I am a huge fan of the Silent hill games..So when the HD collection came out I couldn't wait to get it since I never had the 3rd Silent hill game for my collection..Sadly When I got the game and started to play it there where so many problems with the sound and how glitchy the game play is I stopped playing it.Konami said that they would be releasing patches to fix these problems,So I have been waiting for the patch to be released to be able to play the game without all the issues.

Konami released the patch for the PS3 about a month ago and we where told that the 360 patch would be out in a few more weeks,well now Konami has said there will be no patch for the Xbox 360..I had emailed Konami and this is the response I got.

"Dear Konami Customer,

Thank you for contacting Konami Customer Support about this issue. We understand your frustrations at having waited so long for an announcement regarding the patch for the XBOX 360 version of Silent Hill HD Collection. Unfortunately we are unable to patch the game. We apologize for the inconvenience. But unfortunately due to technical constraints we simply will be unable to patch the XBOX 360 version."

So basically I paid $50.00 for a glitchy game where the sound doesn't even work all the time..Yes I love the Silent hill games but this was a waste of money.

Don't buy the Xbox 360 version,if at all possible buy the PS3 version or avoid buying at all...

Do Not buy this game. Konami has announced that they will not release a patch to the xbox 360 version. They acknowledge that this game is broken but they refuse to release a patch due to technical issues and resources. if you want the best Silent Hill experience i'd recommend the original xbox versions of Silent Hill 2 and the playstation 2 version of 3. they look pretty much the same if not better and they won't screw up as much as this broken POS.

So first off I'm not an Xbox fanboy. I have both systems and buy games on both equally. The reason I am telling you to buy this from 360 if you can is that the glitches everyone is complaining about in the PS3 reviews are not on the 360 version. We'll they are and aren't. The only glitch I noticed comes at the end of the game where sometimes the old voices aren't synced correctly. Its a very minor issue and only happens at the ending of SH2. (Not sure about SH3 I haven't finished it yet).

Thats basically all I wanted to tell people considering playing this game. There is no real point to review the game itself since its been out for 10 years and reviews are all over the internet.

I personaly bought the 360 version and my buddy bought and brought over the PS3 version so we could play at the same time on my two consoles. All the negative comments in the PS3 reviews are true. Movement issues, Frame Rate issues, and the voice syncing is out way more in the PS3 version.

Again, I'm not a fan boy I just wanted to make sure people don't forgoe this collection thinkings its a bad port on both system. I'm sure PS3 will eventualy release a patch but as of right now 360's is the way to go.

So basically its a $50 broken ass game ! AVOID !

This game was buggy when it was first released to the point where the PS2 versions are greatly superior. The PS3 version was patched to a point where it's allegedly up to snuff (not sure, I've never played it) but the 360 version is unpatched and Konami has said that they have no intentions of fixing it. Konami knows it's broken, has no intention of fixing it, and wants you to pay 40 dollars for it. I was really looking forward to this collection, I'm so disappointed.

Received my 250GB hard drive yesterday, it took about 30 seconds to install. and works great so far! I would like to note that amazon suggests buying the xbox360 transfer kit with this item. Which is NOT needed. You just have to go to the storage section on your xbox Dashboard and transfer your saved items from internal memory to your new Hard drive. I had 3.1GB of data to transfer and it only took about 5 minutes.

Also, in some cases you may not be able to use some of your DLC, all you have to do to fix this is go into your account page on the Xbox Dashboard and go to the "Transfer Licenses" option, then transfer the licenses from your INTERNAL MEMORY to your HARD DRIVE. I haven't had to do this yet, but it was brought to my attention that it may happen.

This product works in Xbox360 Slims ONLY. not the old models.

UPDATE: Forgot to mention that even though it says that this hard drive is 250GB, You really only have about 228GB of space to use. This is the case with most Hard drives. 228GB should still be plenty of space for most people.

Example: Installing Forza Motorsport 4 (disc 1) to my Hard drive took up 7.6GB of space (This took about 10 mins). Skyrim took up 3.8GB of space (less than 5 mins).

This is not the original xbox 360 Hard drive but it works exactly the same way. I've had it for many months now and so far no problems. Very satisfied with this product and would definitely recommend for anyone that wants to save some money.

So I was a bit skeptical about this hard drive. I took a chance, good thing I did since my 4GB Xbox 360 S from Walmart did not contain a hard drive. I installed it and to my surprise it worked. It fit really tight and caused some slight cosmetic damage to the drive upon insertion and removal. I had to apply ample amounts of pressure to install and uninstall the drive. Upon removal there was several scratches on the drive and pieces of plastic shaved off of the drive due to the tight fit. I removed any excess material and blew out the hard drive slot and it worked fine. A little scary when it did not want to fit, but it is working fine.

ProsMuch cheaper than the MS version and it works.

ConsThis hard drive fit a little tight. I had to apply a good amount of force to install it and even more to remove it. Upon removal there was scrapes on the drive due to the hard fit. I took and removed any loose plastic that was damaged and reinstalled it.

I have had this hard drive for several months now and it is still working great. So glad I made this purchase.

I bought this Hard Drive about a month ago, but it is starting to act up. My xbox loads a little slower, and I've gotten the Red Dot once in a while, but it hasn't flat out crashed. I recently bought an xbox original game online, and found out the hard way that this was not a Microsoft certified hard drive. If you don't intend to play any xbox original games, then go ahead and buy this for the price, but it sucks when you can't play classics such as Knights of the Old Republic, Battlefront, or Halo. I'm going to return this before it completely crashes and just buy the actual Microsoft Hard Drive.

I LOVE IT!!!! Couldn't ask for a better product for the price. Was pleasantly surprised when the item came in its original box with all the cables and the universal media remote. Hook up only took a few minutes, but getting the unit to actually play a dvd and getting the remote to be recognized by my Xbox 360 took a little longer. Thank goodness for the internet and all of the great forums out there that explain everything in detail. Couldn't ask for a better unit for the price. These normally retail for over $60, this was a steal at $21! Highly recommend this item for anyone looking to add a dvd player to their XBox setup. Only con was that it took almost a week to get here. According to shipping tracking it went from CO Springs to Denver. Denver back to CO springs. CO Springs to Des Moines. Des Moines to Kansas City. Kansas City back to Des Moines and finally Des Moines to Omaha. Seems a little fishy, but I am extremely satisfied with the product.

With the end of the HD-DVD format, I have a modest collection of HDs that I will not be able to watch if my primary player (Toshiba A2) breaks. I looked at this as a means to media shift the HDs that I legitimately own to a different medium. Like I have done with my CDs and shifted them to MP3, so too will all my movies move to MP4s.

Plugged this beauty into my Computers USB port and the drive came up with no problems. Was able to play HD movies without an issue. Now off to the real work.

Received item in a speedy mannor form Amazon but there were some problems:

1. Box was not sealed (the MicroSoft seal on the opening end was missing).

2. The Media remote was missing.

3. Unit states for sale in Canada only and MicroSoft may not honor warranty here in the UAA.

Unit was not packaged as new units are and it was clear that unit had been used. It still works and for the price paid it is acceptable overall.

Update: 2 years later drive still works just fine with xbox 360 unit.

I bought this for my son for Christmas, along with many hd movies.

This hd dvd player worked for approximately 30 minutes. My son was watching a movie and stopped the movie and when he went back to continue watching the movie the player wouldn't work. I read the return policy which is that they won't accept returns, we must go through the manufacturers warranty. I could understand if the player worked for a few months, but for 30 minutes! Are they selling defective equipment? If they are maybe amazon shouldn't use this company. Now my son has movies he can't watch anywhere else. I'll think twice before ordering anything again.

This game isn't horrible, but it certainly is in no way, shape or form a realistic poker simulation. If all you want to do is play a little online with your camera and talk trash and you don't really play poker for money, sure, have a blast. But for people who read poker books, play for money, and take the game seriously, this is, as one reviewer put it, arcade poker.

Overall, I think the developers need to take a serious look at what kind of poker game they are trying to make. It's fairly obvious that the developers made this with the "no fold em hold em" players in mind, as opposed to serious poker players. That's the main problem right there. The other is that they feel like the WSOP license and some big name pros will sell the game, not substance. Those are two deathblows. It's casual fun, but nothing that serious players will enjoy over the long haul. After spending more time with it, it just got more and more annoying as the game's numerous flaws became more and more glaring.

Once these poker games start taking advantage of the next-gen hardware and use multiple types of A.I. opponents, with adaptive A.I. that adjusts to your style of play, then we'll finally have a serious one player poker game. They also need to beef up the online portion with more options, like cash games. Hopefully, they'll also put in some real next-gen graphics, player models that actually resemble humans, and some better presentation. It would be nice to see WSOP games, and poker games in general, start to use some real production values, like EA Sports and 2KSports games. I think poker fans would rather have a killer poker app for $50 or $60 than this for $30.

I was given this game as a gift. I play poker competitively as well as for fun and do use software to practice (such as DD Poker) but the person who gave it to me had no experience of poker and just thought this would be fun for me and my new 360.

Fair enough, I'll give it a go. I was a bit taken aback that the introduction was both simplistic and time-consuming, but I'll try anything once. I set up a career and entered a tournament. Sat out a couple of hands, blinds at 5/10, in the cutoff, player under the gun makes a raise. Person next to him also raises. Then the entire table calls. I'm baffled at this point (early raise means power, re-raise of a power hand means a monster, so everyone else should have folded, not called), but of course I've now been given great odds so I'll play whatever I have. I look down at AA. Nice. So I bet the pot to clear most people out. And everyone else instead follows me in... and of course my As get cracked.

I'm not sure who this game is aimed at. The betting makes no sense, the AI will play any two cards, the BB ALWAYS calls if no-one else does making it impossible to steal the blinds in other words it's all hugely unrealistic and won't teach you anything about poker. I think that it is, as the title says, an arcade game for those who want to dabble and pretend that it's the real thing without wanting to take it so far as to understand poker strategy and tactics.

As a final aside, I was very disappointed in the graphics and sound 360 is all about the visual and auditory experience, and this game takes no advantage of that.

Overall, avoid this game.

Rome: Total War has been my favorite strategy game for the past few years. I've had to stay in the Windows world, though, since there wasn't a native Mac version.

I've been kicking the tires of Feral's Mac port for the past couple of days using the Rome: Total Realism Platinum mod (which Feral has also enabled for the Mac, along with a couple of the other most popular mods). No problems so far; the game has been flawless, with no crashes or observed bugs. Thumbs up to Feral not only for bringing the vanilla game over to the Mac world, but for enabling the more historically accurate variants too -it really makes the game much more enjoyable. You can read detailed instructions on how to enable the mods on Feral's forum on Facebook ().

The only negative comment I can make at this point is that it puts a heavy load on my system (2.2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo MacBook Pro). The Activity Monitor maxes out while I'm running the game, even in campaign mode (which I thought should tax the system less than the battle mode). The keyboard gets uncomfortably hot and the fans go at max speed. Make sure your system is up to the task!

I originally played this game for the PC and was excited when it finally came out for mac. My impression has been mixed.

Rome: Total War

This is the better of the two games. I first started playing as Brutii and so far so good. I have had no problems. However, when I tried the game as Gaul, problems started to arise. I was besieged early on by a Roman army, but when I tried to attack with the army in the settlement, the game just froze. On one settlement, there were added buildings to one of the religious buildings (5 tiers of upgrades instead of the usual 3).

Rome Total War: Barbarian Invasion

This is the game I have had problems with. I started playing with the Franks. When I tried to capture the Saxons capital, the game crashed. I tried several ways (play the battle out, auto-resolve, etc.) but the game crashed each time. The same thing happened when I played as the Saxons trying to take London from the Romano-British.

Overall, the game has been fun to play. Other than the above mentioned problems, the game play has been very smooth. I am hoping a future update will fix some of these problems. I have sent an email to Ferral Support, and am still waiting to hear back. Until then, I will give the game 3 stars for the conversion problems.

The total war series as a whole is amazing.With a campaign map of Europe where cities are developed and forces moved on a turn by turn basis, and then real time field and siege battles, they have a formula which is unique and amazingly addicting. However, despite the many advances after Rome,I still find it to be my favorite. Something about the feel of Roman legions cutting down barbarians and the true epicness of the empire you can create is dear at heart to me.

This game is also one of the most realistic games I know,economy's require skill to maintain armies have to be marched over a series of turns to reach their foes,and the battles themselves have realistic unit sizes with a moral system that means more than just saying, attack here.And if your thinking that charging your cavalry onto a line of phalanxes will get the job done then you will be in for a quick lesson as to what happens when a long spear impales a horse right through the heart.

This game is exactly like the windows version(as it should be) No weird crashes, bugs or features. The only differences are the online play(which nobody plays anyway) and the not very many mods out their for mac version. All the cool skins/levels/mods are all windows so unless people start modding mac version, you wont find any.

If you want this game and have a mac, this works just fine.

I was worried about purchasing this at first, but the xbox 120gb is just too damn expensive. Got it in the mail and it fit right in and fired up when I plugged it in my xbox. It works for what you need it for, but it only has about 13gb of usable space rather than 20gb. If you are looking for extra space or need to install a game, or in my case the battlefield 3 graphics pack, it is perfect. Otherwise spend the extra cash and get a larger hard disk.

You know you hate those dreaded red lights on your xbox. Fear not though. You can fix the issue yourself with a bit of time and some parts from XBRDepot. I hadn't heard of this company until I had trouble finding some of the parts I needed to fix my box in the home improvement stores. Lucky for me, Amazon carried their products.

The first thing I noticed is how flat the tops were. This is exactly what you need for this mod. I also noticed that the screws were MUCH shorter than the ones recommended by other sites for this mod. But once I checked out their website for the instructions I found out the size was actually perfect. It was just as wide as the other screws, just shorter which meant you didn't have to waste as many washers. Perfect!

The screws themselves looked exactly like the picture posted. All in perfect condition and all felt like they were very high quality. If you are looking to fix your xbox on your own and are thinking about removing the XClamps, take a look at all of the great products this company offers by looking at their website. As a first-person shooter enthusiast, I had high hopes for Dark Forces when I hear about it for the first time.

And as it may be a sin to compare it to Doom, because honestly and truthfully, this game is hardly what Doom is, I must say one thing....take Doom, send it through a meat grinder, out pops Dark Forces.

Everything in this game is ho-hum....half or less than half of what Doom gives the Playstation gamer.

It's not THAT disappointing....it's still very fun to play....but the whole game seems rushed. People forgot to add more than 3 colors to walls and background images, and the pixelization is unsurpassed. Stormtroopers and items laying about look like primitive Lego models. The soundtrack isn't all that bad, but could be better....the voices are really done well though.

The levels in the game are ok....I found myself getting lost on some of them though due to the fact everything looks the same because of the limited color palette....and even some areas I'm guessing are supposed to be covered in "shadows" are in all actuality, just black spaces with no graphics at all.

The weapons are typical Star Wars guns....nothing entirely special, but it is a fun selection.

If you're a Star Wars fan, and can get this game for 5 bucks or less, by all means, add it to your collection.

But if you're a first-person shooter junkie, look elsewhere for a top-quality shooter.

Overall, an average game, 5 out of 10, possibly 5.5.

Ok. This game came out in the mid 90's, but even for then, it's an average game. Nothing stands out to make it a "must have" for the Star Wars fan and gamer.

Graphically, it's a step down from the old Doom days. Characters are made of HUGE sprites--The closer you get, the more blocky they are. Backgrounds/levels are huge, but poorly done. Most levels are just plain boring and the colors are extremely dull looking.

The sound, out of everything, is fairly good. Effects and voices are above that average level. The music, though, is a disappointment. This is a 32-bit game with an 8-bit soundtrack. One thing in every Star Wars movie that's done well with pride is the music score. All Star Wars games should be no different than the movies with the same score. This game is one of those games where the music is just plain bad.

Fun value is on the average level, as well. Where most everything is dull, the enjoyment of blasting Stormtroopers, Probe Droids, etc. is fun for every Star Wars fan.

If you enjoy first person shooters and the Star Wars movie series, then give it a try. It's cheap money-wise, however, it's just that, as well (gameplay-wise)--cheap.

I got this game as a sugestion from my son. He lives in San Antonio and I live near Ft. Worth, so we look for good co-op games. This way we can kind of hang out with each other. Now, he is way better then I am at this game but it dosn't detract from the fun. One good thing about this game is we don't have to been in the same location all the time, so one of us each of us can accomplish different task at the same time. For a 45 year old man this is a fun way to hand out with his 22 year old son over Xbox live.

I'd already bought the original version of this game on release. When I heard there was going to be a GOTY version of the game, I just had to have it. Preordered it (a bit to late, apparently :P ) and yeah, didn't get one. Got me money back though so I bought it from a local store (sorry amazon)

Anyhow, if you have played Dead Island, then you know what this is, it's basically the same game, but it has a few "DLC" extra's. And they DLC is on the disc, you don't need live (I got the xbox version) to play the extra's. It has a multi-playered mode, the Ripper (a pretty awesome blueprint for a nice bat) and of course the Rider White character's campaign, which is totally different from the other characters campaign.

Only real complaint is that the rider white is a really short, it took me about 5.5 hours to go through it, but then I dig through everything LOL so yeah, your experience may vary.

Over all, the game is awesome, if you don't have the original, then I'd say this game is a must have. If you already have the original, you can buy the rider white episode for 10$, don't know about the other two things, but I think this was a good deal. Especially for fans of post apocalyptic games ad zombie games.

My friends and I who play together online just got through Ghost Recon Future Soldier and were hoping for a new co-op experience and challenge; we already knew about the game Dead Island but did not really consider it till we saw a GOTY edition. After playing for a couple nights i have to say that this is indeed a fun and challenging game!

This is not a FPS so do not get it confused with L4D2.. in fact this game is actually an Open World RPG set in the back drop of a zombie outbreak at a tropical resort... now as someone who lives in the caribbean, I absolutely loved the concept! True to RPG form you can level up various character attributes and even craft newer weapons as you level up your character of choice. The 4 characters have some various advantages that will suit different play styles (just like most party based RPG's).

It's a lot of fun to jump in a pick up in the game and just drive across the island appreciating the visuals and running over the occasional zombie

This may not come across as much of a review but the game has been reviewed before as the standard edition, i have yet to make use of the extra content so i cannot comment on it as yet. But what i can say is that this is a lot of fun for anyone appreciating good co-op experience (just make sure you have the common sense to understand that you need to level up your character >totally pointing fingers at another reviewer<

My daughter convinced me to get this game because we love co-op games. It was rather slow at first, but once we learned the mechanics of the game and started killing zombies, I started to enjoy it. It is a good game for the price and I recommend it to anyone who likes co-op games. The ability to easily jump in and out of other co-op games works well. I even enjoyed it playing as a single player, but co-op is where this game shines. I see a little Left for Dead in the game, which is not a bad thing. This GOTY version is definitely worth the $25 I paid for it.

Anyone who like zombie movies will like this game. Better than just a shooter game, this game requires planning and allows you to fight off zombies in different ways besides just shooting them. Nice open world gameplay, this is one of the best open world games I have ever played.

Pros

Fans of the original Kengo, a very niche game, will like this game.

This is not a traditional hack and slash game like Onimusha, Ninja Gaiden, or Way of the Samurai. It is a really more like a fencing simulator. So if you rush in hacking and slashing in combat mode the CPU will kill you over and over. The game will be rather frustrating to play until you have learned how to control your sword clashes, evade, and then counter.

As you play your character through the main mission the system keeps track of your fighting mannerismseven the negative oneslike tendencies to hack wildly and missing your opponent most of the time. Then you can take your AI and pit it against others on the Xbox Live National Leaderboard to see the outcome. I think this is rather innovative. Also by being able to watch your AI fight, it gives you a chance to reflect on your fighting style vs others.

The graphics are definitely better than previous generations of the Kengo games. Shadows are soft, there is light blooming, and costumes are bump mapped.

Cons

Buggy. It has frozen several times after completing a mission making it impossible to save your progress. So you are left with having to repeat the level.

Like the previous generation of Kengo games, it is repetitivebut then so is real kendo or iaido practice. As I said this is really more of a simulator than a "game".

The dojo skill building mode from the previous Kengo games is lost. Skills are now built by progressing through the main storyline.

The camera is much worse than previous Kengo games.

One will always try to compare this game with Bushido Blade. If you played the original BB before playing any of the Kengo games, chances are you will never be sated. It all depends on what you are looking for. Kengo's sword fighting mechanics and sheer number of waza are much more extensive than BB. As someone who practices Kendo, I find BB just too dumbed down to be interesting. Kengo gave me a far more realistic and interesting fighting experience than any of the BB series games ever did.

I'll admit, when I first put this game in, I was sorely disappointed and frustrated beyond belief. I'll also admit that I didn't even glance at the book before I played, so I didn't know that your health gauge regenerates if you stand still with a full stamina bar. I didn't know you could lock onto a nearby samurai, instead of running around in circles hacking wildly, trying to stay alive. So... I'll admit when I first put this game in after months of anticipation, I hated it. Then I read the book, thinking "No one in there right mind would release a game this broken", and while I tried the game the way it was meant to be played, I noticed a fairly deep and strategic fighter. This game is by no means meant for everyone.It's a very niche title. You really need to be a fan of Samurai and be sick of "Button Mashing" fighters to enjoy this. Those that enjoyed the first American "kengo" release, will miss the training sessions from "Master of bushido", but if you do not try to play this like Onimusha you may enjoy it. I would definitely rent it first, even with the low price tag.

Is it "technically impressive"? No. It's not Skyrim, Mortal Kombat, Uncharted 3, Modern Warfare 3. It's Kengo: Legend of the 9. Got it at Gamestop for $4. Best game ever.

Graphics and presentation: Not the best. It doesn't attempt to wow you. It's just "good enough."

Gameplay: Great. You have your standard vertical attack, horizontal attack, block button, but the really cool button is X. X allows you to clash swords with someone (Or "grapple"/grab them), but depending on how you flick the left stick or which buttons you press, you can roll them around, drive them around, kick them on the floor, or they can counter-grab you or counterattack. It's really exciting ...

Most samurai games are hack-and-slack. Attack. Dodge. Attack. Dodge. Block. Kill 100s of other people like that. This is not the case here. You have two bars: HEALTH and STAMINA. THERE ARE NO HEALTH POTIONS (for you to heal, your STAMINA has to recharge to full and YOU CAN'T MOVE -how cool is that?). You have a stamina bar that runs out if you don't use your energy wisely (you can do what I do and turn all the gauges off for real immersion; of course, this means you got to gauge your health and stamina with psychic powers or intuition, if you're into that kind of thing, but it's pretty awesome to play a samurai game with no interface, just you, the graphics, and the controller). Sure, you can go around slashing everything, but once they block and attack you (maybe 4-5 times), you're dead and have to restart the level. This means you have to smart. You can't just barge into a battle. If it's you versus 10 guys, run until you can get one guy on your own or can safely attack him without someone sneaking up behind you to attack you (doesn't happen often but the point is you can only block the person IN FRONT OF YOU, which is easily done with the targeting feature, but can be painful just like in real life when you're got people surrounding you: strategy: run away until you can corner one). In most everyone versus you battles, you'll be fine, but when it's one-on-one (boss battles), you better be careful because he'll be more likely to block or attack you. This isn't because the AI cheats; it's basic psychology. You have to take it seriously. One mistake (like getting hit 4-5 times in a row ... even though to kill non-boss characters, you have to hit them 1-3 times -which is how it's done in real life in case you didn't know) and you'll have to restart the level. Each level is basically the same: attack lots of people (fend off people trying to kill you) and finally an end boss (the hard part, because the boss will be smarter; your best bet is to grab them ... grab = X button = 2 swords clash and you have to push or pull ... you know, like in Bleach or Rurouni Kenshin when 2 swords stick to each other and the characters are talking, except here, you'll be thinking about how to not get killed versus making heroic speeches).

Game modes: combat (fighting game so the health bars are longer, but you can go on up to 9 rounds), online (haven't tried that yet), main story (you versus lots of foes; note these are historical figures so you can't create your own character but you can allocate experience points, etc.), options (very few), customize characters (from story mode).

Japanese audio; English subtitles.

Combat mode: This is the coolest mode ever. Don't like fighting off 20 guys and then losing to a boss battle (in story mode). Combat mode is where ALL the characters in the game are already unlocked (except maybe 1 or 0; not sure) and you can play 1-2-3-4-5 match rounds, just you and the AI, like a fighting game, but as with the story mode, you can turn off the interface and just fight. It's like a real samurai fight.

As I've said, best game ever. Let me know if you have questions. I just want to give this game the credit it deserves because it really is the best game I've ever played. The graphics aren't Uncharted 3, the menus aren't streamlined like in Skyrim, it's got Japanese audio, but the fighting gameplay mechanics are really fun and special. I've never played a game like this. Granted, if you're a completitionist or if you don't like losing, you might not like this game, but if you want to try something new, if you're into playing games because you want to have fun, then definitely give this game a try (I would say ... BUY). Remember: not all samurai fights end in victory; fight for your life. Once you develop your own style, you'll have a lot of fun with this game.

Weird note: Sometimes when an AI character swings his sword, he hurts the men around him. Kind of funny to watch (doesn't happen enough), but the point is there's a bit of strategy involved. If there are 10 guys around you, you could try and hack and slash away, but ... you could also try and run away, turn around and see who managed to catch up to you and kill him before the others catch up.

Settings: Japanese places like downtown Edo, temple, grassy knoll, a camp, autumn leaves (really pretty), etc. Definitely a must-buy if you're into Japanese landscapes and history.

On a more technical note, each character has three stances (three difference styles to hold the sword) and there is 1 female character. The others are historical figures like Musashi, Okita, Kojiro, etc.

Ever since genki has made fighting games they have been doing something new, making them feel real. The Bushido Blade games reinvented the genre with their realistic sparing and simple controls. These games sparked a small revalution with fighters opting for a more realistic approach, however this was only attempted by small or unknown companies and was ruled as ''shallow'' or ''uninspired'' because it didn't mimic Street Fighter[no disrespect]. Games like Kakuto Chojin and Tao Feng are looked down on for being different but are very good games and they both have alot in common with Bushido Blade.

When the first kengo came out it was all I wanted to play, having already enjoyed Bushido Blade I sank my teeth into it and loved it completely. I was eagerly awaiting a second Kengo and finaly it was anounced however it didn't make it to the states WTF! Then Finaly several years later Kengo 3 was anounced and it later came out as Kengo Legend of the 9 on the 360.

K9 was pretty cheap pretty soon so I quickly picked it up. I was impressed with how good it was because nobody seemed to like it at all and none of the Kengo fans out there[I know you're out there]were standing up for it. Kengo definitly is not for every one it's an acquired taste like Resident Evil if you haven't been there from the beginning you don't understand it it's true. Kengo is not a lightning fast, flashy, move blaster like most fighting games out there. Kengo is a slow, thoughtful sparring game where range and timing are the most important things to master to stay alive.

This game is hard even on ''easy'' and it's not forgiving at all, if you die restart at the beginning and so on. Some of the swordsmen mainly the other ''NINE'' are hard to grapple with and throw in some cheap shots here and there but you get over it. The controls are good and it is easy to link all styles together. The combat does alow for some freestyle thought but you do need to grab, throw and strike when they're stunned in order to get the higher scores and cash in for new moves. Some of the fodder enemies seem to just keep coming out with no end in sight and hurt you just enough to effect the upcoming battle with a real samurai but if you can hold your mud you'll do just fine. One of the best things about Kengo is the ability to take out a badass shooting his mouth off with one well timed attack.

The only really big gripe I have with this game is the lack of extra game modes, the main mode will keep you busy for a good long while but after that everything else kinda sucks. The vs mode is fun for a little while but not long and the challenge modes don't even play with the same rules layed out in the main mode, so you need to adjust which is lame. There is not much replay value but the main game is enough.

The best thing about this game and what is completely overlooked is the authentic samurai and battle locales herein. The battle between Myamoto Musashi and Kojiro is almost completely accurate to real life save for the fact that Musashi did not use his swords but a wooden oar handle.

Kengo is not for everybody but if you like samurai and history combined with realism you'll probably enjoy it if you give it a try, and god knows samurai and realism don't often meet up games.

Arrived quickly and was what I ordered, in good condition.. I was hoping for a bit more Bushido Blade style gameplay, but this is still pretty good, for as much as I hate seeing health bars in sword fights. Either way, I wasn't able to find this anywhere else, so I'm glad I found it.

AS noted in another review, the campaign is short, but you can play it with 6 races. The "Last Stand" mode is not for novices. You should be familiar with the DoW "Last Stand" scenarios and have some virtual "combat" time under your belt with other DoW series games before playing (not required, but it is a steep learning curve for those without experience). If you want tips for Last Stand, use "Steam News" and it notes best heros with specific equipment that have been successful.

Don't bother using Amazon's downloader for this game. Tried for a whole day to download 8GB... left it overnight and the download continues to get interrupted. Finally, was so frustrated, I logged on to "Steam" and used the game validation code (from Amazon) it finished the entire download in an hour. Amazon has to do better with their downloader. Hope these notes are helpful.

The second expansion to "Dawn of War 2", Retribution offers a new faction and a new campaign. It's more of the same, but that's hardly a bad thing.

The main new feature in "Retribution" is the addition of the Imperial Guard faction. Unlike their elite counterparts, the Space Marines, the IG relies on massive numbers and vehicle support to get the job done. There's a lot of concepts brought over from Dawn of War 1 and the tabletop game, but they don't really seem to fit as well. DoW2 has a much tighter squad focus with more enclosed maps, so the IG's traditional tactics don't seem to fit as well as they used to.

Still, there's some interesting potential. The basic IG unit is the guardsman squad, which focuses on improving its numbers rather than making soldiers more effective. Other guardsmen units include the stealth-based Catachan Devils, the specialized Stormtroopers, and the brutish Ogryn. Their heroes show the most diversity the Inquisitor is focused on targeting enemy heroes, the Commissar Lord combines melee damage with inspirational bonuses, and the Lord General relies on more tactical options like troop drops and battlefield commands.

The game's other factions have gotten some attention, too, in the form of a new unit for each one. Space Marines get a mighty Land Raider tank, Orks get a massive Battlewagon, the Eldar get a powerful Autarch, and so on. I wasn't particularly enthralled by any of the new units, but it at least gives them some new options instead of ignoring them for the new faction.

The other new feature in Retribution is an expanded campaign mode specifically, there's a campaign for every single faction, instead of just the Space Marines. This is kind of a neat idea, and holds some promise, but really it just boils down to similar missions on similar maps with RPG stats. It's fun in the same way that the old campaigns were fun, but other than new scenarios it doesn't seem to introduce much. It's good if you're okay with that old gameplay, but it honestly gets repetitive after a while. There's some ways it's different than previous campaigns, but that seems to come down to tech tree upgrades (in addition to character upgrades).

Basically, Retribution isn't a bad expansion pack by any means, but it gets old pretty quickly unless you really like the core gameplay. If you're already tired of DoW2, Retribution won't hold your attention for long. If you still like it, then it's a worthy addition to the game's content.

If you are a Dawn of War 2 fan this is a must have. The new map for "Last Stand" is very challenging. The campaign is too short but you can play through it with all six races. Oh and the new Imperial Guard units are a blast (pun intended).

To start off I only play single player. Ever since the first Dawn of war two I haven't really had any interest in multiplayer. It's possible that extend the value of the game for you, but it didn't really for me.

What I like about this game is that it allows you to treat some of your hero units for a larger quantity of lesser units. By lesser I don't necessarily mean week, as the generally they lack the special attacks and have no benefit from armor and such that you get with the main hero units. This means that you can choose either double small squad or if you go all in you can have a semi-large army.

The graphics and voice acting in this game are good. I have no complaints there. The levels are well laid out and I found them all the fun. A lot of cases you have to take advantage of cover and be strategic with your units or they'll all get slaughtered. You're also able to play the single player campaign with any of the factions. The best thing out of the game to me though, is it FINALLY ends the story of the first Dawn of War game way back when this was more a traditional RTS. I'd been waiting for that resolution ever since I played Winter Assault and was disappointed it didn't carry on the story.

So there so many factions and you can play single player, why do I say short? What problem is that each race plays in almost identical campaign. Sure they're sometimes different dialogue, some of the races don't play every level, every race gets their own blurb at the start, and their own ending, but the levels play pretty much the same and you only have a short period of time the level of any of your characters so the whole thing feels abbreviated. Despite the really impressive allowance to go with heroes or sacrifice them for lesser units, the story is weaker and it still feels like the weakest of the three Dawn of war two games.

Is it worth the price? Maybe. If you're into multiplayer games, want to play the Last Stand mode (which kind of got boring for me, but so many people like enough you can buy it separately from a certain digital download provider), or will be playing a race before doing something else and then coming back to try another one, I'd say get it. If you want a truly different experience for each race that you can play back to back, then it's slightly disappointing, so you may want to wait for a price drop.

-Great and New Concept to RTS Instead of building bases, etc, you actually focus on the hero units and your infantry as they can upgrade in items and experience.

-Great Same Old Races You got the typical races, as every 40K fan knows, the Orks, Chaos, Space Marine, Imperial Guards, and Eldar, and a new race but anticipated Tyranids.

-Includes a "Last Stand" gameplay Which allows you to play as you control your choosing hero unit and survive multiple waves of enemy units and vehicles. As you gain XP, you get more weapons and upgrades which will help you through the game.

-Co-Op Campaign Pretty fun addition if you want to play through Campaign with your buddies online.

Cons:

-Campaign Felt a little too short and too shallow. Compared to Chaos Rising, the story isn't defined and detailed, but you do get to play as multiple races.

-Last Stand There's not a lot of maps and items to make the experience entirely complete. I wish it had more items and maps but it didn't make the game not worth playing. It's still addicting and fun, if you want something different from the multiplayer RTS.

-Steam Don't like Steam being included with Retribution, but wished it was optional. Sometimes matchmaking through Steam doesn't work or is really slow.

Overall:

It's a really fun game, in my experience, and I feel confident that anyone who is already a 40K fan, will love as well. This game and it's new game plays make it worth the price. While there are a few hiccups like Steam in the way, it won't take out the fun out of your experience (most of the time).

Dissidia Duodecim, for the uninitiated, is a 3-D, real-time brawler featuring most of the main protagonists and antagonists of the entire Final Fantasy series. Battles are frenetic, acrobatic, and--while seemingly shallow at first--offer deep strategy and customization. It's a lot like Super Smash Bros. for the Final Fantasy series, except it's one-on-one and 3-D. What this means is that, just like Smash Bros., Dissidia provides tons of secrets, unlockables, fan service, and content. Players unfamiliar with Final Fantasy will get considerably less mileage out of Dissidia than fans of even one game in the series, but there's still a solid brawler in here with serious RPG trappings.

>>The Gameplay

Brawls play out in a similar manner: Prowl around your enemy and use the circle button to nail them with Bravery attacks, which don't do damage, but increase your Bravery meter. The higher your Bravery meter, the more damage you'll deal when you finally hit the square button and unleash an HP attack. The point, ultimately, is to whittle away your opponent's HP, using a mix of Bravery and HP attacks, until they're defeated. Mixed in with this is a lot of dodging, rolling, flying around, blocking, explosions, and magic.

Battles earn you EXP, which in turn levels you up, which in turn allows you learn new Bravery and HP attacks. This is where the RPG foundations of Final Fantasy come into play, allowing you to equip new moves, items, summons, and accessories in an attempt to give you the upper hand while duking it out.

>>The Verdict

Dissidia Duodecim brings enough new content to the table that returning fans should definitely take a look, even if they've poured hundreds of hours into the first game. Folks who have played even one game in the Final Fantasy series and are curious about this title should definitely give it a spin. If you liked the first Dissidia, you'll love this sequel--it's bigger, better, quicker, and deeper than the first. If you never liked the first Dissidia, however, this one won't convert you. Fans of brawlers should also take a look, even if they're unfamiliar with Final Fantasy.

Dissidia Duodecim is a standout title on the PSP, and offers a huge amount of bang for the buck.

>>What's New

* Characters: Lightning, Kain, Tifa, Yuna, Laguna, Vaan, and a few others all come to the roster with new fighting styles that are fun and unique. So far, I've played heavily as Lightning, Tifa, and Yuna, and their new styles fit right in to Dissidia perfectly.

* Stages: A handful of new stages have been introduced to coincide with the additions to the character roster. Orphan's Cradle from FFXIII looks and plays great, and there are several other new stages that provide a welcome change in environment. For now, though, it only seems like there are 3 or 4 new stages.

* Moves: Returning characters have a few new tricks up their sleeves to mix things up.

* Music: New tunes have been added--not only for games like FFXIII and FFXII, which weren't represented it the first Dissidia, but it also seems as if at least one new song has been included from all the previous games as well. Menu BGM has been remixed slightly. The music, both new and old, sounds wonderful.

* Assists: Pick your character, then pick any other character on the roster to be your assist buddy when you need help. Assist characters can be assigned in the customization screen, similar to how accessories, equipment, and summons are assigned. You can fight without assist characters, but it's worth it to have one along for some flashy help during a brawl. There are Bravery assists and HP assists, and both should be used judiciously: Although it's easy to fill up the Assist meter, it's also easy to use an Assist at the wrong time and waste an opportunity. Each character offers a different skillset for assists, so it's important to consider your own fighting style and bring along the right assist character in order to maximize your strategy.

* Story Mode: Much improved over the original, the Story mode in Dissidia Duodecim now offers an expansive overworld to explore in between the familiar, grid-based battle levels from the first game. There are lots of secrets, treasure chests, wandering foes, and moogle shops in the overworld, making it an awesome addition to this sequel. Cutscenes are done better, and the new scenario featuring all six of the new characters is great.

* Party Free Battle: Create teams of up to five characters to take into tournament-style or round robin battles. Assign a Class to each character to receive stat bonuses, then unlock temporary new classes that are more powerful as you progress through each battle.

* Creation Mode: This mode is truly the highlight of the game for me--I'm very impressed by it. Creation Mode allows you to create your own quest scenarios, including static cutscenes and custom fights, which you can then share with friends. You can also save, edit, and watch replays in this mode, which offers a surprisingly robust Theater mode similar to Halo 3 or Halo Reach. Pause the replay, move the camera around, take screenshots, cut and string together the video, and then convert your masterpiece to an .avi that can be uploaded to your computer! Awesome! I've spent hours playing around in this mode, and expect to spend many hours more.

* Gameplay tweaks: The AI seems tougher in Battle Mode, but battles feel much more responsive and smooth. Unlockable items and equipment seem to come along much more frequently after every battle compared to the first game, which makes fights more rewarding. Assists add a great new layer of strategy to battles.

>>What's Familiar

* Characters: All the familiar faces from the first Dissidia reprise their roles and fighting styles here.

* Stages: All the stages from the first game are available in this sequel as well.

* Music: All the music of the first game makes a welcome return

* Gameplay: The core gameplay remains unchanged. Aside from the addition of Assists, brawls are still very similar to the first Dissidia, though more responsive. Leveling up is still the same, and the Customization screen with the cute little chocobo is the same as in the first game. Don't fix what ain't broke, right?

>>Pros:

+ Gameplay feels a little tighter and more responsive than in the first game.

+ Graphics seem a little better.

+ New characters, stages, and music are great additions to the game.

+ New cutscenes in Story mode seem as if they're a little better written, better acted, and better directed than in the first.

+ The overworld in Story mode is awesome, and fairly large.

+ The ability to import your save from the first Dissidia means any old characters you leveled up will retain their skills and levels in this game. You can also choose to import your save without bringing over the leveling you've accrued.

+ Creation mode is a stunning and excellent new mode for those who like to make their own movies, screenshots, and quests.

+ The ability to save replays as .avi files that can be uploaded to a computer (and played from your PSP's video folder) is a truly awesome feature. (Be sure to turn on Replays in the Options mode, first.)

+ Assists are a great addition to battles.

+ The data install feature helps cut load times (installing the maximum of 814 MB cuts load times by about 75%--but it takes about 2 hours to install). The install sizes include 492MB, 574MB, and 814MB.

+ The game is overwhelmingly deep, and offers a huge amount of content for a great price--even for those who spent tons of hours in the first Dissidia.

+ Battlegen items are much easier to create in Duodecim.

>>Cons:

Load times seem to be a few seconds longer in this game than in the first. Even with a maximum data install, loads take just a second or three longer here than after installing data in the first game. The wait is noticeable compared to the first game, but certainly not terrible.

It's still easy to get stuck in cheap juggle moves by the computer, but Assists help alleviate this issue by letting your Assist character take the hits for you, if needed.

Still no infrastructure mode. With the ability to create custom quests and edited replays, it's too bad there's no online portal to share your creations. You can still battle and share with friends using Ad-Hoc mode, but a true online mode would certainly have been welcome.

* Dissidia 012 [Duodecim] Final Fantasy is the sequel/prequel to Dissidia Final Fantasy. If you're looking to get a Dissidia game, get this one, not the first, because Duodecim includes all the stuff from the first game, plus a ton more.

First off, at 30 dollars, this game is a steal. There is simply so much you can do even after you finish the story mode. Secondly, while it looks a lot like the first Dissidia, there are plenty of tweaks that make for a better game play experience. Here's a quick list of some significant changes the game presents.

-New characters like Lightning, Kain, Yuna and Tifa.

-Chases require you to be on the ball at all times. If you're trying to guess whether you're going to either throw or receive an HP or Bravery attack, it's already too late and the chase is over.

-When entering EX mode in the middle of an attack, you are able to break the attack and slow down time for approximately five to six seconds. As a result, your EX meter is depleted, but you are free to unleash an HP attack upon your opponent.

-Characters have been balanced and tweaked. For example, Cloud can now use meteorain in midair instead of just on the ground.

-New stages and costumes.

-Story mode now has an overworld map that you run around in with your character to travel from the various battle stages. This makes story mode a much fresher experience so you aren't simply a game piece on a board going from battle to battle.

-Custom events.

There are probably a significant amount of features that I have yet to find in this game as well.

Finally, those of you that have invested hundreds of hours into Dissidia 1 can move over much of what you had to Dissidia Duodecim. Levels, items bought with PP, ect ect. So please ignore the other two misinformed reviewers on this page. Dissidia 2 is a Final Fantasy fan's dream come true....again!

To start off the review I really thing it should have been called Dissidia Final Fantasy Final Mix or something along those lines also I will score the new characters from 1 to 5

Postives

1.9 new characters

Tifa 5/5 Very fast with BRV attack and has amazing Hp attacks and gernal movement

Laguna 4/5 Has good moves some are hard to hit but you can easily barrage foe with

some of he's moves mostly the explosives , also he's machine gun needs to reload

Vaan 5/5 I was very surpise how good he was everyone of he's weapones has two combos also has 4 Hp moves but are all good

Lighting 5/5 They used all of her moves from FF13 she is fast with BRV moves and you can easily switch from her styles, also has great HP attacks

Yuna 4/5 same has the others great BRV attacks and very useful Hp attacks just alittle slow with movement

Kain 5/5 fast and has amazing BRV attacks but some of his Hp lack range and

Didn't play with the others yet

2.previous characters have new costumes and most of their old moves have slightly new looks

3.The new characters have an 8 chapters story of the 12th cycle

4. The Cutscence are way better done

5. Assist can be vey useful when used at the right moment

6. The new music was well chosen like fleeting dream from ff10 and jenova from ff7

8.Battlegen are easy to get this time

9.Dissidia orginal story is in this one

10. you can spend hours a day on this games I usually play 8 hours a day and have 75 hours total

1.I was hoping that each returning character would have an 12

2. Its great that every character has new moves but only one they should have each gotten 1 new HP move and 2 new Brv one ground the other Air

3.More characters! I don't like waiting 2 years for 10 characters 5 more would have been perfect

4.In the open world map I would have like to see it alot bigger than it is

5. More in the story mode it's cool that their is the first dissidia story, it should have had more on the 12 cycle story

Great game and very time consuming. This game is like a 3D fighting RPG. Graphics are proabaly one of the best of the psp games. Story wise I think it lacks because it isn't very interesting to me. The sound quality of the game is also up there with the graphics but not as good. But overall it is a good game.

So yes, This game I have been waiting for for such a long time. I am glad that I got it. It is almost like I am playing a different game from the first. Now there are some good and bad to this game. Now if you have ever played draonball z budakai, there are cut scenes during the game where its a one button dodge or attack that will have you and the opponent go back and forth until someone is actually hit, well it was in the first Dissidia and easy to anticipate the opponent but now its HARDER, I mean harder.....

Love the new characters, Love that they updated the old characters with new moves. the storyline is not something you would buy this game for. Its not even good. But hell the last storyline wasn't good either. I will say if you thought you needed strategy for the last game now this one gets even crazier.

Some of the new features include new assist. this assist feature is kind of like marvel vs capcom and just blows me away on both ends, being the one hit with an assist and being the one hitting someone with an assist. they have new modes as well. I wish more people brought into this game because every time I go online no one is there lol :-( . say bye bye to Duelist coliseum from the first dissidia and say hello to labyrinth. From what I know, Labyrinth is like a maze and I believe the opponents get harder and harder?????

You can also play the original story ( for those who never got it) on this game as well. Yay for new comers, bad for us Pros lol. the only good for us pros is u get reports with every story mode completed, basically new cutscenes and possible battles that will mesh characters from original game and this game together ( ex. Tifa (new character) in a scene with Cloud and Sephiroth)

Overall I cant put this game down. your PSP collecting dust and you been waiting for a good fighting game to keep you going, This is the one
