Double Trouble is a new US Skylanders character release for 2012 but don't pay over $7.99 retail for it (anything higher outside of Toy's R Us retail $9.99 is a 3rd party inflated price). Also, they have released Double Trouble, Whirlwind and Drill Sargeant (formerly Target and Wal-Mart exclusives through 12/31/11 on the last 2) for those who didn't get those before Thanksgiving .. the retail for the 3 character packs is $19.99 .........most retail stores have no stock of the character packs right now (early January) but they are coming by the end of the month ........

Definitely one of the best skylanders in my point of view. I am a serious video game player, so skylanders is more of a kids game than I'm used to. If you're looking to annihilate other players in Battle mode or cream bosses in seconds this is your guy. His primary attack is a beam that never stops firing and hits continuos 15-20. The beam also locks onto your enemies, and double trouble is able to move while he shoots, so literally he plows through armies in seconds. If that wasn't enough, he also launches clones at the enemy that explode and can be devastating if upgraded enough. Highly worth it, probably my favorite besides voodood and a few others.

Best Deals for Skylanders Spyro's Adventure: Double Trouble

Double Trouble is a fairly weak Skylander. His attacks are ranged but he shoots towards the ground. He summons a miniature version of himself into battle. In late 2012, I'm having trouble finding Magic Elementals besides Spyro and Double Trouble, So I'm adding him to your collection anyway. If there's only one Magic Element in the team, then if Spyro dies, then there's no Magic element secret area gates to pass through.

Update: It looks like if Double Trouble is fully leveled, he has the ability to create clones that attack the enemy, making him a good anti-boss character. He can retreat while using the ability, making him more powerful than the average Skylander at max level. So if you can survive one of the worst Skylanders in the game at level 1-5, you get a better than average Skylander at level 15.

Honest reviews on Skylanders Spyro's Adventure: Double Trouble

Both my boys have been bitten by the Skylander bug, and so I find myself frequenting websites trying to find ones they don;t have at something less than astronomical prices. The game itself is fairly good (the boys certainly enjoy playing), and the figures are good quality, though we have had a couple of arm injuries that required some glue work. I have found that they have unlocked enough XP bonuses that new Skylanders can be leveled VERY quickly, which somewhat diminishes the value of each new figure added. Aside from the cost of each figure, I have little bad to say about the game.
