Bought this to keep up with my kids when we play COD, I needed to level the playing field! Well, not just for that reason. We bought this when they started bringing their friends over to play so that everyone could play together. My kids are always bugging me to play COD with them when their friends aren't around, and they always destroy me. My son suggested to use the "mod" and they will use normal controllers. They still always beat me, but at least I don't lose AS badly. They seem to enjoy the more difficult competition when I'm using the "mod". This controller seems to have a better feel to it than their other normal controller as well, not sure what it could be but it definitely feels like it is built better.

Works as described although at times switching between modes can lose connection to the xbox. Also some of the seams are different sizes than others so it appears as if the colored pieces were put in crooked. While these dont really affect the use of the controller, they still bug me a tad.

the mod works, quality is sub par to MS. Returned first one due to being assembled off center which made it uncomfortable to hold. Replacement was received a couple weeks later and had a better alignment but not near 100%, also other issues. i.e. Thumb sticks are too big and get stuck in any particular direction you press them. D-pad isn't as responsive as it should be. The first one very well could have had the same issues, I didnt use it before it was sent back. Unfortunately I wasn't able to return the second one due to personal issues and now I just have a very expensive xbox controller paper-weight. Only reason I gave two stars was because the communication was very good from the seller and I probably could have gotten a refund or another replacement had I had the opportunity. Still, not something I would recommend.

This controller is so cool, my old one broke and I'm glad I bought this one. I play Call of Duty a lot so the mod really helps. The FAL is like a machine gun with the mod on, it was easy to use and came with instructions, and it even came in this cool packaging that the company made, it was in packaging just like a normal controller you buy at the store is in. Professional and great value.

I followed the instructions on here and tried some other stuff online. Spent about 2 hours trying to get it to synch and it just wouldn't work. Bought he genuine product from MSFT for $45 and all is now well. This may have worked for some folks but it was dicey for me.

I was personally running Windows 8, so that may have been part of the issue.

This receiver works great! It was a little difficult to set it up since you need an externally powered USB port but it works perfectly!

Plugged it in, followed the directions for installing (the ones in the product discription on the web site) and my xbox 360 controler found it and started working. The little disk that came with it was broken in half inside the box, but as it turns out, you don't need it so I didn't care.

I am a long time fan of this series. I got Ninja Gaiden back in 2004, then when the Hurricane Pack add-ons came out I participated in the Worldwide tournment and placed in the Top 40 and won a very rare Ninja Gaiden T-shirt (that I wear rarely but proudly to this day). I purchased Ninja Gaiden: Black in the waning days of the xbox. I got Ninja Gaiden:Sigma when it came out for PS3 (no controller rumble still bothers me to this very day). I purchased Ninja Gaiden 2 and the resulting Sigma 2. With all those games there was a constant....it was a foundation built by T. Itagaki and his veteran team at Team Ninja. Problem is that he left Tecmo after the completion of NG 2 and successfully sued the Tecmo president at the time. He later formed Vahalla Studios and recruited many of the best to leave Team Ninja to work on Devil's Third. The result of all this shows in this latest Ninja Gaiden game.

Ninja Gaiden 3 has a new lead director in Hayashi and let me just say that in his attempt to more casualize this series, he has stripped everything that made Ninja Gaiden great. All the RPG elements are gone like multiple weapon types with available upgrades. All the different ninpo attacks, which were upgradeable as well. The orb currency system that allowed for weapon upgrades is gone and so is the strategic gameplay that combined the switching between the different weapons and the collection of rare red orbs that refilled your ninpo attacks is missing. Also health orb collection has been switched to an auto health regen system. The move set is substantially small because of the lack of weapons like the Lunar staff, Wooden sword, Vigorian Flairs, Nunchukas, Scythe, Claws, etc, etc. The minimal exploration of chests in previous games is also absent.

I don't understand Hayashi's thinking in so simplfying Ninja Gaiden as they couldn't possibly be so out of touch to not know this would alienate their fanbase. The very fanbase that supported this series in the past and creating the game to more appeal to casual players is questionible because I don't think they cared about this series in the first place.

In summary Hayashi has gutted the Ninja Gaiden experience down to a simplistic repetitive experieince which will be annoying and unsatisfying for fans of the series and will prove boring to casual gamers within a couple hours. I will say that the Steel on Bone quick camera pan in's are fun at first but after a couple dozen of those in the first 30 mins it will become dizzying to watch because it happens so so fast and repeatedly that a new seizure warning along with a No Skills Required label should be placed on the back of the box. The story and combat is shallow and unrewarding. The mulitplayer is a couple hour throw away experience at best and there is no incentive to return to this title.

There is no sense of mastering your techiniques and combos because the game does not promote creativity within the move sets for different gamers to apply different techinques to come up with varying playing styles....this game reduces combat to hammering the X button for the win.

I am extremely disappointed with Hayashi and his vision. I am also offended as a fan of this series, that NG3 has been gutted from previous games in the series to a point that it is a mindless unrewarding hack n slash that becomes boring and unsatisfying within a couple hours. It is not recommended as a buy for fans of the series or casual players. It is not recommended as a rental for fans unless you want disappointment. I will recommend a rental to casual players if you like mindless hack n slash games requiring no skills or thought in what your doing. This series used to be challenging and rewarding, but this title has none of that.

I have much history and love for this series, but I have to say that I am no longer interested in this franchise with Hayashi at the helm unless some major changes are made in the next game. There is a huge weight on Tecmo and Team Ninja's shoulders if that want my hard earned dollars from future titles.

First off, I'm a huge Ninja Gaiden fan since Itagaki and Team Ninja resurrected the series for modern gaming. I have not only Ninja Gaiden and Ninja Gaiden 2 but Ninja Gaiden Black along with Sigma 1 and Sigma 2. I'm also someone who is a huge enthusiast for this gaming subgenrea. I have Devil May Cry 1-4, Bayonetta, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, God of War 1-3, Ninja Blade, Dante's Inferno and a host of others. I've experience some of the best all the way to the mediocre. I'm not a guru by any means but still an enthusiast. The thing is Itagaki and the REAL Team Ninja aren't there anymore. He and all the leads left because of that fiasco at Tecmo. Love Itagaki or hate him, he really knows how to make these games awesome. But I'm not here to discuss my opinion on difference on the development teams.

I must say that I'm very disappointed with this entry in the series. I've always regarded the original Ninja Gaiden and Ninja Gaiden 2 as the gold standard for this type of game. I'm just quickly getting out the minor details out of the way. While technically, I'm not super impressed, it's not the reason why I'm really disgusted with this entry. The graphics and sounds are fine. Not amazing, but not really too bad to the point that it's hard to look at. Another part of the presentation is the story which doesn't really impress me either, but old or new Team Ninja, story was never their strong point. It was there to give the game structure but not be a majory selling point.

My primary gripe honestly resolved around the changes in the gameplay, which is what made the first 2 entries in the series great. People always complained about the camera, but it was a minor problem at the most. What gets me though is the horrible level design. The previous games have large areas where there are some things to wall run along and do other stunts while also having plenty of room to deal out death. This new game it seems to like to put the player in a small to medium sized pen where guys come from behind obstacles like crashed cars until it feels you're ready to move on. There's no flow of combat with the area. No long hallways or large ballrooms or temple courtyards to flip or wall-run through. It's just a one level small pen. Which not much room to maneuver to be able to do your moves.

The gameplay also feel sluggish and unresponsive. I found too many times that I was trying to turn Ryu or get him to flip out of a group of enemies or use specific combinations but it seems to not respond properly. There were times that I wanted him to fight a specific target and he wanted to look at someone else which would lead me to actually get hit. Even when I could gaet him to do what I want, it was slow and just didn't seem responsive. But that doeasn't matter because honestly this game is super easy even when it's not the "hero" mode the new developers talked about so much. In the previous games, if you button mashed, you learned that hardway and died. This game, you just get a gentle smack. There's no reward or satisfaction to doing something difficult because it's handed to you. The flow of combat seems off too. In the 1st Ninja Gaiden. It was focused on a target with a small of other other guys to go after. You almost had this nice way of focusing on a target yet can untangle then group or go after his friend. Ninja Gaiden 2 really improved it too where there was a fluid motion of engaging an enemy and finishing him then moving onto the next enemy withing a large group of enemies. It felt almost as though you could chain the fight into one large string of combos if you timed it well enough. Here it seems messy. Fights are somewhat chaotic but not in a good way. It was as though the 3rd game took both battle elements of the previous two games but made a mess of it. Nothing seemed to work right. Along with the sluggish controls, engagements just don't seem to have good pacing to do combos or to switch targets. The handling and gameplay elements just seem off to me. compared to other games in thie genre and even in this series.

Now, Quick Time Events or QTE. I always hated these in God of War. I feel that they are a lazy way for developers to do over the top sequences without really making it part of the gameplay. I do find them done some ways where it's tasteful but for action games, I feel they are more detracting that fun. Games like Bayonetta and the new Castlevania overall kept these to a minimum which is what I like. I just don't find it fun doing a DDR rhythm game when I should be setting up combos to own a group of enemies. They're more there to distract the casual ADD gamer more than anything I think.

A couple of other things I want to go through would be the lame gameplay gimmicks like the kunai climbing which is not only boring but doesn't seem to really have been done well at all. But maybe they wanted to distract us from the monotony. Another is the lack of decapitations. Personally, it's not just gore for gore's sake but more along the lines of gore that looks awesome because of the very nature of what ninja combat is. It's an great viseral aestetic of the nature of the game.

I could go on about other things but I think the bulk of what a long-time, hardcore Ninja Gaiden fan like myself needed to say was said and frankly I don't want to write a whole essay on this. There are others who elaborate about why we feel this game was a bit insulting to the fans of the series. We laments the disappointment that this latest entry is and in some ways I want to dream that Itagaki and the real Team Ninja would come back to save this beloved franchise one day.

So a brief history. Years ago I bought the first NG for xBox, played it a couple of times, and put it away because I couldn't get past the first level, it was so challenging. Then about a year later I went back and tried it..and beat it, and was hooked ever since. NG2, and the Sigma PS3 games...I completed them all. So when NG3 was announced, I looked forward to it with as much anticipation as Mass Effect 3 (which is a story for another day!).

CUT SCENES/MOVIES

Now I realize what the new development team was trying to do, they wanted to make Ryu a little more human, accessible...but in doing so they completely destroyed his mystique. The endless banter from the NPOs got annoying as well. It's almost like they were trying to make a Devil May Cry game, not a NG game. If they had made Ryu spout wise-cracks like Dante, I really would have been upset!! Not to mention some of the most ridiculous one-liners I can think of: "Oh yeah, I forgot you're a Ninja..."

GAMEPLAY:

Here is the secret to this game: Hold the Lfft trigger, and mash the Attack button..end of story. The beatuy of the counter attack, FLying sparrow, Inuza drop (sp) and other combos are essentially rendered useless as you DON'T EVER NEED THEM.

The great thing about 1 and 2 was that you never knew what was around the corner..was it a boss? mini-boss? a horde of demons? A battalion of RPG soldiers? As such you had to be on your guard. In NG3, the game simply funnels enemies to you..slash them...oh here are some more of the same..slash them..and more...and having to deal with their ridiculous vocalizations.....and why were the developers so obsessed with helicopters in this game??

NO decapitation or dismemberment...one of the coolest things was seeing a guy with no arm still come after you with almost the same aggression, allowing Ryu to finish him mercifully (or mercilessly).

WEAPONS/NINPO:

in NG1 and NG2, ninpo was almost a character in itself. It was invaluable, and many times could save your life, or at least allow RYU to control the combat, it allowed a reprieve so that Ryu could change tactics...in NG3 it has been reduced to gratuitous eye candy and a cheap way to clear the screen, plus it became a one shot deal, very disappointing!

All the extra weapons are gone (and each weapons' ultra cool finishing move)...WHY???

SUMMARY:

The new team has destroyed a once proud franchise and turned it into a very generic experience, that is minimally enjoyable experience..and downright boring and repetitive. I actually caught myself yawning once or twice during gameplay!

if there is a NG4, I hope they realize what made this series great: lighting quick controls and gameplay requiring thought and strategy, varied enemies which have to be approached differently and with different tactics, the mystique of Ryu..and variety

with NG3 we get none of these.

This game is garbage at best. No wonder it got reviews such as 3/10 in IGN.

1. The game combat is extremely unfair. You have to fight dozens and dozens of enemies at once without regaining any health in the process, so if you get killed, you're screwed. You will only get health once you finish the fight.

2. Not very tactical. All you do is smash the buttons to fight the enemies over and over again, there's nothing tactical about this game, at all. You can't surprise enemies, throw a smoke bomb and take them all out at once, nothing.

3. Where is the story of this game ? Some bad guys at London say that they want to fight you, you travel to London and you're all of the sudden fighting a huge mechanical spider ? Later to fight a giant a giant T-REX ? Give me a break.

All in all, don't buy this game. Save the $40-50 and go buy some gas at the pump. You'll thank me later.

I have been a hardcore NG fan since the nes days. This game is a slap in the face to any fan of the series. QTE events , lethargic AI , etc etc. I hope you all fall on your swords. This game is an abominiation of an action game. God of War has other traits that allow them to get by with these shortcuts , NG is all about impossibility and gore. This game has neither. Man up , pull this game from sale , and FIX IT.

A sequel that everyone's been waiting for, for nearly four years.

When the original Kingdom Hearts was released, many gamers initially dismissed it as "childish." Upon actually playing it though, many of the naysayers were turned around, and realized that the game was actually pretty good. I was one of the group who actually was looking forward to the game from the start back since 2001, and was incredibly pleased with the results. I've been looking forward to the sequel for some time now, and needless to say, was not disappointed.

The story involves Sora, Donald, and Goofy finally returning after the events of the GBA's Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories. It seems as if the quest of finding King Mickey and Riku is nearing, which means that so is our trio's journey. However, it isn't long before they're sent on another journey, this time to not only defeat the Heartless, but also mysterious creatures called the Nobodies, led by a group called Organization XIII. It all gets crazy from there.

And how can I descripe the sound? The music for example, is once again incredibly fun to listen to, and still retains the Disney spirit like the first game. There's even a few returning themes from KH1. And the voices? Well, they're just as topnotch as always. Everyone is great, from returning regulars such as Haley Joel Osment as Sora, to new additions such as Jesse McCartney as newcomer Roxas. And let's forget the well-established cast of Disney voices, who are once again spot on.

And the battle system... hoo boy. The first one was a fairly simple one with attacks, jumps, and quick magic spells. This one ups it all with tons of more combat options. There are new reaction commands that'll help you out, for example, knocking the blast of an enemy back into them, combination attacks with other characters, and the ability to fuse into one warrior with Donald or Goofy that turns Sora into an all-out powerhouse. It makes combat become frantic and incredibly fun.

Kingdom Hearts 2 is an excellent video game, a worthy sequel, and more than worth buying. Get it! Get it now!

Let's be honest. On paper, the idea behind Kingdom Hearts sounds like Square-Enix's money wet dream. Take Final Fantasy, a franchise that has more otaku's than most out there, and add in Disney, another franchise that has a ton of fans and followers. Meld them together and bam. Insta-money. Well, it worked for them. They raked in a ton of money. But, it worked for gamers like me.

There's a moment early on in the game where the Blue Fairy from Sleeping Beauty gives the main character something new (I'm purposefully being nebulous) then says "You'll need it because your adventure will be twice as difficult" as the last. If only that were true. Kingdom Hearts II is a mix of great and not-so-great. And I know my review is going to be pounded into the ground with so many unhelpful votes but I have to be the dissenting opinion in this case.

The game begins by force-feeding you mini-games. Uninspired, boring, repetitive mini-games that you HAVE to play. You are required to gain 800 munny (the currency) and, in order to do so, you have to take jobs (read: mini games) and you will get paid upon your skill. There are three levels of payment, 10, 30 and 50. Do the math and you'll see that, depending on your ability, you will do these mini-games 16-80 times in order to gain the required munny. They aren't necessarily difficult by any means, but it comes off as needless filler.

Speaking of filler, while I think the prologue is necessary and probably has a very important relevance to the plot of the series, I was so ready for the prologue (which is a meaty 3 hours or so) to finally get out of the way so I could actually begin to play the main plot of the story. I'm happy to say, that once you leave Twilight Town the story finally picks up. I haven't finished the game, not even close I don't think, but the story is finally getting interesting. And much more enjoyable than the first.

Going back to the difficulty comment, the game is not difficult at all. In fact, I have been able to set the controller down, keep hitting "X" and not pay attention to what's happening on screen. The result? All of the enemies dead, and me with full life. This is accomplished by the fact that enemies drop a ton of health refills and the game is just too easy. And, I have the difficult set up to the max (there's 3 levels). I can only imagine the lower difficulties. Now, I do know that this game is made to be enjoyed by kids and adults alike. I perfectly understand that and the need for having a very easy difficulty so that Square-Enix can maximize their audience. But, when the highest level difficulty results to me just hitting down X...I'm disappointed.

Which is too bad. Like some reviewers have said, KH2 utilizes a much much better battle system than the previous titles. The most important change is complete control over the camera with the Right stick. No more shoulder button pressing. But now, also, the summons are different and better, the new abilities to meld with one of your teammates to do amazing amounts of damage, and other similar upgrades. The AI is also much better this time around and your teammates won't waste as many of your items as before. All of these make the game easier but more fun. Unfortunately, with the difficulty already set to a very low standard, problems arise.

There are some cool additions though. They definitely stole from games like God of War and Resident Evil 4 with the triangle button presses. Some areas are like interactive cutscenes ala the boss fights in God of War. They are cool and fun. Not as awesome as some in God of War, but still quite exciting. And they throw some change into the mix. The gummi ship has also been muchly improved, thankfully.

I also wish we were exploring more new territories. Sure, some of the territories here are really awesome, Tron and Steamboat Willy come directly to mind, but why must we continue to tread through repeats of the first game? Yes, I know the story is set to do that. But there are so many different disney zones that could have been used. Where is The Black Cauldron? Also, after you've revisted the places...you're going back to them again! Yes, there are changes, but you're going back to them. It seems awfully lazy.

One thing I'm always amazed in is Square's ability to maximize their console to create the best product they can graphically. While if you compare the game to the next Gen systems, the aliasing problems are through the roof at times, the animation style is terrific. Everyone moves so fluid that you can easily forget at times you are watching polygons not a hand drawn animation. Its absolutely beautiful to look at. But the one thought going through my mind is, man what will they be able to do on the next gen systems?

The sound is also really well orchestrated and utilized. The voice actors range from Haley Joel Osment to Ron Perlman to Christopher Lee to Sean Astin to just a ton of voice actors. Its really amazing. Its disappointing that some of the cast from Pirate of the Carribean didn't contribute ("scheduling conflicts") except, most notably, Geoffrey Rush.

I haven't beaten the game yet. My review could possibly change as I progess. I just wanted to get some of the important things out there to help people decide. Honestly, most of these reviews are going to be pointless. The majority of those who played the first one will undoubtably be right back on board with this one, reviews be damned. I know I was. I really like the game. Don't get me wrong. The story is absolutely excellent (once we got past the boring prologue) and I love what I'm playing and its fun to see the Disney franchise used in this way (by the way, you might want to pick up chain of Memories and play it (if you can) before playing this game. The plot directly relates to some events of that game). I do think that there are some problems, most notably in terms of the difficulty range that can reduce the game to button mashing without thought. But, really, I'm in it for the story and the remembrances of childhood.

Not a 4 star game, but not a 5 star. If I could, it would be 4.5. Kingdom Hearts II is a good game that will delight most, if not all, of its fans. Its detractors will still fume about the problem. But, if you played the first one, you're doing yourself a great disservice by not picking this up.

Very rarely does a sequel out do the original, but Kingdom Hearts II manages to do it. Not only does this improve on many aspects of the original, but it utilizes the same formula that worked very well in the first game.

Once again you'll play as Sora visiting different sets of Disney worlds. Each Disney world has its own plot that is very similar to that of the movies. Some lines are even ripped straight from the movies. That's not such a bad thing, of course. At least for Disney fanatics.

There's no doubt Kingdom Hearts II definitely improves on the gameplay. Yes, it is still the same old hack and slash battle system of the original. And yes, when you go into a world you'll go with Donald and Goofy, and be given a character to substitute. There have been a few additions, however, and they're welcome. These tweaks have obviously been tuned up by Square-Enix. Aside from being able to cast numerous spells and summon other disney characters, Kingdom Hearts II introduces limit breaks. Where your entire party will perform a devastating attack. It drains all your MP (of every character) but it's pretty darn powerful, and helps out. The game also introduces drives which will have you combining with other characters to perform some devastating attacks. These additions are welcome to the universe of Kingdom Hearts, despite the fact that the game is so easy you probably won't need them. However, whenever there are small tweaks made to the gameplay they're welcome so long as it keeps the game interesting.

There is a whole new set of Disney worlds introduced in Kingdom Hearts II. Including the first Disney cartoon Steamboat Willie and Pirates of the Caribbean. Each world, as I've noted has a smiliar plot and voice over to the movies. This isn't so bad because the disney characters actually sound like their disney characters. This is another strength of Kingdom Hearts II. There's an all star voice-over cast. You'll recognize the voices of characters and they're spot on. For a game with as many voices as Kingdom Hearts, it's certainly nice to see that not a single voice is lackluster. Some of the dialogue comes directly from the movies, and this probably won't bother Disney fanatics either.

Although, for Square-Enix fans, I can't say the same for the Final Fantasy aspect of the game. Final Fantasy characters aren't nearly as well fleshed out as Disney characters. It's great that they're here and all, but they don't play an integral part in the storyline, and they're often given bad dialogue. It's the only moment where you'll question Kingdom Hearts II.

Graphically the game is solid. Being one of the best looking on the Playstation 2. Everything is vibrant and colorful and definitely has a great appeal. Especially to people who enjoy Disney. They've got the big feet, gloves and everything. The final fantasy characters also look really good. Even though some may not like that some of them look a little kiddie, it isn't really anything to be too upset about. It's only keeping with the style of the game.

Musically Kingdom Hearts II sounds great. Most tunes you'll instantly recognize from your favorite Disney movie, and it'll be no surprise if you find yourself humming these tunes. If you love Disney music, you'll love the music of this game. The outside tunes also sound really great.

Rarely is a second installment better than the first. Kingdom Hearts II succeeds by improving the gameplay, and fixing a few things that kept the first one down such as the horrible camera angles. While it could've used a bit more Final Fantasy influence, Kingdom Hearts II is a solid game. Those who loved the first one will fall in love all over again with the second one.

Kingdom Hearts was one of the all-time best video games ever created, thus creating Kingdom Hearts 2.

This game continues Sora's quest from Kingdom Hearts, and Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories. Sora, Donald, and Goofy, attempt to find King Mickey, and during their journey, they come across may worlds in which they explore. These worlds include some old favorites, such as Holloween Town, Agrabah, and Atlantica. New levels include Port Royal (Pirates of the Carribean), Tron, Land of the Dragons (Mulan), Steamboat Willie, Deep Dive City, and Twilight Town.

In the beginning of the game, KH2 introduces a new playable character know as Roxas. His little story mode only lasts for about 3 hours however, and is basically a toturial for newer players to learn to play. After that, you play as Sora for the remainder of the game.

As Sora, you meet mysterious Hooded people called the Organization 13, who are up to something for you to find out :)

Time to get technical. Kingdom Hearts has many new improvements. Here are a few that I'd like to point out.

PROS

1) The camera is much improved from the first game. The main change was the buttons used. The first KH used the R2 and L2 buttons, which were slow and not very helpful at most times. Now, the layer controls the camera with the right analog stick, which is much more accurate. It isn't perfect however. When you are fighting a fast enemy, or near a wall, the camera may not work. Don't get me wrong though, it's an awesome improvement.

2) Sora now knows drive bar moves, which are very powerful combos. With it, you can deal lots of damage to a spacious area. You can also fuse with Donald and/or Goofy to power up even more!

3) The game graphics are perfect. It really pushes the old PS2 system to it's limits. YOur game play should not be disruptted from this though. The worlds are awesome 3D worlds with nice colorful enemies.

4) The Gummiship is a lot better too!!! For KH fans, many hated the Gummiship. Now it's much faster paced. You fight tons of enemies from all directions, all at the same time, making for a better challenge and loads more fun! There are many upgrades to choose from too, so there are endless ways to customize your ship. Also, for people not big in making their own ship, KH2 has premade blueprints to use. During the gummiship flight, you can also fight bosses. There is also multiple ways to reach a destination, not just a straight path. Lastly, you can keep track of your Gummiship high scores! This is a great thing to do if you find yourself a little board with the main story.

5) Another big thing that bugged people in KH was the cutscenes. If you've seen them already or don't care to watch them, or if you are in a rush to find a save point, too bad. You had to watch the cut scenes. KH2 changed that too. To skip a cutscene, just hit start and go down to "skip cutscene." I loved that change.

6) Jiminy's Journel is extened and more detailed.

7) The game has great replay value (about 100 hours if beaten 100%) to keep you busy for awhile.

Too good to be true, right? Right. KH2 isn't perfect.

Cons

1) KH2 seems much easier that KH. I mean much easier. As you level up and learn nice combos and magic, the Heartless/Nobodies surrounding you never really increase their stats. Therefor, one can eliminate his enemies with ease and taking the challenge out. If are/were a huge KH fan and played KH before, I reccomend trying "Proud mode," which is "hard mode."

2) KH2 is an action RPG, but it may have too much action. In KH, magic was required for certain fights. That's not the case with KH2. No magic is neccesary, and neither are the special power combos. All you need to do to get through the game is do some "X mashing."

3) This isn't really important to the plot or gameplay. I did notice though that KH2 had very little scenes with Final Fantasy characters and a little too many scenes with Disney characters.

4) This isn't really reated to plot or gameplay. The characters in KH2 still have "robotic movements." In other words, before a computer character in a cutscene could run, he had to turn. The movement just didn't seem natural. But hey, maybe I'm just being too picky.

5) The story line was a little too tied into the first two Kingdom Hearts games. If you havn't beaten them, or at least played them, you may not get the story.

6) There is little exploring in KH2. In fact, there is very little strategy (except boss fights). The game is fairly straight forward, so if you are looking for an in depth, "I gotta think" game, this isn't the best choice.

7) There are lesson summons and magic abilities than the first KH.

All in all, KH2 is a great gaming experience. I should warn people however, that it is recommended only if you have background of the first two KH games. I few tweaks here and there and KH2 would be perfect. I think anybody could enjoy it, and expect something great. I'd give it 4.5 stars.

This game was amazing. I've played the first game, and this game has many improvements. It has new worlds, new characters, better gameplay, better graphics, length, and one of the best storylines ever to be seen in a videogame.

First of all, I suggest you play Kingdom Hearts 1 before you play this game, because you might not understand everything's that's going on. However, you don't have to play Chain of Memories to understand it. Take it from me, I've only played the first game, not Chain of Memories.

Anyway, the game starts out with you playing as a young boy named Roxas(don't worry, you play as Sora later). He has been having weird dreams and flashbacks that don't appear to be his own. He goes on a quest to find out about the weird stuff that's happening to him, and in the end he finds Sora, Donald and Goofy. Their memories are still returning to them (from the end of Chain of Memories, when they were in those flower pods), and then they wake up, and go on another auest to defeat darkness. Of course, the storyline gets much more complicated and interesting later in the game.

The game does have a few drawbacks, though. First of all, there isn't any platforming in this game. There are still a lot of action, adventure, and RPG elements in the game, but there isn't much platforming. Sure, you do get to jump on a few ledges and stuff like that, but there aren't any long plaforming sequences like in the first game. This didn't really other me, but harcore platforming fans might be disappointed. Also, the difficulty modes are pretty easy, so unless you want to pick the hardest difficulty mode which makes the game very tough in a lot of spots, you might find it as a problem. People have also been complaining that the game is too button-mashy, and that you can get through all the buttons by simply hitting the normal attack button. However, this is not a problem, because all of the magic, reaction commands, drives, special attacks, and other things you get in the game help to distract you from simply hitting the attack button over and over again, so I don't understand why people are complaining about this.

Now, on to the good things in the game. First of all, the graphics are splendid. They have improved over the first game, and they look really great. All of the environments are very detailed, and they look awesome. Every environment has its own special theme. For example, the Tron world is one big computerized world, the steamboat willy world is black-and-white, The atlantic world is one big sea level, etc. Also, the character designs of your party members change according to the world you're in. For example, in the Tron world, everyone will look like robots, in the steamboat willy world, everyone will be black and white and cartoony, etc. Overall, everything looks really great.

The gameplay also improved over the last game. The combat is much better, and you get a lot of new combat abilities. Also, a big difference from the previous game are the reaction commands. At many specific parts in the game, a display of the triangle button on your controller will appear on the screen. If you hit the triangle button at that time, Sora will execute some really cool moves. Some can be simple moves, like spinning around and appearing behind the enemy so you can attack him, but a lot of times you will have to hit the triangle button in a certain sequence to do a very powerful and important action(mostly in boss fights). For example, in one battle, an giant enemy will try to hit you. You then press the triangle button to dodge his attack. Then he grabs you and throws you in the air. You press the button again to dodge his attack and hit him. He then tries to drop you off a ledge, so you hit the button again to save yourself. These sort of things are simple, yet very fun.

Other than the physical combat, you also get magic. Some of the spells you get are Blizzard, which shoots a bolt of ice, Thunder, ehich shoots down a bolt of thunder on your enemies, fire, which spins flames around you in a circle, and more. They're all fun to use, and they can be easily accessed through a shortcut menu in which you map your spells to buttons on your controller. There are also limit attacks in this game. These attacks consume all of your Magic Points(which, by the way, start replenishing by themselves when all of your magic drains), and in these attacks, you and another member of your party execute a very powerful attack which is very useful. You have to use the reaction commands(triangle presses)to execute these attacks, and they're very useful and fun. You also get summoning spells like in the last game, and you can summon one out of four different characters. I'll only tell you about one of them, because I don't want to spoil the rest. Anyway, this summon is Chicken Little. He can stun the enemies by using firecrackers, or go into an FPS mode in which you and him can throw baseballs at the enemies while looking through Chicken Little's eyes. All of these summons are fun, but they're pretty much useless. Another more important and fun feature are the drives. In this mode, Sora combines with one of the other members in your group, and he gets special powers temporarily. You have to keep fighting or collect special orbs in order to replenish your drive meter. There are five drive forms overall. One form is the Valor form, which lets sora wield two Keyblades(weapons) at once, makes him much stronger, lets him run faster, lets him jump higher, and gives him new abilities. There's also another form, wisdom form, which lets you shoot magic bolts out of your keyblade, improves your magic, and lets you hover around instead of walking. Another from is the Anti-From. Sora basically turns into a Heartless. His attacks are weaker but MUCH faster, and he is able to jump higher and walk faster. No one is actually sure how you get it, but there are two theories:

1.You get it from driving too much while in battle

2.You get it from being hit by heartless while in a drive, then driving again when you get the chance.

I personally go with the first theory, but that's just me.

The AI of your partners is also very good. They will heal you when you get hurt, help you defeat enemies, etc. and they feel like a big help, instead of just a distraction for the enemies to not hit you. You also get to switch Donal or Goofy with a character specific to the world you're in (for example: Mulan in her world, Tron in his world, etc.) You can also customize the way they fight, and when to use their special abilities.

By the way, if you haven't already known, the worlds in this game are worlds based on Disney movies. They're very well done, and you see characters from the movies in the game. Some of the worlds are:

Pirates of the Caribbean

Mulan

Lion King world

Tron world

Steamboat willy

and many more.

If you like Disney movies, you'll really love these worlds, and even if you don't like Disney, you'll still enjoy these worlds.

There are also many characters from Final Fantasy games like Seifer, Sephiroth, Leon, Cloud, Yuna, Rikku, Paine, Auron, and many more. They're also very cool, and the voice acting is wonderful for everyone. There are some people who didn't voice the original characters, but they imitate them extremley good. I swear, you won't know that Will Turner and Jack Sparrow aren't actually voiced by Orlando Bloom and Jhony Depp. You won't be able to tell the difference!

All of these things make the game wonderful, but the two best things in the game are its length and storyline. This game is very long, and it will probably take you about 40-50 hours to finish it. There are also a lot of distactions from the main gameplay, like the Gaummi ships, which are much better than in the first game, and the olympus coliseum, which lets you fight in many tournaments for prizes. You can also go back to worlds you already visited in order to level up. Now, the storyline is absolutely great! It's very complicated, and there are tons of twists and things that will surprise you(something very interesting about Ansem too...).

Overall, this is a great game for anyone who liked the first Kingdom Hearts, Disney, Final Fantasy, or anyone who has never played any of those. Yous should definitely buy this game if you own a PS2, and you shouldn't be discouraged by the Disney theme to the game. A lot of people complain that this is a "kiddie game", and that's just not true, so don't listen to these complaints.

Looks cool. The mic sounds are very muffled. I bought a few different headsets, this was the worst of the bunch. I tested them all by sending a voice message from one LIVE account to another. I really wanted to like this one since I like the idea of a throat mic and a simple ear bud, but this particular headset was a disappointment. Not usable. Not recommended.

I had the cod mw2 throat communicator, which is by far my favorite mic for my 360. My gf, calling herself "cleaning", dropped it in a bucket of water. So I decided to find a replacement mic w the same style, came across this one and gave this mic a try. When I put on the mic, the ends of the mic were uncomfortable and could only bare the uncomfort for an hour. The ear piece was uncomfortable as well. I'm not a fan of earbuds anyway, so these were unbearable. The functioning of the mic was pretty well for about 2 weeks, then it started to have a hard time picking up sounds and eventually died. If you're looking for something short term and uncomfortable, this is your mic.

Gaming headsets as well as the Skullcandy brand have a reputation among audiophiles to having poor sound quality. I don't claim to be an audiophile but as a point of comparison this headset sounds much better than the Turtle Beach XP400s I previously owned. The Turtle Beach had a "tinny" sound and a definite lack of bass. Turning on the bass boost modes caused distortion and crackling whenever there was any type of deep bass in movies. In comparison I love the bass on these. Its a nice full sound but not overwhelming. There have been several times where I have been using these late at night where I've had to remove them just to double check that my home theater system was muted.

Headset is pretty much plug and play for the PS3, PS4, and Xbox 360. There are a few settings you will need to change to get proper Dolby Headphones output but those are outlined in the quick starter guide. Virtual surround sound is great for online multiplayer shooters.

Comfort wise there was a slight break in period but I think that is the norm for most headsets. They will loosen up over time. Also, the cups are slightly smaller than some people might be used to. I find that comfort is always a YMMV type of thing due to differences in ear, head, etc. so buy somewhere with a good return policy as comfort can be a deal breaker.

I rated these 5 stars but the one thing that I would like Skullcandy to ditch is the analog joystick used to control audio and voice chat volume. Its a little awkward to use. I think a different control mechanism or completely separating the two controls would make this set pretty much perfect to me.

4.5 out of 5. Rounding up to 5 because I really love how these sound.

It looks like the Astro/Skullcandy marriage is producing talented children. These things are the best gaming headphones that I have ever used. Granted, I haven't tried the Astro A50's which I hear are the best. But I have used Tritons and Turtle Beaches in roughly the same cost and feature category as the PLYR 1's. The sound quality on the Tritons was similar, but the build quality was lacking. They just didn't hold up. The TB's didn't measure up in either category.

The PLYR 1's are very comfortable. Though I will mention that the earcups are smaller than normal. They fit my average size ears, but if you have big ears they might not be as comfortable. Then again, the memory foam and soft material make me think that there wouldn't be an uncomfortable position. They were a little tight fighting out of the box. I worried that they wouldn't be comfortable, but the cups are so soft that it never bothered me. After a couple of weeks, they are broken in and no longer feel too tight.

The simulated Dolby 7.1 really does help in FPS games. And the optical audio pass through is great for connecting the audio to my home theater system when I don't want to use the headset when watching a movie or whatever. Highly recommended.

Edit: I am now using these on my PS4, and they work great. Plug and play. They worked fine on my PS3 as well, and they should work on PC, Xbox 360, or Xbox One.

This headset has great sound and is easy to use after you know what your doing. battery life seems good. I have no complaint about the microphone, everyone hears me loud and clear. I'm very picky with quality of sound and they sound pretty great, my only complaints is they hurt my ears, I don't know if that's because I am a 6'5 guy with bigger ears or head? The other complaint would be it hooks up to usb and I have the original ps3 so I have only usb ports on the front. That being said the usb cable is short so I cant put the wireless stand behind it.

Sounds great maybe it will feel more comfortable if I can break them in, I just wish these headphone companies could figure out a way to easier move between my receiver surround sound and heaphones without having to change settings.

Ok, first of all I hate wrestling games and have never liked one enough to buy it or even play it.

This one is way different.

It isn't like other wrestling games,you can break your opponents arms or legs if you perform submission moves on that part of the body enough times, for Submission wins, you can K.O. them with fatality-like Supermoves, or hey you can go for the tradition al pin.

You can pick from a variety of "def Jam" artists including: Method man, Ghostface Killah, Redman, DMX,Ludacris,Funk master flex, N.O.R.E.,Capone,Kieth Murray,WC, and Joe Budden(who is the only guy on def jam who hasn't released an actual album in the whole time he has been on their label,What's up with that?)

Anyway, the more you play the more money you get to make your "story mode" characters better(buy power, speed,stamina,etc.)there is a "Survival" mode,as well as up to four player multi player set up.

MY ONLY COMLAINT?

the fact that if you beat the game and get all the characters and all outfits and everything, and you go to play multi player?

the person you play against doesnt have all the characters.

They have to beat the game through with all the story mode characters to get them and save them to a seperate identity so that you can have all players for 2 player mode.

AND THE GAME IS LONG!!!!! 40 wrestlers to beat, it can take some time, and not all of them can be pinned.Some HAVE to be K.O'd like a fatality(like the end boss).Also there are some pretty unfair matches,One of which you have to fight 3 guys and you cant pin them, you have to K.O one of them! Hard stuff!

In my opinion fans of fighting games and wrestling games will like this game,but make no mistake about it this game relies on grapples very heavily like a wrestling game.If you want to do big damage you have to learn them.

Worth buying for sure!!!!!!!!!!! but hey , rent it first if you want to be %100 sure!!

-You don't have any weapons to use

-Where's the create a fighter mode

-Game's too short(beat it in just 3 days)

-Where's Jay-Z(So I can kick his copying...) Ja Rule(So I can kick his fake ...), Freeway, Beanie Seigl, Slick Rick, and LL Cool J? That would'ave made the game a lot better(getting revenge for artist who made me waste my money, and more artist whom I appreciate), and longer.

This game definitly made me forget about Smackdown real fast. Despite the cons, this game definitly will please fans of wrestling, and all of def jams fans as well. So if you are fans of either, this should be in your collection of PS2 games(or gamecube games)

Final Words:This game was superb, no doubt, but I just hope that if they make a sequel to this, let's just hope all of the problems this game has will definitly be tweaked, so everyone can enjoy a much better, and longer game.

I finally got a chance to play Def Jam Vendetta and something occurred to me this game is great! To think that the only games with rap and hip hop influences were Parappa the Rappa and Wu-Tang Shaolin Style (which was a great concept but the execution came up short). Now for Vendetta. It seems that EA just cant be stop when it comes to over the top action and sports. Okay now I know some will say wrestling is not a sport but how cares when you can pit Method Man against Ludacris. This game rocks tight controls great storyline, awesome audio, and outrageous moves. Now with such greatness you would think there would be no flaws but there very minute. The only thing most wrestling game fans may want is create a character and various match types like ladder or steel cage matches. Basically if you thats all you want then youre missing the big picture of what Vendetta is. Dont wait for the sequel go and get this game you will not be sorry! WAY TO GO EA! WAY TO GO DEF JAM!

Really fun game if you play with friends. If u have xbox ontrollers u can have multiple people on the same computer i think, otherwise ur gunna have to get ur friends to buy the game as well to play with you. PC version has much more content and goes on sale more often but PS3 version offers an easier way for multi-player as u can all play on one TV as long as u have multiple controllers. I really like how they have communication via microphone built in to the game so u dont have to skype with your friends while playing. It also makes it possible to just talk to random people that your in game with to coordinate better. Personally i dont enjoy playing unless im playing with my friends but thats just me. you can download a demo on steam client to see if u like it before you buy it but trust me, its a ton of fun with friends.

First off, I would like to say that if you have any doubts about this game..buy the Star Wars Trilogy DVD collection because it comes with a free demo of SW:Battlefront. Let me just say that this game is probably the most incredible game I have ever played for the xbox (except KOTOR). In Battlegrounds you can re-live all of the battles of any of the movies! There are a ton of planets that you can journey to to fight your enemy. Theses planets are: Hoth, Tatooine, Endor, Yavin 4, Kashyyyk (Wookie homeworld, also in KOTOR),Bespin (cloud city), Naboo, Kamino, and others.

Now for the units.. It took me about 25 minutes before I could actually decide what unit I wanted to be. The choices are vast in numbers and all have tons of advantages in their own ways. I wound up picking the Republic Pilot, because I loved flying. My second choice, however, would have been the Republic Sharpshooter. The Classes are: Alliance, Republic, Separatists, or the Empire. The Units for each Class vary greatly, and each one is unique!

There is a single player on this games, and you can go head to head, or do conquer missions. The SP is a good idea to play at first just to get used to the controls and the surroundings at first. However, if you have Xbox Live, things just got better. You thought that you had a lot of choices with the units...well, that is nothing compared to what you can do on Live! You can play your favorite battles with up to 16 other players and customize everything you want. You can chat with your allies or taunt your enemies throught the live communicator.

PROS:

Excellent graphics

Tons of units, and space ships available

Excellent depiction of the battles that took place in the movies

CONS:

None (except if you dont have Xbox Live...get it...this game might not be totally meant for Live....but the best battles are fought over Live and you are missing out without it!)

Star Wars: Battlefront for the XBOX is a wargame that can be played from either first-person or third person view. First let me get the bad points out of the way: there are no outer-space battles, you cannot play as a jedi, the A.I. is hard headed, and the maps are too small for flying vehicles. It should also be noted that this is NOT a mission-based game like, "Halo", so stop comparing every game to "Halo" please! Battlefront plays similar to a Pc game called "Battlefield 1942", you CAN compare it to that game. You can win the game by capturing all command posts (territories) or killing all enemy units on the map. You play as a grunt soldier in the frontlines of all the epic battles seen in Star Wars films (including Tattooine, Hoth, Endor, Naboo and much more!) Before you begin battle you pick from four different army factions: Clones, Republic, CIS, and Rebels. Then you pick the soldier type you want to be: rifleman (rapid fire blaster), pilot (can repair and dispense medkits to soldiers), missle launcher (bazooka), sniper (long distance zoom killer), and commando (special unit). Most soldier class carry primary and secondary weapons and a couple of grenades. Everytime you get killed you can respawn and choose a different soldier type. You can travel by foot or ride in vehicles if available. Almost all of the vehicles from the Star Wars universe are in this game! Even the monsterous AT-AT! You'll be fighting alongside an army of A.I. controlled soldiers. There's lasers, missiles, and grenades exploding everywhere! The battles are intense, chaotic and a lot of fun! It looks and feels just like the movies! If you like FPS or wargames, BF 1942 or the Star Wars universe get this game! Its a dream come true!

Although, I have read reviews for many games, I have never felt the need to read one...Until NOW!!! This game is addicting and a full on fighting experience. Please note that this is from a casual gamer. Since I have a job and a girlfriend, my game time is limited. That is why this game is sooo great. You can jump in to any battle on any side and just play. No complicated ordering troops about or huge strategy battlefield nonsense. Just shoot-em up fun. Plus, you get to play in environments and outfits straight out of the movies.

Additionally, as an ex-soldier, I like the fact that you really get to be just that...a soldier. Not Han or Luke or Vader. There are tons of games dedicated to the "heroes" of the "force." As most true soldiers know, it is usually the grunts and ground pounders that win the wars. So you get to fight as the fighters do, not behind the scenes directing the battles or leading troops...just fighting.

I know that many full time gamers will disagree, stating that the game is not complicated enough or that the controls weren't exactly perfect, BUT for those of us regular joes who just want to have fun for an hour or so after work or before going out to a club, this is the perfect game.

Of course, it helps the playing experience if you like the Starwars Movies.

THE SHORT: Great for pick-up-and-play. Fun and addictive, interesting and strategic without going too deep. This isn't a complex war-simulator, this is a fun action/shooter.

THE LONG: I'll begin by skipping any talk of re-living Star Wars battles and how accurate the scenarios are, etc. Yes I'm a Star Wars fan, you probably are too if you're reading this, and you don't need to worry, this game gets the feel down just fine.

So how is the actual game itself?

Very fun. I played the demo on a rented copy of the SW dvds since I just wanted to see them, having bought a bootleg of the original versions on dvd. Once I played the demo, I was hooked for hours on the one level offered. Getting the full game, I played for days on end and was happy to see that some finishing touches made the gameplay better than the demo with such things as seeing enemy troops on the map and more adjustable options.

In this game, you pick from about 20 levels that range in terrain (forest of Endor, desert of Tattooine, ice planet Hoth, etc) and complexity (open levels, levels with trees and caves for cover, passageways, elevated positions, etc). You'll find several that you want to play over many times. Once you pick a level, you pick a side (Rebels or Empire for the old schoolers, or CIS robots and the Clone Troopers for the new trilogy). Sorry, no way to play the Rebels against the Clone Troopers and mixes like that, but with 4 sides to choose from in almost every battleground and 5 troop types per faction, you'll have a lot of fun messing around.

The game is greatly set up for pick up and play-style action. Once you pick your stage and side, you begin. Just pick one of your bases to spawn your soldier, and you're good to go. Walk through the stage at your discretion, fighting how you want to. Jump into a melee and back up your brothers with blaster rifle blazing, throw projectiles from afar, or do some sniping. There's nothing more satisfying in this game than watching some Imperial drones (or Rebel scum if you prefer) run past your Endor tree and then jumping out behind them and capping a few, only to run back into the safety of the foliage while your comrades engage them.

The controls are quick, easy and adjustable, and there's not much worry involved. Just have fun: When your energy bar runs out, pick a soldier again and hop back into the fray as much as you want until your side dies off or wins. Don't worry about ammo since you have a fair amound and it gets replenished with each respawning or with supply droids that you stand next to. Just fight, run, blast, die, then keep coming back and taking down as many troops as you can. But remember that you can always quietly snipe or jump into the continually respawning rides (Tauntauns, X-wings, AT-ATs) for a change of pace.

The game is engineered for strategy too. On easy you can win a lot of battles with a quick trigger finger. But go up in difficulty and you'll find that quickly overtaking the sniper towers on Kashyyk gives you a huge advantage over just storming the beach Normandy style. You can always throw on "Instant Action Heroes" to spice things up too, giving each side an invincible lightsaber wielding toughie to deal with. Unfortunately no, you yourself cannot play as one of the main people such as Luke or Vader or wield your own lighsaber for that matter. At first, though I knew this was clearly a game more worried about the infantry battles in Star Wars, I still wished I could play as a Jedi. But believe me, the game is just right as it isplaying as a Jedi or using a lightsaber would make you pretty much unstoppable and take out the entire strategic and competitive core that makes this game so fun. A cool unlockable perhaps, but play this game for a day and you won't miss it.

Lastly, aside from the quick play mode there's a story mode that basically follows the events of the films and lets you follow them, playing them as the series' history dictated. That's decent, as is the conquest mode which lets you try to win as many battles as you can until you conquer all of the planets, or lose and watch the opponent try to do the same to you, battle by battle. Unfortunately, these are all only slight variations on the same theme, and it never comes down to more than a different structure for participating in the same 20 battlegrounds. It's funner just to have a friend or go online for more human competition, but even without, the battles that stretch across all of the game modes are extremely fun and addicting nonetheless.

With almost no badly designed or unexciting level designs and coupled with an addictive engine and lots of ways to fight any battle, to me this game is very well made and worthy of a purchase. Non Star Wars fans can probably enjoy it on the same level as a Dynasty Warriors title or similar constant-action game as well. It's a solid title that's easy to pick up and enjoy but deep enough to keep trying new strategies and setups. The negatives are that there isn't much variation on the battle-by-battle theme, and the unlockables are worthless (game design photos, etc). But for a fun action shooter, especially one that's so easy to get into, this one's solid.

This game is a first person shooter with good graphics and an easy learning curve. You can play one of five different characters. I know it says something like thirty, but each side (Clones, Imperial, Rebel, Droids) has the same units. There isn't really a difference between a rebel sharpshooter and a droid marksmen, or whatever they call it.

The graphics are very good, and the gameplay is easy to pick up on.

The one main complaint I had was the vehicles. Sure you can control a AT-ST, X-wing, Tie fighter, etc.., but they all have terrible controls. If you ever played any of the rogue squadron games, you will be disappointed with the controls like I was.

The multiplayer is fun, because you can compete against your friends. It is cool how you have respawn points that let you come back closer to the action too.

Overall it is a 5 star first person shooter with a pitiful addition of vehicles that I eventually started ignoring.

Wow....I just finished beating the game and it was quite a thrill ride!! It's got drama, suspense, fighting and PUZZLES!! Oh, the puzzles!! Makes me feel like a kid on an easter egg hunt! My particular faves were the cryptography puzzles...Brings back memories of when I was a child...Where I lived in a place where the invasion of my diary (or anything private) was never a question of 'if' but 'WHEN', so I came to learn cryptography all TOO quickly (before I even learned there was a name for it, matter of fact).

These puzzles aren't brainbusters mind you, but it gives your mind a brisk little workout. Be advised: keep a notepad beside you as you'd most likely need it (to store clues as you play). And for those whose brainpower's a little on the flabby side: keep ASPIRIN handy.

In case you might wonder why I don't give this game a perfect 5:

The movements on this game can be a bit of a problem...For instance, if you may walk up to a door (which requires a key) and attempt to unlock it with your key, it MAY NOT work, which sends you on an exasperating search of the area for what to do next since that "apparently" isn't it...Out of desperation/curiosity/frustration you happen to try the door w/ key again and IT WORKS?? Why didn't it the 1st time?? Not a worry if it happened once, but it to me happened several times throughout the game. The other thing is, how you can pore over vast expanses of houses,buildings etc. with many rooms going, inch by inch only to realize there was 1 item to find?? And having your partner walk so close to you can really aggravate you sometimes (like if you're trying to make a sneak attack on an enemy or even WALKING OUT THE DOOR!!) Or walking for (seemingly) miles to your next objective only to have go way out of your way (again) just to fetch ONE item that you need to proceed (like at Westminster Abbey)...That can be a bit tedious....But then again, if the dots were close enough together, there'd be no mystery to solve, right?

So, for a stimulating change from the mindless, all-too-common BUTTON-MASHER games out there, The Da Vinci code is the one you may have been waiting for...

...It may even interest people who are not normally interested in playing video games, it's just that appealing and engaging.

I havent gotten very far into the game, and i have to admit i did have to cheat and go online for some help in some of the puzzles. Other than that, its what i expected, only thing i can say is that, the puzzles are..... be ready for the puzzlesor should i say, have a cheatsite ready for the puzzles.

I enjoyed this game, all in all it had some issues but they are easily overlooked and I've seen far worse. I wish we would see more games of this kind, reminiscent of "Syberia" and "Post Mortem" on the PC. Keeping this short and concise, The graphics were above average, the music was fitting and engrossing and the challenge is worthwhile. The replay value is only to challenge the Hard difficulty if nothing else. I also thought the combat system was fitting and intuitive but a bit unpolished. If you loved the book and or the movie then I think it's worth the money to buy this gem and relive it all over again and with some new twists.

Being a huge fan of the book and now the movie, I was excited about this game. The puzzles were too easy for the most part. Only one or two had me for any length of time, if I could call it that because I beat this game in about 6 or 7 hours. I would have liked to see difficulty levels. I feel like I played this game on the easiest setting. Now don't get me wrong I did like this game a lot. There are many good things about this game. The minor deviations from the book were great...The location renders were awesome...I think I spent at least an hour just wondering around, looking at things, not really trying to solve the puzzles presented. All and all I would recommend renting it instead of buying it because the time it took to finish didn't merit the money spent.

I lost my Sega a yr ago (Sniff...) and I wanted RR and I could'nt get it cause I had nothing to play it on. So I was strolling through Babbages one day and I see RR. I think to myself: could this be it? And I bought it without knowing what I was getting myself into. The next month I spent with my PS1 are days I will never forget. It was just as I had remembered it. Not a sprite out of place and the game seemed to play faster on the PS1. Now I have another Sega, but anytime I want to go down memory lane with some classic RR, I bust out my PS1 and let the good times roll...and I bust some heads while I'm at it.

I originally bought this game 10 years ago for my kids who are now grown so I repurchased it for myself and have a blast with my buddies on the weekend. The shearcliffs hairpin turns and pedestrians jaywalking will have you sitting/or standing on the edge of your seat. All things are equal at the beginning level but as you qualify and start winning races the pureses increase allowing you to upgrade to a faster bike. This game is an absolute must for adrenalin lunkies or anybody that has ever experienced road rage and wants to vent some frustration.Great Game!

This is a classic from the original Sega title brought to the Playstation. It has all the classic features of 2D racing and Road Rashing. Although this title brings forward a new idea of common racers with a bar chatting theme. You can beat on other members of the group or ride by them and see how they react to your actions.

As the other reviewers mentioned, this is an awesome old school arcade game.It has that in ur face, real world feel without lacking any depth or playback. Graphic wise, a bit outdated but still looks great from a distance away, tracks are interactive, very well laid out and have spectacular scenery. Nice little touches throughout the game, hilarious, interactive pedestrians(old grandma with a cane crossing the street,pedestrians yell when ran over), comical video cut scenes, chains and crowbars as weapons.The game consists of 5 different tracks, set in both urban and rural environments, with twisting curves and obstacles, each expanding longer as u progress through the game and make mo money to upgrade ur bike. This game was also released on the PlayStation and it blows all the other Road Rash games on it out of the water.Even after +10 years this game is fun. A true classic no street biker fan should have been left without.

I never owned a Sega Genesis so I never got to experience Road Rash on that system (where the series was popular). I did get to watch other Sega owners play the game though (even though watching someone play a game is never as fun as playing it yourself). Once I received a Playstation and noticed that I could play Road Rash on that system, I KNEW I had to grab a copy. I had a good feeling about a PS-X version. Better graphics and sound.

And... yup, better graphics and sound and REALLY fun. I lost my copy of this game and I really can't believe I let that happen. As I mentioned in another review, normally I'm a very organized person. Apparently I need help keeping my games in one place!

This game is really freakin' sick, and more importantly, fun. I adore hitting old ladies with my bike, along with construction workers and the half-naked girl who waves the start flag (can you blame me? she stands there like she WANTS to get hit!) It's really fun hitting people with your bike. It's fun kicking and punching people too, along with smacking them with chains and baseball bats. The point of the game is to do whatever you have to do to come in first place of the race.

This version of Road Rash could have had more stages instead of five, but that's okay. The hard rock music that plays in each of the five stages is really awesome. The stages themselves are all pretty much the same but for some reason I like the level located next to the ocean the most. The city stage is also nice because there's a lot of open space and divided roads.

20 GB* is actually 13GB. For some reason, MS has 7 GBs reserved on the HDD.

13 GB isnt very much when you consider game demos average about .5 GB to 1GB in size. If you're going to be downloading patches and add-ons for your games, as well as demos, that 13GB of storage is going to fill up sooner than you think.

If you've got a base XBox 360 core unit, you really need to find yourself a hard drive. The hard drive lets you save music, store games, download content, and even play old XBox games.

In the original XBox, every XBox unit had a built in hard drive. This was inconvenient for several reasons. First, there were people who never used it, but who had to pay for it anyway. Next, if your XBox died, it was a royal pain because the hard drive wasn't removable.

You could try to move items off your hard drive onto memory units, but many save games were simply too large to fit on a memory unit.

The XBox 360 has a great improvement you can buy the XBox 360 with or without the hard drive. You can even buy the hard drive separate if you want to upgrade your XBox 360 later on. If your hard drive fries, you don't have to get an entire new XBox 360, you just buy a new hard drive. If your XBox 360 fries, you don't lose your information, you simply pop out the hard drive and plug it into a new XBox 360 unit.

The XBox 360 hard drive lets you download content from XBox Live onto it this can include new maps for games, new levels, even songs and videos. You can store your own CDs on the unit, which is fantastic for playing your own soundtracks during games.

It even comes with a free copy of Hexic HD a tetris-like game that is really quite addictive. You find it under the 'Xbox Live Arcade' menu choice. You don't need XBox Live to play it it's fully playable when you are off line.

This really is a must-have for any XBox 360 gamer highly recommended!

The 20GB hard drive is a must have if you own a 360. Besides saving a ton of music on it, you need it to save your games you play. You also need the hard drive if you want to play your old xbox games (along with having internet connection to download the emulator for the old games). Besides that, when you download Xbox live arcade games (some are just awesome and there are more great games being added) you need the hard drive to store it on.

It is also removable so if a buddy has a 360 you don't have to bring your system over, just the hard drive to access your content. One draw back about the hard drive is that you will only have about 13 GB that is usable, the other GB's are used for running the system etc etc. Which when you think about it isn't that much storage when your have a ton of game saves and download new Xbox live arcade games on...hopefully Microsoft will have bigger hard drives soon....

I bought the core Xbox 360 and worked off a memory card for a few months until my dad bought me the 20GB hard drive. So far, it's worked very well for me. I play a lot of RPGs, especially Oblivion, which takes up a fairly nice chunk of space for each save game. My dad and I also shared the same hard drive while I was at school. He used my Xbox when I wasn't home but my saves were still there from over the summer. So, we had two people playing and saving off the same hard drive, my dad was playing games like GRAW 1 and 2, Halo 2 and 3, and several others he rented or borrowed. I was playing Oblivion, Mass Effect, Assassins Creed, and Gears of War. The hard drive works great. It's never given me a problem and I've never had to delete games to have more room to save.

That being said, I don't use X-box Live. I don't download music, add ons, or demos. I don't put anything on my hard drive other than game saves and the occasional expansion pack upgrade, Oblivion: Game of the Year being the only one I have so far. If you're doing that I suggest spending $70 more on a bigger hard drive or you'll be very disappointed, fairly quickly. If it's in your budget to spend the extra money on the larger one then get it, you won't be disappointed in having the extra space, especially if you download extra content. But, having said that, the 20GB does what it's supposed to. I've never had it lose any of my saved content or purge any games or freeze on me (knock on wood) and that's what I expect out of the product. It delivers.

This thing works fine, is small, convenient, detachable. There are 3 problems I have:

1) too little memory and the 360 OS/dashboard takes up a ton of space.

2) overpriced for the amount of storage you get. you can find a 250GB+ external USB hard drive for this price or less. the price simply doesn't make sense.

3) I would have appreciated a USB port (as on an external USB hard drive) so I could hook it up to my PC to transfer files.

Ok, ok.. we all know the common complaints like less than stellar animations, rehashed materials, subpar story, excessive swearing, ect ect. To be honest, so what? Who are we kidding here? Anyone that played the first Prototype knew what it was and likely what the sequel would be. Seriously, did the first Prototype have an epic, page-turning story? Nope. Next-gen animations/graphics? Nahhh. Innovative, creative side-quests? You got to be kidding me.

The first Prototype was a respectable attempt at gore-filled, city smashing, turn-your-brain-off entertainment. Prototype 2 followed in its footsteps perfectly. An open world game full of random people to chop/slice/absorb/explode/splatter, vehicles to destroy/demolish, and a bunch of random collectables to hunt down tied together with a passable storyline and a mix of barely developed characters. And there is nothing wrong with that kind of game, not one thing. Granted, it may not be worth $60...

Far too many negative responses to this game are from people that got their hopes up. They got suckered into the marketing and somehow forgot what the first Prototype was. Hint: It wasn't a live-action trailer with a Johnny Cash soundtrack. It is what it is folks.... a game based on an old Hulk game model; mindless, gory, entertainment.

Take it at face value and it is a great way to spend a weekend. Any attempt to bring thinking into it and you'll ruin it. So, much like the SyFy original films of today: sit back, turn off the old grey-matter, and watch some crap get blown up.

I had a lot of fun with the first Prototype. The sequel is better in pretty much every way. The graphics are better, the mission set up is better, the story (while not great) is better. If you played the first game you know what you're getting yourself into. Full on over the top, comic book style, ultra-violence. It is what it is. That's what the developers set out to make and in that regard they succeeded.

I've seen several reviewers complain about the language in the game. All I have to say to that is don't buy a mature rated game again. There is no more foul language in this game than in a GTA title. In context, the F-bombs make perfect sense to me and haven't distracted me from my fun one bit. James Heller is one pissed off protagonist. If some manic murdered my wife and child I'd be dropping some F-bombs myself. Also I've been in the military and that is how men in the armed forces talk. Get over it. This game isn't for kids!

On to the review:

Graphics:

Greatly improved from the first game. The city has far more detail than before, in the first game the city was really drab and boring. In prototype 2 the city looks great, easily on par with a Rockstar game. Heller himself is animated well though some of his moves are obviously taken from Mercer. The other characters in the game, look much better and there is a greater variety of civilians and infected.

Game play:

The controls are pretty much the same, not a bad thing, but seem easier to pick up. I especially like how they added a "quick-time" dodge prompt like in the Batman games. This has saved me a lot of poundings (I'm playing on the hard difficulty). They got rid of the optional events from the first game and added side missions that lead to upgrades. I find myself focusing on these rather than the main story. They still have the "events" but they are handled via Radnet DLC where they release the events over time. These also unlock upgrades to Heller. Overall, the way they laid out the way you gain power is paced better and much easier to understand. Nothing like the monster list of abilities from the first title.

Story:

Story is not why you play a prototype game, it could easily be Resident Evil done as an open world game. Gentek (Umbrella) created the virus that made Mercer, Heller, and all the "infected". They in turn are supported by Black Watch, a military organization that specializes in putting down biological threats. This game is about revenge! Heller wants to kill Mercer for the death of his wife and daughter. Pretty straight forward. There have been a few twists and turns, a few double crosses. Not too bad, but not too good either. Most the time the story is just a reason for you to go hunt and destroy. That's all it's needed for in a game like prototype.

Final Thoughts:

This is the game I expected. No more no less. When I've had a tough day and just want to cause chaos, NYZ is where I'll blow off some stream. The feeling of jumping 300 feet off the top of a sky scraper and gliding half a mile is awesome and I haven't tired of the movement in the game yet. Is it violent, oh yes. Is it brutal, uh huh. Is it everything they said it would be, definitely. That's saying a lot now a days (I'm looking at you Bioware!).

I really liked the first Prototype, to me this is what video games should be. Drop you in an open world with limitless power and let you have at it. That being said most of this review will be comparing this game to the first Prototype.

The graphics are much better, everything has more detail in the world around you. Unfortunately some of the animations suffered, like when you consume someone, they dumbed it down a bit.

The game play is much better, they let you hot key your favorite powers so that when you are in Heller form you could claw one guy with 'x' tendril another guy with 'y' and then block an incoming missile with your shield by pressing 'right bumper'. This makes the combat flow a lot better. Also, you start with some powers that you had to earn in the last one, like glide and air dash so that makes it easier to get around initially.

The side quests are great and unfold organically, in the last one you would see an occasional red head appear on the radar and you would have to consume them to unlock a memory. Now it's a yellow head that starts a side mission, it works a lot better. Also the challenges are back and they are fun to mess with.

All in all this is a great game and it's worth buying.

The first game came out in 2009 and was pretty good at the time but seemed a little unfocused. Other than the effects the graphics were poor and the Web of Intrigue was a good idea but not executed well, because certain characters would only appear in certain areas at certain times to absorb them and get the pieces to the story, so many probably did not even see alot of the cutscenes to understand the story.

Three years later we have Prototype 2 and a lot of work has been put into this one. I can tell because I played the first on both the 360 and PS3. First the graphics are miles ahead of the first game, sure it is not Assasins Creed or GTA quality, but those games have nowhere near the destruction, special effects, or moving parts going on. The lightning and the colors make the graphics stand out and look more polished. It won't win any awards, but its improved.

The story is more coherent and I find the man scorned revenge government conspiracy thing pretty cool honestly. Gameplay is alot like the first, but some of the powers are even more devastating, and the dodge has really been fixed to allow getting behind an enemy very quickly. They did away with the hundreds of orbs you had to collect from the first game with noway of knowing witch ones you didn't have. Now the collectibles are easily identified by your pulse radar and each area on the map gives you a summary of whats in that area of the city and they serve a purpose to upgrade your abilities. The seven weeks worth of radnet events are a decent idea for a few extra buffs to your powers, but it's not as meaty as I invisioned it being. It is nice that the developers actually made some bosses for this game worthy of fighting.

Prototype 2 does have some issues like the targeting and camera can still get wonky from time to time and for many the story will be throw away. The game is far to easy, which is a double edge sword here. The first game had some frustrating difficulty spikes. Proto 2 is much more balanced but with the powers you acquire the game becomes easy because the difficulty does not scale. So my suggestion is to start on hard and if you finish the game there is a new game + option to play on Insane if you like.

I have enjoyed this game some far and if you liked the first, you should enjoy this one even more. If your new to the series and you are looking for a game to have fun, create destruction, and feel like a superpower. I don't think Prototype 2 will let you down.

I played Prototype and enjoyed it... I'm playing Prototype 2 and enjoying it too. However, I can't help but feel like it's lacking in the story department. There's barely anything there, and what IS there, I'm just not that interested in.

This series will never reach the heights of, say, Assassin's Creed/Uncharted/Rockstar Games because there simply isn't enough to get invested in.

A game can be fun to play... and Prototype IS fun enough... but I would prefer to have more of a story to draw me in and guide me forward.

I think we've come to expect better stories from games these days, right? It'd be like having a movie with 100% special effects and no plot and no heart.
