The Gunstringer/Fruit Ninja - XBOX Kinect - Full Game Download Card Review

Not only did the description NOT tell me it would be a non-English translated card, but the picture description is entirely in English. I don't know how to read the language the card is in, nor have I ever used one of these cards to purchase a game.

UPDATE: I contacted the seller, who provided me the directions I needed, I hope. I have not yet tried since this was supposed to be part of a Christmas gift, but now will be something I just give on the side after my son opens his Xbox. I feel better that the seller contacted me right back with useful information and feel assured that the code will be in English and able for me to read.

My wife and I ordered this card as a stocking stuffer for the kids this past Christmas 2012. We were concerned when we received the card and the instructions were written in Russian or some such. Still, when the kids unwrapped their new Xbox and Kinect we scratched off the back of the card, typed in the codes for Gunstringer and Fruit Ninja, and viola, the codes worked and the games were in English.

As for the games, they're both fun and family friendly.

I'm very impressed with this headset. It has a cool look and great sound quality for what it supports. The first thing I did once I opened it was plug it into my iPod (to test it out) and I was impressed with the sound quality. I'm no expert when it comes to buying headsets but I can say that this headset is worth the money. The entire ear fits inside between the soft outer cushions so outside noises are nearly impossible to hear unless they are very loud. I love this headset when i'm gaming, it really adds to the game atmosphere when you play with a decent headset like this. The microphone is crystal clear as well and is very conveniently movable.

All in all a great headset. And for the price it is well worth the deal. I only knock off one star because of a couple of things. The bass on the headset is definitely there but i'd say it only feels right at higher volumes, so at regular volumes the bass tends to leave me desiring more. Not a big deal since the sound quality is excellent and its not like it feels like there isn't any bass so its something I have no problem looking past,. And it also feels a bit uncomfortable to me at first but that's just because I haven't broken them in yet. I don't think it'll ever be the kind of headset where i'll put them on and forget that I have them on.

Great headset, I recommend it! For the hardcore gamer i'd probably look elsewhere but for the casual gamer who doesn't want to spend hundreds of dollars on a headset, look no further than here.

The sound quality is awesome. It was a huge step up from my old headset, and when gaming I can hear everything in perfect, crystal clear surround sound. And of course, music sounds downright sexy on these.

However, be ready for some serious headphone hair. This headset is very heavy and is a little bit of a tight fit at first. I wouldn't say it's uncomfortable because once you get used to it and break it in it's fine. It doesn't put any pressure on your ears which was a huge selling point for me and even after hours of marathon gaming I don't get headaches or sore ears from my headset.

Finally, the microphone. The sound quality is okay but not the best. It's not as clear as I was hoping it would be and almost sounds like, as my friends on ventrilo call it, "old time radio." But I think the quality may have to do more with your sound card/drivers so it may be completely different on your computer, just be weary of that. But one thing I can say for sure is that this microphone has AWESOME noise cancelling (a feature that my old headset severely lacked). If somebody is talking in the room right next to me, my friends can't hear it on skype or whatever voice chat I may be using. Also does a great job of blocking out the TV when I have it on, so the that's one big plus on this headset.

Overall this is a good piece of hardware for the money but not the best thing you can find. 3.5/5.0

What can I say? This product blew my mind away. I've been using a cheap $20 headset from sony my whole gaming life so getting this was a huge improvement. My fellow colleagues tell me that my mic is clear when I speak to them on Skype while I play games. If you are a FPS gamer, you'll love this. I can literally hear how many people are coming towards me and which direction they are coming from which gives me a huge advantage. If an enemy walks toward me from left, this headset only rings on the left side which tells you where to turn to brutally own your opponent. Unfortunately, I had to knock off one star for this product because it sometimes (but very rarely) get's uncomfortable. I mean this product is really comfortable, when put on correctly, but with my clumsiness and my glasses, it gets a little uncomfortable at times. However, that's the only flaw I find on this product. If you're deciding whether to get this or some other headset, get this one. Trust me, it's cheap for it's potential.

Honest reviews on Thermaltake HT-SHK002ECBL eSports SHOCK Gaming Headset (Diamond

My right channel died after 4 months. I am going to send them for warranty replacement.

I think that there is a bad design on how the cables are connected to the headset. There is no space for movement so the cables will get broken sooner or later.

I always had cheap headset [10$] that lasted years so I am quite surprised that this one that is supposed to be "higher quality" is actually lasted less than the 10$ ones. I mainly used it for Skype and music listening [no dance involved] so there was no major stress on cables.

I like the quality of the sound that is coming from the headset, but this is supposed to be a gaming so the wiring should be redesigned to be more resistant.

I'm a big Black Ops 2 player and I bought this controller to keep up with all the other online gamers. I did a lot of research and found that nearly every aftermarket controller, modded or not, had bad reviews and a high failure rate. OEM x-box controllers seemed to dominate for reliability and feel. This controller seems to have all the workings and feel of an OEM controller with the modding and cool looking shell to boot! I've been playing with this controller for about a month and it has so many ridiculous features, there are still a few I haven't tried. Not all features work on all games, but the ones they have for Blk ops 2 certainly give you an edge. I would look at the images of the paperwork for a list of all functions. Sometimes with certain weapons if you turn the fire rate up too much it will glitch out and your gun will freeze up. Its easy enough to turn off rapid fire if this happens. I had an issue where the controller worked as a normal OEM controller and I could not get any of the cheat functions to work. I contacted the seller and immediately got a empathetic response. It turned out that a low battery was the issue. For there response time and the cool look and great feel of the controller alone this would be a great product. with all the cheats... very impressed.

I got this to replace and old charger. Being a storage dock was an added bonus. It keeps my gaming area clean and organized. It works great and looks good too. I haven't had any problems with it. It charges the controllers fast. I never have to worry about a controller dying in the middle of a firefight now. Nothing is worse then not knowing when your battery will die. After two days of playing without charging the controller it only took about 30 minutes to get a full charge.

I had this for one week. Works fine with charge. Had a problem as it wouldn't charge one of my controllers. Then after 2 weeks, the entire charger died and doesn't charge at all now. Charging means a red light. Blue means its fully charged. Now there are no lights at all.

First off: this is a game released in north america for $30. If you want to buy a new game and can't stand to risk the $60, give this game a try. The multiplayer is really great, but expect total madness and chaos in larger lobbies online. With simple controls, the game is easy to pick up and play. Surprisingly, the campaign was really solid. Great missions with a decent story you can follow that entertains you. Finally, the soundtrack is amazing, one of the best i've heard for a video game. So, if you want a game but can't part with $60, Anarchy Reigns is a great game at discount to get that is a solid title from beginning to end.

Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>

I have spent countless hours playing Anarchy Reigns and it is insanely fun to play and chopping the head off a giant squid with a chainsaw has never felt any better. The combat in this game is amazing and fun. You just never get tired of beating up dudes for no particular reason.

Most characters share the same button combos, but they all have their own unique moves, mixed in with their "killer weapons" that deal extra damage. Every character has its own highs and lows, which requires you to constantly plan ahead. Sometimes the game feels extremely spammy because there's so much stuff going on that you don't know where to focus. Sometimes it is literally chaos: all you can see on your screen is dust and limbs, a flying truck smashes you into a wall, and next thing you know there's a pole through your head. Sometimes you're in control, and sometimes you're just getting destroyed by everyone else. That's not to say it doesn't fit the game because it does.

There is a lot of fighting in Anarchy Reigns that is so much fun and awesome but after some time it gets repetitive and boring. Each story mode takes around three hours to finish, and when you finish them there's an epilogue that ties the two together. It's also in the story mode that characters for multi-player are unlocked. Don't expect a whole lot from the story mode because it's not supposed to make any sense.

The missions are varied, ranging from defeating a certain amount of enemies within a time limit, to one-on-one battles against enemy agents and gang leaders. Most missions give you three lives and as such the majority can be beaten on either the first or second attempt.

The story line is what kills this game because it is difficult to follow and not very interesting. Nothing is explained thoroughly enough for you to understand. I tried so hard to understand it but it just doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Some of the missions in single player can get repetitive and frustrating to play through because it feels like you are playing the same mission over and over again.

The online gameplay in my opinion is where this game really shines. There are over 10 online modes and the majority of these modes are various forms of Deathmatch or Capture the Flag. There is also a survival mode and the unique Death Ball mode which is awesome. While most of them are self-explanatory, Death Ball is basically an insane version of football. There are two teams fighting for a ball, which can be passed or ran into the goal. This usually ends with someone getting killed or the ball going to the other team.

Overall I found the game to be very enjoyable and interesting but the lack of the story-line and the repetitiveness in single-player ruined it for me. With that being said, I give this game an 8/10.

Best Deals for Anarchy Reigns - Xbox 360

This game is great at what it is. Huge over the top action and combo beat 'em up. The multi-player is cool but the game does get pretty repetitive. So if your looking for a fast pace-button masherbeat'em up this games for you. If you're looking for some depth and longevity this is not that. It is good at what it is.

My son loves the buttons. It was easy to install. They only fit in the correct hols they were designed for.

The buttons look great, however it would be nice if they actually FIT. The buttons are too large for the holes, so the buttons get stuck which messes up the game. I tried making adjustments and sanding them to make them smaller but it still was getting stuck. They looked pretty good, but are useless.

I should also mention they are very light weight and aren't even real buttons. I was expecting based on the description for them to be actual 9mm rounds, or of a heavier metal instead of the cheap machined aluminum it looks like they were made out of.

Don't waste your time, or money on this garbage.

Generally speaking, the people who give this game a low rating are those who prefer the Call of Duty (COD) series. They are judging this game, a military combat simulation game, against COD which is essentially an arcade game. I have played both, and enjoyed both, but they are different. In COD the player runs around as a loner trying to kill as many enemies as possible in a chaotic environment. In Medal of Honor Warfighter, the player has objectives to meet while working with teammatesmuch more realistic than COD. So, when you read the stars ratings, be aware of that. This is an excellent game, if you want to do a little more thinking while you play. Also, the single player campaign may be the best ever in any game. Brilliant settings, and literally adrenaline raising scenes, not to mention an excellent message for those who risk their lives for us every day.

I put in a lot of time in the MOH from 2010. Anyone who has played it knows of the QUIT clan lol. Just realize a couple things before purchasing this game. Danger Close had control of the multiplayer on MOH 2010. That's not the same for MOH Warfighter. Dice created single player and multiplayer on this game. Those (like myself) who were used to the MOH 2010 gameplay, really had to take some time to get use to this. I will name some major points, and will not raise any comparisons to other games. This FPS really is in its own element.

GameplayIt is actually very smooth, and realistic. The times to reload are different on every weapon, and they really did their work on those types on things. Just like the 2010 MOH, it is extremely smooth as far as control. In my OPINION, it is the most solid FPS as far as movement weapon control. All weapons have their own kick as well. The sprint that transitions into a knee slide for this game is set very well. If you want realistic, this is the game you want. And it doesn't take away from the fun of the game. Everything I said goes for the single player and multiplayer. Hand kills in this game are set pretty well. If you want to kill someone from the front, it will take 2 swings if they have full health. So you will not find guys running around the map getting easy kills. It's something that most FPS have really fixed over the past couple years.

OptionsThis is something I REALLY enjoy about this game. Not only are you able to choose from a wide variety of soldiers, you can also choose a wide variety of classes. All giving you different benefits. It really allows you to play towards your personality. At the same time you can also learn what weopons are used by what countries serviceman. No one is lying when they say that this is a combination of COD and BF. But the fact you can distinguish who you are by country is very unique. Of course you have the option for weapon skin color.

Single playerAs someone who served, and one who is married to a military service women... I feel they did a great job with the single player. The worst thing you can do is play this on easy and just try to swing through it. Play it on the hard settings, like a true gamer should. It makes it that much more enjoyable and rewarding. When you do complete the campaign, you open up the option to play it again on tier 1 or hardcore. Hardcore settings is very challenging, and you can open up a very nice achievement by completing it without dying. Very challenging is really nice to have for the hardcore gaming crowd. Download the HD settings if possible, you will not regret it. This game has to best cut scenes out of any FPS hands down! Without spoiling anything, you will also have a couple car missions. Those are very unique and very well made for this game. The story can be a little difficult to track, and I understand that complaint by those who make it. They did make it in a sense where they expect you to know the characters. For those who are purchasing this as their first MOH game, it can lead to a little confusion on that part. If your prior service, I promise you this. You will more than likely enjoy the campaign mode on this game. Especially if you achievement hunt while doing it lol.

MultiplayerI already covered the gameplay on this, so this will be a little shorter. I'm going to make me major point. PLAY WITH A FRIEND ON HERE. If the fire team is used like it should be... It is a very good multiplayer FPS. If you do not, and play with a random person... You more than likely will not just dislike this game, you may regret even buying it. Working with your fire team member offers a variety of advantages. You can heal each other, resupply your team member, and if you avenge your partner's death it will bring him back without crediting him one. All of these things I mentioned provide points, depending on how many points you get, you will get streaks. With those you will hit certain advantages given by what you choose as your soldiers personality. The weapons selection provides to foundation of what weapons your will use. The maps take some getting use to, but are very well built. They are made for team work. Our group plays to win, and we have found that working in your full team of 12 with these maps provides some great advantages. If you do not work with your fire team at a minimum, you will have many disadvantages to those tha do work together. I have not found any MAJOR glitches. No one crawling under the map or anything like that. No saying every once n a while you might have to jump to get across something you shouldn't have to jump to get by lol. (This did come out longer than I thought).

Worth and Replay ValueI am going to be honest. If you are not a team player, and do not want to be... Do not buy this game, that's why COD is available. It is very rare to see anyone walking out of a game without getting killed, and killing many. And those guys are taking advantage of the fire team opportunities that are available. The single player is very enjoyable and intense, there are things evolved in it that make it very unique. The multiplayer is tough to love if your not open minded and up for something s little different. It's crazy, but the more I play it. The more I love it. Graphics are great and is a very smooth shooter. Nothing wrong for disliking it, because there are real reasons not to. It comes down to preference on this one. The replay value is high, because the more you get use to things and learn what combinations work best for you... The better it gets. I hope this helps guys. You want to play on Xbox 360, hit me up at gamer tag "FoodnDrugAdmin".

Overall rating of game 7.75/10

Best Deals for Medal of Honor Warfighter - Xbox 360

Let me start this by saying I am a 36 year old Army Veteran and a hardcore FPS game fanatic...

I play them all COD, BF3, MOH, MWF3 ETC... and I love them all, each has there own strengths and weaknesses. I have played about 20 hours of MOH:WF now so I feel I can give a fairly accurate review of the game.

Single Player:

Short, but very good. I beat it in about 4-5 hours but enjoyed every second of it and I will play through several more times I am sure. As I said before I was in the Army for 12 years and the game did someting for me that others have not. It brought the personal side of war and being a soldier into the picture. It showed the affect that it has on family and every day life.

Without going into any details and spoil the ride for you the ending made me well up a bit. Maybe because of my time working with the Casualty and Mortuary Affairs division. It was the best ending to any modern war game I can remember. It's just my opinion and I'm sure some will disagree.

Multi Player:

This is the focus currently of the FPS genre and most likly where you will get your bang for the buck. First off make sure you install the HD graphics on the disk when prompted. The game looks amazing in my opinion.

I played the Beta a bit and liked it but when I first jumped into the full game version I was a little disappointed. It went away when I finaly figured out the game. Give it a good 2-3 hours and you will be hooked. I also suggest playing just team death match to get the hang of things. To me this is like a hybrid of COD/BF3.

The real change here is the fire teams. Get a friend with a headset and work together, that is where the game shines. If you just run off by yourself you are missing the entire reason for this game. Thats not saying you have to stay side by side, it's better to give yourself a half a screen or so so you can react to whatever took out your partner or he can react to whatever took out you.

If you play the game like it's ment to you will enjoy it. It's a welcome change to a format that is getting a little old.

Is it better the Black Op's 2? Who knows, that game is not out yet but I have it on pre-order and I will find out. I do however believe this is the best FPS currently out today.

*** UPDATE 11/01/2012 ***

I now have over 30 hours into multiplayer and about 18 into single beating it on Normal, Hard, Tier 1 and currently working on Hardcore.

I stand by my original review however I am removing 1 star because I have now run into a couple of glitches. I am sure they will be fixed in a future patch and when they are I may bump the score back up to 5 stars.

The major glitch that currently annoys me is the "Warchief" achievment. Because I played Battlefield 3 I was granted early access to a couple of classes right off. This however glitched the achievement for unlocking all classes. I know it will be fixed but it was annoying to hit level 75 and not get the achievement.

The other glitch is with the Blackhawk kill streak. Sometimes when you call it in, it is positioned so that you are facing off the map and are unable to shoot anyone.

Lastly the spawns in some game modes are a bit annoying. Not that bad but they do need some tweaking.

The Achievement glitches have been fixed and some of the other issues have gotten better. I must say it's interesting how many of the fixes can be done server side with this game. It eliminates the time it takes for Microsoft to certify a patch and push it out to the users. I hope a lot more future games use this model of updates. I will still leave my review at 4 stars for the moment and will update this review as needed.

**** UPDATE 11/13/12 ****

I have been playing Black Ops 2 and I am very disappointed, it is the same as black ops except the maps now cater to snipers & corner campers. It should have been a DLC add-on to Black Ops not a $60.00 game. In my oppinion buy MOH:WF if you are only buying one, it is by far a better game if you ask me. Even with the bugs and those will be fixed.

Activision/Treyarch, if I wanted to play Black Ops 1 over again I could have just put my original disk back in. I don't think I needed to buy a 60.00 add-on with poorly designed maps. My next COD purchase will not be a pre-order.

Honest reviews on Medal of Honor Warfighter - Xbox 360

Medal of Honor: Warfighter isn't a bad game. It really isn't. Unfortunately, it isn't a good one either. Even though the basic shooting mechanics are pretty solid, the campaign is suspiciously short, even for an FPS.

What is wrong with Warfighter?

Not only was I able to complete the campaign in less than four hours, but I also did so without even the slightest clue as to what was going on. The story, which is what Medal of Honor games try to tout the most, was convoluted and confusing jumping between multiple different timelines and characters. For example, after I began to slightly understand what was happening and more importantly why the game tossed in a 2 minute long mission consiting of somali pirates who had taken a ship captain hostage. Your objective: snipe the captor. If your fast, the mission could even be completed in less than 2 minutes. After that mission, it was back to a different set of characters. There was absolutely ZERO connection between that mission and the main story arc. It was almost like an extra "deleted scence" you might find on a bonus disk to a movie that was ultimately cut by the director.

On top of that, Medal of Honor games traditionally claim their campaigns "honor" the soldiers. I had hoped that this would be a break from the hollywood escape death in the nick of time, or never ending over-the-top explosions that make up most FPS games today. Unfortunately, from mission 1 through the rest of the game, every mission seemed to incorporate some bizzare hollywood moment that wasn't necessary.

Multiplayer, in my opinion was entertaining for a few hours, untill I realized that even this too was a poor mimic of other FPS franchises already available. To be fair, the idea of representing your country seemed very promising and innovative and I hope the feature can make it's way into other titles.

So, in light of this information why isn't Warfighter awful?

Despite the long list of things this game did wrong, there are a few things Danger Close managed to actually do quite successfully. I've already mentioned the nationality aspect to multiplayer, but there are others. For example, throughout the campaign, there are a few foot and vehicular chase sequences which offered a good mix up from the repetative nature of FPS's. I thought the vehicle sequences in particular the 2nd car chase mission was supurb. Additionally, the basic "shooting" mechanics in Warfighter are strong and I think the game also presents an excellent soundtrack. But these things don't outweigh the general lack of polish and length Warfighter has.

All in all, I don't hate the game, but I couldn't possibly reccomend it to anyone especially considering the slew of AAA games coming out this quarter.

Medal of Honor is not just another shooter game like most of the critics are saying now. The critics are probably hammering the game because they are trying to make BO2 look really good (maybe so, but i doubt it). Look into the user reviews they are all positive. I'm going to just sum up a main points on the game here:

Overview:

If you have never played MoH series shooters before like me, it proves to be somewhat difficult to start. I had basically no idea of what i was doing for the first two missions or so, but eventually you pick up. The playing style is really different from CoD. CoD players claim that you cannot "rambo" into enemies, but you can if difficulty is low. In MoH it is another case. Taking close steps bit by bit is essential and the game helps you do that, by signature features such as peeking over walls etc., which CoD obviously don't have.

Gameplay:

Takes time to adopt to, but eventually it turns out alright. The graphics are not as stunning as BF3, but they are still top-notch. Solo missions are a bit short, but I love the fact that you get to jump around different places. Cutscenes have AWESOME graphics, really, really refined touches on facial expressions and surroundings. There are some cool random opportunities to get into a vehicle or robot to do some cool stuff as well. I also love the part where you can select your own desired method to breach. Overall, a much more sophisticated game than CoD.

Multiplayer:

Stunningly beautiful. I hope that the population of multiplayer players continue to grow. The ability to choose a nationality and mix-and-match different loadouts really propel you to play more. I am a Canadian myself and actually seeing that JTF-2 was included in the game was a big reason for me to purchase the game. Other options such as SAS, Delta, KSK (Germany) and GROM (Poland) etc really makes your gaming experience colourful and diverse. The maps are beautiful as well, and there are variety of game rules too. The buddy spawn system works completely fine, and allows me to get into the action ASAP.

Conclusion:

Don't listen to the critics that give it a crappy score. It is indeed a new and challenging way to play FPS. Definitely recommended to people who want to try something a bit different.

WWE Day of Reckoning 2 - Gamecube Review

WWE Day of Reckoning 2 - Gamecube
Customer Ratings: 4 stars

This year's WWE wrestling game for the Nintendo Gamecube features better visuals, an updated roster, some new wrestling moves, and improved gameplay through new stamina and submission systems. Pretty much every aspect of gameplay in Day of Reckoning 2 (DoR2) is better than the original Day of Reckoning. Improved visuals make for better-looking wrestlers and CAW's (Create A Wrestler; your own custom-made wrestler). The new stamina system reflects the real-world inability to endlessly pound on someone without taking an occasional rest break. The story mode adds a new twist of managing skill points (grappling, aerial, submission, etc.) in addition to physical attribute points (strength, speed, etc.). It takes at least two passes through the story mode to create a perfect wrestler. In a nice touch, you can restart the story mode if you find a part of it too difficult to pass, and keep your wrestler's earned attributes intact.

The new camera system focuses on the active wrestlers instead of showing the entire wrestling ring, and has both positive and negative aspects. The camera system attempts to keep the active wrestlers as large as possible on the screen, which makes them appear more true-to-life, but sacrifices "ring awareness" in return. "Inactive" wrestlers, such as your opponent's tag-team partner, interfering wrestlers in singles matches, or new entrants in Royal Rumble competition, are mostly kept off-screen by the new camera system unless you actively engage them. When these wrestlers are off-screen, it is difficult to keep track of their whereabouts to avoid their attacks and interference with your pin-fall and submission holds.

There are a few things that stayed the same in DOR2, including the inability of female CAW's to participate in Bra-and-Panties matches. The only aspect where Day of Reckoning 2 seems to have regressed is in the artificial intelligence of its characters. In single-player Triple Threat, Fatal Four Way, and Royal Rumble matches, your opponents seem to only concentrate on attacking your wrestler, making these matches difficult to win.

Beyond the three major goals of completing the story mode, earning enough money to buy everything in the WWE Shop, and unlocking the five hidden characters; there is little in DoR2 to hold one's interest for long. The continued exclusion of championship belts from Exhibition mode makes DoR2 boringly repetitive once those goals are accomplished. If you don't have a wrestling game for the GameCube, then Day of Reckoning 2 is the one to get. If you already own Day of Reckoning, you can safely skip this game for something more interesting unless you are buying the game for an avid wrestling fan. DoR2 does not add enough new features to make the game a compelling purchase.

----

The Roster: Batista, Big Show, Booker T, Carlito, Chavo Guerrero, Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho, Chris Masters, Christian, Eddie Guerrero, Edge, Eugene, Heidenreich, JBL, John Cena (he's the WWE champion in the story mode but the game is missing his WWE Champion spinner belt), Kane, Kenzo Suzuki, Kurt Angle, Muhammad Hassan, Orlando Jordan, Paul London, Randy Orton, Rene Dupree, Rey Mysterio, Ric Flair, Rob Van Dam, Shawn Michaels, Shelton Benjamin, Snitsky, Tajiri, The Hurricane, Triple H, Undertaker, William Regal, Christy Hemme, Stacy Kiebler, Torrie Wilson, Trish Stratus.

The unlockable legends: Brett Hart, Hulk Hogan, Mankind, The Rock, Steve Austin.

I've spent the better part of Labor Day weekend glued to this game. If you liked the first Day of Reckoning, you will like the second installment just as much, if not more.

Pros:

The controls and gameplay are exactly like the first. It's very fluid and easy to manage. Not much has changed here and I'm glad that they didn't mess with it.

The AI is much improved. I've played numerous Tag Team matches and the CPU is much smarter than before. Now they will cut off the ring and keep you on their side. They tend to throw you into the turnbuckle and perform a lot of double-team moves. If one of them is pinning you, the other will jump into the ring to try and prevent your partner from breaking up the count. If, by chance, the CPU is whooping you up on your side of the ring, they will knock down your partner before they try to pin you. Don't worry, it's not to the point where it's totally unfair. In my opinion, this makes for a much more enjoyable game. It's a little peskier, but definitely more realistic and fun.

The storyline is also improved. You must still use your created wrestler to play in the Story Mode. In the first DoR, you basically went through the same storyline with each franchise. This time, you start off on RAW and eventually find yourself on Smackdown. The biggest improvement to the storyline is that there are a few occassions where you are asked to choose your destiny. For example, you are given the choice of choosing your Tag Team partner when both of those wrestlers approach you and express interest in pairing up with you. I've only come across about two or three of these instances so far so I only know one storyline. I assume (and hope) that if I had chosen the other options, I would be in a totally different scenario. Nonetheless, just having the option to make choices is an upgrade over the first game.

The Create-A-Wrestler is about as deep and intuitive as the first. I've heard that there might be a few less features but I haven't really noticed. When creating your wrestler, you must now take into consideration his/her Skills when you are distributing his/her Attribute points. The Skills are what you need to raise in order to unlock new moves. There are several Skills categories including Grappling, Striking and Dirty Tactics. As your Skill level rises in each category, new moves will become available to you. As a result, you must find a good balance when you distribute your points. If you distribute too many Attribute points, you will be stuck with very weak and unimpressive moves.

Also new to CAW is your Call Name and Location. Just like in real wrestling, there will be a ring announcer who says the name, location and weight of the wrestler who is about to enter the arena. While this is a neat feature, the Call Name is limited to a number of preset recordings that are pretty generic (ie. The Alien and The Monster). Actual names are included as well but you will need a common name like David or Jennifer to be able to use this. If you don't like those, you don't need to use the Call Name.

The graphics are great and a lot better than the first DoR! Everything is so much smoother and cleaner. The faces are more detailed. This game probably has the best facial reproduction that I've seen in a video game. New camera angles are also another fine addition.

Cons:

The game's soundtrack is lacking. All the wrestler's themes are there, don't worry. But there is no licensed music on this game like there was in the first. Now there are a bunch of cheesy rock instrumentals to take its place. They're not too bad but they're not great either.

There are still no voice-overs. All the dialogue is still in plain text across the screen.

Summary:

As you can see, there aren't too many negatives to this game. What negatives there are don't take away from the overall experience either. This is a great game and a worthy sequel in the DoR franchise.

It's da bomb! The graphics are as realistic as it gets and every bit of your brain can be used. When you're on a submission, there's one of four pain choices to choose from (drain, submit, taunt, and rest). Your opponent must choose the same choice as you in order to escape the hold.

The new stamina is slightly awesome. almost every move you make reduces your stamina a bit. Sounds bad? Actually, it's part of the realism. See, once your stamina's gone, your person gets tired and weakens everything. But, a good rest will restore your stamina.

Story mode continues where the first DoR left off. Your titles gone, and you must win it back. Although one of the main objectives is winning the championship, another thing is important to the storyline, and that's a personnal rivalry. I not at that part yet because i'm stuck on Summerslam, a nearly impossible match (a fatal-four-way cage)

CAW is top-notch, but a bit inferior to the first DoR, because in order to access a move, you must raise a stat attribute. And many must be raised quite high.

Anyway, this game rules. When it comes to getting this game, TRUST NO ONE!

REKANIZE!!!

This game is GREAT. I love the season mode as well. and don't worry there are no "GLITCHES" in this game unlike WM21 for Xbox. Over all worth buying if you like the first DOR.

My cousin bought this game the 4th day it came out and we started playing it. We were impressed, very impressed. DOR2 has more to this game then the 1st one. The graphics are amazing. New characters like Eugene, Muhamad Hussan, Rene Dupree (Comes out with fe'fe), Cristy Hemmy, (But no Lita grrrr). I'm kind of saden about the legends though not really. Stone Cold Steve Austin, Hogan, The Rock, and Mankind (But no Andre). The New submission and Stamina system are great in this game. There are a couple of glitches and loading sucks. But other than that This game beats all other wrestling games. This maybe the last THQ wrestling game for GC (Probably DOR3 for Revolution) but this is the greatest of all time. Don't rent it. Buy it you'll love it

I lost my Sega a yr ago (Sniff...) and I wanted RR and I could'nt get it cause I had nothing to play it on. So I was strolling through Babbages one day and I see RR. I think to myself: could this be it? And I bought it without knowing what I was getting myself into. The next month I spent with my PS1 are days I will never forget. It was just as I had remembered it. Not a sprite out of place and the game seemed to play faster on the PS1. Now I have another Sega, but anytime I want to go down memory lane with some classic RR, I bust out my PS1 and let the good times roll...and I bust some heads while I'm at it.

I originally bought this game 10 years ago for my kids who are now grown so I repurchased it for myself and have a blast with my buddies on the weekend. The shearcliffs hairpin turns and pedestrians jaywalking will have you sitting/or standing on the edge of your seat. All things are equal at the beginning level but as you qualify and start winning races the pureses increase allowing you to upgrade to a faster bike. This game is an absolute must for adrenalin lunkies or anybody that has ever experienced road rage and wants to vent some frustration.Great Game!

This is a classic from the original Sega title brought to the Playstation. It has all the classic features of 2D racing and Road Rashing. Although this title brings forward a new idea of common racers with a bar chatting theme. You can beat on other members of the group or ride by them and see how they react to your actions.

Overall the game is pretty unique with new cinematic to view and new bikes to explore.

Honest reviews on Road Rash

As the other reviewers mentioned, this is an awesome old school arcade game.It has that in ur face, real world feel without lacking any depth or playback. Graphic wise, a bit outdated but still looks great from a distance away, tracks are interactive, very well laid out and have spectacular scenery. Nice little touches throughout the game, hilarious, interactive pedestrians(old grandma with a cane crossing the street, pedestrians yell when ran over), comical video cut scenes, chains and crowbars as weapons. The game consists of 5 different tracks, set in both urban and rural environments, with twisting curves and obstacles, each expanding longer as u progress through the game and make mo money to upgrade ur bike. This game was also released on the PlayStation and it blows all the other Road Rash games on it out of the water.Even after +10 years this game is fun. A true classic no street biker fan should have been left without.

I never owned a Sega Genesis so I never got to experience Road Rash on that system (where the series was popular). I did get to watch other Sega owners play the game though (even though watching someone play a game is never as fun as playing it yourself). Once I received a Playstation and noticed that I could play Road Rash on that system, I KNEW I had to grab a copy. I had a good feeling about a PS-X version. Better graphics and sound.

And... yup, better graphics and sound and REALLY fun. I lost my copy of this game and I really can't believe I let that happen. As I mentioned in another review, normally I'm a very organized person. Apparently I need help keeping my games in one place!

This game is really freakin' sick, and more importantly, fun. I adore hitting old ladies with my bike, along with construction workers and the half-naked girl who waves the start flag (can you blame me? she stands there like she WANTS to get hit!) It's really fun hitting people with your bike. It's fun kicking and punching people too, along with smacking them with chains and baseball bats. The point of the game is to do whatever you have to do to come in first place of the race.

This version of Road Rash could have had more stages instead of five, but that's okay. The hard rock music that plays in each of the five stages is really awesome. The stages themselves are all pretty much the same but for some reason I like the level located next to the ocean the most. The city stage is also nice because there's a lot of open space and divided roads.

I just got this today, so understand that before reading the rest of the review. I have already set up the bluetooth for my phone, and have used this as a standard online headset. There is a switch which allows you to swap back and forth, which comes in real handy when you're in the middle of a battle, and you get a call from your invisible girlfriend. To set it up with your Xbox, there is the standard wireless connection button you would find on all wireless controllers, and the boot up sounds rock. There is no mandatory USB connection to make this work, despite reviews I found on other websites. There is a docking station to charge it, but it's not mandatory, as the headset itself plugs right into MOST cell phone chargers. The appearance of it is quite nice, and will go well with the Limited Edition 360 coming out Nov. 8th. You also receive a free Avatar item with the purchase. The code for both Male and Female white t-shirts comes in the packaging.

The overall sound quality was fairly good, though it got a bit grainy while using it in Bluetooth mode. Nothing too severe, but it's there. The loop around the ear can be switched to fit either your left or your right ear, though I prefer the right side, because the MW3 logo is right-side-up. It also comes with 3 different rubber disks to try and fit your specific sized ear hole. I have a fairly small hole in the side of my head, so I actually removed the rubber piece completely, to accommodate. Overall, I like this one better than the Halo Reach wireless headset, which I paid a similar price for. The 2 main things that sell me on this is the Bluetooth, and the micro USB charging capabilities. I hope this helps out, if you have any questions, post them as a comment, and I will respond.

This is my review of the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Xbox 360 Bluetooth Wireless Headset. For all Technical specs see products page, but you can get 30ft of range from Xbox with Mic on, and with Bluetooth you can go the same distance but from you phone. So basically anywhere, all other information in video, check the comments link for the Youtube in Depth Version, due to Amazon's video File Limit, Ask Question In Comments Section and I will Get back with you Thanks.

Bought this bluetooth headset to use for XBox 360 and iPhone 4.

Synched this headset up with both Xbox 360 and iPhone 4 very quickly and easily.

Sound is clear. Headset is comfortable. Easy to use.

Price was great. Shipping was quick and done well from the seller.

I may be purchasing another; you can synch several to the xbox 360 and easy to switch to answering calls on the iPhone.

Honest reviews on Xbox 360 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Wireless Headset

I never liked the first 360 wireless headset so when I found out this new one coming out I had to try it. I got the new MW3 headset on Sat 15 Oct when my per-order came in at my local game stop. Ever since than I have fell in love with it. For the use on the Xbox, its got great quality you can hear your friends crystal clear, and they told me its sounds a lot better than the old wireless headset on there end of the conversation. For the Bluetooth aspect of this headset it's Awesome. I use it with my android phone; the sound quality is better than another Bluetooth headset I have ever used. The bonus with it is that it also works like wireless headphones with my phone. I will hook the headset up to my android phone and when I watch movies, Netflix and, listen to music on my phone all the sound will come out the Bluetooth instead of bothering other people around me. The only draw back is that it sticks in your ear verses on my ear like the original 360 wireless headset. I had to get used to it because when I first started using it, it was making my ear raw after a few hours of use. (I use it for games and work) I don't know how the battery life is yet because I have never ran out (with nightly charging). I did watch 6 hours of netflix without killing the battery. I also tried using it on my playstation 3 and it worked well on that too. Overall I love this headset with great quality on the Xbox, Playstation 3, and Android Phone. I think its well worth the $ 69.95 for the MW3 addition (Like Me) or the regular one for $ 59.95....

I had seen these in several stores for $60 or more and liked them but didnt want to fork out that much money. Purchased one on Amazon and have to say, it's a great headset. Definitely more bang for your buck as your getting an XBOX headset thats also bluetooth so it can be used with a bluetooth phone or PS3. Sound quality is good for phone calls as well as listening to music on it. I would definitely recommend them at the low price on Amazon.

Overall it's a good kit, but it has some parts to make the DVD drive clear on top for use with the clear and translucent versions. It's completely useless with an opaque black case like this. I followed the instructions here () but the DVD drive made a bad scratching sound after performing the Mod. I had to buy a replacement DVD drive since the DVD drive part of this install leaves the top half of your DVD drive permanently altered and unusable.

NOTE: you have to trim off 4 standoffs from the top half of the case to make it work without modding (destroying) your DVD drive. It's easy to trim the standoffs with some diagonal pliers, and allows you to transfer the factory heat shield onto the Ghost Case.

I should have done it like that from the outset, but I had more trust in the designer of this case than I should have had. Hope this helps!

This case is GREAT, slick, glossy, black! perfect with a chrome (fake though) dvd rom lip.

But what do you expect?! its a aftermarket kit so the fitment isn't 100% i cant close the back all the way

*doesn't bother me because its facing the back the whole time, but still knowing that its there ehhh i wish it would fit

and the button for the front face plate power on...you know...those green 4 lights that flash up when you start your xbox360? well the gap is soooooo dam small you can barely see the xbox lights flash on anymore

But yeah im not surprised at all! this happens when buying aftermarket bumpers, body kits, whatever! there usually something or some part of it that's not like stock and doesn't fit 100% more like it fits 90%

but other then that! tsssssh i got tired of looking at a boring white case and this did the justice!

over product = 9.8/10

craftsmanship = 8.9/10

def. think twice this is not a ghost case at all. it is solid black. the case does not fit correctly and the l.e.d's that were sent the harness was cut and wires exposed. the ring of lights is so thin you can barely see the lights. overall its a nice solid black case but it is not what i paid for.

I got this game for the co-op multiplayer and it does not disappoint in that regard. The AI intelligence is good and the "boss" characters are difficult to take down. You will need to work as a team, especially since you can't see your health bar, only the ones of your teammates. Constantly healing each other and working in pairs is a must. If you try to run-and-gun or go lone wolf, you will die (CoD players, you have been warned). There are 9 co-op missions in total and you have to finish one to unlock the next one. There are also several difficulties for each mission so there's replay value in that regard. There is no competitive multiplayer. My friends and I experience some freezing and server lag last night however. Hopefully, EA will have it sorted out soon and it's been reported that StarBreeze is already working on a patch.

If you're looking for an immersive single player campaign with a deep story, look elsewhere. The single player campaign is short, around 5-6 hours. The story is pretty generic and the action is not as fun as when you're playing with your friends in co-op. It's not terrible, but it's not great. It's kind of like Battlefield 3 where the single player wasn't that good, but the multiplayer was amazing.

The presentation is definitely similar to Deus Ex: Human Revolution, especially when you're indoors. Blade Runner also seems to have a big influence in the level design. Relying heavily on the cyberpunk genre, this game looks great, especially when it's raining.

I would value this game at around $40 and Amazon did just that with the $20 credit. I would say it's only worth it if you want to play co-op multiplayer. I put the $20 towards a preorder for Mass Effect 3, which comes out in two weeks.

***Edit: If you're experiencing periodic crashing while playing co-op, it is recommended that you do not use Xbox Party Chat. Use the in-game chat instead. Apparently, the lag from Xbox Party Chat makes the game freeze up while playing co-op. After using the in-game chat, my friends and I have not experienced any more game freezes.

After playing the demo I was really looking forward to this game since it was so much fun to play, and I'm pleased to say it did meet my expectations. This game has a really cool single player campaign with a really challenging co-op campaign.

In the Extras menu they added a manual to tell you all about the game, so even if you rented it/bought it used you can check that out. I like that they added this due to the fact EA seems to hate physical manuals these days. Also if you are part of the EA Gun Club you get some challenge unlocks along with a Bloody skin for the Kusanagi.

Story:

The Single player campaign has you playing as Agent Kilo working for EuroCorp and the battle against the enemies that love to steal the products they create. You don't get to know many characters through the campaign but the few that you do talk to and learn about are really cool and unique individuals. They did a good job with the voice acting and I didn't really notice any annoying voices throughout the game. The story is really fun rollercoaster that comes to a solid conclusion at the end.

In the Co-op missions I believe you are working for your own created syndicate since the missions have you fighting all sorts of different corporations that you are stealing information from. I will go more into Syndicates in the gameplay section. Before each missions you are provided with a paragraph on what you are doing and why you are in that location. Most of the descriptions are pretty amusing and made me laugh a few times.

Gameplay:

This is another first person shooter that has a really awesome combat system. Regardless if you are in singleplayer or Co-op you rely on your implanted brain chip along with weapons you come across. Majority of the weapons in the game have an alternative firing mode that can range from having a grenade launcher to having both a red dot sight and an ACOG Scope on at once.

When it comes to your brain chip you have a system that is called DART that allows you to see enemies and friendlies through walls and makes killing them a lot easier. In both single and Co-op you can get upgrades for your implants that range from dealing out 25% more damage in DART to improving your health regeneration. Majority of the enemies in the game can be executed in a multitude of ways(One way has you kicking them below the belt and punching them in the face).

In singleplayer your DART also slows down time and with the right perks you can set it up to heal 7% of your health per second. The singleplayer campaign is pretty short, even on hard. I did have a ton of fun playing it and really enjoyed the story though. Some of the locations are really cool to visit and kill all the enemies in. I did find myself looking forward to what was going to happen next. You can also find a lot of side items in the game that expand upon the story with little tidbits of information.

In the Co-op campaign you are tackling over 10 missions with up to four people that are manageable on normal mode, but really require good teamwork in the Expert difficulty. As I said before, I think they set it up so that you're working for your own Syndicate. Syndicates in multiplayer are guild like organizations that can be created and everyone works towards goals (everyone's play time is over 7 days of hours, X amount of kills) and leaderboard standings.

When upgrading your Agent you most of the talents you have in the singleplayer game, but harder to unlock (can't just pick the bottom talent, you need to work towards there). You also upgrade a bunch of weapons that end up making them more powerful, or unlocking their secondary fire mode. Two abilities can be used at once (Only one until you get the talent) that ranges from a Protective shield to reviving yourself once when you go down. This really adds replayability to the game, and will make the Expert modes more manageable, even if it's just a small percentage of stats.

Every co-op mission has a surveillance report that shows you a computerized 3D map that shows you the objectives you need to complete and where you start. I think this is pretty awesome, and makes you feel like you're on an actual mission. Just like the singleplayer game had collectibles, the co-op mode has challenges for you to complete that are pretty different from each other (Kill X amount of employee's to disarming X amount of grenades)

Soundtrack:

The Techno music they added to this game just fit so perfectly. It adds that sense of a futuristically feeling world. A ton of famous (IMO) techno artists add to this sound track, including Skrillex, Nero and Digitalism. When I fought the first boss fight and the main theme starts playing it made me pumped up and ready to kick some butt.

Some of the specialty guns sound so cool when you fire them and you could tell they didn't just use a stock sound for the weapons. I think it's a really good job when companies do this successfully because it adds so much more to the immersion of the game.

Graphics:

The graphics and look of this game scream a blade runner/Deus Ex esc world. Some people have complained about how the light bloom in this game gets annoying, but I think it really fits in the game. I mean if you try to stare into a light in real life it's going to be bright. The guns look really awesome and when you fire some of the specialty weapons the animations of the bullets look just amazing.

When you go into the DART overlay you see a computerized view of the world and the enemies appear yellow and when you kill them the blood is white. This is a nice addition to the game where they could have just been lazy and just made the people stand out in the normal looking world. The people look really cool, and you can see the expressions they make.

When you kill enemies sometimes their heads explode or they get cut straight in half. This adds a sense that some of the weapons you use are really powerful tools of destruction. The executions look just as amazing as I previously stated, and really make you feel like a total Bad***.

Verdict:

I had a blast playing through the single player campaign, even if it was short. It's so worth a rental if you're just interested in story based games, and not Co-op. If you're planning on playing co-op with friends or wanting to unlock a bunch of stuff this is a definite buy. It's so much fun completing missions as your supped up Agent, even if it's your 10th or higher time through a mission. Even after completing this review I am planning on continue playing the co-op on this game for at least a month, and that makes it worth the sticker price.

Also even though this is an EA game there is no Online Pass, Locked content, or on the disc crap. Starbreeze actually specifically asked EA to not put an Online Pass in the game. This makes me really respect the company and its worth supporting games like this that don't want to be part of the BS that mainstream games are being torn apart for.

Positives:

* Fun combat that requires strategy in co-op missions

* Tons to unlock, find, complete and advance

* Well made story that had me wanting more, but also had a great conclusion

* Soundtrack that fit the game really well

* Fantastic graphics that shine through DART and enemy dismemberment

* NO ONLINE PASS

Negatives:

* Hard is really easy until you get to the final boss, which can be cheap if you're not ready (singleplayer)

* Co-op menu seemed to crash a few times, but a patch is going to fix this

Achievements: The achievements in this game are actually pretty fun to complete. They range from killing the bosses without using some abilities, unlocking everything and beating the game on hardest difficulty. Both the Single and Co-op Campaigns have achievements, and I think it's a fun game to attempt 100%.

****Update 2/24/12****

I haven't finished it yet, but the game is very much still fun with the intensity of the battles. The enemy AI isn't the brightest, but it's not the worst either. Rage's AI led to each battle being a setpiece in itself, this is more like a non-stop ride of killing aggressive AI's.

The initial fanboyism has worn off, but it's still a solid game. I agree that it's too short, and I wish there was more of a tactical side to it like the original had. Choose this mission, choose that mission, gain whichever improvement. Instead it's a fairly linear shooter. They've captured the environment, but then sort of left behind some of the fun parts. Maybe someone else will decide it's worth trying to do a tactical version much like X-Com revamp has the first person and the top down versions coming.

This is not a game for easy achivement hunters, the achivements are all obscure and tricky from what I'm reading. After 5 hours of play I popped *1*.

I have no co-op reviews to give yet.

I really enjoy the atmosphere. It combines what's great about Deus Ex Human Revolution, Bladerunner, and the original atmosphere of the games, while being totally unique. The graphics are excellent, the gunplay is satisfying, and the voice acting from the opening sequence alone is great. Brian connelly, Rosario Dawson are evident right off the bat (As well as the ultimate baddy from the original Crow movie. Deep menacing voice.)

The only thing I notice that while the world is pretty, you don't seem to be able to explore it much. Aside from nuggets of lives and personel files.

Maybe it gets better, maybe it stays the same, but so far it's fun as heck and it's worth a rental, purchase or playthrough just to experience it. Starbreeze did the excellent Chronicles of Riddick game which was far ahead of the curve graphically and a solid game as well.

I'll update when I finish it.

Honest reviews on Syndicate

I just got this last night from the UPS store. I have been a long time fan of the original, but obviously it needed an update. Since I am only 1.5 hours into the campaign, I cannot speak to the average 6 hours for the single player. I played the demo a few times. It is an awesome multiplayer experience. There are some server and lag issues, but hopefully EA will solve these.

Starbreeze is an excellent developer. They also made a favorite of mine, Riddick, so there are lighting similarities in the graphics. The sound is great and the ambient music feels like a 2012 version of Bladerunner. I know there will be some that dislike this game since they will put it in with BF3 and MW3, but for fans of the original, or a general sci-fi fan, this game is unbelievable.

I would tend to agree with others that this should be $40-50, but with the rebate, it comes out to $40. I would say to get it if you like the Matrix movie series, Bladerunner, or are a long time gamer who liked the original game. You're in for one heck of a ride!

If you are not a fan of the run the ONE SINGLE PATHWAY games then avoid this one. No side exploration at all, you simply move forward on the twisting predetermined path and fight your opponents as they are thrown at you. Tactics is the old "let's see how it kills me and then try to avoid that on the respawn" schtick that annoys completely with no real satisfaction. No tutorial, or gameplay help other than a crummy "Agent index" is nonintuitive to the extreme. Feels like a very cheap Deus Ex knock-off which is a shame because I loved the original syndicate back in the 90`s.
