Best Dig Dug 2: Trouble in Paradise Deals
When I saw that this game was available,I just had to have it. I played it years ago and couldn't put it down. It is far better than the original "Dig dug"... as you can conquer an onslaught of enemies at will by removing island masses.

Saltwater Sport Fishing Reviews
This is an exalent fishing game. I "caught" on really fast. A tip for the first timers, look for the yellow arrows and press them with the d-pad when reeling the fish in. If you are can't figure out how to set the hook, check the fish info (It also tells you where to find them, with temp and depth. That is also shown on your radar.). Anyways this is an suberb fishing games for game freaks (like me) or real fisherman (also like me).

Got this game today; grandson LOVES it and he's played numerous fishing games so far. Fish are a real challenge; numerous locations so your not stuck in one or two boxed-in corners. Graphics are realistic for the most part. Also, you get a choice of numerous species of fish to hunt down....really a fun game!Best Deals for Saltwater Sport Fishing

Rock Band 3 Wireless Keyboard for Xbox 360 Review

I will kinda cut the actual Rock Band 3 part of this thing out, because the focus here is on the instrument, the 360 version specifically. I'll just say that it does its job perfectly fine with the game and move along.
So, on to the actual keyboard. Anyone who's ever spent ten seconds messing around with one will either know or secretly understand there are usually two things about keyboards when it comes to their construction: the keys have a certain weight to them, and the instrument is usually solidly built (not plastic-y). The MadCatz keyboard fits both of those roles perfectly. It does NOT feel like the vast majority of the other Rock Band 3 instruments, namely the guitar: thin, hollow plastic things which feel like you could snap them over your knee. No, this cat is pretty solid and feels like it could take a battering if need be. The keys have a natural weighted feel and respond just as they should, but with a single addition of ridges over the left ends of some, likely to help newbies with the game align their fingers with the colored sections without having to look down...as much.
If I've given the impression that this thing has a built-in speaker, think otherwise. And Rock Band 3 doesn't, as far as I can remember, have a freestyle mode to let you play whatever on the keys. But, this does come with a 5-pin MIDI outlet, and all of its buttons and keys and I'm pretty sure literally ALL of them, even the touch strip are programmed for use with MIDI software. This puts it further into something more of an actual instrument than just a game controller.
It makes for a compact, fairly versatile item, albeit for the niche market of music gamers and creative keyboardists. As for its interplay with Rock Band 3, there's no real need to mention it here other than it works, because anything deeper is on the game side, which I'll save for a review of it rather than this peripheral.
The real problem with it is not in the hardware, but in the game itself. You'll find that the disc only has 63 songs with keys out of the 83, and at least 6 of those 63 tracks aren't really worth playing, unless you enjoy hitting 5 notes and then playing nothing for half the song. The songs that do have a reasonable amount of keys, however, are incredibly fun on both standard and pro, and certainly makes the purchase worthwhile. Additionally, downloadable songs will come with keyboard parts when there is one in the song, so you'll quickly be able to add to the small library of key songs.
The pro keyboard mode works very nicely, offering a nice extra challenge on top of the standard instruments for those who want it, and you may even learn a few things from doing it. My only complaint here being that, in practice mode, you can only slow down to 60%, which is still to fast to properly learn some of the more complex songs like Roundabout.
Overall, the keyboard is a really nice instrument and a nice addition to Rock Band.
Pros:
1) The keys are spaced out pretty much like a regular keyboard, and there's a strap if you want to use it as a keytar.
2) Its pretty easy on battery life and there are normal AXYB buttons on the pad, unlike the old RB guitars, to allow easier navigation.
3) Sits pretty comfortable in the lap on a couch too if you prefer not to use the strap, or if you have a stand.
Cons:
1) The keys are REALLY sensitive. You've got to get in the habit of not resting any weight on the keys because it'll set off a press which can screw up a combo sometimes.
2) You only play with 1 hand. 2 hand play can be done but because of the size of the piano, its kinda awkward, and when the key segments shift in game, it takes some practice to learn where to replace the hands.
3) For non pro-mode keyboarding, the 5 keys to play are hard to find at first because there are 2 sets of color coordination on the board itself. Smaller color codes are right above the keys, under the large color boards, showing where to play.
All in all, its fun to play, as Rock Band has been since it came out and the keyboard adds a little more flavor to a pretty immersive game already.
First off, unlike the mustang guitar, this doesn't feel cheap. The keys have a nice feel to them. The instrument itself also has nice weight that feels snug in my lap, but I can also pass it over to any nearby person by the "neck" without arm strain. It works as designed with the XBox and in Rock Band itself.
It takes a little while to get used to the Rock Band tablature. The trainers are pretty horrific. They don't explain much of anything such as it is only designed for one hand. That said, it is still pretty awesome to jam out with friends. Overdrive works by pressing a button and the touch sensor makes audio distorting pretty fun (I couldn't stand the whammy bar on the guitars). On easy and medium songs, I found I could laze back in my couch when playing, but once I hit the hard songs with the keyboard shifts, I needed to sit up and maintain good posture.
The instrument really shined for me when I bought a midi-to-usb converter. I'm currently doing eMedia's piano teaching software (which is pretty awesome) and the keytar makes for a wonderful practice tool. I'm able to play it through the computer with the software, enabling it to watch my playing and provide feedback. I'm also able to practice when I take a break from work. I just plop it on my desk, fire up my piano trainer, then play along for ten or so minutes. After which, I return to work feeling refreshed.
This is so much more than a game controller and definitely worth every cent. And hey, if you play at work like I do, maybe your co-workers will appreciate it as well (probably not, but you can still hope)

Being a piano player for the last 30 years and finding that most rock bands don't have a place for piano players, I was really excited for Rock Band 3 to come out! But then my excitement turned to frustration when I tried to play the pro keyboard setting, and here's why. You have to learn how to read music all over again using Rock Band 3's vertical scrolling-style, and the lines and spaces are so close together that even though the notes are color-coded white and black it's still hard to read on a regular TV screen. Plus the game puts symbols over the special bonus-point notes, and then it's impossible to tell if they're white or black. If they had just put the keyboard part scrolling horizontally across the top of the screen as they do for vocals, and using real ledger lines and notes, this would have been a pianist's dream! As it is, you feel like a 5-year old learning piano for the first time with music as a foreign language. I switched over to the regular keyboard setting within 48 hours and haven't looked back.Honest reviews on Rock Band 3 Wireless Keyboard for Xbox 360

Honestly .. I had no expectations when I bought this. My worst fear was that I would use it with Rock Band 3 before it would be retired to the corner of the room reserved for the plastic guitars. Never did I dream that I would be using it even when my XBox was sent to the shop for repairs. I use this instrument every single day.First off, unlike the mustang guitar, this doesn't feel cheap. The keys have a nice feel to them. The instrument itself also has nice weight that feels snug in my lap, but I can also pass it over to any nearby person by the "neck" without arm strain. Best SMK-Link PS3 Blu-Link Universal Remote Control Deals

Before I get into my thoughts on the Blu-Link remote, I'll start by saying that I've purchased and returned two Logitech Harmony universal remotes. The Harmony Xbox 360 remote and the almighty Harmony One to be precise. These are the only products I've ever returned on Amazon.com. They were nice enough remotes to look at, and the computerized setup was convenient. I just couldn't get past the delay in button presses. No matter how you set the inter-device or inter-key delay for the remote, there is a noticeable delay between pressing a button and seeing the result. (For example: Holding down the volume button for an A/V receiver for a few seconds would result in about 3-4 extra commands after you let go of the button. Annoying) I am far from the only user to be bothered by this, as a quick Google search can yield innumerable results on the topic.
The Blu-Link remote doesn't have a computerized setup, a display, or a charging station. I give it 5 stars nonetheless. It does what it's supposed to do, and does it at a reasonable price. Using the supplied codes, I had my PS3, Samsung TV, Onkyo A/V receiver, and DirecTV HD-DVR up and running MOST of the way within a couple of minutes. I then spent 5, count 'em, 5 minutes using the remote's "learning" feature to fill in the remaining functionality. Notably, I ran into the same problem that another reviewer had with my A/V receiver, in that it would power it on, but not off. Teaching the Blu-Link the Onkyo remote's power code directly alleviated this problem. Various other commands were learned from my old Onkyo remote, but the DVR and TV were good to go using only the supplied codes. The volume master feature works as it should, sending all volume commands to the AUX input, the Onkyo receiver. The manual also explains how to set up a master volume device, but to also be able to control the TV's volume when you're on the TV input. (I mention this after seeing another reviewer's frustration with trying to do that)
Now, for the reason I was so excited about this remote in the first place: The ability to control the PS3. I can tell you that it works flawlessly. Power on, power off, video/music playback, menu navigation, just about everything you can do with the PS3 controller can be done with the Blu-Link remote. To power on, you simply hit the PS3 input selector. To power off, you hold the "Home" button, just like you would on a PS3 controller, and select "Power off device". Simple! The only ommission I've seen is the lack of "L" and "R" buttons. The only use I would have for them is webpage back/forward keys, (which is still easily done by hitting "triangle" and selecting it from the menu) but since I don't do much web browsing on the PS3 it's not a big deal.
The finish of the remote is very attractive, and I find the button layout to be very comfortable. Be aware that the buttons are quite small, namely the number keys and transport buttons. (FF, RW, etc.) Those with large hands may have problems.
I spent less than 10 minutes setting up this remote to control all of my components, and have been loving it in the time since. Yes, I have to manually adjust inputs when watching a movie instead of hitting a singular "Activity" key, but I also don't have to deal with the delays present in Logitech remotes. The PS3 control is fantastic, and you can get the Blu-Link remote for $10 less than the price of the Logitech PS3 adapter alone!
If you're unhappy with Harmony remotes, and you're a PS3 owner, this is a no-brainer. Buy it now!
I bought this remote a year ago, but it didn't do its job well for more than six months. It continued to function as a universal remote, but the bluetooth became so spotty to the point of worthlessness. It wouldn't remain connected to the PS3 for more than 10 seconds, so it would connect and I'd have to quickly scroll through menus before it'd disconnect. Then I'd wait another 10 seconds for it to reconnect and I'd start the mad shuffle again. Not a fun way to live life. I tried calling and emailing customer support on many occasions, but they've gone dark. So, I got a Harmony remote with their bluetooth adapter and haven't looked back. It's a far more expensive option, but I've had no difficulties with it, and I'm pretty sure Logitech will answer my calls. I don't like saying it, but I recommend looking elsewhere for your PS3 controlling needs.
Original:
I really want to love this remote, and I almost do. There's just a few kinks that I'm really having a hard time living with. Let me break down my loves and hates:
Love:
Almost eliminates 6 remotes/controllers (the "almost" is explained below)
"Teaching" commands is a breeze
Has a wide variety of buttons so I can logically assign buttons
Feels good in my hand (I don't think the buttons are too small, and I have normal sized guy hands)
Hate:
Only 50 programmable commands, globally. This means you can only "teach" the remote 50 new things across all devices. I ran out before I even got to my receiver's remote, so I've had to go back and pick and choose which commands I'll actually need regularly.
If you leave the remote in PS3 mode for a long time (60 minutes?) it will stop controlling the PS3 until you turn the PS3 off/back on. I re-paired, too, but I don't know if that's a necessary step all of the time.
As to my first complaint, I called the company's support number and talked to the fella there (very nice guy) and he confirmed that there are only 50 programmable commands. I asked him if I could request a feature and that it be more memory for the next model. Perhaps if enough people request it we'll get our wish. The company's site .
For my second complaint, I recommend doing what you have to in PS3 (Bluetooth) mode and then change to some other mode. The Bluetooth probably just goes to sleep to conserve battery power, but it's very frustrating. So switch modes and I think everything will be okay.
Overall, I really do like this remote because it's one-of-a-kind. Why hasn't anyone else thought of making a IR/Bluetooth remote? Who knows. But they haven't, so this is the best there is for now. It's definitely first-gen, but a great attempt. Hopefully they'll iron out the bugs and the next version will completely rock. I know I'm game to get an update.
If you're looking for a remote that can configure macros, this does not have that feature. I didn't need that feature since everything I have is connected through HDMI and is using HDMI CEC for synchronizing power state everything turns on and switches to the right input automatically.
These are the devices I am controlling: Onkyo TX-SR607 A/V receiver, Panasonic TC-P58V10 58" Plasma TV, PS3 Slim & Windows 7 HTPC running Windows Media Center and Media Player Classic Home Cinema.
After a week it stopped controlling my PS3. I called and left a message with customer support and emailed them, but have not received a reply. I'm stuck with a useless remote. Save your money.
Update: Company finally responded to my service request and sent me a new remote. It paired fine and controlled the PS3. However, I will not be able say whether it continues to. I bought the Sony remote, which I love, and am using that instead.

I recommend this remote for anyone that has a PS3. For only a few dollars more than the standard PS3 Bluetooth remote, you also get IR capabilities to control other devices. I also wanted to echo a previous reviewer that pointed out that this remote does not have a delay when you press the buttons so refreshing. I'm also using this on a PS3 Slim and it works perfectly so I must have one of the newer versions. If you're looking for a remote that can configure macros, this does not have that feature. Honest reviews on SMK-Link PS3 Blu-Link Universal Remote Control
This remote was on my Christmas list because Sony doesn't provide a remote for watching movies on the PS3. (Don't expect to use this remote as another game controller even though it has some controller buttons.) The universal remote capability was an added bonus. I was pleased with it until it stopped working with the PS3 Slim. During the middle of the first movie I watched it suddenly wouldn't control any PS3 functions. I found out from the manufacturer (and other reviews here) that this is a problem with the first 1,000 made which is apparently all that Amazon carries. (I think Amazon should note the Slim issue in its description.) Sony apparently changed the firmware on the PS3 Slim model making this remote inoperable. I like this remote so I am awaiting a replacement with a firmware update but I will have to pay return shipping for the old one. On the plus side this remote operates my HDTV and TiVo HD with no problems. It learns your other remote functions easliy if you want to change them. It is a little small but buttons are generally laid out well. I still find myself using my TiVo remote frequently because I'm so familiar with it but with practice this remote would function almost as well. A back light would be nice, too. All in all I was pleased with this remote but if you need PS3 Slim functionality make sure you find one with the newest firmware unless you want to pay additionally for return shipping.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for SMK-Link PS3 Blu-Link Universal Remote Control
Was fairly happy with this remote when I first got it. It was easy to set up with all my devices and worked fine for my PS3(not slim). Not that it is without problems. The buttons are way too small, there are no page up and down buttons, it's impossible to use in the dark, the blinking blue light when in PS3 mode is annoying, but at least it worked with the PS3.After a week it stopped controlling my PS3.

Assassin's Creed Altair's Chronicles - Nintendo DS Review
A prequel to Assassin's Creed, "Altair's Chronicles" explores the titular assassin's life before the events detailed in Assassin's creed. It also makes the rather clumsy transition from the PS3 and Xbox 360 to the Nintendo DS.
The story is much more simple in this game than in the original, possibly because if the events of this game were particularly ground-breaking the events of the original would not make as much sense. Altair is attempting to find the Chalice a powerful artifact said to be able to unite many groups under a single banner by the order of his superiors. If the Crusaders or Saracens should find it, they would use it to end the Crusades and dominate the holy land. Notably absent is the "modern day" setting present in Assassin's Creed showing the use of the Animus machine to re-live past events and so on (though the main menu is meant to be the Animus' display).
The gameplay is meant to be similar to Assassin's Creed, but isn't quite as advanced. Altair runs, jumps, and climbs like he does in the original, though with slightly less grace. Attacking has been reduced to attacking, blocking, and countering, with a lot less of the subtlety that made it so fun in Assassin's Creed. The top screen usually displays gameplay, while the bottom screen holds a map showing where all the people in the area are. Certain activities, like interrogation and pickpocketing, have been turned into touch-screen minigames. The former relies on a timed sequence of point-pressing to simulate pressure points, while the latter involves dragging an item through a bag without touching the bag's other contents. Instead of the old system of getting upgrades after completing missions, Altair must now collect "blue orbs" slightly out of place in the otherwise fairly realistic setting to upgrade his health and weaponry.
The graphics didn't survive the transition to the DS very well. The attempt at 3d is grainy and blocky, with little of the detail shown in Assassin's Creed. The level design is especially artificial, contrasted with the occasionally improbable but still acceptable cities in the original. In Altair's Chronicles, the buildings seem much less sensibly constructed, with one village containing giant stone arches and pillars that seemed out of place amidst its otherwise low-level construction (of course, you have to follow the path up and across the pillars the continue). As a whole, they seem fairly obviously like an attempt to compress cutting-edge graphics into a portable system (see also the GBA Splinter Cell games). The sound is similarly disappointing, being barely noteworthy in any sense of the word.
As a whole, the game fails to live up to the original Assassin's Creed. Even on its own, it's not a very good game. Despite an attempt to use the dual screen function, it seems more like a gimmick than an actual gameplay point. This game just doesn't have anything that the original did; everything, from story to gameplay to technical things, is eclipsed by the original.
4/10.
Side scroller with Prince of Persia / Tomb Raider type of gameplay. Good level design and good graphics.
The bad:
Controls are just horrible. Altair hardly ever does what you want him to do. Jumping from the wall-rope anywhere is an exercise in frustration.
Wasted opportunity. Yes, this is DS, it does not have the graphics power of a console, but still... Is this the best they could do with this license?
Game is very short. Took us around 8 hours, but it can probably be finished even faster.
The ugly:
This game fails the #1 design rule: don't let the player move to a different area if the player did not complete all objectives! There are at least 2 moments in the game, where a big green arrow shows you to move forward, when instead you have to do something else where you are. If you move forward, you will get stuck and have to reload the level.
An example of this stupid design decision is Level 10.1, where you have to blow up a column, before you should be moving forward. If you do not do this, you will reach a place with 3 pressure plates. An unsolvable puzzle, if you missed the 'unmarked', no-Green-Arrow objective.
Overall: Buy this only if you must ... I love the XBox 360 Assassin's Creed, but this DS game has nothing to do with that.
I would recommend not to buy this game.
Came with case and booklet, my parents allowed me to try this game out on the DS to make sure that the handheld worked. It was very fun despite the fact that they gave me 5 minutes to try it. I have watched youtube videos on it and I personally really like it. I do recommend this game for your DS.

Truly an amazing game from a production viewpoint. Not many games that were taken this seriously on the NDS. I'm sure it was meant for DS gamers wanting a more "mature" game. If curiosity of whether the DS version is superior to iPod version brought you here, it is a matter of taste. NDS version has rougher graphics, but a physical game pad. The iPod version has much smoother graphics and even voice acting(DS game doesn't), so it has higher production values. However, I preferred the DS game because (opinion) it plays better. Lengthy game for casuals, maybe short for gamers. Fun game, considering it's portable, overall.Best Deals for Assassin's Creed Altair's Chronicles - Nintendo DS

Best Johnny Test - Nintendo DS Deals
Thanks this game is really fun. ........... ..... ..... .... ..... ..
It was great to find it. My son loves it thanks for having it.
In it, you play as the title character as he treks across 12 levels filled with action, adventure and amazing gadgets at Johnny's disposal. Each of the levels are broken down into three sections whereas Johnny takes on three different forms: as himself in the first section with his turbo-charged back pack; as Johnny X in the second section, complete with hurricane hand claps and his backside fire blast attack; and as Trooper J in the third and final section. Aside from battling bad guys, you'll also have to search high and low for power cells to add to your collection so you can access new inventions created by Susan and Mary themselves.
Visually, the gameplay graphics are a bit bland, but the action involved pretty much makes up for it. Plus it does have the fun and insanity based the original TV show.
Overall, it is a rather decent DS game. Especially if you're a big fan of the TV series. While I think of it, make sure you get the seasons 1 and 2 DVD set of the show AND keep your eyes peeled for brand-new episodes of Johnny Test on Cartoon Network ! AWESOME !

I have to admit, I will watch this video with my sons. It is really funny and has humor that adults can laugh to. the characters are funny and creative. We have all of the Johnny Test videos and my 5 and 7 year old sons can watch them over and over and still laugh every time. This is the DS game that goes along with the cartoon series and it is fun for the boys to play. Has all the characters from the show. Good game overall.Saturday, June 7, 2014
Cheap Carnival Games: Monkey See Monkey Do - Xbox 360
Customer Ratings:
List Price: $39.99
Sale Price: $18.50

I have been playing this game now for a month, so my initial response to it has alter somewhat. First things first, I agree with the other reviews commenting on the fun of this game and its party nature. It features mini games similar to that of a carnival and you get to really use your full body to interact with these games. After completion you win tickets (those no-good tokens that could buy you a hair pin at a real carnival) which can be traded in for costumes and the like. The game even boasts with its own fortune teller, which just like its real life counterpart, makes you feel like you've been ripped off afterwards.
In essence, this is a party/group game. Trying it alone I find myself quickly rushing through the games and ejecting the game. With friends it becomes fun and gameplay time is lengthened.
CONS
not one player; must be played in groups/parties
too few games
replay value of games quickly diminishes the more you play, quicker than similar games
the "harder" levels are pretty hard to reach
PROS
menus are easy to navigate
setup is clear and easy to follow and one can jump into the action quickly
2-player is really easy and fun: opt in or out any time during play and the Kinect senses the second person easily
space requirements are decent and you don't have to stand all the way back for the Kinect to pick you up
My real gripe with this is after more than a month of playing it is that it has kinda reached its purpose now. We hardly remember having this game, unless friends come over. Friends from previous times are not too eager playing it again, so that indicated to me it's fun first time around and then it loses its appeal. At this point I'll argue for it to be discounted before it really reaches its value. Don't trade this game in though, as you never know when along the road you might have some family/friends over interested in a little carnie fun.
First impression: decent graphics and colorful, fun atmosphere. It really has a sort of carnival feel to it.
Game format: the multitude of games was nice because there are a lot of different challenges. There is a lot to see and explore. Again, the carnival atmosphere is really shining through here.
Playing: as some have mentioned, there did seem to be a bit of lag with the Kinect control. They didn't always recognize certain movements and my son had some trouble with it. There is a bit of a learning curve here and it is steeper than Kinect sports or Adventures. Even I was challenged at times.
And another thing: Some of the language after doing poorly at a game is discouraging and inappropriate for a younger child who might be easily discouraged. While an adult might find this as a challenge to their skills, a child might see this as a put-down and not want to play anymore.
Final assessment: As there aren't a lot of Kinect games out there yet, I would reluctantly recommend this for older children and above. That being said, I would look for it used or on sale rather than paying $40-$50. For us, it wasn't worth the full price.
The Kinect works well with this game. Whenever it did not immediately recognize me, I simply jumped once and it would see me right away. Some games may take a long time to recognize you, but this is NOT one of them. My boyfriend and I enjoyed this game for hours!
The only gripe I may have is replayability (once I beat a game how much more do I really want to keep playing that game, over and over?), and I wish there were more games. I'm hoping they will release some downloadable content for this game, which I suspect they will.
If you liked Carnival Games for Wii, you will LOVE Carnival Games: Monkey See Monkey Do for the Kinect! It's a solid purchase fun for one or a group of people, and will keep you entertained for hours.
Our favorites are:
* Knockout Punch against a heavy bag that fights back Extremely challenging to earn the highest scores but non-stop fun.
* You twist your body inCrash Test Dummy to control everything GREAT WORKOUT
* Leap into a space-age journey in Rocket to MarS Kids really loved this one
* Catch coins while roller-coasting down Gold Rush Mountain Similar to kinect adventures game but with more depth and amazing prizes!!!
Of course you get to play all of these games as your Xbox Avatar like most KINECT games.
The icing on the cake is that tickets earned in games can be redeemed to acquire a wide variety of outfits including Ninja, Swashbuckler, Viking and Wild West costumes.
Overall this game has been oodles of fun for everyone and I believe we will get quite a lot of play time out of this title. Fantastic experience, well designed and implemented KINECT controls, limitless entertainment.

I will be honest: I am not much of a gamer and neither is my 5 year old. However, we enjoyed some of the Kinect games and he had requested something new to play. We read through the descriptions together and settled on this one.First impression: decent graphics and colorful, fun atmosphere. It really has a sort of carnival feel to it.

This game is fun and just about anyone can pick up and play with a short learning curve. The games range from a skeeball game, a dart game, a strength game, a fried dough catching, and dancing like a monkey, plus many more. The games are cute and fun, challenging but not too hard to master. Prizes are tickets which can be redeemed for outfits and pets for your avatar. The top win in each game gets an exclusive prize which is also for your avatar. I like this, in the Wii one you simply win virtual prizes but with the clothes (shoes, shirts, hats, outfits, pets, etc.) you can dress your avatar and have a little more fun with the prizes. The Kinect works well with this game. When I was a lot younger I loved going to the carnival that visited my area once every year. This game is very entertaining and a million times cheaper than actually going to a carnival. I have 2 children (13 & 8)and they absolutely love this game. I also enjoy this game as it allows us to spend quality family ime together and is great for parties. KINECT has made all the board games in our house practically irrelevant. When we have family get togethers people automatically gravitate towards the KINECT. Cheap XBOX 360 Repair Kit - 3 Red Light Fix - X-Clamp Replacement
The kit came as promised. This unfortunately did not fix my red ring of death problem. I'm not sure what else it could be. I put the kit on and couldn't even get the xbox to come on green before it red ringed. I even bought the extra heat sinks.
The only issue I had...My Xbox360 still does not work. I took it apart a second time and followed instructions again, still not working. The latter part of the instructions tell you if you don't have success, purchase the uniclamp fix as it has a higher rate of success. If it has a higher rate, the stop selling this one and only sell the best one. This feels like nickel and dimeing me and in the end I still won't have a working Xbox.
I give this 2 stars because it did not work for me. If they were to send me a uniclamp fix and it worked, then I would say this is a good product to purchase.
Conclusion: Don't buy this kit, get the full kit with uniclamp, but beware that it may not work for you too.

Excellent vendor -great kit -manual was good, but needed to search on line for a few other options in the process (e.g. removing the x clamps). But, there are plenty of videos available to help along the way. And, most importantly, it WORKED -no more red ring of death and I didn't have to send away for 6 weeks. Okay, I have been playing this for a couple of days now. I have mainly played the campaign portion of the game. I tried to go online but there isn't many games to pick up on right now. Hopefully that will change as more and more people pick this game up. I am a die hard flight sim lover. I have several flight sims on the computer as well as several of the Ace Combat series. I wil say that the detail of the airplanes and armament on this game are extremely high and the jets look great.
There is bound to be comparisons of this game to the Ace Combat series. While comparing these two are like comparing apples and oranges, they each have their own sweet spots. Over G strives on more realism than Ace Combat. While you can fly on a novice level, it severely hampers your flight abilities. Once you switch over to the more realistic normal mode, you can enjoy barrel rolls and tight turns and the response feels great. The novice mode feels like your flying through mud.
You can set your plane up before each mission either with a recommended setup or choosing your own missile selection. There is a well appreciated range of missile and bombs to suit every mission. While yes, you can have a great view in the cockpit, I have yet to see a true 360 degree field of vision. It is more like 280 degrees.
The missions so far have been varied nicely. The main disappointment I have had is with the music selection. The Ace Combat series had great music and not only that but great chatter on the radio that really pulled you into believing that you were the one hero of the war. Of any flight game I have played, Ace Combat 5 has done this better than any other. Atleat with the 360 you can play your personal selection of music off the hard drive.
The explosions are decently animated with contrails visible after the jet or tank blows and the contrails move in the direction of the path of flight, which adds nicely to the realism. While flying, you can enjoy a view of your jet and you can notice the exhaust fumes as they exit the engine and also distort the view of the graphics behind the plane. This also adds nicely to the touch of realism.
While this is a solid entry for the 360, I can only hope that the next game improves on this one. If you are a hard core flight sim lover, you have to buy this. If you enjoyed Ace Combat, you may want to rent this game before buying it because it might not be exactly what you are expecting in relation to the Ace Combat series. Althought this game is on a console, it is more in line with what is available on PC's rather than what is previously available for consoles. Enjoy.
I have played the game on easy and expert and it is great fun both ways. If you do decide to play on expert it will really make you think and you dont have time to second guess yourself. Is it hard to dodge missles? No, not if you know what kind they are. If you do not see "Launch" then you are being faced with a IR missle and turning on your afterburner will just draw the missle in. Instead, cut power and hit flare/chaff until threat is gone.
I really love this game and is very very similar to the old F-15 and F-16 games from the day. I still cant land on a carrier though.
If you want to fly and shoot down planes and not get the feel of what real combat is kinda like, do not get this game. This is as close as it gets for many of us and the game is awesome.
Also the game becomes very repetitive. There only so many times you can go out and "intercept" incoming aircraft and ships before you feel like you are doing the same thing over and over again.
As for during the options and briefing menus/screens, there wasnt much effort put into them. Between missions your spoken to by still pictures of cartoons... they dont even move. Between the game missions, it looks like a super nintendo game.
Also, the music SUCKS!!! I'd have to say this is the worst part of the game. Who ever made this game obviously has never seen the movie TOP GUN. The music is so far from what a real jet pilot would listen to its rediculous!!
So basically, it's an average game. Something that can be enjoyed for a while however it'll get old quick. Rent it so you wont have to waste 60 dollars on it. This is a thirty dollar game not sixty.
The planes do not react like the do in Ace Combat, as you take into effect G forces and stress on the air craft, turns are wide as they would be in real life. You dont have unlimited afterburner and unlimited fuel like in Ace Combat.
Lets face it modern air combat is very impersonal, not like WWII where you fly right up on the enemy and waste them with the machine gun. In modern flight combat you shoot the enemy from miles away. Its kill before the enemy sees you. Some may find that boring.
Graphicly this game is amazing, the planes are beautifully rendered the details are amazing. The ground detail could have been done much better as you fly close to the ground it looks like carpeting, they could have done a better job there.
My only complaints of this game are as follows
1. There are no markers as to what you need to do in a mission, you could fly around and not know where to go. When you stumble on an enemy you get the pointer on where they are going
2. Sound is horrible, there is hardly any radio chatter, you can not hear your machine gun or missiles being fired. Music reminds me of some old NES game.
3. It is difficult to shake enemy missiles, once you are locked on it seems futile to dodge the missile, even with flares and hard turns.
4. You have very limited missiles not enough to complete some missions, which leaves you wondering what to do. I understand that as a flight sim the amount of missiles is realistic and you can direct your wingman to destroy targets, but they are not very good and often miss the targets.
Positives
1. Graphics are beautiful, plane details blow you away.
2. The physics of the game are great, too much G forces will cause the screen to go black as if the pilot was blacking out.
3. Take off and landings are very cool, you can feel the cross wind on the aircraft carrier.
4. The different views (inside the plane, behind etc. are great it gives you several options)
Overall this is a great addition to the 360 lineup I would hope they make a second one and continue to refine it. It can only get better.
SoundEven with my 5.1 turned up, the jet's feel incredibly quiet, outside of the aircraft, afterburners sound weak, and the jets overall sound very quiet. The Japanese rock music is nauseating, and the dialog is terrible.
GraphicsThe graphics are a mixed bag, while your own aircraft and your wingmans look next-gen, with dynamic shine, realistic parts and movements, and high detail, enemy aircraft are severly lacking, they almost look like something from PS1. Also, multiplayer aircraft models are not as smooth or as sharply rendered as your own, this may be to save bandwith during online dogfighting, but detracts from the experiance if you are flying in formation, etc. Massive draw distances and thousands of trees, buildings and nicely rendered water help Over G, but ground textures get severly muddied and blurred close up, obviously not made for nap of the earth flying. Taito could easily have pushed the graphics to the limit, but fell severly short, tapping barely any of the 360's potential.
MultiplayerLack of split screen is a big draw back for Over G, and the online modes are lacking custimization. Also, once you complete a sortie online, you cannot stay with the group you played. Arena and Dogfight modes get repetetive, Dogfight mode is usually over before it starts, with most players using the F-22.
GameplayThis is what saves Over-G in my opinion. If you are looking for an Ace-Combat style arcade shooter, this game will NOT fulifly any of your desires. Over-G trys to keep it real, with realistic weapon load-outs, stalls, fully functional instrumentation, physics that closely resemble the aircraft they are portraying plus carrier and land based take off and landings.
-Overall, this game falls short in many areas, but if you are looking for a realistic fighter jet game, this is it. A good summer game to hold you over untill the Fall.

Enjoy.

I have read many reviews for this game stating that the planes handle sluggish and are not realistic. I do not agree and in fact the reason the plane is sluggish is probably because you are flying with your air brakes on which causes the controller to vibrate.I have played the game on easy and expert and it is great fun both ways.

I served four years in the Air Force so I was excited about this game coming out. About time xbox made a modern jet game!!! Now to the game... I was expecting a lot more from it to tell the truth. The graphics are amazing however the gameplay is terrible especially in novice mode. In novice mode, your plane is way too slow and difficult to turn. As another poster stated it feels like your flying through mud. When I switched over to expert mode, it seemed like the jet flew easier however defeating the enemies became way too hard. On some missions right when you start, someones already firing missles at you and sometimes two at once.
Honest reviews on Over G Fighters
A lot of people are comparing this game to Ace Combat for the PS2 and the two games could not be more different. First off Over G is more of a flight sim. I have heard compliants that there is no feeling of speed, that your plane is like a blimp floating in space. Think of it this way, if you are in a plane at 30,000 feet and look out the window does it feel like you are going 500mph? No, it seems like you are floating.

Over G is a game I have been looking forward to for quite some while. Reviews of FIFA 14
Pros:
Fun
Realistic Looking
Good Gameplay
Cons:
new mouse control is poor
PC version does not have latest redering engine
Poor Gamepad compatibility
After having this game for a week or so I have given this a pretty good go. The game is good. It could be stellar. PC version should have shipped with new rendering engine that is a HUGE dissapointment for me. fifa 14 should be fifa 14. It should not be a totally different rendering engine on consoles but old stagnant one on PCs. It should be a different game. I felt I was mislead into thinking this game had next gen rendering.
If you own any pc game pad other than logitech you may be in a bumpy road mapping your buttons. It involved looking at mapping files and manually mapping my controller. There should be an intuitive UI to map buttons on a game pad to any button on the game. If you expect this... you will be dissapointed. But after hacking the mapp files I have my no-name controller able to do all the button combinations of a logitech.
hack inclueded:
Registry hack to label the name of the controler.
hack the mapping file to edit mappings of said name of controller
reverse engineering codes to say which game function maps to physical button numbers.
What EA has failed to understand is that video games are meant to be fun. when you attempt to make a game realistic (in your own thoughts), you should consider the fact that it must not spoil the fun. As you can read in other reviews there are many many many issues that happen way too often in a game which makes you want to break your game. Just to mention a few:
super sluggish game-play and increased momentum of players
Easy cross and header goals that happen way too much in every game (Trust me, I also score most of my goals this way)
Dribbling with the best players in the world is almost impossible because of super late reactions and movements
Lofted through balls (which was so bad in the beginning that EA released a patch to fix it in the first few weeks)
Unrealistic first touch controls (sometimes players like Messi seem to have no idea how to stop an easy pass)
Ridiculously foolish team-mates (some things are totally out of your control...)
Forwards are in offside position 90% of the time (and don't seem to care at all!)
_ Throw-ins are just a joke!Players spend most of the time running after the ball themselves as if there's no one out there
Overall, after a game (specially at higher levels) you don't feel like you won the game because you're good. Instead you feel like you only won because you were lucky. That's what kills the fun in a sports game.
After all, it's EA and they sure know how to be the winner of "Worst Company of the Year" for 2 years in a row. If you haven't purchased the game yet, don't buy it. It's just a waste of time and money...
The layout is great, the defense is better, the ball physics are spot on. No more crazy animations.
I play the PC version.... I just got rid of console and I'm glad i did because the graphics on PC are vastly superior.

Let me get straight to the point, Fifa 14 is by far the worst FIFA game I've played in the last 5 years! Unfortunately EA sports has not made any improvements to the game, but they have also ruined it by trying to make it more realistic(!). I'm not complaining because I can't win ,I just won my season one championship last week so I know how to play. The point is that FIFA 14 is not fun anymore...What EA has failed to understand is that video games are meant to be fun. when you attempt to make a game realistic (in your own thoughts), you should consider the fact that it must not spoil the fun. Game does not function Properly. Crashes after every match to desktop making it impossible to play multiple matches in a row. Really annoying as well as frustrating! Would not recommend it with the current software problem. No help from ea sports, as their solutions/ FAQ do not apply borderline the issue. No help from amazon either!!Honest reviews on FIFA 14

Reviews of Halo 3 - Spanish Version (Xbox 360)
i never really ever played any of the halo games till this one. i never thought about buying halo 3 until i saw that it was only about 5 or 6 dollars, so i bought it. it said it was the spanish editiion, and this isnt really a selling point for me, i guess thats why it was so cheap. since im mexican, i didnt really care if it was in english or spanish as i can read and understand both spanish and english. now on to the actual review. all the menus and options and stuff are all in ENGLISH. the only thing that is in spanish is the case, the manual, and the dialogue in campaign mode. the campaign also translates just about everything that is said during the campaign, especially the objectives. online is awesome. there are atleast 15 modes and not including downloadable maps, the game comes with like 12 maps and you can download 2 maps for free from the marketplace. overall, i thought i wouldnt like halo games, but now that ive played this one, im planning on getting the new one thats coming out soon. :)
Also, all of the menus and the multi-player experience are in english. If you're primarily looking to play some matchmaking, this is a great deal. The foreign language editions (also available in french) are usually half the price of the english edition.
The Spanish voice acting is great, and the menus and subtitles are still in English (Because of my 360's language setting)
I recommend this to anyone who is a fan of Halo and is taking or took a Spanish class at some point! ^_^

An awesome game, no doubt about it, but it gets even better when you play through the campaign with Spanish dialogue. The Chief, or "Heffe," growls like an ultra-macho Antonio Bandaras, and Cortana's latin voice actor puts WAY more emotion into her lines than her english counterpart. So if you want Halo 3 to play out like a Telemundo Telenovela, pick this up.Also, all of the menus and the multi-player experience are in english. If you're primarily looking to play some matchmaking, this is a great deal. The foreign language editions (also available in french) are usually half the price of the english edition.

Buying spanish edition is a steal even for English speakers who know some Spanish since only the campaign dialogue is in Spanish. The menus are alm English by default. Its a lot of fun to hear a deep voiced master chief speak spanish though. The price was cheaper than any English version of the game I looked at.Honest reviews on Halo 3 - Spanish Version (Xbox 360)
Halo 3 is my favorite game! Playing the Spanish version is like playing it again for the first time! The Spanish voice acting is great, and the menus and subtitles are still in English (Because of my 360's language setting)
