Just the facts:

56 different plants, including 8 special/powerful plants you must buy from the shop using the money you collect throughout levels.

26 different zombies, including 1 special zombie that can only be found in during a second play-through.

22 mini games, including Wall-nut Bowling, Beghouled, and Portal Combat.

10 puzzles, all variations of a Vasebreaker game.

Survival Mode: 11 levels of intense gameplay. Survive as long as you can!

Your very own Zen Garden, where you take care of plants you find gift-wrapped during the campaign. Main garden holds up to 32 plants. Mushroom and Aquariam gardens can be bought from the in-game store.

Vs Mode: Play with friends near or far.

An Achievement feature and ability to create your own Zombie Avatar.

Published by Popcap, who also made Peggle and Zuma.

First I'll just say that I am fairly obsessed with this game, whatever the platform. With it's originality, inventive game play, and the wide array of mini-games and puzzles makes this is one of the best games I've ever played, especially on the DS. With the stylus, control is even easier. And the fact I can play this on the go is a huge selling point.

Plants Vs. Zombies is basically a "tower defense" type game, in the sense that you must defend your house from approaching zombies using your large arsenal of funny little plants.

Thanks to it's simple game mechanics and easy learning curve, this a great game for all ages. The main game itself isn't very challenging (may prove a nice challenge for younger players). However, once you beat the game a first time, the difficulty is ramped up a bit with your second play-through.

There are 5 modes with 10 levels each:

Day Time

Night Time

Pool

Fog

Roof

Yes, it's also a bit short, but the replay value is immense; you'll find yourself wanting to play through again and again. Like collecting things? Sometimes throughout the level a little present will appear on screen if you click it, the plant inside will be sent to your own personal garden!

Story wise it's almost non-existent, but it's there. It's nice of them to throw it in there though, as unnecessary as it is.

The game looks almost identical to the versions on both the Xbox 360 and PC, with the sprites remade for the DS and looking quite fantastic on such a small screen.

From day one people have said, "Hey, this game would be perfect on the DS. Too bad it will probably never happen."

Well, it's happened, and it's incredibly well done.

There's just so much to do in this game, and, selling for only $20, this is a must buy. It's a game people will be talking about for years to come, so don't miss out on the fun!

I LOVE Plants vs Zombies. I've played it through multiple times on the PC. The game is super fun and extremely easy to get into. My 7 year old daughter and husband play it as well.

With that said, I was curious to see how it plays on the DS. The answer is very well. You do a lot of dragging and dropping with the stylus but the game (music and sound effects as well) are essentially the same. As you complete different levels in the adventure mode, you will unlock all of the mini-games. I haven't gone through the entire thing yet but at level 3 you unlock the mini-games and they appear to be the same as the computer version.

The three main differences are

1. The Zombinator a way cool avatar creator to make your own zombie!

2. After Level 2 is over, you can play head to head against a friend.

3. You can earn different awards like blowing up 10 zombies with 1 cherry bomb. (Easter Egg on this screen!!)

I've found 1 easter egg so far :) I'm hoping to find more!

Am I happy I purchased it? Yep. Now I can play Zombies at lunch :)

Honest reviews on Plants Vs. Zombies - Nintendo DS

I'm writing my review as a comparison between the DS version of the game and the PC Game of the Year Edition. I've finished Adventure Mode and have completed all of the mini games, puzzles, and survival modes, but have not been able to try multiplayer.

I love playing on a touch screen. It's very quick and easy to pick up sun and coins, and to place plants. However, the smaller screen makes the game more difficultthe plants are crowded closer together so that it's harder to see which plant is where, or to tell whether a given space even has a plant on it at all. It's very difficult in this version to judge how damaged a Pumpkin is. Even the original game has some issues with plants being obscured by other plants or by menus and buttons, as well as menus and buttons being obscured by plants, and in this version it's even worse. For example, you can't tell what the plants in the top row of the Zen Garden are "asking for" in their speech bubbles, because the top menu completely blocks them.

The sound and graphics have of course been scaled down for the DS. The sound effects can be a little harsh and annoying at times, but the music sounds pretty good. The plants and zombies are even cuter when simplified, so no complaints there, other than the plants being crowded together as I mentioned earlier. Oh, and the abnormally large Dancing ZombieI guess the designers didn't want to lose all the detail in his 'fro.

A few minigames are missing, and a couple of new ones have been added. The new games are fun but nothing special.

The top screen of the DS is mainly just used for the level progress bar, but has some cute zombie and raven animations if you can spare enough attention to watch.

Some of the plants and zombies perform a little differently in this version. A missile from the Cob Cannon seems to take longer to hit. It could be my imagination, but it felt like some of the seeds had a longer delay between plantings. In the PC version, Catapult Zombies advance only after they destroy the plants in the back rows or run out of ammo, but in the DS game they constantly move forward.

The game performs fine on most of the Adventure levels and minigames, but slows down considerably once there are large numbers of zombies and plants onscreen. This makes Endless Survival nearly impossible to play on the DS. It also doesn't seem to save your progress on Endless Survival if you leave the game. Note: I have the DS LiteI don't know whether the other versions of the DS have more computing power.

If you're new to Plants vs Zombies, I highly recommend picking up the PC version instead. If you're already a fan, the DS game may be a little disappointing, but it's still worth owning a portable version that you can play in waiting rooms or when traveling. Save Endless Survival for your PC, though.

Plants vs Zombies is an amazing and very creative tower defense game. Zombies is trying to get across your lawn and your only hope lines in your garden, armed with units such as Pea Shoots, cabbage pults and exploding cherries you are valiantly defending your home and your brain from the hordes of undead. The game has cute graphics, addictive gameplay and which a main adventure having 50 levels in addition to a generous amount of mini games and other content this is a sizable game. This game is a great choice for the Nintendo DS, however if you have a Ipad, PC or one of the other consoles this game is published for then you are likely to enjoy that more.

The graphics of this game is scaled down and do not look nearly as even and vibrant as in the Ipad or PC version and allot of details are missing. Plants vs Zombies have a great soundtrack, but the DS version mangle several of the melodies. The game interface is also a bit clumsy, the game is played with the stylus and instead of just clicking to selecting like in other versions of this game, here you have to drag the stylus around. That being said, except for a few minor cosmetic problems with this port of the game this is an excellent title.

The packaging of this game is very nice, it has a slipcase over over the case itself so it looks more classy, the slipcase cover looks like a zombie have taken a bite out of it, perfectly fitting the game, fancy packaging makes for a great gift item and I think anyone would be happy to receive this game. On that note, this game would be perfect to give to a child who want to play a zombie game but who is not quite old enough for a horror shooter. Plants vs Zombies is suitable for anyone, and it is just spooky enough for a kid to find it exiting and cool, not that an adult would not find it exiting and cool also.

The manual which comes with the game is very funny to read, it is styled as a homeowners manual, however they have tried to make it funny more than informative so it is better at making you laugh than at making you understand how to play. I wondered about a few aspects of the game and the manual really did not help me. Luckily Plants vs Zombies are very easy to get into and it really is not problem just picking up and playing this game.

Plants vs Zombies is not a very difficult game, some might find the game to easy, I find it just perfect. This would be a good game for a beginner to tower defense games, however if you are a expert player and find the game to easy then know that some of the mini games really packs on the challenge. The mini games are not your typical mini game, it is the same concept and game style as the rest of the game, but with the game play mixed up again to create a new challenge. I would more call them extra levels than mini games. In addition to story mode and mini games there are multilayer, a "zen garden" a survival mode and the zombatar where you can create your own zombie.

I have really nothing but good to say about this game, I do not think it is the best port of it, but hey Plants vs Zombies is fun no matter what you play it on. I recommend this game to anyone, it has charm, it has spooky zombies and it have allot of militaristic plants, pick this one up and you will not be able to put the game down until you have beat it.

I will focus on the encyclopedia edition first and then comment on the game.

My encyclopedia edition came in the mail safely and undamaged with the normal retail version of the game, the hefty encyclopedia, and the graphic novel. If your edition was damaged from shipping I believe that is worth noting in a review but NOT worth taking off stars for.

Now, regarding the encyclopedia, it is gorgeous. It is a high quality hardcover edition with an exquisite dust cover. The binding seems to be solid so I do not anticipate the book wearing out from excessive use. Speaking of excessive use, the encyclopedia covers a lot, including summaries of events and characters. Spoilers are present so finish up AC 3 before gazing. There is also much high quality art. I would say approximately 40% of the book is art and 60% is wording. It is easy to look up a video of someone flipping through the pages online so consider doing that before investing. For me, as someone who ordered this edition to better understand my favorite storyline of any video game I have played, this was a real treat.

Next, the graphic novel: _Assassin's Creed Subject 4_. It is a combination of the AC comics series _The Fall_ and _The Chain_ which tell the story of Daniel Cross, an important character in the AC world. I was surprised at the quality of the book. It is soft cover, but the binding and the covering is very durable. Ubisoft did not spare any expense in producing these. I will say I am disappointed that Ubisoft did not include the original covers for each comic, but that is a small issue. Regarding the story, at first I thought that it was merely a way to make money by promoting a side story, but it is interesting in itself and it also covers some important information not available in the game series. In particular, knowledge of it will give you insider-knowledge in regards to a particular part in AC 3. ;)

Regarding the game itself, I do not see what all the hate about AC over the past few weeks has come from. I just finished it as I write this review and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Having played the entire series I can say that AC 3 is one of the best. The story, both past and present, was satisfying, and, of course, the ending is a cliffhanger (go figure). But does that mean another AC game?? Hopefully not for at least 2 years. Many have complained about bugs in the game: I experienced very few and none were game breaking or overly distracting. The graphics are delightful, a serious step up from Revelations. The music is fantastic and the voice work is exceptional. The gameplay has changed from previous AC games. For example, it took some time to get used to the "not holding A to run" and to press "B" to block. I was still not entirely comfortable by the end. There is plenty to do throughout the many locations, although I avoided the hunting, the minigames, and the investing, because they simply did not appeal to me. Surprisingly, I entered a shop only once in the entire game, purchased NO additional weapons than the ones I started with, and I had absolutely no trouble as a result of not "upgrading" my character.

The missions of AC 3 are mostly thrilling. Not perfect: there are too many chase missions, the full-sync bonus objectives often clog the screen and pressure you during a mission, and there are many surprisingly frustrating bits. You can participate in several historical events (ex: the midnight ride of Paul Revere) which is exciting for any history buff.

Here are my complaints about the game. First, I did not feel any obligation or desire to do any side missions. There are a lot of side missions. The controls were somewhat difficult to get used to. The game starts a bit slow (but it is worth it). Connor is a total jerk at times. The ending is one of the worst cliffhangers in the series. There are occasional bugs. Finally, and most significantly for me, who am very interested in the story, the events that happen in AC 3 feel a bit disjointed. I occasionally had trouble figuring out why I was doing this or why I was killing this person or why this was significant. Also, there are some jumps in the story that lead to a, how shall I say it. . . less than seamless story.

In the end, AC 3 may have been slightly rushed, but it is an exciting addition to the series and, as you will find out, is by no means The End. Be wary of people who give this game low reviews: look for their reasoning (hint, they are often whining about bugs or cliffhanger endings). The encyclopedia edition is for hardcore fans only. AC 3 is not exactly the game I was hoping for but I am still very pleased with it. Of course, you should also check out the most popular AC 3 review for the normal edition of the game. The person who gave it 3 stars has many good points to make. I agree with some points and disagree on others. Consider renting or purchasing cheap on Black Friday if you are wary about this game.

And remember, the unexamined life is not worth living.

EDIT: Update

I have had time to reflect on my experience in AC 3 and find myself agreeing more and more with people who were disappointed with it. The story AND gameplay was slightly lacking and the game could really have done with several extra months of development. I have settled on a score of approximately 8/10. That is not to say that this 5 star review is inaccurate. The encyclopedia has turned out to be very informative and pleasing to read. The graphic novel was also excellent, though I do not have a desire to read through it a second time. However, the price of AC 3 is decreasing, and you can purchase the encyclopedia for $40 on ubiworkshop (usually with added shipping of up to or approximately $10). Let me emphasize you renting this game before purchasing it. Even the most ardent AC fans (such as myself) have been -at least slightlydispleased with the overall product.

This encyclopedia edition is one best edition yet. I like the fact that has all the information in the AC Universe. A recommended buy for everyone who wants to know more about the AC and to the Veterans of the saga.

I think Encyclopedia Edition is the best edition I ever had in my life time. It came with two books comic book and encyclopedia. When you read about comic book then play game. The story line is easier to understand. It about Daniel Cross (Subject 4) about his life and his ancestor. The encyclopedia has really awesome illustrations and stories lines about different characters.

Honest reviews on Assassin's Creed III Encyclopedia Edition -Xbox 360

Playability is good. Graphics are great.

I have to suspend playing it as I got to go back and finish the previous titles for the storyline.

1 star off only because Boston looks and feels soo dreary, like if the artists painted mud on the buildings to make them more so. The Frontier seems so much chipper. Big difference from the streets of Renaissance Italy. I can only hope New York feels livelier.

This encyclopedia edition is just GREAT! I remember when I got the firs Assassin's Creed, got it because the gameplay that I saw on youtube was just something entirely new. But when I got the game, the gameplay was the last thing on my mind. How the story line of this game gets you attatched to it is amazing! This is HISTORY with a little twist (a great one) that makes any gamer of any age wanna get more of it. The second one, Italy, Leonardo, Rome, Vatican city... WOW! Ubisoft got how we (the gamers) got attatched to Ezio and his travesy and the gave us Brotherhood and Revelations also killing tittles that will always be classic. Now They bring the story closer in time, but here! in America, making the game more interesting of knowing how assassins from different centuries connect and act for the same purpose.

Now, The Encyclopedia.

I got the first one and it was remarkable. Giving every detail of every key caracter and every move by Altair and Ezio. Now this one, the updated version including Assassins Creed III content is just amazing. Got it as a gift from my girlfriend (yes, I'm lucky) and is just something every AC fan should have, so much info from our 3 favorite Assassins and the ones between them makes it just the best AC experience.

A friend of mine gave me this arcade stick a few years back and it's an awesome arcade controller. Now that Street Fighter vs Tekken came out I really wanted to use it on my PS3 so I bought this converter. It arrived quickly, in two business days for me which is pretty awesome as the esimate was 3-5 days. While there is no deception going on as you get what's pictured, you do need a serial cable. The manual did say it was supposed to be included. Some might already have this with their controller but I didn't. Fortunately I had one lying around from an old computer so it all worked out. I'm playing with it in SFxT and it works really, really well! One star minus for me as I would have been upset if I had to order a serial cable and not been able to play it right away.

I purchased the X-Arcade Dual Stick about three weeks ago, and knew immediately I'd want to use it with all the latest fighting and arcade games available on my PS3. Knowing that these adapters were available, I immediately purchased the Xbox/PS3 adapter.

Amazingly, two days later the package arrived. I say that because I expected it to take at least a week, and it was only two days!

The device is pretty straightforward, a box that connects your serial port on the X-Arcade to either the Xbox or PS3 for two players. Yes, this adapter connects two players, and does not require a second adapter. The adapter itself is an ingenious device. It not only connects the Xbox or PS3, but it has LED lights inside the transparent housing that show you what player slot you have currently set on your PS3. On the Xbox, you just plug into whichever controller slot you want. Very easy. The length of the P1/P2 cables coming out of the adapter are maybe 8" to 10". The cable coming from the adapter to the X-Arcade is approximately 7 to 8 feet. If you keep your console concealed or behind a glass door, you'll need to make a little room in the front when you are using this adapter.

Pros:

-Very simple to use and understand.

-You can't mess up the installation.

-Everything is well documented.

-It's built like a tank, and doesn't come off as cheap.

-LED lights show you a clear indicator of player position while on PS3.

-Mortal Kombat has never felt so good!

Cons:

-It doesn't make toast.

-Doesn't cure cancer.

-Doesn't come with rockets for interplanetary exploration. (Sold separately)

-It despises cats.

Final Verdict: If you have an X-arcade product and a PS3/Xbox, too many cats, and love games, then this product is for you.

Worked great for a week, then it would not assign the controllers for a day or two then it fixed its self.

I've had it for a month and except for those two or so days it's worked perfect.

It works better than the Xbox 360 adapter. I gave up on trying to get that thing to work.

In the end, I fixed my 360's red ring problem with 2 things the opening tool in this kit and the cleaner/thermal paste. I didn't bother with a different clamp or pads for the RAM, and it's been working fine. I guess what would be useful is is a cheaper kit with just those essentials but I can't complain too much. One thing the included slip of paper with a web address for a manual didn't work and I had to find it via Google.

Well, I just received this part kit yesterday, went to their website (xbrdepot.com) listed on the neat little orange card they enclose with the kit and get this in return (Looking for something? We're sorry. The Web address you entered is not a functioning page on our site). I suppose I could probably find another website with instructions, but I'm disappointed in this product. Out of the dozens of other kits out there, I went with this one. So if you don't mind working blind when you get the parts then by all means get this kit from this seller. But if your like me, and would rather not take any chances repairing your xbox360 RROD, please use another seller.

Being a fan of the older Silent Hills and Resident Evils I was skeptical of this game. I enjoy shoot em up games, buy miss the old style of run to live. That being said, this game is definitely like the old games. You have to play smart and cant just charge into battle. It keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole time.

The game is split up into 6 "episodes". Each chapter plays out like a self contained story that is a part of the whole story. I dont want to say to much, but for this price you cant go wrong.

This game is fantastic. If you love a good mystery or thriller, this game will have you on the edge of your seat. You'll jump, you'll panic, you'll have an excellent time playing through this epic story of a writer desperately trying to save his wife, and the world, from the darkness. If you're a fan of Stephen King, if you're a fan of Twin Peaks, The X-Files, Silent Hill, or even Resident Evil, you will love this game. It combines an incredible story, hectic action, jump-out-of-your-seat scare tactics and a little bit of humor to create one of my favorite, and many other peoples' favorite gameplay experiences of the last decade.

To start I have owned every Call of Duty and have been quite a loyal player. BUT

This is without a shadow of a doubt the worst put together game I have every seen published by Activision.

I have played this game on both the 360 and the Xbox One. Its like Infinity Ward went about making this game for every console under the sun and didn't pay attention to what made their multiplayer tick. Which was a simplistic yet customizable multiplayer.

People buy COD for the multiplayer, and for me this one was the largest let down of any game in the series thus far... they would have been better off just making this a single generation game instead of making it for FOUR consoles and PC... that's just too much to ask for from any studio...

Ghosts multiplayer is just... broken... that is the only way to put it... the guard dog kill streaks will LITERALLY jump over buildings and bite you in the throat, C4 IEDs are timed so short if you set one off their is no chance of survival. Map design for this COD just doesn't seem to jive with me either, their are points in pretty much every game where it seems that everyone has just lit up the camp fires and busted out the smores... the maps are too large for the current low player cap. If the count was doubled these maps would be great fast paced shoot em ups like COD used to be.

Been playing since COD 2 so I consider myself a seasoned player. The game is enjoyable just as all the previous have been to me. The game mechanics are the same with a few new things here and there but essentially it's the same COD that you either love.. Or hate.

The "Next Gen" graphics are not good, the game looks like it belongs on the previous generation. The environment and buildings look really plain and outdated but I guess the future games will look better. The game however plays flawlessly without a hiccup. Steady frame rates and no choppiness or lag.

I bought it because my friends play it and that's really what it boils down to for me, who's playing what, because my enjoyment comes from gaming with friends. Nothing revolutionary but I would recommend the game, just don't expect nice scenery.

Best Deals for Call of Duty: Ghosts - Xbox One

I was skeptical about buying COD Ghosts after everything that i've heard the last few weeks. I was thinking this game is going to look horrible and honestly suck. I have loved every Call Of Duty and Ghosts lives upto the name. I loved every level and something that a few people were saying that the dog will be with you in every level is false he's only in a few levels to be exact. The game runs at 60 frames per second and looks gorgeous. It is stealthier then the other Call Of Duty games in my opinion and have some amazing set pieces where when something blows up you usually are saying wow i'm filming a movie. The sound is perfect, controls perfect, will take 2 seconds to learn, graphics can be mind blowing and this game isn't even built for next gen but a port. I say if your a shooter fan or Call Of Duty fan pickup this because your missing out on so much fun. It is what you've come to expect from the Call Of Duty series which if like me is a fun/interesting single player and frantic multiplayer. If I could say one complaint I would love to see tanks/jeeps/jets added to multiplayer. Besides that in my opinion best Call Of Duty yet.

Honest reviews on Call of Duty: Ghosts - Xbox One

It's Call of Duty, what were you expecting. The story is decent enough, and the multiplayer is the standard COD run and gun arcade style FPS. It should be an absolute ZERO surprise to anyone. The graphics are mediocre but that's because this isn't a next-gen game, it came out on PS3 and X360 first. I enjoyed it, but I knew what it was!

Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Call of Duty: Ghosts - Xbox One

Calm Down all my COD fans things will get better but I completely understand all the hate this game is getting. The maps first off are very large most of them with stonehaven being the worst its a campers paradise just play smart and don't run out in the open. If your into running and gunning like me then youll probably like the maps Warhawk, Tremor and Prison Break even though that's a medium size map. Just have to be patient and wait until all the bugs are worked out then it should help clean up the spawn issues but the size of some maps your just gonna have to learn to adapt youll get it. I really don't care how people play you can run or hide hey its up to you but bottom line I liked the game and will be playing it through the holidays.

Other reviews mention that the nun-chuck doesnt fit well in the housing. it is crucial to run that cord through the channel in the housing compartment for the intended fit.

i've found that more complicated Fist Person Shooters like Splinter Cell, which isnt a really 'gun heavy' game, may be a little more difficult as reaching the top of the wii remote can be a stretch, and switching between the 'C' and 'Z' (on the mag) to the 'a', '+', '-', 1 or 2 takes some practice/coordination. Resident Evil, which has very little control, would be great. the slide on this scale goes pretty far up before getting too complicated. i played Splinter Cell, Quantum Solace and just for fun, Wii Fit. Fit obviously didnt go so well and Splinter Cell was definitely fun and playable, but because the objectives often call for secretive silence, the 'Perfect Shot' may be better. ( i have both and the dexterity of two independent hands is better) Quantum Solace...AWESOME! i can only guess that Resident Evil games would be even better.

i found that this thing is pretty close to the size of a real gun like this. the barrel is obviously not as long as a real 'sniper rifle' but any longer and it would impede the view of the sensor bar. i actually leave it off for a more MP5 look and feel. those with small hands might have trouble wrapping em around the nun-chuck housing and retain the dexterity with the joystick, but my girlfriend has smaller hands for an adult and she really liked itA HUGE FIRST.

hope this helps. sorry so long. there were some specific points i wish some one had spelled out before i bought it. i've nothing bad to say. however, get some rubber bands. the top door will hold better if you wrap a rubber band at the front and back. not ness, and Quick ties may be more difficult if this is not a dedicated set of remotes.

i'd buy another in a heart beat.

Nice set-up for the money. Feels well balanced when playing " call of duty-modern warfare" and is the closest simulation of the 'real thing'. The biggest problem is the grip thoughthe hand and finger starts hurting after about 10mins into the game and I'm forced to take a break... Like previously stated: a major design flaw.

Would not recommend until the company fixes this!

Best Deals for Wii Sniper Rifle Gun

Demonstration of CTA Digital's Sniper Rifle Gun for Wii under optimum conditions (which applies to any gun-type accessory for Wii).

Objective: Approximate 1:1 accuracy via simple line-of-sight aiming.

Requirements:

Minimum 10 feet between the Wii Remote and the Wii's sensor bar (maximum about 15 feet). TV, sensor bar, and player should be centered precisely. Don't step away from this centered firing position.

Remove any accessory/extensions from the rifle that may obstruct the Wii Remote's view of the sensor bar. There shouldn't be any unusual problems with existing Wii Pointer tracking in the first place.

`Ghost Squad` and `The House of the Dead 2&3 Return` are the ONLY two shooting games on Wii that calibrate properly, easily, and reliably. You will not get good results in other games due to their limited design, options, and/or their technical shortcomings.

Be calm and aim carefully. Wii knows how much you twitch, and there's always a slight delay between your movement and the final shot/cursor location.

Quick review?

4/5 stars because the handle is poorly designed, difficult to grasp, and makes the Nunchuk harder to reach (I thought the Sure Shot Rifle had a good handle, but a poor trigger mechanism), and the thinner diameter in the middle of the scope reduces direct visibility. The trigger works much better than the previous Sure Shot Rifle and Buzz Shotgun designs, and the C/Z buttons have better placement. In the end, the product is a strong match with Ghost Squad's weapon selection, but clearly has room for improvement. On the software side, the applications for any "good" Wii gun accessory are very limited -for now, "arcade gameplay" is their rightful place. Frankly, gun accessories shouldn't be used with FPS's (and similar action games) until the games are properly designed to take advantage of the accessories. As many users have pointed out, they've tried it and wasted their time/money.

My workaround for the handle is: I don't use it -my thumb rests on the side while my middle finger supports the ring under the trigger. Holding the foregrip, which holds the rifle against my shoulder, actually does most of the hard work. For practical purposes, the rear "lens" of the scope should've included some kind of printed sight posts to aid sighting in conjunction with the front crosshair (I just used a marker to paint a dot in the center of my lens).

Honest reviews on Wii Sniper Rifle Gun

First of all this will NOT work with Resident Evil 4 as the trigger in the RE 4 is the A button and not the B button. The button layout can not be changed in Resident Evil 4.

Far worse is the size of the handle of the gun. It way too thick. I do not have huge hands, but not small ones either and I can not see being able to reasonably have my thumb on the nunchuck's analog stick and a finger on the trigger. It is a very poor design. Also, in games like Call of Duty, where you have to access the A,-,+, and the D pads to have the Wii remote so far forward in the gun makes it impossible to access the buttons with any resonable speed and still have your fingers on the C, and Z buttons from the nunchuck.

I would definately go with the zapper. There is a nice one that has a front and back handle. It is similar in design to this gun but is smaller and easier to handle. It does not have all the attachments that this does but why do you need a fake scope that you do not use or a bi-pod that is also just for show.

Overall this things is horrible.

Love the sniper gun, makes the game much more fun and gives it a feel of reality.

Only one small issue I found is the legs, when I don't use them when shooting while I am standing but you can take it off. But overall I must say a great add on.

Ryse: Son of Rome Day One Edition - Xbox One
Customer Ratings: 4.5 stars
Buy Now
So first off, I sat down yesterday morning with my Xbox One ready to play an actual game, rather than just playing and setting up the menu's and watching movies. First game I popped in was Ryse, and may I say, although short, was very fulfilling.

The game takes you on a journey as Marius, a son of Rome who's out on a quest for vengence and glory. The combat and action are awesome, take away some minor timing queues that throw you off when trying to pull off an execution. Executions, they are ways to finish off your enemies, and by pressing the up, down, left, or right on the D-pad to choose what type of powerup you would like to have once you complete a sucessful execution (health, damage, XP, or focus). Executions are done by pressing the right trigger when you see a white or red skull over your enemy, then press the right color button (blue or yellow) when the enemy

flashes that specific color (bascially yellow is your shield and blue is the sword).

Graphics look amazing, I was very impressed by the foilage and different areas in which they take us, from the city settings, to forests, to night scapes, and so on. One thing to note, during some fights you may find yourself having issues moving the camera, as if it was stuck on a bush or building and you might get attacked off screen or don't know what queues it tells you for an execution. You fight all sorts of men, no monsters, or animals, or anything like that, just soldiers, men, people who think they are gods and so on.

Story, I really enjoyed, was a little confused at the beginning but then it smoothed itself out and brought the story around full circle, very fun. Some fights were tough, no joke, but a blast! Also, expect a twist or two, i thought I was following it, and figured something would happen, but not what did happen.

Lastly, the game does have multiplayer, however i havent even tried that yet, i apologize. I will do that later this week when my brother gets it so we can play Co-Op in the arena.

All in all, fun great game, now here is the downfall, but for me was a plus. I sat down like i said yesterday morning to play, and finished the game (on normal) last night around 8 pm. So it lasted MAYBE 10 hours, i did take 30 mins to eat lunch and dinner with my gf and a 30 min break in the middle. So maybe closer to 8 hours and yes i died on a couple fights.

Just wanted to fill you all in, sorry for the bounce around review, but i really enjoyed this game, even though it was short, i loved it. And why i liked it being short, well i have other games i want to play and when i play games i am OCD and have to finish one before i start another hah. Hope this gives you guys some insight.

Enjoy!

RYSE: Son of Rome is a GORGEOUS GAME!!! I had to say that before I even begin with this review. It seems that the "Professional"(If you want to call them that) review crews have been far too tough on a great game. I don't like when reviews contain irrelevant information like "Microsoft WAS going to make RYSE a Kinect only game" or "RYSE isn't better then this game or that game" the review should be solely based on RYSE and at this point based on it's competition of NEXT GEN games. With that said RYSE has set the BAR graphically, it was like the first time I played the original HALO on 360; what a sight to see. Now beyond the graphics YES it's similar to GOD of WAR with the button mashing and timed button pushing for executions.

They also switch things up though, you play through a horde of enemies hand to hand then you go to a arrow post to shoot an onslaught of enemies sniper style. The voice command features are pretty sweet!!! An indication on your screen will tell you the catapults are ready then you vocally YELL OUT "FIRE CATAPULTS" and the flaming boulders come flying in CRUSHING your enemies, SWEET!!!!!!! LOL Well I don't want to tell the whole game, but trust me you won't get "BORED"........"BORED" Who said that? LOL Oh and to let all the "FANBOYS" know I have BOTH XBOX ONE and PS4 so know I am not on EITHER side, just enjoying the show. Now back to the review, it's not as easy as they claim to "button smash", you have to set enemies up for dual executions and when your near the edge of a bridge your execution would change to throwing your enemy over the ledge, there is a learning curve. The gameplay is immersive you feel like your there. The sound is nice and fitting for the game, the voices sound like what we've come to look for out of soldiers of this era from 300 and other movies/tv shows.

Ryse definitely feels NEXT GEN by look and interactivity, the voice commands really add a lot to the game if you ask me. If you bought an XBOX ONE and refuse to use the kinect or voice commands then WHY even buy a next gen console? Stick to PS3 or XBOX 360 if you just want to hold a controller and push buttons. Next gen is not just beautiful images it's the KINECT 2 and VOICE RECOGNITION! Now I gave the game 5 STARS and I hope in the future this game becomes a 4 STAR game and what I mean by that is this game is the first of the next gen titles and I know there is a higher peak to what these systems can do and this is only the beginning. Also I gave my EXTRA STAR to offset these crazy 1 STAR reviews from people who don't own an XBOX ONE let alone the game RYSE! Their reviews are obvious feed back from information they have read somewhere. Finally I just want to say if you open this game up and play it and your not WOW'D then please take me to where you've been that such sights and next gen interactivity don't WOW you! LOL

Whew! After some negative reviews I was a little worried about my Ryse pre-order but I'm here to say that this game is truly a great game! Everyone already knows that the graphics for Ryse are the absolute best out there right now. The story is compelling and the gameplay is fun. I have been playing all day and haven't felt like putting down the controller yet (except to take a quick break for dinner and to write this quick review). The game is deep and offers a lot of replay value and that is before even mentioning the online gladiator mode! Do yourself a favor and pick up Ryse. You won't regret it.

If you are looking for a game that will wow your friends and family with true next gen visuals then this is your showpiece. The graphics are simply AMAZING! Each time I play this game I am in awe. It runs perfectly smooth too.

Some of the professional reviews for this game are pretty negative and I almost didn't buy it because of them. That would have been a big mistake on my part because the game is a blast to play. Yeah, you pretty much are just running around with a sword killing barbarians but is that really so different then running around with a gun in Call of Duty? I don't think so. In fact, as I play through this game it reminds me very much a Call of Duty type of game. It is heavily scripted, combat oriented game. There are even scenes where you man stationary weapons against vast hordes of enemies just like in Call of Duty.

What really shines in this game are the execution finishing moves you use in combat. There are a ton of them so you are always seeing something different. I do wish they could have come up with a better way to indicate what buttons to press during an execution besides the colored glow. Maybe make it so when your enemy is staggered that you punch in a combo like in Mortal Kombat to perform an execution. Not sure if that would work though as the battles are pretty hectic.

I am very pleased with my purchase and recommend you check this game out!

I was impressed with my son's 360 talismoon fan, I bought one for mine as well. It's definitley much more quiet than the stock fan. It also seems to blow out hotter air which probably means more of it goes out now. I'd recommend this one to everyone who has a 360. Although you have to break your warranty though cause you're going to open your machine to install this.

I purchased this fan for just that reason, preventing the RROD. Now that i'm on to

my fifth xbox 360 I figured i might as well do something Microsoft isn't. First off

i removed the x-clamps holding down the heatsinks, applied some new thermal paste

and actually bolted the heatsinks down, then i put this fan in. For me, this is a

lot louder now but not enough to make me unhappy with the purchase. I was a little

worried about liking the blue led's but i think they are very cool and not over

barring. The plastic seems a little brittle but since i don't plan on moving them ever I'm not really worried. These fans pull some serious air out! The rear of the box is hot because that's where all the air is coming out, everywhere else on the xbox is literally cold to the touch, it pulls out that much air! Overall very happy with the purchase and would suggest it to anyone who knows their way around this kind of stuff and feels comfortable.

I ordered three of these for a penny each (and about $5 each in shipping, which is not refundable). I first noticed that the d-pad is smaller and looks like it fits in an old Xbox-S controller for the original Xbox. Also, that d-pad doesn't fit the 360 controllers, which was fine for me because all I was interested in was the analog sticks. Installed them, put the controller back together, and the sticks stuck when I moved them up, down, or to the sides. I tried whittling the sides and edges of the sticks down for a better fit to no avail. These look and feel cheap and did not work at all for me. One of the worst purchases I've made.

Discount Xbox 360 Street Fighter IV FightPad - Akuma

Xbox 360 Street Fighter IV FightPad - Akuma
Customer Ratings: 4.5 stars

If Madcatz's FightPads have one great thing going for them, it's that the controllers are roughly 1/5th the price of most decent arcade sticks on the market. Those who are interested in trying Street Fighter for the first time and know better than to try and rough it out with the standard Xbox controller should seriously consider the pad as an affordable alternative to emptying out wallets and collecting change from the couch for a TE or a HRAP. Most everyone will use this controller for Street Fighter IV or Super Street Fighter IV, games that require more practice and refinement than other major fighting games such as Soul Calibur or Mortal Kombat. With that in mind, if you aren't sure that you are committed to the game enough so to learn the combos and tactics, Madcatz's FightPad is a good way to dip in and see if you like Street Fighter without the possibility of leaving disappointed and broke. Put simply: the game is not for everyone.

With that out of the way, the controller itself is similar to the terrific Sega Saturn pad, which is very good for fighting games. I disagree that the controller feels cheap, although it is extremely light even when compared to a standard Xbox controller. And just like other reviews have established: the buttons are great, the directional pad is okay. More than half of the characters in the game operate with QCBs and QCFs, which I find very comfortable to pull off with the FightPad. However, charge characters such as Chun-Li or Vega are much easier to play using a fightstick.

I have had this controller for over a year now, and would likely buy another simply for its price and its portability. I usually play SSFIV on the 360, but if I'm on the go it is nice to boot up vanilla on the ol' laptop and bust some heads with yesteryear's installment. In these cases, a fightstick is bulky and a chore to pack up, while the FightPad is not can be toted just about anywhere. So, in conclusion, the Madcatz FightPad is certainly an economical and logical path to giving Street Fighter a shot, as its shortcomings are greatly overwhelmed by its low-price point. Cheers.

OK, this is a great controller! I got SF4 the 2nd day of release and played with the 360 controller for many months. I was determined to get the Akuma but it was too pricy early on. Eventually I got it and all I can say is that I can pull off the combos much easier and the controller just has a superior layout. Some combos are still very hard for me like Vega's, but as for the Shoryuken type it's great. Plus it's great on many others but the combos where it's: charge , 3 kick or 3 punch, take some getting used to, Vega's is a similar charge ultra/super. Great controller and it's much more comfortable playing with! SF4 itself is a great game too, 9.5 my book!

Best Deals for Xbox 360 Street Fighter IV FightPad - Akuma

Want to step up your fighting game ability without shelling out $100 for a decent arcade stick? If so, this is the controller for you.

Let's face it, the regular X-Box controller just wasn't designed to accommodate the needs for fighting games. Pulling off combos and getting special moves to come out when you want them to can be a real chore with the normal X-Box control stick and buttons. While they may take a small bit of getting used to at first, the comfortable pad and Sega Genesis style buttons of this Fightpad offer a much better experience.

I saw a few comments complaining about how this is a wired controller as opposed to wireless, but I don't see why anyone should care about that. Wired means you don't have to use batteries or a charger, and the USB input allows the controller to be used for PC games as well.

If you're a competitive player, then an arcade stick is still probably the best way to go, but the FightPad is the next best option no matter what type of fighting gamer you are.

Honest reviews on Xbox 360 Street Fighter IV FightPad - Akuma

I have been searching for a controller with 6-buttons on the face for a very long time. Ever since the Sega Genesis and Saturn died, the gaming world has universally adopted the 4-button-on-front interface. That is great for most types of games, but NOT for Street Fighter.

After buying countless replacements to play Street Fighter games on the PC, I found this one to be the best. Not only does it have a large, durable d-pad, but it also has a nice feel. It's got 6 large buttons on the front, which makes it easier to pull off throws, focus cancels (SF4), or overheads (SF3). It also feels light. But don't let that fool you into thinking this controller is cheap. Far from it. It has stood against constant mashing, lots of 720 motions, and occasional tosses after frustrating online matches :D

And although Street Fighter purists will lambaste me for using turbo, I found the feature to be useful when set to the top buttons (3 punches and 3 kicks) to make pulling off ultras much easier in a tough online match. Though I don't think it's programmable to do link combos.

I am not a joy stick guy, so the transition from the 360 controller to this was pretty smooth.

While a wireless pad would have been great, the USB cable still its perks: no batteries wasted and PC play.

Overall: this stylish pad gets a 5/5 for it's practicality, durability and price.

Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks is hands down the best "Mythologies" title in the MK Universe. After having two rather poor spin offs (Sub-Zero and MK: Special Forces), it seemed as if MK could only do well in it's core series... until now.

MK: Shaolin Monks is a re-telling of Mortal Kombat 2, through the eyes of Kung Lao and Liu Kang. The game starts at the end of MK 1 and runs all the way up to the climatic finish where you battle the great Shao Kahn. Along the way you will utilize the game's somewhat unique combat engine, which is basically a hybrid of a platformer like Devil May Cry and the MK "Kombat" engine. What is so great about it though is that it is not stiff like the "Kombat" engine, and allows pretty much free movement. You still have "kombos" and special moves, but they are all easy to execute and chain together, giving even a novice player an easy chance to get in the game and start kicking butt. You also have the ability to pull off fatalities on just about every enemy (even bosses, when you beat them!)

The game also features an "RPG" like experience point system, which you can manipulate heavily depending on how good you get at killing enemies and keeping your combos going without getting knocked down. As long as you keep hitting enemies and killing them, your combo will increase. With each kill or 10 hits, you receive a multiplier point. After your combo ends, the points you earned depending on a number of factors, including your combo and kills, are multiplied. You then receive experience points based on that multiplication. The experience points then can be used to purchase new moves and combos in the status screen. The only downside to this though is the fact that the game has only so many combos and moves to purchase. You will easily have purchased every move available well before the game is over (for me, it was half way before the game was complete!)

The graphics for MK: Shaolin Monks are kind of bad in places (especially in the cinematic cut scenes everyone pretty much has the same face!) The in-game graphics are good though for the most part, although they seem gritty and un-finished in places. The dynamic lighting and the blood makes up for it though... if you like your violence red.

Sound-wise, MK: Shaolin Monks is like any other MK game. The soundtrack is not at all that impressive, but it fits the atmosphere of the game, especially in the areas that are straight out of MK 2. The only qualms with the game's sound are probably with it's voice acting... but we'll get into that further in a bit.

The story telling of MK:Shaolin Monks is another hamper on the game. While the game features some great MK action and appearances from just about everyone's favorite characters, the way they appear (or die) is somewhat non-sensual at times. Also, with the way certain things happen in the game, you will be left with your head scratching, wondering if you recall things being that way in MKII's story. To top it off, the game has some really BAD voice acting (best example is Shao Kahn... instead of using the MK announcer voice, they used some other random voice.)

Despite the shoddy voice acting and rather butchered storyline, MK:Shaolin Monks is still the best MK spin-off game to date. It features a combat engine that is arguably better than the regular MK fighting engine, and it gives the gamer more things to do (tons of stage kills and environmental manipulations.) You also have a couple secret characters to unlock, as well as plenty of extra "kontent" to find along the way (including a hidden port of the arcade version of Mortal Kombat II!) MK: Shoalin Monks is highly recommended for any MK fan or just about any action/platformer fan.

Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks Circa 2005

GOOD:

Lots of combat in a Devil May Cry style, which is challenging but not too easy or too difficult (for most video gamers)

Two players Co-op, now you and a friend can beat the game together (actually it's more fun that way)

Cool combos and fighting moves help make sure the game doesn't get stale (beat the snot out of enemies and even use weapons as well the environment to defeat enemies)

This game even has a versus mode (which plays sort of like power stone)

Plenty of unlockables

BAD:

Graphics are sub-par, but okay (similar to Blood Owen 2)

Some parts of the game can be annoying (like some puzzles or cheap enemies)

When you unlock other characters in the game (like Sub-Zero and Scorpion) and play as them, you still get the same story (involving Lu Kang and Kung Lao)

Some unlockable content is really difficult to get

Might be too Bloody or violent for some people

IF IT FITS YOUR TASTE:

This game (like all Mortal Kombat games) is pretty bloody and gory, so I would suggest it's not for small kids or people sentient to that sort of stuff

Simple combos strikes and small puzzles like Devil May Cry or God of War make up most of the combat, but unlike God of War or Devil May Cry these combos can be teamed up with a second player (on Co-Op mode) to take the damage to another level

You have to unlock most of the game through hidden secrets hidden in each stage

A must play for die-hard Mortal Kombat fans

GAME ITS MOST ASSOCATED TOO:

God of War

Devil May Cry

Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero

Final Fight

ADDITIONAL NOTES:

There are some nice unlockables in this game including a full version of the classic Mortal Kombat 2

This Story fills the gap from Mortal Kmobat to Mortal Kmobat II

This is the third Action/Adventure game set in the Mortal Kmobat universe, the first was Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero, the second was Mortal Kombat: Special Forces (staring Jax)

I gave this game to a friend and so I had to get myself another because it was so much fun.

Honest reviews on Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks - PlayStation 2

Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks, is the new MK game on store shelves. I myself usually purchase MK merch when it drops, so I thought i'd give this game a try without even bothering to rent it first. And in a small way, i'm relieved that it didn't disappoint too much.

MKSM is by far probably the goriest Mortal Kombat in the series, to date. So if you're looking for a game full of blood and guts, this game is right up your alleyway. It also strays away from the norm, of the MK genre. It isn't a fighting game. It's an action/adventure game, with somewhat of a comparison to God of War, and Devil May Cry. Though gorier than DMC, it isn't quite as fun as DMC. As per God of War...it beats both of these games, hands down.

Anyways...yeah. This is a game full of violence, bloodshed, fatalities (ten per character), multalities (fatalities that kill multiple enemies on screen), and ofcourse, brutalities. Brutalities are basically the same as multalities, but the screen doesn't fade during brutalities, and you're actually able to control your character while doing them.

The storyline of MKSM is pretty much that of MK2, but...the events that lead up to it, and a few events DURING it. Such as the final boss fight (wont give anything away).

Like all games though, MKSM comes with a few (minor, and at times major) flaws.

-The battleing is pretty...repetative and at times, aggrovating and boring.

-The game itself is extremely short, clocking in at about 10 hours of gameplay (maximum), if you're experienced enough.

-Some of the puzzles in the game will annoy the living crap out of you.

-Fatality and multality sequences all happen in the same position (infront of the enemy), and never with the actual stage scenery in the background (the screen just turns black and that move is done...just like in the past 2 PS2 MK games).

-The game secrets (such as unlocking the MK2 fighting game) are at times, really hard to get, and MOST require ko-op gameplay to obtain.

-The characters at times can look really choppy (not alot, but you can really notice it, after comparing the Tarkatan warriors to other character models such as Kitana. Kitana looks better, whereas the Tarkatan warriors look like crap.)

-And to top it all off...the voice acting in the cutscenes is horrible. Cheesy as all hell. Even some of the dialogue itself is pretty stupid and pointless.

But despite all these flaws, I found Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks, to be a pretty enjoyable game. It sure isn't the BEST beat em up action/adventure game on the market (I leave that title to God of War), but it's still a pretty enjoyable game nonetheless, if you're a fan of the MK series.

In the end, i'd only suggest this as a buy, to dedicated MK fans that have to have everything MKwise. Otherwise, only rent this to see if it suits your tastes.

By the way, this game is TEN TIMES better than the 2 absolutely disgraceful action/adventure MK titles that came before it, "Mytholigies: Sub-Zero", and "Special Forces." Those sucked, and weren't enjoyable in the least. Whereas "Shaolin Monks" proves enjoyable.

Give it a try...judge it for yourself.

I give MKSM 4/5 stars, due to the flaws the game contained that didn't seem to really effect the fun factor of the game at all. If the fun factor would've been effected, i'd have only given this game 3/5 stars.

I can tell you through experience there is no better value out there right now in gaming consoles. I have the 120 gb version of this product and I paid $300.00 just for that and the 6 axis controller. The internet hook up was fast and easy. You're online almost instantaneously which means I often check emails using the ps3 instead of my desktop Vista PC which takes 5 minutes or more to get on line. I'd recommend a Standard USB Keyboard ($10.99 w/super saver shipping) for typing in text while surfing or signing up for the Playstation Network because it's way faster than using the 6 axis controller. The photo section of this product got no press in the promo but it is world class. You just plug your digital camera into one of the usb ports, download some software from the internet for free by prompt and you have 4 different versions of slide shows featuring the music you upload to the ps3 or the music that comes with the software, your choice. I haven't tried uploading videos. The graphics are just stunning on my 720p Plasma. There is no better gaming console for graphics than the PS3. With these two games, 'Ratchet & Clank' & 'SingStar Dance Party Pack', I think you have a super compelling family value. The Wii I don't know, I returned mine because of internet connectivity issues,(no pppoe support for ethernet connections). I can tell you through experience you'll have no such issues with the ps3 and your graphics will be much better because of the HDMI hookup and the NVIDIA graphics engine. The 6 axis controller is a quality controller that should afford years of trouble free service and right now you can buy another one for $40.00 if you want a backup or need to play two people at a time. If you're into the motion control fad you can purchase a move controller/eye camera package with 'Sports Champions' for under $100.00 but in all honesty I don't think you're missing much. I have one and use it occasionally but the 6 axis controller is really where it's at for me. You should get an HDMI cable with this. It's essential for the highest resolution picture. Amazon sells a good 6 footer for $6.99 and no additional shipping. Additional nice things to have though not essential would be the extra controller as mentioned previously, a Nyko 2 controller charge station($17.99),(charges two 6 axis controllers without a usb cable and is the best charger available), and the USB keyboard also previously mentioned. This is a fantastic deal on a quality package. Get it for your kids but know that as an adult you made a decision based on quality that will pay dividends for years to come. According to my watt meter this product only draws about 70 watts when playing disc based 720p video games. I was surprised by that being that the product is rated at 230 watts. I tested it on a 32 inch and a 42 inch television and the watt draw was about the same.

This is my first Amazon review. I am making this review as somewhat of a "guide" for people who are thinking of purchasing this bundle and need help deciding. I hope whoever reads this finds it informative and helpful!

What you are looking at here is the Playstation 3 160GB Amazon family bundle. It comes with a PS3 160GB, Ratchet & Clank: A Crack In Time, SingStar + Dance Party Pack, and $25 in credit on Amazon's video game store.

As the title implies this is definitely a good bundle for anyone that wants a more family oriented experience. But we all know that PS3 is considered a hardcore gaming console because of it's raw power, so the bundle is also good for getting started and getting some nice sweet little extras. The two games that come with it along with the $25 in credit total are worth around $91 so you will easily be able to get at least one or two new PS3 games from Amazon and selling or trading in the included games if you wish.

Ratchet & Clank: A Crack In Time is the final third chapter in the Ratchet & Clank Future series, the first two being Tools Of Destruction and Quest For Booty. Before you pass on Ratchet & Clank I highly recommend you give it a try even if you are not a platform gamer. I am not a platform gamer but I have highly enjoyed the Ratchet & Clank series. It may be a family friendly game but it is hilarious (they are constantly whipping joke after joke) and a blast to play with tons of hidden stuff to find. I am living proof that probably just about anyone who bought this bundle could get into the game.

SingStar + Dance Party Pack may be another story. Initially I planned to sell it which you could do and get good money for it on Ebay, but I decided to keep it in case my girlfriend wanted to play it or we had friends over, whatever. Looking on the back of the case once I received the bundle I realized that there were actually some pretty good songs on it and it has the ability to download new songs from PSN. It does include two microphones as well and a USB adapter to connect both mics. The mics are well made and good quality. They fell heavy and as well-made as a professional mic in your hand, honestly. Still I know a lot of hardcore gamers looking at this bundle or a lot of other people are not going to be interested in this game. Like I said it can be sold for a good price if you leave it unopened.

Then there's the PS3 system itself. Unlike bundles we're used to seeing, it's not a bundle that actually comes with Ratchet & Clank and SingStar bundled in the PS3 box. Rather Amazon takes a big box and puts a normal PS3 160GB in it and packages a copy of Ratchet & Clank and SingStar along in the big box with the PS3 box. A fair word of warning (if it matters to anyone) that this PS3 does not come with a Blu-ray disc with previews and videos of movies and PS3 games. Not too big a deal but I rather liked those discs which came with all my previous PS3 units I bought new. The normal stuff comes with the PS3 160GB you'd normally expect in a PS3 package...The unit itself, AV cables (HDMI cable still sold separately), Dual Shock 3 SIX AXIS controller, power adapter, and paperwork.

So all in all if you are looking at starting out on a PS3, switching to one, or upgrading from a fat model, this bundle is perfect. There are other bundles that were available for Black Friday with better games and a movie that are probably harder to find now, but that doesn't mean you can't sell or trade the included games and then use the $25 in credit on Amazon's video game store toward new games...Although the Ratchet & Clank game is a generally very good game that most people who bought this bundle would want to keep I would think.

On another note, surprisingly enough, the $25 in credit can also be used toward accessories. Anything in th video game store that is shipped and sold by Amazon. I used mine on a brand-new copy of Borderlands and a brand-new PSP car charger. The total order ended up being $0.66 Hard to beat. :)

That's it for the PS3 160GB Amazon family bundle. I hope whoever is looking into this bundle now will have a much better idea of what it's all about and whether they wish to get it or not.

For Microsoft fans I recommend the Xbox 360 2010 Holiday bundle. $299.99 for a slim 250GB Xbox 360 and two completely awesome games, Forza Motorsport 3 and Alan Wake. http://www.amazon.com/Xbox-360-250GB-Holiday-Bundle/dp/B0047Y9BGE/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1291865481&sr=8-3

For Nintendo fans I recommend the limited edition red Nintendo Wii bundle. At $199.99 this Wii looks awesome in hot red and comes bundled with Wii Sports and New Super Mario Bros Wii. Both are entertaining and fun right out of the box! http://www.amazon.com/Wii-Hardware-Bundle-Red-Nintendo/dp/B0045FEEAS/ref=sr_1_2?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1291865704&sr=1-2

Best Deals for PlayStation 3 160GB System with Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in

This bundle is really great deal especially if you plan to get a PS3.

At first I wouldn't pay $300 for the PS3 because to be it is very expansive until I saw this bundle. I bought one mainly because of this bundle!

It comes with a LOT of stuff: SingStar the game, 2 microphones, Ratchet and Clank,a $25 gift certificate and of course the PS3.

The SingStar game is really fun and it comes with 2 microphones and its great for parties and those who love to sing. The songs are also really nice.

The Ratchet and Clank game is also a really great adventure game.

The $25 online gift is really nice because you can get a game of your choice.

Of all the deals this is the best deal for the holidays on a PS3 as you are getting a $40(SingStar) + $30(RatClank) + $25 Bonus = $95 worth of stuff and a PS3 for the price of $300 (the price most people paid for the console itself).

In Addition if you pay with a master card you get 2 day shipping for Free!

The PS3:

Pros:

1. Awesome graphics for games and can watch Blu ray and DVD movies.

2. Free Internet.

3. Lots of games to choose from.

4. You can download demos and try them out before you buy the game.

5. The controller is wireless.

6. Can play with many people and have a party.

Cons:

1. It is a little big compared to other consoles of the past but still a good size (PS2, Gamecube, etc).

2. Internet can be confusing to set up for some people depending on what internet modem you have.

I'm happy with this PS3 bundle and I recommend it to all those who are looking to buy a PS3 for themselves or to give as a gift. It is an Excellent Deal!!

Honest reviews on PlayStation 3 160GB System with Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in

I was impressed by the quickness and accuracy of my order. Good job Amazon.com!!! The Playstation 3 is a great system. Graphics are great and so is the sound. Not really into the Dance and sing from Singstar, but the Ratchet and Crank games was ok. Being able to go online and check my emails, youtube and Facebook comes in handy on the PS 3 system. Worth the money to invest.

I must say during the holiday season it was quite difficult choosing a PS3 bundle. Reason being there were so many options available, but I must say the AMAZON family bundle is really the best choice. Sing Star is really a fantastic family activity game that both adults and kids can enjoy alike also Ratchet and Clank is a great action adventure game to get started with this consol. I would advise anyone looking for a PS3 to purchase this bundle, its still available at AMAZON right now, but for how long is the question. In addition to the great games and USB microphones which are included this bundle offers savings of $70.00 which is a total of 23% of the cost of the system. Again I would like to say I'm totally satisfied thus far with this package and would recommend it to anyone.
