These three games are amazing and worth way more than $35. BioShock and BioShock 2 take place in Rapture: A city under the sea. BioShock Infinite, which is the newest game in the series, takes place in a city in Columbia: A city in the sky.In the original BioShock you play as a man named Jack in 1960. After your plane crashes in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean you are the sole survivor. You swim to a lighthouse in hopes of finding rescue and while traveling in a bathysphere you come a cross the underwater city of Rapture. It was built in the 1940's by a billionaire named Andrew Ryan who wanted to build a city free from the parasites of government and religion. He brought the most brilliant people who would live in the city and thrive. The city was built on science with many smart people. In Rapture someone discovered a Sea Slug with special abilities that could heal humans. Scientists were able to make something called Adam with these sea slugs that could heal people and make them powerful. This Adam could be made into things called Plasmids which are a type of genetically modifying drug. The plasmids could make you shoot fire from your fingertips or do things like give you telekinesis. In order to get more Adam for these plasmids they needed a host for these sea slugs. Little girls were best bonded with the sea slugs. Scientists brainwashed these girls to gather Adam from dead bodies with a needle and hallucinate that the underwater city of Rapture was beautiful. They saw the dead bodies as angels and could turn the blood of corpses into Adam to make plasmids. Big Daddies were made to help protect these girls, known as little sisters, collect Adam. Big Daddies are men who are also brainwashed and put into a diver suit. However, these men were punished from smuggling or being involved with other illegal acts, while the little girls were actually orphans who were taken from an orphanage. The citizens of Rapture overused these plasmids and slowly went insane. By the time you reach Rapture it is very worn down and many of its inhabitants are mentally and physically insane. When you reach the city there is also no way out, but luckily you come across a man named Atlas. He talks to you over a radio and he wants you to help him find his family and in exchange he will help bring you and his family up to the surface. However the city's creator, Andrew Ryan, doesn't like you or Atlas and believes that you are a spy from the surface. He doesn't want you to escape and makes your journey difficult as you fight the crazy citizens of Rapture, known as splicers (For "Splicing" a lot with plasmids), deal with Little sisters and Big Daddies and uncover some of Rapture's secrets.
In BioShock 2 you play as a big daddy in Rapture in 1958 known as Subject Delta. You are the big daddy of a little sister known as Eleanor Lamb. You walk around Rapture protecting her as she gathers Adam, until one day you are forced to shoot yourself in the head. You wake up 10 years later, without Eleanor and without a clue as to how you are still alive. You are no longer brainwashed and are not forced to walk around with a little sister. Now that you have been awakened mentally you must now find Eleanor. To escape Rapture you must find Eleanor and escape with her. She is now a teenager and is no longer a little sister. You must fight through many splicers against a woman name Sophia Lamb who is Eleanor Lamb's mother.
In BioShock Infinite you play as Booker Dewitt. The year is 1912 (Rapture isn't made yet). Booker was at the Battle of Wounded Knee and since then has become a huge gambler. He now owes money to the wrong men and the only way to pay them back is to rescue a girl named Elizabeth from the floating city of Columbia. The city of Columbia is in some ways another version of Rapture. Columbia is strongly religious and is strongly influenced by American history. It is run by a man like Andrew Ryan named Zachary Hale Comstock. As you walk through Columbia you see that every choice has different outcomes. You must rescue Elizabeth who has been trapped in a tower her entire life as well as escape the floating city to pay back your debt. Columbia is similar to Rapture in that it has vigors, which are similar to plasmids, but vigors are drunk. As well as having the Songbird who is like a giant, flying Big Daddy. You must help different people and fight against others. However, as you travel through Columbia with Elizabeth, you discover that not only is Columbia much different than it seems from your first glance, but also that rescuing Elizabeth may not just be to pay off a debt.
Overall these are three amazing games that you should not miss if you are a PC gamer. These games have amazing story lines with many unexpected twists and turns as well as great graphics and gameplay. I would rate each game a 10/10 and would highly recommend playing these. BioShock Infinite is surprisingly the best game with the original BioShock close behind and BioShock 2 after that, but they're all great. So get these games now while they're only $35!
Best Deals for Bioshock Triple Pack
I have finished both Bioshock 1 and 2, and was looking for Infinite to continue the saga, then I found this triple pack which is actually worth the price of Infinite alone, let alone all three games. The activation codes work perfectly with Steam and all three games work in Windows 8.1. Bioshock 2 and Inifinite support controllers (I use the Xbox wired USB controller). Bioshock (1) only plays with mouse and keyboard.
Great deal, excellent price for three of my favorite games.
*** Edit: Bioshock 1 does have an option within the game menus to enable the Xbox controller. It's just that it's Off by default. So all three games support the Xbox controller, I'm a happy camper now! ***
