One thing I always hated about game consoles was the constant tripping over tangled wires. Wires intersecting each other, making a mess of things.

Enter the Logitech Cordless Action Controller!! This is without a doubt one of the best controllers I've ever used! The controllers is very well made. The feel of it is very natural in your hands, though slightly different than the original PS2 Dual Shock. There's a nice satin like finish that prevents alot of dirt from your hands from making the controller too slippery. There is literally no notciable lag or delay in the controller's operation. The controllers 2.4 ghz signal ensures that you won't miss any of the action. Every function of the original is reproduced faithfully. Installation is extremely simple. Plug the reciever into your PS2's controller port and simpley press the action button to get a signal. There is also a button on the reciever to make the connection if needed. The battery life (the controller takes two AA batterys) is approximatley 300 hours without the vibration mode and 50 hours with the vibration mode on. A small sacrifice to make for a great product such as this.

I really can't say enough good things about this product. It's great if you have small children in the house especially. No more worrying if they are going to trip and drag the console across the room. In fact this is such a great controller I'm considering buying a second!

Well you won't go too wrong with this controller here as it's performing better than any other PS2 controller I've used so far. It fits comfortably in your hands, the response time is fluid, the analog sticks and buttons perform as well as Sony's DualShock 2 if not better. My only complaint would be the D-pad. Where sony's has the 4 way d-pad protuding from the controller for better location of direction, the logitech one has 8-way pad which could hurt if you need to pinpoint a certain location and at times feels stiff. The wireless adapter is sleek and lights up green for each button press or directional change. The Vibration function is very strong and can be easily tuned off. Also the finish of the controller itself is smooth and should prevent sweaty palms. If you want the best performing controller for the PS2 and are sick of wires, then this is the only product you should spend your money on.

I have had this controller for about 3 days and I must say I am very impressed. After getting used to my Xbox 360 wireless controllers I decided to go wireless for the rest of my systems. Naturally I got the wavebird for gamecube and did some research on PS2 controllers. I have had my ps2 for almost 4 years and have never been a fan of the dual shock 2 controller as compared to xbox controller. This logitech controller is so much more comfortable than the dual shock controller. I have experimented with 4 different games with this controller and I must say I have not experienced any lag. I would take this controller over dual shock 2 controller any day. the shape of the controller is so comfortable, its hard to believe it is 3rd party. Sony should have had logitech design the ps3 controller. This controller does not feel cheap in any way. It is weighted very well and feels solid and sturdy. It has helped me become excited about my ps2 again. Anyone who is in the market for a wireless ps2 controller should pick this up. I did a ton of research on ps2 controllers before picking this up and found that this got the best reviews of any other wireless controller for ps2.

I bought 2 of these controllers for my kids, because I didn't want cables in the middle of our Family Room nor did I want them sitting too close to the TV when they played.

This controllers are excellent. They work perfectly, they are easy to store because of the lack of cables, the weight is fine for small children, the range of the signal is more than enough and they aren't battery eaters. I use them as well and they are wonderful.

They are much better than the ones that comes with the playstations.

Bought these bad boys to go with my chrome and clear colour scheme for my controller, only problem was that the packaged arrived late, but otherwise a good buy, nice and weighty. They were super easy to install and gave the controller the look i was hoping for can wait to show these off

I'm still playing the game, I'm only about 3 hours into the thing and somewhere around 80% completed according to the game, and I'm not having fun any more, and this really bothers me. I just shelled out $60 something and I can't say I've ever had a feeling during this that I was doing anything meaningful other than saving a block of Metropolis idiots (they run into you while you're punching your opponents and are sent flying).

I'm trying to do one of the side missions where I fly around and collect things, but Metropolis gets attacked every 10 seconds by a band of flying ice dragons and their companions the fire dragons. Or I'll get wrapped up in a fight with the guy who multiplies over and over again yet only manages to have 3 or 4 lines and they're so freaking corny it hurts.

I really wanted to like this game... honestly, I got sucked in because of the demo being so short... I thought "there has to be more to this game, and it's probably frickin' awesome"... I'm really not finding the frickin' awesome.

There's a large beautiful city here every 3rd building seems to have the same texture, in the distance you can see a giant dam which looks like it would be fun to fly over to, but forget about that. Metropolis is a huge series of islands with an unreachable mainland and no possible way the citizens could reach it. No airports, appears to be a sea-based town only. The mainland, if I am guessing right, has a cliff facing Metropolis that is roughly 25 miles high, which is about the same height as the unreachable dam that you also can't visit.

And there're numerous problematic dichotomies one example is you are charged with taking care of the city, keeping things from getting damaged, and yet you get achievement points for things such as ripping the globe off of the Daily Planet and throwing it down the streets. Another is you go to take a challenge and turn into Bizaro and have to destroy as much of the city as you can to advance.

And for the Man of Steel, I feel more like I'm playing the man of pretty darn strong rubber. I can lift 60,000 pounds in this game, and throw it, and it bounces off any buildings it hits. I can hit a pedestrian while in a fight and they get right back up but if one of the opponents hits them, they go down instantly. I try and pick up the injured person to take them to the ambulance (where I then drop them 20 feet to their rescue) and will manage to pick up the wandering pedestrian who is walking through a burning car to get in my way.

Metropolis takes a little too much damage and Superman drops to his knees and looks like he's crying. It takes the same amount of damage in two back to back fights and, well, for some reason it's fine.

While playing I also learned that when the game spawns 15 flying enemies in certain areas the game will lock up for a while. Friend of mine was watching and said my XBOX had shut down due to overheating and I pointed out that you could still go the menu and to wait for a bit, and then it did whatever it was doing and started speeding up, and that it was always when there were that many flying enemies. Duplicated the problem a few times.

I don't know what I did exactly, but I blew one of the bosses into orbit for a while, and when he came down he landed in the ocean. He did not move, nor could I swim or fly underwater. I tried using my heat vision to hit him but noticed all I was doing was damaging Metropolis. I was fighting Bizaro at one point and I knocked him into the one highway that exists... could not get to him. Both these incidents I had to reload the last save.

I've gotten to the point where I save every single event due to bugs like these.

There is a a good foundation in this program for a really great game. It is unfortunate that the developers obviously ran out of time to put any of the game elements in. If you were to refer to this as a "Sandbox" game then "Grand theft auto, Saint's row and Bully" would be the playground that, that sand box was in. To give you a rough idea of my game experience with "Superman Returns"; approximatly 2 hrs 27 mins and 16 seconds into the game (according to the game clock) I had 65% of the game complete... and 95 % two hours later... Worth Sixty to you? Only if you go into this expecting a Simulator and not a game. The only gameplay elements i.e. fights and boss battles are more annoying than challenging... Electronic Arts obviously knew thay had a short game here so rather than adding more gameplay they opted to make Superman weak and boss fights tedious to the brink of making you want to throw your controller. I did buy this the day it came out and I will probably keep it if only to get a feel of what it would be like if I really could fly around metropolis. I highly recommend renting this before making a purchase. There is alot of potential with this engine, let's hope that EA/TIBURON makes use of it and expands on this.

Where to begin? Let me start by saying that ever since we were treated to ET on Atari, with rare exception, movie-based games have generally been pretty awful. The reason for that is simple, a developer knows that a product's name will entitle it to a certain number of sales just because of the name. There's no "extra-incentive" for you to inflate the budget of a product if you don't expect to recoup that dollar amount in sales. 'Superman Returns', I really thought, wasn't going to fall into that developer trend.

My expectations were raised, oddly enough, when the game was delayed and the demo was released. 'Superman' was originally supposed to come out in May of '06 to coincide with the release of the feature film. When it was delayed, I mistakenly thought that was the staff at EA saying to itself, "OK, there's more interest here then we thought, lets sink a little more time and effort into this one." The game was subsequently pushed to November to match up with the film's DVD release. Then the demo for the game hit xBox live and I was legitimately impressed. Metropolis was huge, the environment was interactive, the flight mechanics were solid; it reminded me of 'Ultimate Spider-Man', just with Superman. The graphics and the combat system were a little below-average, but I wrote that off as a problem they're working on. It was just a demo after all, I expected it to be a little rough around the edges.

While nothing that I enjoyed about the game was changed, I'm disappointed to say that none of these issues I had were fixed for the game's final release either. Not to mention, there's very little to the game outside of the demo I played. Instead of using the extra time EA took to get 'Superman' released to add content, EA seemed to just seem to multiply what was there already. Just for example, there isn't enough diversity in the enemies Superman will confront. You fight Metallo and his minions fairly early in the game. You'll be fighting those same annoying robots the whole game. There are only about five or six actual boss fights in the game, none of whom I found particularly difficult. One of which is the same character twice! I'd have loved to have seen more of Supe's rogues gallery.

There aren't many side missions you have to distract yourself with either. It would have been awesome to involve more of Superman's supporting cast to pass along side objectives. As I said before, there's not more diversity, it's as if they just doubled what was already there.

As far as the previous 'Superman' games go, this is definitely king of the hill. Some of those games were flat-out awful, this is at least playable. It's just that I wish they took the nugget of a good thing they had going and fleshed it out a lot more. For now, it's nothing more then a "... could of been." Rent it if you want to check it out.

i loved this game. the graphics are awesome and i can not express how much FUN it was to fly around such a Large world, inbetween buildings, underpasses, along bridges and then dive from about 500,000 feet in the air straight into the ocean and skim along the water at TOP speed....it is truly an amazing thing and has made me LOVE this game since iv played the demo and then rented it...but something buggs me...

too many robots :| youd think youd be able to save some people...put out a some fires...stop some thieves...a couple shoot outs...meteor showers...stop a plane from falling out the sky...maybe even a few spats with Lex Luthor wouldnt hurt. and things that Superman does in everyday life. but for some Dumb reason...every 10 seconds, the city is being attacked by what? Robots :| annoying...hard to kill...wayy toooo mannyy of themm....robots. after about the 10th battle with a STREET full of robots, youll be tired of it...

then i heard something about Dragons from one of the reviewers on here as well. thats just too much Stupid for me :| i dont want to fight anymore robots...and definately not Huff the Magic Dragon and 100,000 of his friends.

Buy it used at Gamestop for 20 bucks and return it in 7 days for something else...ill stick to Spiderman 2 on the original xbox for my superhero high...

Superman Returns is based off the movie of the same name, with a little bit of added goodies. The story is basically Superman must take down Lex Luger while fighting off other villians of the Superman universe... interesting right.

Anyway, you control Superman (obviously). You can jump high into the sky and fly as high and fast as you like, but you can not just do a normal jump (lame). Moving on you can use heat vision, super breath, and freeze breath. You can throw enemies, fly, beat up more enemies, throw cars, fly..... yeah. Thats the whole premise for the game. There are these mini games with that. Mr. Xplyztk or whatever his name is... basically all it is is racing around metropolis, collecting 100 kittens (uh huh..), and playing as Bizaro for a limited amount of time to destroy Metropolis... it makes no sense, nor is it really fun.

While your fighting enemies, the city of Metropolis can take damage and lose health.. yeah, the city you are in can actually be destroyed and guess what? Once it loses all its health, your game is over and you have to start over. Thats real fun when a tree catches fire, cars are being blown up, citizens are being hurt and need to be brought to a nearby ambulance, and you have to fight about 500 enemies who seem to all have kryptonite all at once. In otherwords this games difficulty is ridiculously hard.

As you progress through S.R., you can gain experience which lets you gain levels. When you go up a level you get stronger heat vision and all that stuff.. Also you unlock different outfits which are all lackluster anyway and you probably could care less for them.

And the enemies you fight.. oh boy. First your fighting robots, then robots and dragons, then robots & dragons & some monsters. What the f.... whatever. It makes no sense... I mean, DRAGONS!? Come on.

The graphics are blarf besides the Superman character model & the city of Metropolis. Besides those two, everything else is just bad, blurry, and smudgey. Terrible for a 360 release.

Music.. is terrible and so is the voice acting. The only cool thing is when you're flying for a bit and you break the sound barrier... thats it. Otherwise, once again, terrible for a 360 release.. even a game.

To be honest, I had higher hopes for this game but sadly it fell flat on it's face. How can EA make such a smash hit like The Godfather, then make & release this vomit? Not even worth a rental.

I have to admit this game isn't exactly bubbling over with plot, complex storyline, fancy characters, secret levels/tracks/powerups, or so on. If that's what you are looking for, then you should definately go elsewhere.

What this game focuses on is simple, addictive, ultra-fast paced gameplay with plenty of eye-candy to go with not replace good game play and mechanics.

It's rather simplistic travel around the outside of a tunnel, shooting all the "insects" that are coming at you, while collecting the occasional extra weapon, avoid all the enemy shots/obstacles, and kill the boss at the end of each level. All that, while there are plenty of flashing lights and fancy visual effects, while the tunnel sometimes morphs and bends obscuring your vision, and while the game speeds up level after level after level...

It's very much old-style, and the comparisons to Tempest are somewhat accurate with the Crystal Method soundtrack, and a comfortable seat, you should soon find yourself in "the zone", where you're more reacting than consciously playing and that's just what you need to do.

If you have other simplistic shooters, you're not likely to have much room for this one alongside them but if you don't have any, and want one for the occasional mindless game with beautiful visuals, this is surely it.

This game is truly the Tempest of the new century. Basically this game is tunnel shooter. You travel down a tunnel swiveling around it and shooting the bugs to get a high score. This has been done before, and usually is quite boring. But NOT THIS TIME.

Where other games of this sort falters this one blasts off into the stratosphere. The walls of the tunnel undulate, collapse, and move back and forth faster and faster as you progress. The more enemies you shoot, the faster you go. The hypnotic music keeps your ears glued, while your eyes soak up the sweet (especially for their time) visuals. And when you die (as surely you must), a huge amount of nitrous oxide is released, giving you an enormous speed boost (and possibly causing you to die again)!

Of course, this is all before you enter the cheat codes (which do crazy things like making the whole screen ripple like it's underwater!). As far as shooters of this kind go, this really is the cream of the crop. It ranks up there with Einhander, Raiden Project, and the R-Types. Get it if you love shooters.

This is one of those mindless games that you can get lost in for hours. You chose your aircraft then enter a psychedelic tunnel. In here you fly down a single path and shoot bugs. If you miss a bug it shows up again in front of you, sometimes changing into a harder bug. You can fly 360 degrees around the tunnel wall, and options allow for the tunnel to move around you or for you to move around the tunnel. When a bug has been shot a coin with the letter "E" on it goes shooting ahead of you. You can power this coin up by shooting it before you collect it. There are also random brown mushrooms around the tunnels which can also be charged up. Collecting these items gives you bonuses such as bonus rounds and firewalls. And with a soundtrack by the Crystal Method (basically the album Vegas) you cant go wrong. All in all, i rate this as a game you should definitely look into picking up. Also, it will play on the PS3.

I like many others have been waiting a year for this game to finally make it onto the PC from the Xbox. I don't have an Xbox, but my buddy does so I was able to play the game quite a bit, and I really got into it. I have been waiting ever since to finally be able to play this game myself on the computer. And when I heard they would be releasing it with even more content, I got even more excited. I was not expecting that, but am very glad that they did nonetheless.

Some people may complain it might still be a little on the shorter end (in comparision to other games on the market) but I for one do not care. The game is so intriguing and simply FUN to play, that I can look past this. And also, being able to go through the entire game several times (being good, being bad, and then good again,etc.) and doing different things each time like at the end is awesome and lengthens the game's life anyways.

It is just like the Xbox version in that you can keep playing after the final boss which is nice. That way if you missed any side quests you can still complete them if you would like.

The graphics look real sharp too. You can see battle scars and notice as your character ages which is really cool.

For those who are into using a lot of the Will Powers, there are plenty to choose from but unfortunately you can only have two in your quick-access menu. For the rest you actually have to bring up the Will Powers menu to select them. I'd prefer to just be able to asign hot keys for all them, but its forgivable.

For those who have played the original several times through, there isn't too much different until u get to head to the new area they added, which I found to be really enjoyable.

There is one quirk that I have noticed so far, and it is relatively minor. That is the controls. The default setup just doesnt feel right. Like it has the middle mouse button being the block button, which just doesnt work for me. And the lock-on button seems a little out of place too. But luckily like almost all games, the controls are customizable so its no big deal. After some customization I was back to tearing up bandits :)

In short, it's definitely worth a look, and in my opinionworth buying. You shouldnt be disappointed with this game.

I hesitated a good while before picking this game up at a bargain price. Based upon various reviews and player feedback, I assumed that this game would be like 10 hours long, a bit buggy, and dumbed down. Fortunately, none of this was the case. I had some good fun with this over a weekend (yes, it can be finished over a weekend) and didn't come across a single bug. Fable is not in the same league as Morrowind, Oblivion, Gothic 2, or some of the other great roleplaying games (RPG) out there, but it does provide an enjoyable diversion.

Gameplay: The controls are the typical WASD keys and mouse commands found in most single-player RPGs. The game is fairly easy to learn and navigate. The story traces the hero from childhood through adulthood, when he'll have to, you know, save the world. There are no character classes per se, but you can roughly play as a warrior, magic-user, or stealth/archer character, or some mixture of these. Much of the story centers around a main quest line, but there are a number of side quests available. Unlike most RPGs, quests are assigned by quest cards that you pick up at the Heroes Guild (lol! That's what it's actually called). It's a rather artificial-feeling system, but it's functional. Progression in the game is quite linear. In most instances, you will not be able to even leave the beaten patch, since fences, rocks, and invisible barriers won't allow it. Compared to more open-ended RPGs like the Elder Scrolls series, Fable seems restrictive and light weight in this regard. Overall, it's a decent story, but it is rather force-fed to you.

The game includes several interesting touches. People react to you based upon whether you've performed good or bad deeds. If you roleplay like a saint, you'll eventually have a halo and butterflies floating around. Ladies (and guys) will worship you, and you do have the option to buy a home and marry (multiple times if you'd like). If you play as an evil character, you'll eventually grow horns and fall out of favor with polite company. The nonplayer characters in the game, at least in the towns, have jobs and schedules. They work during the day and sleep at night, though only quest-related characters have anything to say of interest.

Although you can only play the game as the same guy, you can customize him with tattoos, facial hair, haircuts, and a (small) assortment of armor. You can control how your character's skills develop, but not as deeply as you can in a game like Morrowind or Baldur's Gate. There are other small things that you can do, such as fish, play games of chance, and treasure hunt. Overall, this game takes about 20-25 hours to do everything it has to offer, so it is rather short for an RPG.

The things that I didn't much care for are not major, but simply underscore the light-weight nature of this particular game. The game is certainly designed to appeal to the adolescent crowd, with hotkeys for burping, farting, and so forth. The various tattoo styles and haircuts further highlight this point. There is nothing really offensive in the game; it just feels a bit immature in places. Also, the save system is based mostly on the checkpoint model. You can't save just anywhere (at least your quest progress will not save), but the game will autosave at important junctures.

Graphics: The game looks quite good. Character models are convincing (though a bit cartoonish and often repeated), and the natural environment is screenshot beautiful in some places. Since the pathing is fairly restrictive, much of the scenary is noninteractive. It's not like Oblivion or Gothic 2, where if you can see it then you can probably travel to it.

Sounds: Voice acting is pretty good, with the usual British accents that invariably seem to accompany such games. The music is particularly well done and appropriate for the various atmospheres. Ambiant sounds are also decent.

Replayability/Technical Issues: The game is probably worth playing twice: once as a good guy and once as a bad guy. It will play similarly either way, but there are different ways to perform certain quests depending on your moral disposition. Technically, the game was perfectly stable on my computer--no freezes, crashes, or other problems. The manual is decent and explains much of the game, along with the in-game tutorial.

If you like RPG games and can get this one cheap, go for it. It's a well-polished, though simple, rump through a fairly well rendered world. Don't expect the same character depth, engrossing story, or exploring options that you'll find in some of the games that I mentioned above. However, Fable: The Lost Chapters is good for several hours of entertainment.

When I bought it I was hoping for Morrowind with more features. What I got was a very pretty game, with some new features, but was too short, didnt have enough story, was way more linear than advertised, was too easy and too expensive. When I finished I didnt get that satisfied feeling like I normally get after finishing a good game or a good book. I will probably only play through it once more just to see the other ending.

Graphics were excellent, combat was intuitive, nice spell selection (not too many spells), I loved some of the visual things they added like tatoos, scarring, hair cuts, you can become fat or skinny depending on what you eat, get big muscles or have no muscles. These and other what I consider small but integral things should definitely be in future RPGs. Some pretty big things were missing though.

First you cannot play the game as a female charater. Im a guy, but hey some times I like to play games as a female. Second, the story was very thin, hardly any character development. Interaction with NPCs is way too mechanical. Over the game you age about 25-40 years but hardly anything happens to flesh out who you are in relation to the other characters. Sure you can get married, be come good or evil, big and strong or small and magical but why should I care about you as a character? Why do other characters in the story care about you? Why should I care about any of the other characters in the game. We learn basically nothing about anyone except basic events in their life, nothing about what they like or dislike, what theyve done, what motivates them. I mean, you learn more about the mercenaries you can hire from their side comments and interaction with each other than you do about the character's sister or his school roomate who play major roles. I very much missed the dialog and character depth, both payable sexes, and multiple races of Morrowind and Neverwinter Nights.

The game was just too darn easy and it doesnt have any way to increase the difficulty. I blasted through it in a weekend and did most of the side quests (even though they were mostly for money, which you have too much of anyway) and even the extra area they very obviously tacked on at the end. The only way I found to make it more difficult was to run around naked and use less expensive weapons. The early game was good but by the middle and definitly at the end I was destroying everything. The bosses are all way too predictable and with a little magic, some parrying and a few potions you barely even get injured most of the time by the normal enemies. There was never a time when I was killed or thought I might die.

I really hope there is a Fable II because I think they could do a better job, even if they reused the graphics engine and just hired some better story deveoplers they could make a much more enjoyable game.

Of course maybe my preference for story driven games is what makes me dislike aspects of this predominatley hack and slasher.

I've been a fan of Peter Molyneux's work for a while. I waited for Black & White and found the concept was brilliant, but the game itself was a little lacking. Fable:The Lost Chapters fulfills all the expectations I had for Black & White. It's an amazing game where you can have a completely different experience every time you play it. Every decision you make within the game has an effect on the storyline, your appearance and how you are seen by NPCs within the game. FTLC does this without the boring peasant maintainence which was a major detracting factor of Black & White.

Visually, the game is stunning in parts and average in others. Characters hands seem to be unusually large in proportion to the rest of their body at times. There is nothing in the graphics that detracts from the overall enjoyment or playability of this game however. If you have a decent graphics accelerator, there's really nothing bad to say here. I found the graphics style fun and entertaining. It's a mix of realistic and cartoon art that works well for the genre.

The only suggestions I have for improving upon this game would be to make it longer. Once you start playing, it can be addictive and it seems to fly bye. There were a few avenues that developers could have taken to expand on this game, but the replayability makes up for this since there are so many different possibilities to explore within the limitations of the storyline.

I can't wait for Fable 2.

For KC Oaks, the problem lies not in the game but her/his computer. This game works beautifully with my nVidia 3VGA 7600 GT card.

Okay, true that the game is kinda short, but you can't cheat on a god mode, so it's not like you're gonna finish it in a day or 2. & for only $20 you're getting you're money's worth; the game is both fun & highly amusing, nothing seems cliche & many things are unexpected. The environment is beautiful, the soundtrack is beautiful, just like American McGee's Alice's OST. Cheaters will have to rely on the games exploits; many seem to have been almost added to the game on purpose because of their humorous nature. Down the line, all games become tiresome at some point, but you'll end up wanting to play the game at least once a year. I'm already looking forward to Fable 2.
