My son is 6 and it is sometimes difficult to find games that are fun, challenging and at the same time easy enough for him to play himself. This game is not only fun for both of us, but it's challenging in a way that is not too hard for him nor too easy for me. We enjoy playing together and helping each other through the levels. Graphics and controls are great. The game is creative with fun "extras" to find that will make you laugh. My favorite part is the text boxes. My son doesn't have to call me into the room every 5 minutes to read the text for him because the game reads it outloud for him! Great feature!! We loved the movie and will enjoy the game for months to come!

I'm having trouble at the very beginning of the game, and I've solved some hard games. This certainly is not going to be fun for my son.

Also, the gameplay is terrible. The camera angles are very limited. You can't even look up. The left-right movement is twitchy, it makes it hard to do a double-jump straight ahead.

Very interesting little charade. Makes one use their imagination to complete the tasks, but in an interesting and Happy kinda of way. Family friendly of course and very nice graphics. As those movie critics used to say, 2 Thumbs Up :-)

Should of done this to help the people and the seller/product out long ago.

1. It Works!

I bought a slim a couple years ago, didn't want to buy a huge hard drive because they were expensive. I googled if I could use the original Xbox 360 20Gig HD and somehow fit it to the slim. Answer popped up in 10 secs; remove the casing then slowly and perfectly fit it in the big slot in the slim. Was told to use electrical tape so that it wouldn't move around...it worked a few times then stopped. That kept happening so I just removed it and played without a Hard drive for about a year, until this gem found its way to my Amazon.com screen.

Decided to buy it and try it. I placed the Hard Drive in the case and just snapped it together, I then slid it in the slim and abrakadabra it works perfectly. It fits perfectly which is probably the reason why it wasn't working all the time before.

Some people may not need a case, but I like how mine is in a case just like the $99 hard drives out there, and I can pull it out anytime for whatever reason.

PEACE!

Item shipped and was delivered fast. Thought it would arrive on the 21st, but received it on the 16th.

as for the Item itself.... its perfect, don't let the price scare you because its cheaper than the rest. the hard drive fit perfectly in the case and the case fits perfect in the xbox.popped my 2 drives into the 2 cases and both xbox's see the drives perfectly.

packaging was very professional and the plastic even had that sticky clear stuff on it to avoid any potential scratches.

I would definitly recommend this to anyone adding a drive on their own. matter of fact if i buy a third, i will definitly get another one of these, seller is bookmarked!!!

I had an original model 360 that red-ringed and I didn't want to get it fixed just to have the same issue again later on, so I bought a 4GB 360 E for GTA V(which will require a mandatory 8GB of installation space) and wanted to re-use my old 120GB drive.

Easiest swap ever, took me literally about 5 minutes. The original 360 drive enclosure has just 4 screws on the outside, and 4 on the inside holding the hard drive cage to the panel, and then the old hard drive unhooks from the cable and slides out. This voids the warranty but I bought mine from China off a popular auction site so I doubt it had one anyway, another bonus is I didn't need to use anything other than a regular Phillips head screwdriver, though I have read that the official ones require a Torx T10 for the outside screws and T6 for the inside screws. Installation into this new enclosure is just dropping the hard drive in with the label side facing up and then clicking the top cover shut on all sides. From there just open up your 360 S or E's hard drive slot and push it until it clicks all the way in and the 360 will instantly recognize the drive and everything on it when you start it up.

This is an absolute bargain over me buying the 250GB 360 E and a hard drive transfer kit. My 120GB still had 80GB free(in addition to having all my old savegames right there on it of course) and I really don't plan to play anything else on the 360 other than GTA V at this point with the Xbox One being right around the corner. It would've been an excessive amount money for an excessive amount of of space.

The only thing that bothers me is that the pull tab on the back says 250GB on it while a 120GB drive sits in the enclosure but it's not like I'll ever look at it again and for the convenience and the money this saved me, it's worth that minor OCD tax.

When THQ went belly up at the end of 2012, the future of their gaming titles were in question. The two bigger ones were WWE and UFC. Once EA Sports grabbed up UFC, it was left in the air who would get WWE. After some negotiating, 2K Sports took WWE under their wing with promise to keep the same development team on board. Thus, WWE 2K14 was born. Now, the hard part is topping WWE 13's phenomenal storyline of the Attitude Era. Wrestlemania 30 is coming up in April of 2014 so why not do a tribute to such a landmark?

WWE 2K14 offers very little to change the game just at first glance. The graphics look pretty identical as do the commentary and WWE 2k14 loading screens. The little changes I noticed were: fixed chokeslam (no longer do people turn inside out when getting a chokeslam, it actually looks natural...when you bust someone open to bleed you can see the blood start to trickle down their face...when you land a big move on an opponent you can see them spread out on the mat almost lifeless....Slobber Knocker mode is back!!....reversals and grapples feel more natural and smoother to operate.

The new game mode, 30 Years of Wrestlemania, brings back a lot of warm and fuzzy nostalgic moments for wrestling fans of yesteryear. In chronological order, you will relive at least one, if not more, moments from each and every Wrestlemania until you get to 29. You have historical objectives required to complete the match so that you can be assured everything is how it happened in real life. This mode is insanely fun. Being there when Hogan bodyslammed Andre the Giant, Hogan defeated Yokozuna in record time, Razor Ramon beat HBK in ladder match, Undertakers greatest matches and when HBK retired Ric Flair...it's all there! The roster from this is very impressive. Older, almost forgotten names like Big John Studd and King Kong Bundy, bigger names that haven't been in games like Yokozuna and Razor Ramon all the way to just retro versions of HBK, Undertaker, Triple H and The Rock. Added to this game is also a Rivalry mode to Universe. This will allow you to have programs with superstars just like in real life that play over a set amount of time.

This game is such a huge improvement on WWE 13 and breathes new life into the series. Hopefully this will bring jaded wrestling fans back to the genre. I don't watch wrestling in real life, but playing this game reminds me of all the awesome moments that I got to live through as a child watching.

Honest reviews on WWE 2K14 - Xbox 360

I know there are some mixed reviews for this game b/c a lot of people see this as rehash of WWE '13. Truth be told it kind of is but BETTER!!! People seem to forget that THQ was still in the process of working on this game before they went out of business in January. So in that regard, I'd cut them some slack.

I think this one of the best games in THQ's collection of wrestling game ever made. It has 30 YWM mode, one of the biggest rosters in a WWE game, Superstar Heads, & slight improvement to Universe Mode & creation suite. Being that this was THQ's last game now under the 2k banner this was well worth the $60 imo plus the DLC.

With that being said, I hope that next year w/WWE 2K15 being 2k's first official wrestling game that 2k start including some serious changes in certain areas of WWE 2k series. I think it's time to start an overhaul with the character models they tend to come off as cartoon-like every year. I think it would be good if 2k went the design that EA uses for the Fight Night series when making the models. They also need to fix the freezing issue when creating a story in story mode that is a pain. I would like to see some elements of GM Mode from the SvR games added in Universe Mode in 2k15 adding rivalries in 2k14 was a good start.

This game is really fun my daughter got it last night and really hasn't stopped playing it. They have the real voices from the webisodes on there. There is reading involved, they talk here and there. She says its awesome. Id say for ages 9-15 would be great. If your into monster high than your going to want this game she loves it. Id wish it had better graphics on some of it, but it doesn't seem to be a big deal to her. Over all a good game for the monster high lovers out there.

Honest reviews on Monster High: Ghoul Spirit

Honestly I have nothing good to say about this game. Unless you're a super hardcore Monster High fan (and I am, but even I found this excruciating to play through) this game is a waste of time and money. The graphics look like they're from at least two console generations ago and the gameplay doesn't make up for it. The game is comprised of a lot of running around interspersed with ridiculously easy and completely uninspired minigames. The minigames are timed to give you a sense of challenge, but they're still too easy to be fun so the whole thing seems pointless. (The only one I had difficulty with was Clawculus, which gets a bit tricky in the later stages but still only takes a few minutes to get the hang of.) The map, while overly simple, still manages to be confusing and is incredibly inaccurately proportioned, and despite the small size of the school, it takes forever to get anywhere because you run so slowly. Overall, you spend a lot of time being both bored and frustrated. The ending to the game is obvious and anticlimactic so it's not even worth playing through for that. Take my advice and leave this one on the shelf and buy something else, because it really feels like something that was rushed out onto the market to cash in on the Halloween season.

Despite what other reviews say, not all of the voices sound like the original, for example Slo-Moe sounds totally different (I mean, really, how hard is it to do a zombie groan? There shouldn't be an obvious difference) which seems like a little thing but grated on my nerves every time I had to talk to him. Some of the dialogue is kind of awkward, for example Holt's lines read more like something Jackson would say. As for Jackson himself, as well as Spectra, Abbey, and Operetta, they have cameos in the game but you can't actually talk or interact with them at all. Instead, they're conveniently placed behind pieces of furniture so you can't reach them, yet you still have friend meters for them which is just confusing and pointless.

Things I personally think would have made this game better:

*Cel-shading rather than the awkward '3D' graphics. The graphics bothered me throughout the whole game, I think cel-shading would have been way cooler.

*The ability to make enemies. I get that this is a kids game, but even Toralei was your friend by the end of the game, and you didn't have a choice in the matter. I mean, really? At least allow me to piss people off and make frienemies. A more flexible friend meter in general would have been great.

*The ability to have a boyfriend, or at least a date for the dance at the end of the game. Even better, allowing me to steal someone else's date, because I totally would have snagged Deuce. Seriously, that's most of the reason why I wanted this game to begin with. Wishful thinking.

*More outfits. There's only two outfits in the game, and then the dress for the dance. For a girl's game, that's kind of sad. I was hoping I'd unlock more outfits, etc as I played, but never did which was annoying as I unlocked alternate outfits for the OTHER characters instead.

*Being able to turn people to stone. I played through as a Gorgon and didn't even get sunglasses, let alone get to turn people to stone. Total disappointment.

*Better minigames. In general.

*The ability to create a character that's not hideous. Seriously, I looked through the character creation and found that the options are both very limited and very ugly. Better graphics probably would have helped. Also being able to choose custom colors on a colorwheel or something would have rocked.

*Cutscenes. I think some video action would have improved the tone of the whole game.

*More replay value. Alternate endings, unlockables, and the ability to make my own decisions that would affect the storyline would have been awesome.

*More content in general. I beat this game in a few hours without even trying.

*A reason to not trade this game in immediately for something that isn't painful to play.

I am a huge monster high fan, dont get me wrong but I was totaly unimpressed with this game. There was not one good game disciption any where. Not evan the back of the game or their website. It was all planned out for you. You had no options as to what you could do or say while interacting with the other characters. You had to accept every text or you walk around the campus bored and with no one to talk to. There were no option's for your character's clothes eiher. You run all around the school for people when half the time its across the hall. And I only kept playing because I thought I would unlock more content but more never came. The game only took me 2 days to complete and you have to buy their merchandise to unlock codes for more content. They don't mention anything about the codes on the game cover or on their website! The game ended by going to a dance where you don't even spend more than 30 seconds to be crowned scream queen. Your outfit for the dance was disappointing. You don't even get a crown! I was torn as to whether or not to get the game, as you can see I did, but in my opinion don't waste your money.

Alright, I beat the career mode of it yesterday and am at 66% of "game completion". It took just under 15 hrs to complete the career mode. So that's a bit disappointing since it took about 40hrs to complete the career mode in Midnight Club LA, although it's MUCH more non-linear.

The issues I have with NFS:UC:

1) The game is very easy. It never really gets difficult, although I think getting the last 1/3rd of the game may take as long as the first 2/3rds, since it's at a higher level.

2) The game is entirely linear. As other reviewers have pointed out, the "open world" concept is pointless in this game. That being said, this game is basically Most Wanted 2. You do some races, you avoid some cops, you beat a boss, you move on.

3) The environments are lifeless and boring. The roads constantly have this sheen on them like they are wet, but they aren't, and you can tell it's being done just to reflect the sunlight to "look impressive". It gets old really fast.

4) There is some SERIOUS slowdown issues in the game. To the point where I actually started getting annoyed by it during a couple of races. When you have a group of racers ahead of you (which doesn't happen very often unless you suck) and you're smashing into things, all the data on the screen brings the thing down.

What I like about the game:

1) As I said above, it's basically Most Wanted 2. If you loved Most Wanted you'll probably love this game. The cars handle about the same, the cops react the same way, the flow of the game is the same.

2) The graphics aren't bad despite the slowdowns. There's no night racing which is a real letdown, and all the races happen at either sunrise or sunset (and seriously, how many street races take place at sunrise or sunset??) and so the sun will be glaring at you quite often.

3) The sense of speed is INTENSE. The game is worth playing just to get the Bugatti Veyron. I can't even explain how fast it is. It's like driving a missle.

4) The types of races are a lot of fun. One of the most fun they have is "Highway Battle" where you have to get 1000ft in front of your competitor in less than a minute while ripping down a highway at high speeds and trying to avoid traffic.

Overall I've had a good amount of fun with this game. It won't provide me nearly as many hours of enjoyment as MC:LA but it's certainly a fun game to play. I totally disagree with any review that puts this below a 5/10.

I haven't spent any time playing it online.

If you're a fan of Most Wanted you really should play this game. It feels dated compared to other modern racing games, but it's still worth playing. It's probably not worth $60 to buy given the short amount of time necessary to beat it and non-replayability but it's certainly worth a 7 day rental.

Overall I give it a 6.5/10.

For reference I'd give these scores to these similar games:

Midnight Club Los Angeles: 7.5/10

Test Drive Unlimited: 9/10

Burnout Paradise: 7/10

Need For Speed Most Wanted: 8/10

Need For Speed Carbon: 7/10

I am a huge fan of the NFS series and consider them classics and was really looking forward for this year's release. However I was disappointed with the final product. Need for Speed Undercover is clearly an attempt to cash in on the success of 2005's Most Wanted after ProStreet flopped with critics and fans. The game itself is as straightforward as you'd expect; race, come first, win cash, buy new cars. The underlying story is you're an undercover cop working for the police, quite straight foward. Everything seems to work as it should the racing is fast and frenetic; the sense of speed is swell and the cars look mostly nice and slick. The biggest problem with Undercover, and it's a fundamental one, is that it's lazy.

Undercover features a great range of cars, but it's a simple cut-and-paste job from ProStreet and the cars that followed its release. There just isn't enough new here, and you'll likely have driven nearly every ride on offer here in a previous iteration of the series. The cops have basically clicked and dragged from the three-year-old Most Wanted and also the cities (there are three of them) are big, criss-crossed with wide, but they lack personality and they all begin to look the same.

NFS of old was about hot cars, hot pursuits and miles and miles of open road, a very fine example of this is the addictive NFS Most Wanted. Undercover make a semi-successful fist of recapturing some of this magic. Looks great, plays fine. There's no getting around the fact, however, that Undercover is basically Most Wanted with a new lick of paint.

It is time to consider a new look for this one is repetitive and boring.

there are a lot of critics of this game but i think EA hit the target with this game. I havn't stop playing the game since i got it for christmas. I've played midnight club LA for one day then i got nfs undercover have gone back to LA yet. the graphics are better, the sound is steller. as with anything two thngs that would have made the game better would be more after market body kits, and more cars. I think once you get use tothe raceoing style of the game its a blast.

Honest reviews on Need for Speed: Undercover - Xbox 360

[I HAVE played this game on BOTH the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 thus am posting this review on both consoles.]

*sigh* I had hopes. In fact I had high hopes, and that's what makes it so dissapointing.

It's been said a lot Most Wanted was a great game. A fantastic game. One of the very few games I decided to play through twice just to try a different approach.

What made Most Wanted different for a driving game was a compelling story. It wasn't even a very deep story, but you had conflict right from the get-go and it made you eager no, determined to get revenge. It gave you a clear, linear story 8 "bad guys" (I think it was eight...) to take on until you reached the baddest dude of all the guy who took your car, took your reputation, even tried to take your girl... But in between those linear points, the game was a free-for-all. You had set things you had to do, but you could do them in any order, you could do them however you wanted. You always knew were the next objective was, but still had that freedom.

Undercover is just a cluster. There's roads everywhere, cops everywhere, races everywhere... You have no idea what to do. The story is clear only because we've read about it here on Amazon, on other review sites... Honestly, the game has never told ME that I'm an undercover cop.

The came starts with a car chase you at the wheel and a million cops behind you. You're in a 350z, pretty decked out, Red. Suddenly you get away. Then you're watching a clandestine meeting between a woman and a shadowy, male figure. She says he's going to be their driver. It wasn't until my second re-start (tried a different console) that I realized, "Oh, I guess I'm that guy..." Next thing you know you're sitting on the street in a POS Nissan. What happened to the 350z? What am I doing? What's the objective? Who am I??

So you start running races easy to do, just push down on the D-pad and it'll automatically launch the next race. You'll run a few races and then get a short, somewhat vague cut-scene. That'll open up a unique race which you'll run and nothing special will happen. So you'll do a few more races, then something else suddenly happens... It's really only curiosity that keeps you playing. There's no motivation, no apparent pay-off... I've played now for a bunch of hours and still have only unlocked a small handful of parts. I never understood that theory you have enough money to buy something but it won't let you. The game just levels up the opponent cars anyways let me buy whatever I can afford!

As far as actual game play goes, it's... ...alright. Graphics are okay up close, but distances get real vague. There are a LOT of aliasing issues, and items appear very blocky and granular. I've had a couple frame-rate issues during auto-saves and what-not VERY frustrating in a driving game while you're drifting a corner at 140 miles per hour. Technical tracks become challenging because you can't see far ahead. You can, but you can't make out what you're looking at. Is that a turn? Oh, no it's a bridge abutment... Oh and forget the map. The cities of Undercover are pretty convoluted, which is nice, except that the map doesn't detail elevation changes. So an intersection that appears on the map could actually be a bridge going over another road. Oh yeah that's fun when you're trying to dart a corner while running from cops... *SMASH* oh, THAT road is BENEATH me!!! Thanks for the help! You're under arrest...

I of course have no idea how far into the game I am, but it's not very challenging. I've won every race, and have "dominated" all but a few of the "jobs." The cops are present, but they lack that... ...je ne c'est pas... They have no spirit no soul. They appear out of nowhere hit a chase-breaker (usually a road-side object that you can hit to stop chasing police cars) and the game goes into a quick cut-scene to watch the destruction. That's always fun, except that I've come out of those cut scenes only to plow into a road block that appeared out of nowhere. Very frustrating. **UPDATE** Even MORE frustrating when those roadblocks include a spike strip in later levels of the game... Sure ended THAT chase pretty quickly. Thanks EA!!! **/UPDATE** The [cops] seem to pit-maneuver you pretty easily suddenly accelerating out of nowhere... But if you keep dodging, taking corners instead of following the road, this isn't much of an issue. They just don't have the organization of Most Wanted. When you think you're about to escape, more will appear out of NOWHERE. When you finally do escape, they literally dissapear! In instances when you're TRYING to rack up more points, more cop-car-kills, more damage, etc, you can't!

A lot of the game just seems tacked on. Remember the first "Underground" NFS games? There were shops everywhere that focused on specific areas, like body parts, performance parts, certain brands of cars... Now you just push start [pause] and select "Cars." You basically buy cars and customize them from the pause menu. How pathetic is that?? And if you actually go to a shop, you see the EXACT same screen.

The "crews" from Carbon are gone thank God. You don't have to hire certain staff members just to customize your car. Autosculpting is available immediately and that's a welcome change.

NFS Undercover quickly becomes boring. You run a race, unlock some new races, run some of them, and maybe if you're lucky you'll trigger the next story sequence. But you have no idea, you have no motivation, and all you're left with is another highly anticipated let-down.

Stop doing this, gaming industry. Quit focusing on the dollar and make us some games that are worth playing. We're tired of looking behind us at "what was." Give us something to look forward to, or quit wasting our money. I'm tired of the $60-dollar coasters.

**UPDATE**

I have to say, the last 1/4 to 1/3 of this game was nearly unplayable. These games are completely unrealistic when it comes to high-speed "simulation."

Throughout the game you have "highway battles." On these challenges, you race against a singular AI opponenet, and have to usually get 1000 feet ahead of them to "win." Of course you start off behind them, and big surprise, they're automatically pulling away from you." In the begining they were easy, towards the middle they were challenging, and at the end they were impossible. Why? Well, because you're allegedly going 230 miles an hour, going over blind hills and around blind corners in a see of traffic, up against an opponent who of course has impeccable reaction and timing. The only way you could win these was to get lucky and have the AI "goof," smacking into a car at the exact same time that you got a clear straightaway to put some distance between you. But many times I'd pile up into a STACK of AI "traffic" cars, and watch as the opponent deftly weaved around them like it was a cakewalk. Completely unrealistic, completely impossible, and utterly frustrating. I beat the game, and gave up on the rest of the "completion" achievements.

I cannot explain how HAPPY I am that I rented this game.

I was really excited about this game when I first heard about it. After the uncreative NFS Pro Street, NFS Under Cover was suppose to take the game back to its roots. The only problem is, I didn't expect them to go all the way back to the early 90's.

I started the game out, and right away I notice loading, loading, and more loading. Do you want to look at the map to see the next race, loading, do you want to go to your garage, loading, do you want to start a race, loading. Everything you do has a load screen...EVERYTHING. I managed to start playing and I was a little excited. That was until I took over the car. The cut scenes look good, but the game is a mess. There are problems with the frame rate, there are issues was the way the cars look, and the general graphics are poor. If they would have used the graphics from say NFS Hot Pursuit I would have been happier.

The main issue I had was the constant freezing. I finished the first race, but that was it. I could not start another race. Anytime I would pick anything, the loading screen would come up and freeze the entire game. A few times I managed to start a race, but the game would freeze during the race. I was more than let down. I was pissed.

Naturaly, I looked online for others with similar problems, and there are a ton of people. The freezing, frame rates, are all common problems. Some people have been blessed with the lack of problems, but others like me not so much.

One last note. After having the freezing problems, I installed the game to the xbox hard drive. After playing thru a few races I can say that this has, so far, fixed the freezing issues I was having. I am sure a patch will be released to fix most of the games issues, but the only patch worth waiting for is a better game.

11-22-08 EDIT

An auto update was released for the game which may fix some issues. As my biggest issues was the constant freezing, and I fixed that by installing on the hard drive, I am unsure as to what bugs got fixed. I can say the overall the game does not feel as fragile as it had at first.

11-24-08 UPDATE

After getting some time to actually play the game, I will discuss my additional thoughts. The game itself is a lot like the older NFS, where you have an open world with some street races and of course the police chases. The game, as described in another review, can be summed up as LAZY. You actually don't have to do any open world driving. You can pick races from the "GPS" screen, or you can race the closest event by hitting down on your d pad. I felt bad, because it really puts the open world usage to shame. I have not customized any part of my car yet, as its not as fun as it used to be, or should be. Also, anytime you purchase anything in the game it asks if you want to use "In game cash" or "Microsoft Points". I would hate to see how many points it would cost.

The open world consists of three "Cities" each with their own races, and groups to take out. The races seem repetative, more so than in the past. Most of the police cut scenes are the same, as are the begining of most every race. I have only progressed thru the first city, and am on the second.

ONLINE PLAY

I did get to play a few matches of cops and robbers online. I must say that this was very fun. The object is to "steal" the money and take it to your hidout before you get busted by the cops. There are up to 8 people playing, 4 robbers and 4 cops. The game is pretty straight forward, and easy to pick up on. I have not yet had a chance to play any other modes. Even though this is fun, I wouldn't pay more then $10 to get this mode. The game just isn't where it should be.

Based on the games progress I would re-rate this MAYBE 2-2.5 stars. However, if you are still not sure about spending the money, I would still wait. Had I have played a demo before hand, or rented the copy first, I would not have purchased. I have yet to recommend this game to anyone, and would still tell people to avoid this title.

My son was really happy when he got it. He said that Bash was much better as a skylander giant than it was as a spyro skylander. He plays with it often.

We bought the Skylanders Giants game so that I, an adult non-gamer would have something to play with my hubby (gamer) and eight year old (on and off gamer). Needless to say, I am hooked. It is great fun and I, being just a tad more than a little OCD have decided I must have every little guy out there. Luckily I am a patient OCD and haven't had to pay more than retail for any character...

We like to see all of the different "skills" and voices they have.

Honest reviews on Skylanders Giants Single Character Pack Core Series 2 Bash

When the first game came out, I didn't really want Bash. A dragon made out of rock? How useful was he going to be? Upon seeing his series two video, I definitely decided he was worth a try!

Speed: Slow

As can be expected for a character made out of solid rock, Bash isn't exactly the quickest dragon on the block.

Primary Attack.

Bash's tail ends in a deadly ball of spikes, and he uses them in a 360 degree spin to wipe out his enemies, literally. With an upgrade, incoming projectiles can be knocked away. If you choose the Granite Dragon upgrade path, your tail swipe does increased damage, your stone projection (which will be talked about below) will deal more damage, and your tail swipe can be charged up for a devastating blow.

Secondary Attack:

Bash's second attack is not only a damage dealer, but also a nice way to get around! The rock dragon will curl up and bowl over his enemies. Since Bash is so slow, this is a nice way to move a little quicker. If you choose the Pulver Dragon upgrade path your roll attack does more damage, you can roll right through enemy attacks, and Bash will become giant while rolling which deals more damage and makes him roll faster.

Tertiary Attack:

Talk about being at one with your element. Bash can summon up large stone masses from the ground and, in combo with his tail swipe, can launch them at enemies. With an upgrade, of course, the damage is increased. I like using this one on the bigger enemies, to keep them at bay while you decrease their health.

Soul Gem:

Since Bash can't fly and already resembles a dinosaur so much, why not give him some cool armor to play it up? The Triceratops Honor Guard (which is represented on the series two figure) makes Bash much harder to hit. It grants him 40+ armor, which is more than most hats can do!

Wow Pow:

I don't have this in game yet (I haven't had him very long), but while rolling, pressing attack 2 will launch Bash in the air and slam him back down again to crush his enemies. How handy is that?

EDIT: I now have this upgrade, and wow! Your enemies are crushed beneath your earthen body, and since a stone uppercut appears whenever you use this attack, it also fires off and hits any enemies in your path.

I feel bad for writing off this handy little fellow the first time around, he's totally worth the purchase!

Back in 2007 when the first trailer for Mafia II debuted, I said to myself this looks awesome.

I played the first one and thought it was one of the best PC Games ever made, So I was looking forward to this game since it was announced. I was blown away by the demo despite it having a 12 minute time limit. It wasn't long into my Mafia II playing experience that I realized I enjoyed playing a 12 minute demo more than playing 2 hours of the actual game.

I was very disappointed in this one.

The game is set in a fictional called Empire Bay (Based heavily on 1940's-50's era New York City)Taking place after World War 2 and beginning in 1945 when The main character Vito, returns home from serving in the US Army. We are introduced to Empire Bay and the games characters. The vintage cars & Well put together oldies soundtrack add to the overall feel of the 40's and it certainly feels authentic. However This all provides a facade for a game that lacks much substance and leaves the player craving for any kind of excitement. This game reminds me of a beautiful woman, appealing and seductive at first glance, but you find she's as dumb as a bag of rocks.

Mafia II is similar to it's predecesor. The story is really the only thing that makes this game interesting but it's dense plot and predictable outcome really make it just as dull and boring as the gameplay. The voice acting is certainly one of the few postitives of the game, featuring the voices of TV stars Rick Pasqualone & Sonny Marinelli. The Cinematics really make you feel like your watching a Scorcese flick, sadly this isn't enough to mask the insipid world around the player.

The map itself isn't very big to begin with, Despite having an open world with seemingly limitless possibilities, The game feels more like a dictator forcing you to rush through the game and beat it as quickly as you can. For instance,

when Vito completes a Chapter/Mission he is always told to "go home" and "sleep" this leaves the story to proceed to the next chapter. I'm not saying it should be like GTA, But it would have been better if you could space out your story progression and do side-missions for different characters at your own leisure, rather than just go straight up the gut with the story. Perhaps 2k Czech did this purposely to hide what awful non-linear activities they have spread throughout the map

To put it blatantly there is really nothing outside the linear plot that can keep you occupied, The car customization option is a really cool feature and I'm sorry to say is perhaps the highlight of the game, allowing you to get a fresh paint job, new rims, and engine upgrade. Unless you enjoy robbing stores, Bringing stolen cars to a chop shop for money, Getting drunk or buying clothes this game is not for you.

There is no free roam save feature the game saves automatically when you advance to the next chapter, this really cripples the open world, sandbox type game I was expecting it to be. Mafia II lacks the diversity of the other mafia themed video games such as The Godfather. The Godfather allowed you to run a vast criminal empire of rackets, store fronts and prostitution rings, why wouldn't The people at 2k Czech realize that's what being in the mafia was all about and what makes the game fun and interesting. 2k Czech must not have played this game after they made it because they would realize how dull and un inspiring of a game it was, Which makes me wonder why they even delayed this game for as long as they did. It didn't improve anything. The map is consists of only 3 islands which are all clones of each other with simlar buildings, shops and streets.

If anyone played the demo, somewhere along your torturous experience in this game you'll notice the subtle differences like the bridge cincematic in the demo is not even in the game at all. I feel 2k sucker punched us and made us look like fools.

This game had alot of potential. It wasn't long into my Mafia II playing experience that I realized I enjoyed playing a 12 minute demo more than playing 2 hours of the actual game. My advice to those interested in purchasing this game, don't be decieved by the trailers, gameplay footage or what favorable reviews you may come across, This game isn't half bad however I would not reccomend buying it there is no replay value at all. It's the ultimate game designed to look good in Trailers, Posters, etc. and set us up for a high expectations and HUGE letdown. Perfect example of style lacking substance.

Mafia 2 is a fun 3rd-person action game. It's not a GTA clone nor is it up there with Gears of War or Uncharted as far as shooting and covering go. It does however have a great story to tell with well-staged cut-scenes and some of the best graphics I've seen on a console.

As I said before the story of Mafia 2 is excellent and VERY much carries the game. You play as Vito Scalletta, a poor Italian-American in the 1940's who, after fighting in WWII, finds himself drawn into the world of crime. Every character in Mafia 2 is well developed and well voice-acted and the story plays out very dynamically (starting in WWII Italy to a prison stretch to being a mafioso on the streets on Empire Bay) but is easy to follow.

The graphics are also excellent in Mafia 2 and really bring the world to life. Snow and leaves fall, birds and cats move around on stoops and in alleys, and people go on about their daily lives while you are on a mission. The building interiors look especially good like they were taken out of an episode of 'Mad Men'. The character models are surprisingly detailed as well.

While the presentation of Mafia 2 is a wonder to behold, the gameplay is very disappointing. The controls are shaky when you're just walking around. Driving around takes some getting used to but is fun overall, same with hand-to-hand combat. Shooting and covering however is lacking: namely you can't blind-fire from cover. Normally I wouldn't mind (I mean you can't blind-fire in Mass Effect either) but when your enemies CAN blind-fire from cover and with some of them trying to rush you, gun-fights can get frustrating.

Mafia 2 is also very linear. I don't mind that there's no side-missions (which I rarely partook in games like GTA or Red Dead Redemption) but the basic story-missions almost never have alternate paths. This is a shame because there's a couple really good stealth-missions thrown into the mix that could've benefitted from non-linear solutions. In fact I think the game needed more stealth missions because I had more fun on those than the actual gun-fight and chase missions (or at least have a stealth optional solution to most missions, I mean I ASSUME the criminal underworld doesn't want this much attention drawn to itself!).

Despite my complaints Mafia 2 is still a worth-while game. It took me about 10 hours to beat which is average for a linear action game. If you love good gangster stories like I do you'll love the narrative of Mafia 2. If you're looking for a more well-polished gaming experience best to save your money.

Best Deals for Mafia II

Story has often been a minor addition to video games. Recently it has been coming into it's own with some previous and next gen games really pushing the limits of digital storytelling. When you play Mafia 2, you'll realize you have have one example of excellent story telling in a game to tell your friends about.

The game begins with an introduction of the character you will be controlling, Vito. Vito's story begins in Italy as he is part of the US Army forces tasked with invading Sicily. In this level you will get a feel for the gameplay and be introduced to the extremely intricate character that is Vito. Over the next 10-15 hours, you will take part in a story that rivals some of the best mob movies ever made. Vito's story is so compelling that you will find yourself looking forward to the next cutscene. Your friends in the game will really tear at your heartstrings at different moments and you will really feel for the characters.

So, the story is fantastic and hits a homerun, but for most, this isn't enough. Luckily, the gameplay isn't too bad. Shooting is and movement in the game is basically what you would find in any other game out there. If you have played other third person shooters then you will feel right at home with Mafia 2.

The sound is a homerun as well. The sound of the city and characters is extremely well done. Along with the sound, the graphics are top notch in some places. Occasionally you won't be wowed by the graphics but then you will see the city skyline and your jaw will drop. It's a mixed bag but one that is perfectly capable in a game of it's caliber.

The only drawback to the game is the open world. The open world is great, it just feels empty. There's nothing to do but go in some random shops and drive around. You will spend your time in between missions driving to the next story mission and nothing much else.

All in all, Mafia 2 is a great game you should check out if you like a great story in your video games.

Honest reviews on Mafia II

I am quite the fan of GTA style games. Not just the storyline but the way the game plays as far as controls etc. This game while somewhat predictable because of who made it, is exactly the kind of game I like. The graphics are fabulous. They have a somewhat dark feel to them without actually being "dark". The missions really fall into being predictable but again, fun. The camera controls are also predictable which is a good thing. I hated Alan Wake for the reason of the camera control being absolute crap, those in this game are what I am use to and gives you the ability to really look around and watch where you're going and what's going on around you.

Edited to add that the soundtrack is simply amazing. I'm not old enough to remember music from that era so I forget that there were alot of good artists back then.

Editing a second time now that I have finished the game. Wow! The ending comes fast. I wasn't expecting it when it came. I had a feeling the mission I was on might be the final mission the way it was playing out but was still surprised. The fact that there is no free play after the final mission is bad. If you wanted to collect all the collectables in the game you'd better do it before you get sent to the Observatory. There were so many open ended things in this game that they could have expanded on but didn't.

Overall this was a fun game but not worth the $60 paid for it. This was shorter than most EP's/ports for GTA games. I've said that just to give you a reference to how short this game really is. There really is little replay value in this game. Play it once and you're done.

there is a few things i dont like about this game such as the camera when i doors when you walk inside an apartment or sometimes other biulding the camera gets extremely close direclty over the shoulder of the character making it harder on my eyes atleast and harder to see whats around you, also there isnt much of a free mode everytime you end a mission you pretty much start another but i will say this im only on chapter 9 so maybe that changes, and i have the feeling that this game is going to be short and not as long as say GTA 4 which i hope isnt the case but like i said i have the feeling it is. that said the graphics are great and the way the have the story mode set up you see yourself having trouble putting the controller down, i like the fighting sequences in the game and the cars are pretty nice to drive . that said i would say this is a buy if you are into these type of games like i am.

UPDATE: A small patch came in today, and the motion controls seem somewhat better, and difficulty appears somewhat tweaked.. esp. in boxing. There may be other fixes, but I'll up from 2-3 stars.

It seems that much like with the Wii launch some developers have made some inferior games to cash in. I would place Motionsports in this category.

There are some fun games in here so it's not a complete disaster.

On the good side -

Skiing

Equestrian

Hanggliding

Football

are all decent although football and equestrian are almost "turn based" (seems as this was a design decision not a function of the hardware) as you must perform your move well before the motion actually happens which is odd since Skiing and hanggliding are both extremely responsive.

On the diaster/broken mechanics side I would place Boxing and Soccer. Boxing difficulty seems ridiculous. You can connect with many punches on just the second boxer after the "tutorial" boxer and if he hits you a couple of times you're going down. In soccer the setup for kicking the ball pretty much breaks the gameplay as it is extremely difficult to tell where exactly on your floor you need to kick. It does say "shoot" but only for a very brief moment.

There is also no online multiplayer (I believe there is in Microsoft sports) so the game gets a negative there.

Also, there is no broader game.. would be nice if they could have included some sort of party game setup so the minigames don't feel so detached.

Do not buy this game. I just got the Kinect and wanted to try a sports title.. unfortunately I bought this game and was very disappointed! If you finish any stage in the game you have to start over just to try and continue (how dumb is that ubisoft?)

Honest reviews on MotionSports: Play For Real

This game is not as much fun as it looks. It is not easy for the kids and the sensor is odd on it. I liked the hang gliding, but that is about it.

Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for MotionSports: Play For Real

This game was very frustrating at first. There two things I found you have to do with this game:

1. It does not work in the Kinect good zone. You have to have more space. It was cutting off my feet until I moved the couch and didn't respond to most jumps.

2. You have to actually watch the demos and do exactly as shown in the demo. For example in the football crouch you have to actually put your hands on the ground.

So the controls in this one are not very intuitive on this game. It definitely needs to be more forgiving. I don't like that it forces you to unlock everything. You have to go through these lame scenarios to get to the ones that are actually worthwhile. This game really seems like they mostly built half a game, or may be a quarter of a game. Like some demos they through together.

It's still somewhat fun and a good workout, but probably best to spend your money on something else.

Microsoft has announced that the new system update, scheduled to go live in November 2009, will disable all unauthorized memory units. This will be completely useless then, and even worse, any save data or profiles copied to it will be totally inaccessible. Microsoft's memory prices for the 360 are completely ludicrous, but unfortunately, now there's no other option.

If you plan or have the October 2009 Dashboard Update, don't buy this product because it no longer works. Microsoft has disabled its use supposed to keep out hackers and cheaters. Too bad for the rest of us that just wanted bigger and cheaper storage options.

I have one and loved it until it stopped working without warning. I will read the blogs next time before updating my xbox.

I just learned of this news today. I wondered why my games stopped prompting me to choose a storage device, as it always did prior to the update. This really sucks!

First thing I thought of is that it would probably only take a firmware update from Datel to remedy this. It seems they are currently working on an update. Screw you Microsoft! Make your accessories more comparable to these third party options and you wouldn't have this problem.

UPDATE 12-4-09

Datel Informed me to mail in my max memory card and they will mail it back to me when they fix this problem. They have been very responsive through email. they are aware of the problem and are working on a hardware fix. (Sorry, no user-end firmware fix, i asked them) I encourage you to contact Datel through email. they allowed me to send mine in to them without a receipt.

***UPDATE*** 6/22/11

Now with the xbox update that allows you to use a thumb drive, there is no need to use things like this. Who doesn't have a bunch of 2gig sticks laying around these days?

Don't use unauthorized Xbox 360 Storage Devices

When Preview Program members start receiving the Xbox 360 system update next week, one of the changes is that unauthorized Memory Units will no longer work with the Xbox 360. If you've moved your profile or saved games onto one to "back it up," you'd better move it back onto an authorized Xbox 360 storage device prior to taking the update. I just finished an hour of playing this Interactive TV show with my four-year old daughter. First of all, the game actually works! This should be a given with any game, but so many Kinect games simply have poor motion detection. This one is very sensitive, which is great when you have young kids who are not extremely adept at maneuvering. One segment has a mirror appear on screen, reflects your child and then the character on-screen changes into a shirt that matches the color of the shirt your child is wearing. This impressed even a hard-core gamer such as myself. As with any Kinect game, being in a well-lit room is required.

The interactive TV shows are very entertaining. There is more watching than interacting, but it this billed as an interactive TV show more than it is a game, so I'll not dock it for that. The graphics are great, audio is excellent and, again, the controls work very well. There are two discs of content and each show has a good number of chapters which you can stop and restart at any time. If you have a Kinect and have kids who love Sesame Street, this is a must have "Game". You will have a blast watching your kids interact with their favorite characters, yell and point when they see clues they are told to look for and clap with excitement when their favorite character appears on screen to play with them. My daughter loves it, she is pulling at me to play more as I type. Maybe one more round before bedtime... OK, so it is pretty fun for adults as well.

This is one of those things where once you see it, you immediately lament not having had it in your own childhood! The episodes can be enjoyed interactively, or passively, and are well thought out. The pacing of it even is simultaneously clever yet educational, for example there was one part of an episode which had my 2 year old jumping very actively, and the section immediately following had them stand still while the count, well, counted to a specific number. This is neither a "game" nor a "TV Show" but a really neat merging of the two in to something else entirely. Highly recommended.

Best Deals for Kinect Sesame Street TV - Xbox 360

This arrived in the mail just before bedtime and we tried out an episode. It is, as billed, not a game, but interactive TV which is really cool. It's mostly watching but with audience participation and you never know when you will appear on the screen. The motion sensor worked surprisingly well and shoots pictures and even places you into Elmo's World. My 4.5 year old loved it and the 1 year old gt excited too. All children's TV should be interactive like this!

Honest reviews on Kinect Sesame Street TV - Xbox 360

My four year old loves this. It is the perfect blend of watching and playing. She can relax and enjoy watching Sesame Street and then throughout she gets to get up and interact with the characters oftentimes with her image superimposed on the scene. It's not as tiring or involved as the pure games but it is much more active and fun for them than just watching TV. I hope that this is the future of children's TV.

You get 8 episodes per season (there are currently 2 seasons); I believe that this will get you season 1. Rather than buying this disc, if your xbox has harddrive space, I would recommend that you just go download the free Sesame Street TV video app and then purchase the episodes or seasons you want. They will then stream to you or you can download them to your harddrive. Each episode is 400 points; each season is 2400 points.

My only other comment is not to get excited about the graphics. For the most part they remain nick cartoon standard, but certian sequences are meant to look like paper cutouts and look like exactly that.
