Just got this item in the mail today. Upon opening and looking at my new item there was not only 1 rip and not even 2 rips. There were 3 rips on the skin. One of these rips goes almost all the way through making this product usless. Its not even worth returning due to postage. This product is very flimsy and can tear very easily without even being used obviously. I gave it 2 stars because if it werent so tearable it actually looks good on a controller and feels good while on the controller. So your choice. Buy it or not but be prepared for a few rips.

This was a fun game with some great graphics and overall gameplay. While there were a few parts in the game that seemed a bit choppy in regards to how the animation plays into the mix, but outside of this I loved the ability to be able to work with the Autobot that I wanted to work with and change as needed too. Also, I have played a few Transformers games in the past and though there were a couple of rougher spots, this by far surpassed my expectations and if you are a transformers fan, you will just love this game, and even if you are just becoming a fan or have just learned about the movie or series you will also really enjoy the overall game, story line and adventure that you are placed in!

The game is very exciting and full of action. It's a little hard for smaller kids to play, coordinating with the nunchuck and controller. Older kids and adults would have no problem. Many have been saying that this game was a disappointment and too short. All I care about if some parts of the game are actually relevant to what is projected on the show. This game is action-packed, and simply an awesome game. Each character has their unique combos and special attacks, and I love how you can just ram the cons off the cliffs (I have done that an hour straight once, it's that fun to me ^^). Battling Megatron down to the final stand was always fun, and being able to play against your friends in Multiplayer Mode is always fun to. Thunderwing was a very unique addition to the game, I liked how they incorporated him as a final boss, because as any other Transformers game, the final boss would be Megatron. But, this game was like: "HOLD IT, Megatron's NOT the last boss! Meet THUNDERWING!". That's what really exceeded my expectations and really made the game fun, having Optimus utilize with the Matrix of Leadership was awesome, and defeating Thunderwing just made me feel like I've achieved something.Don't listen to those who keep complaining that it's a short game! I just replay the levels so I get a perfect score/rank on each of them, to kinda 100% the game, y'know? This game is a must buy to Transformers Prime fans and all Transformers geeks out there!

My 7 yr old and I are big fans of the Transfromers Prime show and this game is based on that. Does a great job of letting you play as each member of the team and is challenging but not too hard for him to beat. He finished the game in 2 days but still loves playing over certain levels. Downforce Reviews
This game could be considered the Daytona USA of F1 racing; it's decidedly arcadey, slightly over-the-top, and not for everyone, but nonetheless still rather fun.
Graphically the game is alright... the cars and tracks are rendered quite nicely and details like air streaming off the rear spoiler, damaged parts wobbling and smoking and brake rotors glowing add some ambience, but overall nothing really jumps out and grabs you other than the impressive movie-style crash sequences. Sound is also average, nothing really stellar but it won't make your ears bleed. The high-pitched engine whine may annoy your dog, though.
The tracks offered in the game are quite challenging from a technical point of view, but often become amazingly frustrating due to the cars. As the game's name suggests these cars are highly dependent on downforce for their control, so when parts get damaged or knocked off they become increasingly harder to get around the corners without whacking into something.
Adding more to the frustration is that AI cars have no problems with shoving you around (possibly a product of the league's "no rules" format?), so if you try to pass on a corner you can expect them to try and wreck you. Speaking of wrecks, don't expect your spotter to warn you of them ahead of time... he usually only cuts in to complement you on passes or tell you to speed up if you're trailing the pack. Those flaws aside, the game does have its bright spots. There's enough variety in the tracks to test your skills, and while the cars are largely similar in performance each one has a special trait that can be used to your advantage (Jackhammer's car has very low drag which gives it an edge in acceleration, Hiroo's car has superior braking, and so on).
If you liked Daytona USA, this game will probably appeal to you right off. If you believe that all racing games must be like Gran Turismo, then don't bother. Everyone else, rent first and see if it suits your tastes.

A pretty cool racing game with noticably awesome crashes, and cool tracks. While the level of car and track detail is low, it blases at 60 FPS and provides wholesome crashes. Fun to play with a friend as well.Best Deals for Downforce

Best NFL Street 3 - PlayStation 2 Deals
As an owner and player of the first two games, I had high hopes for the third installment of NFL Street. The good news was that the graphics and rosters had been updated. The bad news is that after playing the game for at least an hour with a friend, glitches were evident. I do not remember all of them, but there is a terrible glitch as the line of scrimmage. Before the ball is snapped, the defensive linemen can pretty much jump over the offensive line and sack the quarterback whenever they want. The game loses all appeal when you can't get any positive yardage. If you do not use this glitch, I can see the game being fun with a new list of moves and a new way to use gamebreakers. Overall, I give this game 2 stars out of 5.
IMO this is as good if not better than the first two street games. There are more features... more players... new cities to play in and more game features. One new feature that I think is neat is you can collect footballs during games and after you collect them you can use them as the game football. There are all 32 team footballs (each having it's own unique design) and then other footballs that have different objects on them. There are like 50 different footballs you can collect in all.
In my opinion there are not many negative factors to the game other that the fact that it would be nice if the folks at EA Big made the controls more similar to Madden 07. I confuse the controls sometimes

The NFL Street series are my favorite games out of them all. I prefer the Street series even over the Madden series. To me, it is just more fun to play and there are more things to do... climbing on and running along walls, jumping off objects to hurdle players, pitching the ball whenever, multiple tips on almost every incomplete pass makes for exciting football.IMO this is as good if not better than the first two street games. When I first purchased NFL Street 3 I was somewhat dissapointed; however, after learning the controls completly I found that this maybe the best NFL Street yet. The graphics are much improved and the ablity to jump is a nice feature. Also the gamebreakers are much improved so when you use one, you are not guranteed to score unlike in the past 2 games. Although I have read in other reviews that Respect The Street mode is a negative part to the game, I would have to disagree. It was hard for me to give this a 2 because I am a big fan of EA Big games but this is a sheer disappointment... Every drive ends or begins with a fumble on offense and if not that your picked off a lot or 4 and outs constantly... It is almost impossible to get a completion. Review of Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance
This is one rental that actually turned into a purchase. I'm usually not a fan of hack and slash type games, but this one has turned out to be quite entertaining.
Like other games in this genre, Dark Alliance is a third person perspective game (kinda 2.5D) in which you venture through cellars, mines, dungeons and even outdoor environments like mountain and villages. Levels typically end with a "boss" of varying difficulty and combat style. Gameplay is mixed with first person cut scenes in which you converse with other characters in a multi-choice format.
Interestingly, you can only save your game at certain points. At first this seems annoying, but there are enough save points around the game so it isn't too bad. Another big plus is that saving is really quick. If you've played games like Morrowind, where saving and loading are good opportunites to grab a drink, then you're in for a treat. Unfortunately you can only save about 25 games at once and there is no way to describe the saved game. A bit annoying, but oh well.
I'm not too much of a D&D fan, so I can't comment on how true this game is to the ruleset. However, as you move through the game you'll acquire better goods and have to manage your inventory and make decisions about how to develop your powers as you advance levels. Who knows if these mechanisms are authentic enough, but they are fun.. :)
Finally, one of the best aspects of the game (and why I ended up purchasing it) is the two player option. This put two players on the screen at the same time, working together to battle through the game. I find this style of multiplayer play to be much more enjoyable than split screen, and this is one of the few games that offers it.
Let's start with the good points. The game is pretty fun if you're into hack-and-slash types, especially with two players. Any game with a two-player cooperative mode always scores points with me. The graphics and sound are very good, and the game is easy to learn and easy to control.
There is some replay value to it, as there are some new modes you can unlock by finishing the game. Beat the game once and you'll be able to play a special game mode that puts you in a tough dungeon on a short time limit, playing as none other than Drizzt Do'Urden. Beat that mode, and you unlock Extreme difficulty in the normal game, which is several times more difficult than usual. If you manage to beat Extreme, you can play as Drizzt in the normal game.
There are some bad points to the game, however. It's extremely short; you can beat it in under 10 hours. It's really a shame that the game is not more extensive. Also, as with any game of this type, it can get quite repetitive after awhile. The game is very easy as well. The Gauntlet is really the only difficult part of it. Even on Extreme, I had no problems completing the game quickly.
And finally, although I knew this wasn't really an RPG when I bought it, I still couldn't help feeling disappointed at the great lack of depth compared to many other games that have been set in the Forgotten Realms. I would have liked to see a wider variety of D&D skills and spells brought in, as well. For instance, the Sorceress (and all spell-casting enemies) doesn't have any spell effects aside from direct damage. It would be cool to have things like Entangle and Charm Person available, to have a thief class with all their many skills, and so on. I realize why many of these things were left out, but a little more work on the design could have added a welcome element of strategy to what it is essentially little more than a slugfest.
My list of complaints may be long, but don't get me wrong; for what it is, this game was executed extremely well. If you're looking for a game like Diablo, you will enjoy this. If you want an RPG, you're better off with Morrowind, or waiting until Bioware rolls out their Star Wars RPG this summer. It's better with a friend, so BG:DA scores a few points there. Still, rent before you buy. You could easily beat this game in a weekend, and you might never play it again after that.
First, remember that this is a console port of a very rich PC game. That means that instead of having lots of choices of male/female or human/elf/dwarf or fighter/thief/mage/cleric, you have three. You can be a male archer, a dwarf fighter, or a female sorceress.
The graphics are really quite good. There are numerous pools of water for you to run around in, to watch the ripples and wakes shimmer and merge. The lighting is lovely, the detail in the buildings and towns and dungeons look great on even large TVs. The sound is good too, and sitting in your living room with friends while the stereo sound surrounds you is tons of fun.
You can play single player or two-person cooperative, which makes couch-play even more fun. With a large bowl of popcorn and your favorite drinks, you can hack and slash your way through numerous hours or a weekend of play.
Now, the down side. Again, console port. Really, you're playing Gauntlet. You run around hacking up barrels and crates in your friend's cellar. Is this exactly the nicest thing to do? You hack at rats and enemies, look for things in barrels. Yes, you get into lever-pulling and puzzles. But in the end the game is pretty linear and the monsters don't regenerate. So whatever level you're at when you get to a certain point, you can't build yourself up more strongly.
This can get to be a real pain when you hit a strong boss. You can't go buy more gear, because there's no way to make more money. You can't get stronger or more skillful, because there's nobody else to kill "behind you" and you can't go "ahead" until you kill the boss. So you're doomed to keep trying to hack at him until you get past him ... somehow.
Another big complaint I have is that the gamemakers seem obsessed with the female form. The guys in the game are all pudgy and uninteresting. But the girls! The first woman you meet, the bartender, has jiggly, wiggly breasts and she shakes them around non-stop during her long, long discussions with you. Everyone I showed the game to was mesmerized by them.
And playing the female sorceress character, I found that no matter how hard I tried, I could NOT get her clothed well. Every outfit involved a cut-off top, skimpy leather boots and not much else. Ahem, she's going into a deep, dark dungeon to face dire enemies? And she's doing this in beach-wear??
Still, the game was campy fun, and definitely draws you in. A fun weekend-play game for real RPGers, and an easy way for those new to the genre to learn what it's about and to get a taste for the fun.

Although this may not appeal to all players I prefer such games because I don't spend all my time gaming and in open concept games I tend to make a lot less progress.
Playing on the Normal difficulty setting the enemies present a challenger without being too extremely difficult to result in massive frustration.
The game is, for the most part, a hack and slash game but does have a small element of Roleplaying to it with interactive character dialogues.
There is a very limited selection of character classes (Fighter, Archer and Mage) but the classes are nicely worked out with ifferent benefits and abilities for each class.
The equipment available in the game is not as extensive as other games (such as Diablo II for the PC) but is still fairly extensive and the game provides good scaling of equipment availability making the characters progress from poor equipment to better equipment.
Best of all, for all you mage lovers, this is one of the first games that I have seen where the magic user can, for the most part, fight by using spells and rely on a weapon as a secondary backup. I love the mage class and in most games the mages are still too dependant on fighting with weapons and only using magic to supplement their attack. Well not in this game, sure you need weapons when you start out but with a little patience you can quickly make a mage that can predominantly fight with spells only.
In my opinion the only thing missing in this game is an way to swap cash between players and the ability to play the game over XBox Live.
All in all I really enjoyed this game and would recommend it to any who likes RPG games.

Despite the game's title, this game is not at all in the same vein as the wonderful Baldur's Gate PC RPGs. It's a hack-and-slash dungeon crawler, and in terms of gameplay it is nearly identical to Diablo II, but with better graphics. If this type of game appeals to you, great! I bought this game because I was looking for another two-player cooperative game after having played Halo for months, which is an amazing coop game as well as single player. This game allows you to play the entire adventure with two people. The graphics and music are superb. Cheap Xbox 360 Wireless Headset
I have been an xbox live subscriber for over 5 years now. I never minded the old xbox 1 headset but the plastic had a tendency to break (nothing a little duct tape couldn't fix). I was surprised when I bought the 360 as I found the new headsets actually went down in quality. They were uncomfortable to wear (reminded me of listening to my old Sony Walkman in the early 90's). The sound was terrible (full volume was about 75% of the xbox 1 headset's full volume). And worst of all is that they would continue to BREAK (only this time it was the wires, not the plastic). I actually went through 3... yes 'THREE' of the wired headsets before i had enough.
In comes the Microsoft wireless 360 headset. It was more than I wanted to spend but I figured it was cheaper than buying a new wired mic every month. First off, this thing is very comfortable. Anyone who uses blue tooth on their cellphone will feel right at home with this on. Second, the top volume is much louder, making listening much more easier. Also you can tell right away that the audio from the headset is 'crisper' and not so distorted, and from talking to others I understand that people will receive you voice as clear as a phone call. The charge will last about 6-8 hours (plenty of time for any gaming marathon) and as long as you remember to plug it in when you are done playing, you should never have a problem with the battery dying. The best part of all is that you will have to really try hard to break this sucker. The durability of this tiny device is impressive.
Now onto the negatives. There isn't much to say. I suppose for some the volume control and mute being on the unit can be awkward but you get use to it. Also, once in awhile I found that it will randomly disconnect for a moment, though it will immediately reconnect itself. Really the only bad thing to say about this is the obvious... the price. As much as I love this headset and praise it, it did not have to be priced at $60. It would have been more sensibly priced at $40 in my opinion.
Overall though, if you have the money and like to chat with friends online I highly recommend this.

I've had my 360 since Christmas 2007 and just went Live earlier this week. My corded headset crapped out the FIRST time I used it so I went out and bought this wireless unit.The unit I purchased is one of the newer models that come with the USB charger. I really like the headset. The volume is a bit low but other than that it syncs really easy and has great range, it is also very easy to change what player position it is synced to.Mine charges via A/C adaptor but newer ones come with a nifty little USB cable instead. I have had this headset for over six months now, and have only good things to say about it. The chat is clear, and the controls are well placed. I often run up a floor to grab a mid-game snack and can still participate in the voice chat with my comrades. If you are serious about taking your chat to the next level, I suggest you buy this. Its battery life runs for about eight hours, which is more than enough for all but the most serious (and socially deprived) gamers. It has a rechargeable battery which I have found recharges in about 3-4 hours. Cheap Stormchaser Gamepad
Let me start off by saying this is a good joystick. However, if you are choosing between this and a Dual Shock joystick, I suggest going with the dual shock. Firstly, you can just tell the dual shock is higher quality. Also, the buttons are way too close together. There are 6 buttons on the face, but the 2 rightmost buttons default to L1 and R1. You think you are hitting triangle or O, but you end up hitting L1 or R1 by mistake due to the buttons being so close together. Also, the D-pad is analog which can be good for some people. However, if you plan on using it for a fighting game then it is horrible; it is very hard to do a double-tap on the d-pad because of its analog nature. In my opinion, the thumbsticks are made to be analog, leave the D-pad under digital control. Finally, the rumble is a little overdone. It is cool to feel, but the joystick sounds like it is about to explode. The sound can be so loud at times that it drowns out the game. In conclusion, I feel this is a decent gamepad; it does the job. But if you plan on playing fighting games or want the highest quality joystick (in my opinion), go with Sony's Dual Shock.

Discount Samurai Warriors 2 - Xbox 360
Samurai Warriors 2 (Sengoku Musou 2 -Japan title). Compared to the prequel, this game has more characters, more stages, more challenging, more replayability, more... everything.
There are ten new characters in total (including the most famous, Musashi Miyamoto who was never defeated in real-life history & who uniquely used 2 swords-style), and each of them have their own unique weapons and movesets. What makes this game is more unique, is that all characters, returning and brand new, are given specific techniques and movesets. The RB button, if pressed at the same time with either "X" or "Y" button, will make a character do a Special technique. The techniques range from doing special attacks, calling a horse, shooting, ninjutsu, and many others. Characters have also been assigned different types of movesets. Some characters' movesets are still similar to Sengoku Musou 1's moveset, but some others' are similar to the Shin Sangoku Musou movesets, but with improvements. If in Shin Sangoku Musou (Dynasty Warriors)you can only do a charge attack up to C6, here, you can unleash a C8!
There are no equipped items here, as they are being replaced by the new skill system. It is in a good way though, since you could only equip a limited number of items in previous games. Now, you can equip all skills you want, which consists of stat increasing, combat ability, recovery and luck skills, among others. Skills are only available for the character who has them, so other characters will have to get the same skills by themselves, making this game more replayable. There are 3 ways to get better Skills. Earn them as you Level Up, Learn them by beating another General or Buy Skill Upgrades from the Shop. At the shop you can also buy Horses & Bodyguards so no more waiting around to earn a horse. You can now start the game riding a horse from the beginning after you earn only 500 gold.
What makes this game more fun to play is that the castles, which many players consider as a major issue in Samurai Warriors 1, are now part of the main map. So yes, no more loading between floors, no more getting Lost, a big issue with me, plus now your Body guard can come along too, allies can also enter the castles, and you can go inside & outside of the castle as much as you please
AI has been improved. Graphics are much improved from the prequel, and the stages are more colorful now. Slowdowns are much less likely here. The music is still similar from the prequel, Techno with a bit of Japanese instruments. Movies are also well done, as well as character stories. Also, if you're bored of hacking and slashing, you can also play a monopoly-like minigame called SUGOROKU for up to 4 players, which is available here to earn money & unlock a character. Also a Surviver (Castle) Mode where you can earn more money & unlock another character as well as the two unique almost Invincible Horses (Kanketsuba, and Houshou Tsukige) To unlock them for purchase from the Shop, you must do specific tasks in the Survival Mode. as well as two unique Bodyguards (Shibata Katsuie and Sasaki Kojiro).
Only gripe, still need much more characters to unlock ( ie: Dynasty Warriors 42 generals) but with 10 more characters Samurai Warriors 2 is much more better than the original!
But with that many improvements, this game could be the most innovative of all Musou/Warriors game KOEI have ever released. You should at least try this game, and I'm 90% sure you'll like it.

To begin, the game really does look the same as it did before. No real graphical enhancements, and not much of a polish to them either. So when I say this game is more or less the same, I'm not kidding. The XBOX360 version actually looks like the PS2 version; there is no graphical enhancements for the 360 version, which is a shame. Meaning if graphics is your thing, you might want the PS2 version instead as there's really no difference.
The only real difference between Dynasty Warriors and Samuraie Warriors (that stands out the most, anyway) is the simple fact that Samurai Warriors focuses on fuedal Japan (Dynasty Warriors focuses on China). There are an upwards of 26 characters to select from, most of which are locked until you complete the default characters storymode. In story mode you'll play through chapters just hacking and slashing away at your enemies. It's time Koei added more variety to these games. There aren't really a variety of ways you can deal with your enemies, and much like Dynasty Warriors, they clump up all over the screen. At first it's actually somewhat fun, but again, if you've played the first Samurai Warriors (along with Extreme Legends) and played the Dynasty Warriors games (along with those Extreme Legends) then you'll be disappointed (or really happy) to know that it's the same thing you've already been doing for years. Truly, this single aspect of the game could make or break it for you. Some aren't bothered by this at all. It's why Koei can continue to chuck out the same game over and over again. It's virtually the same, but some people like sameness, and of course I'm saying if you do then you'll feel right at home with this game, so don't let this review discourage you.
The story mode cutscenes are also given their own little dramatic effect. It doesn't work very well though. Like your standard Koei game, the English voice overs are terrible. They're so monotone and the dialogue is just bad. It's a good thing that you can easily have some fun with this game without gettind discouraged by the horrible voice acting. The music itself is really hit or miss. There's nothing really memorable about the music at all, and at times it just doesn't always feel right. We can let this slide, though.
Aside from story mode there is also a free mode which is more or less exactly like it sounds. You can choose any level you want and just go in and hack and slash at everything.
The game does try hard to put more of a strategic effort to the missions, but it's almost non-existant. For example, your attention may be called to an area on the map. The game expects that you'll take off and go there. You're not going to have to do that, though. There's really nothing strategic about Samurai Warriors. There wasn't anything strategic about the first one, and the second one's attempts to be such are pitiful.
There are two aspects of the gameplay that do stand out, though. One is the skill system, where you spend gold to learn skills for your character. It helps to make characters seem a little less generic, but not entirely. It does, however, give the game some much needed flavor and some neat customization ability. So there actually is a point to using characters over and over again, and chaning things up. The second aspect may very well be my favorite. The mini game: Sugoroku. It's more or less Monopoly with Samurai Warrior characters, and it's actually really fun to play, and can be quite addictive when playing with friends.

It's more or less an expansion of what's already been done a million times, and not just in Samurai Warriors. I've played this game quite a lot and have found it to be very good in all aspects of gameplay. Unfortunatly I have been told by several retailers that this title has been discontinued. I do not know if the manufacture of this title has been halted but I'd advise getting this sooner than later because it really is a good game. I've probably put in more than 25 hours in the game and haven't completed all the storylines yet. This game is full of unlockables, something I really enjoy; It gives a nice sense of accomplishment. When I got my hands on the first installment of Samurai Warriors, I thought it was a lot of fun. When I got this one, I was shocked to see how much they had improved on the original. The combat system is much more fluid and intuitive. The in-game store allows players to spend money earned in missions to customize the characters to better match the player's own style. There are more playable characters than before, and individual story modes allow for quite a lot of replay value. Sadly, Koei removed the irritating character creation feature from the first game rather than fixing it. One of my favorite features, and the reason I bought it for Xbox 360 rather than PS2, is that the Xtreme Legends expansion pack is an Xbox Live downloadable patch rather than a separate disc that has to be swapped in and out during game-play. As one reviewer pointed out this is basically an upgrade of the last samurai warriors. As such, I liked the former better than the recent. Though still this is a very enjoyable game with enough difficulty and ease to sustain about an hours worth of attention. The inclusion of the red headed Fuma ninja seemed somewhat unnecessary, but he turns out to be one of the better characters to play. Nobonaga was the primary focus of the SW1, but this one focuses on the aftermath of his tear through Japan and the ensuing power vaccum after his death. Mitshide and Ranmaori still look and talk like women from the ZangHe school of make up and hair design. And everyone vaguely resembles europeans pretending to be Japanese. Buy Xbox 360 Silver Controller and Play & Charge Kit
I decided to buy this controller because my main controller that I play with was dying, left analog stick didn't work right and the left bumper was jammed, so it was a perfect opportunity for me to buy a new controller.

This controller LOOKS nice. The silver shine, the chrome guide button, the shiny black plastic, it all goes together in a perfect combo. This is a sexy controller and it will look sexy in your hands.
Mechanics:
There are two main noticeable improvements. The first one is with the analog sticks. My "main controller" was actually just a five year old xbox 360 controller that had lost its 4 notches on the sticks, but it was extremely old. I prefer not having those 4 notches and enjoy the fact that this controller was designed perfectly for my taste. It feels better on your thumbs.
The d-pad, while it is an improvement, is not improved by much. I play SSFIV a lot with my nice expensive $150 stick, but I do play with a controller with friends at time. I know that the previous controller had a terrible d-pad, but so does this one. Albeit, there is a small improvement. The directions feel more defined and push in better than in the previous controller. The gimmick though is the disccross mode. It makes no difference in play whatsoever. Matter of fact, I found the disc to perform better playing Street Fighter. But if you use the 360 controller in that game, I'd suggest using the analog stick instead.
Over all the games I tested: Super Meat Boy, SSF2THDR, Pac Man DX, the cross feature of the controller was not an improvement over the disc. It's a better D-Pad, but don't get excited about the cross.
Price:
I got this for $52 $20 Amazon Credit for a total of $32. As a replacement controller, this was absolutely perfect! It was the same price, came with a black rechargeable battery and charge cable, and fit my desire for better analog sticks. If you already have 2-4 perfectly good controllers, I do not suggest buying this as it's not a major improvement unless you absolutely need a new controller.
The main reason (if not the only reason) I bought this was for Fallout New Vegas. If you are familiar with it or Fallout 3 you know that you can "hot key" your weapons, etc to the D-Pad. Well because of how bad the original D-Pad was I would only use up, down, left, and right. If you tried to use ANY of the diagonal keys you would end up in BAD situations pulling the wrong weapon as a Deathclaw is storming at you and you really need your missile launcher, and you accidentally pull out a pistol.
In New Vegas up is already designated as your "change ammo type", so that leaves only 3 other reliable slots. So when I heard about this new controller and its "improved" D-Pad I thought awesome finally I can hot key more weapons, and not always have to open my pip boy to get to the right weapon. Well, I ordered it, and paid for one day shipping which was only 9.98, and the controller itself was only 51.99, even thought it retails everywhere else for 64.99.
So it came yesterday (ironically while I was playing New Vegas), so I decided to test it out. I hot keyed 7 weapons, and tried to use the D-Pad to pull out the right weapon. I tried it with just the plus (+), and then with the whole disc, and strangely it worked better for the diagonal presses when it was in the plus (+) formation then it did as the disc. And the results are overall just barely better. It still would pull out the wrong weapon about 1 out of every 3 times, when it use to be like 2 out of 3.
Another great test is to open up a message on your 360, and try to navigate the qwerty keyboard with the D-Pad only. You'll see how bad the D-Pad is, and that it is CONSTANTLY moving up when you press left, down when you press right, etc. Now if it were up to me, and I was a controller designer the perfect D-Pad would be a cross between the 360, and PS3 D-Pads. It would have separated up, down, left, and right like the PS3, but instead of a disc shape for the diagonal, it would have independent sections for diagonal. So that you would be able to properly press the direction you are intending. Ill try to insert a drawing of what I mean if I can.
But anyway to sum up the review I would say, unless you really need the plus shaped D-Pad for a game, then its not worth it. The new color scheme is kinda cool, but if you rely on the button colors for a game like Fable 3, then this ones not for you. The buttons are white, black, and grey now. I watched an interview with the main designer of XBOX equipment about this controller, and he mentioned several times that the improvements would help with fighting games, and maybe they have. I cant comment on that since I dont play fighting games. But for me, it wasn't worth it.

Ok, after using this for a couple weeks I felt I should update the review. I guess by using it for awhile it loosened up a little. Because now it works perfect. I can use all 8 directions in both modes. (plus and circle). And it works right now. I can pick the correct weapons that Im trying to. But when I try to use it for messaging its still constantly going diagonal when I need down, etc. So depending on what your using it for give it a chance. And just know that after a few days/ weeks (depending on how much you use it) it will get better with time. MUCH better that the original.
I like the new texture of the controller. It isn't a slippery surface and has a little tackier/rougher feel. Makes it easier to hold onto if your hands sweat. I also like that they added a bit of resistance to the thumbsticks. This should also help fix the problem of the thumbsticks getting "floaty" after some use. The trigger buttons also now have a curve, but doesn't really have an impact on use or feel for me, but okay design.
On to the directional pad. It still sucks. It is neat that you can convert it to a raised plus shape or more of a flat shape, but the underlying problem is still there. The d-pad is still on top of a disk, which makes it imprecise. I was trying to enter character names last night and had to use the thumbstick because the d-pad is so inaccurate. I would love it if they went to the ps3 style d-pad that is just four digital buttons instead of basically an analog directional pad.
Gave it 4 stars, would have been 5 if they fixed the d-pad.

Early reviews have said that the D-Pad is still on a disc and that is the main problem. I agree that this is a problem, but the new d-pad is miles ahead of the sorry excuse for a d-pad the original controllers have.
The texture on the controller makes it easier to hold if you play for an extended period of time. It's very comfortable.
The new joysticks have a new texture on top of them and they are much better in every single way. The new greyscale style of the buttons is a unique touch that just adds to the "cool" factor of the controller.
I have gotten a good amount of use already and it is just MILES ahead of the other model.

This controller is sweet. It's not meant to be a totally different controller so don't expect it to be, but it looks awesome and works just as well as any other Microsoft controller. The D-pad doesn't raise up when you twist it, the gray disc around the D-pad lowers so it still sticks up the same height on the controller. This is an extremely nice controller and well worth the buy. It includes a play and charge kit with the rechargeable battery pack. This is extremely nice for when I am charging my other batteries.Everything about the controller has been approved.

Xbox 360 Elite 120 GB Console System Reviews
Yeah, so i bought this item as a gift for my brother....DOESN'T WORK. I wrote a negative review and Milas Corp (seller's name at the time of writing this review, when the product was NOT advertised as console only) emailed me, asking me to remove because they wanted to solve the problem. This game is advertised to contain 120 GB, but only comes with about 7GB, since they "forget" to send the hard drive...naturally it doesn't support any games, due to it's low memory. I am still waiting on a response from Milas Corp, after they agreed to send the MISSING HARD DRIVE. Should have thought twice when i saw complaints about them on the Better Business Bureau...silly me. PLEASE TAKE HEED!!!! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER!!!
**That being said about my dealings with the seller, the product did not work until we spent additional money and purchased a hard drive for it, so keep that in mind.**
The good thing for me is that I kept the receipt and document all my communications regarding my dispute with MS and Gamesboutike and took the dispute to the Credit Card Company that I used to purchase. After three months of ongoing dispute with a follow up phone call every two weeks or so with the credit card company, they finally agree to issue a full refund to my credit card as they take their dispute with the merchant's bank. Hooray!
Although Gamesboutike has 96% positive rating when I purchase the Xbox, but from my experience with this company I would never buy anything from them again. The term caveat emptor apply here with this vendor.
UPDATE: the best solution to get rid of the noise and stop your xbox from heating up as much is to just install the game, If you do that your cd wont run as it will read it off the hard drive.

I have had my 360 system for a few years and bought the elite and newer models of the systems to avoid the problems that everyone else was experiencing with their consoles. This morning I went to turn on my 360 to experience the dreaded red ring of death that I have heard about so many times from so many of my friends. So I called Microsoft to see if I can have it repaired only to get the answer that my warranty had expired mere days ago. They did however offer to repair the system for half the price of a brand new system ($100 the new xbox 360 being released in a month retails at $199) with no mention of an upgraded warranty after this one would have gotten fixed. Naturally I decided to decline especially since I had a backup system upstairs (my fiancee's). I got to play one game for about a half hour and decided to switch to a different game, low and behold a second system broken in one day, this time the drive door would not open, not to worry this system was made later and should still be under warranty right? WRONG, the answer the technician gave me for this system is because this is a different problem the warranty does not count for as long, so essentially two broken systems in one day. Please be VERY CAUTIOUS when buying any products from Microsoft in the future.

I purchased the Xbox 360 Elite from Gamesboutike for $230.00 in August, 2009. It was listed on Amazon as USED LIKE NEW. By December 2009 the unit displayed an E74 error message. Per Microsoft instruction, I sent the unit in for repair. Microsoft returned the unit a few weeks later stating that the Xbox has been modified or tamperred with; therefore, the warranty has been voided. MS dispute resolution center advice that I should take my dispute with the retailer that sold me the unit if I did not tamper with it. Following MS's advice I contacted Gamesboutike through Amazon. Gamesboutike responded and instructed me to send in the unit to them and that they would try to repair the unit themselves. About a couple weeks later after I shipped the unit to Gamesboutike, they responded that the unit was damage beyond repair due to some Xclamp reason and there is nothing else they can do for me. I responded to Gamesboutike to let them know that I'm the sole owner of the Xbox and I'm certain that the unit was never tampered with in anyway and that I would expect a full refund or a replacement. Thankfully, the used Xbox 360 elite I got worked. I had bought it from HonestPete. I don't make a lot of money, so I had to get one of the cheaper used ones. It's the best 100$ I ever spent. Before you blame the person selling the Xbox make sure the hard drive is meant for your system. I tried my brothers since we were too lazy to pull out the other one and had Red Ring of Death, but it was the hard drive's fault not the Xbox 360. Also, make sure you got all the right cords. Xbox 360 NFL Chicago Bears Controller Reviews
My 9 year old son is such a HUGE Bears fan this was his favorite present until is stopped working after 30 minutes. The cord continously "pops" out of the Xbox and then when you plug it back it in, it won't "read" that the controller is connected. Can't wait to return it!!

Review of Two Worlds 2 Royal Collectors Edition Xbox 360
Two Worlds 2 is one of those games that you'll love it and hate it at the same time. It open doors with your imagination, and has alot to offer the statistics junkies. It has beautiful landscapes and the world does it's damnest to impress you.
The problem is gameplay. It has warts. Overall, the combat and exploration ON THE SURFACE is fun and ingadging. The problem is, combat never seems to get deeper and eventually just gets plain easy. Playing as a mage, you become armegeddon on legs.
Next in line to show it's ugly is the AI. Monsters and NPC's alike are plain stupid. Pathfinding, attacking, even acknowlwgement of your presence can and does break the emergence, the landscape tries so hard to get you to believe. Monsters will just stand there while you beat thier brains in.
Grafix is a booster shot. They are gorgous and very atmospheric. Dungeons look dark and creepy, tombs that does everything but provide the scent. Tourches throw eriee lighting around em, and towns feel lived in.
Sound. It is plainly AWESOME!!! Music, is very pleasing and match the atmosphere of the game. Monsters, voice acting (although sometimes campy), backround noises, sounds of the city really help make you feel the mood.
Two Worlds 2 overall is a fun game. The quests are all intresting, weapons, armor, spells, ect. ect. are fun to play with and experiment with. If you give it achance, you'll get your money out of it.

Based on the price I was more then pleased with this package. The way everything was packaged was very thought out. From the side of the box folding open to reveal the statue to the hidden shelf under the side holding all the goodies this is a very nice product. The statue is very detailed and doesnt feel cheap at all. The drawer under the statue holding the game, cards, map, etc is a nice touch.
