Review of Xbox 360 Quick Charge Kit

Xbox 360 Quick Charge Kit

I bought the Play and Charge kit (which converts your wireless controller into a wired one while the battery is being charged up) when the X360 launched last year. It does the job, but it takes way too long to recharge the batteries and, while it gave the appearance of charging the batteries while the X360 was in standby mode, that didn't seem to speed the process up all that much. So, I was hyped when I saw that the Quick Charge kit was coming out and I'm glad I picked one up.

Not only can the Quick Charge kit charge up more than one battery at a time, it charges the batteries (at least ) 10 x's faster than the Play and Charge kit. I've had this kit for two weeks now and I can confirm that it does charge up a spent X360 controller battery in about 2 hours and two in about four. Most of mine have charged fast than those times, but I've never let one of the batteries totally die before switching it out (the ring of light flashing that the current battery is dying drives me nuts). The Quick Charge kit comes with one rechargeable battery, so be sure to pick up an extra if you don't already have one. With at least one extra charged battery @ all times, you should be set.

There's not really much else to say about this kit. It works and it works well. I would definitely recommend this kit over the Play and Charge kit b/c A) the Quick Charge kit is SO much faster, B) you won't have a recharging controller plugged into the front of your X360 as you would with the Play and Charge kit, and C) I've had some tech issues with the Play and Charge kit. (Sometimes it says the battery is charged, but when I use the battery and check its strength, the X360 dashboard says the battery is only 1/2 charged. Sure enough, in just a few hours, the ring of light will start to flash again, indicating that the supposedly charged battery is not so charged now. It doesn't happen every time, but often enough to be annoying. The Play and Charge kit also seems to take different lengths of time to charge the batteries. And sometimes, if I leave the controller plugged in, the recharge light will turn back to red after having been green for anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours. Not so good.)

If you own wireless X360 controllers and game a lot, the Quick Charge kit will be worth more to you than 100,000 achievement points. Check it out! wb

If you have an Xbox 360, and have wireless controllers, then the Quick Charge Kit will really impress you. First, it comes with another rechargable battery, so that's nice. Second, it allows you to charge the batteries without using your Xbox 360! I know many of the complaints about the first play-n-charge kit was that it used a controller port to charge! No more. This kit plugs into the wall and can charge 2 batteries at once. If you have not yet purchased a rechargable battery for the wireless controller, just get this kit which includes one battery. You will save tons on regular batteries, and it really is a great addition to the Xbox 360 family of products.

Best Deals for Xbox 360 Quick Charge Kit

This is an excellent option for people who own the wireless controllers. It will save you money over time. The wireless controller of the XB360 can go through a set (2) of AA batteries in about two week's time, if you play heavily.

This is a well-designed and attractive product. The color of the unit matches the color of the 360 perfectly. It is an excellent addition to your collection of accessories for your 360.

I bought one of these units and tested it. It worked as advertised. The performance of the battery pack is better than a set of rechargeable NiMH (1600 mAH) from Rayovac. However, the battery pack did not perform as well as a set of Energizer Alkalines. The Alkalines lasted slightly longer than the Microsoft battery pack.

I was not surprised that the pack lasted longer than the rechargeable AA. Microsoft even stated that rechargeable batteries should not be used in the controllers. I suspect this is due to the fact that typical nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) rechargeable batteries are 1.2 volts. Whereas disposable alkaline batteries are 1.5 volts. Even in my Logitech wireless controller, for my PS2, the rechargeables do not last nearly as long as disposable alkalines.

Should you buy this Microsoft Quick Charge kit? Would you be better off buying a set of regular AA rechargeable batteries and a good charger?

I can tell you that a typical Rayovac battery charger will recharge a set of AA batteries faster than this kit can recharge its battery pack. And if you shop around, it will also become obvious that two rechargeable AAs and a recharger will cost you slightly less than the purchase price of this Quick Charge kit. And, as C. Johnson stated in his review further down, you can use your rechargeables for other devices, like a digital camera. So, in terms of versatility and applicability to various applications, you cannot beat a set of rechargeable AAs. However, a set of NiMH AAs will not give you the same performance as this battery pack. And, if you are like me, I want to keep all of my video gaming equipment together, in one place. I prefer not to share my video game console's accessories with other devices.

I make part of my living as a computer technician. Because I own a lot of equipment that require AA batteries, I buy my alkaline batteries in bulk. And I only own one controller for my 360. I am also a solitary gamer. Because of that situation, I gave my Quick Charge kit to my best friend, who is also a technician. He has three controllers. He is also a social gamer. Therefore, he has a greater need for this product. At this point, I am back to using disposable alkalines for my controller.

I consider the Microsoft Quick Charge kit to be a luxury accessory for your XBox 360. It is not necessary, for most people. And there are cheaper ways of avoiding the cost of disposable alkalines. However, this is a very neat and tidy solution. And, if you are one of those gamers who somehow managed to break your controller's original battery holder, then this is a very, very good option for you.

I can also recommend this Quick Charge kit for parents. This will save you from having to make a trip to the convenience store on a Saturday afternoon. Picture this scenario. Your child has company over, and they are playing a game on the XBox. All of a sudden, the controllers stop responding. The next thing you know, the children are begging you to go to the store and get them some batteries. This kit, along with extra battery packs, can help prevent these inconveniences. And, because the battery pack is unique, there is no danger that another member of your household will take it and use it for their digital camera. You are guaranteed to have available a fully charged battery pack for your gaming needs.

Honest reviews on Xbox 360 Quick Charge Kit

I am slouched in my computer chair as I type this... bloody, winded, and defeated. A mere shadow of my former, confident self. I have long known that it is folly to wrestle with a blister pack without the benefit of scissors, but just as I always feared... they've finally built a better blister pack.

I cut the top edge. Thinking the fell packaging bested like so many that preceded it, I laid down my scissors, placed my fingers into its open wound, and pulled apart with great force, barely suppressing an animalistic victory cry...

It is a good thing I supressed that victory cry, friends, for had I not I would have looked very foolish (in addition to stressing my intercostal cartilage) when the package refused to yield, and laughed off my efforts.

"Alright", I thought. "I've some more tricks up my sleeve." I reclaimed the scissors and set to work removing the left seam of the package. An unholy snap! My scissors lay broken, and my arm (not my hand, ladies and gentlemen, but my ARM) was slowly welling up dark, rich blood in the deep gouge left, presumably, by the flying bit of brittle plastic which the package had flung at me, to protect itself against my insistent slicing.

I retreated to the bathroom, treated and dressed my wound, and crept back, warily, to the field of battle. The package lay on my bed, looking quite battered, yet smug and very self-satisfied. I live alone. Today, there will be no reinforcements. Knowing that all the hopes of my discharged Xbox 360 controller batteries depended on my efforts and my efforts alone, I crawled to the scissors on the floor, and fell back immediately to a safe distance to plan my next attack.

I decided that where guile had failed, boldness might succeed. I would cut directly down the center of the front side of the package: straight through the heart of the renegade guardian of my Quick Charge Kit. I did so, with speed and precision comparable to that of a feline ninja... or at least a fat guy with a serious grudge against a plastic shell. The gash was glorious. No fewer than 4 inches long, and terminating below the product within, so that even if the package proves unusually hardy, I will almost certainly pry the fault apart far enough to retrieve the device within. I placed one hand on the right seam, and the other near the bottom of the new gash, of which I'd made a gift to my adversary, and pull will all my strength. My ribs glow white hot, filling the room with excruciating brightness and my consciousness with a pain the likes of which I hope never to know again. I drop the package onto the bed, and stumble back to my chair, falling backward into it.

As I lay here, maybe dying, I reflect on that final sequence of mistakes... which ONE, if any, could have saved my life and sanity, had I only not made it... Was it my choice to use scissors instead of fire? Was it my hubris-fueled insistence upon opening the package with my own efforts, just because I am 25 and an adult who should be able to fend for himself, where I might have simply left it aside until I next visited my parents four states away, and then, tail tucked firmly betwixt my thights, I could have asked mommy to do it. Was it my decision to buy this product in the first place? Who can say, for certain?

My musing continues... if I recover from my injuries, how will I respond? Do I launch another assault on the dread unopenable package? Do I crown it the prince of my home, swear eternal fealty, and begin designing a new flag to represent the sheer dominance and magnificence of this mighty blister pack?

But one thing, gentle reader, is certain: you can learn from my experience. Just say no to inaccessibly-packaged consumer goods! It's not too late. *cough* *cough*

Avenge... me...

This item is a must have for the Xbox 360 gamer. You can charge two battery packs at the same time. You'll always have a couple charged up for when you have company come over to play games.

It's easy to use, and it's small enough to be out of the way. The battery just snaps into place, and the lights let you know if it's charging or fully charged. Even if you have a play and charge kit, this comes in handy.

It comes with one battery.

Batteries will charge in just a few hours.

Highly recommended.

I bought two different versions of these glasses. The other one can be found for $27 and is made by the company, they feature an orange stripe on the outer edges.

Out of the two, I would have thought the more expensive version (these glasses) would have been better however the opposite ended up being true. These glasses are well made, but heavy and quite uncomfortable. They are made worse by the fact that the frame doesnt hide behind your peripheral vision, meaning you see the frame while you wear them. ON the flip side the cheaper pair that I mentioned earlier is lighter, far more comfortable and covers nearly all of your field of view. This means while gaming or using the computer, you forget that you are wearing the glasses. They hug the face and cover the eyes completely.

Great brand, great glasses but I recommend the cheaper lighter model if you are getting this for function and not style.

It worked really well for the first week or so, but then it started to malfunction. We had the option to send it in and get fixed, but i was expecting that to happen in several months, not weeks.

Although there was shipping issue, it was not the company's fault and they were quick to correct the problem. This was bought for my son, so I have not used it. He would have let me know if there was anything not right. He waited a long time to get a controller like this and really likes it.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program Ever since my son got his first Turtle Beach headset several years ago, it is the only brand he really wants to use. We've tried some cheaper models in the meantime but he always returns to this brand for the following reasons:

Sound: The sound on this headset is exceptional.

Microphone: Wireless chat is easy.

Accessories: Comes with everything you need.

Comfort: It is lightweight and fits comfortably over the ears

While not the cheapest headset out there, it is true that "you get what you pay for". For a serious gamer, this is a great headset with the versatility to be able to be used on different gaming systems as well as with iPod or phone.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program These are pretty good headphones that I'll break down in a minute. But here's the 'executive summary' for those short on attention spans. These headphones excel at flexibility and I really love that about them. It's incredible to have a set of quality gaming headphones that can pipe in your phone, mix in your own music, and work pretty flawlessly across anything you can think of (phone, PS3, XBox, Mac, PC). If you plan on using them heavily for things outside of gaming, you'll probably find them a bit too unbalanced in the lows, but that's completely alright. They should be; games (and voices) sound incredible through them. Think of them more as gaming headphones you can use if you want, not all-around mavericks. And now, details!

BUILD: 3/5

This is the one letdown of the area. For this high of a price, I was expecting higher quality components. The actual build quality is high, but the cans remain fraught with plastic and faux leather. It's really my only sticking point. The 'ears' (?) rotate so they can lay flat, but it would be nice if they had came with a case. I haven't tried to remove the cool-looking Spectre things on the side since I manage to destroy everything I try to take apart.

SOUND: 5/5 for gaming, 4/5 for music

The inline amplifier is pretty slick. It's nice to be able to adjust a bunch of stuff (volume, bass, treble, you hearing yourself, mic volume) easily on the fly. I plugged them into my Macbook to see if I still had the same adjustment while rockin' out and I couldn't. Ahhhh well, looks like they'll remain purpose-driven. Again, a bit disappointing in the lows categories when listening to music, but AWESOME for hearing small things in games. It really makes them come to life!

COMFORT: 4/5

I found them a bit tight. Not so tight that they're uncomfortable, just tight enough to always let you know they're present. The padded headband's a really nice touch.

MIC: 5/5

YES! THANK YOU TURTLE BEACH! I'm tired of terrible boom mics that act like springs and are garbage. Not only is this thing crystal clear for listeners, it's essentially a wire that you can bend and adjust every which way. You should be pitching THIS!

SETUP: 5/5

I added this as a category because I had an older set of Thrustmaster PS3 headphones that you needed an advanced engineering degree from MIT to get up and running. A little 'quick start' guide is included (as well as more wires than you can imagine, though conveniently labeled) to tell you how to wire these beasts to everything. REALLY simple -something not too easy to accomplish for some reason on systems these days, especially the PS3.

In all, I'm pretty happy with them! I'm also hoping that -since they're wired -they'll have an easier time working with the PS4 (yet to be determined), too. If you're a serious gamer that cares about their headphones (and I assume you are or you wouldn't be eyeing a set of $200 gaming 'phones), these should do the trick for quite some time and leave you pretty dag gone happy!

*UPDATE* -This thing rocks so well at voice that I've begun using it for video conferencing/work as well. It really is that good.

Best Deals for Turtle Beach Call of Duty: Ghosts Ear Force Spectre Limited Edition

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program While I typically prefer Turtle Beach's excellent wireless headsets, I elected to give this wired headset a try. In most respects, I'm happy I did.

Setup is a breeze on a PC and a Mac. This is becoming more common, but it's still a huge plus. The challenge is that to get to the point where you can enjoy this simplicity, you nearly become engulfed in a spaghetti monster of wires. Granted that's how wired headsets work, but there are so many wires included it ceases to be a benefit and becomes a real pain.

The sound quality and comfort are where they need to be, but the quality of materials continue a declining trend Turtle Beach has been on. Remember, this is a $200 product. $200 gets you a lot these days, and well, this isn't really it.

Execution is generally solid with lengthy breakaway cords, removable mics, etc, but the mess of these same cords makes a mess of everything. Get the wireless. The sound quality and comfort are on par with this, and if you shop around (look for older models with 5ghz radios, even refurbs) the price is no more--maybe even less.

Honest reviews on Turtle Beach Call of Duty: Ghosts Ear Force Spectre Limited Edition

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program As a DJ and avid gamer I'm always in the market for new and decent quality headphones. I've owned and used many headsets over the years (a few Turtle Beach) and there always seems to be something new for PC, gaming consoles, mobile devices and DJing. As I always enjoy testing out new headphones here are my thoughts on the Turtle Beach Call of Duty: Ghosts Ear Force Spectre Limited Edition Gaming Headset;

Pros

+ Earcups fit firmly and comfortably over your ears.

+ Multi-platform use (XBox 360, PS3, PC, Mac and mobile devices).

+ All volume, treble, bass and mic controls are adjustable via the control box on the cable.

+ Dynamic Chat Boost is extremely helpful when playing multiplayer/co-op FPS games where there are a lot of explosions. Being able to hear an enemy approaching or a teammate warning you in tense combat situations is invaluable.

+ Microphone is detachable which allows use with all of your portable devices.

+ Comfortably padded and easy to wear for long periods, even with glasses.

+ Excellent sound and mic quality.

+ Decent noise isolation.

+ Lightweight and sturdy construction.

+ Lengthy main USB cord.

+ Sleek and nicely designed packaging.

Cons

Build quality of plastic and leather synthetic is a bit disappointing considering the price tag. I would have at least liked to have seen some metal components similar to the V-MODA Crossfade M-100 Over-Ear Noise-Isolating Metal Headphone (Matte Black Metal).

Control remote on the cable is a bit larger than it needs to be. It's always falling off of my computer tower at the slightest pull even with it clipped to something.

I found the actual arch of the headset to be a bit too tight after a while which is odd considering I have a smaller head. I can't imagine this being very comfortable for extended periods of time for someone with a larger head.

Steep price point of $199.99.

At the $199 range, the Turtle Beach Call of Duty: Ghosts Ear Force Spectre Limited Edition Gaming Headset for the most part justifies the asking price. The audio quality is excellent and the adjustable controls allow you to find just the right balance to fit your gameplay or listening style. Every video game I've played so far has had crisp and clear highs, mids and lows without ever sounding dull, distant or hollow. I've been playing multiple games (Borderlands 2, Outlast, Bioshock Infinite, Dead Island Riptide) with all resulting in quality sound. I've also used the headset with multiple tablets, mobile phones and portable gaming devices to listen to music and play games with equally respectable sound quality. Finally I thought I'd put them to the ultimate test in sound quality. Good old fashion vinyl on the Technics 1200 turntables. The headset shined here also combined with the ability to adjust the bass, mid and treble on the mixer in addition to the individual headset controls. Using the headset for phone calls was nice and clear so they're easy to recommend for that purpose. I feel that the current asking price for the Turtle Beach Call of Duty: Ghosts Ear Force Spectre Limited Edition Gaming Headset is a slightly high at the moment but justifiable for the sound quality you're getting. Personally I feel that this headset would be a well worthy investment for all your gaming and music needs.

I just got this headset today, so everything i am saying is just my first impression. Maybe in the future i will get used to these things. First, the earcups are very hard, and don't go over your ears. I am used to the x12 headset where they go nicely over your ears. Second, the part where you change the game and chat volume is huge! This is also compared to the x12 headset, but the picture on amazon is very deceiving. There isn't much noise cancellation with the headset, but since i'm waiting for Black Ops 2 to come out, i have not yet heard the sound quality on the headset. Now for the cosmetic stuff. The earcups feel very cheap, and they flop around very easily. The wire connecting the two ears is very noticeable and you can see the glue keeping it together. Overall, if your getting this for the cushons or the looks, perhaps this isnt the headset for you. P.S. the cloth wires are badass, so not everything is displeasing....

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

EDIT... Okay, so its been a day since i wrote this review. I decided to take them out of the box to try the sound and to really feel em on my head. I have to say, the sound quality is much better than the x12s. i own the x12, x11, and z2. And another thing. in the review i said that the cushons didn't fit around my head properly and they were hard to the touch, now, as i write this, i'm wearing the headset and i am noticing that they actually do fit perfectly around my ears. With the x12's, the earcups were really big so there was a lot of room in my ear area, with these, they just fit around my ears and the noise cancellation with music is much better than what i previously stated.

Pros: Ears are surprisingly comfortable after a day of hate.

Sound quality is amazing compared to the headsets i stated before.

Braided wire is amazing looking and feels quite durable.

Color scheme is cool, and reminds me of Halloween, a Halloween that Sandy has ruined for me lol.

Says Black Ops 2 on top of the headset.

The volume can go quite high if you want to have ear surgery.

Only has a Usb plug and a headphone plug, unlike the x12 that needs a usb, headphone, and microphone plug.

Cons:

Earcups feel hollow and made with cheap plastic.

They feel flimsy even though im sure they wont snap on me.

Braided wire is a bit heavy, so i rest it on my lap.

We purchased this as a Christmas gift December 2012. Around April 2013 the unit failed. It was hardly used. We contacted them and they said 30 day warranty! We paid $122.99 for this "Special Blacks Ops ii" unit. We will never support Turtle Beach. If Turtle Beach cares they will exchange it for my child. Do the right thing Turtle Beach. We cant afford to buy another.

Honest reviews on Turtle Beach Call of Duty: Black Ops II KILO Limited Edition Stereo

My boyfriend is the type of guy that "has it all" so for the holiday season, i was stumped when it came to getting him a gift--especially after his parents were giving him a gaming gift certificate! So while i was looking for the game his that recently has peaked his interest, i noticed this little number and i was stoked! He had broken his last turtle beach head phones and was currently gaming with a headset that only had one functioning ear phone. After reading the reviews, i was a bit skeptical about the material and durability of this headset. I considered the item time and again until i finally purchased it on a whim! Once he opened his gift, i could see his excitement and gratitude etched along his face; he fessed up to it being his favorite christmas gift. At that moment, i knew i had gotten him the perfect gift. He loves the quality of the head set, the color and the material were just exquisite! I would highly recommend this product to anyone seeking the ultimate headset with enough extension cord to play across a mid sized room. You will be satisfied with the sound quality and the amazing features featured in this head set! Not to mention it arrived promptly at my doorstep with the packaging box also in great condition.

this game was good on psx, it got better on dreamcast

Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>

This is the best Dreamcast game. Ever. Period.

Everything about this game is superbly done....graphics, playability, control....unbelievable.

The PSX version (never played it) was good from what I heard, so at the time I had just gotten a Dreamcast and I noticed this game was out for it....so I picked it up and i was instantly sucked in to the world of Nosgoth. You don't believe me, just get to the edge of the pit Raziel was thrown into in the opening cinema and look down. Unreal!!!

Not only does this game look good, but it plays like a dream....no quibbles whatsoever about the control, except the occasional mess-up trying to claw into blocks trying to move them around. Actually, if this game had a flawthat would be the only one....the tedious nature of the many blocks puzzles....especially in the level with those dad-gum white spider enemies....!

The difficulty of the game is right up there too....nothing to turn your nose up at, you have to be on your toes.

As for the length of the game? Depending on if you try to get all the glyphs and health pieces....expect to take upwards of 25 hours to beat this game. I'm a perfectionist, so the first time through this one I took a good 35 hours....

Overall, 10 out of 10. I rarely give a perfect score....so this is definitely one game you can't pass up on....and now for less than 10 bucks, it sure is a steal!

It is not clear, it is white.

Overall good, but I wish they said white. You can see barely see through it. It does keep the controller clean though. Obviously it does not cover the buttons, but you can clean those with rubbing alcohol or whatever.

Just changing it to four stars. I was looking at my review and the only thing I didn't like about it was how it was not clear. It doesn't really matter that much. So I added a star.

This ISN'T a clear skin. It is opaque and somewhat on the thick side compared to other skins -"sleeve" is an accurate description. If you are looking for a thicker skin, it would be awesome. I prefer a thinner skin most of the time, but did find it great for "deathmatch"-type scenarios where grip is everything.

This sleeve is very comfortable, makes your 360 controller more grippy and softer and also gives it a cool milky-clear color as shown in the pictures.

Bought this sleeve in "clear" and "black" to replace some stick-on gel pads that finally unstuck themselves. Makes the controller more comfortable to hold and keeps things clean, without leaving any kind of stickiness behind.

Both colors are semi-transparent, the black (on a white controller) is a very dark grey due to the transparency. The "clear" is a milky color, certainly not solid white, and on a white controller is very nearly clear-looking. Might be an interesting effect on a colored controller. Slightly concerned about the pointy cut-outs around the button area, wonder if eventually they will curl, but otherwise excellent product.

A couple of months ago, I was sitting in my room playing NBA Live 2003, perfectly happy with the game that I had. It was simple, the graphics were pretty, and the game was generally fun. Then I met up with ESPN NBA Basketball. I was shocked at how much better it was than NBA Live 2003 or 2004. The sound was incredible, the gameplay was awesome, and the graphics were indescribably terrific! New this year is 24/7 mode, which will keep you busy well, 24/7. It lets you make a player, and then you go face to face with pros in all sorts of events, from normal 1-on-1, to Bomb Ball. You start out as a playground hotshot, and you build until you are the best streetball player out there! Trust me, this thing is a whole game in itself. What's even cooler is that it's run by your PS2's clock. At night, the courts and events change, and at night, you can play historic game, where you go up against legends like Larry Bird or Clyde Drexler. The streetball courts are awesome, and I think that this is better than the amazing NBA Street game by EA. Also, I was happy that all the rosters were updated, because I am a huge Denver Nuggets fan, and this year they have new uniforms and about halfof their team is new, including Carmelo Anthony and Andre Miller. ESPN the world wide leader in sports.I love espn2K4 and now that it's july I still find myself playing through a franchise. The crossover moves are only difficult when you have a poor ballhandler.Live 2004 freestyle is in my opinion just about the same. You can get pass by using the crossover button instead of the right analog. The camera angles could've had a zoom though.

The only problem is the easy competition I go 82-0 in a season that's almost impossible.I've had close calls but that's about it the 24/7 is great once you have earned enogh points your stats will stay the same if you don't play.24/7 can be difficult but practice makes perfect and going head to head with a legend can be tough if your attributes are crap.Overall this game is better than NBA live to me and I'm waiting for 2K5. I really hope ESPN add another difficulty level I need the opponents to bring their A+ game!!!!!!!!

Best Deals for ESPN NBA Basketball

Well let me start off by saying this is by far the best overall basketball game I have ever played. It took last years game which in my opinion was the best game on the market at the time and made it even better. The game was virtually unmatched by any of the other 2004 basketball games when it came to extra modes such as 24/7 and street mode, and was really just in a league of it's own when it came to graphics, But there is always room for improvement and that's why I had to give this game a four because the game could have been better. First of all how can you have a game with Kareem Abdul-Jabar and not have any shot that even resembled a hook. Second how can you have a NBA Superstars team with no Michael Jordan I mean I know he's expensive but trust me he's worth every penny. The other things I would change are real small, for instance why not add in a few more dunks you can have the most realistic looking dunks but if the game repeats the same three dunks over and over again who ever is playing will eventually get board. Another real small thing is being able to edit players a little more. At least is my case I like to do a lot of trades to keep up with the updated NBA rosters and from time to time I'll trade for a guy and his number is already in use, so he'll end up with sum odd number like 63, I'd like to be able to just go in a pick a better number. But overall great game just keep on improving... Oh but wait there was just one more thing bothering me you couldn't find a single player better than Drazen Petrovic to be on the 90's east team? come on!

Best Deals for Star Wars Darth Vader Empire Vinyl Decal Skin Protector Cover #11

There aren't a lot of books depicting Vader in his put down the rebellion stage as the dark lord being first on the field to lead the storm troopers into battle. The ominous figure is cast as either a liberator or destroyer, dependent on how you view the political regime of the empire. This decal can be placed on very easily, what I did differently than how the instructions described was a sponge with soap water squezzed almost dry and lightly slid across the sticky side of the decal to make it less sticky before applying to my PS3. Very easy and it looked great. Highly recommend to purchase, if you like cool Star Wars drawings or just like an epic battle scene which can let your imagination run wild. Like buying a mega lottery ticket, only it serves a practical purpose of protecting your expensive PS3 that kids touch when they come by.

I was looking for something to give my XBox more stability in the upright position. This is a pretty good item but maybe a little overpriced. Cost me just under $30 to get it, seems more like a $20 item. Could have gotten the blue at that price point but the color did not appeal to me. So lets get started.

ArrivalWhen I get the item it is in a very impressive, heavily constructed box. The packaging on this item has got to be a significant part of the price. The pieces are wrapped in plastic wrap which has left kind of a mottling on the pieces. I was able to get that off by wiping it w/ windex but I did not attain the kind of sheen seen in the promo pics. Probably need some kind of polish to get that. There are 4 main pieces, the base, left and right sides, and the controller holder. You don't have to install the controller holder if you don't want to. Good thing since I didn't want to, I thought as much looking at the product pics but if anyone else is wondering the same thing, there's your answer. If you want to lay your xbox flat the controller holder is the right height and on the right side for you to be able to do that. Unfortunately the base is all one piece construction so you will have two of those legs sticking up in the air.

AssemblyPretty easy. My only problem has to do with the screws. If you look closely at the promo pics you will see a silver bar across the top, that is a threaded aluminum tube, there is a matching one on the back. You put the two clamshell pieces around your xbox hold the metal bar in place and hand screw plastic screws into each side. Did I say plastic? Yes I did. Additionally the manufacturing quality on the aluminum tubes isn't the highest. One side of one of the tubes was determined to crossthread, after 6 or so tries with all the different screws I let it have its way and forced the plastic screw in.

Final ThoughtsMy XBox is very stable now. Since the case ends up recessing the touch buttons a little I can actually look at my XBox without the disc ejecting. It does not seem to interfere with any of the ports on the XBox. While the individual pieces are made from pressed plastic they seem to be well made with no detectable burrs or scratches. Unless I was lucky their QC is pretty good.(They probably outsource those aluminum tubes)

This is a great addition to your Xbox 360 if you keep your console standing. It provides great support and also adds a noticeable increase in air flow to help with cooling. The packaging is awesome and each piece is well protected. I purchased the black version, but the other color options are really cool for fitting your console to your gaming style. As I add more consoles to my home I will be casing them with the Vault.

This is a reasonably price, easy to assemble, and stable stand for your Xbox. I no longer worry about the console tipping over when in its upright position, and the extra lift off the surface increases ventilation.

Review of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4 PS

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4 PS
Customer Ratings: 4 stars

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4 for the PS1 is a very well designed game. You can now, on the new Go Pro feature, choose which goals you want to complete. No more long checklists of goals you have to complete in 2:00. You can now take all the time you want to explore a level before doing a goal. This is one of the good qualities of the PS1 version, but, for every good quality, there is dissapointingly a bad quality.

One very bad quality is that all the levels are now designed in some kind of 70's/80's era where there are no bold lines. This have never looked this way on Tony Hawk games. The first level, College, is designed to look more real and like the PS2 version, well, the fact of the matter is, it can never look anything like the PS2 version because it is PS1. The makers of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater have stupidly tried to expand PS1 graphics furthur than they can go. On the Alkatraz level, when you are going into a different area, you have to skate through a black pit that mysteriously takes you to the other side of where you are going, this does not look real. Another awful problem Tony Hawk 4 is having is one that all of the Tony Hawks have had, when you go to 2-player mode the levels get smaller. Even though this has always been a problem, it has never been this bad. I must admit that when i went to 2-player mode i thought my PS1 had defaulted, there is nowhere to skate. The sky disappears mysteriously and all the secret skate spots are gone. Another question i have been wondering is why does it say on this products description that you can 'Skich on the back of a car', let me ask this website one question: HOW DO YOU 'SKICH ON THE BACK OF A CAR' WHEN THERE ARE NO CARS! HOW DO YOU SKATE THROUGH TRAFFIC WHEN THERE IS NO TRAFFIC! These are bad marketing problems, if you didn't know better, you'd buy this game thinking you could do those things when you can't. And what the heck happened to the PRE-MADE SKATEPARKS. They are the same ones that were in Tony Hawk 2.

I think that the Tony Hawk games have gone in a tragic decline since THPS2. Sony needs to understand that they should not keep bringing these games out for PS1. The majority of gamers have a PS2, X Box, or GameCube already so what is the point? I have listed how i think the Tony Hawk games for PS1 rank in order of how GOOD they are:

1. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater The original and my favorite of the PS1 Tony Hawk games.

2. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 Designed wonderfully, great level layout, tons of new features, awesome!

3. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4 New features, new design, not that many new options.

4. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 Poor design, no new options or features, no new design, awful gameplay, not a good Tony Hawk.

i got this game for chistmas last year. it is fun but a little hard.

GRAPHICS 10/10

you can see every thing very clearly at all times

SOUND 10/10

it sounds like a real skateboarder skating

DIFFICULTY 10/10

it has goals that range from newbie to pro skill levels

the object of the game is to collect goalpoints and move to different levels.I have beaten most of this game but so far there have been no skiching on cars or skating through traffic.this game is worth every cent you pay for it. you do not need a strategy book to beat it.it may be hard at first but after you get out of college it gets really fun. dont worry after you pass a level you can explore before you try carrer mode

When Majesco released Zumba Fitness for the Kinect in 2010, by most accounts it was a groaner. It was clear that the game had been rushed to market to try to cash in on the Kinect launch. The result was a sloppy and forgettable game. In 2011, they made amends by releasing Zumba Fitness Rush. This version added much better motion tracking, real Zumba personalities like Beto and Gina Grant, an improved tutorial, and much more engaging graphics.

I'm happy to say that the newest iteration, Zumba Fitness Core, builds on the improvements and makes the game even better.

When you start off the game, you see stylized videos of a number of famous Zumba personalities, including Kass (Martin), Tanya (Beardsley), Nick (Logrea), Loretta (Bates), Gina (Grant), and Beto. Their animated counterparts will be your instructors throughout the game. While in the previous version they looked more "cartoony", with this version they're starting to almost look like the real person (almost).

Some of the options in the main menu are the same as previous versions, while others are new. They are:

"Single Song": You can choose a Single Song to jump right into dancing right away. You can scroll through songs and choose them by instructor (whom you can identify either by their picture or the color of the button), or by name, intensity (low, medium, high), genre (e.g., samba, disco, cumbia, hip-hop, etc.), or workout type (warm up, core, cardio, cardio with some core, core with some cardio, and cool down). 17 of the 33 songs are licensed tracks, and 16 are Zumba originals, an impressive ratio compared to past Zumba games. Here's a full list:

Ain't Nothing Wrong (Robert Randolph and the Family Band) Pop

Alegria Pa Zumbar (Zumba Original) Samba

Bailamos (Enrique Iglesias) Pop Salsa

Balans (K-liber4life) Reggaeton

Bem Vindos (Zumba Original) Brazilian Funk

Boogie Shoes (Juptier) Disco

Brokenhearted (Karmin) Jazz

Crazy Love (Mara) Samba Techno

Cumbia Flow (Zumba Original) Cumia Reggaeton

Dancing With Myself (The Donnas) Pop Samba

Desert Groove (Zumba Original) Bellydance

Drop It Low (Kat DeLuna) Hip-Hop

Ella Me Copia (Zumba Original) Bachata Flemenco

For You (Zumba Original) Axe

Gati Bongo (Orchestre Baka de Gbine) African

Ho Jayegi Balle Balle (Daler Mehndi) Punjabi Bollywood

Hola My Friend (Zumba Original) Polynesian Rhythm

Jamming (Bob Marley) Reggae

Jhoom (Shankar Mahadevan) Bollywood

Jump Jive And Wail (Charlotte Swing Band) Swing

Kazachok in Habana (Zumba Original) Russian Folk

La Bomba (Zumba Original) Techno Cumbia

Las Gatitas (Zumba Original) Hip-Hop

Lift Ya Leg Up (Spice and Company) Soca Calypso

Magalenha (Carlinhos Brown) Samba Capoeira

Mirage (Naked Rhythm) Bellydance

Nyana (Tiesto) EDM

Paris (Oh La La) (Grace Potter and the Nocturnals) Rock Burlesque

Quiebra (Zumba Original) Quebradita

Roll Wid Di Don (Sean Paul) Stepping Reggaeton

Shake It (Anane featuring Mr. Vegas and Tony Touch) Hip-Hop Reggaeton

Suave (Kiss Me) (Nayer featuring Pitbull) Salsa

Sugar Plum Fairy (Ryan Franks) Ballet

Surf to the World (Zumba Original) Surf Rock

Sweet Girl (Zumba Original) Techno Merengue

Taki Contry (Zumba Original) Celtic Bluegrass

The Trip (Tres Mundos) Arabian Reggaeton

Vamos Pa'La Pista (Zumba Original) Salsa

Vem Vem (Zumba Original) Brazilian Funk

Zumba (Don Omar) Latin Pop

Each song has a venue associated with it, which you can change. The venues range from city nightclub scenes to open air stadiums to scenes reminiscent of Las Vegas, Niagara Falls, and Hawaii.

Dancing works pretty much the same as previous versions of the game. You have one Zumba instructor whom you'll mirror the moves of, reinforced by other dancers in the background doing the same moves. Animated visual cues will come on the screen to let you know to get ready for the next series of steps. You'll also see a little silhouette of your body in the lower left hand corner that you can match against the instructor. The one thing I thought was missing was some kind of status bar to tell you how much of the song was left.

Some reviews have complained that the choreography can be repetitive, but I think these fail to understand the nature of Zumba: repetition of certain "classic" dance steps is by design, as it helps make the class accessible to both beginners and advanced alike and helps people start burning calories quicker. In other words, it's an exercise program first and a dance program second. If you're looking for more elaborate choreography, I'd stick with a dance game like Dance Central or Just Dance.

I was very, very impressed by the motion detection in this game. For the most part I found the accuracy to be excellent, even down to detecting which arm and leg you're moving (something the Wii, for example, could never do). When I tried most songs for the first time I usually scored about a 50%, which was enough for 3 of 5 stars. But as I repeated the songs and started to memorize the moves, I found my score and my accuracy going higher. One other little detail they've added is that if you really mess up on a song, the instructor at the end of the song will let you know with a shrug or a little head shake, unlike previous versions where the instructor would jump up and down excitedly no matter how you did. I also really liked how I could play the game even though the Kinect sensor is only about 6-7 feet from me; with other games I have to rearrange my entire living room.

At the end of each dance you'll see your level, your score, the calories you burned, and the percentage of moves you got right. You'll also see a rating from 1 to 5 stars. You'll have the option of taking your picture (thankfully it doesn't randomly take pictures of you without your consent), as well as sharing your progress on Facebook.

"Full Class" lets you take virtual Zumba classes, which are basically single songs strung together. You can choose Short Classes (about 19-25 minutes), Mid-Length Class (about 44-48 minutes), or Full-Length Classes (about 57-62 minutes). You can also put together Custom Classes choosing your own duration and song lists. One major improvement they've made is the inclusion of low intensity songs that can help you properly warm up and stretch before exercises as well as cool down afterwards.

"Learn The Steps" is Zumba Fitness Core's tutorial section. You can learn four basic steps for Salsa, Merengue, Samba), Bollywood, Reggaeton, and Cumbia. After you select a style and a step, you need to match Beto dancing that step in slow motion. As with Dance Central his arms or legs will glow red if you're completely missing the target. Once you get the steps right you can try it in real time. The nice thing about perfecting the moves in the tutorial is that a lot of these basic steps are used throughout the songs.

"Progress Tracker" is a much improved section of the game that helps you see the progress you're making and helps keep you motivated to come back over and over. You can view running statistics of time played, accuracy, and calories burned by day, week, or month. You can also collect Xbox achievements for various set goals, as well a define goals for yourself, which you can share with your Xbox Live friends and tackle them as "Community goals". Strangely and disappointingly, it doesn't look like the game is supported by Kinect PlayFit at this time.

Overall, I was extremely impressed by what Majesco did with Zumba Fitness Core. They could have easily phoned it in and basically released the same game as Zumba Fitness Rush and still made boatloads of money. Instead, they effectively moved the platform forward with better graphics, more instructors, more songs, and more features to help incentivize you to come back to the game again and again.

This is my third Zumba game. Having lost over 50 pounds just using Zumba and some dieting tweeks, I'm completely sold on this product as an exercise tool.

What I was not convinced of, was that a cardio tool could really do any core work. Personally I do between 100-300 sit ups a day, depending on what else I'm doing. I honestly didn't think adding "core" to the title would assist with any additional "core" work. I'm happy to say, I was wrong.

I just got this product 2 days ago, so I've only done 3 routines (maybe 56 songs), but I can actually feel the workout in my core. If you're someone who doesn't enjoy floor work in order to get a core workout, this is PERFECT for you. I abhore getting down on the floor, on a mat, on a ball, etc. Gyms are dirty places, floors are dirty places; combine them and you may as well be sitting in a cess pool. So to find a workout where you can get some core work in without having to be on the ground is phenominal. I'm SO impressed.

Will it replace sit ups; probably not. But, can I foresee it doing more than just working cardio--absolutely.

I'm living proof that this franchise does what it says it'll do---it has you working out without realizing you're getting a work out. I finish the workouts drenched in sweat. And now I'm looking forward to finishing drenched in sweat and with tighter abs.

Thanks Beto and crew. You've done it again.

Just tried it the first time. thought I jump in the shallow end of the pool and tried a short session. (MISTAKE) The first jitterbug routine KICKED MY ASS.and subsequent 4 dances were slightly better. It did have a label of High intensity. So I survived the full 20 minute. Felt pretty cool. I think they have some serious Crumping inspired moves. great for the core. So I move to the longer session next, it was 44 minutes. This one is labeled medium intensity. A lot better. It's a whole workout in one. including warm ups and cool down, And it's so diverse! from what I see, (I'm no dance major, so pls forgive me if my terms are incorrect)Boot Camp type martial arts move, Paso Doble, Hip Hop, Rock. aerobics, belly dancing, the aforementioned crumping and some folk dances of various global origins. So I don't think one will be easily bored by this game. I do like this better than Dance Central 2, DC2 does not have the same intensity like this game. This will keep you at high intensity for a longer duration. But one have to get over looking silly. Especially for a guy.

4th session Update.

It's even more surprisingly diverse. I have one song of Ballet, Irish Jig, and some country type square dancing, not to mentioned some good ol fashion Russian Dance. It's a lot of fun. I'm sub 200lb guy trying to lose weight, by a website calculation, I lose around 700 calories per session of medium intensity workout. pretty amazing.

After 3 sessions, it gets easier after. I got some 5 stars songs already.

By the way when you are in full cardio mode, your problem area (fatty area) get real cold to the touch. I found out that this game makes your core workout a lot harder. I don't feel the belly getting cold during Kickboxing sessions, but in here. It was ice cold, so the game makes you dig deeper to get toned. Interesting.

After 9 sessions, I went to the Gym today and I can crunch twice the weight that I can before I started Zumba, I was crunching 80lb comfortably, now I can crunch 160 lb after 9 sessions(30 reps * 3). really works so far.

After 12 sessions, Did a 1 hour long class on high intensity, beat it. and 73% score. Tummy 60-70% gone. Back arch above the small of the back is arched more. Addicted and doing it daily.

Beat the game (all 1 hour long session completed with 5 stars ratings) after 45 days.

5 months update, No longer doing it on the Xbox, I've regularly attending live Zumba classes 2-3 times a week, In the front row, dancing on the stage with the instructor! lost 36 lbs, Fit in a waist size 33 inch jeans, (from waist size 38)Starting to do insanity, and yoga and pilates and biking and swimming...Phew. All because of starting from this one little program.

Honest reviews on Zumba Fitness Core - Xbox 360

I received my Zumba core yesterday, The music is better than previous games but many of the dance steps are the same in each song, not much new cretivity in choreography. If you've bought other Zumba Kinect games , you might want to wait because the only difference is the kicking that builds the core. I don"t regret buying it because I was getting bored with the Zumba Rush routines, The kinect seems to be more responsive. Graphics are great. They have calories in the game but you don't add your weight or height so how accurate can it be. The biggest disappointment is you can"t take the dlcs with you from the other game like you can do with Dance Central. A definite buy if you didn't buy Kinect Zumba Rush.
