It was time that a solid portable fighting game made it's way in America. But Street Fighter Alpha don't have much competition, and the only wanabee competitor is X-Men M.A. (that game really sucks). All in all, Street' is a good looking fighter with great gameplay. It is very much like the original version, but the only complaint I have is that the sounds effects could have been so much better...oh yeah it don't have the link cable feature either...

This is one of the best game I owned so afr. it has excellent graphics and the moves are not difficult to excute at all, especially Akuma's utlimate super combo. the only flaw it has it that the hiddent characters such as akuma, m.bison, and dan are chosen randomly, there is a sort of pattern, but there are no codes for choosing them.

Best Deals for Street Fighter Alpha: Warriors' Dreams

Forget all those horrible fighting game translations that hit the original GameBoy and GameBoy Color (most of them started with Mortal Kombat) and take a good long look and Capcom's 8-bit version of Street Fighter Alpha for the GBC. Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, Charlie, Rose, Guy, Sodom, and Birdie; all of which look surprisingly faithful to their more powerful console bretheren, albeit some lacking animation and detail. Controls are surprisingly solid and the special moves will take time to pull off but once you do they're easy. The sound is mostly terrible and you'll want to turn down your GBC's volume, and the endings for each character are ridicuously cheesy, but the meat and bones of Street Fighter Alpha is the fighting itself, and that is where this comes out a winner. All in all, Street Fighter Alpha for the GBC may not be the best fighter to come along, but in the case of the GBC it reigns supreme.

Honest reviews on Street Fighter Alpha: Warriors' Dreams

The last great fighting game for Game Boy Color. Good graphics and the same great characters that made Street Fighter famous on the SNES are back in this fast-paced game! There is a practice mode where you can set your opponents skill rating. You'll need to practice your moves and special moves if you want to go to tournament mode! In tournament mode things are alot harder so you'll have to practice in practice mode. The graphics are great and the music is okay. Be sure to get this game!

This is the best fighting game for game boy since I can remember. There are two complaints of mine. the first complaint is, the sound effects are awful, but the graphics are good, and the music is O.K. The other complaint is that there are only three game modes; Arcade mode, Training mode, and opsions. But I guess if you add the good and the bad things together, it comes out even. Bottom line. This game is fun and it tades only ten minuetes to beat on easy. Bottom line. This games teen rating, don't worry about it.

Most of the games for X-box PS2 etc are designed for YOUNG people who have great hand/ eye coordination and lightning fast reflexes. This is fine but I am 56 years old and cannot play most of these games (at least not very well). But THIS ONE I am not only playing but I'm doing very well at it. It is loads of fun. I don't even play Real Golf but I still enjoy this game a lot. It is expensive but worth it. I don't compete online in ANY Games as these young folks would kill me!

Having bought and played the EA Sports Tiger Woods series since it came out I have a pretty good idea of what is to be expected. I loved TW 2004 and played that game until the disc starting smoking and caught on fire. For all the people who want to buy a golf game and don't have TW 2004 you should buy this game especially since you can buy 2005 for thirty bucks now. If you have 2004 and also have Xbox live you should buy 2005 since the online play is great. If you don't have Xbox live I will break down what I like and dislike about the game.

What I like about TW 2005 -

First of all the basic controls are the same and gameplay is almost exactly the same they did add Tiger vision but I will get back to that later. The graphics are similar and the courses are similar. There are more golfers to choose from and I am very excited that Natalie Gulbis is added again this year because she is beautiful and she adds alot to the LPGA tour. There are better clothes this year, and more sponsorships

are available in your PGA tour season. Also they added Tiger-proofing, I haven't really gotten really in depth into that so I can't say to much about it but it looks pretty cool.

What I dislike about TW 2005 -

There is basically one thing. The game is too easy. This is where the Tiger-vision comes into play there is no skill in putting now. They should make the Legends harder. The PGA tour season is too easy. The first tournament I finished 70 strokes ahead of the next person. Other than this I really love this game. I do have one minor complaint. Some of the "fictional" courses have illegal holes. If it is humanly impossible to reach the green in four stokes on a par five that is an illegal hole. I think there is one hole that is a par four and its impossible to reach the green in three strokes too. These are stupid complaints though.

Basically I bought this game because I love the EA Sports Tiger Woods series, if you do as well.....Hurry and buy this game!!

Pros: the more customization of players and courses.

New courses such as Colonial, Troon North Monument, Turnberry. Edgewood at Tahoe.

Cons: Dropped great courses (unless I somehow can't find them), including Torrey Pines, Pinehurst, Bethpage, Royal Birkdale, Spyglass Hill, Sahalee, TPC Scottsdale, and Poppy Hills.

Game play is pretty much idential to preveious years.

Equipment manufacturers OK = Taylor Made, Ping, Cleveland, Callaway, Nike, and this year Dunlop. Also can buy shafts. But where is the big boy of the golf ball market Titleist?

I'm all for adding improvements in the area of customization for players, but not at the expense of courses to play on. I suggest that if you already have 2004, don't bother buying 2005. If you don't have 2004, 2005 might be a good purchase.

Honest reviews on Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2005 - Xbox

Tiger Woods 2005 is a lot of fun. I had the 2003 version and this was a big upgrade. The game would be ever funner if it wasn't quite so easy.It is kind of stupid too play in a PGA Tour event and shoot 85 under par while the second place guy is at -6.

I've enjoyed playing Tiger Woods for the last 2 years on the XBox. I've been excited for the last year knowing that we will finally be able to play online via XBox Live with the 2005 version.

I just confirmed that EA Sports has made this version so that only 2 people, that's right, only TWO can play online at a time. What happened to being able to play 3 other people (4 at a time) online???

Links (from Microsoft) has been out for a year now and one of the best things about that game is that you can have a foursome, just like regular golf.

Tiger Woods 2005 has all the bells and whistles to make a great looking game, however, one of the key selling points for me was being able to play with 4 people online. There are many of us who have been playing Links for the last year waiting for the new Tiger Woods version, and now we are not going to purchase it. It looks like we'll be staying with Links for another year.

Too bad EA Sports, you really dropped the ball on this one.

Bottom line up front: If you are a game collector or a Batman enthusiast, then this is worth the money.

**UPDATE since writing the original review (which can be found at the end of the update)**

Since writing this review, I have beaten the game and loved every minute of it. There are definitely some intellectual challenges that I honestly wouldn't have been able to overcome if I hadn't had the game guide (which I highly recommend as well).

But, my opinion of the game did not deteriorate at all as the game progressed. It was fun, stimulating, and challenging. Once again, I think it is worth the money.

**END OF UPDATE original review below**

Normally, I don't play super hero games, because normally, they stink. But, my wife got me Batman Arkham Asylum for my birthday last year and I ended up loving it. So, I was definitely looking forward to this sequel when I heard about it. The trailers and reviews were not misleading. The introductory screen shots and (showing the companies that produced/designed the game i.e. WB, Rocksteady) impressed me. The main menus are also eye candy.

As far as gameplay, it feels more or less the exact same as the first game which is good. The combat system in this game is fun, fluid, and intuitive. But, they did make improvements. Batman has some new moves and takedowns and combos and it isn't any more complicated of a system to utilize.

The storyline so far (I haven't beaten yet) is fun and well thought out. Rocksteady did a really good job bringing Batman's reality into our reality. There was a lot of attention to detail with regard to the relationships and backstories of all of the characters.

As far as the Collector's Editition packaging and contents: I do not at all regret spending the extra $40 on this at all. I got some cool DLC codes (Batman the Animated Series skin and two Catwoman skins, as well as a downloadable sound track exclusive to the Collector's Edition). The statue is really good quality and looks good on my shelf with my other game collectibles. I do want to mirror the only complaint I've seen about this edition of the game so far and that is that the game disc is in the back of the art book. I do wish the game disc had an actual XBox 360 game case. But, this is honestly a minor complaint in my book.

Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>

Arkham City is a Fantastic game to say the least. It is extremely fun and entertaining. Being a big Batman fan I decided to pre-order the collectors edition only to be let down by it. The first dissapointment is the lack of a seperate case. The game disc is in a jewel-case holder in the rear of the art book which is an annoyance to get to. The hard jewel plastic seems to scratch the disc easier than the softer plastic of a typical xbox case. The other gripe I have with the CE was that not all of the goodies were there or correct (from the factory, not the distributor). The trading cards were nowhere to be found, and instead of a Gotham Knights blu-ray, it was a DVD. The only way to obtain these items is to contact WB support. After doing this and giving them my info, here we are 3 months later and my CE still isn't complete. Am i totally upset by this? Not really. Will I buy the next games CE? Probably not. The upside is that the statue is a great piece, but it's not worth the extra money. I recommend this product if you want to pay $40 more for a neat statue, a bad movie, and some stuff you're not going to get.

If you're a fan of Batman, if you're a hardcore gamer, if you just like stuff that's good... Batman: Arkham City IS the game for you! Don't hesitate in buying this game, and don't hesitate in playing it. With free-roaming over miles of Gotham City to explore, and thousands of criminals to deal with, you won't get bored with this game. The main missions and the side missions gives this game more impact and meaning. For us Bat-fans, there are a bunch of Easter Eggs, characters and shocking moments that'll make you stay addicted to this game.

I figured this would be really cool. I was wrong. I received a lot of feed back about how horrible the mic quality was. I used it for about a month before giving up on it and going back to the original headset.

This mic is pretty good, my friends could hear me good but it was a little hard for me to hear them if they were talking lower, but for the price its pretty good. it came as described by seller and even came a day or two early. I would recommend this to anyone.

Honest reviews on Gioteck TX2 Throat Mic (Xbox 360)

I can say from the last three days of gaming from COD to RE this headset does it all. The fact that gunfire and other noise does not affect communication is amazing, would not use any other except for Turtle Beach. Now one drawback is you get no back ground sounds so anyone sneaking up on you is a disadvantage to this mic set. Over all this mic is boss its light and comfortable and has no wires to worry about so convenience is A+. I would recommend for gamers who love the free style headsets and love combat style communications to help the team win the game.

Review of Wii U Deluxe Set with New Super Mario Bros U and New Super Luigi U

Wii U Deluxe Set with New Super Mario Bros U and New Super Luigi U
Customer Ratings: 4 stars
Buy Now
I'm mostly writing this review to counter balance a 1-star review written by someone complaining about price. NOTE: Currently the item is overpriced, but that is because Amazon no longer sells Nintendo consoles directly. Do some research and you will see why. Basically the prices on here are being manipulated by third party sellers. The MSRP is $299.99, and if you look elsewhere and you should be able to find it at that price. Regardless of the pricing on here though, there really is no reason to bash the product itself.

Anyways, this is a great bundle, for anyone who likes Mario games and wants to step up from the previous generation. In the box you'll receive a Wii U (well, duh!) & a gamepad, both in the sleek color of black. It also includes the latest New Super Mario Bros. games + DLC on one disc, along with power/HDMI cables, and stands for standing the Wii U vertically, charging station for gamepad, a sensor bar, manuals, ect.

The value is amazing (though I wish they had thrown in a pro controller :P) I bought this for my brother for Christmas at Target. He'll love it. Hope you enjoy it too. Don't listen to the one star reviews. Wii U is awesome, I've played it many times.

Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>

Bought this Wii U bundle at Target November 1st for $292. I had a 5% discount card from my pharmacy awards that I used on top of my 5% Red Card savings. The retail price at places like Target and Best Buy is $299.99. This is a great bundle with two great games. I waited to purchase a Wii U for a year so that more games would be out and the price be lower. Trust me, now is the time to get a Wii U. Buy it now so that you can play it with friends and family this Thanksgiving and Christmas. The new game pad with built in touch screen is awesome. One warning, it took me about 3 hours to hook everything up, download the latest software update to version 4.0, and transfer my data from my old Wii to the new Wii U. Transferring data from your Wii to the Wii U is pretty cumbersome and annoying. You will want to make sure you have at least a 512 MB SD card on hand to do the transfer. Just follow the instructions and remain patient.

Best Deals for Wii U Deluxe Set with New Super Mario Bros U and New Super Luigi U

I love this so much. I honestly wouldn't buy it from Amazon, they have it for a higher price than Nintendo is selling it, through other vendors. If I were going to buy it again, I'd buy it from GameStop, like I did the first time.

Pros:

1) Nintendo exclusives are VERY well made, especially the ones that will be coming in the future.

2) This is the deluxe edition, meaning you get a larger hard drive than the regular one, stands for your Wii U and GamePad, and you get it in black!

3) You get both, New Super Mario Bros. U and New Super Luigi Bros. U with this, which is about an $80-$90 value, which is free with this bundle.

4) The GamePad is a great way to see other things without having to switch to another screen on the actual TV, like a map or an inventory.

5) You can switch from the TV to the GamePad in certain games, that way people can watch a TV show while you or your kids can continue their game.

Cons:

1) It's talked down about for the above reasons, which I like and seem to think are pros. Negative reviews almost turned me away from this, which sucks.

Please, don't let the negative reviews change your mind about this. I really like it and I think it's pretty cool for a next gen. gaming console.

Honest reviews on Wii U Deluxe Set with New Super Mario Bros U and New Super Luigi U

This set is an exceptional value. I had been holding out on the Wii U for a while, waiting for something like this to come up.

After working a few 60 hour weeks, I paid for my PS4 and decided to upgrade the old lady's Wii to a Wii U. And? Wise decision.

While I'm still not a fan of the massive Game Pad, the sheer amount of enjoyment you can get out of this package is incredible. Two (well, one and a half) games included and you can use your old Wii Remotes (even the non-Motion Plus remotes! Score!). New Super Mario Bros. U is mindless fun with friends and the addition of Luigi U means that you're set up for a sizable amount of gameplay out of the box.

The system is easy to set up (physically and software-wise), but the software setup is a chore. Nintendo still hasn't figured out networking. I have no idea why download speeds on Nintendo platforms are so slow, but the update took over an hour to download. After the update was installed, getting everything connected to various accounts was also a hassle. But after all of THAT tomfoolery, the system was really enjoyable to work with. As much as I'm not a fan of the Game Pad, it's really pretty awesome to control the menus on a tablet over using the screen interface.

I'm really happy I decided to pick this up. Anyone who has been on the fence about Wii U now has the benefit of this package (or the Zelda package... which I was going to get, but the lady likes her Mario games). I would argue that, despite the PS4 and Xbox One launching this year, Nintendo now has the most compelling system on the market. Just my opinion. But I'm probably going to go play Skyrim after writing this.

+ You can use the non-Motion Plus Wii Remotes.

+ HDMI cable included; graphics look super sharp. Finally, Nintendo!

+ Included games will keep you busy for quite some time.

+ System is small, fits easily into entertainment center.

+ Netflix and TV controls are pretty snazzy.

Game Pad is a clunky means of control; look, I get ityou can take the game with you, etc. But I don't have kids and it just gets in the way.

Setting up the system takes much more time than is necessary. Nintendo Network/Club Nintendo stuff needs to be bundled together.

We're going to get next to nothing for the old Wii.

Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Wii U Deluxe Set with New Super Mario Bros U and New Super Luigi U

I bought this at bestbuy for $299. I'm not sure why the price is higher here but much cheaper than xbox and ps4 regardless. As always, Nintendo has a quality system here. Much better than other systems that recently launched from ms and sony. Getting super mario bros U and the luigi expansion makes it worth it since that is lot of wasted money if you buy it seperately. Yes I am kinda a nintendo fanboy but there are no problems I can report at this time. Saved a lot of money getting the bundle too.

Very happy with this system.

I was in the market for some good surround sound gamine headphones. I Compared the price of these and astro's and tritons and you really get the better deal with the DXL1's. the DSS2 sound processor is alone $70 which is pretty crazy but just for about $20 more you get the surround sound headphone too! The regular x11's, x12's are stereo headphones where the speakers are only Left and Right outputs. Including the DSS2 into the mix will increase the quality but will not come close to these headphones. If you buy the DSS2 by itself then you most likely already have purchased the x11's or the x12' for about $50, totaling aprox. $120! Dont be that person, get this and you wont be disappointed :)

Bought these from walmart because i wanted to try our several different headsets and return what i did not like.

The Good:

First off the sound on these is much better then I anticipated. Pinpointing the directions of footsteps without the need of an equalizer was much better then I expected.

The wires were nice and long. I had no problem with reaching my couch or chair.

The DSS2 Processor was a nice addition to a basic headset, however i did pair the DSS2 with my steelseries V2 and unlike advertised I didn't notice any difference in sound.

With the Turtle beach headset attached to the DSS2 I noticed a big difference in sound.

The Bad:

Although very light, these we the most uncomfortable headsets I have ever used. The pads on the ear cups were more rough then using an off-brand toilet paper.

Overview:

If it weren't for the extremely uncomfortable headset I would have given these another star or two. I would recommend the upgraded version of this headset the DX12 because you get the same sound processor but a much more comfortable headset, the X12

I was looking for a headset that worked well with pc and xbox 360, which is where I found this. It is very sturdy and very light on your head. The cups are large enough to go around your ears and the sound quality is amazing. COD BO2 sounds amazing.

Would recommend to anyone who wants a solid xbox 360 headset. It says the headset is compatable with windows vista, but it functions as headphones with any windows computer. The mic however will not work on anything except the xbox.

Honest reviews on Turtle Beach Ear Force DXL1 Dolby Surround Sound Gaming Headset

I like to use my stuff for about a week before I do my reviews just to get a feel for the product. If you've read any of my other reviews, you know how much headsets I've purchased and tested. The reason why I purchased this is I sold my Astro A40s along with my Xbox a little while ago to buy a gaming PC. Now that GTA V was coming out soon and all of my friends were getting it, I got really hyped and wanted my Xbox again. I got my Xbox a few weeks before the game came out. I played Gears of War 3 in the mean time while waiting for GTA V with just with my stereo output but I couldn't really hear a whole lot. It's really hard to try to play a game when you're so used to having a surround sound headset. I then decided to buy a headset but I didn't feel like spending a whole $250 on a nice headset (not only that, I don't have the money for it). So I did some research and looked into it and decided to go with the DXL1. I couldn't be any more happy.

For starters, the headset itself is very lightweight. Typically with my experience with Turtle Beach, they don't have a good reputation with comfort. With these, I have no discomfort at all. I can wear these for hours and not have any problems. I have glasses and I still have no problem wearing these.

The sound quality is amazing. With the DSS2 Dolby Surround Sound processor, these things are great. It's virtual 5.1 surround sound. They have nine different equalizers and six different surround sound angles so you can set up what sounds best for you and the games you play. Whenever I play Gears of War 3, or Search and Destroy in Modern Warfare 3 (and yes, I still play both), you can hear where the enemy is. Not only that but the fact that you can use basically any headset for the DSS2 processor is awesome. If you want to upgrade to a different headset later on, you can do that and hook it up to the processor but I really don't see the need to upgrade because of how nice the DXL1 is.

I love how long the wire is for the headset. When I just want to relax, I can lay down in my bed and play with the headset, or I can sit down on my chair and game too. And I do like the fact that it's wired and not wireless. I've dealt with wireless headsets before and having to replace batteries all the time is a pain the back.

The only problem I have at time which is really not a huge deal but I sometimes have to shut off the DSS2 and turn it back on when I turn my Xbox off and then later play it. The Dolby Surround Sound won't turn on at times when I start up my Xbox so I'll have to shut off/turn on my DSS2. Not a big deal, just something to be noted.

Overall, this headset is amazing. After having high-end headsets, I really think they don't really compare to this. I paid $70 for this here on Amazon. You really can't beat the price for this wired headset. If you're looking for a nice, comfortable headset with great sound; look no further.

Picked these up to try out some gaming headphones and keep things quiet while playing.

Overall the sound is actually quite good. The bass for explosions and gun fire, such as games like Halo 4 and BF3 sound great. The virtual surround sound works pretty decent as well for being simulated, and you can discern from left/right and behind. I havent tried using the AUX IN, where you can plug in an MP3 player or other source and have it play over the game audio but it sounds like it could be a useful feature as well. Not sure how the AUX IN and game audio would mix, hopefully it wont be a distorted mess. Just based on game audio however, these headphones do have good deep lows and clear highs.

Set up and EQ/speaker positions are easy to figure out, just read the manual. Also the chat is really clear. When on XBL and talking I apparently sound "crystal clear" when using this headset (as I'm told by my bro). For me they seem decently comfortable, although I havent sat and tried using them for longer than 1-2 hours.

The only potential negative is that the newly announced Xbox One has a different port on the bottom of the controller for the chat mic and other accessories. I hope TB releases an adapter so that this head set and other head sets and still be plugged in to the XB1 controllers and their proprietary port.

Best Team Fortress 2 - PC (Collector's) Deals

Team Fortress 2 - PC
Customer Ratings: 4.5 stars
Buy Now
One thing the first-person shooter genre has been tending towards in the last few years is an emphasis on gritty, realistic (or at least semi-realistic) gunplay. This is not a universally-loved proposition. Take a look at two screenshots from two different shooters, and chances are that if you aren't already an avid fan of the genre, you will not be able to tell them apart. The status quo is rather displeasing but who better to shake it up than Valve Software, who have already revitalized the genre twice with the 1998 hit Half-Life and its 2004 sequel? Their effort to this end is Team Fortress 2, and what a terrific game it is.

In spite of its title, Team Fortress 2 is in fact the third iteration in the Team Fortress series, which is known for being the first class-based multiplayer first-person shooter. When it was announced way back in 1999, Team Fortress 2 was supposed to have a highly realistic art direction, but along the way that decision was dropped in favour of a highly stylized art direction. The result is that TF2 looks like no other first person shooter on the market today. Valve has used some clever shading techniques to make both the characters and environments look like cartoon characters, with exaggerated anatomy, bright colours and incredible facial animation.

The audio is similarly inspired. While weapon and impact noises are as good as you would expect them to be, what really shines is the speech and music. The game has a consistent musical theme, and jingles that wouldn't sound out of place in a '60s spy thriller play at the start and end of each round. The characters themselves emote with gusto. Each character has three different unique taunts, and several context-sensitive voice clips that can be triggered at the push of a key. While they fulfil the obvious need for a way of communicating with your teammates, they also help to create what is perhaps the first multiplayer shooter in a long time with actual personality. Whether it's the Demoman's angry Scottish rants, the Medic's odd battle cry of "OKTOBERFEST!" or the Pyro's incoherent muffled yelling, the characters' oddball personalities really grow on you.

Aesthetics aren't everything, so it's a good thing that Valve is on the ball when it comes to gameplay as well. As noted earlier in this review, Team Fortress 2 is primarily a multiplayer game, much like Unreal Tournament and its ilk. Unlike those games, though, the focus here is on teams of players competing against each other to complete specific objectives on a variety of maps. These objectives can include stealing intelligence from the enemy team's base (this game's version of Capture The Flag) or capturing all the control points on a given map. There are several variations on the latter game type, each of which has its own subtleties. The most interesting game type is territorial control, which plays out as a series of smaller battles in a larger battle to control all the areas on a map. There's a lot of variety to be had here; the only possible complaint is that the game ships with only six multiplayer maps from the get-go (with two more available as free downloadable content), but this being a first-person shooter on the PC, there are already numerous high-quality user-made maps making the rounds, thanks to the free Source SDK and Hammer map editor released by Valve.

TF2 wouldn't be much of a Team Fortress game without its classes, and while each of the classes from TFC has made a return, they've all been changed quite drastically. Where TFC had more homogeneity with its classes (particularly with regard to weapon and grenade use) TF2 goes in the opposite direction, offering nine distinct classes with decidedly unique abilities. For instance, the Scout has low hit points, but is the fastest of all the classes, making him the ideal intelligence carrier or point capturer. On the other hand, the Heavy is slow, but can take significant punishment and deal out massive damage with his minigun, and is thus suited for major offensive pushes. The Medic is primarily a support class with poor offensive abilities, but he can also impart a ten-second invulnerability charge at intervals that can really serve to turn the tide of the match in his team's favour. And then there's the calculating, cerebral experience that is the Spy class. No two classes can really be played alike, assuring that even if you manage to master one class, the others are waiting to offer you a completely different gameplay experience every time you log on.

TF2 also implements some interesting features that may be a first for a first-person shooter. In an attempt to get people to keep playing, the game keeps track of your statistics for each round. If a certain player kills you several times, that player is marked out as your nemesis, and you get bonus points for getting revenge on him. Similarly you can dominate players on the other team by killing them repeatedly. In addition, the game uses these stats to reinforce the sense that you're getting better as you play, pointing out little achievements from the previous round, like new records for maximum kills in a single spawn, time spent alive and so on. It's a nice trick to keep players interested in their own progress and keep them playing. However, the most curious of the new features is the critical hit system critical hits are randomly awarded to players on each team, and the chance of getting a critical hit depends on various factors, such as how well you're playing or what weapon you're using. It's an interesting twist, one not usually seen in FPSes, and it's rare enough not to be gamebreaking.

As far as the multiplayer experience goes, TF2 is the first game to benefit from the enhancements to Valve's Steam content delivery service. This means the inclusion of things like achievements, a unified friends list that lets you join your friends' games with a single click, stat tracking and a robust server browser. The multiplayer experience is of a very high standard, and the game is eminently playable even when your ping starts to scrape the low 200s. Full in-game voice chat support is also included, and is crucial if you want to work effectively with your team to win games. The robustness of the online service ensures that more often than not, your TF2 experience will be unhindered by network hiccups.

All in all, Team Fortress 2 is a great multiplayer first-person shooter that will be fondly remembered by many for years to come. It's rare that a game with such a long development cycle turns out to be such a well-polished and high quality affair, so players would do well to savour what this game has to offer. Personality, gameplay, balance TF2 has it all, and is a must-play for any fan of the genre (and maybe even for those who aren't).

NB: I've reviewed the PC version here. As a personal note, I strongly recommend that anyone with an interest in this title pick up the PC version, either through Steam, by purchasing the Orange Box, or the new standalone retail version that comes out this week. The console versions simply do not match up, in that they don't have most of the new content that has arrived on the PC version, and lack the ability to take advantage of the excellent community-generated content.

The game is very well balanced with 9 classes with unique abilities and weaknesses. Valve continues to update and add more maps all the time. The animation and voice over work will have you chuckling as you intensely battle for intelligence and capture points. Be aware that this game is only for online play, and has no single player. So good luck and have fun.

When I initially wrote my review, I wasn't aware of the differences between free-to-play and the retail version. Someone commented that the retail version allows you to have a larger backpack and to trade items with others whereas the free version does not. Had the free option been available when I bought the game, I probably would have opted for the free version.

All in all, this game is super fun and highly addicting. If there is any question in your mind about if it's worth it, just download it from Steam and try it out for free. If you get to the point where you need the trading, bigger backpack, then purchase the retail version from Amazon ($10 cheaper than Steam last time I checked).

Honest reviews on Team Fortress 2 - PC (Collector's)

This game is FREE TO PLAY now. All you have to do is download Steam from Valve software (even if you bought this you'd have to install steam). There is absolutely no reason to buy this unless you feel like giving Electronic Arts free money. Otherwise the game is polished and you could really get into it if you like team based multiplayer shooters.

This is a good game that was an amazing value when I got it as part of the Orange Box. Now Valve has released it (6-23-11) free through their Steam client, hoping to make further money off of micro transactions (like hats?). I wouldn't be buying it at this point. Just get it free through STEAM.

Got the Xbox 360 Wireless Adapter. I am using it together with a pretty fast wireless router (forgot the name/specs, it cost $70) which is about 25 feet away with a direct line of site. My connection seems to be as good as using a wired network, I can't really detect any difference between this wireless setup and my old wired setup.

I've heard bad things about wireless connections being slow for xbox, but I think alot of that has to do with what wireless router you use. Don't use the cheapest router you can find or you will likely be setting yourself up to have slow connection problems also. A good wireless router will run $50-$100, search online for "good wireless routers" and you'll find some options pretty easy.

Dragonball z Budokai is one of the best Dragonball z games ever released. You can choose up to 23 great warriors like Goku, Vegeta, and many others. There are a great deal of unlockable characters. The best part about this game is that you can edit skills in the Edit Skills section. If you are a Dragonball Z fan, then you will love this game. The story follows the anime series very accurately.

The hardest thing abouut the game, though, is the Tournament Mode. Basically, the only way to win is to knock the person out of the ring. As you progress through the tournament, it will get very difficult. for me it took me five long days just to beat the tournament mode, and when you get to the end, you get a bonus character,(I am not telling who the character is.)

I wished they could have put more detail on the game, for example, adding the Majin Buu Saga, but I guess I can see why they Infogrames did not put that part in because the saga is not done on Cartoon Network.

Overall, I think the game is a great game. If you are a Hardcore DBZ fan like me, then you should go out and get it. Maybe the developers will make a part two of this game, at least I hope so.

Best Deals for Dragon Ball Z: Budokai

Dragonball Z: Budokai closely follows the story line from Dragon Ball Z. It begins with the Saiyan saga and finishes with the Cell saga.

Graphics: 5/5.

The graphics are really good in this game. While they aren't "great" compared to other games such as Final Fantasy, you have to keep in mind that the characters are meant to have an anime look.

Gameplay: 4/5

If you have play Final Bout, you shouldn't worry, because the gameplay has vastly improved in Budokai. The controls are easy to learn, and all of the moves are simple to pull off.

Story: 5/5

Quite simply, if you enjoy Dragon Ball Z, than you will enjoy the story line. Its the same thing!

Sound: 5/5

The sound in Dragon Ball Z: Budokai is nothing shorter than amazing. While duking it out with your favorite villian, you can listen to the music of the actual fight from the TV show. The game uses the actual voices from the TV show for an extra touch of realism.

Summary:

While Dragon Ball Z: Budokai is a fun game, it does have some flaws. One of them is tournament mode. The computer is really, really cheap. If you play tournament mode, expect to get angry once and a while. Another thing is that most of the projectiles need to be used at close range. For example, to use Piccolo's Special Beam Cannon, you to kick your opponent in a certain way. You will kick them in the air and hit them to the ground. You then shoot it it at them. So if you are expecting something like you would find in Street Fighter, than this game is not for you. Another downside is you cannot jump, or duck, or even fly when you want to. The makes game play a lot more difficult. However, there are some very interesting things about Budokai that seperate it from the rest. Their is a unique character customization in which you can create the ultimate character. Basically, Dragon Ball Z: Budokai is a good game if you are a Dragon Ball fan. If you just want to buy a good fighting game, then look somewhere else. You won't find it in this game.

PROS:

+ Good game play.

+ Easy super moves.

+ Great graphics and sound.

+ Customization of allows your to create the ulimate character.

+ Burst mode

CONS:

The tournament mode tends to be a little cheap.

Almost all projectiles need to be used at close range. (ie. Special Beam Cannon, Kamehameha, etc.)

Good for Dragon Ball fans, bad for fighting game fans.

You cannot jump or duck.

You cannot fly whenever you want.

Honest reviews on Dragon Ball Z: Budokai

Ok,Lets get started. This game is pretty good for a DBZ game. If you just looking for a good fighter I suggest elsewhere.

There is basicly 7 modes Story, practice,WorldTourny,Duel mode,Hercule,Editer, and options. On story mode its pretty basic. Youre first time around you play as Sayiana and unlock a couple of characters. Youll fnd it dissoted if youre not fammiler with DBZ. Fans will know obviously though. You go there Android,Namek and Satyian in story mode.It goes through Raditz to cell. With small cinemas. Practice is as it suggests.World Tournement is to earn oney and buy capsules wich I will explain later. Its Adebt Novice and Adavanced. Advanced is basicly SUPER hard. When you beat adept and advance you can buy Hercule and Great Sayiaman.Duel is just a 2 player mode or you pick who you wanna fight.Hercule is a survivor mde as you play with Hercule through wonderfull matches. Editor is my favorite option alowwing you to cutomize a Zwarrior.

Graphics is so so not bad but not good. For PS2 it could have been better. Characters are good 3-d shaded. Sound has ok music and orginal AMERICANN voices.

Capsules is basiclly moves you get. Without capsules you cant do anything. But you can easily get them by beating story 3 times and get tons. If you wish with the Dragon Balls three characters geta special ability Breakthrough wich gives you more capsules. The biggest thing I disliked is. Youre grounded! No jumping not ducking. To fly you half to get hit!No powr struggles etc. On the good side you can knock people into wall, cliffs, moutaines etc. Fighting is too easy. p,p,p, g is basicly everyones Kamehameha realated move.

Bad

Graphics ar soo

Backrounds are bland

Character moves are exactly the same

Simple fighting

Good

DBZ

Fastpaced

Stages change with a strong punch.(Into a mountaine. Then fight on a mountaine)

Orginal Hyper battle

All in all If you dont like DBZ rent it. If youre a fan the score would go up a star. DBZ fails and succesfull in many ways.

This game is really cool. I liked it alot!" I got it a few months ago and I was impressed. It features some of the greatest moves from the show, such as: Special Beam Cannon, Kamehameha, Spirit Bomb, Galick Gun, etc. The gameplay is great and I like the fighting action as well. However, that's just the good stuff. What really pisses me off is that doing major combo moves like Burning Attack, Spirit Bomb, etc. is that it gets really frustrating when you try to do the move but it never shows until you do it the 10th time! Also, the story line stops at the end of the Cell games Saga!! Can you belive it? No Majin Buu, no Dabura, no S.S.2 or S.S.3 Goku and no Goten and Chibi Trunks!!'' However the game is pretty good overall, and it's much better than Final Bout for sure. Tournament mode is not bad either. But let me give you a tip; it's really important that you learn how to sidestep before you go and try to beat tournament. Trust me, the most difficult thing to beat in this game is tournament mode if you don't know how to sidestep because if you get near the edge of the tournament ring, you're opponent will have an 85 percent chance of knocking you out of the ring if you don't know how move away from the edge. there's types of tournaments in tournament mode: Novice, Adept, and Advanced. If you win Novice, you get 10,000 Zenie. If you win Adept, you get 30,000 Zenie along with Hercule. If you beat Advanced, you 50,000 Zenie along with Great Saiyaman. Now how can they have Great Saiyaman in this game but not have the Great Saiyaman Saga or Babidi Saga in Story Mode?" Anyway, the money earned from winning tournaments is really important since you need it to buy skills from Mr.Popo's Skill Shop. I've already gotten all the characters. There are 23 playable characters in total: Goku, Kid Gohan(Gohan from the Saiyan-Frieza Saga), Teen Gohan(Gohan from Cell Games Saga), Great Saiyaman, Vegeta, Future Trunks, Cell, Android #19, Android #18, Android #17, Android #16, Recoome, Ginyu, Frieza, Hercule, Krillin, Tien, Yamcha, Zarbon, Dodoria, Piccolo, Nappa, and Raditz. Overall, this game is awesome!! As a hardcore DBZ fan, I would give this game 3 stars since it didn't have the Buu Saga story line. But as a video gamer, I would give this game 4 and a half stars since the gameplay, and music is great. You should get this game regardless of it's ... storyline.

It is exactly what is says it is. It will charge your controller and best of all its quite inexpensive!

the problem is that the wire is quite Short (6 feet I believe).

If you are getting this charger for PC gaming and plan to use your WIRELESS XBOX controller BE AWARE! This WILL NOT send any information through the usb cable. Therefore, without a wireless xbox receiver for PC, it will not work.

It CAN charge your controller, but it cannot be used to for wired gaming on PC with a wireless controller.

I purchased this a month ago and held of reviewing just in case it broke right away as some of the other reviewers had happen. So far, it is works great. I am guessing with this item it is hit or miss. I am very happy with this purchase since it was way cheaper than the official ones. No complaints here.

Update (3/29/12): I bought these back in January and it is almost April, I have not had any problems yet, so I am very pleased with this purchase so far.

Update (12/7/12): It's been a whole year (minus one week) and I am still using this to connect my controllers. I have noticed that my rechargable batteriers (2 sets) have not been able to hold a charge any more. I am not sure if this is a result of the cable or if both of the batteries are bad now. I am to connect and play with not battery without any problem though.

The USB charging cable keeps my controller powered. I do hear a buzzing sound in my turtle beach headset when I have it plugged in. After reading numberous reviews that trashed this game, I tried it out anyways (though expecting little)!

True, the AI is kinda stupid, the graphics are certainly lackluster, and the story is truly arbitrary and forgettable.

Despite these flaws, Future Tactics is fun!

I am a fan of tactical games, and this is certainly an original spin on the genre. You control multiple characters on each map and your turn consists of moving and performing an action within the map. Often times you have the entire map to trod around in during each turn. You have a large circle of movement place around your character. Depending on how far you move, you can even move again after shooting 'er whatever. With most characters, your firing range is as far as you can see through the scope.

The enemy AI is very stupid, but they make up for it with their ability to communicate your position if just one of them sees you.

And the environment is COMPLETELY DESTROYABLE!! What fun! Nothing like blowing a truck off the road and down a cliff with a bazooka! If it's on the screen, chances are you can decimate it (or destroy it completely)!

The levels are often very drawn out and this game has received criticism for being tedious. I'm sure I am in the top %10 of people most likely to quit ANY game the moment it starts to become irritating, but this game never got under my skin. Sure you have to play levels multiple times before beating them, but you get to destroy the terrain every time! :)

Another little problem with this game is that during the story, a few characters will leave your party without any warning and take with them the power-ups you padded their arsenal with. Yes, it sucks (especially if you maxed out that specific "deserter" like I had) but even if you end up stuck with a bunch of under-powered wussies on the last few levels, you can still beat the game with a little enginuity and very little frustration.

Also, the 2-player mode has a bit of extra stuff you can unlock (and unlocking things is always fun) and is well fluffed up (even though I'll never take advantage of it).

The camera is fairly cooperative, too! Once you start using the first-person view to reset the camera behind your character, there really isn't a problem. What a blessing!!

The originality of this game is its true strength. Once you've tasted it and liked it, you're going to have to come back to it simply because there aren't any other games like it and you will crave it!

What a long review.

All in all, if this game sounds appealing to you, the price is right! It's obviously not a big budget project, but it's got the heart to make up for its shortcomings!

Fully Recommended!

O.K. I can say, with reasonable assurance, that not many people will read this review. I'm going to give it one because, personally, I think it's a pretty good game. The graphics, though not polished to a ridiculously high sheen with blood and various body parts flying around, serve the game very well. After playing, and enjoying it immensely, I realized that the makers of this game did an exceptional job on the game environment. The sparseness actually added to my enjoyment. I knew exactly where I was at all times. It's a tactical game, but doesn't require a ridiculous amount of planning, foresight, and knowledge of actual military strategy to enjoy. Almost everything is destructible, and you can use the debris you create for cover. This aspect of the game really comes in handy. In short, it's a tactical game that everyone can enjoy if they give it a chance. If you're the type of gamer who likes blood for blood's sake, and just enjoys running around with your lazer guided, supercharged, big as a house, nuclear warhead tipped assault weapon, or enjoys those craptastic thug games that revolve around being as big an a--hole as possible, by all means keep right on playing your little shoot-em-ups until your weapon is as big as the Hoover Dam. If you would like to play an immensely enjoyable game that, I think, is different from the rest, and stands on it's own very well, buy it. I know I really love playing it.

Best Deals for Future Tactics Uprising - PlayStation 2

It's very slow paced and unsophisticated. It is not recommended for anything more than for something to do if you need to waste a little time.

Honest reviews on Future Tactics Uprising - PlayStation 2

I was fun at first then it became stupid hard and time consuming at the middle/end.

I thought this game was lacking in a lot of ways and what it boasts for a fully modifiable environment was not necessary for gameplay.

You can blow suff up all u want but ur guys can die so quickly from the monsters that its more important to hide untill the end of the level. I mostly just wind up turning the level in to a giant crater.

It is basiacally an average tactical game with long, boring, and very difficult levels.

Reviews of Mass Effect Trilogy - Xbox 360

Mass Effect Trilogy - Xbox 360
Customer Ratings: 4.5 stars
Buy Now
I own all the Mass Effect games, and proudly bought them as they came out, and keep up to date on DLC. So why am I reviewing a set I have no reason to own? Because I know a rip off when I see one! And if the Mass Effect trilogy was going to have a boxset it needed to be DEFINITIVE!

NONE of the franchise's large collection of DLC is included in this pack.

Sure, DLC in the first Mass Effect isn't anything special, but for Mass Effect 2 there's bonus levels which directly bridge the gap between it and Mass Effect 3!

When games like Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion released new editions they included all the DLC expansion packs on bonus discs (if you played on Xbox360). At this point I expect that when a big RPG like this are re-released they will include all the DLC as a bonus.

Here's the real kicker. Say you just want the basic Mass Effect experience without the DLC. This set still won't meet your needs because you can buy all three of these games individually for less than $60. Heck, get the Platinum Edition of the first game and you'll at least get one of the DLC missions!

So this set fails on two counts:

1) If you're a new gamer wanting to tackle the Mass Effect trilogy for the first time your wallet would be better off buying the games individually.

2) If you're someone who wanted the definitive Mass Effect experience this set fails to include anything worth warranting a double dip.

So either buy the games individually, hold off until this set is in the $40 range, or wait for BioWare to release the inevitable "Definitive/Collector's/whatever" special edition with all the DLC included.

Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>

What DLC is included in the Mass Effect Trilogy?

"On Xbox 360, Bring Down the Sky and Pinnacle Station are not included with Mass Effect, however they are available as stand-alone downloads through Xbox LIVE. For Mass Effect 2, Cerberus Network will be included and Online Pass will be included for Mass Effect 3."

That basically says it all. Forget about the DLC being on-disk, they don't even give you download codes. The current MSRP ($60) is already more than the cost of the sum of the 3 games separately (shop around). On top of that, to get all of the DLC, you'd need to pay an additional $65 through XBOX Live:

Bringing Down the Sky 400

Pinnacle Station 400

Shadow Broker 800

Kasumi 560

Arrival 560

Genesis 320

Overlord 560

Leviathan 800

From Ashes 800

Total 5200 points = $65

This 'Trilogy' isn't a definitive collection in any sense of the word. This compilation is a blatant, lazy money grab. Insulting. Anti-consumer. If they're this desperate to exploit their audience, they could at least put everything on-disk and charge $120. At least then I'd respect them for being upfront about it and I'd be able to have everything in one neat package.

I'll close by saying that this is all doubly infuriating because EA and Bioware have done this right in the past! Dragon Age Origins: Ultimate Edition, for example, was everything a Dragon Age fan could've hoped for in one beautiful package!

Note: This review is specifically for the 360 Trilogy SKU and is not meant to be a review of the individual games therein. I'm reviewing the package.

Best Deals for Mass Effect Trilogy - Xbox 360

One of the best games ever produced at one of the worst prices ever. You can pick up Mass Effect 1 and 2 for less than 10 bucks used, and mass effect 3 for 15. This comes with nothing extra and the DLC content isn't even included which is a complete joke. Don't fall for this and let EA choke on their own greed.

Was at a game stop last night and looked up the prices of the games.

Mass Effect 1, $7

Mass Effect 2 $8

New Mass Effect 3 $14

Do the math and weep if you bought this.

This doesn't include the promotion buy two get one free.

Honest reviews on Mass Effect Trilogy - Xbox 360

This game comes with no DLC, for the full trilogy, youll have to spend another 65$ on xbox live marketplace. Game dosent even come with extended "real" ending, you have to download that for free. Not exactly sure why they made this package, but its pretty lame.

Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Mass Effect Trilogy - Xbox 360

Now, I had heard a few things about the Mass Effect series, mainly the controversy surrounding the ending, so when I saw the trilogy for around $30, I decided to pick it up.

For the first game, the combat gameplay is a bit simplistic. The weapons use a heating system as opposed to ammo. At first, I preferred this type of gameplay, but in the later two games, the ammo generally feels better than having an unlimited supply of firepower. The cover system is a bit rough, because it's hard to get in and out of cover smoothly, not to mention you have to crouch to get into low cover. Where the combat gets most advanced is in the mods and customizations. You get heaps of stuff you can give to yourself or your squad mates, and you can get sick of it after a while. One more feature in (and out of) combat is the leveling system. You can level up your skills in different weapons like your pistol or sniper, along with combat powers such as shield boost. You are also able to level up passive health and melee damage upgrades. One final ability you can level up is speech choice. This is probably what you should focus on, as the dialogue is where the game shines. You have two types of special speech options. These usually help you out more than the normal dialogue choices. They are split into the more friendly, nice options (charm/paragon), and the more tough, angry options (intimidate/renegade). You can't really try to go in the middle with a mix of both, as this just leaves you weak in both options. Mass Effect presents you with a lot of choices you can make throughout the game. At times, certain squad members can live or die based on your actions, and many other choices involving other characters you meet exist as well. Many of these choices carry on to the next two games, adding a feeling of your playthrough being unique. In conversations with characters, you are presented with several things you can say to characters, which really makes your experience with the game your own, and shaping Shepard into the character you want. The characters in the game feel like real people, and you will come to treat them as your friends. If they ever die, you feel genuine loss, especially since they may or may not have made an effect on the future years later in the story. By the third game, anybody in your squad in the first game could be dead. You can also pursue romantic relationships with characters of the opposite gender, if you want to. Regardless of the choices you make, the story of all three games is fascinating and enjoyable throughout the 100+ hour experience. One thing that greatly adds to this experience is the brilliant and well-developed information that you find about the galaxy and it's history. All of the information you learn goes into your codex, and all of the technology and species contribute to the world in so many different ways. In the second and third games, the item system is streamlined to where you don't have tons of mods and ammo types. The sound and feel of weapons feels more crisp than the first game, and the cover is more flowing. You and your squad mates have special combat abilities that can slow down time, make an enemy go flying, or destroy a shield. The later games keep all of the things that make the dialogue of Mass Effect great. You feel like your experience is truly unique. One great addition to the second game is that every squad member has a loyalty mission, which goes deeper into the characters lives where you help them with a personal problem. Squad members that are loyal to you also are more likely to survive into the third game. The one big problem about this game is the ending. At the end, nothing you did throughout the rest of the three games matters, and you get three choices (that don't effect the ending much anyways). I recommend downloading the extended cut DLC, which majorly improves the ending, and covers more things that happened in depth, which also includes more dialogue and an extra scene with your partner if you chose to romance anybody.

There are so many great things in this trilogy that I didn't cover, and these are definitely my favorite games of all time. You need to buy this trilogy, and you also need to import your characters from game to game for the optimal experience. (Also, you should use the default Shepard, the facial customization doesn't match the voice, and is really a pointless feature)
