On a scale of 1-10, I'd give NBA Live 14 a 7. This game is not nearly as bad as everyone is making it out to be. There is room for improvement, but I think the core game is a good one.

The first thing a sports simulation needs to get right, in my opinion, is making you feel like you're part of the league. I don't mean there needs to be a good rising star mode where you put yourself in the game; I've never like those modes. What I'm talking about is your team fitting in statistically with the rest of the players and teams. If a game can't do that, then it's failing at a basic level. NBA Live 14 is perfect in this regard. After 10 games, my Cavaliers are a middling team that doesn't really stand out in any area... at the same time, I'm not a bottom dweller in any statistical category either. The one category that I was falling behind in, assists, is something I've been able to correct as I've learned the nuances of the gameplay.

On the subject of gameplay, this is a very competent simulation of basketball. Is it perfect? No, but the harsh criticism it is receiving is undeserved. The defenders and offensive players do not simply stand around. Players who move off the ball in real life move off the ball in this game. Defenders react to your movements and have their own strategies for keeping you away from the hoop. Strategies I've tried with success include driving to the hoop and then kicking out to a shooter who has intelligently moved into a spot up position, pick and rolls used to gain extra assists and using picks to get my own shots. I've been getting the fundamentals down and haven't really gone into preset plays other than to see that they do not have overlays over the court.

Some criticism that has been aimed at this game include saying your shots get blocked too frequently, the shooting is difficult, the free throw shooting is difficult. The only time I've been blocked, literally, is when I'm trying to force a shot. Otherwise, I have used pump fakes, step backs or picks to create space for my shots. If I've tried to force my way inside or shoot as time was running out, yes, I've been blocked. Each shooter seems to have their own shot animation, so it does take a couple of attempts to get it down with certain players, but, as in real life, the general rule of thumb is to release the shot at the highest point of the players jump. With this strategy, my team is shooting in the low 40s from 2 and 3 point range. Foul shooting is essentially the same except the players aren't jumping and you have to follow their arms to know when to release... It is basically the highest point of the shooting motion. As a team, I am shooting mid 70s from the free throw line. Looking at the real NBA stats for the Cavs this year, they shoot 42% from 2, 34% from 3 and 76% from the line. NBA Live 14 is about dead on accurate using that as a comparison. I must say that Kyrie Irving has my lowest shooting percentages from 2 and 3 point range, but that is because I use him in isolation and he's the one who usually has the ball when I'm forcing the issue as time winds down. Those who've had their shots created for them by Kyrie's penetration have the higher shooting percentages. My strategy to raise Kyrie's shooting percentages have been to force less shots, create for others and take his shots as they come to him. In my last two games his assists are up and his shot percentage has been around 50% while only losing a point or 2 off his average.

Bugs. The only bugs I've encountered are the crowd sound cutting out in the daily challenges and a computer controlled opponent standing still until the shot clock expired. The sound has only cut out once on me and the player standing still has only happened on two possessions in roughly 12 games played.

Graphics. Player faces are a slight letdown. I haven't seen a character model that looks nothing like the real life person, but they all do seem kind of off. They could be more realistic and the eyes need some work. Those who say the game isn't detailed must not play long enough for the players to start sweating or look at the models up close. This game has the most accurate player tattoos I've ever seen. Arenas are very accurate, right down to having different lighting in different venues. The Knicks Arena is lit much differently than that of the Thunder.

In conclusion, everything I've said here points to this being a realistic simulation. I think it's a solid 7. Areas I'd like to see improved are transitional animations, I think plays should overlay the court like they do in Madden, I think some players should have a quicker first step and I think the player faces should be more realistic. Do that and I'd rate the game in the mid 8s. To get into the 9s, the series needs a revolutionary feature, but I don't know what that would be. Maybe player creation that allowed you to use EA's Gameface tech and the ability to create your own plays for starters.

It's worth mentioning that I did play the demo before opening the copy I had already purchased just in case it was as bad as people were saying. I was very excited when I started playing the demo and couldn't wait to put my copy in and get started. I also got Forza 5 and Madden at launch and I've played this the most by far.

This game is better than everyone says. I read the reviews and I ended up originally buying NBA 2K instead. I was amazed by the graphics. There were several things I was tired of with 2K but I sucked it up to get the overall good experience.

I watched a gameplay video and it actually looked really good.

Then it hit me. This game only looks good when you actually know HOW TO PLAY.

In most reviews you see people getting blocked in the post, because the reviewers didn't even bother learning how to play in the post. They didn't even use the proper controls to back down. Once I learned the controls I started scoring half my points DOMINATING with Demarcus Cousins like in real life.

I was tired of NBA 2K being super fast. The game is WAY faster than real life. This game has a good game speed to me.

Everyone acted like the commentary was horrible, but so far I've enjoyed it. NBA 2K's commentary always repeated the same thing over and over to me. So while they filled all of the "gaps" they filled it with the same thing I heard last game. Hearing new commentators is very refreshing to me.

The flaws:

Yes, when the ball bounces off of the hoop it looks funny. Some passing animations are a little funny too. Some of these things look like they were fixed with Live's original update.

While some people claim the AI will stand there and not even shoot, I haven't seen that. Again, possibly that was without the update EA pushed out.

Also as you know, the graphics on this game are subpar. NBA 2K14 has MUCH better graphics overall. However, the graphics are not HALF AS BAD as they say. On my TV NBA Live looks very good. The player models may not look "next gen" but they are definitely an upgrade over the PS3 or the 360. The court looks great, and the net looks great.

But EA has promised to push BIG updates to improve graphics AND animations. Those are the games two major issues.

I think the game is playable now and very enjoyable. It will only improve with the updates.

So if you love NBA 2K and have no issues, I wouldn't recommend getting Live, you will probably be disapointed.

But if your like me, and you got tired of:

Not having control of your player (in 2K people spam the steal button, and you lose control of your player often)

Repetitive Commentary

And if you miss the "feel" of live from the old days. This is a good game to get.

It's still a little stiff and has work to do. But it will get there. I was confident enough to sell my NBA 2K game and buy Live.

In reality it may be a 4 star game, but these 1 star reviewers who just bash and go play 2K give awful reviews, they need to be balanced out.

All I can say is wow. EA had 3 years to readjust it's self knowing it had a tough competition taking on 2K and this is what they created? This game would be mediocre at best on the original XBOX. The graphics are just plain choppy and ugly. Also the gameplay mechanics are atrocious. Don't even bother backing down in the post, you will always get blocked. I kind of had a feeling this game would be bad since in the previous months there has been no actual gameplay footage shown and they did not let any review sites get there hand on this. EA is trying to dupe you all in to thinking this is gold. Do yourself a favor and don't support this crap and get NBA 2K14

Not as bad as everyone says it is but I guess it depends the individual. True the graphics aren't up to par with 2k but I value gameplay over seeing a guys sweat and stuff. Just hope EA keeps their end with the updates. Suggest playing demo before purchasing though.

This is a great simulation game based during WWII in the pacific as noted by another review, you play the US Navy and the Japan Navy. The graphics of the game is quite good and is an improvement from Air Conflicts: Secret Wars PlayStation 3. If you've played "Legends of War: Patton" this might be a little similar due to the campaign having some similarities; for example, you can manage your pilots, change different weapons on planes and have camouflage on the planes. The length of the campaign seemed a little long, but I think it depends on which decisions you choose. All of the battles take place at historic moments in WWII from Iwo Jima, Pearl Harbor, ocean battles, etc. As for the multiplayer there is hardly anyone online right now, but hopefully since this was just released in US there will be more players and this will be a great game. Overall this is a great game and is a great game for less than $20.

My first thought was, "how can I say no to a $19.99 PS3 title?" Got it and it's well worth the 20 bucks. It's mainly based around the events of Pearl Harbor during WWII and you can play as either the Americans defending or the Japanese attacking. I like that the game is mainly aerial sim but also allow you to use the guns on the carrier ships. Graphics are decent and it was pretty fun to play. $20 well spent if you ask me.

I bought the game for only 5 dollars. The DLC costs more than the game itself! However, it is still cheaper than buying the complete version. The game runs fine after a few tweakings. PC graphic is better than xBox version.

The other reviewer complains the DLC bundle requires the original game to work. It should be self-explanatory since it is a DLC. I can't imagine any gamers will just buy the DLC without the game.

I couldn't get this to work with my Steam copy. Ended up having to buy it there. Beware. The cases seem to be of equal quality to the original ones (not that they are /new/ they were just marketed as DLC).

Bigger map than the offered maps (Kino and 5) and it gets intense pretty quickly. I noticed that if someone is on the far end of the map opposite where I am, if I don't make my way to them immediately, there is little chance of saving them. So it's better to stick together unless you can hold your own. I love the weapon where the zombies are pulled into a sort of space portal. That really helps in the later rounds. Great map pack. A lot of fun. I can finally stop playing Kino for a while now.

I fixed the controller that our dogs chewed up in under 15 minutes. Just a note there is a sticker under the battery compartment that hides the last screw that needs to be removed on the controller.

Controller thumbstick replacements occur, whether you're a casual gamer or a gamer that plays in tournaments such as myself.

Usually if you get a controller you use a lot and get into the groove with thumstick use, it's to of no surprise you don't wish to drop $30+ on a new controller.

Installation is a snap and the thumbsticks should be worked in circles afterwards to ensure that they are seated on their connector rod.

Also, these are made by the same OEM that produces the thumbsticks for Microsoft, so the quality is the same, which is great :)

I bought these since my original thumbsticks had lost their grip, and they really serve their purpose. Although they are not OEM, they have a decent quality. Do not order a Torx T8H to open your controller, they come with one. Also, in the beginning the thumbstick may stay get stuck, but this problem will be gone after the first couple of days.

I lost a thumbstick to a friend's rage awhile back. He replaced the controller, but I kept it around and now I'm glad I did. Installing these replacement thumbsticks was a snap, especially with the help of the included key (don't let Amazon's suggestions fool you into buying one you don't need). The stick snaps right onto the control stalk, then put the controller back together and you're done! They feel just like the stock sticks and move very naturally and easily. I'll probably pick up a few more just to have some spares around.

Cheap Spy vs. Spy

Originally a hit when released in the arcades in the 80's Spy vs Spy also enjoyed success on just about every home console. I myself had it on the Commodore 64 along with the sequel 'Island Adventure' and the third one called 'Arctic Antics', which were better.

The trouble with the original Spy vs Spy is that the gameplay, while briefly fun, was too limited and the rooms of the big building you ran about in looked the same. It was easy to get lost and there was nothing particularly visually interesting about the game.

But for Spy vs Spy or MAD Magazine completest this game is a must. I've yet to play the new Spy vs Spy game (it only came out on PS2 and XBOX-I have a Gamecube) but it will probably be better than this. If you have a vintage console at home then get Spy vs Spy II or III.

I Had a Blast with this Game! Me And my Big Brother played it all the time and we still do today, my cousin saw me play it and wanted to try it out and He had a blast with it as well. It makes it more of a challenge when you put it on hard mode, the weapons you have make it more fun such as a bomb,spring,waterbucket and a time bomb. i loved this game and would recommend anyone who is wanting to buy oldschool games.

GHWT and RB are essentially the same game, but they have their own nuances. RB seems a bit more authentic, and the background action doesn't have to try as hard as the goofy, over-use of contrasting colors and shoddy animation that GH uses. The characters doesn't quite seem as alive in GHWT. It's almost seems that the target audience for GH is those in the single-digit age range.

Instruments:

Unfortunately, the ION Drum Rocker is a bit awkward on the game. It can be figured out, but using the highly-breakable GH drumset is the way to go.

The new guitar has some great additions, such as a longer strum bar, and a star power bridge button. The slide pad is an interesting addition, although I wouldn't have made it as long as they did. Still, I prefer to stick with the GH3 Les Paul.

The Rock Band M.I.C. works with the game if anyone was wondering.

What I like better about GHWT over RB:

One thing I do like better in GHWT is the vocal meter. The line is thicker and is a little easier to identify when pitch needs to be adjusted

If using the stock drums, the better layout goes to GH. Although the cymbals can be added to RB2's kit, they are still quite optional in the game...which acts no different whether you have cymbals or not. In GH they are part of the experience. However, the ION Drum Rocker beats both hands down (as it should, being $300).

I like that other gamers can write their own tunes or make renditions of other songs. The lack of vocals is lame, but totally understandable. Copyrights would be broken left and right to the full extreme (which I'm sure they are already are).

Last Words:

The song selection is still much better (and bigger) in Rock Band...and there is DLC for days.

All of this leaves my family sticking with Rock Band and its song selection expanse.

Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis Reviews

Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis isn't really a unique game. It follows a formula that's actually pretty old. Simulation games have covered everything from building cities and theme parks, to every day living at home. However, Operation Genesis is a little different, and those differences prevent the game from being bland.

Basically, you're running a zoo. A zoo where the animals range from the size of a small cat to the size of a blue whale. But instead of just buying animals and attractions and setting them up in your park, you have to research them first. You have to put money in to dig up fossils, then once you have the fossils you have to give them to the genetics lab and have them extract the DNA. But here's the kicker: you have to have at least 50% of the dinosaur's genome in order to clone one. Also, the higher percentage of the genome you have, the longer your dinosaur will live. At low percentages, the dinos live for a few months, at higher percentages they last up to four or five years. If they're going to be around that long, you have to keep them somwhere electric fences. You have to build the fences, build attractions so that visitors can see into the enclosures, and build security devices to keep those nasty carnivores from making lunch out of tourists.

The central gameplay is keeping your tourists happy, your dinos healthy, and your wallet full. But there are complications. There are different types of tourists with different needs and expectations. Dinosaurs often get sick and you have to research vaccines or quarantine sick dinos to stop an outbreak. And to add to your aggrevation, natural disasters often damage your park, forcing you to rebuild fences, find dinosaurs, bring them back to their enclosures, and keep tourists alive. As it was said in the first movie "every theme park has its problems", but as Ian Malcom then pointed out that in Disney Land "When the Pirates of the Carribean broke down, the pirates didn't eat the tourists." You'll be expected to check buildings and fences once in a while to keep up with maintenance

The game is divided into several sections. There's "Operation Genesis" which is the main theme park part of the game, "Missions" which allows you to go on safari tours of a park to complete an objective, and "Site B" which is a lot like the Site B from the movie in that there's no theme park, just dinosaurs running amuck and interacting with each other.

For all the ups in the game, there are a few downs. I don't know about the other platforms, but on PS2 there were times when the game would freeze (mostly from hitting buttons too fast). You can only unlock 3 digsites to find fossils meaning you'll never be able to get every species of dinosaur in a single game. And most annoying of all emails. People working in your park constantly email you to update you on things. Here's an example: say your T-Rex is giving you trouble and you want to get rid of it. What do you do? Well, you could kill it with a park ranger helicopter. But the second the Rex is dead, you get an email from your dino expert telling you that the T-Rex died. What's worse, say you created seven brachiosaurus at once. When their time comes and they've lasted four years or however long they're expected to live, you get seven individual emails telling you your dinosaurs have died. Another annoyance factor is dinosaur illness. At one point in the game, I literally had twenty dinosaurs (different species) that either died or went into a coma, all within five minutes of gameplay. The game picks the worst time to spring disasters on you.

Taking all of that into account, it's still a great game. If you like simulation games and dinosaurs (or either one), this is a good game for you. But as with most games, I recommend that you try it before you buy it. Rent the game or borrow it from a friend first, because it may not be for everyone.

Finally a JP game that is good and what should have been an expected game format since the release of the first film.

This game is a great world builder for everyone (some hard core world builders may find it a bit easy). The interface is easy once you understand it (doing the tutorials are a must) and you'll be kicking dinos out of the hatchery in no time.

The graphics are great but the music and "message from" voice get a little annoying (thankfully you can turn them off). The dinosaurs are well rendered and interact with each other just like you would expect in a real Jurassic Park. The rampages that happen, especially after a twister takes down a section of one of your enclousers are FANTASTIC. I laughed my butt off!

A few short comings kept me from giving 5 stars:

First, you have no control over game speed. Although the game moves at a good pace, it would have been better to have had the ability to slow or speed things up.

Second, there is a serious lack of buildings. Some of the buildings you would expect for this type of theme park are here, but the game could have up'd the challenge a bit by adding more support buildings (other than the cleaning buildings). Like maybe having to build a research lab rather than taking for granted those facilities just exist, or maintenance facilities needed to take care of safari vehicles and helos. A park pre-opening period would have been helpful and good for getting these types of buildings constructed.

Third, was not being able to build an unlimited number, or at least a high number of buildings. You are severly and annoyingly limited in the number of certain buildings you can construct (bathrooms)!

Fourth, the number and varity of dinosaurs you can make. The dinosaur populations maxed out at 60 (not really that bad). But, I did not like not being able to unlock more than three dig sites, which are needed to get fossils for DNA extraction, giving you better varity. It was my biggest dissapointment because some of my parks ended up being all Cretaceous era parks. They could at least allow you to change the name from "Jurassic Park" to "Cretaceous Park". It is however part of the game challenge because you have to satisfy a varity of park visitors taste, but it's still annoying.

Finally, the research portion was kind of dissapointing. You must conduct research before using or building certain things. Some of them are what you would expect to research and where usefull to game play like dinosaur vaccines. However there was some really dumb stuff, like cash machines and souvenir stands. HELLO, the game year starts in 2000, and I think man had evolved well beyond the point of having to research cash machines and gift shops before being able to build them (call Chevy Chase Bank which if you ever lived in the DC area you would know what I'm talking about).

Back on the bright side, this game has great replayability. There was so much more to do than just build a park. The tutorials (again a must) cut to the chase and were not just an annoying task to complete. You can do the tutorials and avoid having to refer to the game manual at all. There are tons of side missions also. Completing one, unlocks the next. Then there is the ultimate goal of getting site B unlocked. A chunk of land and the ability to breed dinosaurs that you cut loose to roam free.

There is promise for a franchise game here. If they decide to release expansion packs that make some improvements listed above, I would also buy the PC version.

Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis is first and foremost a god-game, the kind of game where you control everything from a commanding perspective. Yet this game has so much to offer and a heap load of things to accomplish and do it never gets old. First the graphics are very solid. Great textures, great enviormental effects and very, VERY realistic dinosaurs. This is one of the best aspects of the game because it feels and looks so realistic you can't help but take it seriously. They are by no means perfet however. Little glitches such as dinosaurs walking through one another and sometimes blocky shapes do frequently occur but aren't serious enough to effect the overall greatness of the game. There are many modes to the game, including Operation Genesis which is the main chunk of the game. This is where you research, build and maintain the park which is never a problem and always fresh and exciting. Despite this modes endless replay value, it also comes (as well as the entire game comes)with a very versitle camera system. It allows you to see what the visitors see, what the helicopters see as well as mostly anything else you could ever want to see from any angle and perspective. Another great mode is Missions Mode. Here you can have some serious fun, from taking money making pictures of dinos and herding large qauntities of them to sniping and taking them out, they are all fun. Depending on how skilled a gamer you are, theese may take you quite a while to complete or a short amount of time, but they are fun diversions from the park mode. (Park mode also can have some intense dinosaur sequences if you don't build the park well enough.) Tutorials, Dinopedia and Site B are other modes that really increase the longivety and pleasing effect to the game. All in all, JPOG is an incredible game that can appeal to anyone-from thrill seekers, world builders and even a combination of both. There is simply so much to do and learn and master and create that it really has no bounds to what you can do. 5 out of 5 stars all the way!

When Jurassic Park 3 came out, I went on a Jurassic Park fan site and saw that Vivendi Universal was making a Jurassic Park SIM game. Being the BIGGEST Jurassic Park fan in the world, I was in awe. Anyway, this game is based on a SIM version of Jurassic Park. You build John Hammond's dream theme park/zoo and make it the best theme park in the world. You have many things to do such as create JP, trainings, and missions. By completing everything (with the exception of Operation: Genesis) you unlock Site B: An island with dinosaurs to just enjoy and watch. When you build JP, you make fences and dinosaurs (duh!) plus kiosks, attractions and security things. The only problem is that you have a limit of things(like dig sites, dinosaurs etc.) and when you research things, they take a while and our obvious things (weather guard, ATM, gift shops, safari's, vaccines, etc.)but it is such a small complaint compared to all the other great things. This is the greatest game I have ever played and I hope they make an Operation: Genesis 2. Thanks for reading.

This game is pretty cool if you enjoy The Sims but compared to The Sims it can't hold a candle stick. I enjoyed this game but there isn't much to do.

You can create your own island, which is nice but you only get to choose the size, mountains and rivers. You can only 'dig' for fossils in 3 areas (of 9 areas) of your choice giving you a solid 9 dinosaurs ONLY for your park. You only get at best 15 buildings (3 are fences, some cameras, etc.), worse is you can have so many of one type of building making a large park barron because you can only have so few buildings (then the tourists get pissed cos there's not enough toilets), and it takes ages to research anything. Even the souvenier stand has 3 items to buy, same as the food stand -alot of variety eh?-

Personally I thought it was a great game but lacking in alot of areas, it'd be better if you could get lots more buildings and attractions and more dinosaurs.

Its a game to get if you wanna sit back and watch your park play out, but if you don't like Sims games, don't go near this.

It's not a bad game... but it doesn't stand out either. If you want the full experience you need to play with a group of friends. With friends I can see it being a great co-op 'splosion fest... alone it's a slog. Most of the characters are rather bland, they tried to give them back stories but it felt like they gave up halfway through. The combat works quite well but enemy AI is rather lacking. Rather than try and flank they just send larger groups of guys at you, or one strong guy. It's not a bad game... but it's not a great game either.

The game is a co-op third person shooter. So if you like those style of games it is worth checking out. If not, then don't bother.

I won't go into refuting the "critics" complaints, that they seem to forget when they review gears of war or the like but I will mention my biggest problem with the game.

Twice so far I have had to log out and reload because of some sort of bug where the game fails to properly load the next scene. The checkpoint system is generous enough that I never had to replay more than a minute of an area, but it is still annoying to run into even if it is not a game breaker.

I'll still play it and enjoy it.

Best Deals for Fuse

I had high hopes for Fuse. Being an Xbox owner, I was disappointed to never see Insomniac's shooter series, Resistance, and was pleased to see their next game would multi-console. Boy, was I ever fooled. Fuse shows none of Insomniac's supposed creativity. It is, very literally, just there. Fuse has no standout qualities, no real direction or clear focus, nothing that even allows me to remember much of it. It's that generic. Without the Insomniac name on the cover, it could be any third-person shooter on the market. Think Mass Effect without the great story and characters, and Gears of War sans chainsaw. That's Fuse in a nutshell.

The gameplay doesn't redeem Fuse. Like the rest of the game, the "creative" weapons are simple and bland. Your A.I teammates., in stark contrast to their personalities, are timid and slow-witted. Enemies have decent A.I., but it still feels a bit rough. Likewise for the level designsserviceable, but bland. To have some decent fun playing, you need a few other people along for the ride with you, to cancel out the poor A.I.

The story is, to be frank, a bit confusing. A quick summary of Fuse's story would be; 1-alien "stuff" crashes on Earth, 2-alien "stuff" is used in weapons, 3Bad guys, using said alien "stuff" try to take over the world, 4etc. The video game equivalent of a Micheal Bay movieall special effects, no substance.

If there's one positive thing I can say about Fuse, it's that it does what it's supposed to do. It has a third-person viewpoint. You shoot stuff. If you need a backup shooter, or just have a few friends in need of a co-op game, Fuse will do. Just don't expect anything spectacular.

I first took notice of this game awhile back when I saw a preview for it in Gameinformer and thought it looked really good, but then I saw that the same magazine gave it a 7.75/10. For them it seems that anything less than an 8 is terrible, so I kinda forgot about it until one of my buddies let me borrow his copy with a ringing endorsement. I then purchased my own copy within 24 hours.

I don't really understand why people are complaining about this game. Honestly, I find this single player to be orders of magnitude better than the last 3 Call of Duty games. I know gameplay between the two is not really comparable, they're just too different, but storytelling sure is. I found much of the campaign to be exciting and highly memorable and actually really liked the storyline. I understood what was going on and why, which was welcome.

The Echelon mode is fun, kind of like Firefight in Halo. But I think it's going to suffer from the same problem of being too repetitive, though to their credit, the waves do seem to be mixed up every time you play.

Graphics and sound are excellent, no complaints. The weapons are fun and a bit different. Melee combat is awesome and there's a decent degree of character customization.

The next big thing I've noticed complaints about is the AI. I found them to actually be quite intelligent, at least as smart, if not smarter than Marines in Halo (my benchmark for decent AI). The enemies will try different strategies to kill you and your allies will help you.

I can't really speak about coop, I haven't tried it yet, but this game is one that can be endlessly replayed alone. And I really like that, so much emphasis has been placed on shooting each other in multiplayer lately that single player and coop have been horridly neglected.

I wish Fuse much success and I hope to see a sequel.

When I first saw the previews for Fuse, I was very intrigued. It looked great and the squad-based dynamic where each squad member has their own special ability sounded fun. However, from the preview to the actual release of the game, many changes were made. The end result was a good, but unpolished game that could've been so much more.

Graphically, the game looks pretty good. You'll play in a variety of atmospheres an underground tech lab, snowy mountain base, jungle base, etc., which all look nice. The character models look ok, if not completely cliched. The story is interesting, the voice acting is decent. The gameplay is good it controls a lot like Gears of War. Cover-based third-person shooter. You can play as any team member at any time with a pretty nice "jump" feature. At any point in the game, you can switch to another team member. This is nice if you are cornered and need the help of a squadmate's special abilty. The special abilities range from the ability to create a force shield to being able to disentegrate an enemy at a molecular level. Trust me, these sound a lot cooler than they actually are, though. While they do serve their purposes for the most part, the abilities each member owns is mostly forgettable. I found myself playing as the team leader (the stereotypical muscle head) who's ability was the mag shield. I may have used it a handful of times throughout the game, but mostly I was just shooting from cover the whole time.

Each team member also has an upgrade tree, although they are all pretty much the same. The only real differences are the available upgrades for their specific abilty.

At the end of the day, I had a lot of fun playing Fuse. There are some over the top firefights, including some nice boss battles, that really light up the screen. If you go into this game looking for a solid 3rd person shooter with a decent story and controls that make sense, you will be satisfied here. Although Fuse could've been so much better, it's still a solid title.

This game, like all Karaoke Revolution games, suffers the same fatal flaw. They never seem to have a big enough song list. Songs that no one sings are found on each volume while some really hit glee songs have been left off of all three volumes.

I don't have Xbox Live so I can't say anything about the downloadable content, but if you dont love the majority of the songs on the list, I would pass on this game.

This bundle pretty much sucks. You might be better off buying the game separate from the mic. The lag is horrible. My daughter loves it and hates it all at the same time. Honestly, it truly is terrible. I'm hoping not all are this bad. As for the one we bought and are now returning. It's useless!!

Bought as a gift for my daughter who loves to sing. I chose this one because it had songs that she would probably know and it came with a microphone. The mic is usb though, and some of the game functions won't work with the wired mic. Still, I think it was a good value and she and her friend enjoy.

I chose this rating because my daughter-in-law loves Glee. It arrived in perfect condition and packed very well. It is a Christmas gift so it has not been tried as of yet.
