer for only $30. It will bring you up to date on the story and help you get aquainted with the combat system so you can jump right into part 3 no problem. This brings me to my next point, difficulty. I'm hearing the term "button-masher" thrown around quite a lot in regards to this game and while this might be true for the easy and normal difficulties, it couldn't be further from the truth on Titan (hard) mode. Having beaten the two previous games recently, I started GoW3 on Titan difficutly. There is no way you can spam the same combos and expect to make it anywhere. For those familiar with the previous instances of God of War, or for you hack-n-slash pros out there, I highly suggest starting off on Titan mode. This will provide a much greater challenge and get you ready to play on Chaos mode after you've unlocked it.

For the most part, the gameplay remains unchanged from the previous titles. If it ain't broke don't fix it right? However, there are a few differences that greatly enhance the experiece. For starters, the QTEs now put the button prompts in relation to their location on the controller (triangle appears at the top of the screen, X on the bottom ect.). This allows the player to view whatever violent act Kratos is performing at the time without having the button prompt cover it all. Another great change is the ability to switch weapons on the fly, mid combo. This allows for a lot of creativiy to be used in how you dispatch each enemy. Lastly, one of my favorite additions to the combat system is the combat grapple. Kratos will fling both blades into an enemy and pull himself towards them. This greatly increases combo variety and makes it easier to string together lots and lots of hits.

When it comes to presentation in video games, God of War 3 takes the cake. You can tell a lot of work was put into making the game look amazing. I must have spent the first 10 minutes just staring at how detailed Kratos looks. The boss battles and level design redefine what scale is in games today. Some people might be put off by the fixed camera, but this allows the directors of the game to give you breathtaking views and truly show off all the hard work they put into making this one of the most visually pleasing experiences you will ever have. All the trailers and screens you could watch won't hold a candle to how this game looks live on a nice 1080p TV set.

In closing, God of War 3 is one of most amazing experiences you can find in gaming today. Other games might have a little more depth to their combat systems, but none of them put together the entire package of gameplay, graphics, sound, story, and overall fun. If you've been on the edge about picking up a PS3, let Kratos make that decision for you. Do yourself a favor and BUY this game!!!

If you don't then you will be missing out on, easily, one of GREATEST games of all time! I thought I was blown away by Uncharted 2. I was but I am even more so with God Of War 3. Unbelievably, God Of War 3 floored me from the 30 minute opening sequence to the mind blowing finale. How did Sony Santa Monica pull this off? The SCALE of this game will boggle the mind and make your jaw hit the floor! When I first played the demo some 3 months ago I was in awe. After having played through every luscious drop of GOW 3 I am spellbound beyond belief. If I could only use one word to describe this game: EPIC! Remember the old home arcade system Neo Geo and SNK's motto for it "Bigger, Badder, Better"? This applies to GOW 3 in spades.

Upon first sight of GOW 3 you'll notice that the high def graphics are probably the best, on any system anywhere, computer gaming rigs included. Sony really tapped into the "true" power of the PS3 with this one. Some of the things I saw in this game is making me think it was all a dream because it just isn't possible in games, right? Wrong. Seeing the gigantic titans filling up the whole screen in perfect graphical splendor, on a 50 in. plasma, all the while Kratos is scaling it, and fighting a boss(Poseidon) on it, is completely amazing. Gamers, this is what we live for! The detail of not just the titans, the environments, and the Ghost of Sparta himself, but the minor enemies, such as the skeleton warriors, is astonishing. And seeing 15 or so of these skeleton warriors pile on Kratos and then seeing him violently power them off is unbelievably cool and empowering. It almost makes you feel like a god! The sheer power you feel controlling Kratos and watching him annihilate everything in his path in the name of vengeance will cast a spell over you.

The combat control is much the same as before, if not better. In other words, the control is flawless and if ain't broke don't fix it philosphy applies here. There are timed button presses for the boss battles(quick timed events). And bosses there will be. Some of them are absolutely enormous, such as Hades. Dealing death to the bosses is quite a sight. Impale them. Check! Rip off body parts. Check! Let blood and guts flow like a river. Check! This is one of the goriest and most violently graphic games I've seen. EVER! Kratos can still have sex in GOW 3! Always a welcome addition. Even one scene with a goddess! I think what might impress me most besides the scale of the game, is the number of enemies that can be on screen at one time. At times, there had to be close to 50 or more on screen. That is incredible considering it's running at 60 FPS the entire time with no slowdown. All of that even when there are cyclopses and minotaurs on the same screen, along with a titan in the background. Ridiculously amazing!

The story, sadly, was the most disappointing part of the game. It seemed a bit convoluted; like too much was going on with too many different characters. The story is not bad mind you and it`s easy to follow, it just feels like it's taking a major backseat to everything else. Still, it takes nothing away from the greatness of GOW 3. The puzzles in the game are challenging without being overly so and some of them very clever and ingenious. More than a few I was a bit stumped by. All in all it took me about 10 to 12 hours to roll through this masterpiece. I don't really remember how long it took me to go through each of the first two, so I can't compare length. While a bit short, for my taste, it was still one hell of a magnificent ride! The camera still can't be controlled by the player, but that has never bothered me and I think it was put to even better use this time around. It seems the angles and various shots are Hollywoodesque, if that makes any sense.

Weapons! The Cestus easily steals the show of the several new ones that you'll earn. The Cestus is completely WICKED! The combo moves are spectacular and more so than ever before and you can now swap weapons on the D-pad in the middle of one. When surrounded by a bunch of baddies and knowing you have different button options to pound the pulp out of them is especially gratifying. The use of the bow and arrow is easy and very useful. Very cool shooting the harpies with it and grabbing on to them to further your progress across chasms or to the top of places well out of your reach. I like the fact that now the bow quickly recharges after each use. I love being able to pick up enemies and charge with them, using them as a battering ram on other baddies. Completely awesome! Controlling the cyclops is amazing as well; swinging him around and pulping your enemies is gleefully sadistic. It must be experienced! You level up your health and magic much the same way as the two previous GOW's via feathers, stones, and now, minotaur horns.

The music is excellent! But hasn't the music always been excellent in the series? The voice acting IMHO is top notch. Seems even better than before. The action and pace of the game are relentless. Something new(and amazing) and unique is always happening to keep you glued to the screen; even if it happens only once. There is so much more I could go on talking about with this stunning, amazing, and breathtaking game known as God Of War 3, but I`d be here for a while and then you`d be bored;)

I don't care what genre of games you like or whether or not you even like GOW 3 type games, this is a game that absolutely MUST be experienced. I won't say this is my favorite game of all time, but it's right there at the top with Uncharted 2, Modern Warfare 2, Metal Gear 4, and Resident Evil 4. I don't care if you have to get an extra job(gulp), rob a convenient store(gasp) or steal if off your friend(yeah!) you have got to get this SOON! I've been playing games for 30+ years(since the days of Colecovision) and I've never been this AMAZED by a game! There is so much diversity, so much to see, so much so tightly packed in such a spectacular game that it will make you wonder how they pulled it oof. Folks, the next generation of gaming has arrived and I am stunned, blown away, mesmerized and spellbound by what Sony Santa Monica created. My hat goes off to them for they are a TRULY talented team! Kudos of accolades go to Stig Asmussen for his brilliant direction of this game and for making it so much more than I thought possible.

This seems to be the end of this GOW saga and I hope we'll see more of Kratos in the future, because this is only a scratch on the video game surface of the great things the future could hold for the Ghost of Sparta. I am truly moved!

SIDE NOTE(or bottom note) I'm not sure why this game was released earlier than it's scheduled March 16th release date. I had originally preordered GOW 3 on Amazon, but after I found I could get it nearly a week earlier on eBay I cancelled my Amazon pre-order. Not that I'm complaining about any of that. The same thing happened with Modern Warfare 2. I'd like to know how people are getting these games so early. The guy I bought my copy from on eBay said he'd had his copies since March 6th,. He wouldn't elaborate as to where he got them. I received mine on March 11th. I had to pay and arm and a leg for it, but it was worth every dime.

I have seen my share of games throughout my life. I'm almost 30 years old and video games have been one of my life's greatest hobbies. I have enjoyed playing video games more than anything else. But never did I dreamed more than 15 yrs ago when playing in an Game Gear from Sega that I would experience such a thing.

God of War 3 is simply breathtaking. It is as epic as any movie. It has no equal in the video game world.

The graphics, the music, the superb gameplay everything combines into a massive juggernaut that will rock you to the core. GOW3 deserves its place among the all time greats like Tetris, Super Mario, etc.

In the hack-n-slash genre, it reigns supreme. In the all-time great, it can be debated if it takes the top spot, but no one will leave this game feeling the same.

We live in a truly amazing World where a treasure such as this can be purchased for such a paltry sum.

I got a PS3 for this game, great investment; reality i am just starting the game, but man in the first chapter is bar none the best graphics i have ever seen in a video game, yes even Uncharted 2 and Mass Effect2 ; and the gameplay is godly smooth, well i will update the review later on , but until now is incredible and awesome, i never thought i will see this types of greatness in my time. Buy it guys , if you dont own a PS3 is about time you get it , you are missing one unique experience.

First of all to the bad reviews, I think these people are only upset because it IS NOT the america's next top model that you see on tv. sure there is no tv or mrs and mr jay or anyone normal but it is still models getting fit, eating, and battling with eachother to to win. each week your names get called and someone gets eliminated. the game is really fun. you can go shopping, get in fights, actually trip on the catwalk/runway if u mess up, and its very realistic as far as what you can do. everyday your model has to eat and workout and dress differently. u can do her hair and it is very fun. even challenging at some points because u have to find people around the villa and it gets hard. BUT i love it. Even if you are expecting Tyra and everyone else this game still has the same concept. And the model is easy to control with the nunchuck. I personally love it and there are people everywhere to talk to. FYI, im 19 :)

My 14 year old daughter loves Top Model but was disappointed that this game was nothing like the show. None of the regular cast are in the game and it is more like the Sims. She was so upset I ended up buying her Project Runway instead which she loves.

It was a fun game to play and my personal thoughts are the graphics could have been betteralso you could play the game sitting on a chairit isn't very interactive. And the game does NOT follow the show with Tyra banks. In fact Tyra is not in the video game.

Off the bat, the controller looked pretty cool. The box it comes in is pretty stylish. It may look bulky compared to the original PS3 controller but it feels great. The nubs cave in instead of out, the L2 and R2 buttons are more like triggers, and the side grips give the controller a good feel. It even comes with two special buttons underneath that change the light colors and provides an alternate way to use certain buttons (think of it like having 2 "X" buttons or 2 L3 buttons). The battery on this thing is RIDICULOUS. I've gone more than a week of average gaming without charging it. There are a couple of downsides, but they're not HUGE. The placement of the START, SELECT and HOME buttons is kind of weird. There are times when I'm playing a game and my left thumb accidentally touches the HOME button. It gets annoying but it doesn't happen often. Also it has no vibration function, which sucks but you'll live.

The bottom buttons are very handy and a good controller all the way around. I use the advantage Elite controller accesory most the time but my friends use this controller whenever they com over to splitscreen play and they all love it.

This was a good buy, and is very good controller. I really like the green color. The rubber grip feels good in the hand, and there are no dead zone issues.

This controller does however have a few annyoing flaws. There is no sixaxis support, which can be an issue in some game, -1 star. Also, there is no way to disable the extra buttons on the bottom of the controller. I have big hands, and I always accidently hit these buttons in the heat of the action. The only thing I can do to fix this is set them to control the illumination of the sticks instead of mimicking a PS button. That way when I bump them all that happens is the LEDs change color or shut off. No big deal really, but it is annoying, -1 star for that.

I haven't bought anything Mad Catz brand since the XBOX 1/PS2 era. I figured they should have improved by now and have decent controllers, i was dead wrong. for a long time i wanted to buy the PS3 F.P.S pro after buying the controller for xbox and let me tell you one thing

it rocks

if you're too used to the xbox setup don't worry, you can get used to it

let me summrise

PROS:

-lightwight

-soft rubber coating excellent for long gaming sessions

-soft silicon grip to make sure that your grip on the controller stays good even if you're sweaty

-cave in analog sticks just like the xbox one (the mushroom type on the duelshock is unacceptable)

-the extra buttons underneth the controller are the best feature of this controller and they are easy to access

-triggers are excellent for shooters

CONS

-no vibrtion really :(

-no sixaxis (it's not that bad)

-twin analog sticks (for love of god it's made for shooters why the twin analog sticck formation??)

-buttons can be get burried pretty easily if you mash them too much
