GOOD:

Tight fitting responsive controls (which can be adjusted).

Great looking graphics and effects, also the animations are done very well.

Shooting feels spot on, with more then a few guns (a grenades) to choose from (like rocket launchers, energy guns, ect... as for different types of grenades, you get ones like sticky and EMP to name a few). It should be also noted that while on foot you could pull weapons off mechs (only when the mechs are not in use) and use these over sized weapons.

Grappling hook -Shot (like the one in the Legend of Zelda Series or like the grappling hook from Tenchu), which lets you scale tall buildings, and fly across the landscape.

Online Gameplay (versus other players), this really helps extend the life/fun of the game long after you have beaten it.

BAD:

Enemies can be pretty cheap, Example, after you get hit with a powerful weapon like a rocket you go into a fall and have to get up to recover, during your recover animation many enemies will strike at you making you fall over again. What ends up happening is you get stuck into a cycle where you fall over after getting get shot at or hit and while getting up it happens again (enemies shoot you or hit you) so you never fully get back up and fight back, you just fall again. It is very hard to break this cycle after it starts; usually it only ends if the enemies miss or you die.

Using mechs or any energy weapon uses up you reserve of "Heat Energy". If your "Heat Energy" runs out you can't pilot any Vital Suit or use any energy weapon. It should be noted that in this game "Heat Energy" ties directly into your life bar if you run out of this "Heat Energy" your life will slowly drain till you die. This makes prolong use of any Vital Suit (Mech) or any energy weapon a risk to your health.

Pretty confusing story which many people will not get nor care to understand.

IF IT FITS YOUR TASTE:

Sci-Fi 3rd Person Shooter (camera behind the player).

The game takes place on a world covered in ice and snow, lots of levels have snow and winter theme.

Life energy or Heat energy plays a big role in this game, this energy ties directly into your life bar if you run out of this energy your life will slowly drain till you die. It should also be noted that this happens even while in doors and underground not just outside in the cold. The only way to refill this energy is to kill enemies or destroy objects in the game, by doing so you'll see a pool of gold colored substance when your characters body touches it your energy bar will refill.

Fight lots of "Bug" like enemies as well as human enemies.

Lots of mechs and Mech Combat mechs are robotic suits of armor you pilot, in this game they are called Vital Suits, they can also equip their own weapons.

Game is broken up into 11 levels (so essentially this a fairly short game).

Shoot at to collect "markers" for a higher score (there are "markers" in every level and the look like big spinning coins).

Wining matches online unlocks new character dress options for your online avatar.

Online portion of this game has your standard set-up with Death Match, Team Versus, ect...

ADDITIONAL NOTES:

This is the Special Edition of this game that comes in a metal case and comes with an Art book as well as a Mixed media CD (that contains Videos, Wallpapers/Photos, Music, and windows icons for your PC). This Special Edition also comes with a new multiplayer level (Battleground), which will be available to all Xbox Live players for free a few more months from now (people who got/get this Special Edition can play this multiplayer level early).

There are already a few new multiplayer levels available to buy over Xbox Live. The 4 new Levels ready for download and use in online multiplayer action they are called Radar Field and Island 902, which come in one pack and then there is Hive Complex and Trial Point which come in a second package. Both packages sell for 400 Microsoft Points or $5.00 USD each.

The Korean actor Lee Byung-Hun is the model for the main character named Wayne.

Lost Planet is a third person shooter spearheaded by Keiji Inafune (creator of the Megaman series) in which manages to place equal emphasis on both on-ground and mecha battle sequences. The setting takes place on an entirely cold driven planet. So cold in fact, that the player is required to gather "Thermal Energy" while in battle to maintain their body at a substantial temperature. You play the role of an amnesiac character by the name of Wayne of whom must unravel the secrets of his past, in the process bringing unity to the land.

The graphics and physics in Lost Planet are easily some of the best seen on a console game by far (rivaling that of Gears of War). In some instances (where the climate is cold as can be) excess snow can be seen accumulating on your character's clothing and track (on the ground) once having entered an opened door area. The particle effects and audio are perfectly done, along with debris physics. There are cases where you can interact with the environment, like say, shooting down a boulder (which will dissipate into rubble) on a mountain or fort to clear from an enemy stronghold. Another instance, is how you're enabled to shoot down a steel rail from a ceiling ontop of the enemy. The smoke effects can come with a price, as at times, it can be hard to maneuver yourself once enshrouded in large amounts. This helps add to the intensity of the battle. Music is also very coherently composed. Mostly orchestral, which helps give the game it's cinematic feel.

The detail in each enemy is simply amazing. Some boss characters are so well detailed and animated that they practically look tangible on the screen. Several enemies can been onscreen at once with rarely a trace of slowdown or a single drop in framerate (and some bosses take up nearly the entire screen).

However, that doesn't go without saying, as there are a few notable issues (nothing breathtaking) in LP. For one, the enemy A.I. is dimwitted for the most part. Snow pirates can easily be mowed down with simple run and gun tactics. It's also discouraging as to how (in some instances) an enemy can be knocked off of a mech, and won't even bother to get back on it. This is especially questionalable when there are several unused vehicles spotted on point, yet the enemy won't even bother to use any of them to their advantage. In other cases, the a.i. comes off too sensible, with the slightest sound setting them off on full alert without scrutiny. All in all, the enemy a.i. is a mixed bag.

Another complaint is it seems as though your character is constantly getting knocked down, then heaving (rinse, repeat). For instance, there was this time in which I was hit by a laser (which sent me sprawling to the ground) only for my character to raise and immediately get blown away by a rocket launcher. This can be frustrating at times. A better wake-up mechanic/command could have helped out to suppress this problem. Especially when you're having a hard time locating your character on screen due to all of the smoke and debris particles surrounding.

Last complaint is the lack of NPCs'. During the very first mission in LP, (the backstory stage) your character Wayne is fighting alongside multiple NPCs. This was a unique trait and feature, and it was rather disappointing to discover that none of this was carried into any of the latter stages in the game (unless you count the online mutiplayer). From that point on, you're all on your own.

With all of that said, Lost Planet is still an exceptional action-shooter. Some critics have panned the game for it's lack of innovation. Who said the game needed to be innovative, much less claimed to be unprecedented? The title does what it promises; deliver an action filled (but rather short, the game can be completed in under ten hours) shooting experience. While LP's not tactical like say, Rainbow Six or Gears of War, it's still a masterful shooter in it's own right, in how it manages to blend the words of third-person shooting and mecha immersively into one.

Lost Planet managed to sell over a million copies just two days after it's release in both the US and Europe. It's fairly safe to say that we'll be seeing more from the franchise on the 360 in the near future.

Part mech warrior, part fps, Lost Planet is an enjoyable shooter with a simple run and gun approach featuring linear boss based level design that is appealing as a throwback for long time gamers, though it will likely hurt the campaign replayability. For a $60 game thats a bit unfortunate, but if you have xbox live the multiplayer content should make up for that. Elsewise it would be better off as a rental.

As far as the controls and what not, it's not overly complicated but remembering which mech you are in and what the controls are would really be the only issue there. Well that and the annoyance of trying to pick up weapons for the mech itself. The B button serves several functions and if you don't line up properly over the weapon on the ground and press B you will exit the vehicle, especially bothersome during boss fights when you need to get weapons on the ground as quickly as possible...

The graphics are amazing, no arguing that, however the story really is pretty weak. It feels foreign, like something was lost in translation, which probably wouldnn't bother anime fans because the characters are basically cookie cutter stereotypes from the genre.

All in all, its fun but I must admit I was hoping for a more tactic based campaign with intuitive AI more in the vein of Gears, but LP is still a lot of fun and while not really offering anything new the gameplay feels very familiar. But like most others have already stated the multiplayer is really where the game shines.

I don't really like TPS (Third Person Shooters) as much as FPS (First Person Shooters) and mecha doesn't thrill me (I hated Mechassault) but this one does a pretty decent job.

PROS:

excellent graphics, good environments, snow, smoke, etc

some fantastic fire fights

multitudes of enemies and bosses all with there own behaviors and characteristics gradually introduced to you throughout the game

tons of work put into the cut-scenes (as much as a half-hour or an hour or so almost like a mini-movie) and you can thankfully bypass them!

decent amount of weapon variety with there own characteristics; you can also detach mecha weapons and drag them around

decent length to the game

although a TPS, you can zoom in with many weapons to make it appear as if you're in an FPS (although certain actions like reloading will throw you back into TPS).

vehicles the game shines here. It's a mecha game (they call it a V-suit) so you get a lot of different things to operate. Big boss anime-style mecha toward the end.

decent button/stick configurations (although no exact mapping)

never had to consult the internet because of some glitch or something I was required to do that wasn't intuitive.

CONS:

No save anywhere (though for the most part you will not need it)

the entire game bends on you collecting thermal energy (like collecting health packs or armor) or you die, but there is so much of it laying around that it never affects game play. There is no dire urgency to collect it much of the time. Plus, collecting 100 bits of it scattered all over the battlefield is rather annoying. Why not have the game require you to collect 1 pool of the stuff every so often.

camera isn't always cooperative. your view will occasionally go off into a place you didn't want it to.

main protagonist character acting leaves much to be desired. Plus he's a bit of a puss and never hits on any of the hot anime chicks in the cut-scenes. 10 million cut scenes and he never even gets to first base.

I'm going to place the story/plot somewhere in the middle even though I didn't really get into it. They put a lot of effort into it (you can tell with all the cut-scenes) and it's a little unfair to criticize games for bad or non-stories (Doom3 didn't need one). Overall a good combo of mecha/TPS.

I bought this game and played it all the way through on single player and it was about a 4/5 star game. It has great graphics, great gameplay but needed something else. Well then I played multiplayer on Xbox Live and this should have a 10 star rating, this is by far the best online gameplay of any game I have played to date, even better than Gears of War.

It is not clear, it is white.

Overall good, but I wish they said white. You can see barely see through it. It does keep the controller clean though. Obviously it does not cover the buttons, but you can clean those with rubbing alcohol or whatever.

Just changing it to four stars. I was looking at my review and the only thing I didn't like about it was how it was not clear. It doesn't really matter that much. So I added a star.

This ISN'T a clear skin. It is opaque and somewhat on the thick side compared to other skins -"sleeve" is an accurate description. If you are looking for a thicker skin, it would be awesome. I prefer a thinner skin most of the time, but did find it great for "deathmatch"-type scenarios where grip is everything.

Bought this sleeve in "clear" and "black" to replace some stick-on gel pads that finally unstuck themselves. Makes the controller more comfortable to hold and keeps things clean, without leaving any kind of stickiness behind.

Both colors are semi-transparent, the black (on a white controller) is a very dark grey due to the transparency. The "clear" is a milky color, certainly not solid white, and on a white controller is very nearly clear-looking. Might be an interesting effect on a colored controller. Slightly concerned about the pointy cut-outs around the button area, wonder if eventually they will curl, but otherwise excellent product.

It was a good controller. Only problem with this brand/company they do not offer a warranty! I would not recommend purchasing these controllers and paying this kind of money for something that doesnt offer a warranty. The screwdriver they include with this is GREAT! It's magnetic so the screws stick to it as you remove them which helps keep you from losing them like I ended up doing anyways. I had some trouble with the triggers but a quick youtube video straightened that out. WATCH OUT FOR THE SPRINGS IN THE TRIGGERS! All together the pieces didn't line up perfect until I got all the screws back in. Once I got all 7 scres back in it fit like a glove. One trigger is sticking just a little but I think a couple rounds of Halo will sort it out. It looks amazing and feels just as good. The sticking doesn't effect my playing whatsoever it's that light. Overall this is a GREAT deal for this price and spruced up my old black controller. I love it!

Another fun Sam and Max adventure. Fans will want it, just to see what the dog and bunny are up to. The plot was as bizarre as the fuzzy logic behind the puzzles. Voice acting was superb, as always.

"Sam and Max Hit the Road" was a masterpiece, and this title falls a little short. The script was a little dialog-heavy, and I found myself skipping through conversations. The animation and graphics were crisp, maybe a little too crisp, for this comic-based game. "XIII" comes to mind -a comic book look and feel would have been truly dazzling.

That said, the game was a lot of fun! Sure, the game falls short of "Hit the Road" and "Grim Fandango," but it was still very enjoyable.

alright now sam and max the devils playhouse is about psychic powers max finds along the way that help you out per episode (i think its pretty invetive). so instead of the point and click kind of game like the last two (three if you count hit the road) it uses the wasd keys to have you move while you can also use the mouse to click on things. if youre thinking on buying this game go to telltalegames.com (i think the price lowers for everything by $10.00 $15.00 everytime december rolls around. right now its the same price on telltale as amazon but amazon has free shipping while telltale doesnt (thats not bad either!) so overall (i havent been able to play the devils playhouse recently) from the looks of what ive played its a good adventure game so this is a must have for fans of sam and max if youre just being introduced to them this is a good start!

I never played any of the LEGO games before this, but always thought they looked like fun. They already have LEGO Star Wars, Harry Potter, Indiana Jones, and Pirates of the Caribbean, so I wondered when they were going to make LEGO Lord of the Rings. Being a HUGE LOTR fan, I had to get this.

For the first 2 or 3 hours, I was a little disappointed. I think my expectations were too high due to all the hype. Some previews were saying things like "this isn't just the best LEGO game, it may be the best LOTR game" and how it was going to be open world. One person called it "Skyrim for kids". It's not the best LOTR game...it's too condensed and too simple, and it really isn't what I consider "open world". Yes you can explore off the path and you can revisit locations as you wish, but you can't go too far and you can't for example take a different route to get to Mordor than they took in the book/movies. Some areas are fairly big while others are really small. Rivendell is pretty big, while Bree is like 4 or 5 houses, then when you leave you literally turn a corner, go over a hill, and there's Weathertop.

Once I got about 5 hours in though, I cast aside my preconceived expectations and began just having a blast. The cutscenes are HILARIOUS. I've laughed out loud so many times. It's a really fun game, and addicting. I like how you actually get to play as Isildur and fight Sauron at the beginning, and fight Saruman and the balrog as Gandalf, and get to play as FREAKING TREEBEARD and just step on orcs, and as Faramir and try to take down the oliphaunts! It covers the entire story and lets you play most of the memorable scenes. The fighting is a bit on the easy side (it's kind of like Fable 2 & 3 where you can't really "die", you just lose some money every time, which could have been used for buying new and better equipment), but there are puzzles that have had me stumped. It doesn't hold your hand and show you what to do.

As of this review I'm only halfway through The Two Towers, but seeing as how I haven't been able to find many reviews online I wanted to let people know how it is. If you're a fan, get it. It's a really good game and does the source material justice. There are little easter eggs in there that only big fans would get, like how Tom Bombadil is an unlockable character, and Peter Jackson makes a cameo in Bree (eating a carrot). I'm 30-years-old btw so you don't have to be a kid to enjoy this. Just don't expect "Skyrim for kids" or "the best LOTR game ever", but it's way better than most of the tie-in games that have been coming out in the last few years. I give it a 4/5.

UPDATE: I've now finished the Story Mode. It will take you about 9-12 hours depending on if you try to collect everything, but after you finish it tells you that you're only about 30% done with the game. Now you begin Free Play Mode and can now roam freely around Middle Earth collecting things and doing sidequests. There's also at least one bonus level (that I've discovered so far) that may be the best thing in the whole game...You get to play as Sauron, and the entire map of Middle Earth is now built out of LEGOs, not just the people. It's a lot smaller than in the Story Mode though. You go around with your mace and smash Minas Tirith, Edoras, Rivendell, Lothlorian, Bree, and Hobbiton into little LEGO bricks. The Mouth of Sauron follows you around as your companion. You can send the LEGO villagers flying with your mace...and there are sheep that you can ride around on as you spread your fear. So much fun. Anyway, it's a short game, but fun. The most open area in the game is Rohan/Gondor which is all one field but much too small for Rohan AND Gondor. You can see every landmark (Edoras, Helm's Deep, Isengard, Minas Tirith, and Mordor) on the horizon no matter where you're standing.

As a grown man in my 20's, I bought this game because I wanted something lighthearted and entertaining to play. I truly love LOTR, still own my Legos from childhood, and own several other Lego inspired video games and this game is already my favorite Lego game. For parents considering purchasing this game, be mindful that the game is intended for children 10 and up. There isn't anything vulgar or too mature for younger children, but I would say that some of the puzzles and objectives may be too advanced for a younger child to figure out on their own. However, if you willing to try the game for yourself, this could be a fun bonding experience.

What you need to know about this game:

1) Prepare to collect studs. Lego games consist of destroying objects throughout the environment to collect studs (think coins) that can be used to purchase additional characters, items (weapons, tools, etc), and unlocks that make the game easier (stud multipliers, quest finders, etc.) These characters and items can the be used during free play to access areas that were not accessible during the main narrative. Ultimately, this system adds a lot of replay value to the game, although it can be frustrating at times because it is sometimes unclear as to what character and item you need to access these areas. There is often a bit of trial and error.

2) Don't skip the cutscences. Even if you know the LOTR by heart and have seen the movies, it really is worth watching these scenes. It is nice that the the producers used the actual voices and dialogue from the films to bring this game to life, but what is particularly great about these scenes are the creative liberties they take. I couldn't help but laugh when the rings being depicted are bigger than the Lego characters' hands or to see Legolas comb Gimli's beard when he wasn't looking. Sure these things are highly ridiculous and inaccurate, but that is part of the fun of this game. Just enjoy it for what it is.

3) You can co-op with a friend, sibling, or spouse. My fiancee and I decided to join forces on this quest and really has been fun for both of us. The nice thing about working with someone else is that we can collect studs and find hidden items much faster because the environments are really large (arguably larger than any other environment in the Lego universe). The other thing about co-oping is that if we both want to go off an explore separate portions of the environments, the screen will go from a full screen (as long as we are close together) to a split screen. This is a good feature because you are not tethered to partner the whole time.

Drawbacks to the game:

1) During co-op, sometimes you'll actually damage your partner as you attack approaching enemies. There is no life penalty for "killing" your partner, but before they respawn, they drop a lot of studs you have collected that will need to be quickly recollected before they disappear. If you trying to reach "True Adventure status" on each level (basically collect enough studs to completely fill a gauge at the top of the screen) this can be problematic.

2) Split-screen can sometimes make it difficult platforming (jumping from one object to the next) because it can be hard to gauge distance and direction. If you fall off the map, you lose some studs. Although, there is an option where you can change split-screen to vertical cut through out the game which could make things easier.

3) The instruction manual for the game (provided in the game case) provides bare minimal explanation of the features of gameplay. Luckily, there are in-game instructions that appear at that bottom of the screen and statues that tell you where hidden items can be found. However, figuring out how to buy items, where to buy items, and how to get to where you need to go next can still be difficult if you haven't played a Lego game before. When stuck, you can always look up how to complete objectives online.

With all that being said, if you are a LOTR purist, then this game may not be up to your standards because it does not depict every nuisance and detail from Tolkien's tale, but if you can accept the game for what is designed to be--an entertaining way to re-experience Middle Earth--then this game is quite fun and worth owning. I am certainly glad I purchased it and I hope others will be too!

This is a great game for anybody despite the whole LEGO feel. I'm in my 20s and I'm enjoying the game all the same. It tells the LOTR story that we all love with the dialogue from the movies and the music and all. It has a cool open world aspect where you can explore zones and do quests that I've not seen in a LEGO game before. If you enjoyed other LEGO games or are a LOTR fan you will undoubtedly enjoy this one too. Check it out.

Lego has come so far with these games since they were first introduced. This one has full voice acting, great music, quests, and follows the movies very well. Great fun for the family, had my 6yr old playing with me no problem. Get it, its that good.

I am a huge fan of LOTR so I was over the moon when this product was announced. However, I have to say that it lacks the simplicity of previous games such as Lego Batman. The open world concept is a bit challenging when you take in the epic story and characters. Essentially you play through the entire story in story mode, and then you may replay parts of the story in Free Play mode. That does feel odd since you are essentially taking other characters where they wouldn't have been in the books. But if you are enormously attached to the books, this game may bother you as it had to make changes in order to accommodate two players at all times. In order to have two players, new characters are introduced or characters may appear earlier than they would have otherwise. The story follows the movie closely, with identical voice acting.

Two of the standout parts of the game are the Ent battle, and when Sam saves Frodo in the orc castle. I enjoyed the novelty of the first, and the puzzles and humor of the latter. The game is rife with humor, a lego trademark. The earlier parts of the game are more of a visual delight, with the elf settlements and Hobbiton. I enjoyed the game much more in this earlier part, then when the landscape became pretty much the same later on. But then, Fellowship of the Ring is my favorite book of the three.

Following Golem through the swamps is one of the most annoying sections of the game, along with some of the battles (the oliphants!). Sometimes it felt like every battle was also a puzzle. Some of these are easier if you have two players, as when you play single-player, the second "player" doesn't play very effectively.

The interface is more challenging than previous games, since now you have inventory. It isn't always obvious how to access your inventory. There are many characters to choose from, and buy, but it's not always easy to figure out how to swap characters. Sometimes the character you swap goes into the player 2 spot. Some puzzles are extraordinarily annoying (certain jumping sequences especially) in a way that I don't recall from previous Lego games. And every major story scene had some annoying battle where you had to do a certain sequence of movements. After the first runthrough, one has no desire to repeat these experiences, especially if many minutes were spent trying to figure out what to do while being killed by a troll repeatedly. Once you know how to do it, there's no challenge it's just rote repetition. Ironically, it's more of a challenge than some previous lego games where battle is just button-mashing, but sometimes when a girl comes home from work, she just wants to button-mash and beat up bad guys.

The game does have lots of tips to help you on your way. There are infinite ways to achieve things. Again, this goes to the lack of simplicity that made previous Lego titles so great. The concept is that in addition to each of the characters having special powers you can also craft and acquire items that give you the ability to do things.

Definitely this game will reach a more adult audience than lego Batman, with the scope of the story and the depth of the horror. Lego of course makes it lighter and less violent than the original. I think that's why Lego chose to make the game more complex, complicated, and wide-ranging.

Overall, I will give the game three stars because unlike Lego Batman, I do not wish to replay every scene to get the maximum score and items. The massive scale and number of things to do overwhelms me, and I actually dread my son asking us to play it again. It just doesn't have the fun factor. We played Lego Batman for months. I don't see the point of playing this game for months. It's too big to appreciate the small victories along the way. it's too difficult to figure out how to replay previous levels. Overall, I just had trouble making the adjustment. Although I do play complex games on my own (like Assassin's Creed, Dragon Age, etc), when I want to play a game with my child, I don't want it to be hard for ME to figure out, because that makes it less fun for both of us.

I'm sure that pretty much anyone interested in headphones know the Skullcandy brand. Their name is instantly recognizable, and their headphones can be found in many stores, ranging from their very entry level headphones, to their higher end Aviator and Mix Master headphones. They do not have a shortage of headphones, and as such, have been the target of a lot of criticism for not catering to audiophiles but to the domestic market. Personally, I can easily say that I do not have a lot of experience with Skullcandy products. My first pair of Skullcandy headphones were a pair of Ink'd IEMs that I bought ages ago loved. I didn't know a thing about headphones back then, but I do remember liking their sound signature, and their cheap price. The next product I had some time with was the Lowriders...a PINK pair, I had bought for my then girlfriend, hahaha. I have never been a fan of on ear headphones, and the Lowriders couldn't stay on my head. I honestly couldn't tell you if they were halfway decent or not. I have a slippery dome it seems, lol. I wasn't exactly pleased with them, and their build quality was quite lacking from what I'm used to today, but they were very inexpensive, and my girlfriend liked them well enough.

Anyways, my point is, I don't have a bias for OR against Skullcandy. What I DO know is that they have made great strides in improving their line and becoming more serious about the quality of their products. I can surely appreciate any company doing that. With the arrival of the SLYR, PLYR, and PLYR2 (with help from Astrogaming, which is well known in the gaming community, and which they now own), it's hard to not be curious about what Skullcandy has up their sleeves for us gamers.

So I'm approaching these headphones with a completely open mind. Okay, maybe not completely open. I do have ONE bias: I don't expect much from headsets. With as many headphones as I have owned and tested, gaming headsets have been, for the most part, disappointing. Save for the Sennheiser PC360 (which remains the best headset I have used, and still among the best competitively even among the amazing headphones I have owned), the next best headset for me was the Tritton AX720 which was decent, but not 'good' overall. They are excused as they come with a Dolby Headphone decoder box which more than makes up for their lack of pure sound quality. Everything else was borderline forgivable to 'blegh'. So, with that bad taste in headsets overall, the SLYR had an uphill battle, and that's before I even opened the package. Still, I was excited.

Hmm, the Skullcandy SLYR (pronounced Slayer). Upon opening the package and taking them out, I was still neutral. They were unassuming, and relatively stealthy in a dominantly matte black finish with sort of yellow/green 'windows' on the cups. From what I have seen of earlier Skullcandy designs, they tend to be fashion statements, with lots of urban/street flavors, etc. The SLYR is humble looking in comparison. I actually like this. I tend to prefer a more classy approach to my headphones, rather than ones that scream at you. The SLYR still has an edgy design to them with sharp angles, but it's not 'loud'. It's hip for the younger crowd, but still reserved enough for adults.

So that was my first impression on looks. Looks are not my top priority in a headphone. Comfort and sound first. How did they fare? Well, as soon as I put them on, I immediately thought: "Crap, these are on ear." I'm not a fan of on ears. Still, the pads were very soft, and they weren't pleather. Things I DEMAND in a headphone nowadays. I absolutely avoid pleather/leather like a plague. Then I realized, with a little bit of adjusting, the SLYR is actually circumaural/over ear! YES! Very happy about that. Certainly not the biggest cups, but they did fit my ears well enough (bigger openings than the Creative Aurvana Live, and much deeper pads). The SLYR is off too a good start, and I haven't even heard them yet.

As with every headphone I buy, my first listening test is ALWAYS music. Gaming comes later. I fired up some songs, let my ears adjust to their sound signature and soon after, I knew; Skullcandy meant business. These don't just sound like a good headset. They sound like a good headphone. PERIOD. I absolutely did not expect this sound coming from an $80 headset. The first thing that I immediately noticed was the balance between the bass, mids, and treble. I am not exaggerating in saying that headphones costing 3x the price of the SLYR can't manage to find such a great balance between fun and balance the way the SLYR does. I mean it. With the Sennheiser PC360, you get a really good and overall neutral-ish tonal balance, with not much sticking out of place, but not being exciting tonally. The SLYR on the other hand manages to sound balanced, with the right amount of bass emphasis and energy to make them exciting. They are forward sounding headphones, with not a hint of boredom in it anywhere. The Creative Aurvana Live sounds considerably more reserved in direct comparison, darker, and warmer. (which I had on hand at the time of review). While the CAL was still more refined overall, I have to say, I preferred the sonic signature of the SLYR. It was immediately more engaging and exciting. The SLYR isn't the fullest sounding headphone I've heard, nor the most refined, but they definitely got the balance right for my ears.

Bass: To be honest, I expected to have more bass than they did. I expected bloated bass. Bass that gets in the way of detail. This is NOT what I got. Instead, I got punchy, impactful, energetic bass that is quite present, but never overwhelming. It also has good speed and decay. Quite impressed with the SLYR's bass. A very good start. If I had to give the bass a quantity, I'd give them an 8. Plenty of bass for me. Not perfectly in line with mids and treble, but it's a GOOD emphasis.

Mids: I'm used to v-shaped curves, with bass and treble emphasis, and recessed mids. Yet, the SLYR has some pretty up front mids next to the typical v shaped can. Can't pinpoint if it's the smaller soundstage, or just the mids in general, but they certainly weren't what I consider really recessed. Maybe just slightly so next to the bass, but I'd say they're pretty in line with the treble. They are pretty forward in the sense that vocals are near you basically at all times unless a song purposely mixes them further back.

Treble: You either expect dull, veiled treble, or treble that is too sharp, too spiky, too peaky. Again, the SLYR surprises in it's sonic characteristics. The treble is energetic, but it's not harsh. It's very close in balance to the mids for me. It is RARE for treble to be in the safe zone between too soft, and too harsh. The SLYR is DEFINITELY in that safe zone. I honestly wish the DT990's treble had a similar line. That's right.

Amping: As to be expected, the SLYR is a very efficient headphone, and I didn't feel they needed any extra amping.

Soundstage: This is definitely the only aspect of their sound that I was personally not entirely happy with. Part of it is because I'm grown so accustomed to open headphones, with an airy, wide/deep soundstage, and going back to a closed headphone's soundstage and typical closed headphone signature is a bit jarring. After getting used to the closed headphone sound, I'd still say the SLYR's weakest aspect is the soundstage. It's relatively small even comparing other closed headphones. I have VERY little experience with closed headphones, and I feel that out of the few I have on this guide, the SLYR is near the bottom in terms of soundstage. Thankfully, everything else is so good, so this drawback doesn't hurt as much. Still, it is small, and everything sounds pretty packed together next to other headphones in direct comparison like the CAL and A40s (the two main headphones I had on hand).

Positioning: Now that we're getting into the gaming side of this review, the first thing to discuss is positioning. Since I feel that positioning is very dependent on soundstage, I feel they did suffer just slightly compared to my faves. That is the nature of closed headphones (with the exception of the D7000, and DT770s which have some truly large soundstages for closed headphones), and the Pro 900 which, with the aid of S-Logic helps give a sense of depth not typically found on closed headphones, though not by much. The SLYR does place positional cues properly around you, though with the lack of soundstage, there isn't much space between you and the virtual space to make pinpointing easy. Still, it does a good job. Not great. I was able to dominate pretty easily in Call of Duty 4, and didn't feel lie I was at all hampered by the SLYR's positional cues. I didn't feel like they gave me a huge advantage compared to some of my fave headphones, but they did their job well. Again, good. Bear in mind, the SLYR was definitely marketed as a stereo headset with a mixer that plugs into RCA cables. I'm fairly certain that those who play in stereo will have VERY little to complain about.

Clarity: The SLYR is a warm headphone, but with enough crispness to say that they are plenty detailed for gaming. The closed design hurts clarity again only compared to open headphones like the PC360 and K701. As a closed headphone, I found them to have a nice balance between fun and detail-whoring, so I'd say that if I had to rate clarity separately, they'd get a 7 (good). I doubt there will be any complaints about clarity, especially at their price range.

Comfort: Pads? Soft, deep, comfy velour. They could definitely be bigger as larger ears MIGHT make these on ear ear headphones. Clamp? Not too loose, not too firm. I find them just right. Weight? Very light. Check. They stay relatively in place at all times, with not a lot of readjusting needed. A huge win here.

Microphone: The microphone is permanently affixed to the SLYR, but like the PC360, you swing it upwards. Unlike the PC360, the mic on the SLYR tucks away nicely into the cup, and is relatively well hidden when not in use. it's also small, but sensitive enough to pick up my voice quite easily. My voice came through clearly on my PS3 device settings, so I have very little to say about it, other than it does it's job well. It may be just a little too sensitive for my setup, as I have a large, noisy fan near me, and the mic picks it up unless I sit further back than what I'm used to. Still, that shouldn't be an issue for most people.

Build Quality: The SLYR is made out of all plastic. The plastic feels sturdy enough for my taste, somewhat reminiscent of the PC360 plastic. I have more faith in tossing these around than I would the Creative Aurvana Live. Assuming you're not abusing the hell out of the SLYR, I don't see these breaking with normal use.

Accessories: The SLYR comes with a stereo mixer. Think of it as a stereo alternative to the Mixamp, with the ability to mix voice/game audio at your desired levels, with three different EQ presets. One bass heavy, one flat, and the other treble heavy. I personally don't have much use for the Mixer since I own the Mixamp and prefer gaming in Dolby Headphone surround, but I did test the mixer and found the presets to work relatively well, and the mixer to also work pretty well in mixing game and voice without a lot of distortion. If anything, the closest alternative to this Mixer is the Steelseries Spectrum Audio Mixer, which retails for $40 and is for the 360. The SLYR's mixer works for both the 360 and PS3 (as well as PC). I didn't find a need for the EQ presets as the SLYR already has such an agreeable sound signature.

The Mixer has a very lengthy cable terminated in RCA jacks with piggyback female inputs. The Mixer is powered by a standard USB plug, and comes with a 3.5mm input for ANY headphone, as well as the 2.5mm input for the 360's controller for chat audio. The SLYR comes with a detachable 3.5mm male/male cable (a bit on the short side, IMHO) that carries chat audio. You can indeed use your own 3.5mm male/male standard audio cables, though the entry on the headset side may not accommodate thicker plugs. I found that the CAL's extension cable fit, but the first gen Astro 3.5mm cables didn't. I used the CAL's extension on the headset side, and my own 3.5mm male/male cables on the female end of the CAL's extension cable when using the SLYR for music on my main headphone setup (non-gaming). Basically, you will want cables with thin 3.5mm plugs if you want a lengthy cable for the SLYR. I don't know where to get lengthy ones that also carry voice audio, unfortunately.

Value: $80 gets you a damn good headphone that just so happens to actually be a headset. Convenience, comfort, and a relatively forward, engaging, and still balanced tone makes the SLYR the very first headset in the sub-$100 bracket that I recommend to anyone who absolutely needs a headset.

Final Impressions: While the SLYR isn't perfect, and aren't as refined as to what I'm personally used to (hello "Head-fi standards"), I must say that even with my higher end tastes, I really, REALLY like the SLYR from the sound, all the way to the comfort. These are great for music, pretty good for fun gaming, and good enough for competitive use. Skullcandy's first serious gaming headset gets a solid B from me, and have made me a true believer. I can't wait to see what else Skullcandy has up their sleeve. If their $80 headset is this good, I have high hopes for their higher end models. One last thing that you will want to know: I prefer the SLYR over the A50s.

Final Scores...

Fun: 7.5 (Pretty good. They really did a great job in finding a great balance between fun and balance. Very impressive for this price.)

Competitive: 7 (Good. They absolutely do their job. I'd say stereo gamers will particularly love them, kind of like how I personally see the M50s if a little better in terms of positional cues. For us virtual surround gamers, I'd still say they are worth looking into if you absolutely need a headset.)

Comfort: 7.5 (Very good. Those with larger ears may have to use them as on ear as mentioned before, though they are still comfy in that way.)

I've had this headset since about a month before Christmas and I must say that the sound from it is *above* what I'd normally expect from Skullcandy and I usually prefer the Skullcandy Ink'q headphones, which are usually pretty good sounding cheap ones. These however make them look like tin cans tied together on string! The bass is where I like it, the sound is so crisp and clear that when I played Mass Effect 3 with them on for the first time. I was noticing sounds that I had *never* noticed before. With even the TV at a loud setting, I don't recall hearing footsteps from whenever I walked but with the headset, I was doing much more than hearing them, I was *feeling* them with the bass! I played other games and could hear the bullets as they whizzed by my head (saved my life a few times too!) Oh, one thing to note about the sound. The headset can start out *loud* but the in-line controls can easily turn it down to a comfortable setting. Be sure to turn the tv to mute(won't affect the headset unless you use the TV headphones port) or you won't hear anything and the headset can adjust the sound for either voice or game sound. Oh, and the leather ear coverings can muffle sound quite a bit, combined with the high volume it can start out with, you might miss your boss calling you on your phone to tell you that you're late again. Lol!

I did test hearings of Turtlebeach X-12's, Astro's from Best Buy and the Slyr had the best sound, best mic (never did like having to move it in front of my mouth) and plus the Slyr mic could be put away making it look like a normal pair of over-the-ear headphones. The others that I tried were good sounding, tho the x-12's oddly sounded better than their higher number versions. The Astro's had good sound and comfort. The Slyr had great sound and was the most comfortable to me out of all the ones I tried. Like any over-the-hear deals, they could get a little warm when wearing them for prolonged periods but that may not be a bad thing when you're outside during cold weather. lol! :)

One thing I liked about the Slyr is that the default cord that goes from the in-line usb one to the headset is just the right size for going from the headset to my pocket, where the others where so long that I was left wondering what to do with all the extra cord. Another selling point for me was that the Slyr was Xbox,PS3, and of course PC/phone/mp3 player compatible. :)

I found you could plug them into a phone (if it took normal headphone jack) and use it for listening to music or use the mic and have a conversation with people. People would tell me that they couldn't tell that I was using the headset versus the normal phone mic. Although for me, it saved me from having a hot phone pressed against my cheek and freed my hands to do chores that required both hands.

The headset was also more easier to adjust upon my head than some others. Some headsets were the "one-sizes-fits-all" and thus required "stretching" to get comfortable in, if at all. The Slyr were comfortable and adjustable from the get-go since it had fabric padding on both the headband and ears. Both the headband slides up and down as well as the ear padding was big enough for someone like me with big ears to fit within them and even people with in-ear hearing aids can wear them without them squealing due to over-closeness. Even when wearing glasses, you can wear them comfortably as they don't press too tightly like some others do to leave them hurting you.

If the in-line boosting and volume controls are not important to you, you can use the headphone cable to connect to your tv's headphone port and still use the usb part of it to connect with the xbox to your xbox controller. It'll look weird but still work. So truthfully there are lots of ways of using a headset like this.

So whether you are using it for talking on a console, your phone, or just listening to your mp3 player blast music at you. You can't go wrong. This is just a plain awesome headset.

If anyone has used them for the PS3, I'd be happy to hear their experiences.

PS> Like any headset that costs more than $12, you should treat them with care. Don't grab them by the earpads. Grab them *gently* by the headband. These aren't your $12 headset that comes with the xbox, they are a sound investment in your hearing pleasure. So if you do grab it by the earmuffs, don't twist as you pull them off. That's the easiest way to break *any* headset. I've seen too many youtube reviews and friends where they break even $300 headsets by rough twisting or improper handling and in some cases just bad placing where they can get stepped on by a friend or family when one's not around or chewed on by the family pet. Remember: all things these days are made with a limited lifespan (on purpose) to get them to break and you buy them again. If you take gentle care of them, then they will last far longer than the manufacturer wants them to last. :)

I liked the headset A LOT! There isn't many reviews on Amazon so I based most of my judgment of the product from the reviews on Skullcandy's website (very good reviews).

The problem I had was with the mic. First kind of annoyance is no mic monitoring, I think I get a little loud sometimes because of this. Second is the entire headset worked great for about a week before the mic started going dead one day while I was deep into a game that requires me speaking through the mic to get even further (Tranzit zombies on Black Ops 2). My friend suddenly couldn't hear me. I realized and made sure my connections were all good (they were) and finally just unplugged and replugged the USB, and the mic came right back up again. Literally a couple of minutes later the exact same thing happens.. So I go through the unplugging and replugging, problem solved... Then a couple minutes later the problem happens again.. This happened a good 10 or so times before the game finally ended.. Frustrated I just stopped playing and hoped it would never happen again. A couple of days went by and everything was fine. Then it happened again... same thing.. Every couple of minutes. even more frustrated I called Skullcandy who did offer to replace them which was great. They said it would take a couple of weeks. I opted to return them.

DON'T GET ME WRONG!!

I liked the headset A LOT until I had the mic problem. Very comfortable, awesome sound, and style. The wire is 5 meters long so plenty of length to reach anywhere in the room. Some people complain about the set up but even that took no more than 10 minutes.

I just have a hard time keeping an item I paid $85 for and having it fail in 1 week... Very disappointed skullcandy.

Last but not least. I submitted a review that almost exactly mirrored this one on Skullcandy's website (I didn't have it saved so I can't remember what I wrote word for word) and they rejected it in a noreply email. If nobody can leave an honest review on their website without it being rejected, then the reviews aren't valid in my opinion. Made me even more frustrated with Skullcandy.

lol dude. You can use an HDMI cable and just plug your component cables in also and only use the audio from it. Or you can buy a $5 piece made JUST FOR THIS. And on top of all that. The VGA cable used by MLG pro's that play on computer monitors because of the lag time, comes with component audio cables. Do your research before you leave a bad rating. This is an excellent headset. Great value for the money. You just need to stop being so technology illiterate.

Though it suffered a number of release delays and with the dreaded fact that it is a licensed video game, The X-Files: Resist or Serve is a surprisingly good game, even though it draws many comparisons to various Resident Evil games because of it's presentation. While it suffers from graphical glitches and a few gameplay and control issues, Resist or Serve still shines thanks to it's mix of survival horror and puzzle elements. Playing as FBI Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully; you investigate a series of bizarre and brutal murders in the town of Red Falls, Colorado. The game's story is written by veteran X-Files show writers, so the game's story plays out much like the lost episode that it is claimed to be. Mulder's story is more action oriented as you take on hordes of zombie-ish creatures, while Scully's story is puzzle oriented as you combine various toxins and perform autopsies. The puzzle elements are a nice diversion than the usual "find the key to open the door" type puzzles that are populated throughout other games of the genre, and that alone is refreshing. The character models of Mulder, Scully, A.D. Skinner, the Lone Gunmen, Alex Krycek, and the Cancer Man are nicely rendered so that each character resembles their series counterpart, but the character movement comes off as wooden. The sound of the game is where Resist or Serve shines as each actor reprises their role (thats right, David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson are on board as Mulder and Scully) and the music recycles various episode scores and sounds brilliant. All in all, The X-Files: Resist or Serve is a surprisingly good game that any and every X-Files fan should check out.

Fabulous that they were able to get the stars to agree to do the voices for the Game! This game isn't perfect, but for me it was just what I was looking for in a new game. It had a little Resident Evil(Zombies), Silent Hill (Eerie Surroundings) and then the X-files storyline! After I got used to the controls and what the game was about I was hooked. The main complaint for me was it wasn't longer! If they do a sequel I will have it on preorder as soon as I hear about it.

It has the bit of mystery of the X-files but is basically a combo game with shooting/puzzles and even a few Autopsy's thrown in. They really have a place to go with this game if they choose to.

I know that doesn't answer all your questions about the game, but it's worth trying. If you don't want to buy it check it out at your rental store.

First of all, I am not a huge gamer and am at times horrible at them. However, I am a huge fan of The X-Files TV show and searched all over local video game stores to find a copy of this game. It was worth it. I ended up playing this game for 10 hours. There are some things you should know.

First, this game has been designed with the X-Files fan in mind. They brought in all of the cast members to do voice work. The storyline is engaging, entertaining and is a total mythology episode. There is a lot of animated sequences in this game, where all you can do is sit and watch the story progress. Just like a epsode of the show! The music, theme song, and sound effects are all from the TV show. It's great!

Secondly, while the emphasis was on the fans of the TV show, die hard gamers might get a little annoyed with this game. Playing this game, the camera angles will change on you and of instead of seeing Mulder or Scully's point of view from the back, you see them from the front and your reaction will be to change your direction with the controller. Also, and it might not be kosher to say this, but if you get stuck with the game and aren't a big gamer like myself, there are a number of websites with cheat codes and game play hints.

If you go into this game with the idea that it was designed with fans of the TV show in mind, you will have an excellent experience with this game. It's just like the show!

This game is *really* creepy, and interesting to follow even for non-X-Philers! If you have the episodes on DVD, a must is to review the episodes "Tunguska" and "Terma", as you will hit all the characters, and heck, your X-File has to do with an incident in Tunguska, Russia.

There's lots of inside jokes for the fans, I'm not even finished with the first episode, but I've noticed "Lazarus street", the beer bottles have the betty tattoo from "Never Again" on them, the soda machine from the movie is in the garage stop, and going into the "Adult" section of the video store when you're Mulder is a must...

On the main menu there's a really cool (but long) "intro" which is a bunch of X-Files moments set to a Mark Snow tune. Really awesome.

This game is really awesome. If you've played Resident Evil then you will have the buttons down in no time.

It's true. Movie/TV-Show tie in games really can work. And this one does perfectly.

From the opening CGI teaser to the X-Files opening credits, you know you are about to play something special.

The best way to describe X-Files Resist or Serve, is Silent Hill with your favorite TV characters thrown in. But don't let that put you off. The game is scary. I mean, really scary. The music adds an awesome atmosphere to the game and the graphics are impressive.

All the horror, humor and suspense from the series, are included in this game.

The only negative comment I would make on the game is weapon control. I found it hard to shoot at my attackers before they were bearing down on me and biting my neck. But then, I find it hard to have good control when I'm jumping so much and panicking so maybe it's just me.

The game contains two paths that you can take and this is decided by choosing either Mulder or Scully as the character you wish to be. So, you have two games in one.

X-Files fans, you have to have this game.

For those that aren't fans of the series but like scary games such as Silent Hill and the drawn out franchise, Resident Evil, this is definitely one for the collection.

Be warned, I can't put this game down for hours. I just have to keep searching for the truth.

Great concept, and more similar products should be designed. HOWEVER, I would not recommend setting up your Xbox in a vertical position during use. It looks fancy to sit your Xbox up like that, but over time it takes a toll on the disc reader due to the unnatural strain of a vertical spinning disc. If you would like to preserve your hardware, I would set it up in the traditional horizontal position with the Xbox words facing up.

Everyone that says this has no airflow, you did not purchase this product, the back is open and the bottom has holes and the curves do allow really good airflow. It is extremely sturdy and comes with very sturdy bolts to connect each peace and contrary to the picture it is not plastic. Additionally it looks very nice and stylish looking.

S.Der, you have no idea what you are talking about. I've had this product for months now, and I have never had an overheating issue. Not once. There are plenty of holes and open space in the back, on the sides, and all around my Xbox 360 Slim to allow for ideal airflow. Obviously you have never actually tried this product, or you'd know what I meant. Shame on you for trying to scare people away from this product.

This product does everything it says it will. I'm even going to get the storage blocks for underneath it because I have more games than will fit on the top shelf! The only thing they could use is to include the cord covers as well. But the product itself is very sturdy, while still providing plenty of airflow for the console. You can even store extra controllers on it. I have uploaded my own personal pictures of the system for your viewing pleasure. See, S.Der? No RROD after 3 months.

The shelf is so nice and does exactly what I want it to do. The only thing is the directions weren't very good. But its a shelf so it is kinda common sense. And the directions to put it into the studs in the wall weren't very good. But the shelf is very sturdy. It says it only supports 25 pounds but it holds more than that and its still sturdy.

No, No, and No!!!

If you're planning to get this for your 360 FAT or slim system than don't! If you know anything about airflow, you can see that no airflow can really get into this storage unit. The system looks like it's blocked off at all sides almost. The top part is almost covered off. The sides is all blocked off. The bottem is wayyyy blocked off. Also, the back is blocked too!!!

S curves? S curves?? S curves????? What the heck?

You tell me how is the 360 going to breath in there? It won't. lol

I will say using this thing for about a month to three months will kill your system for sure. In other words, RROD!!!

The Wii will be okay for this thing. But if you're going to put a 360 or PS3 in this thing, then it's a bad idea.

A little background. Before college, I bought Forza 2 and a racing wheel for my xbox 360. My dad loved to play this game with me for 2 reasons, he loves sports cars and he could never figure out first person shooters. Growing up in the 80s/90s I was always a Nintendo kid. Then I discovered PC gaming and I was hooked until just recently when I purchased my Xbox 360. I had stayed away from console gaming due to the less than amazing graphics and coarse control surfaces that were difficult to learn. This bundle is a great deal. I was considering just getting a 4bg xbox for $200. However, for only 50 dollars more you get 250 gb hard drive, a fun game with an amazing controller (the race wheel). Anyways, my five year old xbox box finally bit the bullet 2 months ago and I decided to get a new one since my XBOX gold membership had already automatically renewed. I originally just wanted to get the 4gb to play Assassin's Creed 3, and buy a couple flash drives for extra memory. However, the price of the 4gb xbox plus the flash drives would only be a few bucks less than the 250 rig. As it stands right now I am having a lot more fun with the racewheel and Forza 4 than I am with Assassin's Creed 3. If you need a new xbox this seems like the one to get, as the holiday bundle doesn't include the racewheel and the games don't appear to be compete titles.

The steering wheel sucks. IF you are buying Forza for being an awesome racing game you will not enjoy the steering wheel unless you have nothing better to do. It does work good, but just isn't fun. If i want a wheel I'll go drive my truck.

We own all of the Kinect titles for kids and this one has taken my daughter by storm. It's far and above her favorite title. Forget the dancing, rafting and sports titles. This one has stolen her heart (in a good way).

My 6 year old girl gets a lot of joy out of taking her bears/cats on various adventures. And as a dad, I'm impressed with the re-playability of this game. The landscape for adventures and puzzles is immense and I don't see her finishing off all of the adventures for months to come.

As for the bears, they're nice to have as an option (as well as the additional island for their adventures). But even with the cats alone, this game is a ton of immersive fun.

A FEW TIPS

Animal Gestures There are two pages in the instruction booklet that show you how to make your bear do tricks (motions you make so the cats roll over, stand on their hind legs, etc.) and use spoken commands to switch the play mode (grab a toy from the toy box, view the map, etc.). Copy these two pages, laminate them and keep them handy. It's hard for anyone (grown-ups included) to remember all of these maneuvers that are needed frequently throughout the game. Especially useful if you put the game down for a few days and forget these needed gestures.

Occasionally Need To Read Unless your child can read, a parent helping out the first few times will go a long way. The fairy-like assistant in the game will step your child through a number of things verbally and even demonstrate with her little fairy body any movements you have to make. But she doesn't repeat herself in certain situations. And a little text prompt will appear instead. If your child can't read the prompt (like, "Get your bear to stand on its hind legs by holding your arms out in a `T' shape"), they might not be able to complete a challenge before the timer runs out.

OTHER THOUGHTS

The game is delightfully forgiving. There's no "Awww too bad!" when a child doesn't complete a timed challenge in the allotted time. Your child is free to roam around and perform free play, play 'in the world' and just rub, scratch or clean her little pet instead of being nagged to complete the next step of an adventure or challenge.

My daughter enjoys collecting the points necessary to add items to her collection to outfit her little cat's home. It's like a mini online collection (and far less messy than the Polly Pocket paraphernalia all over her bedroom floor).

Overall, a good, immersive game that's got tons of repeat playability for little kids 5 and older.

Great game, can't say enough about it. Whether you are a fan of the orginal, or this is your first time, you will love this game...if you keep in mind it is a kids game. Nothing more, but way too cute. BUT WARNING, you don't seem to have to shell out $50 for the "now with bears" if you own the 1st game. For about $15 you can get the bears as a DLC add on.

Was very excited to get these controllers, I ordered two. Purple is my daughter's favorite color, so I got her one and got my brother's wife one as well. I tested them out, and they never did connect to my xbox. I tried everything, and they would not connect.

I ordered them because I read the other reviews on here saying about how wonderful they worked, etc. I got them, and they did not work, so some of the controllers work, but others don't.

I've been waiting for this product to hit my doorstep for 2 weeks, not just because the facility may have been far, but because something stupid happened with this thing getting here. According to the Amazon tracker, this product went from Bell Gardens, CA to Jacksonville, FL. AND I LIVE IN CALIFORNIA. After complaining about this to HDE, I guess they shipped another one or rerouted the other one to my house in CA. Such a waste of time that could've been avoided probably, but whatever.

Other than the terrible shipping problem, the product itself is good. I was able to open my white Xbox 360 and fix my RROD. Still if you have an option to not order from this place, just consider my experience. Could've just been a bad week/month for them, but still.
