I finally broke down and bought this game because it was only 2.99 and I'm glad I didn't pay a penny more for it. It's mildy entertaining, at best, because there are very few fighting moves and other options. Also the action is very slow as opposed to other great fighting games like Mortal Kombat or Street Fighter. As in most games, I find the announcers annoying and time consuming, however the one good thing about it is the celebrity personalities. The idea of the game has great potential, but the makers have fallen short of my standards.

At first, I was on the fence about buying this game because it got mixed bag reviews, but then I decided to pick it up and I'm glad I did because it's gory, it's funny, and it's highly entertaining.

WHAT THE GAME IS: Technically, it's a fighting game based on an old MTV show of clay celebrities who fight each other. This game features fifteen celebrities, six episodes with three matches each, unlockable characters, and you can customize your own celebrity.

GRAPHICS: Old and not great, I would like it to look a little better with its textures and animation.

MUSIC: Rock music like you'd expect from this kind of things.

SOUND: Punching, kicking, slashing, use of chainsaws, guns, dogs barking, the announcers spouting dirty sexual innuendos (Like one incident in which one of them fantasized about Carmen Electra and Cindy Margolis "doing it"), taunting from the celebrities, and more.

GAMEPLAY: Most people can breeze through this game with ease and unlock everything. Some may not like the selection of fighting moves, but others will (Like when I was Frankenstein and I was facing the Wolfman and he peed on me as one of his attacks, or dismembering your opponent in a number of ways). It's really quite satisfying to pull off these moves, and it's not hard to figure out how to finish someone, and when you do it's a glorious sight that will make you laugh your a-off for how funny they are.

OVERALL: Well, it depends, do you really like fighting games? Are you a fan of the old show? Or are you just looking for some gory fun? I can't say if you'll like it or not because of how short the game is, and you might not like to fighting moves. But, you might find quite a lot of fun in this underrated game if you give it a chance.

THE GOOD: Cool dismembering moves, funny attacks and dialogue, great selection of celebrities, easy to use, and it's got an endless replay value.

THE BAD: Game is a bit too short, you can complete it in one sitting.

This game was played a lot during my childhood. Since I recently acquired a working Xbox from GameStop's garbage, I had to buy some games for it. Of course this was one of them. The game itself is okay; would be better if it involved some real wrestling moves such as grappling and throwing etc just like the Smackdown/RAW games. However, it is entertaining if you're not an experienced gamer and just want some laughs out of it. I'd recommend the show over the game anytime.

K THERES ONLY 2 FIGHTING STYLES FOR EACH GENDER WHEN U WANT TO CREATE SOMEONE. PLUS THEY DON'T HAVE ALL THE CELEBERTIES THEY HAD ON TV, ONLY HAVE 6 ATTACKS (NOT INCLUDING WEAPONS), AND THE WEPONS DON'T APEAR AS MUCH AS THEY SHOULD. THIS GAME WAS WAY TOO EASY ALSO PLUS IT ONLY TOOK ME 20 MINS TO UNLOCK EVEY THING.

ONLY 6 ARENAS, LIKE 17 DUDES HALF OF THEM ARE CELEBERTIES. SHOULD HAVE TONS OF FIGHTING STYLES LIKE MARTIAL ARTS, STREET FIGHTNG, WRESTLING, AND PRO WRESTLING. GOOD THING I DIDN'T BUY THIS, MY GRAND MA DID =)

I've been eyeing up Celebrity Deathmatch the game for a year or so now. I finally decided to pick it up, and boy am I glad I did. The game is extremely simple, taking me about 30 mins to beat the "Story" if you will and unlock all the characters. The graphics for the Xbox version look very nice, and the clay qualities really stand out. It has good celebrities to play as, though I would of liked to see some bigger names that were on the show, like Arnold Schwartzenegger, X-Files (David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson), Madonna, etc. The celebrities provided are awesome though, and some pretty funny match ups can be created. Nick and Johnny's commentary really shines, they have some great lines that literally made me laugh out loud, and that usually never happens when I play a video game. Another complaint I see alot: All the moves are the same for every fighter. That's not true except for the N*Sync members, and there's even some variety there too. But, I'll go with the group for Create-A-Fighter, it sucks. There's two fight style templates to pick from, and you cant even choose your own moves. On top of that, you really even can't make your creation look like a celebrity. I tried to make Bruce Campbell for some fun beating up the other celebrities with a Chainsaw, but I had a lot of trouble even trying to make someone look like him. WARNING: This is not a game for anyone under the age of 15. There are many potent and strong sexual jokes, and even though it's clay, the violence is very graphic, in fact one of the goriest games I've played in a while. I mean, it's not Gears of War or Madworld bad, but it is definitely up there with Mortal Kombat and some other gory fighters. Now, go out and get this, especially if you're a fan of the show, and enjoy!

This was a gift for a grandson who uses it at a cottage where he doesn't have a gaming system. He finds it potable and uses it frequently when he is there. It stays there and is a new game to play when he is away from home. He seems to enjoy the variety of games.

To feed my Forza Motorsport 2 hunger, I decided to purchase this game. I'm a big fan of Japanese cars. All my cars are Japanese. Import Tuner focuses on...you guessed it...import cars, mainly Japanese brand carsToyota, Mitsubishi, Subaru, Mazda, and Nissan. People ask..so where's Honda? Licensing issues prevented Genki developers from including Honda.

This game delivers TONS of customizations. You can basically calibrate and modify your car based on parts you buy. However, buying upgrade parts for your car isn't that easy. All upgrade parts are level-based meaning you need to beat a boss or win races against a few rival teams to get a new level of parts to purchase. Parts don't come cheap so just racing one rival after another won't get you the goods you need once you face a fully-modified car. You'll have to go back and find a rival team you already beat and race him over and over until you get enough credit points to purchase the parts.

The game requires a lot of patience since you'll be pitted against every import car. There are two ways of challenging rivals. You either hit the streets and challenge OR you can go to the parking area and challenge racers there. To beat the game, you'll have to challenge both street racers and those who hangout by the parking lot.

The tracks are based on real highways in Japan. All the the highways have been faithfully recreated in this game. Now...since this is a race along freeway, you won't be using much of your drifting skills here since you won't find any hairpin turns. Most of the turns are like the Exit ramps you take on our Interstate highways here in the US. This should give you an idea on what's in store for you. Majority of the tracks here are straightways, a few exit ramps turns will test your turning skills. Don't be fooled though. You'll be faced with traffic on the highways. There will trucks and cars driving merrily along the highway while you're speeding at 200mph. The traffic will sharpen your skills on avoidance and overtaking. The game is quite tough on errors you make. You hit a car or a railing and chances are the rival driver will be right on your tail.

There are two modes of races here: SP battles and Time Attack. SP battles are like health meters. The farther the rival is ahead of you, the faster your health meter goes down. You hit a railing or a car and that penalizes your SP meter. The object of SP battle is to run your rival's SP meter dry. That means you'll have to outrace him or punish him by trapping him on a lane where a slow moving vehicle is right in front of him and then you accelerate at high speed to leave him behind. You can use traffic to your advantage by nudging the rival car on the side and pushing him towards an embankment. I know it's bad but hey...you gotta win by any means necessary. Time attack on the other hand is simply a race to the finish line. Why it's called Time attack just boggles the mind. This game was made in Japan so expect some translation hiccups here and there. Poorly translated Japanese terms abound in this game so expect to see weird rival names like Betelguese of the Night, Mundane Omnipotent, Cornering Opera, Mundane Zeus, Astellion Flower, and my favorite... Cat X Cat.

Graphics was where I was a bit disappointed. Genki didn't use the full power of the Xbox360. Somehow it didn't look quite next-gen to me. Also, there are horrible frame rate issues. The game just grinds to a stuttering frame rate when you have three or four rivals on screen. There are a few drawing issues as well. Sometimes, while driving, you'll notice that there's just a black empty space at the end of the ramp. Fear not, the game suffers from redrawing issues. But these issues shouldn't deter you from playing this game. AI is something that's a so-so. You will find rivals who drive like Ms. Daisy or sometimes against a rival who drives like Mario Andretti, Nicki Lauda, and Colin McRae. Most of the AI seem to be afraid to take the risk of making sharp turns at full speed. They seem to brake quite a few meters too far from the turn's entry point. As a result, you can easily take advantage of this and cut in front of them.

So...what's a good gaming tip here. Like any other tuner games, there are three things you need to focus on to win in this game: SPEED, WEIGHT, AND HANDLING. That means you need to upgrade your engine, your body, and your suspension. Don't dwell too much on making your car look like Fast and Furiousque. Concentrate first on winning a few races and invest on the three main aspects of the car. ANy part that will make your car 100lbs heavier should be compensated by a body upgrade that will make it lighter. I've beaten this game by using just one car.

Here's what I did: I purchased the Nissan Fairlady (fastest among the cheapest starter cars). I raced the hell out of it and upgraded it. Then I began challenging several rivals over and over again till I was winning 500K credit points per race. Once I got to about 4 million credit points, I bought my favorite and possibly the fastest tuner car in the game: Mitsubishi Evolution IX. I then sold my Fairlady and then upgraded the engine to the highest possible level I could get. Slowly I began upgrading the three main aspects of the car. By the time I got to about 80% of game completion, I was beating every car and rival I was up against. The Mitsubishi Evolution is by far the best tuner car I have ever dealt with, be it Forza Motorsport or Import Tuner. Try the Evolution and win every race.

In closing, this game is highly recommended. It has it's own technical issues but the fun factor is definitely in the game. Go for it.

This game is made by the same company that produced the Tokyo Extreme Racer series. The game play is exactly like TXR, expect the controls are a little bit tighter than they were in the previous installments of the game. The graphics in the game are very well done, but they are not next gen graphics. There is only about 10 or so cars in the game but hundreds of upgrades. The level of customization is unbeleiveable. You can cusotmize every thing from the height of the car to what the steering wheel look like. The reason I rated the game 5 starts is because the game is so much fun to play. There is no story line in the game; the main focus is to race and beat all of your rivals. All of the reviews that compare this game to Need for Speed: Underground are very misleading because Import tuner is totally different than NFSU. NFSU is an arcade sim aimed at the mass market where Import tuner is aimed at a small niche of racing fans.

If you have ever played any of TXR series you will love this game, if not you might want to rent it first.

This game has recieved absolutely no hype. I walked into EB a few days before the game's release to preorder, and no one there had even heard of it. Usually when that happens, a game has been rushed through development, is released prematurely, and as a result, the game blows.

That is not the case here.

Import Tuner Challenge is effectively the next in the line of Shutokou Battle or Tokyo Xtreme Racer (henceforth referred to as TXR) games. However, it's received a change of name, and was produced by Ubisoft instead of Crave. This has led to a few minor changes to the game. First off, this looks MUCH better than any of the previous TXR games. It won't blow a game like Test Drive Unlimited out of the water, but it's certainly a step up from NFS:MW or Ridge Racer 6. The streets of Tokyo are beautifully recreated here. The cars are well-rendered, all high-poly models. The lighting effects are up there with the best of the racing games. As far as sound goes, the techno racing tunes are uninspired, but work for the game. While I believe that the music was well-chosen for the game, I could wholly understand someone disliking it very much. Really, though, the highlight here is the sound of the cars. As you spend time upgrading your car's engine and exhaust, you can hear a difference with every little change you make. You start out with a quiet machine, and after just a few upgrades, you can hear the turbo whirring and the sounds of the wastegate. This is just extraordinarily cool for the real gearheads. To some people, this may mean nothing. However, I find it quite refreshing to hear a car sound similar to how it would in real life.

For those who haven't played a TXR game before, you're probably wondering HOW DOES IT PLAY? so I'll get to that now. The formula is simple: race, make money, upgrade car, race, buy new car, race, win money, race, ad nauseum. Sounds simple, right? It's a very basic game structure, but it works quite well. The way it's set up makes it very addictive. I personally logged over 28 hours of gameplay in the first 3 days I owned the game, and missed many a class. If you play this game, you WILL find yourself trying to find every minute possible to race and upgrade your car. This is because of the tuning system, which, while not quite on par with TXR 2 on Dreamcast or TXR 0 on PS2, is better than any other Xbox 360 game, bar none. This blows Need for Speed Most Wanted out of the water.

However, it's not for everyone. If you want to simply upgrade a car with the press of a button, take it out on the street, and beat every race without any trouble, buy Need for Speed Most Wanted. It's a solid game. That said, if you truly want a game that allows you to tune every aspect of your car, this is for you.

+Incredible tuning options

+amazing sense of speed

-Some may find the formulaic gameplay to get old

-For the first hour or so, it feels different from TXR

I'm sure this game won't get the respect that it deserves, but if you're looking for an in-depth tuning and racing game for the X360, this is for you.

A decent game if you are into this type of racer.

Having played Tokyo Highway Battle PS1, Tokyo Extreme Racer 1 and 2 Dreamcast, and Tokyo Extreme Racer Zero and Tokyo Extreme Racer 3 I am a fan. It is the same people that made it. Ignore the cheesy title.

Let's talk about the bad:

Much less cars. Like about 15 (seriously). They left out a lot of cars. The series was much better when they did not have licensed cars. The selection and variety was awesome.

The graphics aren't great for what it should be. Looks more like a last generation game. This must be played on the best resolution as possible.

There is no vibration feedback for the controller at all and using a wheel there is definitely no force feedback.

Some routes are missing in this game.

The online community is pretty much dead.

Overall you can tell that these guys were lazy. It could have been much better. So much potential thrown away.

As for the good it plays just like their previous games. It is much better than TXR3 because the civilian cars have returned (the worst in the series IMO). The physics have improved. The livery editor is not good at all but better than nothing. The appearance modifications are great. There is a cockpit view. Sense of speed is good. The graphics are the best in the series. The feel and flavor is still there.

Previous fans will like this. This is a like or hate affair. I would not say love just because they got lazy and left so much out and took a step backwards.

This is probably the most real street racing you can get without being tacky like other street racing games. Although the names given and car crews and members names are funny in a good way. If you like Japanese cars and roll racing this is it.

I just finished The Hobbit for Xbox last night and I have to say it was VERY well done. I can't believe it got lousy reviews from the magazines! I guess they were trying to compare it to LOTRwhich I didn't care for (the games)other than the first onewhich this is BY FAR better. It's very much like Zelda Windwakerwith the exception of one particularly difficult level mid way through where it becomes this huge brawl and you die repeatedly! But after getting past that messthe game opens up and becomes a huge puzzle solving thing where the puzzles are hugely fun! Go figure? The character animations are average, but the level designs are supurb! The music is spectacular, and the artistic direction is excellent! A lot of work went into crafting this great game! I highly recommend it!

As an avid Hobbit fan, I was compelled to purchase this game. Having read the book is not critical, however, your enjoyment will be greatly enhanced knowing about hobbits, Bilbo and the others from middle earth. The amazing thing is this game is almost as much fun to watch another play as it is to play your self. Some of the tasks are fun and others are very difficult. Normally I do not like the violent games, but the battles are against goblins, wizards, spiders, and a dragon. Again, some easy and some are very hard.

Hours and hours of fun. I highly recommend this game. (For what it's worth, I am in my late 50's).

I and my 6yr old son have enjoyed this game so much! The narration almost stayed true to the original story. It is quite challenging at certain levels.But soon even kids can defeat wight lord!I think it is one of the best games we played so far. Shrek 2 was fun as well as Spyro a hero's tail and finding Nemo. Most of the games available in this platform are rated Teen or Mature which is not suitable for small kids either because of the difficulty or graphic content. Very few games are really worth spending your money and Hobbit is worth every penny. If anyone likes my list and have any suggestions for new game please let me know so that I can play them.

I absolutely loved this game. It took me a couple of weeks of playing but I finally beat it. It was challenging without being impossible. There were a few tough spots but after trying to get past them a few times and developing a strategy it was do-able. I reccommend this game it was a lot of fun.

I love DA's story, the first game I played at night in the dark, just like Mass Effects, and jumped at every corner.. it was great! I'm 25 somthing hours into the game, have done all of the side quests I can, but have'nt really left Kirkwall, hmmmmm. Please tell me there is an outside world?? In the first one you were out exploring and meeting different races and traveling everywhere, the world was huge! I'm feeling alittle claustraphobic here. I wish you could buy better armor for your team and that it was alittle less.."duh! you didnt want that anyway! Lets just put that in your trash." and stuff. That being said, I still love the game and will play itthrough to the end, though I may pick up the first one again and play as someone else.

I enjoyed this game (please note, I have the Signature Edition). But I like RPGs. I like story, I like details, I like characters. I read every entry in the codex, and I do all the sidequests. I missed exactly two things in DAII one was a glitch, and for the other, I just forgot to go turn in the item before heading into the Deep Roads but didn't realize it until I was at the boss fight.

I didn't miss auto-attack, but then, I was playing a mage. My job was crowd-control and cleanup, not DPS. I didn't need to be attacking constantly. I suspect this will get annoying on my melee playthroughs, but it will still be worth it. All other aspects of gameplay are a major improvement over Dragon Age: Origins, in my opinion. My first run of the game clocked in at over 47 hours, at level 25. I did not experience any game-breaking bugs, however, I did get beaten senseless by a dragon because I was completely surprised by the (optional) fight.

The story of Dragon Age II focuses on the City of Kirkwall, which has some very serious problems, and the life of the main character. You must earn the respect and/or friendship of your companions. I lost one companion partway through the game because I had not earned their trust, and another at the end of the game because of the choices I made. Your companions are not just automatons who follow you mindlessly; they have opinions and they react to your behavior. You can even romance them, if you are so inclined. BioWare has taken a giant step in making genuine options available to all players. Based on your reactions, some of your companions will indicate interest, allowing you the player to choose your own romantic interest, instead of being forced into selecting one based strictly on your character's gender, or worse, being offered a degrading minigame of screwing every woman who crosses your path in exchange for pictures. You have the option to turn down a romance at any time, and just like in real life, your companions are slightly offended by this, but not enough to keep you from reaching 100% friendship or rivalry. Another fun feature of having a romance with one of your companions is that your other companions will comment on it, based on their relationship with you and their relationship with your love interest. Not all of your companions get along, of course. To have them all think and act the same would be boring and unrealistic.

It's clear from the small details in the storyline that Dragon Age II was written at the same time as Dragon Age: Origins. It builds on the hints given about Arlathan and the Tevinter Imperium, along with subtle hints about the nature of the Black City. I'm appalled by how many people don't realize who the Chantry Seeker is, as that means they're missing a part of the story that may turn out to be significant in DA3. I'm not sure what happened to other people, but my all of my imported choices seemed to be correctly reflected in my game. I wish that they had made mention of my Warden's race as well as my class, but it was enough that everyone knew that a mage had saved Ferelden. (Yes, I like mages. Sue me.)

The is a city campaign, unlike Dragon Age: Origins. All of the major conflicts take place inside the city. There are no armies marching across battlefields. You will spend time in a tavern, you will deal with political machinations, you will visit a brothel, all as part of the main story. You will also crawl through sewers, of course. Can't forget that. The area surrounding Kirkwall does play a part in the game, but it is not nearly as important as the city itself.

This game is not Dragon Age: Origins, nor does it aspire to be. It is its own story, and stands on its own. Many people came to this game with bizarre expectations, and were bitterly disappointed for something they had no reason to expect. This is Hawke's story, set in the same world as the Warden from Dragon Age: Origins, but with completely different goals and scope. The game expands the world of Dragon Age, but we won't fully know exactly how the two stories intersect until Dragon Age 3. I have some suspicions, of course (I hate you, Flemeth) but I can't prove anything.

There is apparently a bug with the friendship bonus of two characters I say apparently, because I did not experience it myself in all the time I played. Your mileage may vary. The only bugs that really bothered me were the unusual amount of monstrous spiders lurking in caves that my companions kept insisting that we needed to explore.

One thing that I did dislike is that the game is designed for HD and displays quite poorly on a standard TV. However, that seems to be the wave of the future for console development. I guess I should start saving my pennies.

Let me first say I own Dragon Age: Origins on the 360 and LOVE IT! This game however is Ok but doesnt offer the flare that Dragon Are: origins offered. Immediatly when you start to play teh game you keep asking yourself, man this game is different in a weird way. I ended up buying Dragon Age: origins Ultimate Edition on Steam and playing it again and running through the premium content. Sadly Dragon Age II is gathering dust.

I loved Dragon Age: Origins. I beat it with three characters and completed all the DLC. I was beyond excited for Dragon Age II when it was announaced.

Unfortunately it did not live up to the hype or my expectations.

Dragon Age II looks good. The graphics are solid and an improvement upon the first entry. The voice work is also good (though I find DA:O still superior) as is the music. That is where the game succeeds, it fails elsewhere.

The gameplay itself was changed to be more fast paced and actiony. For any of the warrior classes this turned it into a pure button masher, which made longer fights less then thrilling. You spend about 90% of the game within the city of Kirkwall, only venturing out for occasional side quests. The city itself is ok sized but not massive, this leads to a large amount of reused sights and scenes. Even the side quest dungeons are reused repeatedly, with certain sectons just blocked off.

Character customization has also decreased. You are always the human Hawke, though you can pick your class and develop your skill trees as you see fit. Bioware went the Mass Effect route to give their character a defined "voice".

The story is also nothing amazing. I understand it is intended to be a more "personal" story then DA:O but you really don't feel like what are you doing matters much. Events go forward and feel like they would be close to the same without your involvement. The side characters with a few exceptions (Varric) are also not as interesting or sympathetic, nor are your interactions or relationships with them.

Dragon Age II is an ok or even good game. It does not however live up to the high bar set by the series with Dragon Age: Origins or expected by a Bioware product.

Really liked the first game, but was surprised to find how far this game strayed from that more 'old school' formula. Have to admit that combat was fun, especially when my dual wielding berzerker speed class really got rolling. Still worth a look for fans of the first game, even if it's just to keep in touch while waiting for the third game.

This game is different from FPS which was refreshing. Like the title says, it is just like you're in it. The game characters interact with you that way. It can be a bit challenging at times cause you have to do some unknown maneuvers to overcome some ghosts. your buddies do clue you in, though. Graphics, sounds, camera view and game mechanics are very good. Cut scene graphics could be better, but gameplay graphics are way better. This beats all the old GB games out there, obviously. You will not be disappointed.

I am giving this 1 star to inform potential buyers:

I purchased the Digital Download from Amazon but the Activation Key it came with was invalid so I couldn't play the game. Amazon told me I had to contact Atari to solve the problem, I did but Atari did not reply. I uninstalled the game and Amazon gave me a refund.

You will want to buy this game for console to avoid all the PC activation and installation problems. Or take your chances with this and hope you have better luck than I did.

Even Viggo makes a return in a taunting painting that gets annoyed when you interact with it. Great game, but a lot of technical issues, somehow I still loved it.

As others have said, this game is very, very short, very simple, and has little replay value. The only challenge to this game is in learning the controls for the first time. After about thirty minutes or less you have those down and then you are left with one of the easiest games ever produced. This game does have some fun moments initially, but after experiencing them for the 50th time, it gets old. What is really sad is that this game had huge potential, it was based on an amazing movie, the ability to curve bullets provides a good chance for innovative gaming, and the few slow-time scenes were fun, if scripted. The problem is, the game does not have any of the wit of the movie. Every line of dialog is forced, sounding like it was written by a third-grader who just liked the swearing in the movie (this must be why Wesley apparently developed a bad case of Torette's) and the storyline starts off well but quickly dies a horrid death due to (again) forced twists and conflicting scenes. This would have been better more as a Hitman-type game, where you had targets that you had to take out, but had to use your skills such as bullet curving and slow-time to do it, not as the third-person shooter it was.

The bullet curving could have been the best thing about this game, creating a unique fighting style, however it is so formulaic, it becomes boring quickly (lock, angle, shoot, done). There are several scenes where your adrenaline kicks in and you go into a slow-time mode where you can shoot bullets out of the air and take out the baddies, this is fun but is very scripted each time, would have been better if you could have used this ability during the normal game and could use your bullet-curving power with it.

The NPC's are horrible as well. There are basically three types of bad-guys, once you figure them out the game might as well be over. The first is the thug, usually one hit take-down, the second is the slightly stronger thug, takes multiple bullets, but just bullet curve, then shoot when he stumbles. The third is the elite hitman, he can doge your rounds to an extent, but still is easy to take down (the melee attacks take down anything with one hit anyway). There are also a few snipers and shield troops, but they are just variants of the above. All enemies appear in a set manner, so if you do happen to die once, you will know where they are the second time. The bosses are a joke. All have a set pattern and are ridiculously easy, even the last boss.

Finally, the weapons, or lack thereof I should say. There is no variety here and I'm not sure why they even bothered with ammo limits, as I never found myself low on ammo or having to scrounge. The sniping scope was lame, hard to aim and a one shot-one kill, no matter where you hit. The fixed MG was bad, but with this one, once you figured out where to put your gun as you hid behind it, you could get the sights on pretty quickly when you pop up to aim. A cool thing would have been to be able to set up a sniper shot like in the movie, set a trap for your target, pick a sniping location, and calculate the path of the bullet (or maybe even control the round in the air). Again, more like Hitman, would at least make you think for a second.

Pros:

-Decent Graphics (not Great).

-Innovative Game-Play in Places.

-Easy Achievements (A pro for some...I'm just trying to be nice, lol).

Cons:

-Wasted Potential for a Great Game.

-Extreme Lack of Variety (guns, baddies, overall game-play).

-Horrible Script and Confused, Forced Story.

-Short (less than 4 hours for most).

-Lack of Replay-Value (even with the additional modes).

-Lack of Online Gaming.

This game is good for a rental when you are bored and have absolutely nothing else to do for a few hours, otherwise, stay away. Play the demo, if you don't mind doing anything but that over and over again, maybe you will like it.

Beat it in three hours. Easy breezy. Great for the xbox achievements but fun factor was minimal.

The levels I was looking forward to were button cut scenes. So that was a let down.Fun to play through once. But nothing else to keep you playing again.

You play on medium and you get the achievement after beatin the level plus the achievement for EASY too. Whats the point? Its cool. Just not great.

The game Wanted Weapons of fate takes place right after the movie and it about Westley trying to find out what happed to his mom or something and this game is awesome what i liked about is that you play as Westley and his father cross and do really cool missions like trying to escape a plane to fighting enemies and a wide selection of levels. this game is more like gears of war were you go cover to cover and pop out of hiding and shoot enemies and in this game it feels like it but at a faster rate which makes it cool and gives you more easy to take down enemies

-slow motion parts were you have to shoot down bullets and enemies before they hit you

Extremely short campaighn, with a low production value to boot. But it's got one thing going for it. Curving bullets never gets old, and that one gimmick is what makes this game worth while. It's one of the better games in the bargain bin, but you're not missing much if you pass it up. If you do go for it though, have fun curving them bullets. You will love it. The demo is free in the X-box marketplace. And as it turns out that demo is like ten percent of the game, seriously. But the demo gives you a real good feel for how the whole game is.

I'm a huge Guitar Hero fan. The design of this product is fantastic. But the responsiveness is where it sucks.

Let me explain why. It will work great for people on Easy and Medium. But when it comes to Hard and Expert, it will not be very willing to cooperate. The guitar uses a 2.4Ghz wireless USB dongle instead of the PS3's built-in Bluetooth (Great, I have to search for it if I lose it). If you have to strum up and down on fast sections, it will not register some of the notes. I can get over 600,000 points on Through the Fire and Flames on Expert on the Wii version of this game, but I can get only around 400,000 with the PS3 version using this guitar (Yes, I'm serious, I'm an expert player). It always doesn't register a note on the Intro during my 2-hand tapping and I have strum again to get back on the hammer-on and pull-off path. When I have to strum up and down on fast sections, it won't register some of the notes. (Wow, I wonder why this is getting so many 5 star reviews.)

If you plan to play on Easy and Medium the whole time, this guitar is ok. But if you plan to play on Hard or Expert, then I recommend finding a different guitar.

I have the GHWT kit and needed an extra axe. I picked up the Legends of Rock Slash les paul double guitar/game set.

The guitar is shorter than the stock GH guitar so playing it while sitting is painful because its too short for an average sized adult. It feels like your playing a child's toy.

The action is rough and laggy due to the sloppiness in the strum bar. The stock GH-WT guitar is beautiful compared to this guitar with the slider on the neck and the crisp quiet strum bar that is so much more responsive and quick to recover during fast strumming.

I really thought this product would be of better quality. With the Gibson name on the head I guessed Gibson quality would shine throughout, I was sad to learn this was not the case.

I'll be selling both les pauls on ebay and looking for a new guitar.

It took Red Octane to much time to get their act together and sell an unbundled Les Paul Guitar controller but they finally did. Guitar works great and I have not noticed any interference between the two guitars when playing multi-player. The addition of a second guitar makes this game even more fun.

Amazon also sells this controller $10 cheaper than if you buy it directly from Red Octane. The order process through Amazon was also outstanding. I paid for two day shipping and got the controller one day after placing the order. Great work Amazon and better late than never Red Octane!

Though your Xbox One controller runs on AA batteries and includes one pair of them, it's so much nicer to have the Play and Charge Kit rather than burning through costly AA batteries. Even rechargeable AA batteries aren't as good, they don't last quite as long per discharge, and you have to remove them to recharge them. It's much easier to just plug in the charging cable when your juice is low.

These rechargeable batteries seem a little smaller than the Xbox 360 ones, but worked great all through my Xbox One's launch night. The only very minor downside is it takes a few seconds longer to swap these batteries out than it did to swap out an Xbox 360 battery, but I like the tradeoff of having the Xbox One controller be slimmer and sleeker since there isn't a big battery jutting out the back. The swap time doesn't really matter anyway since you use the cable to recharge it, where on the 360 I usually swapped one out of my Quick Charge kit (Microsoft hasn't yet released a similar product for the Xbox One yet).

The charging cable is sufficiently long to play from my couch (8 feet away from my TV). Took an hour or so for the initial charging to finish from whatever capacity percentage these come from the factory. Don't bother with the third-party junk batteries. While the cable is just a basic micro USB and interchangeable, off-brand rechargeable batteries are rarely worth bothering with for the small difference in price. The cable itself seems pretty high quality too though, it snaps in and has a very solid connection, which I like.

My only complaint isn't about this product, but about the Xbox One design. The single USB port is on the console's left side instead of how the Xbox 360 has two ports on the front. This makes it not reach quite as far, and is also more risky in the event of someone tripping over the cable. Instead of it just yanking out, it might tug the cord in a bad way and damage the cable or the USB port.

I recommend buying the bundle with the controller for a $10 discount though ($75 instead of $60+$25=$85), unless you only ever plan on having one controller I suppose. Amazon is sold out of those at the time of this review, but my local Best Buy and Walmart still had stacks of them, so you may want to try a local store.

Update 2013.11.24: I've gotten at least about 20 hours of on-time without the battery dying since I got my Xbox One. I didn't go until it died before plugging in the cable, but it seems to have about as much life in it as the old Xbox 360 rechargeables. Maybe even a little bit more since all my 360 ones are aging and gradually losing their charge, though this one will probably do the same over time.

Its a tad pricey compared to other 3rd party batteries and cables, but the quality of the kit is worth it. 3rd party kits are notorious for using cheap alternatives and have shorter life spans making this product a no brainer to pick over alternatives.

I bought this thinking it would be just like the series and truth to be told its very simliar to the series. (Ha Ha, now only if I know japanese then I could tell what they were saying) This game is in Japanese and it has very little english for all you fairy tail fans who are in america or other countries. I love the fact how you can play as lucy, natusa, gray, erza, happy and more of the cast. You can unlock more of the cast as you continue. (some of them mentioned in the series like Cana 'who may I say you don't see much but is still in the guild, lets see who else. (though I'm not yet done with the game so this is where I've gotten.)

(they'll help you level up and earn you some cash.) I find this extremely fun. But if your a beginner player you might find it a bit hard, and try not to use lucy till she gets another spirit. Finally here is the most important advice DO NOT GET IT USED! I DID THAT AND IT WASN'T USED VERY GOOD THE CONDITION WAS AWFUL!

Guitar Hero 3 (GH3) is the fourth iteration in this series of games despite it being labeled the third, though for most people the 80s edition that was the actual third game was a bit of a footnote since it only came out on PS2 and had very little in it that differed from Guitar Hero 2 other than the songs.

GH3 continues with the same basic formula as the previous games which will keep fans of the series happy, but at the same time adds some welcome new features. One of the best additions is that of online play so that you can now do co-op, face-off, pro face-off and battle mode with a friend over the Live network.

The battle mode is a change up from the normal face-off modes in that instead of gaining star power you acquire attacks from playing certain sequences of notes. Then when you turn the guitar up as if you were going to use star power it instead launches an attack at your opponent. The attacks vary in their nastiness and while I was skeptical of this new aspect of the game it's actually a nice twist for those more competitive players.

Another addition is the co-op career mode, but unfortunately you can't play this mode online which means you'll have to get a friend over with their guitar to experience this mode.

Speaking of the guitar the new wireless Gibson Les Paul style guitar controller is a welcome change from the original 360 GH2 controller. Overall it just feels a lot more solid, especially the whammy bar. Not being wired makes a big difference in terms of convenience. There are GH3 bundles out there with the original GH2 controller in them and I would recommend passing on those in favor of the wireless bundle.

The career mode remains mostly the same as in the previous games. There are now little animated vignettes between each set that don't add much to the overall experience, but certainly are a welcome change from the old bus driving across the country scenes in the previous games. The other addition to career mode is that at the end of certain sets you have to enter battle mode with another guitarist. By now most people know that Tom Morello and Slash are the two real guitarists who you battle against in the game. Both contributed original guitar compositions for their battle sections and can be unlocked as avatars in the game.

The playing experience itself is much the same, though it seems the game is even more forgiving in the timing of when you play notes than even GH2 was and hammer-ons and pull-offs are also very easy to do. For experienced players this will obviously make the game easier in some respects, but at the same time the note structure has been mixed up a bit and the later songs are pretty challenging on Hard and Expert.

While the multiplayer aspect adds a lot more playability to the game at the same time the core of the experience remains the songs and for this game there are even more original songs than before and the song list is pretty great.

Overall GH3 rocks the house in much the same way as the previous games, but with the addition of some new features it doesn't feel like more of the same. Multiplayer adds a new aspect that should give the game a lot more life overall between those times when you get your friends over to the house.

I adore the Guitar Hero series. It is incredibly fun, can be played co-op, and exposes players to all sorts of great music. Guitar Hero III ups the ante with even more fantastic songs plus a new battle mode for fun head to head gameplay!

Once again you're a small time band starting off in your garage or make that, your back yard. As you play through songs on your guitar controller, your career begins to take off. You make videos, play larger arenas, and earn money. The money lets you buy yourself new outfits and guitars. As you battle special players, you unlock their characters like Slash from Guns 'N Roses.

In every Guitar Hero game there have been songs I've liked and other songs I haven't liked. That's going to be true pretty much no matter who you are. They try their very best to provide a wide range of music to suit all guitar tastes, and they do an excellent job at it. Some of the songs are SUPER in this set and got me up off the couch dancing around while I played along.

The new battle mode is a ton of fun. Before, you'd get a simple encore at the end of each set. This time you occasionally have to fight a newcomer for guitar supremacy. In battle mode you earn "attacks" that you can then lob at your opponent. These do things like break strings, make you play double notes, make your screen shake, and much more. It is super fun. Near the end of the game when you're down in "Hades", you have to battle the devil himself playing ... Devil went down to Georgia!

There are of course the extras to unlock by doing things like playing 100 notes in a row, the ability to play against friends head to head locally, plus the new ability to play against others online! Talk about a true challenge! It was always scary enough looking at XBox Live and seeing how amazingly high some of those scores were. Imagine trying to play those people live?

The graphics are great. Each location is fleshed out in fantastic detail, from the flickering flames of Hades to the glowing red lanterns of your back yard. The audience always seems a little robotic, but heck, how much do you want from a guitar game?

Many of the songs are now original band-sung songs including a Living Color song that the band re-recorded specifically for this game! There are still a collection of songs that are "in the style of" some are good, some are really not so good. The Stevie Ray Vaughn song stands out as the not-so-good reproduction. Still, what can you do. Why aren't those bands giving the Guitar Hero guys permission to use their real tracks? Don't they know how immensely popular this game is?

We do have the wireless guitar controller and it's worked pretty flawlessly so far. We've noticed a tiny amount of 'misses' with the red button, but that may be us getting used to it, we'll have to see.

Highly, highly recommended. It was so much fun that my boyfriend, a guitar player, would occasionally try to play the "real notes" rather than the Guitar Hero game notes. It really is absorbing!

Make sure you get TWO guitars to go with it, so you can play with a friend!

It's kind of baffling what's happened with this game. Neversoft has certainly recognized some of the shortcomings of its predecessor, but have somehow managed to not solve even one of those issues, and have, in fact, introduced new problems to be addressed. I'll do this as a sort of point-by-point thing, to keep it organized:

1. Medium-to-Hard. In Guitar Hero 2, the jump from Medium to Hard was only slightly more enjoyable than stepping in front of a speeding bus. The main reason this was such a problem was that the game was very, very poorly designed for getting players over that average-to-hard hump. For one thing, the initial two difficulty settings compel you to adapt your grip on the fretboard to leave your index finger on the green button, pinky on the blue button, and keep each assigned to its place. With the introduction of the orange button, that's no longer really a viable strategy if you want to avoid crippling the weaker side of your hand. Additionally, in 2, upon reaching hard difficulty, the speed of the notes down the fretboard doubled, the fifth button was introduced, and chords and note orders increased in complexity. Those three things were enough to make hard a no-go for a lot of people in principle where a gentler slope would have taken care of that.

In response, Neversoft has tried to reduce the impact of the change in difficulty by making the Medium notes move just about as fast as the Hard difficulty ones. Unfortunately, instead of making the Medium to Hard transition easier (still very difficult because of the whole hand-training thing), it just makes the Easy to Medium transition much more jarring. Hard is still so hard that I barely want to try it at all.

2. Uncomfortable Play I swear, the designers have put some of these songs together specifically to be painful for me. Seriously playing Knights of Cydonia I thought I was going to cripple myself. On Medium. These guys really need to get some bad players into the office to see if they're not making something dangerous. I should not find out that I'm bad at a game by giving myself a repetitive motion injury.

3. Guitar Battles This is a new problem for the single player. Guitar battles in multiplayer might be a good idea. I don't honestly know. Seems more interesting than a score-off to me. Unfortunately, in single player, because of the way the attacks are set up, they're really just an exercise in coin flipping. Some of the attacks are utterly crippling to the computer player while others, in addition to having a large delay before they become effective, essentially have no impact whatsoever. If you get the good attacks while you're trying to play, you'll win. If you don't, you lose. Whether you're any good or not is really not of much relevance. That's bad. Guitar battles in single player, for me, tended toward exercises in frustration at the computer not giving me the tools I needed to succeed and not having any other recourse to win. They need retooling.

4. Cooperative Campaign This is a wonderful idea. It really is. But what half-brain decided that there should be exclusive tracks squirreled away in it that I cannot get to? That's right I am totally unable to unlock those tracks, because I cannot play the cooperative campaign online. I'll confess I'm old. My friends are married and have families. The only time I'm going to have somebody with another guitar at my house is if I throw a party, and I'm not really a party kind of guy. That's not a good reason to keep me from playing frigging Sabotage if I want to. I will grant that they have made the songs themselves available in online coop play, but nothing I do online seems to unlock anything for me to practice (and I SERIOUSLY need to practice Helicopter before I try THAT again). Maybe I'm doing it wrong, but I'm going to assume I know what I'm doing.

5. Song List Guitar Hero 2 was pretty good in this regard. It had a good sampling from a broad spectrum of rock (maybe a little light on new stuff). Guitar Hero 3 seems to be making a point of digging in the dustbins of rock history. It's not that the songs are bad, but many of them are outside of my experience, and that puts me off. I'm a child of the 90s. This game seems to be a schizophrenic effort to appeal to younger people than me and to older people than me. Some of the songs also puzzle me. Kool Thing? Really, guys? I can't even tell what I'm supposed to be doing there. It's barely a song. There's better Sonic Youth. There's a distressing number of songs where the lead guitar is nearly invisible, and that makes it kind of hard to play. The number of master tracks is also disappointingly small, compared to its soon-to-be-released competitor, Rock Band.

Don't get me wrong the game is fun for what it is, but there's just so much here that could have been done better. Should have, really. I hope Neversoft takes some time on the next installment, puts in a fifth difficulty level (between Normal and Hard), and works out the kinks in their new stuff.

I loved GH2 and bought GH3 the first day it was released. There's just something about the game-play and the guitar controller that is addictively fun and has me playing these games over and over, to the annoyance of my girlfriend. But Guitar Hero 3 is a bit of a step back.

The music isn't as good, for one thing. The non-master tracks all sound kind of garbled or they just sound "off" (Stevie Ray Vaughn's "Pride and Joy" or ZZ Top's "La Grange" for example). In GH2, the game did a better job of replicating the non-master tracks, IMHO. Then there are times when you're playing along more to the synthesizer track or the drums, rather than a guitar ("Suck My Kiss" by the Red Hot Chili Peppers isn't exactly a classic "guitar" song and the Beastie Boys' "Sabotage" isn't really a guitar game at all, though the Rock Band version might have you re-think that).

Also, the game-play just doesn't seem to be as well-synched as in the original GH2. The buttons come flashing at you in a random way and it isn't as much like playing a guitar as in GH2. I like the variety of music, though, and one of my favorite songs to play is Slipkot's "Before I Forget" and I'm not really a fan of heavy metal at all.

Also with the game play, as others have mentioned, the move from Easy to Medium to Hard really needs some work. Easy was far too "easy"--I got 100% scores on the first 10-12 songs I played, the first time I played them (that wasn't the case in GH2). And the Medium setting is just too hard in some cases (Muse's "Knights of Cydonia," Metallica's "One"). I don't think I'll ever beat Lou at the end of the Medium setting, and I can't even imagine trying to play at Hard or Expert (I'm an older guy, and my hands can't take the stress--developers need to keep us in mind, too; these games aren't all being played by teens and pre-teens; I can't imagine the playlist really appeals to those much younger than about mid-20s).

That brings up the whole guitar battle aspect of the game. These are either far too easy or far too difficult and there really isn't a lot of rhyme or reason to how the attacks get thrown at you. Luckily, I discovered that if you fail a battle three times in a row, you get the opportunity to "wuss out," or I might never have gotten past Slash and on to the rest of the game. As for exclusive songs in the co-op mode, that's just plain a bad idea (there are unlock codes to open them up for the Quick Play mode).

Finally, though, having purchased Rock Band and seeing the wealth of stuff that's available on that disc, I just have to say that GH3 is a bit of a "bare bones" presentation. There's so much more that could have been done with this. I enjoyed playing GH3, but can't imagine when I'll come back to it, unless a friend (or relative) with a guitar controller happens to stop by. You're paying quite a bit for a game that you'll probably (depending on your age/past experience with the franchise) finish very quickly.

Basically, GH3 is for hardcore rhythm game fans. Many knock the game for the things it doesn't share with RB(full set of instruments, less dowloadable content) I will celebrate the differences. You wouldn't want 2 of the same game out there. GH3 is much more difficult than RB and offers more guitar centric tracks(for obvious reasons) Suprisingly, GH3 out trumps RB in forms of difficulty progression and actually telling a story. In RB you basically play songs in different locations until you see the end credits. I didn't even realize the last song of the game was the final song because it was just as difficult as the rest of the songs. You won't make that mistake in GH3. The final 3 songs are probably the hardest time ive had with the genre( even on normal) and the Dragonforce song that plays during the credits is unbelievable. I like the story in GH3. I wont spoil it but you basically go from rags to riches to infamy. All in all, at some points the game seems too hard and the play list is kind of hit or miss. All in all GH3 is worth a buy if you find RB too easy.
