I got this game in and although I don't usually play imported games or bullet hell games, I decided to give this game a shot----now I'm glad I did. This game is the sequel to Mushihime-sama {Insect Princess} and it WILL play on America 360's so give it a shot if you can also the some of the option menus are in english so you should be able to navagate with ease. Anyway the story goes like this The plot revolves around the death of the antagonist from the first game, Aki, and his mother, Larsa, going insane and seeking revenge on Reco for allegedly killing him. Her younger son Palm goes in search of Reco to learn the truth about his brother on his own. Eventually Reco finds Palm lost far from home and the two become friends, with Palm learning what happened to Aki was not her fault. Together, they aim to travel back to Palm's home and stop the madness of Larsa.

This game is a bullet hell game like none other and features what is probably the hardest end game boss of all time. This is the 1.5 ver. so you have access to the Ultra mode from the start, also if you check the game's information on the 360's dashbord and press x when you have the game high lighted, go to Extras and you'll find the Black Lable {in this case Black Laval} download, this will add God Mode and also gives you the True Last Boss fight with Spirit Larsa {the hardest boss in video game history} for about 1500 MS points. This is truly a wonderful game and honestly isn't as hard as it looks but it is a heck of a challange.

I heard about this game from a friend who had also purchased the game. He told me it was definitely worth the money and that he has fun playing it. So I decided to get it myself.

After getting the game and playing it for myself, I was hooked.

It's a shoot 'em up that's very fun to me. I'm not all big on vertical shoot em' ups, but I enjoyed this one a lot.

The colors are nice and the music is beautiful.

Even if you don't know Japanese, it's not that hard to start playing.

Red Dead Redemption

While Rockstar is mostly known for the Grand Theft Auto series, they've done another game series that immediately grabbed my attention. As a fan of the Western genre of film I had always wondered what it would be like to run through the American Old West gunslinging in the most dangerous saloons this side of the Mississippi.

Bringing the same scale to Red Dead Redemption as was featured in Grand Theft Auto IV gives the player the ability to run endless missions on the Frontier. Instead of cars and cityscape the player is given a thoroughbred of their choosing to travel across the harsh Western landscape. The game implements several core themes from the Western genre, undoubtedly inspired by some of the great films of the time period. From setting up camp to rest for the night on a long journey, to being able to take stagecoaches from town to town.

As usual Rockstar brings the story. The plot of Red Dead Redemption is an intricately weaved tale of exacting revenge. You get to choose the alliances you form and the rivals you make. During this epic journey to the stunning conclusion of the game, John Marston, the tough sun of a gun you play as, does anything and everything he can to put zeros behind his bankroll.

One of the most fun aspects to the game is the showdowns. At any random point during the game a local rummy may call your reputation into question, at which point you will be able to decline or oblige him to a duel. However, if you do decide to accept his challenge, you'd better make sure you're ready.

Overall the story is filled with deep character development and more twists than a pretzel, which makes it one of the best in the medium. At the time of it's release the graphics were at the top notch, for this generation of PS3 games it is still considered to be graphically superior. The sound effects and music were all taken straight out of an old Western, so they are as authentic as can be. All the dialogue and voice acting is perfectly done and up to par with what you might expect from Rockstar. Finally to match, the gameplay is so silky it allows you to seamlessly go from a trot on horseback to intense combat in the blink of an eye.

Before I bought Super Street Fighter 4 AE, I was worried that an XBox controller wouldn't work well enough. I was right. The game requires stick motions for which a thumb just isn't fast enough, and button combinations that would require a world-class heavy metal guitarist to perform on an XBox controller. After 2 weeks of playing with my XBox controller, I was getting some real medical problems in my right hand. (Look up "Flexor Tendinitis" if interested.)

After buying two of these sticks, things are much better. I can execute the moves I want to, when I want to, which makes playing the game much more fun. And I no longer worry about the long-term health of my hands.

I've never used another arcade stick on the console, but I spent the whole 1990's playing fighting games in arcades, so I can tell you this: This controller feels just like an arcade stick and buttons. It's sturdy I'm not worried about breaking it.

The base is heavy and big. It works great playing from my lap, sitting on the couch. I don't need a coffee table or anything on which to set it. The built-in cord is just long enough to reach my 55 inch TV with a comfortable amount of slack. If that's not enough, I'd assume a USB extension cord would work perfectly well.

It has been a long and interesting ride with the Star Wars gaming license, with about as many games as there is sand on Tatooine. The latest offerings come in the form of a role playing gameKnights of the Old Republic. Knights is a somewhat confined and well-executed romp through perhaps the greatest franchise ever created. Games magazines are giving Knights high marks, and its well deserved, because she immersiveness of the game rivals just about every other Star Wars title from LucasArts or its stable of developers.

Knights succeeds in just about every categoryit is both stunning to behold and fun to play. Characters are well designed, if a little `same-ish' given that all men and women are the same height, with only superficial variances in model types. The game utilizes a bare-bones version of 3rd Edition D&D at its core, but unlike Neverwinter Nights, KOTOR only uses the system as background support and the mechanics rarely if ever intrude into actual game play. What the game doesn't allow is dual or multi-classing. You can start as either a Soldier, a Scout or a Scoundrel and by 8th to 10th level, you become a Jedi. And your character can only be human. Each class has their pluses and minuses, usually in areas like Skills, Feats and allotment of Jedi powers. Unlike Neverwinter Nights, however, you control the progress of your NPCschoosing their skills, feats, and choice of equipment and weapons that they use. The Jedi classes are almost overwhelmingly superior to their mundane counterparts, but given this is a game about Jedi during their golden age, it is to expected.

KOTOR's story revolves around two former Jedi who, victorious over the Mandalorians, returned to conquer the Republic after falling to the Dark Side of the Force. They arrive at the head of a massive star fleet that no one seems to know where they got it from. It is your job to figure out how they managed to assemble such a large fleet and hopefully do something about it without succumbing to the Dark Side. (You can play through the game, making choices that will eventually determine whether you become light or dark.) Sadly, however, KOTOR's story is essentially the same as Neverwinter Nightsinstead of finding four `words of power', you must collect four star map fragments that lead you to an unknown world inhabited by the remnants of an ancient race that essentially gave the galaxy hyperspace travel. And the answer to where the Sith star fleet is coming from is more akin to a Star Trek story line than that of Star Wars. None of this changes the fact that most of the events that lead up to this revelation are interesting and a whole lot of fun. The various plot twists and the `staggering' revelation about your character always keep it interesting.

In Knights you travel to several worldsyou start on the city-world of Taris, Dantooine, where you begin your Jedi training, Tatooine, Kashyyyk, Mannon, and the Sith world of Korriban. There are innumerable quests that you must undertake, many with light or dark consequences, though most of which are entertaining. In these adventures you are aided by several NPCsa Republic soldier named Carth Onasi, Bastila Shan, a prissy Jedi Sentinel, the perky Twi'lek girl, Mission Vao and her Wookie sidekick, Zaalbar, an astromech droid, Canderous Ordoan ex-Mandalorian mercenary, a cantankerous fallen Jedi named Jolee Bindo, and HK-47, a smart-mouthed assassin droid turned translator. HK-47 steals every scene he is in with his dry, dark humor, wry condescension and quips on the limitations of so-called `meatbags' and bragging about his success as an assassin. There is also a never ending supply of equipment and gear to upgrade characters witharmor, shields, weapons and lovely flamethrowers.

The combat system involves queuing up actions for each character then watching them executed on screen. You can queue up four actions, be they attacks, Force powers, healing items or stimulant injectors (potions, essentially), and each action is executed in sequence. You can pause at any time, assigning actions to your characters, targets to attack, etc. then unpause and watch everything unfold. Though a limited way to do things, it is never dull to watch and the combat sequences are well animated and very flashy. One downside is that you can't switch weapons on the fly, rather you must pause, enter a sub-menu and swap weapons out as you desire. Combat should have been a little more interactive, but since battles rarely last very long anyway, it hardly makes a difference.

KOTOR's graphics are lavish and everything has that all-important Star Wars look to it. Sound effects are bang on. In this BioWare really did such a wonderful job in capturing all of the nuances of what Star Wars is all aboutsomething Lucas can't seem to do in latest batch of prequels. This is perhaps the deepest and most Star Wars-like game since Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight, successfully capturing the best of what Star Wars is. I would have preferred a more 3rd-person-esque style of control and more freedom of movement, because though you can drive your character around the places you visit, you cannot climb, jump, swing, etc., which really would not have been that hard to accomplish within the confines of the game.

Ultimately, it is a very satisfying gamehuge game worlds, which while linear in nature are fun to explore, epic story and fun characters more than make up for its failings. It has some bugs that lead to system lock-ups that forced several restarts. No mention of midi-chlorians, prophecies, or `chosen one's'. It is a very romantic high adventure peppered with humor and a sense of fun kinda what the movies are supposed to be like. What's more is that it provides 40-60 hours of fresh gameplay, making it the best Star Wars game in a long time.

This is an awesome game. Period.

In many ways, this game redefines the role playing genre. What is very unique about this game is that it has a very rich story. Probably one of the best Star Wars stories ever. This is the first game I have ever played where I simply kept going because I wanted to see what happens next. And I can guarantee you that there will be plot twists you will never be expecting!

Also, the game features some of the most memorable game characters ever. Way to go, HK-47!

The game also makes great use of character-shaping techniques. Are you going to evolve along the light side of the force, or is the dark side too tempting? Are you going to change your mind half way through? Many special abilities can be aquired, turning characters into very unique beings. And then of course, there is the choice of your party members: Do you want the strong wookie to help you out, or would you rather have a violent droid with you? Or perhaps a Jedi knight whom you just saved from the dark side? Or is it all just a trap?

The choices you make throughout this game have a great impact. In fact, this is problably the first game ever that I will play through a second time! Dark side, here I come...

Best Deals for Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic - PC

I had more fun playing Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic than I did watching the first two recent prequels at the theater. The story was more compelling and better yet, I had a chance to decide my Jedi's path. Simply put, this game is one of the best role-playing games for the PC in years. Now the game does use Dungeons and Dragons rules and it's not an action-based game. In other words, you will assign your character and his henchmen duties that they must perform in combat and watch the results (which are determined or prerolled by the computer) played out in front of you. It works similar to the popular D&D gaming series Baldur's Gate only with a more cinematic engine. (It's also made by the same people.) Also, don't expect to meet Luke Skywalker anytime soon as the events in this game take place at least a thousand years before the classic trilogy. Don't let that sway you from buying the game though because it has a fantastic story with its own classic heroes and villains. Blasters, Dark Jedis, classic planets such as Tatooine and plenty of fixtures from the Star Wars universe are in the game. Plus, the story has a nice twist that will knock your socks off! A fun game for any RPG fan. If you don't enjoy the RPG genre or only prefer quick games with little reading, don't pick it up, you probably won't enjoy it, but everyone else should give it a try. If I had to make a list of the top five games for the PC in 2003, this game would be on it.

Honest reviews on Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic - PC

You don't have to be a Star Wars fan to appreciate what a great RPG this is, but it can't hurt. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is the best RPG that I have played at least since Baldurs Gate 2, and it is the best Star Wars experience since the first trilogy. There is just so much to see, and so much to experience. Then, when you are finished, you can go back and do it all over again as an evil character instead of a good one.

On a high end video card, the game is beautiful to look at. The level of detail in the graphics is astonishing. The on-screen appearance of your character and your companions changes depending upon what you equip them with, and your physical appearance actually changes depending upon how good or evil you behave. The environments are immersive and realistic, and also varied. You fight on grass-covered plains, beautiful beaches, desert, and even a bit underwater. The grass and the trees sway in the breeze and sand kicks up when you run across the beach. Combat is equally impressive to watch. Lightsaber battles are reminiscent of the big one at the end of "The Phantom Menace". You watch characters thrust, parry, feint, kick, and slice with their lightsabers. And then there's the force powers oh the force powers. They are fun to use, and dazzling to look at.

Every NPC line in the game is voice-acted. Every single last one. And it's all high-quality material. I can't state how great this part is. It's like getting to play through a 40-hour epic movie. Some dialog trees are huge and go on for minutes at a time. Your NPC companions are fun to click on just to see if they have anything interesting to say, and they usually do. They are deeply developed, unique, and have interesting stories to tell. One of them, a homicidal droid, provides a lot of comic relief. Another is brutal mercenary who tells interesting war stories. Chances are, you will want to take different party members with you on different quests just to see what they have to say. Lots of NPC's have their own side plots, which are woven into the game.

The storyline itself is not that great, but it's the way that the story is told that is so great. The themes of Good vs. Evil and Light vs. Dark are shown to you over and over again. These concepts are not explained to you. Instead, you experience them for yourself. You get to witness or perform good deeds, as well as atrocities. If you are playing a good character, then by the end of the game you will have developed genuine feelings of distaste for The Sith and their Dark Lord, Malak. If you are playing as an evil character, than you will have an opportunity to commit some truly heinous acts against helpless civilians, or your friends. All of this gives you a true sense of role-playing that is unparalleled since Planescape: Torment.

The role-playing system isn't as robust as D&D, but there is still a lot to it. There are hundreds of goodies like armor, weapons, and accessories that you can equip your character and companions with. Chances are, you'll play a certain way one time, and then want to try some different setups the next time that you play. You can change the color of your lightsaber, and change the crystals in it to upgrade its properties. You can wield just one lightsaber, a double-ended staff sabre, or one in each hand. You can also choose between brute force or finesse, but brute force seems to be an easier path. As you progress through the game, there is a true feeling of power progression. You can feel yourself changing from a lowly soldier to a godlike Jedi who at the end of the game slices through hordes of powerful enemies like a hot knife through butter. That feeling of progression is what makes great RPG's like this so addictive.

It's simple. This is the best RPG since Baldurs Gate 2 (another Bioware title). If you like Star Wars, or if you have liked any of Bioware's other role-playing games, then you must give this game a try.

I'm a girl gamer and although I am not a big fan of Star Wars, I LOVED Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic game. The graphics were beautiful, the plotline awesome, and the character models simply amazing. There are dozens of ethnic models to chose from, and you get to play as either a male character or a female character. Both genders have several unique subplots, including a small but sweet romance. (Oooh, gotta love that Carth).

My only peeve? The turret game! I might've been able to ace this one on the console, but it was super hard on my laptop trackpad. Since the game is mandatory and not 'skippable' I washed out several times before I hooked up an external mouse and learned that you need to aim your 'cannons' in FRONT of the ships you're trying to shoot. This allows for a greater margin of error. Still, I did find this a minor annoyance in an otherwise BEAUTIFUL game.

What a fun and entertaining game! Oh, and shall I mention the landscape of the "Forgotten World" was one of the most beautiful digitized landscapes I've ever seen in a video game? Really cool!

5 STARS for hours of enjoyment.

*NOTE AGAIN THAT THIS WAS PURCHASED FROM AMAZON, NOT ANOTHER SELLER*

A checklist that should tell you exactly why you want this.

-This is a Microsoft refurbished console. That means it will be in 360 packaging with resealed cords, controllers, and headset (I'm tempted to say that my headset was brand new, and maybe even my cords, but I don't want to claim that without knowing. Regardless. There is something nice about not opening a clamshell sealed 360 that smells like lung cancer.) The condition is pristine. NO dirt or smudges. One sticker on the bottom that says refurbished. Mine left a bit of sticky when I took it off. Nail polish remover will get it off without pain if you are worried about that.

-It will come with the new power-brick that is vented, it also has the new Jasper chip. This means: Even though you are getting a refurbished console, it is technically more sound than a brand new 20 gig from Microsoft's original batches. Rest easy my friend. This console was not made to break. It's like it got a tune up. These two features paired together will fight overheating and RED RING OF DEATH.

-It does have HD

-Mine came with 2 controllers, which at the time wasn't advertised (so it was a nice surprise). Cross your fingers about that if it's not openly included.

-If you don't already know, because it has a hard drive you will be able to connect to Xboxlive out of the box, though for online play I would recommend buying a 12 month live subscription. You can easily find them online for 35ish dollars. If you pay more you didn't look hard enough. :)

Hope this helps in your decision.

As for my console it runs like a charm, for long periods (when I say this I mean as I waste my whole day away) without any heat at alland I can really tell the difference because I had a 60gig a few years backthe difference is black and white as far as heat output. I took it on a road-trip (to update it back home) for over 30 hours in total in a backpack that I threw around (gingerly) as I used the bag day to day. Came back home and it was still fine. DO IT. DO IT. DO IT NOW.

I bought this refurbished item just over a year ago, and it is still working perfectly. I have since begun to use it more and more, and it has not given me any problems or issues whatsoever. I would reccomend the refurbished product to anyone trying to get into an xbox and not needing more than a 20g harddrive. If you feel that you would need more storage space, the amount of memory would be the only thing holding someone back from being on this system 24/7. The item came with everything listed, reliable purchase, I'm very glad with my purchase.

Best Deals for Xbox 360 Pro 20 GB

I purchased this setup from amazon, not a third party seller. Let me start by saying that this is a refurbished console by MICROSOFT, meaning that it comes with a one year warranty similar to buying a brand new system. When I got my package (with standard shipping it took 2 days!!) in the mail, everything was packaged very very nicely like I was buying a BRAND NEW system. The console itself looks brand new, NO SCRATCHES, NOTHING like that, it doesn't smell like cigarettes, and it works GREAT!!!! And YES it is a Jasper chipset, And YES it comes with HDMI port on the back. It comes with 2 BRAND NEW wireless controllers (they are NOT refurbished), 4 duracell batteries, HD component cables(NEW not refurbished), The new and improved power brick (brand new), and a brand new xbox live wired headset. The only things that came with this refurbished bundle that aren't brand new would be the console, and the 20 GB hard drive. Both of these things have stickers on them that read "refurbished". But seriously you can't even tell they aren't brand new! And you can tell everything else is brand new by the way it looks, and the stickers on the controllers etc. Seriously though, you won't be sorry that you bought this package! I will admit, at first I wasn't too thrilled with buying electronics that have been refurbished, as I would NEVER buy a gamestop refurbished unit! But this has been refurbished by MICROSOFT, so you know it has been repaired by the best, and in the process, they install the new jasper chip, which if you don't already know, makes the CPU run quieter and cooler, and supposedly prevents the dreaded red ring of death issue. Also you can see in the pictures that the console is an old pro unit by the chrome disk tray, but my console that came was an old arcade unit, because it has the all white disc tray..... But wrapping this up, im EXTREMELY happy with my purchase, It is such a better choice to get this rather than a brand new arcade system which is the same price, and I was EXTREMELY satisfied with amazon.com!!! I ordered this bundle, as well as NBA 2K10 on a Saturday night, and it shipped out on Monday morning, and it literally got to my house Tuesday early afternoon!!! If your thinking about getting this, DO IT YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!!!!

Honest reviews on Xbox 360 Pro 20 GB

I purchased 5 of these systems new from various locations. They were for my grandsons and one for our home for use when they visited to play on. Within the first 15 months all five of them failed with the red ring of death. Microsoft extended the warranty and took them back for repair but sent me back someone else's Xbox that was refurbished. It also took about a month to send one in and get it back.

I basically sent in units in good physical shape and no scratches or damage and got back someone else's refurbished and damaged units. They all failed to within a short period of time! Being an engineer I took them apart and fixed them as they were now out of warranty. It took about an hour per unit to fix them and I got pretty good at it.

The problem is that the cooling design is extremely weak and poorly designed. I had to clean out the heat radiator and fans/fan housing and remove the heat sink from the CPU and GPU. I installed new spacers and improved the flow of cool air in the game case. I remounted the heat sinks using a new thermal interface material (a good one) and the units worked fine after that. I just don't understand how Microsoft can get away with selling junk like this. How many people have invested a small fortune in the game console and games to have the console fail and disappoint their family.

I still have two of the units working perfectly after many years but my disappointment in the product design and in Microsoft is very high!

First off, i would like to start off by saying that i ordered this item on June 6, 2011. I got this item on June 9, 2011. When i came home and opened the box, there was no controller when the description said that it came with a wireless controller. When i contacted this seller, he tried to scam me by saying that he stated that controllers were 25$ each. WHAT A LIE. Then after i told him that i had read over everything and that it didn't say anything about what he said, he decides that he doesn't want to reply back. So anyway, when i plugged up the xbox, it was working fine until 3 minutes later the power button started flashing red. I called up to gamestop and asked them why the button was flashing red, and the guy that worked there said that it was NO GOOD!!!! He said that this xbox is an older model and that they dont make these anymore. THAT REALLY GOT ME FIRED UP. So i emailed the guy back and said " since you are not replying back, all i need to know from you is how do i get my money back?" Then he emailed me back and said to just send the xbox back and he will refund my money. The next day we went to go send the xbox back. About a week later we went to go check the mail and my money was not there. When i emailed him and asked how come my money was not there, he said he will send my money back when he gets the xbox 360, when clearly he told me in a email that he had just sent out my and i should get it by saturday. And i emailed him that part, he gonna say that he thought that i was somebody else. So that clearly states that other people have a problem with this seller. But long story short, i am waiting on my money to come back and yes i did call amazon, and they said they were going to investigate the situation and that i should have my money in about a week. I really do hope that this information helps.

Trying to find things for my kids to do is always a challenge. That's why when Thomas the Tank Engine and Frainds have a software package like this one I had to get a copy.

With 4 engines using 3 locations and 5 possible tracks, giving you 60 different layouts there is always soemthing different. I think if they release another version they should add more engines like Henry, Gordon, Toby and Duck.

You'll find fun right around every turn including having George rip up the track and you have to replace it. You can help Cranky the Crane move boulders off the track and help the engines back on the track when they fall off.

Also there is haybales, crates and oil drums you can spill to only have to clean up after. The only thing I didn't see is Thumper, but I sure he'll show up at some time. Ther are 2 levels a junior and senior engineer, giving you different things to do at each location.

Overall this is a great experience for the kids to look and learn as well as build computer and mouse skills.

Our kids have enjoyed all three of the previous Thomas software titles ("The Great Festival Adventure", "Trouble on the Tracks", and the "Railway Adventures Playset"), and we purchased this latest title a few weeks ago. This one seems very unimpressive in comparison. It might be an ok option if your child is 2-3, and/or if they like the idea of completing a game within 15 minutes; otherwise, you should probably choose one of the other Thomas titles.

The game designers had a good idea -design and build your own rail line -but their execution of this idea is pretty dull and disappointing. You don't get much control over the design of the line, you just select one of 5 pre-designed layouts. All 5 layouts are small (one screen) in size, and they're all pretty similar to each other. You do some inconsequential decorating of the layout by placing a few trees and rocks here and there. After that, you run an engine around the line for as long as you like (it takes just a few seconds to drive a complete lap). Along the way you can complete a couple of dull and extremely simple activities, like load a stack of boxes from one spot and unload them another. It seems silly because you only carry the load for a few seconds before it requires you to unload it all! After that, you can clean and repair the engine (something that's part of every Thomas game), and lastly you "decorate" the engine, which means you get to choose from a few pre-selected decorations. It usually takes 15 minutes or less to complete the whole game.

The game offers two different skill levels, but the ONLY difference between them occurs during the placing of tracks onto the track layout, and it's a really minor difference in difficulty -my 2 1/2 year old can do the higher level.

It's a disappoinment from Infogrames, the company that recently acquired both Hasbro Interactive (which made the previous Thomas titles) and Humongous Software (which produced a LONG list of great kids titles). I've seen a few of their other recent efforts (including "Dora's Backpack Adventure" and "Blues Clues Preschool"), and I have yet to see them produce anything that's on par with their predecessors.

As others have mentioned, there really isnt a lot here. Despite the appeal of the Thomas characters, my 2 1/2 year-old was bored very quickly.

We also have a very well-worn copy of Thomas and the Great Festival Adventure, which actually has puzzles and seems to teach something other than just mouse skills. I was expecting something of at least that quality as was very disappointed.

Also I should mention that whilst the interminable instructions are being recited, the mouse cursor is hidden. This caused a great deal of confusion as my son couldn't work out why the mouse wasn't working all of a sudden.

In short, a regrettable purchase (I will check the reviews next time!)

Honest reviews on Thomas & Friends Building the New Line - PC/Mac

My son is also an avid Thomas Fan and we bought this since he had played the Great Festival Game several times. We run Windows XP and couldn't get the game to load properly. When we finally got into the game there wasn't much to do. The Great Festival Game is a much better deal.

this product stinks! First of all,it only worked when it felt like it and then when I updated my computer, the tool bar told me that the operating software was too old to be compatible with my mac! They are selling software from the early 2000's around 2002 or so....don't buy it,you'll have to buy a real old computer for it to work or better yet, just return it! Its a waste of cash!

When the new Family Game Night Nintendo Wii game came out, I knew I'd want to try it. I have the other three games and love them, EA and Hasbro definitely make a good combination. That being said, "Family Game Night 4: The Game Show" is good, but its not my favorite in the bunch.

Family Game Night 4 contains the games: Scrabble Flash, Connect 4 Basketball, Bop It Boptagon, Sorry Sliders, and Yahtzee Bowling. Each game features its own game plus another version of it. Playing these games on the Wii definitely give the original board games a twist and make for great family fun. The controls are a little funky, they take a few turns getting used to but then its okay. Connect 4 is neat because you shoot chips like a basketball hoping to make a Connect 4! Yahtzee Bowling is just like it sounds but it a lot faster as you roll three times. Sorry Sliders has you sliding Sorry tokens to a center ring, with the second version including Sumo guys! Bop It has you pushing different buttons to make different noises.

Finally, Scrabble Flash is my favorite. I love word games so moving titles around to match up letters is right up my alley. You compete against another player to make words from a set of five letters.

The best part of the game is silly Mr. Potato Head. He wears funny clothes and is a great game show host. Oh and rather than playing each game individually you can also play a Game Show version where you compete for cards by playing the different games.

I purchased this game thinking it would be fun for the FAMILY but was furious to find out it only supports TWO-PLAYERs!!!! I do not recommend this game in any way! This is not a FAMILY game night game! Hasbro you really blew it with this decision!

I highly recommend this version of Hasboro Family Game Night to anyone with small children who have a love of games. It is set up like a game show and is easy for wee ones to navigate. We played with a 6yr old and a 4 1/2 yr old and they got to complete most of the task with very little assistance. The Scrabble was challenging for the younger one but seems to be a great spelling exercise for Kindergarten and up.

The games are okay, but it doesn't let more than one person play at a time. you have to let each person play out the entire game before the second person has a chance.

I'm about 20 hours into the game more or less and I love it! It seems like it would be difficult to understand at the beginning because of all the tutorials but it's easy! Yes it's linear but that's not a big deal to me. Got it on time. Great game! If you have an HD tv get an HDMI cable. It makes a great difference in the graphics. Music is spectacular and plot is tremendous.

This game has some great and fine qualities that are overshadowed by bad development.

ABT (Action Battle Time). Taking turn based gameplay to the next level of if you're not paying attention, you'll lose and fast. Now, this is a feature I actually really enjoy, because it requires a lot more strategy over normal turn based games.

Free roam? Huge worlds? Don't count on it, FF XIII is extremely linear until the very end where the world opens up slightly. You will be running down what seems like never ending paths. Don't get me wrong, the scenery is beautiful. Square Enix never lets you down on breathtaking worlds that can you leave you watching cutscenes over and over.

Class system? It's beautiful. You can't freely pick abilities like in other games and class advancement is linear. However, the ability to change classes live in battle on all characters (setup as paradigms) is crucial to your victory in the game. If you're getting pounded by some flying monster just switch to a tank, healer and buffer. You're good to go for a revenge all out offensive in no time flat.

Personally, I would recommend this game if you can get past the idea of linear maps and running for hours. If not, skip over it.

I Love this game, i don't mind the "linearity" of the game, because ALL JRPG'S ARE LINEAR! Plus the story is great, the characters are awesome, and graphics are phenomenal on the 360. I was lucky enough to get the LTD. Edition for the game and game guide for XIII-2, and plan on pre-ordering Lightning Returns Final Fantasy XIII later on this year. "Die-hards" don't like this game, i say get over yourselves, and admit this is a GREAT game, and more than worthy of the title Final Fantasy.

Excellent graphics,sounds and camera movement.

Good enemies, it's an amazing game.

Square Enix is the best company of RPG games!

First of all, I love board games. I also love family video games you can load up on the big screen, kick back, relax, and have some family laughs. This game is none of that. It totally misses the mark. I really thought this game would be a cool twist on some classic games, somehow, they were able to make playing the games a huge hassle and sent 4 of us attempting to play "just one more" in hopes at least one would save the night.

This game is one disc, and if you want to switch between FGN2 and FGN3 games, you must exit all the way to the dashboard and relaunch the disc. At the disc launch screen, you choose if you want to play FGN2 and FGN3. There is no way to play all 10 games in one sit down without exiting to the Xbox dashboard and reloading the disc. It doesn't help that the menus are horribly slow and there are a thousand cut scenes before, during, and after turns, the game begins or ends, etc.

Achievements: Although it is 10 games, this disc only has 1000 achievement points. They are separate from any other FGN achievement points so if you played DLC on the first game or own FG3 disc, you can pick this up for an extra 1000. The achievements seem really easy. I am not a huge achievement fan, but I was hoping this would have 2000 points since it is technically two games.

Here's a sample review of the games offered:

Twister: 1/10 Nothing like real twister. In this game you must push a sequence of buttons in order as they come across your screen. A very dumbed down "memory" type game which really has NOTHING to do even with the rhythm. There are basically 3 genre's of beat... funk, pop, and disco. The beats are terrible, to the point you will want to turn it off quickly.

Life: 4/10 Closest game to the real thing. We managed to play two games of this one. They actually almost pulled this one off except the game makes you press "A" for so many notifications it takes a lot of the fun of the "flow" of the game. For instance, you will get a notification, "It is your turn, press A", then you press A again to spin, then you land on a place on the board, "This is how to play this game notification, press a to play", Now you play a mini game where you press A again 5-6 times, *end of turn*, "You have $100, opponent %10, end of turn press A".

I would go on with some of the other games, but I think this proves my point.

So far, we have tried most of the games on these 2 disks and they simply aren't worth the time that it takes to load them. The games are tedious, boring or a combination of the two! The most fun we've had was with Pictureka! but even that got boring after the first 20 minute or so. For something that held such promise this turned out to be a huge disappointment.

My girlfriend isn't a big gamer so I bought this game for us because I thought it would be a good beginner for her. We like it alot and play it every so often. Also, I have 12 nieces and nephews so it's great for the kids. No violence or swearing, just good'ol competitive board gaming on the xbox haha it's a good time. Definitely worth the money.

Honest reviews on Hasbro Family Game Night Fun Pack - Xbox 360

Family Game Night one from XBox Live was great. The original versions of the games were well done and the new versions of each game added to the variety. They had replayability, ease of play and most importantly fun going for them. There is a reason that these 10 games were not included in the original set and are crammed together on this hastily compiled edition: they aren't much fun.

One thing that the original game did poorly was presentation. The long load times to load the game, get through the menus, to load each game all took too long. Mr. Potato Man was not a benefit but popped up and hindered game play. Fortunately, you can turn him off for many of the games. This game, Collections 2 and 3, suffer from the same issues plus the two games are not combined on the disc and you have to quit one then load the second. It makes little sense since the XBox Live version of the first game had a tiled wall and the extra games would just add to the wall (your menu.) Why couldn't all ten of these games be added to one wall?

Unfortunately, game play isn't great either. As you would expect, there is no way to play the original versions of some of these games. How can you play Twister on your TV? You can't so it's now just a button pushing game. Jenga tries to work, but real gravity and real touch cannot yet be replicated. So we get new versions of the games, which are really just the name of the game with a what-could-be-done mini game. Disappointing.

The game comes with Operation, Jenga, Bop-It, Connect 4x4, Pictureka, The Game of Life, Clue, Twister, Mouse Trap and Yahtzee Hands Down but the best of the games, Connext and Pictureka can be downloaded on XBox Live and added to Family Game Night one. But even the best games on this compilation fall flatter than a ruined game of Jenga after just a few minutes of play. If you don't believe me then download the demos on Live Marketplace.

If you want board games to play get the real ones. If you must have them for your Xbox 360, then get Family Game Night one from the Xbox Live Marketplace. I don't recommend this game.

This game is really fun when you have time to play it. It's even more fun when you can get at least one other person to play with you. It brought back childhoos memories of all the board games I used to play as a kid!

Best Battlefield 4 Premium Service Deals

Battlefield 4 Premium Service
Customer Ratings: 3.5 stars

Don't buy if you don't play multiplayer, you will get nothing.

What you do get:

-5 expansion packs ($14.99 stand alone each in BF3)

-Monthly gold battlepacks

-Weekly add-ons (Camo, paint, avatars, etc.)

-2 week early access to expansions

-Occasional double XP weekends

-Queue priority so you don't have to wait forever to get into a server you want to join.

Overall they could have done what most other games do and just give the expansion packs for $50 but they give a lot more than in BF3 this time around.

The core game has some issues that will be worked out. The premium service as it is is good. Worth it if you are going to be putting quite a bit of time into this game

Let me start off by saying that I literally never place a public review out there on anything other than Club Nintendo. That said, I really have seen way too many people portraying the game in an extremely negative light.

First thing's first: This is for the Premium service. Buying this does NOT INCLUDE THE GAME. With that said, you can ignore any reviews on this product that involve the game itself. It has nothing to do with it.

Second of all: THIS IS NOT THE GAME!! I can't stress enough how many people give this product a poor review because they are unhappy with the GAME. If you want to review that, go to the game page and stay off this one.

Third (and serious): The Premium service offers a large amount of content for the life span of the game. You receive monthly Battlepacks for the next year (which is why it says you receive 12), every expansion pack that comes out for the game (normally priced would be 14.99 each which makes this a great value at about 35% off), plus Double XP events, new customizations, new knives, and more. If you intend on playing the game throughout its life cycle, this purchase is a no brainer. Please do not be mistaken by the false and incorrect reviews.

My overall theme here is to make sure that you READ THE PRODUCT YOU ARE REVIEWING before posting your opinion. These reviews are basically the judge and jury as to whether a product sees a profit or plummets into oblivion. Tread carefully consumers and makes sure you pay attention to what the reviewers are saying to ensure they even know what they are talking about! I love Battlefield, even with its flaws, and the Premium service will keep me playing for the years to come!

Battlefield 4 Premium is worth it if you plan to play BF4 over the next year. I ordered mine a bit late and still got previously issued monthly battle packs. Premium server queue feature has been nice to rejoin servers quickly if you get disconnected.

Not having to worry about buying future expansions is also nice, helps future proof your game for awhile.

Honest reviews on Battlefield 4 Premium Service

I was able to purchase this and have it installed/redeemed within minutes. I already had a Promo code for purchasing the game so I was happy to get it a little cheaper than the BF4 site.

as for all the content it provides for battlefield its a cheaper solution if you plan on grabbing all the dlc but as far as the quality of that dlc is concerned it'll be only as good as your enjoyment of battlefield 4.
