These weer just what i was looking for. They are made of high quality aluminum and feel absolutely amazing, The controls are so more responsive. The only thing i wish was that the controller thumb rest had a rounded rubberized tip like the PS3 controllers. all the tips the manufacturer stocks are sad comparisons to the feel of a stock thumb stick tip.

I recently put together 3 custom controllers using chrome shells, short button throws, and modsticks. I used these grabber orange sticks on green chrome shells. Totally hot.

Being a huge SD Chargers fan, I am always looking for deals on my favorite team online. I came across this on Amazaon and ordered ASAP. I worried that it may get in the way of my gaming, inteference with buttons, but it doesn't. It fits perfectly and stays in place. I would definitely recommend you get one of your favorite team. Good luck LT, SD will always be your home!

Tim Tebow sucks, that's all.

I used to love playing Dig Dug! (Who didn't?) This is an exact emulation of the original, and one of the few that have aged well.

The game is exactly the same: same graphics, sounds, levels, monsters, etc. But there is one huge difference: you can continue from where you died or any level you have completed. This takes the monotony of having to play through the first few levels again and again every time you try to get to the end. Consequently, this also enabled me to get as far as I ever had the very last vegetable (as of this review... I'm coming for you!)

This is a great game that has aged well. Well worth the small price tag.

Dig Dug's a classic, but with today's video games, it's hard for a game like this to be anything more than a brief novelty. I was a huge Dig Dug fan (and pretty good at it) back in the day, but it's definitely time to retire this one.

I went ahead and took a chance on these headphones as I was looking for a viable replacement to the Tritton AX720's I had previously owned and given away. As with most gaming headsets, I was going to expect something bulky, yet sturdy since that's kind of the status quo with gaming headsets in general. I was pleasantly surprised at the size of both the headset and the SCU (sound control unit). I was surprised in the sense that the headphones were light, compact, yet appear to be sturdy (no I will not "drop test" them). The SCU likewise is compact, so if spacing is an issue for you, trust me it will not take up much space.

Now to sum up the acoustic quality? It's simply ravishing. I am using this with an Xbox 360, and tested it with games such as Battlefield Bad Company 2 and Medal of Honor. Audio plays a big part in the multi-player gaming experience, since in both games, I was able to hear others try to flank me and I was able get the drop on them first with my team. The sound is crisp and realistic, and supports all the current Dolby platforms, with the exception of Dolby 7.1. Gaming chat is good, if not better than with the standard headset that came with the console. The mic is detachable, flexible, and appears to be quite durable.

Setup of the headphones was really easy, since all the connectivity goes directly to the console. I was also pleased with the fact that it is USB powered, so no need for an additional AC adapter. Thank goodness since all of the outlets on my powerstrip are all occupied.

In conclusion, this headset has got the essentials to meet and even exceed most gamers expectations. It's got a sophisticated/streamlined look and feel, the acoustics are impressive, the setup was a snap, and the overall experience with them thus far is a great one.

Give it a shot sports fans, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

I really love this headset so far. Purchased and received last week.

I have been using a pair of Sennheiser HD555's with a 1/4" f to 1/8" m headphone adaptor and plugged into my speakers (setup via stereo). Mic solution: wrapped the standard XBox mic around my neck. Good sound, chat worked after adjusting in-game volumes. Basically it worked and sounded good enough, but the transition to a proper, solid gaming headset is night and day.

PROs:

-The first thing I noticed is how lightweight this headset is. It doesn't bear down on you and the cups don't press on your ears too hard. The cups also do a good job of encompassing your ears.

-Fantastic sound. After a few adjustments (in-line volume lower, SCU volume up), I managed to get this to an appropriate sound level. I did a few Wager Matches in Black Ops to break them in and further configure them. Worked great. Tried Bad Company 2. Wow. Just awesome. Crisp sounds and the bass booms when it needs to. This set has also proven that I will never be able to go back to regular stereo sound, either. Digital is phenomenal.

Side note: I found that turning off the "3D Sound Expander" makes it sound muuuuch better, in my opinion. Perhaps I'm using it wrong, but it was disorienting at times and seemed to create unnecessary echo. Might be better for movies perhaps.

-Configurable to any set up. Has a nice set of manuals for anything you may want to connect the headset to. Plenty of adaptors and the main cables are plenty long to connect with most setups.

-Sturdy design. Even though it's light, it doesn't feel cheap. Mic is tough and flexible as well.

CONS

-Lots of cables. My setup right now has three cables coming out of the SCU and three out of the in-line box (one connecting to the XBox controller for voice). This is probably a product of being so configurable.

Side note: This is actually still a pro for me because I don't want to deal with wireless shenanigans (mainly staying on top of rechargable batteries)

-Mic sensitivity. I haven't done any in-game chatting yet, but I have tested it out in party chat to see when it picks up. I noticed that I had to have the mic pretty close to my mouth for it to register. Again, this may bug people, but personally I do not find it bothersome.

-Also, be sure to know that if you want to use Digital, you will need some sort of Optical output on your Xbox. I was lucky enough to already have the VGA adaptor to game on my PC monitor and that has an optical output.

Just love this headset thus far.

Best Deals for Sharkoon X-Tatic SR Gaming Headset with Dolby Headphone Technology

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I ave actually had several different gaming headsets. I have played on or owned the following headsets.Tritton TRIAX-180 AX 180 Universal Gaming Headset, Tritton TRIAX-720 AX 720 Dolby Digital Surround Sound, Turtle Beach, EarForce X31 Wireless Chat+Gam (Catalog Category: Videogame Accessories / Headsets & Speakers), Ear Force X41 (XBOX LIVE Chat + Wireless Digital RF Game Audio with Dolby Headphone 7.1 Surround Sound), and Ear Force PX5 Programmable Wireless 7.1 Dolby Digital Surround Sound Headset with Bluetooth. So I have a little background on gaming headsets.

The first thing that struck me about this headset when pulling it out of the box was the sheer volume of the number of chords included in the packet. Granted, this headset is billed as being versatile and usable on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC but I would have hoped for a much more streamlined set-up across all devices.

In regards to connecting to an Xbox 360. If you have the original 360 design you will need one of two things. Either the AV cable that has a built in Digital Audio Optical Out port or if you are using HDMI you will need a RCA Audio Cable Adapter for XBOX 360 + Slim. If you are using the new Xbox 360 Slim model this won't be an issue as there is now one built into it.

Now, that all that information is out of the way, what do I think about the headset? I actually used it on my 360 and my PC to see if there was any difference.

While using the headset it I noticed right away it was light, but the ear cups seemed just a tad on the small side and didn't allow a lot of breathing room. Sound quality was good but it didn't blow me away. Chat quality on the Xbox seemed to be lacking a little bit. You need the mic very close to your mouth so your friends can hear you. One complaint I have is when game volume goes up (think explosions and such) chat volume does not compensate for it making you need to ask friends to repeat what they said or wait for the game volume to go back down.

At the end of the day you're reading this review to influence one way or another on purchasing this headset or another. So'll I'll give my opinion on that.

If you are looking around this price point for a gaming headset (at the time of writing this review it's over one hundred dollars) then I would like to recommend either the Turtle Beach X41 or the Tritton 720. They both are a stronger quality headset and offer a better gaming headset.

The Sharkoon's have potential to be a decent option but when they are the same price as other headsets that do more and are easier to hook up it doesn't make much sense. If you want to splurge then really take a look at the Turtle Beach PX5. They are programmable and have blue tooth support. It's my current headset and I love it.

This one is just average across the board. It doesn't really disappoint, but it never wowed me either.

Honest reviews on Sharkoon X-Tatic SR Gaming Headset with Dolby Headphone Technology

SCROLL DOWN FOR JUST FACTS IF NOT READ THE FOLLING ALSO.

well for those who compare them to other headsets such as trittons and then complain about wires, well makes me wonder if you have ever owned trittons because they also have wires "everywhere" so i must discredit any review when i see any kind of review which is tainted by an issue which is also apparent w/ headsets that same reviewer is praising. fact is that these actually come with one less wire, the external power supply, and it just bothers me when someone can rate someones review as helpful when it starts off with discreditting info,

HERE ARE THE FACTS AOUT THESE HEADSETS. for the money they are the best. i have been around a long time, i must say that if i were to pit these against higher end heatsets then the score would suffer a bit but those headsets are more of a "competitive lass" and also range from 250to 600 plus so with that said im basing these on the item itself as well as items in the price range (109 bks for these right now). well to start off i must also say that if i had an extra few bucks i would get the tritton ax pro's which are not insanely priced but also have good speaker config as well as power, but they break.. alot.

when im mgaming at home i use the tritton ax pro's, anything else i will bring my astro's w/me or the "howza's" and funny thing is how i discovered the sharkoons, was gaming at home and yes the trittons pulled a man down, so much that i have a pair of chepo's laying around. but when i got these my first impression was "wow they freakin copied trittons look in every way!!" the 5.1 box was almost identical save color, and the hook up was almost identical.. well i noticed one wore thing which was almost identical, the sound. keep in mind im an old school gamer who likes his comfort zone and his certain products so these were intended to just back up my trittons, but i have found myself using them more the the pros.. not the ax 720's the ax pro's black ops edition. which at the time set me back just a bit over 200.

comparison to all in this class, well ive tried the turtle beach alpha, bravo's and charlies which are just make overs / special editions for the px5 being alpha and the delta's being the "starters", well you got the idea. anyways they blow the sony set's out the water and keep in mind that turtle beaches are marketed and designed for the xbox 360, and then they made other set's which were compat with both, well these can be used on p.c as well. in my honest opinion they are better than the px5's and heres why, wireless sucks when it comes to 3 main items of gaming, mice, keyboards and HEADSETS. the freq unfortunately will interfere with the sound, meaning the sound will drop/cut out here and there, and gamers law is they usually do when its at crucial points of a game, lol.. but seriously i would have to sit directly in front of my 50 in to min the drops, so the whole idea of the headset being bluetooth and it being on different channels etc, bull crap. the box it connects with is the problem. and yes the sound was good, and it does come with a way to download and create presets but many being useless i.e superman hearing and if you are willing to spend 250 then get the astro's.. 30's or 40's will do the job.

the sharkoon is a headset which is in the mid range of headsets, and as much as my midrange must haves/own are the ax pro's these have been a delight to own and use, and yes they have wires. go to a lan party and see how many "pro gamers" are using wireless. anything wireless will have the game lose precision, control, have delay (even if its mili seconds for mouse type devices, it is everything when playing against a person with no delay) so try and stick with wired, console controllers are something else entirely and i enjoy using frags. i will not have it any other way, wired or the highway. yes ive used some very high end devices which do in fact work well, but prepare to pay extra.

the design is nice w/ these, they are not bulky and do not give you red ears of death, game for bout 6 to 8 and your good. the sound quality is not the best ive heard, but again there are crap end, lower end, midrange, high end, higher end and money is no object end. well these fall into lower to mid end as far as the price as it is today, and as far as im concerned they are better or as good as any headset in the under 200 class. but it has flaws, one being with xbox 360 and a mic issue, which has been resolved by investigation aka googling. so everall these are not true dolby 5.1 they are simulated, but they do make a 5.1 and i like these better. the ax pro's also are true 5.1 having 4 speakers in each ear. but i have always been one to say "7.1 simulated? bullcrap" well that was when the 7.1 was a newer breed but i have heard some 7.1 simulated which gave my ears a soundwhoring bomer. bottom line is do the headsets sound good, are they worth the money and are they sturdy and comfy? yes yes and yes. also they are not very heavy and ive used them w/ p.c. and they work well there too. i have used them w/ ps3 and 360. but more or less more with the ps3, but they work well with any gaming device i mention as well as a music player, and they look pretty cool..

for the money these can be argued to be the best or almost or just as good as some which cost more and better than some which cost more..

so what does that say for these?

BOSTONJOHN32 PSN, STEAM bostonjohn617 and 32, company of heroes bostonjohn32, xbox live H4LOG0D 9this one may be in banned state)

happy new year to all

didnt check my spelling, yes it does suck, thats why i dont review spell hecking software or e-readers. trolls would be all over me, lol

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program Just received these headphones, had them hooked up to the TV in the den (wife reading book close to me). I will say the sound was awesome like surround all around, great base etc.....great! Next chapter, the grandson comes over with his Xbox, I think that thing is welded to his hip, hooks it up to play for awhile. He spots the Sharkoon headset, as you might expect he conned me into letting him use it, Grrr. He, being a lot younger than I and has much better hearing, was totally impressed with the sound. He thought I would let him borrow it----wrong! I later hooked it up to my wife's laptop, did a little conversation with a friend----no comparison to what I was using. Tried music, oh yes, terrific! I will have to say with my very limited knowledge of electronics and components these are wonderful. I have tried using his Xbox but feel like a total dork, so I will not play with any kid around (I would be the entertainment).

If you are looking for a higher end headset I would absolutely recommend the X-Tatic. I really would like to be a little more technical in this review, but feel that is beyond my scope. I just cannot see how anyone would be disappointed as these are beyond anything I have previously put on my old ears. Tonight I plan to watch a movie in the front room after my wife goes to bed and enjoy not having to hear that the TV is too loud.

LATER:

Watched the movie, unbelievable sound, so much better than the TV---It was like I was right in the middle, hearing sound all around me. Added tremendously to the movie. I enjoyed every minute!

GG2:overture is somehow one of the most misunderstood game of all times, probably because of the burden of its predecessors.

The guilty gear saga is probably know for being one of the best 2d fighting game, and during the years have produced many titles with some new charachter here and there.

Now, at some point Daisuke Ishiwatari (the original creator of the game, and composer of all hard rock-metal music) decided to create something totally new, while the liege of 2d fighting would be carried on by another title, Blazblue.

And that's the problem. When fan discovered that the new GG wasn't a fighting game, simply hated it. And the fact that the game wasn't a typical, western RTS didn't helped the rest of the public.

But in short, what is Guilty Gear 2? A dynasty warrior clone? an RTS? a 3d fighting game?

GG2 is all and none of thse, it's a unique, competitive game that unite elements from fighting game, action game and strategy game into a new totally concept, defined as "melee action game"

The core of the game, usuless to say and stated many time by its creator, is the multyplayer. The campain mode serve as a training to prepare slowly for it, but it doesn't work too well, and it's generally boring, even if it bring forward the story of the previous chapters.

But, as I was saying, it's in multyplayer that the game shine.

The player control the army master in third person, while can easyly summon and move troops by calling the organ, a practic mini-map.

The objective of the game is to destroy the enemy base, the masterghost. Unfortunately, the masterghost is protected by a barrier, tha reflect the master attacks.

The servants (the master troops) can easyly destroy the barrier, but they have to reach it first. TO buy and unlock new servants you need mana, the game value. To obtain mana the player need to control ghosts, control points scattered around the map.

So, the basic lines of the game can be understood even from this brief view: you control servants to capture ghost, that gives the player mana to buy more servants, that will ultimately found a free way to the enemy masterghost and destroy its barrier. In all of this the player need to control the master, that can run all around the map in short time, destroy entire groups of servants in a moment and transport servants with him to release them in key point.

That creates a unique tactical experience: you have to control the servants, move to ghost, and always consider what the enemy master is doing and not leave your key ghost/servants unprotected, all of this while you search for the enemy seravnts, run across the map, release your servants and think about a new strategy.

Also, when a master encounter the enemy, the game work as a fighting game in all aspects: you have combo, defence and even all the advanced charateristic of the previous guilty gear game, like areal dash, psichic burst, roman cancel and so on.

There is many other charateristic of the game, but that's just a general overview

In general, GG2 is not an easy game. It has much to offer, but also ask for some work.

If you search for an easy game to enjoy alone, it's not probably the game for you.

But if you want a new, challenging experience that never cease to wonder, it's surely a must buy

I had first heard about this title when it was in Japan and said it's to much like street figther!!!...But after they adapted it to a hack and slash I said that's innovation. Two for the money baby. Love the Maps and Sol is still a great character to play with.

Best Deals for Guilty Gear 2: Overture - Xbox 360

When I got this game I was expecting either a fighter or somthing like Soul of the Samurai with more characters. What I got was somthing like an unnessisarily complicated version of Dynasty Warriors. Pretty good game. Not reccomended if you have little patience or a short attension span.

Honest reviews on Guilty Gear 2: Overture - Xbox 360

I have been a fan of GG for a long while and was exicted when I heard that the next game would be an action game, but sadly it falls short of my expectations. Don't get me wrong the game is not terrible it just gets repetitive. Most of the missons involve a kind of "capture the base" where you and your enemy battle for control over "ghosts" and then once you've captured all the ghosts you must destroy the enemys "masterghost" which is their base. One thing that disappointed me was the lack of characters, the only ones from the original game series are Sol Badguy and Ky (but Ky is nonplayable) while the rest are newcomers. Also in the game are these things you can summon on the battlefield called "servents" which fight along side you, it kinda reminded me of Chaos Legion for PS2. Overall its a decent game if you're a fan of Guilty Gear if not you might want to look elsewere.

Being a 1st person shooter, WWII history and Saving Private Ryan fan I was looking forward to this game for a while. It starts off with one of the best opening levels I've ever played (and that's saying allot). The heavy scripting is so well done it completely immerses you into the world of a WWII soldier. Trying to keep this short so I'll hit on the major points;

GRAPHICS

Very good. Nice explosions and character modeling. Lacked some of the punch of Return to Castle Wolfenstein, but will not disappoint you.

GAMEPLAY

Fantastic. There are different types of levels from running around like in most FPS, to being the gunner on the back of a jeep, it's all fun.

SOUND

Great. From the 'clink' of your rifle's clip running out, to the enemy soldiers yelling out 'Actung!'. Music is always appropriate and adds to the overall effect.

LEVEL DESIGN

Amazing. This is where it really shines. I have never been going through a level and caught myself thinking, 'This is a great game.' while playing until now. The opening level draws you right into the action. The Omaha Beach Landing mission, yes it is straight out of Saving Private Ryan which I think is a great thing, absolutely amazed me. I had been reading about it for months before release and building it up in my mind the whole time. It did not disappoint. Having said that, the last couple missions were not that good (kinda boring actually), but the first 3/4 of the game are well worth the cost. The last level gives you no warning that this is the end which did upset me a bit.

CONS

The ending [wasen't so good] and came on too quick. You will need a good system to enjoy it...

Buy it and enjoy . . .

Medal of Honor: Allied Assault (MOH) is without a doubt one of the most entertaining first-person shooter games I've played in quite some time. The game begins a U.S. Army Ranger on a secret mission in Algiers and continues with a journey through the history of the western European campaign in WWII. In MOH, you find yourself riding Tiger tanks, sniping Nazis in the rubble of bombed-out European villages, sabotaging U-Boats, assaulting Nazi camps in a torrid blizzard and even storming the Beaches of Omaha.

Usually, when I replay missions in first-person shooters (FPS), it is because I am bored with the game and looking for anything that will allow me to enjoy it again. While playing MOH, I found myself purposefully restarting missions because I enjoyed them so much. The mission that allows your soldier to storm the Beaches of Omaha is straight out of the opening scene in the film "Saving Private Ryan." If you are a fan of FPS games that use snipers in single-player missions, you will get a kick out of MOH as it has some of the best sniper missions I've ever played in an FPS. Each mission in MOH is a change from the previous one. I've rarely seen so much variety in single-player missions in an FPS.

The graphics for MOH are impressive but you'll need an expensive video card to see the full effort artists put into this game. It's rare but I don't have many negative things to say about MOH. Grenades are a large part of any FPS based on WWII and I feel the mechanics for grenade throwing in MOH could be better. MOH needs more objective style maps for multi-player but the MOD community is working on it at a frantic pace and supposedly the developers will be releasing more maps in the future as well as an expansion pack.

ACTION FANS 5 STARS If you prefer an FPS with quick and easy movement/mechanics, you might not enjoy MOH as much as other FPS games. In other words, MOH is based more in realism than non-stop action. Your character moves slower, the weapons have kick back, you can't jump like an NBA basketball player, etc. This bothers some people who prefer a FPS with more of an arcade style. When I started playing MOH, I had just finished the game Return to Castle Wolfenstein which played like the aforementioned arcade tempo. It took some getting use to but once I had the hang of it I enjoyed MOH more than most FPS games I've played. I found the mechanics of the game to be a nice compromise, not as rigid as a game like Rainbow Six, but not as unrealistic or too easy like Unreal Tournament. It's easy to play but difficult to master and the style of play in MOH keeps one person from dominating every online game.

STRATEGY FANS 2 STARS MOH is another shoot `em up that probably won't appeal to gamers that like to stick with strategy games. If you haven't played an FPS and are willing to give them a chance, I would recommend MOH as an introduction to the genre.

ADVENTURE/RPG FANS 3 STARS Just as I suggested MOH as an introduction to the FPS genre for strategy game fans, I believe MOH would be a fun experience for fans of RPG games. If you enjoy watching WWII movies, you will probably get a kick out of MOH. It's better than most action games but only you know how much tolerance you have for these types of games.

X FACTOR BATTLE OF THE WWII SHOOTERS 5 STARS Recently, the PC gaming community has seen a rush on FPS games with a WWII theme. Return to Castle Wolfenstein and the Day of Defeat mod for Half-Life are only a few. After playing all of them, I have to say MOH was the best WWII experience. It would be fair to say that some of the other WWII FPS multi-player modes are slightly more entertaining but taking everything into account, MOH is the superior product.

BUGS 4 STARS I didn't encounter a single crash with the single-player mode in MOH but the multiplayer format crashed a few times. Not a major problem and it will probably decrease as more patches are released. There is a glitch in one of the multiplayer maps that allows anyone who wishes to cheat to move underneath the map thus hiding them from view and allowing them to clean house on the enemy but few know how to do it and it will probably be fixed in a future patch.

REPLAY VALUE 5 STARS MOH uses the same Quake engine that several first-person shooters employ. As I write this review, an official editor has been released and it is basically a modified version of the Quake mapping tools. Luckily, many gamers already know how to modify games that use this popular engine so a full-scale MOD community is already in place with not only multi-player maps in progress but many single-player scenarios being worked on. MOH's single-player missions have plenty of replay value as I even played some missions more than twice. One negative aspect of the multi-player mode is that the most exciting maps are objective maps (require your team to complete goals to win the game) and unfortunately there are only four objective maps included in the game. Deathmatch maps in MOH are your typical deathmatch maps, fun every once in awhile but not entertaining enough to keep your attention for long. A great version of deathmatch maps in MOH is the round-based mode which allows only life per player and is fun to watch as your team either wipes out the enemy or is mercilessly crushed. MOH has a very dedicated online community and looks to have a boatload of MODs, maps, skins and other great additions for a long time.

I'm a WWII buff, and spend most of my waking time emmersed in a in a WWII era daydream world. For me, WWII is the center of the universe. I am also an avid gamer and usually like the Rainbow 6 series for its immersive quality. I've just played the demo, and it has taken parts of that WWII fantasy world (American perspective after D-day) and made it as real as possible. Outstanding! Playing it is like living inside a Stephen Ambrose book. MOHAA has just totally blown any of the R6 games out of the running for the most immersive game. The only complaint I would have is the lack of control that the player has over their squad. I'd like to be able to tell them to get back or to get down while I snipe an enemy for example, instead they end up getting killed. At the same time, one develops a sense of responsiblity for their men. You really don't want them to die. Unlike R6 where one could care less. This is all in all the best game I've ever played in my life. Avid gamers may disagree, but WWII buffs shouldn't miss it!

Honest reviews on Medal of Honor: Allied Assault - PC

I just got a really good computer, and one of the reasons is because of MOHAA. It is a really realistic and really fun. The sound is incredible, the shells hitting you and the ground sounds like your actually there. The D-Day level is really, really, fun. Can't make it better. The way the enemy AI is pretty good. They act like real soldiers. Some run away, some take cover and wisley and accuratly fire at you, and some take cover and blindly fire at you. The levels are fun, yet challenging (especially the later levels). The graphics are really good, better than Frontline (the MOH sequel for PS2), and it came out after MOHAA. There are six missions, with about five levels per mission. Mission 1Algeria, North Africa. November 7, 1942. You have to recue a SAS Agent being held prisinor. After you do you have to blow up som flaks and many other things. Mission 2Trondhiem, Norway. February 12, 1943. You have to blow up a u boat by dressing up as a nazi soldier, kill a prototype, and many other things. Mission 3Normandy, France. June 6, 1944. You land on Omaha beach on D-Day and clear out a bunker, kill an anti-aircraft gun, and many other things. Mission 4Normandy, France. June 12, 1944. Your deep behind enemy lines and you have to rescue a downed pilot and do many other things. Mission 5Brittany, France. August 20, 1944. You have to capture a king tiger tank and defend a base and many other things. Mission 6Siegfried, Germany. January 18, 1945. You steal a new german machine gun, plant bombs inside a musturd gas company, and wreak havoc in the Nazis home.

I'd say that it's difficult for a computer game to truly impress me. I can think of very few games that I have been completely taken aback by. Titles that come to mind are Halflife, Deus Ex, Opposing Force and even No One Lives Forever. Medal of Honor: Allied Assault is perhaps the best game that I have EVER played. If you read my other reviews, you'll know that I would not throw around such a bold statement. MOHAA is simply on another level compared to most other games. Now, I'm not crazy, so I won't say that it is better than Halflife, but I will say that it most certainly gives the alien shooter a run for its money. In my mind, the two games are readily comparable.

MOHAA is a WWII shooter, which one must admit there aren't enough of these days. I won't count Return to Castle Wolfenstein, because that wove in some sci-fi also. Everything that's out is special forces and anti-terrorism. It's about time that a game came out that was pure Nazi-butt whoopin'. The plot remains very true to WWII, and the missions are realistic down to the smallest detail. The entire game has a feeling of nostalgia, as the guns that are available are strictly Axis and Allies' weapons and fire realistically. The realistic effects are accomplished through accurate sound and strength of the weapon. There are two sniper rifles, a silenced pistol, various submachine guns (including the Thompson, my favorite), and many others. Some missions even allow you to call in artillery strikes using a pair of binoculars. As OSS agent Lt. Mike Powell, you'll encounter nothing but Nazis in this game, which I absolutely loved. Each mission is extremely satisfying because of the mission objectives. Many objectives call for blowing up German weaponry, which is extremely gratifying. It is easy to feel like you're actually helping to win the war.

There is also something to be said about the enemy AI and graphics. The game's graphics are superb. Each landscape is crystal clear, and special effects such as shadows, rain, snow, and fog have all been expertly designed. Your enemies are also smart, despite what other reviews have alleged. Enemies kick over tables for cover, yell for help, look startled when you surprise them, hide in closets, and take cover in strategic positions. A particular mission orders you to make your way through a bombed village that is crawling with Nazi snipers. The snipers are deadly and make you pay for your excessively bold moves. Although one shot does not kill in MOHAA, it does not take very many and you must be on the lookout for medics or first-aid kits. You're also not overwhelmed with enemies. Enemy strongholds and artillery positions are realistically defended, giving the game an even better feel. Needless to say, you'll have your work cut out for you.

A note must also be made of the Normandy Invasion, which is level 3. It's on the cover of the box, and any advertisement you'll see for the game ties back into D-Day. The fact is that the designers at EA have truly done an honor to the actual Normandy Invasion. The mission is ultrarealistic, and HARD. I spent the most time on this mission, which makes sense since the real thing was also next to impossible. Buy the game for this mission alone, if for nothing else.

Overall, I must say that MOHAA is the best game that I've played in a while (if not ever!). People have compared the game to Saving Private Ryan, which is fair because the two are similar. However, MOHAA is a legend of its own. If you don't buy this game, you're definitely missing out on gaming history, but also world history. People will remember this game for a long time, I guarantee.

This game combines turn-based combat and strategy with the dogfighting seen in Star Trek: Encounters, and I think it does a great job of it. Because this is a Star Trek-themed game the conquests all bear the name of locations from the shows, and the factions correspond to the ones seen in the Dominion Wars epsiodes. There are also special weapons and characters from the Star Trek universe, and there's even good, if repetitive, voiceovers bringing home the theme. However, beyond that this is just a basic turn-based war simulator, but it's really fun and has immense replay value if you like that kind of game. You can choose the level of difficulty, which really does change the kind of game you get, and being able to select which faction you play and how many and who you play against makes for a lot of different possible outcomes. I also like that you can select between different combat resolutions, giving instant results based on the opposition stats, a more drawn out but computer controlled shootout, or an arcade-like dogfight where you can really get the benefit of those fast scoutships. There is a difference for which one you choose, so it takes some real consideration. Now, there are some drawbacks to this game. My main criticism is that once you've mastered this game it's hard to get a real challenge out of it again. It remains fun, but the limited kinds of ships and structures you can build keeps it from being engaging from a Star Trek-fan-point-of-view. I recommend this game for fans of war strategy and general enjoyers of all-things-Star Trek. Hardcore fans, this may not be for you...

Overall a pretty decent game.

The good: 1: Easy to learn.2.Simple control. 3:Each race has its strengths and weaknesses. 4: Star Trek at war!

The bad: 1: After a couple games, starts to lack depth. 2: Races are unbalanced, Klingons dominate. 3: Federation just as war-like as other races.

The ugly: Why is the Wii version twice as much?

This is a very fun game. You need to get a little used to it, but after awhile it gets really fun. One of the reasons it is fun is because it is never the same. It always changes.

A tip on the game........

When you get into a battle, unless you are positive that you are going to win, select the "arcade" syle. It not only lets you have the fun of doing it, but it also came make the outcome change from what it would have been if you selected "sim" or "instant."

Overall this game is really fun. Hope you enjoy.

Honest reviews on Star Trek: Conquest - PlayStation 2

Star Trek: Conquest is bargain bin cheap, and for good reason. The game, while entertaining, is extremely shallow and will not take long for you to tire of it. I've played two "campaigns", the deepest game mode included in the game, and I'm already growing tired of it.

I can forgive many of the game's faults, like its "galaxy at war" premise, lack of diplomacy, limited number of ship types, and the complete absence of main characters (at least as far as the Federation goes), but there are some aspects of the game that are hard to look past. Probably my biggest gripe is that there is precisely ONE map in the entire game. One. Once you've played it, that's it. There's no randomness to the map. Nothing on the map changes from campaign to campaign, which makes replayability almost nil.

It also doesn't help that there are a very limited number of "neutral" races to fight. The map starts with 20+ neutral systems, and when you visit one, you are confronted with a random enemy. These random enemies seem to be limited to the Borg, the Xindi, and the Ferengi. That's it. And they all fight exactly the same. The Borg are no harder to defeat than the Ferengi. The conspicuous absence of species like the Bajorans and Andorians is hard to overlook, considering those species have had ships shown in Star Trek episodes and their homeworlds are included in the game. Having to fight the Ferengi to win control of DS9 was just plain WRONG.

The lack of variety in the game might not be a big deal were it not for the fact that it is very easy to win. It would seem the only difference between the difficulty levels is the amount of resources you get to start with and the use of "fog of war". The computer opponents don't fight particularly well in battle, their overall strategy is lacking, and this doesn't seem to change between difficulty levels. Out of the dozens of battles I've fought, I've lost only two, and those were cases where I was greatly outnumbered. The game is very little of a challenge.

The game does have some merits. The ship combat is entertaining, though does get repetitive over time. The overhead view of the "battleground" is not as thrilling as a view from the ship's bridge might be, but its passable. The controls work reasonably well and it's very easy to learn them.

As far as a turn-based strategy game goes, ST:C is only okay. The game seems like it has a lot of potential for expansion, but this first effort was lacking in depth and game balance. Each star empire is limited to three fleets, which is probably plenty for the small map, but the limited number means that fleets that can move between more systems in a turn are much more valuable than their slower counterparts. Each of your fleets has a leader, and the leader determines the number of systems you can move through in a turn. Most leaders (2/3 of them) allow only one move, at least on their lowest experience levels, but a few allow you to move twice. I have found these leaders are far more powerful than the others. They fight more battles, and thus earn experience faster. This lets them "level up" quicker, which makes them even MORE powerful. In my time playing, my speedy leaders have always reached the top experience level (level 5), while all other leaders manage at best level 2.

The treatment of Star Trek canon is not bad in the game. Other than a thinly-explained "galaxy at war" situation, the game does not have any glaring inaccuracies. However, I do have to complain briefly that the game was poorly checked for spelling and grammar as I have noticed numerous, glaring errors when it comes to the text in the game.

*The Bottom Line*

ST:C is only a passable game, and would certainly have received a worse rating had it been any more expensive. The game is good for a few hours of play, but once you've been through the campaign mode a couple of times, the appeal wears off. The game is very shallow in terms of strategic depth, and replayability is very poor. If you're looking for a deep strategy game with lots of options, or a true-to-the-show Star Trek experience, look elsewhere. If you enjoy a quick strategy game that won't take you long to finish (you can play through a campaign in 2-3 hours), it might be worth shelling out a few bucks for this game. Just don't expect to be challenged by it.

This game is easy to learn and fun to play. After a few hours, it turns into a fancy game of Tic-Tac-Toe.

As a big fan of Interstel's Empire and Master of Orion I and II, I was disappointed

There are 3 fundamental problems with this game:

1) You can only have 3 fleets, which are basically the same thing as units. Can you imagine playing Empire or MOO with only 3 units for the entire game? It's insane! As soon as your fleet leaves to conquer a planet, the enemy moves in and steals one of your planets.

2) There is no build time, so once you get going, you can build EVERYTHING you need in one turn. So you can wipe out an ememy fleet and it's back to full strength on the next turn.

3) You get into situations where the game is an endless loop. They move their unit to steal your planet and then you move your fleet to where they just were, stealing their planet. It's a tie and the game NEVER ends, even if you have more planets.

With a little tweaking, this could have been an awesome game.

Intelligent Qube is one of those rare gems for the Playstation, and it is interesting to know that one can find humble and challenging games among the giants of flashy graphics.

The game is one big and bad puzzle floor where crushing cubes come falling your way and you need to avoid them by making use of explosives you place in the floor. The more cubes you destroy, the more points you get, and as you advance further the speed the cubes come your way increases by dangerous margins.

I do not know if this game can still be found, I really doubt it, but if you come to find it, by all means buy it!!

I have been looking for this game since I got the demo with my Playstation almost 10 years ago. When I finally spotted it sitting behind the glass at a local game store, I screamed like a little girl and pounced on it the way a falcon catches a hare. I had to have it.

What's different from the demo? There's music now, which seems a little bit out of place but has its own cathartic kind of quality. There are eight increasingly ridiculous stages and then the Final Stage, which consists of four devious puzzles. My chops were still fairly fresh, and I was able to beat the game in one sitting, but it took 3 hours and I had to continue twelve times, and I wound up with a final IQ of 12 since the game resets your score when you continue. I plan on replaying it nonstop until I beat it without continuing.

This game is still every bit as much fun as the demo was in 1997. The controls remain responsive, the puzzles are still fresh, and the game is still unlike anything before or since (including the rather lousy PQ). This game is my most prized possession.

Best Deals for Intelligent Qube - PlayStation

This was the first (and only) puzzle game I've ever bought for a video game console, and it hooked me from the first five minutes of starting it up.

The concept here is really simiple. You're a tiny guy (or gal) on a big platform of blocks suspended in a world of darkness. You're sitting there, minding your own buisness, when suddenly huge smashy blocks appear at the end of the platform, coming right towards you. There's nowhere to hide, nowhere to run to. Your only chance is to set explosive devices and destroy the blocks before they reach you. If you fail...well, lets just say it won't be pretty.

So you run around, frantically destroying the blocks before they reach and crush you. It's very simple gameplay, but add in the fact that things go faster and faster, and the challenge gets harder and harder as the game goes on, and you've got a challenging game that's easy to learn, almost impossible to master.

So we've got fun and challenging gameplay, but absoloutly terrible graphics. By todays standards, Intelligent Qube is a visual mess. The charachters are terrilbly ugly and everything has a first generation playstation look to it. The game also gets impossibly hard as it goes on. I never got past the fourth level, which says a lot about how hard this puzzle is.

But the graphics and difficulty can be easily forgiven, considering how addictive and compelling the gameplay is. In it's finest form, Intelligent Qube is a perfect example of superior gameplay over superior graphics. This is one puzzler that stands the test of time quite well.

This game has its origins in the Japanese game market. It was produced only for 6 months for the us market by Sony. Why for only 6 months i don't know. It is easier to find in the NTSC/J format along with it's sequil. The premis of this game is a fast paced puzzle environment. It really tests your wits. In a way it could be described as a scrolling rubix cube game for your playstation. It even gives your mock I.Q. at the end. Hence the name Intelligent *Q*ube not Cube. Look for this game on Amazon zshops or auctions and be prepared to pay at least some money. You won't want to let this game go once you have a copy.

It was a great game because it was so addicting and challenging --yet simplistic and in the realm of its own in terms of the game world.

However, please. I was looking at the prices listed for this product and if one is hunting for a good deal, the ones you'll find on Amazon is your best bet because there are some interesting sellers on E-Bay that really think you'll pay nearly 100.00 for a PS-1 game. I mean really folks. A PS-1 game? The PS-1 system doesn't even sell as much as this game is trying to be sold for! Yeah... I mean...true it was a good game but then so is Monopoly and Battleship but you don't see people shelling out 80.00 to 100.00 for em!

Wow. Talk about gouging.

This latest Tom Clancy game has amazing graphics and some incredibly detailed body movements. It takes the spy game genre to an entirely new level!

I'm a big spy-game fan in general, and we have all 3 major platforms, so I went into Splinter Cell curious about all the hype. It's gotten incredible ratings from several magazines. I have to say, after having played it, those ratings were well deserved.

First, the graphics. The amount of work that went into graphics on this game is just phenomonal. Your character goes through smoke and fire, through darkness and bright neon light, under shaded lattices, through light coming through venetian blinds, through hazy curtains, through punch-hole metalwork. It is just STUNNING. You really begin to believe that this is a movie and you're controlling the outcome.

The other senses aren't neglected. Sound is KEY and you are constantly aware of how much noise you're making while you're sneaking around. The speed at which you move, your crouching, your stance, all affect how well people notice you. Unlike other games which blast you with rock music, in this one you're so attuned that you hear the little movements of your own feet as you creep, or the movements of guards walking down the hallway.

The animation on the character is fantastic. Press up against a wall. Climb a fence and roll over the top. Slide down a wire. Go hand-over-hand across a pipe, and pull up your feet to get more traction. Slide down a ladder, jump up a wall and do a split to stay there, unseen. The way the character moves is just amazing. Some serious work was put into this effort, and it pays off.

The gameplay missions are logical and draw you along into the story. It's not exactly a ring-through-the-nose drag like other games. You are given objectives "Get object X which is in building Y" but you aren't handed a map to follow. Instead, you're put into real-world situations and have to figure out for yourself the best way to accomplish that goal. You could try a frontal assault, you could try the sneaky back way. It's up to you, and your success depends on your ability to think through a situation and then implement your path.

The game even encourages you not to be violent. It points out that your aim is stealth, and that you should try to stay unseen and sneak by whenever possible. In most missions you can get through without killing anyone, if you use your head.

Highly recommended for any first-person-shooter fan!

While it lacks universal appeal, Splinter Cell (SC) is an outstanding game that provides an experience on the Xbox that no other game can. You take the role of Sam Fisher, an veteran special forces commando called out of retirement for a new, experimental intelligence initiative of the NSA. The storyline is classic Tom Clancy (as is Fisher, Clancy readers may wonder why they didn't just name the character Clark and be done with it). As far as simulating this type of experience goes, SC is remarkably well done but what will really determine if you like the game is whether or not the core concept appeals to you.

If you're considering purchasing SC then you've doubtlessly already read about how fantastic the graphics and sound are. Believe the hype. The music and sound effects are wonderfully immersive and create the sort of tense atmosphere this game needs. The lighting engine is nothing short of revolutionary. There are some clipping issues (dead bodies can poke through walls) but it is difficult to pick on the game for this considering how much power must be devoted to the best real time light and shadows ever in a game.

The gameplay in SC is excellent. The conrtrols and camera are intuitive and easy to use. Fisher can perform an extensive variety of physical actions to interact with his environment. Sometimes it is difficult to get him to do exactly what you want because there are so many options available and so many objects to interact with but practice and experience will solve most of these problems.

It is important to be clear that SC is not a shooter in the classic sense. Certianly, you will encounter some scenarios in which the only real course of action is a full blown fire fight with automatic wepaons, but they are rare. Ubi Soft did a fantastic job of conveying how chaotic and disjointed such combat must feel. Fisher's aim worsens drmatically if you try to move and shoot at the same time and both you and your opponents will miss a lot. In addition, everyone is realistically fragile it only takes a few rounds to put someone down and head shots will always kill. But SC is really a stealth game. The point is to sneak through a dense thicket of security without being caught. The game's finest moments are found while you wait in the shadows, timing the complex patterns of a group of guards, waiting for the exact second to move to the next pool of shadows. Or when you sit in the darkness, mere feet from a pair of guards with machine guns as they stalk by, your heart stuck in your throat as you wait to see if they discover you. Depending on the way you choose to approach the game, you might kill every guard you come across or kill virtually no one. It is almost like there are two games in SC. You can play through as a cold machine, dropping every guard you come across, or you can take the self-imposed challenge and try to minimize the body count and the game will never really punish you for choosing one over the other.

Overall the level design and widely ranging methods of attack give SC a great deal of replay value. There are only nine levels, but each one takes several hours to complete and expansion levels will be available through Xbox Live or the Official Xbox Magazine game disks soon. The path through the levels may be a bit too linear. There is often really only way to travel from the start of a level to the end. The designers did this intentionally to keep the levels from being confusing, but it would have been a better simulation if it included such uncertainty. You can only save your game at certain check points in a given level and this is a good thing. It keeps the tension higher than it would have been if you could save your game anywhere.

The final point to touch on is the game AI. Overall, it is quite good, especially on a room to room basis. Enemies react realisitcally to your discovery and will investigate any sounds you may make. However, the game AI does have its faults. First it is possible to do things like shoot out a camera and then simply wait out a guard's investigation. If you stay hidden, eventually the guard will just figure it broke or something and forget about it rather than raising an alarm. It is also odd how you can stalk into a building, leaving in your wake nothing but broken lights and carefully hidden bodies, and no one on the radio network operated by the security notices the growing silence. It is also odd nobody ever notices a camera going offline when you shoot it, but the moment a camera sees you, all hell breaks loose. In the sequel Ubi Soft should try to address this, perhaps by upping the overall state of alarm every time a camera or radio equipped guard goes off the air.

In the end, SC is a game that anyone who finds the idea of slowly sneaking through shadowy compunds while dodging cameras, security guards, and dogs appealing should flat out purchase. You won't be disappointed. If you are unsure whether or not you would enjoy a video game where the tension and excitement come from the portions of the game that aren't action driven, then you should definitely rent first.

Best Deals for Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell - Xbox

I agree with what the other reviews say. The graphics in this game, especially the lights and shadows, are breathtaking. The AI is really good, though still pretty fallible and exploitable once you learn their reactions. The missions are varied. One mission you're going around killing everyone in sight and dont have too much time for secrecy. The next, your not allowed to kill ANYBODY, and cant even be detected. This makes for extremely intense, varying gameplay.

The music works perfectly with the game's sounds. When lurking about in shadows you hear every noise around you and all those that you make. When you are detected or are in a fire fight, theres this awesome bass and drum stuff that goes right along with your mood and the action.

Overall, I see one problem with the game. The control style while shooting. AT all other times the controls are fine, but as soon as you draw your weapon the controls become sluggish and unresponsive. However, the overall effect of this is that you cannot run around shooting people because YOU WILL LOSE! Theres no James Bond or HALO type running in and shooting up 8 guys. In this situation you will lose every time unless youre a god. The game forces you to be creative and seek other solutions. Distraction cams are my favorite. They make noises until the guards come close, then you can release poisonous gas to knock them out. Very fun.

Overall, great gameplay, graphics, audio, controls, etc. The only complaint isnt really a complaint because it really helps the game in the end. A must have for any gamer who likes to think things through before hand. Youll know when youre plan hasnt worked almost immediately, because youll be lying on the ground dead.

Honest reviews on Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell - Xbox

In a word, this game is awesome. I have never played Metal Gear Solid (or its sequels), but my buddies with PS2 machines tell me it doesn't compare to Splinter Cell. Ubi Soft has really pushed the power of the Xbox with this game. The vertex shading and other lighting effects make this game look not only beautiful but realistic. The gameplay is also stellar and this is a must buy for those who like intense single-player experiences. There is but one drawbacksee below.

Gameplay: 9.7

Simply the best overall game for the Xbox since Halo. The stealth involved in completing your missions, the myriad moves you can execute, the challenging aspect of not having ammo and health around every corner... all of these things and more provide outstanding gameplay. The camera is sharp and easy to manipulate and the AI is good enough to present a very good challenge on most of the missions. There is but 1 real drawback: It is only 3rd person. I would have preferred to be able to switch between 1st and 3rd. Also, if I wanted to nitpick, then I would complain about the pistol you have to carry throughout the first few missions.

Overall: 9.7

Combine the graphics, gameplay, and intensity and you have a winner. The few nitpicky drawbacks to this game cannot lower its value. The replay value is also sky-high thanks to many in-depth and challenging missions. Would a 1st person toggle been great? Sure. Would multiplayer, at least co-op, have been great? Certainly. How about a storyline that does not revolve around the former Soviet Union? Absolutely. Still not enough to detract from one of the best video games to date.

Canadian software developer and publisher Ubisoft has outdone themselves in this, their latest colaborative outing with author Tom Clancy. While not perfect, Splinter Cell sets the new standard for immersive game environments and lighting effects. The models and texture maps are astoundingly detailed, and the level designers really went out of their way to think of everything and include it in a most believable way. I would definately have to consider this game a must-have for xbox, if only because of the benchmark it represents, although there is much more to appreciate here than just visuals. The ambiant music and FX audio fits so well with the overall feel of the game that you may not even notice it's presence, just experience it as a natural extension of what is being presented on the screen.

The story line is interesting and believeable (you can read the synopsis elsewhere), and the cutscenes are quite well done, if a bit redundant. The dialogue is extremely well acted by Michael Ironside (our hero Sam Fischer) and company. The extra materials, including some "making of" videos, and an interview with our animated protagonist were a nice touch.

Controllability is mostly adequate as well. I'm usually a PC guy with FPS type games, but this game handles very well with the console controls. Some of the acrobatic maneuvers that are used in the game are a bit temperamental, always at the most inconvenient times, and I really think the Ubisoft game testers may have been a bit too concerned with the graphics to concentrate adequately on some of the playability issues that come up.

It's the playability issues alone that keep me from giving this game a 5 star rating. A few "quirky" issues here and there add up to several instances in the game where you are forced to replay sections ad-nauseum before you can commit all of the AI patterns and reaction sequences adequately to memory before being able to proceed to the next section, and sometimes success seems to come by blind luck. Also, there are a few aspects of gameplay that simply do not add up, or function spurradically to the point of being just too frustrating. Ubisoft made some real transparent programming and level-design decisions to make sure players are made aware that this is NOT A SHOOTER. Examples would include; a very limited supply of ammunition and pick-ups, the main character's inability to live through more that a few confrontations, and his atrocious markmanship. OK, Ubi, I understand that this isn't Halflife, but why not let me play the game how I choose? The storyline is essentially 100% linear as it is, why limit it even further? Also of note to some players there are reportedly no cheats codes whatsoever programmed into Splinter Cell. I will admit that some of the frustration I experienced in playing made me go surfing for ways to bypass certain parts.

I may be being a little too harsh on the cons here, but it's probably because all the other elements are so well done that these imperfections stand out all the more. With a little extra massaging and tweaking, we could have seen a perfect execution (no pun intended), but we are still left with what is certainly one of the best titles out there for Xbox to date. A very good choice for your next purchase.

This game kicks ass. it is the only baseball game i like and i have played them all. You get to manage your team trade players for better ones and hire free agents wich are really good for trading. Once you get a guy on fire by strong pithching or good batting he can throw faster hit farther and run faster which is a really good deal. Everytime you throw five strikes you get a special which are pitches like the whammy or the volcnao and are really good for striking out the batter. So overall this game ROCKS.

To be perfectly honest, when I first saw this game at Best Buy I was quite excited I've been an addict of NHL2K10 for the last year and liked the Wii's play controls, but was always annoyed with how stiff it felt. To see a game with an actual hockey stick seemed perfect.

Then I went home and read the reviews from different gaming site and everyone gave it solid marks (B-A-) but constantly mentioned that it wasn't for hardcore gamers that scoring 7+ goals was common and that things weren't realistic enough. Disappointed, I checked it off my "things I want for Christmas" list.

Then, ironically, my wife gave it to me as a present she saw how much I loved the 2K10 game so I put on tentative smile and thanked her. I was hoping, if anything, that since Slapshot was more arcade like, we could actually play it together unlike 2K10 which is a bit complex at times.

I popped the disc in later that night and started playing the PeeWee to Pro mode (where you create your own player and start off as a little dude in the outside rinks and have to move your way up through the leagues). The arcadeness came out right away checking and shooting was definitely fun just move the stick as you would instinctively but the scores were often double digits and checking sent the little guys flying across the ice. I must say my wife found it adorable to see lil baby Kane and Toews running around the ice it has a cute factor to it.

So I upped the difficulty level to "superstar" and now the game became very intense to play quite competitive and fun yet still double digit scores. It was like playing NBA Jam but for hockey.

However, then I came to see where so many reviewer went wrong. It's the core difference of actually playing a game for an extended period of time or just going for an extended "test drive".

After playing for a week, I finished the season (actually in 5th place) and my player had good enough stats to move to the next league. Now the players were a little bigger teenagers playing in outdoor rinks and things were a little tougher. Checks didn't send people flying across the ice players actually kept their balance and you couldn't just push them around. Scores were still in the 4-9 goal range, but it had a completely different, and more challenging feel.

Now I've made it through that age level, and my player recently got drafted into the CHL (Canadian Hockey League). I'm from Chicago and honestly know nothing about it but it appears to have all the real teams and stadiums. Let me tell you it's a whole new league! First, the whole concept of playing your role on the team comes into play in the peewee and teenage league, you just dominate the ice, go anywhere you want, and have the players pass it to. In the CHL it's a full 6v6 and as a RW I need to play my position. This isn't a game where you control whoever has the puck you just control your player. Try to take the puck the length of the ice and score? Forget it you'll have two guys double team you and lose the puck 9/10 times. Try to not play defense? No hope of winning your unmarked guy will put it in. Want to go check crazy? Well penalties now exist so if you get called for tripping, YOU go into the penalty box and can do nothing but scream at the TV while your goalie gets pounded during the opposing team's powerplay. It's absolutely fantastic.

Plus at the CHL there are announcers calling the game and you can set it to use a name of a pro player similar to yours. So when you get the puck, score, etc, you actually hear "your" name being called. Let me tell you I could get used to it.

Finally the scores? Tight matches with usually less than 5 goals a game. I've had countless 2-3 or 2-1 games. It's completely realistic.

All in all I honestly was in the playoff in my NHL2K10 game when my wife game me Slapshot and I haven't put 2K10 back in my Wii since. Between the graphics, gameplay (having an actual stick), realism, personalization, etc Slapshot is 50 times better than the 2K franchise. Unless you really care about contracts and trades and etc go with Slapshot the game is one of the best on the Wii to date.

NHL Slapshot is a great hockey experience on the Wii. Definitely more of an arcade experience than a simulation like the regular NHL series, Slapshot still offers a great combination of fun and skill and it gets you moving and involved with your hockey video game experience. Checking is the funnest part in the whole thing as it really feels substantial on the screen. Each hit feels huge and hits with guys that actually are big hitters, feels even better. Goal scoring is fun and you can still make some pretty great plays. The game feels great and is easy to play right off the bat (or stick as it may be...) my only complaint is that EA Sports didn't put out any additional hockey sticks to purchase on the release day of the game. but i won't bother putting a lower score for the game just because the company didn't fully understand that the game is best played with the hockey stick...

NHL Slapshot is a good game that brings hockey to your living room. I was impressed with responsiveness of the hockey stick when using wrist shots, backhands or slapshots. I even found myself lowering my shoulder to get around defenders in traffic.

It definitely translated hockey well to the Wii and have no complaints so far. I would give this a higher mark, but have yet to get too far into a season and Pee Wee to Pros mode.

If you're looking for a more realistic hockey game, this may not be for you. But control wise it's tons of fun and does make you feel like you are part of the game.

I enjoy hockey, but I'm not a stickler for a comprehensive GM mode like in baseball games. This game is a lot of fun, is challenging on the hardest skill levels, and peewee to pro is a unique game experience. The arenas are generic except for the logos on the ice. The player faces are generic, but the names are real. Commentary is average. Main thing is this game is a lot of fun and a challenge. If you're ok without the hardcore details of a hockey simulation then this game is definitely a must have.

NHL Slapshot is a great game whereby you can play pee wee, AHL, CHL & NHL. You can play mini games from a full NHL Season to playoffs. Everyone who has tried the game, however, has found that game play is best using the Wii remote & Nunchuk so I would certainly try the hockey stick as a controller before you purchase any additional sticks. This game has quickly become one of the family's favorite games on the Wii that everyone enjoys! You can play pee wee, bantam to the pros that includes slapshot games, mini games and you can play a whole NHL Season to the Playoffs. The only reason why I gave it a 4 star is that there could be improvements with the goalie control and there needs to be more variety from the announcers as the lines can become monotonous. You will certainly not be disappointed if you buy this game as it is a fun game for all ages!

Voodood is a young orc. He is wearing a dragon skull as a hat which he picked up when he went inside the Cave of trials. He also got the legendary Axe Reaver that was pierced through the dragon's heart.

Cons: Voodod is slow, even when he is wearing the bunny ears hat.

I got voodood for the normal price 7.99 but then it went up to almost 30 dollars which is more than you should be paying for 3 skylanders. He is a short range person his primary attack does 42 damage and his secondary attack does 30 damage. Don't buy this right now wait until the price goes down.

This is part of several Skylanders figures that we purchased and they are great. My son loves playing them on his PS3 and can interact with other figures

Honest reviews on Skylanders Spyro's Adventure Voodood

Every seller here is price gouging you. Your better off waiting until the initial popularity dies down and buying them for the original $7.97 price at wal-mart and various other places like Best buy or Target. Even Toys R' Us is only $9.99 every one of these retailers are rip off artists looking to steal your money. Even Drill Sergeant and Whirlwind are going to be released at the end of this month as part of a 3 pack in the states so they are no longer exclusive. So don't pay these prices. Boycott Amazon's price gouging and just be patient.

As for Voodood, I really love him. We bought him for 7.97 after christmas at the local wal-mart. His main ability is his axe swing and axe extend abilities. His axe extend can even hook to the environment to make up for his slow movement. His final attacks make magic tripwires. It's pretty cool lighting enemies up like that.
