Best Wave Race 64 Deals

I remember the first time I saw this game... What a beautiful memory. Even though the Nintendo 64 turned out to kinda bust, it was my transition from 2d to 3d games. My first experiences with 3d were with Mario 64. I first played Nintendo 64 at a friend's house, and Wave Race 64 was one of the first games I played. My jaw was hanging for about a half hour. The first thing I saw was Dolphin Park swimming dolphins, fish, "splashy" sounding music, backflips, barrel rolls, and BEAUTIFUL water. It was too much! What a surreal experience! After I got back up from fainting, my friend and I played this game for HOURS and HOURS and HOURS and HOURS. We would go to Southern Island and tried to find what we could ramp over, go under, and crash into. It sounds pathetic, but I've had some of the best times of my life playing Wave Race 64 with friends.

I never actually bought the game. I was around 11 or 12 at the time, and $60 was hard to come up with. But boy, we would rent it and made use of the WHOLE 72 hours we had it. I'm 20 years old now, and being frustrated with today's gaming experience, I decided to take a trip down memory lane and finally buy Wave Race 64. I hoped to experience some of the joy I did so many years ago. I found it for $2.75 on ebay. It's still a great game, but it was a little sad to play it again to see the out-dated graphics and all. I beat all the circuit classes in no time. Also, the guys I used to play it with aren't around anymore. Makes me yearn for the good ol' days. :*(

But I'll quit sobbing. This game is without a doubt a classic. It is one of the best racing games of ALL TIME. DO NOT DISAGREE WITH ME.

okay, a Penny plus $3.99 shipping. That's the cheap price i see right now on amazon for a used copy of this game....$4 bucks?!! This is a Fantastic game!! I know copies are plentiful, but Four Dollars?!?! Okay, Majora's Mask was a game with a HUGE print. But that commonly goes for over $20. Wave Race is a Top Notch A+ Title!! And it is yet to have a proper sequel. The gameplay was amazing back then, and this is a N64 game i can still go back to that STILL blows my mind! The wave mechanics are near perfect. Especially for an early N64 title, 15 years later it STILL works! Over ALL the many N64 games I love...I find myself casually coming back to this game for a quick game more than any other on the console. And this is strange because i really dont play racing games. What makes this enjoyable to me is the ability to do tricks and show off stunts when you dont have to. In a 1-on-1 race, tricks dont add to your score. But it's a TON of fun to speed past your opponent needlessly doing back flips off ramps & handstands through the finish line. GREAT Game! I'm fiendin' to play it right now! Also the music is classic. This game is an overall A triple zillion plus!!

Xbox 360 Live Vision Camera

This camera is available in two packages this is the basic package and comes with the Xbox 360 Live Vision Camera, a headset that you probably already have, and a code redeemable on the Xbox Live Marketplace for the game UNO (which supports the camera in online play) and also 1 month of Xbox Live Gold service.

The camera itself is a well-designed little unit. You have to set the focus of the camera using the ring around the lens. The quality of video and still pictures taken through the Xbox dashboard is pretty good as long as you're in a reasonably well-lit room. It's a VGA camera (640x480 pixels) so it's not HD. It's easy to install, you just plug it into your Xbox in the front or back USB port and you're good to go, no software update necessary. The camera has a built-in base/stand with a rubber footpad so you can set it next to your TV. You can also use it as a regular webcam with your PC, and as of OSX 10.4.9 onwards it will work as a webcam on any Mac; I use it with Skype on my older iBook and it works great.

Overall it's a nice little add-on for your Xbox. Video chat is a nice feature if you have friends or family with an Xbox 360. There are a few games that support using the camera to map your face onto your on-screen character, which is fun. Games like Totemball are be played by actually moving your arms around in front of the camera so it does open up a lot of opportunities for new experiences with your Xbox.

For parents worried about their kids using this: when playing camera-enabled games you will see other people's video stream whether you have the camera or not, so buying this camera doesn't make any difference to what you will see. In your account preferences you can enable or disable sending or receiving video for any game.

With the iSight no longer for sale, there are few alternatives for users of older Macs looking to use the video features of iChat AV. This camera works perfectly.

The quality is decent and it's very small. Not a ton of extra features, but it works right out of the box without any other software. That is far better than lots of bells and whistles that only work OK.

I don't own an xBox and can't speak to how this camera is for that, but it's a great camera to use with my computer and far cheaper (and better) than most aftermarket webcams.

Best Deals for Xbox 360 Live Vision Camera

I bought this camera on an impulse. Here are my thoughts:

Right now, I'd say it's not worth a whole lot. As of October 9, 2006, it only has three functions. You can use it on Uno, Totemball, Billiard Games and for video chat with friends on Xbox Live. Additionally, you plug it up into your Windows PC and use it as a web cam.

However, if you're getting this for your Xbox360 (which you probably are), I say wait until there's a good reason to buy it. Totemball is an absolutely terrible game, and unless you want to people to see you while you're playing Uno, there's not much point in getting it yet.

I say hold off until it's functional with a few more games before rushing out and getting it. It's definitely nice to have, and anyone wanting to get the most out of their 360 should check it out, but it's just not too important just yet.

EDIT: As of June 2007, the camera is functional with a few titles. The most notable is Command and Conquer 3, in which you can view your opponent's face when you obliterate their army. It is a nice touch to the game. Still not entirely necessary for the Xbox 360, but nice to have nonetheless.

Honest reviews on Xbox 360 Live Vision Camera

The inexpensive XBox 360 Live Vision camera is natively recognized by current versions of Mac OSX, without having to install any drivers: just plug it in, and you can immediately video conference using iChat, Skype, etc...

Focus is manual (unlike the iSight, which has powered focusing and can be set to autofocus mode). The picture quality is excellent, very sharp and low light sensitivity perfectly adequate.

A green light ring illuminates around the base of the lens to warn you that the camera is on.

A perfect, inexpensive way to give your older Mac, Mac mini or MacPro video conferencing capability.

Also in the box: a mono headset with mike for XBox. Unfortunately, the connector is just non-standard enough that it only works on XBox, but it's an extra toy for the same price.

All in all, great value for Mac users!

I bought this camera on a tip I received from a guy working at my local Apple Store. He said that this camera worked flawlessly as a webcam with iChatAV. So I took a chance and picked up this Xbox 360 specific camera from the local store.

Believe it or not, it works like a charm. Just as he said it would, I took it out of the box, plugged it in, opened iChat and I had a working webcam. Easy. I had no idea about this Xbox 360 camera working with my iBook G4 so perfectly. Just thought I'd let you Xbox 360ers know that this camera is a great alternative to buying an all new MacBook if you're still using a computer that doesn't have a built in webcam.

I don't know how this thing works on the Xbox 360, but on the my iBook G4, it does the job extremely well. Thank you Apple Store guy.

eForCity Premium 3.5mm Male Stereo Plug to Female Jack Extension Reviews

eForCity Premium 3.5mm Male Stereo Plug to Female Jack Extension Cable Compatible with Xbox 360

An aux cable is a total must if you have an ipod and a compatible car stereo. My friends all had regular cables that were always in the way or getting tangled.

This cable is very convenient because it is only as long as you need it to be. At first I was worried that it might not stay the length that I chose (since the cord is retractable) but the ipod is enough weight to keep the cord extended.

Unlike other aux cables, this cord is only about as thick as standard headphone cords. This hasn't presented a problem for me yet.

The only issue that I have had with it is that it is so small that I have almost lost it a few times in my car. Now it has a special spot that it stays when not in use.

UPDATE: Sometimes I have trouble getting the end to my ipod connected all the way, so it just takes an extra second to make sure that you're fully connected (or else you're only getting one speaker, so to say).

UPDATED UPDATE: After using these for over 2 years, I will change my review from 5 to 4 stars. I've had to purchase 3 of these in two years, which isn't exactly a burden with how little they cost, but it is a testament to their durability. It's also a little annoying to wait for shipping. Every six months or so these little guys get worn out enough that they short and the cables need to be replaced. Last time I needed a new aux cable right away I just bought one in stores, and bucked up for one of the thicker, flat cords, with sturdier connections, which I imagine will give me better longevity. I used these cords for both ipods and android phones, though.

I waited and waited to get an adapter for my car because I believed it was more complicated and expensive than it really is! I finally said to self, "Hmmm, let me see what Amazon has." Duh! I found it, and the crazy low cost (including shipping) was really nice! Product was received within a few days, and my son and I are happily rocking out to his Zune and my Blackberry in the car! Thanks for being a great Amazon seller!

As the title would suggest, this is not another what can be terrible "movie adaptation game". Instead, this game adds value to those that are big fans of GL (myself included)or looking for a solid game to play. The controls are pretty simple for any video game veterans of the last decade. There might be challenge here or there, just like in any game, but nothing that can't be handled in co-op. Co-op is great with the "drop in/out" on command feature, good for a busy house or somebody just looking for some quick help. Overall, I'd recommend renting for casual gamers, unless you're really into a "button mashing" game (using the term very lightly). If you're a die-hard lantern fan like me then this is an obvious and fun buy.

Thank god SEGA didn't work on this game ! They destroyed THOR and I could only hope that they don't rush Captain America and doom it. Overall the game is excellent great weapons, great combat a load of powerups. All the weapons serve a pupose in the game. The game comes with 2 pairs of 3d glasses and it works and makes your gaming experience that much better! Not to long, not to short just rite. The level presentation looks great and so do your enemies. I was sceptical on this release after I played THOR and if your a gamer you know how bad movie games usually are, with a few exceptions ( Batman Arkam, Wolverine, not many) I'm glad I purchased it because I can't stop playing the last 3 days. AWESOME !!!

This is a very rare super-hero game that is actually good. The only other great ones are Wolverine and Arkham Asylum. Its a pretty solid game, graphics are nice and the various abilities you get to unlock and upgrade are all pretty cool. Campaign length wasn't too short, but nothing spectactular either.

The one real complaint I have about this game is that they do NOT have online co-op. Its only local co-op and to me that is an unforgivable ommission. Kudos to them for including the co-op, not enough games include that. But to not have it online capable is just crazy. I purchased it to play online and was not happy when I found out I couldn't do that. Other than that a darn good game.

Honest reviews on Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters - Xbox 360

Take this review with a grain of salt.

I love Brawler type games (ie God of War). I love green lantern and have been reading him pre Ron Marz era.

The game is a fun game. The graphics and the voice overs are fairly good. I didn't notice any graphical glitches or much sound errors. However one thing about the sound, when you are playing two player co-op it gets a little weird cause Hal will talk into his ring to speak to Sinestro when Sinestro is standing right behind him. Some occasions the lines spoken to Sinestro are spoken to Kilowag.

Game play is straight up brawler. You move to an area, kill a bunch of folks, then move onto the next area. Usually once you defeat all the enemies, you have to solve some sort of puzzle or a button mashing sequence to progress. Puzzles are not very challenging and can usually be solved fairly quickly. There are a variety of enemies but they tend to repeat.

The game is somewhat challenging in the beginning, namely because you hit like a wet noodle and lantern energy is not replenished regularly, requiring you to use heavy light attacks. As you progress through the game you can level up, and unlock new moves and abilities through "willpower points." Willpower points are gathered through destructible items or through chaining combos. This makes the later stages alot more fun since you can 5 different types of enemies on the stage and you need different powers to take them out. The game makes using constructs easy, you can map 4 to each shoulder button + face button (aka left trigger + b will use the gattling gun). Once you progress through the game and unlock everything the game becomes very very easy. Pretty much you have unlimited lantern energy, and every fight you can go crazy. I wish there was an insane difficulty, because at this point you can just pull out your constructs and pretty much 1 shot everything (hello jet). The ground brawler sections are broken up by rail shooter segments. These are okay, and suffer from the same difficulty issues that the brawler section does. It goes from easy to very easy.

Not many games have couch multi-player, but the game pretty much stays the same. To me it seems that the enemies don't get stronger at all and now with another person it becomes even easier.]

All in if you want a good brawler then go for it. The difficulty level could be upped.

I'm surprised that no DLC or unlockables have been included. Once you finish the play through there is not much else left to do.

The game came with 2 3d glasses. These glasses are not designed for an adults face. The 3d looked okay, but nothing to write home about.

This game gives me the opportunity to play as green lantern, which I have been waiting for for a long time. However as an objective video game player it suffers from the curse of being a movie tie in game. While not as bad as some of the other ones, it is defiantly no spider man 2 or wolverine. Its short enough to be beaten while rented, or pick it up cheaper.

Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters - Xbox 360

This game was a nice surprise because it was a superhero game that wasn't too campy and ridiculous, but fun. I, as every other avid video gamer, was hesitant about what the quality of this game would be like, having seen the spotty track record of titles related to film franchises.

No, this game isn't a direct movie tie-in, because it's not a full Green Lantern origin story like the movie is going to be (from what I can tell by movie previews to date). Hal is already chosen by the ring, and this game is more like his first adventures as a Green Lantern. It's just good timing to make a video game release with a big name movie release it's called marketing, people you'd do just the same thing to make $$$ if you were in charge.

The gameplay could get a little repetitive, in the way of a beat-em-up game like Marvel Ultimate Alliance and X-Men Legends, but mixing in the ring constructs with scenery changes wasn't too bad at all. I died a few times even on the easiest difficulty because I had to figure out how to defeat certain strong baddies after some trial and error, but never got frustrated about it. Flight missions were decent, with constant action going on in them so you stay attentitive. I replayed a few missions just for experience points, but I'd say it took me about 7 hours to go through. Not too much replayability after that unless you really want to. There might be some future DLC on it, looking at the box's back. I did not try co-op.

Visually, the graphics were decent, and I never got any framerate losses. 3D was meh, but that can be subjective for every person my eyes got a little tired from the red-green glasses supplied. The character art was nice in my opinion, with vibrant colors and also ongoing action (battles in the background). I didn't get bored of the environments.

I'd recommend this game as a nice, casual superhero game that keeps moving you along, but not feel like you're grinding your way through. I thought it was a fun story. I know some people are going to think that it's going to be way off canon with the manhunters doing their rising and all, but I thought it was good for what it did (yes, I've read some GL titles, myself). Not every comic book video game property has to follow verbatim to what a printed comic book title did. Batman: Arkham Asylum did pretty well on its own. But if that's what you really want, then wait for a game called something like "Green Lantern vol. 4: As Written By Geoff Johns".

TL;DR its a good and fun 7-hour superhero game, don't hate it until you actually play it!

If you liked the NFS earlier series game engine then you'll like this Arcade Racing Game.

The Burnout Paradise Ultimate Box Download from Amazon can be activated and downloaded right from the ORIGIN client after you get the activation code, my preferred method.

It worked with Windows 7 64bit, Steering Wheels and Gamepads. I tried both a xbox360 gamepad controller (work without configuring) and a Thrustmaster Ferrari F430 (worked after configuring) without issue.

I was able to set graphic settings to 2560X1600 (high, medium, low,AA options available). Plays without glitches, but I have a beefy system by today's standards. (I975@4Ghz, SLI GTX580's 1.5gb, 12GB system ram, HP ZR30w 30" S-IPS display). You can turn off music and even arrange the in game music selection and organize the order.

The menu is hard to understand at first like "exiting the game" and finding the "setting menu" was awkward. I suggest you do a search for *Criterion Burnout Paradise PC Q&A* before playing the game so you know how to "exit the game." The brief Q&A will also show you how to setup a controller and other stuff.

I haven't played Multiplayer as that is not my thing with racers, only FPS games. I never played the console versions so I couldn't compare to them either.

My favorite game yet.

My one criticism of Burnout, the first time I played an earlier version of the game, was that the physics and crashes were super lame and utterly ridiculous. I was playing that on XBox or PS3 (can't remember which).

This is the first time I have seen a Burnout game on PC. I got it, and I have to say I have never seen a more compelling game. For one thing, it works even without a fancy graphics card, but nonetheless preserves attractive realistic shading. I have a Dual-Core 2.00 GHz Pentium processor on a Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop with the default chipset and 4 GB of RAM. Also, it has a map with every kind of temperate territory you can name (except, perhaps, Piedmont pine forests) :-)

There are 75 cars which are not real (Ford, Chevy, Ferrari, etc.), but look very real and probably are close spin-offs. Events are sprinkled throughout the city which you win to win new cars. Sometimes, for an extra challenge, you have to shut a car down to win it.

My favorite game yet.

I'm not a racing fan, but this game is surprisingly fun. Zooming down the streets and drifting around corners is simple and satisfying. Great game for just about anyone, even if you don't normally like these kinds of games.

My only gripe with the game is that it doesn't include all the dlc and there are no plans to release the rest of the dlc for the pc version. I wanna drive the DeLorean.

A little background. Before college, I bought Forza 2 and a racing wheel for my xbox 360. My dad loved to play this game with me for 2 reasons, he loves sports cars and he could never figure out first person shooters. I took my xbox with me to college and my dad would always want me to bring my xbox home so we could play.

I bought this bundle for my dad as an early Father's Day present. Considering that a 250GB xbox 360 is normally $299, you are getting a pretty good deal when they throw in Forza 4 and a wireless racing controller. Dad and I played this past weekend and he loved it. The graphics on the game are a big improvement on Forza 2, the xbox is very quiet in comparison to my old 360, and I really like the wireless racing controller. I am actually thinking about switching my xbox with his

Growing up in the 80s/90s I was always a Nintendo kid. Then I discovered PC gaming and I was hooked until just recently when I purchased my Xbox 360. I had stayed away from console gaming due to the less than amazing graphics and coarse control surfaces that were difficult to learn. Once I moved out of my parent's house and into my first apartment, I quickly realized I needed an activity that I could entertain guests with and I splurged on this Xbox 360 package. The inclusion of the game and wireless wheel really add to the fun of the gaming system. Forza 4 is easy to learn for anyone who's driven a car and the controls are intuitive. Its always fun to watch a newbie playing with the steering wheel and whipping it left to right. It also comes with a standard wireless controller so right out of the box you're ready for head to head racing. If you're looking for an Xbox 360 bundle but you're not ready to invest in Kinect, then this is the package for you.

Best Deals for Xbox 360 250GB Racing Bundle

This bundle is a good deal with the wireless racing wheel, Forza 4, a normal controller, and the 250 GB console itself. But be sure to read the description carefully; for all the mentions of HD this console ships with a composite AV cable rather than component or HDMI so you won't be getting HD unless you invest in a different AV cable. It's hard to believe Microsoft would actually be this cheap, but there it is.

Honest reviews on Xbox 360 250GB Racing Bundle

This bundle is a great deal. I was considering just getting a 4bg xbox for $200. However, for only 50 dollars more you get 250 gb hard drive, a fun game with an amazing controller (the race wheel). Anyways, my five year old xbox box finally bit the bullet 2 months ago and I decided to get a new one since my XBOX gold membership had already automatically renewed. I originally just wanted to get the 4gb to play Assassin's Creed 3, and buy a couple flash drives for extra memory. However, the price of the 4gb xbox plus the flash drives would only be a few bucks less than the 250 rig. As it stands right now I am having a lot more fun with the racewheel and Forza 4 than I am with Assassin's Creed 3. If you need a new xbox this seems like the one to get, as the holiday bundle doesn't include the racewheel and the games don't appear to be compete titles.

The steering wheel sucks. IF you are buying Forza for being an awesome racing game you will not enjoy the steering wheel unless you have nothing better to do. It does work good, but just isn't fun. If i want a wheel I'll go drive my truck.

WOW! Really great game. I buy the lego games to play with my 5 year old. So this review is for the game being played that way. We are about 45% complete. I like the improvements over the other lego games. The hint system seems better and gives us hints where in previous games I had to look up gameplay guides. Also we loved the amount of characters before but now there are even more! Lots of content, really good variety. And of course the graphics are great. My favorite game since I was a smaller version of myself was Skullmonkeys. I missed it so much, I had to buy it. But, oh no, $$$ on Amazon? Well, I got it from a zshop anyway (very grateful) and I was very happy to see all the madness again. The music keeps our minds from laughing at the 2d side scroller game play, the claymation movies leave us begging for more, and the 70's come back to life in this once in lifetime (well, ok, there was the neverhood I guess, but I havn't played that yet) opportunity to get a little weird.

This game is AWESOME. It has great design and music. The Claymation really works well with the computer animation. Some of the highlights are:

Universal enimeas (kills everything on screen)

Slappy the Hampster (not approved by the humane society)

Farting your clones

1970s Level, compleate with shag carpets and disco ball

Skull Monkey Brand Hot Dog Factory

Joe Head Joe

Claymation mini-movies

The silly things Clayman does when he thinks you aren't watching

Sound effects are great. I'd buy the cd of just the music, if i could!

Over all, I suggest if you liked 2D adventure games, you will love this game. It will keep you entertained for months, and well, years, if you are like the guys I know.

This game is one of my top 10 favorite games of all time! As an adult (38 years old), I found this game to be challenging, entertaining, but relatively easy to learn how to play. My 11-year old daughter loves it as well, which is unusual, since we don't usually like the same types of games. The game primarily an arcade-style game, but that didn't stop me from enjoying it (I HATE most arcade type games). This game is well-worth the money (if you can still find a good copy out there).

My sister's boyfriend recommended me to buy this game, and as soon as I launched the Czech PC version of the game which is the version that I started with I found it totally amazing. I am proud of my fellow Czechs who were able to construct this game a game chosen as the best game of the year 2002 (at least in many European countries). The amount of data (contained on 3 CD's) that the creators had to put together is shocking, and initially it seemed to me that a team of 20 people would need several centuries to finish this task. Well, fortunately they have used a lot of modern technology, for example a system to scan the motion of the real actors which is subsequently translated to the motion of the artificial humans, and therefore the task was doable. There are many hours of "movies" in between the different scenes, and there is a lot of audiovisual effects everywhere. The individuals in the game have pretty good artificial intelligence, and you will be impressed how realistic all these objects and their motion are (unlike the cartoonish style of GTA, for example).

The Lost Heaven City is a completely realistic city, designed according to the actual buildings in the New York City and Chicago of the 1930s. Everything seems to work perfectly in this city including the gas stations, public transportation, banks, car races, ships, small airport, and so on. Imagine more than twenty squared miles of the urban architecture where everything responds in a realistic fashion, including many things that are unnecessary to fulfil the game's twenty main missions (e.g. you decide jump from the bridge in order to see the ship from another side). There are 60 different models of the cars that you can steal on the street if you learned how that were carefully copied from the real cars in the 1930s (but they were renamed). All these cars respect all the laws of physics and they are described by 100 physical parameters each. If you shoot at the car (or use some explosives), it's getting destroyed in a very realistic way.

Moreover, there are about 30 fan web sites dedicated to the game, and the people who understand computers well enough can have a lot of additional fun with modding the PC version of the game changing the cars, textures on the buildings, music, sounds, and so on. The Xbox version does not allow you to do it, I guess, but it has other advantages over the PC version it seems that the graphics is even smoother.

The game has a tutorial where you learn how to control Tommy (which is you). On the PC version, the arrow keys and other keys on the keyboard are used for motion (and changing the weapons, jumping, and so on) while the mouse allows you to change the direction where you look (or shoot), and this combination is very natural. You can practice as the taxi driver you will learn geography of the Lost Heaven City after some time (the map is recommended). The main game has 20 main missions with 106 checkpoints or so where the game is saved, and afterwards you may continue with the "free ride extreme". Nevertheless, I needed about 50 hours to complete the main missions.

The story seems as a good piece of literature you are a taxi driver who accidentally becomes a member of Mafia, and you are getting increasingly difficult tasks. Well, you will have to shoot a lot of people, but from a moral perspective, I am sure that at the end you will agree that being a mafioso is not the best (and easiest) option for your life especially because your friend will betray you, and you will have to kill him. After the war, they will kill you anyway.

The game was banned in Italy for some time in 2002 because the authorities viewed it as a perfect textbook to become a criminal. The most natural audience for this game are almost definitely Americans like you, but the publisher company of the PC version did a bad job when they promoted this game in the U.S. and the success in the U.S. was much weaker than the game's achievements in Europe. Therefore you are sort of lucky to read this review. Mafia might be the best game ever (so far, as of January 2004), and it is much less known in the U.S. than it should be (so far). Don't get manipulated by the advertisements of less perfect games. Buy Mafia, and you will be impressed.

This review is based on the PC version, but it's identical for all versions.

The game's graphics are nice, flows smoothly, and is colorful. There's a lot of cars moving around, and pedestrians too.

The game is a lot similar to GTA 3 and Vice City, only better. The gameplay is fun and hard. It's realistic (you run out of gas and need to refill), and has excellent sounds, voice acting, and intense gunfights too.

The sounds and voice acting is great and the story's excellent. You'll keep playing to see what happens next.

The only bad thing is that the cars are a bit slow--they're from the 1930s and move like so. They lose speed when going up hills, and there not fast overall. These cars are not sports cars.

Lastly, a realistic feature is that you can't just steal cars so easily. You need to learn how to do it (the game gives you the ability to do so) and you can't just steal a car in 1 second--there's a meter and it's your progress of picking the car's lock. People actually lock their cars, and you're picking the lock! Realistic!

This game is long and challenging. One of the best games ever made. Enjoy it!

Best Deals for Mafia - Xbox

I just finished this game yesterday and I loved it. It took me about a week off and on to beat it so it's not too bad. Getting to play a gangster and driving the old timey cars and hearing the 30s music and seeing 30s settings was definitely a nice change from the everyday game. The cinematic cutscenes were wonderful and the facial animations and graphics were very welld one. The rest of the graphics in the game could have been better though so I was slightly disappointed in that area. But the sheer fun of the game more than makes up for it. This was my first gangster game to play and needless to say I will be looking for more of that type in the future with Godfather out now and Scarface coming in the future towards the end of the year. This game is pretty violent and the language is pretty bad though...but after all, this IS a MAFIA game. There was only one real letdown in the game though, but I will let you find that out for yourself. Those things aside, I highly recommend this game to those of a mature audience. You will definitely enjoy it. Before I forget, there is an added plus to the game. There is a race mode where you can race old timey cars! Coolness indeed! There is also a free roam mode too. Neat! Go out, buy it, enjoy!

Honest reviews on Mafia - Xbox

(Note: I'm writing this review on my wife's account.) What got me interested in trying this old game, was I've been playing Mafia II on my PS3 & have absolutely loved it. I couldn't help but look into finding out more about this original Mafia game that I had somehow missed playing years ago.

First off, prior to my PS3 & XBOX 360, I spent countless hours enjoying playing a variety of games on my XBOX. I still love & respect it's capabilities for a 10 year old $200 console. I remember the $3K-$6K gaming PC's of 2002-2003 were far supperior in everyway. But, with that said, this is an XBOX review, not another PC comparision review.

Clearly, this is a 2003 gen XBOX game, but one of the best at the time. The graphics & audio was pretty nice for 2003. It has a very good storyline with a variety of challenging missions. Some can even be right down frustrating, like having to win the race on the "Race Day" mission. But, don't give up when a mission frustrasts you or you'll miss out on a very good story & rewarding game.

I loved the 30's period setting (1930-1938) & enjoyed seeing the cars change as you progressed through the game. I recommend doing all the alternative missions when presented, you will pickup some of the games best cars through them. Also, while working through a mission, look for any opportunities to nab an exclussive car that may only be available during that mission.

If you still have access to a good working XBOX & can appreciate not only going back in time to the 30's in the game, but also to the 2003 XBOX console gaming world, then I believe you won't be disappointed playing through Mafia on XBOX.

I thoroughly enjoyed this game & don't know how I missed out on it when it was new, but am certainly glad I found it now.

Power Supply Brick Adapter Cord and HD Component AV Cables for Microsoft XBox 360

The power supply has a built in fan which initially sounded like a good idea. However, what it sounds like is a large vibrating motor buzzing next to the xbox. It's surprisingly loud. Also, there's a constant odd smell almost like burning but not quite. Even with the fan, it can overheat after long periods. We have the xbox in a basement (so cool) and after several hours of children playing rock band, it will eventually red ring the 360. After cooling down, it works fine again. In a way, it's like a built in parent time control.

With my wife demanding some time on the large TV in the living room I wanted the option of moving the XBox360 to the den without having to uplug everything and drag cables around, etc.

Plug it all in and it's ready. Just that easy.

Okay soooooo, I ordered this bundle. The brick came but, not the AV cable. I sent emails to company and was quickly replied to. They are sending the cables now. Other issue, the brick I ordered will not fit Kinect. My fault. Now to return and reorder the correct brick. Frustrated but, the company is doing everything to make it right. I would order from here again.

I purchased this power supply brick adapter hoping it would fit an xbox 360 slim and it does NOT. The plug in on the back of a xbox 360 is a rectuagular plug in, as the xbox 360 slim is more of an oval plug in.

Hopefully this review will help others catch the same mistake I did before its to late.
