I looked at different stands and cockpits over the past week and decided to get this because its cheap, storable, and solid. When it came in the mail the box was pretty light and it took me longer to remove the protective wrapping and tape then it did to put it all together. The instructions can be a little confusing but you could easily figure it out on your own if you look at all the parts and visualize in your head how best to attach everything.

I was just suprised and satisfied how sturdy it was. It doesn't shake as much as other stands i've seen considering how unsturdy it may look. Lots of leg room and alot of adjustments can be made to fit people of all sizes. I'm 5'8 and my friend 6ft also has no issues. The only con i can think of is that rubber feet have a weird smell and you notice it in other rooms of my house. I might replace them if i don't get use to it but at the moment its a little annoying. Still i'm so happy that i didn't have to spend $300+ for a competent stand that may or may not have major issues like alot of the other options out there.

*Update* Its been a few months since I've had this stand and the smelly rubber smell has completely disappeared. Also still find this stand to be very functional when using it with my living room couch. Its easy to put it away when not in use. I love it.

First off I must say, thank you. This is the best gaming perriferal I've ever purchased. I'm useing this with a Logitech G27. It makes GT5 a whole new game. Because of my new stand, I can now use the six speed shifter that came with the G27. I never even took it out of the box cause I had no place to mount it. Everything bolts up perfectly, pedals, shifter and wheel. I love the fact you can lift it up, its free standing, go take a restroom break, or whatever, sit back down, and get right back into the action. Everything is in the same position, no fiddling with anything.

I ran all the wires along the frame and secured them with black nylon zip ties. You can't even tell thur there. The pedals flip up out of the way for storage. It's great. No more trying to put everything back in the box. Just lift it up, fold it up (the pedals), stick it in the closet.

The only down side, like another reviewer said, "it takes longer to unwrap it than to build it". I never even looked at the instructions. It's that easy to build. Logitech G27 Racing Wheel

Very sturdy. I saw a review on these and needed a rig for my g27 steering wheel. Works perfectly, the adapters work with Fanatec and Logitech Wheels. Will be recommending this to anyone that wants to start in sim racing.

I bought this product on eBay, but eBay has a maximum limit on how much you're allowed to write. So here goes my full experience with the product and the seller:

My friend has been salivating over the Big Boy for quite a while now, so I got it for him for his birthday along with the full Fanatec wheel set. I originally purchased the Rennsport Wheel Stand, but it was a horrible product. Completely unstable and the middle bar was intrusive. DO NOT believe the positive reviews for the Rennsport stand. The middle bar is horrible and the stand will move even if you gently play with it. Trust me, my friend and I had it tightened to the max. I'm a 6'1" guy that benches 225 with multiple reps, I think I can tighten a wheel. Anyways, back to the actual review of the Big Boy. I returned the Rennsport stand back to Fanatec and I finally purchased the Big Boy from eBay.

Upon purchasing it, the seller was in contact with me and made sure that everything was quick. I think he's a racer himself because he showed empathy towards us anticipating the day we can race properly. The seller gave a tracking number and then contacted us again to make sure everything was fine.

The day my friend received it, he assembled it. But, after playing with it for less than one hour, it broke. This is not a fault of the design of the stand. The bottom of the stand seemed to have corroded or wasn't welded properly. I contacted the seller and he immediately got back to me and apologized. On top of that, he made a rush delivery of the broken part. He stayed in contact with me throughout the ordeal.

What I wanted to highlight with the broken part was not the quality of the product. There is no doubt that the quality of the product is top-notch and, with the luck (or bad luck) of the draw, we got a defective part. What I wanted to highlight was the level of service and commitment to the customer. This seller owns up to all mistakes and is extremely fast. On top of that, he's not happy unless you're happy.

If you have ANY qualms about purchasing the Big Boy, you can put them aside. This is a top-notch product with a top-notch seller. You will not go wrong with this product or service. If I could give this guy 10 stars, I would!

At this price point there wasn't any competition. Assembly was a bit difficult but following the instructions diligently got everything together just fine. I used a Logitech G27 racing set and everything fit perfectly. The entire systems doesn't quite adjust far enough for a 6' person and the lap bar won't fit all chairs. The build quality seems good and I haven't had anything come apart so far. It stands up nicely for storage. System could use some wire management consideration, zip ties, looms, anything will help.
