It is an excellent fitting silicone protector. Nothing slips while playing. It improves my grip on the controller which seems to help my gaming. However, it is not a solid white skin, but a translucent white. I wanted solid white to cover my blue controller because it was cheaper than buying a new white controller.

The seller was willing to make the return but I didn't think it was worth the trouble. I have not found anyone who carries a solid white skin. I like it enough to keep as it enhances any Xbox 360 controller's beauty. Similar to a cell phone cover, it protects the 360 controller from sweat, dirt and minor drops.

One very minor complaint. I wish the skin filled the spot between the triggers and front buttons. Sometimes I feel loose skin near the trigger. Filling that space would fix the form fitting. I usually enjoy the black and chrome style of home electronics. But Xbox white is my delight. {:-D

Addendum: Since writing this review I obtained the identical black skin. It is much smoother to the touch and not grippy like the white one. But that black matte finish really makes the controller sexy. It's like touching Batman's cowl as I play Arham Asylum.

I was really hoping that, given they had more time and improvement in tech, that they would take the opportunity to drastically improve on the first game. I'm still scatching my head wondering if the Authors of Left Behind ever sat down and played the games. Or better yet, had one of their kids sit down, play the game, and be honest with them. Its a novel idea, making a Christian themed game. Particularly using the spiritual warfare angle. And believe me, I wanted to see it done and done well! I wish this hadn't diappointed. While the opening video is good and gets your attention, the game play itself is still dull and repedative. It's like it was slightly updated and repackaged. The missions are cheesey and promote a shallow 'Christian' stereotype. I wish they'd done more consultation before repeating the same mistakes. A for initiative, Dfor execution.

I got this over a year ago at the Christian bookstore in the 75% off rack. I couldn't play it because it wouldn't install. We had our computer fixed a couple months ago, and now it works. I was really excited to give this game a try. But in my opinion, it just isn't worth the money, even if I did get it for 75% off.

The game installed just fine. I started the tutorial to learn how to play. There are 3 different tutorials. I got through the first one just fine. FYI: I am a adult. I was frustrated, but made it through the first one.

However, I only made it a short ways into the second tutorial. I got stuck where it talked about how to train your recruit as a builder. It would tell you how to move, but it wasn't at all clear where you were supposed to move the person to. Normally tutorials walk you through step by step. It usually shows you which buttons to push and exactly where to click. Not this one. For example, at one point, you were supposed to send your new recruit to a camp. I had no idea where to find the camp. I thought maybe it would be somewhere on the gameboard. So I moved in both directions. I finally realized it meant a really small button in command box. But the tutorial was no help at all in regards to which button I needed to push or where it was located. I basically had to figure it out myself. Once I got my person into the camp, a screen with a bunch of people and a bunch of scrolls came up. The tutorial said to train your person as a builder, but gave no further instruction on how to do that. I just started click on scrolls and said my person became a builder. But I couldn't tell you which scroll it was because it wasn't labeled or anything. The next step was to create a bank for your unit. I figured out how to acquire a building, but then couldn't figure out how to convert it to a bank. I figured it was another tiny little icon. I turned it into a healing station by mistake. It said that I had created the wrong type of building (which I already knew) and to sell the building. I did that. Then it just repeated the instruction to build a bank. I never figure out how to create the bank. I couldn't even find the icon. I tried figuring it out. But eventually, I just gave up. I couldn't even complete the tutorial, so I didn't even attempt the actual game. This game was a huge disappointment. I wouldn't recommend it.

Received the game and didn't have a code with it and tried to get one from the company that distributed the game. They tried to get a code but could not. They did refund the money that we paid for it. We were trying to find christian games for our kids but I guess there are none out there.

Honest reviews on Left Behind: Tribulation Forces - PC

I bought this game for a penny! + Shipping, then found out it was only a 4 hour trial. including the tutitorial. As much as I love the series of movies and booksthis game isn't worth my time!!!

Not a good gamers game. If you know nothing about games and what makes a good game and your not allowed to play them because they are evil and your parents won't let you play any good games, then this is the game for you. Cheesy graphics, clumsy control, repetitive hollow missions all contribute to the overall mediocre feel of the game. It took christian music a long time to come out with anything good, apparently it will take christian themed games a while longer as well.

It was a good controller works fine. Arrived on time as promised, in condition as promised. The only disappointment that I had was I bought it for someone who enjoys playing BF3 as well. And he cannot use all the codes because they blocked them from the game and then there is a risk of getting kicked from the game because of it. A little bummed but otherwise he likes it and uses it all the time.

Review of Duke Nukem

Duke Nukem

I love Duke Nukem from PC and Playstation. While I must admit this game is fun it can in no way live up to the other system versions. I missed alot of the sick jokes that make Nukem games so fun. Like after you shoot a pig with a rocket launcher, Duke would say something like "Mmmm I smell bacon". Stuff like that. Still it's worth it.

Its not terribel just nothing special. Its graphics are bad but everything moves smoothly and unlike alot of gb games you can save your game. You just walk, find keys and shoot aliens. they guys bleed, just not alot. Sometimes they break in halk or there arms come off. Over all its good if you need dn portable.

Best Deals for Duke Nukem

I came into the game with high expectations, and I can't say that I was dissapointed. The game was actually one of the better games on the GBC during it's time of release, but now...

GRAPHICSBloody, Duke will walk no more than 5 feet and see blood all over the wall, not that that is a bad thing. Now I have to admitt that the detail is really nice and colorful, but Duke himself is rather bland. Oh and the cut scenes are awsome!

SOUNDThe shotgun sounds great, but as unfortunate as it is, every weapon after that sounds exactly the same. On a positive note, the game does have an impressive soundtrack.

GAMEPLAYThis is where the game wrecks everything that it otherwise had going for it. Slow movement, fast bullets, almost impossible to dodge. The game runs in five simple steps.

1.shoot

2.see the awsome blood effects

3.get shot

4.find health

5.repeat

In conclusion, the game is good, you just know how to work with it, but most players will find this a frustrating, hit and run miss.

I was very thrilled to get Midway's Arcade Origins for the Playstation and overall I was very impressed with it.I'm hoping the Midway,Namco,or even Data-East collections make their way to the PS3 consoles...I felt burned when I found out my copies of the PS2 couldn't be played on the PS3.On that note it was very refreshing for this Midway collection at a reasonable price. Our current 'most helped reviewer' has a pretty negative outlook and strays from logic such as the following....

Controller Functions:

Yes the trackball from Marble Madness had interesting reaction to the slightest touch, but the smooth action on the joystick knobs has pretty smooth response too.Same can be said for Defender or Super Off Road which used a steering wheel,as a substitute the playstation's controller and button assignments are well laid out.The reviewer isn't thinking like an adult 'I want a trackball blah, blah, blah' like a whining child.Technology has progressed (and will continue to) allowing these games to be comfortably played on a flexible controller. If you expect the controller styles to be 100% accurate then buy the original arcade game, actually a product like what the reviewer mentioned probably wouldn't be as heavy-duty or would be very limited to range of use.

The Games:

As far as the games some of these I had from the previous Midway Arcade Treasures collections and I felt the library was perfectly consolidated.Root Beer Tapper?it's a very straight forward game but requires speed and serious hand/eye coordination to keep up.Xybots isn't really in league with Wolfenstein 3D or Doom but it's a decent third person person shooter.Smash TV and Total Carnage were decent shooters of the early 1990's but they ate quarters since you got killed so quick by enemies in mass quantities...but the bosses were awesome!Rampage was alot of fun-who wouldn't want to be a ruthless monster destroying buildings and eating while destroying cars, tanks, and anything that can hurt you.I've never been much of a sports game fan but I liked the basketball game Arch-Rivals which allowed you punch another player to get your ball back...playing by street rules.Gauntlet/Gauntlet II was a quarter burner just like Smash TV and though it doesn't hold a candle to the souped up action games today Gauntlet was a tasty delight just as well as Wizards of Wor.Pit Fighter may not have gained as much popularity as Mortal Kombat due to advanced moves and fatalities. But you could move around more and pick up weapons(shurikens, pool cues, knives, and even a motorcycle) and at certain times there are two opponents at once to fight.Watch out for the occassional character who pops out from the crowd and tries to knife you...you can attack them back.Pit-Fighter came out several years before MK and despite the lack of eye candy gave I really liked Pit-Fighter.Galaga was created by Namco and I believe Space Invaders was as well,or maybe Atari...either way Midway/WB doesn't own the rights to these titles so that explains why they aren't included.Every game on this collection has varying fun factors depending on the player and I like this approach of these vintage collections,it really brings something special to the table.

Presentation:

It was pretty cool to see the old original cabinets of these classic games on the game selection screen,it really takes you back seeing them after all these years and the unique character behind these games. For thirty dollars rather than the typical fifty to sixty dollar price for a PS3 game just released?pretty good value. The ability to choose free play settings such as difficulty, number of lives, score bonus does lend flexibility to the settings.

Final Thoughts:

Not that I'm against the video games of today(as a matter of fact my modern game collection consists of first person shooters),but alot are missing something special behind all that high resolution...to be honest I think the newer/hi-tech games have gotten easy to beat. These retro games were more streamlined back then-some were just fun in general to play and some were flat out challenging.Although this isn't an included game PAC-MAN was a great example of a basic retro game..it required very quick hand and eye coordination to survive. The beauty of these arcade collections is they get re-released in higher resolution without sacrificing the natural low-res graphics and even better...no more quarters to burn through! As I mentioned earlier I had the Gottlieb and Williams Pinball Hall of Fame Collections,Midway Arcade Treasures Vol.1-3,Namco Museum Collection and the Intellivision Collection(it was okay but accurately captured).Altogether I spent alot more time playing these collections than the newer games because they prove to have a focused level of enjoyment.Just like the Sonic's Ultimate Sega Genesis Collection-It doesn't quite shine me on like the arcade collections do,but I do miss those my old Sega Genesis at times.Anyways, the Midway Arcade Origins is great and I highly recommend it...5-stars!

While I had the first two Midway Arcade Collections for the PS2 the price of this made it worth getting as well since I actually haven't played on my PS2 for awhile. There's really not much to say about this collection other then it's a nice nostalgic collection of 80 and some early 90 games for those who grew up playing these either at the arcade or on consoles. Obviously the graphics aren't going to match up to today standards as most are 8bit or slightly higher but it's sometimes nice to play these longtime classics that bring back fond memories of those times for many of us. The collection is pretty decent about 30 games as the collection is similar to the http://www.amazon.com/Sonic-Ultimate-Genesis-Collection-Playstation-3/dp/B001G33V8S/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1365461273&sr=8-1&keywords=sega+collection which is another great collection to have for the older generation gamers. Regardless for those of us who remember these games fondly then rejoice as this collection helps bring back those memories of yesteryear this time on the PS3.

This is a great mix of games. I love Defender, Stargate, Smash TV, Sinistar, Wizard of Wor.

The sound effects are my favorite part. If you have an HDTV and sound bar than this is heaven.

I have read complaints about how it is a re release of last generation's but you can't forget that Midway went under and WB owns it now. The games are presented in HD 16:9 so it offers something the other Midway/Williams compilations don't.

Turn off the lights and escape into the wonderful world of the 80's arcade experience!

Honest reviews on Midway Arcade Origins

Nothing gimmicky like 80s music or extra minigames in this package just a solid collection of some of the most addictive titles from our arcade past. The HD conversion process actually makes some of these games more playable as well as the dual stick controls for games like Smash TV and Robotron. If you have an arcade stick games like Defender really hold up well and can be hard to stop. These games are almost all classics in one respect or another you can't go wrong with this bundle.

Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Midway Arcade Origins

I would have paid the price just for Robotron 2084. Honestly there are only about 10 games in the collection that I play constantly. But IMO if we are honest, we remember that when we went to the arcade, there were only a handful of games that we pumped our money into anyway. Sure, it was fun to have our friends around, 80's tunes on the jukebox, the click clack, of the air hockey tables, and the demo sounds of all the surrounding games all clamoring together... But at the end of it all it was just the favorites that we put our hard earned quarters into. This collection of games is no different. Find your favorites and play them until the controller breaks... Buy a new controller and start again!

Reviews of Mario Strikers Charged

Mario Strikers Charged
Customer Ratings: 4.5 stars

What do you get when you mix fast paced arcade style soccer with all the characters of the mushroom kingdom? You get Mario Strikers Charged. If you're not a fan of soccer, then don't worry...neither am I. But what I am a fan of is this game.

If you've played the original for Gamecube, you'll understand a good deal of basics for Strikers. What Next Level did for the sequel is nothing short of outstanding. They've improved on absolutely every aspect from the original. You can now fully customize your team (unlike the original where you only had 4 different sidekicks to choose from and whichever you picked made of the rest of your team). Not only that, but there are 8 different sidekicks, each with different strengths and weaknesses, adding a great deal of depth where the original lacked. Also what's great is that each sidekick has their own power shot, all awesome and requires different strategies to pull off successfully. Also, the megastrike has been tweaked for team captains. Now, you can send up to 6 balls at once flying towards the goal. However, they aren't as cheap as before. The player now has the opportunity to block the shots via the Wii remote...a cool little feature that makes it a little more balanced than the original.

There are 17 courses total, with all the original courses returning, fully redone graphically, and they all look spectacular. In fact, this is probably the prettiest game on the Wii to date. I gotta tell ya, when you start a match in 'THE VICE' and see a million screaming fans (all mushroom kingdom residents) screaming and cheering, filling the stands that literally stretch 1000 feet above the arena, you'll get goose bumps...it looks absolutely amazing.

Multiplayer is phenomenal (like the original), and really where the game shines. Prepare to put aside several hours if you plan on having people over to play...you'll have to force yourself to stop. Up to 4 players can dish it out at once. You can choose the number of matches played in the series, the time limit, and or goal limit. And then of course there's the online mode....fun fun fun. Now you can play your buddy can play together from the comfort of your own homes, talking trash on AIM after every match. You can also compete on the leader boards against anyone in your respective country and see how well you stack up against everyone else (it's pretty easy to see who has no life...just check the top 20 ranked players).

Now for the bad. Unfortunately, the sever crashes waaaay to much. As more and more people buy the game and start logging on, I can only see it getting worse. I've got disconnected during 4 or so matches (all of which I was winning) which sucks because they won't go on your record. Also, there's no way to communicate with whoever you're playing against (which may be good or bad depending on how much trash talking you do). The lag isn't too bad...I've only found it to be a problem a couple times and it was just for a short while. Luckily, the game lets you know how good the connection is (4 stars being the best). Still, a 4 star connection can see some lag, so make sure you don't settle for anything less.

Still, these are minor shortcomings, and don't detract from the overall experience of the game. It's awesome, fast paced, addicting, fun.

Back in 2005, Nintendo really knew what it was doing by briinging Mario and his whole gang to the wild and outrageous world of sports on the Gamecube. Undoubtingly, the experiments worked beyond expectations. Mario Superstar Baseball, delivered a fun and entertaing home run with baseball madness that was fun & had some excellent minigames. But what really exploded was Super Mario Strikers, a wild and outrageous soccer game that really brought out so many kicks into the game. It really was a delightful treat for gamers everywhere, that a sequel had to be made for a second goal, and it was worth the wait.

Mario Strikers Charged for the Nintendo Wii is the thried Wii title to endure with competing against gamers online through Nintendo's Wi-Fi connection, and the game delivers. The game follows in suit well and brings even more fun that Super Mario Strikers left over. The gameplay includes returning characters Mario, Luigi, and Yoshi, as well as a couple of new playable captains like Bowser, and Diddy Kong. You can also even use your Mii's you've created as captains, as you did before from Mario Party 8. The game includes new arenas that really work beautifully with the Mario experience, ranging from the traditional, to arenas where whomps drop down on you. The control here is a bit different here in the game, as you use the nunchuck controls to move your captain and crew, and you use the Wii remote to block, pass and shoot your soccer balls to score.

There also is a new feature added to the game, a mega strike, where you could shoot as many as six goals at a single time at the goal. There are also new offensive tatics from the players. Wario could let out a foul odor to cause your opponents to hold their breath while your in control for the ball, and Mario could turn into a giant with his new moves. The graphics look wonderful and the gameplay is even more addictive than ever before, but the controls here take a bit to get used to, but once you complete the Strikers 101 training, you'll be able to get the gameplay down easily. There are also a few new characters and trophies that are added to unlock for extra gameplay for exhibition competetions, including Petey Piranha from Super Mario Sunshine, who is making his attempts to score his kicks, but you'd have to unlock certain trophies in the tournaments.

All in all, while there are other great games coming out that have much more hype like Metroid Prime 3: Corruption for the Wii, Mario Strikers Charged is worth the wait for sports fans everywhere. If you've loved the Gamecube edition, than you are really going to get your kicks here. I absolutely love the hype of the game, no red cards here, just all goals!!

Best Deals for Mario Strikers Charged

Mario Strikers Charged needs no introduction; the Wii-iteration is largely based on its Gamecube predecessor but takes this last-generation concept and its respective execution to a new level with increased interactivity, challenge, and connectivity, not to mention a myriad of graphical enhancements, new arenas, side-kicks, and Mushroom Kingdom madness that only the geniuses at Nintendo could provide! In a word, Strikers is brilliant; without question, it stands as one of the Wii's strongest first-party titles, one which gamers will undoubtedly enjoy throughout the duration of the innovative console's lifetime.

Graphically speaking, Strikers can be described as one of the Wii's most attractive no, downright visually stunning recent endeavors. With all of the PlayStation 2 software ports currently available on for the system, many gamers have grown disillusioned with the gaming world's publishing houses as well as with the Wii's allegedly 'inferior' graphical abilities (when compared to other next-gen consoles). Thankfully, Nintendo and Next Level games longtime toiled to ensure that Strikers defies this overarching criticism the game is truly of next-generation make. Mario, Peach, Bowser, heck, the whole cartoon crowd, has never looked or moved better; animations are ridiculously smooth whilst textures are deep and high-resolution. Particle explosions, crowd movements, and lighting effects also aim to please, seeing as all of which have been pain-painstakingly developed so as to appear "wow-worthy" on-screen.

As far as gameplay goes, what makes Strikers a winner is Nintendo's unique ability to push a somewhat generic gaming genre (action sports) beyond its usual restrictions and in doing so, create a title as chaotic as it is frenzied fun to play! Acting as the Mario Kart for soccer, Strikers Charged takes an athletic core concept then radically reforms it into a surreal platformer/party/sporting experience. Matches are short and sweet, lasting just around three minutes time. During your 180 seconds of gameplay, innumerable obstacles (like flying cows, turtleshells, banana peels, bombs, chain-chomps, etc) explosions (lava rushes, artillery fire), special moves (ground-pounds, character enlargements, periods of momentary invincibility or increased agility), and environmental nuisances (think tornadoes and lightning) will plague your efforts to bring home a win. So much action occurs simultaneously that at times, one can hardly determine who's who and to where the ball has disappeared but within the confines of such confusion lies the heart of Strikers; the game is about as bombastic as athletics can get in a fantasy land where nothing is as it seems and little, if anything, goes according to plan.

Lastly, one cannot chronicle this game's successes without describing the microcosm that is the Strikers WiFi Community. Being one of the Wii's first truly "online" gaming titles, users nationwide (the game currently restricts international play) can compete against each other in live, lag-free internet-based matches. The WiFi configuration is especially intuitive and takes less than a minute to auto-select a rival gamer, confirm settings, and launch the match. For online gamers, this is nothing less than unbridled bliss~

If you hold even an acute interest in Mario-based gaming, buy this title; if you somewhat enjoy online gaming, buy this title; heck, even if you customarily loathe sports games, buy this title.

You truly will not be disappointed.

PROS -

+ Beautifully rendered cinematics & in-game graphics; for perhaps the first time on the Wii, the visuals leave absolutely nothing to be desired.

+ Music and sound effects are fitting and succeed in delighting gamers, not annoying them.

+ Action is fast-paced, frenzied, and all too fun; replayability is especially high.

+ Making use of the Wii's WiFi Connection, gamers can now battle online with friends and foes alike.

+ A myriad of gaming modes allow for extended or abbreviated play, depending upon what one's time allows and his or her gaming preferences.

CONS -

-WiFi matches lack voice or text communication capabilities so although you may challenge your friends, verbal or textual taunting remains absent.

-AI difficulty settings sometimes radically change without reason; one can win a given cup with little to no effort but then during a reprise, can fail to even reach the elimination round.

Honest reviews on Mario Strikers Charged

I am not a fan of sports games I don't like football, soccer, baseball, etc games on a game console. However Nintendo has managed to make this particular game very fun to play. It will be too "arcady" for real sports games fans, but for people who just want fun gameplay this is the game for you.

Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Mario Strikers Charged

Mario Strikers Charged is a vast improvement on its original predesesor with more strategy, better Mega-shots, improved sidekicks, and stadiums that fight back.

the basics from the original are still here. you got your captains with their Mega-shots, the sidekicks, tournements, and stadiums but each one is tweaked slightly. for one, new captains are introduced and new sidekicks come into play, each with their own skill rating that adds onto the strategy of building the perfect team. each sidekick also comes equiped with their own little powershot that can have an array of effect and the Mega-shots can now shoot up to six times which means if your the goalie, you have to quick with your pointer to stop the oncoming balls.

another cool feature is the ball, which changes color the more times you hit it or charge it. purple being the lowest and white being the highest, which means you have a better chance to score.

a very cool bonus feature is the inclusion of Wi-Fi, so you can play other players online. great add on but make sure your opponent has a good connection otherwise the game play becomes very sluggish and you could lose connection. other then that, great new feature!

and just like before, you have your tournements composing of the Fire cup, Crystal cup, and Striker cup. this is where my one complaint comes in. while the first two tournements are pretty simple to get through, the Striker cup is near impossible! for one, the enemey AI goes up drastically, not giving players a chance to adjust to the sudden change in gameplay. but what really frusturates me is not the enemy AI but the knock-out round of the competition where one lose and you have to start the tournement all over again. it is so frusturating when you make it to the final knock-out round, only to get sent packing and having to start the tournement all over again! and what makes it worse is you can't simply restart your Wii, otherwise its an automatic lose.

so kudos to the makers for improving the game but they could have at least made the Striker cup a bit fairer, i mean, i don't remember the Star cup being this difficult.

I read about this product before it came out. When it came out at the 29.99 price point, that seemed like too much. You can buy the game of the year edition of each of these games for 20 bucks, and both have a lot of DLC that this package does not come with. So initially I was just going to keep waiting for the GOTY editions to go down a little in price. But I was able to get this while it was on sale for 19.99, and for someone who will probably not even get around to the DLC, that was a steal.

So far I have only played oblivion for about 5 hours (the game has already been reviewed to death so I wont go into detail) but it quite fun and definitely not outdated. The graphics are still quite spectacular despite it being 8 years old. Yes, you do get slower loading times than you would expect (installing to your hard drive cuts them down a bit) and the framerate is a little low at times, but overall the graphics are very very impressive.

I may or may not get around to updating this review once I have spent a bit more time with these gameslet me know if you'd like me to.

If I didn't already own these two games, I would buy this. Fallout and Oblivion both have HUGE free roam maps that hold hours and hours of side quests. In both games you can join the "good" or the "bad" side. Oblivion takes place during medieval times. Weapons include swords, axes, bows, and magic spell you can makeup yourself. In Fallout it is setup after a nuclear war. Weapons can be crazy. If you like guns than this one would be better for you. You can use baseball bats, knifes, pistols, rocket launchers and every gun in-between. If you find the right gun, ANYTHING can be used as a weapon. Both games have good story lines and they can go in multiple directions depending on your choices. Rent them if you want to try first (you would pay more if you rented them vs buying them and finishing them because they take so long to beat) :D

I had never played either of these games before I bought the double pack and Ive gotten about 70 hours play time out of them and counting. Reviews about the games themselves are easy to find so go look at them and if they sound like something you would like to play then the Double Pack is a great investment.

Honest reviews on Fallout 3 & Oblivion Double Pack - Xbox 360

After playing Skyrim I wanted to play Oblivion one last time, so I picked this up. Having just spent countless hours on Skyrim it was difficult to go back to Oblivion. The game play and layout is so vastly improved from Oblivion I was actually a little disappointed. The only other complaint with this great price is that neither game comes with instructions. Having never played Fallout 3 this was frustrating. I am not sure why the games did not come with the foldout instructions, but it was a cheap way to save a buck and had I known I would have purchased the games individually for a small fraction more.

Overall I think the WWE 2K14: The Phenom Edition is a great buy. It comes with nice steel tin coffin box, a copy of WWE 2K14, Disc 1 of the WWE Undertaker The Streak DVD, an exclusive Undertaker-themed controller skin, the Undertaker ABA DLC and the Ultimate Warrior DLC code, and my favorite, a collectible art card personally autographed by Undertaker.

One thing to note is that (at least for my copy) the ink from the pen The Undertaker used when signing my card looks fresh and new. I like that. I will be getting a frame to frame it and hang it up on my wall. Also, the Undertaker-themed controller skin fits very nicely on my XBOX 360 controller. As for the DVD, I have yet to watch it. I will edit upon this review when I do.

I highly recommend picking this up for the autograph, controller skin, DVD and tin coffin box. We all know 2K will release the DLC later on.

Very awesome game and fun to play. On the downside, certain matches were left out that should have been in 30 years of Mania. Mostly Warrior vs. Savage and Batista vs. HHH. Overall a fun experience though. If you get the option stick with the Standard edition of the game as this version is just lacking overall for the price. My autographed Undertaker card was bent up somehow even though it was in the package and for $100, it just doesn't have enough extras to justify the cost. Also, the American Badass Undertaker DLC is inaccurate as it has his music for after he cut his hair as opposed to American Badass or even Rollin'. As stated, overall fun game, but shy away from this edition and just get the Standard instead.

Would be perfect if it wasn't for the bugs. Also, Defeat the Streak is rage inducingly hard. Defend the Streak gets annoying after 25 eliminations (the half way point for the big secret achievement), and to top it off... the audio tends to mute itself. The strikes are faster, and there is a smaller reversal window.

The positives? Roster is stacked, including DLC and AI has improved. Running attack spamming is MUCH harder. 30 Years of Wrestlemania is a nice trip down memory lane. Phenom Edition is worth it for the Taker fan. American Badass DLC with his LEGIT signature? Glad I got it...

I would give this a 7.5 out of 10

I like many others have been waiting a year for this game to finally make it onto the PC from the Xbox. I don't have an Xbox, but my buddy does so I was able to play the game quite a bit, and I really got into it. I have been waiting ever since to finally be able to play this game myself on the computer. And when I heard they would be releasing it with even more content, I got even more excited. I was not expecting that, but am very glad that they did nonetheless.

Some people may complain it might still be a little on the shorter end (in comparision to other games on the market) but I for one do not care. The game is so intriguing and simply FUN to play, that I can look past this. And also, being able to go through the entire game several times (being good, being bad, and then good again, etc.) and doing different things each time like at the end is awesome and lengthens the game's life anyways.

It is just like the Xbox version in that you can keep playing after the final boss which is nice. That way if you missed any side quests you can still complete them if you would like.

The graphics look real sharp too. You can see battle scars and notice as your character ages which is really cool.

For those who are into using a lot of the Will Powers, there are plenty to choose from but unfortunately you can only have two in your quick-access menu. For the rest you actually have to bring up the Will Powers menu to select them. I'd prefer to just be able to asign hot keys for all them, but its forgivable.

For those who have played the original several times through, there isn't too much different until u get to head to the new area they added, which I found to be really enjoyable.

There is one quirk that I have noticed so far, and it is relatively minor. That is the controls. The default setup just doesnt feel right. Like it has the middle mouse button being the block button, which just doesnt work for me. And the lock-on button seems a little out of place too. But luckily like almost all games, the controls are customizable so its no big deal. After some customization I was back to tearing up bandits :)

In short, it's definitely worth a look, and in my opinionworth buying. You shouldnt be disappointed with this game.

I hesitated a good while before picking this game up at a bargain price. Based upon various reviews and player feedback, I assumed that this game would be like 10 hours long, a bit buggy, and dumbed down. Fortunately, none of this was the case. I had some good fun with this over a weekend (yes, it can be finished over a weekend) and didn't come across a single bug. Fable is not in the same league as Morrowind, Oblivion, Gothic 2, or some of the other great roleplaying games (RPG) out there, but it does provide an enjoyable diversion.

Gameplay: The controls are the typical WASD keys and mouse commands found in most single-player RPGs. The game is fairly easy to learn and navigate. The story traces the hero from childhood through adulthood, when he'll have to, you know, save the world. There are no character classes per se, but you can roughly play as a warrior, magic-user, or stealth/archer character, or some mixture of these. Much of the story centers around a main quest line, but there are a number of side quests available. Unlike most RPGs, quests are assigned by quest cards that you pick up at the Heroes Guild (lol! That's what it's actually called). It's a rather artificial-feeling system, but it's functional. Progression in the game is quite linear. In most instances, you will not be able to even leave the beaten patch, since fences, rocks, and invisible barriers won't allow it. Compared to more open-ended RPGs like the Elder Scrolls series, Fable seems restrictive and light weight in this regard. Overall, it's a decent story, but it is rather force-fed to you.

The game includes several interesting touches. People react to you based upon whether you've performed good or bad deeds. If you roleplay like a saint, you'll eventually have a halo and butterflies floating around. Ladies (and guys) will worship you, and you do have the option to buy a home and marry (multiple times if you'd like). If you play as an evil character, you'll eventually grow horns and fall out of favor with polite company. The nonplayer characters in the game, at least in the towns, have jobs and schedules. They work during the day and sleep at night, though only quest-related characters have anything to say of interest.

Although you can only play the game as the same guy, you can customize him with tattoos, facial hair, haircuts, and a (small) assortment of armor. You can control how your character's skills develop, but not as deeply as you can in a game like Morrowind or Baldur's Gate. There are other small things that you can do, such as fish, play games of chance, and treasure hunt. Overall, this game takes about 20-25 hours to do everything it has to offer, so it is rather short for an RPG.

The things that I didn't much care for are not major, but simply underscore the light-weight nature of this particular game. The game is certainly designed to appeal to the adolescent crowd, with hotkeys for burping, farting, and so forth. The various tattoo styles and haircuts further highlight this point. There is nothing really offensive in the game; it just feels a bit immature in places. Also, the save system is based mostly on the checkpoint model. You can't save just anywhere (at least your quest progress will not save), but the game will autosave at important junctures.

Graphics: The game looks quite good. Character models are convincing (though a bit cartoonish and often repeated), and the natural environment is screenshot beautiful in some places. Since the pathing is fairly restrictive, much of the scenary is noninteractive. It's not like Oblivion or Gothic 2, where if you can see it then you can probably travel to it.

Sounds: Voice acting is pretty good, with the usual British accents that invariably seem to accompany such games. The music is particularly well done and appropriate for the various atmospheres. Ambiant sounds are also decent.

Replayability/Technical Issues: The game is probably worth playing twice: once as a good guy and once as a bad guy. It will play similarly either way, but there are different ways to perform certain quests depending on your moral disposition. Technically, the game was perfectly stable on my computer--no freezes, crashes, or other problems. The manual is decent and explains much of the game, along with the in-game tutorial.

If you like RPG games and can get this one cheap, go for it. It's a well-polished, though simple, rump through a fairly well rendered world. Don't expect the same character depth, engrossing story, or exploring options that you'll find in some of the games that I mentioned above. However, Fable: The Lost Chapters is good for several hours of entertainment.

Best Deals for Fable: The Lost Chapters - PC

When I bought it I was hoping for Morrowind with more features. What I got was a very pretty game, with some new features, but was too short, didnt have enough story, was way more linear than advertised, was too easy and too expensive. When I finished I didnt get that satisfied feeling like I normally get after finishing a good game or a good book. I will probably only play through it once more just to see the other ending.

Graphics were excellent, combat was intuitive, nice spell selection (not too many spells), I loved some of the visual things they added like tatoos, scarring, hair cuts, you can become fat or skinny depending on what you eat, get big muscles or have no muscles. These and other what I consider small but integral things should definitely be in future RPGs. Some pretty big things were missing though.

First you cannot play the game as a female charater. Im a guy, but hey some times I like to play games as a female. Second, the story was very thin, hardly any character development. Interaction with NPCs is way too mechanical. Over the game you age about 25-40 years but hardly anything happens to flesh out who you are in relation to the other characters. Sure you can get married, be come good or evil, big and strong or small and magical but why should I care about you as a character? Why do other characters in the story care about you? Why should I care about any of the other characters in the game. We learn basically nothing about anyone except basic events in their life, nothing about what they like or dislike, what theyve done, what motivates them. I mean, you learn more about the mercenaries you can hire from their side comments and interaction with each other than you do about the character's sister or his school roomate who play major roles. I very much missed the dialog and character depth, both payable sexes, and multiple races of Morrowind and Neverwinter Nights.

The game was just too darn easy and it doesnt have any way to increase the difficulty. I blasted through it in a weekend and did most of the side quests (even though they were mostly for money, which you have too much of anyway) and even the extra area they very obviously tacked on at the end. The only way I found to make it more difficult was to run around naked and use less expensive weapons. The early game was good but by the middle and definitly at the end I was destroying everything. The bosses are all way too predictable and with a little magic, some parrying and a few potions you barely even get injured most of the time by the normal enemies. There was never a time when I was killed or thought I might die.

I really hope there is a Fable II because I think they could do a better job, even if they reused the graphics engine and just hired some better story deveoplers they could make a much more enjoyable game.

Of course maybe my preference for story driven games is what makes me dislike aspects of this predominatley hack and slasher.

Honest reviews on Fable: The Lost Chapters - PC

I've been a fan of Peter Molyneux's work for a while. I waited for Black & White and found the concept was brilliant, but the game itself was a little lacking. Fable:The Lost Chapters fulfills all the expectations I had for Black & White. It's an amazing game where you can have a completely different experience every time you play it. Every decision you make within the game has an effect on the storyline, your appearance and how you are seen by NPCs within the game. FTLC does this without the boring peasant maintainence which was a major detracting factor of Black & White.

Visually, the game is stunning in parts and average in others. Characters hands seem to be unusually large in proportion to the rest of their body at times. There is nothing in the graphics that detracts from the overall enjoyment or playability of this game however. If you have a decent graphics accelerator, there's really nothing bad to say here. I found the graphics style fun and entertaining. It's a mix of realistic and cartoon art that works well for the genre.

The only suggestions I have for improving upon this game would be to make it longer. Once you start playing, it can be addictive and it seems to fly bye. There were a few avenues that developers could have taken to expand on this game, but the replayability makes up for this since there are so many different possibilities to explore within the limitations of the storyline.

I can't wait for Fable 2.

For KC Oaks, the problem lies not in the game but her/his computer. This game works beautifully with my nVidia 3VGA 7600 GT card.

Okay, true that the game is kinda short, but you can't cheat on a god mode, so it's not like you're gonna finish it in a day or 2. & for only $20 you're getting you're money's worth; the game is both fun & highly amusing, nothing seems cliche & many things are unexpected. The environment is beautiful, the soundtrack is beautiful, just like American McGee's Alice's OST. Cheaters will have to rely on the games exploits; many seem to have been almost added to the game on purpose because of their humorous nature. Down the line, all games become tiresome at some point, but you'll end up wanting to play the game at least once a year. I'm already looking forward to Fable 2.

I've been waiting for this product to hit my doorstep for 2 weeks, not just because the facility may have been far, but because something stupid happened with this thing getting here. According to the Amazon tracker, this product went from Bell Gardens, CA to Jacksonville, FL. AND I LIVE IN CALIFORNIA. After complaining about this to HDE, I guess they shipped another one or rerouted the other one to my house in CA. Such a waste of time that could've been avoided probably, but whatever.

Other than the terrible shipping problem, the product itself is good. I was able to open my white Xbox 360 and fix my RROD. Still if you have an option to not order from this place, just consider my experience. Could've just been a bad week/month for them, but still.

I did not have any issues downloading and starting up the game on my MacBook. The download its self did not take any longer than about 20 minutes. The new additions to the game make it more fun and more like the Sims 2. The issue I noticed on my computer at least is that when playing in the city Bridgeport everything seems to move slow. The apartments all only have 1 bedroom in them and I do not think that you can add more unless you can make room. I think you can't add walls. Thats a problem to me, because I wanted to move in a family of 3 into one of the apartments. Overall it seems like a pretty fun game and it has added lots of new things, I would recommend this Mac Download.

Best Deals for The Sims 3: Late Night - Expansion Pack

After reading all the dubious and not-so-dubious reviews about this download working or not I decided to give it a try. I didn't have any problem downloading. However, once installed it proved incompatible with my current version of Sims and Sims Showtime. I had to delete both and re-install Sims 3 in order for everything to work. I have not yet reinstalled Showtime for fear that it will glitch again. I've had Late Night for a few weeks now and I can tell you that, no, it is not worth the price. Aside from the cool aspect of being a vampire Late Night's other features prove annoying and time consuming.

Star RatingsThe whole point of Late Night is to bring your zero stars up to a five star so you can become a celebrity. Once you are at five stars you are now the highest ranking celebrity. You can get into any bar or club, you are also privy to exclusive giveaways that are randomly gifted to you just for being so magnificent, and you will be worshipped and asked for photos whenever you leave the house.

Also, the paparazzi will stand out on your lawn, every two to three hours you will have a false rumor spread about you that will bring your Sim's mood down for 3 days until or unless you sue the media or pay them off, and you will be invited to parties every night.

To gain stardom you must complete tasks like befriending a celebrity, dancing at a particular bar, or, depending on your vocation, some job-related feat that takes away from time you could be doing something else. Also, if you have kids the children gain stars/celeb points by virtue of birth/acquaintance with Mom or Dad.

Clubs/BarsUnless you populate your world with lots of sims--by which I mean create Sims and put them into apartments--there will be only three people at the club when you show up. You, the bouncer, and the bartender(mixologist). If the club is a Hotspot, you may be lucky enough to have a least two or three people in attendance. What is a club or bar without patrons? Pretty freaking boring, that's what. At the bars you can order drinks or 'bar food' and you can also converse with the mixologist or dance. (Also with enough skill you can moonlight as a mixologist, but your only customer will probably be the mixologist you're covering for.)

Vampires--Meeting a vampire is relatively easy. You'll want to hang around the ritzy Plasma 101 (I think its called for obvious reasons). Vampires hang in or around it all the time. Unless your Sim is imbued with the brave trait any time a vampire comes into proximity with your Sim they will have a little 'hunted' symbol show up in the moods box. You must befriend a vampire before they will offer to turn you or you can ask to be turned. Becoming a vamp takes approx 3 days. Good: Super-speed, no fatigue no matter how much your vamp works out and best of all the rapid ability to accumulate skills. A vamp can master an instrument or skill overnight. Bad: If you want to master the gardening skill you'd be better off with a human. Vamps are very limited in their outdoor time as night is only so long. The sun becomes an enemy for any outdoor task. (edit: Vampires life span about 300-400+) days before aging after they reach young adulthood).

Clothes: Showtimes clothes were actually better. The new outfits you'll receive are not really worth it. Buying some points on the main site and going shopping for things 'you' like would probably be more profitable in the long run.

Traits: I think there are about 3 or 4 new traits. Seriously they should expand the number of traits available. All of them get old pretty quickly.

Apartments: Horribly small, limited design with time-consuming entry. You cannot build anything in an apartment building. Most of the apartments are 1br, 1bth. You can live in a house on the outskirts of the city but land is limited and hilly and most of the houses are nothing like the ones in the original Sims.

Butler: Is a new feature. You can hire a butler for something like 1000+ daily. I only did so once so I can't remember the exact price. You'll have to provide a bed for him/her. I advise you to do so only after you've mastered the cooking skill if so desired. When the butler cooks there is no need for you to.

Extras: Furniture: Horribly lacking. Cars: A big joke. Hair: The worse in Hollywood.

In summarization the only things worth two cents in this game are the vampires and even they have their limitations. Wait til the price lowers a bit more--of course that could happen when Sims 4 comes out but you aren't missing much.

Honest reviews on The Sims 3: Late Night - Expansion Pack

So the game adds a ton of awesome things as everyone has said. There's no question there. I was worried when I got this because many reviews said that it did not work for them at all. Luckily it did for me and I was loving it, the game ran smoothly and it was fine. Until I started to use bridgeport as the town. Everything takes a ridiculous amount of time. CAS works fine, but it's really just the gameplay that suffers. Which sucks. But basically, it took about 3 hours (sim time) for my sim to go from inside his apartment to outside and about 4 more to get them anywhere in town. It's not that the game freezes or anything, the sim just stands there and doesn't do anything. Also sometimes during buy mode, when I try to place furniture the mouse freezes and the only way I can move the furniture is by pressing the arrows to move the view around. It's strange. Otherwise the game is great.

After finishing the game, I have been forced to edit my review.

I was a huge fan of Fable 2, I loved the interaction with the people, the cities, and how you could make the game your own. Fable 3 is a good successor to the Fable storyline. The main plot is engaging and the wit/humor found within keeps you laughing. The game does a good job of mixing up the action, bringing you to different places and having you accomplish varying tasks throughout.

However, Fable 3 is essentially a cut down version of Fable 2. While removing the menus was generally a good thing, the Fable 3 team went too far. I list the Pros/ Cons here, but my final verdict is that unless you know what is coming at the end of the game, the end decision will ruin the endgame (the part after the plot is done) almost guaranteed. I won't give away anything, but I strongly recommend you either be willing to play through twice, or rent the game. I was extremely angry at the Fable team after the plot was over. Forcefully shutting my xbox off, controller on the ground, angry.

Pros-

-No Menus

When I say no menus, I mean none what so ever, instead you have your sanctuary. An area that you can instantly teleport to whenever you want. Inside is your armory, dressing room, trophy room etc. All your items are displayed on mannequins and on the wall so you can pick and choose without going through layers and layers of menus. Even saving has an area in your sanctuary (not very obvious in the beginning). It sounds like it would be weird, but it really adds to the immersion of the game and works very well. A big map does the traveling when you can select areas for your indicator trail to go (same as fable 2) or fast travel to the areas that you've already visited. You can also zoom in on cities that you've visited and see more information about them. The entire idea may sound weird, but it really adds to the continuity of the game.

-Alive weapons

When I heard in the trailer that the weapons were 'alive' and would change as we used them I thought it would be neat, but weapons probably wouldn't be that different. Boy was I wrong. A friend came into my world, same levels as I was, and ALL of our weapons were totally different. I'm not saying the designs or colors, but EVERYTHING. Shape, size, color, symbols/color of symbol. Everything. This provides a very cool customization of weapons.

-World is much bigger

And I'm not kidding, after eight or nine hours of Fable 2 you basically had explored everything. I've played at least that much and have only seen five or six of the at least twenty or so villages/areas. It's huge.

-No allocation of skill points

Unlike Fable 2, where you had to choose areas to put your different skill points into, Fable 3 has a much more streamlined process. You get (basically xp, but I forget what they are called) which are earned through kills, quests, and talking to villages. Inside the sanctuary you can visit this area called 'Road to the Kingdom' or something along those lines. Inside, there is a figurative path on how close you are to ruling Albion, with chests and gates along the way. Every little way in the game, a gate is opened allowing you access to more chests, which can be opened with a requisite amount of 'xp'.

-Better Graphics

Title basically speaks for itself. The graphics are more polished although I have encountered some stuttering.

-More

Very generally, more spells, more swords, more people, and more flourishes. You can weave spells together to create amazing effects. (fire and ice robert frost style anyone?

-Amazing Variety

I have YET to find myself doing something to the point where I am bored of it. It maintains continuity throughout but manages to stay away from just 'bashing your way through'. You never know what you'll have to do next, from interacting with villagers to make them like you, romancing a married woman to get her to divorce her husband that doesn't want her, to playing as the hero inside a dungeons and dragons game.

-Combat

In Fable 2, you could pretty much bash your way through anything without having to worry about finesse. That's gone... In just about every battle I have been pushed to roll and block in order to keep the enemies from overpowering me. The enemies are various, and they always have one or two strong guys that really make you feel pressured while fighting.

-More realistic villagers

In Fable 2, if you had enough renown basically everyone loved you. Its a little harder in Fable 3. If you want that girl/guy as your significant other you need to work for it a bit more.

-Pro/Con (can't tell)

You no longer get money when the game is shut off like Fable 2. This is good, and bad. It makes it so it is much harder to get gold, but also stops the Fable 2 money cheat.

-Cons

-Graphics stuttering

The graphics have a tendency to lag or stutter during the game. This can ruin your 'lute hero' chain, and is just annoying. You can, however, download the game to your xbox hard drive which will eliminate the stuttering.

-Lack of interactivity

When conversing with a villager, you have two emotes to choose from. A 'good' emote and an 'evil' emote. If you want to shake hands with someone, but your only good option is to dance then your stuck with dancing with them. This is very annoying, and makes me miss the emote wheel from Fable 2. The world of Fable 3 also feels shallower than the world of Fable 2. This could be because I didn't really try to get to know the world until after I became king and the 'big choice' which impacts the game quite a bit.

-The choice

After you become king, you are faced with a giant choice. Unless you specifically prepare for it, I almost guarantee it will ruin your game/day. I was NOT happy.

The first part of the game was excellent, wit and humor was hilarious. Plot was twisting with many old characters brought back (reaver, therese). The end choice literally ruined a lot of it for me though.

***SEMI SPOILER***

If you don't want the end choice to make you very, very angry save a lot of gold. When I say a lot, I mean a lot. (~10 million). It is, however, easier to make gold. In about 20 minutes you can have around 100,000 which then can be invested into property. Keep investing until you get a lot of income per income cycle, then wait till you have the requisite amount of gold

SPOILER ALERT!

Having enjoyed Fable 2 to the fullest extent, you can imagine how excited I was to finally bring home Fable 3. After beating F3 in about two days, I am so upset I could almost cry. I will list the good and bad (or evil) as follows:

1. I liked the larger gameplay areas, but hated the lack of maps. How in the heck am I supposed to know where I'm going when led by a glowing trail that leads me into walls or the edge of a cliff?

2. Having more than one choice of dog breed was cool, but sometimes he leads me to 'treasure' when there is nothing there. Must be one of the many glitches I have heard so much about.

3. Hated having to repair houses and other real estate, especially since the game does not give you a 'repair all' option, and there is no indicator on each town's map to tell you that you have homes that need repairing. It may have been more bearable if the homes actually looked fixed up upon hitting the repair button, but they just look the same, which is really stupid.

4. The lack of different clothing outfits was extremely dissapointing after Fable 2's extensive collection, especially if you're a female gamer, and the makeup was ugly and unflattering. More hairstyles would have been great to choose from as well, which brings me to...

5. The shopping! Where are all the humorous and creative item descriptions we have come to know and love from Fable 2? Absolutely nowhere! I was really looking forward to reading some new ones. It also really sucks that you can't carry more than one kind of food at a time, which brings me to...

6. The health meter! or lack of it, I should say. Enough said.

7. The new Hero Sanctuary system would have pleased me more if it would have allowed you to see how many health potions or food items you had.

8. The lack of interesting items to be found in the furniture of homes will bore you to tears after three houses. You will also have about 3,000 pairs of pajamas by the end of the game, along with a lifetime supply of mutton.

9. As someone else stated, there is absolutely ZERO warning that the final battle sequence is about to take place. It was lucky for me that I had about a dozen health potions, or I never would have made it through alive.

10. If you are playing as a 'good' character, the game does not give you enough quests that focus on replenishing your depleted treasury while keeping all your 'promises' to fix Albion and Aurora. Also, although I bought up all the real estate I could, while keeping a 'normal' rent rate, I still could barely break out of the negative treasury $ by the time all promises were kept. The game simply does not give you enough time to raise sufficient funds if you play as a 'good' character. What really made me mad at the end after the final boss battle was this sickening message that even though I was the ideal 'good' and well-loved monarch, the people could care less about my victory over the Crawler because the dead outnumbered the living. What was the point of being good then? Which brings me to my next point: An empty world. After I beat the game, there is nobody left but friggin' guards. I wanted to get married, but there was barely anybody left, and NO SHOPS TO BUY HEALTH POTIONS! By this time, I had over 5 million gold, but had to resort to stealing in order to find a wedding ring and potions to do quests with, because there were no stores open. Lionhead, why did you do this, especially to a character who tried to always make 'good' choices? After getting married though, all the people miraculously returned...I'll never know if that was a coincidence, or just the fact that I had a royal wedding.

11. Since the Spire is clearly visible from the island town of Driftwood, it would have been great to have a quest there as part of the main storyline. I also prefer having Teresa as my guide, instead of that butler.

12. Seeing Reaver was pretty cool, but it would have been nice to see Garth and Hammer as well, to find out what their stories were, or possibly go on a quest with them. Yes, I know, it is pretty clear that Fable 2 is my favorite of the series.

13. The expression system stinks, although I do like some of the newer ones like hand-holding, hugging, kiss, cuddle, and tickle. I hate not having all of them at my fingertips like in F2. Being able to take a person on a date was nice too.

14. Upon beating the game, there is nothing left but boring quests, and there is absolutely no good and evil versions of the same quests during the course of the whole game. The lack of choices is unnerving, along with the lack of neutral choices. The entire game seems bent on using you as a charity fund. Also, there is only one opportunity to raise or lower the taxes to replenish the treasury.

Well, that brings me to the end of my review. I'm sure I will edit it as I find more disappointing things to put in, of which there are many. Rent this game first.

Another afterthought: The fact that your hero character talks just rubbed me the wrong way from the first time I heard her speak. It would be like playing a Zelda game and having Link suddenly stop being a mute;feels really awkward. How is the character supposed to best reflect your own personality if it keeps talking in a scripted dialogue? I just felt that I had to put this in because it really bothered me.

**SPOILERS AHEAD** We all heard about the "touch" expression system. The "innovation" in the interface. The "improved" combat. All of those fail on many levels. It attempts to rewrite the rules of the genre and does an awful job of it. I'll cover those in a minute.

My biggest issue? The king section's poor execution.

Example 1: The game refuses to play by its own rules. You earn money from your properties every five minutes of play time, correct? The time it takes you to walk from your house to the blacksmith can earn you $20,000 if you own enough property. That is why you buy stores and homes in the first place.

So, can someone please answer this: How is it that, as king, a month or more of game time can pass in an instant and you haven't earned a single extra golden dime from your properties? When you're walking the streets as king, you still earn money. However, when a king segment ends and you fast-forward in time say two months you receive no earnings. It doesn't compute how much you should have earned in those 60 days. Your potential earnings just disappear into limbo.

Money is the sole key to Albion's fate. People will live or die based on how much gold you've got in your coffers. It's a literal $1 to 1 life ratio. Yet, just when you need it the most, they take away that mechanic. Over the course of a game year the game skips ahead at enormous, irregular intervals such as three months as opposed to a standard 30 day month so you have no accurate gauge as to how fast you need to earn that money.

My wife and I ended up just leaving the game on overnight when we realized what was going on. During one of the (very) few action segments of the king chapter, we left our character in a castle room, bound the controller stick with a rubber band to keep it from pausing out and earned a ton of $$ from our properties. It doesn't want to play by its own rules? We won't play by them either.

I'm not one to use cheats, exploits, or "God" codes in games. I find cheating takes away the fun and challenge of a game, which is what I play for in the first place. That said, I did not feel bad in the least doing what I did. We used no codes or trickery. We simply did what the game *should* have done. Considering the amount of backlash the "king" portion of the game has received for its gross imbalances, I made the right decision.

Example 2: Zero grey area or thought put into the king's choices. One of the choices involves Aurora, which wants to become a part of Albion. The good choice rebuilding Aurora with a fort and letting them join Albion immediately will cost $200,000. Reaver's suggestion is for them to pay you a $500,000 dowry of sorts by mining a mineral deposit located in Aurora.

My question is this: if you let them join Albion now, won't that mine be yours anyway? I mean, Aurora is now your land. You can extract what you want from it. So... why would following the "good" road cost you $200,000 instead of earning you just $300,000? ($500K worth of mine $200K of rebuilding = $300K left over, no?) It makes no sense whatsoever.

And your other choices? Orphanage or brothel? Sewage or tree hugging? People who want their happy, pretty cake AND for you to save them from the horrible "darkness". They are all so very black and white. Politics are often about compromise. I realize Fable is not intended to be a political system simulator, but it should have at least some grasp of human nature. In WWII, when the USA was threatened by the Axis, everyday people sacrificed food, materials, clothing and more for the sake of the armed forces. That the people of Albion would be so oblivious is beyond me.

As for the other things...

Touch Expression: Sure, you can interact people now, but you can't express yourself. There are no choices beyond "good" or "evil". In lieu of a natural friendship progression wave, shake hands, hug now your first contact with someone is playing patty cake or executing a perfect dance number (complete with lift). It's a ridiculous, disappointing change from Fable II's "expression wheel". It's like someone giving you a sports car but ordering you to drive only in straight lines on a 50 foot long track. What's the point of that power when you can't tell it in which direction to go?

Interface: The sanctuary is a clunky, time consuming mess. The "old" list method from Fable II is not as pretty, but is far more expedient. Running from room to room and cycling/paging through the limited display of items took far more time than Fable II's list system. I did like the world map feature. It made it easy to navigate and manage your quests. However, when dealing with your property, a simple dedicated "repair 100%" button would have been nice when you highlight a property, instead of having to drill down into each property's sub menu. What about a "repair all" feature for a region?

XP vs. Guild Seals: Calling a cat a horse doesn't make it a horse, nor does it make you clever.

Lag/Stutter: The game is ridiculously buggy. I've had quests disappear without reason, horrendous framerate stutter at random times, speech glitches, loading glitches, and more. I have not played a game this buggy since Price of Persia: Warrior Within. I haven't fallen through a wall yet in Fable III, so POP:WW is still on top of that junk pile.

Jasper (aka the Used DLC Salesman): While I liked Jasper at the beginning, I quickly came to loathe him. It seemed every time I visited the sanctuary all he did was hawk DLC to me. The only DLC available at the time was the dog suit. I looked at it, decided not to spend real $$ for a freaking dog suit. Yet, every time I hit the sanctuary, there was Jasper prodding me to buy the "new" outfit, even though I'd looked at it several times to try and convince him I was well and truly familiar with this horrible example of fashion. I swear to God, the next time I hear "a fetching new outfit" I'm going to slay a villager.

Combat: What combat? There is no strategy and the AI is weak. The only enemies that gave me a run for the money were the Balvarines. Combat largely consists of spamming the attack of your choice. And, if you want to be even lazier, just charge up a combination fireball/force push spell and you'll barely be touched. One or two repeats and you'll clear almost any room. Add in a friend/spouse on coop and you'll breeze through. In my entire playthrough, I got knocked out exactly once, and it was because I was bored and started fooling around.

In conclusion... It's an action RPG that fails at both the action and the RPG parts. All the new things the game brought to the table are soundly borked. Poor expression and combat system. Interface design. The king chapter. The graphics are only a minor improvement over Fable II. The storyline and characters aren't as great they make themselves out to be (although I did like Walter).

I honestly don't know what the professional reviewers from gaming sites and mags are talking about when they give this game 8's and 9's out of 10. Stay away from this one.

Honest reviews on Fable III - Xbox 360

I'm not a hardcore gamer. My life is full of one husband, four dogs, three jobs, and a few time-consuming hobbies. I don't have the time, energy, or interest to spend hours hooked up to my Xbox or Wii. And yet, somehow, even on my tight schedule, I managed to finish Fable 3 in less than a week of sporadic play.

But worse than the short game (Oblivion and Fallout 3 each took months to complete, Assassins Creed several weeks) was the fact that the storyline and the quests...well, they were mostly terrible.

I'll try to do this without throwing in too many spoilers, but for sensitive types: THERE MAY BE SPOILERS AHEAD. TURN BACK NOW.

FABLE 3: THE GOOD

1. It's pretty. It's no prettier than the first two, but they were both nice to look at.

2. It's gay. The Fable 3 world is a très LGBT-friendly world. In the first Fable, there were two NPCs available for gay marriage. In the sequel -which was also a disappointment -there were more. This go-round, it seems like half the planet is ready to get hitched or have a quickie behind the bushes, provided you do them a wee favor first. (See item #8 below.)

3. It requires tough choices. Unlike the first two installments of Fable, you can't be a goodie-goodie all the way through Fable 3. There comes a point where you have to make some very difficult decisions. Granted, they're boring, Sim City sort of decisions, like, should you raise the income tax rate? Should you preserve the forest or mow it down to make room for condos? Still, they provide some morally interesting plot points.

4. Your dog works better this time. Granted, he's no more useful than he was in #2, but at least he doesn't get lost now, which means you don't have to spend half an hour trying to find him.

5. You can dress like a chicken. (Seriously.)

FABLE 3: THE VERY, VERY BAD

6. Visually, it's no improvement over the other two. The original Fable came on strong, with dreamy landscapes and sunlight and chickens. Sadly, neither Fable 2 nor Fable 3 had any new tricks up their sleeves (except for those in item #2 above).

7. No jumping allowed. Seriously, your character can't jump. That stuff gets ooooold. Fable 3 isn't the only game with that problem, I know, but that's no excuse. You don't want me to jump? Build a freakin' wall, don't put a pebble in my way and tell me I'm trapped.

8. The quests are TERRIBLE. The main storyline is bearable, I'll give you that. It's broken into two major parts, and each is vaguely engaging. But the side quests -nearly all of them -involve running errands for NPCs: "Oh, hi, would you take this package to my business partner three villages over? Then I'll totally be your friend." And, "There's this thing -it's not really important, and you can't sell it or even use it -but it's buried in this random spot on top of an icy mountain crawling with monsters. Could you dig it up and bring it back for me?" It's like spending a Sunday afternoon with elderly relatives you don't like very much and constantly being asked to find the remote control.

9. It's short. Like I said, it's split into two parts. I finished the first in about three days and was momentarily very pissed off, until I realized that there was more ahead. And I thought, "Oh, this is interesting". Then I realized the second part was just a series of chores and unengaging side quests and "Should I build a school or a brothel?" Then, a few days later: poof. Done. Finito. Sure, you can still run around and do stuff after you complete the two main objectives, and I imagine the downloadable content is okay, but for $60, I've come to expect a little more than a well-tailored chicken suit.

Let me first say that I loved Fable and Fable 2. I was really shocked when I heard this game was coming out since it doesn't seem like that long ago that Fable 2 came out. I pre-ordered it and eagerly awaited my copy.

This game blows on pretty much every level for the following reasons:

It's full of glitches, big and small. I didn't see the game killing glitch that other people saw, but there are plenty of others. The dog doesn't play fetch and was terrible at pointing out treasure;

once my character was supposed to be making pies and her body was almost off the screen completely; that glowing light that leads your path was on drugs it tried to take me through a locked gate, several times it took me to the Academy even though my quest wasn't there (I guess it was trying to tell me I should be reading instead of playing the game), or it just disappeared altogether.

The world overall seems smaller than before and there just seems like less to do. You have to get people to like you to give you quests that just kind of fill up time and, really, that's just lame. Some people I know were proud that they owned everything there was to own, but honestly that just doesn't seem like it would be that hard to do because the towns are just kind of small. There really isn't that much to buy at the shops, the smaller ones only offer one item at a time and the amount of food you can carry is limited. That didn't matter because the game was insanely easy and I never even needed health potions. The magic was sadly pretty lame too. You can only use two spells at a time (after you unlock that ability) and to change them out you have to go back to your Sanctuary and change your clothes(??!!)

Also, there is only one save in this game, so if you want to go back and try something over...too bad! You'd have to start over completely.

But my biggest gripe, the totally unforgivable disappointment of this game I like playing the good character and am usually not all that interested in money. Without spoiling anything, I'll just mention that's a mistake with this game, BIG MISTAKE. It makes this game NOT IN ANY WAY ABOUT YOUR CHOICES ABOUT GOOD AND EVIL, but basically just how much money you have. Booorrriiinnngg. It made me feel like I had no real control over or connection to my character's actions. It actually made me really angry, which is why I'm writing this review. I want these game designers to apologize to me for wasting my time. Seriously.

Summary: don't waste your money. In fact, just play Fable or Fable 2 again instead.

Update: Here's a few more things that really bug me about this game interacting with people was simplified and ridiculous (why am I dancing with every total stranger that I meet? I wish at least once that some woman had slapped me for trying to do this), having to hold someone's hand when I want them to follow me somewhere (really grown man, I have to hold your hand or you'll just stand there?), repairing houses (tedious and doesn't add anything to the game. Is there a slum lord achievement for letting them all go to 0%?), not being able to find the gifts that my kids asked me for because I can't buy just anything from the gift store (I actually found myself standing in front of a gift shop yelling at the TV "but the teddy bear is right there! why can't I just buy it?! sad), not being able to put more than two kids in the palace (I adopted some kids and tried to move them in with my family in the palace and the game told me there wasn't enough room IN THE PALACE), that it took me two seconds to kill the final boss
