I ordered this set for my boyfriend and I. We both have standard black Xbox controllers, so this made it easier for us to determine which one belonged to whom! They also provide comfort while playing, and they eliminate hand sweat too :P

It's an incredibly bare bones PC port. There's no online multiplayer to speak of, it requires tinkering with game files just to change the resolution, and if you don't have a controller to use for your PC then don't even bother playing it. Not to mention there are only 8 levels and you'll have played through them all in about 2 hours. It's a pretty meh PC port and it's clear that the developers didn't really care about porting it over which means you shouldn't care about playing it.

This game is a great blast to the past for anyone like me who grew up playing the first two (or three) games. All the old levels you know and love from the original and great music too (with some new tracks built in)

The graphics are nicely refreshed and enhanced without taking away from the old charm.

The one complaint I have? The controls cannot be customized. So when you go to use a controller, it doesn't match up with the way the controls used to be on the old PS1 system. This is really annoying and takes away from the experience. This is the main reason why I rated this game down.

Why don't you just allow your users to customize the controls to whatever you want? Heck you could do that in the 16 bit era for crying out loud. Why can't I customize it the way I want in 2013? Doesn't make any sense. Honestly I haven't played it much since because of this problem.

If you have never played these games before you probably wont care, but for anyone who grew up playing the old games, this might be a deal breaker for you.

Great to remember old times playing THPS to the old tunes that musicized my teens. Great fun, despite not having local multiplayer.

I really like that they chose to revamp a classic, but this was a bit disappointing for me. I won't go into too many specifics, but I will say that they haven't included a number of things from the classic and it lost a lot of it's feel. I think they could have added more and spent a bit more time on it to be honest. It's alright, but I grew bored of it pretty quickly.

First of all, I'll just state that I'm reviewing this based on the Xbox 360 version. I preordered FGN3 based on my enjoyment of FGN1 and downloading all of the games that didn't come on the disc, and I loved them all. But for Family Game Night 3 ("FGN3" from here on), if you loved all the previous games, you'll be disappointed with all five of these. Why? The previous ones were faithful reproductions of the games they were named after, and all of them added *options* to switch up the rules/game settings in case you wanted something a little bit different. Battleship, Yahtzee, Connect 4, etc., were all extremely fun to play alone or with friends. The games included in FGN3 are all unfortunately very disappointing, and none are faithful to the games they were based off of. Allow me to explain...

Twister: 0/10 -

The very worst of the bunch. It has *nothing* to do with the actual game Twister, and they merely decided to use the brand's name to increase sales. I was of course very confused and interested for how they could creatively transfer Twister to a video game. I imagined, maybe you'd get some crazy finger-twisting moves like "left thumb X button, right pinky left trigger", and so on, until a player failed to do whatever the game requested. Could you cheat at such a game? Sure, but I really think it could be a fun idea with a few friends who are actually playing by the rules. But instead, they didn't even attempt to make the game Twister-like.

You start by choosing a song, there are two songs to choose from in each category (Pop, Disco, Funk). Then, you'll see a button sequence come up that you're supposed to repeat. "A X B", then you hit "A X B" in rhythm of the music. Then you get a four-button sequence like "B B X Y", then five, then six, then the game is over. For anyone who has played a video game before in their life, these button sequences are all very easy and you'll get a perfect score every game, making any competition completely dull and end up in a tie.

Mousetrap: 0/10 -

Whether you're playing this with a friend or a computer player, the game is ultra tedious. In the real game, 90% of the fun of this game comes purely from building and setting off the mousetrap. The real mechanics of the gameplay were never very fun to begin with, so when you just watch a virtual mousetrap being made and set off, you take away the fun part of the game and the game you are left with is merely "roll the die, hope you don't land on the mousetrap." There is no depth to it. But the real tragedy of this game that made me give it a zero out of ten? Each time you "build" part of the trap, you have to take a two minute detour from the real game and play a super lame mini game. In the mini game, you try to build a network of pipes to route a ball through. How well you do determines how many trap pieces get placed on the board. This mini game is where you'll spend about 80% of total gameplay in Mousetrap, which is why I say this game is tedious. The only positive thing I can say about this game is I like the sneaky, mouse-like music.

The Game of Life: 6/10 -

This is one of the only reasons to buy FGN3. Though boring with computer players, the game can be fun to play with a friend. Unfortunately, as with all games in FGN3, this one also does not match the real-life board game. It's a lot closer than the others, but there are quite a few features thrown in that greatly hinder the game's enjoyment. For example, there are game spaces you can land on that let you sue another player for up to $100,000. The person getting sued has to waggle the control stick back and forth for like 20 seconds to argue his case to the "judge". The faster you do it, the more your bar gets filled up which indicates how successfully you're arguing. Even if you max out the bar, you still end up paying the other player like $15,000. There are many examples of additions like this that add nothing to the game other than being annoying. Every time a player gets married, you have to take a 5 minute detour from the game to play the "Twister" mini game (yes, the one I reviewed above). Again, another "feature" that slows down the game and is ultimately just annoying to wait for. Even if the player gets zero points on this Twister mini-game, you still have to pay them a $5,000 wedding gift ($15,000 for max ponits). It's game mechanics like that which make the already-boring mini-games even more pointless, because you feel like your score on the mini-game has such an immaterial impact on the game as a whole that you'd rather just skip it. Ignoring all the annoyances that were tacked-on to the original game, it's still fun to try fighting over the best careers, salaries, and houses and seeing who can amass more money over the course of their "Life".

Clue: 6/10 -

Again, the basic idea of the original game is here (find who the murder is, which room it happened in, and with what weapon), but the core of the game is significantly altered in a negative way. The way in which you play this game as opposed to the traditional Clue game, is by landing on question mark squares across the hallways of the Clue mansion. There really is no reason to even enter any of the rooms (you can, but it's strategically a bad idea with how the game is structured). When you land on a question mark square, you'll get "rumor points". Either it will just give you 1-3 points and end your turn, or it will make you play another (boring) mini-game to win from 1 to 3 points. Each time you get to six rumor points, you can make a mock-accusation and find out if any of your guesses for person, place, and weapon were correct. When you get them all right, you can make an official accusation in the poolroom to end the game. So this game has the potential to be sorta fun with a friend, but not half as fun as the real game, and you'll feel like you're missing the point of the game by only going around seeking question mark squares to land on.

Yahtzee Hands Down: 4/10 -

Card version of Yahtzee, only much less fun. You are forced to play with four players always, meaning you'll probably be with some lame computer players, because you'll have a hard time finding four human beings in the same room at the same time who are all going to be willing to play this with you. Basically, you get five cards (instead of using dice) and just try to get whatever the middle of the gameboard says to get. So if it says, "Four of a kind" you keep choosing cards to discard and redraw them each turn until someone gets four of a kind. But there is a time limit before the objective changes. So almost every time a Yahtzee card shows up, you'll have a lot of players get to 3 or 4 of a kind until the Yahtzee card expires then asks you to get a run of 4 instead. Frustrating.

As with previous FGN games, each game has a "remix" mode. I'll briefly go over each one.

Twister: Still the same exact boring game, don't bother with either version of this one.

Mousetrap: Although still not that fun, remix version is much better than the standard mode for this game, and you'll avoid the horribly tedious minigames that plagues the other version. The gameboard and layout are completely different. It's almost a whole new game.

Life: Instead of getting money, you'll get to move forward a certain amount spaces that corresponds with how much money you *would have* gotten in the standard version. The farthest person on the game board wins, instead of the person with the most money (there is no money at all in this version). Less fun that standard mode.

Clue: You'll have the same dice to see how far to move with each turn, but you'll also get to roll another die which does some dramatic things to the game to keep it interesting. Example: Someone gets killed by the murderer (removing that character from accusations of course), or getting to lock someone in a room for a turn. This mode can be fun, I'd play it about equally as much as the standard mode.

Yahtzee: Just alters the speed and flow of the game a bit, but neither mode for this game are really that fun anyway.

Conclusion -

Family Game Night 3 is a big disappointment if you loved any of the previous Family Game Night releases. It suffers from too dramatically altering the original gameplay of each game, with no options to play a more faithful remake of the original. If you're looking for a good casual/family game, I would highly recommend the original Family Game Night if you don't already have it. Otherwise, this one might be worth it when it hits the clearance bin in a few months (for under $20).

I have got all the Family Game Night games from XBL and have enjoyed most of them so this was a must. I had about 7 adults having a blast with Life. Clue was a little tricky at first but a lot of fun. The Remix is the best way to play. Twister was a little disappointing. It's more of a DDR type of game then Twister. Mouse Trap was a blast playing with 4. Remix was ok but original is better. Yahtzee hands Down is frustrating but a good frustrating if that makes sense. Overall at a $40 price its worth picking up if you're a fan of the series. Plus each game has a remix mode and some are really better then the original.

Mouse trap 7/10

I bought Family Game Night 3 to play with my wife. We tried all the included games and our favorite is The Yahtzee card game. The rest of the games are ok to play every once in a while, but not as fun as Yahtzee. The big let down of the game is the requirement to have a controller for each player. If you have more than 4 people in your family then someone is going to have to sit out.

Honest reviews on Hasbro Family Game Night 3 - Xbox 360

The only games of value are Clue and Life, otherwise the other three are not fun or enjoyable. You can't just start Yahtzee hands down and play straight away. The game makes you feel like you're rushed. Twister is not a game that translates well as a video game at all. Not worth playing at all. Mouse trap is very repetitive and just seems like there's no skill at all to play. Save your time and money and look elsewhere for a fun family game.

I'm not sure why this game is getting such bad reviews... My husband and 2 boys (ages 3 and 5) love this game. They mastered Mario Kart and this game was a no-brainer for them. They are all Jeep enthusiasts (inspired by Dad of course) so maybe that's part of why they love the game. The kids get a kick out of picking their Jeep style and color, and particularly like when the mud flings all over the screen. My 5 year old said it's just like going on the Jeep Jamboree in Vermont. For 20 bucks, this game rocks for the Jeep lover!!

This is a fun game, plain and simple. My son & I had a lot of enjoyment out of racing our Jeeps, and exploring the maps. The additions of side-paths, & short-cuts (along with hidden jumps, like the stairs!) lends a lot of replay to this title, along with a very approachable game-play.

Is this the best title out there? No. Is this the best racing game, even? No. Is this a fun game, that can be played by all ages? Yes.

In the end, doesn't it matter if you're having fun?

Final review: Fun for the family, probably not for the hard/medium-core gamer.

Best Deals for Jeep Thrills - Nintendo Wii

You control your jeep with the Wii mote turned sideways. The game is Wii Wheel compatible, which is what I use. The basic gameplay is: gas pedal, brake, steering, and turbos. Steering and turbos is where this game has problems, mainly the turbos.

Firstly the steering, the jeeps don't turn well and that part won't get any better by unlocking other ones, because you can already pick a jeep at the beginning that has 100% handling and the turning isn't great at all. It can be difficult to take some corners and will always decelerate, sometimes completely and causing you to wipeout.

Bringing me to the turbos which you can use as you brake the corners and regain speed by using them. The turbos are the green bars left-side of the screen, they will refill somewhat quickly and you can use a lot or a little by clicking the trigger button. It works similar to Mario Kart's mushroom, except it refills. You must use this very often, if you don't, you miss an opportunity by just letting your turbo boosts just sit idly full. When you initiate a turbo, the camera that follows your car switches views, and makes your car smaller and the screen moves a little faster on the edges. The camera view switch is extremely annoying. It takes away from the flow of racing and it makes it a lot harder to focus on the turns and obstacles in your path. And since you must use the turbos very often, your view will go from BIG, small, BIG, small, BIG, small, etc. You can't turn it off, the option's menu is useless, you can only view the credits or change the volume for sound FX and the music. This is the biggest turn off for me. It didn't bother me too much at first, but after a while when I had to use the turbos at more frequent intervals, I literally got headaches from playing. I quit, went back to the game and still got another headache after thinking maybe it wasn't the game's fault. This is unplayable for me, I've never got a headache from a game or rollercoaster. WAY TOO MUCH camera switching.

Obstacles are easy to crash into and other jeeps can really mess you up by ramming into you. Another annoying part of the game, when you get close to other jeeps it lags like the Matrix effect. By design or flaw, its irritating and takes away from the flow of the racing as well.

The "A" button respawns your jeep and when I found this out I knew it was not a good sign, because the game creators knew that there are spots you can get stuck and it is impossible to move anywhere and whenever I had to use this it was game over, too hard to catch back up. The camera view switches when you reverse so you view backwards, it's kind of annoying since most games don't do this, but just a minor annoyance since you don't reverse too often.

The graphics of the jeeps and environment/race tracks are good, the interface and menu design look unpolished and cheap. I liked some of the shortcuts, the best one was with a tunnel in a mountain you can go through and it exits abruptly so you fly through the air till you land on the road.

Another downside is that you must unlock multiplayer before you can play it and much of the content must be unlocked.

This game had potential with some cool ideas like the refillable turbos and shortcuts. However, it is unbearable because of the turbo-camera-switch. The bad steering and easy crashing don't help either. Ever hear of DSI before? I'll give you a hint, they make lousy games.

Honest reviews on Jeep Thrills - Nintendo Wii

Contrary to what some people say I think the handling is pretty accurate for driving a Jeep on rough terrain. That said, you'd better not make mistakes while you're racing if you're interested in moving your career forward.

It took me several races to get myself in the top 3 on the first track in the game. The AI is totally unforgiving, driving just a shade below professional seemingly all the time. Once I learned some little nuances (I love using the wheel, too many people just yank it around and expect results) and got better at sliding around turns, I started enjoying myself a lot more. Still, hitting something that makes you stop means you might as well just restart, you're almost guaranteed to finish dead last. Why can't your opponents hit some stuff?

There seems to be a lack of really good racing titles for the Wii, and this one probably adds to the problem. When we get MaterNational this one will probably gather dust, but for now I'll take it.

Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Jeep Thrills - Nintendo Wii

First let me say that I am a 55-year-old female who was racing against her (reckless) 61 year old brother and we had a blast! However, I may understand some of the negativity this game is getting regarding the handling of the Jeeps. In the beginning of the game you are only given a choice of 4 vehicles. (You earn more choices as you improve.) Directly under each selection there is information about each vehicle's speed and handling. As "we" have deciphered, it goes like this -

The Liberty is Good Steering and Good Speed. (steering diagram shows less bars Higher bars indicate looser steering)

The Renegade is Loose Steering and Good Speed. (steering diagram shows more bars)

The Commander is Fair Steering and Fair Speed.

The Gladiator is Loose Steering and Fair Speed.

(Now that is IF I wrote it all down correctly, but anyway, you get the idea.)

So, for those saying that the handling was terrible, they may have found it much more manageable with a different vehicle.

We had a lot of fun in the game "Competition/Valley of the Gods". The track will also allow you to go the wrong way which brought us more challenges by going head-on at each other and even coordinating jumps for near or mid-air crashes! Well, it's one of our favorite games however we also love the Wii Sports, Mario Cart and I am really enjoying the Wii Fitness. What can I say? Some people never grow up! (now if I just had a grandchild to play with me!!)

First of all, I own a Samsung LN46B550 46-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV (Samsung LN46B550 46-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV with Red Touch of Color) that I bought (used) in 2010 and which is pretty big, and this did fit perfectly. The mount width is adjustable and I did not have to go to the maximum width (I could have gone around half an inch wider), so I really think it should fit more screens.

The product is great and exactly what I was hoping for. I do have a Wii, a Move AND a Kinect, and I hated the fact that I had to put the Move and the Kinect on my TV stand at the bottom of the screen (the Wii sensor bar I had stuck on top of my TV). Now everything is up and looks tidy. There are little indents on top that ensure that the Kinect stays in place I had wondered about that when I first looked at the product because the Kinect camera moves quite a bit, but it's pretty secure. I am very happy with the product and I would recommend it make sure that you check the dimensions of your TV though just in case.

I was very excited when I first heard of this product. An all-in-one mount for my Kinect and Move. My excitement ended fairly soon after opening up the package, however. After a quick assessment, I realized this would not fit my TV. My TV is not a super-thin LCD, it's from 2007. I realized my TV, when I ordered this device, was bigger than the newer LCD TVs today, but I didn't think it would be too big. Sadly, I need this mount to open up another inch or so to fit my TV, so now I have to decide whether to try to mount this to the wall or return it.

UPDATE: I ended up mounting it to the wall behind the TV, and it works well for that purpose. I realize that I forgot to put depth of my TV in my previous review, which is 5". Also, At the time that I purchased this item, the description did not state that this item only opened up 4".

Best Deals for DreamGEAR TriMount for Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii

It's hard being a gamer who wants a neat TV console. Before I got the DreamGear Trimount, I would keep the PS3 eye on top of the TV as that was the sensor I used the most and placed the kinect sensor at my TV's base (even though that was a less than ideal location for the sensor to get my leg movements). The Wii sensor was always being tossed aside until I wanted to play a wiiU game (not very often), at which point I'd be fishing of it amongst the cluster of wires that reside behind the TV.

With the Trimount I can finally place all 3 bars on top of the TV where they function the best. I affixed the mount directly to the TV rather than drilling it into the wall, but it's nice to have both options. The correct way to place the 3 'eyes' on the mount is unintuitive, but not too hard to figure out, and once in place, they will not budge. Fixing it to the TV was as easy as tightening a screw and the included squishy cube was perfect to place between the screw and TV to ensure a snug fit. Overall the product is ugly but functional it's the only way I could find to mount all three sensors at the same time.

Honest reviews on DreamGEAR TriMount for Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii

It holds all 3 very well, none of them feel in danger of falling off. I have a very thin plasma TV and had to fiddle with the supplied foam inserts to make it lock in correctly, but once I found the right way to set the foam pads it tightened down and doesn't wobble a bit.

Upon first receiving this item, I noticed that the instructions for setting up this item were really user friendly. You can either set this up on top of your tv or mount it. I have decided to put my on top of my tv, for now... Its fairly easy to insert your kinect and playstation eye, as well as the wii sensor bar. The three peripherals all do indeed fit very well and snug, leaving no fear of the items falling off. I end my review by saying that if you want a 360 degree of the item just go to youtube and type dream gear trimount and you are set.

Fun and Frustrating...

This is only the 4th NBA 2K game I've played (2K, 2K1, 2K11 now 2K12). I haven't gone through everything in 2K12 but here are my impressions on what I've played so far...

I play My Player mode the most so I'll start off with that...

It's a lot easier to jump into than 2K11. You play 1 pre-draft game, not the 7 or so in 2K11 that you had to grind through.

You are interviewed by three different GM's and you can "pick" what team drafts you by answering negatively or positively. The questions themselves sound pretty realistic. I made a power forward and told the Rocket's GM I wasn't happy with being Scola's backup so they didn't draft me. I also turned down the 76ers but told the Wizards I'd like to be part of their young front court and got drafted by them. The minor downside is you don't know which three teams are going to be interviewing you, but it'd be silly if you were able to choose what teams to interview with. I also made a shooting guard and it seems the interview teams range from decent core of talent (suns, sixers) to rebuilding teams (wizards, pistons).

Draft night, you watch virtual David Stern announce all draft picks. You can't skip his announcements. If you're picked #21 you have to watch him announce #1-20, which sucks.

You start the NBA season and there are a few changes. You start out at a higher player rating than last year. I started at 62 while 2K11 had me start in the low 50's I think. You upgrade offensive and defensive attributes just like last year with the skill points earned in games. This year they also added an area to upgrade abilities, these would be the special moves you can do in the game (fade away, cross over, post hook shot, etc...) but they're ridiculously expensive. It costs ~10,000 sp to do an ability upgrade.

This year you can also buy stuff with the money you earn from your contract. You can buy additional skill points, increase the cap of your offensive/defensive attributes, but it's pricey. ($50K for 50 measly sp).

Post game conferences are the same. You're still ranked in league wide popularity, team chemistry and fan support but you can track where you stand in these categories. If you need a boost in these categories there's a menu where you can spend your money to host a b-ball camp (boost fan support), give to charity (boost league popularity), or host team parties (increase chemistry). I'm not sure if any of these actually affect anything though. Like will a high team chemistry score actually get you the ball more? Will low fan support mean the GM wants to ship you out?

Game play is still frustrating (in my player mode at least. I haven't played too many regular mode games)

a) The aggressive pass defense is back this year. It doesn't bug me too much cause I think I've just accepted that I need to be smarter about where I throw the ball to. Lead passing and Total control passing are back this year to help with that. But it's annoying seeing the CPU complete full court passes with no problem.

b) You're team mates are still idiots. Examples are taking dumb shots (shooting when double teamed, driving into a crowded paint and throw up an off balance shot) and standing with the ball as the shot clock counts down and either pass it to you with 5 seconds left or shoot from wherever they're standing at. Basically it feels like they all must have "F" ratings by the end of the game.

c) Moving around feels a bit smoother than last year. However you'll still get stuck to an opponent when you collide into them while trying to run past them and jumping to block is in slow motion (by the time I reach the peak of my jump the guy I was defending is already starting to run back on defense).

d) There are a lot more bounced foot animations and they happen pretty frequently. My PG tried to drive into a crowded lane and the ball bounced off someone's foot, I threw a fast break pass up the court and my teammate dropped the ball and it rolled off his foot.

e) A lot of attempted threes are made. Yes you can adjust sliders but I've always hated going through that trial and error process of finding the right settings.

f) The grade penalties are the same as last year (hogging the ball, call for bad pass, allow man to score, etc...) and they're as annoying as last year.

g) The typical 2K physics are still there and seem to be standard for the game. My teammate threw a bounce pass in the paint to the other big and in the replay you can see the ball actually travel through the defenders body.

h) Dynamic goals are new and they're basically impromptu goals given to you during the game. Some are easy (commit zero turnovers rest of the quarter) and others feel impossible (score next 10 points for your team) since they require you to demand the ball and the teammate won't give it to you.

i) I'm 11 games into the season and the past 2 or 3 games I'm starting to notice that my power forward keeps getting the ball stolen while posting up. I get the ball near the key, push Y to get to post up, as soon as I attempt to start backing down the big guarding me just swipes and picks the ball away. This has happened at least 4-5 times the last couple games, I hope this doesn't happen every game or else I'll need to start my player over with another position.

Greatest Players Mode

This mode has 15 different matchups between two classic NBA teams. You unlock these teams for normal play by winning these matchups. I'm glad they included even more legends (they went way back and included Bill Russell's Celtics and Wilt's Lakers) but there's not much to accomplish in this mode. It doesn't have any objectives like last year with Jordan where you had to repeat his famous moments. All you do is win and unlock the teams. Some probably like this better because some 2K11 Jordan achievements were a pain to accomplish (like 4 steals in his last bulls game). But it just feels like a step down from 2K11.

I gotta say the attention to detail on presentation is staggering. 2K made presentation to be true to the era that you're playing in. When playing as Russell's Celtics the game is shown in black and white, there's no 3 point line and jump ball happens every quarter. It's amazing how they tried to re-create 60's basketball.

The commentary is weird. Throughout the game you'll hear the commentators call the game but switch to recalling their favorite memories of the superstar. So when playing Bulls vs Hornets from '92 you'll hear commentary about the game in progress than they suddenly start reflecting back what a great player Jordan was in his time.

Online

Haven't tried any of it because servers were down this past weekend and didn't seem like it was anything 2K announced ahead of time, if you play online a lot than you'll probably be pissed cause the servers seem to be unstable again this year.

Training Camp for Controls

The 2K controls are infamously complex and take lots of practice. 2K added this training camp mode and I think it's a god send. The computer literally shows you how to pull off all the moves contained in the game. I found this insanely helpful because I never mastered the 2K11 controls. In 2K11 you'd get instructions of how to pull off a move but kind left to yourself to decide whether you actually did it correctly. The training camp presentation is pretty nice, a CPU controlled legend will demonstrate the move and have you control a current star and try to mimic the move.

Presentation

2K maintains their high standard here. Minor complaints would be I haven't found the classic Bulls Sirius entrance from last year (not sure if it's in 2K12 at all. The substitution windows still take up a good chunk of screen space but I haven't seen it block viewing the game after inbounding the ball. The slam cam replay comes up after a big play and I've turned off action replays in the options menu but the slam cam still pops up. The commentary is still great and sounds like a TV broadcast. You still get repeated lines but that's a minor point. One thing that I hated from 2K11 was if a ball rolled to mid-court, you had to wait for the ref to grab the ball, walk over to the end of the court and hand it to the guy inbounding the ball. You couldn't skip straight to the inbound pass. I haven't seen this yet & hoping it's not in 2K12.

To get the game or not, it depends on what you're looking for. Personally I was hoping for an improved My Player mode experience. I love the GM interviews, it's great you get drafted right away but the annoying game play quirks are still there. In the end I still like the game because of my player and I found 2K11 my player a lot more tolerable once you're player actually develops and starts putting up all star numbers.

But if you love playing online a lot you might want to wait a while `till the servers become more stable. If you're a casual sports gaming fan and didn't like 2K11 last year you'd probably give this a rental at best. If you're a hardcore NBA fan it's probably worth getting the game as there's no other option this year other than NBA Jam OFE. There so many modes to play that you'll probably be able to invest a lot of time into the game and get enjoyment out of it somewhere.

I just want to say, I had some reserves about this year's title. I liked last year's 2K11 but I could not seem to really get into the game much. Honestly, I think last year's version was more difficult overall. So far I have tried to unlock the Dr. J challenge and was unsuccessful...lol Even thought I didn't win to unlock his challenge it was still fun to play. Those old school players still "got game" they can ball. I had so much fun with the Legends and My Player modes that I haven't even touched the regular game modes yet. I have officially been drafted in My Player, I had a ball creating my players every nook and cranny...very detailed and so much fun. You can create your players complexion, height, weight, eye color, facial hair, muscular physique, tatoos, equipment ie braces, bands, headbands, socks and sneakers (name brand w/ player endorsed footwear) I have the 2011 Hyperdunks Gray/Black/Red. I was also able to create my players signature style and moves. After I did all of that, I was entered into a pre-draft all-star game being watched by NBA team scouts. I did pretty good 24pts.,(3)rebounds,(2)assists,(4)steals and(4)fouls...yikes. All of your stats are on the top right side of the screen so you can keep an eye on your progress and you also get graded A thru F. The commentators are hard on you if you mess up and will praise you to death if your doing well, they will make comments about if you are draft material or not. This game has a lot of pressure centered around it...all for the best I guess. After this game was over I had(3)interviews one with the Pacers, Suns and the 76ers. I was drafted round (1) pick 13 by the Phoenix Suns. You would have thought I was drafted in real life... it was so exciting. I could go on for ever about the fun I had playing in My Player mode.

I am not the greatest NBA 2K player by far, but now I have some motivation to go to the next level and try to get better and be competitive. I thought last year's 2K 11 was ground breaking, but the critics were right this game is by far the best game of all of the NBA 2K series. It makes you wonder what is in store for next year's edition. FYI, I read that because of the current NBA lockout; 2K Sports was forbidden to put any of the current NBA players on the cover of this year's edition (NBA 2K 12). Personally I like the Legends being on the covers. I like the fact that this year, you can choose (1) out of (3) Legends on your copy of the game, that is Michael Jordan, Larry Bird or Erving "Magic" Johnson. All and all this game is worth it to buy, I don't suggest you rent it because you will have to send it back, JUST BUY IT!!!

First of all , this is the best overall itteration of 2k yet. Yes, it is better than 2k11.I have been playing this game since dreamcast and have never left. This game has excellent, commentary, animation, immersion, and gameplay. The legends mode is fun also. Overall a very, very solid game. I will say that the online needs fixing. But we are reviewing the game at its core. Meaning can a person without internet access enjoy the game. The answer is yes. I also won't blame 2k for the lockout. They can't add certain things into the game until the lockout is resolved. To all the reviewers who give 1 and 3 stars. Sounds like a personal problem or you misled your own self because when I read your reviews, they are both petty and ridiculous. 2k has been talking about what will be in the game for half a year. So if you purchased it expecting to have nothing but Jordan challenges, the wnba, and an nfl combine mode , then you may need to stop playing games altogether. Awesome game. Better than 2k11. Learn to adjust and adapt. If you don't like it, go buy EA's new basketball game whenever it comes out.

Nba 2k12 is a great game overall. Some people are very harsh when it comes to judging video games. If you love basketball video games, your gonna like this. Some people like nba 2k11 better than 2k12. If you have nba 2k11 already, I suggest that you should get nba 2k12. If you dont like it you could always return it.

I purchased these Analog Sticks to replace the ones that were chewed up by my dog. I installed them on a Halo 3 Wireless controller. You can't tell that they're not made my Microsoft. They fix snugly and have the same texture as the original sticks. They are exactly the same. Would highly recommend to anyone that needs to replace damaged Analog sticks on their controller.

Just to let you know there are 2 sticks in one package. There was another reviewer that only got 1?? Idk whats up with that, I read that and bought 2 so now I have 4 sticks...They also come with a small "allen wrench shaped (L)" Screw driver for the controller. I didn't see that in any reviews or the product description and bought a screwdriver. It was only four dollars but I still didn't have to buy it. The sticks are nice and have nice grip and shape to them. They feel just like the ones stock from MS.

I play mostly shooters, MW2, Black Ops, Halo, etc. Its a little rough on controllers and even if you get refurbs they are $30 each. These, for a couple bucks, made my sloppy worn controller feel almost like new again. I assumed the mechanism in the controller wore out but it turns out that most of the wear seems to be these joysticks, I will buy these again when they wear out again.

FYI, amazon, this is NOT a video game so why am i rating the "fun" level>?

I got reaped off. I only got 2 thumbsticks and a L tool wrapt in plastic held togheter by tape nothing like the product shown in the picture...when i ask 4 my other 2 thumbsticks they ask me 4 a photo of the product which i send, that was about half a year ago...

if you play fifa or any other games that requires you to really push those analog sticks then don't buy this!

the first time i played with it, within 3 days i had to change it because the protective rubber slipped off into my hands. The next day the new one only lasted 3 hours because the rubber also slipped off in my hands. All 4 thumbstick rubber slipped off into my hands. Wouldn't recommend this to anyone!

I played FIFA 10 a lot and pre-ordered FIFA 11 to make sure that I would receive the game on its release date. I have already played dozens of matches in several different game modes and completed over 40% of the virtual pro accomplishments. Here's my take on FIFA 11:

NEW FEATURES:

Manager Mode and Be A Pro Seasons Mode from FIFA 10 have been combined into a new mode called Career Mode. Now you can choose to be the manager, to be a player, or to be a player/manager. This mode is simpler than last year's Manager Mode. Some of the features such as players scouting and stadium upgrades have been removed. In my opinion this takes away from the game's depth. I used to enjoy just playing as the manager and simming matches, but I don't think it will be as satisfying in FIFA 10.

Be a goalkeeper. Goalkeepers are now playable characters both offline and online. This adds a little more variety to the game, although playing against the computer can be fairly dull because the AI rarely threatens your net. In offline games, FIFA 11's solution to the boredom problem is to give you a little bit of control over the computer players on your team. You can follow them with an overhead ball camera and tell them where and when to pass. As for the online play, goalkeepers are both a blessing and a curse. A good goalie can help your team win, but a bad one can easily ruin your game by intentionally allowing the other team to score.

Personality +. Players now look and move more realistically, although this only really applies to big stars on major teams. All of the players on a team like Chelsea or Real Madrid look pretty authentic, but if you drop down to a lower league like MLS, you will find that there isn't nearly as much attention to detail. Players who would never attempt difficult skill moves in real life will be doing fancy tricks and step-overs.

GAMEPLAY:

The actual game is fun to play. The controls are very good and responsive. The players move around fluidly. Shooting is fairly precise, although the chip shot is practically worthless now due to complaints about the ease of chipping the keeper in FIFA 10. Goalie control is simple and intuitve. Passing is pretty easy once you get a feel for the system. The defensive AI is much tougher than in FIFA 10. They are better at tackling and much better at reading passing lines and intercepting the ball. On the other hand, the offensive AI is still completely terrible. The computer is awful at making runs, which results in lots of low-scoring games. Even on the high difficulties, it is easy to prevent the computer from scoring because they hold to the ball too long and they always try to do the same thing on offense: run along the wings and try to cross it in for a header. If you can stop that, they probably won't score. This makes defense too easy and it also makes offense too hard because your bone-headed AI teammates will rarely make smart runs or passes that help you score. Instead you pretty much have to do it all yourself. On a positive note, there are hundreds of teams to choose from. Some people have complained about the national teams, but all of the big ones are in there and even some small ones like Slovenia.

VIRTUAL PRO:

Like FIFA 10, FIFA 11 lets you create your own virtual pro for use in offline and online matches. This was one of my favorite features in last year's game and the virtual pro system has been streamlined a little bit for 2011. You can improve your player by achieving certain goals such as scoring 10 goals in your career. This year there are more accomplishments than in FIFA 10 and the system used to track your progress towards the accomplishments is a little more organized. Also, there is more customizability with your pro's attributes and position. For example, if you choose to make him a forward, you can make him a "finisher," "target man," or "creator." All three options will have a different effect on his attributes. This allows for greater flexibility and strategy. However, you can switch positions at any time between matches, so nothing you choose is permanent.

ONLINE:

This is the biggest problem with FIFA 11. As of right now, there are numerous bugs and glitches in the online play. The Pro Club system is particularly bad. Screens freeze while searching or loading matches. Players lag out in the middle of matches. Math histories sometimes disappear, erasing the result. It seems like EA did not even bother to test these modes because they have not been working very well. There is no excuse for a rich company like EA to release a major franchise game like FIFA in an unfinished state. Many people who bought the game feel outraged about this. My guess is that EA will probably fix these problems eventually, but right now the online modes do not all work smoothly.

OVERALL:

This is a fun game. Right now I'm rating it 3 stars because EA released it with broken online modes. However, if I EA can fix these problems then this game will improve to 4.5 stars in my estimation. The actual gameplay is pretty fun. The only major problem is with the online lag and bugs. For FIFA 12 I hope that EA will improve the computer AI because the CPU players are utterly inept at manufacturing offense and threatening the goal.

I am mainly interested in the Manager mode, so here are some quick observations:

Can play Manager mode as a Manager and player, as a player only or as a Manager only. You will need to play on Professional or higher, if you want to make it to the Leaderboards.

Manager mode is simplified quite a bit, but menus are much more cumbersome. Instead of simply playing the games, you now have a calendar mode, similar to the one in Forza 3. To get to the game, you have to let each day pass (smart way to hide the longer loading times). Maybe I'll get used to these menus, but for now, they seem too complicated.

Transfers: You have now a menu to sort by any criteria you want. You can find many top players from Day 1 (unlike Fifa 10), but you will no longer afford them easily. In Fifa 10, you would make an offer slightly higher and the deal would almost always get through. In Fifa 11, if the player plays in the main 11 team, many times you would need to make his club a top offer (up to twice the asking transfer price). Once the club agrees, the negotiation with the player is a separate step. Fabregas would have to wait I don't have enough money yet.

Some things seem to be out (or buried in some obscure menus???)no Scouting, Stadium Improvements, etc. Lots of options are in though how to set up the team, what strategies to use, etc. Some were already available in Fifa 10, but Fifa 11 gives us even more.

Gameplay: AI plays slightly better defense, long passes work better, dribbling is better. Shooting is not as spectacular as it was in Fifa 10, but maybe closer to reality. For a pure fun game, you may want to keep Fifa 10 around, because Fifa 11 is more tactical and scoring is not as easy as before.

Multiplayer: you will need to activate a unique code that comes with the game. If you buy a used game, double check with the seller to be sure they didn't use the code.

Graphics: seems to be the same engine, but the players definitely look better than in Fifa 10.

Bottom line different game from Fifa 10, but still fun. Should you buy this over Fifa 10? Fifa 10 is a pure fun, more arcade type of game. Fifa 11 is more of a sim and is more tactical. Both are great games and different enough to be worth owning.

Updated Feb 19th: I am removing one star from the rating, because as of mid-February, the rosters didn't get updated with the January transfers. In Manager mode, the game claims it checks for latest teams, yet still the old teams show up. Torres is still with Liverpool, Pienaar is not with Spurs, Dzeko is not under Man City, Suarez not with Liverpool, etc. This detracts from the game experience. For a game called Fifa 11, they should have 2011 teams. I will update rating if game gets patched.

the game is good and i feel it is the best soccer game out but it has it's problems. the bigest problem i have with the game is how unrealistic some of the gameplay is. for example it is so easy to score of crosses just cross the ball in and you got a great chance to score. also its way to easy to score goals and make passes and like alot of EA sports games it has alot of glitches and game freezes also beware if you buy the game used you will need to buy a online pass just to play online pass cost 10 dollars having said that i still preffer this over pro evo 2011

Honest reviews on FIFA Soccer 11 - Xbox 360

I have been playing FIFA for years now and have been thoroughly enjoying it all these years. I got this game on a release date delivery ( just like the years before). I play strictly offline and on Manager mode mostly. I have played through over 2 seasons now and here is my feedback on what i think of the game.

gameplay ai has gotten tougher, but sometimes you feel like the referee is working against you. free kicks are awarded to cpu on a 10 to 1 ratio. you find yourself playing conservative football for 90mins only to find that the ai gets in on a cheap header through a fk awarded in the 91st min.. manual passing seems to have gotten better and i thoroughly enjoy it. pressure from the cpu defenders seems to be excessive and they are on your face. you have 30 different skill moves to make but they wont leave space to do anything. most of the time the second you get the ball they are on your back or face to push you and get it away.. overall i feel that improvements were made but excessive agressive ai doesnt always feel realistic.

manager mode replaced by career mode with options to play as a player, manager & player manager. i have played as a manager, although the game doesnt crash like the previous years here are my gripes.. found a simple bug on a calendar, one would think after aug 12 would come sep 12 .. not in fifa aug 2012 is followed by sep 2011 and then oct 2011.. this is pretty basic and should not be seen in a title like fifa.. it takes a ton of time to simulate the days that you dont have a match and its boring to sit and watch it move through day after day..

graphics same as last year

sound same as last year no change..

i dont use the creation center, virtual pro and online so i wont write about it here..

having said all that i keep playing this stupid thing over and over again.. its frustrating when you get scored on in the 89th min.. but may because i have played the football games through years or lack of a better choice this disk still sits on my xbox and gets played every night.. i have not played the PES series for years now and i am not sure if i will be satisfied making the switch this year.. but for now i am hoping they would release a patch or 2 fix the obvious bugs.

I decided to wait a while before writing this review, knowing that by the time the review was written most of the people who wanted to buy this game had probably already done so. Still, I thought writing a review was important because I've reached the point where I have taken this game out of my Xbox and I'm no longer going to play it.

The first thing I noticed was how good the graphics are -it's really an incredible game to look at. Player faces are great, the stadiums which are included are great-looking, it really looks very, very good. Now the bad.

I spent most of my time playing this on career mode at the professional difficulty level. Here are some of the interesting things you'll notice (suffer through?) during game play:

Somehow defenders can come from behind a player sprinting with the ball in the other direction and steal the ball without any kind of slide and calmly head the other direction. As soon as they make contact, they have the ball. This makes break-away goals next to impossible, even with the fastest players in possession.

It's nearly impossible to score from the middle of the field due to the defenses habit of gang defending. As soon as I have the ball anywhere near the front of goal, at least two defenders will converge and steal the ball. Meanwhile, I can be practically attached to players all over the field without stealing it from them. I have given up a ton of goals where my defender was in the perfect position but it didn't matter. Extremely frustrating.

Heading the ball is a mystery to me. Because I can't score from the middle of the field, I decided to focus on crosses. Thing is, it seems to be random whether my player wins the cross and even more random whether the ball is on target. I have tried aiming everywhere, and the ball will still go into the crowd half the time. That's when I win it. My son counted in one game and I lost 12 headers in a row. Player skill level doesn't matter.

If you play career mode with MLS teams, there is no off-season transfer window because the game strictly adheres to European transfer rules. So the only time you can purchase/sell players in an MLS season is during the summer transfer window. And if you want to improve your team, it's best to buy players from your current league or a lower-tier league because no upper-tier player will play for your team, no matter how much you offer.

Turn off hand balls. You'll concede penalties in nearly every game otherwise. It's hard enough to play against better teams with just the fouls that are called when you're lucky enough to steal the ball.

This review is long enough so I've just included the things I found most frustrating. I could probably write a book. It's unfortunate to say but with each version of this game the graphics get better while the gameplay gets worse. I'm not sure what they can do to improve things, but EA needs to take a fresh look at this franchise.

I owned and played the heck out of the original Guitar Hero, and managed to get everyone I knew into it. Yet for some reason I skipped GH2 when it first came out, and didn't return to the series until GH3. I was very disappointed in GH3, but when I saw GH2 on sale for the new 360 I bought it and fell in love with the series again.

As a sequel GH2 picks up and improves upon almost every aspect of the original. Co-op mode was a great idea, and there's a better mix of genre/decade songs than the original. The game offers a few genuinely challenging songs and is for the most part more difficult than the original. However for those, like me, who played GH3 first and wanted to try something else in the series GH2 is a lot easier. That's not a bad thing at times it felt like GH3 was artificially adding button combinations or notes in order to ramp up the difficulty. To put it shortly, GH2 is an improvement in gameplay (as much as rhythm based games can be different) from both its predecessor and its first successor.

However, since we're comparing the game to its sequel, the most painfully obvious difference is the lack of master tracks. The covers aren't terrible but the fact that there aren't more original recordings is pretty disappointing. For some this won't make the least bit of difference, for others it can be jarring. It all boils down to how you feel about covers in general. Another potential fault is the DLC area. The tracks you can download are a bit pricey, but if you're willing to pay they definitely help prolong the experience.

GH2 is still my favorite of the original three GH games. It has a great mix of music, it just "feels" a lot smoother than its sequel, and the new multiplayer mode definitely adds a lot more to the series. If you enjoyed GH3 and are looking for more, if you love the guitar experience on full band games, or if you want to get into the genre with no background experience I highly recommend you check out GH2.

Plus, who can argue with a game that has a SPINAL TAP song on it?

I bought Guitar Hero 2 originally for Playstation 2 when it first came out and then it out later for Xbox 360 so I bought this game also because it had better graphics and some extra songs. This game is really fun I can play it for hours and not get bored of it.I play it on medium because I find it difficult to press the orange button on hard mode. This game has a lot of great songs, but not all of the songs are good, some of the cover songs are not done very well like "Killing In The Name","Them Bones",and "Institutionalized". Besides the covered songs the rest of the game is fun and I think this game has better songs than Guitar Hero 3. This game has a unlockable songs, costumes, and guitars. My guitar that came with X-plorer guitar which is my favorite guitar,I own the Les Paul guitar and its not as comfortable.I do think that these games should have more newer bands like Chevelle,Three Days Grace,Breaking Benjamin, and Bullet For My Valentine.

My favorite songs are "Freebird","Crazy On You","Them Bones"and "Laid To Rest".

Pros: 70 songs,unlockable costumes,comfortable guitar,hours of fun,difficult on hard and expert modes,improved graphics

Cons: should of got newer bands, covered songs

so price wise, it is well worth the money because it definitely saves you money..

Disney Cars

My kids like this game, but its definitely not a teen or adult racing game..wouldnt recommend it for teens or adults

Open Season

Fun adventure game..probably for 7/8 years and up

Well, this is a value pack that everyone should pick up. While not one of these games maybe great they are all decent and for kids it is great. Will keep them busy and entertained for a while. I got this for 19.99 so I only paid like 6.33 a game that is cheaper than you can rent them for. Even at normal price it is only 10 per game. While Cars and Open season are both movie based games they are pretty simple in play, but that does not make them bad either. They are enjoyable. I personally was more looking for Fusion Frenzy 2 and I knew going in that this is not a great game, but it is a party game, meaning a collection of mini-games. It was not put together to great but it is decent.

My 6 and 9 yr old boys got this for Christmas. They have enjoyed the racing game, but only played the other games for a little while--I think they got bored (compared with Madden 08, which the 9-yr old got as well). All 3 were easy for the younger one to learn, so I'd recommend these for younger players.

No real big changes, so why go out and buy it EVERY year! I realized years ago that they are only interested in MONEY, which would be fine with me if they gave you something for your money! Now, it's about nickle and diming loyal customers to death instead of giving the customer their moneys worth!

Since the game engine is the same year after year after year.... just show a little self control and stay a year behind! In this way, you will only be paying $20 for updated rosters and minor presentation changes instead of $60! The game will still be new to you and you wont be rewarding EA for screwing you! In addition to basically selling you last years game for full price, they are now charging you extra for features that should be included in the first place! Why in the world would anyone even consider rewarding EA for their corrupt and greedy treatment of their loyal customer base and what makes anyone think that they wont continue to take advantage as long as we are willing victims?!

I have been playing video games since NES and had no problem shelling out $60 for games since the early 90's, but I will not reward EA or any company for laziness and greed. When they give me a sports game that's worth $60 I will gladly pay it like I always have. That means a truly new game with a new engine...not a 5 year old game with token changes and updated rosters. As long as they continue to do this, I will continue to buy 1 year behind as I do with ALL of their sports games! I just bought Madden 11 and for $17 brand new...I have no reason to complain no matter what I think! When they finally change the game engine and produce a truly new and better Madden or ANY GAME for that matter, I will be first in line with my $60 as I always have! If everyone did this, they would have no choice but to do what they should have been doing all along...giving their loyal customers their money's worth, instead of taking advantage of them!

If you've never owned a Madden game before in your life, then welcome to the world of console football--have a great time.

If you've owned a Madden game since the Xbox 360 debuted, then expect more of the same (or less?) in this iteration.

The Madden franchise keeps evolving, just not in a constructive way. Rather than adding meaningful features or improving the realism, the primary focus seems to be keeping the cash cow mooing. And not just by selling a new version at full price each year--instead, you can:

* Buy a Limited Edition Set with a Collectible cardboard insert! (+$20)

* Buy some Legendary players for a new pay-to-play mode! (+$7)

* Buy some coins for buying stuff in-game! (+$Limitless)

* Buy some more Legendary players! (+$7)

* Buy some EA Season Pass! (+$20?)

* Buy the right to play online if you rented the game! (+$10?)

* Buy some more Legendary players! (+$7)

So, it's no shock that the paradigm of EA games is bending toward building revenue after the initial purchase...we all know and expect that nowadays. But it seems like they're literally stripping more and more out of the game in order to make it an add-on that you have to buy. It's getting insulting and just plain silly...or perhaps just ridiculous.

A lot of the 'professional' reviewers go into the details of what has been neglected in Madden over the years, and I believe they're actually pretty generous with the provision of an average score of around 7/10. Or maybe I just have a bias since I'm feeling extra-insulted by the blatant mooing of the cash cow throughout the entire game.

Best Deals for Madden NFL 12 - Hall of Fame Edition

I pre ordered the special edition being a huge Madden fan and slightly disliked the 2011 Madden I was rather looking forward to Madden 2012 and its so called improvements. I enjoy the game simply because as said before I am a huge Madden fan, but to pay as much as I did for the special edition was a mistake I cant take back, i would have rather waited for the price to go down. I feel as if the creators made it "newb" friendly online. I could intercepts balls with my eyes closed in this, running the ball is a joke of ease and you can pretty much pick between a few defenses and tear apart offenses. I have played close to 100 games online and just cant seem to keep my interest, and if you think a hundred games is alot, trust me, for as long as it has been out its not. Maybe I'm just lucky and get matched against people who are just not good, overall though I just wasnt satisfied with the game as a whole. Better luck next year.

Honest reviews on Madden NFL 12 - Hall of Fame Edition

Love the game, they have improved on the best selling game yet again. The online multiplayer is better than ever and easier to operate. The Madden Moments Live mode is one of my favorites; playing a few select drives from the previous weeks NFL games to decide a new outcome. They kept adding new games all the way to, and including, the Super Bowl game.

Bought this game for our son and he loves it. Graphics look good and he enjoys the game. We haven't had the original version so I can't speak as to the superiority of the "hall of fame" version.

I have been playing Forza for a few years (since Forza 2) and lately I had been getting fed up with the choppiness that came with using a joystick for steering, so I decided to look around for an XBOX360-compatible racing wheel. I remembered using a really nice Logitech force feedback wheel on the PC with Richard Burns Rally and have been chasing that gaming experience ever since. To my dismay, I found out Logitech isn't licensed to sell racing wheels for the 360, that the only (real) choices were the finicky (and expensive/hard to find) official XBOX racing wheel w/un-tunable force feeback, the super expensive Fanatic Porsche-licensed wheel, and this very basic MadCatz wireless wheel with no feedback at all. Needless to say, I couldn't justify spending more than $130 on a "toy", so I took my chances with this MadCatz wheel...

...When it showed up, I was impressed with the build quality. The wheel has a nice weight/diameter/thickness to it with good rubber grips, and the pedals emulate standard auto pedals instead of being floor-mounted. The sequential stick shifter is a joke (in my opinion), the throw isn't straight forward and back (I), instead it's at an angle like / or \ depending on if you're shifting left or right handed, luckily the paddle shifters work well. The pedal mount assembly is nice and resists slipping on carpet, but the gas and brake pedals are too far apart. Also, I wish the brake pedal was stiffer than the throttle, but it's still stiff enough to modulate without anti-lock brakes. I expected the driving experience without any feedback to feel very numb, but the clock-spring in the steering wheel offers enough resistance to give a good (semi-arcade) feel. I have it mounted to a small writing desk in front of my couch, which is PERFECT, but I would assume the leg mounts (with nice rubber grips) would be enough to keep the wheel planted in your lap through the tight apexes.

Overall, I'd give this racing wheel a 3/5 or 7/10. It's obviously not up to Fanatic standards, but it's also not even half as expensive. If you play Forza or any other driving games, you need a wheel. If you can't justify spending an arm and a leg on gaming accessories, this is the wheel to get.

Pros:

-It's a racing wheel!

-It's XBOX licensed so the center X (dashboard) button still works.

-Controls work smoothly, no excessive dead spots or grittiness.

-Good design.

Cons:

-No feedback of any sort.

-Iffy stick sifter.

-Pedals are too far apart (requiring left-foot braking).

I am a 53 years old guy, it seems very old to be playing video games but let me tell you something. after the wheel was here, I spent 20 dollars on making a wood stand for it to drive more comfortably and got a used Forzamotorsport video game and let me tell you all this is more adictive than heroine, I just can't stop racing around Hockenheim, Atlanta, indy etc. there must be an AA for this game!!!!!

Best Deals for Xbox 360 Wireless Racing Wheel

My love of racing games and the upcoming release of Forza 4 made me decided to pick up an XBOX 360 since it may be a long time before the next version of Gran Turismo comes out. I'm not hardcore enough where I need a cockpit or hyper expensive wheel. I use a Logitech Playstation 3 Driving Force Wireless Force Feedback Wheel that sits in your lap and wanted to find the same for my new XBOX. Now MadCatz puts out some pretty poorly reviewed cheap accessories. But I went with the good reviews here and on the forum at GT Planet (which surprisingly has a Forza section). The wheel is well made. I believe its plastic over steel, so it feels very sturdy, much more then my Logitech wheel. Although it doesn't have force feedback, which I thought I would miss, there is enough tension on the wheel that I really don't miss it. For $100 more, MadCatz will have a force feedback version out around when Forza 4 is released in October. The only issue I have is that it sometimes needs to be resynched with the console. That may be because we have more then 1 XBOX in the house. Anyway, I like it so much, I am buying Xbox versions of my racing games I have on PS3, GRID, Need For Speed, Shift 2 Unleashed to go with Xbox exclusives NEW Forza 3 Ultimate X360 (Videogame Software)Test Drive Unlimited 2 and Project Gotham Racing 4.

Pros

Realistic feeling steering wheel

sturdy

Includes pedals

Includes clamp for connecting to a table

Long batter life.

Cons

The wheel, since it ships with pedals (which I don't use) maps the paddles as buttons. This means if you use the paddles as pedals, you can't do that for some games like Test Drive Unlimited since it doesn't allow customization of the buttons.

Sometimes won't link up with the console.

Price is a little high

The lap pads are a little sharp on the corners

Neutral

No force feedback (that would have been a negative but after using this wheel, its not as big a deal as I thought it would be)

Honest reviews on Xbox 360 Wireless Racing Wheel

*I have made some changes and updates to my review*

Pros:

Quality-The wheel feels good but the rest comes off as toyish. There is some weight on the wheel that makes it feel solid and sturdy.

Wireless-Only one wire to the pedals. Easy to put up and put away. There is a 5v 1 amp jack for an ac adapter. The description says that it is included but it is NOT. The batteries does have an okay life IF you don't use it all the time.

Steering-Although no vibration or force feedback, it still feels better than any other wheel with no force feedback. I prefer this over certain games like arcade racers or for drifting. By the way, always dial-in the dead-zone if you can. Racers like Forza or Shift (especially) needs some adjustments.

Design-The wheel looks sharp. Madcatz has come a long way compared to their other wheels. One of the better looking wheels in my opinion. The pedals are toy looking and feel cheap and bulky though. They should have put more effort into them. Waste of plastic. They do work fine though.

Table/desk clamp-Very important to have. Should be mandatory for all wheels. The clamp mounts the wheel very solidly. World's better than sitting it on your lap. For the best experience you don't put a wheel on your lap. Get a cheap desk, table, chair, etc. Better yet, build or buy a cockpit if you can. One obstacle would possibly be the center clamp. It only clamps in the middle and hangs down between your legs. This design can get in the way of your legs and cockpits that are designed with a center post wheel mounting plate. It will not work or you will need to fabricate something. A good design would be something like Logitech. There are two clamps on each side and is low profile and can be mounted on any cockpit out there.

Shifting options-Paddles feels good and it is nice to have an option for left or right handed shifting. Great to simulate any car you're driving. It is responsive. There is no 'click' sound when shifting and that is what people will usually prefer.

Mounting holes-It is there if you want to hard mount it. No need to drill into the equipment. The odd thing is the screws will be at an angle and not level when mounting to the wheel. You would actually be using the mounts that are made for the lap mounts. It will still get the job done. Just don't over tighten. There are four screw mounting locations to the wheel and four to the pedals. The pedal mounts are on the removable foot rest itself. That definitely will not give you a solid mount. Hard mounting would require to drill the pedal base and add a nut inside the pedals and then bolt it up.

Cons:

No force or vibration feedback-Makes the racing experience numb. I own a Microsoft force feedback wheel, Logitech Driving Force GT, and tried a Fanatec CSR Elite. It is kind of hard to go back to a wheel with no feedback whatsoever. In some games I do prefer without force feedback. This is something that I don't really have a problem living with. At least a vibration would nice. But it is still better than a controller for most racers. A good sound system or headphone could compensate it a bit. A tactile transducer would even be better too.

Pedals-It would be great if the gas and brake was just a bit closer. I am a size nine and have already adapted. When they sit on a flat surface the angle is almost horizontal. For a good position they need to be at an angle. It wouldn't take too much effort to address those issues. Everything on the pedals is cheap. So much plastic and the feel is generic. They don't even look nice. It is a waste and looks like it came from their parts bin made for a different product. It is cheesy and goofy. As I said before, they do work fine.

*edit* I have switched the pedals out to an old Thrustmaster Nascar pedals. All you do is just swap out the wires and solder them to the pots the same way like it was in Madcatz pedals. The travel is exactly the same. They feel and look better. Huge improvement for me. The old ones was just an eyesore.

No click when shifting-A little click would be good to have when changing gears. It can also come off as a bit mushy since it makes no sound at all. But so far the gear changing has caused no problems and never had skipped a shift. Maybe the only good thing is no one around you would be bothered by the constant clicking sound. I do believe that they went with this route was because of using cheaper switches.

Cost-This should be $115 tops. I paid $130 when they were first released here. Now these are going for $160? That is ridiculous. If you want force feedback then pick up a used MS wheel $50-100. Or save money for a low-end Fanatec (new or used). If you don't care about the lack of force or vibration then this wheel would probably be the best. Usually wheels that offer no feedback or vibration are also very poorly built.

Reliability-Had it for almost a year and then the D-pad crapped out. Keep your receipts! I feel that the wheel they replaced it with could possibly be more reliable from the one first one I bought. The pedal attachment foot rest is different. It has a plastic lip (flange?) in the opening. The color looks slightly different. The wheel was purchased shortly after the release the states. Hopefully my replacement wheel is improved over the 1 batches they made.

No power supply adapter included-They need to change their description! It will save you money on batteries for the long run if you use it all the time.

I can only recommend the wheel if you don't mind the lack of vibration or force feedback. My wheel and pedals is now properly mounted to a cockpit and I can tell you that it is sweet. It makes it that much better. Before it was mounted to a desk. But the price too high in my opinion. You can purchase second hand but then you will have to gamble it's reliability. Buying new at least you have 2 years.

I bought this wheel to use with Forza 3 and to try and get used to a wheel before Forza 4 comes out.

After considering the much more expensive version of this with Force Feedback and even the much much more expensive Fantec CSR wheel and pedals.

I chose this one because of the other good reviews here and because it came with a 2 year warranty, a HUGE deal for me. Warranty's have saved my skin more than once from defective products.

I was very surprised to feel this wheel out. It's build quality is much better than expected.

PROS:

Relevantly inexpensive for the quality.

Good heavy weight.

Comes with a table clamp and rubbery, leg things to place it on your lap.

Good rubbery grip.

No creeks or squeaks, very quiet.

CONS:

No feedback at all.

Pedals are a little too far apart.
