I think TekNmotion should let folks know there is no way to connect the Yapster Blaster headset to Xbox without buying some additional connection cords. It would have saved me some grief Christmas morning! Here's how I got the thing working (and this will only work if you connect your Xbox to your TV using an HDMI cable): Buy an "RCA audio cable adapter for Xbox 360 & Slim," available on Amazon for $1.44 RCA Audio Cable Adapter for XBOX 360 + Slim. Also buy a cord with the red and white male audio connectors on each end RiteAV RCA Stereo Audio Cable (6ft). Follow the headset's included instructions to connect the headset to the controller, etc. When it says to then (miraculously) connect it to the back of the Xbox, use the two items above and the thing will work.
The guy at Radio Shack suggested it might work by connecting the headset directly to the TV and skipping the Xbox altogether this, of course, would still involve the purchase of one of those red and white audio connectors. I'm guessing you could use one of the TV's USB inlets to power the headset. I haven't tried this, though, so I don't know if it would work.
As to sound quality, my boys say the headset sounds great and is very comfortable. They only have the cheap headset that came with the Xbox to compare it to, though.
3 Stars instead of 5 because of the connection hassles. Quality seems fine.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I'm a gamer and I'm not ashamed to admit it. I'm typically on the Left 4 Dead, Call of Duty, etc., etc.-type games on Xbox 360. The only un-gamerish thing about me is that I've never bought a full stereo headset in my life. However, I have tried friends' Turtle Beach-brand headsets and enjoyed them.Miraculously, this TekNmotion Yapster Blaster is a superior product to the Turtle Beach headsets . . . and a FRACTION of the cost!
For only $29.99, you can receive a solidly built, well manufactured, and great-sounding headset, vs. the sometimes hundreds of dollars that Turtle Beach charges.
I set this headset up to play Call of Duty: Black Ops and was scoring like I'd never done before. I could hear the entire environment, all the footsteps & gunshots, and knew exactly where it all was like I was on the Black Ops team in real life!
Final Verdict: Don't bomb away a hundred bucks on a set of Turtle Beaches. GET THESE!

I recently acquired an XBOX over Black Friday, and was on the hunt for some headphones to use with both my PC games and the games I got for the XBOX.When I purchase something online, I tend to obsess over my available options and the price vs. features for the products.
I stumbled across this headset while considering purchasing a Turtle Beach for around $60. I didn't really feel like spending that much, and found this for more than half the price ( I paid $22 when it was on sale).
The packaging was a bit flimsy, but the headset was nicely packaged and arrive unharmed. Overall, this headset is amazing, especially considering the price you pay. I have heard sections of bass in music that I have never heard before! They also work well with the XBOX, and there should be enough adapters to fit your set up.
The only (minor) complaint I have is the plastic used is not as solid as I expected it to feel. Not to say it feels "cheap," (it's actually fairly well built) but just be careful with the headset.
Also, I have noticed that not many reviews anywhere mention the cord length. It was around 8-9 feet, and even a bit longer with the amplifier attachment. If you plan on using these for a room (e.g., dorm room), you should have a range of motion that is plenty large enough to not feel tied down to the console or PC.
Comfort wise, they are as comfortable as pretty much any over the ear headphones like this. I have glasses, and if I wear them for a few hours, they do get a bit cumbersome, but that is the form factor and not due to the product. This is not a deal breaker for me, and really hasn't been that big of an issue. The padding on the headband is a nice plus too! They also block out sound pretty well, which is nice for studying (if I get the time between playing games :P )
Overall, a great product at a great price!
Honest reviews on TekNmotion Yapster Blaster Amplified Universal Headset for Xbox
I've only owned this headset for a couple of days, but I've gotta say it -this thing rocks!! I've used it playing multiplayer Call of Duty on Xbox, as well as other games and also on the PC. For being a stereo headset, it works marvelously. The sound quality is terrific. I formerly owned Turtle Beach X31's (until they broke!) and I honestly couldn't tell the difference between them. The sounds are crisp and powerful, while at the same time not overwhelming. It's a great feeling to get the drop on an opponent because you can hear their footsteps from halfway across the map.The design of the headset is simple, yet pleasing. It's not gaudy or audacious or overly-bulky -it is compact and comfortable. Setup is relatively straightforward, the 12 feet of cable is more than enough, and the microphone is easily adjustable/flexible, without being flimsy.
The only downside I could find with this headset is that there isn't a separate chat volume control. In order to change the chat volume without changing game volume, you have to manually go into the Xbox settings and adjust the volume to your liking. While it is a pain, this is only a minor setback, and can be easily overcome.
Finally, I've heard some other reviews from people who say that the headset is easily-breakable. I don't find this to be the case at all. The ear and headpieces are adequately sturdy while still providing comfort. I've twisted and pulled on the microphone, as well, and it doesn't seem like it would come apart without an effort. With care, I can see this headset lasting me quite a while. Just don't throw it around or stomp on it.
Overall, you're getting quality that is equal to that of more well-known brands, at a fraction of the price.

I received this headset from my ex-boyfriend last weekend to replace a pair of X11s that he chucked out the window when we broke up. Yeah I'm a girl gamer, what of it? I had never heard of this brand before, and at first I thought that he was being super cheap with me since its only $30. As it turns out, he just gave me the best kept secret in gaming headsets! This thing sounds abso-freaking-lutely incredible!I can't believe that I went around for years telling people that Turtle Beaches were the bees knees. This thing has plenty of deep and tight bass. Its super clear and crisp. And I can hear everything, every opfor footstep, every opfor reload, EVERYTHING! And even though its only stereo, I swear I can tell almost tell exactly where sniper shots are coming from. Plus, I don't get that annoying usb power buzz that I used to get from my X11s.
And the mic is like super sensitive, maybe too sensitive. I used to have to speak up or say things twice to team members. Now I just have to say it once without yelling and they totally hear me. But when I was watching Netflix with a friend, he kept telling me to stop breathing into the mic. Seriously I DO NOT breath loud but I guess he could hear me breathing!
The only thing I'm not crazy about is that the headset looks a bit on the stoopid side. I prefer all black so I'm not crazy about the silver parts on this headset. But that's a very minor thing I guess. And since no one can see me online, it doesn't matter what I look like when I pwn them.
Overall I say this headset is just SICK! Teknmotion ROCKS!
