I'm very impressed with this headset. It has a cool look and great sound quality for what it supports. The first thing I did once I opened it was plug it into my iPod (to test it out) and I was impressed with the sound quality. I'm no expert when it comes to buying headsets but I can say that this headset is worth the money. The entire ear fits inside between the soft outer cushions so outside noises are nearly impossible to hear unless they are very loud. I love this headset when i'm gaming, it really adds to the game atmosphere when you play with a decent headset like this. The microphone is crystal clear as well and is very conveniently movable.

All in all a great headset. And for the price it is well worth the deal. I only knock off one star because of a couple of things. The bass on the headset is definitely there but i'd say it only feels right at higher volumes, so at regular volumes the bass tends to leave me desiring more. Not a big deal since the sound quality is excellent and its not like it feels like there isn't any bass so its something I have no problem looking past,. And it also feels a bit uncomfortable to me at first but that's just because I haven't broken them in yet. I don't think it'll ever be the kind of headset where i'll put them on and forget that I have them on.

Great headset, I recommend it! For the hardcore gamer i'd probably look elsewhere but for the casual gamer who doesn't want to spend hundreds of dollars on a headset, look no further than here.

The sound quality is awesome. It was a huge step up from my old headset, and when gaming I can hear everything in perfect, crystal clear surround sound. And of course, music sounds downright sexy on these.

However, be ready for some serious headphone hair. This headset is very heavy and is a little bit of a tight fit at first. I wouldn't say it's uncomfortable because once you get used to it and break it in it's fine. It doesn't put any pressure on your ears which was a huge selling point for me and even after hours of marathon gaming I don't get headaches or sore ears from my headset.

Finally, the microphone. The sound quality is okay but not the best. It's not as clear as I was hoping it would be and almost sounds like, as my friends on ventrilo call it, "old time radio." But I think the quality may have to do more with your sound card/drivers so it may be completely different on your computer, just be weary of that. But one thing I can say for sure is that this microphone has AWESOME noise cancelling (a feature that my old headset severely lacked). If somebody is talking in the room right next to me, my friends can't hear it on skype or whatever voice chat I may be using. Also does a great job of blocking out the TV when I have it on, so the that's one big plus on this headset.

Overall this is a good piece of hardware for the money but not the best thing you can find. 3.5/5.0

What can I say? This product blew my mind away. I've been using a cheap $20 headset from sony my whole gaming life so getting this was a huge improvement. My fellow colleagues tell me that my mic is clear when I speak to them on Skype while I play games. If you are a FPS gamer, you'll love this. I can literally hear how many people are coming towards me and which direction they are coming from which gives me a huge advantage. If an enemy walks toward me from left, this headset only rings on the left side which tells you where to turn to brutally own your opponent. Unfortunately, I had to knock off one star for this product because it sometimes (but very rarely) get's uncomfortable. I mean this product is really comfortable, when put on correctly, but with my clumsiness and my glasses, it gets a little uncomfortable at times. However, that's the only flaw I find on this product. If you're deciding whether to get this or some other headset, get this one. Trust me, it's cheap for it's potential.

Honest reviews on Thermaltake HT-SHK002ECBL eSports SHOCK Gaming Headset (Diamond

My right channel died after 4 months. I am going to send them for warranty replacement.

I think that there is a bad design on how the cables are connected to the headset. There is no space for movement so the cables will get broken sooner or later.

I always had cheap headset [10$] that lasted years so I am quite surprised that this one that is supposed to be "higher quality" is actually lasted less than the 10$ ones. I mainly used it for Skype and music listening [no dance involved] so there was no major stress on cables.

I like the quality of the sound that is coming from the headset, but this is supposed to be a gaming so the wiring should be redesigned to be more resistant.

Review of Xbox 360 Energizer Power and Play Charging System - Black

Xbox 360 Energizer Power and Play Charging System - Black

I was a bit skeptical when buying this product. I've bought a lot of aftermarket products for my 360 before and the stuff usually works, but never 100%. This one works like a charm. You connect the remotes and when they aren't fully charged the red light comes on almost instantly. After some time (usually hour or two) the green lights will turn on to show the batteries are fully charged. I believe also it doesn't overcharge the battery, thus increasing the battery life. I've tried charging both original Microsoft batteries as well as some aftermarket battery packs (NyKo aftermarket battery packs to be specific) and this Energizer charger works well for BOTH. Plus this charger helps your remotes look a lot cooler when they are not in use rather than just having them thrown in a corner somewhere. Definitely worth the money, and I'm even considering buying a second one soon.

I have had 2 plug in play charger batteries die. The controllers would still work, as long as they were plugged into the xbox. I have 3 plug n play charge cables, and 2 xboxs. The problem exists on em all, so I know the problem was in the batteries. After one charge on this my batteries will hold a full charge again!!! Just got this yesterday, if it turns out I made this review early I will edit this post. But as of 24 hours after receiving this I couldn't be happier. Plus I like star trek and this thing looks like it could go warp 11. HAHA (yeah I know, physically impossible. Way to ruin a great joke!!!)

PS I saw a review saying the headset charger wasn't there. Well you may have accidentally thrown it away!!! It is a small piece that is optional, one end plugs into power cord and other end plugs into the base where the power cord would normally go. It is totally there, and good thing cause I bought a used wireless headset for $5 cause dude lost the charger. And it works just fine now. Its the whole reason I bought this.

I've used every charger out there that you can think of, including the regular play and charge kit for the batteries only. This is the best charging stand ever and also includes a spot to charge your wireless headset, so that frees up a plug on the surge protector.

Honest reviews on Xbox 360 Energizer Power and Play Charging System - Black

Apparently there are different variants of this product being sold under the same name. Mine came with two rechargeable batteries :) and did not include a headset charger option :< but that's fine with me because I don't have a rechargeable headset anyway.

The power adapter is a power strip friendly 5V 1A wall wart with a cord that's about 4' long and uses a mini coaxial connector.

IMHO this is by far the coolest looking 2-controller docking station you can get for your Xbox controllers.

It was a good controller works fine. Arrived on time as promised, in condition as promised. The only disappointment that I had was I bought it for someone who enjoys playing BF3 as well. And he cannot use all the codes because they blocked them from the game and then there is a risk of getting kicked from the game because of it. A little bummed but otherwise he likes it and uses it all the time.

Cheap Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why'd you steal our garbage

Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why'd you steal our garbage Collector's Edition 3DS

I'm a huge fan of the animated series and after hearing Pendleton Ward (the creator of the series) wrote the game, I wanted to check it out. The game plays similar to Zelda 2 for NES. There's an overworld but when you fight enemies, it goes into a side-scrolling environment. It looks great, very similar to the show, and there's a lot of characters spread throughout. And the writing is spot-on.

My main problem with the game is how short it is. I beat the entire game in 3 1/2 hours. All of the "quests" are fetch-style and "leveling" your stats just comes down to finding a chest with a stat boost inside and applying the boost to Health, Attack, or Speed. This game is obviously directed towards children, but I feel that children would be confused by the backtracking required to progress (ESPECIALLY near the end of the game). An example would be that an NPC asks for an item that is in a town that you were last in an hour ago and to get the item, you have to go to another place, get an item and take it to trade for ANOTHER item to give to the NPC that asked for it. Not bad at all for someone over 14 or so, but very hard to grasp for a child.

There is a new game plus mode after you beat the game, where you get to keep your stats and play thought the game again. It's a nice addition if you like that kind of thing (I don't tend to play "adventure" games more than once, though).

If you're a fan of the show, check it out, but wait til it drops a few bucks in price. If you're not a fan, it would more than likely be a pass. And if you're thinking about buying it for your kids, understand that the game is not "linear" (it is, but with very little hand-holding).

Hope this helps!

Got this in the mail just the other day and have not been able to put it down. It has so many little things that are just awesome.

I did get the collectors edition, Finn's sword stylist is pretty neat. The Enchiridion tin game case is top bloobies.

If you are an adventure time fan or know someone who is and has a 3DS, get this. you will not be disappointed.

Best Deals for Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why'd you steal our garbage

Specifics on the 3DS Collectors Edition:

Small fold out map is kind of useless, but neat. The "Book of Beasts" was a good little read on the different enemys in the game. The stylus looks like Finn's golden sword, all the way to the tip where it narrows to the standard stylus tip. The Steelbook case was very well done! It looked just like in the show, has some nice reflective paint on it, and stores the gabe box, stylus, map, instructions, and Book of Beasts easily.

Will upload a video unboxing of it later, can't just use my Youtube link...

GAME REVIEW:

Console Played: Nintendo 3DS (also available on the DS). The 3d made it look a bit like a pop-up book, with parallax scrolling of the background layers. It was enjoyable with or without this feature. Luckily, I believe the DS and 3DS versions are priced the same.

Completion Time: less than 8 hours.

Difficulty: Low.

Demographic: the 7 to 13 years range OR anyone who is an Adventure Time fan.

I'm a big biased fan of the TV series. When I heard there was going to be a Nintendo DS game coming out I was elated.

The game starts in a dream sequence that does nothing other than set you up for the tutorial. Most of the game is played in a side view platformer. You can punch (later use a sword), kick, and long punch with Jake who has taken up residence in your backpack. The world map is a top down view similar to Pokémon or the original Dragon Quest games. You can get into battles on the world map if you run into a dark shadow thing that appears. These can largely be avoided though.

Inside cities you can talk to the populace to either get quests or tips on what to do next. I made sure to read as many of these as possible because I like the humor and writing.

The average dungeon (many are just tunnels from one part of Ooo to another) has bottomless pits, various enemies, and very basic puzzles. Use an ability on this one thing, wall opens up. Find a key, locked door is no longer a problem. Basic videogame flow with minimal backtracking.

Nothing is horrifyingly difficult, and the player isn't punished for making mistakes. This is why I've described the game difficulty as low. But honestly, it isn't aimed at hardened gamers; it is meant to be played by younger kids who may need an introduction to videogame basics.

You do need reading comprehension in order to progress in the game without blindly stumbling around. The game capitalizes item names in the speech bubbles so that young readers can pick it up. If my nephew gets a Nintendo DS this Xmas I'll probably buy him this game as he needs to practice reading.

This wasn't just a cash-in by the creator Pendleton Ward nor Cartoon Network. I've played crappy kids' games that are made poorly and rushed out to make a quick buck off of kids who only want it because their favorite character is on it. The gameplay, art, music, and writing were all enjoyable. Getting a New Game + mode should make this game last longer for younger players.

Honest reviews on Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why'd you steal our garbage

..."Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why'd you steal our garbage?"

Let me start off with this; This is a must have for any Adventure Time, Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, or both lover.

The game's mathmatical!

The power-ups are cool, the many characters are great to see, and the lines are hilarious. True Adventure Time humor.

Not to mention the great collector's edition bonuses, like the sword stylus, or the bestiary guide book, or the sweet steel book case.

All for only $10.00 more!

So thank you Ice King, for stealing their garbage...okay that sounds a bit weird but still, this game is brilliant! And it isn't Adventure Time with garbage-stealing.

Or knife-wielding bunnies for that matter.

Anyway,

highly recommended from

Captain Whatsit

This really helps keeping my PS3 and Xbox controllers charged up since I can go for a long time not playing one of the systems. However, I can't always keep it plugged in since the LEDs are rather bright in a dark room, making it a bit harder to sleep in the room.

The product itself was great but not what I thought it was when I ordered it. I thought it was a charger just for PS3 remotes but this one was for PS3 and XBox 360. But it was a good invention.

Best Deals for KONNET Xbox 360, Xbox Elite, Xbox Slim Power Pyramid Charger

It comes with its' own power cord to plug into any electrical outlet. Which means you don't have to keep the gaming system on to charge controllers anymore. There are two ports for charging Xbox360 controllers + two ports for PS3 controllers. They are not interchangeable or swappable. ie you cannot charge four Xbox360 or four PS3 controllers at the same time. I should have bought one station for Xbox360 controllers and another station for PS3 controllers instead of two of these stations. The product works great and it even refreshed the batteries for the 360 controller that wouldn't hold a charge very long. It took about 24 hours to refresh the battery and charge it. Now it charges the controllers in a very short amount of time. The lights show you when the charge is complete by changing from red to blue. The HDMI cable included makes this an excellent buy.

Honest reviews on KONNET Xbox 360, Xbox Elite, Xbox Slim Power Pyramid Charger

I got this for my husband for Christmas. It was one of his "he could use now" presents. The stand is awesome lets you know when it is charging by changing from a red to a blue light. Red for not charged, blue for charged. The controllers pop on and off easily. It required no assembly, except to be plugged in. We thoroughly enjoy it and really enjoy not having to wait on charging controllers or switching to battery backup(for the XBOX 360). He loved receiving it and was a great choice. And love that it came with an HDMI cable, never know when you need another one of those.

If you're a true X-Files fan then you will probably enjoy this game, die-hard adventure and RPG gamers need not bother with it as they will find it too linear and simple. I got about half-way through the game (which is on 4 CD's) before I ran into a section that had me stumped (I'm an X-Files fan but not too good at adventure-type games!) I managed to track down a walk-through for the game which helped me out, and it also mentioned lots of silly things you can do in the game that result in interesing outcomes.

Once you've completed the game you probably won't play again, unless you're looking for easter eggs.

This battery pack is beautifully packaged with a black rubberized coated case. The black rubber coating is slightly textured so it is not a fingerprint magnet and it improves the looks of the case and your grip. It is a powerful battery pack rated at 6000 mAh of capacity and the test results were spectacular! I put together a video of the unit and the test results for your review.

The battery weighs in at 4 3/4 ounces. The battery pack has one USB output port that outputs 5 VDC at 2 Amps. It is a smart USB port whose output current will never exceed the capacity of your smart device's current charging capability. The battery is extremely energy efficient and its performance is 10 percent or more above the standard performance of a normal designed external battery. This is because of the superior quality of the battery cells used and the advanced control circuitry within the battery.

During the testing the temperature of the battery pack never even exceeded ambient room temperature. To start your device charging you connect it with the proper cable and the battery pack charging starts automatically. To check the battery pack charge status you have to shake the battery and the LED ring lights up.

This product is outstanding and I rate it at 5 stars. If you are a business person or a student and have to depend on your tablet or smart phone for long periods of time without the ability to get to an AC power source then this is a good battery to own. This is good for those who travel a lot or camp out. Now you can watch your movies or listen to your music on those long airline flights. While this battery pack can put some charge into your tablets it is more ideal for use in recharging your smart phone. Because of its size it is great to drop into a purse, briefcase or a pocket.

You should note that I did not operate my tablets or phones while I charged it but the WIFI and phone transmitter were left on. When I test a battery I do an extensive set of tests that fully charges the battery and then I use it to charge devices and make sure that it is fully depleted when my tests are done. I time each test and document the results as the test progresses. I then calculate the mAh of capacity that the battery supplied and I then calculate its charging efficiency. This process takes from 3 hours to, in very large batteries, about a day for testing. I don't take any short cuts or guess and every battery has these tests performed on it and documented. This is to assure that the battery is tested and it performs well. If a battery has performed poorly I then run the tests again to verify the results.

Items in the box:

* The Anker 2nd Gen Astro 6000 mAh battery

* The battery pack comes with an instruction manual.

* A USB charging cable that is 12 inches long.

* A nice carrying bag for the battery

* You may have to use the charging cable that comes with many of your own devices.

Anker 2nd Gen Astro 6000 mAh External Battery Pack Features:

* Powerful 6000 mAh capacity

* The unit is compact and weighs in at 4 3/4 ounces.

* Attractive design with a black rubberized external coating. The black rubberized coating is slightly textured so it is not a fingerprint magnet and easy to grip.

* The specifications and ports are nicely labeled on the case.

* It has 10 LED status lights in a ring located on the front that indicates the battery charge level. You have to shake the battery and the LED ring will light up and indicate the battery charge level. Each LED represents 10% of capacity.

* This is an ideal size and power of battery to carry in a purse, briefcase or backpack for your smart phone!

* There is one USB power output. It is a USB port rated at 5 VDC and 2 Amps and it is a smart USB port the uses only the current required by your device to properly charge it as quickly as possible.

* When you plug in a device then the charging process of your device begins automatically.

* The battery pack uses Lithium battery technology.

* The battery pack can be recharged 500+ times

* Warranty is 18 months

* The battery pack does not come with an AC wall charger. It is specified to be charged with 5 VDC at 1 amp. It will charge in 5 to 6 hours at 1 Amp input. You can charge the battery using a USB 2.0 port of your computer that is rated at 500 mA but the charging time will be 11 to 12 hours.

* The battery is extremely energy efficient and its performance is 10 percent or more above the standard performance of a normal designed external battery. This is because of the superior quality of the battery cells used and the advanced control circuitry within the battery.

Test charging devices to measure the output capacity:

I charged the battery pack fully before I started my test. I started with a Kindle Fire at 25% and the Anker 2nd Gen Astro was fully charged with 10 LEDs.

* 30 min Kindle Fire at 48% and the Anker battery had 6 LEDs

* 60 min Kindle Fire at 70% and the Anker battery had 4 LEDs

* 90 min Kindle Fire at 82% and the Anker battery had 4 LEDs

* 120 min Kindle Fire at 87% and the Anker battery had 4 LEDs

* 150 min Kindle Fire at 100% and the Anker battery had 4 LEDs

I started with an iPhone 5S at 22% and the Anker 2nd Gen Astro at 4 LEDs.

* 30 min iPhone 5S at 54% and the Anker battery had 3 LEDs

* 60 min iPhone 5S at 84% and the Anker battery had 2 LEDs

* 90 min iPhone 5S at 95% and the Anker battery had 2 LEDs

* 120 min iPhone 5S at 100% and the Anker battery had 2 LEDs

A second iPhone 5S at 79% and the Anker 2nd Gen Astro at 2 LEDs.

* 30 min iPhone 5S at 97% and the Anker battery had 1 LED

* 60 min iPhone 5S at 100% and the Anker battery had 1 LED flashing

I started charging an iPad 2 at 10% and the Anker 2nd Gen Astro at 1 LED flashing.

* In two minutes the iPad was at 12 % and the Anker battery was dead

Summary of charging tests:

* Charge an Kindle Fire 75% x 4400 = 3300 mAh

* Charge an iPhone 5S 78% x 1560 = 1216.8 mAh

* Charge a second iPhone 5S 21% x 1560 = 327.6 mAh

* Charge and iPad 2 2% x 6944 = 139 mAh

* Test result = 3300 + 1216.8 +327.6 + 139 =4983.4 mAh/6000 mAh = 83% efficiency

* That is an outstanding efficiency result for this battery.

Here are some common devices and the amount of mAh of capacity they have when they are fully charged. This is just to give you an impression of how much energy it takes to charge your smart device:

* iPhone 4 battery 1,420 mAh battery capacity

* iPhone 4S battery 1,432 mAh battery capacity

* iPhone 5 battery 1440 mAh battery capacity

* iPhone 5S battery 1560 mAh battery capacity

* iPad 2 battery 6,944 mAh battery capacity

* iPad 3 battery 11,560 mAh battery capacity

* Kindle Fire battery 4400 mAh capacity

* Kindle Keyboard battery 1750 mAh capacity

* iPad 4 battery is 11,486 mAh 3.7 VDC at 42.5 Wh

* iPad Mini battery is 4490 mAh at 3.72 VDC 16.7 Wh

As you can see the Anker 2nd Gen Astro 6000 will not fully charge a totally dead iPad 2, 3 or 4 because it only contains 6000 mAh of capacity. You have to consider the losses in the charging circuits of both the battery pack and the device you are charging. When using an external battery you have to allow approximately 30 % of the battery capacity will be lost to heat, voltage conversion, powering the batteries electronics and the electronics of your electronics device's charging circuits. In addition you have to consider that your device is not truly off like a cell phone is still connected to the WIFI and phone networks and probably receiving emails, etc.

Real world examples of charging capability with this battery pack:

* iPhone 4 approximately 351% of a full charge out of a fully charged Anker 2nd Gen Astro 6000 mAh battery pack

* iPhone 5S approximately 319.5% of a full charge

* iPad 2 approximately 71.8% of a full charge

* iPad 3 or 4 approximately 43% of a full charge

* iPad Mini approximately 111% of a full charge

* Kindle Fire approximately 113% of a full charge

* A normal estimated usable storage is 70% of capacity or .70 * 6000 mAh = 4200 mAh charging capacity available for your electronic devices.

* In my testing I was able to use approximately 4983.4 mAh of capacity or roughly 83% of the 6000 mAh capacity. This is an outstanding result.

I received a sample product for evaluation and I promised to provide a fair and honest review.

Product exterior -

Main Unit overall the finish has a great feel to it. A very smooth soft plastic that might show some smudges from skin oils if you look really hard but easy to clean off. It has a good weight to it considering it fits in the hand very comfortably. The ends are very glossy and while the end with the usb ports (input and smart) is perfectly clean, the other side with the imprint saying 'Made in China, model number' was a tiny bit scratched up but nothing really noticeable. It does say over here that input is 1A and output is 2A. Ironically the serial number is not listed on this side at all or on the unit. ****The serial number is actually on a the short charging cable. ***Important, for warranty purposes do not remove this sticker..... I admit that I don't like this because usually any large stickers on cables I usually cut off, and also because the serial number should be on the unit itself rather than just the microusb cable.

Microusb Cable The microusb is a very good quality 1ft charging cable. Some people might prefer longer but fortunately it has the high-quality shielded ends that Samsung OEM Cables have. There is a plastic covering over the ends protecting the finish that you can peel off.

Carrying Pouch an interesting sports-like carrying pouch that is double layered and has a closing elastic mechanism. The microusb cable does fit inside with unit while pouch is closed.

Description of use Very easy to install. I simply connected the microusb input on unit to an Anker 2A USB charger (1A or higher is great). I found it was like 80% charged and it charged up to 100% fairly quickly. It works very simply and great. There is no need for a long charging cable and finding an outlet, this solution works even better and is very portable. I still have not yet tested it on iPhones or the newest Samsung Galaxy Tablets but it does it work perfectly with Galaxy S4 and other Android phones. The unit does not need to be shaken to start charging, it simply starts when plugged in. While charging it does constantly blink the light on and out every second which can get annoying but does at least update its amount of battery left. The white ring is divided up into 10 leds. With unit disconnected simply shaking it shows you the charge level.

So far it charges roughly 0.6% per minute on a Galaxy S4. According to 'Galaxy Charging Current' it shows 1900mAh and after a little while drops down to 1200mAh (it does this on stock too). I still need to do more tests though for accuracy and will update later.

UPDATE! 2013-10-19 I have now confirmed that it charges at 0.9% per minute on Galaxy S4 at 2A. So it takes between 90 to 120 minutes to fully charge the phone. The last 10% charges more slowly. I did the test from 1% to 93% in about 96 minutes with minimal usage of screen. Also after using a 100% charged Anker 2nd Gen Astro 6000mAh, I unfortunately was left with 40% battery on that unit so enough for almost two charges on a Galaxy S4.

Ideal users I recommend these Portable External Batteries to anyone with a smartphone with non-removable batteries. With an iPhone I'd expect to the user to get 4 Full Charges with this unit. With a Galaxy S4 about 2 Full Charges. I recommend getting a higher capacity if you are going on a bigger trip and need more than 10 full charges without recharging the unit.

Overall outstanding item and I'm very impressed

Best Deals for Anker® 2nd Gen Astro 6000mAh Portable Charger Rapid-Recharge (2A

After rolling out new 2nd generation versions of Astro 3 (3 outputs) and Astro 2 (2 outputs), now is a turn for Astro with a single charging output. While Astro 3 was very impressive with three outputs and 12000 mAh capacity, it was a relatively large and heavy device, which is expected. Astro 2 shrunk it down to 2 outputs and 9000 mAh capacity with a more pocket friendly footprint. Here with single output Astro and 6000 mAh capacity the size was reduced down to an awesome compact size which you can store even inside of a very small purse. But don't let the small size fool you you still get all new 2nd gen design with every bell'n'whistle of Astro 2 and 3. So let's take a closer look.

Continuing with their environmentally friendly packaging, battery came inside of a neatly packaged box which contained a battery itself, a manual (always very detailed), and accessory box with usb to micro-usb cable and a mesh draw-string storage bag for a battery and a cable. Now let me tell you about the size of this battery its is SMALL!!! Weighting around 130g and with a size of 90mm by 45mm and thickness of 25mm it will easily fit in a palm of your hand where you can make a fist hiding it inside. That's how compact it is. With a new rounded design and smooth edges, the hard plastic shell is lined with a soft touch rubbery finish. You get one micro-usb battery charging port (1A speed to charge the battery itself) and one full usb smart output port for any Android or Apple device. The output supports a maximum charging speed of up to 2A. In my quick test with OEM usb cable I confirmed a charging speed of 1.5A using my Note 2. The speed will obviously vary depending on the cable you use, so keep that in mind and use usb cables with thicker wires.

Just like with Astro 2 and 3, this 2nd gen device uses a new 10-segment circle LED indicator to show you the charging progress of the battery or the remaining charge on the battery in increments of 10% thus giving you a higher precision reading. Most of the other batteries usually include 4 LEDs to indicate 25% increments, but with Astro you are getting a better precision. There is no power button anywhere around smooth surface of this battery. To start the charging or to check the remaining capacity you just shake it and display LED comes alive. Also, considering actual capacity of any external battery is typically 30% less then advertised value, in case of 2nd gen Astro a more efficient conversion circuit is used which gives close to 80% efficiency, so you can count on about 4700-4800 mAh of charging power. Considering super compact shape of this battery, this is very impressive and perfect as a portable emergency charge you can take with you anywhere.

Overall, the design, the efficiency, the charging speed, and compact size of this battery makes it a very attractive package. It is also very unique and sets it apart from competition. Add to that Anker's 18-month warranty and great support with introductory price of $29.99 on Amazon this is one fantastic value. I highly recommend it!

Honest reviews on Anker® 2nd Gen Astro 6000mAh Portable Charger Rapid-Recharge (2A

The Anker 2nd Gen Astro 6000mAh External Battery is everything I was looking for in an external battery pack. It's small, comes with a one foot micro-USB cord, and a travel bag that holds everything neatly. It also has a nice heft and a smooth rubberized finish that makes it a beauty to hold in your hand.

This pack also holds a large charge. I was able to fully charge my Nexus S phone and top off (30%) my Nexus 7 tablet while only using just over a quarter of the battery pack.

The Anker 2nd Gen Astro 6000mAh Portable Power Bank is made perfectly for those who want to bring power on the go. This battery pack has 6000mAh of power inside which means you can charge your iPhone 5 about 2 twice and a little more possibly. The battery pack has 1 USB port that is rated at 2 amps/5 volts. The USB port is labeled "Smart. The other port is the micro USB port. This port is used to charge the actual battery pack. You can charge the battery pack at 1 amp/5 volts. You can use the wall charger that came with your smartphone. I have charged my iPhone 5 with this battery pack and it worked fantastically.

Box Contents:

-Anker 2nd Gen Astro 6000mAh Portable Power Bank

-Short micro USB cable

-Carry case

-Instruction manual

The battery has a matte feel all around and is glossy on the sides where the USB port is. The battery is a dark charcoal black. The edges are round making it feel like you have a good solid grip while holding it. The sides that are glossy are a fingerprint magnet. This battery uses 10 LED ring to tell you how much power is left for use. This is a neat design and is different than the traditional 4 LED power level gauge. I like that.

Overall, this is an easy to use and excellently designed battery pack. Anker has again made an outstanding product. I recommend this battery pack to someone who needs power on the go for a smartphone like an iPhone.

(Pros/Cons at the end)

I never played the first Scribblenauts. I recall the buzz it made at E3 2009 with its write-anything, create-anything gameplay, but I just never got around to buying it.

That's a good thing, though, because Super Scribblenauts is the perfect entry into the series for first-time scribblers. With revamped controls, improved physics, and the addition of adjectives, Super Scribblenauts is probably what the first game should have been all along.

The game puts you in the shoes of Maxwell, who must solve puzzles and overcome obstacles with the help of--well, virtually anything you can think of. The crux of Scribblenauts is the notepad, where you can write anything that comes to mind--be it a ladder, a tiger, a gun, a panda, and so on--and see it (usually) come to life in the game world.

This, as you can imagine, opens up a wealth of creative possibilities. One early puzzle in the game tasks you with making a lion go to sleep. A possible solution is to write in "moon," which summons a moon and turns the sky dark, allowing the lion to sleep. Another solution is to summon a tranquilizer gun and shoot the lion with it. You can even write in "sleepy meat" and feed it to the lion, who will become sleepy in turn.

This is where adjectives come into play. From what I've heard about the first game, you could only summon objects, which in itself is a powerful idea. But here, you can give life to the craziest corners of your imagination: a vampiric, purple, striped, floating, friendly panda is not out of the question. Whether that panda will give you any use toward any of the game's 120 levels is another issue, but it's something you can play with endlessly in the game's "sandbox" title screen.

The story levels themselves range from genuinely brainteasing to somewhat uninspired. The aforementioned "sleepy lion" level is an early standout, while another level in which you have to summon specific types of food is merely so-so. The game shines when it encourages you to discover strange solutions, but it falls when the answers are limited to obvious outcomes.

That's why the title screen sandbox is such a gamesaver. When you're itching to stretch your creative muscles, or to test the game's dictionary, you're free to summon all sorts of things and see how they play out in the game's world. You can create, erase, and create all over again to your heart's content. Put Santa Claus on a friendly winged velociraptor, if you wish.

Scribblenauts is flexible in that its levels are all bite-sized affairs, easy for those playing on the go, and yet there's enough of a pull from the core creative gameplay that you can sit for hours and still not get bored. Even so, those 120 levels will go by quickly, so Scribblenauts certainly isn't an epic game. But it's thankfully extended by the option to replay most levels in "advanced" mode, where you have to complete a level three times in a row by using different objects each time. You can re-use the same objects from the very first time you played the level, so really you're coming up with two new solutions, not three, but that probably makes it easier on the brain in some instances. I just wish I could turn off the hint pop-ups in advanced mode--I don't need to be told to do the same objective three times in a row.

Overall, Scribblenauts is a great, fun--and funny!--game. I'm giving it four stars because it stands as an extremely solid title, but a few issues (like only being able to share custom levels with friends) prevent it from the legendary greatness of a five-star game. Even so, this is one of the coolest games for the DS, and it's suitable for all ages. It's even a great title for parents to bond with their children by solving puzzles together and giving suggestions to the youngsters on what to summon. Highly recommended.

Pros:

+ This is a great first point of entry into the series. Since there's no real plot, you can start this game without needing to have played the first Scribblenauts.

+ The achievement-like Merit system is an addictive way to encourage you to try certain things in the game, and Merits can be earned even in the title screen sandbox.

+ Buying costumes for Maxwell is a lot of fun. You can play as a girl, if you want to, even though you're still technically Maxwell in disguise.

+ The game offers purchasable hints if you're really stumped in a level, and these hints will even unlock on their own if you wait long enough.

+ Adjectives. I can't imagine playing Scribblenauts without them!

+ Two different control schemes: stylus only, or the d-pad/buttons. Both schemes are lefty-friendly.

+ The custom level creator is fun and very easy to use.

+ Most levels aren't timed, giving you room to think.

+ 3 save slots, so multiple people can enjoy this game without stepping on each other's toes.

+ The in-game dictionary is impressive. You can summon a surprising range of things, and they'll be relatively accurate. (I was very surprised to find I could create a Teratorn.)

+ This game will make you actually reach for a dictionary just to see what kinds of fun things you can summon. A great way to expand vocabulary and sharpen spelling!

+ In-game spelling suggestions can lead you to new, strange objects.

Cons:

Custom levels can only be shared with friends. I can only imagine how long the life of this game could be extended if the developers let people share levels with the world.

Some of the story levels are uninspired.

Not every object behaves as it should, or as you'd expect it to. Some objects are copies of others, or are otherwise useless.

Recommended for:

* Creative children (probably ages 6 and up, because you need to know basic spelling and language to effectively play the game).

* Creative adults (who will totally feel their inner child awaken as they play this game).

* People who want some novelty in their games.

* People who haven't played the first Scribblenauts and want another great title for their DS.

Things to note:

* This game, Super Scribblenauts, is the second game in the series. Scribblenauts is the first game. Their boxes and titles are very similar, so pay close attention if you're purchasing this as a gift for someone.

I bought the original last year and the superior sequel this year. I am a >30 year old male and love this series. As a kid playing videogames I always wondered why I couldn't kick open locked doors or use a rope in my inventory to rappel down a cliff. I was always limited to what the developers wrought. Nothing against them, I love a good scripted game.

When, in the first game I used a helicopter with a carrot to coax a cow to move out of a traffic jam; a sound that I hadn't heard in a looong time ushered from my lips. I was giggling.

This game recreates that moment and more. Having an undead haunted chair scare a purple spotted baby made me giggle, as much as having a pregnant zombie monkey ravage a bouncy, angry zoo.

Now I KNOW its not for everyone, and I do have a hard time explaining my fascination to other adults, but this is the best lego box I've played with in 2 decades.

What can you expect from Super Scribblenauts?

You can expect to see a grown man giggle at a gentlemanly giant spider. Monocles and all.

For those who don't remember, Scribblenauts was supposed to be one of the greatest video games ever made. It had a library of tens of thousands of objects you could summon and combine in virtually infinite ways. Alas, the game suffered from quirky physics and horrendous controls. You could spend an enormous amount of time creating an elaborate solution to a puzzle, only to have the main character misinterpret a screen tap and throw himself off a cliff or casually blow himself up.

I am extremely pleased to report that 5th Cell seems to have learned from their mistakes and have fixed all those issues with their sequel, Super Scribblenauts.

The game physics have been greatly improved. In the original, connected objects tended to flail around. If you attached a chain to a stick, your character would thrash about like he was insane. Placing a magnet on top of a car would cause the car to fly off the screen and disappear. These flaws have been fixed in Super Scribblenauts. Gravity behaves more normally and things no longer float around when attached to each other.

Even more important, the controls have been fixed. You now have the option of using the stylus or the D-pad. If you decide to use the touch screen to move, you'll find that Maxwell isn't jumpy like in the original game. He keeps his feet on the ground unless he needs to jump and he doesn't run off if you accidentally tap the wrong place on the screen. You also can no longer accidentally drop objects; tapping on yourself brings up a menu instead. You can now take objects away from NPCs, something you couldn't easily do in the original. The camera also stays wherever you put it, instead of returning to Maxwell automatically.

The new version of the game adds adjectives to its already enormous dictionary. So now instead of merely summoning a "car", you can be specific and summon a "blue car", a "small car" or a "wooden car". You can use multiple adjectives, so you can even summon a "small blue wooden car". On one puzzle, I tried summoning a "romantic dinner" and ended up with a steak with heart thought balloons.

The hint system has also been improved. Hints cost money, but the amount required decreases the longer you keep trying at the level. Eventually the game will provide the hints for free if you try long enough.

In the original game, there wasn't much incentive to be creative with the objects you summon; I ended up using "wings" on almost every single level that required flying or climbing. Super Scribblenauts on the other hand rewards originality. Each new word you use gets you money, so it pays to break out the thesaurus.

Super Scribblenauts is everything Scribblenauts should have been. It's a shame the designers didn't get it right the first time, but at least they learned from their mistakes and got the sequel right.

Honest reviews on Super Scribblenauts

My kids age 9 and 13 have XBOX 360, Wii, and DSi. They have had in the past Gamecube, original XBOX, Playstation, DS, Gameboy, Leapster, Vsmile. Of all the years, and platforms, I would put this game in the top 10. I am amazed that even after having it for over a year, they both continue to come back to it, and enjoy hours of re-play. I am also impressed that it is so educational. They learn spelling, and new ways of thinking. I even have to use my brain sometimes to help them with spelling, or to think of a creative way of solving the problem.

I bought this game for my 12 yr old daughter's birthday present. She loves it! It is challenging and still fun. The difficulty increases as the levels increase. It helps with spelling and vocabulary without her even knowing it's a learning game. She enjoys being able to create her own characters.

Great game, worth the money, definitely would recommend.

I never played the original fallout games, but I have always been an elder scrolls fan. Oblivion is one of my favorite games that I have ever had the pleasure of playing, news that the same team bought up and was working on this game made me very happy, if it could just be oblivion with guns, I would be sure to find much enjoyment. However it is SO much more.

The game is epic in scope, when you are "born" you crawl around, and you find this book (which is very cool) that teaches you about the S.P.E.C.I.A.L System, and you get to choose how you will be. I love the whole way this game is presented, everything seems very realistic, the environments are of the best I have ever seen.

The voice acting has to be heard to be enjoyed. I finally beat this sucker, after many late night gaming sessions (who needs sleep?) its crazy how many times I would say, ok, a few more minutes then its time to sleep, and the next thing I know the suns coming up!

One of the cool things about this game is the Pip-Boy 3000, it is how you manage everything, stuff you pick up, your aid, your ability to check your radiation level, as well as letting you check your maps, choose your quest, and the coolest feature of all, the ability to listen to the in game radio.

The radio features music from the 40's and 50's and its all real music, very unique, and fits perfectly into the world this game has created. I love it. It adds so much to the experience.

Since your reading this review, you may wish to know about the "Collectors" features. So lets get into if its worth you dropping another 20$ for.

There is no definitive Yes or No. If you work in the game industry, this is one of the best things you can buy, you get a 100 page art book that looks really good, you get the concept art for the creatures, character armor, and environment landscapes. This book makes others such as gears of war seem quite inadequate, this book alone was worth the price for me. The very cool looking lunchbox which houses everything only sweetens the deal, it is very well constructed, and looks awesome, that's all i can say. If you enjoy the retro type advertising of the game (and in game) you will love the lunch box, it is very cool. You get a making of dvd, which I'm planning on exploring later on after I beat the game again. You also get the bobble head which is currently "bobbling" right now as I type. I love this guy, he looks awesome, I'm somewhat disappointed we didn't get the version with him giving a thumbs up, but this is still cool nonetheless.

This is a very good game, much more mature than oblivion due to the language and themes (one part has you visiting a virtual world, where you break up a marriage, beat up a little kid to make him cry, then proceed with murdering all the inhabits while wearing a mask scaring them all away -though you can avoid it, if you figure out how to get out on your own!)

Speaking of which, I must mention the cool perks system. If you want to play the game as being evil (my next play through for sure!) you can use the "Sandman" Perk and kill people in their sleep, if that's not enough, there is a perk that lets you eat people! Also whenever you pick pocket you can replace what you stole with a grenade and watch as they die (you get an achievement for this too!)

The game is so good, so slick, I really hope they treat this game like oblivion and offer some expansions, maybe one taking place in NY, LA, or something, that would be very cool.

The new VATS system is pretty cool, you can use Attack Points and use your weapon in a cinematic view that lays waste to your enemy, weather your slamming a sledgehammer down on a demon dog, or shooting off a raiders head with your hand gun or rifle (think resident evil type animations), with that said, this game had me jumping several times throughout, it is very good and you get very involved in this game.

Lastly, I must mention the graphics are the best I have seen. They surpass Oblivion, and look better than any game out on the 360 right now.

Bottom line, pick it up, you will be playing this more than 1-2 days, it is a very good game, a game that requires repeat visits. It combines the best of all my favorite games, GTA's seedy underground environment, Resident Evils Character design, boss strength, and the gun play and horror, oblivions fantastic engine and how everything goes together. It has to be played to truly enjoy.

Also, the guide is NOT necessary, the game is pretty easy to figure out on your own. (though not an easy game)

I got my CE from amazon this afternoon, and this is the nicest CE I bought this year comparing to the Fable 2 CE and GTA 4 CE. The CE package has a neat looking lunch box, you could either put it somewhere as a decoration or use it as the storage for small stuff. That Pipboy figure is a fine-maded bubblehead, kinda hilarious. There is also an artbook of 100 pages featuring the concept art in Fallout3, and a DVD of making of the fallout 3. I think the CE is totally worth the price especially now amazon is offering the $10 giftcard.

Now thinking about the game, maybe you would argue that this is just "Oblivion with guns", but this "Oblivion with guns" has more to offer than just "Oblivion with guns". It has a massive story(according the guide i received today, after you completed the game you got tons to do), also the SPECIAL is back! Pipboy is back. I cant help crying after i creating my character and seeing a whole new wasteland, which is far more detailed than the game I played 10 years ago. Maybe you would argue again, Bethesda is incapable of doing top-notch black humor like Black Isle, but the feels of exploring the wasteland is back, here I listed a few pros and cons

Pros

+ build of the whole wasteland

+ mission design

+ user interface

+ storytelling

+ Pipboy

+ tons of things to explore

Cons

cant skip the VATS slow motion

making choices wont affect whole game too much unlike previous ones

In general, I would recommend this game to those who love Oblivion.

The short answer: Game of the Year.

There you go, no need to read further. You're wasting valuable playing time.

For those with a bit more of an attention span: Game of the Year --because ---

While it seems at first glance that Fallout 3 might just be Oblivion reskinned, spending a little time with this game will dispell that notion completely. Yes, it's made by Bethesda and if you've played their earlier RPGs Morrowind and Oblivion you will see a lot of similarities and will definitely feel right at home with this game. But the similarities quickly fade into mere recognizable structural convention as the player begins to see that there is a rather stout and unexpected FPS mixed with their RPG.

Okay RPG players it's not going to be all mindless or super difficult finger twitching gun battles --you are thinkers --well the VATS system is only one button away and you can take a half an hour to pick a limb, body, or head shot if that's how you wish to play. All the strategy of leveling up, what powers to get, weapons to get, and what armor etc. are still there --there's even a very lite version of co-op play if you find the right characters.

And to the skeptical FPS players --I've played 'em all --all the Halo games, Far Cry, Bioshock etc. etc. etc. --whatever --and this is as smooth and solid as any of those games as a shooter. I repeat, smooth and solid. But when you want a little extra sauce on your kills, once again, the VATS system is the answer for you as well. Very satisfying slow motion ultra-gory head explosions and full utilization of the Havoc psychics engine are just a button push away. Really that's nothing but pure fun.

This is an extremely detailed and fascinating world that is brought to life with great care, ambition, and talent. Also, as simple and predictible as the story might be, I found myself actually following it and often being amused by it instead of completely ignoring it on my way to the next action sequence. I swear, I have no idea what's going on in Halo for example --nor do I care.

And lastly, for the Fallout 1 and 2 players --you probably won't think anything will be as good as those games. But really this game has captured a lot of the flavor those games --while attaining a very next generation playability --besides we need to move into this century now. Here's a tissue.

Bethesda, Nice effort on this outstanding game and also on the excellent collectors edition --cool bobble, art book, video, and lunch box. My favorite CE so far.

Honest reviews on Fallout 3 Collector's Edition -Xbox 360

I love this game wholeheartedly and cant wait for the Fallout: New Vegas Collector's Edition.

I do however recommend that if you have a capable PC to buy this game for PC and download the G.E.C.K. If you like to mod for games this is a great one to mod for. There is a huge community for modders for Fallout 3 and the things you can do are seemingly limitless. For example you can...

Add new perks, have ridable mounts, have new companions, new housing options, change the animations, add an expanded arsenal of weapons and armor, wear disguises to fool different factions.

It is a must in my opinion to play this game to its fullest.

Cheers,

Billy

Run Like Hell is made by Interplay, a US company.

I have played DeusEx and Noone Lives For Ever on the PC. They are both First person adventure games. As we all know PC graphics cards are superior to any of the game consoles. The graphics in RLH is just as good and better than the graphics in those games. RLH is 3rd person with a camera angle close from behind but it almost looks like a first person adventure. Personally I prefer first person view, but Interplay makes tons of good RPG games where the player interacts with non-player characters the player can control. But RLH still feels like first person because the camera is so close behind the player character. It is easy to pan the camera simultaneously while running and moving around. The people who have problems with the controls are in my opinion physically very uncoordinated. If you don't believe the graphics are good, just go to your local video store and play a tutorial session in Run Like Hell.

I read so much untrue garbage about RLH; I begin to wonder if people are deliberately malicious. It is a Sci-Fi game with very good graphics. It isn't 100% verbatim copy of the real world, but the game world is very believable and you immerse yourself into the story. The story and acting is good. There are flaws, but they are not irritatingly visible and don't take away from the story.

Game play is easy; most enemies can be killed with your rifle. Be sure to upgrade it to max power, or use cheat codes to get max power. But this game is all about the story. A few puzzles are sophisticated and original, but most puzzles are easy. There are no more than 20 key codes in the game for doors, elevators, computers, airlocks and control panels etc. You don't have to look far for the codes. If you enter every room on your way, you automatically find all codes as every place to look have exclamation marks marking their spot. Many doors are jammed making it very few rooms to enter.

This is the best game i own, and i have a pretty impressive library (Halo, Splinter Cell...). The graphics are amazing, and it has one hell of a battle engine. True, the story is like alot of games, you knew, guys with powerful guns running around, shooting aliens, but the rest of the game completly makes up for it. The aliens come in the barrelful, and if you play it with the lights off at midnight, theres a large chance you will wet yuorself. This game gets an eleven out of ten. GREAT GAME, and its only $...

Bought out of a bargain bin, I actually found a small treasure. Yeah the graphics for this game cannot compare to some others, but it more than makes up for that in gameplay and story. It is repetative at times, but you can't just go into every battle with guns blazing. There are times when you do have stop and plan a strategy.

I love the real voice acting. It was fun trying to figure out where you heard those voices before. Also the rock music comes on a erfect times during gameplay and gives a whole new feeling to the action. If you ever get a chance, listen to "Breaking Benjamin" the band in the game.

This is not one of the best action games out there, but it is definatelty above average and in my opinion worth the money.

I have to disagree a little with the previous review in regards to this snap-on controller faceplate. First and foremost the graphics for this product are right here on the page, nice blown up screen shots of what this looks like. So if you are unimpressed with the graphics that you see, why buy it? I will agree that the faceplate snaps on perfectly. A little bit of a draw back to it being a faceplate, is that it causes the buttons to be inlaid, only slightly though;I don't feel that it interferes with the functionality of the controller.

As far as going to Novasonic Mods, I went to check out the website. If you don't speak or read Spanish, then you will need to translate the page. There are some nice looking examples on there of custom mods, but no pricing list? You have to contact the guy directly by email and discuss what kind of mod you want. Who knows how much this will cost!! and it looks like you would have to disassemble your controller, or at least mail it to the guy so he can do the modification!!?? There is a link to Z Mart Games, where there are supposed to be some mods for sale, problem is, it is all in Spanish!

In concluding my review, this product is great if you are a Resident Evil fan and like what you see.It fits great and is also priced reasonably.I highly recommend this product.

Resident Evil has long been one of the icons of the new era of gaming since it's inception on the original PlayStation. Fans far and wide have been buying, trading and selling various items of merchandise for years. And with every other RE release we see a plethora of items to decorate and customize your system-o-choice.

The faceplates for 360 are an excellent way to make each of your controllers stand out. And though I haven't had any technical problems with this one, it simply is one of the lamest ones I have purchased yet. It fits perfectly into place but the art is just very boring. I would have rather had one covered with zombies are at least have her aiming, shooting or slashing with some form of weapon.

If you are a die hard RE fan you might as well get it, it'll probably make you happy. Game based faceplates are hardest to find their are a few out there but your going to have to buy them from someone most likely. However if you truly want something original I advise looking for custom gear. Search up "Novasonic Mods" to see what I am talking about.

It seems to be an alright game, i mean i received it as a free game from payday 2 but, haha it just seems like an arcade game but i guess i can't complain for a free game

The graphics are not too bad, the controls are quite simplistic. good to kill 15-20 minutes when you're bored. I got it free for some reason, free=good. It also has the top gun soundtrack songs, which made me feel like a real fighter pilot one time after the autopilot had completed a mission, but it looked like I did it.

Best Deals for Top Gun Hard Lock

This is not Top Gun as any reasonable person should/would expect. It's using the name to sell but it is just a poorly made knockoff of what was a great game when it was originally made. This is an arcade shooter with no replay-ability IMO. It took longer to download and install than I will play it for. Bad choice buying it.

Honest reviews on Top Gun Hard Lock

Perfect for my young sons who for some reason love Top Gun. Now they can safely shoot down enemy planes!

This is a boring game. The graphics are of poor quality and the controls of the aircraft respond very slow.
