What's the first thing a company does when they know that they have a huge hit on their hands? How about try to rake in a few extra bucks with the least amount of effort put in? That's the way that Watchmen: The End is Nigh plays. The game looks beautiful, the characters are rendered in stunning HD graphics and the environments are too. These are the only good things that the game has going for it however. The gameplay is boring and tedious. The combos do not vary much and new techniques learned do not feel beneficial since simple button-mashing still suffices. Constantly throwing opponents works better than anything else, along with attacking them while they are on the ground. The later special moves feel unresponsive, and as stated earlier, do not vary a whole lot. The AI is rather slow as well resulting in easy encounters with dull enemies. There might still be fun within this game, seeing as I still played it despite these flaws, however I would not recommend anyone to buy this game unless they absolutely loved the movie, like I did. If you're a major Watchmen fan then you can definitely get past these flaws otherwise I say to please save your money.

Wathcmen the end is nigh is basically a streets of rage beat em up which in this game it works watchmen the end is nigh parts 1 and 2 that was once a dlc but is now a disc form of the game the story takes place before the movie not very sure about were it takes place before the comic bookPros of the game
You get to play as Rorschach or night owl and get to experience there different fighting styles Rorschach i think is the best of the 2 only because he can use weapons
-Its is way cheaper to buy it on Xbox 360 and ps3 than Xbox live and PlayStation network
-You can play co-op with a friend but only split-screen
-It has both parts which makes the game last long both parts has different story lines which make them different than each other but part 2 is shorter than 1
-It is very fun to play this game it has different power ups and combos for each character to knock out enemies
-Every level has different paths so it would separate the two and change game play
-Every level has different enemies and different ways to fight them so game play never gets old
This game for me was very fun and awesome diffidently money well spent which for me i only spent 10 dollars which cost way less than a dlc if you dont really like beat em up then you wont really like this game i would recommend that you watch game play to see if this game is for you

I was excited to play this game after seeing the movie, but I was really disappointed. The environments all look the same and there are only a few kinds of bad guys. To sum up the whole game you walk around and beat up bad guys. Not much of a plot besides that.Honest reviews on Watchmen: The End is Nigh - Part 1 & 2 - Xbox 360
Bought this several days ago and played it a little today..... had to wait till I was in the mood to play and the kids where out of the house, okay what to say?Loved the movie this game is based on, and I always wanted to be Roscach, so I really like the Game... it has the same Gritty feel of the movie.... its Very Dark, literally very dark, sometimes too dark as its hard to navigate your character through the darkness, sometimes your beating on a perp and you get into the darkness and you can't see what you're doing, the lock picking subgame is nifty and is a good little break from the violence of the Main game, thought its also a little hard to do would have liked to see other characters from the movie, maybe Silk spectre II, or the Comedian. though I guess the Game Explores Roscach and Nite Owl II's Partnership, Spectre and Manhattan make an Apearance or 2, I'm not too far into the game so I don't know whether other masks make apearances
all in all I'm Glad I bought the game, its better than some beat em ups, not as good as others
I feel it was well worth the investment of $12.50 as I got both parts of the game, it would be around that for each for part one, and two of the Pc versionm if I could even find the PC version, if you want something a little different, this is the game for you, if your a fan of the movie, and the Graphic Novel, this is the game for you, if not then you probably shouldn't buy it.... you may be disapointed.... I like it, I think I got value, and when all's said and done thats all a person can say.

This game offers satisfying melee combat, and literally nothing else. That's not quite fair -it looks great for the most part, and the writing is absolutely top-notch. The story is interesting, and the incidental dialogue between the two playable characters and even from the enemies is surprisingly entertaining. But when it comes to the actual gameplay, you'll realize after about half an hour that you have done pretty much everything the game will let you do. You're supposedly working to unravel some big conspiracy, but you accomplish that by walking through uninteresting urban mazes and beating up uninteresting, anonymous enemies with the same basic moves for the entire game. Even your standard "find a way to open the door" puzzles just require you to look around for a few seconds until you find the necessary lever or whatever, and there's never any variation on the combat.
It's disappointing that you never get to play any characters besides Rorschach and Nite Owl (although they are pretty well done), and that even with those two you never do anything like, say, fight someone with a gun. That's really my biggest gripe with this game, that none of the enemies who are trying to kill you ever pull out a gun, even when they're police officers or mercenaries. The boss of episode 1 is literally wearing a flamethrower during your entire battle, and the main impact that has on the fight is that you can't punch him in the back because of the big gas tank. Seriously. He only actually uses it at the very end of the sequence, and he does so in the dumbest way possible.
So why did I give this three stars? Because I did really enjoy the melee combat in short doses. Some of the finishing moves are fun to watch even after you've seen them 50 times. (There's one Rorschach does that I like to call "Nut Spank" -cracks me up every time.) It's kind of a button masher, but not really more so than your average God of War clone. And it's cheap. I think it's worth the price for something to play after work for half an hour or so every now and then when you just want to blow off some steam but you're not in the mood for a shooter.
EDIT: I dropped my rating by a star because I stopped playing this after a couple weeks and haven't had any desire in the months since to pick it up again. You can almost certainly find something with more replay value to spend a similar amount of money on.
