This game was terrible. The gameplay was aweful and not engaging at all. The kinect, which is awesome in some aplications, does NOT work well in this game. The characters in the game are, oddly enough, distinctly feminine and look like what I would guess to be the programmer's idealized and projected self image. The dialog is a string of terrible one liners.
I literally got it, played it for 10 minutes, then walked away for a bit thinking "am I missing something or is this game this terrible?" I then went back to it, played it for a couple minutes, and decided I wasted enough time. While the seller was good with fast deliver, the game itself was a castrated version of call of duty.
The company who created this should be ashamed of themselves. This is the first review I think I've made on amazon, but it found that it was worth taking the time out of my busy schedule to make this public announcement.
HORRIBLE.

I picked this game up for $8, and for that I'd say it was WELL WORTH IT...First off, this IS the future. The game is amazing in how it handles cover. I actually find myself using training techiques like "slicing a room".
The tactics are very cool, having to duck behind or below cover. The downside of the game is the aiming with hand is a little imperfect. It is a RAILS game and not a free flow game, but that's okay.
What this game REALLY needs is light gun compatibility. If I could aim to shoot this game would so rock.

It's an OK shooter. I got it for the interaction with the kinect. Moving around and being a bit more active than just sitting there playing the regular shooter games.Honest reviews on Blackwater - Xbox 360
I'm going to ignore who Blackwater is to avoid all political talk other then to say, I purposely bought this used at Gamesto, though I still brought it back. This is a very budget title. Horrible graphics, writing/plot, acting, repetitive shooting on rails gameplay. This is the usual shovelware that brings down a peripheral or console & insulting its' customers. I'm not expecting Halo or Gears of War, but better then good Wii graphics would be great.
Menu:
You can calibrate your reticule, but I found leaving as is worked for me best. The menu gives little options, you have many useless "checkpoints", but the game is only broken down about three points that any death won't send you all the way back to the beginning. There are three difficulty choices. You can calibrate reticule, a/v settings.
Gameplay:
It's the usual on rails shooter. There are ammo, grenades, path choices, wall & statue collectables, etc. to shoot to pick up. You do pull back your whole body left/right/down to take cover as you can't be shot much before you die & AI do shoot at you decently, that you do have to take cover. Hiding behind cover to not get shot will bring your health back, but it can be hard to find the right angle to take cover w/o getting shot. Having to move your body is a great addition that no shooter game had before which adds more real-life difficulty b/c you hand will always move away from targets like real life. The AI for the enemies, etc. are not smart at all, many bugs, disappearing items, etc.
They change the gameplay a bit w/the path choices, riding in a truck & changing characters you play as you go by gun choice: sniper, machine gun & shotgun.
Controls:
You point with one arm & it automatically shoots when the reticule is on person. This is a bad choice as shooting could be handled by the other hand like Cabela's Adventure Camp shooting mini games that have you bring the other hand from your chest down to shoot. You reload by slapping your elbow which works well & you can throw grenades. When I first played, my reticule was wobbly & slid like it was ice. I read up on the 'net that when that happens, restart the xbox & the next time, it was almost as steady as any mouse. You also have quick time events of jumping from rooftop to rooftop & kicking down doors.
You can also use the regular xbox controller for all gameplay, but it takes getting used to using the right stick to take cover & in the beginning it's very easy, but as you get 1/2 through it, the controls seems a bit slow.
Multiplayer:
Up to 8 local taking turns on challenges, no online play.
Why did I bring it back? The company who this is based on, the poor graphics for an HD console, the auto shooting, bad programming & it just was not fun. This could have been so much better & more fun with the right company & good programming. I'd love to have Raving Rabbids shooting mini games use this with their plungers.
