In last few years, this is the only good kart game that is not developed by Nintendo. Perfect blend of Nascar and Kart racing. The game includes a wide set of teams and drivers. Developers have done justification for both Kart racing and Nascar. Just only one oval track, rest of them are kart styled ones. The game from out side may look like a poor mans Mario Kart, it is not. Similar to actual Nascar bump drafting, you can get a power boost by following another car closely.

You will get very good mileage too. There is 12 tracks, all bi-directional. All of them are well suited for multi-player modes. It includes a wide assortment of multi-player modes too. The controls are perfect, I am very amazed by the accuracy. You can use your wheel or just regular controller set to play the game. Graphics are in par with Mario Kart. This is better than all the other nascar games that EA has published, a welcome change.

Anyone who begins a review with something such as "I put it back in the box after only ten minutes" is a knee-jerk gaming dolt. We want a review, not a cheap opinion. Dr. B offers very little in his negative rating. I agree that there may be a few superficially high ratings here, but it is evident that he, and a few others, have not played the game very much. The graphics and controls are fine, though the graphics indeed suffer in 3-4 player mode. There are three difficulty levels, and a myriad of unlockable tracks and trophies. You will discover that if you attempt to unlock all of the tracks that there are several extremely difficult "challenges" that can require several hours or even days to surpass; thus you may need to seek some advice or "cheats" to complete a series. So what if there is a similarity with Mario Kart? The weapons, etc., are well suited to the Nascar theme. The cheap critics pan the game as similar to Mario Kart and the rip its most distinctive attribute as "stupid." As others have maintained, the team concept makes this game remarkably unique and enjoyable. My kids have played it since the day it was released and have not grown tired of it, or Mario Kart. In fact, one could make a good argument that both Nascar and Mario Kart are must-haves for the Wii.

I enjoyed this game a lot. It's a real solid racer. It borrows a lot from Mario Kart, but if you're going to mimic someone, then you should mimic the best. NASCAR Kart Racing has a lot of NASCAR personality. I played this game with my family all weekend and we had a really good time. The controls felt really good to me too. Good job EA.

Honest reviews on NASCAR Kart Racing - Nintendo Wii

Nascar Kart Racing has a very small learning curve, so you can start racing right away. It's more like Mario Kart with Nascar drivers than a true Nascar simulation. The tracks are fun to race on, with only one oval track Talladega. Other tracks are partially familiar, Dover and Bristol, but have been modified quite a bit. With 3 difficulty levels, 4 player racing, and reverse tracks, it's fun for players of any age group.

This game is fun ... really, really fun. I actually enjoy it slightly more than Mario Kart Wii. That may sound blasphemous to some, but the AI in Mario Kart Wii can be controller-throwingly cheap and frustrating. With NASCAR Kart Racing, the AI seems much fairer, while still providing a fun challenge. As another reviewer said, playing against the AI feels like playing with other people.

NASCAR Kart Racing features teammate gameplay, where you work with a computer-controlled teammate to build boost and perform a slingshot maneuver. This is a simplified, arcade version of the drafting that happens in real-world NASCAR races, and it adds a nice NASCAR flair while helping differentiate the game from Mario Kart.

The game controls very well, whether with the Wii Wheel, Wii Remote with Nunchuck, or GameCube controller. (It also supports the classic controller, but I haven't tried it.) The tracks are also well designed, with jumps, shortcuts, and a few other surprises (such as falling rocks that you have to dodge). Oh yeah, and right turns. Lots of right turns.

This is also a great game to play with friends and family. Split-screen multiplayer is a trash-talking, rocket-throwing, rollicking good time.
