I can honestly say I am like a kid on Christmas when a 007 game is released. It's something about the 007 theme that makes you feel as if you are really a secret agent. I've been playing the 007 games since Rare came out with the infamous Goldeneye on the N64 and I haven't stopped since. With that said: let's get to the review.

The Graphics:

are simply underdone. I remember when Blood Stone came out a couple of years ago and I was in awe of the graphics even on my then non-HD Television. I put in 007: Legends and I am shaking my head on my new television. My HD Television looks weak with this game. The shading looks pitiful as do the scenery. The game reminds me of the last generation graphics on the PS2 and Xbox. Basic. Blotchy. There's pixelation on the top of the screen. (Note: this is not my television.) The only thing that might save the game's graphics is Daniel Craig's face but even then its not near as impressive. The developers did not try and push the graphics that are so common for today's games.

The Gameplay:

The gameplay is very sketchy at best. There seems to be no flow to the game. I have played on the middle difficult of Agent and it felt like I could never get to that sweet spot. The AI changes so rapidly and inconsistently that is it hard to find a middle ground. I enjoy hard games but this game was just making me frustrated with it's poor gameplay. The AI's are also very strong for their type and theres no seconds to catch your breath before a hit marker pops up on your HUD. Even on Operative, I still felt the inconsistency. The AI's are also very generic and say the same phrases over and over, "He's wounded!". At the end of one of the five phases that are the movies, my head hurt and I had to step away. Now onto the environment... it does not feel like 007. It feels like a very cookie cutter map. You can only really blow up barrels. There's no 007 stunts that make you think, "Hey, Daniel Craig would do that in the movie." You also use your camera for practically everything which is okay but it's interesting at times to try and figure out what you are doing with the different settings. The guns are a saving grace. The customization on the guns allow you to change up what you are doing at key points and add attachments that can really help cut down some AI when you can lock onto them.

The length is quite decent and you keep going through the side objectives and the like.

The Story:

The storylines are the best part of the game and I feel like the developers wanted to keep the same feel of the movies in the game. I feel like they have accomplished this and I did enjoy seeing the famous 007 scenes. However, I wish there was more of a tease of Skyfall. I know that Skyfall is supposed to come out as a separate DLC but I guess it would be easier for them to just release the game with Skyfall included in a few weeks... but hey more bucks down the road.

Multiplayer:

I wanted to like the multiplayer on Xbox Live but I just couldn't. The graphics are pretty terrible and the movement feels like you have something blocking your path when you run. (Like In COD: Black Ops when someone runs too close to you and you slow down.) The same customization really exists in multiplayer as it does in the campaign but it doesen't leave much to the imagination. I feel like this is a rehashed second gen Goldeneye again. It is also quite choppy gameplay that leaves you shaking you head.

Pros:

Length

The classic story

Gun customization in campaign.

Cons:

Terrible graphics

Choppy gameplay

Inconsistent AI

Fight Scenes that you either make it or break it and get reset back.

Multiplayer very slow and non-imaginative.

At timesvery boring.

Bottom Line-

I just do not think that this game is the best that it can be. 007 is such an epic franchise with so many beautiful moments (and women) and I think that Eurocom gave a half attempt at it to bank some money. I hate to say it but I think that the remade Goldeneye made actually be even better than this game. I can only give it 2 stars as it just doesn't make you feel the way that 007 should make you feel.

Thanks for reading.

I went into this game knowing that it wouldn't be the best game that I've every played. It doesn't disappoint. If you're looking for a quick, fun James Bond adventure, this isn't it. The graphics tear frequently, the AI is bad in all of the worst ways and unnecessary stealth elements are littered throughout. The only good part about the game is that the shooting mechanics are decent.

The story is all right, consisting of James Bond reliving a few of his missions. Goldfinger, On Her Majesty's Secret Service, License to Kill, Moonraker and Die Another Day make up this trip through memory lane. Each has been updated with a modern coat of paint, such as the implementation of computers and cellphones throughout.

To make matters worse, the publisher has lost the rights to the content so I believe that the Skyfall story content isn't available to download any more.

While this isn't the worst James Bond game I've ever played, it's up there. I would recommend the great James Bond game, Bloodstone, instead.

I was very excited to play this game.... I'm a long time 007 fan, and I absolutely loved the Goldeneye remake! The first missions of this game are pretty promising, and the overall feel is pretty similar to the other recent Bond games. Unfortunately, this game jumps around so much and offers so little in the way of challenge, that it falls flat on it's face for the pre-mature ending.

PROS

Good graphics

Great music and sound

Excellent Production Value

CONS

Repetitive

Easy

Short

Awful Narrative

Abrupt Ending

I love this game. I totally understand where many of the negative reviews are coming from...but as a person who only plays games once in a great while, I must say that I thoroughly enjoy this title.

It's easy to learn and you can just jump right in a play for ten mins or 5 hrs and not get bored...granted, if I played 5 hrs a day every day for a couple weeks this game would get old REAL fast...but it's certainly a solid game with good graphics.

If you are a Star Wars fan but not a gamer (as I am), this is a great game for you.

All in all it's an alright game with lots of fun things to do and shot. Many of the different vehicles you can use if you can find them and there are a variety of different weapons and people to use. However, Do NOT count on being darth Vador or Luke or any of the other main characters other than Chewy, He's the only one you can be. There aren't any Jedi knights you can be, or not that I have found as of yet. The overall game is difficult but interesting and tends to keep your attention. I was very pleased with the sniper view on some of the people you can use, however enemies when very close up seem to disappear and re-appear all over the place.

The graphics and movies are good, wouldn't say the best, but they are good.

All in all if you like shooting and blowing stuff up, and enjoy the Star wars movies and idea, then this game would be a good addition to your collection.

Good luck and happy hunting...

I'm not a Star Wars fan, but this game is so much fun. I haven't had this much fun on a game for a long time.

GOOD:

There are so many vehicles to use. There are also some cool characters....and jetpacks. The levels are creative and the "capture the base" style play keeps respawn play strategic. Playing with so many bots gives a big battle feel that I haven't experienced in a game. Also, there are many details from the SW movies that are added into the levels.

BAD:

The online servers aren't set up very well. It's hard to find a game with a friend, or any specific room at all. Also, some of the blaster guns trail way behind your crosshairs and this gets annoying. As with any online shooter there are occasional teamkillers.

If you like first person shooters and/or Star Wars than get this game. It seems that Lucas Arts is releasing online patches quite often to fix all the problems in this game.

Honest reviews on Star Wars Battlefront - PlayStation 2

Hi there. It's The Reverend again reviewing Star Wars Battlefront (SWB).

First of, I'm a big fan of the Star Wars Universe, so this is where this review may be a tad subjective. But I am also pretty sure that even if I had never heard of it before, I'd still love this game.

Second, I don't play multiplayer at all, so I can't tell you what SWB's multiplayer mode is like.

Now let's go:

In my opinion SWB is the answer to the prayers of Star Wars fans throughout the world. You get to choose from a bucket-load of battles to play. From the icy wastes of Hoth to the lush forests of Endor, from the battle around the palace in Theed (Naboo) to the domed cities above Kamino's oceans you can join every battle you have witnessed in the movies.

The variety of unit types you can choose from as well as the amount of different tactics and strategies that each class implies is KILLER! I mean that in an entirely positive way. The variety may seem overwhelming in the beginning so that you may want to stick with a certain character class just to get the hang of the game, controls, strategy, etc.

But let me tell you: you're going to appreciate the incredible vastness of possibilities later on it keeps the game fresh for weeks and weeks and months and some more months. I've been playing SWB like a maniac and I still go: "DUH!" every once in a while when I remember special abilities of a certain character class I completely forgot about:

Example:

The Rebel Vanguard not only has a powerful rocket launcher, but can also secure captured command posts or his own butt with mines around him.

The Pilot class can repair vehicles, gun turrets, space ships and gadgets on the go. So don't board an x-wing without him or it'll be a short flight. He can also drop ammo and health packs which, of course, he can use for himself, too (man I kept forgetting that again and again complaining about how weak the character is outside a ship)

The Sniper can also send out a droid into a cluster of enemies, who serves as a homing-beacon for orbital ion-cannons...

And so on. It would completely blow the proportions of this review to explain the myriad of classes in detail. But they come in four different categories: Rebels vs. Empire, Republic (Clones) vs. Separatists (Droid army).

Each of the 4 factions provides different classes such as: regular soldier, sniper (special agent), heavy weapons expert (rocket launcher), pilot and special character (such as Wookie, Killer Droid, Dark Trooper). Each of these comes with at least 3-4 different weapons equipped (including anti-personnel and armor piercing grenades), some of which have different firing modes! The special characters even sport unique weapons while the Wookie has a grenade launcher and bowcaster and the Killer Droid sports rapid fire twin lasers and an almost impenetrable energy shield, the Dark Trooper uses a jet-pak to fire down from high above or snipe down from buildings! Now add special abilities that come with most classes and you have plenty to choose from and to experiment with. Did I mention the special non-playable characters you'll meet local species like: Gungans, Ewoks, Tusken Raiders, Wookies... and yes you can shoot them too depending on which side you're on or which mood you're in (watch out for that "traitor"-rating in the debriefing, haha). Here's the best: you're also gonna meet some of the Jedi/Sith at times. Meet Darth Vader, Mace Windu, Luke Skywalker and Count Dooku on the battlefields. Man, I never saw that coming. Here I was dancing around merrily inside the igloo on Uncle Owen's farm on Tatooine (I had just captured the command post all by myself) when out of a sudden I hear this noise... shot circuit? A defunct toaster? A bad karaoke show? No, it sounds more like a darned light saber right behind me. Next thing I know is I'm dead and the death cam shows good old Darth swinging happily on with his Jedi-toothpick. Was I bummed? No, I burst out laughing and wowing. What an honor to be killed by the best!!! :-) It's not just about winning, it's about being there, having fun and experimenting.

And experiment you will! Because you will die a lot in the beginning! Here you are NOT the ultimate hero running across the battlefield like Rambo seemingly unharmed by bullets or his lack of brain cells. No Sir, here you are just General XY, who may be smarter than the computer AI around but just as vulnerable as every other Private on the battlefield. So watch your butt out there! Get ready to die a lot in the beginning! A LOT! But once you get the hang of the game (give it 1-3 hours) you'll die a lot less and you'll probably finish one battle with very few characters (you respawn after you die and you may choose where you want to respawn and which character class you want to be next!) or just one. It's frustrating at times when you just had a good thing going, but you'll get over it and probably get to like playing different classes within the same battle so you can say: hey I bravely fought along the frontline, then I piloted a ship and blew enemies from above, then I helped out sniping back around Base 1 protecting it from being reclaimed by the enemy.

The variety is awesome. You may play the same map (there's a whole lot of battlefields!) 100 times and you can still do completely different stuff. Plus you can order allies around with simple commands like: follow me, hold position and defend, move on.

The coolest thing is that you can board every gun-turret and every vehicle, and ship Grand-Theft-Auto style. And here's the best: you can board any kind of enemy vehicle and use it against them! It just feels good stealing an unmanned AT-ST on Endor and sending unsuspecting stormtroopers to kingdom come. If it's a large vehicle/ship you may even command AIs around you to board it with you. They will automatically take positions and man available gun turrets. You can then pilot the vehicle or cycle through all other positions and let one of the AI soldiers do the steering instead! This Rocks! You may then land the ship behind enemy lines, command fellow soldiers to get out and try to conquer an enemy outpost from behind. Wow! That simply feels good.

Talking about the AI: it rocks, too! You'll be amazed when you're low on vitality and a fellow pilot drops by dropping a health pack for you, or when you're busy sniping from up above running out of ammo and someone comes by and drops clips right next to you so you can hold your vantage point without moving an inch. Sweet. You'll be amazed how much other smart stuff the AI is capable of. It just keeps surprising you.

The graphics are pretty darn good. Especially considering how busy the PS2 already is calculating the AI for dozens of troops, vehicles, ships, special FX etc. etc. The only complaint may be that in order to maintain a constant frame rate, the graphics blur out a tiny little bit (effect similar to GTA Vice City) it's a trick to hide a relatively lower framerate (comparable to cartoons, where on picture blends into the other). But hey, this is all the PS2 can muster you really can't blame the programmers. Just don't say I didn't warn you once you notice it ain't as fluid as say Timesplitters 2. But again, the framerate is good and the graphics pretty good, too.

We don't need to discuss the sound. It's STAR WARS in all it's Dolby Pro Logic glory, nuff said!

If you're a Star Wars fan, this is a must have. If you're not a Star Wars fan ... become one for the love of God !!! :-) . This is certain: you'll still think this game's a blast even if you're new to Star Wars.

Unfortunately I have read some official reviews criticizing the single player mode and claiming it was dull and uninteresting. Sorry, I don't know what those guys were smoking, but I have been playing this game for months and I'm still hooked finding out more and more cool new stuff you can do. Whatever the multiplayer mode looks like, I bet it will just add to the great quality of this game!

Now stop watching the movies and LIVE the experience.

The Reverend.

For anyone who has ever wanted to step into the boots of a storm trooper and eliminate that pesky rebellion, or for those who want to crush the maniacal empire, this is the game for you. The game offers two different playing modes: historical campaign a chronological order of battles from either the original or prequel movies and a galactic strategy game that gives you the ability to fight for control of a planetary system. While the campaign portion flies by a little fast, the strategy section is certainly this titles major draw. Combined with a nice selection of soldier characters (foot soldier, sniper, jet-pack soldier, to name a few) makes this a wonderfully fun game to play with a very high replay value.

When I first played the game, I was a bit frustrated at the ease with which I died even playing on EASY level you can get swarmed if you aren't careful! After a few rounds however, I realized some of the pros and cons of the characters (most notably, the foot soldier has been the best to play with on EASY due to the machine gun like blaster he carries for run-and-gun) and I developed some strategies on how to attack the enemy. But whether you put your skills into destroying enemy vehicles or finding remote locations (in an excellent selection of maps) to peg people in the head, this game will have you hooked for hours.

Recommended for any fan of the Star Wars universe, fair-weather fans and those who enjoy a good sci-fi war you'll get a kick out of taking over tie fighters, speeder bikes and AT-STs or just running around and blasting Storm Troopers, Sand People, Ewoks and Wookies. JUST STAY AWAY FROM JEDIS, they'll tear you up!

Big League Sports is one of those games that didn't show up as a future release, didn't have any advertisements, commercials etc. There is only 1 like on the Amazon page, but I was somehow drawn to Big League Sports, and am overall glad I was. This game seems like it would be more fun playing with 2, 3, or 4 people. I played BLS by myself, and had a pretty good time.

When I first turned it on, I fielded in baseball. I have to admit, I was ready to give this game one star. The ball is hard to see when it's coming at you. There are flashing lights from the stands (imitating cameras I guess, and baseballs were coming at me, and I couldn't see them until they hit the ground. Then I tried the pitching. I really didn't understand what the game was asking for, but I think I figured out that the game doesn't want you to pitch when the moving square is in the middle. I was highly disappointed and frustrated at this point in the game. This was in the baseball tournament mode. I feel this part of the game wasn't well planned out, but maybe I just don't understand it.

Then I tried the Homerun Hero mode, and I fell in love.If you ever played EA Sports Active for the WIi, and remember swinging the baseball bat, and always thought that this mode should be expanded on, your dreams have come true. After you hit the ball, you hold out your arms and the ball soars the way you want it to (check out the video review for a better explanation on this).

After baseball, I enjoyed football. Football has a mode that is just like Kinect Sports 2, although in this game, you have to direct your body towards the receiver you want to throw it to. After you dodge defensive tacklers, you throw the ball to the open receiver. In another mode of football, you juke and stiff arm tacklers while you are running.

Hockey ended up being a pleasant surprise, as well as basketball, and golf. Check out the montage of the gameplay if you're considering purchasing this game. Hopefully, it will be a downloadable title one day. It's hard to say that this is a must have, but if you have disposable income, and are starving for a decent sports Kinect game, I'd say go for it. Peace out, Lou

pretty fun game overall.

some sports are better than others, definitely try out basketball and hockey first.

Per the previous review, playing with a group of people in tournament mode is the way to go. It's like having a playlist of games one after another.

I've only had this game for two weeks and I am still working through playing all of the different sports and games in this disc. I am a huge hockey fan, but have never seriously played myself. If you are looking for an exact replica of how it is to play hockey, this is not that. Really, nothing can compare to the real thing in any sport. It is a fun game though and I enjoy playing it. It gets you up and moving and since I purchased this, and a couple other Kinect games, I use the XBox more than my husband. Sometimes it's nice to sit and use a controller, but I generally prefer the interactive Kinect games. I'll update once I've played more than the hockey, baseball and football games.

Complaints first: If you have played the Adventure Game it has a loading process like that and takes pictures of you as you play. I do not like this feature. It also is like practicing sports, so this makes for a lot more loading after each drill.

I do enjoy playing the game. Like the variety of sports. It has nice and easy to learn moves. It does not take log to figure out, but could take a while to master. It may no teach perfect technique, but it does teach a little strategy and basics.

Bought this game for my 11 year old athletic son. He hated it so I decided to check it out. This game is so terrible. There is nothing "Big League" about it. You don't actually play in a game you just do what the screen prompts you to do. If I could give this 0 stars I would have. Invest in Kinect Sports it is way better. I immediatley took this game back for a full refund. NO FUN!

5pb offers us a shoot'em up (shmup) with the release of Bullet Soul. I'm fairly new to the genre and my only other shmup I can compare it with is Mushihimesama Futari ver. 1.5.

The Pros:

1. The graphics on this game are top notch and add some new life to the genre with it's (brief) cinema style ending.

2. A good Xbox live supported Leaderboard, with top scores for overall game and by stage.

3. High quality music.

4. The soundtrack comes with the game!

5. The game is simply fun.

The Cons:

1. There is only one difficulty setting and the bullet patterns on the later bosses become much more difficult than bosses on the normal difficulty setting for Mushihimesama Futari.

2. There are only two game modes, story mode and score attack.

Overall it's a solid game but I think most shmup players would get more replay value from the shmup releases by CAVE (makers of Mushihimesama Futari, Espgaluda 2 and Death Smiles to name a few).

Edit: There are 2 DLCs available for this game on the japanese marketplace, which requires a japanese account and japanese microsoft points. There are a few online guides on how to set up an account and places to buy japanese microsoft points. Both DLCs are well worth the 400MSP. The first DLC is a timed score attack mode, you have 2 minutes to score as many points as possible. The second is an alternate and, for the most part, easier story mode as well as a score attack mode. There is also a new character/ship available. In addition to that there is an additional 250 gamerpoints per DLC to be gained. If you liked the original game but wished there was more to it then I would definitely recommend downloading the extra content.

I've been looking for this title for AGES, literally...ages.

Simple to play, vertical shooter, menu's and game interface are in english.

Great job 5BP, please..release more!

Best Deals for Bullet Soul

A few years back, developer 5pb ported DaiOuJou and Ketsui to 360 for CAVE. Perhaps this game them a taste for shmups, resulting in the development of Bullet Soul.

This is a very energetic shmup. With heavy guitar music, 80's style character designs, and bright neon bullets flowing across the screen, it definitely has awesome presentation. Even at starting firepower, your ship is a total fireworks machine of destruction, and you only get stronger from there.

The unique feature to Bullet Soul is, quite literally, the bullet souls. Once an enemy is destroyed, its bullets turn into wispy white souls. These are harmless, and dissipate if you let them contact you. While this may sound like it would make it hard to track which bullets are a threat, the contrast between normal bullets (bright neon colors) and souls (dull wisps) is great enough that this isn't an issue.

Converting bullets to souls leads to some tense situations where waves of enemies fire streams of bullets at you, only to be cancelled out just before they hit you. There's definitely a balance between reckless aggression and carefully planning which enemies to defeat first. Boss fights also have bullet souls, where destroying portions of the boss convert those bullets to souls.

While souls are a cool idea, they aren't implemented for anything interesting besides the graphical effect. This is where the game falls short in my opinion. It would be great if souls affected your multiplier by collecting them or had some other cool effect on the gameplay, but unfortunately they're just sort of there. Scoring is based on point blanking, where the closer you get to enemies the faster they increase a multiplier gauge. Some may like this simplicity, but I find it a bit disappointing and a missed opportunity.

For beginners, Bullet Soul offers an optional "autobomb" mode, selectable when you choose your ship. When turned on, this automatically uses bombs when you get hit, making the game significantly easier for new players. Experienced players are free to ignore it if they want more challenge.

The game supports tate mode for those who use rotated screens, however the ship select is improperly oriented when using this feature. Not many people use tate, but it looks sloppy for those who do.

Honest reviews on Bullet Soul

I fancy a lot of shooters, such as every Cave release, Raiden games, Eschatos and many others, but it took me a while to bite on Bullet Soul since the cost was a little high and the impressions from shooter fans were mixed. Anyways, I finally bit and I'm glad I did.

Not only did I receive the game, which is an incredible vertical scrolling shooter, but I received the version with the soundtrack, which is a high energy hard rock and metal mix, packed with guitar solo after guitar solo. I'm glad it came with the soundtrack since I would've wanted it badly after hearing the music within Bullet Soul.

In terms of content, it's true that Bullet Soul is lighter than most other shooters on the market. For example, Akai Katana just released in the states and has much more content for less than half the price of Bullet Soul. If you're on a budget, check out Akai Katana, DoDonPachi Resurrection, Deathsmiles, Deathsmiles II (Exclusive to Xbox Live Games on Demand), Raiden IV and Raiden Fighters Aces. However, if you're a collector looking to pick up some rarer titles and fill out your collection of shooters, Bullet Soul is a great buy.

Also, for any people interested in Bullet Soul who don't have a Japanese 360, don't worry, because this game's 100% region-free and playable on NTSC consoles.

While it took me a while to get used to the scoring system and some other aspects of Bullet Soul, I'm very, very pleased with this game and it'll stay in my collection.

I'm a shmup collector and have been playing the genre for nearly 30 years. Please take my advice and save your money for a better shmup than this INSANELY overpriced garbage. It's bad enough that shmup imports are price gauged to death but when you get one that has absolutely laughable gameplay coupled with nearly NO additional modes or difficulties/extras, it becomes a crime.

Pros: Looks nice, great music.

Cons: Everything else. Let's start with the gameplay. The gimmick in this shooter is that the bullets of the enemies you destroy turn into bullet "souls" or ghosts. What does this mean for you as the gamer? NOTHING. The bullets turn grey and disappear. You don't collect them, they don't add to your power, they serve absolutely no function whatsoever. The game can be easily cleared in one sitting with only the last level being even remotely challenging. After that...that's it. No difficulty changes, no additional ships or content to unlock, no extra modes or alternate gameplay mechanics. You just paid $100+ for a game that has no replayability.

Go get yourself Cave's Espgaluda 2 or Mushihimesama Futari (both region free) if you want shmups that are not only beautiful but will give you gameplay and options/challenge to last a lifetime. OR Support a company like Qute who released the outstanding Eschatos and Ginga Force. Both are excellent games and are loaded with content.

Avoid this garbage.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program Well I think the real selling point for this cable is the convenience it provides. The swivel is perfect for those tight places and the connection to the lap top is super when you want to go big screen. The down side is the length which is limited but for the most part it is long enough. If going from the bed to the the screen it will probably work. A good addition to your wired high def world. Worth the money for the convenience it provides.Go for it and plug in.

I have to confess I'm addicted to Netflix, not just the new releases, but classic black and white films, monster movies, BBC period pieces and TV series I missed the first time around. I've been watching instant play movies on my laptop, but some films deserve a larger format.

The HDMI cable AmazonBasics High Speed HDMI Cable with Ethernet Flat (9.8 Feet / 3.0 Meters) effortlessly installed to my TV HDMI port and my laptop HDMI port. The ends have dual direction swivels, a nice flat, non-twisty cable, sturdy construction. Less than a minute to attach the cable, pull up the movie, and scroll through the onscreen menu on the TV switch to HDMI 2 as the source of the signal. Excellent picture and sound quality, comparable to HD cable programming. Once I was done watching the movie the cable was easily coiled and stored.

The cable is very substantial with heavy cable and protective coating. The connectors are industrial strength and will probably last forever. The length is generous, making possible a long run from control box to screen. The combined HDMI/Ethernet feature opens up capability for 3D TV, and other HDMI 1.4 functions.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I hope by the time you read this review, the text and photos will be corrected and I'll just look like a crazy person. But this is what I got in the mail: an approx. 10ft. HDMI 1.4 cable with standard male A style plugs on both ends. The photo shows articulating heads, which would have been great for the wall mounted TV... but it's straight and non-articulating which is fortunately passable for my mount. The detailed description says under one photo that it has A an style plug on one end and a B-micro on the other... this is not the case (nor does it look like that in the photos either or would I want it to be since I'd need an adapter for most TV/set-top box related usage).

So that leaves me in tricky review predicament. I may have gotten the wrong product and you might too, but if you do get the cable I did rest assured it's very well built, transmits a gorgeous clean signal and it supports all the latest HDMI goodness like 3D and internet data. Now that it's installed I don't think I'm going to change it... the old "if it's not broke don't fix it" mentality. Maybe this is just a case of getting what I needed rather than what I wanted. =)

I don't know how the manufacturer made the bendable ends but they are crap. I bought these to make installation of my TV on a wall-mount cleaner and less stressful on the wires from bending due to tight spaces behind my TV. Even though the ends are bulky they were effective at alleviating the pressure on the cables from the wall when installed on the wall mount, but the cables failed after a sort period of time. This was extremely irritating because the cables were installed in cable routing conduits that hide the cables so they took some time to install. Contrary to what you might think these cables are bulkier than most round cables and took substantial time to get installed. When they failed and my picture started flickering and cutting out frequently I was not happy to discover that it was the cable. I know for certain it was the cable and only the cable because replacing the cable with a simple one immediately fixed my problems. I ordered three of these and two of them are in the trash.

Okay, so I'm not born after 2000 some would consider me a dinosaur. I'm one of those guys that played Digger & Pacman and Dave and Quake all of them on my PC.

.

After so many years of almost no gaming ever since I finished college & got on my first job it's been a decade that I've not been gaming at all I finally made a decision to purchase a PS3 (Sorry Microsoft you've given me many distasteful experiences both on Windows & my Cell-phone I dont want you anywhere near my gaming console).

.

I put in a Gamefly subscription & found BF3 & COD to my liking (other than NFS, GTA, Max Payne & a bunch of other titles). The COD MW3 was my first-ever online massive multi-player FPS experience and I suck at it. You know on the score board one of those guys at the bottom of the winning (or even the losing) team that IS ME. So, I got it written in stone that any fire-fight where I engage the target the target will always-always neutralize me. Hence, I became more of a strategy player someone that goes behind enemy lines & flanks them. I graduated from Assault Rifles to SMGs and currently hooked up to my MK46 LMG love it.

.

I would usually have to spend at a minimum of 7 to 10 units of ammo (not entire mags) to take down a single target but once I loaded the KontrolFreek Classic I observed that using the same amount of ammo I was now able to get Double-Kill (or even Triple-Kill sometimes). When I play against a clan I usually end-up getting more kills mainly because the clan-members tend to go out in groups of 2 or more thereby getting my multiple kills each time I engage in a fire-fight. Earlier, when I faced 2 units I was only able to take down one and the other guy would neutralize me. That is history now.

.

Recently, for the first-time ever I was getting 29 kills for 14 deaths at a map that I don't like so much DOME. I have many games where my kills is 20+ and deaths is 10-. My accuracy has seen a marked increase my KDR has also increased (I usually go ninja Blind-Eye + Assasin so unless an enemy unit actually spots me, I usually don't get killed). The great thing is the sounds the enemy units make when I clear them out 2 or 3 at a time it's usually Oh-WOW. [I don't know if people realize but when your mic is on & you are killed the sounds you make are audible to the killer] And I am loving it.

.

My KDR sucked it was almost 0.4 now my all-time KDR is 0.84 and the weekly & monthly KDR is 1.4 & 1.6. I attribute it to KontrolFreek Classic. May be I am wrong may be it is just luck (no other way a sucky player like me can ever get a 1.0+ KDR *ever*).

.

So, all of you senior dinosaur-like-me, gamers if you have the passion, go for the freeks. If you're one of those guys that runs around with a Shotgun (AA 12, Striker?) or an SMG go in for the CQC Freek. If you like Sniping or Long-range hits go for the Classic. It will possibly be one of the best expenses you've made.

.

NOTE: I have recently started playing using ViewSonic PJD5133 Projector on a huge screen. Previously I was using a 23'' television-screen. I have Turbo Internet (15+ Mbps that's what the ISP says) and a LAN-cable to my PS3. Oh, and yes, in spite of all this I was the suckiest player ever. I've also started playing Barebones on the Hard-Core list I think it suits me better (I go without Blind-Eye in Barebones; sometimes I go without Assasin as well).

.

Well let's start by saying shooter games are not everything, which is why the kontrol freek is also a nice seeming part of the package. However it is nowhere near as effective at performance enhancement as the fps freek. The headshots really are easier to make and the kills in swat on halo reach really rack up. The track times however were not improved at all. nfs shift for instance was only made harder. If you want better control on realistic racers just get the wheel don't try to be a freek. In hindsight I would have only purchased fps for 10 rather than both for 20.

Personally I didn't think these thumb stick extenders really made that much of a difference in game play. Also I didnt feel that the quality of these sticks were really that great, they seemed like they were made of cheap plastic and not completely finished. They had different colors of plastic mixed in and had little plastic burs around the mold lines.

Does exactly what it's supposed to. One makes FPS more accurate. The other makes Steering more sensitive during driving/racing games. Takes 1-2 hours to get used to.

I picked up the Playstation 4 Camera alongside my PS4 and it was the first thing I tried out.

After less than 24 hours it's clear that the camera has a lot of potential but is still missing a compelling gaming function. The Playroom set of minigames that come with the camera are made by Double Fine, and are a lot of fun but very very short. You won't get a ton of play out of them.

The really nice feature is the facial auto-login and tracking to see who is holding what controller. Very quick and seamless.

The sensor itself is only 720P, which is a bit of a disappointment, but its low light performance is surprisingly good. I used it with the lights off and just morning low light coming through the closed shades, and it seemed to report a much brighter room than the one I was sitting in. The image is fairly grainy, but it's definitely serviceable. Suspect the choice to go with a 720P sensor was so

they could make larger cells that absorb more light.

It also has a very wide field of vision. Definitely larger than the original Kinect.

Speaking of Kinect, the gesture recognition seems to be decent. You can wave at the Playroom robots and they wave back. But there isn't an app or anything that lets you see what the PS Camera is "seeing" as far as gesture detection so it's hard to really know. No kinect-like Skeleton overlay, at least none that I've found as yet.

Haven't used the camera for Twitch yet but I suspect that is its real draw. And it's high enough resolution that you should be able to do a PIP of your face while gaming and still be relatively recognizable.

Four stars for simply working well and being nice and compact. Much prefer this size for a camera, being able to tuck it under the lip of my TV stand on top of the Wii U sensor bar, than a large chunky footprint of my 360 Kinect, and eventually XB1 Kinect 2.0, both of which are just a bit too large for me aesthetically in my living room. I always put the Kinect camera away when I'm not using it because it just looks too big ... the Playstation 4 Camera is nice and unobtrusive and I can tuck its cord away to be nearly invisible. Considering motion gaming makes up about ... oh ... 0.0000003% of my Television time, making it small is a big thing to get me to leave it connected.

Would update to 5 stars if there is ever an actually compelling gaming reason to own the camera, but I'm getting it more for video chatting with friends and for the promise of future voice commands. But I can understand why most people would opt to skip the camera for now ... there isn't a huge reason to get it yet.

WARNING at the time of writing this review about three days after launch it should be known you cannot turn off the mic for this camera. A cool feature of this camera is that you don't need to use the microphone and earbud that comes with your PS4 for people in your voice chats or online multiplayer to hear you. Unfortunately a glaring oversight by Sony you cannot turn off the mic at all. You will need to unplug the camera. It's little things like this that boggle my mind that Sony didn't think of leading up to the release of the PS4.

UPDATED: If you start a private voice conversation with no one it will mute the camera in multiplayer games.

I got this camera because when I live stream I want people to be able to see my face (I play with my face because I'm disabled so people will want to see that in action) and the camera works well for that and in that purpose. You can also turn the console on and do numerous commands with the voice functionality. And while nowhere near as refined as Microsoft's Kinect is I think in time it can be very useful.

Now the mini games that come with it (I mean come with your PS4) are kind of cool and the types of games that you show off to your friends when you want to show them how far technology has come. But after a few times you will really play that are again. And how games will take advantage of video technology remains to be seen a big way.

But for live streaming and showing face cams this is definitely a useful product. And it works straight out the box and is super easy to set up.

So all in all I think it's a cool albeit niche product for many people.

Thanks for reading.

Picture quality seems great, the microphone is super responsive. Just waiting on more games that actually support it. You are also able to log into the system by facial recognition :)

Honest reviews on PlayStation 4 Camera

I picked up the PS4 camera because of the Playroom videos. They robots looked super cute and thought they would be fun for entertaining guests. Well, they are cute, but the interaction with the on screen objects is pretty limited. Essentially I just kick them around until I get bored.

I was disappointed with the resolution of the camera. On my 55" LED with the lights very bright, the picture the camera captures and displays is grainy. If you're expecting HD, you'll be particularly disappointed. It is 1280x800 resolution and HD is 1920x1080 for reference, so graininess should have been expected on my part.

As for the playroom games, well, it's a novelty now. Perhaps there will be other games that better utilize the camera. I'm really looking forward to children's interactive games for my daughter.

One bonus is that the camera comes with a handy adjustable stand. I mounted mine on top of the tv, and the stand adjusted enough to allow a good angled view of the room.

It really is amazing how far technology has come. The voice commands work great, and facial recognition is awesome. I'm logged in immediately upon turning on the system. The AR Bots in the Playroom do a great job of demonstrating the capabilities of the PS Eye and keep you eagerly awaiting future titles that put it to use.

She got this game for Christmas and really liked it.She has already replayed a few times. She likes coloring the pictures with the udraw game tablet and reading the stories. There are also some puzzles and activities on the game like mazes and connect the dots.My daughter found them pretty easy but she still enjoyed this game. So if you have a daughter that is a Disney princess fan and who likes to draw and color, I would recommend this game. Though I don't think it is for all kids in reference to the previous review,it is great for girls who like to draw and color on the Wii that love Disney princesses.

I have had my playstation for about 4 years now, and I find myself playing Twisted Metal 2 all the time because it was the only game that had any real staying power and is fun in 2 player mode so my wife and I could play together. We decided to pick up Sled Storm on a whim, without having read any reviews, and we are real glad we did. This game is a LOT of fun... it is fun doing the tricks, it's fun impronving the snow mobile, it's fun unlocking tracks, and it's fun unlocking characters. Each track is very unique, and all have good jumping opportunities to do tricks and score points. The open mountain tracks also have some great shortcuts you should look out for. Finally, we have found another game that we can play together and not get tired of.

Sled Storm is the funnest game I've ever played, probably because I love snowmobiling and this is the best snowmobile game out there. It is fun to keep playing championships to get more money and upgrade your sled, but single racing against my friends is lots of fun too. The snowcross championship is where I do best. I love doing backflips, one-handed supermans, decades, Indian airs, recliners, double nac-nacs, and more. Some of the things certain sledders say is the funniest things, like "It's a bunny", "Got'em", and "Dufis". You can get two new sledders once you beat a snowcross championship a couple of times. Jay is the best guy to be when you are in the snowcross championships, because he is the best at doing tricks. I would first take Jay through some of the Mountain Championship first before Starting a snowcross championship so you can get some money to upgrade your sled a little and be able to get better air for big tricks which produce big cash in Mountain Championship.

Best Deals for Sled Storm

I found myself "sucked in" by the reality of this game. I popped it in my PlayStation and played it for nearly 2 hours straight the first day! I have not used the multi-player mode much, I do not tell a lot of people about this game, I want it all to myself!! I live in the Snow Belt of Michigan and this is a great game for in the summer, when my sled is in storage!

It is not "just another racing game" for PSX. It is so real, you get windburn on your face and your knuckles get cold! The courses are challenging, the drivers all control their sleds different and do different tricks and the upgrades make ALL the difference! This game is a great, great addition to your PSX collection!!

I just got this headset. It was impressive right from the start, as the packaging was really nice. The package has a black plastic lid on top with a latch. You flip up the latch, pull up on the plastic handle and lift it off. There's your usb cable on top. Pull two plastic tabs back, pull up on a tab in the center and the whole thing lifts out. No need to cut or tear anything! Off to a good start.

So, I take the headset out of the package and it looks just as nice as it does in the pictures. It's really something. I put it on and set it up with my PS3. Tested it out, played some metal gear online matches, etc.

So far, it's plenty loud, the sound is good and it's definitely comftorable. It doesn't sit in your ear at all, but the ear piece is larger (but very flat) so you get plenty of sound.

Overall, I'm very impressed with this headset and surprised there aren't more reviews.

This product is great. Its light, looks good and has crystal clear sound quality. Other people with mics can hear you as if your right next to them and you can every word anyone says. For the price this headset is probably the best on the market. I have tried Xbox 360 and Ps3 headset and this one is by far the best headset. Some people say that wireless headsets have bad connection or get choppy but i have had this headset for 2 yrs and it functions like it did right out of the box. PLEASE BUY THIS HEADSET ITS WORTH IT!!!

Best Deals for PS3AC EX-01 Wireless Headset

This device is great and well worth the price.

First the packaging. Unlike most new devices or accessories I buy these days, this one came in a very simple to open package. It was not heat sealed in a thick plastic that seems to get sharper than the scissors you need to open it! For this all you had to do was remove two pieces of tape, lift two tabs and the main piece just slides right out. The earpiece is then secured with a twist tie that is very simply removed. This is a company that knows people actually like to use the things they buy!

Second is the included chargers. It does not use a standard USB connection to charge; however, they include a cable designed for plugging into a USB port. I use this PS3 Charge Station to charge my controllers and now my earpiece thanks to that cable.

Now the actual earpiece. It is very comfortable and sits well on the ear. The loop that goes around your ear is very soft and flexible.

As they say you will forget you are even wearing it. Or at least you would if it wasn't for the great sound quality. That little single speaker on the device is extremely clear. I have had no problems hearing people and no one has complained about being able to hear me.

This device allows for great communication while playing, so it does add another level of fun to gaming.

Honest reviews on PS3AC EX-01 Wireless Headset

This is a great looking headset and is very comfortable as it sits on the ear rather than inside the ear. The volume is great too. However, the set was a little frustrating to sync with the playstation because the manual only came in non-english languages. The pictures do not really help as they are printed at an extremely small size. I was able to find english directions on their website which was nice. My big complaint is that the battery life is terrible, and because of this I would recommend looking elsewhere. If you play online for very short sessions it may still prove of use.

Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for PS3AC EX-01 Wireless Headset

Needed a new bluetooth and was looking for an inexpensive replacement, the EX-01 fit the bill. The unit itself was packaged nicely and looks sharp. It has an over the ear hook and comes with an extra(for left ear). The ex-01 is light (fairly big earpiece) and feels a little cheap, but seems to be fine so far. For the money I dont think you can go wrong. It also comes with a SHORT usb cord which conveniently plugs in to my ps3 or laptop. Will give you 4 hours of talktime and cannot use while charging. On/Off button plus volume controller on the device and has a mute feature. The device has a green and blue light to let you know when on or charging. All in all I would recomend this device for the cost and sleek looks. Hope this helps you :)

ION Audio Drum Rocker Rock Band 2 Drum Set
Customer Ratings: 4 stars

I searched a long time before deciding to buy this particular drum set. I am a beginning drummer who Has an Acoustic set at Church. I wanted to practice at home but tearing down and lugging an acoustic set of drums home and back every weeek was not going to fly. (and I'm sure my neighbor would not appreciate the loud sound of the drums) So I searched and searched and searched online and at the local music store (who wanted $900 bucks for a similar set) and I made the decision on this one because of the price mainly. I was skeptical at first and kept my receipt and all parts handy just in case i needed to return this and......

The product is great. There are no problems with the wiring or foot pedals or anything. It does not have a "cheap" feeling to it either. physically speaking, it looks like a 500 or even 600 dollar equipment. The only thing that takes it down a notch for me is that you miss having a separate ride pad and crash pad. (they only give you one choice, either a ride or a crash) but fortunately you can buy a separate crash/ride cymbal and install it into the main brain. another disappointment is that it seems that you cannot add a splash cymbal pad if you wanted to. (oh well you can't have it all for this price)

When i practice, i do so in my living room which is not very large. My wife stated that it sounds as if i am striking phone books with drumsticks when i practice with the headphones on. This is a major plus because I have neighbors and i do not want to disturb them with my drumming nor do I want to announce to the neighborhood that I have a drum set in my house. (break-ins) It comes with a port where you can plug in speakers and play out loud also if need be. The variety of sounds are also fun too. I have not ventured deep into what the brain can do but so far I am far form being unimpressed

Even though the price is lower than other drum sets which can cost you 600-1500 and up. This one is not cheaply built. All of the parts and arms and body of the drum set is stable. My curious cats have already tipped it over, but no broken parts or anything like that. Overall I believe that if you are a beginning drummer like myself, this is the perfect low cost quiet set for you.

I bought this drum set about 5 weeks ago at the local Wholesale

Membership store due to the Cost, about 2/3 of the quoted price

here on Amazon. The set was on display, and after listening

to the cymbals on the headphones I decided to buy it. I purchased

the set specifically to add a more realistic drum track to my own

music, which I record on a multitrack recorder.

If you read reviews of electronic drums of every price range, there's

a host of problems that can occur, from loosening of the glue that

holds the pads, to broken foot pedals, to malfunctions of the computer

chips and wiring connections. At this price point, I decided I could

take a chance. Included with the set was a very nice Numark 125

headphone, a pair of large unvarnished drum sticks, 2 foot pedals,

4 pads, 2 cymbals, the drum module, and a sturdy PVC frame.

After using the set for several weeks I can say I am quite happy with it

so far. It assembled in about an hour, just using the diagram that came

with it. There is a small chrome wrench included that tightens all the

connections. My wrench is hanging from the frame so I don't lose it.

Initially I had a major problem in that there was no documentation in the

manual or on the ION Audio website of the 108 drum sounds and 15 patterns. The

prospect of scrolling through more than a hundred undocumented numbered

sounds to change the pad sounds seemed absurd.

I tried calling their customer service department, but perhaps due to the

newness of the product, and after a total of 45 minutes of musical hold

(and being transferred to three different people who said they couldn't

help but would transfer me to someone who could) I just hung up the phone.

Then, after two emails through the ION website contact form, and a couple

of additional emails to their customer service department, the ION customer

service reps finally came through and emailed me a list of the sounds and

patterns.

I don't know if this set will last, though it seems quite sturdy to me. I

hope the parts I can't see are as good as the parts I can see. I am

quite pleased with the quality of recordings I have done. As an amateur

musician, and a first time drummer I found the dynamics, sound and no

apparent lag time to be just what I was hoping to get. I did find that

to record direct to the multitrack recorder I needed to use the phones out rather

than the line out. The line out generated a lot of noise into an unbalanced

line in on my multitrack recorder. However the phones out generated a beautiful

clean recording.

it wasn't even listed on the Ion Audio website yet, but bought it on a lark. Build is solid. Sound quality is excellent (not quite what a $1500 Roland will provide, but really quite good) with the included headphones (and drumsticks). Control panel is fairly straightforward, but I strongly suggest reading the instructions. Feel of drum surfaces is very good; that of cymbals somewhat rubbery.

I'm not a drummer, but have been a musician for 35 years and wanted something to fool around on without a) annoying everyone in the house and b) having to listen to my two boys bash it to pieces. I've only had it for about 2 weeks, but I'm very pleasantly surprised.

Note: This set appeared on the Ion Audio website about a week after I bought it!

2) Kick drum pad "Yamaha KP65 Electronic Kick Tower for DTXtreme IIS Kits"

3) Double Bass Pedal "Sound Percussion Double Bass Drum Pedal"

I almost did not buy this because there were so many useless reviews, so I'll sum up everything you need to know about the product.

The assembly is very easy, and fun. I normally don't like putting stuff together, but I had a good time building it.

All the drums are adjustable to whatever height/angle you want it. (You can set it up for a lefty if you needed to).

You can make the cymbol a crash or a ride (Both if you buy another cymbol separately). Or a tom can be changed to one of these if you wanted both.

The pedals stick a little bit. Sometimes when you hit it it will do two beats instead of one, but it doesn't happen a lot.

It comes with head phones (Pretty good ones), and to hook it up to an amp you need an adapter (Which was $6 for me). I played it through my Ampeg BA-115 Bass amp and it sounded great.

Extremely durable. I was afraid it wouldn't hold up as well as it does.

It's very quiet. I was playing with headphones on, and my mom said he could barely hear it when she was in the room.

When I got it, the bass drum was way too loud and the snare was too low, but each drum can be individually adjusted.

I have been waiting for this game since I first played Super Mario Bros in the 80s. Really fun, responsive and gives you quite the workout without being a fitness game. I have most Kinect games, and this is easily my favorite. Very promising for the 'next gen' of Kinect titles. It's a little limited vis-a-vis length and variety of play (this is a standard fighter), but if you've ever wanted to shoot lasers from your hands, summon zombies upon request, or otherwise be a superhero, buy this game!

The responsiveness is great in this game. Some reviews say it is terrible, but that is blatantly false and there are videos on YouTube to disprove their claims. Just so you know how I feel; don't trust a media outlets review of a Kinect game, instead watch a real player playing it.

I would love to have given this game 5 stars but I can't. The campaign is awfully short. Another reason is the negative views it is getting from media outlests. Those negative reviews are going to make the online play sparse. I have been in a few online matches already and though I lost it was a lot of fun. It is amazing to think that someone else is jumping around to play the game too. Everything else about this game is fantastic.

If you own a Kinect this title should at least be rented, in my opinion. Use it to determine if you can even have a quality Kinect setup. If you cannot get this game to run properly then you should consider selling your Kinect because you will probably never enjoy a Kinect title.

SpazHinata and TheOmnigamer on YouTube have excellent videos on this game.

Honest reviews on PowerUP Heroes - Xbox 360

Now I have to say, doing poses as if I'm throwing out bolts of lighting an so forth makes me a little uneasy to do around others, but alone it's pretty fun.

What I like about Power Up Heroes is that it uses my Xbox live avatar and turns it into a super hero.

Their are a multitude of suits and various ways to play using unique attacks against your opponents.

This first time I played this my left shoulder got so sore. Throwing all these punches and lifting my arms up and the occasional knee to my opponents stomach is quite the workout. I began to sweat after 10 minutes or so of this.

All in all this is one of the best Kinect games I've had the opportunity to play. It's fun, and it's great exercise. The only thing missing is a little recording of yourself like the dance games do. You can sit around and laugh at how funny you look fighting an invisible opponent!

Definitely recommended for any age range.

Bought this for my 6-year old son, who is completely obsessed with super heroes. He loves the game, and just needed my help to understand that the figures shown on the side will light up when you have that particular power available (you can only use them every so often), and that they are also telling you what body movements you need to make in order to use that skill/power/weapon. Not too violent or scary, which is a big deal for me.
