If you've ever bought a headset in this price range before, the first thing you're going to notice is that these have awesome build quality compared to them. Really nice plastic, very comfortable to wear. I got these for my little brother, and he was like, "WOW, these are nice!" when I handed them to him this afternoon. Sennheiser doesn't gimp out on sound quality here either, so you're going to be able to hear how bad everyone else's microphones are, and they're going to ask you for advice on the next set they should buy Let's just put it that way! ;) Basically, quality goes down through VOIP to begin with, but it'll be less of an issue with these.

And while they're not wireless, the big thing to notice here is that Sennheiser has included their usual 2-year warranty on these too, so that leads me to ask... Why would you want to buy the $50-100 wireless headset that will drive you nuts with rechargeable AA batteries every week, that has bad signal, and will break a month after the 1-year warranty expires? There's not a resale market for them, especially when Xbox One is around the corner and will bring new options, nor do a majority of them handle wear and tear, they just break.

Trust me on this one, because I have a pair of Sennheiser HD 202 II Professional Headphones (Black) and they're over a year old now and still sound as good as the day I bought them. These will most likely outlive their usage AND our Xbox 360.

I used to use a Bose headset for the iphone with an adapter but I lost the adapter so I bought this thinking it would suck, but would be better than nothing.

Well I was soooo wrong! This thing is great! I can turn my sound system way higher than I could with the Bose mic and the mic still doesn't pick it up! Plus people comment on how much clearer I sound.

Totally worth it.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I haven't used any Sennheiser products before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. However, I am pleasantly surprised. It is very comfortable, can't complain after wearing it for a few hours. The sound is extremely crisp, clear and loud. I didn't have a single problem with the microphone picking up my voice at any level.

Concerns:

I do want to point out that this is for a left ear only. I usually use a small blue tooth headset that can sit in either earafter a few hours I like to readjust. Not a possibility with this one, if that concerns anyone else, you may want to choose another headset. Also, the jack that plugs in is a little weak. After a few weeks of using it, if I play with the jack too much or plug it in and take it out a couple timesit makes the speaker crackle a bit.

Other than that, this is a decent headset. It is much better than the stock xbox 360 headset that comes with the system. I wouldn't purposely upgrade to this headset, but I would replace the stock headset with this one if it broke. I'm going to keep using this one until it wears out completely on me.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I'm very impressed with this headset and I'm a bit of a headset snob. It fits very comfortably without being too tight. The sound comes through loudly, nice and clear, and the microphone picks up your voice very crisply, over a dynamic range of loudness (whispering to very loud). The foam on the earpiece is high quality, padded, and very comfortable. The mid-cord "puck" for muting the microphone is solidly built, and the mute switch slides on and off firmly, but without too much effort.

My only complaint about this headset is that, as the picture shows, it's left-eared only, so if you are hearing impaired in your left ear or for some other reason unable to wear a headset on your left ear, you should pick a different headset.

Really picks up the sounds. My second one. Bought for my 10 year old son to use on xbox 360. Last one made it a year. Longer than more expensive onnes.
