XBOX 360 Slim AC Adapter Power Supply (100V - 240V) Review
I have wait all this time to make an accurate review, it is been 3 months so far and it is working great, I hope it last at least a yearWorked fine for the first few weeks. Didn't get a lot of play...then boom. Stops working and needs to be replaced. Maybe you should buy them in pairs.

Aliens vs. Predator: Extinction Reviews
This game has an incredible foundation in place to build an even better game on. If it had spent another few months in the tank getting tweaks and having some more depth added to it, it could have been stunning.
The game that this mostly resembles is not Warcraft, but the seminal Command & Conquer series, though with these graphics, AI, unit choices and relative game play, only the earlier incarnations. I would have liked more unit types, higher caps, larger maps, a skirmish mode (campaign only? What's that?!) and maybe a tweak or two on the controls. The push-the-stick-and-circle-to-select-troops was suspect at best, and C&C already has a perfect way to do it: just make a square and capture the units you want to use, no guesswork. Even the original PS version can do that.
All in all, a good idea and not a wholly bad game, but I hope they take some cues from a franchise that does it right and come back to this. They're really on the verge of making a wholly good game here, just not with these flaws. Give us a "Part 2" to this and make these slight changes and you're gold.

In my opinion this is a very good stratagy game but with one flaw. I always play as an alien. What i dont get is if there are som many other enemy units in the game why you can not have more then 45 units. When you have 45 units the queen stops laying eggs. I mean what is with that, does the queen have some limit. i thought she wanted the hive to grow. how can that happen if you only have forty five aliens. i always end up with fifty or sixty hosts left over just sitting there fot the k-series aliens to steal. I bought this game expecting it to be so-so based on the amazon reviews, but found the game to be an outstanding treasure among PS2 games. This is one of the best computer/PS2 games I've ever played. Of course like all games it has its faults, like a lack of skirmish and online play. But overall fun game that will keep you entertained for hours. This game is very flawed, but is tons of fun if you can be patient with the AI. There are plenty of different types of soldiers, and the three races are very diverse. 21 Missions total will probably be around a week, unless you play all day. Later missions usually take about an hour. Buy it at a local store, like GameStop or EB, beat it within the 7 days, return it. Voila!

We own both Xbox 360 Scene it? games. I have been a fan of the previous edition, and was excited to see a new version available with new puzzles. The thing I like about this series of games for the 360 is that the game flows well, compared to the traditional DVD-based game, and the scoring is a lot of fun. You can see where you or your team stands against your opponents in real time. The bonus scoring is fun as well. This edition (Scene it? Box Office Smash) adds an interesting element of in-game avatars that represent each player/team on screen. If you have an avatar set up on your Live account, that is who you see representing yourself in-game. The new challenges and game types are fun and are a nice addition to the previous version of the game. If you don't have the special Scene it? controllers, I would highly recommend purchasing the package deal that includes the controllers. Especially if you plan to play with "newbies".

Review of Xbox 360 NFL Miami Dolphins Controller
Firstly, it's the freakin Miami Dolphins XBOX 360 controller.
Secondly, it's corded, and the cord is about 7-9 feet long, perfect for a dorm room college student who doesn't like to waste his money on batteries.
Thirdly, the sticks and triggers are made of a hard, more rugged feeling, plastic than the original 360 controller's. This takes about ten minutes of game time to get used to; however, after wards it has a better feel to it than the original.
Fourth, this is a little smaller than the original controller, and it has grips along the side to keep sweaty hands from dropping it in those intense plays that require a firm grip on the ba--controller.
Fifthly, the only way it could be better is if Dan Marino would sign mine.
"The slightly smaller size also gives you a slight advantage in that you can get to the buttons just a little bit faster," so my friends say, but they just have slower fingers than I do.I am very satisfied with how fast I recieved my purchase. I also am please with the condition it was in. The controller is a lot of fun.

Best XCM Cross Battle adapter plus RUMBLE Deals
I just picked up the XCM Cross Battle adapter PLUS and it works flawlessly with my Sony PS3 Slim. Just connect it to your PS3, connect a *wired* Xbox 360 controller and you're in business. No delays or hesitation, it's very responsive. In fact, while playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (MW2) I'd sometimes forget I was playing on a PS3 as it felt like the same playing experience as the Xbox.
Three important things to know. First, you cannot use a wireless controller with a charge cable to connect. The charge cable simply charges the wireless controller, it doesn't establish a connection between the wireless controller and the XCM. In short, you need a WIRED controller. Second, you cannot use an XBox headset that connects to your Xbox controller the XCM doesn't handle that (not that I expected it to.) Third, if you find that you lose your connection frequently, turn OFF the Controller Auto-Off power saving option on your PS3. It's in the XMB (Cross Media Bar) under Settings > Power Save Settings > Controller Auto-Off.
This product is easy to use. Turn on your PS3, plug this device into the PS3, plug a wired 360 controller into the device and you're ready to go. It's that simple. If you love the 360 design, this is a wonderful thing.
There are a few drawbacks, however.
One is that you actually need the wired 360 controller.
Another is that while in use the green LEDs (that signal what player you are) all flash while in use.
Also, there is no motion sensing for any game that may require it (I recommend the Nyko Zero to solve this).
Next, this adapter will not work with PS2 games played on the PS3 (if you have a BC model of PS3).
Finally, this item would have really benefited from a way to assign controller functions. As is, you are still forced to use the bumpers for firing in some games such as first person shooters. I see this as a design flaw in the dualshock 3 design where even devlopers have tried to accomodate for the less-than-adequate, and slippage-prone L2/R2 "trigger." Unfortunately, the Cross Battle adapter cannot compensate for this unless the options are available in-game.
The product I received differed from the one shown in the picture. It is not labeled as "plus" and the plastic used on it is transparent. However, it is functionally the same as the "plus" version (transmits rumble).

3. The Xbox Guide button serves as the PS Home button, and the lights on it still indicate which player you are.

6. Most shooter games on the PS3 have firing your weapon set to R1, which translates to RB on the 360 controller. It is best to make sure that there is an in-game option to switch weapon firing to R2, which translates to RT on the 360 controller (This option is included for Modern Warfare 2).
7. Obviously, motion sensing controls don't work.
After playing MW2 on my 360, and then playing MW2 on the PS3 with this adapter I didn't notice any sort of controller lag.
Overall, this is a great product that is quick and easy to use and provides all the functionality I expected with no lag at a good price. The only thing I cannot rate is durability, as I have only had mine for 4 months.
So, long story short the product works in that you can get your 360 controller/joystick to work on the PS3, but it is far from lag free input. Maybe it works well with shooting games but for a fighting game like SSFIV it is absolutely worthless. It makes a $125 joystick feel like you are using a $39 joystick.

I just ordered my second XCM, this thing is amazing. I'm beginning to believe there is no response lag; I can say this because I use it for Wipeout HD and Tetris my scores are the same as if I were using my Sixaxis.

I have the Street Fighter 4 TE and a HORI-RAP 3 arcade sticks and tried them both with the XCM Cross Battle adapter. I was able to get the joysticks to work right from the start and I was thrilled that I might be able to play SSFIV with some friends of mine that had a PS3. I went to training mode and started trying some combos. I was able to pull off basic moves just fine, but when I tried to link stuff together which required some faster joystick inputs (QCF or QCB in particular) the buttons wouldn't quite work. I opened up the input options in training mode to see what exactly was being inputted when I tried to do a fireball: I did a d,df,f+P on the joystick and it ended up inputting d,d,f,f+P. I tried it multiple times and anytime I tried to quickly pull off a fireball it wouldn't input the d/f. A simple combo like mk,fireball would almost never come out.So, long story short the product works in that you can get your 360 controller/joystick to work on the PS3, but it is far from lag free input. Maybe it works well with shooting games but for a fighting game like SSFIV it is absolutely worthless. It makes a $125 joystick feel like you are using a $39 joystick.

I ordered this specifically for my Razer Onza Standard Edition (I had ordered the SE and got it over a month before my TE finally shipped, when my TE arrived my SE was set aside to collect dust... until now). I can confirm that it works with both Onza's without problem. Even the two programmable shoulder buttons work. I've tried MW2 and BOPS, response lag is minimal, in fact I only noticed it when attempting to "Drop-Shot". The only two other games I've tried were Megaman 9 (works great) and a PS2 game (just to confirm it does not work with PS2 games, it doesn't!).***UPDATE*** July 5, 2011

Skylanders Giants Jade Flashwing Review
It functions as it's suppose to but it's a very unique colour design. It was a Father's Day gift for my husband and my 7 yr old son keeps trying to swap, trade, earn it from my husband by doing chores as he wants it so badly for his collection of Skylanders!
The people behind Skylanders sure have come up with an interesting variety of dragons, and Flashwing is a great addition to the mix! An Earth Skylander, her body is composed of gems and crystals, and her attacks incorporate not only that, but the ability to reflect and use light. "Condensed light" even eventually increases her armor. I was worried, being a gem dragon that she'd be all girlied up, but I was luckily mistaken!
Speed: Slow
Flashwing moves at a steady but slow gallop. She's a handy Skylander though, so don't be put off by that. A well chosen hat will fix that problem.
Primary Attack:
As can be expected from a gem dragon, Flashwing's primary attack is firing crystal shards from her tail. It starts out slow, but is sped up considerably after being upgraded. Holding in the primary attack button for a few seconds (after being upgraded of course) allows her to fire a laser beam from her wing tips. If you choose the Super Shards upgrade path, the crystals can embed in walls and shoot off more Crystals, as well as heal Flashwing if she stands close to them.
Secondary Attack:
This one, the Shimmering Spin, I actually find myself using more than the primary. Flashwing gets up on the tips of her toes and spins quickly, crashing through everything in her path. This, like the crystals, needs to be upgraded to be the most effective, but it still very much gets the job done, especially when you get surrounded by enemies or use her in the Battle Arena. If you chose the Super Spinner upgrade path, the Shimmering Spin will gain the ability to last longer, deflect enemies shots, and shoot out lasers if attack one is pressed.
Tertiary Attack:
In Flashwing's basic upgrades, she can also fire crystal shards in all directions except, unfortunately, forward. While it is effective if surrounded by Chompies, I personally don't find it all that helpful in the harder levels. When you are surrounded by Mace Majors or something of the sort, it just doesn't deal enough damage or fire fast enough to take them out efficiently. I also tend to single out my enemies, so while this may be a good attack for somebody else, it doesn't do much good for me.
Soul Gem Ability:
This is definitely one of the best Soul Gem powers, counting the ones from the original game! Crystal Lighthouse causes a large crystal to spring up from the ground and create spinning beams of light that deal constant damage to enemies so long as the attack button is held in. This does unfortunately leave Flashwing vulnerable to the tougher enemies, but it can start hurting them from a distance so that by the time they get close enough to do any real damage, they're just about dead.
Overall:
To me, she definitely gets a 9/10. She's definitely a good addition to anyone's collection of Skylanders.

Defender Reviews
Defender is a fun game. I like the multiple ships and the fact that you can upgrade the weapons on each one. Once you beat the game though it offers little replay value, but its a fun ride.
I am about 1/3 of the way through the missions, they get progressively tougher. When you fail a mission you can start it over. Some of objectives in the missions seem impossible at first, but when you have the right ship, the right weapons and the right strategy "its like butter, baby"!
I give it 3 stars mainly because the game navigation is horrible, there is absolutely no replay value and the multiplayer is completely worthless, unless you enjoy getting sick from flying around in circles. The multiple ship and buying of weapons is also pretty useless. I pretty much stuck to one ship. I found it much easier to complete missions when I stuck to only 2-3 weapons, its a pain scrolling through multiple weapons while in combat. IDifferent buttons would have been a better idea. I just kept buying more ship lives with my money.
Pros are that the graphics are pretty good, some of the missions are fun and challenging, and the "flight simulation" is pretty good too.
This game is one of those that you should rent and beat within five days. Luckily I bought it used for $15.00 on Amazon. I will probably not resell it as I never sell anything.
As you'd expect, the graphics are fantastic. The gameplay is generally top-notch. The different ships and weapons give a lot of options and different feels. Make sure you save multiple copies of games in progress so that you can try them out.
The major pain with this game is on the logistical end, it seems that it wants to make you suffer. Starting, loading, changing things on the fly is slow and VERY tedious. You can't trade in weapons you don't like, so if you run out of credits tough luck start over (or reload one of your saved games!). Some of the voiceover game characters are obnoxious; especially when they lag the action. You will hate your CO and that lame nazi mad scientist.
It has three levels of difficulty which is really nice. The "rookie" level is a good start; its moderately challenging more so in figuring out what you have to do than in gonzo firing. This makes it a reasonable choice for the more casual player. Although it has its problems, and the classic version is NOT included (bummer), I'd say its a must have for those of us that get into spaceship shooter type games.

I needed a break from Hitman 2 and Splinter Cell (already played Halo), so I picked up Defender for some mindless shooting. It is actually not so mindless, and is kind of addictive. The Defender game for Atari was such a great ground breaking game, this version of defender is a disappointment. The only thing that would have saved this games was to of had the original Defender unlockable, like the Frogger, Spy Hunter and Pac Man XBOX games.I give it 3 stars mainly because the game navigation is horrible, there is absolutely no replay value and the multiplayer is completely worthless, unless you enjoy getting sick from flying around in circles. The multiple ship and buying of weapons is also pretty useless. I pretty much stuck to one ship. I found it much easier to complete missions when I stuck to only 2-3 weapons, its a pain scrolling through multiple weapons while in combat. IDifferent buttons would have been a better idea. I just kept buying more ship lives with my money.
Pros are that the graphics are pretty good, some of the missions are fun and challenging, and the "flight simulation" is pretty good too.
This game is one of those that you should rent and beat within five days. Luckily I bought it used for $15.00 on Amazon. I will probably not resell it as I never sell anything.

This PS2 version is fairly true to the original; it maintains a lot of the style and substance of the arcade classic as far as enemies, crazy mutants, saving colonists, and the sheer relentless feel of the original. It has the added dimension of strategy, as you have to deploy and manage auxillary units to complete missions, you won't succeed by just being a firing maniac.As you'd expect, the graphics are fantastic. The gameplay is generally top-notch. The different ships and weapons give a lot of options and different feels. Make sure you save multiple copies of games in progress so that you can try them out.
The major pain with this game is on the logistical end, it seems that it wants to make you suffer. Starting, loading, changing things on the fly is slow and VERY tedious. You can't trade in weapons you don't like, so if you run out of credits tough luck start over (or reload one of your saved games!). Some of the voiceover game characters are obnoxious; especially when they lag the action. You will hate your CO and that lame nazi mad scientist.
It has three levels of difficulty which is really nice. The "rookie" level is a good start; its moderately challenging more so in figuring out what you have to do than in gonzo firing. This makes it a reasonable choice for the more casual player. Although it has its problems, and the classic version is NOT included (bummer), I'd say its a must have for those of us that get into spaceship shooter type games.

I am so disappointed that they copped out with this game and put in the show shortened versions of the songs for this release. With the previous release, they used full length songs, used show footage where possible, and filled in the rest with other clips. With this release, it was just the footage of the short song for the show only. How maddening! My two favorites to sing, Bad Romance and Total Eclipse of the Heart, were the biggest victims of this laziness. I think if there are any future releases of this game with more songs, I will wait to purchase it to see if they did full length or cheaped out. I will not buy the shortened songs again!

I was intially really excited about getting this game because I loved the music from the second half of season 1 of Glee. I thought that Amazon would have been more correct about the song count that was actually included in the game. There is only 20 songs not 30 as stated in the product description. I probably would have reconsidered knowing that I was paying $40 for only that many songs. However, I did order the game on Sunday and for .99 cents more I got the game on Tuesday. This was one of the only places that offered the "software only" as I have numerous microphones from many other singing games. The song titles are as follows:Bad Romance, Beautiful, Beth, Boy is Mine, Dream A Little Dream of Me, Dream On, Gives You Hell, Good Vibrations, Hello, I Love You, House is Not A Home, Ice Ice Baby, Jessie's Girl, Lady Is A Tramp, Like A Virgin, Over The Rainbow, Pink Houses, Shout It Out Loud, To Sir With Love, Total Eclipse Of The Heart and U Can't Touch This.

All in all the game is great but seems kind of short with only 20 songs.

I received this today with very high expectations for the game. After playing the first, I was anxious to see what they had in-store for Volume 2. Upon opening the packaging and seeing the song selection, I was honestly slightly disappointed. There were a couple of givens I thought would be on the game (Faithfully and Hello) but both were passed up; I'm assuming this has something to do with the record companies releasing the rights for the song on the game, or perhaps they would have been too difficult to sing? That part remains uncertain. HOWEVER, I maintained a sense of optimism and played it anyway. For two hours straight. One slightly worn-out voice and remote battery later, I was thoroughly satisfied. This one is more challenging. They don't make the pitch quite as easy to hit as last time, and the words move faster, so be prepared. They also cut down some of the songs; Total Eclipse of the Heart was shortened, and that's really my only complaint. The song can't stand on its own shortened. Some positive notes: more options, game modes, the interface is more fun and creative, and there's a wider selection of songs for men. Coming from a 14 year old's perspective, and a total Gleek and Rachel fan :) , I really enjoy the game. The song selection on the Karaoke Revolution Glee: Vol. 1 was better (mostly because I wanted all of Rachel's songs. But there are more songs on the game overall) but Vol. 2 was good as well. Know when buying that you can't turn of the vocals of those singing, so you are forced to sing with them. You are allowed to change the mic input though (how much you can hear yourself from the TV) which is nice. Overall, if you are deciding on either Vol. 1 or 2 because you don't want both, get Vol. 1 (better songs... etc.) Can't wait for Vol . 3! My 10yo daughter had the first Glee karaoke and was excited to get the second in her Easter basket. My bad for not checking the rating of Teen, not Everyone like the first one~eeks!! There are a couple of songs/videos that are not suitable for younger children. Not sure why they felt they had to go this route but buyer beware. If you play in Marathon Mix mode, you can removed anything you might find objectionable from the mix.Other than that~we've enjoyed the game. The song length seems good, even on the shortened songs. Marathon mix is fun. The scrapbook feature is OK. Nice variety to the song list. The instructions give you no help on how to "unlock" Ice Baby & Pink Houses so not sure if we'll ever do those but if you like the music of Glee & karaoke, you'll likely like this game.

This game, like all Karaoke Revolution games, suffers the same fatal flaw. They never seem to have a big enough song list. Songs that no one sings are found on each volume while some really hit glee songs have been left off of all three volumes.I don't have Xbox Live so I can't say anything about the downloadable content, but if you dont love the majority of the songs on the list, I would pass on this game.

Bought as a gift for my daughter who loves to sing. I chose this one because it had songs that she would probably know and it came with a microphone. The mic is usb though, and some of the game functions won't work with the wired mic. I got this set for only $17. When these came out by themselves not even in a set they were at least $40!!! I love COD games, and yes these are old but this is what started it all. In the first one, which is very hard, there are many great levels and online. The seconed one also has online but the levels are varied. The graphics took a HUGE step between each other. I am amazed of how many people still play online on both of these games for how old they are. Out of the first three, my favorite one with online would be COD2. This product is a GREAT price for two AWESOME HIT GAMES that started it all. If you want both COD 1 and 2, it would be much cheaper to buy this set. This is a great buy for the first time Call of Duty players. My son asked me to get the Call of Duty Modern Warfare for DS for Xmas, so I did. This was more of an addition to the gifts, but he liked this PS2 versions much better maybe because the DS was too small to play this type of games. The first disc in the set blacksout during the second Russian mission if you do't complete it. As I'm not a very good player this happens to me a lot.I loke what I have seen and will keep trying but this not recycyling back to the level is very frustrating.
I like these products had have had and not to continue to have a lot of fun with them.

I bought pre-ordered this headset from Razer's website a few days before they were released. I eagerly popped the awesome packaging open (watch Razer's unboxing video on YouTube if you haven't already) and threw them on.
The Megalodon's are by far the most comfortable computer headphones I've worn. The headband padding is cushy and keeps the headset from feeling too heavy on your noggin. The earcups, which go around your ears, are very soft and padded well. If anyone owned the Barracudas, some people (myself included) had issues where their ears would actually rest directly on the speakers and get sore after a while. Not with these babies! The padding is excellent and the earcups are very deep.
The mic is permanently attached and can rotate 270 degrees. The control pod is easy to use and let's you adjust the volume of each individual speaker channel and the bass separately. You can also of course switch between 2.1 and 7.1 modes with the press of a button.
The only issue though is to check and make sure that your movies and games can output 7.1 surround sound. If not, some sounds will be a little distorted and muffled. In these cases you are supposed to use 2.1 mode. Check your compatibility to see if what you watch/play is compatible now, but also keep in mind that future games and blu-ray releases should support 7.1.
One example of a standout game was Fallout 3. AMAZING. I could hear the wind blowing, characters talking, and could pinpoint exactly where bullets were being fired from. It truly rivaled my own conventional 5.1 setup. I'm going to have a hard time going back to stereo headsets!

Short VersionThey are worth they money, they are very comfy to wear, the sound quality and bass are great and the Microphone works properly. People don't take the time read manuals and troubleshoot when they go wrong and assume its the products fault. PC parts do not always jive well with each other without a little fussing. If you wanted simple and easy go buy a console.
Long Version
Ok I hope people see this review before they read all the posts about how bad these headphones are and how they are not worth the money. Because they are wroth the money.
First off to everyone who complains about the microphone quality. You need to realize that this headset has a built in sound card via the USB cord. There are controls and settings on the panel you need to set up. You need to both fiddle with your control panel microphone settings on your PC and the headphone controls on the actually control panel via the cord. There are both microphone output settings and noise cancellation levels for the microphone on the device itself. So when you're trying to set up these headphones you need to make sure you test and tweak theses settings. By default they are up to high and you also must make sure your using a high quality encoding with whatever voice chat system your using. Some built in game voice chat uses really low quality codec's so no matter how good your microphone is its going to sound like crap. This is not the fault of the headset. This is also the case with Ventrilo, the few posts I saw regarding that. If you sound like crap check the sound settings next time. I have done very extensive testing and everyone says I sound better than ever now on my voice servers.
Second to those who are reporting actual sound issues. This is mainly due to the fact your usb ports are either not providing enough power to the headset or you just got a bad product. It happens to the best of us. Chin up, contact razor and or Newegg and return for another product. Don't pass judgment on something for a one time flop. Now if your second pair is just as bad of an experience by all means judge away. In the end make sure you contact razor and troubleshoot before returning anything, as I said earlier PC parts don't always mix well without a little love from the user.
Third and finally my own issue and a few others here and on the Amazon reviews regarding this product complain that the headset doesn't turn off when you turn your computer off. (The lights stay on basically) This is a motherboard issue and is different for each person. Its really just depends on how your motherboard handles its power settings. For me this was really annoying because my computer sits near my bed, so trying to sleep every night with a bright glowing blue LED headset next to me was rather hard. Contacting razor I explained the issue and after a few e-mails back and forth. (They could be a bit faster on there replies so I won't rate there CS as the best really but they pointed me to the right solution) For anyone having a problem with the power first make sure your USB legacy option is turned on and your BIOS is up to date for anything related to the motherboard. IF this doesn't fix it you need to look under the EuP power mode setting and make sure its enabled, this was under the APM menu in my BIOS. This will allow your computer to turn off certain USB devices when the computer is set to off. I could get more technical but just mentioning the BIOS update might be to much for some people.
Last but not least for those who complain about the echo effect? First unless your game or music is 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound enabled and has the proper codec to play it it's not going to EVER sound right. This is why you have a 2.0 setting on the headset. Always to make sure you have the correct sound settings and set the headphones accordingly. Let me assure you if you take the time to make sure your game or your music or movie is outputting the right sound you will never be disappointed with the quality of these headphones.

I'd been reading reviews about this headset for a long time, and after going through a very long stream of Logitech USB headsets, I finally decided to pony up for "the best".The audio quality is excellent. The 7.1 virtual surround sound is surreal, and the sound is better than a lot of moderately expensive true 7.1 speaker systems.
The headphones themselves are extremely soft and comfortable, encompassing my whole ear, instead of winding up hitting the edge of my ears (irritating because I wear piercing studs). The weight is negligible, but the workmanship seems solid. Another thing I noticed is how the wiring is cloth braid covered, so that it seems less likely to curl up around itself, making you have to unwind it every so often.
The problem came up when I tried to talk to my fiancee across town with Ventrilo. The quality he was getting from my microphone was so poor that it hurt his ears. It was full of static, and I was barely comprehensible. Ventrilo worked fine a few minutes earlier with my old headset. I tried playing with the mic sensitivity settings and levels, changing vent settings, windows settings, all to no avail. I do have Win7 64 bit, but I immediately did the firmware update that was recommended to fix microphone issues. Still did not help. We also tried TeamSpeak, Skype, and MSN Messenger voice chat to make sure it wasn't something with the Vent server. His voice came through as though he was right next to me, but no matter what we did on my end, I sounded horrible to him, and others.
The only other problem I have with this product, which I can work around, is that the cord from the USB adapter to the control box is longer than the cord from the control box to the headset itself, which means I have to have the control box sitting in my lap most of the time. I think it would be better if they reversed that, so that I could set the control box on the desk, or on top of the computer, and have the longer cord going to me.
I have sent in an exchange order with Amazon, and I'm hoping that this was just a one off defective item. If it weren't for the problem with the microphone and the tiny inconvenience of the control box (which I'm willing to deal with), this is the best headset I've ever had.

My experience with the Megalodon is a pleasant one and I would recommend to all who want the upper hand in gaming. I got this beautiful headset after about 5 days using 5-8 day shipping so Im extremely happy with that. Now let me get started on my actual review.Sound Quality Upon first listen it just sounded extremely hollow in 7.1 on things that actually were 7.1 but in 2.1 things sounded not as loud as they should have been. Now this may seem to you a giant problem at first but after I had updated the driver from Razer's website and listening to music (Preferably Skrillex =D) for about 3 hours seeing if they needed to be "burned" in a little bit I came to a conclusion that it was either a case of getting used to the headset or if the headset actually needed to be burned in a little bit with some straining stuff on the headset. You can be the judge, because all I know is this headset is amazing. Listening to music is the first thing I did when I got the headset and after that short period of confusion I was listening to music like never before.
Bass Now for all of you bass lovers like me out there at first you are going to step back and think well...This doesnt really give that giant thump others do...I can explain why after I figured it out myself. I had started up a couple of games like Crysis, CoD4, And Half Life and I soon realized that the reason that the bass doesnt shake the headsets off your head is to preserve sound quality and sense of direction. When a grenade explodes next to you and theres a guy creeping up on you, I think you would prefer hearing him and getting a nice turn-on instead of just having the bass tickle your ears. But as for my final take on it, I LOVE bass...Like love doesnt really express it haha but after getting used to it you can listen to dubstep and even guitars and many other genres like never before while still being satisfied on the bass side of the headset.
Maelstrom Engine This headset uses a dedicated sound card inside of the control unit that comes with this headset. Upon first touch of it I already feel like Ive had this for a couple of weeks that how easy it was to use. The best parts about the control unit is the amount of preference that is available for your disposal such as how while in 7.1 mode you can actually change the volume of the different speakers so If say you want to know when people are coming behind you more than the front you simply turn down the front and right and left speakers so that the middle and rear speakers stand out more than the front.
The Microphone The mic is extremely sensitive...Actually too sensitive, but this really isnt a problem if you can get over small problems...All you need to simply do is update the driver software from razers site and your are good to go. But if you really want crisp sounding voice you need to use the control unit by lowering your mic sensitivity and level. Not hard at all, and the whole process only took literally 5 minutes.
Having The Upper Edge Razer made this headset so that if someones trying to be a wise guy and tea bagging you from behind while everybody is loling all you do is hear his foot step turn around and slap him across the face basically haha. And it does this extremely well might I add...
The only and when I say only thing wrong with this headset that I can find so far is that at first you are going to need to do a couple of things before you experience the true beast that this headset really is. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a pair of headsets that compare to Senhheiser (Spelling may be wrong 3= haha) Steel Series and even Audio Technica's...

First off this thing is amazing. Just the packaging it comes in is coo. As soon as I opened it I had my laptop on plugged it in and put it on. It worked without having to configure anything. So easy to use, the best sound quality ever, insane comfort, everything about this headset is almost to good to be true. Although my favorite thing about it is the braided wire. The wire does not get all messed up like a tradition wire and you dont get that anoying problem where you have to be constantly finding that sweet spot in the wire to make the sound work (some people should know what i am talking about). This is definently worth it.Was using windows 7 and works like a charm.

Let me establish this right off I'm not a Star Wars fanboy. That said, I do like this game, but I'm willing to accept its flaws.
The game follows the movies over two campaigns, showing battles from episodes I, II, IV, V, and VI (Episode III wasn't released at the time), as well as a few battles that were cut from the movies but not the Star Wars mythos (I had to look that up). However, if you want to actually WIN these battles and progress in the campaign instead of just playing the missions as they went in the movies, you'll have to skip a lot of the stuff like taking out AT-ATs on Hoth. Also, the Jedi are major game-breakers, between being able to reflect ANY weapon (including missiles) and only being vulnerable to being knocked off platforms or having vehicles landed on them. The graphics are smooth, but the ragdoll physics are turned up more than a bit when a grenade goes off near you and you roll for half a mile before your body lands and you get the opportunity to respawn.
It's worth the buy, but you have to be willing to accept some flaws in the gameplay.
