Don't understand why this title isn't more celebrated. Aesthetically beautiful, tons of tracks/drivers to choose from and while the handling isn't perfect it's totally playable. The music isn't particularly memorable, but it isn't horrible either. But forget all that, get four controllers, three other people and a few hours later you'll have no regrets with this purchase.

The biggest reason I kept my Wii around was Mario Kart and Smash Brothers. With this, I can cross one of those games off of my list of "reasons to keep my wii". It's a very fun game, uses a proper controller!
