Best High Speed 1.4 HDMI with Ethernet Gold Plated Cable Supports 3D Deals
I bought two cables, one was supposed to support Audio Return Channel, but both cables were the exact part number when i recieved the package. I paid $2 more for nothing. Other than that the cables work flawlessly. Quality seems to be good. I was criticized by my co-workers when i ordered the cables. They said $15 cables would not work as well as the $250 Monster cables. "Oh NO those will not work, you need monster cables!" they said. Ha! I am laughing my way to the audio\video store to buy a new $400 PARADIGM center channel. I saved over $450 buying these, and the picture quality is awesome! I switched from component cables on my dish reciever and my x-box, and the picture improved drastically. I HIGHLY recommend these cables if you dont want to pay an extra $235 for fancy, colorful packaging with claims of being superior. I did some research, and everyone says the same thing. With a digital signal, as with HDMI, you either get a signal or you dont. If it works, you can't get a better signal. Keep that in mind when making your decision.

Discount Guitar Hero World Tour Guitar 2 Pack Bundle - Wii
I received game and guitars before date they gave me. Everything inside the package was perfect, nothing damaged. This game is sooo much fun!

The product had two guitars; one was unused and the other was. Although I knew it was a used product, the condition of the second guitar was very bad. I don't think anyone tried to clean it up for resale. If there had been a picture of the actual product on line, I would not have bought it.Best Deals for Guitar Hero World Tour Guitar 2 Pack Bundle - Wii

Reviews of HDE Extension Cable for Xbox 360 Kinect
Customer Ratings:
List Price: $24.99

I did a little research before upgrading my Xbox Phat to a newer Slim model.
The Slim 360 bundled with Kinect uses a proprietary extension cable.
THIS IS THE CABLE YOU NEED For Xbox 360 Slim.
Useful if your 360 does not sit near your TV, as the Kinect is required to be near the TV.
DO NOT pay Microsoft 50 for theirs when you can easily buy this 3rd party cable for under 10 WITH shipping.
I received this cable in a couple days, from a 3rd party seller. It does the job perfectly.
If you have a Phat 360 and bought the Kinect separately you need a powered USB extension cable instead.
This is NOT the cable you want for an add-on Kinect to an older model 360, as it only works with SLIM models.

I have no complaints with this cable. For my application I had to daisy-chain two of them together, and there is a little less accuracy as the Kinect tracks your movements, but its only noticeable on some games, and only barely then. Overall these cables are outstanding for the money.Best Deals for HDE Extension Cable for Xbox 360 Kinect
This product works fine and is great for my needs. I have the black slim 360 saw reviews that it doesn't work on the older white 360. I can't tell you if two or more of these cables connected together works because one was long enough for me. I wouldn't say there is any signal loss or latency from the cable.Honest reviews on HDE Extension Cable for Xbox 360 Kinect

Review of Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad - PC
Customer Ratings:
List Price: $39.99
Sale Price: $27.07
Today's Bonus: 32% Off

Red Orchestra: Heroes of Stalingrad is the successor to Red Orchestra: Ostfront. It keeps to the theme of the titanic and most important battle front of WW2. More men fought, died and experienced the brutality of total war on the Eastern Front than in any other theater of the conflict. While Ostfront spanned the whole German-Soviet war, this game focuses just on the immense struggle for Stalingrad.
The Good: The depictions of the battlefields are very well done. In fact if you look at wartime photos of the battlegrounds, you would see the stunning effort Tripwire developers went to, to ensure accuracy. When you are fighting at Fallen Fighter's Square or Pavlov's House, it looks like you are really there. The weapons are pretty well modeled and deadly. The game doesn't give your character health points. Although you can bandage a minor wound, the majority of hits by a rifle caliber bullet will kill you. The lethality of the battlefield may be a turn off for some but for those more interested in authenticity, this will appeal. There are several different modes of play from the basically free for all to the slower paced count down mode where you get one life per objective. Considering the instant death awaiting around every corner, this particular game mode makes one very cautious.
Each map has a certain load out of soldiers/weapons. This is to keep the teams balanced and offers some historical authenticity to the teams. Not everyone will be getting an automatic weapon or smoke grenades. Commanders can call in artillery. Those toting a light machine gun can be resupplied with ammo by their teammates. The majority of troops will however, be your basic rifleman with a bolt action rifle.
Some more good news is this game is produced by Tripwire. This company has a history of supporting their product, and allowing modders to make new maps and the like. They have already released several patches to correct various problems and I have complete faith that they will continue to do so and have already been working on additional free content such as new vehicles.
The Bad: The game like many these days, was released too early. There are many bugs and performance issues that detract. Although I run the game pretty stable and smooth, many people with high end systems are getting sub-standard performance. Tripwire has been working hard to squash the bugs though one of the new features of the game was saving stats and being able to upgrade your basic weapon. This system is currently horribly bugged. It is not saving stats properly, and is awarding Steam achievements and scores that are quite impossible. I don't personally care much about the stats but for some, this is a big turn off. It IS being worked on though at the time of this review. I do have faith that Tripwire will stand by its product and keep working to make the game run like it should have.
Another bad feature for those that enjoy historical authenticity is the addition of some weapons into the mix that were basically prototypes. And not only were these weapons rare and their use in Stalingrad questionable, they are available in numbers far too many. Although the numbers have been reduced, many feel that they are still too prevalent.
Recon planes....the commander can call in a recon plane. Although this plane can be shot down, it provides far too much information and really, shouldn't exist for the level of combat represented.
The Summary: Buy this game if you like WW2. Buy this game if you like FPS games. But have patience for the eventual bug fixing, additional maps provided by the community, and new vehicles and weapons that will be coming. I fully suspect that in time, this game will span all of the Eastern Front once more with the help of the dedicated modding community.
The game looks good first of all. I play with the graphics on the highest settings and it looks like a war movie. I also tried toning them down to get the frame rates higher in multiplayer. The game still looks decent on the medium graphic settings.
I'm most interested in the controls because that is the part of the game that you must deal with to get your character to do what you want. In a game that requires quick reflexes, the control scheme is very important. I custom mapped some of the keys to make it easier for me the game lets you do this in the "controls" section of settings. There is one key used for three important functions (get behind cover, pick up items, and bandage yourself), which I'm not too thrilled about, but I'll probably get used to it after a while. Also the mechanics of getting behind cover can be awkward in the game. The game prompts you whenever you may take cover, you can't use just anything, but most walls let you. Also your character has trouble jumping over certain things they should be able to jump over and trouble climbing over things that shouldn't pose a problem.
You have to use the sights of the gun to aim properly at distance there is no painted on crosshair in the middle of the screen. When you bring up your iron sights, your character moves much slower, so it's best to lean around corners before charging out. If you run around like its Call of Duty you will be shot and you will die, sometimes slowly while you frantically hit the medic bandage/cover/take items button.
The single player AI is not too bright. Your comrades have mastered the art of taking cover on the wrong side of a wall, running around in the open, and getting shot. In general, they do not behave like a human and I'll leave it at that.
The multiplayer is where the main focus of the game is. I haven't played all the maps yet as I just got the game yesterday, but the ones I played were fun. Lots of places to hide out and pick off enemies. The mixture of tanks and men is really cool. Also I'll just mention that the bullet ballistics are there and are very welcome for the realism. For all the realism though, bullet wounds should have been in the game. There is a little blood when you shoot someone, but you should be able to put a literal hole through their body before and after they die.
Overall, its a fun shooter. Takes some patience, but it's satisfying when you break through the enemy lines and drop a few before going out in a blaze of communist or fascist glory. By the way, I have this on Steam so that takes care of the updates for me.
Red Orchestra 2 for me is a breath of fresh air. The way your character moves and you are running to cover. The way it feels when you pull up your iron sites on the enemy, hold your breath, fire, and watch him fall head first into the dirt for a forever sleep. This game just feels so good with the way you move and fire. The new cover system adds more immersion and works well.
Graphics are to my eyes look great, the way the sun creeps through the cracks of a half demolished building, the way shadows over cast the battlefield, the spray of red mist after a successful shot, how the characters move and take cover, everything about it brings it to life and feels like you really are about to die and this world of war. The maps are a lot of fun and I love how they are laid out, very entertaining.
CONS: Now I came from the beta, yeah there are a few bugs and hiccups, but it's still very playable and is minor issues that will be ironed out with soon too come patches. Don't let all the negativity about it steer you away from this amazing title, we are talking about a lower end budget gaming company that put this together and they did a amazing job with it and you will be having a blast and will easily look past them.
All in all, this game is amazing, I love the feel of this great WWII shooter and will for sure be playing this for a long, long time. Do yourself a favor, give yourself some fresh air and pick this title up, you wont regret it.
RO2 is the one game that I have played where I actually feel that war is hell. Playing as a Russian soldier running through an open field under heavy German fire is intense. When I see a few guys running with me die and I manage to get to cover alive, I actually feel lucky and am reminded very much of a quote from one of my favorite movies, The Thin Red Line. "It makes no difference who you are, no matter how much training you got and the tougher guy you might be. When you're at the wrong spot at the wrong time, you gonna get it." This game definitely has a large skill gap which will cause some people to move away from it; however, the large skill gap is what has given this game such a nice niche community that continues to play the game each day for nearly a year. I find this community is definitely mature and won't bother new players as long as they are playing the objective and trying to contribute to their team. If you are looking for a game not about K/D and a lot slower paced with extremely intense moments in between the slow moments then I would definitely recommend it.
The "psudo-realism" setting that most Modern-era FPS have taken is vexing. A gaming experience shouldn't require much suspension of disbelief.
Team Fortress 2 is a great game for its cartoon fantasy setting, allowing us to imerse ourselves in the gameplay world.
Call of Duty on the other hand takes a "realistic graphic/settings" approuch, but keeps gameplay highly casual (i.e. health regen, invincible humans, no recoil, unbelievable events, ect.) and fails utterly!
RO2: Heroes of Stalingrad on the third hand upholds a deep commitment to realistic gameplay to match its unique real-world setting, the bloodest and most interesting infantry conflict of all time, the Battle of Stalingrad.
The game was pushed out early which means lots of bugs and critic reviews that are less prasing than it deserves, but Tripwire has proved itself to be a company commited to ongoing development with loads of free content and performance improvements down the line.

I like WWII shooters and I like games that aim to be more realistic. I played the original Red Orchestra, didn't buy that one, but decided to give this one a try. The trailers made the game look pretty fun, and it is, but it requires more patience and craftiness than the typical run-of-the-mill shooter. The game looks good first of all. I hope I am not the only one in that I miss the feel of an authentic WW 2 shooter, or the multiplayer feeling of the first time I played the original Call of Duty. Where you have to work as a team to overcome impossible odds and still win the battle. Where you are in a building and your buddy just took a bullet through the head and falls to a pile at your feet. You hear the enemy downstairs and you are alone or might have one other battle buddy with you and your heart starts to race because you know what is about to come. Or pushing back the bad guys and when you look left to right you see your team giving each other cover fire and putting the baddies to sleep. Red Orchestra 2 brings all that back to life.Red Orchestra 2 for me is a breath of fresh air. The way your character moves and you are running to cover. Honest reviews on Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad - PC
When this game was first released there were quite a number of problems with it. The game wasn't well optimized and ran pretty bad on my system that was well above the recommended settings. In May a giant patch was released that pretty much fixed everything and now the game really shines. I would rate this game as currently my favorite fps game in the market along with dayz. Initially, I bought this game in September to pass the time while waiting for BF3's release; however, this game feels superior to BF3 to me. I guess I came into BF3 with the idea that it would have the depth of BF2/2142 with battlefield commanders and so forth, but quickly realized how consolized that game was to appeal to the cod crowd. RO2 feels like a true PC game that has such great depth with battlefield commanders and limiting the number of snipers that it is a breath of fresh air. My first online game that I got really into was RTCW and this game reminds me some of the aspects of that game.RO2 is the one game that I have played where I actually feel that war is hell. Cheap Xbox 360 Audio Drum Rocker Core Rock Band 2 Drum Set without
The Ion works great! My friend owns one and I decided to purchase one for myself. In my own opinion, if you are buying the Ion, buy the Ion drum rocker core that does not come with the cymbals. The original Ion cymbals are not worth the extra $100. But the Core drum kit, and order diffrent cymbals, there are tons available online.

He had one major problem with the kick pedal. It is solid and sturdy, but the piece that hits the receiver fell off in only a couple of days. He tried to re-attached it with super glue, but it didn't hold and fell off again the same day. I am sending it back for a replacement. I am really hoping that the next one doesn't have the same defect.
One problem with the kit overall is the kick pedal, for the most part it is solid and sturdy, but the piece that hits the receiver to signify a kick is very flimsy. Mine fell off in under a week (about 30-40 songs). I am hoping it can be easily reattached w/ super glue or will be replaced by the company.
Even with that small hiccup this kit is highly recommended for any hardcore Rock Band fan.

This set is really nice. It doesn't drop any notes as long as you hit the pads with reasonable force. Reasonable force being not a light tap. Like you've heard from other reviews, the pedal is crap. I was like you. I thought I'd be easy on it and not break it like everyone else, but I did. So really, for a set that'll last, you're looking at the cost of this plus $100 or so for the rock pedal which I'm on my way to buying. I still recommend this set because if you don't consider the pedal, it's a fantastic piece of equipment.Best Deals for Xbox 360 Audio Drum Rocker Core Rock Band 2 Drum Set without
This kit responds very well, provides good bounce, and is pretty quiet when struck. It's not perfect, though: it can't be raised nearly as tall as the Rock Band stock kit, the pedal just feels a little off (it still works fine, though), and the pads don't respond to very light touches. With my play style, this has been a bit of a problem, but I've adjusted. But overall, they work very well, and if you're a Rock Band addict like me, most likely worth it.Honest reviews on Xbox 360 Audio Drum Rocker Core Rock Band 2 Drum Set without

The Ion Drum Rocker Core is an all around excellent product, the instructions can be a little plain and confusing, but I had not too much trouble putting this together in under an hour. One problem with the kit overall is the kick pedal, for the most part it is solid and sturdy, but the piece that hits the receiver to signify a kick is very flimsy. Cheap Karaoke Revolution Glee: Volume 2 Bundle - Nintendo Wii
Customer Ratings:
List Price: $39.99
Sale Price: $26.00

Just got the Glee Karaoke 2 bundle, and it's SO MUCH FUN. I have volume 1, and it's great, but vol. 2 has much better songs (even though #2 only has 20 songs and #1 has almost 30).
More features have been added to the game, including a "versus" setting, where you can compete against each other, as well as new audio features and voice applications. While it's essentially the same format as Glee vol. 1, it's more refined.
HOWEVER. As you may have read from other reviews: two songs are missing--"Ice Ice Baby" and "Pink Houses." For God knows what reason, you have to unlock these songs. Luckily, a little Google magic helped me find the codes:
Unlock code for "Pink Houses": DD6C62
Unlock code for "Ice Ice Baby": A64112
Hope that helps!
and I would of liked it to be like "rockband" where there is "NO Vocal" mode so you can hear YOURSELF SING no try and hear yourself with one of the glee kids.
its so dissapointing. maybe Konami will listen and make the next one with a Auto Tune and "Turn OFF The Vocals Mode" for Us GLEEKS!
i dont understand why they didnt imlement that in the first game, who wants to try and hear themself sing to Merecedes ,Finn, Kurt and Rachel? It would be nice if you could TURN IT OFF!!
grrr
There's also the MAJOR PROBLEM that two of the songs listed on the box (Pink Houses & Ice Ice Baby) AREN'T EVEN IN THE GAME! There are only 18 songs to sing.
Song list:
Bad Romance
Beautiful
Beth
Boy Is Mine
Dream a Little Dream of Me
Dream On
Gives You Hell
Good Vibrations
Hello, I Love You
House Is Not A Home
Ice Ice Baby**
Jessie's Girl
Lady Is A Tramp
Like A Virgin
Over The Rainbow
Pink Houses**
Shout It Out Loud
To Sir, With Love
Total Eclipse of the Heart
U Can't Touch This
Maybe I got a defective copy or something...I'll have to watch the reviews as they come in.

SO disappointed by this. Terrible selection of songs. There are 20 songs listed on the box 12 of them are male tunes. Now don't get me wrong, some are good songs. For example, I love "Lady Is A Tramp", but it's too low in Puck's octave, and it's too high to take it up to the next octave. Call me crazy...I doubt most of the people buying this game are tenors and basses. Where's the Madonna songs, or the Journey songs from the finale? Why are there rap songs included? Does anybody really want to do rap-karaoke? What's the point? There's also the MAJOR PROBLEM that two of the songs listed on the box (Pink Houses & Ice Ice Baby) AREN'T EVEN IN THE GAME! There are only 18 songs to sing.
Song list:
Bad Romance
Beautiful
Beth
Boy Is Mine
Dream a Little Dream of Me
Dream On
Gives You Hell
Good Vibrations
Hello, I Love You
House Is Not A Home
Ice Ice Baby**
Jessie's Girl
Lady Is A Tramp
Like A Virgin
Over The Rainbow
Pink Houses**
Shout It Out Loud
To Sir, With Love
Total Eclipse of the Heart
U Can't Touch This
Maybe I got a defective copy or something...I'll have to watch the reviews as they come in.

Other reviews mention that the nun-chuck doesnt fit well in the housing. it is crucial to run that cord through the channel in the housing compartment for the intended fit.
i've found that more complicated Fist Person Shooters like Splinter Cell, which isnt a really 'gun heavy' game, may be a little more difficult as reaching the top of the wii remote can be a stretch, and switching between the 'C' and 'Z' (on the mag) to the 'a', '+', '-', 1 or 2 takes some practice/coordination. Resident Evil, which has very little control, would be great. the slide on this scale goes pretty far up before getting too complicated. i played Splinter Cell, Quantum Solace and just for fun, Wii Fit. Fit obviously didnt go so well and Splinter Cell was definitely fun and playable, but because the objectives often call for secretive silence, the 'Perfect Shot' may be better. ( i have both and the dexterity of two independent hands is better) Quantum Solace...AWESOME! i can only guess that Resident Evil games would be even better.
i found that this thing is pretty close to the size of a real gun like this. the barrel is obviously not as long as a real 'sniper rifle' but any longer and it would impede the view of the sensor bar. i actually leave it off for a more MP5 look and feel. those with small hands might have trouble wrapping em around the nun-chuck housing and retain the dexterity with the joystick, but my girlfriend has smaller hands for an adult and she really liked itA HUGE FIRST.
hope this helps. sorry so long. there were some specific points i wish some one had spelled out before i bought it. i've nothing bad to say. however, get some rubber bands. the top door will hold better if you wrap a rubber band at the front and back. not ness, and Quick ties may be more difficult if this is not a dedicated set of remotes.
i'd buy another in a heart beat.

Demonstration of CTA Digital's Sniper Rifle Gun for Wii under optimum conditions (which applies to any gun-type accessory for Wii).
Objective: Approximate 1:1 accuracy via simple line-of-sight aiming.
Requirements:
Minimum 10 feet between the Wii Remote and the Wii's sensor bar (maximum about 15 feet). TV, sensor bar, and player should be centered precisely. Don't step away from this centered firing position.
Remove any accessory/extensions from the rifle that may obstruct the Wii Remote's view of the sensor bar. There shouldn't be any unusual problems with existing Wii Pointer tracking in the first place.
`Ghost Squad` and `The House of the Dead 2&3 Return` are the ONLY two shooting games on Wii that calibrate properly, easily, and reliably. You will not get good results in other games due to their limited design, options, and/or their technical shortcomings.
Be calm and aim carefully. Wii knows how much you twitch, and there's always a slight delay between your movement and the final shot/cursor location.
Quick review?
4/5 stars because the handle is poorly designed, difficult to grasp, and makes the Nunchuk harder to reach (I thought the Sure Shot Rifle had a good handle, but a poor trigger mechanism), and the thinner diameter in the middle of the scope reduces direct visibility. The trigger works much better than the previous Sure Shot Rifle and Buzz Shotgun designs, and the C/Z buttons have better placement. In the end, the product is a strong match with Ghost Squad's weapon selection, but clearly has room for improvement. On the software side, the applications for any "good" Wii gun accessory are very limited -for now, "arcade gameplay" is their rightful place. Frankly, gun accessories shouldn't be used with FPS's (and similar action games) until the games are properly designed to take advantage of the accessories. As many users have pointed out, they've tried it and wasted their time/money.
My workaround for the handle is: I don't use it -my thumb rests on the side while my middle finger supports the ring under the trigger. Holding the foregrip, which holds the rifle against my shoulder, actually does most of the hard work. For practical purposes, the rear "lens" of the scope should've included some kind of printed sight posts to aid sighting in conjunction with the front crosshair (I just used a marker to paint a dot in the center of my lens).
For more information, search "Wii Sniper Rifle Gameplay Montage" on YouTube/Google.
Far worse is the size of the handle of the gun. It way too thick. I do not have huge hands, but not small ones either and I can not see being able to reasonably have my thumb on the nunchuck's analog stick and a finger on the trigger. It is a very poor design. Also, in games like Call of Duty, where you have to access the A,-,+, and the D pads to have the Wii remote so far forward in the gun makes it impossible to access the buttons with any resonable speed and still have your fingers on the C, and Z buttons from the nunchuck.
I would definately go with the zapper. There is a nice one that has a front and back handle. It is similar in design to this gun but is smaller and easier to handle. It does not have all the attachments that this does but why do you need a fake scope that you do not use or a bi-pod that is also just for show.
Overall this things is horrible.
Only one small issue I found is the legs, when I don't use them when shooting while I am standing but you can take it off. But overall I must say a great add on.

Nice set-up for the money. Feels well balanced when playing " call of duty-modern warfare" and is the closest simulation of the 'real thing'. The biggest problem is the grip thoughthe hand and finger starts hurting after about 10mins into the game and I'm forced to take a break... Like previously stated: a major design flaw.Would not recommend until the company fixes this!

Monster Cable GGLS 100 SV/R-6 GameLink Standard Composite/S-Video Review
These cables may be a little pricey but I feel like they are worth the cost because they definitely improve the graphics and sound. They look and feel very durable and well-made. I don't know how big the difference is between the regular A/V cables and these with the added S-video but going from the plain gray antenna cable to the Monster cables was a big upgrade. I was playing Resident Evil 4 (which has great graphics to begin with) with these cables and a friend of mine thought I was playing XBOX based on the video quality. I have not yet tried, but these cables are supposed to be compatible with Nintendo 64 as well. It would be interesting to see how much of an improvement it makes on such an old system. I would give them 5 stars if it weren't for the price but they are still a steal compared to the component cables for the newest game consoles.

Review of Super Monkey Ball Deluxe - Xbox
Super Monkeyball DX for the Xbox, is a puzzle game where you collect bannanas by rolling your monkey inside a ball. I know it sounds strange, but once you play it you'll understand. The monkeys live happily in their monkey village with with friends and family, until one day a ship hovering over, steals all the bananas in your village, leaving your tribe without food! So your mission in each stage is to retrieve as many bananas. While going through insane looking puzzle mazes, filled with hazards such as: conveyer belts, gorges, spikes, winds and more! You guide your ball (monkeyball) with out falling over the maze and reaching the finish line in time. The concept is very simple and the game very addictive! You can also play any of the twelve (12) mini-games included, such as; baseball, golf, bowling, shooting, boat racing, tennis and more! Each mini game can be played by yourself or up to three other friends and it is fully customizable. The mini games are a lot of fun and add lots of replay value. It's like you are getting several games for the price of one! The game is challenging for adults and good for kids because there is no blood or real violence in the game. Get it today!
Pros:
+unique game concept
+easy to learn
+good difficulty
+the mini-games are fun!
+excellent graphics
+excellent special effects
+fun up-beat music
+over 150 stages
+up to four players versus
+has a sense of humor
+cute characters
+good for kids
Cons:
-hard to control
-playfield tilts
-playing against the clock
When our son returned we did it all over again (just without the Margaritas).
This is a game that ANYONE can find something to play and it all makes you laugh. I like to watch the little monkey golfer hitting his golf ball that he happens to be standing inside.

I first played this game on the Game Cube and was surprised to find out how addicting it is. Who would have thought that piloting a monkey in a plastic ball through suspended mazes would be fun? And yet, it proved to be one of those rare games that both adults and kids enjoy. Plus, the bonus party games are fun to play, either with others or by yourself. The Xbox version is great, too, because it includes all the content of Monkey Ball 1 and 2, plus extra boards.Best Deals for Super Monkey Ball Deluxe - Xbox
My son's Dad brought this back from Army training and at first I laughed at him. Then we had Margarita night (our son was on a road trip with other family) and played Monkey Golf, Monkey Mini Golf, Monkey Racing, and Monkey bowling till the next thing we knew the sun was coming up. We had four grown, responsible adults laughing and having a great (if loud) time. When our son returned we did it all over again (just without the Margaritas).

People who rate this low were probably having the same problem that I was (until I fixed it)--
Windows recognized the adapter/controller combo, but pushing buttons and moving the d pad didn't seem to do anything (or it would like like I was pressing *everything* at once).
-Fixed by *slightly* bending the pins inward (outward might work too) to make better contact with the sockets on the controller. I *think* the pins are slightly smaller than on the original NES. Whatever the problem is, if the connection isn't made, the device will appear to be broken.
I use it with Nestopia for my mac. You need to download and install the emulator enhancer (don't forget to restart) Then it should ask you to configure the joystick when it reboots. If not just go to configure joystick in the menu and you're good to go.
I first thought I was going to have a problem with this adapter. I use Windows 7 and the VirtuaNES emulator. The adapter was recognized automatically, no drivers need to be updated. So Windows 7 recognized the adapter as the "NES Controller USB" in Control Panel. Right click the controller and choose "Game Controller Settings." "NES Controller USB" should already be highlighted and then choose "Properties." Go to the Settings tab and calibrate the controller.
What happened to me was this: the regular NES controller did not function properly. I initially tried to calibrate it and nothing would work. However, I moved the pins a little as another reviewer suggested to get a more "snug" connection, and that seemed to allow most of the buttons on the original NES controller to function. The D pad still did not work completely, only certain positions, even though it works completely fine on my NES.
However, I tried a different controller, an NES Max controller, and everything calibrated fine and playing games worked great. So the adapter does work, but I guess it depends on the controller. I really think the "snug connection" is the main issue as others have mentioned, that my NES Max controller just had a better connection to the adapter than my regular NES controller. And the bottom line is this: if the controller won't calibrate properly, then it will not work properly with the controller, so you have to check the calibration in control panel first.
4 stars because it works, but it took a little extra time to get it to work. I would have given it 5 stars if I didn't need to troubleshoot all of this.
Luckily, I had a second controller.

I attempted to buy the "Retrolink" adapter shown in the image above, but was shipped a "Retro-bit" branded adapter. I was disappointed not to get what was shown in the image on the Amazon.com web page where I added it to my shopping cart. I'm even more disappointed by the adapter's performance. When I use it to plug in my NES controller, I find crosstalk between my buttons, and I'm unable to properly calibrate it. Up, Left, and Right on the D-pad work, but Down crosstalks with Left, button 1 crosstalks with button 2, button 2 crosstalks with button 3, button 3 crosstalks with button 4, and button 4 crosstalks with Up. The result is that my games get multiple button responses when I press only one button. This is terribly disappointing. It may be possible to crack open the adapter and do some soldering or other surgery on its guts, but I lack the tools and skills for that, and I'd rather have my money back. Two big thumbs down for the shoddy workmanship of the product that was shipped to me instead of what I ordered.Best Deals for Retrolink Nintendo NES USB Adapter for PC and Mac

Discount Warhammer: Battle March - Xbox 360
I love this game for the PC. Great graphics, engaging and evolving story, and a good old crash your armies togehther RTS. This game makes for a very difficult transition to the XBox 360 the controls are very complex and without any real quick keys makes for an insanly difficult learning curve espically in the heat of battle trying to remember what controls do what. My advice if you want this game: get it for the PC.
TL;DR
Good: Gameplay is fun, Characters are good, Customizable Armies.
Bad: Controls take a little while to get used to, Graphics.
The game play...so lousy. It was boring, and so repetitive. It is a war/battle sim...and not a good one. Granted, like I said before, he hasn't played very far into the game. But that was because he got so bored, and disliked the graphics (especially the HORRIBLE cutscenes) that he had no desire to play it any further. I've played battle sims before, and I couldn't even watch this one for very long.
The voices...INCREDIBLY annoying. They repeat the same thing 5 times in a row...and the same voice cuts itself off. I had to turn the sound down while it was being played. And sometimes when they talk...it looks like the old Japanese voice overs where their mouths are moving and it doesn't go with the voices at all. It reminded me of old school video games..and not good ones.
I would definitely recommend renting this game BEFORE you buy it. It may just save you $50-$60. Or if you really want to buy it to try it, definitely get it used. Its not worth the full price at all. You can get it used for around $20 on ebay if nothing else (I checked b/c he disliked it so much he doesn't want to keep it).

I read alot of reviews for this game and heard it had over complicated controls which made the game unplayable, I enjoy the warhammer universe though I am new to it, so I bought the game to see for myself. The first thing I did was play through the tutorial which goes over the controls very well and though I was a bit confused at first, it didnt take away from the game and I was slaughtering armies easily using the controls within an hour. This game is very fun, some parts may be harder the others but through a little bit of strategy you can easily overcome even the hardest task. One very glaring problem with the game is the graphics, I wasnt bothered during most parts but playing the Empire campaign made it very clear where this game is lacking, the cutscenes are terrible for that campaign and I felt like skipping everytime one would start, Though I didnt notice it as much in the chaos or orc storylines. I havent played online skirmish, but the skirmish vs the computer is pretty good, you can customize your army, and play as a bunch of different armies. Overall I enjoyed this game very much.TL;DR

I bought this game for my nephew (who is 14) and he played it over at my house. First off...the graphics in the first scene to start the game were great. They were like the pictures that Amazon has shown. But then the game started and the graphics changed. On my parents standard tube tv they were horrible. On my plasma, they were better, but still not very good at all. And then the cutscenes during the games were hideous!...even on my plasma. I have no idea why they wouldn't use the same type of graphics for all the cutscenes. Now he hasn't played a whole lot of it, b/c he doesn't even like the game play...but maybe it includes some more good graphics later. The game play...so lousy. It was boring, and so repetitive. You can get it used for around $20 on ebay if nothing else (I checked b/c he disliked it so much he doesn't want to keep it).

You have been warned. Those people claiming this game is fun or the best warhammer game are lacking some chromosomes and/or have never played a good strategy game. First off, the controls are hideous... NOT just a 'bit awkward'. Second of all, in order to see what is going on you have to be zoomed out so far that the game has no detail (not that zooming in helps much there either). I have played the same board like 15 times because even when you beat a board it doesn't save unless you complete a series of boards which the game claims as a level (I am assuming, as I have played the same 3 boards over and over and finally threw the game into the corner as it seriously isn't worth the time or effort). The game is incredibly repetitive. The overly repeated vocal tracks alone can drive you nuts. All in all... this game will be $9 in under 6 months.
